Speaker 1 (00:03):
Everyone mav here. We're just about ready to start the show,
but I'm just confirming a little information that dropped today
before we run with it. Hello, British Government, how may
I help you today? Yeah? Hi, this is Marvi and
the Movie Monster from Tunytown Wrestling, just reaching out to
get the accurate turnstile count for aw All in at
Wembley Stadium a little over a week ago. Oh yes,
(00:23):
what a splendid event. It did so wonderfully. Let's see. Ah. Yes,
the aw event had a capacity crowd of ninety four thousand,
eight hundred and seventy one people in attendance. What that
doesn't sound right and it's definitely not what I heard today. Well,
mister Monster, was it? Might I suggest you check your
(00:44):
sources more often. You're likely getting information from bots controlled
by the evil WWE. Wait, isn't you a government working
with the WWE to bring WrestleMania into the country. Oh
heavens no, why would we ever do that? And we
already have aw all In, the premiere pro wrestling show
of all time. We don't need or want something as
(01:04):
unrefined as WrestleMania in our fair London. It would be
an insult to the queen's memory. You mean like having
Mercedes Monette come out in a golden carriage dressed as
the queen with Corgi's on his side, just before the
two year anniversary of the Queen's death. Oh, that was
just a spot of good fun. And you're being a
negative Nancy boy. You need to be a positive Nancy
(01:25):
boy like most of our citizens. Wait, you're calling your
citizens nancy boys. We have many more pressing calls to take,
so please just tell your audience that the real number
is ninety eight, seven hundred and eighteen as I said. Wait,
but you just said ninety four thousand, eight hundred seventy one. Oh,
my mistake. I had read that wrong. The higher number
(01:47):
is the correct one.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
See I heard it.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
Was actually forty six, four hundred and seventy six. Oh
heavens no. Why that would be nearly half of last
year's totally real attendance number. That would be utterly merely
eating for Tony Kahan, a man who takes more stick
than anyone and is only trying to look out for
real pro wrestling. Wait, Tony, is that you No, No,
(02:11):
of course, Tato, that would be a jolly good row
wouldn't it. No, I'm just a simple British government man
here doing the work of king country and real pro
wrestling time. Cop sucks.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
You take that.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Back, you orange egg scare. Oh boy, Hi Tony. Oh
you want to tell me the real number?
Speaker 2 (02:35):
No? I do not.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
All right, Well, we're gonna talk about it on the
next headlock headlines.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
Oh do we have to?
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (02:43):
Yes? Ah, Now let's get started with Tony Talk Wrestling.
Speaker 4 (03:29):
Up boxing. You got sauble?
Speaker 2 (03:37):
You want to please my trouble?
Speaker 4 (03:45):
Stop rock about the boxing? You talk about the usable
you want to please my boy?
Speaker 1 (04:16):
All right, it is Tuesday night in Tonytown, and you
know what that means. It is time for the fastest
rising uh pro wrestling livestream podcast on the internet.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
Today.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
It is time for Tony Talk Wrestling.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
Folks.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
My name is Marvin and I'm the movie Monster and
sorry no camera for me tonight.
Speaker 5 (04:32):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
We we're having some issues at the house and h
yeah it's I've had no way of conditioning since Saturday.
So yeah, not to give you guys too much info
on boring things that are happening in my life, but yeah,
not just definitely not camera ready today. But you know,
who is camera ready? My good friend and co host,
(04:53):
mister Kevin.
Speaker 5 (04:54):
Apollo, always brother. So I have a quick anecdote for you.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
Oh go ahead please.
Speaker 5 (05:01):
So while we were getting ready to go live on Saturday,
and in between not wanting to watch Miss Rachel, I
was flipping around the YouTube's and I found a cachet
of live feeds, or rather your recordings of live feeds
from eighties cartoons. And I watched an episode of Inspector Gadget.
And in this episode, doctor Claw had gotten gotten Gadget
(05:24):
to go to some jungle somewhere and he hired the
scientist to create a disease and it was uh and
the name of the disease was a jungle fever. And
throughout the entire episode, I.
Speaker 6 (05:37):
Can't wait to give Gadget jungle fever.
Speaker 5 (05:41):
Every time he said, I laughed hysterically like I was,
like I was a twelve year old.
Speaker 6 (05:46):
That is.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
That is a fantastic anecdote and a great way to
start off the show. Folks. Also joining us this week
a good friend, the one and only from maxed Out Media,
the master of Lost Media, the one and only dis Aka,
a w disciplinary committee him not much when.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
keV was talking about finding a feed. I got excited
because my new obsession is watching satellite feeds of early
two thousands WWE TV shows on YouTube. There's a bunch
of them us and it gets you all the dark
matches and in between matches. It's that's some fun stuff. Man,
If you haven't watched any of that, I see something
(06:27):
that you know what.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
I am super thrilled today because joining us back from
the dead, the one and only New Jack.
Speaker 7 (06:37):
What's happened Everybody's Jack?
Speaker 1 (06:43):
No, not this early in the show especially, no awful
to celebrate ten thousand subscribed, ten thousand people on x
that have chosen to follow you. You have chosen to
go on camera tonight, my friend, the first time as people.
Speaker 7 (07:00):
As people can plainly see, I am not the dude
in the Hawaiian shirt, nor am I the gentleman.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (07:07):
You know some of these trolls out, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
Your knew Jack look weirdly like New Jack. They'll say
I'm gonna beat them like they my kids. That was
my favorite New Jack promo I saw that was alive.
But joining us this week, guys, I am super super excited.
We have got a special guest He's been on the
show before, but every time he comes on the show
(07:31):
is even better than the last time he was here.
From the world of he's a columnist for Forbes and
he is the head of pro Wrestling bits on YouTube,
the one and only Alfred kna.
Speaker 6 (07:42):
What's going on, guys, what's this? I hear about jungle fever.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
Apparently Doctor Claw wants to give it to inspect a gadget,
and then he'll be inspecting some gadgets I assume after that.
Speaker 6 (07:55):
Oh yeah, some gadgets with braids. I'll tell you that.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
What a great height, Marv. We're at the cookout. We
made it.
Speaker 6 (08:06):
I love the fact that Awful docks himself in order
to celebrate ten thousand subscribers.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
Also, we had Awful's face on our on his face
is the worst kept secret in the world. We had. Yeah,
we've had it on our our logo for forever. He's
just kind of popping up there, you know, under the bottom.
People probably thought it was new Jack, but you know
it's it was not New Jack. It was Awful all along.
(08:31):
But we've got a couple of super chats to get
before we jump in Colin Taylor for ten dollars, didn't
enunciate well, and my DVR accidentally recorded Bash and Berlin,
a CNN Europe morning show starring Data, Bash and Alex
was still better than the Mimosa Mayhem match. I loved
(08:51):
I love you Colin. You're the best, not just because
you give us money, but because you always say something
clever that makes me laugh. Also, guys, John j Id
nine nine nine check it in for nine ninety nine
says glad you're all here to make sense of all
this bs in wrestling, What do you all think about
NXT's current trajectory? And with Sena back, I know it
probably won't happen we finally get the fabled Scena heel turn.
(09:14):
I think that there's no way in hell you get
that Scena heel turn. It's never gonna happen, nor should
it happen. The next year has got to just be
a celebration of John Cena until until he's done. And
we haven't seen this before in wrestling. I mean, with Flair,
we all knew WrestleMania was the endpoint, you know, but
but they still have the gimmick of like, oh, if
(09:36):
you lose a match, you're foed. But like we didn't
like there was still that whole mystique around it. This
is the first time I think we've ever been like,
oh okay, hey, this is we have one calendar year
of John Cena, like he ends in December. Is this
the first time I think.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
I'm going through my head and I can't. Flair has
to be the clue. Yeah, play is the closest.
Speaker 6 (10:02):
I mean, they're kind of doing it with Brian Danielson,
but that's not really been decided that it's gonna be
a year farewell tour. But yeah, I think this might
be the first of it's kind with John Cena.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
Sana Baron, uh, Brian Danielson again, didn't he? Brian Danielson
was like, oh, I have maybe six months or so,
and the team is like, I'm retiring and nobody cares
about Brian Danielson anymore.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
Well, because Danielson is not actually gonna retire, you know, like, yeah,
I love that my daddy is gonna retire. Oh yeah,
but you don't you want him to go to Japan?
Speaker 2 (10:36):
Don't you want to.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
See the Tokyo Dome? Little girl, No, Dave, No, she doesn't.
She wants to father to walk what do you guys
think about the trajectory of NXT currently, Alfred, what have
you been Have you been keeping up with NXT?
Speaker 8 (10:50):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (10:50):
Absolutely, I love the NXT. I think it's in a
great place right now. Obviously, NXT since its beginning has
had ebbs and flows. We remember great times like the
early days Black and Gold era where it was kind
of like the wild West and it was like the
sing Along Territory where you got the vob villains and
ascension and everybody had their own cool gimmick where the
crowd would get into it. Then you had like the
(11:12):
bright colored era where NXT two point zero Evince took
you know, for we don't have to talk too much
about that. We've had the Black and Gold era, which
was good, and then now I think we're back on
a high period with NXT where I think they're doing
a good job storyline wise. You see obviously a lot
of these wrestlers have deficiency, but you see the promise
there's a lot of super athletes and developmental and this
is going to be like this is the next wave
(11:34):
of what wrestling is going to be. It's gonna be
all these tremendous athletes doing things that we've never seen before.
And also they're going to have this experience mixed in
with storylines, so I think they're doing a good job.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
Yeah, I agree, I agree. I think n XT is
in a great place. I think Sean was the guy
to do it, and if Punk is the next guy
to do it, then I think we're good for quite
a while. And let's see John j D nine nine
nine and for one nine to nine also says Tony
Khan is such a child. I love it too funny.
Glad you guys like it. I'm glad you guys like
the cold opens for these these shows. I thought it
(12:05):
was a nice way to inject a little bit of
everything into the videos. And now we're doing we're doing
daily drops five days, well five days a week at
least of clips from the show, Sandwich between two original
puppet sketches. So tomorrow's is gonna be It's up on
Patreon right now, but it's it's us talking about the
Mercedes Mo neighbor at Bacon match, and it's sandwich between
(12:28):
a sketch between myself and Mercedes Monette calling in to
sing songs off a new album.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
So I like them. I wish they hadn't taken the
place of headlock headlines. But I get why you had
to do it.
Speaker 1 (12:39):
Stop it. Don't even put that evil out into the world.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
It is not.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
It does not because every time I do something different,
every time I try something new, everybody's like, oh, so,
no more headlock headlines. No, this is not instead of
this is an addition to the headlock headlines. Just take
a very look Alpha back me up here. It takes
a very long time to write original scripts and then
shoot them yourself, edit them yourself, project them yourself. But
(13:08):
it takes a there. The headlock headlines alone takes me
about two to three days of work of just working
on nothing else but that.
Speaker 6 (13:15):
So when I don't yeah, it's a grind man. Would
never No, yeah, I know.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
Way too much work for him, Way too much for him.
John John Williams for four ninety. This one's for keV.
He says, Hey, Kevin, how much of Tuney's dad's money
will it take for you to do the job to.
Speaker 3 (13:33):
Orange Cassidy A good question, not a not a lot.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
You've dropped. You've dropped the worst for less.
Speaker 5 (13:41):
Absolutely absolutely, I have put over many and no talent,
had no business being there people for twenty dollars. So yeah,
well I'm good. Yeah, bro, I'm good.
Speaker 1 (13:55):
I don't ask for much dog a handshake, you're buying
your own soda. The BT twenty three for two dollars says,
if number was correct for all in, don't uh don't
see forty k in Texas. Yeah, well, I still think
they'll hit forty k in Texas. We're gonna get to
that in a minute. BT twenty three. I just want
to get to the rest of the super chets and
then we're gonna we're gonna focus in on that. But
(14:17):
Andrey Adams checking in Apollo's comic Con slash Sailor Moon
story is the greatest and most terrifying thing I've ever heard.
Was that on this show? Or was that on Tonytown TV?
Speaker 5 (14:27):
You know, there's another part of that story that I
forgot that I could still tell, And.
Speaker 6 (14:32):
You want to save it?
Speaker 1 (14:32):
You save it for Thursday?
Speaker 5 (14:34):
Yeah, yeah, involved Adam the Black Ranger.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
Has absolutely nothing to do with uh with wrestling, So
we save it for Tony Talk TV. But Andrey, I'm
glad to hear that you were watching over there, so
thank you very much. Man, Really appreciate it. H. Craig Churchill,
I'm seeing Triple six Book of Teeth. But before anyone
thinks that uh that that that Craig is racist, it's
my running joke on the Headlock headlines is that Triple
(15:00):
H thinks every black person his book of t So
Joseph j Alexander for five dollars, Hey Alfred, with Bianca
and Jade being tag champs again, is Triple H still racist?
Speaker 8 (15:12):
Boy?
Speaker 6 (15:12):
Do I love the whole that he took the time
to do the trolling capital not capital capital lowercase. I
will I will dignify this with the responses. I've never
outright said Triple Ah is a racist. I've only said
he struggles booking black talent. And you could see the
dichotomy between him and Sean Michaels, where Sean Michaels is
basically at the cookout every Tuesday, whereas Triple H is
at a pickleball court. So it's two different things for
(15:35):
two different people. But I will say, you know we're
gonna talk about audiency Jones. I'm sure, but I do
think that Triple H was kind of coming around with
this New Day storyline. I thought it was a nothing
storyline for so long, but recently, in recent weeks, the
story they've told between Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston, I
think has kind of got me back and intrigued me.
But yes, it has always been a weakness of Triple
(15:55):
H in terms of booking black talent. And that's fine.
Nobody's saying that he hates black people or anything like that.
It's just a blind spot, like how everybody has blind spots.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
I think that the I think that the winkie face
shows that he was saying it.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
Yeah, of course, of course, but he is far better
at it than Vincent Man was. Yes, yes, yes, well.
Speaker 5 (16:18):
Well Man, Vince was booking the Source Awards.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
So I'm not talking about I'm not I'm not talking
about in terms of the amount of black people that
he is booking. I am talking about the quality of
booking behind those black people.
Speaker 6 (16:35):
The nation.
Speaker 5 (16:36):
The nation when it first started was incredible up til
they you know, the rock lit Mark Henry version.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
I think that I think that I think that Vince
means very heavy into stereotypes, right, and I think pulls
way back on stereotypes, and I think Seawn Michaels is
right in that sweet spot right in that spot where
it's like you do a little bit, just enough to
get over with everybody, but not and not just with everybody,
you know what I mean? Like Triple H tries to
keep this ethnicity out of booking as much as possible,
(17:08):
and uh HBK leans into it a little bit more
and I think he found the sweet spot with it.
Speaker 7 (17:13):
So you would have never gotten somebody you You would
have never got somebody like Jada Parker, for example, Yes,
to be Jada Parker.
Speaker 3 (17:22):
With Vincent Man at the Helm.
Speaker 7 (17:23):
I mean, she is doing a phenomenal job in her character,
in her role as a professional wrestler. I mean, but
it's Jada Parker is what Sasha Banks, Blackie Wostler could
have and should have been.
Speaker 1 (17:45):
A cutting it in cutting out a sorry.
Speaker 6 (17:50):
Yeah, no, I really heard the fact that there's a
spectrum of blackness in n XT. I will say that
you do just get to see black people be themselves.
It doesn't I don't feel like a stereotype. When I
see Trick Williams, that feels like Trick Williams, that's who
he is, you know, he you know, came from the
South and he was an athlete and then He's just
this cool, talking, athletic guy. But then you see somebody
(18:11):
like Keilanie Jordan, who is she was a gymnast, and
she sounds more kind of clean cut or whatnot. Then
you see somebody like Jaden Parker. She sounds like she's
from the hood and she came up as a hood chick.
So you see the different spectrum of blackness, and you
see different ways of being black. And that's all I
ever asked for in terms of how black people are booked.
So I don't think that it's leaning into any stereotypes.
It's just let's just put people on TV and let
(18:32):
them be who they are, and they just happen to
be black.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
I worded it poorly. I don't think I will say
I don't think I meant to say they were leaning
into it, but I think Triple H intentionally avoided it
for a while.
Speaker 6 (18:42):
Yeah, yeah, no, I agree with what you're saying in
terms of NXC though.
Speaker 1 (18:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (18:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (18:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
As a writer, I've always said I always point back
to this thing that George R. Martin said, you know
about Game of Thrones, which was stop asking me when
it's coming out. No, I'm kidding, it is when somebody
asked him about like the the female characters in his
in his books, they like, oh, you write such strong
female characters, They're so great three dimensionally. He goes, Yeah,
I do this really radical thing with female characters. I
(19:09):
write them like their people. And that's really what it
comes down to when you're writing any character, whether whether
they're white, they're black, they're male, the female, they're straight,
the gay, the human beings, and you gotta let them
be human beings, not caricatures. And that's how good characters
are formed. Samurai sam for two dollars, is can we
get a well from Dave Schmeltzer show? Hold on? Well,
(19:38):
there you go a little prolonged one, just because I
didn't usually usually I will like a blow of the
pitch a little bit when I do Dave Smeltzer. But
you know, you guys are getting it unrefined. Producer Beard Wise,
man of the chat Man in the Chat down There, says,
well with out for no I listened to David Bixon, Span.
Speaker 6 (20:00):
Number one source in in cell News.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
Just such an edgelord. Right, So let's get started. I
guess you know what I want to start. I want
to open with the odyssey Jones conversation because it's it's
kind of taken social media by storm. So what happened
was Odyssey Jones's bio was removed from the w B website,
and I guess he was not on Monday Night Raw
and all of a sudden, it was it started to
(20:27):
come out from fight Full that he might have been
released due to domestic abuse issues, which or domestic assault.
I'm not sure if there's really a I'm not sure
if there's if there's a difference between domestic abuse and
domestic assault. But yeah, if true, that's pretty messed up
and good. I don't know if it was recent, if
(20:50):
it was you know, yeah, twenty years ago, we don't know.
And it you know, there was no arrest being there
was no arrest, there was no real report about it
being done. We just kind of have fight Fool's word
for it. And but here's my thing, I don't think
SAP runs with something that damning and potentially libelists if
(21:10):
it's not if he's not getting it from a valuable source. So, Alfred,
what did you think when you saw that?
Speaker 6 (21:16):
Yeah, everybody has their Dan Court. I'm not going to
rush to judgment and say that he did or didn't
do anything like this. I just thought it was very
bizarre when he all of a sudden disappeared in the
middle of a big push. You knew there was a
big story behind it, so much so that I started thinking, well,
maybe this is part of the breakup they're doing, because
Xavier Woods even commented on it on Twitter. They didn't
say his name on TV, but on Twitter, I believe,
(21:38):
you know, I think he said like, it has nothing
to do with me or something like that. So it's
really horrifying if you know, if any of this is true. Obviously,
you know, domestic violence is something that's off that's been
in wrestling now pretty prominently for the past couple of
weeks if you look at the Nicky Bella situation, which
is kind of scary in terms of those allegations. So
I want Honesty to have his dan court. I want
(21:59):
to believe it's not true, but you know, you've got
to let this case play out, and and it's really
become a really big story. So it's unfortunate because I
did think he was kind of the secret ingredient to
this New Day's storyline taking off, and now real life
stuff is getting in the way, So we're gonna see
what's true what's not.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
Yeah, Yeah, I agree, you go ahead. Dis No, I
was just gonna say yeah until I see something, and
it's not. This isn't me saying that I don't believe
reports or that I think he's innocent. This is me
saying that I am not going to say anything definite
about this situation until I see a police report, until
something happens, because there's so much miscommunication and the thing
(22:38):
about him being taken off the roster page. The Wyatts
were taken off the roster page a week ago. Yeah,
I mean you can't. And and Xavier Woods wasn't on
rall last night because he was a Dragon con. So
it's very It's it's always possible that they skip the
New Day stuff for a week because they knew Xavier
wasn't going to be there, so they were saving it
for the season. But now we just don't know, and
(22:59):
to jump on something like that, And like I said,
I'm not gonna take anybody, any specific reporters to task,
but I do know that this is an era where
you are constantly trying to get the early report, you're
trying to break news, you're trying to get that as
fast as possible, and it has become a bit sloppier
in the past few years.
Speaker 1 (23:17):
So if it's if this were melt if this were Meltzer,
I would be one hundred percent on board with what
you're saying. I don't think SAP does that, but.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
He couldn't want to bet.
Speaker 1 (23:27):
You could say what you want about him personally, But
I've always felt that he's he's not always He's not
always rushing to be the first one to the gate.
He's rushing to be the first one who's correct true,
and very often Meltzer will rush to the gate with
something crazy, like we saw in Dave Meltz's worst week
ever a couple of weeks ago, and then SAP will
be the one that corrects him, which makes him look better.
Speaker 2 (23:48):
And part of me having a little bit of doubt
is that SAP even said himself, this has not been
cooperated by WWE. They had no talent has spoken to
him on this matter, so they don't know anything about it.
So he's I received a report about this. I'm looking
more into it. I just don't like the fact that
the internet completely ran with it and now the guy's
guilty before getting anything done right.
Speaker 6 (24:07):
That's what I want to do, and that's what I
don't like seeing. That's the Twitter era.
Speaker 5 (24:11):
Yeah, and we and we've seen WWE is very How
could I talk about this without giving up something I
should be given up. WWE is very cautious about claims
and complaints and arrests. They do their due diligence before
they terminate. They may if something happens, they will make
(24:33):
you disappear, let legal handle it, tell you keep your
mouth shut, and then if they think it's okay, they'll
put you back on. And if not, hey, sorry, we
got to release you. Go over here to rehab yourself.
And if you feel like it gets better and you're
doing better, we can talk in the future because things
like this do get blown up. I mean we saw
(24:54):
you know, listen, this isn't again, This isn't new that
we had Jake at listen and do Cutson not you
know what to years ago, three years ago again. Unfortunately
of the Nikki Bollat situation, we don't have a hundred
clarity on that. I think this is the Internet, uh
and the IWC doing what they do. They're like rabid
dogs in the bone we're blown up. We have no information.
Yet we got nothing. I didn't even know there was
(25:15):
an I. C. Jones issue until like an hour and
a half ago, the UH. And then it's gonna be like, well, yeah,
people pop off of the roster page all the time
because you don't know what they're updating the UH. So
I don't know, and it's one of those like let's
just chill out, see what's happening. If there is no
if there is no if there's no nine one one call,
(25:35):
especially TMZ is a you know as as a uh
you know, is a nefarious organization. They pay people to
give her their nine one one tapes. The So if
there was no nine one one call, I find it
really doubtful that unless it was something horrific, that this
is something that happened in the past. You know, it
could be anything.
Speaker 6 (25:56):
You know.
Speaker 5 (25:56):
I don't know what state he lives in, so you know,
you could be a state like Florida where if someone
makes a phone call the domestic charge is automatic. Like
you just don't know, you know, you just don't know.
So I think everyone needs to be patient, cool out,
let's see what's going on.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
I know a couple got Mark got no, I got
it awful.
Speaker 7 (26:16):
I saw a couple of tweets that actually pinned another
person who had Odyssey Jones real government name, and they
were like, it's the wrong guy. This is somebody else,
you know, And uh, that's how fast And that's how
I guess.
Speaker 3 (26:33):
You know, put it lightly.
Speaker 7 (26:34):
That's how ignorant the internet is as far as like
getting the story out there and getting it wrong.
Speaker 3 (26:40):
But apparently, uh it may be true.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
I don't know, mm hmm, yeah, I mean it certainly might,
you know. At the same time, we we had the
Nicky Bella situation, which obviously we're still getting information about.
But the weirdest thing about the Nicky Bella situation was
Meltzer's report on it. Yeah, because Meltzer felt the need
(27:04):
to point out in his report that Nikki Bella was
very complimentary of the Ae W Wan's division just a
week ago. In what universe is that the right place
or time to try to put over a w I.
Speaker 2 (27:19):
Thought it was photoshop. I had to go back and
check like three times to make sure.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
I had to test. I had to test it so
many times because I was there's no way, there's no
way this is real. This could not possibly be real.
Speaker 5 (27:32):
But that's the stars are not very fond of a W.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
The whole thing was an argument about the quality of
a W.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
I'm oh, I mean my works.
Speaker 6 (27:49):
He starts with wrestling, particularly the ae W first thing.
He just works backwards no matter what it is.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
Yeah, I I cannot fathom the way this man's mind
mind works. I mean with the way that he ran
with you know, falsely, you know, accusing, falsely stating that
Afha had died the whole day before he died. You
know the oh uh, you know, Jacob Fattou and Roman
are never are not going to touch each other yet
and they immediately do oh yeah, just constant. It's the
(28:20):
internal memo, Oh the internal memo that ended about the
post from somebody who doesn't even work for Warner Bros. Alfred.
I got to commend you, buddy, because you epically summed
all of this up on Forbes. We actually read the
article on the show a couple of weeks ago.
Speaker 6 (28:37):
Man, I appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (28:38):
You You you nailed him to the wall on that
one that was pre and you did it without agenda,
You did it without opinion. You just stated the facts,
and the facts damned him, And that's journalism.
Speaker 6 (28:51):
Yeah, that wouldn't have been able to be published if
it wasn't just you know the facts, you know the
color I kind of did a similar thing on Progests
and Bits, but there's more jokes and more levity there.
But with the Forbes article, I'm just laying out this
is what Dave has done, this is what he's gotten wrong,
and it's just undeniable, even down to the fact that
he got a segment between the Rock and Triple H
confused from ten years ago when he was reporting on
(29:13):
it in the newsletter as if it had happened at
the press conference like this man like, I don't want
to make light of this, but I do think that
he might be developing early signs of dementia.
Speaker 1 (29:22):
It's very possible. I mean, oh, I'm pulling up the
article right I'm pulling up the article right now, just
because I want people to be able to see, you know,
where it is and the So yeah, this was this
was Alfred's article, Dave Meltz's internal memo gaff caps a
week of faulty reporting. So I mean, yeah, it's all
right here, and you sum it up so perfectly. I
(29:44):
was very very impressed with you know, the way the
way you just got everything perfect in this in this
article because I appreciate that, because it was just such
a weird Uh. Of course, it was just such a weird,
weird thing. Speaking of weird weird things, did you guys
see that gift or video that that popped up recently
of Dave Meltzer like interacting with Kenny Omega on a
(30:06):
wrestling show and like reacting the way a baby reacts
when they when they say blues come on the TV.
Speaker 2 (30:15):
I've never seen a baby seek out their tongue like that.
Speaker 1 (30:17):
To be fair, it was the weirdest and like everyone's like,
who oh, you gonna you're gonna like get on the
guy for being a fan. No, he's a professional journalist
who covers these people and grades them. It's supposed to
be an unbiased way. You can't tell me that that's
unbiased when you saw that.
Speaker 6 (30:39):
Yeah, And it's funny that footage, or at least the
part of him like waving his hands, that's been out
for years, Like, but I've never seen the full footage,
so I think it was from like a DVD from
back in the day. And they are able to get
like the full clip, but that whole clip of him,
just like Kenny, Omega just kind of says, hey, the
bias is alive and real, and Dave's out there giggling
like a little schoolgirl.
Speaker 2 (31:00):
It was ridiculous. Mm hmmm mm hmmm.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
Oh I found it. I'm gonna share it real quick.
This is uh we share from our our buddy uh
film Marx or Pro Wrestle Times was the one that
first shared it. But yeah, look at this. So here's
Omega the first time, the man that made.
Speaker 5 (31:21):
Six stars and made six quarters.
Speaker 1 (31:24):
Look at them, look at up thing.
Speaker 5 (31:28):
Just to show everyone that the bias is alive and real.
Speaker 1 (31:34):
That that is, that is not how that is not
how normal human beings react to other normal human beings.
It's just not so so weird. I mean yes, the
tongue thing, though, is absolutely like it really makes me
think there's some kind of autistic spectrum disorder. I'm not
(31:57):
gonna diagnose him, but like it, it's all pretty like textbook. Uh,
it would make a lot of sense. I don't know, man,
he is just out of control. His his his credibility
is tanked.
Speaker 6 (32:10):
He is just.
Speaker 1 (32:12):
A laughing stock. It's what Bishop says, he's a clown.
Speaker 2 (32:16):
And by the way, let's make it very clear, saying
that he's on he might be on the spectrum is
not an insult in a way because people see.
Speaker 4 (32:23):
No.
Speaker 2 (32:23):
Of course, my son Max, who is on here all
the time, is on the spectrum, and there's nothing wrong
with it. There's benefits to it. But that's just an
observation that we're noticing.
Speaker 5 (32:33):
So you know what's gonna happen now, because you guys
put this out in the air, He's gonna pop up
a TikTok in three weeks and self diagnose himself. I
used to be obsessed with star ratings, but I just
found out that I'm actually autistic.
Speaker 6 (32:50):
Oh no, I wouldn't be surprised. And to this is
point like being on the spectrum in his way, Like
one of the reasons I would believe that is because
of how productive he is with that Wrestling Observatives letter.
I mean, if you don't know, he recently went to
London and came back, had like two days to put
together the newsletter, and I will say somewhat impressively, he
did put the whole entire thing together in the span
(33:11):
of two days. And that just takes like an insane
level of focus, which that happens with autistic people. It's
just the only thing that we need to see is
that Wrestling Observer newsletter logo would turn into a train.
Then I would be certain that.
Speaker 5 (33:30):
His level of production, honestly, I think has been part
to his downfall. Right, he has so much data, so
much content to crank out, that he actually doesn't have
time to vetit. And then you couple that with, you
know when when aw first kind of became a thing,
you know, I mean, Tony's a wonder boy and all
that stuff, and you're like, bro, he hasn't done anything.
Speaker 6 (33:51):
How's he?
Speaker 1 (33:52):
How is he?
Speaker 5 (33:52):
How's he a wunderkin? Like what are you talking about?
Like you just it just nothing. He was doing past,
past the test. And now every time he makes a mistake,
you gotta pounce, you gotta jump on it. You know,
he doesn't help himself and he doesn't endear himself to anybody,
especially because he well he still has a remarkable amount
of time to respond to almost every single person about
(34:15):
whatever it is that comes across his plate. So it's
it is fascinating. I I wouldn't be shocked that there's
some kind of mania, not so much but just mania
that drives him.
Speaker 1 (34:27):
Well, you know, for a while, I've actually been playing
with the idea of putting a like a floppy like
red tongue in the in the sock puppet's mouth that
would just like fly all over the place, like like
hush like hush Puppy from Lamb Chop that just like
flops all over the place where he talks. But then
I'm like, this might actually be wrong with the guy,
Like I it's so weird, but I think I'm gonna
(34:50):
do it because it's too good.
Speaker 5 (34:52):
The obser read along.
Speaker 2 (34:56):
It's Meltzer's star along, but the uh okay.
Speaker 1 (35:01):
So, speaking of things that people lie about, the turnstile
numbers were revealed today for ae W. Wall In. Now
Meltzer would report it. I believe a while back that
the numbers were somewhere around what did he say, fifty
six or fifty eight thousand. People in that are like, oh,
it wasn't.
Speaker 2 (35:21):
It wasn't.
Speaker 1 (35:21):
No, Meltzer was saying Melcher. Meltzer was throwing that number
around because he was saying that Tony shouldn't be shouldn't
be embarrassed by it.
Speaker 2 (35:27):
It was right because but it was it was Wressell
Tick's number. They were the ones who reported the number.
Meltzer parroted it. There were some other people that brought
it up to sixty thousand somehow, which I didn't. So
I'm gonna give him that that wasn't the case.
Speaker 1 (35:44):
No, as reported and by the way, has reported by
Brandon Thurston of Wressell Nomics, which the friend you know, good, Yeah,
the friend, big friend of the show, a big friend
of people on the show.
Speaker 2 (35:59):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (36:00):
The turnstile count for aew all in for aw All
twenty twenty four was forty six thousand, four hundred and
seventy six we've confirmed, indicating the number of tickets used
for admission. Russell Ticks's last estimate of tickets to strip
made it was fifty three thousand, three hundred and eighty five,
which are sales and comps. Over fifty thousand tickets were
sold according to Tony kN last week, So either Tony
(36:23):
con lined or British you know, ticket scalpers had a
very hard time turning these tickets around.
Speaker 5 (36:33):
Oh see that number again, it was.
Speaker 1 (36:38):
Forty six thousand, four hundred and seventy six.
Speaker 2 (36:42):
Wow. Yeah, there's also a third option, which is that
a lot of people had to buy two seats because
they weren't small enough to have only one.
Speaker 1 (36:51):
They had to take up to many of the you know,
with these aw shows, because the fans feel like they're
pot of some kind of movement, I feel like they'll
buy tickets and then not go not you buy tickets
just to support, But I mean American fans could have
bought tickets to go with the for the show in
the UK. It's not like it was, you know, specifically
(37:13):
just for people in the UK. But still, I mean,
if you want to look at the numbers from last year,
I mean, seventy something thousand was the real number and
eighty something thousand was his fake number that will Ausprey
then branded onto his flesh. But guys, that's almost like
they lost so many people from last year. And I
don't want to hear that it's the Taylor Swift stage.
(37:33):
Taylor Swift packed ninety thousand people into there.
Speaker 6 (37:36):
Yeah it was.
Speaker 1 (37:38):
That's the most ridiculous argument. And you had plenty of
time to remove Taylor Swift stage. Instead, they like used
it and they used it as part of their set
and then They're like, oh, this is perfect. Now we
can blame the low ticket sales on this too. There
was I knew there was no way that was fifty
four thousand people in that in that arena. When I
was watching that show, there were too many tops. There
(37:58):
were so many empty seats that were red seats everywhere. Guys,
is Tony lying or or did the British scalpers have
a bad time or did Tony buy them himself? Awful wrestling?
I feel like you've got an opinion on this.
Speaker 6 (38:15):
He's dead.
Speaker 1 (38:16):
I would love to I would love to hear it.
But you're frozen. You're frozen in beauty.
Speaker 5 (38:21):
His feet has been that.
Speaker 3 (38:24):
How about now there you are?
Speaker 1 (38:25):
But now y'are?
Speaker 3 (38:26):
Yeah, listen, he didn't.
Speaker 7 (38:28):
I don't know if he bought ten thousand tickets, but
I do know he lied about the number and said
that they sold fifty thousand tickets. So I think that's
where all the other pundits got their number from, from
Tony Conan himself. Let me tell you something, there are
a lot of people that were coping going you know,
(38:48):
it's still a phenomenal number. Yeah, okay, how about I
give you how about you have eighty thousand dollars and
you know, I take away twenty six thousand dollars. Is
that's still phenomenal, know what I mean? Like, come on now,
this is it's a terrible number. It's a downgrade from
last year.
Speaker 1 (39:06):
It had.
Speaker 7 (39:08):
Good business, is you know, scaling, bringing bringing, you know,
an attendance and the number and the revenue, and.
Speaker 5 (39:18):
It's not.
Speaker 1 (39:21):
You don't you don't want to see attenuation in business
year over year. And you're gonna make if he had
run a different building in a different part of the world,
in just it was a much different show than last year.
Nobody would have made the comparison because you don't compare
what WrestleMania one year to what WrestleMania does the next year.
But he made it a point to run around the
same time of year in the same exact building. And
(39:44):
what happened with what happens with his Golden Boy, Well.
Speaker 5 (39:48):
This is what happened when delusion crashes into reality. Last year,
the UK had I can't say it enough. The UK
had some of the most restrictive and damning COVID laws.
You couldn't fart without being potentially going to jail. And
they had nothing to do for two and a half years.
(40:12):
They don't get big sporting events in Europe like how
we have it here. They would have gone to anything, Marv.
You could have shown up with the meltzer puppet on
your hand and you would and would have gotten at
least eighty thousand people in that arena. So we're going
to be back because.
Speaker 6 (40:30):
And that it was.
Speaker 5 (40:31):
We didn't care about this garbage last year. We're not
dropping money for it this year. And they and they
got smacked for it. The I don't You're only a
five year old company. There's no reason that anybody with
you could have gotten your business degree from from from
(40:51):
from from from acting university. For God's sakes, you should
you should understand that your company should not be in
a trenchman phase. They should be They should be experiencing
robust growth for a minimum of the next three years
and then maybe level off while they try to get
a feel for it. The w TB is doing record
(41:13):
breaking numbers, the uh TNA is starting to see growth.
MLW has seen a little bit of growth. Everybody is
experiencing something that vaguely resembles an upward trend. This company
is withering in front of our very eyes and they
just want to keep on keeping on going. Everything's fine.
(41:34):
Nothing to see here, like Leslie Nielson a naked gun
when the fireworks factory is blown.
Speaker 1 (41:38):
Up, you know. And I will point out Neil Biggs
and said there were two sold out FA Cups before all,
in which you know, they do get some large sporting eventes,
but wrestling. They don't get large wrestling events there. And
I think that's if you were a wrestling fan in
the UK, you wanted to go to this because.
Speaker 5 (42:00):
You know it was I'm sorry, in the States we
have doesn't matter really where you are. You have within
probably two miles with a two hour driving radius, there
are multiple things to do every night in this country
all year round that is either a major sporting event,
(42:22):
a major concert, whatever it is. They don't have that
that way in Europe, so when things come around it
is a big deal. And then again soccer or football
football is football in Europe.
Speaker 8 (42:34):
You know.
Speaker 5 (42:35):
It took the place of the Bloody Crusades, so yes,
of course people are going to that instead of going
to wrestling.
Speaker 2 (42:43):
I mean, to be fair, the only big thing I
have going on on me is Barry Manilow. But that's
another you're going right, I'm thinking it's his last tour man,
last time we get a shot, so.
Speaker 3 (42:57):
You have to I have a question.
Speaker 1 (42:59):
Maybe you know, maybe he'll bring you on stage and
be like.
Speaker 2 (43:02):
Oh, disciplinary you came and you gave without.
Speaker 1 (43:06):
Take very excuse sing pretty good, Barry.
Speaker 6 (43:10):
I'm very.
Speaker 1 (43:12):
Awful what you say.
Speaker 7 (43:14):
Do we know about the promotional tactics that were used
before all In? I know we got a lot of
information about that last year, but did they do any
you know, last year they were talking about, Hey, they've
got them on the double debt, they've got a bus.
There wasn't too much average last year. How about this year?
Was there a lot of promotion in London?
Speaker 3 (43:35):
For all In? Do we know anything about that?
Speaker 6 (43:38):
I do know about AW is that they're very bare
bones when it comes to their pr and their promotion.
I mean, well, yeah, all saw them try to sell
Hamburgers with their tickets allegedly one year. But they're really
obviously they're not on the level of WW. But I
would say even they were not even on the level
of like a WCW in their prime in terms of
them getting the promotion together. So I don't think I'm sure,
(44:00):
there was like posters being posted and whatnot, and they
did what they could on social media, but in terms
of promoting their biggest event of the year, it was very.
Speaker 2 (44:07):
Bare bones Tony. Tony did the thing where he had
his soccer teams wear aw jerseys and say that they
are now sponsored by ae W. I saw that, But
everything else I saw was focused on Texas because they
made that Texas all an announcement and just went full
bor on that. It's like they gave up on the
UK once they started in Texas. Souh.
Speaker 1 (44:28):
So they're saying that MJF was on some of the
UK talk shows, Yeah, he.
Speaker 6 (44:34):
Dropped my name on one of them in fact, so
you know, my name tells you how bad the promotion was.
Speaker 1 (44:42):
In what in what regard did he mention your name?
Speaker 6 (44:45):
He was He was on I think it was Russell
Talk and he said something about the fast National number,
because you know they get mad when the fast National
number leaks. He intention I thought it was very entertaining.
I loved it. I love being mentioned. He intentionally bosched
my name. He says, for whatever, I'll send.
Speaker 1 (45:02):
You the c ah So he got racist about it.
Speaker 6 (45:05):
There you go. I didn't say all that, all right, yeah.
Speaker 1 (45:15):
Oh go ahead?
Speaker 2 (45:15):
What uh And it looks like Awful got his name
dropped over on Fightful today.
Speaker 1 (45:21):
What did Yeah?
Speaker 2 (45:24):
Apparently andrews Aerian was going off on according to our chat,
and we don't, we don't.
Speaker 6 (45:31):
We don't.
Speaker 3 (45:31):
We don't need that to me in the back chat
my friend.
Speaker 1 (45:34):
Okay, yeah, yeah, Awful can handle that on his on
his ten thousand followers Twitter. All right, so the let
let's let's move on here. I gotta get to some
super chats they have been building up and uh yeah,
I gotta I gotta get these. So hold on, let's see.
(45:57):
Uh Daniel Flores for a dollar ninety nine, says Kevin
Apollo versus Keith Lee.
Speaker 2 (46:03):
Okay, I put my I put my money on the
same weight.
Speaker 1 (46:08):
I think he's got to outweigh you. By now, I
mean he has blown up like a balloon. His his
his his his.
Speaker 2 (46:16):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (46:16):
He is one of the people who suffered very hard
from long COVID the well you know, yeah, but he's
also he's and then he went and had his soul. Yeah,
he's also suffered hard. Yeah, he's suffered hard from long
Tony Booking.
Speaker 1 (46:34):
Where you sit at home from you know what with
long COVID and long Tony booking, you sit at home
for the same amount of time. So funny.
Speaker 3 (46:42):
Yeah, he thought about quarantine Chris Connor from Last Call Podcast.
Speaker 1 (46:48):
For five dollars, Does Bobby Lashley end up in TNA
with m VP and in twenty twenty five will TNA
signed more talent and put more money into the product
after the success this year? So I actually might have
some insight And for you guys on this one, I
don't claim to be a journalist, but I do have
my people that talk to me. I have heard. I
have heard that First of all, Shane McMahon is a
(47:11):
lock for AW. It's happening. It's happening. He's gonna be
He's gonna be running a a stable of former WWE
guys to do a takeover angle of not not not
to be confused with the takeover angle that the young
Bucks have been doing for the last several months that flopped. Yes,
(47:34):
but one of the things that I'm hearing is that
Bobby Lashley and m VP will be a part of
Shane McMahon's circle in AW. Look, at the end of
the day, if I was Tony Kahan and I could
get my hands on a McMahon. That's one hundred percent
the angle that I'm booking, because that's that's the It
just matters. It's the thing that's terrible. The thing that's
(47:56):
terrible is that he's already been doing though. We're taking
over angle with the bus for months and nobody cares.
So now you're gonna just redoal with Shane. And I
don't know. I think I think it's gonna be part
of the Moxley thing.
Speaker 2 (48:08):
Yeah, I still don't think it's gonna be I said
this on Sunday. I don't think it's gonna be WW.
But I do think it's possible with m m a
because just because Maria Shariffe is in there, that her
being it doesn't have.
Speaker 1 (48:20):
To be it doesn't have to be all w W guys.
Speaker 2 (48:23):
But if you're gonna bringing Shane, why are you gonna
have the second person be someone who's not in w
W E if it's gonna be a WW, that's true,
I guess all the time. I mean, I must say
it's impossible. I'm just saying what I'm you know.
Speaker 5 (48:34):
My I don't know why you would use her after
the you know me.
Speaker 2 (48:38):
I don't know why you use your know me. You
know what though, Marv, you know what though? You know
who else is out there and who said that she'd
be willing to wrestle a part time schedule and used
to be in w W E and his friends with
her is Ronda Rousey. So maybe it's possible that she's
part of this and that part of her thing about
coming in was that she had to be part of
it too.
Speaker 1 (48:59):
That's possible. I could see that, you know, That's that's
definitely possible. I don't know, but I mean when I when,
I just can't wait for the hypocrisy of everybody being like, well,
Triple H and Stephanie knew all about what Vince McMahon
was doing, but Shane clearly Shane was the good one
and didn't know anything. That's what you know. The fact
that they're going to allow Shane to walk in the
door and give them the heroes, well they would. They
(49:20):
would welcome Steph like that too, if Steph walked in there.
Speaker 2 (49:23):
Absolutely.
Speaker 1 (49:24):
I mean, look, I think Thanksgiving might be a little
awkward in the McMahon household, well more awkward than it
would be with the Vince being there, but with Shane
working for the competition.
Speaker 4 (49:34):
But you know.
Speaker 1 (49:36):
The uh you know Shane by the way, isn't it
kind of weird that like Shane McMahon has spawned like
the next generation of NFL players, Like all his kids
are like these elite athletes, right, yeah, yeah, his son
the yeah, absolutely.
Speaker 6 (49:56):
Part of the deal is for his sons to come
in and be wrestlers. If it doesn't work out with
the end.
Speaker 2 (50:00):
Well, it's gonna be really funny when Shane McMahon is
working in uh a a W for Tony and his
kids are on developmental deals and w W.
Speaker 1 (50:10):
I was about to say, there's no way that Shane's
kids wouldn't get immediate developmental deals.
Speaker 7 (50:16):
Yeah, what would compel Shane to become a part of
a e W Seriously.
Speaker 2 (50:22):
Like because because triple As won't let him wrestle and
Tony will that's.
Speaker 1 (50:28):
I'm not sure.
Speaker 5 (50:30):
Shane is Shane. Shane has always kind of proven himself
to be a fan of everything else that's going on.
So you give it, you know, the you stick it
to everybody else who uh pushed you out the door,
you know, and didn't give you a moment of glory.
But at the same time too, you know how much
how much room is there to make wrestling history. There's
(50:53):
a whole opportunity. I'm sure there has to be some
kind of a back end deal because why he why
would he bother wasting his time? Like you said, you
know he sparneth to not do this for for nothing,
and how much you.
Speaker 2 (51:09):
Know he's also he's also fifty four years old.
Speaker 6 (51:13):
Yes, this is big. I'm gonna play really quickly. This
idea represents everything that's wrong with AEW and everything AAW
does not need right now. Older stars, stars from the past.
Stars were made in other companies that did not come
from ae W and x w B stars during a
time where ww's hot. So you run the risk of
just like the nWo, which was great early. But what
(51:35):
happened with the nWo is people thought that he'll stables
cooler than WCW with AEW ice cold and w B
red hot. Anything associated with w B could be perceived
as cooler if they put him over enough, especially John Moxley.
You know, a Shane McMahon being fresh and new, you
can make AEW look like a really lame company as
if they needed the help.
Speaker 5 (51:54):
Well that's it Shane and two Shane said about a
promo than ninety percent of that rocks. So you know
they're gonna come out and they're gonna crapple over ae W.
They're gonna say everything that you know. They're gonna say
a lot of things that people on Twitter say about
a e W. Unfortunately, though I don't see I don't
(52:16):
see the casuals coming over to check at AW like
they did the checkout Nitro. I remember when when when
Razor and what was when National Hall were on at
the same time. I was flipping through the channels because
I was at my mother's house, and I put it
on Nitro because I thought I was watching Raw. YEA
(52:38):
Razor and Diesel were in the ring, and then I
was like, oh wait, oh wait, this is Nitro, and
I stayed on Nitro. He said, that's not happening for.
Speaker 3 (52:47):
A e W.
Speaker 2 (52:48):
It's just not a W, Isn't I mean? Bringing in
shanedrick Mann a year and change after he tore his
squad at WrestleMania is far different than bringing over Kevin
Nash just a few weeks after he is on Raw.
People like like Shane McMahon. Isn't people people don't care
enough about Shane McMahon. He's not even people's favorite mcman.
That's Stephanie. So he's he's the he's kind of the
(53:11):
joking McMahon that everyone got tired of a few years ago.
This is like, this would be like if WCW brought
in Gorilla Monsoon in ninety five or something. It's like,
I don't think yey, you know yeah, Jack Tunny, Yeah,
it's like, yeah, okay, you're cool. That's neat, but I'm
not gonna keep watching, you know, Like Shane, Shane's showing
up on any W could be.
Speaker 1 (53:32):
An all time moment if they handled it correctly. I
just have no faith that they'd actually handled it correctly.
Speaker 5 (53:37):
I have to wonder if this is a case where
Shane goes, shut up and will handle it. Because you know,
we know Tony is not a booker. Tony is a
fantasy matchmaker.
Speaker 1 (53:49):
Well again, Shane, Look, he's gonna walk in there and
he's gonna say, all right, I'm calling my own shots,
just like everyone else has. Just like Moxley did, just
like Jericho did, just like Mercedes did. They are all
calling their own shots, booking their own stuff. Cody booked
his own stuff. The Bucks booked their own stuff, Omega
books his own stuff. And that's why the show feels
like it's written by ten different people, all with conflicting ideas.
Speaker 2 (54:13):
It's why nothing flows into each other. Yeah, and let's
not forget the last time Shane booked anything. It was
himself to win the Royal Rumble in maybe Rumania, Okay.
Speaker 3 (54:24):
And he also did that Underground show, didn't they.
Speaker 2 (54:27):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (54:28):
Yeah, yeah, Oh, by the way, that that that that
that Shane Shane booked himself to win the Royal wanted
to win the Royal Rumble and then wanted to dominate
the Royal Rumble to the point where he pissed brock
lesnar Off and got sent home by his father. One
hundred percent happened. Yeah, I have confirmation about that, that
that happened. That's not a rumor.
Speaker 2 (54:49):
Shane.
Speaker 1 (54:49):
I have been told in the past that Shane is
is not the the the adult in the room that
we all thought he was. Shane is a mock for
himself and Shane is you know, yeah, the he goes uh.
When the picture of Shane and Tony Khan came out
(55:10):
by one one of my contexted to me, he goes,
I would bet anything that if you uh, if you
backed that camera shot up in the middle of that table,
there's a tony Montana sized white mountain between them.
Speaker 2 (55:24):
And I still, I still think that it's very possible
that Vince is involved in all these conversations too, because
if anybody's talking Vince, if anybody is talking to Vince
in that family, it's Shane. If anybody no, no, I
don't think so oh no, no, Vince five. Vince sent
him home.
Speaker 1 (55:43):
He fight. Apparently they've been on the ouse ever since
from what I've heard.
Speaker 2 (55:47):
But you have to remember too, they're the only ones
that aren't in w w E. They're the ones who
have something against w w E. And I think that
could absolutely bring them back together.
Speaker 1 (55:58):
No, I don't think.
Speaker 3 (55:59):
And if a wrestling company no no, no, no no.
Speaker 2 (56:04):
Them not liking WWE right now is what you're bringing up.
Speaker 1 (56:07):
But a ae W could could get away with with
working with Shane. They cannot get away in any way,
shape or form with having anything to do with Vince.
Speaker 2 (56:17):
Okay, we say that.
Speaker 6 (56:18):
But let's remember that Vince McMahon has liquidated all of
his funds, so he's just got billions of dollars in
cash sitting around. People think he's going to start a
business or whatnot. And yes, Vince would never publicly work
with the AW right could you imagine him floating some
cash to where maybe you know, Alpha Corporation sends aw
a gift payment.
Speaker 2 (56:37):
Or him or him just saying, hey, Shane, you know
what would be funny if you go work for aw
Let's take him out, Let's take trips out.
Speaker 1 (56:44):
You know what I mean, like that kind of I mean,
I've been hearing, I've been hearing rumors that Vince is
not doing so great right now help wise too. So
I don't I don't know, he doesn't look great. I
mean we haven't seen him in how long. So but yeah,
you know, I I don't think there's anything to Vincric Manson,
but Seane McMahon is only a matter of time. Yeah,
all right? B T twenty three for five dollars with
(57:05):
bad Blood probably being Punk Drew three Gunther, Sammy Cody
possibly with our Ko hopefully Solo Roman for examples which match.
Are you all looking forward to? I am very interested
in the hell and if they do Hell in a
Cell with punkin.
Speaker 5 (57:20):
Dres Yeah, Bracelet anniversary. Well, that's right, Hell the Cell.
We're going back to Bad Blood. I think Punk and
Drew tear it up and.
Speaker 2 (57:30):
They broke the bracelet. Bracelet's dawn. It's done. We don't
have to worry about that.
Speaker 1 (57:34):
But what but what if they what if they give
the Hell in a Cell to Gunther and Sammy instead,
because if somebody else got it, Sammy would be sady.
Speaker 5 (57:44):
Do not give me any more reason like Sammy's ay.
Speaker 1 (57:50):
Uh oh sad Sammy? What about you, Alfred? What do
you think? What are you most looking forward to for
Bad Blood?
Speaker 6 (57:55):
Definitely seeing Punk and Drew mccatire. I mean they've been
in this Shawn Michaels Brett Hart universe. I think it's
going to be just right on track. It's just too
perfect because I believe the Hell on a Cell that
Bad Blood was held the same exact day that Bad
Blood is going to be held this year. I think
it's October third, and so I think we're gonna get
callbacks to that match, even you know, see him Punk
falling off the cage and if you remember, Sean Michaels
(58:16):
didn't fall off the top of the cell. He was
like in the middle of the cell and he fell
and at the time it's crazy. So maybe we'll get
a spot like that. We're probably definitely gonna get some blood.
Maybe even it's an election here, maybe may or Kine
comes in there and can.
Speaker 2 (58:33):
You know what will happen?
Speaker 1 (58:34):
I mean, what this what.
Speaker 2 (58:40):
Somebody will beat up a cameraman. Ye'll happen.
Speaker 1 (58:44):
I think I think you're gonna see Sean and Undertaker
involved in the build in some way shape or for him,
even even if it's just being interviewed about what hell
and a cell is and how and how it Aventually,
they're not using the red cell anymore, right, they brought
the silver one back last time.
Speaker 6 (58:59):
Happenstina Hell on the cell match post Vince, I don't know.
I don't think we had.
Speaker 1 (59:05):
Stopped doing that, Yeah, just doing just because Yeah, yeah maybe,
but I'm pretty sure the last Hell of the Self
that we saw though, was the was the silver one.
Speaker 5 (59:19):
Yeah, no, it was silver and then Triple h put
it away when he took over. Everybody was hauling the
self fatigued anyway.
Speaker 1 (59:26):
Yeah, yeah, Well, remember that was Triple Ah's match for
for quite a while where he was trying to make
it his match. It was the Undertaker's match, but constantly, yeah,
what about what about you dis which which which match
(59:47):
are you? Mostly can?
Speaker 2 (59:48):
I mean, obviously the Hell in the Cell. I was
there for the first one. It'll be great to see
another one. But you know what, I I was in
discord chat and a lot of people were thinking I
was gonna be I am not mad about Sammy's aiding
getting this match, not mad at all about Sammy getting
this match.
Speaker 1 (01:00:04):
Got to get get his job back.
Speaker 2 (01:00:06):
Yeah, he's got to get his three, he's got to
get his win back. It makes sense from a storyline perspective.
They they leaned in a little bit to the underdog
thing with you. They're saying, why would you deserve a shot,
and Sammy's like, no, no, no, you can't do that.
I beat you. So it's not about me being you.
I know I can beat you, and everyone knows I
can beat So it's like they're dodging the underdog thing,
(01:00:29):
and this is what Sammy. Sammy should be the jobb
or to the Stars type guy, you know. So I
totally am fine with this match. But yeah, the Hell
of the Cell is going to be amazing, and I
really hope they only keep one. I don't want to
see two Helen the cells. I really hope they stick
to one.
Speaker 3 (01:00:46):
Is anybody we do not need?
Speaker 1 (01:00:50):
Is that happening?
Speaker 2 (01:00:51):
I mean they haven't. That's I don't think.
Speaker 1 (01:00:53):
You've got to think that that's where they're gonna go.
But I mean, we do not need a women's Helen
the cell match. Just because the hell in the cell
is there in the building does not mean you need
to have to. You could have You could put Riha
and live in a cell, you know, on a pape
of view down the line and not have amends hell
and to cell like you don't always need to have.
Speaker 6 (01:01:12):
Yeah, and I agree with you on that in terms
of not having two Hauna cells. But having said that,
to your point about Rhea and Live, the story is
every time Ria tries to get her hands on Live,
she runs away. She's ran away from her countless time.
So that is a stipulation that perfectly fits that feud.
Speaker 1 (01:01:26):
You know what, As I was saying it, I was like, oh,
that actually would work.
Speaker 6 (01:01:30):
Yeah, well but not on the THME show. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:01:33):
Yeah, they're not a having a cell level yet. They're
they're old school. I say, bring back Big Blue.
Speaker 1 (01:01:43):
I love Big Blue as much as the restlers of
the day hated it.
Speaker 2 (01:01:47):
We could probably squeeze through the bars of Big Blue,
though that's probably.
Speaker 5 (01:01:51):
Probably actually probably complaining about taking the superplex off of
Big Blue over the week, and he superplexed me off
that gd cage every night for a year.
Speaker 1 (01:02:05):
Of course I left, oh man uh. Michael Pottam for
dollar ninety nine says trips watching and asking how bookate's
in three places? Everyone's making that joke. Mister Grimey for
one nine nine says, well, I was refersed to report
even if it was wrong. John j Id nine nine
(01:02:26):
nine one nine nine says that nasty tongue wagging around
just uugh. John Williams for five dollars Dave was a tabloid,
not a journalist. His reports are what people tell him,
what he and what he thinks. It's why both WCW
and WWE had an on and off relationship with him.
Yeah you know what, Yeah, he is more of a
(01:02:48):
tabloid reporter and not a journalist because he just gets
fed the gossip, He gets fed the dirt and he
gets he gets it fed to him by people that
have an agenda. You know how many times over the
years have wrestlers fid him a backstage story that makes
them look better.
Speaker 2 (01:03:04):
So yeah, right, it's why I awful goul.
Speaker 7 (01:03:16):
The only time, the only time he's really a journalist
is when there is a passing of a wrestler or
there's some real hard.
Speaker 3 (01:03:24):
Hitting you know, uh events or something happening of that nature.
But his daily news and.
Speaker 7 (01:03:30):
Like current events type style of journalism, it is tabloid.
Speaker 2 (01:03:34):
Yeah, it's why it's in my open letter that he
should stick to the historical stuff and stay away from
all of that. Now. He has no idea how to
handle social media and how fast everything moves these days,
and he's getting so much wrong. He just needs to
completely stop.
Speaker 1 (01:03:48):
That's yep. Jackie Boy for five Pounds says regarding Dave's tongue,
I think he's just down. He's just down. Bad for Kenny. Also,
I'm on the spectrum. How dare you insult us? I'm
gonna make a mean tweet now, just kidding? John J
d nine nine nine for one nine nine. Daniel Siner
was reviewing UK snack food on YouTube for promotion of
(01:04:09):
the show.
Speaker 2 (01:04:11):
Got to Do Better, Got to Do Better?
Speaker 7 (01:04:13):
Yeah, really will Osprey doing any sort of promotion. I
mean he was he is there. Oh, that would have
been fought. That would have been far too much work.
I would would to cut in on his sleepy time.
Speaker 5 (01:04:27):
Yeah, he hasn't do more than thirty two hours worth
of work in a week.
Speaker 3 (01:04:32):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:04:33):
Producer A. W. Neck beards Wise, man of the show
for five dollars Canadian says, we don't like heavy metal,
we don't like rock and roll.
Speaker 9 (01:04:39):
All we like to listen to listen to is Barry Manilow,
All American Boys, Elsie.
Speaker 1 (01:04:51):
Killer Is seventeen for two dollars. Is movie monster versus
solo monster in Helena Seal Wow Doctor six for five dollars.
TK spoiling the Shane arrival is why he's a terrible booker.
All that mis momentum for a holy bleep TV moment.
I gotta agree, guys, because if Shane just showed up
(01:05:12):
randomly it was a surprise, people would have lost their minds.
And he was even playing it's coming.
Speaker 5 (01:05:21):
On this because it's actually think it's smart because you
have to pop the rating. No one watches the show,
so it's the roh moment. The great Matches happened on
RH if no one sees it, did it really happen?
Shanemcman comes out, Shaneman comes out on aw TV and
they only get six hundred and fifty K. What was
(01:05:43):
the point? At least we're like that happened like almost
over a month ago. We're still kind of talking about it.
All if they do is say Shane McMahon is coming,
and that'll probably get them in the eight hundreds. I
don't think they're ever gonna hit a million, but by possibility,
Shane coming at least gives them a night where in
their back eight hundreds.
Speaker 1 (01:06:01):
But with that, if they released that photo and Shane
showed up the next week, I would agree with you.
But we now, everyone now has had an opportunity to
become accustomed to the idea of Shane McMahon in ae W.
So therefore I think it's not gonna make as big
of an impact anymore because we've all been telegraphing it
for months. It's kind of like the Mercedes Monet thing
(01:06:22):
where her her she made no impact on her arrival
because everyone was talking about it for months before.
Speaker 6 (01:06:28):
They didn't promote that again, and that's what I was
gonna get into in terms of he said, like it's
gonna be what do they call big business. So we
said a lot of things that the internet fans knew
it was Mercedes money. But you can't tell me that.
If they would have said for months, Sasha Banks, so
the artists normally known as Sasha Banks, Mercedes Money is
coming to AEW, they would have sold more tickets, they
would have done a better number. So what I hope
(01:06:50):
doesn't happen is that he doesn't say a grand Slam,
here comes the money, like you need to if you're
gonna promote Shanaman, Shane McMahon's coming, or just say a
McMahon is coming to the aw.
Speaker 5 (01:07:02):
You know what if you just want them to appear
and have them pop up on the tron and say
next week I'm in whatever lame city, we're gonna beat him.
Speaker 2 (01:07:10):
Yeah, Well remember back when I remember back when Bischoff
came in, and what they did was they had Bischoff
show up right before the commercial and Booker T said,
tell me, I didn't just see that I was doing.
What Vince was doing was he was giving everybody a
chance to call their friends and tell people that they're
on their way if Vince would have done that six
(01:07:32):
weeks before Bishoff showed up by the time Bischoff got there,
because what you do is when the second it happens,
you go, Okay, I'm gonna watch the next show. You
watch the nex show, it doesn't happen. You watch the
next show, it doesn't happen. You watch the next show,
it doesn't happen. And then eventually go, I'm not watching
this crap anymore. And that's what And then you get
to last week's dynamite, the worst dynamite I've ever seen
in my life, and everyone stops watching and that's where
(01:07:54):
they are.
Speaker 5 (01:07:54):
They He hasn't said anything about shape the photo, Yeah,
because a month later we're still talking about it when
they turn on and they actually decide to if he
does this smart, and I'm I know that I am
thrown out, uh a prayer and a wing right, it's
(01:08:15):
if he doesn't smart that is almost oxy moroonic when
we're talking about Tony the But if they do this
smart and they actually advertise it, it will be gangbusters
for them because for the casual wrestling fan, the McMahon
name carries a ton of weight. Doesn't matter which you
know what when it comes to Shane or Vince. Yes,
(01:08:39):
Shane's got an ego because Shane was the favorite of
the band for almost twenty years. The So people, what
do you mean, why is Shane mcmanon gonna be over here?
The curiosity factor will pull you in. You got a
channel your inner doctor Frankenfutter And wait for the antica.
You know it's it's you know, it's.
Speaker 1 (01:09:02):
Sorry.
Speaker 2 (01:09:03):
I had to knowing Tony instead of announcing of the
whole name of Dynamite, here comes the monet and then
just assume everyone knows it means the change.
Speaker 1 (01:09:11):
Yes, well no, you know you know what? I think
that like, remember Tony is obsessed with the big swerve moment,
like he's the big surprise moment, the holy ass moment.
I think what Remember when Hulk Hogan was coming to WCW.
They promoted the hell out of that. You got the
ticket tape parade, the contract signing, and if Hogan's first
(01:09:33):
appearance was was bashed at the beach telegraphed infinitely for
that match with him and Flair. I mean it was
like they did not It wasn't like Hogan just came
out at the end of WCW Saturday Night or something
like that, and didn't running like they let you know,
Hulk Hogan is.
Speaker 7 (01:09:50):
They played that perfectly Mark because then after that you
had all the wrestlers talking about it, you had the
announcers talking about it for weeks on end. They they
were setting up opponents. I remember Macho Man one week
was just like you know, it wasn't much a man.
I don't know who it was, but yeah, they have
been getting right right.
Speaker 3 (01:10:10):
So with Shane.
Speaker 7 (01:10:12):
For for for the Shane experiment in the aw to
be effective, he's got to be there every week. He
cannot do this thing like Brett Hart, you know, just
showing up one week and then having his minions take
over his talking points for him, just because you know,
the the specter of of of Shane Man being in
there in the in the company is good. No no, no,
(01:10:33):
no no, Shane's got to be there every week to
disrupt and to bring in those viewers. I still don't
think he's gonna get a million, even with it's worth
the shot, but I have a feeling that Shane is
going to show up and then like the next two
weeks or three weeks, he's not gonna be there, and
(01:10:55):
that's what I see going on with you know, Tony
Kahn booking.
Speaker 1 (01:10:59):
Mm hm, well, I mean that's kind of also the
way it was with Hogan at first. Hogan was not
in every show, But I understand what you're saying. Moving on,
Alejandro Melendez for four ninety nine says, rejoice everyone for
after every doc Saturday, True Loves Sailor Live and Tuxedo
dom trapped and defeated the Evil Queen Riatt I love
Alijandro oledis he gives us a Sailor Moon inspired recap
(01:11:22):
of the live Morgan Dominic Mysterio Rhea Ripley feud every
single week. But by the way, Alijandro, check out the
video dropping tomorrow on Tuningtown Wrestling with which is our
Mercedes Monet versus Baker. Uh, you know recap because Mercedes
in that video sings some songs off a new album,
(01:11:44):
which you know it might might be familiar to you.
All right, So Gringo Brandino for five dollars is who
else is pumped up for a potential Mean Street Posse
reunion or remake in ae w oh Man, can't you
imagine they put imagine they put like Moxley and like
Blashly and m v P and sweat vests.
Speaker 5 (01:12:06):
Bring back Pete Gas. Pete Gas was the man.
Speaker 1 (01:12:11):
Like ironically but still over mm hmmm, didn't sorry them. Yeah,
I put flashlights like like turn them inside out.
Speaker 7 (01:12:23):
When he comes into a e W, he's got to
smash everybody, no if ans or butts about it, He's
got to come in there and wreck shop.
Speaker 1 (01:12:33):
He does not know how to book men.
Speaker 5 (01:12:35):
When Lash puts over pockets, you will hear screen. I'll
put the business if it happens, because I've already irritated that.
Somehow Hunter managed to botch bringing back m v P.
And lastly, what everybody wanted to see it was the
bloody hurt business come back, and he gave us not
(01:12:55):
the hurt business with the street profits and almost turned
them into private party the the but that was like
you blew this or like lastly was super over.
Speaker 6 (01:13:06):
I get it.
Speaker 5 (01:13:07):
You know he's a big guy who doesn't can't really
move like how he used to. But lastly is also
you know, apparently part highlander because no one actually knows
how old he is because he looks the same way
he did over twenty freaking years ago. Just just a
little alopecia. So you know, I just I don't understand
how how how Vince was able to get it right
(01:13:30):
after you know, a rocky start, that that Lana roussev
thing was a little weird. The but Vince got it
right and Hunter got it just so wrong, and it's
it's it's weird to me. It's just weird to me.
And how they blew that.
Speaker 1 (01:13:45):
Yeah, yeah, no, I agree with you, But Tony does
not know how to book guys that Tony does not
know how to book guys that are bigger than you know,
that a bigger than Stone called Steve Austin sized. You know,
he he doesn't know how to He doesn't know how
to book a big monster, which is what Lastly has
to be. And you know you're just going to see
(01:14:06):
him languish in aw You're going to see him go
the way of every other big, enormous monster that that's
come in there. You know he'll he'll he'll be Jericho's
bodyguard within six months, I guarantee you, oh oh, because
you know Jericho's going to attach himself to that Shane thing.
B ten dollars. I wonder with AEW's deal looming how
(01:14:27):
WBD is going to go. I also wonder how many
people that are pot of WBD or under Turner, because
they would be wishing for the numbers Bishop brought for WCW.
I think that it's a it's a much different atmosphere
in cable right now. Not to sound too much like Meltzer,
but I don't think anyone's expecting them to come in
there and do five six million people. No, because Raw
(01:14:48):
is not even doing Roll's not even coming close to
doing that.
Speaker 3 (01:14:53):
Now.
Speaker 1 (01:14:53):
I think that I don't know the the the deal
with the I mean, yeah, I think awful posted today
like it's it's September. It's September third. Do you know
what your WBDTV deal is?
Speaker 7 (01:15:09):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (01:15:10):
And Uh, It's just we're just not getting it. It's
just not happening. Somebody said, one of the usual suspect
journalists said, if you don't have a deal by Labor Day,
it's time to start panicking. And well, Labor Day was yesterday, guys,
so maybe it's time to start panicking. I don't know.
I feel like the second he has a pen to
paper with this, he's announcing it. But I also feel
(01:15:34):
like they're gonna announce it in a press release, because
that's what networks do. They don't, you know, wait for
it to be some kind of swerve thing in a
pay per view. So anyone who thinks that's what Tony's doing,
I gotta you know that that's not how major corporations
like this act. So what do you guys think? What's
going on with this deal? Alfred? What do you think?
Speaker 6 (01:15:52):
It is making me, in terms of from AEW's standpoint,
a little nervous because between you and I, I've had
a piece ready to go about a aw's deal that
once it's announced, I'll just have to make a couple
of nips and tucks and it'll be out there. But
now it's getting to the point where I've had it
ready for so long I'm probably gonna have to do
a whole nother video because so many things have changed.
There's so many dated references to the pay per views
(01:16:12):
that were around at the time. So it's it's yeah,
TV deals can fall apart. This happens all the time,
and so in the back of my mind, I'm thinking
that maybe they did have something that they are comfortable
with and it fell apart, so their back to spur one,
and the longer this goes on, AW just had its
biggest show, so now they're back to a rebuilding mode
(01:16:33):
and so they're gonna have all out and they're gonna
have these lesser pay per views and the TV is
not gonna be as hot. So hopefully this Shane nickmahon
debut is going to mean something. But the longer this
gets stretched out, the worse for AW because of the
numbers are doing because of their live attendance has been
very scary low. Even Dave Meltzer will tell you that.
And AW really needs to look to sign this deal
(01:16:54):
as fast as possible because a longer time that goes by,
the less money I think they're gonna get and and
the less places.
Speaker 2 (01:17:01):
They're going to have an opportunity to go to. Because
what's going to be available if they go all the
way to December and don't have a deal, who's going
to be there to negotiate with and to try to
make this deal?
Speaker 1 (01:17:12):
When does the current deal run out? Is every run
out at the end of the year.
Speaker 5 (01:17:14):
Is it just to the.
Speaker 1 (01:17:17):
That's I mean, we're getting there? Why it In terms
of like marketing a switch to a new network, we're
way late on this, like you should be, should be
months and months in advance that you stop marketing that
you're going to be on a new network. The uh
with it again, we don't know. They might be staying
(01:17:38):
on the same network.
Speaker 2 (01:17:39):
We'll see.
Speaker 1 (01:17:39):
You got to think that whatever they're offering, because you
would think that Tony would just take whatever they're willing
to give him to keep to keep playing playball here.
But it's got to be what they're offering is not
financially viable for the company. Uh with their regarding the
huge contracts that he's just given out.
Speaker 5 (01:18:00):
This is again, this is delusion and reality fighting to
the death. There there they are. They are in a
death grip on rock and back falls, and it's not
over until they both plumme it into the water. I
have a feeling that they got a deal a long
time ago and they were very unhappy with it, and
Tony was delusional and thought that he could look at
(01:18:22):
my washed up ww stars. I've got the guy who
used to be Edge, I've got the broken down equivalent
of Daniel Bryan. I've got a guy that people used
to call Dean Ambrose and no one cares, but you
should care because I care. Let's hug it out the
U And they're like, yeah, bro, you gotta cut down
(01:18:43):
this payroll and you'll be fine.
Speaker 6 (01:18:45):
And what do you do?
Speaker 5 (01:18:46):
He signed fifty thousand more people. That roster is infinite.
Now the uh so, what are they gonna do? It's
I just don't I think he has it. He doesn't
have the number. He thought that someone might be interested.
But here we are past later and no one's calling.
You are the sorry brother, and you're the fat girl
(01:19:06):
at the dance that no one wants to talk to,
and you need to accept your place.
Speaker 1 (01:19:13):
Well real quick. Guys are taking a quick break in
this one because our friend Alfred Canua has to head out.
We have appreciated having you here, my friend. Please tell
the folks where they can find more about you and
what you're doing.
Speaker 6 (01:19:24):
Absolutely, I have a great time with you guys, and
I will be back. I hope to see you guys
back on there so all the Booker t's can get
back together. But pro wrestling bits on YouTube. I'll have
videos there. I have shorts there just about every day.
Our community is hot. We do polls and all that
kind of stuff. Obviously on Forbes and then twitter at
this is nasty, but looking forward to what happens at
(01:19:45):
Grand Slam and at Bad Blood and we'll be back
right on the show to talk to you guys, because
I always have a good time here.
Speaker 1 (01:19:50):
We always appreciate having you here. You the door is
always open, You're always welcome whenever you'd like to come on.
And uh yeah, I mean keep up the great work, man,
because you are one of the true voy poices out
there that that you know, commands respect in the wrestling appreciat.
Speaker 6 (01:20:05):
Same thing for you guys. Seriously, I'm not just saying
this is why I like coming on the show. Same
thing for all you guys. I'm really proud of your
guys' success. And I'll be seeing you guys soon.
Speaker 1 (01:20:13):
Thanks to you soon. But all right, okay, so back
to uh what we're talking about here. It's it's got
to be non financially viable for for the because because
you think about the the contracts Offen too Okada, to
Osprey and to Mercedes were so massively massive that he
(01:20:40):
would he would need and apparently he was banking on
getting this multiple times bigger deal in order to justify
those contracts. I gotta you gotta think daddy is not
paying is basically saying, hey, no, I'm not giving you
up of this.
Speaker 2 (01:20:57):
Do we ever think to consider that maybe Tony Kahan
is just a dumb guy, Like maybe like we always
sit here in the sector and yeah, I mean we
always try to dissect him and try to figure out
as reasons, but everything can always be explained by him
just not being very smart. And I kind of think
that's where we are now, Like the only thing that
(01:21:18):
makes sense when you put it all together is that
he's just it's not just about not understanding the wrestling business.
He's just not a very smart guy.
Speaker 7 (01:21:28):
He didn't do his due diligence. That's just the bottom line.
Everything was rushed in his in his world.
Speaker 1 (01:21:36):
But I think that you're not wrong.
Speaker 5 (01:21:38):
I think the fans of you know, the soccer fans
in the football fans, opinions of their other franchises give
you a little bit of insight onto how they handle this.
To me, Tony strikes me as a guy. If you
ever just pop on on his LinkedIn page, he lists
everything that he does. He's a guy who likes telling
everybody how much he's doing, so that you don't have
the chance to ask what it is that he actually
(01:21:59):
does these Again for a guy who's so busy, sure
does spent a lot of time on Twitter, the you
know the and it's like, well, what have you really
gotten for it? Your your soccer fans hate you just
for the sake of you know, the uh it's illegal
to burn people at the stake is the only reason
you're still alive in Jacksonville.
Speaker 1 (01:22:20):
And you know, all your.
Speaker 5 (01:22:22):
Connects that got you to the dance at at t
n T are gone. And to me, the first warning
shot should the first it's time to wake up moment
should have been when they kicked you off of t
n T and sent you to TVs. You you got
moved to the B network the and we carried on
like everything was fine. So and now here we are,
(01:22:44):
you know, we're really close to the end of the year.
I don't think to go anywhere. I don't think that
W b D unless you know, unless the unless their
fight for the UFC is so incredible that the amount
of money they spend as a god ungodly or if
(01:23:05):
they if they lose it, I don't think a W
goes anywhere if they have if.
Speaker 6 (01:23:10):
They get it.
Speaker 5 (01:23:11):
I think they keep a W just for the sheer
sake of sink. It is easier to advertise to the
UFC on ae W because there's a little bit of
cross over there, there's a built an audience. But if
they have to spend the tremendous amount of money, something's
gonna go. Something's gonna go.
Speaker 1 (01:23:26):
And you know, I just I don't know.
Speaker 5 (01:23:29):
It's just I don't wont I don't know, and I'm
not I'm not trying to be the negative.
Speaker 6 (01:23:34):
We need a e W to do well.
Speaker 5 (01:23:36):
The hard fact is if AW fails, no one else
gets a chance in our lifetime. It's over. It doesn't
matter how good the idea is, no other networks go
put wrestling on it on if W if if AW
drops the ball. So we actually need a e W
to work. That's why we scream at it so much,
(01:23:57):
because we don't understand how they're so bad at because
wrestling isn't actually hard me, but it's not looking good.
Speaker 3 (01:24:06):
M Yeah, well, keV speak for yourself.
Speaker 1 (01:24:11):
Because we all know you feel you want you want to.
Speaker 7 (01:24:14):
That's why I'm not That's why I'm not gonna say
too much. I mean, I don't think they're getting a
w w dB deal or WBD deal, and uh, that's
all I got, man, I mean, and I will say
it based on absolutely nothing that's concrete. I just look
at the numbers. I just we we look at history.
(01:24:35):
Then we got to look at the man and be like,
he can't last this long. I mean, I don't care.
Speaker 1 (01:24:40):
I think no, I still think they will get a deal.
I think they'll still get a deal because I'm sure
there is a deal on the table from w b D.
And I think that it's gonna You're gonna hit the
point where it's gonna be like you know, with with
last call at the bar, you go home with whatever,
with whatever's around, you know, Like that's what's gonna happen.
It's last call, and Tony's gonna take whatever home, whatever
(01:25:04):
pig he's got to take home.
Speaker 3 (01:25:06):
And stolely and and peanuts, that's what he's gonna exactly.
Speaker 1 (01:25:11):
Well, I don't know, we'll see John j Id nine
ninety nine for one nine nine. Since Dave Meltzer is
gollum aw is is precious well, that is the closest
thing to Tolkien we currently have on TV, so that
you know, good for him. Jackie Boy for five pounds
says at least it was snacks and not proper food.
Seasoning is satanic in England, at least here in Scotland
(01:25:33):
we use seasoning mainly for hagas, which isn't bad. I
like hagis. I had hagus recently a couple of years ago,
and I up liking it. But Jackie I did not
know he was Scottish, so uh, I'm glad truly from
no I love the Scotch Highlander, man, It's one of
my favorite shows of all time. Jackie's Highlander, I like it.
(01:25:55):
I like it. Daniel Flores for one. By the way,
British food is disgusting, just just throwing it out there
whenever anybody wants to go eat it. To Harry Potter
Places in Universal, I'm like, ew, why I wanted Bland
boiled food? I'd make it myself. It's just like toad
in a hole? Why is everything I have sausages in it?
(01:26:18):
But Daniel Flora is for one nine to nine pockets
versus Kevin Apollo. I mean, we all want to see it.
BT twenty three for five dollars. TK better know that
if Shane comes his father's name comes with it. Wondering
if TK is expecting Vince's money because Shane doesn't have
money like Vince. You're probably not wrong there, man. I
could totally say that's the thing. The controversy is going
(01:26:41):
to follow Shane because his name is McMahon and I're
gonna have to hear, especially casuals. All they're gonna do
is I mean what shame? Yeah, I don't know, growing
new growing new legs.
Speaker 2 (01:26:54):
Shane was bigging up a company just about a year
ago that ended up being a scam, so he's probably
not doing all that well financially. Yeah, is ww A,
I don't think. I don't know.
Speaker 6 (01:27:10):
I just I know for a fact he was.
Speaker 2 (01:27:12):
He was out promoting the company, uh last year or
the year before, and it came out in the news
that it was a big like it was a it
was a scam, so it was probably not doing no, No,
it was something it was something sports had something to
do with, like, no, it wasn't even sports, I'm not.
I'm not sure one hundred percent if you look it up.
It's very public though, So.
Speaker 5 (01:27:35):
Six months ago, Shansworth is two hundred million.
Speaker 6 (01:27:40):
There you go.
Speaker 1 (01:27:42):
In the grand scheme of Vincent Tony Khan, that's nothing.
Speaker 5 (01:27:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:27:47):
True to us, that's a lot of money and we'd
kill for it. But for Vincent Tony Khan, that's chump change.
So yeah, I mean, I don't think they they're expecting
Shane to come in and financially contribute. But uh but
MJG for nine nine nine says very likely aewwbd have
a deal in deal pending pen to paper an announcement,
but to not know where it'll air in January is
(01:28:08):
a bad look for consumer product that has led to
awful pr slash the wrong kind of publicity. That's why
I think they don't have anything inked because if they did,
we'd know, we'd know at this point this, why are
you sending super chats?
Speaker 2 (01:28:23):
Because I didn't want to take away from the listeners
what they were doing. So I thought if I was
going to request me talk about something, I should do
it the way they do. That's why.
Speaker 1 (01:28:32):
Okay, all right, So I like you, I give you.
I appreciate that this I really, I really truly do.
All right. So dis says this, why don't you just
read it?
Speaker 2 (01:28:46):
Because I can't see it as very small on my screen?
Speaker 1 (01:28:49):
Oh how excited are you guys about Jack Perry getting
a world title shot at all? Out on a scale
of the most to the most gentlemen this day, I
am a guinea biggest eye of Italian note it's got
amongst yourselves? Uh man, I am There was There was
(01:29:14):
nothing remotely compelling about Jack Perry in a main event
world title match, despite the fact that Daniel Brian Danielson
is going to take him out there and make him
look like a million bucks. Why like, we're gonna have
to sit there and watch this because we're doing a
live stream on Sunday for it. It's it is Sunday,
(01:29:38):
right this?
Speaker 6 (01:29:39):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (01:29:40):
No, I think yes, No, it's Saturday. It's Saturday. Because
collisions on Saturday? Which collision in smack that are going
head to head this week?
Speaker 1 (01:29:50):
By the way, I Brian Alvarez heard that this week
might be a slaughter. I heard. But the Jack, the
Jack Perry thing. Man, oh man, you want to talk
about misreading your audience. Nobody reacts to the sky. Nobody
likes the sky. He's already got a belt. Why why
are you doing this?
Speaker 2 (01:30:11):
It devalues his belt, It doesn't add value to his belt.
He values his belt. It devalues the title shots that
Darby Allen and Christian already earned that they aren't getting
before Jack Perry does. It makes no sense and also
took away from it. Otherwise. The only decent segment on
(01:30:31):
Dynamite this week, which was Brian Danielson going out and
announcing that he wasn't retiring to by the way, immediately
get like they acted like they didn't know what was
going to happen. Is he going to retire? Is he
not going to retire? And then in the middle of
his speech, right after he said he wasn't, Jack Perry
popped up on the screen and said, well, if you're
not going to retire, I'm going to challenge you. And
then guess what it was taped and Jack Perry actually
(01:30:54):
came in from behind, which means he somehow knew that
Brian Danielsen wasn't retiring, despite the fact that the entire
show they've been asking the question, it's it's a mess,
it's awful, it's a terrible, terrible idea. It's not gonna
draw one view to the show, and it's just Tony's
obsession with owning the internet. It's coach Tony K This
(01:31:15):
isn't Tony kan looking, this is coach Tony k right.
Speaker 1 (01:31:19):
I think that Tony needs to justify the fact that
he kept Jack Perry and fired CM Punk a year ago,
and we we have to then state we have to
then show why keeping Jack Perry was a smarter move
th and keeping CM Punk. So, in other words, we're
gonna promote the hell out of Jack Perry and make
(01:31:40):
him a stop because that's that way Tony saw the
you know, he saw the potential when no one else did,
and he could be the star maker. Meanwhile, you know,
Seeampunk is making a ton of money elsewhere right now,
one year later, it has been a year since you know,
brawl in and Seampunk's firing. So oh boy, yeah, I
(01:32:01):
don't know, keV. What do you think about Jack Perry
in a paper view made of night?
Speaker 5 (01:32:05):
Oh? Who cares?
Speaker 3 (01:32:10):
Very insightful, keV, I really is what what can I
say that.
Speaker 5 (01:32:17):
I haven't already said? The who cares about this little
entitled loser?
Speaker 8 (01:32:22):
He has?
Speaker 5 (01:32:23):
He the Spiro Agnew has more charisma than than than
than Jungle Boy Jack Perry. Google Google at kids, you'll
get the Joe talking about the there's nothing there he
is another one who gets the anti pop the I
personally I get. I think Tony's delusional. I think that
(01:32:45):
his you know, his his his, his doey little old
men who pretended this still boy said, don't you see
how great this is? It's going great. You should put
Jack in the matter.
Speaker 1 (01:32:53):
Brian, And Okay, I think Brian, I'm this one. I'm
gonna give you guys one better. He might he might win. No,
he might win. Yeah, No, they they might be, they might.
I guarantee you. They want somebody in the Young Bucks
camp to be a w world champion.
Speaker 2 (01:33:15):
Now I think it'll be because that.
Speaker 5 (01:33:18):
Yeah, I think that you gotta We are not watching
real wrestling. We are watching Make a Wish. We're watching
Make a Wish participation trophy wrestling. This is for the
victim weight losers who couldn't get booked anywhere else. Uncle
(01:33:40):
Tony came along. If there were a bunch of people
who had no business being on a camera a ship
ton of money to perform horribly. We just if you
watch Collision this week, on two different occasions, in two
different matches, someone got dropped on their head and neck.
The one show usually you've gotta you've gotta go across
(01:34:04):
the spectrum where the three terrible shows. We got it
two times, two times in one night, which means they're
getting worse. I don't care how many times you send
out dustin to the hands, and everything is great and
they love me. These guys are incompetent performers, and we
had to pretend that this is something worth while watching.
(01:34:25):
It's actually embarrassing to have to admit that you suffered
through six hours of aw television.
Speaker 2 (01:34:34):
Did you watch did you watch Dynamite? Did you watch
Dynamite this week?
Speaker 5 (01:34:37):
Yes? I suffered through Dynamite much of the horror of
my life.
Speaker 6 (01:34:41):
It was awful.
Speaker 1 (01:34:42):
It was awful incomprehensive Yeah, yeah, this you said it
was one of the it was an all time one
of the all time worst dynamites. What did you mean
by that and why did you say that?
Speaker 2 (01:34:52):
Because everything was worse than the last thing that happened,
like it was building too bad. Everything the the whole
time they were promoting this Brian this Brian Danielson stuff,
which ended up being a fart and church because of
Jack Perry. You had Ricochet who ended up just going
out having a poor Ricochet match he didn't do anything
new except for a cross shop. And then besides, Buddy
(01:35:15):
botched a couple moves and it looked like a sloppier
version of Ricochet fighting someone who has no chemistry with
You had meaningless matches all the way throughout. You had
the Grizzled Young Veterans shot a promo backstage at all
In that got interrupted by the Young Bucks, and then
immediately after they showed that, they followed it with a
(01:35:37):
promo from the Grizzled Young Veterans, So you get two
Grizzled Young Veterans promos in a row. You had Mercedes
Monett who had a party backstage that consisted of four
people with champagne glasses and her dancing around and then
she made boys fight over her.
Speaker 5 (01:35:55):
This is it's It was a nineties adult cinema bad
just just to put the cherry on that Caken I Preach,
Brother Preach it was.
Speaker 2 (01:36:07):
It was awful, it was unwatchable, and it felt and
this is leading into by the way, this is the
show after their WrestleMania. This is the show after their WrestleMania.
Speaker 7 (01:36:17):
This is Don't Forget, Don't forget. MJF and Daniel Garcia.
Oh yeah, I mean, like, good Lord, you had Daniel
Garcia come out there and he was teasing a pile driver.
They was just like, you know what, I think I'll
go on the second roupe and he's the pile driver there.
He just happened to look back and see a bunch
of jobber security guards coming towards the ring, so he
(01:36:40):
didn't do that, gave enough time for MJF to recover.
MJF attacks him and then they go to another promo.
Speaker 1 (01:36:49):
Yeah, it was, And how about.
Speaker 2 (01:36:52):
How about mocks at the end, we're the cameraman. They
made the cameraman do the thing where they talk where
they say, hey, Marx, what were you talking about out there, buddy?
And the box turns around and beats up the camera.
It was such a bad, bad show. It really did
feel and I know this this comparison goes out there
a lot, but it felt like a bad episode of
Nitro from from two thousand. That's what it felt like. Now, good, No,
(01:37:14):
I'm sorry. Thunder a bad episode of thunder Under.
Speaker 5 (01:37:17):
Yeah, yeah, without the reprieve of the of the natural
born thrillers showing.
Speaker 4 (01:37:23):
Up crow Bar.
Speaker 2 (01:37:24):
Yeah, you didn't get crow Bar out there.
Speaker 5 (01:37:26):
There was no Crowbar and Daphne, no natural born thrillers,
you not even have a national commentary. It was just
it felt like a punishment handed down from the devil.
And you're like, I don't want to get it, but
I got it.
Speaker 3 (01:37:40):
That's because Tony can't see past the next show.
Speaker 7 (01:37:44):
He doesn't know how to write in you know, in
three or four, five, six, seven, eight week increments.
Speaker 3 (01:37:50):
He's always.
Speaker 1 (01:37:53):
A long term storytelling Well, he's an idiot, but he can't.
Speaker 3 (01:38:00):
He can't like when he wasn't when they did all In.
He couldn't book pass that.
Speaker 7 (01:38:05):
And I think I told you guys in the private chat,
I think his entire crew was tired and you could
see it in the in the in the construction of
that television show.
Speaker 1 (01:38:16):
Yeah, I think so. I think that to work for
that company and not be a wrestler, being paid millions
of dollars to mark out for themselves has got to
be a miserable experience for every single professional, every cameraman,
every you know, every official, every every catering person. It's
got to just be the worst place to work if
(01:38:37):
you're not you know, one of those, especially.
Speaker 7 (01:38:40):
If you've come from wwe like you see the rehearsals,
you see the time stamping, you see the the the where.
Speaker 3 (01:38:47):
You're gonna stand, you know what I mean?
Speaker 7 (01:38:49):
Like coming down the aisle, Hey that you could be
sure to look at this camera, be sure to you know,
face this way. All that and the referees also put
a lot of work into that too, but an aw,
oh my god, it's like a it's like a three
ring circus.
Speaker 5 (01:39:02):
Well ref Jess versus whatever her name is, his horse face,
the ref Jess. You don't know she's there. She does
a bore, like what do we we want? We watched them,
We watched missus ed step over someone's rope, yeah for
a road break.
Speaker 2 (01:39:22):
To like what she missed the rope break and then
stepped over it to call for the bell?
Speaker 5 (01:39:30):
Yeah what what?
Speaker 6 (01:39:34):
What did that?
Speaker 1 (01:39:35):
That happen on Dynamite this week?
Speaker 6 (01:39:36):
Yeah? It sure did?
Speaker 1 (01:39:43):
Oh my goodness. All right, Well, a couple more super
chats to get to before we close out for the night.
Speaker 5 (01:39:51):
Oh jeez, this time.
Speaker 1 (01:39:52):
So yeah, we're closing a ten tonight. So Shaggy Field
seventy three for ten dollars. As if Shane is a
w bound I to hear all those medium marks like
Thurston ask Tony and Shane Vince questions at every scrum. Yeah,
that's what I said, because the money where your mouth is. Yeah,
when's the last time you heard from your father, Shane?
Speaker 6 (01:40:12):
What do you think?
Speaker 1 (01:40:13):
Did you know anything? Shane? Like all the questions they
asked you, Bleach should then get asked to Shane McMahon,
because you know what has the McMahon name.
Speaker 2 (01:40:20):
They'll ask him. They'll set it up completely to have
him be asked that question, and then he'll go off
and talk about how disgusting it is and how he
can't believe that other family members aren't commenting on it
to face, to make Shane the face and the situation
and to heal out Stephanie and Triple H. That's exactly
what will happen.
Speaker 1 (01:40:38):
I don't know about that. I don't think he's gonna
be as vicious as you all seem to think he's
gonna be. I think there's still his family. I can't imagine.
I can't imagine going out there and attacking your own family.
Speaker 2 (01:40:47):
If he's doing it by going to aw that's what
he's doing.
Speaker 1 (01:40:50):
Really, that's just his that's that's just him doing something
for himself because Tony probably offered him an obscene amount
of monk.
Speaker 2 (01:40:57):
That's true, that's true. But the mc man's they all,
that's the game, all the McMahon's play, and they get it.
And it probably won't hurt Triple Stephane's feelings because that's
how Vince raised them. Vince never cared anything bad about them.
You know, Vince didn't vince one of his guys to
do it.
Speaker 1 (01:41:14):
And who knows you, who knows if Shane, if Shane
and steph are even still in the will, So you know,
do whatever you have to do to ensure your future.
And I could I could see him being buried with
all his money like pharaoh, like the pharaohs of old,
like just sing it.
Speaker 5 (01:41:33):
There's a map everything, like National Treasure.
Speaker 1 (01:41:37):
Oh no, berries it somewhere in Connecticut and they have
to go on to Major and they have to race
for it. Whoever gets their first wins, that's who gets
his money. Oh God, I told him he was vascular
so many times. Else else Elsie Lady Killer seventeen for
(01:41:59):
five dollars. If AW fails, there's gonna be a lot
of people who'll be angry at TK and I believe
he can't handle it. I mean that is true. We
saw the way he handled the punk fire. Well, remember
the way he handled the punk firing the night afterward.
But it came out there and sat in the chair
and then and cried because the fans were blowing him,
because they blamed him. He couldn't handle it.
Speaker 3 (01:42:21):
The story, yeahs.
Speaker 1 (01:42:27):
Says, I literally screamed no when Jack Perry appeared. I
think a lot of people did a lot of people
did I did? I literally, Jackie boy for five pounds
sterling says, now I know he Scottia. We took all
this stuff from other countries, but we never took good seasoning.
I need to add my own for my own, sorry
(01:42:47):
for ten and this into the food channel. I don't
know if you sound like that, Jackie, but you know
I'm hoping you do. Otherwise. I was just defensive. No,
I said all the time England conquered the world for
spices and then decided you don't need to use any
other but Andre Adams for four ninety nine. Is Jack
Perry built like he hides in the bushes for no reason.
(01:43:11):
I love a good Andrea Adams combat like embarrassing like
that because he gives the best ones. He gives the
best ones. Oh my goodness. All right, well we've got
about fifteen We got about fifteen minutes left. So do
(01:43:31):
we try to finish up Morton Downey this week or
do we push it to next week?
Speaker 5 (01:43:36):
If we do this, can we just be done with it?
Speaker 1 (01:43:42):
I kind of want to Yeah, I kind of want
to just get it over with.
Speaker 5 (01:43:46):
I don't want to do it too. And if we
can't get it done in fifteen minutes, it's okay. Yeah,
it's okay.
Speaker 2 (01:43:55):
I saw I saw the Russia super jats and I thought,
maybe bump it. But you know what, you're right, You're right,
that's what we should do. No, we're done.
Speaker 1 (01:44:03):
I mean I'm sure. I mean, unless people are going
to be more generous, well, you know, we'll hit that
at the end of the U on the other side.
So let's uh, yeah, let let's let's do this.
Speaker 2 (01:44:11):
Let's let's finish this up.
Speaker 1 (01:44:15):
All right? Here we go, want Downy.
Speaker 5 (01:44:19):
Crouch the order? What's happening in the chat?
Speaker 2 (01:44:23):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:44:23):
I tried, I tried not to pay attention.
Speaker 2 (01:44:35):
What was the guy in the mask for?
Speaker 1 (01:44:39):
Yeah, I would like to know who the random masked
man is.
Speaker 2 (01:44:42):
Who wasn't even a wrestling mask, was a scheme man.
Speaker 1 (01:44:48):
Apparently we stick on this for like, oh, so we
don't have nearly as much time as I thought we did.
Speaker 5 (01:44:53):
Because if wrestling is supposed to be real, why doesn't
Las Vegas take action on it?
Speaker 1 (01:45:02):
Why doesn't they did in the Andre fight Andre Hogan
the Rock. Certain people will take action to certain people
call it sports entertainment.
Speaker 9 (01:45:10):
Anything you want to say.
Speaker 5 (01:45:11):
I say, they overmatch, which I do with another they
overmatch another question before every match it's an exhibition.
Speaker 1 (01:45:19):
What you want to call it an exhibition?
Speaker 5 (01:45:21):
There were plenty of matches that go into.
Speaker 1 (01:45:25):
All right, so we're taking questions from the crowd. Now
Felts might actually snap somebody's neck. Please tell me they've
got Schultz like tranked or like or like off the
set at this point, because this guy asking how come
Vegas doesn't take action on it?
Speaker 2 (01:45:40):
Schultz should twist his head off.
Speaker 6 (01:45:46):
Professional Tell me back in just a second, get this
camera on.
Speaker 2 (01:45:52):
We'll be back in a minute.
Speaker 6 (01:45:54):
What some of the guests of mooting down a stay
This is easier than I thought.
Speaker 1 (01:46:04):
No, no, no, we're coming back.
Speaker 2 (01:46:08):
At a saying well, let me ask him what this
picture is here?
Speaker 6 (01:46:13):
Oh? That picture up camera? Can you see that? Camra
get that picture?
Speaker 3 (01:46:17):
That's the term the camera on?
Speaker 6 (01:46:21):
All right?
Speaker 1 (01:46:22):
Is that is that too? Is that mister too?
Speaker 2 (01:46:27):
It looks like that's his mask. I mean it looks
just like it.
Speaker 1 (01:46:29):
Yeah, oh boy, Yeah, that's it.
Speaker 10 (01:46:33):
Jimmy Jimmy Carter, the President of the United States of America.
Speaker 1 (01:46:36):
Okay, he's Jimmy Carter. That's right. Wait what was that?
Speaker 5 (01:46:43):
I can give you some background on it.
Speaker 1 (01:46:45):
Okay, go ahead.
Speaker 5 (01:46:46):
Jimmy Carter was a massive wrestling fan and mister Wrestling
number two was his favorite wrestler. When they invited him
to the White House, he almost didn't go because they
told him he had to take off his mask and
he's like, I'm not doing that. And then when Jimmy
Carter found they're like, no, you let mister Wrestling to
show up here as mister Wrestling to and even says,
mister Wrestling too on his white on his White House.
(01:47:07):
I guess past I wrote an entire.
Speaker 1 (01:47:08):
Paper that's so great. Uh yeah, you have to buy
the checking in for weapons because that kneelift is already
a deadly weapon. Oh god, we don't have a son.
Speaker 10 (01:47:21):
He's got a stranglehold on a guy that I was
in the business with the very first time I got
in What So, what I'm trying to say is we
are in the process of unmasking the politics of pro wrestling.
Speaker 1 (01:47:38):
Dumb thing, What a dumb thing to say, because it
was just hack It was just a hacking statement.
Speaker 3 (01:47:44):
Terrible.
Speaker 1 (01:47:45):
You know, he was so.
Speaker 5 (01:47:48):
But you know he was so proud of that too.
Speaker 1 (01:47:51):
Oh you know he came in here with that uprah pad.
He had the picture and everything. Schultz just looked completely disgusted.
Could I say, Jimmy, you bring a picture of Jimmy
Connor into my presence?
Speaker 8 (01:48:09):
Oh my God, makes me wish I was a basketball
player so I could have slammed dunks them.
Speaker 5 (01:48:16):
God, Okay, I just want to I want to.
Speaker 9 (01:48:18):
I want to. First thing, this man said that I
was prejudiced.
Speaker 5 (01:48:22):
I'm not presuded right now.
Speaker 2 (01:48:23):
I'm a professional bounty hunter.
Speaker 5 (01:48:25):
I know, and pick up criminals.
Speaker 3 (01:48:26):
Off the street.
Speaker 2 (01:48:27):
And they're they're white, their garf can I lock them up?
Speaker 1 (01:48:30):
And I take and they're white, I beat the head
out of their white Assess the black house.
Speaker 2 (01:48:38):
Think about.
Speaker 1 (01:48:41):
They never they never make.
Speaker 2 (01:48:43):
It and the tiny Japanese I don't care.
Speaker 8 (01:48:47):
And they're out here arguing and bitching about somebody kicked
them out of the business.
Speaker 2 (01:48:51):
I was put under the business. Nobody wants to use me.
Speaker 6 (01:48:55):
You want to.
Speaker 1 (01:49:01):
Wait a second, Oh my god, this just degenerates into
just like nonsense screaming Albano's Albano's trying to get in there,
moy and Danny. You keep saying you want to wrestle him.
Schultz looks like he's about to choke him. Look at
his hands there. He's dying to hurt this man.
Speaker 3 (01:49:17):
And the guy in the middle looks like a painting
at this point.
Speaker 8 (01:49:20):
Yeah, the nasties, you know what, Yeah, gotta love it
doesn't matter whether it's really fake.
Speaker 1 (01:49:34):
He's doing so down. He is doing his like closing statement,
and Albano is screaming about whites and blacks in the back. Uh,
the opinions expressed of this program and not necessarily those
are the producer of this station.
Speaker 5 (01:49:54):
Anywhere.
Speaker 1 (01:49:57):
He's still screaming.
Speaker 2 (01:50:00):
That's how all they went out, didn't they.
Speaker 5 (01:50:02):
Yeah, that's what I thought they all discribed.
Speaker 1 (01:50:05):
Man, all right, guys, we got there walk away they
we finally got through them.
Speaker 4 (01:50:11):
All.
Speaker 1 (01:50:14):
John Jay id nine says, where can I find more
about the wrestling two story? You mean just about like
wrestling too in general, Like go watch the moll Mid South.
He's one of the main guys over there.
Speaker 2 (01:50:24):
Yeah, if you want to, if you want to learn
about oh, you want to learn about that story in particular,
go to Pro Wrestling Stories the website. Look up mister
Wrestling Too. There's a whole article about him protecting his
gimmick and they talk a lot about the Nammy Carter stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:50:37):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, But I mean two is such a
he's such a fascinating wrestler. I mean, who who knew that?
Like back then, a guy who you know, an old man,
an old man in a lucha mask and basically a
white white trunks look like a diaper, caught himself. Mister
Wrestling Too was the most over babyface and then he
(01:51:00):
turns heel on Magnum Ta in the eighties and it's
monstrously over as a heel, just incredibly over. I mean, look,
I love watching old territory stuff because it's the kind
of wrestling that I like, but I haven't seen it
so like to me, it's brand new, Like I'm watching
Brent Jim Duggan matches that I've never seen before, Ted
(01:51:20):
Dbiassi matches that I've never seen before, Junkyard dog matches
and stuff like that. It's really really good. Yeah, I
want to.
Speaker 2 (01:51:28):
Talk about those matches.
Speaker 7 (01:51:30):
If you want to check out those matches, you know,
in a modern style, just turn your YouTube up, you know,
with the speed level to like two two times at speed.
Speaker 4 (01:51:40):
You know.
Speaker 1 (01:51:41):
Sometimes these guys pull out some things that you're like, wow,
if somebody today it would get such a huge pop because,
like I truly feel that way, because it's creative stuff
that looks devastating that you don't see anymore. And yes,
some of this stuff will surprise you too, so uh yeah,
I highly recommend that I've been trying. Mid South is
(01:52:03):
the one I've been mostly watching. Uh but I also
definitely recommend any of the territories. They're all you know,
they're all fantastic. You can catch them all on Peacock
go ahead.
Speaker 7 (01:52:12):
I saw Luths do an elbow. It was a very
unique elbow. So what he'd do was he'd take his
elbow and jam it in the guy's face and then
he'd do this. It was awes cool they got they
got to bring that stuff back.
Speaker 1 (01:52:26):
That's got a cool heel maneuver. I could see that.
Speaker 2 (01:52:28):
Oh yeah, yeah, you want to talk about heat. By
the way, you're talking about mister wrestling, I believe does
everybody know who mister Wrestling three was?
Speaker 3 (01:52:37):
No Bob Casey, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:52:41):
Vince Russo was mister Wrestling three?
Speaker 5 (01:52:44):
What?
Speaker 2 (01:52:45):
Yes, in TNA, Vince Russo was mister Wrestling three. He
got pulled out the old mister wrestling mask and he
came out and they called him mister Wrestling three for
weeks and it turned out to be Vince Russo.
Speaker 1 (01:52:59):
Did they actually ring two in or were they just
being disrespectful?
Speaker 2 (01:53:02):
They were just being disrespectful. Vince Russo is being disrespectful.
Speaker 5 (01:53:08):
He just wore the basket as disrespectful as egend Christian being.
Speaker 1 (01:53:13):
Yeah. Yeah, I don't know. Two died recently. I think
in the last couple of years. Two died, right, it was?
It was it was pretty recent, so he lived a
long life.
Speaker 2 (01:53:26):
I got it was. It was a It was an
interesting statement because it was during the sports entertainment extreme thing,
So it was Russo saying that he is what in
capsules wrestling now, you know it kind of jumped the
shark though, when Nikita Koloff came in and was mister
Wrestling for that was when a Sports Sports Entertainment extreme
(01:53:46):
s e X.
Speaker 5 (01:53:50):
It's a swerve, bro look at from the cage.
Speaker 6 (01:53:55):
Gifted.
Speaker 1 (01:53:56):
Gilbertie is saying two died in the late twenty tens.
I thought he died. I thought, I remember seeing recently
that he had died. Moment me look it up. If
that's the case, that I'm.
Speaker 2 (01:54:08):
Wrong, says still alive?
Speaker 3 (01:54:11):
Mm Demolition acts. Is he still around?
Speaker 2 (01:54:14):
No, he died.
Speaker 1 (01:54:15):
He died June tenth, June tenth, twenty twenty, at eighty
five years old. Mister wrestling too, I'm pretty fair.
Speaker 2 (01:54:23):
Yeah, yeah, is alive A year off? So, I mean,
he said, I remember, right.
Speaker 1 (01:54:30):
I remember because like I had first gotten on Twitter,
you know, like back during the pandemic era and stuff
like that, and I remember calling Kevin and losing my
mind because when mister Wrestling two died, people were people
were like, oh he was racist, and they were like
just disrespecting the crap out of him, and like that's
(01:54:50):
like one of my heroes. Like I was like, I
will not stand for that because you know that nobody
was of course, nobody was bringing any receipts. It was
just he said. She said. But yeah, now, mister rustl To,
I mean I I the first time I heard of
him and saw him, I was like, what the heck
is this? And then the more I watched him mid South,
the more I was like, Ah, this guy's this guy's it,
this guy's legit. All right, Well, we're about to end,
(01:55:13):
so I'm gonna we're gonna be redirecting you guys at
the end here to a that park Play stream that
I'm gonna be on at ten o'clock. We're gonna be
