Speaker 1 (00:05):
Hey, thanks for joining us. We continue our chapter on
the Book of Proverbs, chapter twelve. I will be sharing
different insights that are found in this particular chapter. Pray
they are blessing to you. They will be. They will
be just a collection of different verses that you can

(00:29):
listen to on your daily journey. And like I said,
I pray they are blessing to you. I hope that
you are encouraged by them, inspired and continue on this
journey because it's worth it. You hear me, It's worth it.
Let's keep on going. So I normally read from a

(00:56):
New International Version Bible, but today I am going to
be sharing from amplified version. And then also alongside with
amplified version, I will be reading insights that are perhaps
found on my own journey that I wanted to share
alongside with scripture, and pray they are a blessing to you.

(01:21):
So Proverbs chapter twelve, Verse one, whoever loves instruction and
discipline loves knowledge. But he who hates reproof and correction
is stupid. Now I don't really like that word stupid,
but it is. That's what it says. In an amplified version.
It just simply means foolish. Whoever hates reproof, whoever hates correction,

(01:46):
is foolish, because if you don't get out of your
own way, sometimes you can find yourself on a path
of destruction. And it's better that you listen to the wise,
you listen to those who are wise in their understanding,
wise in their council. That you listen to somebody that's

(02:09):
been through it, somebody that has knowledge of it, and
you in return can be blessed by what they're sharing
with you. Now, Proverbs twelve is sectioned into twenty eight verses.
And these are not just verses, these are statements. These
are insights that are found in the Book of the Wise,

(02:33):
the Book of Proverbs. And each verse that you read
read in this book or any other book, is full
of wisdom, is full of knowledge. It's full. I call
it the deep well of wisdom. And so you can
spend however much time that you can in one verse,

(02:57):
and coming back you can get so much more. So
it's not enough. You can read through it. Next day,
come back, there will be a lot more offered to you.
It's not that you're adding to it. It's just that
the Lord is opening up your understanding even more, he
invites you to that place, and if you get there now,

(03:19):
he gives you more for your journey because you have
been obedient. So twelve verse two, a good man will
obtain favor from the Lord, but he will condemn a
man who devises evil. Simply this God is a god
of justice. If you're doing evil, you will reap the

(03:41):
consequences of your labor. If you're doing good, you will
obtain favor from the Lord. So anytime that you have
a choice, anytime that you are encountering a decision, be
wise about it. Don't make foolish choices. Be moved in

(04:02):
your understanding, and recognize that God is a righteous judge
and He's not just going to let you slide in
kind of way. Let's keep that in mind. I'm not
just sharing this for you. I'm sharing this for me
and pray it is a blessing to us. Thanks for
joining God bless you. Continuation of the chapter twelve verse three.

(04:26):
Proverbs twelve verse three. A man will not be established
by wickedness, but the root of the consistently righteous will
not be moved. A man will not be established by
wickedness if he's doing wicked deeds, if he's doing deceitful actions,
if he's lying, cheating, stealing, he will not be established

(04:48):
in that way. But the root of the righteous will
not be moved. Because the righteous are consistent, the righteous
are trustworthy, the righteous are rightly divided the word of truth.
The righteous are in rights standing with God, and therefore
they will not be moved. They will be anchored in
Christ Jesus. And that's what's important. So let's keep in

(05:11):
mind that there is choices to be made, and we
are to make those wise choices. Again, God bless you
and take care. So we are in a study of Proverbs,
chapter twelve and verse four. This next verse is a

(05:32):
verse for the wives, those that are married wives. This
is Solomon speaking. A virtuous and excellent wife is the
crown of her husband, But she who shames him is
like rottenness in his bone. A virtuous an excellent wife

(05:53):
never speaks bad of her husband. She always speaks well
of her husband. She always encourages him, she always inspires him.
She is a woman of honor, worthy of honor, and
so she is careful, careful about what it is that

(06:14):
she says. But the one that shames her husband the
one who talks about her husband is like the one
that's destroying her own house. As women of faith, as
women of wisdom, as women who are worthy of honor,

(06:35):
we are to be careful what it is that we
say about our spouses. Because words have power. Our words
are able to heal, our words are even able to destroy.
So we have to be very careful when it comes
down to speaking life or death over our husband's power

(07:00):
of life and death in our tongue. And so we
have to be very careful. Here says a wise woman
speaks well of her husband, but a foolish one rottens
his bones. And that's a really strong statement right here,
full of wisdom. I hope that you, who is listening,
you would apply the Scripture to your life and see

(07:22):
the result of your labor. God bless you and take care.
This next one, verse five, chapter twelve of the Book
of Proverbs is another insight that Salmon is sharing with us.
I will be reading from amplified version. Normally I read
from a New International Version, but today I'm reading from
amplified version. The thoughts and purposes of the righteous are just,

(07:50):
but the counsels and schemes of the wicked are deceitful.
It simply means this, be careful who it is that
you counsel with. Be careful it is that you come
to seek for advice. The counsel and schemes of the
wicked are deceitful. They are they have no value. They

(08:11):
are deceitful in all that they say. And we have
to be careful who it is that we come to
when it comes to advice. If you are wise, you
will go to the wise. If you're foolish, you will
be okay with the seat, you will be okay with falsehood.

(08:38):
And that should be never be our portion. We should
always seek for better. So let's be wise and continue
to apply this word to our life because it is powerful,
it is effective, and it is alive and active. Thanks
once again for joining God bless you and take care.

(09:00):
As I already have mentioned that the studies that you
find find here are self paced studies. You can always
come back, you can always listen to them on the go.
I made this available because I didn't have it in
my own journey, because I didn't have it when I
was younger and foolish. I wish I had this early on,

(09:25):
but I didn't have it, So I made it available
for you who's listening, whether you are on the go,
whether you are in your home, whether you are about
your daily affairs, run the errands, whatever it may be,
that you can tune in here and listen. Tune in

(09:46):
and just listen to my heart and all that I
have to offer. I have been through much, and so
what I'm sharing here is simply experience, is simply what
I have gained from the world of God, so that
it could be of benefit to you. Thanks again for
joining my table. God bless you. So, though the amplified

(10:10):
version of the Bible is already self explanatory, will come
across words they need a little bit more digging. And
so I come across this verse, chapter twelve, verse six,
and I found this word that's kind of unfamiliar to me.
So I'm going to take this word into further study.

(10:32):
And this word the male wooland words of the wicked
lie in wait for innocent blood to slender, but the
mouth of the upright will rescue and protect them. So
I took it upon myself to go a little bit
further male woland and what it means, And it simply

(10:55):
means this. It is simply having or showing a wish
to do evil to others. Maliciousness in other words, so
malicious words of the wicked lie in wait for innocent blood.
Malicious words those that are filled with evil, those that

(11:17):
are filled with deceit, those that are false, They are
in other words, wicked, wait lie in wait for innocent blood.
But the mouth of the upright will rescue and protect them.
So again we got to be careful what it is
that we say. If we slender others, if we're malicious

(11:40):
in our words, there's always a price to be paid,
and so we have to be careful. But the mouth
of the upright will rescue and protect them, because the
upright will always speak what is building, what is beneficial,
what is perfect, and so forth. We don't want to
words that we're going to recred later. So if you

(12:07):
want to go further into the study, you're welcome to
do so, and even dissect the scripture even further. And
I pray that it is a blessing to you. Thanks
again for joining me. God bless and take care. So,
as I have already mentioned, you heard me say this

(12:28):
million times, well not necessarily billion, but you have heard
me say this a lot of times, that the Book
of Proverbs is one of my favorite books in the Bible.
I like to go back to the Book of Proverbs
when I'm facing certain decisions or I'm unsure of something.
I like to go to the Book of Proverbs and
seek for wisdom. I like to seek for wise counsel.

(12:51):
And so Verse seven says this, verse seven of the
Book of Proverbs, Chapter twelve. The wicked are overthrown and
are no more, but the house of the righteous will
stand securely. Again, I'm reading this from Amplified Version Bible.

(13:12):
I normally read New International Version Bible, but today I
felt led to read from another version, which is amplified.
The wicked are those who are evil, those that are deceitful,
those who speak lies and are false in their ways.

(13:34):
And the Bible says that they are overthrown by their
own evil works and are no more. But the house
of the righteous will stand securely. Because the house of
the righteous, those that are in right standing with God
will continue to build and not destroy. They will continue
to build up themselves and others around them. But the

(13:58):
wicked are overthrown by their own evil words. Be careful
who you're around with who you hang around with, because
this could be your very future, and you have to
be very wise in who it is that you surround
yourself with. If you need wise counsel, you go around

(14:20):
people that are going to give you wise counsel. You
don't go to people that are going to destroy you.
You don't go to people that are going to speak
lie in the seat. You want to go to the
people that are going to build you up and encourage
uplift and that way you can also be secure in return.

(14:41):
Parry was a blessing to you, surely husband to me,
thank you for joining me at my table, and take care, okay.
So the Book of Proverbs is filled with so many
different delights. It's filled with insights, it's filled with riddles,
it's filled with correction, it's filled with warnings, it's filled
with with beneficial statements. It's filled with so much, so

(15:06):
much of wisdom that you cannot go hungry. Literally, as
you are enjoying yourself or as you are delighting yourself
in the Book of Proverbs, you will always be filled.
So today I wanted to go into verse eight, and

(15:28):
again I'm reading this from amplified version. Bible, and it
says a man will be commended according to his insight
and sound judgment. A man will be commended how he
is to be perceived. A man will be commended according
to his insight and sound judgment. That is how he's
going to be perceived in front of others. But the

(15:50):
one who is of perverse mind will be despised. So
this is self explanatory. The one who has a perverse
mind will be one who is despised. And so, as
wise women and men of the Lord, we are to
continue to seek wisdom. We are to continue to speak

(16:14):
wisdom and do that which is pleasing in the Lord's sight.
As we fear the Lord, we gain that wisdom that
comes from above. And we reject foolishness when it comes.
That folly woman that we were talking about, when she
comes around, we don't accept her advice. We throw her out,

(16:39):
we reject her teachings. We just simply are wise in
our own decisions. So I hope this was a blessing
to you. Thank you once again for joining. I'll bless
you and take care. This next verse is very powerful nine,
but I'm actually going to read nine, ten, and eleven

(17:00):
together I'm not going to just read eight. I'm going
to read eight nine, eight, nine, ten, and eleven because
they kind of go together. So let's kind of matter
of fact, not eight nine, ten eleven. Better is he
who is lightly esteemed and has a servant. This speaks

(17:23):
of contentment. It speaks of one who has little, who
is lightly esteemed, is not put out there, not well known,
you know, somebody that is kind of basic. Then he
who boastfully honors himself pretending to be who is not
pretending to be what he is not, and legs bread.

(17:48):
It's a matter of choice. It's better to be lightly
esteemed and be a servant than one who honors himself
to be up here and leg bread, or or be hungry. Right,
a righteous man has kind regard for the life of

(18:09):
his animal, but even the compassion of the wicked is cruel.
That's another self explanatory verse. A righteous man has kind
regard for the life of his animal, because not only
is he kind in his affairs, he's also compassionate towards
the animals as well. But the compassion of the wicked

(18:33):
is not like the righteous. It is cruel. So even
if they do have compassion, they only have selective compassion.
It's only for certain kind of animals, or certain kind
of people, certain kind of place, or whatever it may be.
So he who tells his land will have plenty of bread.

(18:56):
But he who follows worthless things lacks come and send
and good judgment. That's another good one. He who tills
his hand will have plenty of bread. If you continue
to work, put in your effort, if you continue to
honestly labor for your bread or for what it is

(19:21):
that you want to accomplish, it is better than one
who follows worthless things and lacks common sense, because their
pursuit is always dishonesty. Their pursuit is always how can
I lie? How can I cheat? And in the end
it's not going to bring you any kind of benefit.

(19:43):
It's actually going to bring you destruction. So that's self
explanatory right here. I think this concludes verse eleven, as
I said nine, ten and eleven even are kind of
in a similar in a similar section, and so I

(20:06):
kind of put them together. Thanks for joining. As always,
God bless you and take care. This next verse, verse twelve,
speaks of evil desire. There's evil desire, and then there
is also a desire of the righteous, because, as you notice,

(20:29):
the Book of Proverbs puts two different types of people
in a category, righteous versus wicked, wise versus foolish, and
so here we see that it is wicked versus righteous.

(20:52):
The wicked desire is the plunder of evil men. How
can I overthrow others? Right? Or how can I destroy others?
But the root of the righteous yields richer fruit. So
it's always the righteous. You know, those that are in
right standing with God, their desire is to always reap

(21:17):
a benefit, is to always reap fruit, not to destruct,
but to bring life, not to destroy, but to build up.
And so we are to pay attention to those desires.
If desires come to overthrow other men, to to kill

(21:39):
still destroy, then we know it's not coming from a
good place. And if the desire is to build, encourage, uplift,
then it is the desire that we are to seek.
Thank you again for joining God, bless you and take care.
Proverbs twelve thirteen says evil doers are trapped by their

(22:03):
sinful talk, and so the innocent escape trouble. Again. These
are principles of wisdom. These are insights that are taken
from the book of Solomon, the wisest meant to ever live,
And he goes to say that evildoers, again a comparison

(22:25):
of the righteous versus the wicked, the evil doers. The
wicked are trapped by their own sinful talk, and so
the innocent escape trouble. The evil or the wicked are
trapped by their own foolish words. But the righteous will

(22:46):
always find a way of escape. And just reading this,
I am reminded of a scripture in Psalm thirty seven,
verses twenty three twenty four, that the Lord makes firm
the steps of the one who delights in him. Though
he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord

(23:09):
upholds him with his hand. This is why the righteous
will always find a way of escape, because they depend
they depend on the Lord. They are always going to
find a way of escape. But the foolish will trap
themselves with their evil words, with their foolish talk, because

(23:34):
they have no guidance or direction, because they are foolish
and are wicked and do not see where they are going. Therefore,
as Solomon states, be like the righteous, walk in the
statues and precepts and wisdom of God, rather than being foolish.

(24:05):
I pray. This was a blessing to you. Thank you
once again for joining God. Bless you and take care.
And the last verse that I wanted to discuss also
comes from Book of Proverbs, chapter twelve, verse fourteen. Again,
I will be reading from the International Version Bible, and
you'll welcome to a foll along with me with a

(24:26):
Bible version of your choice. From the fruit of their lips,
people are filled with good things, and the work of
their hands brings them reward. Now it's talking about the
righteous from the fruit of their lips. It's talking about
the fruit that the righteous bear through fearing the Lord,

(24:53):
pleasing God, through standing in the right, standing in and
a lined with God's statues and decrease. Fruit of their
lips is filled with good things. They say good things,

(25:13):
and the work of their hands brings them reward. Whatever
they do will prosper. They're leef will not whither. They
are planted by the streams of living waters, which yield
its fruit in season. The work of their hands bring
them a sure reward, brings them the outcome, a good outcome.

(25:44):
A righteous person is rewarded and is satisfied with the
fruit of his lips. Whereas the wicked are shrapped by
their own foolish words. Proverbs twelve thirteen. The righteous reap
the consequence of their labor, and it brings them a

(26:09):
sure reward. Whatever it is that you are doing, whether
it's good or bad, it will all have a fruit.
If you do good, they will be a good fruit.

(26:32):
If you do bad, they will be bad fruit. There
will be rotten fruit. The wicked are trapped by their
own evil desires. The wicked are trapped by their own

(26:55):
foolish words. And so I hope that you have learned
something as well as myself. I hope that, as David says,
we examine our hearts, we allow the Holy Spirit to
lead us and ask if there's anything that's wicked in me.

(27:23):
As Psalm one thirty nine, verse twenty three to twenty
four says, examine my heart, Lord, if there's any wicked
thing in me, get rid of it. Search me, God
and know my heart. Test me and know my anxious thoughts.

(27:43):
See if there's any offensive way in me. Lead me
in a way of everlasting. I desire to be pleasing
to you. I desire to be honoring to you. And
if there's anything in me that hinders me from receiving
my breakthrough, then remove it far from me. Thank you
once again for joining God bless you and take care. Hey,

(28:11):
thanks again for staying all the way to the end.
I'm so appreciative of the time and energy that you
have put in to be here. You could have been
anywhere else, you could have been doing something else, but
you chose to be here. You chose to put on
the full armor of God through the study that I
offer here at my table. You chose to sharpen your sword,
and I'm so thankful that you have decided to do that.

(28:32):
As a result, I would like to invite you to
my personal group, which will be available in the bio
of my podcast. Thank you once again for joining me.
God bless you, and take care.
