Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's do or die time in the UFL. In week eight.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
We got some crucial matchups to keep teams alive in
the playoff picture, and we got some stuff that are
updates for season three coming up next year that will
be debating and discussing with this show. This is episode
one o four of the UFO Podcast and it starts
right now one till Welcome back everybody to the UFL Podcast.
(00:48):
I am Zach Kyleman hosting this week, and thank you
for staying patient with us and coming back after a
week off.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
Yes, we had some things happened. Life happens.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
Stuff happens once in a while, but we are back
as we promised during around the UFL, and we got
plenty of stuff to discuss, especially with this week coming up,
about well things in the future, things not so far
in the future with the playoffs. Lots of good stuff
going on with the UFL in twenty twenty five. On
(01:18):
the other side, though, before we get into the nitty
gritty and really break things down, I got my buddy
the Ref on the opposite side. Good to see you, sir,
back in action for this week for episode one oh four.
It's a good feeling.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
Oh it feels good. It feels real good to be
back in the in the regular old gear and not
that silly jersey because of that silly game last weekend.
But you know what, things are looking up because this week,
Ref's Law the game Zach, Refs Law, the game Law,
the game part.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
No matter who wins, Ref's Law wins at the end
of the day, it can only it can happen.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
I gotta give you credit. You're you're locked in. There's
there's no uh, there's no way to do this.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
And I know there's no way to do this because
you can't tie in the UFL, so that you're not
you don't have to worry about that scenarios growing up
Refs Law whatsoever. So yeah, I'm locked into at least
two of the last three weeks. I can't sit here
and deny something that has had a pretty bad streak
this year.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
My friend I still point that out.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
We need three strikes, so we can't get it this weekend,
But we have two weeks left to the season, and
I feel like if we can just get a third
Refs Law Broken game, we might be free from this curse.
But we might also end up the season at eighty
(02:45):
Ref's law, which is still when we're talking about like,
oh this rest law is dead and it's eighty percent.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
Yeah, yeah, I want it to be dead. I want
both of our teams to win. I want refs law
the play offs. That's what I want. I don't want this.
I want it. We're gonna have it.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
I'll admits the both of us being in the basement
would be would be not ideal, thank you very much.
I would I would not be feeling as good as
I am. We have a lot of conversation about next year,
so and I be looking like this.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
Is what you feel like all the time? Two again?
That damn man.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
I'll tell you that halftime euphoria this weekend. I didn't
even know what to do with my hands. I was like, WHOA,
is this what winning feels like?
Speaker 2 (03:33):
I had such a good time with the freaking half
time Coach of the Year tweet that look, I still
think it's true. Bit or not, it's hilarious. I the
wase things play out.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
No bit, CJ. You'll see, oh, no bit WHOA The
tape says it was a bit I think.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
I think if you're remembering something that probably happened after
we were recording last week.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
But I don't know. I don't think I ever said
that was a bit. I don't.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
I don't believe that because I truly, in the deepest darkest.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
Parts of my heart, sect believe that's C. J. Johnson
will be the damn coach of the year, Coach of
the decade, the coach of the lifetime. Oh wow, expose me.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
Well, if you're gonna if he's gonna get it, he's
gotta get it this week.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
Because here's the deal.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
If and this, this is the scenario, you know, and

(05:52):
I can't end this without going in Summerstock, baby, it's
coming up. The road to Summerstock is very shortly approaching.
We are less than a month out to what should
be an extravagant road trip from Houston to Saint Louis,
Missouri on Route sixty six when we hit that as well.
The documentary will be a great one and we cannot
(06:14):
wait to share what we have in store. Just for
chatting on some plans before we came on to record this,
and uh again, stuff's coming together. It's gonna look really good. Yeah,
the way we're laying it out, and uh man, I
love I love what we're what we're doing with this,
I really am. It's gonna be a blast.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
I didn't even tell you, but I'll tell you now.
I bought a second Tronet, another drone, So pause time out.
Here's why.
Speaker 3 (06:40):
There is a specific shot that I have in mind,
and so this other drone.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
I got it on a cheap.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
So if you guys don't know shop goodwill dot com
you can find you can actually find some legit things there.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
Oh well, yes, actually that's a great I've done that.
That what that website link before, I've auctioned for retro
games through there. You actually that's like an un rated
retrogaming like website.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Because everybody sure get we said that don't go to
don't don't go.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
To good will dot com, and do not go to
the auction site please.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
So anyway, though I found a drone and it had
in box unopened.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
I could tell by the table the box is a
little roughed up. But I even on the box. You
can look at the cereal number I plugged it in
on dji's website hasn't been activated yet, so if it
is broken, it's under warranty.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
They'll send me another one.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
Either way, I have this shot in mind, but we'll
be able to throw this bad boy out there.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
And it'll be able to track us.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
So like if we're driving the golf cart per se,
we could have the drone track us and fly in
front of the golf cart with ours.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
So I got, you know what I mean? I got.
Speaker 3 (07:42):
This is what you guys have to look forward to
because summerstock the road to the UFL Championship.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
We have so many things that we're gonna be doing
with thoughts. Yeah, you say it's flying front of the
golf cart. Yeah, so that means one of two things.
Either I'm allowed to pile up the drone or I'm
allowed to with the rough card.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
Yeah. Either one.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
Oh, here's the thing, the drone. Well, it does it autonomously.
We don't even need to control it.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
You just it's a it's a You just.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
Put it on the palm of your hand and it
just floats out in front of you and it does
your thing, and you put your palm out when you're done,
and it floats back.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
Over to you.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
Wow, it's kind of like a dang. It sounds like
one of those like uh, trained hawks, but with technology
for sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah, never mind, Maybe maybe that
sounds fun. I can't wait to mess with that then,
And yeah, like that's sweet. We're gonna it's great because
like we've done some adjustment on our end. No curtains
as we talk, so you know we're gonna I'll be
(08:40):
down there a little early. We'll get the whole prep day.
We're gonna have a whole Houston day. Honestly to ourselves,
it's always fun us do. Roaming around out your way
is always a good time. So getting a full day
of that sign me the heck up before the road trip.
Speaker 3 (08:53):
So sorry people are messaging me. You know, there is
no curtains on this show, so if you saw me
looking that's what's going on.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
But no, I can't wait, dude.
Speaker 3 (09:02):
The fact that we're gonna we're gonna have two drones,
we're gonna have we got cameras, we got microphones up
the wazoo, we got stuff.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
We have so much stuff.
Speaker 3 (09:13):
And actually I'll put a link down in the description
if you guys want to support us, we do have
summer stock shirts available over on the newsroom shop. Any
to any of the proceeds is gonna go to me
and Zach paying for this trip, because him and I
are both spending a lot of money. And so if
you want to help out buy a shirt, maybe we'll
(09:35):
even find a way, like if you want to PayPal
into it like a bucket we have, we'll figure that out.
But if you do want to support us otherwise, enjoy
watch it exactly. The best way to support us is
watching it on YouTube. That's really if you want to
really support us, watch the dam spread the word, share
it because this is gonna be bigger than anything we've
ever done before, and it's gonna be fun. And the
(09:57):
fact that we're doing it in like two days is crazy.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
No, I know, Like I said, it can't wait. Thrilled,
still got to get through part of the season first.
But that road trip is going to be amazing and
this will be uh, like I said, it's our it's
our greatest undertaking as creators in this space. So we will, we'll, we'll,
we'll keep updates on you and yeah, be ready, videos
will be coming out during that we that lead up
(10:21):
as we travel. All right, let's talk football and let's
go back to what I was discussing earlier, and we'll
slight touch in but we'll bounce back to But look
for Houston and honestly for the two remaining bubble teams
that lost crucial games last week, the Roughnecks and the Renegades,
do or die time this this this is there is
(10:43):
a there's a potential that both of these teams are well,
there's that potential at least one of these teams gets
eliminated this week, just just just as a thought. So
you know, if things don't work out their way, you know,
you have to win, win, and you stay in the hunt.
Roughnecks win against Michigan keeps things close. If they lose,
(11:06):
Rough go, you know, you have to keep them on,
hoping to God that you can stay in the hunt
and Honestly, this is the thing of Michigan wins, Houston loses,
and then you have Birmingham even lose. Remember the tiebreak
goes against him. They already got swept, So not great there.
Arlington feels like a lot of mischances and definitely is
do or die and it's boyl boys of the DC Defenders.
(11:27):
Quite the matchup to do where you have to fight
your way to keep in the hunt.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
Right, Yeah, it's gonna be it's gonna be a tough weekend.
And uh, it's a shame, Zach, that this also has
to be the weekend. And we'll get this as we
get into the picks that we have overlapping scheduling. We
have the Michigan and Houston game overlapping with the Stallion's game,
and especially it really sucks when you're at the game, Zach,
(11:57):
because then you got to watch the other one on
your phone at least when you're they're both away games. Honestly,
when they're both away, there is a little bit of
fun to it because I could just shell here about
my monitor have both the games.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
But as we look towards.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
The playoffs, I'll say this one team one of those
teams is getting eliminated this weekend from the playoffs.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
I won't say both, well one of them.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
One of them is I think at least one conference
gets locked up minimum, and we'll dive in more on.
Speaker 1 (12:28):
Who who each of us thinks that is.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
But it kind of feels that way, and it's still
good that it's later this year than last year. So
that's nice that we can talk this, but like you know,
matchups be damn last week kind of set up what
the scenario is for right now, so you know, can't
do much about it. You gotta play and execute against
your opponents, is all we gotta say. We'll touch back
(12:50):
into that a little bit later.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
One.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
What we did want to talk and get going, and
we have a big conversation I think between you and
I on this is that the season three discussion is
going to keep growing louder because it's week eight, so
you know, a lot more the longer the season goes.
You know, yes, there's been stuff talking about next year,
but you guys know in this space, nothing's guaranteed. Nothing
(13:12):
is ever certain until it's fully solidified certain where we
see it hit the field, and you know, another sign
of next year coming up, you know, along with you know,
we talked about CBA, we talked about the international program,
We talk about the UFL's HQ and Arlington being a
multi year set up out that way, you know, and
trying to build that base season three tickets. You know,
(13:36):
the renewals are starting, which you know, as you and
I had talked first off, more more upfront this year.
Speaker 1 (13:45):
Than last.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
And at least in what I what we can tell
and pretty much all the markets, it seems renewal prices
dropped for some of them pretty significant chunks to get
people back in seats.
Speaker 3 (13:59):
Even here in Houston, where we didn't see the prices
go up. I know that was a big complaint from
people this year, is that prices went up in a
lot of the markets.
Speaker 1 (14:09):
Houston, we didn't see a price.
Speaker 3 (14:11):
Hike, but we still saw the price go down for
our renewals this year.
Speaker 1 (14:16):
So you got to applaud that.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
I do like the fact that they're starting it earlier.
I think that solves for part of it. Now what'll
be interesting to see is when do they open it
up to the general public. Right because okay, you can
renew the season ticket holders that you have now, but
as you can see in some of these markets, it's
not a whole lot, right, You're still gonna want to
get those guys in.
Speaker 1 (14:41):
The good and the bad. Some you know, the May
perks could have been perkier. I'm all for a you know.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
A town hall, a virtual town hall, but maybe throwing
a hoodie or a shirt. I know, you got boatloads
of roughneck stuff laying around the battlehocks.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
They get like a key chain or something like.
Speaker 3 (15:02):
I know there's enough merch sitting around for all these
teams that you could throw a hat in there if
you were a new in May, right right.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
But to me, the biggest thing, and this is just
for me.
Speaker 3 (15:13):
Locally, but they hired a ticket guy for Houston that
lives local to the area. Now that that to me
is a big deal.
Speaker 1 (15:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
So, and I think we heard that for Birmingham as well,
which they.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
That's what I have been told, is that they have started,
is that Birmingham also hired someone that is apparently tied
to the Barons. That's the minor league baseball team out there,
if we're talking sports scene, that's one of the bigger
teams along like the Birmingham Bulls and hockey out that way.
But yeah, it's interesting because like that's the second person,
second team. Now I've heard that they've started looking into,
(15:52):
you know, more of a local based guy or someone
that knows the area a bit more, which, let's be frank,
you know that doesn't always sell tickets, but what it does.
You know, if you're a ticket guy, you're gonna you
know the area better, which means you you can probably
more navigate if you are if you are a local, right,
more navigate the scene, more understand the needs of the market,
(16:16):
which I mean, I'll be frank, from what I can tell,
that wasn't always what was the case with what has
been set up, and I mean, let's be let's be
fair too. The ticketing marketing departments in the league this
year have been through the ringer. Whether it's critiques which
some valid I think a lot valid, some not, and
the fact that they got up like two months before
(16:37):
the season started from just not good returns. So clearly
this is an issue the league knows is like a
cure problem. Right now, it's and I think I'm wondering
if that's gonna be like addressed as they move forward,
we see more the local, more the guy who's on
who knows the on the ground stuff. You know. Part
(16:57):
of it is the up the upfront leg where because
you can speak to I think, but like that does
I think help a little bit to me is knowing
your market a bit better and having like that know
how of like what does what doesn't work, and what
is the zeitgeist of the area.
Speaker 3 (17:13):
Well quite I've seen it in the past with the
two previous ticket reps and actually the three. The latest
one wasn't local to Houston, but he still did a
great job, right, And I gave him his credit because
that dude.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
Actually the way we renew my tickets last year was
so easy, right, nice.
Speaker 3 (17:32):
But having the local guys like you were mentioning it
allows you to do those other things. They know the area,
they know where people go to set up events, right,
because you can set up an event anywhere. But if
you set up an event by my house, Zach, you're
gonna get me.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
And that's it because it's not Marry.
Speaker 3 (17:51):
Many people live out here right whereas you go down Houston.
Where as much as I hate that because it's such
a pain, they asked to get there, everyone else is
going to get there besides me. Right, and even more importantly,
because you also have to remember part of doing these
engagement events is part about getting people there to draw interest,
but it's also about getting interest from people that were
(18:15):
there and they just so happened to be there at
the same time as you.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
I'll tell you. In twenty twenty, there are so many.
Speaker 3 (18:23):
People that I talked to that I was saying, oh,
you know, how do you hear about the Roughnecks tonight?
Speaker 1 (18:28):
I was just here at the bar and they were
doing this thing. So I came in the room and I.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
Saw so and so or whoever blah blah blah, you know,
like June Jones was here.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
So I wandered in right, like whatever it is.
Speaker 3 (18:40):
And to me, having those people local get you in
those types of places where you're gonna get those new fans,
because again, those events are great for people like me,
but they already have my money, right, the real reason
they're doing these things, and let's be on it.
Speaker 1 (19:00):
It's not a bad thing, but.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
It's so they can sell tickets and so if you
did and this is probably why they stopped doing a
lot of these things before. I remember they did one
in twenty twenty three. I was talking to the guy.
This is prior to the merger, and I said, how's
it going. He said, you know, pretty good attendance, but
everyone here season ticket holders.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
I said, oh, that's good and he said, no, you
know not. Yeah, he said, yeah, it's good, but you know,
we're trying to sell tickets too.
Speaker 3 (19:29):
So basically, we rented out a room, we gave everyone
free food, we bought everyone drinks, but we didn't actually
make any money. You know, when you look at it
like that, yeah, that is that is kind of a stinger,
you know.
Speaker 1 (19:41):
So you know, we'll see how it all plays out.
I think it's going to be a net positive.
Speaker 3 (19:46):
But more importantly, you know, we look at the beginning
of the season, Zach, what was it.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
Pooh pooh, bad news.
Speaker 3 (19:53):
Oh, everybody wants to strike, nobody wants to play for
the UFL, only bad news. This is the UFL injecting
good news into the end of their season. Now will
the masses pick it up? Probably not, unfortunately, But.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
To me, this is at least the well I won't
say the first because there was other little things, but
the first public confirmation of season three, and that should
that should be pretty big news. Why is that big news. Zech, Well,
let's look at the flipping past. Did the U the USFL.
Speaker 3 (20:32):
Technically made it to a third season, the most modern one, right,
It technically made it to a third season, technically made
it to a fourth season.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
But it really didn't. The XFL. Same thing any of
these that come.
Speaker 3 (20:48):
Before you Maybe if you're lucky, got one season, if
you're really lucky, you got two. But the last time
that we saw season three of spring football was the
original USFL in the eighties.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
And so to me, this is actually a pretty big deal.
Speaker 3 (21:07):
If they're confirming the season three, they are the first
spring league under the same banner to play three consecutive seasons.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
Now we have to get to that third season first.
Speaker 3 (21:20):
Because and again I'll always point out the good where
there could be bad.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
Maybe they need money, Maybe maybe that's the play. I
don't think that's the case. I have other.
Speaker 3 (21:31):
Reasons for thinking that they're they're gonna be around next year.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
That's gonna be fair.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
Yeah, I mean we to be open about this. Yes,
you know, if we're talking about profitability, they you know,
the gate revenue has never been the true like first come,
you know, I think for all for this merger, I
think TV's still been the heavy folks, but like you
do need and it's it's really a cultural thing. Like
(21:56):
the more we learn about like not having people in
the stands or like noticing is like, you know, we've
had lengthy talks on our on PF and discord linked
the description by the way, where it's like people respond
to what seems popular and what people think is going
is working. And I think like the more we talk,
I think that's the thing, the fans in the stands thing,
(22:19):
you know. Now that now I'm finally three years in,
I think I get it. It's just popular zeitgeist stuff.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
You know.
Speaker 2 (22:26):
Does it look popular to you? You know, if you're
like a casual guy, you know, and you're not like
heavily invested like we are where we just love football
and we just love this, you know. And I think
that's a problem they're gonna have to try and solve obviously.
And then also, as we've talked at length, this renewal
more focusing, I think it's and we've talked at length
(22:47):
about this a lot. I think that the relationship in
some markets between season ticket holders and their perspective offices
needs a bit of a reality check in terms of Okay,
how do we fix this because I think I know
for a fact talking with people in Birmingham that is
(23:09):
not right now. A it doesn't seem like a situation
that is in a good standing at the moment. I
think that one needs to. I think they need some
good graces back, you know. Other markets just feels like contemplation.
You know, we talked about you know, you talked to
Houston at length in the past. I mean, shoot, man,
we've talked about Michigan up until this year. You know,
(23:32):
they finally that's a success story of its own. I
think of like what happens when you put a little
more emphasis on the boots on the ground. Although some
would point to Memphis being the opposite, and it's a
hard balance.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
Every market's a little bit different.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
But I think that that's the bigger Like, that's one
of the bigger tellent signs with this renewal is how
do you how do you repair some maybe I wouldn't
say damage, but like maybe some slight cracked relationships Here
is my thought, because it's there, So how do you
fix it?
Speaker 1 (24:02):
You know?
Speaker 2 (24:03):
And I think the price helps a lot. Now, what
else are you gonna do with like perks, for example,
the Arlington perks I looked at. I love this idea,
and I wish every market was doing this because I
look at the San Antonio ones to kind of compare.
Everyone's got a little bit different, But I love and
Arena Football does this indoor, especially the comp tickets. And
you notice that each person gets four comp tickets for
(24:24):
twenty twenty six.
Speaker 1 (24:26):
Now you're asking what does that do? Well, it doesn't sell.
Speaker 2 (24:28):
Really, you don't sell it, so like you're not getting
money off that per se, you know, so that's going
into into tickets to someone else. But what it does
it creates your season ticket holder as almost an ambassador
for the league you're giving. You know, you can either
give tickets to somebody that's one of your friends. You
can give it to someone who is a family member
that maybe is in the area, you know, or something
(24:49):
like that is the idea, and then hopefully it incentivizes
them to come back, and then if you're lucky, some
return lucky, you maybe get a new season ticket holder
out of that. And I think that's something I would
love to see more. You know, I didn't see every
package yet. I'm kind of going through real quick. But
not all of them have these comp tickets there.
Speaker 1 (25:08):
It is, Zachi boy. I knew it was coming. I
tried to meet it, and I saw you trying to
like hide it.
Speaker 3 (25:15):
It came sorry, go out, But but yeah, I think
that's that's something I'd love to see explored.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
You know what. Also doesn't help though, when I click
on the Michigan social media link, it takes me to
the Brahmas ticketing page.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
So that's not a great start.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
You know, you know the one, the one perk that
for next year. I talked about this before the show.
That just bothers me. And they can fix this. There's
still a couple of weeks to fix this. Sure, they
said new perk for twenty twenty six for the Roughnecks,
and one of those new perks was if you're a
season ticket holder at the last home game of the year,
(25:49):
you'll be able to go on the field after the
game and do a meet and.
Speaker 1 (25:52):
Greet with the players. I love that idea.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
You know what else, sach I also loved that idea
last year when they did it, And so to me,
if it's a new perk next year, that means we're
not getting it.
Speaker 1 (26:04):
This year, but we had it last year. Just give
it to us this year too.
Speaker 3 (26:11):
I mean to me, you want to get that goodwill,
especially before the season's over. You still have two home
games you get there's plenty of them, and you know what,
I will be that guy. I'm gonna be at the
at the game this weekend. I'm like, hey, I saw
this a new perk for next year. You should do
this for this year because we had it last year
and they probably don't even know that because they weren't.
(26:33):
I don't think the guys that are well, No, we
have Brett last year running the show in Houston.
Speaker 2 (26:37):
So yeah, shout out to Brett. By the way, hope,
hope he's doing well. That dude's a real one.
Speaker 1 (26:42):
By the way.
Speaker 2 (26:43):
You know, if you ever meet Bretzeleski, great guy, Yep, yep.
Speaker 1 (26:47):
But I mean, overall, this is good news for the league.
Speaker 3 (26:50):
This is stuff you know again, you would hope all
of the media companies would be talking about it just
as much as they talked about the other thing. Bigger
news to me, It's also confirms no relocation. So anybody
that was hoping for which name your pick, Zach, because
I've heard it about the stallions. I've heard it about Houston,
(27:11):
I've heard it about Memphis. We're not going anywhere, at
least for next year. But it also seems to confirm
no expansion because there's a two week playoff, right, which
I mean if you expand, you can I mean that's hypothetical.
I mean, we are getting we are getting into speculating.
You know, it's slap a speculation zone on it.
Speaker 1 (27:32):
Let's do it.
Speaker 2 (27:33):
It's been a minute. Slap it on there one way
or another. This is speculation zone people. That is all
I could say. Uh, anyway, now that we're into the
speculation zone. So yeah, interesting. So yeah, ten games, uh,
two playoffs, the same usual schedule. But as you and
I have talked, you know, and the league said that
(27:54):
they were starting the process. David Diichman said that they
are definitely expanding next year.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
So what does that look like? You know?
Speaker 2 (28:02):
I mean, and so I mean, you don't have to
expand the amount of teams in, but you could, and
we'd make more TV dates, more gated and higher profile
ticketing events that would bring in hopefully more fans to
your events. So fascinating, right, It really puts on notice
what could happen next year with or or if they
(28:23):
course correct for next year.
Speaker 1 (28:26):
Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (28:27):
I you know, again, it's hard to say that it
was ever confirmed other than David Diikman's legit saying, I mean, put.
Speaker 1 (28:35):
The hammer down. This is happening.
Speaker 3 (28:37):
Like it is happening. There was no like if ans
or butts around it. But we never officially officially got
it from the league. To me, this feels like they're
kind of way of saying they happening next year.
Speaker 1 (28:49):
I mean it could maybe it is.
Speaker 3 (28:51):
Maybe they do expand, but that seems tough, Zach with
a ten week schedule, like you're gonna have to do
some fancy things with that schedule. Maybe maybe it just
you change even the way divisions work to where teams
aren't playing each team twice.
Speaker 1 (29:05):
I don't know, you work that out however they want
to work that out.
Speaker 2 (29:09):
I mean, so you can still if you expand, That's
what would be hard because like if you're in theory, yeah,
you're making both conferences one extra team, Yeah, I mean
that would be you just have to be It almost
feels like one of these doesn't get a double up,
you know something.
Speaker 3 (29:28):
Yeah, something would have to be I don't know anyway,
but we will see.
Speaker 1 (29:33):
We will see. But it seems tough. It seems tough. Now.
Speaker 3 (29:35):
What David Diikman could be could have been saying at
the time, or what he had meant to say, was
we're going to announce expansion next year, like next.
Speaker 1 (29:44):
Year we're going to announce blah blah teams.
Speaker 3 (29:48):
And you know, I could say, okay, yeah, next year
we're going to expand to two teams. Maybe maybe over
the summer we'll hear that announcement that just to even
reaffirm season three of Hey, get your seat in three
tickets and guess what in twenty twenty seven, we have
X city, Y city put in your fifty dollars reservations today,
(30:10):
yea to lock in, you know, before the seat starts
going or whatever it is, bias shirt whatever, right, right,
Maybe we'll see speculation zone.
Speaker 1 (30:20):
Of course, of course.
Speaker 2 (30:22):
Look, I I think I think that's gonna be on
on the docket all off season until they say they're
locked in.
Speaker 1 (30:31):
Is the thing, you know.
Speaker 2 (30:32):
Because look, you talk expansion, expansion is like that phrase
in any level of arena in now spring football, it's
like the big dopamine, Like primal brain rush thing for
football fans, more markets, Oh my god, Oh my god,
new teams, new rosters, new head coaches.
Speaker 1 (30:53):
My city might have a football team that I didn't
have before. That's not NFL, you.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
Know, for anyone that's like not anti NFL, but like,
you know, NFL too big, blah blah blah. Yeah, that's
that's what it is. It's the big it's the big buzzword.
It gets people talking.
Speaker 3 (31:09):
Oh they love it. Yeah, no, well, and again it's
the all. It feels like one of the ultimate signs
of legitimacy.
Speaker 1 (31:14):
Right, growth.
Speaker 2 (31:16):
Everyone's see growth, instability, you know, yep, yep, yep. So
that is definitely a thing that says, oh, yes, we
definitely have interest, we definitely see this.
Speaker 3 (31:25):
I think this is the earliest we've ever seen US
another season confirmed because with the USFL, I think it
was the day after the championship, the first championship that
they confirmed season two, and then it was a little
bit longer after that we actually got official confirmation of
season three before it ultimately ended up merging.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
Right, And so this season haven't even finished.
Speaker 3 (31:48):
They're talking about season three and I kind of I
didn't know if it was coming. But funny enough, About
a week prior to this, I got an email with
a survey from the Roughnecks talking about twenty twenty six season,
and I said, Oh, interesting, interesting, they're already talking about
next year.
Speaker 1 (32:04):
I like that.
Speaker 2 (32:04):
You know, by the way, if you w on the
ticketing page or the Roughnecks, I'm gonna ask this, does
the name Kevin Kennedy ring a bell?
Speaker 1 (32:12):
No?
Speaker 2 (32:13):
Well, he's got two quotes on the like cell tab
of like things to promote why these games are great
to come to. So like each team has like quotes
of like fans, Kevin, if you're in this show, like
you have two of them. One of them is quote,
it's very affordable to come to these games. The other
one is quote interacting with the players has been something
(32:34):
that's been really impressive.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
Where do you can I put a quote in there?
Speaker 2 (32:38):
Go to the UFL dot com, click the Roughnecks team
logo and then you'll see it's in the season ticket
members get more. It's basically like the cell page for
the renewals. It's not like you can't put it in.
It's I'm getting in there. You should definitely throw one in.
Speaker 3 (32:53):
I'm gonna make that my mate page.
Speaker 2 (32:58):
It's like a Patreon but it'll just sound like a
Patreon brick. Actually, I'm not even gonna lie.
Speaker 3 (33:04):
It'll be that stupid video clip I clipped of Trump
at the State of the Union.
Speaker 1 (33:09):
It's called Drill Baby Drill. Shout out, you know what.
Speaker 2 (33:15):
Shout out to the rough Necks for being sitting on
that one because like they got the drill Baby Drill
tab the drill Way Drill shirts actually on the members
get more photos.
Speaker 1 (33:24):
That's one of the shows.
Speaker 2 (33:25):
A tailgate for one of the tailgates are doing a
corn hole, both of them assuming father and son here.
They got drill Baby Drill on the shirts. Hell yeah,
right off the gate. And of course the Predator couple
because you can't you can't have the season ticket packages
about them mentioned they're shown in there.
Speaker 1 (33:41):
So they are the season ticket man. They I mean,
they're like season ticket extreme because they don't just go
to the Roughnecks games at home. They're like traveling to
every game they are. I signed them up. I mean
I couldn't do it. I did it. I mean that
one year and we traveled. It was season two of
the USFL.
Speaker 3 (34:03):
I was like dead and I only did it for
like half the season, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (34:07):
Right right, So we're more power to them, honestly, super
fans of Galore. More power to you if you can
go to extra games. You guys are the real ones
for real. Hell those Brahmas fans, I mean, Jesus, you
have one less game this year and you're gonna be
out there. Which, by the way, that's obviously that's been
talked about at length before the year. But uh, that
is something I'm watching for next year, and that is
(34:29):
on my I won't call it a to do list
of like discussion points, but I'll call it my radar.
It's one. It's one of the top priorities, like on
a market basis. Uh, san Antonio UFL. Yeah, because they
don't play We're gonna play this six game road trip
card again because no, we can't. You can't do it again.
Speaker 1 (34:49):
You gotta have that should be that, especially because that should.
Speaker 3 (34:53):
Be one of your prime target markets. There's no NFL
team for how much they have touted this market.
Speaker 2 (34:59):
I mean, remember, guys, they're trying we have talked about
San Antonio since the AAF days. They're trying to get
back to those days.
Speaker 1 (35:05):
So you can't.
Speaker 2 (35:07):
Like that's an example we talked about playing around with
the market. That's one that's very abrupt and in your
face is like, okay, so I'm a season ticket older,
I get one less game. Yeah, how do you sell that? Like,
you can't sell that, you know.
Speaker 3 (35:20):
And then in Saint Louis I saw on Facebook they're
all learning that they don't get that game included, so
they have to pay for that game.
Speaker 1 (35:27):
Yeah, exactly like that.
Speaker 2 (35:28):
That's Tom Foy right there, And that is again that's
where we talk about this, like cracks between like a
season ticket member versus the league is like, okay, you
got to repair some of that or at least start
mending that, because like that can lead to a full
out like not revolt, but just dissipation, you know. Right,
some people be like, oh, like Birmiham's like no, no, Birmingham.
(35:51):
Is that plus dumb scheduling. We knew about this from
last year type of thing or from years past type
of thing this past week, you know, but it can
lead us something like that on a regular basis. And
you don't want to see that, no, because you have
to fix that. And that's harder to do, is to
fix over time, fractured fans like that. But you know,
look at Michigan. There's got to be some tips from
(36:13):
the Michigan market that you got to take away and
start using because that has been a success story for
the league that I'm glad we get to talk about
more because that that's that's proof of the putting that
it's not you know, I see people talk about it.
It's not a USFL market issue. It's a how do
you correct errors issue? Right, That's it. That's the that's
the the evidence. They're the number three selling ticket market
(36:37):
in the US in the UFL this year they took
the crown from San Antonio on the average one. So
and you can talk money games or whatnot. No, Michigan's
proven it. They're they're moving up. You know, success plus
people on the ground and doing the work.
Speaker 1 (36:50):
It's good. I would argue this.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
The record helps to it does helps to be fair help.
But you can also and I've seen this in Arena
and indore. It's also how you go out and you
present yourself. You can get people to watch a product
that is a losing product. It is how you address
and attack it as a salesperson.
Speaker 1 (37:12):
So yeah, no, I do agree with that, I do,
but I have I do value. But yeah, your point
is absolutely valid.
Speaker 2 (37:18):
I don't want to erase that because that is true
that winning does cure many ills, it doesn't cure all
as again with Birmingham, I think it's a perfect example
of it. You have to do more than just win first,
you have to be present and do stuff.
Speaker 3 (37:31):
So yeah, because even that it's like you're winning championships
and there's still there's and that's where having local will help.
But we do have some transactions, some that I'm sure
you don't want to talk about.
Speaker 1 (37:44):
Others that I'm sure other people will be happy to
hear about pain suffering.
Speaker 2 (37:49):
I want to I want to call I want to
call off work because I got to process this a
little more.
Speaker 3 (37:55):
Well, it's just in time for this weekend too, So
this is unfortunate news. Frank gin to move to ir
did I I think I heard Peck injury?
Speaker 1 (38:04):
Is that what's going on?
Speaker 2 (38:05):
That's what I understand is. Yeah, it's pectoral, which is
the same injury had last year. Yeah, so that is
a rough go for him.
Speaker 3 (38:15):
Yeah, that's that's always a shame because you know, especially
short seasons, good season you're going in you know, probably
going to be in the playoffs, and so having to
sit and watch that from the sidelines is going to
be tough, regardless of like the gameplay. I'm just looking
at from like his perspective.
Speaker 1 (38:34):
You hate to see that.
Speaker 2 (38:35):
Yeah, And you know, we talked a little bit at
length on around the UFL with this, but they've been
this defense has been ravaged by injuries. Vante Taylor also
out on IR as well. One of the key cornerbacks,
Javi and White's been hurt and has been dealing with
problems this year, which I think I'm hoping his wasn't
(38:56):
as severe, so I'm hoping that he's back for the playoffs.
But like that linebacking corp has been ripped pieces from
injury to this year as well.
Speaker 1 (39:02):
It's not been It's been hard.
Speaker 2 (39:03):
You know, they've had to juggle a lot of kind
of those two level positions as well. They're making it work,
but you know, at some point, you know, you guy
to see if something gives or you hope to get
a little healthy but rough blow. And it's a leader too,
and it also I have to say this because I
want to keep stressing this and I hope the league
takes this stance next year. It's a league star, you know,
(39:23):
like we have actual like UFL stars that are guys
that have come back like year four, year five for
spring football. Like that's what I hate is you lose
a star in the league that's like out there and
doing his thing and like being like, hey, I'm playing,
I'm killing it and I'm doing this and making a
career in football here, you know too.
Speaker 1 (39:42):
So it just sucks all around.
Speaker 2 (39:44):
That's a great that's a you know, and he was
also having an excellent year where he was looking like
he was on pace for another Defensive Player of the
Year nod.
Speaker 1 (39:51):
You know.
Speaker 2 (39:52):
Now that's a little more up in the air. But
it's just too bad, it really is. It's a great,
great leader.
Speaker 3 (39:58):
Well, moving to the other side of things, So if
you're a Stallion's fan, this is probably the best news
you've heard in a while, because if you haven't been
paying attention, you know, last year we thought they had
an injury problem because they had I think at one
point fourteen injuries. Turned out didn't really be much of
a problem because they won the championship. This year, they
(40:20):
have another injury problem.
Speaker 1 (40:22):
But it seems very specific to the quarterback and what
are that the fifth quarterback? Fifth?
Speaker 2 (40:27):
Five five have played on turf this year in seven weeks,
in seven weeks, in seven weeks.
Speaker 3 (40:33):
And you know, one of those guys that went out
early in the season, Alex Mgoo looks to be returning
from ir which, as we saw last weekend, case Cook
has went down. Jmr came in, did j Mar stuff ruined?
Snatched victory away from my heart.
Speaker 1 (40:54):
But I can't even be mad at it. I can't
be mad at it.
Speaker 2 (40:57):
It really felt like I was watching twenty twenty two
all over again. The only thing that took me out
of it was that Jmar's helmet is like one of
those like newer looking ones they used to wear.
Speaker 1 (41:06):
And the fact that you see.
Speaker 2 (41:07):
The under Armoor logo on the jersey instead of just
the USFL in the pand it felt like three years ago. Yeah,
watching him step in and just do his thing to
save a game.
Speaker 1 (41:18):
Well, and I think you brought this up, Sack. How
crazy is it?
Speaker 3 (41:22):
We're heading to the offseason and there's a potential debate
on who's your starter, Alex.
Speaker 1 (41:28):
Magoo or j Mar Smith.
Speaker 4 (41:30):
Unreal in God's Year of twenty twenty five, and then
you throw in the mix case cookies is still enough
healthy to go in and you're like, wait, case what
he's on the Stallions?
Speaker 1 (41:41):
And I got to pick between those.
Speaker 3 (41:42):
Three the three championship quarterbacks basically not the championship, but how.
Speaker 2 (41:47):
The hell did the three from the three stars of
the twenty twenty two USFL Championship end up on the
same roster? Think about this, This is three years in
the making cinema right here. Yeah, you know, all the
heroes for that game, all the fun from that game,
now they're all right there, all the stories one quarterback
(42:08):
room and you got a nick one to play this week.
Speaker 3 (42:11):
Well, and it's so funny, right the Stallions fans got
bless their hearts there. There's still a little bit in
meltdown mode of like, oh my god, what a horrible season.
Speaker 1 (42:19):
And meanwhile they're five and two tied for the first
place of the USFL Division.
Speaker 3 (42:25):
And I mean, I wish I could be so picky,
all right, you know.
Speaker 1 (42:30):
How do you? I mean? This is it's unbelievable.
Speaker 2 (42:35):
The closest comp is the twenty twenty three season, Like
the first five weeks where I fell like sky's falling
in New Orleans and like out bed boat raced them
out the building and now it's like, wait a minute,
they're still there. Like if you're like, I imagine me
right now, Like I'm like, oh, whatever, freaking killer year.
We're five and two and Birmingham's right here, and I
(42:55):
don't feel confident at all being.
Speaker 1 (42:57):
Gift Wolves as a coach, Like what what is happening?
Speaker 2 (43:00):
They're in prime spot to still make another championship bid.
Speaker 1 (43:06):
They could be they could be hosting, for God's sake.
Speaker 2 (43:09):
If the things play out to where the tiebreakers lead
to Michigan losing Madness.
Speaker 3 (43:14):
It's uh, at least the last few weeks. Even if
the playoffs get locked in this weekend, the last few
weeks are gonna come down to them positioning because you
look at the top, but everybody's basically tied, tied up,
four way tie for the top spot. Bolt divisions, all right,
kind of fun, kind of and you know what, I'm
(43:35):
hoping to screw things up for you guys this weekend.
We'll get into the picks here shortly. You know, ref's law,
it's my law. My team should win. But oh and
we got other games to get to and stuff like
that first.
Speaker 2 (43:47):
But I can't imagine, and we should just definitely make
we should make a QB preiction as well. I can't
imagine you have to sit there and you are Skip
Holtz and going, man, who who the heck to? Why
picked this week? I just don't know how to do
it because I got, I got j mar I got,
I got Alex was back and all thing, and I
wanting to see him hit the field again.
Speaker 1 (44:09):
And case has been steady.
Speaker 2 (44:13):
Know, you do it, I drop the head and you
got You're going to Saint Louis this week, so expecting it,
you know, without it being a Friday, so expecting a
thirty k crowd in attendance to deal with. So you
got to pick the guy that's most ready for that
atmosphere too, you know, I mean, good freaking luck. I
(44:33):
see cases for all three. That's what's funny, Like I
I I can see all three having their own claim
to it wild.
Speaker 1 (44:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (44:44):
Hey, I'll just say this because this just came through
my inbox. If you have a child, they're free for
the rough Necks game this weekend. So if you're going
to the rough Necks game and you got some kiddos.
You don't need to buy them tickets, just bring them
to the game. Hey, well, actually check your email. You
got to click a link to get the tickets. I'll
just show up.
Speaker 2 (45:01):
You might want to, you might want to do that,
but oh hey, I'll tell you what from. And I'm
not a parent, but talking to parents, hey, kids, free thing.
It's always a good way to get them out of
the house and do something to you know, not sit around.
You know. Good for the parents and the folks. So
that's a win, it's a big win.
Speaker 3 (45:23):
Well, it's funny because I'm going to the game this
weekend with my friend and he's got kids, and I
wasn't sure if he was going to bring them, but
now I'm going to tell him to bring him Okay,
we got.
Speaker 1 (45:30):
Actually, well have a fun time. Why not just say
do more of that ufl ye. Yeah, I'll tell you
know that. You know you say that though, Zach. But
that was a huge focus of twenty twenty, and I
had a lot of conversations with their marketing team, and
(45:52):
they said, if you can get the kids hooked on
the product, you get their parents hooked on the product,
that sounds you can't beat that.
Speaker 2 (46:01):
That sounds as w w EE as you could have
imagined when you think about the focus on what w
w markets do, like that, that is that is a
staple to a team. I mean credit like it's not
totally wrong, like you want to you're thinking years on
the line if you're talking like that, but like still, hey.
Speaker 1 (46:19):
Free free kids weekend. Go check it out.
Speaker 2 (46:21):
It's football, you know, big game ahead. Maybe that'll maybe
the kids screams will distract ej or Sorry.
Speaker 1 (46:30):
They're putting Danny Etling out this weekend get.
Speaker 2 (46:33):
Away from get away, shut the camera off. You mentioned
mentioned that put that put that thoughts rest.
Speaker 1 (46:41):
I say, no, we got this game. It's the rough Necks.
M B.
Speaker 2 (46:46):
Perkins needs to reaffirm his story that he's the m
v P over Jordan Tamu And I'm not going to
say the name that Jake gives him because I.
Speaker 1 (46:53):
Feel it that's been Let's get into the picks because
we got to talk about this first game, because I
got so much to say about the second game. Okay,
so yeah, we gotta get through.
Speaker 2 (47:05):
Uh, it's not the most ideal Friday night matchup, guys.
Let let's just put it. Let's just get that out
of the way. It's the two teams that have no
stake anymore in the season. Memphis is going to San Antonio.
This is purely for entertainment's sake. If you love the
show Boats, if you love the Bramas, if you're a
fan of the Football League, you're tuning in to watch
(47:26):
and maybe see perhaps who's gonna get evaled for like
more tape or ideally because both these teams are gonna
have coaching discussions, so I think it's gonna be a
massive focus in this broadcast given that they're out of
the playoffs. Now, do these staffs have any staffs have
anything in the tank to show the league office that
they're worth keeping around Jim Turny Turner and Peyton Party.
(47:48):
You know, it's been rough years for both of them,
trying to deal with stuff and credit Wade Wade Phillips
hasn't said he's gone, but if I'm looking at the
writing on the wall, it sure feels like both these
teams are going to be evaluating who's leading at the
clipboard come next season.
Speaker 1 (48:05):
Yeah, yeah, you know, it's funny.
Speaker 3 (48:07):
I can't even remember who I submitted on my pick
sheet for this one.
Speaker 1 (48:13):
This week and that's how tough it is. It really
is tough because these teams, right, like, you know, I
that's the thing. We're getting it early this year.
Speaker 3 (48:22):
Usually, you know, it seems to always happen in the
last week of the season.
Speaker 1 (48:26):
We're just so happened to getting getting.
Speaker 3 (48:28):
It a few weeks earlier this year, which is a
shame because it feels like you can't really give it
the twist on the bat. Worst record gets the you know,
whoever wins gets the pick and the draft next year.
So there's a little bit of a shame out of it.
Speaker 1 (48:43):
I think I don't even know what I think, Zach.
I think I don't even know what I think.
Speaker 3 (48:51):
Oh no, I think I think the show boats are
going to pull it out.
Speaker 1 (48:54):
I think the Showboats. I don't really know.
Speaker 3 (48:58):
I don't have much to say other than here. I
think it's gonna be more entertaining than people think. To
your point, Zach, I think they're gonna be trying out
a lot of things that they wouldn't normally try out.
This game has the potential for either to be the
most exciting game of the weekend or a very boring,
(49:19):
slow game.
Speaker 1 (49:21):
But I'm thinking I think this game. It could be
like thirty eight, thirty nine or something like that. Zach.
We've seen these games in the NFL. Zach.
Speaker 3 (49:31):
I've been fans of the Lions for years, so I've
seen many of these games.
Speaker 1 (49:36):
End of the season. You don't want to go out.
Speaker 3 (49:39):
With one win on the season, so all of a sudden,
you're trying like crazy trick plays all second half and
you're getting like punters throwing touchdowns and like wacky things
kind of. That's what I want this game to be
this weekend. That's what I want it to be. This
game is a pride game. If there's this is both
(49:59):
of teams shot right here. This is their best shot
to get another win on the season, and I think
they're going to put their damn all into it, and
it could be it could even be overtime.
Speaker 2 (50:11):
Well, and keep in mind, well, I guess this wouldn't
apply because it is not the last game of the year,
so the tank Bowl like structure doesn't work that way.
But you know, loser does get a bit better draft status,
you know, think about that that way, you know, because
this wouldn't we haven't seen anything that would rule it
(50:31):
being this way, and I don't think they would want
to call it a tank Bowl now, because like what
happens if you call it that?
Speaker 1 (50:37):
Three games?
Speaker 2 (50:38):
Yeah, Like that's why Week ten works, because like it's
it's finite. So yeah, winner of this gets a tiebreaker
and would be second pick. If things hold out the
way they do, loser likely barring complete flip, is probably
gonna be the number one pick for the twenty twenty
six collegiate draft. So something to keep in mind because remember,
(51:00):
like if we're talking next year, I mean that's also
a piece of this as you're basically drafting for prospects
or potential new recruits you're going to get in post
the NFL circuit, you know, draft wise for the league.
So things we're watching out for right there too.
Speaker 3 (51:16):
Well, And you know what's crazy about this, Zach. It
really shows that any given year in spring football, anything
could happen. We saw it with the Pittsburgh Mallers a
few years ago where they went from the worst team
to being in the championship the next year. Now we
have the Brahmas, who were in the championship last year
and the first team to be eliminated from the.
Speaker 1 (51:38):
Playoffs this year. Shortly after by the Showboats I think
the following day.
Speaker 2 (51:44):
But yeah, I have a new twist thanks to James
Larson as we're talking. So according to James and I'm
reading his tweet right now, quote, the Showboats will see
movement of QB over the final few games. All three
are expected to it snaps. So this is a it's
gonna be a rotation.
Speaker 1 (52:05):
Throughout.
Speaker 3 (52:06):
This is what I want to see it put them
all three on the field at the same time.
Speaker 1 (52:09):
Don't be scares.
Speaker 2 (52:10):
This doesn't change my pick, but it definitely makes me
more uncertain because all three of them are their own beast.
Because I picked Memphis for this, I felt slightly shaky
with either one because it's just again one in six teams,
But now I feel even more because no rhythm. If
you're gonna do multiple in a game, so fun, good
luck with that.
Speaker 1 (52:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (52:34):
My bet is is that San Antonio's defense is complete
dog doodoo. I don't trust it whatsoever, And I think
the Memphis Memphis with Jaren Horton is able to do
enough to keep Kevin Hogan and company at Bay to
where they can squeak out a win.
Speaker 1 (52:49):
In San Antonio.
Speaker 2 (52:50):
That's my rational But that becomes complicated more so if
I have to play a qb roulette for the last
three weeks of the season and I don't know who
the hell's going to be in and what quarter, what possession,
what drive. So good luck to everyone out there. That's
gonna be a fun little experiment to see because odds
(53:10):
are that's also probably trying to see if you have
anything in the tank for next year.
Speaker 1 (53:16):
You know, I debate.
Speaker 2 (53:18):
I mean, I don't know if a g I don't
know who Floyd turns is always uncertain, but like there's
a high possibility all three of these qbs could try
and return sans maybe a draft pick or something.
Speaker 1 (53:29):
So put that out there. I'm just gonna say it. Yep.
Speaker 3 (53:34):
Now, Game of the Week, Zach, Game of the Week,
Game of the flipping week, refs law the game Michigan,
the Panthers coming all the way down to Houston. Put
the swing is on the bus because we're getting down.
I mean, Houston's gonna win this game, you know that, right?
This is a trap game, Michigan.
Speaker 1 (53:54):
Yeah, look how look at what we did to the
Birmingham Stallions in the first half of that game. Week Okay,
just look at it. Look what we did.
Speaker 3 (54:03):
Michigan isn't gonna be able to come back from our
first half walloping.
Speaker 1 (54:08):
We're gonna be so good. It's gonna be amazing.
Speaker 3 (54:11):
CJ is gonna show the world why he's coach of
the Year, Coach of the decade, coach of our lifetime.
There's this is our chance, and we're already three hundred
times better than we were at this point last season.
Speaker 1 (54:27):
Time to make a four hundred, you have to make
a four hundred.
Speaker 2 (54:30):
Boy, I I man, I love I love hearing hearing
your talk on this and it's always the energy, it's
always high. But yeah, I'm gonna eat Homer pick or not.
I'm gonna stick with Michigan.
Speaker 1 (54:44):
Here exactly my regret. Dude.
Speaker 2 (54:46):
You know how it is with us meeting up when
it's Houston Michigan matchups.
Speaker 1 (54:49):
I gotta pick the other side. I gotta do that.
Speaker 2 (54:52):
These are special occasions for you and I where we
watch to see who can laugh on social media.
Speaker 1 (54:58):
Usually it's been me.
Speaker 2 (54:58):
Lately, by the way, But okay, I'm just saying, we'll
see who's laughing at halftime, Zach.
Speaker 1 (55:06):
Okay, we'll see. Oh you're killing me.
Speaker 3 (55:15):
What is your silly logic around this win that Michigan
can't pull off.
Speaker 2 (55:20):
I think I think the Panthers offense is hitting it
his stride at the right time. I think Perkins has
been getting better. I think that the fact that Matt
Colburn coming back for the run game is a huge boon,
not only for switching up between TOA and Company, but
also the fact that now you have two pass catching backs.
One's more of a bruiser, one's more of a guy
that can kind of sleep, slink and slunk between tackles.
(55:44):
I think the defense is my worry, Houston, I feel,
and this is where I'll give you bonus points here
if they protect mcclennan and they don't completely collapse in
the second half in protection, which I will say Michigan's
pass rush is a bit decimated thanks to linebacker injuries
and just some banged up stuff. Garrett Marino, by the way,
didn't practice apparently today as we're recording, So keeping that
(56:06):
in mind is one thing. But you know, if they
can control, if they can can control the line against
Michigan's front and maybe get quick passes, you know, and
attack that passing game efficiently, I think there is a
chance for a fun game here. I think I think
it would be a fun game because Houston's much better
with JAYL. Mclenton behind center anyway, and they do have
(56:28):
some weapons now, but I don't trust the Roughnecks to
pull this out. And I think that Michigan's overall roster,
and I think that just in general, I think it's
just a better run team right now. So yeah, I'm
gonna go with Houston or sorry, put that back.
Speaker 1 (56:47):
That could Freudian slip.
Speaker 3 (56:51):
Sick boy, I'm going to Michigan.
Speaker 1 (56:55):
But now you have that one for later use feel free?
Why not? Prediction?
Speaker 2 (57:02):
C J.
Speaker 3 (57:03):
Johnson will have a successful super Challenge this weekend. Nay
oh man, he will have two successful super challenges this weekend.
Speaker 2 (57:16):
Mister mister, I'll challenge anything for the sake of both.
Speaker 1 (57:22):
Before the first half ens for like a cumulative of
like six and a half yards, someone's I could see
it nothing, He's there.
Speaker 3 (57:36):
This is our week those super challenges, they're going our way, Houston's.
Speaker 1 (57:41):
We'll be there. Some of us will be there. We're
gonna I'll be there.
Speaker 2 (57:45):
Expect I think expect high. I don't expect high offensive.
We can see more this this past few weeks. But like,
I think it'll be a fun game, Like I'm gonna
be playing out there like this will be another like
whoever's playing it, like both of us are gonna be
sweating it out. This is gonna be some obvious route
or anything like last year's games. This will be a
sweat out contest, So be prepared.
Speaker 3 (58:06):
The only thing I'm worried about, Zach is if coach
runs a starts like magging our players.
Speaker 1 (58:13):
Out on the sideline, because I don't know.
Speaker 3 (58:16):
I mean, he's got like the he's almost like the
Chad meme too. I shouldn't even say these things because but.
Speaker 1 (58:22):
Anyway, he kind of is.
Speaker 3 (58:23):
And I just see him on the silid just magging them,
and that might that might impact them.
Speaker 1 (58:27):
I'm not gonna lie. I'll be scared because I sit
on the visitors side.
Speaker 3 (58:31):
Like if he looks over at me, I'm gonna be like,
oh shit, don't it's I'm hard to it's hard to
hide in this damn shirt.
Speaker 1 (58:38):
He's gonna start mogging me halfway through the game.
Speaker 3 (58:40):
I told you about when rest law when it the first.
Speaker 1 (58:44):
Week it didn't happen. He dm me on Twitter, is
like rest law with a big X. I'm happy too,
trust me. Oh my god, that's what I'm most worried. Hilarious.
Speaker 2 (58:57):
I hope he does. I hope he does. Same time frame.
Birmingham is going to take on Saint Louis. Now we
have our game of the week because it's US two.
This I think is the consensus game of the week
for most people's thought, whether it's the quarterback decision, whether
it's Birmingham visiting Saint Louis, which trust me, we are
(59:17):
at all last year about the if they play in
Saint Louis, there's no way they're gonna win. So this
is a big like moment for like, look at Birmingham,
let's see if they can play under pressure after not
winning in d C with the crowd, noise, theory going
out and about so big game I think there and
for the Saint Louis Battlewock's look, I mean this is
about seeding as well.
Speaker 1 (59:38):
Accredit.
Speaker 2 (59:40):
We've talked a bit about in some other shows d
C and in Discord. The DC might have to discuss
on who's playing where. We'll talk later when that gets
confirmed or not. But you know, look, you're playing for seeding.
You're playing for bragging rights. You know, it's a highly
contested game last year, very chippy game last year. These
(01:00:00):
two definitely are the are the ones that I think
were darlings of both their sides of the coin and
the merger, and I think that's stuck since last year's matchup.
So fascinating before we do that though, thoughts Again, I mean,
we do this every time to time, two broadcasts at once.
Speaker 1 (01:00:17):
I got to work through that.
Speaker 2 (01:00:19):
You know, I know it's not ideal, but it's them
as the breaks when it comes to the scheduling side
of it.
Speaker 1 (01:00:27):
You know that it always seems to happen for the
games that I go to in person. There's a few
times where it was not, and those were fine because
I got to sit in my office or on my
TV multiview with both.
Speaker 3 (01:00:42):
The games, and I'm like, okay, this is kind of
neat being at the game. It kind of sucks because
I'm trying to pay attention to the game on the field.
But then I'm watching the game on the phone, and
you know, I watch all the games as it is,
but of course it would have to be during like
these two are the two games.
Speaker 1 (01:00:59):
That I'm at Actually like I want.
Speaker 3 (01:01:01):
I'm I'm invested in that Stallion's battle Hawks game one
for a couple of reasons too. If Houston has a
shot of getting in the playoffs, you kind of want
the Stallions to lose. Although we'll get to my pick,
and you know, I want to just to me that
I won't say which game, but I think we all
know which game. I wouldn't mind if it was overlapping
(01:01:23):
with here of all the games on the on the map, right,
So anyway, you know, what can you do? I'll say
this going toward like the actual game itself, Yes, Birmingham
is going to have to travel to Saint Louis.
Speaker 1 (01:01:40):
I'm play in front of one.
Speaker 3 (01:01:41):
Of the loudest, rowdiest crowds that the UFL has. We've
even seen how it can ruffle feathers in the past
with your team Zach right, like it even got.
Speaker 1 (01:01:51):
Under his skin so much.
Speaker 3 (01:01:52):
Whether it was spitting or not spitting, things happened, right,
and those things help during the game, right.
Speaker 2 (01:01:58):
Yes, QB switch or not, I will give credit where
credits do that That crowded look, that crowd's legit they
that is that is a true, honestly the most true
home field advantage you're going to find in the league
right now. You know, DC does have somewhat of one. Personally,
I don't think it's the same as it's in previous years.
(01:02:20):
That's up for debate, but it's definitely President Saint Louis
hands down. You can't debate that whatsoever. So you know,
you gotta deal with the crowd noise. You gotta deal
with the crowds getting getting on you and being right
next to you and a bunch of people on top
of you. And you know, as many of those guys
know that are in this league now, it's gonna feel
kind of like if you've been in the NFL.
Speaker 1 (01:02:42):
You'll know, if you've been.
Speaker 2 (01:02:43):
In a bigger college program, you're gonna remember. It's gonna
feel like that again.
Speaker 1 (01:02:48):
Yep. Now I'll say this, especially after last weekend, Zach,
you can never count out coach Skip Holtz and the Stallions.
Oh yeah, you can't do it.
Speaker 3 (01:03:03):
He will out coach you nine point nine times out
of ten, if not ten times out of ten.
Speaker 1 (01:03:10):
He will just do it every time.
Speaker 3 (01:03:12):
And when it comes to loud fans, good coaches, great players,
huge leads at halftime, It never flipping matters.
Speaker 1 (01:03:23):
The outcome is generally the same.
Speaker 3 (01:03:26):
Stallions win and you could say, yes, they've basically locked
up the playoffs, but we know skip Holtz, he does
have a there is.
Speaker 1 (01:03:38):
He has a little bit of ego. For as humble
as he is, he's gonna want that damn number one spot.
Speaker 3 (01:03:46):
And especially after Houston beats Michigan this weekend, you know
he's gonna be on the sidelines looking at that score
and if they're down by two and he sees, oh,
the Roughnecks pulled it out. They beat Michigan, he's gonna
gonna draw up that play and he's gonna get the win.
The only way the Stallions lose this weekend is if
(01:04:07):
they say, fine, the Panthers lost. But I think they're
gonna capitalize on it.
Speaker 1 (01:04:12):
And either way you look at it, Panthers win, They're
gonna want to win that much more to stay in
the hunt for that number one spot. Although there's gonna
be opportunities to even that out later in the season,
every win counts. There's only three games left.
Speaker 2 (01:04:28):
Right Oh yeah, I mean it's it's getting tight, and
again it's you know, again, we still have to talk
about seating and whatnot. But it's a big deal and
I think it's also bragging rights again. This game, I
think matters a little bit more because it's again there
was a chippy rivalry game last year, you know, like
it had rivalry vibes to it. You know, we talked
(01:04:49):
a lot of times, we'd hear about and talk about
how like the interconference thing, you know that kind of
like off field on social debate was brought into the
conversations to help stem me like interest. This is a
game that fits that narrative very well. We saw it
last year to a t. You know, part of was
mccarrn coming home to or coming back to Birmingham and
(01:05:11):
kind of in Alabama that vibe, like those two teams
really got at each other. And I think we're gonna
see a similar thing again where it's gonna be you know, gonna.
Speaker 1 (01:05:19):
A chippy affair.
Speaker 2 (01:05:20):
You know, definitely bragging rights on on notice right now.
But it's gonna be fun.
Speaker 1 (01:05:27):
One.
Speaker 2 (01:05:29):
I do think that because and this is where we
talk football. Mh, I'm gonna have to go to Birmingham
and here's the thing, So Saint Louis, I gotta give
credit because Michigan when they when they played Michigan. You know,
they did enough in the passing game to hit big
plays to just knock them out of contention. Is the thing.
(01:05:51):
You know, we I've talked, like we've talked on chats
and on around the UFL. I've seen the chats on
this where I've debated it. Yeah, some big plays knocked
them out. We can talk to Danny Etling what if
scenario on like the pick setting up another possession and
you know, touchdowns and whatnot. But I will say that,
you know, passing game for Saint Louis besides that still
(01:06:15):
not sold.
Speaker 1 (01:06:15):
And that's not just me.
Speaker 2 (01:06:16):
That's a lot of us here at PFN that we're wondering.
Can Max, much like when we talked about Manny Wilkins,
can Max Dugan lead this offense in the air to
a victory, you know, in a consistent basis and such
where you know we can have some confidence there. And
I think this is a game that's going to really
(01:06:37):
test this because that b Ham running rushing game or
rushing defense is no joke. And I know that people
like well, look as a Quandre Wright, he ran for
you know, massive touchdown run last week. Yes, but if
you look at his stats outside one broken run. I
mean they locked him down like it was one outlier
(01:06:58):
run that got him. This is a good front seven
that Birmingham presents, and they're gonna, I think, realize and
I think they're going to sell out hard to stop Mac,
stop Jacob Sailors, and I think especially to contain the
RPO game that Max Dugan has that DC did a
great job containing Manny Wilkins with. So what do you
(01:07:20):
do differently if you're Anthony Beck to not get locked
into the same problems you had with DC of Manny Wilkins,
Because I think they're gonna play that exact same game plan. Okay, okay,
Max has been running around, he bails out of the
pocket to do this RPO, all right, Steven bbs through
the air because we can. We think we can stop
him in the run. In the ground game, I think
(01:07:41):
that's the make or break. If they find some sort
of passing game and you don't have say Magoo or
JMR or case get Hot, which I mean, hey, Magoo
could be playing and who knows how much he looks
rusty from IR I mean that could change it. But
I got Birmingham right now, that defense I think is
gonna lock down that run, that run game, and I
(01:08:01):
don't trust Max Dugan to consistently find passing options to
get a win.
Speaker 1 (01:08:06):
That's my problem. Yep.
Speaker 3 (01:08:08):
All right, cool, So we got both got Birmingham, which
leads us to the final game of the weekend, Renegades
traveling to DC to take on the Defenders.
Speaker 1 (01:08:17):
This is gonna be a fun one. I think this
will be fun, just like the last one in Arlington.
Really do Yeah? I think so well.
Speaker 3 (01:08:24):
And I mean, you know, there's a little on the
line for the Renegades here.
Speaker 1 (01:08:29):
It's kind of do or die.
Speaker 3 (01:08:30):
So you know, if if you're ever gonna put on
a showcase, you know, this is the time to do it.
Speaker 1 (01:08:36):
And and you know, they're they're.
Speaker 3 (01:08:39):
Probably they haven't forgot their last outing, and they're they're
they're you know what they got on their mind. We
gave up the biggest comeback in history of the UFL.
Speaker 1 (01:08:51):
I think they're gonna by the way, Yeah, think about this.
They gave up the two largest.
Speaker 2 (01:08:57):
Comebacks in the season and the he's a little short history.
They did it to DC and they did it to Michigan. Yeah, like,
think about this.
Speaker 1 (01:09:06):
That's insane.
Speaker 2 (01:09:08):
You gave up the most twice this year.
Speaker 1 (01:09:12):
Holy crap.
Speaker 2 (01:09:13):
People Like, if you're an Arlington fan, it is a
little saltier when you realize how much different this season looks.
Speaker 1 (01:09:21):
If you just maintain for a few drives, that's it. Yeah.
So I think this is their week, Zachie boy. I
think this is.
Speaker 3 (01:09:31):
The week they rebound. I think that okay, when it's
all on the line, we saw what this team can be, Zach.
When they win, they're like, this is the problem they
had last year.
Speaker 1 (01:09:43):
Isn't it funny?
Speaker 3 (01:09:44):
When they win, they look like an amazing team. When
they lose, they look like an amazing team for three quarters.
And sometimes both teams just don't show up. And that's
like DC, though also has been having their struggles. They've
gotten lucky, it feels like, and well that's me and
I don't want to say lucky, because they have they
(01:10:05):
were able to spin those games around.
Speaker 1 (01:10:08):
But momentum is a crazy thing, right and so firming
not Birmingham. If Arlington can can get in their.
Speaker 3 (01:10:16):
Heads enough, break their plays enough to stop them from
getting continuous momentum, I think they can pull this game out.
And I do think they are going to pull this
game out. I think they're gonna survive for another week.
Speaker 2 (01:10:28):
Wow, Okay, I mean, look, they had them dead to
rights and I said two largest. They gave up the
second largest. Houston obviously gave up the largest. But they've
given up one of the two of the largest comeback
come behind victories of the year. This team, I mean,
it's funny like the first part of the season felt
like they had gotten rid of what was the bob stoops,
(01:10:49):
you know, gremlins of well, we just we just haven't
been executing in the small things. You know, it felt
like they turned a corner and now they're back to
their old selves. Now we see the same renegade. We're
back on that phase up. This is the same old
Arlington from twenty twenty four and from like most of
twenty twenty three where they just can't get out of
their own way. And you know, again DC, very winnable game.
(01:11:11):
They have a double digit lead. Just lock down, play
simple offense and kind of keep your head foot on
the gas and maybe you pull it out. But you know,
one thing, I will give DC credit. And you know,
as you know and as others know, I get, I've
been dogging on them all year. I I for most
of the year, I have not bought into this team
because I see flaws.
Speaker 1 (01:11:32):
But what I will put.
Speaker 2 (01:11:34):
Down and I will and I will say with confidence,
is that that passing attack has been getting better. And
I do I do see that they have been slowly
but surely finding a little bit more footing. The erratic
passes are still a little erratic. For Jordan Tom. I
still don't like how erratic he is in the completion percentage,
but they do hit big and they are finding a
(01:11:56):
little bit more consistency and hitting big now. Credit some
of that could be because Santonio last week and second
half of the final realized, oh yeah, we're a much
better roster than this team. Why are we behind against
the Brahmas right now? But you know, I think that's improving.
The Dow have home field advantage, so a little bit
extra there. You know that the defender's home audi field.
Speaker 1 (01:12:18):
Does get loud.
Speaker 2 (01:12:18):
It's a good acoustic field, you know, so you got
to deal with that. Arlington's used to playing there. But
I can't pick against the Rennick. I can't pick against
the defenders that is for this one. You know, I
think the momentums on their side. I think they are
actually finding a little bit of stride offensively, and quite frankly,
I said this two weeks ago. My confidence and my
(01:12:42):
hype on Arlington turning a corner, I've thrown out the door.
I've lost all trusts.
Speaker 1 (01:12:46):
The same it's the same team, you know.
Speaker 2 (01:12:47):
I talked about how DC is a wolf in sheep's
clothing with people in terms of how good they are. Sorry,
Arlington showed that when they gave up. When they've given
up two of the largest come from behind victories of
the year this year, classic Stoop's regime mistakes, and I
think it's gonna bite them again. Maybe I'm wrong. This
team is very capable beating DC. I'll give you that.
(01:13:08):
They have the tools, they have the assets to do
so can they.
Speaker 1 (01:13:12):
Get out of their own way?
Speaker 2 (01:13:14):
That's the question that keeps looming over this damn team.
If you're an Arlington fan, Can they get out of
their damn way to win a game?
Speaker 1 (01:13:21):
I don't think they do well. We're gonna find out soon.
Speaker 2 (01:13:24):
And that's the most That's the most stephen A you'll
ever see me on this show, I think is like that.
So I don't know, maybe let's wait until something else
sets me off.
Speaker 1 (01:13:33):
Maybe I'll get that way too someday. Well, I'm sure
you're gonna have a lot to say next week after
the rough Necks beat the pop.
Speaker 2 (01:13:40):
That actually will set me off if I if I
lease to your team and I'll have to go on
full defense mode for a week, and that will be fun.
Speaker 1 (01:13:49):
All I'll say is I told you so. If it happens,
which it will.
Speaker 3 (01:13:52):
It's gonna have It's gonna be a good game. It's
gonna be a great game. It's gonna be the best
game of the week.
Speaker 2 (01:13:57):
Mister Coach of the Year is gonna show his code.
He's gonna show his fate best of his best of mixtape,
which is the usual suspect stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:14:06):
So hell yeah, that covers him, SpongeBob and whatever the
star name is.
Speaker 1 (01:14:13):
This is was this ocean?
Speaker 2 (01:14:15):
Was this ween?
Speaker 1 (01:14:16):
Yeah? Play ocean man, That's right, Hell yeah it is.
But I'm looking forward to this weekend. Uh. I'm also
a little sad because you know, after this weekend, there's
only a couple of weeks left. It's crazy and get
to the books. Yeah, soon we'll be talking about C. J.
Speaker 3 (01:14:34):
Johnson legitimately being Coach of the Year, and I'm gonna say,
ce see, it's gonna be hard.
Speaker 1 (01:14:39):
I mean, if we get even.
Speaker 3 (01:14:40):
If we don't make the playoffs and we get to
five hundred, that's five hundred times better than we were
last year.
Speaker 1 (01:14:47):
Name a team you and I do.
Speaker 2 (01:14:49):
Gotta put our ward our Ward season stuff up here,
and probably honestly, the Week ten episode I think will
probably be either that or either that or the lead
into the playoffs probably be our will be our Award
show kind of set up, So stay tuned for that.
I might actually wear a suit coat for that exciting
well dress, we'll dress.
Speaker 1 (01:15:08):
Up, make it look a little nicer.
Speaker 3 (01:15:10):
Yeah yeah, well, do we have anything else or we
heading out?
Speaker 1 (01:15:15):
I didn't know anymore. Do you like pizza parties? Oh yeah, pizza.
Speaker 2 (01:15:19):
I mean this isn't really that big, but like I
just found it funny, like we've been seeing. So if
you've watched any Friday Fox Friday ufl or It's sorry,
it's Fox ufl Friday is what they call it. Officially,
it's sponsored by Pizza Hut. They announced just real quick
because I just I think it's funny reading it. But
they've officially announced that they are doing UFL Pizza Party
(01:15:43):
weekend giveaways.
Speaker 1 (01:15:47):
Let's see here.
Speaker 2 (01:15:47):
They're giving away one hundred pizza parties in the forum
of two hundred our Pizzahut gift cards as part of
its inaugurabal Pizza Party Weekend alorded by Pizza Hut for
the season. Fun little note I didn't realize until I
read this. As well as part of the sponsorship Offensive
Player of the Week Award PETE. For this, Pizza provides
a wing Wednesday to the player of the week's team.
(01:16:10):
So any of your Offensive Player of the Week nods,
they've been getting a wing Wednesday dinner as part of
at least according to the report. According to this, I
haven't seen a pictures of these things, but according to this,
that is what Pizza's providing.
Speaker 1 (01:16:25):
Is this?
Speaker 3 (01:16:26):
So you know what they say, nobody out peats Pizza
is the Hut and this is just another example of that.
Speaker 1 (01:16:34):
But you know who's really pissed about this. Kirby Wilson.
He's like, how could you let something like this happened.
He's gotta be seething in his chair, poor Kirby. He's
never gonna let it down.
Speaker 3 (01:16:45):
Man, I mean, at this point there's people that probably
don't even know what that even means or what that's
in reference to. But there's also a good shot.
Speaker 1 (01:16:55):
It is amazing we've gotten that far now to where like.
Speaker 2 (01:16:58):
People won't even VOI realize what the hell pizza gate is.
Speaker 1 (01:17:03):
Yeah, I'll tell you this.
Speaker 3 (01:17:06):
I signed up for some free pizza, though. I hope
I went to a free pizza. That's those joke, dude.
Speaker 2 (01:17:12):
You know who's having the last laugh though, is Davi
and Smith still in the league, still playing.
Speaker 1 (01:17:18):
Arlington.
Speaker 3 (01:17:20):
He's hopefully gonna get one of the you know, he's
gonna be looking forward to that wing Wednesday one day, maybe,
you know, and be like ha ha ha, Kirby, No
chicken salad for you, sir, Yeah, just chicken wings, Oh
my god, chicken salad to chicken wings with these three
(01:17:40):
easy steps.
Speaker 1 (01:17:44):
Spring ball Lord never dies. Yeah, oh good times, good times.
But yeah, I mean, hey, here's what I want to do.
Speaker 3 (01:17:54):
If anybody wins this pizza, please post it on social
media because I want to see I want to see
somebody win the damn pizza. I don't want this to
be like a information harvesting scheme giveaway two hundred dollars
pizza damn gift cards.
Speaker 1 (01:18:08):
I want to see somebody win it.
Speaker 2 (01:18:09):
Which, yeah, by the way, because this does say how
you can win, so I'll put that out there if
you're curious. If you're not, say you haven't read it
yet and you're listening to us and you're like, oh,
I can win a pizza party? Sweet, how do I
do this?
Speaker 1 (01:18:22):
So they're doing so.
Speaker 2 (01:18:23):
You you can either win by attending games and participating
in certain promos they're doing or games they're doing. You
can also win from watching at home. So I'm assuming
they're trying to do like a fifty to fifty split
doesn't really say what, but there's one hundred pzza parties
up for grabs, so just the heads up. You can
win two hundred dollars gift card for a pizza party.
(01:18:44):
Have fun with that. But yeah, you can win by
being a fan who is during the Pizza Hunt helmet shuffle,
they get to pick the helmet.
Speaker 1 (01:18:55):
So like those guys that.
Speaker 2 (01:18:56):
Get yeah, so like, you can win the helmet shuffle
and get a chance to win a pizza party winter
per quarter per game. Okay, you fel select one lucky
Winter per quarter. To win a pizza party. So uh,
maybe it's more skewed towards the at home experience, but
we'll we'll see, so keep that in mind. It's probably
so it's UFL Friday too, so I guess maybe twelve
(01:19:16):
pizza parties if it starts this week, and then a
custom pizza discount through the game and stay in video
boards wills play discount QR codes so you get entered
like that as well, and then enter for a chance
to win as well. You can just go online and
enter if you want from your couch, so uh.
Speaker 1 (01:19:32):
Yeah, go uh go have fun.
Speaker 2 (01:19:34):
Seven when a cheesy bites pizza. We tried that a
few weeks back in the beginning. Good stuff Ranch Flight.
Speaker 3 (01:19:41):

because if it's free.
Speaker 1 (01:19:45):
It's me Hell yeah, good stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:19:47):
I think that's it now. The pizza party was like
an optional, but I just screw it. Just want to
mention that you know who doesn't love pizza. Pizza man
can't grow a pizza As I go proceed after the
show to make brats.
Speaker 1 (01:20:01):
Dude, you can't go wrong with bro I haven't had
brought to a minute.
Speaker 2 (01:20:05):
