Keeping the Prostate healthy is important as men age.  Prostate Cancer is the #1 Cancer in Men, which includes "almost all men over the age of 80".  In this episode, you'll discover:

—How keeping your Testosterone levels up can help prevent Prostate Cancer.  And why Dr. Prather believes men don't "completely function well" outside of Prostate numbers in the 800-900 range.
—The Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy (BPH) condition that creates an enlargement of the Prostate and is caused by Estrogen dominance.
—The reason Dr. Prather was not surprised to hear that former President Joe Biden had Prostate Cancer.  And why he would not be surprised if President Donald Trump has it, too.
—Why Diet, particularly increased Fiber, and Exercise are so important for Prostate Health.  And why it's important to eliminate toxins like heavy metals, infections, and parasites that can kick off Cancer in the body.
—How a Native American herbal formula first developed by Hiawatha is still used by Dr. Prather for his patients to help detox the body.  And why Dr. Prather says that it's something "almost everyone who has Cancer should be taking".
—The Vitamins, Minerals, Herbals, and Homeopathics that are most helpful for Prostate health and for lowering side-effects from Chemotherapy.  And how the Prostate contains the highest concentration of Zinc in the human body and is "critical" for Prostate health.
—Why Dr. Prather predicts this generation of young men will have increased rates of Prostate Cancer due to Marijuana use.
—The instantaneous relief Acupuncture provides for those suffering from Prostatitis.  And why you shouldn't be afraid of where Dr. Prather puts the needles!
—The amazing story of a terminal Prostate Cancer patient sent by his oncologist to Dr. Prather for pain relief through Acupuncture.  And why the oncologist called to ask what Dr. Prather was doing to the patient after seeing the patient's PSA numbers plummet.
—How just preventing a patient from becoming Anemic during Cancer treatment can increase their survival chances by 50%.  And how keeping the Liver clean during Cancer treatment can increase their chance of survival by another 25%.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
Hi, I'm Lisa Praither and welcome to the Voice of
Health with our host, doctor Robert Praither of Holistic Integration,
where lives are changed every day through the natural approach
to healthcare. Well, we're talking today about prostate matters. Keep
them Plumbing in check. Fun little title, yeah, it is

(00:35):
and quite appropriate. So doctor Praither, what is the prostate in?
What role does it play in the male body?

Speaker 2 (00:44):
So the prostate has the same embryonic material as the uters,
So it's sort of like the uterus of the male. Okay,
uh huh, So it's walnut shaped and what it does
is it produces the nutrients for the sperm. So just

(01:06):
like the uterus is sort of the protective area of
the baby, it provides the nutrients to keep the sperm
alive to be able to get where they need to get.
So that's the first thing that you would think of
as far as on the prostate. It is also as
it goes into spasms, that's what creates the orgasm, so

(01:32):
it's a has a sexual function also, and then it
also the spasms on that allow for the ejaculation. So
you know, having a good strong prostate actually is helpful
along those lines and makes a big difference. So one
of the things is that you can access the prostate

(01:54):
is palpable through the as you go up the anus,
and that's there's a lot of about that as far
as on getting the examination on that, see how it's doing.
But Benover, doctor Bendover. Yes. And then also it has
the urinary tract right next to it too, so it

(02:14):
can play, you know, as if it larges or has problems,
it can cause urination issues.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Okay, So and only men have a prostate.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Only men have a prostate, Yes.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
And at what age should men start thinking about their
prostate health?

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Well, really, you know, you should be starting to think
about that even as young as eighteen, you know, keeping
up the nutrients, making sure that your hormones are good.
One of the things that's important is your testosterone level.
So a higher testosterone level makes a more healthy prostate.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
What are good testosterone levels?

Speaker 2 (02:54):
Well, you know, minimum they actually start doing testosterone replacement
at about two hundred and fifty and then really it
should be to be operating well three hundred and fifty
or higher.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Fifty.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Yeah, but really, I mean I don't think men completely
function well until they're about eight hundred, eight hundred, nine
hundred is really where they should be kind of operating at.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
What are you seeing levels at holistic integration.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Well, I mean, it's very well known that testosterone levels
are dropping throughout the world, and not just in humans
but also in animals. So the testosterone they started measuring
that back in World War One, and ever since then,
the testosterone level has been dropping in military men. One

(03:43):
thing that we're finding is that we find young men
nineteen eighteen with one hundred and fifty testosterone, which is
a real problem because if the testosterone level isn't high,
then that's one of the things that kicks off benign
prostatic hypertrophy where you get an enlargement. Basically that's an

(04:04):
estrogen dominance problem. And then if you have a high
testosterone level, it actually keeps you from developing prostate cancer too.
So the testosterone level has a huge health benefit to
the prostate and keeps the prostate working as you get older.

(04:25):
So keeping that prostate healthy is one of the you know,
the testosterone level is one of the main things that
keeps the prostate healthy, and one of the big things
is estrogen dominance will actually create an enlargement of the
prostate and actually is one of the main things that
contributes to prostate cancer.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
So what are some of the early warning signs of
prostate issues you know that men should be aware of.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Well, one of the things is you're urination if there
is some as you as men well known, once you
develop prostate problems, usually have to get up a few
times in the night. The more prostate problems you have,
the more you get up at night to go to
the bathroom. Go to the bathroom, go pee, you know. So,

(05:10):
urinary tract issues are one of the main things as
far as on the prostate that men can be aware
of and actually look at. Also, the ejaculation isn't as
strong as it used to be. If there's any type
of blood in the semen is another thing to be
aware of. So those are all things that should be

(05:31):
looked at. And again, really if you're looking at diagnostics,
really looking at your testosteron level, that's a big indicator.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Yeah, So what are some common prostate related conditions and
that you see in your practice.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
Sure, one of the things that's most common, that's almost
universal with men is benign prosthetic hypertrophy And what is
that basically the prostate starts to get bigger, it loses
it kind of fills in. Instead of being more hollow,
it actually comes more solid, so you have less and
less of the ability of the prostate to one make

(06:13):
the material that nourishes the sperm, but also it cuts
down on the orgasm, you know, the contractions and also
the ejaculation, and as it gets bigger than it actually
interferes with urination. So one of the other things that
we see as prostatitis where you get an infection of
the prostate, which is a very annoying type of occurrence.

(06:38):
It's very uncomfortable for men. And then one of the
other things, of course is prostate cancer, which is the
most common cancer in men. Matter of fact, once you
hit over seventy five, almost every man has prostate cancer. Really,
so you know if you're going to do you know,
one of the things is that while doctor wants me

(07:00):
to get a biopsy of my prostates, see if I
have cancer, you know, and I say you're eighty Yeah,
you got prostay cancer. So you know, that's a definite
right there. It's just to what degree and whether you
want to go through the biopsy or not. But it
is something that occurs and something that is actually usually

(07:22):
a very slow growing type of thing. But looking at
that and evaluating it accordingly is the big three things.
The enlargement of the prostate, cancer and then also prostatitis
are the three things that we deal with.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
Okay, So can you explain the PSA test and how
reliable it is.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
Yeah, it's something that it's good for males to have
done on it at least a yearly basis once they
start getting probably in their forties, just to make sure
that everything's okay. But the PSA is basically tells us
how much of an inflammation in the prostate is going on.
Inflammation inflammation, So you're looking at that and it's a

(08:04):
good indicator. It can be something that you take into
consideration as the possibility of cancer or different types of
problems that are occurring, but it's basically just a measurement
of your inflammatory condition. So one of the things that
if we do have prostate cancer that I look at

(08:26):
is something called prostatic acid phosphatase. That's a PAP test,
and that actually shows up if the prostate is actually
having cancer that's actually gotten outside of the prostate. So
It's a very good type of a test if there
is any thoughts that there is possibility of prostate cancer

(08:47):
if you have but I have a lot of men
that we run that on them on a yearly basis
just to make sure that nothing you know, is actually
occurring outside of the prostate as far as i'm can
type of things. So looking at those types of things,
one of the blood tests that becomes alarming that you
watch is the alkaline phosphatase. What that would show up

(09:11):
is if there is the big problem with the prostate
cancer is it can go to the bones and that's
an indication that something like that has occurred. So that's
a very important type of screening that if we do have,
you know, cancer going on, and the alkalin phosphatase starts
coming up, that becomes a real real problem.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
So those are the things that you would check.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
Those are all things that we would be looking at,
and of course we always encourage men to get their
prostate exam to make sure that you know exactly where
they are. Ultrasound is also another way you can have
that checked just to see what's going on that. So
imaging blood work, your analysis is an important type of thing.

(09:55):
But there are several different types of tests that we
use to help to understand and work with a prostate.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Okay, when we come back, we're going to talk about
lifestyle factors that can reduce the risk of prostate disease
and more of natural type of treatments for prostate health.
We'll be right back. Does your group or organization need

the Voice of Health. Wellness tip featuring rapid release technology. Okay,

(10:44):
we're going to talk about this rapid release technology or
r RT. It's our secret weapon, like to say, it's
non surgical drug free treatment option. Sure, it's FDA registered
high speed vibration device. It was developed in twenty.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
Ten actually by a chiropractor.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
It's a pioneered high speed vibration therapy. It's focused on
the relief of soft tissue problems affecting nerves, muscles, tendons,
and ligaments.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
There's a lot of different ways that you can get
adhesions and a scar tissue and different things released. A
lot of it can actually be very painful to achieve,
and it's one of the things that is not well
treated at all in the disease care model up until
this point. What they were able to do is come
up with the concept of a vibrational instead of a mechanical.

(11:31):
It's vibrating at a frequency that they found breaks up
tissue that is abnormal, so it actually starts to change
it melted away when it does. That then allows the
body to go in there and lay down normal tissue
that is fully functioning. The good illustration on that is
an opera singer who can sing, and you've got that

(11:53):
vine crystal starts to vibrate, and it vibrates at a higher,
higher frequency, even to the point where it can even
what you're doing with this rapid release is you're creating
a vibration and that doesn't harm normal tissue. As matter
of fact, it actually heals, It gets more circulation and
makes it better functioning. But abnormal tissue it actually breaks up,

(12:14):
and then it helps the body to dissipate.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
It relax muscles and release aches, pains and tention. Through

are not the same, so why are they often treated
like they are? Join us for our free Holistic Integration
educational seminar Diabetes Decoded, A holistic look at Type one
and type two diabetes Wednesday, June twenty fifth, at six

(13:00):
thirty pm. At this IE opening seminar, we'll break down
the crucial differences between type one and type two diabetes
and how each requires a uniquely tailored approach. You'll learn
how to better manage your symptoms and how to support
your body naturally. You'll hear from doctor Robert Praid, their
host of the Voice of Health Radio.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
It's interesting because we have people come in they had
seen their doctors, and we looked at their blood tests
and I said, well, you're pre diabetic, and I said, well,
the doctor didn't talk to me at all. He just
said I wasn't diabetic. The time to really treat diabetes
is before it becomes diabetes. It's very seldom that somebody
just all of a sudden become type two diabetic, and
type one diabetes happens rather quickly, but type two diabetes

(13:40):
usually takes a while to develop. Type two diabetes is
completely preventable and actually curable if they do the proper
type of things. Head in the proper direction, look at
that and you can actually see the changes that take
place that prevent the diabetes from occurring. Do you have
to go in with pharmaceuticals then is a failure. This
is something that should be taken care of in lifestyle

(14:01):
type of way of doing it. It's very very workable.
We see quite commonly where people are no longer diabetic.

(14:53):
you're listening to the Voice of Health with doctor Robert
Prether of Holistic Integration, the most comprehensive one in the
center in the Midwest, talking today about prostate matters keep
the plumbing in Check. And it's interesting we're talking about
this because our former President of the United States, Joe

(15:15):
Biden's diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
And of course I go, duh, he's over eighty.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
Yeah, yeah, what you said most men?

Speaker 2 (15:27):
Yeah yeah, I mean is almost well. I mean, if
it's not one hundred percent, it's ninety five percent.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
So you know, if you're at that age, you can
go around, yeah, I got prostate cancer, you know. But
you know, so I'm not really impressed by that if
that's what they're using as an excuse or for anything,
because you know, that's something that I'm sure Trump at
his age has prostate cancer. It's just something that is there,

(15:57):
and you know, if you do a biopsy on any
male over eighty years old, you're going to fighting prostate cancer.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
Well, let's talk about what lifestyle factors can reduce the
risk of prostate disease.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
Well, of course, keeping your testosterone up, you know, anything
that you can do along those lines makes a huge difference.
If you could keep your testosterone up, you know, all
the way through the eighties and everything like that, you
could maybe actually get by without prostate cancer. But it's interesting,
the testosterone is a preventative. Estrogen dominance is something that

(16:36):
will make prostate cancer occur and behind prosetic chipertrophy occur.
So keeping that under control, which is very difficult as
you age. Up until the age of forty five, I
had absolutely no problem along those lines, and my body
showed it after forty five. You know, it's something that
you have to work on. Yeah, it's not something that

(16:59):
you know, I try to keep under control, but it's
not completely where it should be. But a lot of
factors actually go into that, you know, as far as
on testosterone, your exercise level, you know, your sex activity
has a big effect along those lines. Your diet one
of the biggest things if you're looking at dietary types

(17:20):
of things that all cancers make a big big thing on. Well.
I mean, as the National Cancer Society says is that
sixty five percent of all cancer is dietary related, sixty
five percent. So you know, if you're looking at diet,
one of the biggest things is fiber. You know, I

(17:41):
harp on that a lot, but of course they sit
there and say a mediterranean or a vegetarian diet makes
a very big difference on your cancer levels. And basically
it's the fiber.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
The fiber.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
You know, our ancestors basically ate about seventy five grams
of fiber a day, about fifteen grams of sugar, and
now we eat seventy five grams of sugar and fifteen
grams of fiber. So fiber is like a magic bullet
for cancer. You know, if you can keep your fiber
up and shift to that. And what that does is

(18:14):
the fiber is also one of the best things to
keep your weight under control. So it's the best, most
proven way to keep your weight down. And of course,
you know the GLP antagonist, you know, the ozempic, all
of those different ones. All they're doing is using a

(18:36):
natural hormone that the intestines make that goes up to
the brain and causes weight loss. So you know, it's
the fiber that actually makes that hormone. And of course
we're using an agonist, and you know, going into that
whole thing, there's an awful lot of problems if you're
using an agonist instead of the actual one. That can

(18:58):
cause a huge amount of problems, which is whole another
story which you can get all the beit. You can
actually get more benefits than all these drugs that they're
using just by getting your fiber up and because it
changes the balance of your gut flora, which changes your
immune system and all these other different types of things.

(19:19):
So diet plays a very big role. Exercise curres a
world of sentence.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
Why is that there's.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
Actually physiological changes. So your blood sugar actually starts working
better with exercise. With exercise, your pH balance is out,
your hormones are stimulated for mail, your estrogen actually decreases
with exercise, and your tasasphone goes up. Your hormonal change

(19:48):
pH I mean, it just goes on and on and on.
We were made to exercise on a regular basis, So
the lack of exercise and matter of fact, people didn't
have to used to worry about exercise.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
Right, They walked everywhere.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
Yeah. I mean if you didn't exercise, did you know,
you didn't eat and you died. Yes, So it was
just a matter of life exercise. So diet, exercise plays
a very big role in your prostate. So looking at
those things are always big types of things. Alcohol, drugs,

(20:22):
all those things play us some big roles, cigarette smoking,
all the toxins. So if you're looking at cancer, there's
a lot of things that are involved with that. First
off is your oxygenation level. Cancer cells can't live in
an oxygen rich environment, so that's one of the things,
of course that exercise does, is it increases the oxygenation.

(20:44):
So if you become anemic and you have cancer, that's
a very big thing. And that's one of the things
that happens oftentimes with chemo is your red blood cells
actually decrease and your oxygenation goes down, so it increases
your chances of that getting cancer again. So what is
your oxygenation level was.

Speaker 1 (21:04):
Very important and then taking anemia seriously.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
Taking anemia seriously, so oxygenation is critical. You're also talking
about the immune system. How well is the immune system working.
Is it up to part There's a lot of things
that actually influence that. There's also the toxins in the body.
You know, if one of the things that used to
be is with whenever you're dealing with cancer is making

(21:30):
sure that the livers okay, keeping the liver clean. They
used to have just liver cleansing spas to treat cancer.
That was a big type of thing. So keeping the
liver clean, keeping yourself detexed. Genetic changes, you know, don't
take things that shift your genetics, mutagens, things like that

(21:52):
in your diet. We have an awful lot of chemicals
into our system that causes genetic changes. In those genetic
changes kickoff cancer. pH The pH of the cells plays
a very big role basically cancer cells. You know, one
of the big things is you have to alkalize or
you get cancer because they're saying acidic, but actually the

(22:13):
cells themselves are extremely alkalized, and then the surrounding material
is becoming acidic. So one of the things that you
can do is actually get alkaline minerals into the system
that can actually then penetrate into the cells to actually
kild and if you get those minerals into it. It's

(22:34):
almost instantaneous death on the cancer.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
Cells, so their alkaline interior an acidic around it.

Speaker 2 (22:44):
Yeah, because it forces it all out. And then it's
interesting because the cancer actually almost has like a thought
process to it. It's quite interesting because it actually makes
sort of like this force field that keeps things that
would just out. So having the different types of products

(23:04):
that will actually penetrate through that to get into the
cancer cell is one of the big things that you
have to do. It's kind of like more it is
because you're basically having another critter that's actually growing inside
of you that will actually kill you, and it's also
then fighting you to actually live where you're trying to

(23:25):
kill it. So everybody has cancer cells all the time, right,
you know, it's something that you're constantly working on. But
being able to do the different types of things keep
the system working. Actually kill the cancer cells is one
of the main things that our immune system does and
our body actually regulates to keep that under control.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
Interesting, are you born with them cancer cells?

Speaker 2 (23:49):
That's a real good question. As you age, you get
more and more of them because there's a breakdown into
the system. But yeah, I mean, if you actually checking
like one of the things that we were really excited
about was that on diagnosing cancer was MRIs. MRIs would
actually show up if there were cancer cells and through

(24:13):
the system because you could actually do a different type
of thing where they would light up and you'd count
them and then see how many they were. But the
problem with that was wasn't an indicator of whether you're
going to develop cancer or not, because everybody's got cancer
cells and so.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
And do you really want to know how many you know.

Speaker 2 (24:33):
So it's a thing that wasn't indicative. Basically, it's how
well your body is regulated. You know, the better that
your body is in homeostasis and can adjust to homeostasis,
then the better you can deal with cancer. So with
our care, with structured function care, what we're doing is

(24:56):
putting the body back into balance homeostasis, and then the
bi if you can achieve that the body can take
care of the cancer.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
Yeah, and when we come back, we're going to talk
about the holistic integration approach to prostate health and prostate cancer.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
Prostate cancer is the number one cancer in males men
who are eighty. Almost all of them have prostate cancer.
Most of the time. When men get it younger, it's
a fast growing and if they get it older then
it's usually slow growing. Prostatitis it's an inflammation usually kicked
off by an infection. Very very uncomfortable because it's a

(26:42):
constant type of irritation. As men get older. About ninety
percent of the men have benign prostatic eye perchrophy. You
want to prevent that from happening. It will make it
more possible to get prostatitis and also prostate cancer. If
you don't have benign prostatic eye perchaphy, you probably aren't
going to get prostate cancer. It can be worked with

(27:03):
and can have a tremendous amount of success if you
actually are working with it right and making sure that
everything's done accordingly. Acupuncture is extremely helpful for the prostate,
specially prostatitis.

Speaker 1 (27:14):
Should I ask where you're putting the needles?

Speaker 2 (27:17):
Yeah, that's what they were asking too. I had they
were a little bit nervous. Most of them are in
the feet. For the prostate, that is very effective. It
provides immediate relief. It also is very helpful for the cancer.
Men find that there's a lot of relief that occurs
with that for the discomfort of the prostate. Matter of fact,

(27:37):
I remember one gentleman stuck the needle into his ankle
on the inside and he goes, am I just imagining that?
Or did my pain just go away?

Speaker 1 (27:46):
Wow?

Speaker 2 (27:47):
And I said, no, it can happen that quickly, so
acupuncture can be extremely helpful in the treatment of all
the problems with the prostate, especially effective for the prostatitis.

I'm Lisa Prather, and you're listening to the Voice of
Health with doctor Robert Prether of Holistic Integration where we
get to the root cause of your health issue. We're
talking today about prostate matters. Keep the plumbing and check.
You know, I have chat GPT and it's so much fun.

(29:50):
Chat GPT came up with that title, and I'm not
that clever. Fun title fun to Yeah. Good. So let's
talk about a holistic integration's approach to prostate health and
prostate cancer. You know, you said homeostasis.

Speaker 2 (30:11):
Homeostasis, Yeah, that's looking at the whole body, you know,
and then what's the underlying cause? You know, was this
something that oxygenation got down was their toxins. One of
the things that we found on several people is that
you know, heavy lead, heavy metal toxicity actually kicked off
the cancer that the person was dealing with. So getting

(30:33):
rid of that heavy metals is real critical part. Toxins
can also be infections. The most common infection that kind
of kicks off prostate cancer and making a homeopathic for
that actually has a huge effect on that is tuberculine
and bovinum. Kind of like it sounds like a song,
you know, like one of those sixty tuberculin and bevin.

Speaker 1 (30:57):
But that's what I like about homeopathy. That's fun name.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
Oh they have really fun names, but that's actually the
name of a tuberculous infection comes from COLC. Actually get
it from malk and it's a common bacterial infection that
goes to the prostate and can kick off cancer. So
you know, there's a lot of different types of things
that are occurring on that. You know, so you're putting
it all together and we look at the whole system.

(31:22):
So when we're doing diagnostics, of course we're interested in
the specific ones for the prostate PSA, PAP, you know,
Alkaline phosphatates are all things that we watch. But you know,
how is the liver working, because if the liver's not
working right, then you're going to have issues. And we
have a lot of things to get that clearer. As

(31:44):
a matter of fact, sect is something that there actually
had like forty clinics across North America, Canada, and the
United States, and they were set up to treat cancer.
And it was this t that was actually put together
traditionally by Hiawatha oh Wow, and then he gave those

(32:05):
to the Chippewa, the Aljibua. Now the Ajibua original recipe
is actually what we use which actually has a lot
more things in it and more effective. But that was
something they actually found that that herbal combination was traded
as far down as South America.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
And what's the tea called.

Speaker 2 (32:24):
Well, there was doctor siak So he had named it.
They had named it sact Oh after him, and it
was the four main ingredients that were involved in the
tea that the Indians put together. But the original Indian
tea actually has about sixteen We actually get ours from
the Ojibwa themselves and then we use that for people

(32:47):
to take and it's an excellent detoxer of the kidneys,
liver and overall, and it is something that actually with
the detoxification, because we know detoxification keeps cancer away, helps
to fight cancer, something that almost everyone who has cancer
should be taking, and that also helps to prevent cancer.

(33:09):
So it's a great detoxer. So that's one of the
things we have. Of course, we have a lot of
other ones, you know, as far as on pro Samonian,
all sorts of different types of liver detoxers that we
can actually utilize. And then you're also looking along those lines,
just not on detoxification, but keeping the immune system up.

(33:30):
What are the different things that you need to do
that zinc. Zinc is absolutely critical for the prostate. The
highest concentration of zinc in the human body is in
the prostate. Really interesting, it's critical and a very common
type of thing that men become deficient in so zinc

(33:51):
for the health of the prostate. Very important to check
that out. We do a hair analysis, we can also
do a blood test kind of compare those and see
how the zinc is actually working in almost everyone. It's
the most common mineral deficiency in people, men and women.
Men and women. So zinc is very critical for prostate cancer,

(34:14):
benign prostatic pertaphy, prostatitis. It actually helps out with that.
So getting the zinc levels up is something that you
look at. Matter of fact, one of the reasons that
if you're looking at pumpkin seeds. You've heard of pumpkin
seeds for the prostate.

Speaker 1 (34:30):
Yes, yeah, and there's times you've eaten them.

Speaker 2 (34:34):
Yeah when we're Yeah, there are times that we've actually
eaten them. It was great for our honeymoon. I lived
off the pumpkin seeds.

Speaker 1 (34:45):
You needed them. We need to let listeners know that.

Speaker 2 (34:52):
Don't know we're married, we're married, Okay, yeah, but the
pumpkin seeds are great to going to be.

Speaker 1 (34:59):
Running out out getting their pumpkin seeds.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
Yeah, well, I mean, you know, even like giving pumpkin
seeds to their teenage sons. That kind of helps them
to you know, you're not encouraging them to, but it
keeps them healthy. It keeps them healthy, you know, in
pumpkin seeds is a great way and it's great source
of zinc. So that's one of the reasons that that
works well. So there are a lot of different types

(35:22):
of tricks along those lines to make the prostate work
better in what you're looking at. You know, so as
we're looking at it. We're looking at the blood work
also the hormones. You know what is the estrogen testosterone
ratio and a lot of you young men right now
are estrogen dominant. It's hard for them to function. To think. Oh,

(35:46):
and one of the things is marijuana. Marijuana actually really
crashes the testosterone level yeah in young men, which they
don't realize, and it will actually increase their estrogen dominance
and cause one there testosterone level two drop so they're
not operating as well. And then it also causes a

(36:08):
lot of prostate problems that are going to develop. A
I think that marijuana is something we're going to find
as a big cause for prostate cancer. So we're going
to have a large increase that actually price start earlier,
it'll start earlier one younger man, we're going to have it,
and it's actually going to be a lot more aggressive

(36:30):
as an issue. So a lot of things, alcohol, cigarettes,
all those things cause problems. So as we're looking at homeostasis,
the hormonal balance actually plays a big role, the adrenals, thyroid,
Looking at the entire thing is critical. We're also looking,
of course, as we said on the heavy metals, the

(36:50):
minerals play a big role, not just zinc, but the
whole balance of the entire system. Zinc is the biggest
one that you would think about. Yeah, of course you're
thinking about the vitamins and fatty acids plays a big role.

Speaker 1 (37:05):
And that's why it's so important, and that's why we're called,
you know, holistic integration. Looking at the whole body, you.

Speaker 2 (37:13):
Know, sure, looking at the gut. Yeah, you know, doing
a GI stoolkit. Do you have infections and.

Speaker 1 (37:20):
Through their What about parasites?

Speaker 2 (37:22):
Parasites are absolute parasites cause So it's an interesting thing
because there were a lot of alternative health care people
that were saying parasites is the cause of all cancer,
which isn't true.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
Which isn't true.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
Parasites certainly can cause cancer. Almost any infection you can
talk about, viral, bacterial, or parasitic or fungal. Those types
of things can cause immune stress, toxicity, genetic changes. But
parasites can be one of the things that can kick
off cancer. And if you have cancer, it's a very

(37:56):
interesting things that occurs is that your immune system gets
we and then everybody that you check that is going
through cancer treatment has parasites because of the wea can
immune system, so trying to keep that going just biosis
if you have constipation. Interestingly enough, constipation is one of

(38:17):
the factors that can actually cause prostate cancer.

Speaker 1 (38:21):
That's why fiber is so important.

Speaker 2 (38:22):
Fiber is very important, and part of the thing is
that with constipation, you have fecal matter constantly up against
the prostate. It's a toxin that you don't need that
can actually lead to toxicity of the prostate. So, you know,
looking at the whole system, the gut, the mineral tissues,

(38:44):
the blood, the vitamins, the minerals, all those different types
of things goes into everything working right. And as you
can get everything balanced out, your chances of getting over
the cancer become much much greater.

Speaker 1 (38:58):
Okay, well, when we come back, let's talk about the
herbs that help with prostate health. All right, we'll be
right back. Never miss an episode of The Voice of

(39:41):
and type two diabetes are not the same, so why
are they often treated like they are? Join us for
our free holistic integration educational seminar Diabetes Decoded, a holistic
look at type one and type two diabetes Wednesday, June
twenty fifth at six thirty pm at this eyeopening so
we'll break down the crucial differences between type one and

(40:03):
type two diabetes and how each requires a uniquely tailored approach.
You'll learn how to better manage your symptoms and how
to support your body naturally. You'll hear from doctor Robert Praid,
their host of the Voice of Health Radio.

Speaker 2 (40:16):
The World Health Organization and the Center of Disease Control
said that we're really ignoring the pre diabetic condition and
that's really where we need to be starting to treat people.

Speaker 1 (40:24):
And so how many people are pre diabetic?

Speaker 2 (40:27):
Well, that's the shocking number. It's about eighty million people
that they estimate are pre diabetic.

Speaker 1 (40:33):
That's an including type two, type one, no pre teche
We've got these that's that pandemic.

Speaker 2 (40:38):
That's what you said, right, We've got thirty five million
people who have diabetes. Only twenty three million people know that.
Eighty million people is what they And I find that
very true because we're constantly telling people. Matter of fact,
there are more people that come into our office that
are pre diabetic that aren't. It's the fastest growing disease

(40:58):
in America. It is going way beyond any other type
of disease growth. Diabetes increases free radical pathology quite dramatically
because of when you're making energy, you need the glucose
to make energy, and that whole process is disturbed when
things go wrong, the oxygen molecules start to kick off
free electrons starts to damage the body. That's why they

(41:21):
call them antioxidants. Free radicals are probably one of the
biggest things. If you had no free radical damage in
your life, you would look like you're twenty one the
rest of your life. You would never age. So it's
the free radicals that cause the aging. And like what
I was telling one guy is that the free radical
damage is what happens to a rusty gate. We had

(41:41):
found that he had that. He says, Okay, that's exactly
how I.

Speaker 1 (41:44):
Feel, like a rusty Gate.

Speaker 2 (41:46):
Like I'm an old rusty Gate. He said, So this
is the reason why I said yes. And if we
can get this down, that rusty feeling is going to
be gone. Whenever you have diabetes, it uses up vitamins
and minerals at a much higher rate than the normal
person with a diet. There is no way with type
one or type two diabetes to be able to keep

(42:06):
up with your nutritional needs. When we're talking about supplementation,
it's basically concentrated foods. You're not talking about something that's medicine.
Oftentimes we're using concentrated foods so that we can get
that into the system. But is absolutely necessary. Everyone who
has diabetes should be taking supplementation from a structure function doctor.

(42:27):
That is something that is absolutely necessary. Type one diabetes
can't be reversed, but type two should always be able
to be reversed. That is something that is very workable
and can be done if people follow the recommendations that
we give.

(43:26):
you're listening to the Voice of Health with doctor Robert
Praither of Holistic Integration, where our mission is restoring hope
to our patients. We're talking today about prostate matters. Keep
the plumbing and check and doctor Prather, let's talk about
herbs that we use at Holistic Integration that help with
prostate health.

Speaker 2 (43:47):
Sure, of course, one of the big ones that everybody
knows about is solfamento and solf momento is absolutely wonderful
for the prostate, taking inflammation down. So that's one of
the base sick ones that we look at. But there's
actually quite a few different types of herbs that have
been shown to help with the prostates. So we look

(44:09):
at all of them. And if you're talking about prostate cancer,
you're talking about like alo verra is excellent, you're talking
taking internally internally. Yeah, and we actually have one that's
an herbal type of thing that you can actually get
it so that it doesn't have the diarrhea component. So
we have that actually taken out the patti arco on

(44:31):
and on and on again. Probably we have about two
thousand herbs.

Speaker 1 (44:36):
Yeah, and that's what's nice is we can test which ones,
which onesis yeah.

Speaker 2 (44:42):
Right right, barbering, golden seal, all those different types of things,
dandelion roots, all those things have a very big effect
as far as on the prostate So finding those and
finding out which ones that we actually utilize. One of
the things is I get a combination of twelve different
Chinese herbs from China specifically for prostate cancer, and that

(45:06):
is really amazing a combination of the combination. Yeah. So
looking at the herbs is a very important part because
it's a natural type of way. It's much easier on
the system than the chemo and radiation and can do
quite a bit as far as on stimulating the body's

(45:27):
own ability to fight and help out with the cancer.
Missletoe is one that works quite well.

Speaker 1 (45:35):
Now that's interesting.

Speaker 2 (45:36):
Yeah, Actually mistletoe has a tremendous amount of research behind
it as far as on all the cancers. One of
the things actually that I really want to mention is iodine.

Speaker 1 (45:47):
Iodine.

Speaker 2 (45:48):
So iodine is very well proven as probably the best
treatment for breast cancer, and there's very they haven't done
as much research as far as for the prostate there's
very encouraging things that iodine has a huge effect on
prostate cancer, so zinc critical keeping that up. Iodine is

(46:11):
very very important. Matter of fact, if you in the
old days when they would talk about any type of disease,
if you don't know what to do, give them iodine.
You could actually see that the patient would usually get better.
And that was something that of course the pharmaceutical companies
didn't like. The other thing is vitamin D. Vitamin D

(46:32):
is absolutely known to be critical for cancer, and vitamin
D deficiencies is one of the things that kicks off cancer.

Speaker 1 (46:40):
So the people that you see in the blood work,
you review how many people, what percentages that people have
low vitamin.

Speaker 2 (46:48):
D that come in And interestingly enough, the darker your skin,
the more likely you are to have a vitamin D deficiency,
and that's one of the things is that prostate province
in prostate cancer is higher in the black population. You know,
the darker the population, the more likely they are to

(47:09):
have it, and a lot of that has to do
with the vitamin D levels. So looking at that, keeping
that up to par is very very important.

Speaker 1 (47:18):
Yeah, how about homeopathy.

Speaker 2 (47:20):
Homeopathy is very very helpful along those lines because we
can actually make homeopathics for oh, we can hit every
single different thing that we know of that can actually
help with cancer. So if you're looking at shark cartilage
is well known to help out with cancer, but we
can make a homeopathic as well as give it to

(47:41):
you leatrol which is B seventeen. We can actually give
you a homeopathic for that. We can give you no
sutes for the different types of infections that could kick
off the prostate cancer. We actually have a homeopathic for
prostate cancer that is very very helpful along those lines.
And we can actually make homeopathics for all the chemotherapies.

Speaker 1 (48:05):
To help with any side effects, to help out.

Speaker 2 (48:07):
With any side effects. So so many different types of
ways to approach that. There are different categories of homeopathics.
So we have the classical homeopathics, which there are about
eight that are well known for working with prostate cancer.
We have something called nosodes, which actually deals with the infections,

(48:29):
so getting the infections down, helping the body to identify them.
With the nosodes. We also have sarcodes. So sarcodes are
homeopathics for different organs in the body. So you can
make a sarcode for prostate itself, which actually has some
very strong effects along those lines that can really make
a big difference.

Speaker 1 (48:49):
Yeah. Yeah, So let's talk about other treatments that we
have had holistic integration that help.

Speaker 2 (48:55):
Acupuncture, Oh, acupuncture. I have a very interesting case along
those lines. I had a gentleman who was sent to
me by the oncologist because his morphine wasn't working anymore
and he had prostate cancer and they had tried everything.

(49:16):
His PSA was a million a million, which is you
don't want it really over three?

Speaker 1 (49:27):
Oh my goodness.

Speaker 2 (49:28):
So and they were like, you know, he's just got
a little while to live. The morphine's not working anymore.
See what you can do. So we did the acupuncture.
He was able to get off his morphine completely and
I got a phone call from his oncologist said, what
are you doing to my patient? I said, well, what
do you mean? What am I doing to your patient?

(49:50):
He said it dropped to one hundred thousand. Wow his PSA.
And I said that sounds really good. He says, yeah,
that's amazing. Keep it up. So we were kept on
doing the acupuncture and he got it down to ten thousand,
and then we said, hey, this actually might be something.

(50:10):
Would you like to take some products that might actually
help with us too.

Speaker 1 (50:14):
So that you were just doing acupuncture completely, just dropping
all those zeros, dropping all.

Speaker 2 (50:19):
Those zeros, and the oncologist was absolutely thrilled. And then
you know, we started on some things and one of
the things that we use is that's very good for
the prostate is a standard process product called prostate PMG protamorphogens,
and that is something that is especially good for the
prostate and seems we're especially wealth for cancer patients. So

(50:43):
that was one of the products. We put him on
a few herbs along with that, and it really wasn't
too many things, and it dropped down to one thousand,
and then we got it down to one hundred and
fifty and kind of maintained it at there, but I
knew him at the five year survival rate. Wow. Then

(51:04):
I kind of lost track of him at that point.
But this was someone who basically they said had he
was maybe maybe a couple of months. Wow.

Speaker 1 (51:15):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (51:16):
And at the time I agreed with him, you know,
just I was just trying to keep him comfortable.

Speaker 1 (51:21):
Yeah, I'm just picturing people thinking where do you put
those acupunctures?

Speaker 2 (51:28):
And that really wasn't actually what we were kind of
looking at.

Speaker 1 (51:33):
Yeah, now we only have a minute. Can you believe this?

Speaker 2 (51:35):
Oh a minute? Really I haven't covered so much.

Speaker 1 (51:39):
Maybe we need a Yeah, so you know you're look
at it acupuncture.

Speaker 2 (51:42):
Acupuncture, costatitis, acupuncture, actually release it as people are in there. Wow.
So they love me for that, because that's that's a
hard thing. But you're talking about prostacytis, you know, and
as we work with this, we have actually seen you know,
the prostate train nine. Parstitic carpertrophy is something that really

(52:03):
everyone with cancer should be seeking out structure function care
just because one it changes. They know that it changes
the symptomatology. You know that people have less problems. But
as you can just like, okay for just keeping you
from becoming an emic, you increase your chances of survival

(52:25):
from any type of cancer by fifty percent.

Speaker 1 (52:28):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (52:29):
Just by not becoming anemic. If you can keep the
liver clear while you're being treated for cancer or going
through cancer again, you're adding probably twenty twenty five percent
of your chances of living. So keeping the white blood
cell count up, keeping your minerals at the proper level,
so as you are doing different types of treatments, you know,

(52:52):
keep yourself healthy during that time, and it can make
a huge difference.

Speaker 1 (52:56):
Very informative, you know, and I hope why and mothers
and women we're listening, you.

Speaker 2 (53:03):
Know, Well, they're the smart ones who keep us alive.
You know, my lovely wife here, use me in check
and make sure that I don't overextend myself and take
care of myself there, right, that's what the big potat.
That's what women do.

Speaker 1 (53:18):
Yeah, thank you, doctor Praith, Thank you.

Speaker 2 (53:21):
Lisen.
