Speaker 1 (00:00):
Correct Street chantal time in.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
History, chattel On wrestling fans, it's I See Fall. Welcome
back to ten Media. On today's edition, I'm talking to
the greatest tag team of all time. It's the Hotty Boys.
How you doing today?

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Very good? How are you man?

Speaker 2 (00:27):
I am doing great? And of course booful Glory is
coming to town Lowell, Massachusetts, October twelfth. You versus Team
three d Tables match. Tag team titles are all on
the line. Before we really get into the weeds of that.
How does it feel to be connected to the Dudley Boys,
I Guess and Egen Christian for all of these years?

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Yeah, I mean the are the three of us, those
three teams. We will always be eternally connected. You know,
we created so much history together, especially with the first
triangle Ladder match, which in theory was the first TLC match,
and you know, we created two and there's just so
many matches between the teams individually that we've had with
one another and against each other that have been so

(01:07):
special and so memorable. In a lot of ways, we
redefine tag team wrestling around the time.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
So we are extreme brothers from different mothers, and it
will always be like that.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
It's amazing to hear, because, yeah, for as long as
I can remember, the tag team division in our brains,
when people think of Mount Rushmore as it's always Hotti's edge,
Christian Dudley's and then you throw on another team. But
for you, do you believe? I believe, But do you
believe you're on the Mount Rushmore of tag teams?

Speaker 1 (01:36):
I would I would say yes. I would say yes.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
I mean, especially because I don't think there's anyone you know,
at the risk of sounding conceited, I don't think that
has had the longevity that we have had and also
been working at as high of a level as we
are still too.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Thanks Ks And of course, oh do you everything to
say Jeff about that?

Speaker 4 (01:57):
I agree, I agree with Matt, yet it's yeah, I
did a yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Well, it's hard to argue with the best tag team
of the world going today and in the past to
president and the future. But with bountful glory coming up,
I do want to talk about a few boundful gallory
memories you've had before the Great War in twenty sixteen.
Oh my, We've had flying pumpkins, we had monster trucks,
we had everything, but was there something in that match

(02:22):
that you weren't able to pull off that you wanted to.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
I know, I think we put off everything we wanted
to because it was real cool. How we started with
live action in the arena, then we kept backstage and
we fought all around Orlando a little bit, and then
back to the arena and finished it up. We were
very happy with that match. The Great War is one
of our favorite matches of all time.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
And it's so funny too, because when the Broken Universe
started becoming a thing, this is where I started noticing
people recording reaction videos of watching the Broken Universe matches.
This was kind of new for wrestling fans. How do
you feel about, you know, cinematic matches. I tipped my
hat to you recording real as I also would tip
my hat to you. How do you feel that it
feels like you guys started this reaction video phenomenon we're

(03:05):
in right now.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
Yeah, it's such a big thing now, I know you
see it constantly. I think it's cool. I mean, we've
been blessed with so many great moments. When you think
about our whole career, you know, you look back and
we had some great tag team matches obviously in the
late nineties early two thousands, but we were also guys
who told stories in a different way using inanimate objects
with tables, ladders, and chairs, and obviously we had the

(03:27):
help of Edgine Grishan and Team three and eight to
do that. And then we also had another defining moment
where we kind of did the modern day cinematic match,
you know, with the whole Final Deletion and everything that
was encompassed in the Broken Universe. So it's very cool
that we've had so much influence and we've been able
to affect things in pro wrestling, and just like you said,
people watching the match back and reacting, that's very cool

(03:48):
that that's kind of attributed to us as well.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
We used to rent big, old VHS recorders that would
be on your shoulder and make little movies at home
as kids, and.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
That's kind of like what we were doing.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
That's what I was thinking about during the filming of
The Final Deletion. I was like, man, this is so cool,
where this is what we dreamt of doing, you know
when we were little, and for it to be so
successful was just the It was so amazing.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
It was very successful. Also, the time that was successful.
Maybe is when you box the kangaroo. Can you take
me through that, because when I watched that video back,
I historically laughed last night again seeing a kangaroo. Just
take you out for a minute, Matt, But both of you,
what's it, what's it like preparing mentally to box the kangaroo.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
That's one of my favorite moments from the Broken Universe,
and my favorite part of Boxing the Kangaroos was when
Matt was he had this the Egyptian get up on
the all gold and everything, and he said he I
had already fought the kangaroo, and he said, punish me,
punish me, punish me, punish me.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
I had to walk out of the shot. Man. I
was laughing so hard. I mean it seriously.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
The kangaroo smoking Joe had grabbed me and was squeazed
to me hard and he was kicking the ship on
my leg. And that's why I was just you know,
I was like, you got to it was scary, but
I said, you gotta stand characters like punish me.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
You know. It was so surreal.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
He locked up on me, and it was a really
good lock up.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
It was like I was locking.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
Up with the main kind of, but it was a
big kangaroo.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
That was a terrifying thing, you know, because they would
say like, well, these kangaroos they're a little older, you know,
so they're not gonna be as aggressive, but they're still
very strong. Like, you know, they can hit you, but
you can't hit them.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
It's a video that I showed my three kids last night.
I'm like, guys, watch this, watch this kangaroo and they're like,
what's the kangaro gonna do to him? Daddy? And oh,
it's he's gonna kick him hard. It was pretty It
was funny, but obviously being kicked by kangaroo probably doesn't
feel very well though. Jeff, the first bomb for Glory,
you did the swan tong bomb that is still in
highlight videos today with father James Mitchell in shock seeing

(05:45):
you land on abyss on a table. What will you
think in climbing that, Because you've done so many high
risk moves like that, is there ever a moment when
you're climbing thinking maybe I should just step down a
few you know, runs and jump from here.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
Yeah, that was most definitely the most the scariest one
I've ever done. It was very sketchy, and I didn't
know what was gonna happen. And I looked back down
at the crowd they were watching. The people in the
back were watching the monitor backstage and I could see them.
And then I looked back at where I was about
to jump, and I was like, Okay, this might be it, Jeff,
this might be the end of your career. And it
was terrifying, but fear is part of the fun and

(06:21):
it all worked out and I'm super glad.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
I went for it.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Yes, it's one of those moments that it's still brought
up today. And of course, Matt with you. You won
the TEENA World Championship at bomb from Gloria as well.
Your family was there. Drew McIntyre EC three in the
match as well. Take me through that, because you've been
world champion in e c W, but now you're the
world champion in TNA and your family's there. It's a
huge moment emotionally, what was going through your brain.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
It was exciting. It was cool too because we were
in North Carolina.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
We were a couple hours from our house where we
lived at the Hardy Compound, and to be to have
my dad there was very special to have my firstborn
son there. Very special and it was truly a great moment.
Very honored and very proud of them.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
On Yeah, and of course with Bonfalur are coming up again.
It's October twelve, folks, you get to see Team three
d vers the Hotties one more time. It's it's monumental
for a lot of wrestling fancying this happened one more time,
my childhood coming alive once again. But I wanted to
ask a couple of fun questions. These are kind of
one word answers. I want both of you to answer
them because we never know what our brothers are thinking

(07:24):
in their brain. So here we go. If you could
swap lives with any fictional character for a day, who
would it be?

Speaker 1 (07:32):
Hm, Bigfoot? Yeah, that's wild.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
I would almost I would almost say Dexter because I'm
such an extra fan, but I would. I would have
to do it during his run with New Bloodhen you
didn't kill people for so long?

Speaker 2 (07:50):
I was just gonna say, so, so you want to
kill people? Man? Is that what here? That's that's the
headline coming out of this interview.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
If you could instantly master any skill, what would it be?

Speaker 1 (07:59):
Welding?

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Well, singing yeah cats or dogs, dogs?

Speaker 1 (08:07):
Dogs?

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Do you want your kids to follow in your footsteps
and continue the Hardy lineage.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
If they wish?

Speaker 4 (08:16):
Yeah, it wouldn't be one of the coolest things on
planet Earth to have the first Hardy girl tag team
in pro wrestling.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
Well, I see your TikTok videos Jeff all the time,
and those when you see Jeff Hardy on TikTok doing
dance numbers. Then I see my kids trying to convince me.
I'm like, well, if Jeff's doing it, I got to
do it. How hard is it to be convinced that
you go on TikTok with your kids?

Speaker 1 (08:37):
It's pretty easy, man.

Speaker 4 (08:38):
But I used to be cool dance and now just
feel pretty goofy, you know, trying to keep up with
my daughter.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
But it's fun, man. I love it.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
Well, when I told my wife I was interviewing the
Hardy Boys today, she started doing the Hardy Boys dance,
you know, the give and where does that originate from?

Speaker 4 (08:53):
Michael PSAs man, he used to do like a little
thing like this and he would moon walk and then
tag his partner Jimmy Garb and but it came from
Michael Ways.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
I just used it on the.

Speaker 4 (09:03):
Entrance, but he would do that in the ring, like
during a match, all the time, and that's where it
came from.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
Did you look he looked good in those Janko pants
as well, and those maybe he did. It was surprising
to see how good he did he looking those. Uh,
he committed to the team, that's right. He didn't want
He's like, I'm not gonna go out there and wear
my normal garb, but we're gonna wear this. We're gonna
wear exactly what you guys have. And he didn't do
the dance when he came out. Disappointing. But in two

(09:29):
thousand and three, you guys wrote a book together, and
a lot has happened since two thousand and three. Other
plans for another book.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
We've definitely we've lived life now, We've lived several lives,
it feels like since then, and I think there it
would almost be time for us to write individual books,
just because we've both lived so many lives since then.

Speaker 4 (09:49):
Yeah, I've actually started I got four years worth of
journal and throughout my alcoholism, so I mean I've already
started trying to go back each page and kind of
rite one.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
And it's a huge.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
I might end up needing a little help doing it,
but it's definitely something I want to complete before before
my life is over.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
Well, of course, yeah, a lot has happened since two
thousand and three for both of you growing up, and
so many different ups and downs in your careers. But
you know, I think a book like that would really
help a lot of people because when you guys meet fans,
how often are you hearing fans saying to you, you know,
you helped me get through this tough time, or you
guys helped me get me through me through this Because
I imagine you inspire a lot of people.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
We hear that we are here you, you're in my childhood.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
We hear that so much, it's pretty much a daily thing.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
We hear that almost daily.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Wow. Now with T and A having the Hall of Fame,
who do you believe should go in the Hall of
Fame next? Because we've had Gail Kim, we've had Awesome
Kong Team three D. Who's next on your list?

Speaker 1 (10:48):
Put aj Styles in there? Hey, that's a good. Yeah,
that's great. Actually kind of feels like the heart and
soul of TNA.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
Mean for sure, true, I feel like for a long
time he was mister T and A and it's it's
great to see that. Recently we got to hear the
music and appearance and things of that nature. So, but
with bal for Glory on October twelfth coming out, there
are NXC wrestlers there. And when you were in TNA
before and then now, did you ever, in your wildless
imagination think that the WWE be working with T and

(11:16):
A and other organizations as well.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
Yeah, no, it's it was pretty surprising, but it's very cool.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
I'm glad it's happening for sure.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
And then one last question, what is gonna happen Lowell, Massachusetts,
October twelfth, Bound for Glory coming up? Are you gonna
leave the Tag Team Champions?

Speaker 1 (11:35):
We plan on leaving the Tag Team Champions.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
We love Bully Ray, we love devonn but this is
what has to happen to them.

Speaker 4 (11:42):
We're also gonna love making them. They doing classify themselves
as obsolete absolute at Belfer Gloria is the final deletion.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
Of the Dudleys.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
Beautiful. Well, thank you so much for your time today,
hardy boys. I appreciate it. And always the goats the
professional wrestling tag teams, thanks again for being here in
tancom Media. I'm ce Fall. They're the Houghty Boys. Have
a wonderful day and we'll see you next time. Bye.
