Speaker 1 (00:06):
And now time for the viewing room with Adam and Eton.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Welcome to the viewing room where we talk about the
films new and old, local and global. Today we're not
just talking about one movie or two movies, but over
thirty movies this year that have been chosen by well
in credible people to be nominated for Oscars.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
So we're here with the boys.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
Okay, We're here with Reed, one of the boys. He's
one of the boys. Okay, went to film school. Okay,
he's one of my top dogs. We're here with Dawson,
who runs the scenes by Dawson Film Account and he's
just a master at that letterboxed and and old things movies.
(01:04):
And obviously we have a lovely co host, Adam.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
Can I just back up and say, you said it
was chosen by credible people, and we just can we
just dissect that statement for a moment, because when you
look at this list, I gotta jump right into it.
When you look at this list of movies, I really
questioned the credibility of the choices. Right people making those choices.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
Well, I think at the end of the day, not
everything is gonna be us, And at least there's a
large demographic being shown this year of films that like, Hey,
I'm not a hugely a big fan of like musicals.
I'm not a huge musical guy, but there's a lot
of musicals that are being credited this year. Right, we uh,
(01:47):
we're seeing things like Wicked and Amelia Perez. Right, and
there's a horror film, the Substance, right, only one of
what's like, hmmm, not gonna spoil that trivia question, but
the Stance Is is nominated for an Oscar, which is
great to see some horror movies getting in there because
they're chronically snubbed to buy the Oscars, if we're being
(02:09):
honest with each other, right, especial a body horror film. Yeah,
something like that's kind of like a newer type of
genre wright or more a more niche aspect of that
horror horror.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
Whatever.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
Okay, so we're going through the Oscars today. We're gonna
watch it. We're gonna do some live reviews, some predictions.
I think Adam has put some money down.
Speaker 4 (02:33):
I put some money down, see, and I got I
got to talk about this. So I decided, you know,
every time I bet, I'm trying to find a new angle,
you know how can I how can I maximize my returns?
And the way I decided this time is, well, who
theoretically has the mind to calculate? You know what the
best possible bets are statistically.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
Oh the guy in Captain America. That that that guy,
that guy the probability bad guy.
Speaker 5 (02:58):
He can get that.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
But since I don't have easy access to him, chat GPT.
So I said to chat GPT, I'm betting a total
of eight dollars on the Oscars this year. I want
to bet across multiple categories of awards.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
What what?
Speaker 4 (03:14):
What should I bet to maximize my returns? So it
gave me a series of bets and I put those
down and that's all I put down. We're gonna see
what happens.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Cool producer Gary big thanks to him for producing our
episode and making it awesome.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
This is gonna be great.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
And also big shot out to you Adam here who
did all of our technical aspects and Andy Palmer who
did a fantastic job making all of our.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
Graphics that you see and I understood a great job.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
Now what was I talking about? I lost my train
of thought completely.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
What the show lineup is? What all we're doing on
the show.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
Yeah, Well, we got trivia wrote the ad breaks and
stuff like that. We got predictions, and we're gonna go
recap some of the movies we've seen this year, and
if we agree with maybe the decisions from voters, does
its line up with what we would have predicted?
Speaker 3 (04:09):
Producer Gary here As.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
I think bet twenty four dollars on some choices that
I maybe suggested. So let's maybe go down the line.
We'll start off Adam and the back will work way
towards me.
Speaker 3 (04:20):
What are your guys'.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Predictions any like strong? Don't do every category, but is
there anything strong coming out to you right now as
a strong winner or someone who is just out in
the open?
Speaker 4 (04:34):
I honestly think where was it? I'm most looking up
at the list here. I think that the elite actress
from Amelia Perez is gonna win Leading Actress. I know
that's a weird pick, but I just think that I
don't know, I just think that there's that's it's gonna win.
Amelia Prez is gonna win at least one or two
(04:55):
of the major categories, and I think that's one that's
most likely.
Speaker 6 (04:57):
To Okay, I think Karan Culkin has the best supporting
actor in the bay. I watched A Real Pain the
other day and he was just blown away by his performance.
Think he nailed it. I think everyone was right to
say that he's gonna get it, and I've seen that
he has the most leading percentage I think to win it,
and I'm in that. Honestly, I think I think he
has that one.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
Yeah, yeah, good actor, anything else for sure.
Speaker 6 (05:25):
I also think A Nora has a very solid chance
of winning Best Picture. Yeah, Oscar is kind of like
an an underdog, you know, Sean Baker a little bit
of an underdog, I guess, and you know this is
his first movie nominated.
Speaker 7 (05:36):
I believe, I.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
Think so, but like, yeah, I definitely see him, could be, like,
could be one of the winners. I'd see.
Speaker 6 (05:45):
Those are my two pretty I.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
Mean even looking even looking at the betting odds here,
Daron Culkin one O two yeah, and Edward Norton is
an eleven. That's the like the next that's the next
odds so like, I mean, yeah, and.
Speaker 6 (05:59):
Ed Dorton next is crazy, Like I do think I
wasn't very blown away by him in a complete unknown
at all.
Speaker 4 (06:05):
Well, when I first saw it, I'm like, wait, that
has to be a typo but like no, because I
didn't really realize he was doing that.
Speaker 6 (06:11):
But no, it saw nothing really special from him.
Speaker 3 (06:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (06:15):
Reed, I feel like I'm I'm a different breed here.
Speaker 8 (06:20):
The only best picture I've seen this year is Dune
Part two, So I'm going to we did Yes, So
I'm gonna be in the back road just kind of
screaming Dune Part two, Dune Part two, even though I
don't think it really is going to win much, if
anything besides the actual like it sound, I think yes, sound, yes,
(06:42):
that is the and cinematography as well. So it's like,
I hope it does win something, but I'll be I'll
be the happy guy who does win Best Picture.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
But you know, I uh, I'll follow you on that
train with the Done Too. I don't think Dune is
going to win Best Picture, or it very well could.
I just it's not in my kind of like strong feeling.
I think Doom Too is gonna get cinematography.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
I think so.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
I think I think there is some good solid contenders
between like the Brutalist or Anora or or things like that.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
But I don't know.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
I just I could definitely see Doom two getting cinematography
and then Doune three winning Best Picture as kind of
more like, oh, this.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
Is kind of a more rounded trilogy, now, you know
what I mean.
Speaker 7 (07:30):
Well, that's like what happened with like Lore of the Rings,
I think.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
Right, yeah, I believe so or No Return of the
King was the one that was yes, okay perfect, so
it could get that same. So that's that's my thinking
exactly right. I think Zoe Saldana is gonna win Supporting Actress.
I watched Amelia Press today and I think she did
do a good job. I disagree that she is a
supporting actress. I watched that movie today and I think
(07:55):
it's absolutely insane to say she's a supporting actress. She
is the main character. She plays, Amelia Press. The movie
is named Amelia Perez. You know what I mean. It's
like Mickey Madison being supporting actress in Anura.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
She plays Anora, you know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Yes, No, she's considered like the that one. I don't
understand that at all. That doesn't make sense.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
The cartel person who becomes like who transitions into the
like the female is is I guess I forget the
actor's name or actress's name. But they're they're like the
main character, like main actress. So I don't really necessarily
agree with that. I watched that movie today, and I
think Zoe Saldana has a way bigger part in the
(08:37):
whole movie. She gets roped into it, and she has
to like fight with her own morals and stuff like
that of being like working with the cartel and her
professional life and stuff like that, and so I really,
I really just don't see how she is a supporting actress.
I think the only reasoning in my in my mind
is that she's gonna win. But they wanted like someone
(09:00):
like Mickey Madison or someone to win Best Actress, and
and so they were like, oh, you know what we're
gonna do, it's too difficult for us to decide. So
Zoe Saldana, you're gonna be a supporting actress. And then
that way you're like guaranteed to win an Oscar and
and we're gonna give it to someone else, you know
what I mean? Yeah, that's that.
Speaker 1 (09:19):
Who even decides.
Speaker 4 (09:20):
Like I don't really know much about the Oscars because
I don't really pay attention to them.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
It's a committee, like there's like a committee, a special
commity committee, so.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
They can just decide that like in this case, like
there's no I.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
Think I think it's probably anonymous vote. That's exactly Adrian Brody.
I actually think his odds of winning Best Actor are
pretty high.
Speaker 1 (09:40):
I'm gonna I I don't think he does.
Speaker 4 (09:43):
I think because like when you like, like, he does
a great job. But the problem with it is they
used like AI to essentiate the accents, and I think
that that coming out in the last you know, however
many you know, months or whatever, is not going to
contribute to it's not going to give him a good
(10:05):
good odds honestly, right like because I think, especially with
all the controversy over AI nowadays and artistic spaces especially,
that you're going to see that some people are gonna boycott.
I don't know, maybe like it's it's certainly closer between
him and Timothy shall May, but I don't know.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
Yes, Timothy's Shalla may Is is up there too.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
I'd say it's probably between them.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
Would you say it's too early in Timothy's career to
win an Oscar?
Speaker 4 (10:32):
No, no, no, no, I don't think it's like I mean,
if you've done enough things like I mean, I don't know.
M the other one, I was going to say, you
said strong feelings for Best Costume and Production Design or
whatever their category is. Gladiator Too, Yeah, costume design?
Speaker 1 (10:54):
Uh, where is it? Costume design? Gladiator Too?
Speaker 4 (10:57):
We both said that one, and I think the odds
of it were not very good. But like, I find
that really surprising.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
So Gladiator the first one one in costume design, Yes,
and I think at the time it was like one
of the only categories that was nominated. Yeah, I think so, well,
Russell Crowe also got Best Actor for it, and it
was Best Picture, didn't I think so something like that,
But like it was winning in most of the categories
it was nominated for. And so it's only nominated for
(11:23):
costume design this year, and.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
So because that's about the only thing that's good on it.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
If if if it does that with Yanti I don't
know if it's Janty or Yanty Eight's that person did
the costume design on the original Gladiator.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
They came back for this one.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
So I feel like the Academy is gonna look at
that more.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
As like a legacy at work, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
I feel like in my in my mind, that little
fact makes increases the odds in my opinion.
Speaker 4 (11:47):
The original Gladiator won Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Visual Effects,
Best Sound, and Best Costume Design. It was nominated as
well for Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor,
Best Original Score, Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, Film Editing. Ever,
so basically everything and at one in five of those
categories or one in five additional categories, you.
Speaker 6 (12:12):
Go for costume design. I actually had no Sartu.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
Nostrachi was very well done. I thought I could see
that more in like a hair and makeup kind of
kind of setting, But that would be the between the
two for me would be Nostratu or or.
Speaker 3 (12:32):
Gladiator too right.
Speaker 4 (12:33):
I think that the difference is like like with something
in Osparautu, like maybe it's a little bit different of
like a different vibe, whereas Gladiator, like where it's almost
more supernatural. Gladiators like sorry Nosatu is a little more
supernatural and so like more like like like transformation is
needed than in like Gladiator, where they're just portraying regular people.
And like when you look at like Gladiator, like a
(12:54):
lot of the costumes are like they really are immersive
to the time period they're trying to portray and like
the variety of them within that and everything.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
I don't know the way I look at it is
with Yanti Yate's coming back and like I said that,
the legacy aspect, Yeah, and also the fact that I think,
if we're just being truthful, I think there's more media
representing like and dramas and stuff with people in like
I don't know a Victorian era that like wear the
same clothes as as like in nos Fratu, And I
(13:25):
feel like there's just a little bit more substance, no
pun intended in Gladiator too, Like I just I just
feel like there's a little bit more of that, like
the elements of actual like costuming well like hands down
for here and makeup wise, it's got to go to
nos Frati, right, Like it's they did a fantastic job
(13:45):
with like little cuts, little rat bites. I remember you
and I saw that in theater Skill and Dawson and
I just remember being blown away by like the little
rat bites on people and stuff like that. And when
he stood up and there was that like dangling thing
when he stood up on that one scene.
Speaker 6 (14:00):
And even just like just how terrifyed and just like
messy people look in that movie, like I believe his
name is Thomas Hutter after like being in the castle
for three days, you know, he just he looks like
it he's been running around this castle from dogs and
rats for three.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
Days, right, And I think I think that's why I think,
like the costumes are great, but so much of that
makeup design is really what's making those costumes in that element.
I just feel like in Gladiator, I just feel like
the costumes are just like stand out a little bit
more in that aspect for sure. But I think it's
apples to oranges at a certain point because I think
they're both really well done, and I think if either
(14:38):
of them wins, I'm gonna be happy. Let's talk about
her presenters. We have our previous acting winners returning. Chillian
Murphy actor in a leading role for Oppenheimer. Robert Jenny
Junior is coming back for his actor in a supporting
role also for Oppenheimer. I'm a Stone actress in a
leading role poor Things. And we have Uh Divine Randolph
(15:02):
Divine Joy Joy Randolph actress.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
And supporting role for the Holdovers. They're coming back.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
Some of our returning producer returning winners that are going
to be presenting awards. We also have Ellie Fanning, Whoopie Goldberg,
Scarlett Johnson, Amy Pouler.
Speaker 3 (15:18):
I'm not going to go through the whole list.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
A lot of prominent people to Selena Gomez who was
obviously in Amelia Perez last year, Willem Dafoe nots rot
to right, Ben Stiller who had that TV show that
he wrote, right, I think Severance sever we go.
Speaker 6 (15:33):
That's getting a lot of buzz right now, Yes, a lot.
Speaker 3 (15:35):
Of buzz right now.
Speaker 2 (15:35):
Oprah Winfrey, Dave Bautista, Miley Cyrus, Miles Teller, Andrew Garfield,
Samuel Jackson just to.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
The Super Bowl.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
Zoe Saldana is also presenting, which is strange because.
Speaker 4 (15:45):
I was just gonna ask what happens if you present
and what if you presented your own award?
Speaker 1 (15:50):
You imagine and the winner is me?
Speaker 2 (15:54):
Yeah, Andrew Garfield. We had Harrison Ford on the list. Unfortunately,
Friday night, Harrison Ford was diagnosed with shingles kind of
like the chicken pox in a way, very itchy, rash,
kind of painful.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
Like you want to get it if you've had chicken pox.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
Yes, it's like, yeah, life threatening and uh sorright, not
life threatening. Sorry, he's gonna be fine. He has the
best medical carry that one can buy in the States,
and he's gonna be just fine. And I'm sure it
was nice to get out of it. He was like
another award show. I better kill over soon.
Speaker 6 (16:32):
Yea.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
These are almost as frequent as the Indiana Jones movies.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
Yeah, exactly. Anyways, we have a lot a larger list
of presenters, but those are some notable ones. And in
my opinion, and some of the recent projects from last year,
I think, uh, I don't know, I think uh, I
think they're gonna be good.
Speaker 3 (16:56):
Is anyone excited to see anyone?
Speaker 5 (16:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (16:59):
I was just gonna ask who were you most excited
to see? I'd say Willam dfill and personally.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
Andrew Garfield that I was actually really looking forward to.
Harrison Ford. Harrison Ford is one of my favorite actors
of all time. I absolutely love him. I love him
as Hans Solo, I love the Innian Jones movies. I
think he's just a phenomenal actor. Unfortunately that's not gonna
be happening this year, but there's always next year, right,
And let me present an award last year?
Speaker 3 (17:27):
Anyways, it was like, doesn't he do this every year?
Kind of.
Speaker 6 (17:32):
Wasn't didn't al Pacino do last year?
Speaker 8 (17:34):
Al Pacino did do last year because he did the
Best Picture.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
Yeah, because he was like he didn't say, yeah it
was Oppenheimer.
Speaker 1 (17:45):
Yeah, yeah, person, I just like Sam Jackson, Like I
just I really like Sam Jackson.
Speaker 8 (17:50):
Wait, do we know which we don't know which presenters
are doing, like which category.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
I'm not I'm not I didn't have that.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (17:59):
Presenting to Yes, I'm excited for that.
Speaker 2 (18:03):
Yeah. The awards so to end because they suck.
Speaker 4 (18:11):
Thank you Gary, thank you, thank you Gary. Producer, Gary
and I are the only ones here with any sense.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
So you know, man, I can't believe we've got the
ninety seventh Oscars before g T A six.
Speaker 4 (18:26):
That is I'm really not surpressed. Yeah, but to be fair,
they don't flop when they launch, so.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
You know that's true. Okay, I want to just read
off the nominees for Best Picture. Remind remind the crew
we have a Nora, we have the Brutalist.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
Hey, yeah, let's do that. Cool, so hey, let's.
Speaker 3 (18:50):
Bring up on scream awesome.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
So Best Picture a Nora, the Brutalist, A Complete Unknown, Enclave,
Dune Part two, Amelia Perez, I'm still here, Nicole the Substance,
and Wicked and.
Speaker 4 (19:02):
Just so you know, these are all in alphabetical order,
not a specific order based on anything.
Speaker 6 (19:09):
So you were saying you've only seen Dune Part two
out of this whole list, right, that is correct?
Speaker 1 (19:13):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (19:14):
So what about you two? I don't know if you
guys said, but which one.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
Was one, two, three, or five? Six? Out of is
that ten.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
I have?
Speaker 2 (19:28):
Because I believe Oh sorry you god.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
I have not seen any of these incomplete.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
Oh wow.
Speaker 4 (19:33):
I've seen the verse forty minutes of The Brutalist, and
then I've seen parts of Dune Part two, Amelia Perez, Wicked,
and and Nora. Other than that, I haven't seen any
of them.
Speaker 6 (19:45):
I'm only missing two. I haven't seen Amelia Perez and
I'm still here.
Speaker 5 (19:50):
You know.
Speaker 6 (19:50):
The last day I was kind of catching up on
some I watched Conclave A Complete Unknown. There was one
more what was the O? What was nickel? Boys?
Speaker 2 (19:59):
Thank you for that.
Speaker 6 (20:00):
Uh, it's very surprising that one didn't pick up a
nomination for cinematography. I know you guys haven't seen it,
but like, very surprising.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
Nominated at the Golden Globes or something like that. Wasn't
it nominated for cinematography there?
Speaker 6 (20:14):
But not at the Oscars?
Speaker 3 (20:15):
Yeah? Isn't that No?
Speaker 6 (20:16):
And that's it's a little wild because yeah, like I
left a review for it on Letterbox. But just like
every story, I mean, every shot kind of told its
own story and kind of like leading into the next one,
it was. It's kind of crazy that it didn't pick
up that nomination.
Speaker 2 (20:29):
And the Brutalist is up there for my kind of
like wanting to win cinematography for that same reason. But
I think Doom Part two was so strong and its
cinematography as well. I think it's gonna go to Doune
Part two and and like I said, next year or
when Dune three comes up, that Best Picture thing is
going to go crazy. See.
Speaker 6 (20:46):
My pick for cinematography was the Brutalist, I think because
I just think the way Rady Corbet, I think that's
how you pronounce his last name, and the cinematographer Lowl Crowley,
just the way they're able to capture buildings. I just
really enjoyed on they work together in his previous film,
Box Lux, and just I love the way they film buildings,
mean you saw that one together in years and just
(21:06):
every shot of architecture is great. I don't know, I
just love it.
Speaker 2 (21:09):
That's a film that three and a half hours long.
I felt like it could have been two hours. But
I think it's because a lot of the shots linger
for like five seconds after all the characters in our
frame and and I'm not a huge fan of that
that style, but I did really appreciate every single shot.
Speaker 3 (21:26):
I thought it looked great. I thought it was a beautiful.
Speaker 2 (21:28):
Shot movie, and I really enjoyed it. The first half
better than the second half.
Speaker 6 (21:33):
But I agree with you there.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
But yeah, it's a very strong contender, and like I said,
if it wins, good for it.
Speaker 3 (21:41):
Man, Like, right, I think this year there's a lot of.
Speaker 2 (21:48):
Uncertainty because I think I think, I don't know how
to word this properly, but like I feel like there's
a lot of close contenders and it could really it's
up in the air, right, like it could go to anyone.
And I'm not really gonna be too upset if it
goes to certain people, because it's like, hey, I could
see that winning. It wasn't like last year where pretty
much everyone knew Oppenheimer was Best Picture. Going into the Oscars.
(22:10):
You knew Robert Downey Junior was getting his oscar. You
knew Killian Murphy was getting his oscar. Like I think
like seven out of my like twelve predictions last year
came true and they were all the Oppenheimer ones, just
like going through it just it made sense, right.
Speaker 6 (22:23):
Well, I remember talking to friends, but even I had
that feeling just like Oppenheimer, just like was the movie
of that year, just like everything, the soundtrack, yeah, the
whole movie, the actors, you know, Killian Murphy, everything. I
think that was the movie of twenty twenty three one
hundred percent.
Speaker 2 (22:38):
And I think this year is a little bit different
where it's maybe not so solidified. Right we see like
the Substance nominated for Best Picture, a horror film nominated
for Best Picture. Is crazy over.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
Here, you know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (22:53):
We should also turn on the volume because I think
we're literally about to start.
Speaker 7 (22:55):
They're singing something.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
They're singing Wicked songs right before ster Conan O'Brien, who
is the host of the Oscars this year, comes.
Speaker 1 (23:02):
On to find gravity.
Speaker 3 (23:06):
Of course, did you see Wicked?
Speaker 2 (23:08):
Yeah? Interested I watched were the only people hear that,
what did you think?
Speaker 6 (23:12):
Because I actually really liked it, and I'm not big
on musicals, but like, I really enjoyed it, like lots.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
I saw the trailers for Wicked and I was like, oh.
Speaker 3 (23:20):
I'm not gonna like this.
Speaker 4 (23:21):
I don't I was not thrilled with the trailers, and
I mean, from what I've seen, it's not as bad
as I thought it was.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
But I don't know.
Speaker 6 (23:34):
Right now because like for my I don't know for
my prediction or what I wanted to win. Actually for
best Actress, I mean best supporting actress. I actually had
Ariana Grande. I thought she did very good in Wicked,
and I don't know solid movie. I liked how it started.
It kind of like started just right in the middle
of everything. You were kind of like right there that
That's what I thought was one of its strong points.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
And like I said, I didn't think I was gonna
like it. I was very pleasantly surprised. I'm not musical guy, right,
I went into Amelia pressing I wasn't gonna like it too,
and I liked it more than I thought I would,
But that means I also didn't think it was a
very a very strong movie otherwise, right, Like, I I
think there's this elements of like almost missus doubt fire
(24:14):
ass and all the critics I see it. For a
lot of the people that keep praising Amelia Press say.
Speaker 9 (24:20):
Like that it's it's uh what's the word, like it's
real and uh and.
Speaker 1 (24:31):
And you said very like thoughtful and what was you
had a word when we're talking about it earlier.
Speaker 2 (24:35):
Yes, it was his word, and I was gonna write
it down so I didn't forget, And of course I forgot. Uh.
It's in the synopsis of Amelia Press.
Speaker 1 (24:41):
I got it. I can pull it up, but there's this.
Speaker 2 (24:45):
One word and I kind of disagree because it's like
there's this missus doubt fire aspect where there's right, like,
the character of Amelia is lying to her family after innovative.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
Is that it no?
Speaker 2 (25:01):
Uh, I forget the exact word. Always it's like like
they make to mention that the characters being truthful to
who they really are, but it's hard to make that
case when they're lying to their whole family and kids,
and that kind of like missus doubt fire coming out.
Oh that is my mom.
Speaker 4 (25:22):
Yeah, your mom said that you're welcome for the cinnamon twists. Yeah,
they're They're amazing.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
They're so good.
Speaker 2 (25:28):
There you go, Mom, How long is this supposed to be?
So at about three hours?
Speaker 1 (25:34):
So no, no, no, I mean his monologue probably like ten minutes.
Speaker 4 (25:37):
Probably, like, god, ten minutes of this, Gary, I might
just go join you in the booth.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
I like going to o'bron.
Speaker 1 (25:49):
Holy, he's funny.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
It's just.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
Ten minutes of this, you know, interesting suit. I know
he's like, uh yeah, it's like.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
The Man in the Hat from uh.
Speaker 6 (26:01):
Yeah, yeah, one hundred percent.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
That's they're gonna announce that tomorrow. That live action.
Speaker 4 (26:09):
I would I would love that, you know. Curious George
is one of my favorite TV shows as a kid.
Speaker 6 (26:14):
Why could I kind of see it though?
Speaker 2 (26:18):
Him?
Speaker 10 (26:19):
Him?
Speaker 2 (26:24):
He'd be like an older brother to the monkey. Honestly,
Curious George Dennis Villa.
Speaker 6 (26:39):
Didn't He also say got Best Director. I didn't think
he did, but I thought.
Speaker 2 (26:46):
He should have the same way that uh what's your name?
Who directed Barbie should have been nominated. Yeah, that was
the biggest snub last year. Was Honestly, christ Christopher Nolan
deserved it, but she also really deserved it.
Speaker 6 (27:03):
No, that's a that's a fair take. No, but yeah,
it is kind of a travesty that theny didn't catch
a nomination for that. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
Again, go to my theory. I think Doom two is
going to win Best for June three. Yeah, there we go.
We got Robert Downey Jr. Coming up to present this
next set of awards.
Speaker 1 (27:22):
Is this the first award?
Speaker 7 (27:23):
Yeah? I think so.
Speaker 4 (27:24):
Okay, So supporting Actor, let's get the nominees out here,
Gary mm hmm.
Speaker 6 (27:34):
Supporting Yeah, right.
Speaker 7 (27:38):
I hope. I hope it's carried Karen Caulkin.
Speaker 6 (27:40):
Same, I really hope it's Kiaran Culkin. Are who's on
screen right now? I don't exactly know how to pronounce
his name. You're a you're a bussovsov real. Nice to
see him win too.
Speaker 1 (27:54):
Right, So Kieran Culkin for real pain? And who did
you say you wanted to win Actor in Sporting Role.
I don't really care. Wait, actually I think I bets
on this.
Speaker 6 (28:05):
Hold on, he does care.
Speaker 4 (28:07):
This gives me something to care about. Yeah, I want
Adrian Brodie. You're a sporting actor. Karen Culkin, Jaronkulkin, who
have money?
Speaker 2 (28:19):
A little fun fact I met the second assistant director
for Robert Danney Junior's Chaplin movie.
Speaker 1 (28:26):
Oh Kenny Chaplin? Is it Kenny Chap Yeah, I met him. Yeah,
Kieran Culkin, Yeah, Karon Culkin.
Speaker 6 (28:36):
That's okay, that's I think that's what we all thought.
Speaker 2 (28:40):
I think I think that one was quite obvious.
Speaker 6 (28:43):
He deserved it. A real pain was good.
Speaker 7 (28:46):
I need to watch it.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
Have you seen a real pain Ethan?
Speaker 1 (28:49):
I haven't seen any of I haven't seen.
Speaker 3 (28:52):
You know, I haven't seen.
Speaker 6 (28:54):
And everyone's going for Gladiator too, Gladiator too. I'm gonna
stick with not for Autia.
Speaker 4 (29:02):
I didn't put any money on because, uh, play now
doesn't have costume design for some reason.
Speaker 1 (29:08):
It wasn't on there. But Gary has the action on
that one.
Speaker 6 (29:12):
So see I had that slash Wicked because I thought
wickeds costume.
Speaker 7 (29:19):
Thanks ahead.
Speaker 1 (29:19):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 11 (29:21):
Gladiator two to win was twenty five to one.
Speaker 1 (29:24):
Yeah, Gladiator to to win? Did you put that in
the mic?
Speaker 5 (29:27):
I did?
Speaker 1 (29:28):
Okay.
Speaker 11 (29:28):
I'm also puting, like we have four dollars down on it.
So if this wins, we make one hundred bucks. Boys,
here we go.
Speaker 2 (29:35):
Here we go one hundred bucks if we If Gladiator
two wins, this is this is.
Speaker 1 (29:39):
What we're waiting for.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
It was the biggest long.
Speaker 1 (29:53):
I'm just muting, yeah, the advertisements because you know, yeah,
we think the ulcers are going to go for this year.
Speaker 2 (30:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (30:00):
That was also one of my times in Project What's
to be done by nine? There is there at nine?
Speaker 6 (30:05):
What do you guys think over a Priday?
Speaker 7 (30:07):
I'm gonna say ten o'clock just going.
Speaker 2 (30:12):
Out without playing the music. So my prediction right now
is going to be nine twenty three pm Central Standard Time.
Speaker 4 (30:20):
I'm gonna take the over on that. I'm gonna go
nine thirty seven pm CST.
Speaker 3 (30:30):
Mm hmm, okay, wait, let me write this.
Speaker 7 (30:33):
Did I overshoot my guests here?
Speaker 1 (30:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (30:37):
Okay, uh, time to complete?
Speaker 2 (30:42):
Okay, adam nine thirty seven pm CST, nine thirty seven.
Speaker 7 (30:47):
Chan it.
Speaker 2 (30:47):
I'll say like nine fifteen, I'll go nine eighteen mm
hmm okay. I said nine twenty three eh, nine twenty
three Dawson nine eighteen read. I said nine to fifteen.
Speaker 4 (31:03):
Oh you said something at ten o'clock. You said like
ten something? What'd you say? I said, nine fifteen? Well
you didn't, that's what I said.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
Anyway, you were here. You were here last one nine
to fifteen, The nine to fifteen, Dawson nine eighteen, heath
In nineteen twenty three, and Adam nine thirty seven.
Speaker 1 (31:20):
So when do we get to trivia?
Speaker 2 (31:22):
Okay, I mean we can do it around now.
Speaker 1 (31:26):
Let's do it in the next commercial break.
Speaker 7 (31:27):
Yeah, I'm already like halfway through out of like halfway
through it.
Speaker 2 (31:30):
Yeah, I like that speech.
Speaker 7 (31:36):
And we're back and we're back.
Speaker 1 (31:39):
Let's see is this another advertisement?
Speaker 2 (31:46):
No?
Speaker 8 (31:46):
I think this is when they just do all the
like best spectroum dominies like throughout.
Speaker 2 (31:52):
I think they played them throughout the night.
Speaker 7 (31:58):
Why wouldn't they just do alphabetical though? Or is it
alphabatic cloth?
Speaker 1 (32:03):
But not sure? A complete A complete.
Speaker 7 (32:06):
Unknown said the A or C. There's still a Nora.
Oh that's I guess it's still okay.
Speaker 4 (32:13):
I don't know, so yeah, complete unknown. Arion Phillips was
the costume designer on that one.
Speaker 10 (32:21):
Oh you can hear the voice of Nick Offerman. That's
Nick Offerman like doing then like the Nation. Yeah, yeah,
Ron Swanson.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
The order is wrong, So the order I had was wrong?
Speaker 4 (32:35):
Okay, Well let's throw up animated films in Gary.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
Thank you?
Speaker 2 (32:41):
Oh that's nice. Yeah, I think inside too much.
Speaker 8 (32:45):
I I hope The Wild Robot such a good movie.
I think the animation is so good. I think it's
inside I like Inside Out too, but like my personal.
Speaker 2 (32:55):
Seeing both these movies, but go to the Wild Robot. Yeah,
I think Inside Out two is gonna win just based
on it. It's box office prowess.
Speaker 6 (33:02):
I have flow. I would like to see flow winds.
Speaker 7 (33:05):
Flow does look good. It does look good watching me
Wallston Grama.
Speaker 8 (33:09):
Though, Oh okay, two for two right now?
Speaker 7 (33:15):
The man's winning.
Speaker 1 (33:17):
You gotta love it.
Speaker 4 (33:18):
Like when they're not like old hands at it, Like
it's like these guys are obviously like you know, I
don't know. It just seems like a nice thing when
they're like just kind of average fans that make it.
Speaker 1 (33:30):
In you know what I mean.
Speaker 7 (33:33):
I have no I have no opinion on that.
Speaker 6 (33:35):
I didn't see any of these. I couldn't honestly find
any of them. I did a little search earlier today
I was able to watch one of the live action
short films.
Speaker 7 (33:42):
Though, I'm gonna vote for Yuck because it's got a
cool title.
Speaker 6 (33:46):
I want to I'm gonna do Beautiful Men. I watched
the trailer.
Speaker 1 (33:49):
For it, so I'm gonna go with Magic Candies.
Speaker 6 (33:53):
Is everyone cool with all the winners so far?
Speaker 2 (33:55):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (33:56):
I don't. I don't have anything I.
Speaker 6 (33:58):
Want to I will say it would have been like
I like that Karen Culkin one supporting actor a lot,
but it would have been cool to see you're a
Burriso from a Nora win.
Speaker 7 (34:10):
You guys want to do some trivia, Yeah, let's do trivia.
Speaker 1 (34:13):
Now, let's do it.
Speaker 2 (34:14):
Let's start the first question.
Speaker 6 (34:16):
Okay, well, I guess I can watch from this.
Speaker 2 (34:19):
Oscars trivia question one, going in three to one? Where
did the first Oscars take place? Was it the Dolby Theater,
the Roosevelt Hotel, the Ambassador Hotel, or the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
Speaker 1 (34:37):
We're all what was it?
Speaker 2 (34:40):
Rose Roosevelt? I just clicked the Dolby Theater.
Speaker 6 (34:44):
Is that what you did?
Speaker 2 (34:45):
No?
Speaker 1 (34:45):
I clicked Ambassador Hotel.
Speaker 2 (34:48):
I don't know it at the Dolby Theater this year.
Speaker 1 (34:50):
I don't know where any of these people are.
Speaker 7 (34:52):
Yeah, Roosevelt President or a night at the museum or something.
Speaker 2 (34:57):
Do you have read coming in at first places?
Speaker 1 (34:59):
No, it's helm not read. Okay, get my name right.
Speaker 2 (35:03):
Whatever, including the substance. How many horror films have been
nominated for Best Picture? Is it four, seven, twelve or
twenty three?
Speaker 5 (35:15):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (35:15):
Like of all time?
Speaker 3 (35:16):
Yes, of all time, all the years being nominated.
Speaker 7 (35:19):
That's a tougher one. That's a one.
Speaker 1 (35:22):
All oscars are back.
Speaker 6 (35:24):
Oh yes, it was okay, nice, nice, nice, okay film?
Speaker 1 (35:28):
Oh I got that design?
Speaker 7 (35:29):
Do you have the names of all seven? I'm curious.
Speaker 2 (35:33):
Uh, Silence of the Lambs is one of them?
Speaker 7 (35:35):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I guess, I guess that's maybe.
Speaker 2 (35:40):
I think exorcist, yeah, exercises. Yeah, yeah, So if you're
cared to find me the worst.
Speaker 1 (35:52):
I thought I thought Ethan was hosting, not Gary.
Speaker 2 (35:56):
Someone told me lately, wow.
Speaker 1 (35:59):
Billion people, billion people. That's uh, that's not true.
Speaker 2 (36:06):
I can't be sure what the highest viewed television program
is a super Bowl with like one hundred and thirty million.
Speaker 4 (36:12):
That's at one time, though they're probably trying to skew
things by saying that in total over a billion people
are gonna watch it, like as in I check in
for five seconds and then leave.
Speaker 1 (36:22):
That counts as a watch. So really want to win
other this other than Gladiator too.
Speaker 7 (36:28):
I think Wicked, I think is.
Speaker 6 (36:29):
Another Wicked or not? Either or yeah or second?
Speaker 2 (36:33):
Yeah, I would be happy with any of those. Really, Yeah,
a complete unknown being the costume design is a joke.
Speaker 1 (36:38):
That's that's interesting.
Speaker 4 (36:39):
Sure, it could have been kind of cool if they
were all wearing a costume for one of the nominations,
something in that style like that would have been kind
of neat.
Speaker 7 (36:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
Most of these guys with suits and stuff, though, are costumes.
Let's be honest.
Speaker 1 (36:51):
Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 7 (36:53):
It's like, oh, who are you wearing today?
Speaker 2 (36:55):
A house? Jaden's Oh he's been cast as Dumbledore?
Speaker 7 (37:03):
Yeah, yes, in the new for the Nan Harry Potter Show.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
Is he actually yeah?
Speaker 1 (37:08):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (37:10):
Wow, Well not against it. I mean, I'm against the
show being a thing.
Speaker 6 (37:16):
But yeah, if anything, they should have waited another like
some Shrek.
Speaker 2 (37:21):
He plays Lord. Okay, wait so some of you may die? Yeah,
listen to his voice. I saw he was on the cast.
Maybe it's a Shrek on his and I was like,
you must play Lord for probably did some.
Speaker 3 (37:34):
Of you may die?
Speaker 2 (37:35):
So? Wait?
Speaker 4 (37:36):
What why is so conclave dressing like one hundred and
Nate Cardinals? Why is that in costume design? Just because
it's a logistical problem doesn't mean it's a you know.
Speaker 1 (37:46):
What I mean?
Speaker 2 (37:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (37:48):
Oh, come that hasn't a surprise me.
Speaker 1 (37:53):
It doesn't surprise me, but I just I don't know,
I know, I know.
Speaker 2 (37:56):
It's I feel like no fraud or glady glad you Yeah,
deserved that more than Wicked. It is tough. Probably walking
from your seat and going up the stairs you're like
completely out of it, like full of adrenaline, and you
have to give us a minute.
Speaker 3 (38:14):
Speech and if you go ever, you get food off
the stage.
Speaker 2 (38:17):
Pretty crazy.
Speaker 6 (38:17):
I mean, I honestly really like this one. I think
some of the costumes were very good in this movie,
kind of like I said earlier.
Speaker 7 (38:22):
But yeah, it's not that they weren't good.
Speaker 6 (38:25):
It's just like I don't.
Speaker 2 (38:26):
Know, I just like in comparison to Gladiator though, yeah,
or not Straw too.
Speaker 4 (38:31):
It's like to me, like I can see Wicked for
production design. M like some of the sets and stuff.
Speaker 1 (38:37):
In that they built every are amazing. Yeah, and like
it shows, but like.
Speaker 6 (38:43):
Costume design and definitely hairstyl and makeup over customs. Yeah,
that one is a little surprising.
Speaker 7 (38:49):
But went all three then.
Speaker 2 (38:52):
Question number three. Emelia Perez and Wicked are both nominated
for Best Picture. When was the last on two musicals?
We're in this category. This is the first time two
musicals have both been in the Best Picture Winter category
since since what year?
Speaker 1 (39:14):
I have no idea.
Speaker 2 (39:18):
It's guess happened.
Speaker 1 (39:21):
Sixty nine?
Speaker 5 (39:24):
I get it?
Speaker 3 (39:25):
There is?
Speaker 2 (39:26):
Yeah, there literally is. Only do you know the two?
Speaker 1 (39:29):
Do you know the two?
Speaker 2 (39:30):
Uh? Oh, I don't. I don't know the two. No, No,
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (39:35):
I want to know the answers though, one of the answers.
Speaker 2 (39:37):
Okay, final phone.
Speaker 7 (39:39):
It means nothing if I'm guessing.
Speaker 3 (39:42):
Last time to artists, how there work?
Speaker 1 (39:47):
Tell miracle?
Speaker 7 (39:48):
Is that five million dollars right now?
Speaker 1 (39:51):
Million?
Speaker 7 (39:51):
Almost six?
Speaker 1 (39:52):
Actually, let's keep it going.
Speaker 2 (39:56):
Okay, I'm just.
Speaker 3 (39:56):
Gonna Keep'm just gonna keep on.
Speaker 7 (39:57):
Yeah, look at that up after Now, I want to
know all these scoreboard we.
Speaker 2 (40:02):
Got read in first place of fourteen hundred points. You
were false. Amelia Press is the most nominated international film
in Oscar's history.
Speaker 7 (40:14):
Do I listen to Gary, that's a lot of nominations.
That's thirteen. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's true.
Speaker 3 (40:25):
Thirteen nominations.
Speaker 2 (40:26):
Who got thirteen again, which is more than even aerosite?
Speaker 6 (40:32):
Gary convinced me.
Speaker 2 (40:35):
Film. Now, obviously this is a Spanish film. I believe, No,
it's French. Technically, it's a French film, isn't I always.
Speaker 7 (40:41):
Thought it was a Spanish.
Speaker 1 (40:42):
It is a French film. It's a French director.
Speaker 2 (40:44):
Yeah, Spanish Spanish language, but French director Jacques cod Are interesting.
You were wrong. It is thirteen nominations, making it the
most nominated international film in Oscar's history. Cool question number five.
Which movie when the first ever Best Picture Oscar in
(41:04):
nineteen twenty nine? Was it Gone with the Wind, Wings, Casablanca,
or The Wizard of Oz?
Speaker 12 (41:13):
Mmm?
Speaker 8 (41:14):
Come on, what year would that movie come out?
Speaker 7 (41:19):
Go without one?
Speaker 2 (41:21):
It was Ward, it was it was Wings. No, the
Wizard of An even come out in twenty nine?
Speaker 7 (41:24):
When did it come out?
Speaker 2 (41:25):
He was like, what thirty two?
Speaker 1 (41:27):
Okay? Yeah, so yeah, original screenplay is supposedly next.
Speaker 7 (41:33):
Okay, real paint out there.
Speaker 6 (41:35):
I would like the substance to win. Yeah, I thought
that was the most original. Was the most unique film
coming out of this year? I think could also be
up there Anora for sure, but yeah.
Speaker 1 (41:48):
Is nominated for a lot. So September five is.
Speaker 6 (41:50):
A movie I'm going with the substance real pain.
Speaker 7 (41:55):
I'd like a real pain to win.
Speaker 6 (41:59):
Yeah, it gets year.
Speaker 7 (42:02):
Man's got a nice Beard who does.
Speaker 1 (42:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (42:04):
Nick Offerman is just such a chill dude man.
Speaker 1 (42:06):
Yeah, he seems like a nice guy to just hang
out with, you know, like, am.
Speaker 2 (42:11):
I respect him after he did that last he played
Frank in the Last of Us Man Phil.
Speaker 6 (42:15):
Sorry, Bill, Sorry, that was my first wrong prediction of
the night. I think that's good.
Speaker 2 (42:21):
I think the reasons when an original screenplay too, is
like the dialogue is so snappy throughout the whole thing,
you know, all the F bombs and stuff like that.
It's very it's very engaging and entertaining throughout the whole thing.
And I think as attention spans get lower and lower,
I think people are gonna start.
Speaker 3 (42:37):
Like more of that.
Speaker 6 (42:38):
And what a win for Sean Baker. He's he's he's
a very good writer. So I'm glad he picked up
this win.
Speaker 1 (42:44):
Yeah, so he wrote and directed it then, yep, he.
Speaker 6 (42:48):
Wrote directed a Noura the Florida Project. I don't know
if you've heard of that one.
Speaker 7 (42:51):
Yeah, you guys tell us what Anora is about.
Speaker 2 (42:55):
So Anura it's about a sex worker who falls in
love with the Russian guy who's using her.
Speaker 6 (43:08):
Yeah, it's kind of a take on like a fairy
tale love story. I guess there's kind of a Yeah,
this Russian kid whose dad is kind of part of the.
Speaker 2 (43:16):
He's kind of in love with her, but you know,
really he's not actually in love with her. It's more
of like a lustful thing. And and basically they get married,
but his dad is not okay with it at all
and and wants to break up the marriage.
Speaker 6 (43:31):
And then his parents come down from Russia to annul
the marriage.
Speaker 2 (43:34):
And Honora realizes that, like, oh shit, maybe we aren't
actually in love. Then it goes downhill and they have
to try and find him because he runs away. Yeah, ensues.
You kind of hope Nichol Boys is gonna win something,
So I think this would be a good thing for it.
Speaker 6 (43:51):
T Well, the big reason I thought I'd pick it
for Best Adaptive Screenplay is because it it's adapted from
a book that takes place in the first person perspective,
and it's filmed in that way too, So that was
a really yeah, that was a really neat thing to do.
Speaker 1 (44:04):
So that's that's such a hard thing to adapt from
a book, to get those internal monologues and stuff down.
Speaker 2 (44:09):
So but I actually could really also see a million
Press winning this one.
Speaker 4 (44:12):
Actually, yeah, like I said, I mean that one to
me is the standout just because of what it is
and how many oscars it's nominated for.
Speaker 6 (44:19):
Oh well, all right, conclt.
Speaker 1 (44:23):
Well, that one's a bit of a surprise for all
of this.
Speaker 6 (44:25):
I guess, yeah, that's a huge surprise. I uh, yeah,
I can't say I expected that.
Speaker 2 (44:31):
I can't say I expected that at all.
Speaker 6 (44:34):
And I I don't think I heard our forgot what
did they say? This was adapted from a book.
Speaker 7 (44:40):
It's probably a book.
Speaker 2 (44:41):
Probably a book.
Speaker 6 (44:41):
Yeah, that's safe to say. Yeah, I guess the best bet.
Yeah that's interesting.
Speaker 7 (44:48):
Yeah, I really didn't think it was actually gonna win.
Speaker 6 (44:50):
That much much, if anything, that might be the most
interesting so far. Granted we haven't gotten too far.
Speaker 2 (44:54):
But Star Wars read so to Star Wars.
Speaker 6 (44:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (44:58):
I saw the trailer for and Or season two.
Speaker 7 (45:00):
It looks good.
Speaker 2 (45:01):
I can't wait.
Speaker 1 (45:03):
Stay focused, ward.
Speaker 2 (45:05):
I just got goosebumps. Look at my hand, I got
gooseballer ship.
Speaker 1 (45:07):
Let's stay focused.
Speaker 3 (45:09):
For some reason, I think it is so exciting. It's
gonna be so good.
Speaker 1 (45:14):
You said let's do trivia. Now you're talking about Star Wars.
Speaker 2 (45:18):
I just wanted to say something I was passionate about
and excited.
Speaker 4 (45:20):
You know, I think, okay, well, you know I'm gonna
make I'm gonna say one thing on this topic and
then we'll keep moving. You know why it looks good
because Kathleen Kennedy is out. She isn't not yet, but
she's as close to as it gets.
Speaker 2 (45:32):
Kathleen Kennedy isn't the problem, Kathleen.
Speaker 1 (45:34):
Kathleen Kennedy is absolutely the problem.
Speaker 7 (45:38):
She's not what is wrong with you.
Speaker 2 (45:41):
She's a very solid producer. Maybe not as a president
of Lucasfilm or Disney or whatever. She's a very solid
producer though in her professional career. Look at the movie
she's produced. She's a very professional lady and good at
what she does. And I think the hate for her
is way overrated. Just get her as a president. Yes,
there has been some stinkers under her, but she also
(46:03):
did Rogue, one one of my favorite Star Wars movies period.
She did she did, all the other TV shows produced.
Speaker 1 (46:11):
One was good. That is the only thing I can
think of that she did that was good. All the
other producers that she all the other production that she
did was when Lucas George Lucas was still in charge
of Lucasfilms. As soon as George Lucas left and she
got put in charge of Lucasfilms, what did it do?
You're a freaking monster.
Speaker 2 (46:31):
It's not gonna get magic. It's not gonna get magically
better than Kathleen Kennedy resigns or anything. Yes, it will.
In her professional life, I think she's a very strong
and talented producer, and she's obviously done some good work
to be on all the movies she's been in with
massive box office success. However, are we gonna get she
she definitely, she definitely did a lot of not great
(46:57):
things under lucasfilm But here's how you're just hoping that
someone comes in and changes it. Oh who wants the
next question? Yeah? All right? Christ number six? What was
the highest grossing film of twenty twenty here we're not here?
(47:18):
Was it Inside Out too, dead Pool and Wolverine, Dune
Part two or Malwanat Oh crap?
Speaker 1 (47:26):
Which one was it?
Speaker 7 (47:29):
Okay, I'm seeing maybe it wasn't.
Speaker 3 (47:31):
It was it was Inside Out? Us person one point?
Speaker 1 (47:37):
Anybody gets that, right?
Speaker 6 (47:38):
I don't think so.
Speaker 2 (47:39):
One point six billion dollars I think Deadpool and Wolverine.
Speaker 1 (47:42):
Did you get that right?
Speaker 2 (47:43):
Or one billion or something like that. But yeah, Inside
Out too has become a massive that doesn't surprise me.
Actually yeah, it was a massive success.
Speaker 7 (47:51):
Kid's movie, family movie, all right.
Speaker 2 (47:53):
Next question, how much does the Oscar trophy?
Speaker 6 (47:58):
Way?
Speaker 2 (47:59):
Mm hmm. Now a lot of people pick them up
and say, wow, this is super heavy.
Speaker 1 (48:04):
They picked that h but there are also a bunch
of wimpy actors, so.
Speaker 2 (48:08):
Well, they're heavier than they look now point five pounds.
Speaker 1 (48:14):
Everybody.
Speaker 6 (48:15):
Yeah, everyone got them.
Speaker 13 (48:15):
I think it's like.
Speaker 2 (48:16):
It's still on THEE and then plated with twenty four
carrot gold like around you don't have forty one points,
you have four.
Speaker 6 (48:23):
Yeah, Bingle, good point, We're never catching up.
Speaker 2 (48:32):
I could definitely see no Sparazu taking this one. Yeah,
I'm pulling Onzi.
Speaker 6 (48:37):
Yeah, I might be going the substance.
Speaker 2 (48:39):
The rabbit bites though, Oh that's really good too. I
might be going.
Speaker 6 (48:43):
I think I'm going to substance like that's Demi Moore.
Speaker 7 (48:46):
That that's crazy.
Speaker 1 (48:48):
Wicked definitely doesn't have it. That's not anything fantastic.
Speaker 2 (48:51):
It's green, ye, rabbits.
Speaker 6 (48:55):
They got costume design, they don't need that.
Speaker 2 (48:57):
The rabbit were so good.
Speaker 12 (49:02):
Oh yeah, I mean yeah, it's it's it's good that again,
like I said, it's not like.
Speaker 2 (49:13):
One super better than the others. No, no, no, no,
no no no, they're all like, they're all really good.
It's just I remember actually, like I think, I like
out loud, said wow when I saw the rabbit bites,
are the the rat bites? In freaking Nosperazi. Man, you
guys want to do our question trivia. We don't have
(49:33):
to switch the TV. I'll just get your phones ready. Yeah,
get your phones ready as we go onto question number nine.
Are we ready?
Speaker 5 (49:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (49:44):
I don't reconnect.
Speaker 2 (49:45):
How much money did Michael Jackson spend about Michael on
the Gone with the Wind Gone with the Wind trophy?
Probably was it one point five million, five million, ten million,
or fifteen million? It was one point five million. It
only was one point five million. Wow, he bought the
(50:07):
Gun with the Wind trophy? Had that as a state
urchas said, from whoever's estate got it? Guess what? When
Michael Jackson died, they couldn't find the trophy. The trophy
from the best picture Gone with the Wind has still
never been found to this day. How many animated films
(50:29):
have won Best Picture. Is it three fourteen twenty or none?
Speaker 13 (50:36):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (50:40):
Oh, think long and hard about your favorite film one
Best Picture.
Speaker 1 (50:45):
I'm guessing no, it was none.
Speaker 3 (50:48):
Not as none animated films.
Speaker 1 (50:51):
No, no, yeah, I was the only one.
Speaker 3 (50:52):
I got it.
Speaker 2 (50:53):
I figured it would be maybe they do.
Speaker 3 (50:54):
Have the category best Animated.
Speaker 6 (50:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (50:56):
Now, but prior to that, no film was it ever? Ever?
Speaker 1 (51:00):
I figured like, at least like Toy Story or something
with No.
Speaker 4 (51:03):
We just did an episode on Toy Story. That was
our last last episode of Viewing Room. That's right, Yeah,
and so we know who didn't watch that.
Speaker 2 (51:10):
I Sbastian Sanda is the eighth actor nominated for portraying
a pleasant president.
Speaker 3 (51:17):
Who did he play?
Speaker 2 (51:19):
This is his Apprentice movie from last year. Now that
is a massive hint, the Apprentice.
Speaker 3 (51:25):
Who do you think of.
Speaker 2 (51:27):
Donald Trump? Question? Yes, Donald Trump? He did play Donald Trump.
He is the eighth person to portray president Now he
portrayed Trump. Wow. I I saw Sebastian's impression of me,
and I thought, wow, that's a great impression, one of
the best. You know, the face it was, it was
(51:50):
a little smooth, little but otherwise I thought it was
really good.
Speaker 3 (51:55):
One of the best, and.
Speaker 2 (51:58):
You know, not yet she really liked it. It was great, fantastic,
one of the best. All right, question twelve, what's the
most nominated film last year?
Speaker 1 (52:11):
Didn't was it?
Speaker 3 (52:12):
The Brutalist Wicked a million seal?
Speaker 1 (52:16):
Quick?
Speaker 6 (52:16):
That was?
Speaker 2 (52:18):
Who?
Speaker 3 (52:18):
Didn't get answer? I got kicked out what number thirteen?
Speaker 2 (52:24):
What year had two Oscars ceremonies? So there was one
year of the Oscars that they had to do two
two oh, like total oscars.
Speaker 3 (52:32):
I think one was in April, one was in November.
Speaker 1 (52:35):
Interesting, yeah, let's say.
Speaker 3 (52:39):
Yes, Oh, it was nineteen thirty.
Speaker 2 (52:42):
So the first Oscars was in nineteen twenty nine, and
then they had for some reason, like I think it
was like the start of nineteen twenty nine, and they
had two for the year of nineteen thirty when they
were still figuring it out where they had like the
start of the year from like the last years in
nineteen twenty nine, and then they were like, wait, well
what if in no, remember we just did the rest
of the movies this year and then there you go.
Speaker 3 (53:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (53:06):
I could have seen that go to Amelia Perez too,
because I feel like if they nominated it for so
many things that had to win in a category watch it.
Speaker 4 (53:15):
I mean that would be kind of funny if it
not nominated for thirteen and didn't win anything, figured that might.
Speaker 2 (53:21):
Be where it went. But like I said, I really
enjoyed the editing and Anora, so that was like my
favorite to win.
Speaker 7 (53:27):
It looks like supporting.
Speaker 1 (53:28):
Actress, supporting actress. Yes, okay, very best supporting actress. What
did you say, su, Yeah, it's gonna be always a
solid for sure.
Speaker 7 (53:40):
What would be if it's Ariana Grande? I I don't know.
Speaker 2 (53:44):
Laugh.
Speaker 3 (53:45):
I thought she did a great job.
Speaker 7 (53:46):
Actually she probably did.
Speaker 1 (53:47):
She did, especially we're not a trained actor.
Speaker 7 (53:49):
Yeah, that's why it'd be funny.
Speaker 2 (53:51):
It's always I mean, she shouldn't be she shouldn't win
it because she's not a supporting role. But she's going to.
It's my prediction.
Speaker 14 (53:59):
Yeah, there's no Zoey sol Dona is a supreme Well
she has the most screen time.
Speaker 2 (54:04):
Oh brother, she is Amelia Perez like ding ding ding ding.
Speaker 1 (54:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (54:12):
And I put my money on Zoie Seltana. Yeah two
cents game. I put down fifty cents and I will
win fifty two cents?
Speaker 2 (54:32):
Yeah, yes, did we pay out? We paid made money?
Speaker 7 (54:36):
Or are we winning.
Speaker 1 (54:38):
I'm two for two on my bets right now?
Speaker 2 (54:40):
Howk at that?
Speaker 7 (54:41):
And what was the other one?
Speaker 2 (54:42):
Here?
Speaker 13 (54:42):
And Culkin?
Speaker 2 (54:43):
You're in Culkin?
Speaker 7 (54:44):
Yes, let's go chackpt Yeah, literally two for two?
Speaker 2 (54:50):
I think, Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (54:51):
I I'm not making rough money. I've made like three
or four cents.
Speaker 2 (54:56):
But still, and if there was one like super standout
good quality is I It's always all down. I did
a good job.
Speaker 4 (55:02):
Okay, she was nominated for one Oscar and it's this one.
Oh okay, so she's won for one. That's pretty good actually,
but I'm surprised she didn't get something for anywhere other roles. Yeah,
like she's done a lot of stuff, Like she's been
around a long time.
Speaker 2 (55:19):
And it's weird not seeing her green or blue on
the right.
Speaker 1 (55:26):
I was a good speech, Yeah, I was just thinking
it was kind of over the top and dramatic.
Speaker 2 (55:32):
Yeah, I mean I like it. I was gonna say,
that's like the type of speech that would make me
go to war, you know, like freaking bare arm.
Speaker 1 (55:39):
No, it would make me just laugh, like Gary, what
do you think.
Speaker 3 (55:47):
You guys are so negative? I really enjoyed that speech.
Speaker 2 (55:50):
I thought it was a strong emotionally intelligent speech, especially
especially when you talk about like politics.
Speaker 1 (56:05):
Exactly how Gary said, how did there was? There's a
Ricky Gervaise clip. Where's he's and he's like, come up
on stage to accept your little award and you know whatever,
Like how does it go?
Speaker 2 (56:20):
So that he says, don't make your political statements.
Speaker 1 (56:25):
It's so funny.
Speaker 4 (56:26):
No, but honestly he's one of the funniest presenters because
he just doesn't. He just goes after anybody and everybody.
Speaker 2 (56:32):
It is interesting to be the first Dominican person, Dominican
American person to win an award. I think, like that's
pretty cool, right, Like that's it's pretty like you're representing
a group of people.
Speaker 3 (56:44):
That's pretty freaking cool.
Speaker 2 (56:45):
And and then yeah, I think it is important to
be like, yeah, by the way, like my parents were
like immigrants and immigrant family, and I'm proud to be
an immigrant, right, And I think now in the States
that's probably more ortant to hear like than ever, right,
And so I don't know, I think that's pretty cool.
Number fourteen. Why were nominations for oscars delayed this year?
(57:09):
Were they due to Donald Trump? Wildfires? Funding to the
Academy or a looming tariff threat.
Speaker 3 (57:21):
Yeah, it was the wildfires. The wildfire I thought I
just assumed he would get me.
Speaker 2 (57:27):
Wildfires pushed back some of the awards and stuff like
that and delayed voting because a lot of people, especially
in the Academy's homes were in neighborhoods in Los Angeles
that were currently being burned.
Speaker 3 (57:39):
And now rebuilt. But yeah, wildfires were the main reason
for delays. Is here.
Speaker 2 (57:45):
Uh it was a season.
Speaker 3 (57:49):
Ok, yeah, who's aby?
Speaker 6 (57:53):
Ask me? Well? I was Adrian BRONI then I got
kicked out and for time purposes, we are abe.
Speaker 2 (57:58):
Oh cool, all right, next question, Like I said, the
main trivia is on there, so that's good.
Speaker 5 (58:04):
All right.
Speaker 2 (58:05):
How many categories have been canceled throughout the years? Is
it five, ten, fifteen, or twenty? Now I can tell
you some of the categories stunt's canceled. Right, They had
Best Assistant Director.
Speaker 3 (58:21):
That was a category that used to be a thing.
Speaker 6 (58:24):
Right, And.
Speaker 4 (58:26):
I'm curious why it's probably canceled. Yeah, I mean that
seems like a perfect category to me. Fifteen different anybody
get it?
Speaker 1 (58:34):
I could go no, oh, Ben Stiller, that's cool.
Speaker 4 (58:38):
Ben Stiller made one of my favorite. He started in
one of my most favorite movies of all time, and
Ethan knows where this is going and he's gonna laugh. Okay, Gary,
production Design, you're on it.
Speaker 6 (58:51):
What do we think of this one?
Speaker 2 (58:52):
Clay?
Speaker 7 (58:53):
Probably wicked.
Speaker 1 (58:55):
I'm gonna say probably wicked.
Speaker 7 (58:59):
Yeah, probably would it.
Speaker 6 (59:03):
I was gonna say a little bit of a hot take.
I'm gonna go Dune part two.
Speaker 1 (59:05):
Are not Yeah, I could see Dune.
Speaker 5 (59:10):
I'm I'm going Dune.
Speaker 6 (59:11):
Yeah, Dune, but it would be nice to see Nostrato.
But I'm mainly going Dune.
Speaker 1 (59:15):
Really not surprised.
Speaker 2 (59:18):
So you guys were not surprised, you're saying again, it's
not like I'm angry. No, No, they're really good. I
saw Dune, I saw Nosratu, I saw Wicked, saw the Parlist, right,
So it's like all of those are very solid.
Speaker 1 (59:33):
Yeah to me in that in that category, like there's
there's not really a wrong choice.
Speaker 2 (59:37):
I'm not sitting here being like, why was that nominated? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (59:40):
I see that.
Speaker 1 (59:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (59:41):
And there's been a few of those categories this year,
like Best Costume Design, Production Design.
Speaker 2 (59:48):
I feel like it's it's the same exact thing with
Best Picture this year.
Speaker 1 (59:52):
I was just gonna say that, Okay, is it just
me or like, does Ariana Grande look unhealthy? I feel
like like every time you see her, I feel like
she just looks.
Speaker 2 (01:00:02):
And I was just gonna say I.
Speaker 6 (01:00:03):
Think as time goes on she gets unhealthier.
Speaker 1 (01:00:05):
Healthier, and I don't mean like unhealthy, is like like
she looks like she's sick.
Speaker 6 (01:00:10):
Yeah, so pale and.
Speaker 1 (01:00:12):
Pale, and like her face is just so like yeah
what what Mick Jagger? No shot?
Speaker 13 (01:00:23):
Okay?
Speaker 7 (01:00:24):
So yeah, Amelia Press is nominated for two songs.
Speaker 1 (01:00:26):
Yeah, oh wow, I didn't know you do that. I
just want to see Elton John win it just because
it's Elton John right, like he is the king I want.
Speaker 2 (01:00:34):
I want Elton John.
Speaker 4 (01:00:36):
And also the journey from six Triple eight. I have
no idea why that's on there. Six Triple eight is
a terrible show.
Speaker 2 (01:00:44):
John Elton John, Elton John.
Speaker 1 (01:00:50):
Elton John. I mean his odds were the longest, Like
his odds were so long.
Speaker 6 (01:00:54):
I'll go with Elton John too. Let's listen to the
crew here, but as it would be nice, will go
like a bird.
Speaker 2 (01:01:03):
See really cool effects where you see how it's like
the room with spotlights around. Yeah, but they do that
for almost all the musical numbers, which is really sad
because I thought it was a cool effect. But they
shouldn't have done that throughout the whole Little used Yeah,
like super cool the first time they did it, but
after three or four times it was kind of like, oh, well,
what if we tried something new? Guys?
Speaker 3 (01:01:23):
Right, you know what I mean?
Speaker 5 (01:01:24):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (01:01:25):
For sure, I didn't know that, you know, really?
Speaker 3 (01:01:27):
Yeah? Yeah, first person born in our century.
Speaker 6 (01:01:30):
I guess Timothy Challamey hasn't won anything coming out? Yeah,
I guess no, he hasn't.
Speaker 2 (01:01:35):
Billie Eilish for her last year.
Speaker 5 (01:01:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:01:38):
I didn't put that on trivia, but I thought it
was an interesting enough fact to tell you guys.
Speaker 6 (01:01:42):
And speaking to challow May, at twenty nine, he's the
youngest two times Best Actor nominee since James Dean in
nineteen fifty seven.
Speaker 1 (01:01:50):
If he's twenty nine, then he wouldn't be born in
the twenty Oh.
Speaker 6 (01:01:53):
I guess he wouldn't, wouldn't it be he'd be nineties?
Speaker 2 (01:01:56):
Wow?
Speaker 3 (01:01:57):
Yeah, he doesn't look like it is the baby week faced.
Speaker 7 (01:02:00):
Yeah, it's true.
Speaker 1 (01:02:01):
Little see actually twenty nine, it's kind of crazy. Hold on,
I don't know why.
Speaker 2 (01:02:05):
I feel like, fact check, that's preterice honestly looking at
that young at that age.
Speaker 1 (01:02:09):
Just twenty nine. Yeah, Like it's just Elton John just
has such a sound that is just timeless.
Speaker 3 (01:02:18):
God, I love Elton John too.
Speaker 1 (01:02:20):
Man, Oh come on, oh well it really approves.
Speaker 7 (01:02:24):
Yeah, at least the one something. H Dang, it's not
going home with zero wins and thirteen.
Speaker 2 (01:02:33):
Wait what did it win before he saw dona?
Speaker 7 (01:02:35):
Oh yeah, dah for some reason to encount that.
Speaker 2 (01:02:42):
Honestly, that what. It's good that it was that song,
because that was probably one of the most solid songs
in the movie. I would say that was probably the
best one in my opinion. Otherwise, Yeah, it did feel
kind of weak, like the the me Camino song. I
felt like it was pretty weak. The whole subplot with
Miley sy I didn't really like at all.
Speaker 7 (01:03:02):
Selena Gomez.
Speaker 2 (01:03:03):
Sorry, Selena Gomez, Yes, sorry, get your Disney queens right.
Speaker 1 (01:03:08):
Nope, you need your autotune? Wait, oh my god, your
auto tune?
Speaker 2 (01:03:14):
Guys?
Speaker 1 (01:03:18):
Whoa tune?
Speaker 2 (01:03:20):
Holy, she's drunk.
Speaker 7 (01:03:22):
Probably everyone's just straight face just force clap.
Speaker 2 (01:03:30):
Dog.
Speaker 3 (01:03:31):
You just left them.
Speaker 1 (01:03:34):
I don't blame them.
Speaker 2 (01:03:36):
Question number sixteen. How many films are tied for most?
Oscar wins bonus? What films are they? Extra? I can't
give you any bonuses. Tied for most is a one film?
Like one films are tied, two films are tied, three
films are tied, or four films are tied. To say
(01:03:58):
that it is three. Okay, so there's three films are tied.
Number seventeen or falls Trek two thousand and one won
the first ever Animated Feature award. Screw it, let's go,
let's just say, yeah, that is true, right, was the
first ever animated film to win the Animated Feature was
(01:04:21):
that category?
Speaker 1 (01:04:23):
I will say I like that they do documentaries because
documentaries takes a lot of skill to do well.
Speaker 6 (01:04:28):
Yeah, and yeah, I'm just trying to be so far
Ben Still Yeah.
Speaker 13 (01:04:35):
For sure, the best.
Speaker 3 (01:04:39):
There has been a very awesome.
Speaker 6 (01:04:42):
It wasn't a presenter, but I did like the bit
with Adam Sandler and the bit with Jeff Bezos coming in.
Speaker 4 (01:04:49):
Still the still the Ben still are like that. Like
I said, now, that makes me want to have a
category for best presenter. He said, at the end, they
vote for who is the best presenter, because then it
encourages creative skill.
Speaker 2 (01:05:00):
It's like that.
Speaker 1 (01:05:00):
Yeah, like a each presenter gets to kind of come
up with their own skit. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:05:06):
So if there was a category that could exist, is
that what you would pick?
Speaker 1 (01:05:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:05:10):
I know that would be mine is actually best presenter
at the Oscars, because that encourages more creativity, which gets
you theoretically more entertaining show. And you can just like,
you know, for you say, okay, you have three minutes
to do a preamble skit and then everybody votes.
Speaker 7 (01:05:30):
Yeah, that could be nice, you know.
Speaker 6 (01:05:32):
I was thinking of it last night. I think if
I could pick a category that could exist, I'd say
best ensembable cast. I'd say, like best cast, and.
Speaker 7 (01:05:41):
I think I've heard I think I've heard of this one.
Speaker 4 (01:05:43):
Like I like documentaries, I really like them, but I
just haven't watched most of the documentaries and it's stereotypical.
Speaker 1 (01:05:48):
But most of the documentaries that I watch, a World
War two documentary, I think this is.
Speaker 7 (01:05:52):
I think that's from the Ukraine.
Speaker 1 (01:05:54):
Good for them, Good for so much have you've.
Speaker 13 (01:05:56):
Done so far?
Speaker 4 (01:05:57):
Like I said, I just like to see documentary filmmakers
get recognized.
Speaker 1 (01:06:00):
Yeah, you know, because they could yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:06:04):
Well kind of like what you said, it's it's kind
of hard to make a great documentary.
Speaker 4 (01:06:07):
Yeah, like and I mean, like, you know, there's the
research aspect and then then putting it all together and
making it entertaining instead of just boring.
Speaker 6 (01:06:16):
And I feel like that's a huge thing about it,
making it entertaining.
Speaker 7 (01:06:18):
It'll just take a long time just in general, to
like from start to finish.
Speaker 1 (01:06:23):
I'm curious what this one's about. I want to look
it up.
Speaker 6 (01:06:25):
Yeah, you should, honestly, that kind of curious. The name
basell Adra has been resisting the forced displacement of his
people by Israel's military in Massafariata, a region in the
West Bank, since he was a child. He records his
gradual destruction of his homeland, where Israel soldiers are tearing
down homes and evicting their inhabitants in order to create
(01:06:46):
a military fire and zone. He befriends Juvil, a Jewish
israel journalist who helps them in his struggle. They form
an unexpected bond, but their friendship is challenged by the
huge gap between their conditions. Desil faces constant oppression and violence. Well,
you've all enjoys freedom and Secretcy So that was no
other land. That was the documentary feature that just won.
Speaker 1 (01:07:09):
Cool sounds interesting for sure, so Ethan, you.
Speaker 6 (01:07:12):
Kind of missed it. But once you went to the bathroom,
I asked which category should exist that doesn't. If you
could make a category for the Oscars, what would it be?
Adam said, best Presenter? What would be the He said
he would choose best presenter at the end of the night.
I said something like best ensemble, like best cast. I
think that would be a fun one to see. And
(01:07:33):
if I could pick what movie would get best cast?
You know, Dune gets a lot of hype, but I
think I picked Saturday Night. We got Dylan O'Brien. We
got Philip Seymour. Hoffman's son, Cooper Hoffman, I.
Speaker 2 (01:07:46):
Believe is his name. So well, what do you guys
think would you pick?
Speaker 6 (01:07:51):
I know, best stunts?
Speaker 7 (01:07:52):
But you said I would have brought back I just
bring back stunts.
Speaker 1 (01:07:55):
Yeah, yeah, okay, I don't know why you get.
Speaker 2 (01:07:58):
Rid of it exactly. That's that is that's very interesting
that they did that.
Speaker 8 (01:08:02):
Yeah, because they've also combined, like the sound editing one,
because it used to be two different It used to
be two different ones.
Speaker 7 (01:08:08):
I'm pretty sure. Yeah, like sound editing and then sound design.
Speaker 1 (01:08:13):
I think this year, if you got music original song
and music original score, and then you've got sound, that's it.
Speaker 2 (01:08:23):
Just one category.
Speaker 7 (01:08:24):
Sound. Yeah, that's the thing.
Speaker 8 (01:08:25):
So it used to be like or no sound mixing.
It was like sound mixing and sound maybe just maybe
it was just sound editing or whatever.
Speaker 1 (01:08:33):
Yeah, sound design or something.
Speaker 3 (01:08:35):
I would like color.
Speaker 7 (01:08:41):
That's probably just lumped with like cinematography or something, is
my guest.
Speaker 2 (01:08:44):
Yeah, it is a big element of it too, but
I would like to see that as like kind of
like a separate editing thing.
Speaker 3 (01:08:51):
Stunts is a good one.
Speaker 2 (01:08:53):
I do like the assistant director category, but I understand
why it's.
Speaker 1 (01:08:58):
Not there, right, I feel like that's not yeah out
in the open, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:09:01):
It's more of a private internal thing that's not shown
on camera.
Speaker 6 (01:09:05):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:09:05):
No, you can argue that, like oh yeah, like no,
like like they look at more like makeup being behind
the scenes compared to like actors. But like you see
all the makeup on screen, right, you don't see assistant
directing on the screen, right, Yeah, you could say you
don't see directing on the screen. Other but I think
that's kind of a more important kind of thing that
you know, you know what I mean. So, yeah, I
(01:09:26):
definitely see why they don't have that. As someone who
really wants to be an assistant director, I thought that
would be cool, like winning an Oscar for like something.
Speaker 6 (01:09:33):
That I enjoyed doing.
Speaker 1 (01:09:34):
So then my question, though, would be what would you
get rid of to make room for the one you want? Also,
just be careful of this cable, but it's already a
three hour show that goes.
Speaker 4 (01:09:43):
Late in every year exactly, So so what would which
categories would you get rid of to m hm to
make room for the one you want?
Speaker 8 (01:09:53):
I mean, if anything, could probably just lump like costume
design and then my hair and makeup in one.
Speaker 7 (01:09:59):
They are no, they said no, it was separate.
Speaker 1 (01:10:01):
We're right, they are.
Speaker 7 (01:10:02):
Yeah, it's separate, That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (01:10:04):
Like, yeah, I mean I would also, it's sure they're different,
but it's like I would also combine writing writing into
just one just the best written. Yeah, that one too,
like original screenplay and adapted Like no.
Speaker 2 (01:10:23):
I think it's I kind of understand that if it's
adapted from a book, I don't think it's necessarily.
Speaker 1 (01:10:29):
That's true, that's very true. Yeah, yeah, I.
Speaker 2 (01:10:33):
Would get rid of more of those like short films, honestly,
and I would have that in the pre show.
Speaker 3 (01:10:39):
I would put that.
Speaker 1 (01:10:40):
Kind of featured shorts.
Speaker 2 (01:10:42):
Yeah, like that's fair, or play those throughout as well, yeh,
to save on time, because I just I feel like, well.
Speaker 4 (01:10:51):
Like, yeah, because you've got documentary short, you've got animated short.
Speaker 1 (01:10:55):
I mean, you've got live action short.
Speaker 2 (01:10:56):
The criteria is arguably different when you're making a ten
minute versus an hour and a half.
Speaker 4 (01:11:02):
Sound baby, sound all right? Complete Dune, Amelia, Wicked in
the Wild Robot.
Speaker 6 (01:11:08):
I think Dune Part two has this, like I feel
like probably doing like if not, that'd be wild. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:11:16):
Michles Teller looks old.
Speaker 1 (01:11:19):
He's got some great as you can say, that's great,
got some great so does the.
Speaker 6 (01:11:23):
Bo I was just gonna say, they're both looking a
little age.
Speaker 2 (01:11:29):
What's Miley Cyrus?
Speaker 1 (01:11:31):
Yeah that's Cyrus. Yeah, God, she literally does change her
look every single time.
Speaker 7 (01:11:38):
I literally why should be a complete un notice because
they have music.
Speaker 6 (01:11:46):
Yeah, that was a very average movie. Watched it last night.
Speaker 2 (01:11:50):
I'm kind of shock that it was nominated for Best Picture.
Speaker 6 (01:11:54):
One hundred percent like Timothy was the best part of it,
so I get that he got another Nation for Best Actor,
but yeah, best picture is little.
Speaker 1 (01:12:04):
What did you think of the sounding immediately press?
Speaker 2 (01:12:06):
I think it's gonna go to June two for the
sound in the press. I don't know, Like, like I said,
I thought the one music part was pretty weak, like.
Speaker 7 (01:12:14):
Half of the half of these are musicals.
Speaker 1 (01:12:17):
So like, yeah, that's hard though, because that's more of
the music category than it's gonna go.
Speaker 2 (01:12:24):
To Wicked or Due. In my opinion, I think Dune
Part two I love.
Speaker 1 (01:12:29):
I'd love to see just because I want to see something.
Speaker 2 (01:12:31):
When the sound went through the like and in the theater,
like you can feel your chair vibrating when the sandworms
were under the ground.
Speaker 6 (01:12:40):
That's in the thumper, Like come on, yeah, yeah, I'm happy.
Speaker 2 (01:12:46):
Let's go now.
Speaker 6 (01:12:48):
I think that's thirteen.
Speaker 2 (01:12:50):
Richard King fifth win, ninth nomination. Wow, fucking man five
five wins.
Speaker 4 (01:12:57):
That's pretty good, all right, Alien, Romulus, better Man, Dune,
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes are Wicked. Okay,
I'm gonna say it's probably Planet of the Apes or
the Apes.
Speaker 6 (01:13:09):
I have Planet of the Apes down on my sheet,
like Apes, I really hope it is, like think like like,
it's just so impressive.
Speaker 7 (01:13:16):
It's so impressive and plus better.
Speaker 2 (01:13:19):
Man, like the I didn't it's one monkey.
Speaker 6 (01:13:21):
It's one monkey compared to how many come on, get
better man out of here. Kingdom of the Planet of
the Apes better due.
Speaker 7 (01:13:28):
I mean it also looks good.
Speaker 3 (01:13:30):
I actually I don't know.
Speaker 6 (01:13:32):
That's just I'm saying it deserves it, Like I really,
I think this would be so nice if it won.
Speaker 2 (01:13:37):
That would be so well deserved from the director web
the thing.
Speaker 1 (01:13:42):
Is right there. They just showed that. That's not like
I guess it's visual. It's gonna say, c g I
because that was.
Speaker 2 (01:13:48):
Planet of the Apes.
Speaker 3 (01:13:49):
Please, what's going to do Planet of the Apes?
Speaker 6 (01:13:52):
It deserves it so much?
Speaker 7 (01:13:54):
Okay, that's fine.
Speaker 1 (01:13:59):
A little upset, Yeah, I can't lie.
Speaker 2 (01:14:01):
That's the only one. I'm kind of disappointed.
Speaker 3 (01:14:03):
I would have put money on.
Speaker 2 (01:14:04):
Himune Honestly, that scene in the desert when they're doing
the thumber thing, and like that's good. I'm a little disappointed.
Like monkeys Man, it's good, but it was better visual
effects than Wicked. It's good.
Speaker 6 (01:14:19):
But yeah, no, that that is a good win. But wow,
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, hundreds of monkeys,
all all the Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:14:28):
Honestly to me, like either one, either one, right, I
don't know what I'm happy, but because they're both, they're
both really good.
Speaker 4 (01:14:35):
Like Yanet of the Apes is like a technical achievement,
I would say. But then Dune, it's world immersive.
Speaker 2 (01:14:41):
Is it a racus?
Speaker 3 (01:14:44):
The black and white planet?
Speaker 1 (01:14:46):
What's the desert?
Speaker 6 (01:14:48):
The desert the black and white planet is where the
Hearkenings are. But I don't know the planet planet Harkening.
I don't call it planet.
Speaker 2 (01:14:57):
It is harkening it I think I remembered, Yeah, it
is parking it.
Speaker 7 (01:15:00):
That's the name of the house, though I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:15:03):
You'll figure it out quick and maybe that's like it's
probably like planet Parking or Parken in I think.
Speaker 1 (01:15:10):
It's are from the planet yeaed Prime Prime.
Speaker 2 (01:15:19):
They call it that in the movie though, I think.
Speaker 1 (01:15:24):
That's that's the books. Here's the thing, the movies don't
translate well. Like if you if you read the books
and then watch the movies, it's not like Dune books.
Speaker 4 (01:15:35):
Are a political commentary. They're a political story and they've
turned it into more of an action movie, and so
it doesn't translate quite the same.
Speaker 2 (01:15:45):
Well, with how much reading there is in the books
to the amount of movies you would actually need to make.
Speaker 1 (01:15:49):
Well, that's the thing is, I just would rather not
see it done at all, you.
Speaker 2 (01:15:52):
Know, But I I I kind of saw do taking
that one, you know, the black like I said, the
Black and White Planet, whatever, prime.
Speaker 6 (01:16:06):
I will say, the fireworks on the Black and White
Planet and that one sequence were like phenomenal, Like I
remember that being a takeaway, like we're remembering that, just
the fireworks.
Speaker 2 (01:16:13):
When he rose up and like stretched his skin and
stuff like that and got really tall, you know what
I mean, the one dude.
Speaker 6 (01:16:19):
Yeah, yeah, I can't yeah whatever, yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:16:21):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's kind of tough, right, but I
know I like that bird.
Speaker 6 (01:16:31):
No, it does make sense. I just would have It
would have been really nice to see Plan.
Speaker 1 (01:16:34):
Of the esially since it was only nominated for one.
Speaker 2 (01:16:37):
Yeah, it's nice scene the fifth movie or whatever it
is in a trilogy that people kind of look at
like still yeah, fourth, fourth, fourth, okay, whatever. It's nice
to see it get nominated for an Oscar when a
lot of people don't go and see those movies because
they're like, I don't want to watch the first four,
or they like, you know what I mean, or they
feel like this is just garbage that a studio keeps
(01:16:57):
pumping out to keep making money, you know what I mean? Yeah, right, Like, yeah,
you lose quality over time, but it's super nice to
see something like that have It doesn't it doesn't lose
a right and and so it is nice to see that, right,
It's like the same thing, like you don't see a
lot of the Avengers movies winning any oscars.
Speaker 1 (01:17:15):
True, you know, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:17:16):
So it is nice to see high action movie designed
like that, who was fourth in the series come out
and just be nominated, right, be recognized in some capacity.
That's cool.
Speaker 5 (01:17:26):
That was too.
Speaker 6 (01:17:28):
Yeah. Sure, that was actually like my third favorite movie
of the year. I really enjoyed it. It was a
good movie and kind of going off.
Speaker 7 (01:17:33):
I forgot it was actually nominated until that just showed up.
Speaker 6 (01:17:36):
Yeah. Is there any other movies from this year that
kind of were snubbed a bit or didn't get any
nominations that you guys would have liked to.
Speaker 1 (01:17:42):
See White Risk No.
Speaker 2 (01:17:47):
Next year? Next?
Speaker 6 (01:17:51):
My favorite movie of the year, Love Lies Bleeding.
Speaker 2 (01:17:54):
I would have liked to see that one.
Speaker 1 (01:17:56):
I would have seen Deadpool Wolverine honestly as a as
a comedy.
Speaker 2 (01:18:03):
Okay, I enjoyed dead Poom and I know Dawson wasn't
a huge fan of it.
Speaker 1 (01:18:06):
I would just love to see a comedy category.
Speaker 3 (01:18:09):
I thought.
Speaker 1 (01:18:09):
I thought it was hilarious.
Speaker 2 (01:18:10):
Yeah, I thought it was really funny. Do you know
what movie I'm really excited for this year? I'm really
excited to see Nova Kaine. We're seeing that two?
Speaker 7 (01:18:20):
We Yeah, looks.
Speaker 2 (01:18:21):
I'm actually really kind of pumped to see it. Like
Jack Quaid, I can't feel pain Novacaine, like I love it.
Speaker 3 (01:18:27):
It's awesome. Yeah, it's awesome. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:18:30):
Should we do more trivios to do another one?
Speaker 3 (01:18:32):
Okay, we're moving into.
Speaker 2 (01:18:33):
Question number eighteen. Are we already with our phones? Might
need a sick just to reload in. Edith Head is
the most commented woman Oscars history, with thirty five nominations.
What does she do? Is it set design, costume design, editing,
or sound design? I fel like it could be set.
Speaker 1 (01:18:51):
That was my good.
Speaker 3 (01:18:54):
Listen costume design. Now listen, wait some of her movies?
Speaker 2 (01:18:57):
Did you say, oh? I said, set designing my way
the sting the Oscar.
Speaker 7 (01:19:04):
We're back already.
Speaker 1 (01:19:05):
We wasted a lot of time.
Speaker 2 (01:19:07):
Yeah, that's a little factor. Yeah, they didn't have an
intimacy coordinator on set because Mickey Madison just didn't feel
like it was necessary. So pretty weird, really interesting, And
to show the actors what type of sex positions to use,
Sean Baker and his wife acted out the sex positions
(01:19:29):
in front of the actors. Isn't that crazy? Yeah that's wild,
like clothed like cloth, Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:19:37):
But still like, yeah, pretty weird, that's weird.
Speaker 2 (01:19:41):
I feel like they could feature the shorts throughout the
week the Academy website and stuff like that and give
like an online voting OSCAR or something, because I get
the criteria is so different in my opinion, and and
this is coming from someone who's only ever made short films,
(01:20:01):
I understand that to keep that quality for ten minutes
is a lot easier than an hour and a half.
Speaker 6 (01:20:05):
Yeah, oh, this is live accera short film I had.
I'm not a robot. Why didn't I bet on this man?
Speaker 2 (01:20:17):
What is that now?
Speaker 6 (01:20:18):
One, two, three, four, five, six seven eighths? If I
bet five dollars on each of those, what would I
be at right now.
Speaker 1 (01:20:27):
Probably not as much as you think.
Speaker 2 (01:20:29):
Probably not.
Speaker 1 (01:20:29):
Most of those ones have pretty high odds fair enough,
so you don't win as much on them.
Speaker 2 (01:20:34):
What are your winning so far? Just the littles two one, I've.
Speaker 1 (01:20:37):
Won like three cents. No, I haven't lost anything, but
my my long bets.
Speaker 7 (01:20:44):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:20:45):
We'll see.
Speaker 3 (01:20:45):
Nice question nineteen.
Speaker 2 (01:20:48):
Who has won the most Oscars?
Speaker 1 (01:20:50):
Who? Gene Hackman?
Speaker 2 (01:20:52):
Was it Walt Disney, John Williams, Denzil Washington or Emma Stone?
I mean it what, it's Walt Disney. So Walt Disney
has won two Oscars? Wow? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:21:05):
Is that like some legal technicality where he stolen the
right to write to a bunch of things and somehow
that manages to mean he won the Oscars or something?
Speaker 2 (01:21:12):
No, I think because if like him directly, if they
wins an Oscar and he produced the film, then he
gets an Oscar for producers.
Speaker 1 (01:21:17):
Okay, so it's not like, all right, well that's kind
of ridiculous.
Speaker 6 (01:21:20):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:21:20):
Yeah, when you win Best Picture, the awards go to
the producers for Best Picture.
Speaker 6 (01:21:26):
What.
Speaker 2 (01:21:26):
Yeah, No, I think that's yeah, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:21:30):
I think that's true. Yeah, yeah, that's true. But it's
still ridiculous, Like.
Speaker 3 (01:21:35):
Yeah, I don't think it's that ridiculous. No, you're a producer.
Speaker 2 (01:21:38):
It's your fault of the project doesn't work out, but
it's your it's your success if it does, it's not. Well,
it's like every single you're in charge of overseeing production
and time and cost and making sure it comes to
the screen and making sure that's cast.
Speaker 7 (01:21:52):
And that doesn't mean if it wins Best Picture, that
isn't all on them.
Speaker 1 (01:21:57):
Though, No, that's not all on the producers. I'm not
going to producers shouldn't get credit, but I'm saying the producers.
It should be the producers, the directors, the writers, everybody
should get not necessarily like an actual oscar, but everybody
should on that work.
Speaker 2 (01:22:09):
On That's why when you win Best Picture, they bring
up there everybody goes up.
Speaker 3 (01:22:13):
Yeah, yeah, but go to the producers, It goes.
Speaker 1 (01:22:15):
To the goes everybody who worked on it should should
get it.
Speaker 2 (01:22:18):
Okay, But there's there's categories for actors, there's categories for directors,
there's categories for costume and makeup and stuff. That's why
when you win up Picture, we don't give out in
our thirty Oscars, we give it out to the producers
because they don't have a producer category. It's so ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (01:22:33):
It's like I explained, like no, no, you did.
Speaker 1 (01:22:38):
Ridiculous. Okay, ridiculous, we did the last question. See this
is this is basically my main problem with the Oscars though.
It is just that we don't have this. There's so
much like I don't know, there's just so much, so
much like personal opinion.
Speaker 2 (01:22:56):
I don't know if that's opinion though, right, Like it's like, yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:22:59):
It is, because what you think might be best picture
is maybe not what I think.
Speaker 2 (01:23:03):
No, but all are still getting the awards at the
Academy votes on question twenty, Yeah do it.
Speaker 6 (01:23:12):
We're all tied up?
Speaker 2 (01:23:13):
Oh ship, how long it's Scars Cards make Up? Take
in Dune Part two? Out of what three, six, eight
or twelve? Yea hours? Oh every day, jesus minutes.
Speaker 5 (01:23:27):
Days that No, oh you got it?
Speaker 2 (01:23:31):
I come o, you got us eight hours scare for
stealing Scars Cards Makeup, which means the winner of trivia
goes to yours.
Speaker 1 (01:23:43):
Hey, we got it, we won, I lost horribly.
Speaker 6 (01:23:47):
Questions right here you go.
Speaker 2 (01:23:50):
I'm going with the brutalist here.
Speaker 6 (01:23:52):
Like I mentioned earlier, I really like how lol Crawley
uh films his buildings and his architecture.
Speaker 2 (01:23:57):
Actually, yes, Doom Part two. Sorry, I I put money
on doing part two, but I can see the Brutalist also,
I'm gonna go with the Brutalist. That's what I would
have put my other money on, would be the Brutalist.
I just shots were great. That's why I thought it's
(01:24:18):
it's such a long frickin' movie because they show so
many beautiful shots for so long that could arguably be cut.
But like, they're good shots, you know what I mean.
They're very beautiful, cool style, cool color. But it's just
like there's so many of them. I think I actually
liked the Brutalist better than I liked doing Part two overall.
Speaker 3 (01:24:37):
Maybe a hot take you.
Speaker 7 (01:24:38):
Had a hot take about doing Part two in general,
if you what.
Speaker 5 (01:24:42):
Well.
Speaker 7 (01:24:42):
I just remember after we saw the movie, because I
didn't think it was.
Speaker 3 (01:24:45):
A ten out of ten movie. I thought it was.
Speaker 2 (01:24:47):
I gave it an eight and a half out of ten,
and you guys thought I should be giving it a
nine and nine.
Speaker 7 (01:24:50):
I remember, I don't remember what I gave it, honestly, and.
Speaker 3 (01:24:53):
I didn't agree that it was a ten out of
ten movie.
Speaker 7 (01:24:56):
I think I think I gave it a nine.
Speaker 1 (01:24:57):
I think I just gave it a nine.
Speaker 2 (01:24:58):
There was too many shots of sand for me to
to give it a ten.
Speaker 3 (01:25:02):
Again. My money's on Zoe Saldana for supporting actress. She
already won that we we got we made her bet
though we made money for that.
Speaker 7 (01:25:11):
Didn't This is the second time we forgot that she won.
Speaker 2 (01:25:19):
Oh but we did. We went. We won two cents
off of that bet.
Speaker 1 (01:25:22):
Yeah, I won one cent or two cents, I don't know.
I've won a total of three cents.
Speaker 2 (01:25:29):
I did enjoy Nasaratu. That's kind of like a movie
that I'd watch again.
Speaker 7 (01:25:34):
Would totally have Willem Defoe read me a bedtime story.
Speaker 2 (01:25:40):
Bar two.
Speaker 7 (01:25:42):
Oh, the Brutalist did win? Okay, cool, Gary's losing money,
love to see it.
Speaker 2 (01:25:51):
No, that is a good a good win. Though I
would have liked to see Dune Part two win. But
The Brutalist is so many good shots. The quality is
there for three hours. It's just like I said, some
of those shots probably could have been cut out for
the yeah purpose of time.
Speaker 3 (01:26:08):
But really good.
Speaker 2 (01:26:12):
Gary, I let us astray on that one. We'll make
it back. When Anora wins the Best Picture.
Speaker 3 (01:26:24):
Why would you vote brutal best Picture?
Speaker 1 (01:26:26):
See what I really need a best Picture? I need
Conclave to win Best Picture because I have much better
odds on that.
Speaker 2 (01:26:34):
But you said I was I was your advisor. Yeah,
but so you chose to lose five bucks instead of
make ten cents. Oh, I forgot about that.
Speaker 1 (01:26:49):
Yeah, Best International.
Speaker 3 (01:26:53):
Amelia Press prob I could see flow going in.
Speaker 1 (01:26:58):
There, but i'd like to see flow.
Speaker 2 (01:27:00):
I'm gonna say it's Amelia Press.
Speaker 1 (01:27:02):
You're probably right.
Speaker 3 (01:27:03):
Denominations Amelia Press.
Speaker 1 (01:27:05):
You're probably right. I don't like it.
Speaker 2 (01:27:08):
But the ending Amelia Press sucked too. I'm not gonna
lie I didn't like the ending.
Speaker 1 (01:27:16):
Yeah, I'd love to see flowin the word.
Speaker 3 (01:27:20):
Was authentic that they kept using, and like.
Speaker 1 (01:27:22):
I said, authentic, that's it.
Speaker 2 (01:27:23):
Yeah, I know, it just wasn't authentic with the character.
Speaker 1 (01:27:30):
Huh.
Speaker 2 (01:27:33):
I'm still here, but.
Speaker 12 (01:27:34):
As yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 6 (01:27:37):
Man.
Speaker 2 (01:27:37):
Like the ending of Amelia Press just didn't sit right
with me. It didn't feel if everyone's calling it authentic,
and I just like, I feel like this is like
a lady lying to her kids, you know, you know
what I mean? Yeah, And like it's like I get
the intentions right, like good intentions, but like still spends
most of the time lying to her kids, and it's like,
(01:27:57):
oh man, like that's tough, right, I don't know how
authentic that really actually is.
Speaker 6 (01:28:02):
In the end, fun fact about I'm still here. It's
the first Portuguese language film nominated for Best Picture, and
I'm assuming now best winner.
Speaker 2 (01:28:13):
Good for the best pictures?
Speaker 6 (01:28:15):
Uh yeah, oh best feature Foreign Picture, sorry, international feature.
So I'm assuming now it's the first Portuguese language probably winner.
Speaker 1 (01:28:28):
Are they giving less time to some people? Totally? Like
that seemed really compared to some of the first ones.
Speaker 2 (01:28:37):
They started, though. I think the last few years have
been blasting it and getting complaints. So I feel like
I've noticed it's starting to play quieter, you know what
I mean.
Speaker 1 (01:28:45):
Yeah, but they're still giving. They're still giving. Last time,
like that was barely a minute or two.
Speaker 8 (01:28:50):
Yeah, it definitely doesn't feel fair, especially when when like
Karen last year's.
Speaker 2 (01:28:54):
International feature sorry yougo, sorry no no.
Speaker 8 (01:28:57):
I was just gonna say, like, especially with like Karen Culkin,
he was up it for like five minutes, and now
it's like people are getting like a minute tops.
Speaker 1 (01:29:05):
What's our bet? Do you guys have bets on on
the the next ones on the actor, actress, director.
Speaker 3 (01:29:15):
Is my actor?
Speaker 2 (01:29:17):
Best picture?
Speaker 3 (01:29:18):
Is Ana.
Speaker 6 (01:29:21):
Best actress? Mickey Madson, I'm going then, or Mikey Madison.
Sorry not Mickey. What am I saying? Mikey Madison could
be awesome to see her win?
Speaker 4 (01:29:29):
So for actor, I went Adrian Brody. For actress, I
went Demi Moore and then I put a noora down.
I actually put two bets on best pictures. I put
a dollar or I put two dollars down on a
Noura and then I put one dollar down on Conclave.
Speaker 2 (01:29:52):
Yeah, that shot right there is really.
Speaker 4 (01:29:58):
If you ever need any underwater shots, I do have
my scuba license. Just saying I'm open for business.
Speaker 2 (01:30:04):
You haven't mentioned that in a long time. It's always
the canoe and the plate.
Speaker 1 (01:30:09):
Yeah, I mean, I'm.
Speaker 4 (01:30:14):
I'm gonna go do my advanced dry suit and ice
diving over the next few months. I'm really excited for
ice diving next winter.
Speaker 7 (01:30:24):
I should have said ten.
Speaker 2 (01:30:25):
It kept with my ten answer.
Speaker 5 (01:30:34):
Yeah, good Man, good Man, Yeah, oh yeah, Mark Camel Camel.
Speaker 2 (01:30:50):
I'm so excited.
Speaker 1 (01:30:59):
I wonder how I'm tired. Isn't that song?
Speaker 4 (01:31:01):
Oh so annoyed, folks, so annoyed. That would have been
so good. Oh yeah, so this is the original score,
(01:31:24):
original score.
Speaker 2 (01:31:27):
I did like that Brute the Brutalist. I listened to
that one on the.
Speaker 3 (01:31:32):
Way on that night, like the arm.
Speaker 2 (01:31:36):
You know that one?
Speaker 13 (01:31:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:31:39):
See, to me, Wicked shouldn't be in there, because Wicked
is a musical that's not an original score. No, even
if parts of it original, Wicked is a well establishedment,
like defying gravity in all those songs, those have been
around for Oh.
Speaker 3 (01:31:56):
I do like the Wicked the Wild Robot score.
Speaker 1 (01:31:59):
I just want to see Wild Robot win one.
Speaker 2 (01:32:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:32:02):
Oh wow, Whoopy Goldborgang?
Speaker 7 (01:32:04):
Who is that whippy Goldberg? And what Oprah? I just kay.
Speaker 8 (01:32:11):
Hmm, okay, So this isn't an award because they're on
the other side is another musical number?
Speaker 2 (01:32:18):
What are we doing here?
Speaker 1 (01:32:21):
Which one's which?
Speaker 7 (01:32:23):
Whoopies on the left?
Speaker 1 (01:32:24):
I think see, I think.
Speaker 2 (01:32:27):
Oprah Winfrey that's like aged really well, how old is she? Oh,
she has to be in her sixties, right, If he's sixties.
Speaker 7 (01:32:36):
Probably sixties.
Speaker 3 (01:32:39):
Seventy one?
Speaker 1 (01:32:41):
Wow, Oprah, that's a seventy one on the right.
Speaker 5 (01:32:45):
Wow, yeah, she really has age, Like at.
Speaker 1 (01:32:50):
The most she looks like she could be fifty.
Speaker 2 (01:32:53):
I know, I said sixties, and it was like, oh,
maybe fifties.
Speaker 1 (01:32:56):
Seventy one, hold is whoopy none, I'm looking that up
right now.
Speaker 2 (01:33:07):
I'm joking out. I was like, no, six, what she's
two years younger than Oprah?
Speaker 3 (01:33:14):
Look at that.
Speaker 1 (01:33:15):
That is crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:33:17):
Wow, yep, I would say for sixty nine, WHOOPI Goldberg
still looks great.
Speaker 1 (01:33:25):
She does, yeah, Oprah?
Speaker 2 (01:33:27):
Oprah looks like, holy shit, man, that's insane. Seventy one
is criminal. Save some youth for the rest of us.
Speaker 1 (01:33:35):
Okay, Gary, come out here and support me. And what
do you think of the Oscar show?
Speaker 2 (01:33:38):
So far? Garbage? This whole thing is a complete joke.
Speaker 10 (01:33:41):
I don't know.
Speaker 15 (01:33:42):
If it wasn't for the beautiful kind souls here entertaining us,
I would say, why the hell are we doing this?
Speaker 1 (01:33:48):
But it's at least uh.
Speaker 11 (01:33:51):
Not super painful to be around, thanks to you guys,
So I appreciate that. But holy crap, I could think
of about one hundred thousand different things we should all rather.
Speaker 2 (01:34:01):
Be doing than watching this garbage.
Speaker 1 (01:34:03):
I can agree with you on that.
Speaker 15 (01:34:05):
I You've been very good at describing how bad this is.
That's because we're not looking at me, look at me, guys.
Speaker 2 (01:34:11):
That's the whole big look at me, look at me.
Speaker 1 (01:34:13):
Well, that's the thing. Is is the problem. Like I
said before, the problem I have with the Oscars is
it's all just a big you say, look at me,
look at me, look at me. And also I don't
like the idea of you know, this is the best
picture of the year because it's so subjective and the
one person likes is not what another person.
Speaker 15 (01:34:35):
The problem is the people that do make the decisions
are all so far up their own asses that they
don't know the damn movie.
Speaker 2 (01:34:42):
So we end up being like, this is the best movie,
and no one goes and sees it because there's garbage.
Welcome to the movie biz, get it out of here.
Speaker 4 (01:34:51):
I enjoy watching the Oscars, good for you, you know what,
And that's why they're still around is because people do
enjoy watching it, and.
Speaker 2 (01:34:58):
So take it all with a grain of salt. And
it's nice to see.
Speaker 3 (01:35:02):
I agree.
Speaker 2 (01:35:03):
Maybe it wasn't my best picture of the year, or
this isn't the film I would have voted for, but
it's nice to see what a group of people averaged
out to decide, and it gives me what they're not
voted on to look at films that maybe I haven't
seen that people are right maybe considering to be a
little bit more profound, you.
Speaker 3 (01:35:19):
Know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (01:35:20):
Yeah, but they're not voted on by just your average audience.
Speaker 4 (01:35:25):
Like if we wanted, if we wanted to go for
a true what just is your average person thinking, then
we'd go to Rotten Tomatoes or IMDA.
Speaker 2 (01:35:33):
It's nice to see what like a group of people
have have have decided. Maybe if I don't necessarily align
myself with those people, it's nice to see I wouldn't
I wouldn't have watched Amelia Press if it wasn't if
it wasn't nominated for an Oscar, you know what I mean. Yeah,
it's kind of it's kind of more of a push
to go see more movies than maybe I wouldn't have seen,
you know what I mean? Now I have more of
(01:35:53):
an urge to go see Conclave or The Nickel Boys,
because like, hey, wow, look at that it's winning towards
for set design and stuff like that, Like maybe I
should go check that out and see what do we
think here? Right?
Speaker 3 (01:36:03):
Like why was it deserving of.
Speaker 6 (01:36:05):
That I don't mind the oscars, you know, I don't
think I like them as much as other people do.
But like you said, it's kind of fun to for
everyone to come together and enjoy and celebrate movies.
Speaker 2 (01:36:16):
It's something that yeah, like I'm passionate about, right, and
like that's what I want to go move forward for.
So it's like, oh man, it's cool to see like
these things might help me by watching these things that
they're showing, might actually help me generate some of my
new ideas of my craft that help boost my career.
Speaker 13 (01:36:35):
And not fair.
Speaker 4 (01:36:38):
No, no, okay, no, not that I'm aware of. Because
the oscars aren't just American, are they.
Speaker 7 (01:36:53):
No, there's it's international.
Speaker 1 (01:36:55):
Yeah, but they definitely they definitely favor North American forwards
with America.
Speaker 2 (01:37:00):
I feel like in the last year a few years though,
it's been definitely changing, with like Parasite starting out in
twenty nineteen.
Speaker 1 (01:37:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 15 (01:37:20):
Cool.
Speaker 8 (01:37:21):
It's just also crazy how many people uc is like
still wearing masks and stuff like on set and stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:37:28):
I think a lot of it comes down to international
laws too, I imagine, yeah, probably shooting in a place
like Italy or something. No, I'm presuming if I don't know.
Speaker 7 (01:37:47):
You could be right.
Speaker 1 (01:38:00):
Even the presenter.
Speaker 13 (01:38:00):
Gats he's the best actor, best actor.
Speaker 2 (01:38:13):
Let's do what.
Speaker 5 (01:38:15):
There has been no up for two man.
Speaker 1 (01:38:19):
That's true. They haven't mentioned him once or showing him
on the camera at all.
Speaker 2 (01:38:25):
The Apprentice.
Speaker 1 (01:38:28):
What are we thinking here?
Speaker 6 (01:38:29):
A yeah, I would like to put my money on it.
Speaker 8 (01:38:32):
I would like to see Timothy shell May would But
yeah I could. I could go to Adrian Brody, could go.
Speaker 2 (01:38:38):
To Unknown over dune.
Speaker 3 (01:38:41):
There's no way he deserves it, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (01:38:44):
I haven't seen it.
Speaker 2 (01:38:46):
Like I said, three, it's like it's going to be
a year of doing when doing three coming to I
don't know.
Speaker 8 (01:38:55):
But but yeah, because the whole AI thing and with
the accents and stuff, I don't know should I don't
know if I.
Speaker 2 (01:39:00):
Don't think people here enough and I feel like it
matters for a DR. They for a DR they used
an AI enhancer for his accent, Like, I don't think
people are going to care that much.
Speaker 7 (01:39:15):
But if he's going up for a best Actor, I
feel like they've got.
Speaker 4 (01:39:17):
A I don't know, well, especially with all the controversy
in terms of AI in a creative space, but.
Speaker 7 (01:39:23):
I get that it's not his fault.
Speaker 1 (01:39:25):
No, it's not.
Speaker 7 (01:39:25):
That's not that's not on him. But like, at the
same time, it's like, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:39:34):
Tathy tell me has good range, he's a good actor,
but I think I don't know. I think his performance
was better in Doune, Like I feel like he should
have won for Doune, not freaking a complete unknown, Like
I just think that would be ridiculous. I was gonna say, too, Dawson.
I think I watched Norman Ritas's Closet Picks because now
(01:39:55):
they've been watching The Looking Dead, and then I watched
his Uh I forget it's called it's like when they
take the board and like the web thing, like they
read off like the top search. Yeah the oh wow,
huge applause for mister Stance. Anyways, I thought it was
very good. I really enjoyed it. And it's weird seeing him.
(01:40:17):
He's still so quiet in real life, but he just
doesn't talk as slow as Darryl.
Speaker 6 (01:40:23):
Yeah, no, I respect that man. Long Norman read this,
I very much like him.
Speaker 3 (01:40:27):
Yeah, I freaking love him.
Speaker 2 (01:40:29):
And finding out that the Andrew Lincoln is is English?
Speaker 3 (01:40:33):
Oh yeah, crazy?
Speaker 14 (01:40:36):
Yes, how much money did we win? Gary no, brother,
don't never tell me the odds.
Speaker 3 (01:40:55):
I just I told you what to vote for Gary.
We could have been very rich.
Speaker 1 (01:41:01):
So I won that bet. So I made thirty five cents.
Speaker 7 (01:41:05):
Yeah, good for him, Good for him.
Speaker 1 (01:41:10):
Yeah, no, it's not I need thirty five cents to
oh what what.
Speaker 2 (01:41:18):
You see? Sebastian stam Stand nominated for an oscar right
after he appears in Captain America A Brave New World.
Speaker 1 (01:41:27):
This isn't a bad speech. It's a bit sappy for
my liking.
Speaker 6 (01:41:31):
But definitely probably the most memorable from the night so far.
Speaker 1 (01:41:36):
Yeah, for sure, probably the best in my opinion. But
still they're not cutting him off, which is annoying. They
cut the they would have cut the others off.
Speaker 6 (01:41:45):
Like.
Speaker 2 (01:41:46):
Best Actor.
Speaker 6 (01:41:47):
No, yeah, I feel like that's yeah, but.
Speaker 7 (01:41:49):
There's gotta be certain ones that you just can't.
Speaker 2 (01:41:51):
Yeah, but.
Speaker 7 (01:41:54):
These are the ones gonna get it end up on YouTube,
Like right.
Speaker 6 (01:41:56):
Away, I was gonna say, these are the iconic ones
come from.
Speaker 2 (01:42:00):
I have a joke. His speech was almost as long
as the movie itself.
Speaker 6 (01:42:08):
Like can you say Tarantino, Yeah, Tarantino?
Speaker 1 (01:42:10):
Yeah, so this should be Best Director then.
Speaker 3 (01:42:13):
Probably, but he has Honora Seawan Baker.
Speaker 2 (01:42:17):
Yeah, I'm going to Nora has to be come on, yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:42:20):
I'm going for Sean Baker put a dollar fifty on that,
so let's get them thirty.
Speaker 7 (01:42:26):
Tarantino actually one or is he only been nominated?
Speaker 2 (01:42:28):
No, he's won.
Speaker 6 (01:42:29):
He won an Original Screenplay for Inglorias for directing directing.
Speaker 2 (01:42:33):
I was just gonna say, I'm I don't know.
Speaker 7 (01:42:35):
Has he won direct I know he's been nominated by actually.
Speaker 2 (01:42:38):
So because twice what's his name? Gloria's Pastors and Django Yango? Yeah,
what's his name?
Speaker 1 (01:42:45):
Quentin Tarantino?
Speaker 7 (01:42:46):
No talking about he did win?
Speaker 2 (01:42:47):
Christopher Wis won. Oh, both both of those movies Supporting
Actor and Leading Actor.
Speaker 1 (01:42:53):
Actually on this one, I make sixty cents if I win.
Speaker 6 (01:42:56):
Let's go Sean Baker.
Speaker 3 (01:42:57):
Sean Baker, Yeah, yeah, how much dold we Winered?
Speaker 6 (01:43:02):
That's awesome. Actually, way to go Indie Film, Way to
go Sean Baker?
Speaker 2 (01:43:09):
Did you not?
Speaker 6 (01:43:10):
Did you?
Speaker 1 (01:43:11):
Did you not take any of Ethan's advice on this?
Speaker 11 (01:43:16):
Actually what happened was I took his advice and then
I decided not to make the bet because it wasn't
paying anything because they were all huge favorites.
Speaker 2 (01:43:25):
So look at how much it's paid. Just trust the process.
But it doesn't pay anything.
Speaker 1 (01:43:30):
If you're wrong either, Gary, I've made almost a dollar today.
Speaker 2 (01:43:36):
He doesn't pay if you're wrong.
Speaker 4 (01:43:38):
Who on the time, Betsy're not bets?
Speaker 1 (01:43:42):
But what are there times that we guessed?
Speaker 7 (01:43:45):
You got four more minutes?
Speaker 1 (01:43:47):
I said three minutes? I said thirty seven.
Speaker 2 (01:43:49):
Yeah, okay, you're technically the closest.
Speaker 1 (01:43:52):
Right now, did I guess the highest?
Speaker 7 (01:43:55):
You did?
Speaker 2 (01:43:55):
Yeah, you'll be the closest technically, but like, no, probably.
Speaker 6 (01:44:07):
My birthday, birthday, Happy birthday, s Baker's birthday, Sean Baker's mother.
Speaker 2 (01:44:14):
Any categories you guys disagree with tonight?
Speaker 6 (01:44:17):
There was one I'm still standing with mine visual effects.
I feel like Planet Dave should have won that Dune
was good, Dune Part two was a was a good win.
But I'm a little upset planning.
Speaker 1 (01:44:28):
Think about that one. The more I honestly agree with you,
like they're kind of different, but.
Speaker 2 (01:44:33):
I put my money on him.
Speaker 6 (01:44:35):
That's my one grade.
Speaker 4 (01:44:36):
That's the one thing that I like about some of
this when like I don't have anything at stake, right,
Like if I'm betting on like the Riders, I'm never
gonna bet against the Riders, or like when I was
betting on Foreig Nations, I'm not gonna get a bet
against Canada. But like with this, I don't give a
crap who wins. Really like it's nothing on it, so
I can bet whoever I want that I think I'm
gonna make the most money. You know, I really would
have liked to have seen Wild Robot win something, yeah,
(01:45:00):
just because I think it was a really good movie
from what I saw it was. And like some of
those like more simple stories like that, I feel like
they we need to return to that more in movies
instead of these overly complex like you know, Like I
feel like sometimes just having like a simple good verst
bad story almost is is nice. Occasionally I like the
(01:45:25):
complex ones, but I'd like to see more of those
simpler ones getting.
Speaker 1 (01:45:32):
Recognition.
Speaker 2 (01:45:33):
And I think there could almost be a separates for
animated film because I feel like most of the time
they get yeah you know what I mean, or they
make up categories just for animated films, like making up
a category so I can get a Technical Achievement award,
you know what I mean? Yeah, Yeah, Like I mean,
I think overall, an animated film getting noniminated for an
Oscar kind of bound because it's not like it's going
(01:45:56):
in any of the editing categories. It's going in anime
feature or like score, you know what I mean, right, Like,
it's not like going in a ton of other places.
So it's like, I don't know, it's kind of bound
to be snubbed in a sense. And that's exactly why
I think, like, hey, maybe we should honestly maybe look
at other avenues for all the animated shows where we're like, hey,
(01:46:19):
like where can we put this in its own category?
I it follows the same structure for sure, and like
directing process, but the actual nuts and bolts of like
the the creation of it are are different and in
terms of technic technical stuff and whatnot. And I think,
I don't know, Like I just feel like there's this
(01:46:42):
other issue too, where it's like, as we get into
more films with more special effects and more stuff on computer,
it's like then how how how much can we actually
throw in on that stuff before it's considered animated, you
you know what. So so it's it's kind of a
weird avenue.
Speaker 8 (01:46:55):
So I don't know, just imagine almost like animation getting
its own award.
Speaker 7 (01:47:02):
Show Yes, would be very interesting because there's allays. There's
always like so.
Speaker 8 (01:47:07):
Many like animated movies that come out every year that
just don't get noticed. It's like yeah, especially and then
when it comes to the Oscars, like you hear about.
Speaker 1 (01:47:15):
Five yeah, and like that's it or if ive only
get recognition for it?
Speaker 6 (01:47:21):
Quick fun question, If you guys could sit next to
someone at the Oscars, who would you want to sit
next to?
Speaker 1 (01:47:27):
What's his face? The guy who's voicing it, whose name
is completely of it.
Speaker 6 (01:47:32):
I think Andrew Garfield would be cool to sit that.
I would just ask him a lot of Spider Man questions.
Speaker 7 (01:47:36):
I would just say Toby Maguire.
Speaker 6 (01:47:37):
Then at that point, yeah, Best Actress. For the first
time since nineteen seventy eight, all films featuring Best Actress
nominees are also nominated for Best Picture.
Speaker 1 (01:47:50):
Oh neat, I didn't think about that. So who we
got in this one?
Speaker 2 (01:47:57):
Madison?
Speaker 6 (01:47:58):
Yeah? I have Nicky Madison, Mikey. I say Mickey every
time it's Mike.
Speaker 1 (01:48:02):
I have Demi Moore.
Speaker 6 (01:48:04):
That one would be nice. I would like to both
of them. Yeah, Demi Moore would be nice, but I
want Mikey.
Speaker 7 (01:48:09):
I feel like, yeah, those two are the talk of
the of this.
Speaker 6 (01:48:13):
It's between those two and going back at that little
fact I tell you I couldn't tell you the year,
but I believe the same thing is for Best Supporting
Actress too. All Best Supporting Actress nominees were also nominated
for Best Picture.
Speaker 2 (01:48:25):
I think so.
Speaker 6 (01:48:26):
Like the actress, these were all nominated for Best Picture
as long as Best Actress, like I said, since nineteen
seventy eight, but I believe that also applies since for
the Best Supporting Actress too.
Speaker 2 (01:48:37):
Yeah, oh that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (01:48:45):
How much did you make for that one? Gary?
Speaker 1 (01:48:52):
Okay? For Best Picture?
Speaker 4 (01:48:55):
Ana the Brutalist are completely unknown. Conclave Dune Part two,
Emilia Perez, I'm still here. You're trying to ruin my flow.
Nickel boys, the Substance and Wicked.
Speaker 1 (01:49:05):
Who we got boys?
Speaker 2 (01:49:06):
We got a Nora.
Speaker 6 (01:49:08):
Big looking at Anora pretty hard right now.
Speaker 1 (01:49:11):
I put two bucks down on a Noura.
Speaker 4 (01:49:13):
But I also put a dollar down in Conclave, just
as a long odds, just because it's better return.
Speaker 7 (01:49:17):
So they don't be it'll be between a Nora and
the Brutalist.
Speaker 2 (01:49:20):
I agree. Yeah, what a win for Sean Baker and
the crew in the cas Gary.
Speaker 7 (01:49:27):
How much would we win on that?
Speaker 2 (01:49:37):
You did it?
Speaker 6 (01:49:38):
You said, wow, So that's how many for a Nora
three Editing, Original Screenplay, Picture and Director.
Speaker 2 (01:49:51):
For Actress Final thoughts anyone.
Speaker 6 (01:49:56):
It was a good night. You know a lot of
my predictions that I have came through if we do one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen.
Speaker 2 (01:50:07):
So that was pretty good. I'm happy with the NeXT's decisions.
Speaker 8 (01:50:10):
I found it kind of neutral, honestly, Like there was
no big no big surprises, no big shocks. A lot
of it, A lot of it was just like yeah,
no fair enough, makes sense, makes sense. So it's like, yeah,
it was alright, it was alright, some fun moments, but I.
Speaker 2 (01:50:26):
Thought Ben Stiller was a real stab.
Speaker 1 (01:50:27):
I think Ben Stiller, But yeah, I'm gonna and Adam
sad there. I'm gonna agree with read on this.
Speaker 4 (01:50:31):
It was just kind of normal, right, like, like there
was nothing really like you said, Ben Steeler was a
highlight for me just playing in the I would why
don't we why don't we rate this in typical viewing
or in fashion? Out of ten let's get let's get
our ratings of this year's Oscars.
Speaker 6 (01:50:50):
I'm gonna go eight two, eight point two, eight point two.
Solid night, honestly solid night. Like, yeah, I think it
was a solid night.
Speaker 7 (01:50:57):
I will give it a seven point four.
Speaker 2 (01:51:01):
I'll give it an eighth. My all the things that
I really wanted to win, yeah, one and so yeah,
like I agree, like no, I don't really disagree. Even
with the ones that I wasn't really going for, I
could see them winning, right. It was very high quality throughout.
Speaker 4 (01:51:15):
Yep, I'm going to give it a two. I have
no interest in the Oscars. I think it's ridiculous and
I would rather, you know, spend five hours staring at
paint dry then watch the Oscars.
Speaker 1 (01:51:32):
So yeah, Gary, what do you what do you rate it?
Speaker 11 (01:51:36):
Minus two burning film projectors out of ten LB?
Speaker 6 (01:51:40):
Thank you?
Speaker 2 (01:51:41):
Okay, well, thank you guys all for joining us on
this adventure and staying strong throughout a night that continues
to get longer and longer like the average duration of
a film. Yeah, but much like an H twenty four film.
Our time to end is soon. So a couple thank
(01:52:02):
yous before we head out, just wanted to thank producer
Gary first of all for spending four hours in that
hot booth, four and a half hours sitting in that
well you came out and grabbed snack, So four hours
in the booth and anyways, it's very much appreciated. I
really appreciate you when we are very grateful that you
(01:52:23):
sat here moving graphics and shit for us while we
sat in your house, and you volunteered your time tonight,
So thank you very much. You get a big round
of applause for that. So thank you, Gary, the Oscars
Best Oscars Producer Watch Parties, Gary Nickel. I also wanted
to thank Adam for putting in so much technical effort
(01:52:47):
helping put together different shows and working countless hours into
the ams trying to figure out the best way to
logically to make this work right. So it Yeah, it
was awesome, So thanks madam.
Speaker 4 (01:53:03):
And you put in many as many late nights as
me producing the content and everything.
Speaker 1 (01:53:08):
So uh regrets to you as well.
Speaker 2 (01:53:10):
I'll take it, Yeah, I'll take it. UH shout out
to read. Thank you so much for coming here being
a guest host. We really appreciate you. I know we've
had you kind of in and a round before, but
it was really nice to get you back on and
in here. I think we should call you back for
when we do our Love Hurts episode that we have. Yeah,
we'll get in there Awson, obviously running the film account
(01:53:32):
scenes by Dawson. Yes, we'll make sure you're linked in
the description and whatnot. But thank you so much for
also coming out and being a nice guest host. Awesome
to have your opinions and thoughts. And thank you so
much for working on questions and also being prepared. Yeah, yeah, no,
and yeah, and shout out to your mom for the
cinnamon thinking.
Speaker 1 (01:53:49):
Yeah, those were awesome. Shout out moms in general, moms
in general.
Speaker 6 (01:53:54):
No, but thank you guys. It was a wonderful night.
Thanks for inviting me on.
Speaker 13 (01:53:57):
I think, yeah, it was great.
Speaker 2 (01:53:58):
Yeah it was. It was a lot of fun.
Speaker 1 (01:54:00):
And we're turning into the Oscars. Let's let's end this. Yeah,
but I didn't get.
Speaker 2 (01:54:07):
Can be tough to watch, Yes, soaking live streams of
people watching Awards show. Thank you guys for making this
as fun as I think it could be. And I
hope we can make this a trend. I I think
this was very ah portuitous for us, you.
Speaker 4 (01:54:22):
Know, and all my technical planning. The thing that I
forgot to plan is how we were going to end it.
So Gary, however you want.
Speaker 2 (01:54:30):
To do it.
Speaker 1 (01:54:30):
This, this is the end. Bye bye bye, Thanks Rotching guys,
