Speaker 1 (00:04):
The strange doctor weird.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Good evening, Come in, won't you well? What's the murder?
You seem nervous tonight? Perhaps the cemetery outside my house
is upset you. But speaking of the cemetery reminds me
of a story I want to tell you about a
murderer who was dead and buried, but who kept on

(00:34):
killing people just the same. I call it revenge from
the Grave. My story, Revenge from the Grave, begins in
the suburban section of a live city. It is just

(00:57):
midnight and a full moon cast star shadows beneath the
trees that lie in the street. John Rogers, a businessman
on his way home, turns a corner stops abruptly as
a man with a scarf about his face steps out
of the shadow. Just a moment, Rogers, who are you?
What do you want? I want to talk to you,
Get out of my way, not so fast?

Speaker 3 (01:19):
A gun?

Speaker 2 (01:20):
What are you telling me with a gun for? What
have you got that scarf covering her face for? Because
my face, well, my looks have changed in the month
since I was executed and buried. But you recognize my voice,
don't you, Rogers?

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Yes, Ronaldo the Great.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
But you you're dead.

Speaker 4 (01:40):
You died a month ago.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
In the electric chair exactly. You were a foreman of
the jury that found me guilty guilty of murder. So no,
John rogers strange death remained a complete mystery to the
police from my and then early one evening, a pale

(02:03):
faced young man called upon Henry Wilson, the district attorney
who had successfully convicted Ronaldo the Great, to tell him
a story. It, Wilson fans, quite impossible to believe.

Speaker 5 (02:15):
Now wait a minute, let me get this straight. You
say your name is Walter Jones and that you used
to be assistant to Ronaldo the Great.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
That's like, mister Wilson, I was a assistant for three years.

Speaker 5 (02:25):
I see you, and you're trying to tell me that
last month Ronaldo climbed out of his grave and murdered
John Rogers.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Is that it?

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Yes, he've seen mister Wilson today Ronaldo's execution. I visited
him at the prison he'd sent for me to see,
and I can still hear.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
His voice as he greeted it.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Well, Walter, so you came, Yes, Ronaldo, what can I
do for you tomorrow? After I'm gone? You must get
the names and addresses of the judge, the prosecutor, and
the twelve jurymen who sent me to my death. Names
in the dresses, yes, them down in my secret notebook,

(03:01):
and be sure to bury that notebook with me. I
don't understand. Each month, on the night of the full moon,
I shall return from my grave to execute one of
the fourteen. I shall not sleep in peace until they're
all dealt with.

Speaker 5 (03:23):
And did you put the names and addresses in his
coffin when he was buried?

Speaker 3 (03:27):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Now I'm positive that Ronaldo is using them to get
in touch with the fourteen many sworn to kill. Please,
mister Wilson, tonight the moon is full. Unless you do something,
Ronaldo will kill someone else, perhaps even you.

Speaker 5 (03:40):
My boy. Go home and get some sleep and forget
all this. Nobody's going to be murdered tonight by Ronaldo Spook.
I personally guarantee.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
It, only partly reassured Young Walter Jones left. District Attorney
Henry Wilson went on with his interrupted reading until he
heard the clock strike midnight, suddenly aloud knocking at his door,

(04:09):
starting him.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
All right, the Molson, Oh are you.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
You don't recognize me?

Speaker 3 (04:19):
Wilson, Not with.

Speaker 5 (04:20):
That scarf wrapped around your face.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
Now the scarf is to.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Keep from innocent passers by the sights that should remain
forever hidden within the darkness of a moldering coffin. But
my voice, surely you recognize that your.

Speaker 5 (04:35):
Voice Ronaldo the Great? Oh no, that's impossible.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Ronaldo come to call on you to night, the night
of the full moon, to kill you like this.

Speaker 6 (04:47):
May so you refused, will leave in the fall of
the Great Ronaldo, did you now, just as the others
on my list till but they show that not even
the grave can stand between them and the fate that.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
Is there, Say, doctor Weird, what kind of a doctor
are you?

Speaker 2 (05:16):
Well, I'm an MD of a different kind, doctor of normals.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Am i am a DH doctor of hats. My counsel
of all men is this If your hat's never seen
to fit properly, if you're always tugging at the brim
and fussing with the crown, Remember the trying to doctor
up a sick looking hat isn't going to remedy the case.
The best prescription is to get a hatle's design from
the start, to keep in good shape and fit neatly.

(05:44):
And Adam has made of finest quality material. Adam hats

(06:07):
of Adam hat stores and authorized dealers from coast to coast.
Now the good doctor weird.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
And now I'll continue my story Revenge from the Grave.
After the mysterious murder of District Attorney Wilson, Young Walter
Jones went to Judge Dexter, who had sentenced Ronaldo the
Great to death. He told Judge Dexter the whole story
of Ronaldo's bow of vengeance, and was greeted, as he feared,

(06:40):
with skepticism.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
Ah, Jones, you want me to believe that Ronald of
the Grave, deadn't buried for two months, emerged from his
coffin that night to strangle Wilson's true.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
I know it's true.

Speaker 5 (06:50):
You really believe that.

Speaker 4 (06:51):
Why didn't you go to the police immediately?

Speaker 2 (06:52):
They just have laughed at me. Besides, I didn't want
to believe it.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
Was true.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
But to night the moon is full again Earth, and
tonight you kill someone else.

Speaker 6 (07:01):
On us, we stop him.

Speaker 4 (07:01):
I know you. Just what do you propose we do?

Speaker 1 (07:04):
We must go to the.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
Cemetery tonight, just the two of us and open Ronaldo's coffin.
Take away that list of names and addresses that I
buried with him.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
Then he'll be helpless.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
I see you believe all this, Jones. Well, just to
set your mind at rest, I'll go to the cemetery
with you and prove to you once and for all
that Ranald of the Great is dead and quite incapable
of coming back to harm anyone.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
An hour later, the two men stood outside the small
marble mausoleum where the body of Ronaldo the Great lay
in its coffin. Arter Jones opened the door with a
key and they stepped inside. Then he shut it again
and turned on the flashlight. He adopted. Look, judge, that's
Ronaldo's coffin. Look at it, judge. It's solid bronze, and

(07:54):
it can be opened from the inside as well.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
While it's from the outside.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
From the inside, yes, that was Rinaldo's last instruction. So
it is fastened with a catch that can be worked
from the inside.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
I see well.

Speaker 4 (08:07):
We're going to open it now, and I approve to
you that, in spite of everything, what you believe is impossible.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
Right now, shine the flashlight inside you see Ronando, there's
Randa the great dead.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
If I ever saw a dead man.

Speaker 5 (08:25):
Now are you convinced?

Speaker 2 (08:26):
Look there's the notebook with the names and addresses of
the name. He's for vengeance on and in if.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
Handbook, Judge merciful heavens or Abama become he shout, John
Rodert with it.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
It must be No, No, it's impossible.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Not the flashlight.

Speaker 4 (08:41):
What's happened to it?

Speaker 2 (08:42):
Something? Something knocked it out of my hand?

Speaker 1 (08:47):
You food, you've dropped it. Pick it up and turn
it on again.

Speaker 6 (08:50):
It's blacks pigeon here.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
I oh no, Ronanda, Ah.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
Judge, what is it?

Speaker 2 (09:00):
Where are you?

Speaker 3 (09:01):
Tell?

Speaker 6 (09:01):
Answer me?

Speaker 2 (09:02):
I cannot answer you, Judge Dexter, I have silenced him
for the time being. That's your service, my dear Jude.

Speaker 5 (09:11):
No, I don't believe it.

Speaker 6 (09:13):
It's not possible.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
You're dead.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
I saw your body down in the.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Coffe I too, I am dead that I'm also alive.
It's an interesting paradox. Assistant time now for you to
suffer the feature which you sentenced me.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
Let me go, last die I call the ripe, will
die and you you won't let me go.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
I have to shoot.

Speaker 4 (09:41):

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Where am I much?

Speaker 3 (09:45):

Speaker 2 (09:46):
There now I can see Jones. Jones speak to me, said,
what happened? Okay, here's the fun so we might Yes.

Speaker 4 (10:01):
Jones, I shot you with a gun we found hidden
and Ronald's coffin.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
I had to.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
You would have killed me. If I hadn't, i'd killed you. Yes,
I kill unders, but I do.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
Now.

Speaker 4 (10:15):
Listen, my boy, that last interview you had with Ronaldo
in his cell, he hypnotized you before you left him.
He ordered you to carry out his mad scheme of
vengeance for him.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
I don't understand.

Speaker 4 (10:28):
He hypnotized you and told you that each night of
the full moon you would believe you were he Ronaldo,
that you'd talk like him and act like him. It
was you who killed John Rodgers and the district attorney,
just as you tried to kill me a moment ago.
You couldn't help with my boy.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
You were just.

Speaker 4 (10:44):
Carrying out a condemned man's diabolical scheme.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
H Jones, Jones, it's no use.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
He's gone and Ronaldo the Great, he is really dead.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
At last time.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
So that's the secret to how a dead man should
continue to kill after his death by hypnotizing his assistant
into acting for him. Who clever, wasn't it Lucky Youd
Dexter found that gun, wherefore Walter Jones had unknowingly hidden
it in Ronaldo's coffin. Ronaldo might still be coming her
life on nights of the full moon to continue his

(11:31):
diabolical plan of arrange. Hey, you weren't on that jury
that convicted Ronaldo?

Speaker 3 (11:37):
Were you?

Speaker 2 (11:38):
If you were, I certainly, Oh you have to go now.
Perhaps you visit me James soon. Just look for the
