(00:00):
So on this post, I willbe sharing one of my favorite psalms in
the Bible. They come this songcomes from the Bible, and I just
wanted to share it with you becauseI know that we face so much on
a daily basis and we need sometype of encouragement. We need something to

(00:21):
keep us uplifted. Like this, life is not easy. Everything that's going
on in life is not easy. But you know what, a little encouragement
can go a long way. SoPsalm ninety one is one of my favorite
songs to really pray and also readin the Bible. For those of you

(00:43):
that don't have a Bible nearby, that's okay because I will be reading straight
from the Bible. But if youdo have a Bible, grab your Bible
and let's get into it. SoSome ninety one was written by a pe
psalmist, David, one of thekings in the Bible that wrote this psalm.

(01:04):
Psalm ninety one. I will bereading from your International version Bible,
but you're welcome to correlate with anyversion that you like or you feel comfortable
with. And it starts like this, and I quote whoever dwells in a
secret or the shelter of the MostHigh God, will rest in the shadow

(01:27):
of the Almighty. I will sayof the Lord, he is my refuge
and my fortress, my God inwhom I trust. David sharing his thoughts,
simply his thoughts. He's saying, whoever dwells in the shelter of the
Most High God will rest in ashadow of the Almighty. He said.

(01:52):
If you are resting in a shadowof the Almighty, or if you're dwelling
in the shelter of the Most High, by God, you will rest,
You will be at peace. Hesays again, I will say it of

(02:12):
the Lord. He is my refugeand my fortress, my God in whom
I trust. He says, theLord is my refuge and my fortress,
protection, safety, rest. Hegoes on to say, surely he will

(02:37):
save you. He says personally heis my Lord. But surely he will
save you from the fowler's snare andfrom the deadly pestilence. These are things
that destroy us. He will coveryou with his feathers, and under his

(02:58):
wings you will find in refuge.Remember at the beginning, he says,
he is my refuge and my fortress. He is resting in the shadow of
the Almighty, And so he's sayinghe will cover you. Who the Almighty,
you will find refuge. His faithfulnesswill be your shield and rampered,

(03:24):
in other words, your armor. You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day. He is aware of the er,
he is aware of the things thatare going on in the spiritual realm,
and he's saying, you will notfear because you are under the protection

(03:47):
of the Almighty. You will notfear the terror of night, nor the
raw that flies by day. He'saware of that, he's saying, nor
the pestilins that stalks in darkness. He's letting us know he's uncovering some things.
He's saying, there are arrows thatfly by day, and there is
pestilence that stalks in darkness, northe plague that destroys that midday. He

(04:15):
even gave us the time mid daydarkness and the arrows that fly by day.
He goes on to say, athousand may fall at your side.
So when you begin to encounter darkness, when you begin to encounter these arrows,

(04:44):
when you begin to encounter this pestilencethat stalks in darkness, he says,
A thousand may fall on your side, ten thousand on your right hand,
but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your
eyes and see the punishment of thewicked. As long as God is on

(05:12):
your side, you will not bedestroyed. As long as God. As
long as God is on your side, that you will not be part of
the destruction. He goes on tosay, if you say the Lord is
my refuge, and you make themost high you're dwelling, these are the
if then proposition. He said,If you say that the Lord is my
refuge, and you make the mosthigh you're dwelling, then right, no

(05:40):
harm will overtake you, No disasterwill come near your tent. And I
like to actually declare these words thatno harm will overtake me or my family,
and no disaster will come near meor my family. For he verse
eleven says he will command his angelsconcerning you to guard you in all of

(06:05):
your ways. He goes on tosay, they will lift you up in
their hands, so that you willnice strike your foot against a stone.
You will tread on a lion andthe cobra, and you will trample the
great lion and the serpent, isthere benefits right here? If then proposition,

(06:30):
If the Lord is your refuge,if you make the most higher dwelling,
then no harm will overtake you,No disaster will come near you.
God will command his angels to guardyou. Will he will command his angels
concerning you. He will lift youup. They will carry you. And

(06:51):
not only will they carry you,and you will overcome the harm, and
no disaster will come near you.He says, you will tread on a
line in a cobra, the dangerousanimals, and he says, even the
great lion and the serpent. Comeon somebody. Because he loves me,

(07:15):
says the Lord, I will rescuehim. God is not a man that
he should lie, he says, because he loves me. And what is
love? Let's go to Second Corinthiansthirteen. Love is patience, Love is
kindness. Love is not envy.It is not prideful, It is not
arrogant. He always perseveres It istruthful. He goes on to say.

(07:45):
Because he loves me, says theLord, I will rescue him. I
will protect him, for he acknowledgesmy name. He will call on me
and I will answer him. Iwill be with him in trouble. I
will deliver him and honor him withlong life. I will satisfy him and

(08:05):
show him my salvation. Listen, there are benefits to serving God. There's
benefits to you loving the Lord orhaving him as your savior. He says,
there's rescue for you, there's protection. Anytime that you call upon him,

(08:26):
he will answer you. He willget you out of trouble. He
will deliver you. He will honoryou and even give you longevity. He
will even give you long life andprosperity. And now only that salvation too.
Hey, I hope that you enjoythis psalm, And if you have

(08:48):
not read this psalm, I highlyencourage you to do so. I highly
encourage you to go back and reallyread through it because it is life.
Okay, if you're going through somethingtoday, this psalm right here is going
to encourage you. This psalm righthere, it's gonna lift you up.
It is going to carry you andremind you some of the benefits when you

(09:16):
are serving the Lord. I mean, if then proposition, so if you
dwell in it, sheltered the mostHigh God, then you will rest in
a shadow of the Almighty. Thisprotection is not for everyone. This protection,
this safety is not for everyone. It is for those that love Him.
It is for those that are obedientto Him. It is for those

(09:39):
that choose their to live their lifeaccording to the riches of His glory,
the riches of God's glory, thosethat choose to serve God, not everyone.
So if you have not made theLord your savior, if you have
not made the Lord the lord ofyour life, than today is no other

(10:05):
day or no better day to do. So all you have to do is
say, Lord, I accept youinto my life. Lord. I want
to do good. Lord, Iwant that protection. Lord, I want
all the benefits that you are offeringto me. In the return, I
will love you. In the return, I will honor you. In return,

(10:28):
I will serve you all the daysof my life. Amen. And
now you are a child of theLiving God. Now go ahead join a
local church where you can further grow, where you can further develop into all
