Speaker 1 (00:08):
Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to the aew All in twenty
twenty four Media Scrum live from London, England. Now please
welcome the biggest boy in all of London, the man
who made Wembley Stadium famous, the booker of legends, the
bringer backer of sting, the collector of Meltzer stars, the

(00:30):
one the only Tony Khan.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
To meet Cough wrestle and save your air. He's the Bob. Yeah,
he'sy to meet co Excuan Wressel Loosbergs and he might
be your drugs.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Heasy to.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
Reading media outlets covering real pro wrestling. It is I
the inner of all, the crowner of champions, the man
who managed to get through a major show without any
major backstage brawls. Tony come, I sure am excited to
see so many familiar faces out here today. Familiar because
you're all obviously handpicked to come in here and ask

(01:20):
me preapproved questions.

Speaker 5 (01:21):
That make me look good. Now, who wants to go first?

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Ah? Yes you there? Hi? Ho, Tony Thurston Brandonson here
from Russell Blomis. I'm just wanted to ask how the
hell you're so cool? How do you do it? Weekend
and week out. You're just so cool.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
I am so glad you asked it. I would say
some people have to work at being coo and some
people are just born that way.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Thank you, Tony, You're an inspiration I know.

Speaker 5 (01:50):
And what were the sound decibel levels tonight?

Speaker 6 (01:53):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (01:53):
I don't know. You haven't told me what you report yet.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
Yeah, right, meda, let's get those numbers over to him asap. Okay,
who's next?

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Yes you, sir? Yeah, I couldn't help. But notice there
was no announcement of the attendance this year. What the hell?

Speaker 5 (02:07):
I wasn't on that preper Wait, don't I know you?

Speaker 7 (02:10):
Nope?

Speaker 1 (02:11):
So what's up with the low attendance?

Speaker 5 (02:13):
We didn't have low attendance.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
We do have very respectable fifty thousand people and we're
very proud of that fact.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Then why didn't you announce it live like you did
last year?

Speaker 4 (02:22):
You already had your question, who's next?

Speaker 5 (02:24):
Yes you, sair?

Speaker 7 (02:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (02:26):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Follow up on that guy's question, why didn't you announce
the attendance like you did last year?

Speaker 5 (02:31):
Wait, you definitely look familiar.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Oh uh, I'm the owner of Tony kahan as extremely
popular dot net.

Speaker 5 (02:39):
Oh I love that site.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Yes, I'm sure you do. Now, why didn't you announce
the attendance?

Speaker 4 (02:45):
Well, they were under time constraints because of the curfew,
and I didn't want to take any precious seconds away
from all the Stopwatch cruise percentage.

Speaker 5 (02:52):
It's all very technical. You wouldn't understand.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Yeah, I definitely don't follow up question. What was the
point of bringing Staying back to run off the same
guys that he beat in his retirement match only a
few months after said retirement.

Speaker 5 (03:05):
I mean, wait, you already asked your question, and.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Can you explain how you didn't realize that MJF streamers
would get caught in the lighting fixture? Well? Aah, And that,
coupled with the fake money from Ocata's entrance all over
the place in Mercedes's carriage remaining on the stage for
the rest of the show, made the entire event progressively
look more and more like a garbage dump?

Speaker 5 (03:24):
Is that even a question?

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Did you think that it was appropriate to deface the
American flag with mjf's face. What kind of political statement
are you making there?

Speaker 6 (03:33):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Come on, why do you hate our troops? I don't Also,
how was it that your production team missed the finish
of the hook Jericho match because it was focused on
Taz trying and failing to do the Taz mission on
someone because did you tell Mercedes Money that she had
a good match when she got to the back, or
did you tell her the truth?

Speaker 3 (03:52):
That's a enough it did say, don't worry, Tony, I'm
a here, and I think it's just disgusting that anyone
would focus on the negative after such a glorious night.
I'm giving every match on this show five plus star ratings,
which means this show had better matches than Sean Michael's

(04:13):
versus Undertaker at WrestleMania twenty five. So what at the
show drew thirty thousand less people than last year in
the exact same building, and over twenty thousand less than
last year's actual real number. All so one, if Mercedes
Monette is being paid ten million dollars a year, it
went out there and had the worst bombing in London

(04:34):
since nineteen forty one. So what if he broke the
law and defy its of US Code S seven hundred
that criminalizes the defacement of the American flag by putting
Mjf's face on it, We're not in the US tonight.

Speaker 5 (04:45):
Pal, where's in that thing anymore?

Speaker 3 (04:48):
What matters is that this show was slightly better than
everyone's meager expectations, which can only mean in the courthouse
of Twitter, that the verdict is that it was the
single greatest professional wrestling show.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Of all time.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Yeah, it doesn't matter if next year they're being forced
into a stadium half the size, because the competition is
going to come in and use this building for WrestleMania.

Speaker 5 (05:08):
Wait, you don't need to.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
And so what if Taylor Swift broke his fake record
from last year by putting over ninety three thousand fans
in this building just a week ago for b And
so what if you pooped his pants in the back
because he didn't want to stop watching his show to
go to them.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Al Right, enough, I've had it.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
We're not here to spread negativity. We're here to flip
my ego and make me feel like a success.

Speaker 5 (05:27):
Now, enough of these questions.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
Let's bring out some of my wrestlers, ladies and gentlemen.
Mercedes Monee, where is she? What do you mean her
in perpeker fighting in the back? What do you mean
pret Begger is currently braining her with the Zeo Crystal?

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Then again, well, it looks like I got to catch
the red Eye back to the States, because it's time
to get this party started on Tony Talk Wrestling.

Speaker 6 (06:02):
Me No.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
Sup you.

Speaker 8 (06:48):
Trouble You're my please by Trouble the super Boy.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
Al Right, it is Tuesday night in Tuny Town, and
that can only mean one thing. It is time for
the fastest rising pro wrestling livestream podcast on the Internet.
It is time for Tony Talked Wrestling.

Speaker 6 (07:42):
Folks.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
I'm movin and I'm the movie monster and we have
please to bring you guys another action packed well not
really action. Nobody's actually fight well you have no Kevin
Apollo my cad upity.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Speaking of which, let's bring in my good friend and
co host, the one and only mister Kevin Apolo.

Speaker 7 (07:58):
What up bye? By the way, the bears outside making noise?

Speaker 1 (08:02):
Is he really like he's out there right now?

Speaker 7 (08:04):
Right now?

Speaker 1 (08:05):
Oh oh man, we're making a run in. If any
like bare sounding music hits, that we're gonna know. But
don't worry. If he's anything like Sting, he'll wait for
the music to hit and then slowly walk his way
out slotely. Well. Well, his protoge is doused in gasoline
with a lit flame hovering above him. He will slowly

(08:27):
me under his way out. Oh my goodness. Uh so,
Kevin Opoulo, why do you hate our troops? I figured
that line would get you. I wrote that one. I
wrote that one specifically for you. I was like, Kevin
de Paul's gonna laugh at this one.

Speaker 7 (08:44):
Then you know what you got me with the worst bombing.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
Worst bombing in lon of is nineteen forty one. Yeah.
I thigured that was gonna get a lot of people.
I was like, too much. Nah, it's been enough time.
They could probably all laugh at it by now. All right.
Also joining us this week, folks, a good friend and colleague,
the one and only a e W Disciplinary Committee a k.
A disc from the land of maxed out media. Hello,
dis hi? Did you call Kevin uppity? Is that what I?

Speaker 6 (09:15):
You know?

Speaker 1 (09:15):
I I think he might get uppity?

Speaker 6 (09:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (09:22):
Well, you know you demonetized, all right? The bombing of
London choke wasn't what was that?

Speaker 7 (09:32):
De monetization in five Yeah?

Speaker 1 (09:35):
Convincing demonetization And go ahead, I have marks all over
my screen today. You do you do? Sheeapskate?

Speaker 6 (09:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (09:45):
My uh it's not. It's the the s so yeah, right,
so I can't tell that you're actually paying for the service.
So I get it. I get it. Also, folks, joining
us this week a good friend. He's here every single week.
He is. He is a resident of Touny Town, himself
the one and only Awful Wrestling.

Speaker 6 (10:05):
Hello everybody, Hey, Marv, did you say Mega in the beginning,
I thought I heard yes.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
He always he always talks to He always talks to Mega.
That's the person like he he always had. He always
has Mega off screens, always like Mega Mega, you gotta
do that, Like, yeah, that's what you like. She's always
the one because she's the only like a w one.
I suppose it could be Christopher Daniels, but I've already
come so far with the Mega thing. I don't even
think she works for aw anymore. But it's still just

(10:31):
funny to me. But guys would like I thought you
guys would like Thirsty Brandon, I put I put that
in for you. Guys. Oh, and you're ongoing feud with
the man, But we are gonna talk about him later
on tonight. But guys, we've got a ton of wrestling
news to get to this week. Uh, It has been
a big week from all in uh last weekend to

(10:54):
Bash of Berlin coming this weekend. And guys, if you're
gonna be watching Bash of Berlin this Saturday, and most
of you probably are, it's on us starting at twelve
thirty pm for another watch poty. And that's what we decided.
Instead of calling them watch alongs, we're gonna start calling
them watch potties because it really does feel like a potty.
It really does feel like you're hanging out with friends.
You know, you're sitting around, you're chit chatting, you're making

(11:14):
fun of things that you see on TV. But you
know what, let's get to some super chats. We got
some building up here before the show started. Right away,
I just gotta I gotta put out Colin Taylor being
extraordinarily generous again for fifty dollars apropos of nothing. If
you replace the word evolution in evolutions theme with circumcision,
the song still works. Huh.

Speaker 9 (11:36):
Circumcision is mystery as your dang mystery circumcision.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
Yeah, that kind of works. Colin. Thank you so much, man,
You're so generous, and you know you you you help
out this channel more than you know. We appreciate you.
I know that it's late over there in the land
of the Rising sun. So and Siren the cat over
there appreciates you as well. She's actually showing her face

(12:13):
instead of a bum hoole tonight. So that is a
welcome change from uh wait, no, here comes yep, there
it is. There we go. Now it's Tony Talk Wrestley. Oh,
our friend John j id nine ninety nine. Also the
you know, one of the moms that we're on a
discord server, Bo Dallas looks like skate Tumbledore. He kind

(12:36):
of does. By the way, big happy birthday to John.
He just turned twenty one years old, and we don't
know why he's with us instead of going out there
and getting all debaucherous.

Speaker 6 (12:47):
But yeah, I was gonna say that, like, hope he
was knee deep in some poon.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
So I hope so too go out there and he's
pregaming right now.

Speaker 6 (12:56):
Okay, yeah enough, he's.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
But twenty one. He's like, you know, he can do everything. Now,
there's nothing you know he doesn't have, Like he's not
bad from doing anything anymoy I said. He's gone from
being a zygot to being an actual fetus.

Speaker 6 (13:09):
Now, oh god, so.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
John also says, where do you all see Taqushta going
back to ae W or to w W A a
W Tony Tony will pay him far more than w
WI ever will to keep him in the family, and
I don't. I don't foresee w w W is not
gonna match, but I don't. I don't think we go
to WWE, but I could easily see him going back
to Japan. He did not seem happy in A well,

(13:33):
I mean, that's definitely possible. It's just it all depends
on how much Tony's willing to shell out to keep
his toy box full, and what we've seen in the
past that he is willing to shell out quite a
bit for that. So I don't know.

Speaker 10 (13:47):
I guess he's uh in the main event of the
first Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling from Scott de Moore.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
He's wrestling Josh Alexander there, so oh, well, that's fun.
I like him. I like him a lot. I've never
cared enough about Takesha to actually look into his contract
and like see what's going on, So yeah, you know,
I'm sure it probably could be coming up. I just
don't know. Kevin, what do you think stay in stay
in AW, go to WWE or back to Japan.

Speaker 7 (14:18):
I don't care.

Speaker 6 (14:19):
Yeah, he was actually a good personality though. Yeah he
was the best one was Yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
Is he the one with the Dave Manson said they
took out his brain or is that?

Speaker 2 (14:32):
No?

Speaker 10 (14:33):
Lakesha is much younger. He has a much bigger upside.
He has a great look. His brain has never left
his head, he reminds. No, he reminds me a lot
of younger Shinsky. I could you know, I could see
w didn't making a play for him.

Speaker 7 (14:47):
Actually, this one, you know, I will say, I hope
he leaves just for the sake of his career progression,
because he did look like he was being held captive,
and it's just it's just an absolute waste. The only
the only company to waste the Japanese wrestler worst than
what they have with him was when TNA absolutely wasted

(15:09):
Ocada the first time around.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
Sure, he was the one that I think is wasting
Ocada a lot more than TNA did.

Speaker 10 (15:16):
He was the one that tweeted the thing out about
how it wasn't fun anymore, how AW made it not
fun for him?

Speaker 1 (15:22):
So okay, you know, yeah, yeah, ah, so Tony might
not want him anymore, so you never know, you know,
when you dare to speak out against the emperor with
no clothes, bad things tend to happen. By the way,
In the Phineas and ferb song parody that's gonna be
coming up, one of the lines is locating Shipbota his brain.

(15:42):
It's over here, Jesus Meltzer is the one that goes
it's over here. So a little preview for you guys
whenever I actually get around to making these song parodies. Uh,
there's so much going on. We're going to daily content
on Tuning Down Wrestling, We're gonna be doing. We're gonna
be trying to do every single day clips from the
podcast and the live streams that are gonna be sandwiched

(16:03):
between openings and closings featuring the Headlock Headlines crew plus
the actual Headlock Headlines you know, coming out when we
have enough material to make a full episode.

Speaker 10 (16:13):
That was funny on Twitter how you posted, Hey, we're
gonna have an opening with the Headlock Headlines s crew.
In the first comment is that's awesome. When's Headlock Headlines
coming out?

Speaker 1 (16:22):
I didn't even see that. It's a good thing. I
didn't see that because because oh man, I probably would
have said something nasty.

Speaker 6 (16:28):
I had to have a therapy session in the back chat.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
I know you, and you the amount of work that
I've been doing. Just shut up, all right. Shaggy filth
seventy three for ten dollars says, no question, just support
for the channel. Thank you so much, love you guys,
keep it up. Side note, Apollo may be my spirit animal.
Ah that there you go, give you somebody's spirit. Would

(16:53):
I would like to say you're more, You're more of
a patronis like a bunch of dementors are attacking and
someone goes expect out patronum and angry bald black guy
comes out of their wand it just starts messing up
the dementas.

Speaker 7 (17:06):
I don't think I'm angry. I think I'm excitable.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
No, Kevin, I'm actually friend for twenty years. I have
to break it to you. You get angry, you can't
get angry, and you know, like typically like me when
I'm angry. I find that I like you better when
you're angry because you're more. You're like entertaining when you're angry.
So you didn't used to be like that? Well, I
remember the day that you snapped, But that's not the
head of there all the Hadra Melendez for four ninety

(17:33):
nine says, Tuxedo dom beat his deadbeat dad, and our
beloved Mooton Princess saved him from the wench yet again
with a noble sacrifice from Sirs Carledo and j D.
I love how Ali Andro is just giving a sailor moon.
Play by plays of the dominic mysterial Live Morgan Relationship
every week. Andre Adams for four ninety nine, Thank you

(17:55):
so much and thanks for being here every week. Guys.
The young Bucks built like they still get bully by kids.
They got fifteen year old rivals. Oh, I could totally
see that.

Speaker 6 (18:06):
I loved.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
I loved when it wasn't. I think if Anna Evan
said one time, he's like if I he was like
if I thought that Scott Hole and Kevin Nashville mad
at me. I'm going into hiding. If the Young Bucks
I find out the Young Bucks have a heat with me,
I'm rolling up my sleeves and going, all right, boys,
who wants it first? All right? Miss October thirty for
four ninety nine. I've never felt so angry about main

(18:29):
Event Championship in my life, wrong person one at all
in We're gonna talk about that a little bit later.
I'm not angry. I don't hate it, just because I
like Danielson and I think I might actually understand the
why behind it. And if this is the case, then
it was smart. And I think I disagrees with me
on that. I'm saying disagrees, not just.

Speaker 6 (18:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
I know it's like resign and resign. Yes, swerve re signed.
He did not resign, So there you go. But we
will definitely talk about that. And thank you very much.
You sucked up a third for your super chat. Rex
Gardner for five euros says aw are all about keeping
it in the family. Why Alabama love aw All Elite,

(19:14):
wind Chest God, I love you guys. You guys are
monsters and that's what I love about you. It makes
me feel like I'm home again. What else we got? Why?
I get J eighty one for five dollars. I can't
wait for man Cain to show up from the crowd
and tombstone Daniel Brian Danielson on the desk, give us
that post title win feel again?

Speaker 6 (19:35):
Good?

Speaker 1 (19:36):
Lord love it. Ruben Hot for five dollars to quote
a great man. Do you like pie because my brother
Kane loves pie? Oh my goodness. BW Roses for two dollars?
How long do you think Ricochet's AW contract is? At
least four years? At the very minute, Mom, I'm saying five.

(19:57):
Tony like five year contracts, so he likes five year contracts.
But he also really likes eight year contracts, so you
never know.

Speaker 10 (20:05):
His contract will last as long as AW is still
in existence.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
Yeah, right?

Speaker 1 (20:11):
How long? How long are soul bonds?

Speaker 11 (20:17):
If he's smart, it's a six month, six month contract
and then month a month afterwards.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
Hey mov John Williams for four ninety nine. Oh, I'm
a big fan of your music. I think you meant Hey, Mom,
I think you mentioned once Vince was planned to be
a character for the show. Do you have any plan
running gags for him?

Speaker 12 (20:37):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (20:37):
Man, I mean we had so many. Uh, A lot
of them have kind of been rolled into triple H.
Running gags like the policing of like the words and
like like pay per view and pl E and all that.
Like a lot of that was going to be Vince stuff.

Speaker 10 (20:50):
And not not recognizing anybody, right, yes, yeah, not knowing
anything out of the WWE bubble that was also going
to be a Vinced thing.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
Oh my god, just an utter session with with phallic
shaped objects was going to be a Vince thing because
Vince loves dongs. Kevin, what is the sound that is
made when Vince mc when you ring Vince mc man's dogbell.

Speaker 7 (21:10):
Dong dong dong dong dong dong.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
Yes, there are no dings in Vince McMahon's dogbell, only Donalds.
But yes, I know, and you know, we'll see what
the future holds and what you know the legal system
has in stall for him. Johnny Cage for ten dollars
to any TWN exclusive I have signed with a w
only facing Orange Cassidy in a pockets versus sunglasses match.

(21:36):
Oh please please work stiff that night rooting for the
for the Split Legged Crotch Shop. But he'll just know
sell it cat TV for five dollars. Random question? Is
Kevin strong enough to lift Paul Hayman on his own
and put him through a table? Do you think you
can lift Paul Hayman?

Speaker 6 (21:55):
Yes?

Speaker 7 (21:55):
But Thana, Yeah, I've looked the way fatter than Paul Hamon. Yeah,
I was gonna drop the guy's name, but I feel
that's in bad taste as he's no longer with us. Yeah,
but yeah, I would never hurt the wise Man. No, no,
yes I could, but I never would.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
Who would besides a bunch of ECW guys that he
owed money to plenty of picks a lot and Tommy
Dreamer apparently for over hot minute plenty of picks a
lot for two dollars. It's Apollo. That cat is adorable.

Speaker 7 (22:27):
Thank you?

Speaker 1 (22:28):
V W Roses for two dollars says how violent do
you think Swerve and Hangman will be far more violent
than is than is necessary? I would say just based
on you know, based on like, where where else do
you go? How do you escalate a few that has
already had them drinking each other's blood? Where do you
go from here?

Speaker 6 (22:47):
A would be nice?

Speaker 10 (22:49):
Oh no, wait a second, is this when they bring
back the exploding barbed wire?

Speaker 13 (22:54):
No?

Speaker 6 (22:55):
Please, please one more time?

Speaker 1 (22:58):
Yes, you know the one you now that we have
to actually watch this stuff? I would love I would
love for that to happen. Uh, Miss October thirty, why
does Tony like to copy WWE? He hates them? Because
Miss October, he doesn't actually hate them. He loves them.
He's a huge WWE fan. He is He's desperately trying
to be the WWE, which is why he signs all

(23:20):
that talent. Yeah, he's He's just a wrestling mark and
and that's the thing. He is a fan at the
end of the day. And but you know they're the enemy,
and they have to be the enemy, and you know
that's it's it's it is the case of the the
grown men who boo John Cena but then still do
the you can't see me along with him when he.

Speaker 6 (23:39):
Does, and would mark out the second they saw him
in person.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
Oh, one hundred percent. One hundred percent. So uh, all right, guys, Uh,
where do we want to start this week? Do we
want to preview Baship but Lynn first? Do we want
to digest all In? Or do we want to save
all In for a little bit later since you know
we we just you know, did all of that.

Speaker 11 (24:00):
I must say just a quick sidetrack. If anybody has
not already heard our live stream of the broadcast of
All In, I so recommend you do it. It's a
great listen. I didn't have to watch the show when
I was, you know, doing some some projects. It's so phenomenal.

(24:23):
How we all melt together. And I just want to
thank you guys because it sounded awesome. You don't have
to watch a thing, just listen to it and you'll
be highly entertained.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
Well, you know, don't don't don't throw your back, don't
throw your shoulder out, pat and yourself on the back
there off of But you.

Speaker 6 (24:39):
Know, I was there for like a half hour now,
thank you.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
That was It was a fun show, Like despite the
fact that we were watching an aw pay per view
and a week ago, I was dreading this so desperately.
It was. It was just a lot of fun. Had
I had a lot of fun. You know, we laughed
a lot. Yeah, I think we played a w bingo.

Speaker 6 (25:00):
That was funny.

Speaker 1 (25:01):
We looked at some we looked at some tops. We watched.
It's like it's like a vacation slide show back in
the day, what we did. Let's I was. I loved it.
I am a little upset to find out that the
early the early cut time was because of curfew and

(25:22):
not because they are going to be doing shorter shows
for now on. Yeah, that was because now why they
have curfew, because they're like lighting London on fire. Every
night because of the building. Apparently it's a building curfew.
I thought it was I thought it was a UK
thing because there's like violence in the streets there lately.
Maybe yeah, it's possible, but uh, oh you know what.

(25:45):
Oh we'll get to the super Chat first. Ye yeah,
if the colin tail of a ten dollars thank you buddy,
he says, there's a second exploding Bob. Why a match?
TK needs to stop by his seven eleven Japanese seven
eleven and pick up some fireworks to upgrade a game.
They have fireworks at Japanese seven eleven's that, yeah, because
they trust them, because they trust their people not to
be done with it right.

Speaker 6 (26:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (26:04):
If you, if you, if you, if you talk to
the right guy, give the right words, you can get them.

Speaker 7 (26:08):
Usually called the guy who actually built it and then
didn't listen to them.

Speaker 1 (26:16):
M m m. You know my guy the sparkles. We
need to get that as just like a clip that
we can play. I have to make I have to
make like a like a thank you video that's like
shorter so you know, it was no because like I

(26:37):
want to be able to play when people like super
Chat really well. And one of the things I want
in there is the exploding ring, but then again we
might get shut down for that, so you never know
because it is an a W clip ret a source
of five dollars. I know I said this on pros
Show earlier, but it's worth repeating here. Rest In p Sid, Udy,
Psycho Sid, two time shap w w W and beloved
dad and grandpa. Absolutely so you know what, let that's

(26:59):
let's let's start there before we get into the yuck yucks. Yeah,
the wrestling world had another loss this week. We lost
Sid Vicious Sid Justice if you will. Psycho Sid, you know,
passed away very young. He was in his sixties, right, keV.

Speaker 7 (27:14):
Yeah, only sixty three? Have cancer?

Speaker 1 (27:17):
Oh it was cancer.

Speaker 7 (27:18):
Okay, he's been fighting cancer for a few years now.
A man.

Speaker 1 (27:21):
That's really sad. Well, you know, yeah, let's talk about
and talk a bit about guys like this. I know
you're a big Sid fan. I want you to talk
a bit about like some of his career highlights, some
of his h some of your favorite Sid moments. I
loved early.

Speaker 10 (27:35):
I know it's not great, but the early w c
W Sid like posts guy is great. When he was
feuding with Sting, and then he was in the Masters
of the Power Bomb and that kind of stuff.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
It was that was when the White Castle of Fear
and stuff happened. Yeah yeah, real, yeah, yeah, real Hochy.

Speaker 10 (27:53):
But I was right at the right age, like when
Barry Wyndham came out dresses Sting while Sting was fighting
Sid at Halloween Havoc.

Speaker 1 (28:00):
He has some good moments back then though, too. I
mean there was War Games ninety one was really good.
Really his stuff with skyscrapers was was really good.

Speaker 10 (28:10):
But I always respected the way Sid kind of just
he did what he If he didn't want to do something,
he'd just leave.

Speaker 1 (28:18):
It wasn't like he you know what I mean, I
respect that. There's a respect that goes there. Like if
I'm not down with this, I'm not gonna stick around
and fight and cause problems backstage. I'm just gonna leave.
I mean, I know he had some problems. Yeah, I'm
gonna go play something.

Speaker 10 (28:32):
I know he has some problems in WW early when
he was young, but later on you can look at
his stuff and he was just like if he got
handed something he didn't want to do, he'd just be like,
all right, you know what I don't need to be here.

Speaker 1 (28:41):
I'll go home.

Speaker 10 (28:42):
I'll go I'll go hang out in ECW for a while,
do a couple of shows there. I'll You know, when
he faked injuries every softball season because he wanted to
play softball.

Speaker 1 (28:52):
That's I know. There's my favorite is still Oh well,
dude again, we're a laugh pal.

Speaker 10 (29:02):
And and the fact that he got out like he
had a bad injury and he healed up, but you
didn't see him like going around and bouncing around to
different indie feds or messing around in Japan or going
to Mexico or trying to keep something alive.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
Like he he went home. He became a family man,
you know. He and his family from all accounts, seemed
to love him. And everyone who's interacted with interacted with
him since his wrestling career have always said great things.
He showed up. He never came back on a big
stage after that gruesome leg break.

Speaker 7 (29:37):
Yeah, just that one night on Raw. Yeah, one random
night on Raw.

Speaker 1 (29:42):
Was it TNA or was it some other upstock promotion
where like their first episode they had they had sit
out there and he was still walking with a cane.
I want to see that was world Wrestling All Stars
in Australia.

Speaker 7 (29:54):
World Wrestling All Stars All Sports. I love that pay
per view. I still watching Blue Moon because I think
it's just absolutely.

Speaker 1 (30:02):
The crow Their Crowbar Saboo match was fantastic. Yes. By
the way, speaking of which, we're we're working on getting
Crowbar on the show. We I've talked to him. Kev's
talked to him, so you know that's good. It's gonna happen.

Speaker 7 (30:14):
I'll touch to find out when he's uh, when he's ready.

Speaker 1 (30:19):
Producer neck Beard, a huge Sid Vicious fan, Uh says
I met him. He was a super nice man. And
by the way, speaking of super nice people producing neck Beard,
the hot and soul of this show, the man who
runs it behind the scenes just you know, could not
say enough nice things about this man if I had
the entire three hours of the show. Uh, he says,
RVD told a great story. But Sid's kindness when he

(30:40):
was a WWF job guy. That's really nice to hear
because a lot of the guys are just like horrible
to the job guys. But yes, all hail the wise
man neck Beard. So yeah, Sid. My favorite Sid moment though,
is some this match made in Heaven match made in
Hell while the Ultimate Warrior is in the back being fired.
Uh when Hogan calls Sid back out to the ring

(31:02):
and he's like doing the like come on back, like
come on out, and he's like motioning to the curtain,
and Sid's ed just pops through the curtain, all surprised,
like ooh me. Sid was supposed to be the new
Hogan after WrestleMania Ate, right, like that was supposed to
be a passing of the torch.

Speaker 6 (31:20):
Oh yeah, boy did they try.

Speaker 1 (31:22):
Oh that didn't happen.

Speaker 7 (31:23):
Well, the left, like you remember, like they people started
booing Hogan every time, every time they fought, well.

Speaker 1 (31:34):
Because Hogan was clearly the heel in that feud.

Speaker 7 (31:36):
I'm sorry, people just people just love them some Sid.
It's just it's what.

Speaker 1 (31:41):
I was talking about with him not not putting up
with that stuff.

Speaker 10 (31:44):
Like he he saw that he was being booked as
a heel despite his reactions, and he said, you know what,
I'll just go back to WCW whatever, you guys have fun.
And he did, and he went back to WCW and
had a good run in WCW. And then when that
ran back, you know, yeah, that's when that was when
the White Castle of Fear and all that stuff and
was right around.

Speaker 6 (32:00):
The Yeah, and he wore he wore flip flops on
the beach, my boy Smith.

Speaker 7 (32:09):
Yeah, one of one of my favorite said moments, and
not just because that was at that pay per view,
but when Sid made his e c W debut and
apparently punished for all of all the world sins those
power bobs and choke slams, it was like being in
the Roman Coliseum with those bloodthirsty animals just wanting said

(32:32):
to murder this man who they are supposed to love.

Speaker 1 (32:36):
So keV what was what was the e c W
was it? Was it at the arena or was this
in uh we we were got w Yeah. What was
the reaction to Sid when he came out? Because you'd
think the e c W crowd would not want Sid.

Speaker 7 (32:52):
Sid came out and it was like it was an
l O D pop. It was thunder the sorry oh
yeah no, I know on this on the well because listen,
e c W fans were the good kind of tribal.
They were loyal to their brand, but they watched everything

(33:12):
else because they were wrestling fans. You know, the you
booed Ric Flair because Shane Douglas hated Ric Flair. You
know the you you they would boot Shawn Michaels because
Shane Douglas hated Sean Michaels. But that's well, I say, yeah,
everybody everyone.

Speaker 1 (33:29):
That Shane Douglas hates, which means that you boot a
lot of people.

Speaker 10 (33:32):
You boot a lot of people in their heart of hearts.
ECW fans liked w w F and hated w c W,
and that's that's it.

Speaker 7 (33:42):
The w W was the was there, actual was there,
actually hated rival, but like they were wrestling fans, so
like it was just fun, like you know, they they
they loved when Ron Simmons showed up and beat everybody
up for his very short tenure there. Even when he
turned heel, they were still cheering for ronson they turned
two Cold Scorpio into a main eventor but Scott Hall,

(34:06):
Scott Hall, Scott Hall coming out to the fujis. Everybody
loves that. The it's there's.

Speaker 11 (34:14):
You know what it was because but it's it's because
the e c W fans knew that, like just like
you were about to say, keV if Rick Flair or
Shawn Michaels would have rolled into that arena, they would
without without question, they would have known like, okay, they're in.
They bought into the East c W A that and

(34:35):
then they would have got the come to Jesus, you
know what I mean, Like.

Speaker 1 (34:39):
That's why, that's why Jerry Lawler got that huge pop
at first, and then when they figured out where he
was going, they knew what to do, you know, and
Cornett like massive when he show one of the happened.
What do you think would happened if the Ultimate Warrior
had actually shown up there with.

Speaker 6 (34:58):
THEO he would have got cheered.

Speaker 2 (35:00):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
Here they would have gone crazy.

Speaker 7 (35:02):
They would have gone crazy again. It's it was that
was a place for the I'm not like that was
a place for me. I'm not an eight year old
wrestling fan anymore. That that was the magic of E
c W. You got to unleash all of your teen
early twenty something angst as a fan and got to
do things that you would have never seen on any

(35:23):
other show. And you got to see your your you know,
your favorite performers when they pop on in do things
they were again like you're watching Tully. You know Tully's
spitting fire, you know his couple appearances there when the
Steiners showed up to help Taz, Like you're seeing all
this cool stuff that you would have never seen elsewhere,
or the Dusty Carino feud.

Speaker 1 (35:45):
It's just it's like, yeah, how about when how about
when oh gosh, look, oh Rick, when Rick Rude showed
up and the things that he's awesome, awesome, But you're like, oh,
this is who this guy is.

Speaker 11 (35:59):
Okay, have any have any of you guys ever gone
to the twenty three hundred arena at.

Speaker 6 (36:03):
All and witnessed DC. It's amazing.

Speaker 11 (36:06):
I used to go there like maybe once or twice
a month and what was going on? Oh yeah, definitely
because I lived in Philly at the time. It was
absolutely raucous. I got d Bond's blood on my shirt
one time. I mean, it was such a It really
was a party. And the thing about Paul Hayman is
that he really projected that through the screen.

Speaker 6 (36:28):
That atmosphere was just so electric. It was great TOI.

Speaker 10 (36:32):
Unfortunately, I was only able to see two ECW shows
live and both were the tail end. I got to
see a taping for ECW on TNN and then I
also I was actually at their second to last live
show in popular buff Missouri, and Sandman stayed after for
about an hour with Rhino drinking, and then he was

(36:55):
taking things apart and giving them to the crowd, and
it was it was a it was a it was
a fun moment, but it was bittersweet because that was
at the time when you thought, like you kind of
knew he CW was gone, but you still wanted to
listen to Paul and believe that it was coming. But
when you see them tearing things down and give them
away to people, it's like you kind of know.

Speaker 1 (37:16):
I never I never saw any c I never saw
a CW live, you know what. I honestly I probably
wouldn't have. You might not. You might guys might not
know this about me, like and in like in real life,
at things like this, I am incredibly quiet, Like I
like when you bring me to if you don't if

(37:37):
you bring me to a show, I don't cheer, I
don't scream. I want to sit there and like quietly watch.
I'm like a Japanese fan people bring. People would bring
me to like indie shows or to like sporting events,
and they'd be like, oh man, I'm just having a
terrible time, Like I'm so sorry, Like I'm like, no,
I'm like I'm watching, like I just like like we'd
go to like a we'd go to a concert, and which,

(37:59):
by the way, My Dark as Hell is a concert.
I hate concerts. I hate going to live concerts because
I want to just sit there and listen. And everybody's
standing up and now I can't see because the eighty
rows in front of me are standing up. So now
I got to stand up. I'm what, am I at church?

Speaker 6 (38:14):
But well you are three feet tall? So what the hell?

Speaker 1 (38:16):
This is true? But no, the so yeah, it's anyway,
sit in ECW. I I feel like, is that on
the Is that on Peacock? I think I want to
go back?

Speaker 7 (38:29):
It's on Peacock. And this is one of my favorite
pay per views, but mostly because I was there and
the we we were there.

Speaker 1 (38:34):
Super see you in the crowd if we watched the show.

Speaker 7 (38:37):
No, but you can see Eric because Eric during the
Eric during the Taz versus the Dudley's match, runs up
and slaps some tas his shoulder and gets demon's blood
all over him, and then kept the kept the table
fragment as a souvenir. And then because of what Eric did.
At the end of the night when we were lost
getting home. We're sitting at a traffic light, trying to

(38:58):
fit which way to go because GPS is and and
that quest weren't a thing yet. This white Lincoln pulls
up next to us, tinted windows, the windows rolled. Daddy,
here you guys, look for a bridge. Follow me, I
know the way, And it was home. And the whole

(39:20):
time we were wondering does he drive like this?

Speaker 1 (39:26):
Wait? Wait, you were lost and Taz came out of
the night to guide you home like next.

Speaker 7 (39:32):
To us, out of the night in a white Lincoln
and said, follow me, I know the way.

Speaker 1 (39:38):
How did he know you were lost? Just because he's
Taz and he just knows all like it just.

Speaker 7 (39:44):
The human two plex machine is also the human GPS
at the time. And by the time we got home,
we stopped at a restop and uh dooring Dormrie and roadkill.
We're getting McDonald's.

Speaker 11 (39:57):
I always wonder if I always wondered if a e
W you had just played like those types of venues,
how walkers their crowd would have been would have.

Speaker 1 (40:06):
Been huge poet story, totally different stories.

Speaker 6 (40:09):
Well, if you could very easy to do.

Speaker 1 (40:11):
People were clamoring, people were clamoring for that ECW atmosphere,
and they could have gotten it with AW and Tony
just kind of let it go because he wanted to
end like WWE instead of start out as an ECW
level thing. Be the underground, be the grungy, be especially
gonna be like death matches and stuff. Be grungy, be dirty,
be like, you know, look, even though you're not on

(40:33):
like a shoe string budget, make it look like you're
on a shoe string budget.

Speaker 6 (40:36):
This Chinese.

Speaker 7 (40:37):
Yeah, they thought that they were going to get the
Silicone Valley and PWG Hollywood celebrity group even like even
when they you know, when they first they had no
real intention doing house shows. They were going to go
to these big arenas. They didn't care if they were
going to sell them out, because the mindset was that
their fan base was wealthy enough and would follow them

(40:58):
all over the planet. And then COVID had it, and
then they had to get a little reality boost and
we've still haven't adjusted since because again for them, they
can't fill it. They can't fill these bigerinas. If they
shrink it down, they're making a more intimate experience.

Speaker 1 (41:12):
They take them backward down because now they go backward
it looks like, oh they're they're dying.

Speaker 6 (41:17):
Yep.

Speaker 7 (41:17):
But again, you was it NXT Black and Gold for
a little while there captured that uh uh uh the
e CW spirit. It wasn't you know, it wasn't the
same thing, but captured that spirit of you know, we're
all in this, this is our show. And I think
a W could have done that if they had just

(41:39):
been a little smarter.

Speaker 11 (41:41):
Yeah, yeah, if they had, you know, they should have
just started television deals later, build their audience, build their core,
and then grow from there.

Speaker 6 (41:52):
Show them, show people like you're worth watching.

Speaker 1 (41:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (41:58):
ECW was the epitome of what a I don't even
want to say in but like right below, a mainstream
wrestling product can be and should be really kind of
that anti establishment. Get the you want the crowd to be,
you know, do you want the crowd to be into
the company just as much as they are into the

(42:19):
wrestlers and what's going on in the ring, because that's
what you're selling, right, You're selling being the underdogs.

Speaker 1 (42:24):
TNA never really got there. ROH did for a while
in the mid two thousands, but even like CZW XPW.
Those guys never really figured it out because all they're
able to do is kind of give the big spots
and do that kind of stuff, But they can't emulate
that feeling of being a part of something while you're there,

(42:45):
and aew actually kind of does that. Tony's able to
get his fans to believe that they are a part
of something. But the problem is is that he's trying
to fill up. You're not gonna get twelve thousand people
like that, right, gonna get one or maybe fifteen hundred
people like that.

Speaker 10 (43:04):
And when you're trying to fill giant arenas, it doesn't work.
So if you're going to that's why ECW DOT in
in actuality when you really when you really want to
break it down, you can say it's all kinds of
different things and Paul Hamman mismanaging money, but in reality,
it's just they tried to get too big.

Speaker 1 (43:20):
They can't be that, you know. Now, imagine imagine watching
Dynamite in the first year before COVID hit and they're
running the Hammerstein right, or even even Daily's place, a
building like Daily's place, and you see these people packed
on top of each other, screaming and going ballistic and
pointing and arms in the air, just raucously going out

(43:40):
of their minds. That's when you look at something at
that and you're like, I have to be there now.
Compare that to running a fifteen thousand seed arena with
three thousand people in it, seeing all the empty seats
and being able to hear individual voices scream out something.
That's where they go wrong. That's what they went wrong.
Because now you're like, that's lame. I don't want to
be there.

Speaker 11 (44:00):
And that's the that's the assumption that we keep forgetting.
Like whether it's three thousand people or or fifteen thousand
people or fifteen hundred people, whatever's going on in the ring,
you've got to leave the people wanting more. And if
you don't have episodic anything, no people are going to leave.

Speaker 6 (44:20):
People are not going to return.

Speaker 1 (44:22):
You have to say daily place. Daily's place could have
been the AEW arena, right, And you tour dynamite and
you put dynamite in buildings the size of the Hammerstein Ballroom,
and you would have brought it around. You would have
created this rouckous atmosphere and then for your pay per views,
you do a big arena and you sell it out
because now you've created this, I have to be there.

(44:43):
Anything can happen. This is this is this is something
I'm a part of atmosphere instead of what we see
and you don't let And here's the other thing, I mean,
the other the other thing. Always working against them were
guys like the young Bucks. You know, guys that you
know he doesn't know how to he doesn't know how
to hide the weakness and accentuate the positive, which was
the thing that Paulie was the master of. You know,

(45:04):
you got the salmon out there. You're not gonna have
the salmon go out there and Russell a sixty minute
I am in match. You're gonna have him come out there.
He's gonna cane the crap out of you. He's gonna
give me the white Russian leg sweep. He's gonna do
the Heine Krana and and that's it. We're going home
after that. It's gonna be a it's gonna be a
hard quare match. You know, guys like the guys at
the Bucks and Jack Perry. That was the problem with
aw in the beginning, because you look at the you know,

(45:26):
these are weenies that're doing whatever the heck they want,
man and in.

Speaker 3 (45:30):
E c W.

Speaker 10 (45:31):
In e CW, you had the technical master class match
on the card, you had the storytelling match on the card,
you had the hardcore blood and guts match. A couple
of matches on the card. You had the high flying
Lucha Libery style matches, you have the strong style matches,
and it was all it was like it was a
melting pot. In ae W, every match tries to be everything.

Speaker 6 (45:52):
And the something that. Yeah, you have the funny, mature yeah,
but when when.

Speaker 1 (45:58):
Every match tries is to be all of that, that's
when that's when you get Wrestling Society X, which is
really the style that you can compare a W two best.
I love when they would bring like Matt Bourne out
is doink and then like bump the crap out of
them and cut the there's no clowns, this is e

(46:20):
c W. Like those were the raw ros speeches that
you get behind. Not this not this bald mustache field
Vagina standing out there being like my family, Like by
the way, it's born again. It was a fantastic character.
Just wanted to point that out, but go ahead, No, it's.

Speaker 7 (46:41):
Audrey with a mustache.

Speaker 1 (46:44):
He kind of.

Speaker 14 (46:47):
Man, I gotta say, I gotta tell you pay me,
God pay me?

Speaker 10 (47:02):
Oh you know out the ring announcer from Wrestling Society
X is working in the performance center.

Speaker 1 (47:07):
Wait wait wait yeah, wait wait wait wait Amy or
book me? Do you have to go over book me? Oh?
Nah long, that's right. Well that's a song parody that's

(47:27):
getting written.

Speaker 6 (47:29):
Like everyone shut upon.

Speaker 1 (47:35):
The music around it going, and you guys were talking
and you were you were drowning out the muses. So
this is how it was. This is how it works.
People ask me all the time, how does it work?
This is how it works. You all just saw it.
We've been in the middle.

Speaker 10 (47:49):
I've been We've been in the middle of a conversation
group chat before where Marv was like, oh my god,
hang on, and then he leaves and then we don't
hear from mar for two days, and then she was
back up with a video or something.

Speaker 1 (48:00):
So no, no, no, no, no, you're not telling it right.
I leave and I come back an hour later with
a song parody. Yes, true, yeah, yeah yeah, that's because
I sit down and I hype a focus on it
until it's done. I'll send I'll send it to Kevin
he'll be like, how did you do that?

Speaker 2 (48:17):
That? Fing?

Speaker 1 (48:17):
Like, We'll come up like an idea, will Spock and
I'll come back in like twenty five minutes with a song.
I'm like, here, what do you think? How did you
do that so fast? Uh? Yeah, it's yeah, when when
when when it hits, it hits?

Speaker 2 (48:34):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (48:34):
But yes, what were you saying this about somebody working
for w W now? Oh uh?

Speaker 10 (48:39):
The ring announcer from Wrestling Society X. Remember the best
part of Wrestling Society X was that reing announcer. He's
just run circles.

Speaker 1 (48:45):
In the ring. He's a he's a he's a promo
guy in the PC. Now that's what he does. Yeah,
that's pretty cool.

Speaker 7 (48:56):
That's it's pretty cool, the exploding everything blowing up. I
am so sad that never got a season two.

Speaker 6 (49:09):
Man.

Speaker 1 (49:10):
All right, well we fantasy booked. But this did start
with us talking about Sid rest in power. Sid everyone
a big fist bump Forcid, as he used to. My
buddy used to always give us a fist bump and
he'd be like, oh, Sid for you. So that's how
we used to say when we would fist but we'd
always go Sid. So yeah, big. Yeah, he's now the

(49:32):
ruler of heaven. That might be sacrilegious to some.

Speaker 6 (49:36):
Sorry, he's only going to heaven. Right after that, the
Heavenly Softball game.

Speaker 1 (49:43):
Oh my god. So so let's so, you know what,
let's talk a bit about all In. Here's the thing
about all In. Okay, it was I think we all
had and we we all had very low expectations for
all In. Yes, right, is that fair to say?

Speaker 7 (50:04):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (50:08):
And I was dreading it, yeah, and it was it
was like kind of good. Right, So it feels like
it was really good because when you think something is
gonna be just ut of garbage and it turns out
to just kind of be trash, then like it's it
seems like it's almost not roughage at all, that it's

(50:30):
you know, actually something that was worthwhile. And there were
a few matches on this show that I'd like it.
I would like to start out, but pointing at some
of the positives, if you guys will permit me, awful.

Speaker 6 (50:39):
I've got none to say.

Speaker 11 (50:40):
You paid fifty dollars for a Dynamite episode, so it.

Speaker 1 (50:45):
Was a good Dynamite episode. I thought that I thought
the ladder match was good. I enjoyed it. I think
it's very clear what happened there. I think Christian was like,
all right, gather around, children and listen to me. I'm
gonna tell you exactly what you're gonna do.

Speaker 11 (50:59):
Oh yeah, momsy been going down Christian.

Speaker 1 (51:05):
Christian played his his role perfectly in that match. He
was the cawardly heel. I loved it.

Speaker 6 (51:15):
Stuff.

Speaker 1 (51:16):
Yeah, I could have done without the MoMA Wayne stuff too,
but she's a character on the show. It's whatever.

Speaker 2 (51:20):
You know.

Speaker 1 (51:21):
You tease to get power bomb through the table and
didn't deliver it. Barbara Dudley was like, oh man, but yeah,
I mean I liked that match. I kind of liked
m j F and will Osprey kind of it was
it still really wasn't my cup of tea.

Speaker 6 (51:42):
If you saw the first two matches, you saw the
third one. Essentially it was better.

Speaker 1 (51:47):
This was better than their first two matches.

Speaker 15 (51:49):
It was.

Speaker 6 (51:52):
Quicker.

Speaker 1 (51:52):
How about that, It was tan, it was tyrant, was shorter.
It made a little bit more sense. I mean they
were still kicking out of things like Canadian destroyers on
the ring, apron and whatnot, but whatever.

Speaker 6 (52:02):
And then hamming it up to the crowd.

Speaker 1 (52:05):
My issue with that match stems from one moment, and
that is the defacement of the American flag.

Speaker 6 (52:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (52:13):
Look, I was never in the service, but I have
family members that were in the service that have fought
and wars. And if my grandfather, rest his soul, had
lived to see the American flag flying in England with
Mjf's face in place of the stars, he would have
lost his mind.

Speaker 11 (52:32):
I swear to you I have and I'm a proud American.

Speaker 6 (52:37):
I had no problem with that. I thought it was
kind of humorous.

Speaker 1 (52:40):
You know what, if they had done that, if they
had done that in the States, they could have been fined.
They sell them in the States. Actually that should be
that is technically illegal. You're not allowed to deface the
American flag. I looked it up. I looked it up
because Dave Schmeltzer uh mentions it in the in the

(53:03):
Cold Open he actually cites the actual law that states
you cannot deface the American flag. It's just I mean,
look at the end of the day, and this is
not just the American flag, it's it's any country's flag.
Like people India, people people like like when when it

(53:24):
when it's when it's something that gets draped over a
soldier's casket. It should not be used as a prop
in a wrestling match. I'm sorry, I just I that's
just kind of my way of looking at it.

Speaker 6 (53:37):
I've no, No, I love the new I love the
new perspective on it.

Speaker 1 (53:40):
No, both, you know what I think. I think when
I look at the flag. Whenever I look at the
flag now, I think about, like both my grandfathers when
they passed, I think about the flag draped over there
their casket. I think about the care and the time
that the soldiers, Because the soldiers came to like do
the honor guard thing for the funerals, and they folded
the flag and they did this entire ceremony around it,

(54:02):
and they played taps, and they handled it with such
reverence and respect. And I'll never forget the second I
was standing right next to my grandmother who's weeping, right,
and the soldier kneels in front of her and hands
and says, ma'am, please accept this flag on behalf of
a grateful nation. And I'll never forget that moment.

Speaker 6 (54:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (54:21):
And then I handed it to my they handed to
my uncle when my when my other grandfather passed, my
uncle's in the Navy, and I don't know, man, it's yeah,
it's just something I feel like, you don't mess.

Speaker 10 (54:32):
With my My dad still does the thing where when
a flag comes to the end of its run, he
sends it in to be disposed of properly. He's very
he's very U Yeah, absolutely, and I and I get that.
I mean, there's people in the chat. Someone said, but
it's not an American flag.

Speaker 1 (54:51):
It's a flag based on the American flag with MJ's
face on it. That's semantics at this point, Like, I
don't I'm not. I don't like any of the different
versions of the American flag that people seem to make,
like with the different colors. I don't like that either.
I don't like when they're boxer shorts, yeah, stuff like that.
I don't even like when it's on a T shirt, like,
stop it interesting. No, I just I was I was

(55:13):
taught that you fly it in front of your house,
you know, like fly in front of the house, you
take it down when it rains. It's I don't know.
To me.

Speaker 11 (55:20):
I've gone to two military I've gone to two military funerals,
and it really does break it home. You've encapsulated it well,
I mean it was just such a there's a certain
point where you're like, this is so I'm soor to
even be.

Speaker 6 (55:35):
Here to watch this go down.

Speaker 11 (55:37):
I had two uncles that were in the service, and yeah,
it was just phenomenal.

Speaker 6 (55:42):
But wow, it's so interesting that you guys have this
perspective on this.

Speaker 11 (55:46):
I never even thought that people who were in the military,
who might have served, might see things in that way.

Speaker 1 (55:54):
It's just kind of the way I was raised. My
grandfather was very particular about the flag, about where it's flown,
where it's not flan He would get mad at like
we would watch like the World Series and somebody would
be doing the the national anthem and they jazz it up.
My grandfather lid oh yeah, yeah, So just like when

(56:15):
they would be like, oh see, can you see shoe
shooby doo up? I remember, I remember that literally that happened,
and he like almost threw something at the TV. He
was so mad.

Speaker 11 (56:28):
Now, the clothes, the the apparel of the American flag,
it's you know, that's a little that's yeah, that's fine.

Speaker 1 (56:36):
I mean, I guess that's fine. I mean, it depends
on what it is wearing it. Well, when you're wearing
it in terms in terms of like honoring it, like
Apollo Creed in the first Rocky Let's put it, he
came out in the American flag, like you know, Rocky
war them when he's fighting the Russian and I know
they're not real people, but like, like that's the kind
of thing that I could like get behind, or having

(56:56):
it on the jersey of Team USA at the Olympics,
things like that. Uh, I don't know. I just didn't
like what Tony did with it. But the big thing
about this match was the streamers. Oh my god, when
the streamers got caught on the lighting rig, I was like,
how did you not realize this was going to happen?
Stay in there? How did this go through? Multiple people?

(57:20):
The multiple people that this would have to go through
to get this this entrance done, And nobody was like, Hey,
there's a big lighting fixture above the ring. It's gonna
get stuck on it.

Speaker 6 (57:33):
I am stunned that.

Speaker 11 (57:35):
I'm sure the fire department, the local fire department had
a conniption.

Speaker 7 (57:39):
Fire brigade.

Speaker 6 (57:41):
Yeah, firebrigrade, Thank you, keV, Like that's what I'm.

Speaker 1 (57:45):
Saying, Like calls the fire marshal on Tony Kahan, like we.

Speaker 10 (57:50):
Talked about, you also had o'conna's money that was just staying.
They didn't clean it up, They just left it out
there for the entire show. It really does feel like
they were just trashing the place because they weren't coming back,
you know.

Speaker 1 (58:06):
Said like you said, it was like the White House
when like George w. Bush was coming in and they
took all the the w's off the keyboards.

Speaker 10 (58:13):
It's like it's like when somebody is getting evicted from
their apartment, so they throw a huge party the end
and just just let everyone trash it before they leave.

Speaker 1 (58:22):
Tony personally, Tony personally like crapped in every single toilet
in Wembley Stadium.

Speaker 6 (58:27):
And what is this to sit there? Dump?

Speaker 1 (58:35):
Yeah, because it compiled right Okata's stupid Rainmaker's entrance and
no one, no one came out there with a broom
during the match to sweep up all that fake money,
and that's all that's laying all over the entrance way.
Mercedes Monet's carriage can't get off the stage. MJF stream

(58:56):
is hanging from the lighting fixture. It just looked progressively
more and like a garbage jump.

Speaker 7 (59:02):
This is why ww does extensive walkthroughs and rehearsals.

Speaker 11 (59:06):
Yeah, didn't one of the prop men bust their ass,
you know, because of the money that was on the
ground on the way. I can't remember who entrance. I
can't remember whose entrance. Oh it was, whoever? Whoever was
brought down to the ring with men in like okay, yeah,

(59:27):
one of them bust their ass in the background.

Speaker 1 (59:33):
Man, And by the way, I see the super chats,
build it up. I will get to them all in
a row. I'm trying. I'm trying the Jonas J. Campbell
method today. The but but yeah, what did you guys
think of Maria May and Tony Storm? Now I became
a Mariah May fan on that night. I thought she
was great.

Speaker 6 (59:51):
Mmm.

Speaker 1 (59:53):
I thought hm got this nod. I was just saying,
I agree she was very good that night. Yeah, she was.
And I felt like she kind of pulled Tony Storm
on her back toward the end because she looked blown up, like, Look,
I don't know what would being in the ring is like,
but I know what it's like to be so exhausted
you can barely lift your arms. And I don't think

(01:00:13):
she was acting. I don't think that was selling. Uh
she was moving so slow. I was like, that woman
is blown up. Like we've all had to run the
hill in football. They have played football. You run the hill.
You understand what it's like. She was moving like she
was running the hill. Die Yep, she was. She was

(01:00:36):
running the I couldn't Oh. I almost said the word
that would have gotten this demonetized running the thing where
you run through the line and back and then the
next line and back, because that's that's a bad word
for YouTube.

Speaker 6 (01:00:46):
You brought wrestling practice.

Speaker 1 (01:00:48):
Oh yeah, exactly.

Speaker 10 (01:00:50):
I think the I think the biggest problem with that
match was the dynamic. Mariah May was playing a badass
face in that match, and apparently she was supposed to
be a heel and Tony Storm was playing a cowardly
heel and apparently she's supposed to be the face.

Speaker 7 (01:01:07):
And I was just about to ask, wait, hold on,
wasn't Mariah supposed to be via heel?

Speaker 1 (01:01:15):
Yeah, she was the heel, and so I don't know
if the finish kind of ruined it for me. The
finish kind of ruined it for me because they did
the thing where she takes the shoe and she's about
to hit Mariah with it, and then she has the no,
I'm not gonna do it like this, and then Mariah
rolled her up real quick, and I was like, uh
right there, one, two three. But then she kicks out
because of course she kicks out because then Mariah's got

(01:01:37):
to hit it with the big finisher brother and and
then pinner, which I think is the dumbest thing. It's
so much more heelish if you just roll her up. Yeah,
why does everyone have to hit their big finisher? I
don't like.

Speaker 7 (01:01:51):
It was there were there any finisher attempts before that? Yeah?
I could argue I didn't see it, but you could
argue that they did it that way to protect her,
finish her because she needed to use it to actually

(01:02:12):
finish the match.

Speaker 1 (01:02:13):
Didn't you win with Tony's finisher? I don't remember. You're
asking the wrong person. I think the I didn't enjoy
the ingesting of blood during that match. I never, excuse me?

Speaker 6 (01:02:26):
When was that?

Speaker 1 (01:02:27):
Why? Why? When is it not? Why why is it?
Why is it never? God? I'm trying to think how
to put this, like, it's not a good idea to
ingest someone else's blood. I can't believe I have to
say that. But this is. This is a thing that

(01:02:47):
I apparently have to say. It is never. It is
never a good idea. I asked the Undertaker when Cowboy
Bob Oorton bled into the Undertaker's mouth and was like, oh,
by the way, I got hepatitis.

Speaker 2 (01:03:02):
You got what.

Speaker 7 (01:03:05):
The first time we watched the Undertaker sell with all
of his mic.

Speaker 1 (01:03:12):
Dexter, I'm afraid of a little drinking blood. You mean love,
He's good.

Speaker 6 (01:03:21):
We're gonna go this vampire. Yeah.

Speaker 10 (01:03:25):
No, Let's ask all of Abby's opponents for the past
twenty years.

Speaker 1 (01:03:32):
It's fine, okay, are they alive most most of this?

Speaker 7 (01:03:42):
What is the freaking black goo from Prometheus?

Speaker 1 (01:03:47):
I also, I also really liked the main event Brian
Daniel Brian Danielson versus versus Swerve, And yeah, I thought
it was a great match. It was great. We were
so punched drunk by that point we were kind of
like not really focusing on it. But it really was
a good match, like like they were really working their

(01:04:07):
butts off. They were. I didn't like when swearve No
sold and like, you know, did the brush off, Like,
oh that didn't even hurt. Like it's one thing if
you know, selling and you're like fired up about it,
like the fighting spirit kind of thing. But he wasn't
doing that, and I hated the fake injury. Again. We
need to get through with Daniel Bryan or Brian Danielson,

(01:04:28):
whatever the heck match without them trying to make us
think he's injured he does. Here's the thing.

Speaker 10 (01:04:34):
They're gonna gaslight this so much that when he actually
does get injured, nobody's gonna one's.

Speaker 1 (01:04:38):
Gonna believe him that already happened, or no, that's.

Speaker 11 (01:04:42):
True in the other opposite way.

Speaker 6 (01:04:46):
I mean, then they'll then they'll realize, Wow.

Speaker 1 (01:04:49):
Those special effects are getting more and more realistic. It
did happen, because it happened.

Speaker 10 (01:04:53):
That's why I made my avatar on Twitter, the one
where he where he I was, the one where he's
in a spittal bed and he has his arm all
up and the leg up. I was trying to do
it where he had a knife in his head, but
the AI program wouldn't do that.

Speaker 1 (01:05:07):
Yeah, I would not. That violates the terms of service.

Speaker 10 (01:05:12):
But that's when I That's why I did it, is
because they were just faking it over and over again,
and then he got injured and we didn't know he
was injured because they had faked it so much. And
maybe that's Tony's idea. Maybe his thought is, now if
he really does get injured, nobody will.

Speaker 1 (01:05:25):
Know because they'll all think it was faked. You know,
I don't know. I don't and you know him, he'd
hide it. I mean, this is the guy that said
Matt Haughty didn't have a concussion when his head bounced
off the concrete floor like a basketball.

Speaker 11 (01:05:37):
Then he found out Matt Hardy had a wife.

Speaker 6 (01:05:43):
Damn I didn't. I didn't nda her either, Doug.

Speaker 1 (01:05:47):
Bod when you were in that coma, did you fit
your brain getting damaged? Oh my god? Yeah. I mean
sometimes he really is Don Connage, isn't he Tony Kahan
just like don't fight with Weirdly, he's my second in command.

Speaker 6 (01:06:07):
He knows when to play a problem.

Speaker 1 (01:06:12):
So do we want to get into the reasons why
we think he won. Yeah, that's yeah. So I mean, look,
the clearly, as much as people want to hum and haw,
the WBD deal cannot possibly be done yet. And I
think what dis and I were saying was part of
the reason. Part of the negotiation might be the world

(01:06:33):
title has to be on a known quantity, a known
WWE quantity, and you're not putting you can't put it
on Jericho right now because that would do more harm
than good and kind of like how Jericho was the
first champion solely for advertising, I believe and legitimacy. I
think now you kind of have to TNA did the

(01:06:55):
same thing when they were going to to Spike. Uh
they put the belt back on Jarrett, even though that
was a major misstep, but they I'd always heard they
felt that they needed the belt on Jarrett when they
went to Spike because he was a guy people would
remember from the w W eight.

Speaker 10 (01:07:13):
Arguably they did the same thing recently when they put
the belt on Dolf because they were reportedly trying to
get something with like a CW or something like that,
and you know that would be the time to do it.

Speaker 1 (01:07:25):
I do want to give a shout out to MJG
or some x era on Twitter. He was the first
place I saw that idea, But it totally clicked in
my mind once he said it. Absolutely absolutely.

Speaker 6 (01:07:38):
I think.

Speaker 7 (01:07:40):
To know what you think about it, my man, uh Oh,
I personally think that the deal is done and that
they're trying to renegotiate it because it's not what they want.
The other half of it is, I love I love

(01:08:01):
BB as much as the next person, but that guy,
ain't it? You know, this, This isn't This isn't Hogan
going to w CW. This isn't Austin or the Rock
or Flair Seena jumping. This is just this is just
a This is a WWE guy who's there, but without

(01:08:21):
the power of the machine, because if he really meant
that much, they would have over a million viewers.

Speaker 10 (01:08:27):
And I'm not saying that it's a good move. I'm
not saying that they're doing it correctly. I'm saying that
they're in panic mode and.

Speaker 1 (01:08:34):
They and ed Edge is gone. Where's Moxley? Moxley wasn't
even in all it. It makes me almost wonder because
there's been a well, I honestly was thinking about looking
his name up in the Florida criminal records to see
if maybe there's a reason that he can't travel or

(01:08:54):
something like that, because they he just wasn't there for
no reason. He's had to go one of his indie bookings.

Speaker 7 (01:09:01):
I bet he used to be getting tapped up by
Kinkos managers.

Speaker 1 (01:09:07):
To stop doing these tournaments. For the love of God.

Speaker 7 (01:09:11):
Everybody wants to be badass until it's time to be badass.

Speaker 1 (01:09:14):
And you know, but there's but there's no recognizable face.
There's nobody.

Speaker 10 (01:09:18):
And and to say that is is Brian Danielson somebody
who's going to bring eyes to a show?

Speaker 1 (01:09:25):
Probably not, But is.

Speaker 10 (01:09:27):
Brian Danielson someone who is going to be recognizable when
you mentioned him as your champion to somebody.

Speaker 6 (01:09:33):
Probably not. No, he probably not.

Speaker 1 (01:09:36):
He will be. They'll say, oh, he's the guy.

Speaker 6 (01:09:39):
There's no alum.

Speaker 1 (01:09:42):
Well, because they'll say, you remember him. He was Brian,
he was Daniel Briant. He's the yes guy. And they'll say, oh,
the yes guy. I remember the yes guy.

Speaker 6 (01:09:49):
I was wondering.

Speaker 1 (01:09:51):
Yes, that was people had fun doing.

Speaker 6 (01:09:55):
It ten years ago.

Speaker 1 (01:09:58):
It was an anniversary WrestleMania moment. It was WrestleMania thirty.
People remember that and now that. But you're talking about
a guy who was You're talking you're talking about a
guy who was excited and gave a show to see
him punk, who was who hadn't been in the business
for a decade at that point, Daniel Brian, Brian Danielson
had at least been in the business and on ww

(01:10:19):
television since his big since his peak, which was sooner
than Punk's peak.

Speaker 10 (01:10:25):
So the fact that he remembered Punk and the fact
that he was such a big fan of Punk means
that he he obviously knows who he is. He's probably
he's more excited about him being there.

Speaker 1 (01:10:35):
Who was a fan of Punk? Uh? The WBD guy
that was dulous that he knew who he was. Second,
I was, that's a real story, I believe the second.
The second he said like, oh, David zaslom cost me
one bill Phil, I was like, David Zaslo doesn't call
you nothing because he doesn't know who you are.

Speaker 6 (01:10:56):
That was a dog whistle.

Speaker 1 (01:10:58):
No, I think there's nothing I think. I think these
I think a lot of these these executives are especially
in areas that they're working in, even if they aren't.
You think David Zaslov, a guy who who is in
charge of overseeing multi million dollar films, is worrying about

(01:11:21):
a drinking bink wrestling show on his second biggest cable
company that featuring and knows an obscure WWE champion that
hadn't been around for a decade. I don't buy that
for at.

Speaker 7 (01:11:35):
I will interject though, because people have talked for years
about how about how hands on Zaslov was when he
was running Discovery, and I'm considering that, and consider that
Punk was the only person to bring them back over
a million after a million became unattainable. I would imagine
that when discussing how this show does, his name probably

(01:11:56):
came up, especially when they decided that they were going
to give it a they were going to give it
a go.

Speaker 1 (01:12:01):
Yeah, I'm not saying I'm not saying a huge CM
Punk man.

Speaker 10 (01:12:05):
I'm Sayingsloff said, give me the history on these guys
and stuff of the CM Punk was in WWE and
he he was in a big feud with John Cena,
and Zaslov goes, oh okay, yeah, I'd rather have him.
And I think they do the same thing with Brian Danielson,
because what do you do because when you when you
give it to when you say Swerve Strickland is my champion?

Speaker 1 (01:12:23):
Who was he?

Speaker 10 (01:12:24):
Well, he was in hit row in ww you know,
I mean, there's nothing, but with Brian Danielson at least
you can say, you know, he had a big moment
at Wrestling down.

Speaker 6 (01:12:33):
The Hall who's got the same name, Brian Danielson.

Speaker 7 (01:12:38):
It's also Total Divas though did a lot for him.
Uh yeah, and it's not you know, I'm not saying
it to be flipping. That was a that was a
very well watched show that a very big fan base,
and it exposed him to a different group of fans.
So yeah, you know, he is marketable. And like you're

(01:12:58):
sitting there if you're watching with your girlfriend and then
you see him on Oh, is that that's the guy
from that's the guy from Total Divas. You know we're
gonna you know, will WinCE. You know, we'll winz I'll
know that he's blah blah blah. But I mean, listen,
I get it. I just think it's a it's a
fool's errand yeah this again, this this, you know, it
was one thing when you could parade Hulkogan, you know

(01:13:20):
down you know, outside of the NNGM grand because that
was a moment to steal. The guy had changed the
face of wrestling, and now he was now he was
a down South. The this I don't know, man, I
personally think that this was I get it. If this
is what they want to do, fine, you shoot your shot.
But I think this was a big disservice to Swerve.

(01:13:42):
This was an opportunity to cement him as a not
just another guy who held your belt guy, yet another placeholder.
This would have elevated Swerve and potentially had helped him
actually become.

Speaker 6 (01:13:56):
An a e W name, you know.

Speaker 7 (01:13:59):
And it's like, well, and for what for a guy
who's gonna maybe have two or three matches before he's
done And I'm Wednesday, you know, And and I gotta
suffer who swear versus the soy boy, the soy cowboy?

Speaker 1 (01:14:10):
Again?

Speaker 7 (01:14:11):
I don't care. I don't care that he has I
don't care that he hasn't washed his hair and he
he and his mustachio is this scruffy? He's still a
little b boy. I don't care.

Speaker 10 (01:14:26):
If you need more evidence that WW is putting all
his eggs in the ex WWE guy basket, yeah, I'm
sorry if you want more e when we're evidence that
Tony Kahn is doing that. Christian is now the number
one contender and uh. They just put out a press
release for Grand Slam in Australia that lists every w
W wrestler they have, including Paul White, and list them

(01:14:47):
with their ae W names and then and then their
WWE names afterwards.

Speaker 11 (01:14:53):
So formerly should have been it should have been Christian.
You're about to say this that who else could it
have been? It should have been Christian? And he looks
like a professional wrestler, He doesn't look like a cameraman
like Brian Danielson does.

Speaker 1 (01:15:10):
And it still could be Christian because he's a number
than contender now, so he could end up being the
one who This could have been just a feel good moment,
you know, And he didn't need to feel good moment.

Speaker 6 (01:15:21):
They need they need to build stars. They needed to
build swerve strictly.

Speaker 1 (01:15:24):
Hey, dude, when when did this become You think I'm
defending it. I think it's a bad idea. I'm not
for it at all, But I'm just saying, what Tony
The reason why? Yes, the reason all it is because
there has to be a reason to either that or
Tony is just that big of a mark and he
just wants Danielson's name injected into the lineage of that belt.

Speaker 6 (01:15:47):
Don't hate me this, I.

Speaker 1 (01:15:49):
Don't hate you.

Speaker 10 (01:15:50):
It's just every once in a while I find myself
defending something I don't want to defend it.

Speaker 1 (01:15:54):
Because I'm not for it when the two of you fight,
it's my favorite thing. I loved. It always gets me
to have stuff I hate and I don't. I'll be
right back, all right, moving along. I want to talk
about some of the bad matches on this which is

(01:16:16):
that that Gauntlet match was literally the worst thing I've
ever seen in my life.

Speaker 7 (01:16:20):
Oh yeah, it.

Speaker 1 (01:16:22):
Was just Indie trash. It was waterfall spot, off to
waterfall spot. Twenty guys no selling outside the ring or
twenty guys, I'm sorry, twenty guys selling outside of the
ring waiting for their turn to get in the ring
and take a move, and give a move, give, give
a move, take a move.

Speaker 6 (01:16:37):
Did they did they explain the rules of the match
before the match at all? Not?

Speaker 1 (01:16:41):
Really, No, I don't think that. I don't think they did.
They didn't do like the Howard Finkle Royal Rumble explanation
or Howard Finkle would would explain the Royal Rumble to
you in great detail, even though it's the same match
every year and we all understand what it is. But
the yeah, what were we saying? The uh yeah, I didn't.

(01:17:03):
I did not like that that match at all. I thought,
what a waste of Ricochet. My goodness, you get a
big w W signing a guy, a guy who your
fan base is legitimately excited for you to have. You
bring him out in the middle of this nonsense. He
comes in, he hits a few moves, he takes a
move and sells outside the ring for the rest of

(01:17:26):
the match and is not involved in the finish. How
is he not the winner of that match? How do
you not put him? How is this time match not
a vehicle to put him over? Why are you doing
Christian again as a world title challenger? Why don't be
cause you can do You can pop a rate. I
think you'd pop a rating on a dynamite, not a million,
but you know, maybe you might actually make it to

(01:17:47):
eight hundred thousand if you did Ricochet versus Danielson as
your main event. I'd probably tune in that week. I'd
be interested to see what that would look like. And
SI becat Christian and Danielson. I mean, that's gonna be good.
That's gonna be fine too. I like it. It's sure
Christians doing some of the best work of his career.

Speaker 7 (01:18:03):
I do agree, But wouldn't Christian get a title shot
when you want to No, I mean before.

Speaker 1 (01:18:10):
That, uh, he he worked with he did a whole few,
but Swerve.

Speaker 7 (01:18:15):
Oh yeah, that's right. I forgot about that.

Speaker 6 (01:18:17):
That was like's first few.

Speaker 2 (01:18:18):
When the.

Speaker 7 (01:18:20):
Time they buried that came and went so fast, I
totally forgot about.

Speaker 6 (01:18:24):
It, exactly exactly.

Speaker 1 (01:18:27):
Yeah, yeah, it was the first time they buried Swarve.

Speaker 6 (01:18:32):
What's the matter with you, bro? You can't just be
happy to be there?

Speaker 1 (01:18:36):
I know, I know. But we're not gonna We'll get
more into Ricochet's online behavior later, but you know, because
that's gonna be its own thing. But yeah, for him,
he's doing he's doing what they all do. We'll get
into it. So you got the yeah, I got them

(01:18:57):
all don't want he excuse me? They lost my complete
train of thought. Oh and what a waste of Nigel.
You bring Nigel McGuinness back in the middle of this match.
First of all, Nigel McGinnis didn't look that great. He
was sluggish. He was slow. I mean, the ring rust

(01:19:19):
was very evident and putting. If Nigel was gonna have
a match not you should have had some cocky heel
come out there and start running his mouth. And then
Nigel comes out there to shut him up for the glory,
for the glory of the King of King and country,
instead of putting him in this multiman match with guys
half his age that he just can't hang with anymore,

(01:19:39):
especially after this much time away.

Speaker 7 (01:19:41):
Or how about let's do the common sense thing. Prince
Nanna is out there, he's causing havoc for for for
Brian Danielson. Why not send Nigel McGinnis down and reward
everybody for their wrestling history knowledge that of Nigel be
the one who gets in the ring and bump non no,
instead of putting him in a position where he has.

Speaker 1 (01:20:03):
They can't They can't decide if not. They can't decide
if not. On swear the faces of heels.

Speaker 7 (01:20:06):
I know when you have a guy who's spending the
last three weeks proclaiming that his crowning achievement will be
ending your career and laughing like a like a mustache
twirling a villain from a from a from a from
a talkie. The you know, the he did everything about
Ty Breen to the train tracks over the last three weeks.

(01:20:27):
The it's their heel, whether you want to or not.
They don't believe it, but you know the but there
a thousand ways you could have You could have handled
Ricochet's debut, and he could have handled them Nigel's of
re debut.

Speaker 1 (01:20:44):
Silly, all right, So the Jericho hook match, what a
waste of time, Just disgustingly horrible. They started when they
started winging cricket balls into the crowd. I was like,
what are you doing? Yeah, they started, they started hitting
cricket balls into the crowd. The and then the fact
that they didn't catch the finish of the match, the

(01:21:05):
fact that we saw poor Taz, the man who guided
Kevin Holme when faithful one faithful night in Philadelphia could
not gipsy get in Poughkeepsie, could not get the Taz
mission locked around somebody's neck. Good lord, I cannot believe.
And they're so focused on that, all of a sudden
the bell rings and you don't realize the finish just happened,

(01:21:27):
because if they had it on another camera angle, they
would have done an instant replay and at least showed you.
And yes, neck Beard is right, Chris Jericho looks like
fat iggy pop. I don't want to see him on
my uh on my screen anymore. He just he just
is so terrible, but now the most infuriating thing, He's
able to turn around and be like, I'm terrible because
I'm a heel. It's all part of the gimmick, mocks

(01:21:51):
because I'm a heel. Everybody, Now you know what I
meant last week the last time awful gas lit mean.

Speaker 6 (01:22:04):
Very quickly, go ahead. Sorry.

Speaker 1 (01:22:06):
I got two messages while I was helps asking if
I was om mad at Awful that I really did
have to be Neckbeard.

Speaker 10 (01:22:16):
And I'm not going to say the other person, but
just here man, you are right, no me and awful man.
I'm ready to start our spin off of this and
Awful wrestling adventures. I love doing awful show.

Speaker 1 (01:22:30):
Get two opinionated wrestling fans live in one apartment together
without driving each other crazy. Have you heard our idea
of the spinoff? But we're gonna watch old wrestling matches
and talk about.

Speaker 6 (01:22:45):
Dude, we haven't talked about talking about that for weeks.
You want to make it.

Speaker 1 (01:22:49):
I can help you if you want to make that happen.
I can help you make that happen anyway.

Speaker 11 (01:22:53):
But I do want to say before we go on
any further, I saw Nigel mcguinnis uh interview, Swerve Strickland
the dynamite before the the all out, and I thought
he was in phenomenal shape. His arm was bigger than
Swerve Stricklands. I was just like, what's he working out for?
Just the and now we see why? It was pretty cool?

Speaker 1 (01:23:14):
But yeah, go ahead, all right, So yeah, the Jericho
match was terrible, but let's move on to the worst
match of the night, just the match that defined bad
Men and Britt Baker. The worst match I've seen since.
It's not as bad as USO versus USO, but it's
the worst match I've seen since USO versus USO.

Speaker 11 (01:23:36):
Can I ask a question, who was more unprofessional in
that match?

Speaker 6 (01:23:40):
Britt Baker easily easily.

Speaker 1 (01:23:44):
She came out with boo boo job face. Yep, she
came out with boo boo job face. And and I honestly, look,
it's perfectly logical that maybe she's just not a very
good wrestler. I'm not overly familiar with her work. But
when I watched that, I'm like, this is somebody purposely
trying to make someone.

Speaker 6 (01:24:02):
Look bad exactly.

Speaker 1 (01:24:04):
My goodness.

Speaker 6 (01:24:07):
You don't agree, I don't agree.

Speaker 7 (01:24:09):
I think this was more they had zero chemistry, zero communication.
I know people are trying to accuse her of sandbagging
when they were on the top rope, but I think
that was really more of a fear thing the But
I think this was just a two people had a

(01:24:30):
okay two bou had a very bad match, Slash a
very underwhelming match, especially when it came after Osprey versus
m JF.

Speaker 1 (01:24:41):
Yes, and we can't. We can't forget that these two
together have had what less than five, less than you
can count on one hand matches in the past year. Yeah, combined.
You know, how about the fact that sandbagger it's hysterical
because she was the one accusing Thunderosa of sand banging.

Speaker 7 (01:25:00):
What's the face, Marina Shafir, Yeah, well, and I think
that's why everybody's kind of jumping on it. I'm like,
the one we gotta remember two Mercedes is not very strong.

Speaker 1 (01:25:13):
She's just not because she's stick thin.

Speaker 7 (01:25:15):
Yeah, exactly, we we we We've watched her almost kill
people in many matches. She can't the you know, it's
also why whenever she has a super physical match, she's
always bloody injured. The it's there's a lot of things
that play. I think I think people are being a

(01:25:36):
little hard on brit while also doing the we need
to make excuses for Mercedes. This is this was yeah,
this is a this is a terrible match.

Speaker 1 (01:25:49):
And Mercedes very clearly booked the finish of this match
herself because it made no sense. You get the get,
you get the body guard ejected, you have the big
baby face moment, and the logical finish here is some
kind of roll up win or using the ropes or
foreign object something like that. Instead Mercedes beats her clean

(01:26:09):
as a nun's bed sheets.

Speaker 6 (01:26:13):
It makes no sense.

Speaker 7 (01:26:15):
Well he's sorry. Here here's the other catastrophe of this.
And this happened many times leading up to the match
and again in the match. You see this with like
some wrestlers, they just they don't when their baby face.
They think they have to be like super strong all

(01:26:35):
the time. And as a babyface, selling, selling and peril
are your friends. It invites in the you know, it
invites interest, it invites energy. The if you just catching
a whipping is the fastest way they get people behind you,
because when you finally fire up and you become a

(01:26:57):
house of fire and you're laying everybody out, the bad
guys getting their comeuppins. A couple of I've been at this.
I think we talked about it on Twitter with this
and that Beard. You know they already bumped Camille. You
ruined it. Camille should be your China.

Speaker 1 (01:27:13):
We saw you know when I even more than that,
even more than that, she should be your sid. Imagine, imagine, imagine,
but to those women, she's sid sized. Imagine like Brett
bumped Sid like like a week into a feud with
Seawan or something like that, Like it would not be good.

(01:27:35):
She should be the female China. I think it makes sense.
Your joke, you say I made that.

Speaker 6 (01:27:41):
Joke, and he gave you credit for it.

Speaker 7 (01:27:46):
Yeah, the you know, Camille has the candoo stick and
Britt hits her with it and the Camille breaks over
her knee, and what Britt do? She no sold it
and then immediately jumped up and want to attack her.
As the babyface. Your job is to be like, oh crap,
what am I dealing with? And then maybe not necessarily powder,

(01:28:08):
but like if brit had sold that, Camille would have
been made. It didn't matter, It wouldn't matter what you did.
The now you're rolling into the match and you're looking
at the stupid finish and instead of just taking the
heat and taking a beating, we're doing all these stupid,
complicated spots that they can't bloody well do. And then
you get to this ending that just defies all logic.

(01:28:30):
The why are you going to put the manager in
a position where she knocked you out with the belt?
That's that should be an automatic DQ.

Speaker 1 (01:28:38):
That was so dumb. It was so dumb stupid that
referee in any in any universe of the multiverse, that
referee turns around, sees you laying there, sees the manager
with the belt and calls for the bell, and you
just screwed yourself.

Speaker 7 (01:28:52):
And immediately after he caught Mercedes trying to hit her
with the belt. So there's no reason to let it continue.
They should have been instant DQ. Mercedes retains it was
it was a dumb It was a dumb dy of
the because Britt doesn't in her head, she's like, I
can't look weak. But then you lost dead center ring,

(01:29:13):
so there's there's no there's no.

Speaker 1 (01:29:16):
Job face she had. She couldn't. You know the problem
is you could be Tony Kahan's weird, weird crush. All
you want it's not going to supersede a a contractionally
mandated creative control clause, which I you know, Mercedes has
loudly and proudly told everyone that will listen that she.

Speaker 11 (01:29:35):
Has m I I believe that the day that Britt
Baker showed up in that back locker room, Jennifer Pepperman
and Mercedes no leg day Monet went up to her
and was just like, you're not going over. And the
moment you saw Britt Baker come back on camera on Dynamite,
she had the boo boo face and she worked that

(01:29:58):
whole thing for the next five four or five six
weeks going into this match. She knew what it was
and she professionally sandbag Mercedes will nay, that's.

Speaker 1 (01:30:10):
My looking And to be honest, she is the She's
she's always involved whenever there's drama backstage always, So you
can either believe that she's a problem or that everybody
else in the world is the problems. Say well, they're
also both problems, right, well, yeah, both problems, but they're
both problems.

Speaker 10 (01:30:28):
And also how about the fact that they're just both
not very good, like I think people are just kind
of losing that is that neither of them have ever
had a match where they carried someone else to a
good match. They've always been carried, whether it be by
thunder Rosa, whether it be by Bailey, whether it be
by Charlotte Flair, whether it be by to Statlander, They've

(01:30:48):
always been carried to their best matches.

Speaker 1 (01:30:50):
So to assume that you can throw them on the
quote unquote biggest show of the year, having never wrestled
each other before, both of them having ring rust like crazy,
and I think that they can have a match that
deserves the spot that it got over their world to
the Women's world title match. Mine dathom if I'm the

(01:31:12):
one that's supposed to be their biggest story, the one
that they've been touting as the thing that they that
they're holding on to. Is the one time that they
were able to do some quote unquote cinema in wrestling,
and they put it on second of the card in
favor of this, which this is. It was. It was
a bad mix of Britt Baker having booboo job face,

(01:31:32):
Monette getting everything she wants and nobody knowing how to
book a match, and two people who can't wrestle a
match very well. It was go ahead and.

Speaker 7 (01:31:43):
May no doubt about it. When you look at that match,
that is a Mercedes mone match, that is everything used
as a babyface. It's just Britt was. Britt was in
her role.

Speaker 1 (01:31:55):
It even had the even had the Eddie Guerrero spot.
You know, all right, guys, let's get to some super chats.
We've been letting them build up and we have got
to get them all out. Otherwise, you know, we're all
gonna get a headache because it's just too much build up.
Let's see. Uh. Miss October thirty said for one nine nine,
thank you very much, said that that she watched with

(01:32:17):
p w T The Dead livestream. Great, great show, great guy.
We love Phil this.

Speaker 6 (01:32:22):
On this channel.

Speaker 1 (01:32:24):
Hoping that he pops in soon. I sent him the
link for tonight. We'll see if he's able to make it.
He wasn't sure if you could, but he's all, yep,
we love you. John Williams for four ninety nine. For Sid,
it's the fact that he was the one to tell
everyone me that he he was. He he was one
that told everyone that the Shockmaster was gonna trip, and

(01:32:44):
when it happened, he could be heard saying, I told
you so.

Speaker 6 (01:32:47):
Oh Yeah, awesome, catch Man. That is awesome. No, no, no,
I think that was Flair. Actually, now that I think
about it, I think about both of them.

Speaker 1 (01:33:02):
Sid Flair just couldn't stop laughing.

Speaker 6 (01:33:05):
That was.

Speaker 1 (01:33:06):
My favorite. My favorite from that moment is you hear
the British fell. It would be fair. He fell, he
fell on his front.

Speaker 6 (01:33:19):
But John great, the Superman, great Superman themes. Love it.

Speaker 1 (01:33:26):
We just talked about him the Genre Guys the other day.
I was the guest hosting The Genre Guys with Lou
Wasserman's Ghosts and Lord Connor and we did Superman the
movie and we we gush about that, about that soundtrack,
and I can't I say that the Superman theme is
John Williams's greatest contribution to film. Yeah, over anything, Star

(01:33:49):
Wars anything, Indiana Jones, It's a Superman theme. The Last
Call podcast for two Dollars with our good friend Chris Connor.
He's been on the show before. Thoughts on TNA emergence
with Nema versus Alexander this, I'm gonna get the floor
to you on this one. I don't I'm not feeling Dolph.
I'm sorry. I'm just gonna call him Dolph's good.

Speaker 10 (01:34:07):
I'm not feeling him as champion, and I don't understand
why you did it unless it has something to do
with the TV deal or there's something planned with him
doing something with WWE, maybe a story there. I'm always
anytime Josh Alexander is wrestling for a title, I'm always
gonna favor Josh Alexander's champion.

Speaker 1 (01:34:29):
He's he he is to me for what I like
in wrestling.

Speaker 10 (01:34:35):
He might be the best worker out there today period,
So I always want to.

Speaker 1 (01:34:41):
See him as champion. I think he should. He's been
devoted to that company. He's one of the only wrestlers
who really can say they grew they came up watching
TNA as a TNA fan and became a wrestler because
of TNA. And now he's wrestling in TNA. You know,
he's had offers other places. You know he could have gone,

(01:35:01):
and he stayed in TNA.

Speaker 10 (01:35:03):
That guy deserves to be the focal point of that company,
and he could carry him easily. I don't understand why
Nick Nemmuth has it. The only person I think over
him that I could understand is Hendri right now, but he.

Speaker 1 (01:35:16):
Has the shot in an XT so yeah, I'm always
gonna say Josh Alexander ten out of ten times.

Speaker 11 (01:35:23):
Should I just wanted to take a look at this
Josh Alexander because he's right.

Speaker 1 (01:35:28):
He reminds me very much of Kurt Angle and TNA
that kind yeah, that kind of like unhinged uher perk
Angle feel, except not spacey all the time.

Speaker 10 (01:35:40):
You know, but very very intimidating, very solid wrestler. And
he pulled out the best match I've ever seen. We'll
ostper have except for you.

Speaker 6 (01:35:51):
Know, is he a shooter amateur wrestler at all or yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:35:55):
Yeah, he wears headgear when he wrestles. Okay, JD nine
nine nine for one nine nine. What year does ECW
go from easton to extreme keV? I believe that's nineteen
ninety four, if I'm not mistaken.

Speaker 6 (01:36:08):
I believe.

Speaker 7 (01:36:09):
Yeah, Well I'll look real quickly after the it's after
the night the line was crossed.

Speaker 2 (01:36:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:36:14):
Yeah, they started.

Speaker 10 (01:36:14):
Changing over in ninety three in terms of feeling, but
I believe the name was ninety four.

Speaker 1 (01:36:20):
Yeah, the name doesn't The name doesn't happen until Shane
Douglas throws the NWA World's title down and then then
Todd Gordon cuts the promo where he folds Eastern Championship
Wrestling and becomes Extreme Championship.

Speaker 7 (01:36:32):
Wrestling August nineteen ninety four.

Speaker 1 (01:36:35):
Heah, we go.

Speaker 11 (01:36:36):
Noun's about right middle of the summer, Yes, John j
I d my young man, you would have loved.

Speaker 1 (01:36:43):
The summer of Extreme.

Speaker 6 (01:36:44):
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (01:36:45):
What But I'm just glad that thanks to Peacock and
the network he can go back and watch it all,
like the way I'm going back and watching things from
before I was alive, Like I'm watching like nineteen eighty
three mid mid South right now. So could you have.

Speaker 10 (01:37:03):
Could you imagine if we had the access to this
stuff when we were coming up as wrestling fans.

Speaker 1 (01:37:08):
I think about that all the time, trade video tapes.
I would I would walk out of Schnook's video with
eight wrestling tapes to watch and get him for a
week when I go home. Oh now, I would go
to the special Interest section of Blockbuster, and that was
where they had all the wrestling stuff. And now it's
just unlimited whatever you want all the time.

Speaker 6 (01:37:30):
Maybe that's right, You're right, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:37:33):
Shaggie Field seventy three for five dollars. What's your opinion
on this. In a make believe world, what Tony loses
aw when someone like Scott Damore buys it out, do
you think WWE finally has competition. I don't think anything's
challenging w W at this point. Like, and I think
if Scott Demore did buy, like if Scott want took
over a W or if Maple Leaf Wrestling, you know,

(01:37:53):
got up there the way it should, I believe Scott
would just do his thing. He wouldn't worry about w
W A Scott Scott with him. Yes, Scott's never poked
the bear.

Speaker 6 (01:38:02):
With w W A right, he would do start. He
would start doing the right things immediately.

Speaker 1 (01:38:08):
How about that? Yes, Perc Plenty picks a lot mon
Did you watch the monet press scrum? Oh my goodness,
so yeah, so Plenty and uh he's on he's on
my disc not discord Patreon. And one of the things
on Patreon that when you're a patron over there, you
can direct message me and I actually answer, uh the eventually,

(01:38:29):
like even if it's even if it's not right away,
I do eventually get to everybody. So he told me
wanted to just you look something up from the all
in Press scrum because I'm assuming you skipped it like
a sane person. Mercedes Monette said the corgies that were
with her were related to the Queen, not the queen's dogs,
mind you. She said the queen, and then talked about

(01:38:50):
how she wants her corgies to mate with them so
she can be the queen's cousin.

Speaker 6 (01:38:57):
Wow, what level of what circle of hell?

Speaker 1 (01:39:01):
Is that so good? What that man is?

Speaker 7 (01:39:06):
Mercedes ron Burgundy?

Speaker 1 (01:39:09):
She is, she is the female version of ron Burgundy. Yeah,
she's just she's such a space cadet. Who knew she was?
This level of absolute insane me? Not not for nothing,
but not for nothing. The fact that you came out,
like you know, with the corgis in the in the
Golden carriage?

Speaker 6 (01:39:27):
Like what?

Speaker 1 (01:39:27):
How long? Is what did Queen Elizabeth die? It was
like what a year ago? Maybe more a little more?

Speaker 7 (01:39:34):
I mean, what was she supposed to do? Come out
as a fat fingered Charles?

Speaker 6 (01:39:37):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:39:38):
It was twenty twenty two, Okay, so it's been two years.
I don't know, man, it can't come out as Mercedes Monette.
I mean that might be a thing. I don't know.
I got what you was saying I got that that
was a smart joke.

Speaker 7 (01:39:50):
This.

Speaker 1 (01:39:51):
Uh, but also so now now I remember like when
I first heard about this, I was actually on Mercedes
side about something and then I found out more information.
So the I then asked her about her divorce and
she got really like she got really snippy with him. No,
but he's the thing. She just started like an entire
podcast about her divorce. That's why he's asking her. She

(01:40:12):
monetized it, so it's like it's part of her brand now.
It's not like this guy read in a dirt sheet
that she got divorced and it's trying to poke at it.
It's because she's talking about it publicly, and he's like, hey,
I'm giving he was giving her an opportunity to hype
that brand, and instead she like dressed the guy down
because you know, how dare you speak to me?

Speaker 6 (01:40:31):
And then he was just like I'm married nine years
and she had no comeback for it. I was so
happy for him.

Speaker 1 (01:40:36):
Well, and then when when he was like, well, what
would you say to He's like, what advice would you
give to somebody else who was like, you know, gearing
up a divorce? She's like, why it's not good at
home or like something. Yeah, really appropriate comment. Yeah, she's
the worst. BT twenty three for two dollars. All in
equals decent, bad equals Britt Monette and Ricochet debut. I
concur Andre Adams twenty years retired Navy. I definitely felt

(01:41:01):
some kind of way about the flag prop. Thank you
for your thank you for your service, sir. We salute
you here on this show.

Speaker 2 (01:41:06):
We love it.

Speaker 1 (01:41:06):
We love our troops and our armed forces on this show. Seriously, Yes,
thank you for your perspective. Thank you for your service,
Thank you for everything.

Speaker 6 (01:41:16):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:41:17):
Producer net Beer checking in for a Tuney says, uh,
Tony toown wrestling, and he gave it, Tony, I get
it because Canadian money. He goes Bob Horton, you got
a disease, boy disease and they called it aids amazing
Ruben hot for five dollars. Danielson coming out two weeks
after taking me move that quote unquote traumatized Osprey kind

(01:41:40):
of made me feel kind of eh, yeah, I mean
like Ausbrey is supposed to not be doing this move
because it injured Brian Danielson, but then he's like, oh,
can't do this move, brov It took Brillan Danielson out
for two whole weeks. No, I one hundred percent agree
with you, Ruben, that's ridiculous. Craig Churchill for two dollar
Canadian says Is Danielson Finally, the B plus player Triple

(01:42:03):
H said that he is. I think that I think
he is only in terms of the fact that he's breakable,
you know, like his body can't. You just can't do
as much.

Speaker 6 (01:42:14):
Anymore, right, And no one's telling him to slow down.

Speaker 1 (01:42:18):
No, no, of course not if anything, you're telling him
to speed up. Not true. His daughter is and oh yeah,
tell that story disc because that was weird. Oh my gosh.

Speaker 10 (01:42:27):
Okay, So they he came out during the press conference
and had this whole beautiful it was a beautiful speech
about his daughter and about how she said she and
she said, how how what did you tell me that?

Speaker 1 (01:42:41):
How you know how daddy loves you? How you know
daddy loves you? And she said, I know daddy loves
me because he's stopping right right, He's not going to
wrestle anymore. By the way, there totally told her to
say that, go in the room and tell daddy this. Yeah,
And then Dave Meltzer come, nothing goes. But don't you
want to go to all Australia? Eh, don't you want

(01:43:04):
to do? Is it wrestling more important than your father's help?
Is absentee fathers? That's an I hate him. Sorry I
missed Christmas. But didn't you like that bike you got?

Speaker 10 (01:43:19):
That's it's gross, it's disgusting and it's a sign of
someone who has no business being a parent or you know.
It's this mentality that wrestling is more important than anything
and we can bribe our kids with trips to Australia
to allow them to possibly see me kill myself in

(01:43:40):
the ring.

Speaker 1 (01:43:41):
Like it's disgusting. MJG for four nine. Look how the
Australia show is promoted with all the references to x WWE.
Will it work?

Speaker 2 (01:43:50):
No?

Speaker 1 (01:43:50):
Would WBD prefer it? Yes? So yeah, they just released
They're like they got no Australians on their Australian show promotion.
It's all the form of w W guysco It's it's insane.
Not even Tony they mentioned Tony, they mentioned her, Yeah,
yeah it was. I couldn't believe. It was just all

(01:44:11):
the w W E guys. It's just that that's that's
where we're at. That's that's how Tony uh Tony Kahan
values these were these wrestlers. If you were in w
w E, you're valuable. I don't know. M j G
for five dollars also says when WBD asks how you're
going to improve things, you reference the biggest style you have.
That's also the problem he's retiring. Yeah, that's the thing.

(01:44:34):
Daniel Danielson has a shelf life. If you believe he's
actually retiring, this would be like the fourth Brian Danielson retirement.
I think at this at this point, he's the guy
keeps coming back more than Terry Funk, Rick Flair and Terry.

Speaker 6 (01:44:50):
Funk Like, I'm always just going to always want to wrestle.

Speaker 1 (01:44:53):
Mm hmmm uh. John j d nine ninety nine for
one nine nine Hangman's an insult to magnum in every
Wayne movie and Cowboy.

Speaker 7 (01:45:01):
Bill wats yours? I feel that my soul.

Speaker 1 (01:45:05):
Let's not forget Cowboy Bill. Colin Taylor for twenty dollars,
thank you so much, my friend dis and Kevi Ney
to stop fighting. Can't we all just get a bong
me cous don't fight? It's awful I can see why
you can use them.

Speaker 6 (01:45:20):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (01:45:21):
Yeah, well you know he lives in Japan, so they're
both pretty I will.

Speaker 7 (01:45:25):
A lot of you guys over there, just a bunch
of Barretts yelling.

Speaker 16 (01:45:36):
This is for the planet and my daughter Ma lean
soul up here to take the load off your shoulders.

Speaker 1 (01:45:48):
I like everyone in the Chat of a minute ago
was talking about with Dad, I am, and I'm just
racist for real, you.

Speaker 7 (01:45:59):
The cowboy Adam Page is a can we curse right now?

Speaker 1 (01:46:04):
Go ahead?

Speaker 7 (01:46:05):
That Page is a bitch.

Speaker 1 (01:46:11):
Like some shit rack cowboy god. That one broke me,
that one broke me. Uh MJG for four ninety nine

(01:46:33):
says you think WBD hasn't seen the decline since where
it became champ. That's been gas lit with how how
great he's been. And it's not all his fault, but still,
but it is his fault. When you are the top guy,
you shoulder the responsibility people. People. When people look at
that period of time when Diesel was world champion, they
blame Diesel for the for for the fact that he's

(01:46:55):
he was at the time the lowest drawing w w
F champion of all time. And I would say swerve
is probably the lowest drawing a W World champion of
all time. But that's okay because Brian Danielson is about
to become the lowest drawing ae W world. Every ae
W champion is going to be the lowest drawing ae

(01:47:16):
W World champion of all time if things keep going
the way they're going.

Speaker 7 (01:47:19):
The declines with in effects. Since MJF got the title,
he he kicked off the he kicked off the No
No Mill party.

Speaker 1 (01:47:28):
So well, no, it started during punk, it did start
during punk. Let's punk doesn't get to skirt that they did.
They dipped during They dip during Punk because we used
to call him no Mill Phil and uh yeah, and
and you know, collision never never hit those heights, even
with it being his show. And and then MJF got

(01:47:49):
it and it just continued to go down, down, down.
Then the snowball started rolling down the hill during the
reign of Punk on Culture Barbarian checking in for five dollars,
I don't think that even Dave Schultz slapping the hell
out of Tony Con would knock any sense into him. Well,
we've seen it happen twice on Headlock Headlines. Dave Schultz
has slap tuny con twice. So and by the way,

(01:48:11):
that's my favorite joke we've en't done on Headlock Headlines
when Dave Schultz slap tuny con. Yes, probably my probably
my favorite. The way it worked, it just worked so well.
That wasn't that a precursor to Dave Schultz on this shows? Yeah?
It was before it Yeah, that's why I thought it was.
It was before the show even existed. JPS for two

(01:48:32):
Dollars is they had Jamie Hayter on the pre show
f that comp co Yeah, and last called Podcast for
two Dollars FTR and Chris Jericho, the Muffin the Muffin
Top Triplets. Oh do you know the Muffin May, the
Muffin Man, the Muffin May. Oh my goodness, we just

(01:48:55):
got Samurai sam for two dollars? What's the longest well
you all can do? I don't know what he means.

Speaker 6 (01:49:04):
You guys want to.

Speaker 1 (01:49:08):
Well, I'm the only one left, so yeah, that's fine,
you want.

Speaker 2 (01:49:20):
No.

Speaker 1 (01:49:20):
I think we probably do say it a lot when
we're talking. I mean, we made fun of melts if
you're doing it, but we do it too. I was
a trombone player, so I can hold on flag at
JA eighty one for two dollars. Distress sees two book
of tees on the.

Speaker 6 (01:49:32):
Screen right now, and this was that a rusty trombone
that you used to play?

Speaker 1 (01:49:39):
Or it was it actually was, Yeah, it was.

Speaker 6 (01:49:43):
Don't look that up. People do not look that up.

Speaker 1 (01:49:47):
Don't look that up. Don't look it up. Maximization Colin
Taylor for another twenty dollars. Man, oh man, you're a
fire tonight, my friend. I'm listening while driving, so I
have no idea who said what at what time? And
I'm not saying they look alike, but they kind of
sound alike. I'm not racist. I used to fix airplanes

(01:50:07):
again here that makes sense? Yeah, no, I I don't.
I dove and took that bullet.

Speaker 17 (01:50:12):
Came.

Speaker 1 (01:50:14):
Guy spent the guy spent twenty bucks to let you
know that he's not racist. Do I do enjoy that?

Speaker 6 (01:50:19):
You hear this? Boys? Colin? This is awful wrestling. Go ahead, keV.

Speaker 1 (01:50:25):
Oh, I'm keV this is Kevie. I'm Apollo, and I
don't like bears for any kind. Matview hosted for five dollars.
How about Meltzer in Osprey nearly confessing their love during
the media scrum. Oh that was the stupidest, most ridiculous

(01:50:47):
thing I've ever seen. Dave Moltz is here. I'm like,
oh my god, shut up, buddy. Oh well, you know what,
Look I was well Osprey, I'd love Dave Meltzer too.

Speaker 10 (01:51:02):
It was so over the top that it was anyone
else but Will Osprey. I think it was a joke,
but I know it wasn't because.

Speaker 1 (01:51:07):
It was him. Yeah, of course, of course. Andre Adams
from Jericho, Jericho built like his kitchen, dirty.

Speaker 2 (01:51:21):
Yo.

Speaker 11 (01:51:22):
I used to work with a dude that had that
same type of humor and it would crack.

Speaker 6 (01:51:31):
Nothing.

Speaker 3 (01:51:31):
We will say.

Speaker 1 (01:51:33):
Nothing, we will say it is gonna be funnier than
I don't know why that cracked me up so much.

Speaker 6 (01:51:41):
Shout out Andre Adams.

Speaker 1 (01:51:43):
Oh man, that was funny. Oh that.

Speaker 11 (01:51:46):
Oh by the way, did you guys happen to see
Soria Soria's entrance into the Post media the post all
in media scrum.

Speaker 6 (01:51:56):
I'm trade right, she said that.

Speaker 1 (01:51:58):
You imagine she didn't do anything on the show. She
was on the pretty show. Yeah, it doesn't count. She
was there to say the word because that word is cool, Marv,
It's cool.

Speaker 11 (01:52:11):
Who I was a TV executive. No, no, no, she
just came in and started f bombing, like what the
shut the f up? I came in here and you
she just dressed down everybody and it looked like first off, Renee,
she high tailed it the hell out of there. As
soon as Sarriah came in there. She was like, I
don't want to be a part of this that. I

(01:52:32):
don't know who the gentleman was who used to be
an a tag team or whatever, but he was no
selling everything to the point where Sarriah was just like
and you shut the f up to like it was
just a massacre of a moment. Like if you're a
television executive watching that, you're like, what excuse me, what
are we about to invest in or get a TV

(01:52:53):
deal with police? She's the worst. She ruined that entire scrum.

Speaker 1 (01:53:02):
I mean, look, it doesn't take much to ruin those scrums.
They're already ruined by the fact that they that they exist.
I cannot stand those press scrums. They are the absolute worst.
I hate them with all of my beings.

Speaker 6 (01:53:14):
You shouldn't, my man, because they are content gold they.

Speaker 1 (01:53:18):
Really I know. Look, look, look it's like this way,
look at the TV channel, right, I hate The Acolyte.
But if they turned around tomorrow and they were like, hey,
we just green lit The Acolyte season two, I would
be like, yes, Like I hate the Rings of Power
because I love Tolkien with all my heart, like he's
a member of my family, but I am so looking

(01:53:41):
forward to the Rings of Power. You have no idea,
so I do.

Speaker 10 (01:53:48):
I do like the way WW has been doing theirs
recently where it's obviously preapproved questions.

Speaker 1 (01:53:54):
Well, they made it. They made it, they made it
work better into a post show. So yeah, what was
the big drama on this one? Besides the divorce question?
It was somebody like somebody asked Tony about the FTW
Championship and he was like, oh, good bye.

Speaker 6 (01:54:09):
He said it.

Speaker 10 (01:54:09):
He's like he said something about like well when he
brought it in, it was kind of a joke. And
then Tony got really defensive about it. You know, he
was basically saying, is it a real AAW title now?

Speaker 2 (01:54:20):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:54:21):
And Tony got very defensive, and then Taz went on
Twitter and said, basically, I think it's time to put
it to rest.

Speaker 10 (01:54:27):
So oh did he really he said something like he
it was very cryptic and it was something like, uh,
maybe it's run its course.

Speaker 1 (01:54:35):
And he just said, now that Hooks got it back,
Now that Hooks got it back, I think hook needs
to just retire the belt. I hate, I hate what
they've done with it because I loved it. Man. I
had a picture of the FTW title on my wall
back in the day.

Speaker 7 (01:54:49):
CW title was so over it was the other world
title at one point.

Speaker 1 (01:54:54):
Yeah won it when Sabu won it and he put
the tape on it with his name. Yep, you can
call this the Brooklyn World Belt. I mean it was, dude.
You know, if you want, if you never experienced ECW,
you don't know the glory that is Taz. I mean,

(01:55:15):
look good, god man, he was everything you want to
talk about. Guys, WWE dropped the ball on Taz is
his first and foremost on that list for me, because
Taz was the guy in ECW. I mean, he was
just this butt kicking machine and it was I mean,

(01:55:37):
like from from the moment that.

Speaker 6 (01:55:43):
That was.

Speaker 1 (01:55:43):
That was one of the theme musics for One Night's
Stand when they got that, Like, I'm so glad they
used that and not his WWE theme. W W theme
is fine, but when they hit kiss one machine in
the in the Hammerstein Ballroom. Look, I know Taz didn't
do much. It just put Kurt Angle in the in
the task mission, but man, that's a moment.

Speaker 6 (01:56:04):
He was so good.

Speaker 11 (01:56:05):
Taz was so good that when he went to the
WWF at the time, you were crestfallen when when you
saw what they were doing to him, like it was
just like what is happening?

Speaker 6 (01:56:19):
He was such a beast in ECW.

Speaker 1 (01:56:22):
It started off right. It started off good Angle beating
Kurt Angle. Oh yeah, ending Kurd Angle, the first guy
to ever beat Kurt Angle and Kurt Angle's winning streak.

Speaker 6 (01:56:33):
It won.

Speaker 10 (01:56:35):
It really wasn't until it really wasn't until he went
back and won the ECW title for Mike Awesome and
then lost to Triple H on SmackDown.

Speaker 1 (01:56:44):
That was in ww By the way, two hundred and
fifty people in the chat right now. Thank you guys
so much. This is definitely the biggest crowd for for
a live Tuny Talk wrestling we've ever had a regular episode.

Speaker 6 (01:57:00):
Please please hit that like button.

Speaker 1 (01:57:02):
Yes, thank chair subscribe, it really does help. Thank you
guys so much. But yes, when when when so for
people that don't know, Mike Awesome was the ECW champ
So when Taz left to go to w w E,
they it was Taz versus Missado Tanaka and then they
added Mike Awesome to it and making a three way dance.
They had a fantastic match. Taz got eliminated first, and

(01:57:23):
I remember, I remember, in my opinion, right up there
with God is my witness, he's broken in half. Good God, Almighty,
Good God, Almighty. He killed him? Is Joey Styles. Taz
has been Taz has been eliminated. I loved that moment.
And the entire roster came out and gave him a

(01:57:44):
standing ovation on the on the ramp, and when he
got out of there, and then that left Missado Tanaka
and Mike Awesome and then they tore the house down
and Mike Awesome won the ECW World Championship and he
was he was killing it. And then suddenly alone long
came Uncle Eric and Ted Turtus check book and they
signed Mike Ausome and they wanted him to bring the

(01:58:05):
e c W World Title to w CW, and thankfully
they got the belt away from him. But then after
that they had Mike Awsome come back to ECW to
drop the belt, and he dropped it to Taz, who
was a w WE guy. It was the only time
ever a w CW contracted wrestler faced off with a
WWE contracted wrestler and history was made that night, and

(01:58:28):
Taz won the title and then he brought it to
the SmackDown and then Vincic Mann instantly had Triple H
beat him.

Speaker 10 (01:58:35):
Just ridiculous and had to interfere for no reason other
than you know, Tommy, you're a.

Speaker 1 (01:58:44):
You're an e W E c W two.

Speaker 7 (01:58:48):
Go get beat up by my son in law.

Speaker 1 (01:58:51):
And Triple H was the WWE champion at the time. Yeah,
but no, the reason Tommy Dreamer interfered was because they
use that as a storyline jumping off point for ECW,
because Task dropped the belt to Tommy Dreamer and then
Tommy Dreamer immediately dropped and when I say immediately, I
mean within a minute drop the belt to just to

(01:59:12):
just incredible. That was beautiful, That was beautiful that he
did that plastic Tommy Dreamer. He finally got his win,
he finally got it, and then he immediately lost it.
That is that is the quintessential Tommy Dreamer because Tommy
Dreamer always had to be fighting from underneath. If Tommy
Dreamer was ever on top for a prolonged period of time,
the story's over.

Speaker 6 (01:59:32):
And that was a beautiful thing about it. He was
never on.

Speaker 1 (01:59:36):
The beat Raven until that last match, and he still
didn't want to beat him in that last match. I
love that last match Tommy Dreamer and Raven. But I
think that, other than the Undertaker and Kane, is the
only thing that I think is a challenge to Tommy
Dreamer versus Raven as the greatest story ever told in wrestling. Yeah,
I give it to tom dream Raven personally over the two,

(01:59:57):
because that wouldn't be my choice, but we won't go there.

Speaker 6 (02:00:01):
Was pretty damn good too, man.

Speaker 1 (02:00:02):
I mean Haaz in Saboo, I mean you remember when
remember when when like the lights went out and they
came on and like Sabo was in the ring with
Taz and like they hadn't touched each other yet, and
they ran at each other and then like the show
just ended just the Taz Bam Bam feud. I love
that when they when they go through the ramp. Mm hmmm.

(02:00:26):
I I love watching on the on the e c
W DVD, The Rise and Fall e c W. They
had alternate commentary for Taz versus Bam Bam, and it's
Tazz and Michael Cole doing the commentary on it, and
Taz like like rex Bam Bam in the face and
Michael Cole just goes, what was that for? He goes, oh, yeah,
that was for early and the kick to the back

(02:00:47):
of the head, like just like completely off the cuff,
and that one. It was so good. He chopped it, did.

Speaker 15 (02:00:58):
Me.

Speaker 1 (02:01:01):
But yeah, then then Taz became an announcement because he
started feuding with Jim Ross and Jerry Lawla, so whatever.
But I remember I was so excited for Jos.

Speaker 7 (02:01:12):
I think I commentary the the.

Speaker 1 (02:01:18):
I remember when he was in the Battle Royal and
Hayman's like freaking out a commentary that Taz the guy,
and Jared goes, wow, you do it, Get in the ring,
shock him with your ball mass head Jr. And Paul
Hayman as a commentary dueo. By the way, that is
one of my favorite duos of all time because it
got progressively more violent at each other because Jr. Hated

(02:01:46):
and Paul oh my god, dude, dude, Hayman. Hayman would
push and push and push and JR. And then like
once once Hayman turns full on heel and joins the alliance.
It just becomes the two of them cutting promos on
each other in the middle of the matches. It's amazing
when whenever, whenever I call someone a human septic tank,

(02:02:07):
it's because I learned that from JR. Calling Hayman that. Wow,
until oh my god, so much worse. And then like
it actually had a payoff after after the Survivor series,
the winner take All match, Vince brings Hayman out and
Hayman thinks that he's going that he he got away

(02:02:28):
with it, he's getting his job back, and he goes
to the commentary with and then Vince fires him, and
Hayman makes it he's gonna fight Vince. And then he
gets out of the ring and he dives across the
commentary table at JR. And Jon lights him up. He
gets like halfway over the commentation and Jon just starts
pelting him in the face. He's going, come on, you,
son of a bitch. And then security drags Hayman out

(02:02:52):
like the carrying him out, and Jon goes cou Cooke
ca Chew, the Walrus is dead, and then Prinz brings
Lala back out, and Lala comes out as they're dragging
Hayman away and waves goodbye to Paul Hayman. It's the
greatest feel good moment in the history of wrestling. Yeah, see, Jr.

(02:03:12):
Didn't hate Paul Hayman as a human being.

Speaker 6 (02:03:15):
JR.

Speaker 1 (02:03:15):
Hated the fact that Paul Hayman took Jerry Lawler spot.

Speaker 17 (02:03:18):
There.

Speaker 6 (02:03:18):
It was okay, that makes much more sense.

Speaker 1 (02:03:22):
He missed he missed the King. He definitely missed the King.
Man Man all right. Moving along. So now that Ricochet
is in a w apparently apparently there's something in your
AEW contract where the second that you signed with this
company you have to immediately stop being an absolute jackass

(02:03:43):
to fans. It's sad because I you heard were during
the paper view when Ricochet came out, I go, hey, Max,
Ricochet's on He really and he ran downstairs like this
is a Ricochet house. We like Ricochet. We're not gonna
buy his merch, but you know, we like Ricochet and
to see him. You don't like him enough to buy
his merchant support him, but we like him. I mean,
you know, we like him enough, we like he's fine,

(02:04:05):
but to see him do this now, it's like you
go from one day being like good for Ricochet to
the next day being like, oh, come on, dude, you
know I felt I felt good for Ricochet. I've I've
been saying since the beginning, this is where Ricochet belongs. Uh,
it's it's where more people will actually, like, I don't know,
be able to appreciate him. And I thought that he
would get more of a push. I didn't realize Tony

(02:04:26):
was going to bury him the second he came out,
even though he very much did. Let's take a look
at what he did. So in pure like this happened
with Edge, it happens with everyone. Man, they come to
a w and immediately they just start going at it

(02:04:47):
with fans on Twitter about AW.

Speaker 6 (02:04:49):
You get proselytized at the church of a.

Speaker 1 (02:04:51):
E W yep souh A soldier Chris ninety five, he
is saying Ricochet didn't waste any time owning people on
social media when he left w BE to join AW.
So let's see, I've been a fan since I stumbled
on to Luca Underground on Netflix. Hope to see you
back in WWE soon. Anything else is a step backwards,
and Ricochet goes, bro, you have three hundred and ninety

(02:05:14):
three followers, you'd be lucky to be a step backward
from anything I've accomplished. Lol, Really Ricochet the guys like,
I'm a fan of yours and in defense of a
why can't you just ignore this? Why can't you just
let a guy with three hundred and ninety three followers
say this and not respond to it and have to
go after the follower count? I don't. I never understood.

(02:05:37):
That's the weirdest flex I never in my life.

Speaker 7 (02:05:41):
Because the big follower account is supposed to be a
form of validation. This was a perfect opportunity to put
over aw's your new home, and you.

Speaker 1 (02:05:50):
Know, you know it'd be nice to the guy just
be like, look, man, you know, like I understand you
may not have tried it out in the past, but
you know, I hope you come check it out. Man,
if you're a fan, come check out what I'm gonna
be because I promise you I'm gonna be doing some
of the greatest stuff. If you think that that I've
shown you good stuff already, are he.

Speaker 6 (02:06:06):
Doesn't want to the guy.

Speaker 7 (02:06:08):
That's what that's that that's a best is yet to
come moment, and you to behave like a petulant child.

Speaker 1 (02:06:15):
It's so petulant. Hold on. Then he goes, that's a
fair assessment. Sure, I meant no disrespect, and I hope
it works out. But let's be real here, no one
gets busted. Back to the mind as it is happy
about it. Don't shoot the message of good luck. He says,
I chose this, and I am very happy with my choice.
He goes, let me ask you, is there any match
in a w that is more compelling than Seth Drew

(02:06:35):
Roman or Orton O J Pockets maybe or or Shrunken Taker. Doubtful,
but hey, I'll tune in an occasion and see how
it's going. For sure, I don't know. Maybe, And he
goes that that's opinion based. And then when you start
to lose this battle, you resort to name calling just
to try to get at of someone uncool. Maybe just

(02:06:58):
unfollow and enjoy your life. Why are you have this conversation?
You did it first, You did it, Yeah, you attacked.

Speaker 6 (02:07:06):
He didn't even tag him in the tweet.

Speaker 1 (02:07:09):
The weird thing is is that Rick Ahet.

Speaker 10 (02:07:11):
The first thing he did was he kind of threw
shade at aew because Kyle Fletcher made that tweet about
Ricochet and he said something like, well, uh about him
being a speed champion. Rickshet said, more people saw those
matches that have ever seen any of your matches.

Speaker 1 (02:07:25):
But I'm going to change that soon. So he's bringing
it on.

Speaker 10 (02:07:28):
He's bringing these that that was a work, that was
a work that wasn't work, but he did it on Twitter.
So ww fans are going to see that, and oh
they think, though the floodgates open, I can make.

Speaker 1 (02:07:37):
These comments now. And then it's like Rick's like I
can say that. You can't say that, you know. Also,
somebody said somebody said he'll be on our wage in
two months. He says, I hope, so I love our Wah,
why are you retweeting this stuff? Someone says broke the
job for twenty one years. He says, it's really true though,
that right, that was some humility. But then this person says,
why are we shocked Rickoshet acting like this? Did you

(02:07:59):
guys not see how he reacted when someone asked him
why he was bald? I've never seen this clip, so.

Speaker 7 (02:08:04):
Why you bowled?

Speaker 6 (02:08:04):
Why you asked the dumb question like that, why you boald?
Why you ugly? Why you bowld?

Speaker 13 (02:08:12):
Why?

Speaker 2 (02:08:13):
Why?

Speaker 6 (02:08:13):
Why was he at your vacation spot? The keV oh my.

Speaker 1 (02:08:19):
During look at this, now this this poor lady. She's like,
I love Ricochet, I don't watch AW, but I'll be
watching them highlights for sure. He can't let this one go.
Five hundred and fifty three people had seen this had
seen this tweet. It had five likes and two responses,
one of which is Ricochet. I was how does he

(02:08:43):
even see it?

Speaker 10 (02:08:45):
I was tempted to post something like because my my, well, my,
my real issue is I you know, Max likes Ricochet,
he'd like to see a Ricochet match, but I honestly
I'm not gonna let Max watch AW. And he doesn't
want to watch AW anyway, it's not his style. But
like I'm not with what they do on their television.

(02:09:06):
I can't let my son watch that, you know. And
I was thinking about posting something like that and seeing
Howard respond to it, because.

Speaker 1 (02:09:12):
There really is no clearly respond because yeah, because there
really is any no answer to that. He goes, hmmm,
I'm conflicted with this. So if you love watching me,
then why won't you watch me at aw just so
you could say I'm not watching that serious question, why
are you attacking this poor girl?

Speaker 6 (02:09:29):
That's a damn shame.

Speaker 7 (02:09:30):
This this.

Speaker 1 (02:09:32):
This guy tries to to like a guy head off
and what were you gonna say?

Speaker 6 (02:09:36):
This just goes back to like the the organization of
the company that he just left, Like, you're not pulling
these kind of stunts in the big mega corporation that
is the WWE. If AEW does not get their Twitter
act straight, their social media pr straight, you're always going
to see this nonsense. Well, this is the first time

(02:09:58):
I'm seeing this, and I'm like, this is astounding.

Speaker 1 (02:10:01):
I can't believe you didn't see this because this was everywhere.

Speaker 7 (02:10:04):
I didn't know this even happened. But this isn't This
is insight as to why he stayed at the level
he was at exactly in spite of the w B
spending lots of money to reform, to reform his character
or to rebuild it. Because the flippy nerdy guy who
wasn't over after you saw him do the flippy thing

(02:10:24):
from the outside of the ring to the edith of
the floor twice, it was done. They they they spent
buokoo bucks trying to build him up from an indie
darlin to a superstar and actually made him serviceable on
the mic. But if you're wondering why he didn't get
to the next level, it's this. It's this petulant child,
indie d bag nonsense that you see here because he's

(02:10:47):
acting like all these other morons that you see in
every Elks lodge and VFW across the freaking country. Spoiled
that who doesn't understand that you're a pissant in the
grand scheme of things that only gives two craps about you.
You're a bolt at a jobber whose only skill was
flipping and getting and being pinned on your back one
two three, f fatty here.

Speaker 1 (02:11:08):
Bro Well, it was partly because of that Kevin, partly
because brock Leslon was like, you want me to work
with that guy who was in the video where he
was fingering his own butthole? I don't think so was like,
I'm not selling for a guy that's on video fingering
his own butt.

Speaker 11 (02:11:23):
WWE knows everything about you when you get there, and
they knew stuff like this about Ricochet when he was
there and it was just like you know.

Speaker 6 (02:11:33):
How it goes, gentlemen. You're in a company or whatever.

Speaker 11 (02:11:37):
Did the rumors start flying, People start to find out
things of certain things about you. They found out about Ricochet.
You're only going to go up to this certain level.
I so agree with you, keV, like it's it's the generation.

Speaker 1 (02:11:49):
If you agree with me. You don't agree with keV.
Oh you are agreeing with keV?

Speaker 6 (02:11:53):
Yes, the hell's the matter with you?

Speaker 1 (02:11:56):
I thought you were talking. I thought you were saying
you agree with me about the fingering thing. Oh no,
I mean, I'm I don't remember where I heard that,
but I heard it a long time ago. But now
that I know, awful that you had you heard about that?
I just never no, I heard about Okay, kiss knew,

(02:12:19):
I knew this. This is the thing, this ahead.

Speaker 7 (02:12:22):
We don't need context this.

Speaker 1 (02:12:24):
No, No, I want the context. I don't know the context.

Speaker 6 (02:12:29):
I know there was a video with him, Oh, just
a random video. Okay.

Speaker 1 (02:12:34):
I didn't watch it. I didn't.

Speaker 10 (02:12:36):
I just I just heard people tell me about it,
or i'd see people link to it and I'd be like, nope,
not watching.

Speaker 1 (02:12:42):
That, Nope, Yeah, yeah, I made the rounds a couple
of years back and then and then very very soon
after Brock Lesseners squashed him. So yeah, I thought making
the assumption that Brock was like, uh uh, Brock don't
play with girls, but the Blessed Titans fancher to stick
up for this poor girl and says, I don't think

(02:13:03):
she was saying this to Diyssu bro I think it
was just that maybe ae W isn't for her, but
she likes you would have to keep up with what
you're doing. And then he goes but doesn't like me
enough to watch my actual batches, just enough to only
watch the highlights. You're not being my fan in the
right way. Damn it. You know.

Speaker 7 (02:13:21):
I hate this guy now.

Speaker 1 (02:13:24):
I didn't like I was rooting for him. I liked
him until I saw him doing this. I don't here this.

Speaker 7 (02:13:32):
This little sissy can get all the knuckles deep. I hope,
I don't care. I hope they find him like David
Karenine at this point, how.

Speaker 1 (02:13:44):
Does Samantha Irvin like, like, look at him naked? But
I mean he's in good shape, so you know, maybe.

Speaker 6 (02:13:50):
She went on a blocking spree all this week, And
now I understand why why she's got her.

Speaker 7 (02:13:56):
She's got her girlfriend throwing a throwing a pre menstrual
cramp tirade.

Speaker 1 (02:14:01):
And you know what, And that's the that's the other thing,
Like you start carrying on on Twitter like this, you
know people are gonna start messing with your girl, with
your fiance over it. Why would you put that on her?
Why would you bring that Why would you bring that
juju onto her?

Speaker 6 (02:14:14):
She was telling something for the company, uh for an
entire year where she was showing ass on Twitter during
Dynamite on Wednesdays, and then as soon as this man
gets signed, she was like, a you know what, I
think I'm gonna retire that gimmick, so uh.

Speaker 1 (02:14:31):
And then it's it's weird. I'm asking simple, innocent question.
Maybe she got work or something while you're wrestling. I
don't think she's trying to diss you, bro so because
she's got work. She can only watch the highlights. Stop it.
It's it's weird that you're being so online about this.
You're a TV star man. Some people don't like the

(02:14:51):
AAW presentation. This person is saying they will watch what
you do on their regardless. AEW wants to be different
and it is and at some points, it's worse. He goes, no,
that's not what they said. They said they're just gonna
watch the highlights. You know, you don't have to watch
the whole show just to watch one full match. Stop it.

Speaker 6 (02:15:14):
Ricochet just dropped eighty cool points on me.

Speaker 11 (02:15:17):
Man, good lord, I'm sitting here stunned, just like keV
is like, I've not seen this, and I'm like, are
you kidding me? All the time in the world, you
just sign a fresh new contract, you're in a whole
new company.

Speaker 1 (02:15:31):
And you go out like this, at least blocked. At
least Edge just blocked people. Yeah, I just don't go
on the internet. Edge just blocked people. And that's great.
I blocked people all the time. It's fun. I hit
the button and watch them disappear. Yeah, like Jim Cornett
blocks people. Why look, guys, what does movin the movie

(02:15:54):
Monster always say about people that respond like this to critics?

Speaker 7 (02:15:58):
This?

Speaker 1 (02:15:58):
What do I always say about I don't know, I
don't I don't like Wow, I've said it enough times
when the audience is going to know it. You only
respond like this when you are feeling insecure. Yes, And
he went out there and and look was it. Hold on,
was this before or after? I don't know if this

(02:16:22):
is before or after the pay per view, but it
almost to me this reads like I'm feeling really insecure
about this decision that I made. Yep, and I have
to defend my decision. Yep, it's insecure.

Speaker 11 (02:16:34):
Yes, jeezus, I'm sitting here like I'm buzzing right now,
like I can't believe that this professional athlete who's been
in the business what again, twenty years apparently, and came
from the biggest wrestling company on the planet to this
dung hole of a company and acts this way.

Speaker 6 (02:16:56):
Tony Kahan, you have made one of the biggest mistakes
of your life.

Speaker 1 (02:17:01):
Well, no, at the end of the days, here's the
thing is, so do you think he was like this
in w w E but just wasn't allowed to do it? Yes, yes, yes, yes,
And I.

Speaker 7 (02:17:10):
Bet you Hunter tolerated it because he was Hunter's toy.
And then a second he got to that main roster,
Vince took one look at him and sized him up
to the tee and said, put this whimp on the
And it's only by virtue of Evince having to go
away because he has a creepy paralegal fetish that that

(02:17:32):
I got this vagina jammed down my throat for the
last three years.

Speaker 1 (02:17:36):
I hate.

Speaker 7 (02:17:40):
Hate.

Speaker 11 (02:17:41):
I am now a gigantic bron Breaker fan. Now I
wish they would have done what they did with him,
what bron Breaker did. I wish they had gone to
break and come back and bron Breakers still destroying his ass.

Speaker 6 (02:17:54):
Unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (02:17:55):
I will disagree with.

Speaker 10 (02:17:58):
Oh, of course you will, because well, I don't think
this is the biggest mistake Tony's ever made, because I
think Rickett is going to fit in famously backstage.

Speaker 1 (02:18:06):
Oh yeah, he is in the.

Speaker 7 (02:18:10):
Home of the and I'm sorry if you're but he
is in the home of the woke. Soy boy bitch
Bratton Twitter Twitter mutant, cry baby ruin everybody's good time,
moron mutant that you see running around on Twitter, forcing

(02:18:30):
their way into the guard, into the wrestling ring, forcing
their fat ugly goth girlfriend down your throat at shows.

Speaker 1 (02:18:41):
Or now we're getting into this personal story.

Speaker 7 (02:18:47):
You can't feel it to be you're being abusive, no
jerk off. You think you're terrible in the ring, You
get people killed, and you don't sell tickets. That's why
the books you you look like a morning your trash
back pants. Ricochet's home. He's home now, he's a way
for Queen Ricochet. I hope I can't. I hope we never.

(02:19:11):
I hope the next time we are talking about Ricochet
it is because his memorial episode is coming.

Speaker 13 (02:19:18):
I'm not.

Speaker 1 (02:19:21):
It's a lot we have in the rule we do
not wish death upon people on this show.

Speaker 6 (02:19:26):
I don't think he was. I don't think he wished
death of them upon him.

Speaker 7 (02:19:29):
I didn't wish death upon him. I'm just talking about him.

Speaker 1 (02:19:37):
He hopes we don't talk about him for seventy years. Okay, okay,
that now that makes a bit more sense. My goodness,
what I am? I have something to say like that,
I put it into the group chat so that no
one else sees it.

Speaker 7 (02:19:56):
I hope he gets Tiger Driver one night, whatever dumb
thing is called, until I don't have to see him again.

Speaker 1 (02:20:04):
So the yeah, it's just like he I don't know, man,
I was a fan. I liked him, but then like
once once I see once I see people acting like
that to other people, especially like the people that are
your fans, your bread and butter. You're lucky that you
have fans. Every single supporter of Tony Town Tounytown Wrestling.

(02:20:27):
I love because I'm like, Wow, you guys appreciate the
things that I'm doing. That's great. If somebody was like, hey, mov,
I really like the headlock headlines, but I don't like,
you know, watching the live streams. You know, maybe I'll
just catch the clips.

Speaker 6 (02:20:40):
Fine, that's fine.

Speaker 1 (02:20:42):
Who am I to tell you how.

Speaker 6 (02:20:43):
You should be a fan?

Speaker 1 (02:20:45):
Just don't ask me more headlock headlines. Just yeah, just
don't ask me when it's coming out.

Speaker 6 (02:20:52):
It's all. We're all gonna have to take a minute
out of this one because holy shite.

Speaker 1 (02:20:59):
Oh boy. All right, So, speaking of things that upset
some people, I am triggered to awful and awful and
disc have this weird like uh feud going on with
Brandon Thurston and wrestle Nomics. But typically I try to
keep that kind of stuff off the show. But he
did something today that really cheesed me off, which is

(02:21:19):
why he was in the cold open, because look at this,
Look at this ridiculous report that he did. Hold on
one second, let me find it on. We really are
buoying him. I'm not gonna I'm not gonna.

Speaker 6 (02:21:36):
We are.

Speaker 1 (02:21:38):
We are sure we are. It's fun No, you you
you're giving exactly what you know. So yeah, look at
look at this report. Stop it all right? So this
is your point from Wrestle Nomics WWE Royal Rumble twenty
twenty three. San Antonio paid over fifty five hundred thousand

(02:21:59):
dollars in sight for you and incentives. After legal efforts
to keep the details confidential, We've published the contract that
reveals WWE's deal with the city of San Antonio. This
this why is this one? Please tell me this why
this is misleading? Before we get to the punchline, let's
also talk about it. He has been in court for
a year trying to get this report.

Speaker 10 (02:22:22):
He has talked about it repeatedly on his podcast, He
has posted about it repeatedly on Twitter about how ww is.

Speaker 1 (02:22:27):
Withholding this information. He's made it out to be this
big thing. And then it comes out that they got
five hundred thousand dollars they made the city of San
Antonio made anyway. If you go by the low estimate,
it is fifteen million dollars. If you go by the
high estimate, it is sixty six million dollars. That is

(02:22:48):
over the local economy for the local economy, that is
over a one thousand times ROI on that pay per view.
You think about it, you dig somebody with the platform
wrestle nomics would understand economics, right. But he's been fighting
in court to get this number. And I get it.

(02:23:09):
I get it.

Speaker 10 (02:23:10):
It's about freedom of information. It's about that kind that's
what it's about. But he's not pushing that. He's been
pushing WWE doesn't want you to see this for the.

Speaker 1 (02:23:19):
Past year, and it comes out, and the reason WW
didn't want you to see it is because it's too low.
It's too low. WW should get more.

Speaker 10 (02:23:29):
That's why they didn't want you to see it, because
now it gives other cities thing, well, you only took
five hundred thousand dollars from San Antemio. That's why they
didn't want to see it, Not because it was too high.
But Brandon's been on this kick about how the local
governments are given too much to stadiums and professional wrestling
and blah blah blah blah blah, and he just owned
himself more than any of us could ever do it.

(02:23:50):
It's really he's he's a clown.

Speaker 1 (02:23:54):
Boys and girls gather around because mav and the movie
Monster is going to teach you a little something about
economics if you will. Now, there's a thing called revenue.
That's money that people pay you for your goods or services.
Then there's a thing called costs. Those are the things
that you pay out for things like raw materials, orum payroll.

(02:24:18):
Now there's a thing called profit. That is the difference
between your revenue and your costs. If it is a
higher number, congratulations, you made profit. We call that being
in the black. If you are underneath, if there's a
negative in front of that, you lost money, and we
call that being in the red. It's what AW has

(02:24:38):
been since the beginning of its inception. That is how
business works. It is called the wrestling business because it
is a business. It makes money. I'm so tired of
trying to explain this concept to people, this simple concept

(02:25:00):
money in versus money out. If money in is higher
than money out, you have succeeded as a business. I
never took a single business class in my life, and
I understand this.

Speaker 11 (02:25:12):
Yeah, yeah, he's a philosophy graduate. Correct, Yeah, to be
an idiot or not to be an idiot.

Speaker 1 (02:25:20):
But he's gonna sit there and try to tell you
that ae W is a success when they are bleeding money,
when they're paying, when they're paying this talented crystal lady
ten million dollars or so a year.

Speaker 7 (02:25:32):
Reportedly, he's a keV, he's a philosophy majors. He just
knows how to set money on fire.

Speaker 10 (02:25:43):
There's some stuff that's coming out about Brandon Thurston that
will make all of this very clear.

Speaker 1 (02:25:50):
So I won't get into it because that's for someone
else charge with the teas.

Speaker 10 (02:25:55):
But let's just let's just say that Brandon Thurston definitely
has an interest in one company doing well in the
other company not doing well.

Speaker 1 (02:26:09):
Yes, and yes, by the way, I'm I'm aware that
you know, like Lisa just said, I'm more talking about
accounting than economics. Economics is more supply and demand. I
get it, but I was trying to make the joke
to wrestle nomics. I get it. But yes, it's it's
how business works. And once you understand how business works,

(02:26:31):
that literally any business, whether you're selling lemonade on the
side of the street or whether you're a multinational conglomeration.
You know conglomerate, that that's the corporation that's taking over
the world. It's money in versus money out. That's it.
That's it.

Speaker 6 (02:26:50):
Anat coach.

Speaker 1 (02:27:00):
My god, that's gonna be the next one. Don't do
bees that. But it's good for now.

Speaker 6 (02:27:11):
But yeah, I mean, Brandon, we don't know what you're
up to. But good is strong.

Speaker 1 (02:27:17):
Keep doing it, man, keep It's just it's so purposely misleading.
You're trying to make it sound like w W E
is like taking all this money. But they gave, they
put so much money back into that community. And if
they are so f what you know what I mean,
that's the thing, like you're trying, you're trying to and
this is he sits there. Do you think he had

(02:27:37):
Was he even at all in? Was he sitting in
his little decibel counter or whatever it was. If he
was at all in, he would have been called on
in the presser. So no, he was, That's true, and
not asking any would have asked Tony Kahan the biggest
softball question of the planet, to constantly asking Triple H
about a about a lawsuit that he's not allowed to
talk about. He literally did that on the media call

(02:28:00):
that we went over by the way. Yeah, so what
did he do?

Speaker 6 (02:28:04):
No?

Speaker 10 (02:28:04):
He just he just threw Tony a softball after months
and months of every time Triple H is within earshot
of him, he screams Vincent Man at the top of
his lungs. But then when he gets on the phone
with Tony Kahan, he throws him the easiest softball about like,
what do you think about the success.

Speaker 1 (02:28:20):
Of R O H recently? You know, like that kind
of bs? How do you do how do you continue
to do it every single week? Tony? How good are you?
And how are you so good with Triple H? It's like, now,
can you please explain to me, sir, exactly where you

(02:28:40):
were while your former employer and father in law was
defecating on the head of a of an unwilling victim. Cody, Yeah,
wasn't even there. What was happening? Everybody? John Cena shut
that right down, right down, because John Cena has spoken
on this subject quite a bit. Max, this is not

(02:29:02):
the time to listen to the show. Get off right now.
I believe what I believe. When asked about this, Sina
said the following.

Speaker 15 (02:29:16):
Sina, well, I come ding Jung Jung War, come Jong
War in well hung human as all.

Speaker 1 (02:29:27):
I'm sorry. I just can't never stop. I can never
stop playing that, my goodness. But you you you want
to make this rhetoric, this anti w WE rhetoric, this
pro a w rhetoric, and clearly it's for a reason,
and I'm very interested to see what this is talking about.
By way two hundred and sixty in the chat right now,

(02:29:48):
Thank you guys so much for blowing up the chat tonight.
You guys, you guys are amazing. But you know when
I when I hear the things that Brandon Thurston tries
to say about w W A, I just say to myself,
heard so many eyes in my entire life other than what.

Speaker 2 (02:30:04):
I was saying them.

Speaker 1 (02:30:07):
And maybe lies is the wrong thing to say. It's
just purposely misleading.

Speaker 6 (02:30:12):
That's a lie.

Speaker 1 (02:30:19):
Sorry. I just saw my my clips and I was like,
I gotta play some clips. Good lord. But anyway, one
hundred percent, all right, let's move moving on, moving on.
Uh So, Swerve Strickland new contract over there at aw
would you like to hear a little bit about it
or you know what we know about it, which is
practically nothing his pockets? All right, So Swerve Strickland has

(02:30:45):
signed quote one of the biggest contracts in AW history. Now,
AW is a place that's got some pretty big contracts, right,
I mean historically Swerve Strickland may not be an a
w original, but the past year of his run in
All Elite Wrestling has cemented him as one of the
company's cornerstones. I would agree with that. He is definitely

(02:31:06):
probably a cornerstone in that company at this point. Sure, yeah,
so sorry I opened up the wrong Uh.

Speaker 11 (02:31:15):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (02:31:17):
The Strickland broke out in the fall twenty twenty three
when he feed up a Hangman page talking to the
former AW champion. Okay, we know, we know what he's done,
Swerves Strickland. So even with that championship called Swart Strickland,
the future has never been more certain. Has revealed on
the aew All in London zero hour pre show, Swerves
in a new deal with All Elite Wrestling. Fightful Select
added to this news by reporting that Swerve's new contract
keeps him in the company until at least twenty twenty eight.

(02:31:41):
So it's one of those Tony Kahn four year contracts
and is one of the biggest contracts in AW history. Now,
I mean they backed the dumb truck full of money
up to MJF like the the bag. But now we'll
we'll talk about the stickers in a minute. But Swerve's
previous deal, which he signed upon his debut in Match
twenty twenty two, was said to expire next March, so
that was a three year deal, but both sides felt

(02:32:04):
he had outgrown that contract's terms. It's unclear how much
Swerve signed for, but given the value of top AW contracts,
it's likely to be in the seven figure ballpark. Main
event talent like awtvs Champion Zines, munet AW, Continental Champion,
const Chico Okata and MJF are all reportedly making in
the millions per year on the deals. All right, now,

(02:32:25):
let's think about what we were just talking about, money
in versus money out. You know what we just said,
the way business works. Do you think that Tony Kahn
is going to make seven figures off of Swerve Strickland,
specifically Suave Strickland over you know, over the period of

(02:32:46):
this contract. I mean it's probably seven figures per year.
So you think he's gonna make seven figures per year
off of Swerve Strickland.

Speaker 11 (02:32:54):
No, No, but this also sounds like this also sounds
like I think about I think about what what what
television and movies do?

Speaker 6 (02:33:06):
What do they call them?

Speaker 11 (02:33:07):
Like fluff pieces? But it's not quite a fluff. It's
like something that you just throw the hell out there
to see. You know, well, it's a it's a it's
a shill thing.

Speaker 6 (02:33:17):
There you have it. It's a shill, it's a.

Speaker 11 (02:33:21):
And it's just like no number has been has been placed.
We're just supposed to believe Fightful for some goddamn reason,
and I don't believe that.

Speaker 1 (02:33:31):
Look, I believe what I believe that Fightful is reporting
the things that being told. I I think that I
think that they have a direct pipeline into a w
and I think that that Tony feeds them the things
that Tony wants people to get.

Speaker 6 (02:33:44):
There you have it that I guess, that's what I
mean to say.

Speaker 1 (02:33:47):
But but that's what that's what the dirt sheets have
been doing since time immemorial, you know, like a guys,
whether it's whether it's wrestlers or whether it's companies. I mean,
Bischoff used to, I guess, for for a period of
time was feeding Meltzer stuff. But that was because he
wanted Meltzer to actually report the truth. Vince did that
didn't work out. Yeah, Vin Vince had meltz her stuff
for a long time as well. It was a way

(02:34:07):
to play to the media, which you know all companies.
Do you think that you think a date line or
whatever it was that got the deadline got the news
about the Accolyte being canceled from a from an anonymous source.
Now that came directly from Disney because they wanted to
get the get get it out there. I think, Tony,
you think.

Speaker 10 (02:34:27):
Terry Taylor is still employed with WWE because he's a
good trainer. No, it's because he feeds them whenever they
want them to what they've melted to report.

Speaker 1 (02:34:36):
I guess. I guess.

Speaker 6 (02:34:37):
My point is is that I don't believe Strickland is
getting paid mone money.

Speaker 1 (02:34:46):
I know, I don't think the person I think is
the only person I think is getting paid Mona money
is Monette and John Moxley. Chris Jericho does Does Jericho
have favored nations? Because it's reported that John Moxley is
a favorite nation clause.

Speaker 6 (02:35:00):
That means Chris Jericho would have it too, wouldn't it.

Speaker 1 (02:35:03):
Yeah, Back in the day, like when Jericho first signed,
it was pretty public that he had Favored Nations, so well,
then they should be very happy about the arrival of
Mercedes money. Kevin Nash used to love whenever Eric would
make another big signing because it meant him and Scott
Hall made exactly what that guy made. He signed Brett
for big money. You know, they got a bump. It's

(02:35:24):
that's what. So, for those of you that don't know,
a favored Nation clause is when when so you're being
paid X amount of dollars, if somebody in the company
is hired at a higher rate than you, your contract
automatically adjusts itself to that rate, so it ensures that
you are always the highest paid talent in the company

(02:35:46):
or one of the highest paid talents.

Speaker 6 (02:35:48):
In that yeah, or matching.

Speaker 1 (02:35:50):
Yeah. So, now a guy like Moxley who was the
A was the aw World's Champion and was working without
a contract and told Tony Kahan reportedly that he could
show up on SummerSlam with the belt in a moment's
notice if you wanted to, could have very easily gotten
a Favored Nations contract from him.

Speaker 6 (02:36:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (02:36:09):
I just don't see Strickland get like, I'm the numbers
popping in my head and I say two million.

Speaker 1 (02:36:16):
Oh that's interesting, Juster Johns said, it's a Shatner or
Nimoy taught me about favored nations. Did they have that
in Star Trek?

Speaker 2 (02:36:22):
They did.

Speaker 7 (02:36:22):
They had if one got something, the other got it,
and if one got to raised, the other got it.

Speaker 6 (02:36:29):
And they didn't like each other, didn't they They.

Speaker 1 (02:36:31):
Had the well they they nobody liked Shatner.

Speaker 6 (02:36:34):
Well, Nie Boy and.

Speaker 7 (02:36:35):
Shatner got along, niem Mooy and Chattner and uh and
the far As Kelly all got along. It's everybody else
who hated Shatner. But yeah yah the uh yeah, yeah
they they they had to make the same amount of
money and they had to get the same opportunities Seinfeld
cast So like if if one got like.

Speaker 1 (02:36:55):
A commercial deal, the other would get a commercial deal.

Speaker 7 (02:36:58):
Just within within within Star Trek movies. So like, uh,
name Way got the director movie, so Shatner got to
direct the movie. If Shatner got a raise, name Way
got a raise.

Speaker 17 (02:37:06):
Yea.

Speaker 1 (02:37:06):
Friends, Like I heard this crazy thing about the Rocks
action the Rock and Vin Diesel where like Unfast and
Furious they had to have like the same amount of
punches thrown in every fight scene, like the or something
like that.

Speaker 7 (02:37:26):
Hobbs the Rock and Jason Stathen had to have the
exact same amount of punches, punches and kicks thrown the
same amount of fight fight time, uh you know, fight
scene time, and no one could be beat up more
than the other.

Speaker 1 (02:37:45):
I cannot imagine. I cannot, like, you're playing a fictional character.
I cannot imagine the level of ego that goes into
that kind of negotiation. Apparently Vin Diesel does it too.
Vin Diesel is not allowed to like job at all,
or you know, he doesn't bump or what. I don't know.

Speaker 6 (02:38:03):
That goes back to John Williamson.

Speaker 11 (02:38:05):
John Williamson in his contract always had the stipulate that
he uh never got never got killed in the movie,
and he always went home with the woman.

Speaker 1 (02:38:16):
Do you remember he was rob Echos on the Indies.
I don't remember what his TNA name was. Was Robbie
D or something like that, Robbie Robbie, Robbie E. His
his thing on the indies was his thing on the
Indies was always we got you got three bumps, kid,
I'll bump for you three times.

Speaker 7 (02:38:35):
Make him count I'm saving my body.

Speaker 1 (02:38:38):
Well, and you know what, it was smart when he
did it because he was trying to save his body,
but because he knew he was going to make it
somewhere and he didn't want to cripple himself on the indies.
I'm not saying that as like that was bad. That
was smart. However, you look at a Hollywood movie when
mostly it's stunt guys doing this stuff. Come on, Rock.

Speaker 10 (02:38:56):
Yeah, you know what, though, Say what you want about
the guys getting it right, say what you want about
mocks getting the Favorite Nations or Monette getting creative control.

Speaker 1 (02:39:04):
Somebody has to pay for it because and and that's
really what the fault is, because I guarantee nobody has
a favorite Nations clause in w W. Oh god no,
and nobody. And I don't think. I don't think anybody
has creative control in w W either. Maybe maybe, I
mean the Rock does because he's on the board, but different. Yeah,
but yeah, besides it, maybe whatever, whenever we say anything

(02:39:27):
about anybody in the world, the Rock is always exempt. Yeah.
Maybe punk has a little bit, but it wouldn't be
I don't think I was that dumb. There's no way
Triple was that dumb. I don't think it'd be controlled.

Speaker 10 (02:39:39):
I think it would be more of like he wants
to he wants to be part of the creative process
for his booking.

Speaker 1 (02:39:44):
Yeah, he wants to. He wants to have input, which
I could. I could see that with him, And maybe
I don't think I think everybody has him. I think
I think everybody could pitch ideas. That's what I've always heard.
Go to the writers, you could pitch your ideas. I
just use them with With Punk, I just think it
could have been a thing where he's like, I don't know.
Last time I was here, I got track interpt fine
put it in there. I okay, because everyone does it.
Did you hear did you hear Tony Kahan say that

(02:40:06):
there are twenty seven people involved in the creative process
in aew And then you look at there's a quote
from twenty twenty one where he was like, we're not
like WWE, we don't have twenty seven writers. It's always
exactly the thing that he says that he's actually doing,
isn't it. He's a robot. It's ai. He's not a
real person. It's like when he says like WWE uses

(02:40:29):
bots and then you find out that he's using bots.
It is constantly, Kevin, you say it all the time.
It's the person that's doing the accusing is typically the
person who's doing that thing projection.

Speaker 10 (02:40:41):
There's twenty seven people because he it's him Will Washington,
and then the multi him Will Washington, RJ City, and
then the twenty four wrestlers that he gave creative control
call clauses too in the contract.

Speaker 1 (02:40:57):
Well, I know, you know, Danielson is heavily involved. They
like they pretend that Jennifer Pepperman is on the creative team,
even though he only even though she basically just writes
Mercedes's promos for her.

Speaker 10 (02:41:08):
Yeah, Moxley, Jericho, Young Bucks, Kenny, all these people, these
are the people he's talking about.

Speaker 1 (02:41:15):
He's not talking about a writer's room. He's talking about
all the people that he says, do whatever you want
and tell us what you're gonna do. That's who he's
talking about on the creative team. Chris Jericho. If Chris
Jericho puts a question mark at the end of the
thing he wants to do to Tony Kahn, then it's
a good day. I think. Yeah, because Jericho, I think
he's been booking his own stuff and it shows because

(02:41:36):
there's no way. Tony com was like, what if you
and MJF did a musical number? Tony Kahn like, Brian
Pillman Junior book his own stuff?

Speaker 10 (02:41:43):
Okay, really yes, Brian felt the first interview Brian Pillman
Junior did after he was an XT, he said, well,
who the whole varsity thing that we did?

Speaker 1 (02:41:53):
That was my idea. I came up with that.

Speaker 6 (02:41:55):
Tony.

Speaker 10 (02:41:56):
He didn't know who the third person would be, so
I just picked somebody and Tony said it was fine.

Speaker 2 (02:42:00):
Like that.

Speaker 1 (02:42:01):
That's how they came up with the Jim Jim Cooinnette
just put out a video going through this Jennifer Pepperman
interview that she did with Aubrey Edwards and Washington. It's brutal.
She makes the right she makes the w w W
writers look so awful, and is it. I've met w

(02:42:21):
W writers in the past, I know what they're like.

Speaker 6 (02:42:23):
This woman's not a.

Speaker 1 (02:42:24):
Great example of them, but man, I was amazed at
just how bad she made them all look. So Kevin
Owens has a contract coming up to you know what.
Before we get to that, I got some super chats
I gotta get through because they've been building up once again.

Speaker 6 (02:42:41):
Awesome let's see. Uh that like button folks.

Speaker 1 (02:42:45):
Elsie Killers seventeen for five dollars. Soriyah needs to record
another video eating another restless hot talk. Oh oh oh lord.
Actually that that was at a That was at a
food stand at a little league baseball game. Yes, somebody,
I believe somebody was ordering a hot dog and she
just swoops in and she just takes it. This is

(02:43:10):
my now, yeah, seagull Like she's about as white as
a seagull.

Speaker 7 (02:43:17):
So j.

Speaker 1 (02:43:20):
John j Ed nine nine nine for one fine Booker
T and Heal Michael Cole from twenty eleven is funny commentary.
I agree that was good stuff. Elsie Later Lady Killers
seventeen for two dollars. Feel like any wrestler go to
AEW becomes soft. I mean a WFT what we were

(02:43:44):
saying before they were all they were clearly always soft,
but they just are allowed to express how soft they
are now. BT twenty three for five dollars after packs
shot believe will ricochet it happened at Wressel Dream. Just
be a heel ricochet. Your son is not missmissing much

(02:44:04):
on aw he's talking to you dis Yeah, I know.
Colin Taylor for ten dollars. Rick O'Shea is a petulant child.

Speaker 6 (02:44:14):
Yesday we learned, didn't we?

Speaker 1 (02:44:16):
We did some, I mean some of us learned a
couple of days ago, but today you and keV learned. Yeah,
Shaggy filth seventy three or two dollars. That's why Apollo
is my spirit animal. I'm assuming this is the ricochet
rant that I'm gonna have to heavily edit. Uh, thank
you for making Thank you for thanking my best friend
for making my life just a little bit harder.

Speaker 6 (02:44:37):
Say anything towards though.

Speaker 1 (02:44:39):
Oh, it's fine, I'm just being I'm just making a joke.
MJG for one nine nine says watch Aw will be
unprofitable again by twenty twenty six. It's already unprofitable.

Speaker 6 (02:44:49):
Yeah, they made more money in the night than than
a w has ever made.

Speaker 1 (02:44:55):
Yeah. If you if you're looking at you know, money
out versus money in. Yes, if you making if you
are doing a lemonade stand and you make a dollar
more than you paid for your lemons and your and
your sugar, then you are making more profit than AW.
Sping go Away BT twenty three for two dollars. I
wonder how much cons spend on Jags and Fulham an

(02:45:17):
astronomical amount. What do you think is what do you
think what do you think is the bigger payroll aa
W or the Jacksonville jag was. Oh, that's a good question.

Speaker 6 (02:45:28):
Ask that again. I'm sorry I missed it.

Speaker 1 (02:45:30):
What do you think has the bigger payroll budget ae
W or the Jacksonville Jaguar was It's got to be
because they happen more than an NFL team. You think, well,
you only have but.

Speaker 7 (02:45:41):
So many players. If you're coaching, you're coaching, and again
you don't have but so many coaches. You get your recruiters,
so so many weeks as well. Yeah, so what you're
thinking maybe.

Speaker 1 (02:45:55):
If you're including R o H in there, Yes, I'm
including I'm including R o H.

Speaker 7 (02:45:59):
Then has to be It's got It's got to be
AW because I would say an NFL team you probably
have a payroll of like one hundred and fifty people tops.
And I'm talking like your your administrative team, you're marketing people,
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. AW has like

(02:46:20):
one hundred and thirty wrestlers.

Speaker 1 (02:46:23):
So the salary cap in the NFL, according to the
chat is two hundred and forty five million. So then
the question is, does makes two hundred and forty five
million dollars? No, the salary cap for the entire team
is two forty five million. Yeah, okay, Yeah, I wonder
if AW salary budget is more than two hundred and

(02:46:43):
fifty one million dollars.

Speaker 10 (02:46:44):
If you just talk about the salary budget, I'd probably
say it's Jaguars.

Speaker 18 (02:46:48):
Do you think.

Speaker 1 (02:46:51):
I mean, do you think Jericho, Jericho, Mercedes, Moxley, MJF,
and Worved Do you think they're combined salaries equal one
hundred million dollars? I don't think any year, No, probably not.

Speaker 2 (02:47:06):
No.

Speaker 1 (02:47:08):
Yeah, if you're just talking about salary, I'd say it
would be probably about operating AW. AW cannot be spending
more than an NFL football team. The Jaguars don't have to,
No Jaguars. The Jaguars don't have to rent out Wimbley
Stadium once a year.

Speaker 15 (02:47:24):
You know.

Speaker 1 (02:47:25):
So that's the thing. The Jaguars own their state. Yeah,
they don't have to rent out stadiums ever, So you
know it's but but you know, an NFL team puts
out a lot of money to promote itself, so I
was also thinking.

Speaker 7 (02:47:40):
The jag Jags also pulling a crap tunnel revenue, So
I'm sorry. I was thinking more along the lines of
profit versus loss.

Speaker 1 (02:47:48):
Sorry, so oh, I mean the Jaguars definitely make AW
loses more money than the Jaguars.

Speaker 7 (02:47:54):
I'm sure well AW loses more money than the Jaguars.
Bloody will make probably.

Speaker 11 (02:48:01):
When you don't pay the bills for the stadium and
and don't have carts to cart out your quarterbacks, you
can save a bucker two.

Speaker 1 (02:48:10):
So in the last few months, the Jaguars have given
large contracts to several players, including quarterback Trevor Lawrence two
hundred and seventy five million over five years. Yeah, guys,
it's the Jaguars. The Jaguars is bigger, pass rusher Josh
Heinz Allen one hundred and forty one point twenty five
million of a five years, and cornerback Tyson Campbell seventy

(02:48:32):
six point five million of a four years. As if
June twenty twenty four, Lawrence's contract averages out to just
over forty million dollars per year when accounting for the Okay,
this is a ridiculous thing to even talk about. It
just shows that I know nothing about American football. And yeah,
it's very clearly the Jaguars. So I was just thinking
out loud, Shady Davy d Laflair, which Wow, great name name,

(02:49:00):
Shady Davy d Laflair. I like that. For two dollars
is hit that like button and subscribe and make that
bell ring man. I'm with you, brother, A great name,
great name, mister grime for one ninety nine, Tony gonna
make three fifty off swerve. Oh, I'm sorry, Tony gonna

(02:49:22):
make tree fitty off swarf. Yeah, I didn't read it correctly.
I got about tree fitting then I saw. Then I
saw that my world champion was was a seven foot
tall crustacean from the Paleolithic era, and I said, damn it,
like this monster, you get off my property. We worked
for our money in this ass.

Speaker 6 (02:49:46):
You can tell Marble has one black friend.

Speaker 1 (02:49:51):
Yes, it's I have one black friend. And he sounds
like human. He sounds like the whitest guy. Awful by
the way, Awful just said my friend. You're my second
black friend. No, he's my friend. We're not we're not
here having fun. One one nine nine Samantha Irvin is uh,

(02:50:18):
I'm just gonna leave it on the screen.

Speaker 6 (02:50:20):
Say it, but yeah, I love it drier than the
Sahara right now?

Speaker 1 (02:50:26):
Yeah, MJG for four ninety nine. I refer to post
TV deal when he blows all the money, like the
AEW talent expense is fifty to sixty million, top twenty
equals thirty five million alone. I can see that. Colin
Taylor for another ten dollars Thurston Tony Kahan. Why does
your pickle always tastes so good? You guys are just

(02:50:49):
doesn't work not. I'm glad you guys are giving me
money because you're trying actively to get me demonetized. I
say it by saying pickle, you made it sound worse
than what it was, right, Maybe I did?

Speaker 6 (02:51:03):
Maybe I did?

Speaker 1 (02:51:04):
And spontaneous compulsion for five pounds Sterling. Jaguars make make
money because the NFL makes money. Nothing to do with
the cons management. They were bottom rated by players for
their facilities, so there you go. Wellmer Fulham, Fulham isn't
exactly lighting the uh the crowd on fire.

Speaker 6 (02:51:23):
So they've got eight and w on their their jerseys.

Speaker 1 (02:51:27):
Now we're being shamed by Brits. They know more about
the NFL than we do.

Speaker 2 (02:51:33):
I know.

Speaker 1 (02:51:34):
Look, I pride myself on not knowing anything about the NFL.
I don't even watch the Super Bowl the Okay, so
do we want to tell Kevin Owins has a contract
coming up?

Speaker 7 (02:51:43):
This right?

Speaker 1 (02:51:43):
Like, that's the thing that's happening. I just wanted to
touch it really quick because you know, people are people
are doing that, That's what she said. People are doing.

Speaker 10 (02:51:55):
People are doing the normal thing where they're like, oh,
he's going to AW. Clearly he's going to a w
and I just wanted to feel the temperature in the room.
Does anybody think Kevin Owens is going to AW?

Speaker 8 (02:52:04):
No?

Speaker 1 (02:52:07):
I mean his friends are there. He like, he likes
the bucks, right, Kevin Owens. You know, Kevin Owens has
a very comfortable downside guarantee.

Speaker 10 (02:52:14):
Yes, he's fighting. He has as a world title match
coming up.

Speaker 1 (02:52:20):
He rustled.

Speaker 10 (02:52:20):
He just wrestled in a main event against Stone Cold
Steve Austin at WrestleMania a couple of years ago. He
was in the main event at WrestleMania last year, and
he's in He's consistently in the top of the story
lines and Triple H loves Kevin Owens.

Speaker 1 (02:52:34):
And guess what, it's one of his guys. Yeah, so
he revealed it his contract but expired in early twenty
twenty five. At the time, he said he had nine
months remaining on his current deal. We haven't heard him
listed among the towns who have re signed this year,
so it stands the reason he now has six months
left in the contract he signed in twenty twenty one.
Owens didn't say anything that contradicted the math when he
told Rick Uccino now it's Sports Illustrated dot com, uh

(02:52:57):
that the only change in his contracts that since then
is that there's now less time on his deal. So
we don't know how much money he's making, but you
know he makes a good amount.

Speaker 10 (02:53:06):
I mean by the way, some people are actually implying
that that means that WW took time off of his contract.
That he's saying there's less time, meaning that it doesn't
go until twenty two.

Speaker 1 (02:53:16):
No, I think it means that we talked about this
before and now we're talking about it now. It does,
but people are actually trying to spend that narrative too well.

Speaker 11 (02:53:23):
People are guys, wrestlers are egotists, and I just had
a second thought about this Okay, we're Kevin Owens.

Speaker 6 (02:53:32):
You see what's going on in aw knowing that you
obviously will be the biggest name that they'll get. No, nope, no, okay.

Speaker 1 (02:53:41):
He saw how it worked for Edge, he saw how
it worked for Jericho.

Speaker 6 (02:53:44):
He saw it.

Speaker 1 (02:53:45):
And look, at the end of the day, do you
think here's the thing we all know Owens and Jericho
were pretty close. Do you think Chris Jericho calls Kevin
Owens and he's like, hey, come on, come over here,
it's candy Land or whatever. Or do you think Jericho
gives him actual sound advice, like stay stay where you're at.
You one of the biggest stars in the cump. And
you know he's in a world title feud right now,
which I hate. I hate that feud. I hate the way.

Speaker 6 (02:54:04):
How old is that big?

Speaker 1 (02:54:07):
I think he's probably got to be in his forties
by now.

Speaker 7 (02:54:09):
Right, he's gonna be knocking on forty if he's.

Speaker 1 (02:54:12):
Not there yet, he is forty. Kevin Owens is forty
years old.

Speaker 6 (02:54:19):
Man.

Speaker 11 (02:54:19):
It's a tough one. Kevin Owens is one of those
types like it's just like he could be there, he
could be here. It could work out either way. I
especially as mentioned that Edge all these canaries in the
coal mine. He may have, you know, he may have
an agent that's just like, we can work this, we
can work this brother.

Speaker 7 (02:54:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:54:39):
But whether he's like, oh well, maybe I'll go have
some good matches and just pleee this guy for absurd
amounts of money. But I don't know. I don't see
it happening.

Speaker 2 (02:54:52):
Man.

Speaker 6 (02:54:52):
He does have a controversial history, well.

Speaker 7 (02:54:56):
Under Vince maybe, but under Hunter now to run the
contract after that, when he's probably too old for them
to really want to do something with him, then that's
when you go, I'm gonna go take this little idiot's
money and cash out.

Speaker 1 (02:55:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (02:55:13):
The only way I could see it being possible is
if it's I if Sammy wants to do it, if
Sammy gets fed up and wants to go off. I
could see Sammy wanting to be more political in public
and that kind of stuff, and that being a reason
to leave WWE because aw would allow him to do that.
And if he did it, I could see Kevin going

(02:55:34):
just to finish the same way Edge wanted to finish
up his career with Christian or whatever.

Speaker 1 (02:55:38):
I could see him wanting to go finish his career
with Sammy. If that doesn't happen, though, there's no way
because he has to.

Speaker 11 (02:55:46):
If you would have told me that Edge was going
to end up in aw gentleman, would you have thought
that he would?

Speaker 6 (02:55:51):
He would exactly, That's what I'm saying, Like.

Speaker 1 (02:55:55):
I'm saying now never in a million years, I would
have never thought. But but the difference is that Ca
isn't fifty two and had to retire once already.

Speaker 10 (02:56:03):
You know, WW was only going to do so much
with Edge because they're not going to risk him getting
seriously hurt in the ring, whereas Kevin Owens isn't at
that place, so he can still be a regular wrestler. Edge,
if you believe him, wanted to be a regular wrestler,
and he wanted to wrestle with Christian and there's only
one place that was going to allow him to do that.

(02:56:25):
That's why that's why I put the Sami stip in
there with Kevin Owens.

Speaker 6 (02:56:28):
I could see it.

Speaker 1 (02:56:29):
But you know, at the end of the day, the
guy has a family, he's got kids, he's got to
put the college, which you know, yeah, so maybe I
don't know.

Speaker 7 (02:56:39):
They don't worked the super schedule. They used to work anymore.

Speaker 1 (02:56:42):
Though, right, I think Triple H would match Tony's off
of for Kevin Owens, because yeah, guy, Guy's a proven commodity.

Speaker 10 (02:56:53):
Speaking of not working the same schedule, do you see
the thing to see Hi Punk said where now you
can actually request days off through the ww app when
he worked there, you can actually like go in and
say I can't work this day.

Speaker 1 (02:57:04):
I have a family thing, and you'll just get it off.
There's no problem. That's crazy compared to what they used to,
you know, the old man. That's how you know they've
gotten like full on uh you know, t k O
and they no longer you know, because even when they
wear corporate Vince was still as much as he didn't
want to be a pro wrestling booker, he still was
a pro wrestling booker and promoter. He still had He

(02:57:25):
still had that old school mentality of you work, you
work until you know your head falls off. Can I
just say, by the way, I do not like the
way this Cody Rhoades Kevin Owens thing started out.

Speaker 6 (02:57:37):
Do you like how it's going?

Speaker 1 (02:57:40):
I mean, I don't know, I guess I guess it's fine.
But like this whole thing with him like, oh, yeah,
you know, I can't uh you know, I don't deserve
a title shot. Eh yeah, I just want to sit
over here and eat some boutine and uh, you know, I.

Speaker 7 (02:57:52):
Think it's he's stroked out Brett Hart's.

Speaker 1 (02:57:57):
I think it's like he has a stereotypical Canadian boy.
I don't think that. I don't think this.

Speaker 10 (02:58:04):
I think the storyline is a catalyst for other things.
I think we're gonna get at the end of it.
I think we're gonna get it.

Speaker 1 (02:58:09):
But then, but then the way they got him to
take the title shot, when they're like, oh, well, we'll
just give it to Roman Rains, I don't think so
a like it was. It was a duck season. It
was rabbit Yeah, duck season, rabbit season, duck season. FIA.

Speaker 7 (02:58:25):
They've moved on from that and explained it away a
little bit. Yeah, they had Owens explain that it's not
that he didn't want a title shot. He didn't want
the title shot that way, and then we're already teasing
him starting to behave a little more heelish.

Speaker 1 (02:58:43):
Yeah, he did.

Speaker 10 (02:58:44):
He did kind of hint to the fact that he
felt it was pandering, that he was being pandered to
by being given a title shot that I like, but
I don't.

Speaker 1 (02:58:52):
Like the duck season. Rabbit season, duck season. Ya, that
was a silly like, oh, we'll just give it to
Roman Rains. Oh, I don't think so a out shot.

Speaker 7 (02:59:01):
A well, well, that's where ultimately, when he turns on Cody,
that will come, that will come full circle because he's
gonna say, Cody insulted is intelligence and he acts kind
of already alluded to that anyway.

Speaker 1 (02:59:16):
By the way, by the way, talking like Nick did, so,
so you think that. See what I think it's gonna be.

Speaker 10 (02:59:24):
Is I think this is gonna be that it's going
to lead lead to Randy turning, that this is gonna
be the catalyst for Randy's turn.

Speaker 1 (02:59:30):
Cody and Randy is the match. Yeah, And I also
think that.

Speaker 10 (02:59:34):
And I also think they're leading to the idea that
Kevin Owens and Sammy's aing need each other. And I
think so, I think that's all gonna come together here
in the next few months. Although Sammy's out getting stem
cell therapy, so who knows what he's doing what nagging injuries,
just nagging for landing on his.

Speaker 7 (02:59:54):
Neck every match.

Speaker 6 (02:59:55):
Yeah, hurt feelings.

Speaker 1 (02:59:58):
Stem cells can heal you hurt feelings.

Speaker 10 (03:00:01):
By the way, the I added a Sad Sad Sammy
sticker to Discord and it is now the most used sticker.

Speaker 1 (03:00:07):
On Discord Man more so even than this, the smiling
Kevin Apollo. Oh it's it's it's taken the world by
storm Mark. Okay, oh boy, all right, So we are
going to take a little trip here to visit our
good friend Dave Schultz over on the Morton Downey Junior Show.
How about that we do have one last super chat

(03:00:29):
first real quick before we because yes, let's see Perry
King for ten dollars. Talk of WWE opening shop in Vegas.
I think it will be training or will they run
tourist trap type shows there. I can't see the moving
out of Orlando. Man, they got a good thing going
down there.

Speaker 7 (03:00:49):
The original plan was to have performance centers all over
the country, all over.

Speaker 1 (03:00:54):
The world, right, because this was to be performance centers
in like the in Europe and stuff too.

Speaker 7 (03:00:58):
Originally we should have had a performance center in Connecticut. Yeah, yeah, Mexico.
I can't remember. The other two were that that that
that they specifically said they were going to what they
wanted West coast, east coast, south and midwest.

Speaker 1 (03:01:15):
So this is this is this is well and you
know what, I've always said they should do that and
they should have had like because back then I was like, Okay, well,
maybe you have Kevin Nash head up one, you have
Dusty head up one, you have Sean head up one,
and you you you move the trainees around from one
guy to together because you're gonna let you basically create
the territories again mm hm. And you you know you

(03:01:37):
have William Regal run run the one in the UK,
you have you know, like and you move the guys
around because they're gonna take something different from each guy
that they're learning from. If they are going to open
up a second one in Vegas, I mean maybe not
because he's on the road, but you never know, that
could be that could be. Hey, this is what CM punk. Yeah,

(03:01:57):
you know, it runs development. The initial report was that
they were moving the PC. They are not moving the
performance center. This is an expansion that I believe that
I did not believe they were going to move it. Yeah,
they're very entrenched here. It makes sense. Oh where in

(03:02:19):
the United States. Yeah, they're very entrenched in Florida.

Speaker 6 (03:02:24):
Right, Yeah, you don't want to move all those young talents.

Speaker 7 (03:02:29):
I wouldn't be shocked, especially now at CW. I would
to be shocked if they took up a residency and
got a regular show running out of there. You especially
once the kids are going they need a place to
work on a on a consistent basis. There's a ton
of opportunity there for them where you know, where they
can do a lot of non televised events and make

(03:02:52):
some big money.

Speaker 6 (03:02:54):
It'll be like Glow and it won't cost them.

Speaker 1 (03:02:57):
It won't cost them much because UFC are he has
a stronghold in Vegas, so they just got to build
onto that, you know. Uh, Colin Taylor for ten dollars
disc Can you expand on Sammy Zain political talk?

Speaker 16 (03:03:09):
No?

Speaker 6 (03:03:10):
No, I love it.

Speaker 1 (03:03:13):
I think what you meant is that Sammy Zain clearly
is a very political person who has very strong opinions
a certain way, and WWE probably is like, hey, don't
you dare go out there and stop you left. I
don't mean has anything to do with what side you're on.
I know I think w I think WWE has the
same kind of mentality that I have on these kinds

(03:03:35):
of things where it's like, hey, you're a representative of
the company, do not talk about this stuff one way
or the other. Whether your right wing or left wing leaning.
There's no place for this in using your platform to
push that.

Speaker 7 (03:03:47):
It's Michael Jordan mentality when they would when they would
always ask him to stump or endorse the Democrat Republicans
buy shoes too.

Speaker 1 (03:03:57):
Yeah, it was. It was.

Speaker 10 (03:03:58):
It was one of the things that we talked about
when we were first talking about Sad Sammy where he
would go in interviews and he'd be like, well, I
can't really talk about that.

Speaker 1 (03:04:04):
I guess you know that kind of thing. Yeah, you know,
I saw a clip today we're talking we were talking
about he's mocking a Marxist. We would we were talking
about Sid earlier. I saw this clip that just drove

(03:04:27):
me insane. Where it was. It was the first power
bomb Sid threw on a show after the leg breaking incident,
and he threw it to Sammy's ay, and Sammy it
was a It was a glorious power bomb. The powerbomb
that you could have closed out Monday Night Raw with
in nineteen ninety seven and he would have laid the
undertaker out with it, and Sammy Zay popped back up

(03:04:48):
to his feet and dove through the ropes. To be fair,
he wasn't even Sammy'szay. He wasn't even Elgenario. He wasn't
even elg Yeah, he was even Elgenaria. This was this
was right out of school, you know.

Speaker 6 (03:04:58):
This was like, Yeah, I made him look like a
million bucks out there?

Speaker 1 (03:05:03):
All right? All right, so are we ready to to
dive into the mountain? Downey Junior? Show? We're running along
this week, But I'm okay with it because we're having fun.
That's what we do here, guys. We have fun, all right,
show we're crazy. We have fun here, guys. We have fun.
To get some cake for Lisa's birthday next week. Isn't

(03:05:26):
Lisa's birthday next week? I didn't even say I was
being in office person. Never mind, Oh I thought you
meant Lisa be in the chat. No, no, no, it's
a joke. Birthday to it? Okay, No, I understand, just
use you just use the name of one of our
regulars in the chat, so I assume that something. I'm caught,
all right, and we're back. Wonderful Patterson's still there. Dennis

(03:05:54):
Carluzzo is still there mask the executioner or something.

Speaker 6 (03:05:59):
I love old black men who wear belts and suspenders
with a shirt. My uncle, that guy Marv's uncle.

Speaker 1 (03:06:22):
Right now one looks like the foreman of a jury
that is in the third day of deliberations. Yea. By
the way, I have to I have a I have
a big I have a TV recommendation for all of
you guys. It's a show called Jury Duty. I don't
know I mentioned it's so good. It's really good. So

(03:06:46):
it's a reality show about people on jury duty, but
it's fake. Everyone's an actor except for one.

Speaker 6 (03:06:51):
I saw that.

Speaker 1 (03:06:53):
Like the Joe It's like the Joe Schmoe Show, which
I used to watch because it was right after Monday
night Raw, so we'd be at my friend friend's house.
We watched Raw, and then we watched Joe Schmo too,
and I love that. But it's it's they It's not
like Joe Schmo where like the entire time the cast
is like behind the scenes talking about how it's all fake.
They play it like it's real for the entire thing,

(03:07:14):
but you know, you know what's going on, but they
don't mention it on camera. And then the last episode
is they show you how the sausage was made. Sorry
brief commercial message, commercial message. I really enjoyed it. It
was very funny.

Speaker 6 (03:07:26):
They go to a second season.

Speaker 1 (03:07:29):
I don't know, think I don't, but no, they But
one of the best things is James Monsden is in
it playing himself. Right, Okay, you saw that one, Yeah,
but I watched the whole I finished the whole thing.

Speaker 6 (03:07:43):
Yeah, so it's awesome.

Speaker 19 (03:07:45):
Now let me do it a loud mouth number two,
pretty boy, Larry Sharp.

Speaker 1 (03:07:49):
He's the owner of a monster Larry Shop.

Speaker 19 (03:07:53):
Some of the best, some of the best wrestlers the trade.

Speaker 1 (03:07:56):
Let me come back to the Monster Factory, Kevi, did
you ever work at the Monster Factory? I did not,
but I always felt the name was very insensitive to
the monster community. Okay, you're the Monster Factory and no
monsters are working here. Wow, all right, I see how
it is.

Speaker 6 (03:08:14):
Guys, Barbara just dropped all of his his barbershop equipment.
Was like, fucking.

Speaker 1 (03:08:20):
You never worked for didn't What did they run out
of there?

Speaker 13 (03:08:23):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (03:08:23):
O t W W W No, okay, that's the gym
For just a second.

Speaker 17 (03:08:29):
You claim that the king pins of wrestling, like Vince McMahon,
UH and TV Tycoon Ted Turner.

Speaker 1 (03:08:36):
All right, black ball, Wait, you can't. Nope, it's not
it's not on the screen. Oh sorry, I'm sitting here.
I'm sitting here watching. I don't I have no idea
what happened? Here? Hold on? Can you see now?

Speaker 6 (03:08:57):
Yes? Here you go?

Speaker 1 (03:08:59):
All right, here we go.

Speaker 6 (03:09:00):
Let' tell your calculator Marv.

Speaker 19 (03:09:06):
Two, pretty boy, Larry Sharp, he's the owner of a monster.
You can see him here now, yes, yes, some of
the best wrestlers that train. Let me come back to
Jim for just a second. You claim that the king.

Speaker 17 (03:09:17):
Pins of wrestling, like Vince McMahon UH and TV Tycoon
Ted Turner.

Speaker 1 (03:09:22):
There's only one kingpinn in wrestling. It was King Kong Bundy.

Speaker 17 (03:09:26):
I all agree on that, right, Yes, effectively, black ball
wrestlers who don't play by their rules?

Speaker 19 (03:09:36):
Did they throw you out of the ring?

Speaker 6 (03:09:38):
Did they throw you out of the ring?

Speaker 13 (03:09:41):
In essence, they did, they kept us out of the ring.

Speaker 6 (03:09:44):
And what they did more.

Speaker 13 (03:09:45):
In nineteen seventy four, UH and E Bolt and I
were together.

Speaker 6 (03:09:48):
Doing this wrestling.

Speaker 13 (03:09:52):
Elevate the position of the performers. Number one, which is
the bottom line of everything that we're talking about out
Jim money, money and benefits.

Speaker 1 (03:10:02):
This is the longest uninterrupted uh string of consciousness, this
sky has been able to get out thus far in
the show, in the.

Speaker 13 (03:10:12):
Billion dollar a year pie that is not being distributed equitably.

Speaker 1 (03:10:16):
You will somebody give you something for nothing. Again, no
water work for it.

Speaker 2 (03:10:24):
You just.

Speaker 1 (03:10:29):
You dirty comic filth.

Speaker 19 (03:10:33):
By setting up a union we want them.

Speaker 1 (03:10:36):
It wouldn't be a bad idea that benefit of the
boys and stuff like that, But you're not gonna go
about it the way.

Speaker 6 (03:10:41):
You're talking about.

Speaker 7 (03:10:42):
There's money to be made out there.

Speaker 1 (03:10:43):
Maybe they can turn around, take.

Speaker 11 (03:10:44):
Ten dollars out of these boys payers wrestles and have
the promoter match that sit out at the bogging and
table with the promoter, and maybe what I do the better,
I'll come.

Speaker 15 (03:10:52):
Threw him out.

Speaker 1 (03:10:53):
I can say that right now Vince is watching someone
be like you're going off script, lou.

Speaker 19 (03:11:00):
Alchemy can The better idea is because we are putting
our bodies on the line.

Speaker 11 (03:11:05):
Whoa, whoa, you ain't put your body nowhere.

Speaker 1 (03:11:07):
Put you ain't put your body nowhere. I love how
he like what he pointed to. Like him and Schultz
like together as if they were a thing. I Schultz
was about to scream, don't you compare yourself to me?

Speaker 5 (03:11:21):
Boy, well man, you ain't never done nothing to know
about this guy's crying.

Speaker 1 (03:11:26):
Let me tell you.

Speaker 6 (03:11:27):
I went to the top in every league.

Speaker 13 (03:11:29):
A w A n W A w W.

Speaker 7 (03:11:31):
I've been there.

Speaker 17 (03:11:32):
I made the money and.

Speaker 6 (03:11:33):
I was kicked out. But you don't hear me out here.

Speaker 1 (03:11:35):
Crying about it.

Speaker 6 (03:11:36):
I didn't need no benefit, right I had money.

Speaker 1 (03:11:38):
I could thought what I wanted, but I was produced anywhere.
You look at him in Alberto together, just screaming the
heads off, and the guy's just taking it.

Speaker 6 (03:11:52):
What's you gonna do?

Speaker 1 (03:11:53):
I mean he he's in the middle of a maniac
sandwich right now, right.

Speaker 6 (03:12:00):
One.

Speaker 1 (03:12:03):
Did he actually hit him there?

Speaker 6 (03:12:06):
It was a work punch, is did?

Speaker 1 (03:12:08):
Did he actually smack him?

Speaker 2 (03:12:11):
I didn't.

Speaker 1 (03:12:11):
I couldn't tell it.

Speaker 13 (03:12:16):
You're the one.

Speaker 1 (03:12:19):
Boy threw he threw water on him or something.

Speaker 20 (03:12:25):
I ain't gonna hit you because you gonna sue me,
and I got that kind of money. I'm about it, hunter, now,
I wish you could get up.

Speaker 1 (03:12:38):
He was so close to hitting him there, so close
right like like that that he he stopped himself right there.
He thought about the lawyer Bill and he stopped himself.

Speaker 19 (03:12:54):
You hear me, Wait a second, I want to come
down here, pretty boy, her boy. Now, this is the
guy who's trained more wrestlers, all right, more champions in
your monster factory, is what he says, Hey, Doc, look
down here a second.

Speaker 6 (03:13:08):
I need your Hey Doc cut his head with an elsewhere?

Speaker 1 (03:13:13):
Was he just like was he just in the guy's
face and he wasn't paying attention to what was happening
over there? Oh yeah, he's still Look, he's still in him,
he's still at him.

Speaker 17 (03:13:30):
Indeed, is what he says about McMahon and these other guys,
the promoters screwing around with these guys.

Speaker 6 (03:13:36):
That's true. Let me tell you something.

Speaker 1 (03:13:38):
If there was shut up, I was your brother. Don't
call me brother. I'm not a brother, you're indeed.

Speaker 17 (03:13:44):
Indeed, is what he says about McMahon and these other guys,
the promoters screwing around with these guys.

Speaker 6 (03:13:51):
That's true. Let me tell you something.

Speaker 18 (03:13:53):
If there was a union in professional wrestling where a
guy had to get up and show some wrestling holds,
guys like him would never get in red. When in
the first lace guys like this guy right here wouldn't
get in wrestling in the first day, because I'm going
to tell you why right now.

Speaker 6 (03:14:06):
Schultz was in Atlanta.

Speaker 18 (03:14:08):
Nineteen seventy five, nineteen seventy six.

Speaker 6 (03:14:10):
I was in Charlotte.

Speaker 1 (03:14:11):
You were on top.

Speaker 6 (03:14:12):
I was training Tony Atlas.

Speaker 18 (03:14:14):
His first week in wrestling, he made nine hundred dollars.

Speaker 6 (03:14:19):
I made four.

Speaker 7 (03:14:20):
He got pushed because.

Speaker 5 (03:14:22):
He was black.

Speaker 1 (03:14:23):
Whoa, whoa, you were black and I was a better
wrestler than you. But Dad, He's like, okay, okay, this
is going a little up the rails. This is where
this is where we draw the line.

Speaker 6 (03:14:36):
Right that haircut was supposed to be a hood. Apparently
it looks.

Speaker 7 (03:14:41):
Like a jack O lantern.

Speaker 2 (03:14:44):
Ye.

Speaker 1 (03:14:46):
He looks like a somehow more more nasty Brian Knobs,
somehow more pay boy Buddy Roue.

Speaker 7 (03:14:59):
Game Joy Dian.

Speaker 1 (03:15:02):
I'm like, wait, which side of this argument is he on? Here?
I don't even know what That's the beautiful.

Speaker 11 (03:15:06):
Thing about this entire thing. It's just like you don't
know what they're going to say until like the last
five seconds.

Speaker 7 (03:15:12):
Of what it is.

Speaker 1 (03:15:14):
He's like a renegade. He just like came in there
for himself like he's on his own team. He's a
galactus in the secret War.

Speaker 7 (03:15:22):
They're all just trying to get their stuff in there, right.

Speaker 1 (03:15:27):
It's a it's a waterfall spot. They're all hitting the
big move he was talking about made that money.

Speaker 6 (03:15:40):
It was because their boy was their boy.

Speaker 1 (03:15:44):
Is he talking the truth?

Speaker 18 (03:15:46):
Come on, wait wait, wait, with a professional.

Speaker 19 (03:15:52):
Profession, you're trying to tell me that makes it because
he kisses.

Speaker 6 (03:16:02):
The white man.

Speaker 1 (03:16:05):
Oh boy, oh boy. Tony Alice made it because he
was He was enormous the way he looked. He looked
like a comic book character comes to life. People liked
a hum and haw about you know the bodybuilders in wrestling,

(03:16:29):
But man, you look at them and the story is
told already. I'm sorry, Like, yeah, Ricochet's got gotta is
in great shape, but he's so small. You know, Tony Atlas,
whether he's whether he's out there in trunks, whether he's
out there in a tracksuit, that's still a guy who
turns your head when he walks into a room.

Speaker 7 (03:16:48):
Today, even today in advanced stage, he's still ninety percent
of the time one of the biggest people on the show.

Speaker 6 (03:16:56):
You know, he's got a.

Speaker 18 (03:16:57):
Foot about the largest wrestling school in the world. They
made Shelters got his school, and he can tell you
I get one percent.

Speaker 1 (03:17:08):
Whoa whoa Schultz had a school, Charlton had a wrestling school.
We all did. They can check in, but they don't
check out. Uh good, All right, here we go.

Speaker 18 (03:17:28):
It's one black man out of one hundred tries have to.

Speaker 6 (03:17:31):
Be a professional wrestler.

Speaker 18 (03:17:33):
Maybe if they had a little bit more guts in
intestinal force.

Speaker 19 (03:17:39):
There's the reason that they don't try out because they
know they're not going to get a fair shake.

Speaker 7 (03:17:44):
Go get a fair shake in professional wrestling.

Speaker 18 (03:17:47):
Is they will in any other big business or in
any other sport.

Speaker 7 (03:17:51):
This guy's time, just like when.

Speaker 18 (03:17:55):
When Tony George set for the.

Speaker 1 (03:17:56):
Biggest so so so he's not gonna get a fast shake,
is what you're saying. That was a heel turn.

Speaker 6 (03:18:03):
That was.

Speaker 1 (03:18:06):
Still don't still don't know which side of the which
side he's on here in the world.

Speaker 18 (03:18:11):
Herschel Walker's more money cannot force that's crime.

Speaker 1 (03:18:15):
If he didn't like what he was getting, he shouldn't
have took it with or with that the other guy, right,
And why didn't Morton down? Why did why did the
new Day and not Morton Downey Jr. And Duck Thunderbolt Pattison. Yeah,
that's like good question.

Speaker 2 (03:18:32):
Time.

Speaker 7 (03:18:32):
Okay, just a little is a hinge jaw.

Speaker 1 (03:18:38):
Provocateur his documentary, you can learn about how he died.
About all these guys.

Speaker 3 (03:18:44):
Try question Spring Spring writing, they get yeah, them crying,
we're here, we're.

Speaker 1 (03:18:52):
Out of place.

Speaker 13 (03:18:54):
Yeah, you had a plate.

Speaker 1 (03:18:56):
Oh boy, I was walking back a couple places. Oh man,
He said, I was watching basketball the other night and
I didn't see a white man on the court when
Larry Bird wasn't playing at that time.

Speaker 7 (03:19:13):
Larry Bird, I think John Stockton should be brand new.

Speaker 1 (03:19:16):
Yeah, yeah, I don't know, doctor, I'm not with you.

Speaker 6 (03:19:20):
I was he was watching the Pistons, to be fair.

Speaker 1 (03:19:27):
Yeah, let me let me say what I'm saying.

Speaker 6 (03:19:32):
Way, don't forget it.

Speaker 1 (03:19:34):
I'll say this. There we're gone.

Speaker 7 (03:19:36):
It's just like Jesse Jackson.

Speaker 1 (03:19:41):
Oh gosh, did he just bring up Jesse Jackson and
got heal heat? Hell yeah he did.

Speaker 6 (03:19:46):
He got heal heat from me. Just just now too.

Speaker 1 (03:19:50):
Is this for president? Oh yeah, that was eight.

Speaker 6 (03:19:55):
That was eighty four after that.

Speaker 10 (03:19:58):
Okay, yeah, no, but he but you know what he
would he I do this thing where he pretended to
run for president. For years after that, every time there
was an election.

Speaker 1 (03:20:04):
He said he was gonna run.

Speaker 19 (03:20:05):
Right, We're not going to turn this into a racial
circus just because he wants.

Speaker 1 (03:20:11):
No, no, no, no, you're about to say, we're not.
We're not going to. This has been from the second
you brought Pattison on.

Speaker 7 (03:20:20):
Sharpe. Is a kind of ruining of the dynamic. Yeah,
the seconds for being bringing David Duke out.

Speaker 6 (03:20:29):
Okay, smart, right, what I want to I'm telling you
the facts.

Speaker 1 (03:20:36):
I'm telling you what happened down the whole line.

Speaker 11 (03:20:39):
And when you got individuals like this year wrestling, it's
a white man's.

Speaker 7 (03:20:44):
Big old Let me say one by Leon, say one.

Speaker 1 (03:20:47):
Let me say one day, go ahead.

Speaker 6 (03:20:48):
I don't know what you tell him about nineteen seventies.

Speaker 11 (03:20:51):
Why don't you tell him about when you come out
on an interview and you're talking about God was going
to the reading room with you every night, Why don't.

Speaker 1 (03:20:58):
You tell him about talking about that whole Yeah? Wait,
is the argument here? Is the argument here that God
didn't go to the ring with doctor d Dave Schultz?

Speaker 2 (03:21:05):
And and.

Speaker 1 (03:21:07):
Is he saying that he couldn't make money because he
was a Christian? Is that Christian is worst? I'm not following,
I'm following your watching. You don't want to work, you
don't want to work. Whoa whoa man, oh Man Schultz Schultz.

(03:21:35):
I like that Dave Schultz started this interview from like
from thirty three minutes and fifty three seconds ago at ten. Yeah,
it does not come down below that since Look, I've
loved all of these doctor d Dave Schultz promos, I've
loved the time we spent watching him. But I'm just
gonna point out really quick that one of these minutes

(03:21:56):
in the Hall of Fame and the other one is
picking cotton. That's all I got. Yeah, we have found
we found the truck. We found out that Dame Schultz
drives a cotton truck. So yeah, he's kicking the cotton,
driving the cotton from place to place. It was a
good punch line, let me alone.

Speaker 2 (03:22:16):
It was just.

Speaker 19 (03:22:21):
A second. No, no way, no way.

Speaker 1 (03:22:26):
Anyone's going to indype all the blacks, but they don't
want to walk down more and down. He covering his
butt here.

Speaker 6 (03:22:35):
Yeah, I love the eighties.

Speaker 1 (03:22:43):
Just a minute, you got the blacks, You got the
moment you got me. Let you got the blacks and
the good, honestly respectable Okay.

Speaker 6 (03:22:52):
Okay, this is this is why people on both sides.

Speaker 7 (03:23:00):
The old tiger grandpa who's trying not to be racist,
is accidentally be racist. So racist, dude.

Speaker 6 (03:23:08):
I love the good ones, open, transparent conversation. I love.

Speaker 10 (03:23:13):
Let's just go back to the I want to to
the I love the eighties comment. I want to see
alf and michaeleean black comment over this.

Speaker 7 (03:23:24):
Hey, Gordon.

Speaker 1 (03:23:29):
Mob stuff.

Speaker 18 (03:23:34):
Himself.

Speaker 7 (03:23:34):
And that's this guy right here.

Speaker 18 (03:23:36):
He's the only one getting indicted and he's bringing it
so I'm telling you he wasn't worth a job that
he had. And he said he worked for fifteen bucks
a night.

Speaker 7 (03:23:44):
He was overpaid.

Speaker 1 (03:23:45):
That's right.

Speaker 19 (03:23:49):
Well, we'll let our audience ask some questions and see
if we can pin any of these guys down.

Speaker 1 (03:23:54):
Swammer get out here, all right, And that's what we're
gonna leave. We'll finish it up next week. I think
we got less than ten minutes left. Oh God, the
audience participation. I can't imagine what the audience is. This
just keeps getting worse, worse and worse and worse, and
