host KEB. Pound. Today we're talking about the Oregon Duck.
The Oregon Duck, the beloved mascot of the University of Oregon,
has roots tracing back to the nineteen twenties, when students
informally used a live duck named Puddles to represent the school.
The current duck's look was inspired by Walt Disney's Donald
Duck after the university secured a handshake agreement with Disney

in nineteen forty seven. This gave the Oregon Duck its
iconic sailor outfit and mischievous personality. Over time, the mascot
evolved into a costumed character, officially debuting in the nineteen sixties.
Known for its wild antics and high energy performances, the
Oregon Duck remains one of college sports most recognizable and
