Right, I got a special guest. My brother Champ is in the building.
I cannot wait for him to comehome for this interview. Another entrepreneur
interview, Nothing but fire when wedo this, right, I love the
community and I can't wait to seehim. So the media min scores at
(00:23):
two pm today talking about creating powerfulfriendships. Champ, I appreciate you,
brother, Let's go. I don'tknow if I just wanted better for my
kids and I saying we was fromthe projects. But every time I want
to lay away on the project. My dad to say when we see close
closer eye thought like Will Smith andhis son in the movie. I ain't
talking about the rich one because everysummer he get some brand new headbrace scheme
(00:46):
to get rich fad And I don'tknow what he did for Dough. He
had some election more where the NewWar drove it? Hey, hey,
hey, I think he did heever bought it back to the crib.
When I do these fire entrepreneur interviews, right, I make sure it's nothing
(01:08):
but fire guests that come through.Right, I got another fire guests coming
on, right, My brother.Chant. I think he just stepped in
the building and it's goant to beanother and then entrepreneur interview. Then he
just stepped in chant brother, canyou please introduce yourself and you know,
introduce yourself to my audience? Man, tell them, tell them who you
(01:30):
are, brothers, whom you We'lldo y'all, y'all know about braationing This
your boy chanp math Hoop is myexpert opinion yk TV magazine running around with
the presidential candidate Robert F. KennedyJr. Overall great connective, overall master
CONSULTI marking and advertising. Unima.Oh, I told you I got had
(01:51):
someone special in here, very important, so Chap. My first question for
you man on the show is whatdoes collaboration mean to you and how do
you use it in your fit andhow do you go about that collaboration.
It's on you, bro, Collaboration. Collaboration is key senolid relationships. One
of the main things that I dois make sure that I meet somebody on
(02:14):
their terms as well as negotiation, negotiating what my terms are in the relationship,
and the reciprocation has to be ona using basis, but not misusing
each other, so that way wedon't have any discrepancies. But trust,
honesty, transparency, transparency is very, very key in establishing these type of
(02:35):
relationships. Oooh yeah, I heardchamp right. I'm telling you you got
to use people, but not misusepeople. I love that shit. My
next question for you is, man, what do you tell someone that wants
to do exactly what you're doing. They want to be a connector they want
to be on a show, doa podcast, start a clothed in line.
What's something you would tell someone tryingto come up that's in your footsteps
(02:59):
on you cham, I would tellthem to just be authentic man, like,
know what your value is. Makesure you do your homework within this
perspective field that you wish to goin. Myself being formally incarcerated. While
I was incarcerated, I made sureI did my homework in marketing. I
(03:19):
went to school. That's very important, getting your education. I got my
bachelor's degree in liberal arts. ButI knew that I would be in an
entertainment field and the publication field,so I did all the homework I needed
to do. I sacrificed a lot, I lost a lot of money,
but I was able to get throughthe bumps and bruises and actually somewhat master
the craft and take the craft andand help others once I came home from
(03:44):
prison, and them getting themselves ina in certain productive situations and succeeding.
My main thing was my question Iwould always ask prior to linking with an
artist or entertainer, is you know, how can I make this person money?
Because they have all kinds of peoplearound them doing all kind of stuff.
(04:04):
So I had to find a niche, and my niche was, you
know, the prison magazine. Andonce I found that niche, even though
there were other publications in the market, I was able to present it in
a certain way that they found valuableand it essentially helped them make money as
well. So the key thing islike do your homework. Do your homework
(04:28):
and any prospective field that you're tryingto get into, but also, you
know, work to get your educationand make sacrifices, make them sacrifices and
get that education. Y'all hair Champion, Yeah, I sold y'all had a
special guest. Now my next questionfor you, Champ, is there's a
lot of new things and innovations comingout everyday. New technology. How are
(04:50):
you using these new innovations and howyou staying above the wave and the trends
nowadays because everything comes out so fastas ais CHATCHI mean, se all this
stuff that comes out on the internet, how are you using these innovations and
you know, keeping up with everything? Over to you, brother, Well
don't I don't really tap into likeall of the crazy innovations. I have
(05:13):
somewhat of an old school analog styleof doing things when it comes to Marten
and advertising. I feel like thekey thing is to find that one thing
that you're good at and just focusyour energies on that one thing and it
will resonate to a specific crowd. So for instance, I you know,
I'm a mass show and all that, but outside the show I created,
(05:35):
you know, these short blogs onInstagram called on the Count where I'm telling
prisons, real prison stories or thingsthat I went through it and it's catching
a lot of traction because people wantto hear about what goes on in prison
and the stories. I have awhile, so I know that that's a
lane that I'm in that I knowto the tenth power, So I stick
(05:58):
to it and I just I'm justconsistent with it as far as posting this
type of content, giving people thesestories, and I'm actually seeing the reaction
from people. They want to hearmore, they want to see more.
So my thing would be sticking tothat one thing that you know and being
very consistent with content like daily justconcrete putting up content content. That's what
(06:19):
Wallo did, That's what Joe Buddendid. That's what all the greats in
a podcast and entertaining well have done. They stay consistent on the one thing
that they're good at. Who stayingconsistent? That's what it is champs to
ain't consistent that what you're good at, and that's what it's about. My
next question, what was that thingin your mind that just made it click
(06:43):
for you? You was like,Yo, this is it for me.
I'm going to be a connector I'mgoing to do this when I get it,
like you know what I mean, because you know you was incarcerated.
What was that thing that said damnas soon as I get out or even
earlier on in your life. Whatwas something that clicked and you was like,
Yo, this is me. Thisis what I'm going to do,
and I'm going I know, regretson it well for me, it wasn't
it wasn't one. It wasn't onething. It was multiple things. One
(07:06):
was my great grandmother passing away whileI was incarcerated in twenty sixteen. That
helped shift my mindset and my spiritinto a most positive direction. And learning
the craft and mastering it then alsowhen getting my education while I was in
prison is another thing that helped shiftmy spirit. I actually elevated it.
(07:27):
Those two things mainly is what helpedme shift. And I just stayed consistent
and I stayed on top of it. Besides that, it was just making
sure I surrounded myself about with positivepeople that were constantly involving, Like I
didn't want to be around people thatwere stagnant. Even when I came home
from prison. And you know, the people I grew up with that's out
here in the free world, butthey were in the same place, some
(07:48):
of them, not all of them. So I put myself around the people
that that evolved over the second yearsthat I was gone. They owned businesses,
they they're they're very productive, andthey're they're not selfish with information.
They don't mind teaching you something inorder for you to elevate. So those
(08:09):
are the three key things, youknow, my great grandmother passing me,
getting my education, my bachelor's degreein liberal arts, and then surrounding myself
with people that are constantly evolving aswell. You need to surround yourself with
those people. Champ always as mynext question for you as man, what
(08:30):
do you see yourself in the nextfive years with your brand and what you're
doing. Have you thought in thefuture. Have you thought about any new
accomplishments. Will you see yourself inthe next five years. Within the next
five years, I feel like Ifeel like going hold on one segment.
Hold on. What I see inthe next five years is like me becoming
(08:54):
like mobil established because I've done somuch for so many people in the industry
like that people don't even know, they don't even understand. I'm going to
be at that status where it's likeI'm on the cover of Forbes, I'm
on the cover of like the bigbusiness magazines because I sacrificed so much of
my time, energy and creativity tohelp these people evolve without getting a payout.
(09:18):
So I think in the next fiveyears, it's going to be my
brain's evolving and taking the cost ofsetting an example for other people. And
it's going to show, and it'sgoing to be highlighted. And I'm actually
going to be a resource that peopleare going to need in contrast to wanting
in order to get to the nextlevel exactly. Champ. Look, I
(09:41):
don't told y'all how to fire. It's been nothing but facts. Right.
What's something new you've got coming out, Champ? You got any new things
you want to promote? Man,any things we should be looking out for
twenty twenty four. Bro go aheadand tap yourself into the audience. Man,

night with some some dope creators,uh that are going to help me out
