Speaker 1 (00:01):
What if Issue thirty eight, What if Thor had become
a thrall of Seth? Written by Roy Thomas, penciled by
William Marshall, rogers inked by Sam Dela Rosa, lettered by
Janis Chang, and colined by Renee Winterstadter. As we enter
part four of Time Quake, we find ourselves in the

(00:24):
royal halls of Asgard, but all is not as it
should be. Odin, All, father of the Norse god, stands
bound in enchanted chains, a prisoner before the throne, now
occupied by the Egyptian death god Seth. The golden grandeur
of Asgard has fallen under a dark and foreign reign.

(00:47):
Seth triumphant, presides over the conquest with smug satisfaction, having
subdued even the might of Odin. The former ruler of
the gods, once unmatched in power and wisdom, is now
silenced in high once loyal subjects are either slain, broken,
or serving this new master. The grim Tableau is not

(01:08):
just a tragedy for Asgard. It's part of a larger
multiverse unraveling. The watcher observes as this timeline, twisted by
the corruption of its nexus being, becomes the fourth critical
disturbance in the fabric of reality. The timekeeper's worst fears
are unfolding as yet another timeline tilts dangerously towards collapse.

(01:31):
The Watcher observes the timeline unfold he realizes the dire
situation and this altered reality. Odin is the crucial nexus being. Recently,
the Egyptian god of Death Seth, launched an assault on Asgard,
and this version of events, Odin is now ensnared by Seth,
who has taken the form of a massive serpent. With

(01:53):
Odin moments from death, The Timekeepers confirm that if Odin perishes,
their cause and perhaps reality itself, is doomed. Yet their
cold logic justifies these sacrifices in the name of preserving
the timeline, even as another time Keeper vanishes, leaving only one.
Desperation is mounting as they consult the kronosphere, the battle

(02:17):
of the Egyptian Realm of Death is revealed. Thor Sith
and the Warriors three are engaged in brutal combat with
Seth's demonic legions. Their valor is not enough, Fandral falls
first impaled by a cursed spear. Hogan dies shortly after
urging his comrades not to risk themselves. Sith's anguished cry

(02:39):
reaches Thor's ears, and together they fight to avenge their
fallen brothers, determined to make their enemies pay in blood.
Just then, the monstrous Grog, the god crusher, servant of Seth,
arrives on the battlefield, proclaiming his intent to destroy Thor.
Sith courageously stands in his way, attacking with fury to
protect her beloved. For a fleeting moment, it seems like

(03:01):
she might triumph, but Grog is too powerful. He strikes
her down, boasting of his brutal title. Thor, watching helplessly,
swears vengeance and curses his own inability to help her
in time. Thor, desperate to save Odin, battles through Seth's
forces and reaches his father, who is clearly weakened and

(03:22):
nearly unresponsive. But before he can do anything, Seth himself appears,
mockings Thor and reminding that he has sworn vengeance ever
since Thor cost him his right hand. As Seth blast
Thor from behind, he loses consciousness. Thor awakens chained in
a dungeon, where Seth gloats and introduces the players who

(03:43):
helped Odin and enthrall the wizard Grog and a traitorous Loki.
Grog also reveals another prisoner, the goddess Carmela, who fought
to avenge her lover Balder but fell to Grog's strength.
Carnella is now tormented refuses even to speak to a captor. Meanwhile,
Seth and Lopi mock the imprisoned Thor. Loki in his

(04:06):
usual sly manner, exchanges barbs with Seth, who takes pleasure
in letting Thor stew in his defeat while his allies
are slaughtered. Above the scene cuts to a new wave
of destruction as Seth targets the Celtic gods, signaling a
widespread annihilation of pantheons to come. The various sky fathers
of different pantheons all gather in a neutral realm. Disturbed

(04:31):
by Seth's brazen assault on other gods. Zeus expresses disbelief
that one god would attack another's pantheon, and that consider
taboo among the divine, but the situation is urgent and
their debate begins. The gods recall past conflicts, such as
Olympuses clash with Asgar, but they agree the past incidents

(04:51):
pale in comparison to Seth's aggression. They weigh their responsibilities
and recall their prior alliances with Thor, realizing they cannot
let sin That's offenses go unpunished. What Caudal questions whether
other death gods might exist in their ranks, what Set's
counterparts might do, and whether acting against one could disrupt

(05:12):
a greater balance elsewhere. Methista reveals he has already spoken
to many other underworld gods like Pluto and Hella, and
rallied support. A coalition is forming. The gods agree. Unless
Asgard can save itself swiftly, their combined pantheonic forces will
rise up against Seth. However, cosmic forces take notice. The

(05:35):
Watcher and one of the Timekeepers observe the threat this
divine war opposes to all reality. The Timekeeper warns that
if Odin is rescued from outside time, it may unravel
time itself. He vows to prevent such an erasure, even
if it means standing against any who try. Watch who

(05:55):
departs not to interfere, but to observe these epochal events
on As the night falls, heavily upon besieged Asgard. As
Seth's grip on Asgard Titans, even odins One's mighty palace
has been reduced to a vulgar tavern for the conquering forces.
One such reveler, the hulking god Crusher Grog, drunkenly stumbles

(06:17):
through the ruins, slurring his words and mumbling about Carnella.
Vulnerable and off guard, he barely realizes he's being watched
until a feral figure explodes from the shadows. Wolverine strikes
fast and vicious, his claws slashing through Grog's defenses with
lethal precision. The warrior barely has time to react before

(06:38):
he's silenced forever, his throat shredded beyond repair. As Grog's
body hits the ground, two more shadows stepped from the darkness,
silent allies, moving in lockstep behind Wolverine. The resistance has begun.
Elsewhere in the captured realm, the chained thunder God endures
haunts from Egron sets emboldened sorcerers, mocking force previous transformation

(07:04):
into a frog, and doubting his strength, Igrin unleashes his magic,
but Thor is undeterred. With a roar of defiance, he
shatters his chains and surges forward, his strength diminished but
not broken, and a flash of lightning and fury. Thor
is hit with a devastating blow that sends him flying. Thor,
weary and drained, finds Egren more of a challenge than

(07:26):
he expected. Just as the evil Sorcerer prepares to turn
Thor into a toad for eternity, a thunderous crasher interrupts
his spell casting. Bewildered, Igron unleashes his magic against the intruder,
but to his shock, the spell has no effect. The
mysterious new arrival is unfazed, revealing with a rye comment

(07:47):
that they aren't from Asgard. This newcomer swiftly subdues Igron
with a powerful energy blast. Thor, freed from his shackles,
expresses his gratitude and asks to see his rescuer. When
the armored figure steps forward forward, Thor is stunned. The
stranger looks like Iron Man, but this is no Tony Stark,
Introducing himself as Iron Droid, He gestures to his companions,

(08:10):
an alternate version of Doctor Doom and a very familiar
but slightly different Wolverine. The group explains that they come
from parallel realities. They observed Thor's plight from another dimension
and intervened at a crucial moment. Thor, slowly regaining his strength,
tries to make sense of their presence and identities. Doom
reveals he too is a variant, and that each of

(08:33):
them was pooled from their respective earths by a mysterious
force known only as the Whisperer. With the pieces falling
into place, Thor realizes that this may be the beginning
of something far greater than a mere rescue. The Whisperer,
revealed to be a mysterious figure operating behind the scenes,
explains the Thor and the others why he has brought

(08:54):
them together. Each of them plays a vital role in
the looming battle to come. Hence that, with only limited
aid from him, two previous realities have been salvaged, while
one has been lost. And now the cosmic balanced teeters
on the brink As he cryptically explains the stakes, even
the mighty Thwar struggles to grasp his meaning. Elsewhere, at

(09:16):
the Citadel at the end of time, the last surviving
Timekeeper watches the unfolding events and finally realizes the identity
of his enemy, the Whisperer. Yet even with all his power,
the Timekeeper cannot fully pierce the layers of mystery cloaking
the whisperer's true self. Realizing the situation is becoming more
fragile by the moment, he knows he must soon act directly. Meanwhile,

(09:40):
in Asgard, Loki and Seth stand over a captive Odin
strapped to a monstrous machine. Seth eagerly awaits the moment
when he can drain the remaining power from the all
Father and become supreme over both the Odin sphere and
another realm. Loki, ever pragmatic, admits he would have preferred
to take a no longer beholden to God or kings,

(10:02):
but he'll setter for one that's shared if that means power.
Despite their alliance, there's an uneasy tension between the two,
made more sinister by the looming presence of their captive. Suddenly,
chaos erupts as iron Droid, vampire, wolverine, doctor dooman Thor
smashed through the defenses and confront the villains. As combat begins,

(10:23):
Loki panics, realizing their god power siphoning machine is vulnerable.
The time Keeper intercedes to preserve the fragile web of time.
He summons a deadly enforcer, a Protectroid from the end
of time. The towering machine lands with explosive force, immediately
striking Iron Droid and launching into battle against the time

(10:44):
displacee heroes, and the fate of the time stream is
still hanging in the balance as the battle, rageous Thor
hurls himself at Seth with thunderous force, their godly blows
shaking the very walls of time itself. Doom confronts Loki,
matching wits with technology against trickery and divine arrogance. The

(11:05):
contest between them, man versus God, is as unbalanced as
it is intense, Yet Doom fights with resolve, refusing to yield. Meanwhile,
vampire Wolverine strikes with animal ferocity, sinking his claws into
Loki and forcing the Tricks to God into a rare
moment of panic. Realizing the threat posed by this unrelenting predator,

(11:27):
Loki flees, choosing cowardice over continued combat. Elsewhere, the Protectroid
lashes out in a final surge of electricity, momentarily overwhelming Irondroid,
but the tide turns when Irondroid locates a single vulnerable
wire in the machine system with precision and force, he
severs it, disrupting the Protectroid's power. The once mighty enforcer

(11:50):
of the Timeline crashes down, defeated, who Or not finished
reclaims me own here and unleashes its full fury upon Seth.
Out of Death, is struck with a devastating blow, his
stolen might proving no match for the thunder God's divine weapon.
Seth reels and pain still defiant, vowing that while he lives,

(12:12):
he will prevail. But Thor, fueled by vengeance for the
assault on Odin and the threat to Asgard, delivers a
crushing blow, sending Seth hurtling through the rubble and ruin.
The heroes are gaining ground, and the god power siphoning
machine is no longer safe. As the dust settles from
the clash, our heroes regroup. Thor, battered but unbroken, cradles

(12:35):
the injured. All fodder, Iron Droid and Vampire Wolverine stand nearby,
bruised but victorious, and Doom, silent and brooding, keeps watch,
already anticipating the next threat. Elsewhere, the last of the
timekeepers who could recall what had just transpired, vanishes, erased,
from existence, and the chamber where sets once stood, a

(12:58):
mysterious road figure known only as the Whisperer emerges. He
commends his champions for the victory, and through the cryptic language,
reveals a deeper manipulation at play. Then, in a flash
of golden energy, the Whisperer sheds his disguise. It is
a Mortis, master of time itself. The supposed prisoner of

(13:21):
the Timekeepers, reveals he had been playing a long game,
hidden in plain sight and using the chaos to orchestrate
his escape. As the stunned hebroes watch, Immortus declares his
supremacy over time and vanishes into the time stream, leaving
them deceived and powerless to stop them. Meanwhile, at the
time variants authority, chaos continues to erupt. Bureaucrats argue over

(13:46):
the consequences of Immortis's escape, some dismissing it as a
necessary purge and others realizing the catastrophic implications. Most alarmingly,
the Timekeepers are now missing. Fingers point aki'snations fly. As
the secretaries of Time bicker, they overlook the growing shadow
of a new timeline of unraveling around the immortis Is free,

(14:09):
the timeline is vulnerable, and the true battle for control
over time itself has only just begun. Thanks for being
