The WMRN Archives

The WMRN Radio Archives preserves and shares the broadcast history of WMRN Radio and its longstanding role in the Marion, Ohio community. The archive features historic airchecks, news broadcasts, station promotions, interviews, special events, public service announcements, and other recordings spanning decades of local radio. From Buckeye Chuck Groundhog Day broadcasts to the voices of former staff members and community leaders, these recordings help document the people, events, and stories that shaped Marion’s local airwaves. Each recording is preserved as part of the historical record and is presented with additional context whenever available. The mission of the WMRN Radio Archives is to identify, preserve, and provide public access to recordings that tell the story of WMRN Radio and its service to the community. New material is added as recordings are discovered, digitized, researched, and preserved.
