Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hi everybody, and welcome back to the Therapize Bacca Go Pod.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Fix It is now March.
Speaker 1 (00:08):
I wanted to do a bonus episode last month, and
I will Instead of doing it last month, I will
just put it in this month. So basically, this month
you'll get two chapters of Pearl Diver instead of one.
Last month you got one, and I had said maybe
you would get too, so just pushing it, pushing it
to this month. Last month, I ended up having a
(00:30):
really tough time with my heart medication and needing to
adjust my dosage and then needing to adjust to the
new dosage. And I'm still adjusting a bit, but I'm
doing better. Just kind of tired now more than usual.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
But I'm also hoping that that settles.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
Might have to adjust it again and then adjust to
that again, but.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
That's, you know, part of it, So it's fine. I'm
just tired.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
So I wasn't able to keep up with everything as
much last month, but that's okay because I always say that, like, hey,
remember I'm like chronically ill, you know, so timelines with
a grain of salt. I'm pretty happy though, I mean
I still managed to do I still managed to always
(01:26):
do like the baseline of two episodes for the Patreon
two episodes here, So this is the first. So this
so the first episode that gets released like recorded and
released every month for everyone. The public pod is voted
for on the Patreon and the voting winner was Adventures
for Ride chapter three. And then after I had put
(01:49):
that up, I realized that I had already I was
already doing chapter three, and I was like, oops, I
meant chapter four. So chapter four, uh, is the winner
of the poll. So that will be what we're doing today.
We're doing the Adventures of Red Ryan Mako Vobkotski chapter four,
which is issue four.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
Who is Red Riot?
Speaker 1 (02:08):
Yeah, I will again tags the current tags, and I'm
gonna read are as of the status of chapter nine,
so they're not necessarily relevant now, it's just that obviously
can't always remember what tags were added in what chapter,
So as of chapter four, I'm like, tags will not
all apply yet, but they will all apply eventually. Oh
(02:32):
my god, I've read some of the comments that you
guys said. I've given you my aunts. Thank you for
forgiving me. It's gonna it's gonna keep happening. I also
have new glasses, so you know, one would hope that
maybe that means that I will not slip in my
lance as much. Maybe I was maybe I couldn't see properly,
(02:55):
you know, and then maybe I'll slip just as much,
be like, oh okay, it's just me.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
That's you know, and that's life.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
Speaking of the amentess of Red Ride and Back of Ukotski,
we're on chapter nine of twelve on AO three right now.
I took a week and a half is off because
of the medication issues and stuff, and also because just
like the month before, I had like game design stuff
(03:27):
that had like a hard deadline or that initially had
a very hard deadline. I submitted it before the deadline,
and then the deadline got extended. I was like, I'm glad.
I'm glad it got extended for everybody didn't get to finish.
But I was like, okay, I okay, well it's over
so and I'm happy. I'm really happy with the game
that I released. It's really cool. It's probably one of
(03:50):
the coolest I've ever made. It's called We Were One.
It's a card game like it's you can play with
the Dead cards game. I'll put the link if anybody's
curious I'll put the link in the description.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
Let me write down that I want to put the
link in the description because otherwise by.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
The end, well, I hope I can read that later.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
Otherwise by the end of this recording, I will not remember.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
Okay, uh, real quick revisiting the tags, they should be
honestly the same as they were last time I read them, but.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
Just in case, this it's teen and up.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
But it's like, it's like comic It's like if you
can if you've seen like the two thousands, like the
early two thousands Spider Man movies, if you've seen Fantastic four,
the original, not the fucked up, shitty AI new thing
that I'm pretending doesn't exist. And I'm fundamentally against um
(04:46):
so the old the old one. I hate sing the
old one, but you know what I mean, the ones
from like I don't know, so like twosand and five
to six something like that, or if you've seen this,
one's maybe a bit more higher in writing than the
rest of them. But like if you'd seen the movie Daredevil.
If you haven't see the movie Daredevil, you should. Some
of the best comic book villain like adaptations to a
(05:07):
movie that I've ever seen in a comic book movie. Kingpin, Oh,
Michael Clark Duncan rest in peace, but like I.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
He's so.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
Damn and then Bullseye Colin Colin Ferrell's Bullseye is I'm
like obsessed with him. I'm so bebsessed with me. You
have no idea. Sometimes I don't feel well and I
watched Daredevil, but I only watched the scenes like Kingpin
and bulls are in and I don't watch any other
(05:40):
part of the movie, even though like it's also it's fine.
I mean, you have to contend with Jennifer Garner's cgi
eyes and the extremely weird and violent recording between Electra
and Daredevil, which is also fun. But my my personal
favorite flavors is watching Bullseye People's eye and watching Kingpin
(06:03):
be Kingpin.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
So about that. That's like the level of this fic.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
More text to.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
Com I came up with this three hours ago.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
Superman Loves Laney, you kind of superhero red riot, quirkless
investigative reporter Baku Katski. You can have some classic superhero
comic levels of violence, like villain fights, but it's not
like super gross main ship is Kiribaku might add background ships.
I don't know who, but it's always gay. Secret identities,
my Gud's finally happening. I'm using my being contemporary American
(06:34):
comic literature. That is a real degree I have and.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
I stand by it.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
Background shin COMMI, background relationships, background eraser, Mike intin of blood.
In the context of superhero fights and injuries, secret identity,
you'd expect to love triangle between Kiri Kotsky and Red Riot,
but it won't go exactly how you think happy ending
will come. But it is a comic book story, so
there is plot on the way to the happy ending. Also,
the happy ending will lead into a sequel. Weekly updates,
(06:59):
just just for Cuminari. He was right and nobody believed him,
not that he knows he was right. Fun times in
drama Brother Lee rivals Decu and Bacca Goo. Sorry in
the backstory inco passed away when Decu was young. It's
not gone into detail, but like it's there getting together,
slight anks that's appropriate for a classic comic book, sledge
villain free form tag, slight descriptions of drowning because of slime.
(07:22):
Nobody who isn't a villain gets like big time injured,
ever genre appropriate, angst happy ending promised. Technically a villain dies,
but it's not shown as it happens. Oh yeah, I forgot.
I already forgot about that. That's crazy me with.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
The shit I wrote. Oh who wrote this?
Speaker 1 (07:38):
That's so fun? All right? God, it's at thirty nine
thousand words already. I feel very proud of this project.
I feel like, you know, I accept that an inherent
part of starting any project for me and doing anything
and finishing anything is that it will not be the
timeline that I would have been able to keep before
(07:59):
I get so and it would not be the time.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
It will not be the timeline.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
That I like have in my head when I start,
because I am sick in a way that I cannot
like predict, getting in the way of things. But I
think even so, I think I've done and I'm doing
really good, and I'm just I'm excited, I'm happy, I'm
happy with it. Sometimes it stresses me out, but it's
only when something doesn't work. I had to rewrite this chapter.
(08:24):
Whether it's why I took extra long. I was supposed
to just be a week off, but then I looked
at it and I was like, I actually I have
to rewrite this because I need the timeline to be
a little bit different. And so I took what you
would have usually waited a chapter four and I put it.
I'm putting in this chapter that's coming up, so chapter ten,
and then I'm restructuring eleven and twelve to have a
(08:46):
little bit more breathing room. Otherwise I feel like it
would have seemed to be rushed. So that's why it's
taking a little bit longer still to update on AO three.
But yeah, okay, so without further ado, i'f gabbed for
nine minutes. I think that that's you know, at this point,
I just I love gabin to you guys. I don't
think anybody is surprised by this. So The Adventures of
Red Riot and Baku Goo Kotski by Therapist Bakugo, Chapter four,
(09:12):
Issue four, Who.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
Is red Riot? Notes?
Speaker 1 (09:17):
Mind the updated tags? Well, I think we've done that.
Here we go. Kotsky took a deep breath before making
a determined b line down the length of the office,
passing every cubicle until he got back got to the
back offices, where, among other things, their resident meteorologist worked
already made a mistake and I'm wearing new glasses, so
(09:37):
we know that it's just me.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
That's great.
Speaker 1 (09:40):
Of course, everyone at the paper understood that their jobs
as reporters didn't adhere to normal scheduling, but that didn't
comfort Kotsky like it normally would. Kirishima was new at
the paper, which meant he was new to Kotsky. He
didn't know him yet, He didn't know the degree to
which this job meant everything to him, didn't know for
sure to not take personally the way a story can
(10:00):
sweep in and steal the blonde away. Normally this wouldn't
bother Kotsky much?
Speaker 2 (10:06):
Why is happening to me? Sorry, I'm yawning.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
Everyone in his life had so sorry.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
That That's how I introduced that.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
I was yawning. So sorry, that's so weird in my
bad I like I heard, it doesn't happen. I was like,
oh hm, Normally this wouldn't bother Kotsky much. Everyone in
his life had learned that shit one way or another
on their own. But this time Kotsky needed to make
sure Kishima understood, especially after their talk where Katsky had
(10:37):
been given a glimpse at some sort of insecurity or fear.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
The other man seemed to be grappling, with his.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
Grip on the paper bag in his hand tightened involuntarily,
the crinkling louder than a bomb in the quiet, focused atmosphere.
Kotsky fixed his scowl to discourage curious heads turning towards him,
narrowing his eyes at the grin spreading on Danky's face,
who had been just coming out of the dark room.
Thank you, remained silent for the time being, simply winking
(11:03):
at him and continuing with whatever he'd been doing. As
Kotsky approached the last cubicle in the row, damn. Seeing
kioShiMa really didn't seem to be getting old anytime soon,
weather boy, He barked, planting himself a comfortable few feet
away and letting Kiroshima turn around in his swivel chair,
glasses sliding down his nose, and messy bun already featuring
(11:24):
more than one.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
Pen stuck in it.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
It felt like watching the sunrise to see the smile
break on his face as he saw Kotsky Aka go,
I'm glad you're all right. I didn't see you anymore
last night, and when I got home, I realized I
don't have your number, you know, just to check that
you got home, okay, as if I'd ever get got
(11:46):
by some nobody like that teleporting bastard. Kotsky side wanted
to make sure we were good. I'm not gonna apologize
again for doing my job, but I just didn't. But
I didn't want to just leave you there. That brought
you something to make up for it. He managed to
stiffly hold out a bag to Kishima instead of throwing
(12:07):
it and running, and Kiashima accepted it with white eyes.
Oh I didn't expect you didn't have to bring Is
this from the place we went to? Oh my god?
How is there even more meat in this than last night?
Speaker 2 (12:19):
Oh my god?
Speaker 1 (12:21):
All of Kiashi must polite protests died down as he
opened the bag to see a thick, double portion kiro
sub waiting for him. There's sharp canines poking out of
his smile again dray and Kosky's attention once more as
he let his gaze linger for a moment too long.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
Why is this happening?
Speaker 1 (12:36):
I was flitting back to Kiashima's only to see him
already looking back at Koski equal parts shy and amused, mischievous, boldened.
Before Kotsky could try to understand how the other man
could give him such a mixed impression. Kiashuma was speaking again,
you're the best baka go, but really, no hard feelings.
(12:56):
I'm the same way, even if my stories aren't a
flashy or exciting.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
I'm on call too.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
Flashy's overrated, Kotsky found himself saying, and Kirishima chuckled, eyeing
him knowingly. You don't really believe that. Okay, no, he didn't,
but Kotsky shrugged. Okay, sure, but flashy's not everything. Your
work is important and difficult as fuck. Not everyone can
do what you do. If you say you get it,
(13:23):
then you get it. Nothing to add to that. If
you say we're good, then we're good. Karoshima grin, bakugo,
you bought me lunch. I'd say you're my favorite person
in this office right now, Kotsky felt he'd creep up
his face. Kishi must earnest expression as Kishi Mu's earnest
expression and ease caught him off guard.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Yeah, well, I.
Speaker 1 (13:43):
Fucking better be sure she ain't losing any of these
chuckle fucks. He crossed his arms, and Kishima laughed. God
Kotsky wanted to freeze time. He'd never really wanted a
superpower before, not since he was a kid, and superpowers
were a childish fantasy and not a harsh reality about
to the world as he knew it. But the ability
to maybe take time and make it wait, make it
(14:06):
form a pocket around himself and Kiroshima, letting them just breathe, smile,
laugh without interruption for as long as he wanted. But
he couldn't do that, So the phone rang, and the
cubicle next over and their cure workers laughed at something
loudly in another room, and Kiashima's email notifications chimed, and
(14:27):
the world kept spinning. Karoshima pushed up his glasses and
smiled softly at him, and Kotsky felt for a moment
that maybe I should really try to correct without making
those noises. I've never been so aware of them as
I am today. I don't know why. Kiaroshimo pushed up
his glasses and smiled softly at him, and Kotsky felt
(14:47):
for a moment that maybe he'd been thinking the same
thing before dismissing the thought and telling himself mentally to
get a grip. Well, I have to get back to it,
but we're good. Thanks for checking in and for the food,
Kotsky nodded, before slipping cl oh much to Kishima's obvious surprise,
as Kotsky half leaned over where he was sitting to
swipe a pen and paper from his desk, staying leaning
(15:07):
over him as he scrubbled something down. As he scribbled
something down quickly, with Kiaroshimo gon still as a statue
under him, he pulled back and held out a note
as Kishimo blinked at him, blush spreading over his nose.
Kiushima reached out to take it, but Kotsky kept his
hold for a moment, their fingers only sentimeter apart on
the paper. My number in case you want to make
(15:31):
sure I.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
Get home okay sometime.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
He let go over the paper and Kurioshima stared, before
catching himself and tucking the number into his pocket before
awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck. Yeah, uh, thanks,
I'll yeah. Kotsky turned to leave, and immediately a flash
of blonde popped into his field to fision again. Hey
baka go, want to give me your number two so
(15:54):
I can make sure you get home? Okay? Dank He teased,
and Baka Go smacked him upside the back of the
head as he passed. But thank you was just the beginning,
bacco a deep voice drawled from outside his cubicle an
hour later.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
Anything to report, can it? Ibags?
Speaker 1 (16:14):
That's how you coming out of the dark room last week.
I don't think HR has a lot of film to develop,
or do you, Pacca Go shot back, satisfied when Shinzo
made the executive decision to drop the teas immediately and
leave again, Bacca Goo got a copy of those stats
you wanted TOTOOKI found him at lunch, sitting at his
cubicle with his own sandwich and typing away. Bacca Goo
(16:37):
didn't even glance up as he grunted an affirmative, and
a stack of papers was dropped on his desk. I
put my phone number on the top sheet. Since I
hear concern for coworker well being means so much to you,
I'll fucking show you how much your well being means
(16:57):
to me. By the time Kotsky got Pains to come
to Iszawa's office, he was twitching and ready to blow over.
After over half the office had apparently heard about his
interaction with Kiroshima that morning. People here aren't busy enough,
he barked as he walked into Azawa's office. The right
too much fucking time to gossip on their hands. Too
(17:19):
much fucking time to gossip on their hands. What is it?
I could not agree more. Azawa nodded and Baka go
shut the door behind himself. The red Ride articles are good,
but they're distanced. It's still nearly impossible to get a
good photo of the guy that doesn't ripped from security
photo or a security footage or someone shaking phone camera.
We need more, I know. I told him he needed
(17:40):
to talk to people himself too. You spoke to him directly.
Katsky bit his cheek, glancing away before sighing briefly. Last
night off the record, his voice is affected by his powers,
sounds distorted. I caught him after the attack as he
was leaving. Told him he needed to speak to the
people he saved directly, that it would help them accept
(18:01):
him as a hero. He said he didn't want to
scare anyone with his voice, and then he took off.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
I think he's going to.
Speaker 1 (18:06):
Take my advice. Just a gut feeling. As always, gaze
was inscrutable as always, as he stared at Accago like
he was trying to read his mind. That makes this easier.
I want an interview with him from you. Other papers
and news outlets are going to be trying the same thing,
especially when he starts speaking up public.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
If he starts speaking in.
Speaker 1 (18:25):
Public, once everyone knows he can talk, they're going to
want him to talk to them. We broke the story first,
We're getting the first interview. Understood, Katsky nodded, a competitive
a familiar competitive fire igniting inside him.
Speaker 2 (18:38):
Understood, I'll get it done.
Speaker 1 (18:40):
How He had no idea, but that just made the
fire inside him burn hotter. This interview was going to
be groundbreaking, and he'd be damned if he was going
to if it was going to go to someone else.
He stood, nodding at his boss and mentor before turning
to leave. Oh, one more thing, Why is this happening
so much today? As always, slid a thin stack of
(19:00):
papers across his desk, expression unchanging as he took a
sip of his coffee. Kosky frowned in confusion as he
leaned over to read what they said. This couldn't be
another round of line at it, This article was already
read de sent to print. Mother fucker, I don't need
to file a consensual relationship agreement with HR just because
I gave someone my number, especially when I have to
(19:23):
see RHR department your son making heart eyes at our
lead photographer every day. He hissed, leaving the papers on
his desk and storming out, knowing damn well, there wouldn't
be the slightest bemused twinkle in his boss's eye.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
The rest of the day wasn't much more peaceful.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
Kasky spent the rest of his day out of office,
wandering the city with a police scanner, interviewing previous people
would ride it saved, and finally going back to the
bank from last night, scouring the alley for any clues
as to where to find the hero when he wasn't
saving lives. Someone that massive, made entirely seemed of a
bullet proof rock like substance couldn't exactly have a normal
(20:03):
job in such a bustling city. Fuck, what kind of
place was he living in? Most shelters weren't equipped to
deal with superpowered individuals and whatever fallout their powers could create,
and officially they hadn't yet managed to get through any
legislation on shelter specifically for those with powers. Though thinking
about it had Kotsky taking note in his phone and
making it about making that his next article. Beyond the
(20:25):
inner city units surrounding suburbs was just a factory district,
a highly contested nuclear plant, and some untouched land under preserve.
Kotski supposed it wasn't impossible the red Riot was Oh
my god, am secure?
Speaker 2 (20:37):
Shey momost blew his cover.
Speaker 1 (20:40):
Kotsky figured it wasn't impossible there would riot was possibly
living out there in the preserve, though he hoped he wasn't.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
Powers are not.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
He was human and everyone deserves a safe home. Just
because he likely could survive out there, it didn't mean
he should. He looked up to see the sun setting
after hours of fruitless searching, but at least he got
some musical quotes from rescues vouching for it ripe its
heroic spirit. Later that evening, Kotsky walked into his living room,
tipping a window open and turning the volume down on
(21:07):
the news he had running nearly twenty four to seven,
resisting the urge to check his phone for the nth time,
not to see if Kiushima texted him, just to keep
up to date with things, people, people and things. Speaking
of people and things, maybe he'd just get some work done.
He grabbed his laptop and pulled it into his lap,
(21:28):
opening his notes on Red Riot and resolving to go
over them as many times as it took for something
to jump out at him, something that would help him
figure out how to get in contact with the hero
more reliably. His phone chimed as he sat on the couch,
and he nearly startled Queenie off of it. He swiped
it so fast from the coffee table. Is it true?
Are you going to try to interview Red Riot? Flashed
across his screen from an unknown number, before being followed
(21:50):
by this is Kishima by the way, Kotsky let out
a disappointed half. Well, that wasn't exactly what he'd had
in mind when he'd given them man his number. News
traveled faster within their paper than anywhere else on the
fucking planet. Putting his lapped up on the coffee table,
he settled into his couch again, letting Queenie take a
rightful spot on his lap as he texted Kurashuma back.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
Yep, want an autograph or something?
Speaker 1 (22:18):
No, I just I don't know if that's a good idea,
Kurashima texted back. Katsky read the text aloud to himself
again as a frown line between his brows deepened. Why
not don't think I can handle it?
Speaker 2 (22:33):
No, you can.
Speaker 1 (22:34):
I'm sure you can. I just think it seems dangerous.
Nobody knows where he is when he's not fighting villains,
came back a quick reply. Kotsky scoffed hard enough to
earn a disapproving glare from the cat on his lap,
who bumped him in the chest with her head and
protest He scratch bind her ears an apology as he
texted back, investigative journalism. It's in the name, Weatherboy, part
(22:56):
of the job. It took a few minutes to get
a reply back, and when he did, it was so
short in comparison to how long he'd seen the currently
typing icon. He wondered if Kishima had rewritten and deleted
it several times for the time that it had taken.
The content of the message, though, had his initial irritation
dissipating entirely. Sorry, just don't want anything to.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
Happen to you. Fuck, can't be mad about that.
Speaker 1 (23:20):
How Koeny, he asked, as she raised herself to place
her front paws on his chest, chirping in his face
until he put the phone down and scrunched her face
with both hands, the way he knew she liked best.
The rest of the week, Kotski didn't get to see
Kiaoshima much, but they'd been texting more. The morning after
their first awkward conversation, Kotski had texted him that he
was bringing coffee by the office for him and walk
(23:44):
here shimd had been pulled away. He texted Kotski later
that Danky had saved it for him and Saint Kotski
a pictured of himself holding it with a grin in
his cubicle. The whole week was full of near misses
for Kotsky's He was getting steadily more agitated, not because
of Kyoshima, but because of his constant near missus with
Red Riot. It seemed the hero was suddenly more determined
(24:05):
than ever to fully avoid the blood. Every time Kotsky
would rush into the scene of a new villain attack
or a takedown, Red Riot would split the moment he
was done, sometimes shouting at the people in the crowds
nearby to stay safe and be nice, which Kotsky thought
was an admittedly nice touch, but it didn't help him
with his undertaking. Jesus fucking Christ, this better not be
(24:28):
a side effect of the fucking medication.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
The closest he'd gotten was Saturday evening.
Speaker 1 (24:35):
Red Riot was off facing against some superpowered loan sharks
who had been making trouble downtown in a bar, and
Kotsky had raced over, sneaking in the back of the
bar when he'd heard about the scuffle on the police
scanner and arriving just as bakh my God, just as.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
Red Riot was in the middle of a three way fight.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
The guys in question had some sort of stretching ability,
able to make their hands grow rapidly in size to
be used like mallets in a fight, and Red Riot
was dodging blows and meeting them, growing spikier before Kotsky's eyes,
causing the men to cut themselves in his ridges and
giving him an advantage. Just as two decided to join
force and try to corner Red Riot, Kotsky saw the
(25:12):
third back up and pull out a strange looking weapon,
almost like a gun but not quite that Kotski had
never seen before. Without hesitation, he grabbed a bar So,
I'm just realizing I completely forgot the little little plot
point that I dropped there.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
I completely forgot to pick the buck up.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
It was gonna get picked up later, but like, I
completely forgot to address it in the other chapters, My
bad pulled out a strange looking weapon, almost like a
gun but not quite, that Kotski had never seen before.
Without hesitation, he grabbed a bar stool and smashed it
over the back of the guy's head as he fell
to the ground unconscious and quickly, Kotsky kicked the gun
looking thing away from his reach should he wake up.
(25:48):
Outraged at the loss of their partner, the other two
split and Red Riot roared as one of them began
advancing towards Kotsky, who sneered at his approaching opponent and
lunged for the weapon.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
He kicked away.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
Red ryots through a table and his assailant to be
able to rush towards one the one approaching Kotski, but
Kotsky managed to shoot off the weapon right into the attackers. Oversessed.
Oh my god, I like completely left this out.
Speaker 2 (26:10):
This is so oh God.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
Managed to shoot the weapon off right, the attacker's oversized hand,
the man how old, and famsarm.
Speaker 2 (26:19):
This is not funny. I'm just.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
First, I'm so sorry if you hear my stomach garling.
Oh my god, I'm so sorry.
Speaker 2 (26:26):
Oh my god, Oh my god.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
This is why, this is why I should take more
breaks when i'm writing, because when I don't take breaks
and I push myself, what happens is that I write
when I'm supposed to be going to sleep, and then
I'm dead tired, and I forget everything, and then I
have continuity issues. Fuck my life.
Speaker 3 (26:49):
Oh my god, I cannot believe I like totally left
this out. Oh my god, Oh god, thank god I
caught that before publishing this next chapter. Okay, you know
what life of a writer? It's okay.
Speaker 1 (27:00):
The man howled in pain, hand rapidly shrinking again as
he cradled it to himself, and Kosky took this so embarrassing, and.
Speaker 2 (27:06):
Gotsi took the opportunity to Russian and knock him out
with a kick to the head. Okay, letting you go,
letting you go, I.
Speaker 1 (27:20):
Think you go behind you, Gotsi shouted to see the
gates footing and read Riot grew more spikes than Katski
had ever seen on him, and the remaining attacker aimed
a giant hand at his back, only to someone impale
(27:40):
his hand on the spikes along read Riot's back. The
right hissed in discomfort as well, elbowing his attacker in
the face and off of him, knocking him out as well.
For a second, all was quiet, and then Red Riot
rounded on him. Are you trying to get yourself killed?
You're welcome, Kotsky drawled as he caught his breath, lifting
(28:01):
up a press badger on his neck.
Speaker 2 (28:03):
I'm here to interview you, read.
Speaker 1 (28:06):
Riots stared at him, and Kotsky imagined, this is what
incredulity looked like on his face. No, the world deserves
to hear who you are in your own words, Kotsky pushed,
immediately moving to follow Wood right as he headed for
the back exit. Your words have been good enough so far.
Kind of obsessed with me, aren't you, Riot countered, not
stopping and only casting Kotsky a sidelong glance as he
(28:28):
pushed the door open. Kotsky had to start to jog
to keep up with his long strides, but he noted
how Riots suddenly made sure the door didn't hit him,
and now they're not and I'm not.
Speaker 2 (28:39):
Okay. It did look like that Kotzi could admit it
to himself, that he wouldn't admit it out loud.
Speaker 1 (28:44):
I'm not obsessed, You're just you're a hero. I'm just
trying to help. Hero is a heavy word. Can I
quote you on that? No. Riots stopped at the end
of the alley that ended up in and turned to
face Kotsky. No, no que well, no interview, no pictures.
This is off the record, and you. He buried his teeth,
(29:05):
but Kotski remained unflinching, standing his ground. You need to
stay away from me. Go home, write your articles, find
a nice guy, and settle down and stop following me.
I've seen you trying to track me down all week.
Speaker 2 (29:20):
It's too dangerous. Stop.
Speaker 1 (29:24):
Kotzki held his gaze on waveringly unwavering lips curling into
a smug grin. Think about me having a boyfriend a lot?
Speaker 2 (29:32):
Do you right?
Speaker 1 (29:35):
Right? Honest to God, snarled as he pulled away from
Kotski and Kotski let him go stay away from me, fanboy?
Speaker 2 (29:44):
Hey, yeah, Kotsky smirked.
Speaker 1 (29:47):
Okay, he hadn't gotten his interview yet, but he learned
a lot, and he made another discovery sure to.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
Oh my god, that's so embarrassing.
Speaker 4 (29:54):
Help help, no, And he made another discovery.
Speaker 1 (30:09):
That was sure to have ay Isahwa interested, he thought
as he looked down at the strange weapons still in
his hand.
Speaker 4 (30:30):
Oh my god, remembering the way had almost erased the
man's powers.
Speaker 2 (30:43):
Oh my god, I'm like lightheaded.
Speaker 5 (30:50):
He definitely couldn't let the cops get hold of this,
and he definitely needed to find out more about where
these three idiots had gotten it from.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
You don't understand after I finished the chapter. In a minute,
I'll explain why this is so mortifying. Kotsky awoke Sunday night,
or rather extremely early Monday morning to a crack of
lightning and the accompanying clap of thunder and sharp kitty
(31:28):
claws digging into his thigh. Fuck Queenie, it's just as
the words died in his throat as the next flash
of lightning illuminated a silhouette through the window to his balcony.
His apartment was on the fifteenth floor, so he gently
pulled Queenie off of his leg and pressed a soothing
kissed to her forehead as he laid her back on
(31:49):
the bed, he himself sliding out of it as quietly
as possible, grabbing his old tennis racket from under the
bed for lack of a better option. As the storm
raged on outside, he crept into a low cuch out
of his bedroom along the wall through his living room
to the glass balcony door. Racket raised as he peered
around the edge and gasped another flash of lightning, exposing
(32:09):
every inch of the space as he flung open the door,
and suddenly Kotsky found himself face to face with a
hunched over red Riot, face only inches away from the
jagged long teeth and a near lipless, noseless face of
craggy rock with razor sharp edges, eyes staring unblinking at
the blonde. Time for my close up, I guess, Riot
(32:32):
rumbled an unusual breathiness to his voice that out of Kotsky,
blinking in confusion. A sprays of icy rain began hitting him,
and he squinted only to see the next sea. With
the next flash of lightning, a small trail of blood
along the tail along the tiles of his balcony.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
Behind the hero.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
Katzki looked back up and shocked to see Riot reach
over his head to grab at the arch of the doorway,
pulling them even closer. Putting them even closer. This close up,
Cosky realized that truly even his eyes were stonelike, crooked
lines cracking through them from near glowing red pupils. Gonna
(33:10):
let me in, famboy and notes sliding in before the
end of the year. With the last update for twenty
twenty four, nobody noticed. I'm a little late again. I
had a medical issue. I'm okay, see you in twenty
twenty five. Your comments are so sweet they make me
super happy, and I'm so glad you're all enjoying this.
At you so much, thank you for reading. I am
(33:30):
so excited for its is going. PS small note shinn't come.
He are not dating or even fooling around. Hintso's just
really enamored, absolutely enamored with Cuminari, and Cuminari is the
crush on chin So that he has zero clues requited,
even though Shinto is very obsessed with him. And yes,
Shinso says Ewa's son and their hrp lmfao. Everyone and
I mean everyone except Kaminari knows that Chinto was in
(33:52):
love with him, so about why I lost it a
little there, and I could not stop laughing. I am
I was gonna introduce I was like, worried, I've been
worrying for weeks about this chapter. I'm writing right now
to chapter ten and like eleven and twelve because this
is gonna be relevant again. Because I was like, oh god, I.
Speaker 6 (34:12):
Don't think I you know, I didn't introduce it earlier,
And how how do I introduce this like in there
without feeling a little bit too like sudden? And you know,
everybody's gonna be really confused? And I wrote out like
them being very confused by it, et cetera, et cetera.
And the whole time they've not only already seen it,
Kotsky has the gun, where's hit the gun?
Speaker 2 (34:31):
What happened to it?
Speaker 1 (34:31):
What it? I thought, nothing, absolutely nothing, because I completely
forgot about this. I forgot that I'd already included it.
I literally forgot that passed me solved this issue so
that present me wouldn't have to deal with it, but
present me and the more recently passed me forgot that
I did that, And so all of the work that
passed me did.
Speaker 2 (34:48):
It was not in my head, and so I did not.
Speaker 1 (34:51):
Realize that I had already introduced it, and then I
never picked it up again. This is literally chapter four
and up to chapter nine, I did not ment it again.
I did not mention it again. I completely forgot that
I introduced it. Fuck, I'm gonna have to rerectcon stuff now.
Good thing I was rewriting this chapter anyway, you know,
look and everything works out for the best.
Speaker 2 (35:13):
But I that was so.
Speaker 1 (35:17):
Ah, that was that was very funny to me. I'm
sorry about the uh interruptions. Oh my god. Okay. The
other interruption is my stomach growling like so much.
Speaker 2 (35:27):
Oh my god.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
Okay, who light headed? Okay, I need to eat something.
I'm gonna upload this now. I know you guys are
having a good March. I hope you ahead a good
in February and and I'll see you soon with the
next episode and those on the Patreon. I'll see you
even sooner with your first exclusive episode of the month.
Speaker 2 (35:51):
Bye.
