And uh and it's we're on almost the inaugural cruise.
So uh I somehow or another they snuck one in
before I got here.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Okay, we'll let them have that, but today we own it.
How's that?

Speaker 3 (01:58):
Yes, we're here with a large crew. We're here with
the whole family, ten of us.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Yes, that's right, the whole fiddle da Yes, yeah, first

Yeah, And this has just been such a great trip.
I mean, what what a great ship.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Unbelievable.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
It's like I keep getting lost, Yeah, I keep getting lost.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
It's it's easy to do, you know. I I remember
back when there were drive in theaters when you would
drive your car and plug in and and and grab
a speaker from from a pole there with a wire
on it, and there was a big giant Well they
kind of have one here, and it's big enough. It's
like a drive in theater, but you can swim in

(03:19):
front of it. And if you don't want to swim,
you can lolligag. I'm good at lolligagging, and sometimes I
Chili Shelley. But it's just amazing. We're on the Disney
Destiny and it's wow. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
What a great privilege.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
I know.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
It's just been amazing.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
And then kind of boggling.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
We went to the island yesterday the something k.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
It might be an atoll?

Speaker 4 (03:46):
Was it?

Speaker 2 (03:46):
The no bikini a tall?

Speaker 6 (03:48):
It was.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
Look out look out ok at lehouse point, Lookout key Key.

Speaker 4 (03:56):
It's spelt c a y though. Oh fine, that's the Canadian.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
Yeah, that's right. There'll be a quiz later, so take notes.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
In Canada we say k.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Yeah, I do too. Oops.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
But yeah, it was great. We had a little cabana.
That was such a fun time.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Amazing, amazing and amazing.

Speaker 4 (04:19):
The water is like bathwater.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
Yeah, so warm, crystal clear, unbelievable, such a great time.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Can't recommend it highly enough.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
Yeah, so please check out the Disney Destiny. This is
uh gonna be open and by the time this airs
you can you can book your trip.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
True, we'll see you soon. Yes, we'll stick around wait
for you. Hurry, come on, let's.

Speaker 4 (04:44):
Go and on.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
This cruise is obviously the legendary Jim Cummings and we
also have Susan Egan, we have Bill Farmer, we have
Brett Iwin, Caitlyn Brobrock, just so many, so many talented people.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
It's it's really cool.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Only take Donovan. We're here if only.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
Oh, actually, wait a minute, how about you have a seat, sir?

Speaker 6 (05:09):
Yeah, gentlemen, does anybody know we're like a podcast I
could get involved in.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
We're going to cast any moment.

Speaker 6 (05:16):
Now, Okay, awesome like that there's a pod or.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Got to be a pod around we can cast.

Speaker 6 (05:21):
Great to see you.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
Thank you so much for joining us.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Yeah, this is great.

Speaker 6 (05:26):
I think this may be the most beautiful podcast location.
Usually I can somebody's closet. It's hard to beat this
kind of amazing.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Well, we're out of the closet, we're out of the.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
Closet, and we're on the water and we're.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
On the water bag.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
Yes, indeed, and for those of you who don't know
out there, this is the voice of Hercules himself.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
I was watching it.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
I was watching Hercules this morning by the oh yes, yes,
And you were just so talented and we're so honored
to have you join us here.

Speaker 6 (05:59):
So true, Thank you, it's my pleasure. It's kind of
kind of wild to, you know, jump around in front
of a microphone like twenty seven years ago or something
like that, and wasn't that happened? Yeah, and have it create,
I mean, the show.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
I don't know if you did you see of course?

Speaker 2 (06:16):
Of course, yeah, how insane amazing. It was crazy. If
you guys get a chance, you got to go.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Yes, we're talking about the live show that was on
the Disney cruise.

Speaker 4 (06:27):
It's phenomenal. The set design is crazy amazing.

Speaker 6 (06:32):
Yeah, unrelievable projections on the muses dresses.

Speaker 7 (06:37):
I mean, it's just like.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
This, we're going to say something else. I was worried
for a some kind of podcast.

Speaker 7 (06:44):
Hold on, easy, easy, it's a Disney show.

Speaker 6 (06:48):
I'm just talking about the muses, of course, but it
was afraid of kind of mind.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
Well I'll get my mind out of the better here
and we're.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Hey, everybody show how.

Speaker 4 (07:03):
Enjoying this one.

Speaker 6 (07:03):
I've never been on a cruise before, never, so I
was you know, yeah.

Speaker 7 (07:09):
I know it's downhill, I know it really is.

Speaker 6 (07:12):
I mean, uh yeah, it's just sort of uh profoundly,
I mean, to wake up and you sort of look
at the ocean and like it's it's extraordinarily peaceful and itself.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
You know, I've said this before.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
I think and at Walt, God rest his soul. I mean,
my goodness, none of us will be here without him.

Speaker 8 (07:33):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
He always said that it's in the details. The whole thing,
the whole experience, is in the details. You know, you're
walking up to go to Space Mountain or some Disney
ride and you look down and and there's you know,
something written in Kryptonian or or some you know, Swahili
or something, and and it's.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
Like, who thinks of that?

Speaker 4 (07:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (07:57):
I know?

Speaker 1 (07:57):
And it's that that's what really brings said to life
for me.

Speaker 6 (08:01):
And you know, it's not only the design and the
beauty and the shows and the entertainment and the artwork
that's all on the walls, but it's also in the
crew and the people. Like I mean, you know, I'm
best friends with the woman who cleans my room by
the way.

Speaker 8 (08:18):
You know.

Speaker 6 (08:19):
I mean, she's just like the most wonderful woman. I
see her every day. She knows my name, she knows
my kids names. You know, I know her name and
her kids' names. And it's like everyone on board feel
it feels like they care about you, you know what
I mean. It's kind of moving because we're not used to,

(08:41):
you know, walking through the streets in New York City
and not a lot of people act like they are
concerned with you could care less yes, at least I
don't get that. And I'm you know, I just really
am and am touched by the I don't even want
to call service. It's like a humanity on board that

(09:04):
I really am moved by.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
Well, you really do feel like a guest of honor. Yeah,
they make everyone feel like the guest of honor.

Speaker 6 (09:12):
Yeah, and it starts right when you enter the ship.
You know, they say everybody's name. I mean, how cool
is that?

Speaker 8 (09:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (09:19):
Super?

Speaker 2 (09:20):
I think their physic Sorry, yes, I was the other.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
I was a little embarrassed when I walked onto the
ship because the lady goes, do.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
You want me to introduce you to the ship, And
I was like, I'm sorry. She meant like show me around.

Speaker 7 (09:35):
I see.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
I was like, yeah, yes please, and she was like
Disney Destiny, Welcome.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Christ not like that.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Yeah, oh god, and the ship went hi, Chris, you
know it's a Disney ship.

Speaker 6 (09:50):
But Mickey was up there, you know, said hello, Yeah
that was cool man, Yes he did, Yes, he did.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
Mickey's coming up.

Speaker 4 (09:57):
Mickey just it was Mickey, Micky Mickey at least when
I came on.

Speaker 6 (10:01):
Yeah, okay, they might have yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Yeah yeah, yeah, oh man, oh man. So what's keeping
your smile on your face these days? Should we be
looking for anything special?

Speaker 8 (10:10):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (10:10):
Yeah, I'm in a movie called Crime one O one
is coming out in February. It's a heist film. It's
with uh, Mark Ruffalo and Chris Emsworth and all sorts
of great actors. Yeah, he's amazing. Yeah's Mark however cool
you imagine him to be.

Speaker 4 (10:29):
He is.

Speaker 6 (10:29):
I mean, he's just a sweetheart and he's such a
generous actor. He's so much fun, and he you know,
he incredible hulk.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
He didn't hunk out. I mean you didn't take him off.

Speaker 6 (10:43):
He got a little green.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
I was like, sorry, bro, I sorry, easy easy turns
green on you.

Speaker 6 (10:55):
No, No, he's he's a sweetheart and he's such a
good actor. You're just it's amazing. So yeah, it's a
heist movie, and I play this sort of rich, horrible
guy who you want to be heisted from.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
You know, you'd like a terrible rich that's good.

Speaker 6 (11:10):
Yeah, And it's great to be the bad guy, Yeah
it is.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
It's kind of fun.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
Hercules is like the ultimate good guy period, I know.

Speaker 6 (11:16):
Yeah, And so now it's like I haven't played a
really really super sweet and nice guy since basically yeah
kind of, I.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
Mean, yeah, a little bit. Well, I mean, bad guys
are more fun.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
Yeah, I think you know, Peter Pan had a good time,
but Hook was crushing.

Speaker 6 (11:31):
It right right, you know, yeah, yeah, I mean all
your amazing voices, you know, like you you you said,
I believe that, like you know, there's like fifteen you know,
like bad guys to the one Winnie the Pooh, you know,
oh yeah, you know that's right equals out because we
are so wonderful.

Speaker 4 (11:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
If I do, since I do Winnie the Pooh, I
get a free ride on at least a dozen bad guys.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
Still breaking even.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
Yeah, speaking of your new movie, do you prefer it's
a play a hero or a villain?

Speaker 4 (12:01):
Because I know Jim's answer.

Speaker 6 (12:04):
Well, you know, I'll take whatever you got.

Speaker 4 (12:09):
What do you have more fun with?

Speaker 2 (12:10):
Well, I mean.

Speaker 6 (12:12):
It's it's more fun, of course to play the villain.
You know, you can crow your mustache a little bit,
and yeah, it's it's always fun to sort of dip
into the dark side.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
I feel like you get more freedom as a villain, yeah,
you do.

Speaker 6 (12:28):
There's a little pressure if you're playing a good guy. Yeah,
oh my good enough, and you know I have to
be you know, kind and good hearted, and you know,
who the hell can be that way all the time?

Speaker 2 (12:41):
Was a little milk toasty.

Speaker 9 (12:43):
Yeah, you're you're.

Speaker 6 (12:44):
As an actor, you're so scared of being milk toasty
that it adds a little pressure. Whereas when you play
a bad guy, you know there's enough. Yeah, yeah, it
might even be fun to be a bad guy who's
milk toast.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
Oh yeah, yeah, there's no much afraid that one.

Speaker 6 (13:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
Oh man, man, we thank.

Speaker 6 (13:06):
You well, I've got it. I just got to say
before you leave. Listening to you up on stage yesterday,
do Winnie the Pooh, It's it's kind of incredible what
your voice does to the human body. But literally I
physically change, Like I feel like the cells in my

(13:28):
body react differently when I hear your your voice. Goodness,
it's such an extraordinary thing. And I just admire what
you do so much. Your your your genius.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
Wow, the checks in the mail.

Speaker 6 (13:45):
Better be because I'm really a bad guy.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
I never know all that crazy about you. Actually, where's
that money? Probably?

Speaker 4 (13:54):
Great?

Speaker 2 (13:56):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 4 (13:57):
Blessed, and oh there's more, Hey, Brett, come on down, ladies.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
A gentle but Brett, I.

Speaker 4 (14:10):
Applause, Hold the applause.

Speaker 9 (14:14):
Great.

Speaker 5 (14:15):
How are you to see the next place?

Speaker 2 (14:17):
You got here? By the way, thank you.

Speaker 10 (14:19):
You know it's a bit of a fixer upper, but
we're you know, putting it together. It's it's come together
quite nicely.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
I love what you've done with the ocean, thank you.

Speaker 10 (14:27):
Yes, you know, we've been working at that. That color
blue matches my eyes perfectly.

Speaker 4 (14:31):
The intense good to see so far.

Speaker 6 (14:37):
But the voyage has been amazing.

Speaker 10 (14:38):
I mean, this ship is beautiful, all the food is incredible.
The shows have been amazing. I've finally gotten to see
a few things that we've recorded a while ago, but
you know, it's not often that we actually get to
see them out in the public. So that's been amazing.
And uh yeah, I mean we're not done yet, So
tonight is then I'm going to explore a little bit more. Finally,
check out the Haunted Mansion, parlor, a couple of the

(15:00):
other you know, more cozier bars.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
It's so funny to me every time I ride the elevator,
I hear your voice.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
Yes, yeah, yeah, one floor two.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
Yeah, you and Caitlyn, it's I think it's you and
Kaitlyn on both sides.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
Shape.

Speaker 10 (15:18):
Yeah, I thought we would. I thought they'd alternate it
like depending on what floor you got to. But I
didn't realize we got a dedicated elevator each It's like, I.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
Didn't know that.

Speaker 1 (15:27):
Yeah, that must have taken a while. You know, there's
a lot of floors and a lot of hellos, and
a lot of get the hell off the elevator, seriously,
get off.

Speaker 8 (15:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (15:40):
No, it's yeah, I can't remember exactly. I know it
took a while, but this is one of those one
of those you kind of go in and you kind
of zone out hearing.

Speaker 4 (15:50):
Your own voice as Mickey.

Speaker 10 (15:51):
It's somebody asked me that recently. And you know what's
funny is when I first started, like I remember the
first parade I ever saw Disneyland that I was a
part of, and and all I could hear was me.

Speaker 6 (16:00):
I was like, oh, Mickey's a little.

Speaker 10 (16:02):
Bit ruined now and all I hear is myself. But
I've finally gotten to the point of my career where
I'm able to watch a parade or ride the elevator.
I'm like, it's Mickey, I just get to.

Speaker 7 (16:11):
Geek out and fan out.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
I don't.

Speaker 10 (16:13):
I don't think are laments about.

Speaker 4 (16:14):
Do you feel the same way.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
With Yeah, I had that, Yeah, yeah, I had that.
I was all criticism.

Speaker 9 (16:21):
Sure.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
The first time I heard.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
It was oh god, oh god, it just sounds like
me talking, and everybody's going, it really sounds good and
really you sure?

Speaker 5 (16:31):
Oh well yeah, okay, sure cracks up the old And
this woman comes up and Jim getting and.

Speaker 3 (16:42):
Tiger for her and she's like, wow, you're really good
at impressions.

Speaker 5 (16:47):
That's yeah, yeah, that's actually I've gotten that.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
Have you ever gotten that? You know? Oh my god,
you sound just like it. One of all that My.

Speaker 10 (16:58):
Favorite yes you sound What I love is when they
tell me you sound pretty good as compared to what
the guy who really does it. Yeah yeah, me last week, I.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
Don't know, as opposed to the recording you're hearing of me.
Yeah okay, yeah.

Speaker 10 (17:14):
So when people come up, you know, when we do
a lot of conventions together and people come up and
they're like, I'm going to do an impression of who
That really means they're going to do an impression of you.

Speaker 4 (17:23):
It's like, I don't think they realized that, but.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
It's like yeah, yeah, yeah, it's good.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
But that's okay because that means the magic is alive.

Speaker 10 (17:31):
That's right, magic like magic, that's right.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
Yes, we we love the magic. More magic, please waiter?

Speaker 7 (17:39):
Yeah exactly.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
I know we talked about this the last time you
were on the podcast, But is it intimidating when you
first got that role?

Speaker 2 (17:48):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (17:49):
Oh yeah, like yeah, what kind of pressure is that
playing Mickey Mouse? Arguably? Yeah, I mean Mickey Mouse and the.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
The I mean I have always that he is the
I even wrote that down just to make sure he
is the most famous cartoon character of all time.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
Period. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (18:09):
Period.

Speaker 7 (18:10):
It's crazy.

Speaker 10 (18:11):
And to be honest, I try not to think about
that too much because when I first got the role,
it was absolutely intimidating. But to some extent it still
is because the responsibility hasn't Wayne over many years, right, Like,
it's still I want to make sure I'm giving my
best to the character every time, and I want Mickey

(18:31):
to be at his best. So I didn't just think
of a funny story that Bill Farmer mentioned one time
he said that Wayne Allway and said, boy, I wish
I did a voice that not everybody could do, because
everybody loves to do a Mickey impression.

Speaker 6 (18:45):
Yeah, but when you're in the.

Speaker 10 (18:48):
Role and you're you're very aware of the lineage. You know,
let's start with Walt Disney, and I know that Wayne
was told by Jimmy McDonald. Remember, kid, you're only filling
in for the boss. And I say it all the time,
but that's that's my mantra to this day. It's you know,
I'm only filling in for the boss. I think we
all are, like, we're all working to Like you said,
the magic preserved the magic and so it's not lost

(19:10):
on me.

Speaker 4 (19:10):
But you know, you remember the first check you got
from Disney.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
Oh my gosh, for me, that that was like when
I saw Walt Disney Corporation and I got a check
from them, I was like, oh.

Speaker 7 (19:23):
I think I do remember where I was.

Speaker 10 (19:25):
I don't remember like how much it was for, but
I remember thinking I should probably frame this, but I'm
so broke.

Speaker 6 (19:30):
I need to cash.

Speaker 9 (19:31):
Yeah, yeah, I can.

Speaker 4 (19:31):
I can't afford to frame.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
It right now. So you got out your instamatic exactly.

Speaker 10 (19:38):
Yeah, but yeah, it's it's still it's a dream come true,
a dream that I didn't really know I had.

Speaker 4 (19:43):
But I'm so happy to be living so.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
And and you you are You're not from California, where
everybody seems to live once you work for Disney, Yeah, because.

Speaker 10 (19:53):
You were from Well, I actually born and raised in California,
but at the time I was living in Missouri.

Speaker 2 (19:57):
Yeah, that's what I was. Yeah.

Speaker 10 (19:58):
So I was living in Kansas City, Missouri, and auditioned
for Mickey only because a friend of mine worked for
the company and gave me the audition info. So I
kind of took the same journey that Walt made. You know,
he was in Kansas City getting his starting animation, got
on a train at Union Station and Casey and moved
out to Hollywood.

Speaker 4 (20:17):
And now you own a train.

Speaker 10 (20:20):
Now, not only am I riding a train, I'm operating
it and I own it.

Speaker 4 (20:24):
Yes, I hadn't thought about that, Chris. Thank you.

Speaker 10 (20:29):
And I do have a Mickey doll that lives on
the train because it's only fit.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
Yes, that's right.

Speaker 4 (20:34):
Yeah, thank you so much.

Speaker 9 (20:37):
Thank me.

Speaker 7 (20:39):
Guys.

Speaker 6 (20:39):
It's always a blast.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
Yes, Oh that's how it goes, ladies and gentlemen, speaking
of fabulous mice.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
Hi Caitlyn, Hello, Caitlyn, Hi, welcome back.

Speaker 11 (20:54):
Yeah, thanks for having me back.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
Oh my goodness, Well you're you're you know what, I
always love the first two seconds that we meet. I
can all I can hear is Minnie.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
See and there we go.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
And because it's so sweet, and I mean really sweet
that Minie's not far from you, she isn't.

Speaker 11 (21:19):
Like and I didn't even realize that myself until like
kind of it happened one day I worked at Disneyland,
right and hearing many perform ever so beautifully in our
Christmas parade, and she came in and she said her
line and I just said it as well because I
knew it so well. And then a co workers like,
did you know you sound like her? And like I do.

(21:40):
Now I better do something about that.

Speaker 1 (21:42):
Yeah, yes, and you did, and boy, we're all grateful,
thank you, thank you, My goodness.

Speaker 4 (21:48):
We asked Brett this question. What's it like?

Speaker 3 (21:51):
You know, we're on the Disney Destiny Cruise for those
of you watching, and both the elevators on one side
or and another of the ship is making a mini
So what's it like hearing your own voice when you're
riding an elevator?

Speaker 11 (22:06):
I remember we were saying the different decks. We were saying,
does helping does Cassy?

Speaker 4 (22:11):
Yes?

Speaker 11 (22:12):
But it did not escape my notice that Mickey's the
hero elevators and Minny's the villain. I see what maybe
he needs to temper the villainous energy that you feel
when you're getting ready to find your destiny, be it
hades or or who's some other fun stuff like who's

(22:34):
fashionable as much as villainous?

Speaker 2 (22:37):
That's true? Oh well was busy? So the heck she was?

Speaker 11 (22:40):
That's all right?

Speaker 2 (22:41):
Oh man, man, oh man.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
So is this kind of for me even at this
late date, it's a little still dream come truish.

Speaker 11 (22:51):
Yeah, for me. Sometimes it's still like as actors, you know,
nine percent of the time we're told now and that's
part part of it, Like that's not the end all
be all that you love the journey as much as
the end result. But when you get that yes, it's
kind of like, are you sure you're sure.

Speaker 12 (23:08):
It was me?

Speaker 11 (23:09):
You know, you didn't the paper didn't get stuck to
the bottom of someone else, like yeah, just to be
triple sure. And it didn't feel real when I got it,
and sometimes it still doesn't. But then I'll get to
do something amazing, like being here on the Disney Destiny
or visiting friends at D twenty three events or just
good old fashioned Disneyland with pals. And I worked. I

(23:31):
had worked there, so I know about that love and integrity,
and that's right.

Speaker 1 (23:36):
I was thinking that you you did work at Disney.
I did, Yeah, Disneyland, and I mean the idea. I
just think that's the coolest thing in the World's education
at Disneyland.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
And now I work at Disneyland in.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
A different way, slightly different way, a little better, just
a little bit.

Speaker 2 (23:56):
I think someone's had a promotion and I think that's
prett He dug on amazing on a cruise.

Speaker 4 (24:02):
Before I have.

Speaker 11 (24:03):
I was very blessed to visit our friends when we
debuted the Disney Treasure and right after kind of the
World reopened up a few years back. My first ever
Disney cruise was on the Disney Wonder where we did
a little kind of three night Halloween voyage and just
to kind of get our feet wet. And and but
I'd been on cruises before, but never at Disney Cruise,

(24:24):
and it was just different.

Speaker 4 (24:26):
This was my first Tisney.

Speaker 11 (24:27):
To me, it was better. It was fun. It's a
beautiful ship. It's it's that warm, cozy ship. It's our
second one. But and then the themed restaurants. That was
so fun because on other cruise ships sometimes it's like
here's the main dining hall, you have a wonderful time.
But now I could be at Tiana's Palace. Yeah, and
now it could be at Keen Triton's.

Speaker 2 (24:46):
And I was thinking.

Speaker 3 (24:47):
About the same thing last night, Like I was sitting
there at the bar and I'm like, this is the
Sanctum Sanctaorum.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (24:53):
I love Doctor Strange. Yeah, probably my favorite Disney movie.
It's I love Doctor Strange. And it's so cool to
be like in the environment.

Speaker 2 (25:01):
Oh, you know, and they have the window. I mean,
I just love because I'm an old comic book guy.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
Yeah, you know, I remember Steve Didko was the artist
and he designed that window and it was the coolest thing.
And it looked like hieroglyphics in there and it was
circular window.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
Anyway, you guys got to come down. You gotta come.
You have twenty minutes to get here. But it's good stuff.

Speaker 11 (25:25):
Oh and I'm learning so much because I love all
of our Marvel movies. But there's so many little things
that tie into the wealth of knowledge behind our superhero friends.
So my friends, my friends that came with me, like Okay,
who's this character, what's the deal? Who's Electro? And like,
oh well, I hope Spider Man beats him.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
Okay, good, yeah, okay, good word for a minute. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:45):
And we've got a life size black panther down at
the bottom of the steps.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
Gorgeous and it looks really cool.

Speaker 11 (25:51):
And they changed the lighting throughout the day and it
just has this beautiful feel to especially when it's all
the golden orange like around like second Dining. It's beautiful.
The photos turned out amazing.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
Pe Chadwick Poseman, what a great actor. And I love
how they play the movies right outside the pool. I
love how they're just on on the and that is
and Canto was This Morning, and Wish Frozen and Wish
and we.

Speaker 11 (26:18):
Got our subtitles in case the sound of joyful splashing overtakes.
But those screens are crystal clear, yes, like phenomenal, Like
you're in like the biggest movie theater in the world.
It's so fun to rewatch classics in the big screen.
We watched Muppe dress Ryland last night.

Speaker 2 (26:35):
Well you float in the pool, by the way, And.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
They're changing the Disney world. They're changing the.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
Yea that roller coaster, Oh, Splash Mountain, rock and Roll.

Speaker 4 (26:49):
Yeah, they're changing into the Muppets. Yes next year.

Speaker 8 (26:52):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (26:53):
Yes, and what a great roller coaster.

Speaker 7 (26:56):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (26:57):
Did you get to go to Disney World?

Speaker 11 (26:59):
I've been to Disney World a few times. Yes, this trip,
yes I did. We had kind of our greatest hits
tour because I hadn't gone on like cosmic Rewind before
or snow White's Mind Train. It had been so many
years since my last trip that so much of it
was new or turned over, and it's it's fun to
see that progression. Oh, okay in each park or ever,

(27:24):
Oh you can't do that.

Speaker 2 (27:27):
Top three okay, Top.

Speaker 11 (27:28):
Three tried and true Disneyland, Big Thunder Mountain, Yes, Spaceship
Earth and this is a good one. Cosmic Rewind that
was really fun. No clue what was happening the first time?
And then we wrote a second time. I get it now.

(27:50):
And I'll give an honorary mention to the original Journey
into Imagination, the very first one.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (27:57):
You know I really like Gosh, the the Avatar great right,
that is razy and uh and I have to say
tea on us, Yeah, because on accounta because last year
just so happened to I was in the movie.

Speaker 11 (28:15):
And there's a shop outside the raised.

Speaker 2 (28:18):
Berets, Raised bets. Yeah, that's not my that's my favorite shop,
not ride.

Speaker 11 (28:23):
That's fair.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
But but and then the Merry go Round? How's that for?
Milk toast, Ladies and gentlemen?

Speaker 11 (28:30):
Classic up and Down, that's thrilling.

Speaker 3 (28:32):
I have to give a shout out to Guardians of
the Galaxy. I honestly think.

Speaker 4 (28:36):
That's the best roller coaster I've ever ridden in my life. Wow.

Speaker 3 (28:40):
I'm a huge fan of roller coasters, six Flags, everything, Disneyland,
been to Paris, all of them.

Speaker 11 (28:47):
They like their rides and in Paris, yes, guys have
never been to Disneyland Paris.

Speaker 4 (28:53):
It's honestly like.

Speaker 11 (28:55):
Its court like visually, I would say it's.

Speaker 4 (28:57):
Like the most thrilling Disneyland. Yes, that's perfect, the most
thrilling one.

Speaker 3 (29:02):
But I have to give out a shout out to
Disney World Guardians of the Galaxy.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
Ye oh my gosh, such a great ride.

Speaker 4 (29:10):
It just makes you feel so happy.

Speaker 11 (29:12):
It's like and the way they've designed it, like you'd
think you're in one room and like, of course I am.
I came in here. But when we're exiting, Like, wait,
where did all this other stuff come to me? I
don't remember leaving the room? Are we not in the
same empathy?

Speaker 3 (29:26):
Different songs, six different songs, so every time you write it,
it could be a different song.

Speaker 4 (29:32):
You got September?

Speaker 11 (29:33):
September?

Speaker 4 (29:34):
Is that your favorite one? Yeah? We had everybody wants
to rule the world?

Speaker 11 (29:38):
Yea.

Speaker 4 (29:39):
And what's the other one?

Speaker 1 (29:42):
I can't remember it either, Let us comment, let us know,
quick call in now what's that?

Speaker 2 (29:49):
Okay?

Speaker 11 (29:50):
Yeah they put a great red.

Speaker 6 (29:57):
Town.

Speaker 1 (29:58):
Okay, yeah, I won't do that again, and I promise.
Oh that's good. You sounded like Mini.

Speaker 11 (30:04):
I get that a lot.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
Yeah, yeah, a good thing.

Speaker 11 (30:08):
I love to talk like her. Oh gosh, guys, don't shocks.

Speaker 2 (30:14):
Oh man, thank you for coming, my dear, Thank you
so much. Thank you can borrow brock. Ladies and gentlemen,
please have a wonderful day, my darlings.

Speaker 4 (30:25):
Wait, I don't think we did a voice swap the
last time you were on.

Speaker 11 (30:28):
Well, then let's do it.

Speaker 4 (30:29):
Let's do it. How about that, Jim, can you prompt her? Please?

Speaker 2 (30:34):
Sure? Sure, sure sure. I will give you a line
from Winnie the Pooh and you give me a.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
Line and you do the line I give you Pooh's
line in Minnie and then you give me one and
I don't.

Speaker 2 (30:47):
Have to be poop. Okay, Okay. So I hope you're
just a sweet today.

Speaker 11 (30:55):
I hope you are just as sweet as honey today.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
Oh chills, that sounds like something many would say.

Speaker 11 (31:03):
Anyway, that's true. I mean your version is full of
the stuff and fluff.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
And college yea, and very little brain.

Speaker 11 (31:13):
Let's see. How about buttons and boss? What outfit should
I wear today?

Speaker 2 (31:20):
Wow? Buttons and booze? What outfit should I wear today?
It's just such a bother.

Speaker 11 (31:30):
I recommend the red crop top sweater.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
Okay, pants or no optional? Okay, just check it, everybody.

Speaker 11 (31:40):
So much, have a lovely day at sea.

Speaker 2 (31:46):
Yes that's right.

Speaker 1 (31:48):

Oh and look at this Bill Freimer, come on down,
it keeps on coming.

Speaker 2 (32:21):
Yes, indeed, good to see. It's great to see you.
Oh my god, right, wow, my old, my old cartoon mate.

Speaker 13 (32:31):
Oh absolutely, from goof Troop was the first one where
I got ye. And that's what a cash that was.

Speaker 2 (32:37):
That was amazing and we met for the first time.
I'll bet you can't remember.

Speaker 9 (32:41):
I probably can't, but I can.

Speaker 2 (32:43):
Well, i'll give you. I'll give you a hint. I've
always said, the less Perkins, the better.

Speaker 9 (32:48):
Uh huh.

Speaker 2 (32:49):
That was a joke. This is name is a friend
of ours name less Perkins, And I told him that
to his face. But it was.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
At the Roger Rabbit premiere really at that was on
the Disney Studios.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
Yes, and I was bullet number two and I was
a bunch of weasels.

Speaker 1 (33:05):
And they cut all of them out of the show.
But I was still bullet number two, So I got that.

Speaker 13 (33:11):
That's even before I was doing Goofy. I didn't do
Goofy in that movie, but I did background voices.

Speaker 2 (33:15):
Yeah, is that what it was? Yeah, okay, you weren't
even doing Goofy. I didn't know that.

Speaker 9 (33:20):
I didn't. I took over shortly after that.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
Oh okay, but I said, well anyway, you were there. Yeah, yeah,
so you.

Speaker 9 (33:28):
Had an illustrious career. I mean we still do. Pete
is like movies, not Nemesis, but you know, next door
neighbor and he provides the friction.

Speaker 2 (33:37):
Yes, that's a good way to put it.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
Yeah, I mean, because you know, you got to have
a little conflict. Everything can't be peaches and cream. No, no,
I mean even Winnie the Poo has heffalumps and woosels,
so you know there's a inoculation for that now, So
that's true.

Speaker 2 (33:53):
That's true. This is a vaccine. Have you are you back? No,
just kidding.

Speaker 9 (33:58):
I am for healumps, but not news woes.

Speaker 2 (34:02):
Damn.

Speaker 9 (34:03):
Oh that is what it is. That.

Speaker 4 (34:06):
Have you been enjoying your time on the Disney Destiny.

Speaker 13 (34:09):
This this ship is by far, you know, it's just amazing.
And the haunted mansion parlor, the bar is I think
the most incredible bar I've ever been in my life. Yeah,
I mean, and everyone's just been great. It's a short
cruise three three four days, but uh we need a
few more days, we really do.

Speaker 3 (34:29):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, what an amazing cruise.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
Yeah, I plan on hiding in the closet. Yeah, do
we have to get off doing Why don't we just
never find me? No, No, we'll just show up from
time to.

Speaker 2 (34:41):
Weekend a week or two. Name that song, gor, sure,
what that was? Where was the first and what movie
did you first hear it? Whistled? And it was by
Mickey I appropriated that? Well, that was.

Speaker 9 (35:00):
That was Steamboat Willie.

Speaker 12 (35:01):
Yes, I saw the repeat.

Speaker 9 (35:05):
I didn't see it in the theaters.

Speaker 2 (35:06):
Yeah, okay, yeah, a little early. Yeah, my mom didn't
even see it in the God bless her. Well. Yeah,
so how many of these have you done? These cruises?

Speaker 13 (35:19):
They made me a Disney legend in two thousand and nine.
I've been on every Disney Vacation Club member cruise since then.

Speaker 9 (35:26):
Wow, that's so that's about sixteen. I guess once a year.
It's my paid vacation.

Speaker 13 (35:34):
This is the first one that was not a Vacation
Club members cruise, and so it's extra special that way.

Speaker 1 (35:41):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (35:42):
Well, there's boats extra specially. Yeah.

Speaker 9 (35:44):
The first one was interesting.

Speaker 13 (35:45):
That was I think the Disney Magic and I can't
even remember what year that was, but yeah, I remember
Roy Disney was on that and he was like a
little kid because he was in the sailing. He had
a yacht ready, you know, and so he said, oh,
the pilot, the you know, commander was up in the

(36:06):
bridge and he let me steer the ship. And I
looked down and there's like eighty feet of ship in
front of me and there's like eight hundred feet behind me.
And he was like a kid with a new.

Speaker 2 (36:17):
Toy, a very big not a bad toy.

Speaker 9 (36:20):
No, not a bad toy.

Speaker 2 (36:22):
Man.

Speaker 1 (36:22):
Oh man, Well, well when your last name is Disney,
you've got.

Speaker 9 (36:25):
That lot helps. That helps a lot.

Speaker 2 (36:28):
I think, Yeah, that's got to be.

Speaker 3 (36:30):
Man, And you brought your whole family along. I did
have a pleasure of meeting your son today.

Speaker 9 (36:34):
Oh really. Yeah.

Speaker 13 (36:35):
He is my engineer, and thanks to covid Or, we
were all locked down and doing the drum cartoons from home.
And he is an audio engineer as well, so he's
we just kept going and so we're still doing it.

Speaker 4 (36:47):
That's awesome. That's awesome.

Speaker 2 (36:49):
That's nice.

Speaker 4 (36:49):
That's awesome.

Speaker 13 (36:50):
Gas money, yes, And I get to see my son
once in a while, so you know, that's always nice.

Speaker 9 (36:56):
And he stays for dinner, really nice man.

Speaker 4 (36:58):
And his wife is lovely.

Speaker 9 (37:00):
Yeah, she's great. Kaylin.

Speaker 3 (37:02):
Yeah, yeah, And did you did you get to explore
the island at all yesterday?

Speaker 12 (37:08):
Oh?

Speaker 13 (37:09):
Yes, yes, first time on that island Lookout.

Speaker 4 (37:12):
Key and it's a new one, right yeah.

Speaker 9 (37:14):
I mean where do you find these?

Speaker 13 (37:15):
Are they listed in the for sale sign?

Speaker 9 (37:18):
The little thing for sale?

Speaker 13 (37:19):
I mean, how do you find these? But the beach
was absolutely wonderful. Castaway Key is the main one that
I've been to many, many times, and occasionally the ships
will go all over the place. We went to Cozumel,
Mexico not too long ago in one, which was fun.
I'd never been to Cozumel before and that was fun.

(37:39):
So yeah, they're just an adventure in themselves. It is
my vacation every year the last sixteen years.

Speaker 4 (37:46):
And it's so great that you get to do. I
mean not only you, but you all will to bring
family along.

Speaker 13 (37:51):
It's you know, when we record cartoons and everything, we're
usually alone and it's a very lonely existence. I only
see my friends when I go on a cruise like this,
or in a comic con or something like that where
we actually physically have to be there.

Speaker 9 (38:05):
I don't like I like the old way when we
were all in the studio together.

Speaker 2 (38:10):
Absolutely. Well, you know, acting is reacting and.

Speaker 9 (38:14):
That helps to have them you're reacting to to be there.

Speaker 2 (38:17):
Yeah, that's that's part of the deal. It's built right
into the word. You know.

Speaker 4 (38:23):
How about we do a voice swap as well? I know,
I know we did a.

Speaker 14 (38:26):
Lot fun, right, Pete, I don't know how could I
get back to you in about twelve minutes or okay,
got my timer?

Speaker 3 (38:37):
Okay, but okay, let's how about Pete.

Speaker 2 (38:42):
Let's see all right, all right, goof it's like this,
don't let me get up out of this chair.

Speaker 4 (38:52):
It ain't gonna be pretty.

Speaker 12 (38:54):
Okay, Pete, let me tell you like this, don't let
me get up out of the us chair, for it
won't be pretty or will be pretty in like people.

Speaker 2 (39:06):
Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 9 (39:08):
That's close enough.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
That is close enough. All right, now you give me one.

Speaker 9 (39:12):
Okay.

Speaker 13 (39:13):
This is from a movie. We both did, a Goofy movie. Okay,
thirty years old? Oh god, Goofy wakes up. One of
the lines that people love me to quote.

Speaker 12 (39:22):
Is how many cups of sugar does it take to
get to the moon?

Speaker 1 (39:27):
How many cups of sugar does it take to shoot
the moon?

Speaker 2 (39:34):

Speaker 4 (40:33):
No, it wasn't Jason.

Speaker 13 (40:36):

Speaker 4 (40:57):
Do you have a new studio now? So you have that?

Speaker 13 (41:00):
Okay, okay, yeah, I couldn't find the entrance to that one,
but I finally found the parking.

Speaker 4 (41:07):
Well, thank you again so much, Bill, I really appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (41:12):
Oh yes, I don't have okay.

Speaker 3 (41:17):
Oh and look at this, we have another guest joining us.

Speaker 2 (41:24):
Oh look at this?

Speaker 3 (41:26):
No way, So were you behind the black panther in
the lobby?

Speaker 13 (41:33):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (41:33):
In the lobby?

Speaker 7 (41:34):
No, I cannot take credit for that one. O.

Speaker 8 (41:37):
The mural behind the panther in the lobby, that one's mine.

Speaker 3 (41:41):
Yes, yes, So for those of you that don't don't
know Nicholas Smith, legendary and the artist artists, look at this.

Speaker 2 (41:50):
The man behind the black panther. Man, that is so cool.
So how great, Thank you, thank you having me. I'm
glad you. I'm glad you're here. You know.

Speaker 12 (42:02):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (42:03):
It's funny because uh, I've got my grandson here, and
and of course your little son is there, and we
have a little grand niece here, and the two of them,
the three of them are well. Between the niece and
and your son, they were having.

Speaker 2 (42:19):
A bang up time. And he is he is the
cutest little guy.

Speaker 4 (42:22):
Yeah, your son is just a.

Speaker 2 (42:25):
He just can't stop. Yeah.

Speaker 8 (42:27):
I mean he saw your grandkids and he went yeah right,
they were best friends.

Speaker 2 (42:31):
Yeah, yeah, so cute. I could not believe it. And
he's got this little voice that's.

Speaker 1 (42:36):
Up there and a little pitched up there, and and
he's just a ball.

Speaker 2 (42:40):
He must be fun to try and get to bed.

Speaker 8 (42:42):
Oh yeah, yeah, we keep we keep telling him every time,
like we're saying like, don't go up to mister Bill
Farmer and stop stop saying like, do it again, do
it again?

Speaker 2 (42:54):
Wow, that's you know, that's part of the deal.

Speaker 3 (42:57):
Now you've done concept art for Harval and Disney, and
what was that like when you first got that opportunity.

Speaker 4 (43:06):
That must be like just a mind blowing experience.

Speaker 7 (43:10):
It was. It kind of it was like the dream
come true. After the dream come true.

Speaker 8 (43:13):
So I was I was an imagineer for eleven years,
so just sunning theme parks and so I was working
on Avengers Campus, so like a lot of Wakanda stuff there, Shanghai,
Disneyland or whatever, different different parks all over. But then
at some point I was like, I don't think I
want to be an architect for the rest of my life.

(43:33):
I think I just I want to make art. I
want to I want to do illustrations, and so yeah,
so I I over time, you know, I kept running
to Ryan Coogler, so I started working on some.

Speaker 4 (43:45):
Of his What Ryan like, I want to know?

Speaker 8 (43:47):
I so chill and so great. He's just like the guru,
Like he totally trusts everybody on set, all the whole,
the whole you know, cast, the whole family, the whole crew.
He's like run with he He'll send me a script
and say read it and let me know what art
you want to make?

Speaker 7 (44:06):
Wow, don't you have?

Speaker 4 (44:07):
How cool?

Speaker 3 (44:08):
Is?

Speaker 7 (44:08):
Are you going to tell me what art to make?

Speaker 4 (44:10):
Did you see Sinners?

Speaker 7 (44:11):
I was a concept artist person, you're a concept artist?

Speaker 4 (44:15):
What a great movie?

Speaker 7 (44:17):
There is one concept artist on that film?

Speaker 2 (44:19):
Yes?

Speaker 8 (44:20):
Yeah, so I try to you know when for Wakinda Forever,
it's like, what does Seri's lab look like? Uh?

Speaker 7 (44:29):
Ryan's just like make it like you tell us what
it's going.

Speaker 4 (44:32):
To do, and then he just dream dream So cool.

Speaker 2 (44:38):
That's right there. That's the seat you want to be
sitting in.

Speaker 3 (44:40):
When you were growing up, were you was your family
and show business? Did you have aspirations of the show
business or the art world or.

Speaker 7 (44:48):
No, none of that.

Speaker 8 (44:50):
I thought maybe I would be an architect or something,
and I went to Hampton University in Virginia studied architecture.
When I got there, they said that they had a
long history with Disney and this imaginations competition. So entered
that and drove straight to California College. So eleven years
of theme park design and so now it's like, okay,

(45:13):
take all of that, all that that you've done. I've
done a picture book for Black Panther. Take all of
those ideas and make a mural for this ship. And
so so this ship was really I wanted to do, like,
you know, a love layer to Wakanda, you know, Black
Panther in front of the Golden City, just you know,

(45:33):
in Baku Nikiya, all of the warriors of Wakanda basically.
So yeah, so it felt like a continuation of like
a once in a lifetime like all these once in
a lifetime opportunities that just keep happening.

Speaker 6 (45:47):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (45:50):
Yeah, that's that's not a bad resume right there. Keep
having once in a lifetime opportunity. So that's that adds
up to a pretty good lifetime. Yeah, that's beautiful. And
did you Now I always wonder because I thought that
I was going to grow up and be you, but

(46:11):
I'm too old and white.

Speaker 2 (46:14):
But but no. I wanted to be an.

Speaker 1 (46:16):
Artist, and for a brief moment I did make a
decent living doing that. I lived in New Orleans a
long time ago, and I designed and painted Marty Groot
floats and I don't know if you've ever seen those,
but it's not like the Rose Parade.

Speaker 2 (46:28):
It's completely different. Their theme the preay.

Speaker 1 (46:32):
Each parade is called a crew, and it's different, and
it has a theme, you know, and and and so
I thought I died and went to heaven, but that
you know, I could never in a thousand years come
near anything like this.

Speaker 2 (46:46):
I mean, please, I.

Speaker 1 (46:50):
Could probably take a picture of it, but that would
be the closest that could come. Did you always know
when you when you were coming up? I mean, I
know you had a sidetrack to architecture. Yeah, but how
can you be this good and not know that you
were going to do this?

Speaker 8 (47:06):
I feel like like life just kept beating me over
the head, like very gently to say, like this is
what you should be doing, this is your passion. But
I just you know, a lot of you know a
lot of people will try to say, like get a
real job.

Speaker 2 (47:20):
Or a real engineer at them too. Yeah, So I
know those people.

Speaker 8 (47:25):
Yeah, so I thought like I never thought like I
want to be an artist when I grew up. Yeah,
didn't never occurred to me. Wow.

Speaker 2 (47:32):
Yeah, Well my the line I always got was what
do you want to do? Oh? Okay, but what are
you going to do for a living?

Speaker 4 (47:40):
Right?

Speaker 2 (47:40):
It's like, no, that's what I'm going to do for
a living.

Speaker 1 (47:43):
Yeah, maybe not, you know, but.

Speaker 8 (47:48):
One of the coolest things, like when you when that
hobby has becomes your career.

Speaker 2 (47:52):
I've said it one hundred times.

Speaker 4 (47:54):
Yeah, do you ever this is a question for both
of you.

Speaker 3 (47:57):
Do you ever feel like it's almost like a a
detriment to have your hobby become your career.

Speaker 4 (48:07):
I mean, do you ever feel like you do it
too much?

Speaker 12 (48:11):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (48:11):
No, it's kind of ruining the thing that I enjoyed.

Speaker 8 (48:14):
Right because then because you know, there's it becomes like,
you know, the job, and then it sucks all the
life out of the past.

Speaker 3 (48:24):
When it's a hobby, you know, you don't have deadlines,
you don't have you know, all that all that. You know, Michelou,
it can be.

Speaker 8 (48:31):
But for me, I feel like it's helped that So
as soon as I stopped officially being in an imagineer. It's
just the door never closed with Disney. So I have
so many like magical projects that I still do. They
brought me back and had me design a tower for Disneyland,
Downtown Disney and Anaheim.

Speaker 7 (48:53):
It's well, I mean you're an architect, Yeah, I still
I get Still.

Speaker 8 (48:56):
It was the coolest thing because it was one of
those like napkin sketches almost like hey.

Speaker 7 (49:02):
Kidd, and they did it, do this swoopy thing.

Speaker 2 (49:06):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (49:07):
Now there's a famous story out there, a famous story
out there about somebody who did something like that with
the napkin.

Speaker 2 (49:14):
How about.

Speaker 8 (49:17):
Yes, And it's just like I always wanted to be
able to just and oh, there it is.

Speaker 7 (49:24):
So it's been.

Speaker 8 (49:25):
There's still even though it's work and it's still magical.

Speaker 4 (49:29):
That's awesome.

Speaker 2 (49:29):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (49:30):
Well, I think anything that you can imagine, you know,
there's if you can imagine it, you can achieve it.
But if you can imagine it and put it on
a napkin, you can really I mean, it turns into
something real. And I think that that's you know, they
talk about Disney Magic. I'm gonna keep hitting this, but
they talk about Disney magic, and I think part of

(49:50):
that magic is from Walt Disney to you is coming
up with your imagination, putting it down on paper, then boom,
turning it real.

Speaker 2 (50:01):
Now it's out there in the world.

Speaker 7 (50:03):
And with Disney, it's a thing.

Speaker 2 (50:04):
It's there forever, it's there forever.

Speaker 7 (50:07):
I love that.

Speaker 2 (50:08):
Yeah, so cool. Yeah that is. You're part of a
of a lineage, aren't you.

Speaker 7 (50:14):
I'm honored to be part of the Disney family.

Speaker 2 (50:17):
Still Oh me too, me too.

Speaker 7 (50:19):
We're still here so yeah.

Speaker 2 (50:21):
Oh my god.

Speaker 7 (50:21):
They say, once an imagineer, always an imagineer.

Speaker 4 (50:24):
Oh yeah yeah yeah.

Speaker 3 (50:26):
My sister the other day we were at Disney World,
and I really love the engineering behind the rides, and like,
I follow this YouTube channel that you know, explains like
all the technology behind it. And I've always said, like
Disney is an inventor, Like Disney invents technology, you know,

(50:49):
to design, you know.

Speaker 2 (50:51):
They're singular.

Speaker 4 (50:52):
Yeah, but she's like, you should be an imagineer. I
was like, those people are genius. Yeah, you can't just
be one, yeah right.

Speaker 2 (51:01):
Yeah, can I apply?

Speaker 8 (51:03):
Guardians of the Galaxy is actually one of my last
rides that I worked.

Speaker 7 (51:06):
You did that, Yeah, that.

Speaker 4 (51:07):
Was, Oh that's my favorite ride.

Speaker 2 (51:10):
I were just talking about it.

Speaker 7 (51:11):
Yeah, that was. That was a dream project. That was
and now one of my favorite.

Speaker 3 (51:16):
Wait, so can you get more in detail? What what
what's your specific role? So I was designing that ride.

Speaker 8 (51:22):
So I was in the architecture group, So I did
a lot of three D modeling, so basically that so
there there was that building, that existing building, and then
we had that giant ride box behind, so three D
modeling that that ride box, the kind of like bridge
that goes up into the giant box, and then a

(51:42):
little bit of the Q line also, I did a
lot of like Q line designing, and so.

Speaker 3 (51:48):
Like when you're designing a ride, so like what I
noticed when I'm at Disneyland, disney World, et cetera, is
it focuses your attention, you know, like literally the ride
turns to focus your attention. Like that's obviously intentional, right, right.

Speaker 7 (52:06):
I mean that's specifically for for that ride. The thing
that I love about.

Speaker 8 (52:12):
That ride is like it moves you so like you're
you can turn and then you're like you're like grabbing
the earth, you know, as you spin around it, and
it's just.

Speaker 7 (52:23):
So smooth and so smooth. It's crazy how I don't
know and that's.

Speaker 4 (52:27):
The newest Disney ride if I'm not mistaken.

Speaker 7 (52:29):
Yeah, one of the yea of the because that was greatest. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (52:33):
Yeah, that's so cool.

Speaker 7 (52:36):
Man and stuff.

Speaker 2 (52:37):
What an amazing tradition to be a part of. Yeah,
you know, And and it lives forever, you know. That's
that's one of the things I like about it.

Speaker 4 (52:47):
It's yeah, it's forever. I mean, that's I was saying
that the other day, Like the matter horn came out
in the sixth that ride's not going anywhere anytime. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (53:01):
And you know that little cutie pie son of yours, who.

Speaker 1 (53:03):
Could not be any cut folks, he will be taking
his grandkids to see what his daddy did.

Speaker 7 (53:11):
Literally, that's my first time thinking about that. Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 2 (53:15):
Well think about it, you know. I mean that's not
with that. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (53:21):
Well, thank you so much for being here. I really
appreciate it. Thank you, really appreciate it.
