Speaker 1 (00:00):
Tired of the same old sports media. Are you tired
of hot takes, arguments and questions that are just completely
off base?
Speaker 2 (00:10):
Luckily we have something for you touchdowns, attaches of the people,
for the people, by people who care about the culture,
and all the concise commentary.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
What's up, good people, touchdowns and tangents Here. I'm Pete
d Kimrio and he is Jim's Perry, who is also
sick of everyone shit this week.
Speaker 3 (00:43):
Inexplicably and unattainably sick of everyone shit.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
But yeah, it's been a long week, so we're gonna
trying to run through it. We got a loaded show
fresh off of bye week last week for Thanksgiving overall,
pretty pretty solid one for me. Spend a lot of
time on the road, but it's good to connect with
the family. Had a many little friends given, just really
(01:12):
went to a brewery with my homies. Shout out to
Barry and Jacob. But yeah, it's about it, Kenny. Thanksgiving.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
Thanksgiving was great, my two nephews, my sister, my mom
came over. Ironically, my younger sister, Chelsea her twenty eighth
birthdays tomorrow December fifth. So yeah, the holidays well, as
a weird time for me, but like one of the
(01:45):
happiest days of my life was my little sister being born.
So this is very emotional time. But I'm starting to,
you know, enjoy it as I've gotten older.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
And you know, everybody.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
Ate nephew ran around the house, kept throwing him a
football and set him catching it. He was just throwing
his body all over the turf. I was like, yeah,
he's probably gonna be a safety.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
It's cool.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
But anyway, no, I mean, a lot of college football
has happened. This is a championship weekend. It's interesting how
the Poles are playing out for the College Football Playoff
Thursday night football.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Yeah, I'm not I I was getting there. I was
getting there, I know, just making sure I know what
the GPS. I don't know. We're like within three timelines
right now, so who knows.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
I was bringing it all together. Speaking of which, speaking
of bring it all together, the Lions pretty much slammed
the door on everybody else who thinks they can probably
get that second wild card spot in the UNFC.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
They beat up on the.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
Cowboys, Patriots beat up on the Giants this week, so
Giants like two and eleven. Craziest part is Abdul Carter
top ten pick gets like suspended. I guess for like
the first half. She got caught watching porn on his
(03:29):
phone curring a meeting. During a meeting Chris Boyd the.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
Jets, Taylor tells you to chill out. You know you've
done something wrong. That's crazy. You fucked up tremendously.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
Your life choices are all time just zero awareness. You
need to like rethink the way you do everything. Probably
I Lowrence Taylor is telling you to relax.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
Not only that, I think cut the bullshit.
Speaker 3 (03:58):
But yeah, that definitely works, almost like Spotify with them
telling me my.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
Age sidebar a, you're gonna be Niners fan if they
get Coyle Pits.
Speaker 3 (04:12):
No, why would I ever be an I fan?
Speaker 1 (04:14):
Alright, just making sure?
Speaker 3 (04:16):
And why would they get Kyle Pitts play receiver? Yeah,
pretty much drop every of the third pass his way.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
You're gonna draft him.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
I won't kittles right there.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
Off your board every year and then you somehow draft him.
I didn't draft him in any league this year. Congrats,
you're you're in recovery. Yeah, anyways, go ahead, sorry, but.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
Yeah, So the Patriots ten wins now nine ten wins.
They on the Giants. Yeah, they're like tending too.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
I think.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
Crazy how the Patriots just took that division from the Bills,
I mean just straight up took it from them.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
I mean, this is the year of parody, right, I
mean you got the Chiefs basically on the outside looking in.
You got the Steelers on the outside looking at. I
mean you mentioned before the Jaguars are quietly at the
top of their division. The Colts are right behind them.
So right now the wild card and the AFC shakes
(05:25):
out to the Bills, the Colts, and the Chargers. And
then on the outside looking in, you got the Texans,
the Chiefs, the Steelers, the Dolphins, and the Bengals. With
all that, I mean, the Steelers can still get in
(05:45):
because they're tired for the division with the Ravens, I
mean quite as kept. As bad as the Ravens have played,
they're still in it just based off their division. And honestly,
the Bengals are only two games out, even though they
probably have an outside shot of the wild card, but
potentially they could win their division. I think they still
(06:06):
play everyone too. But yeah, AFC's wide open. Crazy that
the Chiefs aren't in the playoffs and probably aren't gonna
make it. I mean, with the NFL playoffs with no
Aaron Rodgers, no Pat Mahomes, and no Joe Burrow. Shit, shit,
(06:32):
they might not even get Josh Allen or Justin Herbert.
Speaker 3 (06:39):
Justin Herbert is gonna play against eagulls. He has a
broken No.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
I'm just saying in the playoffs, talking about the playoffs,
talk about the playoff picture.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
I mean, I really don't see the Bengals making up
enough ground that'll make it interesting.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
They are only two games out of their division, that's
the thing, and neither of the teams ahead of them, look,
and they've gotten and they've improved. They all play each other.
They all still play each other.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
Yeah, but they need to like lose some out of
conference games too.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
To catch up. It's not impossible their odds are actually
going on because whoever.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
Doesn't win the division isn't gonna win get in the
wild cards exactly. And you need them to lose a
couple of extra games so you can catch them.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
No, they all play each other, That's what I'm saying.
We're gonna see.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
Because what if it's a tie. Yep, that's the thing.
Like a tie really will fuck you up. Look at
the Cowboys, Look at the Packers because they tied, They're
probably both knocked each other out.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
Or they might have helped each other. But yeah, so
right now, the NFC playoff picture, I mean, the two
top top division are clearly the NFC West and the
NFC North. I mean, everybody in the NFC West outside
the Cardinals has nine wins right now. The Rams at
the top, just based off the head, Seahawks are right
(08:15):
behind them, Niners are right behind them. Then you got
the NFC North. You got three teams with eight wins
in that division. The Bears are currently at the top.
Nobody expected that. Nobody expected the Bears to be the
one seed. I mean, I don't even know if Ben
Johnson did, but they are.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
I mean I think everybody knew, like, okay, if Ben
Johnson is who he says he is and fixed the offense,
the Bears already had a really good defense, so you knew, like,
all right, they're gonna be in it. But I don't
think anybody expected them to do what they did to
the Eagles.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
The Packers and Lions are right there at eight and three,
eight and five. I mean, for as many ups and
downs as they've already had in this season. I think
they're right in a position where they want to be.
That tie is gonna hurt them, though, No, the time
is actually what's keeping them above the pack. Oh might
help them. But moving on, you got the Panthers quiet
(09:15):
as kept seven wins, seven wins, one one game behind
the Buccaneers at seven and five. They sit atop the
NFC and then on the top of the NFC South,
I'm sorry. And then in the East you got the
Eagles eight and four, top of the division. Cowboys are
(09:36):
six to six and one outside looking in. And then
you got the Vikings and the Falcons at four and
a disappointing probably not going to do anything.
Speaker 3 (09:48):
So facul Julie philipart this year.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
Yeah, I mean the commander's kind of good too. I
mean they're three and nine, but they've had injuries, so
it is what it is.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
Yeah, So a lot happened. Lane Kiffin officially went to
his defensive coordinator, pet Golden was named the head coach.
At ole Miss the interim coach at uap was named
the head coach, not the Presbyterian head coach. H Ushla
got James Madison's coach as new head coach. Billy Napier,
(10:35):
who got fired at Florida, is going to be the
new head coach at James Madison, which they got the
most money out of all the schools in the Sun Belt.
And one thing he knows how to do is to
build a program up fast. And they're already eleven and one.
It's kind of scary what he's gonna do at James Madison.
Not a bad coach, he gets talent. Let's see Tim
(11:01):
Skippers now the head coach for football at cal Poly.
Brennan Marion, the head coach at Sacramento State who led
them to a seven and five record his first year there.
They literally are leaving. They're not going to have a
conference next year. They won't be in the Big Sky.
(11:23):
He stepped down as their head coach to be the
offensive coordinator at Colorado. He's bringing his go go offense.
Now what Cal What?
Speaker 1 (11:35):
What sax State did?
Speaker 3 (11:36):
They were third in the SCS and rush yards per
game with like two hundred and sixty two resting yards
a game, So that's insanely impressive. They you know, they
go seven to five, but they have the number one
recruiting class and school history damn near FCS history. Well
with all the four stars and everything that they got,
(11:58):
they almost got a five star to two. Uh. But yeah,
so Maryon this is like his was I think eighth
job or fifth job or something like that, and like
the last eighteen months, not eighteen months, but like twenty
(12:20):
some odd months, so he's been moving up the ranks
pretty fast. Probably should have got consideration for you know,
the you'll need to be head coaching job, but he
went to sax State proved himself. Seventy five ain't bad.
And when you have the number one recruiting class in
school history and you leave to go be essentially head
(12:43):
coaching waiting at Colorado and they had got you know,
some five star titled on that roster, I think Colorado's
in a great position now. So if Indy Capitals with Dion,
you know, Brendan Maryon can coach and you know he's
gonna get something out of these kids. So that's interesting
(13:06):
in itself.
Speaker 1 (13:09):
Let's see who else got hired.
Speaker 3 (13:14):
Oregon State's coach, he's the he was the Alabama OC.
There's somebody else who got well, they might James Franklin
stole or he instilled, but he got most of them.
He flipped most of his recruiting class that he had
at Penn State, he flipped most of them to Virginia Tech.
(13:37):
So Virginia Tech I think as like a top twenty
five class. USC has the number one overall class and
thirty three of the thirty six commits are early and rollies,
which is crazy when you think about that. They got
the five stars tight end Mark Bowman out of I
think modern day, so people can comparing him to a
(14:01):
lot of NFL tight ends. And it's gonna be interesting
now that some of the best talent in California schoos
to stay at USC. So if Lincoln is going nine
and three with the guys he has right now, and
if you know with the talent that he's bringing in
(14:22):
from Santa Margarita and all up and down California, this
is this is big. I also feel bad for Legend Bay,
seventeen year old quarterback want to go to Ohio State.
He was forced to sign his letter of intent to
go to Tennessee his family. His mom made him go
(14:44):
to Tennessee. Not only that his brother controls his IG
and locked him out, so he can't speak for himself.
He pretty much has to decommit from Tennessee and try
to get out of his letter of intent once he
turns eighteen, and I think like a month or so.
Speaker 1 (15:01):
How about that rapper two who uh got a ride
with us Syracuse.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
Yeah, people were talking shit on it, some of the
top recruits that frand Brown.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
Said side he looked nice on the WORDO. I mean
he was working.
Speaker 3 (15:17):
Out at another school. Though he's working out I think
in North Carolina State or some ship.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
But yeah, so.
Speaker 3 (15:28):
That's interesting. I mean, you never know, you might ship destroying,
not destroying.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
What's that dude's name? I show speed.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
That dude is a fucking legit, purebred d one athlete
if I've ever seen one. And he's one of the
biggest streamers on earth. So that just goes to show
you like he me and I look like nothing. Now
he might look like something two three years from now.
I think he's what twenty five or something. That's why
(16:01):
I think people were pissed. But uh yeah, I mean,
now you got the college football playoffs. Southern Selvicus is
championship weekend. I'm gonna be flying out to Texas tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
Night.
Speaker 3 (16:20):
It's gonna be incredibly interesting to see how this all
plays out for me personally, because the way it's looking,
in the way they were talking on that call, three lost,
Alabama is definitely gonna get in the playoffs. So if
(16:41):
Bambma loses to Georgia in the SEC title game, they
essentially like that doesn't disqualify a team from getting pushed out,
and to me, it's just one big SEC, like, you
know we're gonna Like, dude, I think Notre Dame gets
(17:01):
told there's no way Notre Dame holds onto a playoff
spot when every team that beat them is in the
top Like, and there's the thing. Notre Dame played the
ACC schedule, but they're not in the ACC title game. Duke,
who has five losses could literally beat Virginia and be
the ACC champs, an eight and five Duke team, which
(17:24):
is interesting because un LV, if they beat Boise State,
they would be eleven and two and Mount West champions.
Now it's like that it would be like the third
year winning ten games in a row. But my thing
is since win is like a Mount West team that
played Big ten schools and played a very tough schedule
(17:47):
because like four teams in the Mount West one eight games.
Actually five.
Speaker 1 (17:52):
Won eight games.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
You're telling me that un l V can't get any
there's no shot for them to make the playoff as
a non like at large. But if an eight and
five duke team makes it, they're gonna be in the playoffs.
I didn't get that exact question because I get it,
but weeks ago I asked about, like, so, what's the
(18:18):
reality if Texas beats Texas A and M and they
got three losses and they what did they do? They
jumped Utah. I told you this was gonna happen. I
told y'all Utah was gonna get hold. Texas is at thirteen,
Miami I think is at twelve. Texas A and M
(18:41):
is at like seven six or seven. They didn't knock
All Miss because they're like, we haven't seen Ole Miss
play a game without their head coach, therefore we can't
just Florida State them.
Speaker 1 (18:55):
But yeah, not there.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
Dame doesn't all their best from teams that are outside
of the top fifteen. So USC got beat up by them.
Notre Dame beat up on Pitt. But that's the problem
pit in USC or have at least three losses a piece. Yeah,
Ohio State beat Michigan, but so did USC, so it's
(19:21):
like the Big ten has a better resume. Notre Dame
has the weakest resume out of anybody left in the
top twelve. So I see them getting pushed out because
if they say, they keep saying Texas has no way
of getting in. But Texas beat Texas A and M
when they were undefeated, and Texas was number one when
(19:44):
Ohio State beat them. Ohio State was ranked third, So
that has to count for something that counts for more
than Texas A and M losing to Miami, losing the Texas,
Notre Dame losing the text at him in Miami, and
I think they I don't know, it's it's complicated with
(20:04):
their schedule, but I just don't see them finding a
way to stay in that playoff picture. But I was
at the USC UCLA game, so got something I'm gonna play.
Speaker 1 (20:21):
Question. I got off the Lincoln U C l A
kipt it tight into the fourth quarter in the first half.
They went the halftime with the three point lead.
Speaker 3 (20:31):
Kyle Lemon had one catch for thirty two yards and
it was a touchdown, and they had like a thirty
five year yard part return kick returning that just kind
of spurned everything. King Miller had a big run to
put the game away late. There's a little scuffle at
the end of the game started. I got it all
(20:51):
the video. Yeah, a lot of guys kind of walked
out of their senior night. That's their last time ever
playing a football game for u C l A. And
for some of the guys for USC A bunch of
dudes already transferred. Brian Jackson transferred out, a couple other
guys who were on the bench transferred out. So and
(21:13):
Kamaria Ramsey did the senior walk. I'm surprised, but Kyle
Lemon didn't do it with him because I know he's
not coming back to school. He's probably gonna be your
first round pick. Yeah, Kamari Ramsey, great safety. Kind of
got stuck playing one thing, kind of got pigeonholed.
Speaker 1 (21:33):
In that defense.
Speaker 3 (21:36):
But it is what it is. Mm hmm, okay, so
go ahead and play this sound. Also, he's starting, you know,
(22:10):
Lincoln also starting you know your tenior here seven and
oh at home and with the senior class going seven
oh at home, how does it feel for just the
coaches with everything, you sacrificed, everything that you know happened
for you to get here.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
What is it?
Speaker 3 (22:24):
You know, what's it like just this week and this moment.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
Yeah, I mean it's it's it's important, you know.
Speaker 4 (22:30):
I you know, I've talked a lot about you know,
the vision that I talked about at the opening press
conference here.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
You know, that's just how I feel about this place.
Speaker 4 (22:38):
And I understand that Los Angeles is a place that
you know, people, people aren't going to show up just because,
right you have to win, you know, you have to
give them something, and when you do, there's no sports
down better. And uh, tonight and multiple times throughout this
season was an example of that, and I think so, Yeah,
I know those moments in there and the call see
(23:00):
of us playing well, crowd going crazy like that's those
are important, man, because everyone just gets better. This year
was better than last year, and then next year is
going to be better, even better than this, and it's
just going to keep growing and growing. And yeah, I
just think it shows that this city is excited about
the Trojans again. And you feel you and and and
(23:21):
you feel that, and our players feel that, our recruits
feel that.
Speaker 1 (23:26):
It's just.
Speaker 4 (23:29):
It just makes it one of those special places like
you're out there and you're playing or your coach, you know,
like this is pretty damn special, Like you just feel
it and that energy is huge, and you know, great,
great programs have a great home field advantage. It's worth
a lot in this game, and that didn't exist here
for a little while.
Speaker 1 (23:49):
All right, it does now. I like how you double
down and answered the second part of your question after
that answering. Yeah, but I mean.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
He had already kind of answered pieces of a previous
question I was gonna ask when he opened up the
presser with everything he said, so I was like, all right,
but I still got to ask you about going undefeated
at home with the first senior class.
Speaker 1 (24:21):
That's what I'm saying, That's what you asked him, but
that's not what he was talking about. And then he
shifted to answering where you had it initially asked Yeah,
which was good because I mean he didn't have to. Yeah,
that was.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
I mean, Hey, it's easy to interview coaches when they win,
but it's hard to like sure, it's hard to get
more than just coach speak out of him, and he
at times she's like opened up emotionally, like, I mean,
he's he's been asking some questionable questions the past couple
(24:57):
of weeks, but uh, you know, giving an honest take
about what your program is after going seven to oh
at home, knowing if you don't lose to Illinois, you're
in the playoff, and if you beat Notre Dame, you're
definitely in the playoff. And if you beat Illinois and
(25:20):
maybe don't lose to Oregon in the Big Ten title game.
So like, USC was very close this year, but it's
like to go nine and three, it's like, yeah, you
see the potential in certain teams. Sometimes they don't meet
that and sometimes they do, but they're peg to get
(25:41):
the Alamobile and uh you know past it. Uh yeah,
the Alamo Bowl in Texas. So but say Antonio or
something like that on December thirties, which would be interesting,
is already be out there for the Cotton Bowl most
likely because they're gonna pretty much open up the National
(26:04):
Championship Credentials portal after all the championship games are over
and some of these bowl games also. Kansas State head
coach Chris climb and he retired they went six and six.
He had like a seventeen year coaching career between being
(26:26):
the greatest coach in like North Dakosta State school history
and then coming to Kansas State and winning a Big
Twelve championship and getting you know, guys to the league
and recruiting guys and he got them to six and
six and he's retiring. And then Colin kleinb former Kansas
State QB, who was I think the Texas A and
(26:47):
M offensive coordinator, He's going to be the new head
coach at Kansas State. So two great hires after you know,
Bill Snyder was the head coach for so long with
that program and the fact that they've managed to get
too dude to definitely know the culture and definitely have
(27:07):
some history there. So that's interesting. Yes, First, some more
college football stuff goes. It's gonna be interesting to see
what happens with Indiana Ohio State. How far does you
(27:30):
know one team drop? If Georgia pretty much wins, they're
just gonna stay at two. If Texas Tech wins, BYU
is probably out of it all together. Even though BYU's
only two losses would be to Texas Tech. Somehow, that's
not a stronger schedule than Notre Dame because I think
(27:53):
BYU is a better team than Notre Dame, but we
will never get that answer. So uh yeah, now we're
just gonna wait and see situation in Hawaii's go back
to Hawai Bowl. Toshitpois the defensive coordinator for Oregon, finally
got a head coaching gig at his alma mater, Cal,
(28:16):
so to be Hawaii versus Cal in the Hawaii Bowl
because the Bahamas Bowl is done forever. And Rice, who
is five and seven, if Kansas State doesn't want to
go to their bowl game, then Rice will gladly show
up for that.
Speaker 1 (28:36):
All right, So who do you like? North Texas and
Tulane tonight at five? I gotta go Tulane, both of
them top twenty four.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
Whoever wins is gonna get the playoff SPOTNA James Madison
is like ranked twenty fifth to twenty fourth and eleven
and one. So it was like the three best teams
in the American Conference. But I guess somehow all through
those teams are better than UNLV, which is weird. And
it's also weird that the pat twelve keeps calling Boise
State their school. I'm like, they're still in the Mountain West.
(29:08):
You know that, right, Like this is technically their last
game as a Mountain West media member. Well, their bowl
game would be their last.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
You gotta b YU in Texas Tech tomorrow as well,
I think.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
Really Yeah, nine am Pacific time, eleven am Central time.
Speaker 1 (29:32):
Well, I guess tomorrow's Saturday at this point.
Speaker 3 (29:35):
Right now, Happy birthday chouse. Yeah, I gotta go. I
think Texas Tech, Jacob Robert, Jacob.
Speaker 1 (29:44):
Rodriguez, Texas sitting in the top five this week.
Speaker 3 (29:50):
Yeah, like they they're really good team, and if they
dog out b YU again, I think you have to
put them at three.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
I think it would be.
Speaker 3 (30:05):
Let'say, Ohio State wins in its Ohio State, Georgia, Texas Tech,
and then I guess that fourth team. That fourth team
is interesting because you got Ole Miss, you got Orion,
and you got Texas and them.
Speaker 1 (30:24):
Georgia Obama.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
I think Georgia beats O Bama. But I think Bama
is still gonna be in the playoffs. I think at
three loss, Bama will get in. If Notre Dame gets
pushed out, I think Texas could move up idly zembego.
Texas is playing their best football right now. They keep
saying that they're not gonna put Texas in. But if
(30:48):
like Notre Dame can't look at Texas's schedule and say,
we've had a tougher schedule. They played Ohio State week one.
Speaker 1 (30:57):
Speaking of the game of the year, Indiana Ohio State.
Speaker 3 (31:02):
I want to pick Indiana because Mendoza is really nice,
but that Ohio State defense is next level freak Like
they got athletic freaks along that defense. It doesn't make
fucking sense. Like their defense might be better than it
was last year and definitely faster and stronger. Caleb Downs
(31:26):
is still back there, so you know, I got I
gotta take a hot State. And Julius Sayan's completing like
eighty percent of his passes. Somehow he got named the
Freshman of the Year when I'm pretty sure he's been
in college like two years or two and a half.
Speaker 1 (31:44):
Any chance a Duke beats Virginia, I think.
Speaker 3 (31:48):
That's highly likely that duke could be Virginia. Duke scares people,
They get up on people, you never know.
Speaker 1 (31:59):
Then they beat Clym's about Troy and James Madison.
Speaker 3 (32:04):
James Madison, James Madison beat Troy. I just love it.
Speaker 1 (32:14):
In one all right, well, touch on the turnover? Got
anything you want to get.
Speaker 3 (32:23):
To touch on the turnover? Trevon boykend going on a
podcast and talking about how nobody in Rust's immediate family
was at Thanksgiving dinner with him to turnover, I.
Speaker 1 (32:44):
Mean, that's crazy to one snitch like that, But it's crazy.
I mean that is that does say a lot about
someone and no one showed up to your Thanksgiving for
your family. But I mean should be like that, who
knows what his family situation is? Love, So you can't
judge someone out that too hard? Like families are complicated, Uh,
(33:09):
institutions leave me at the.
Speaker 3 (33:13):
Last time I checked, drop this dude is like gotten
arrested for breaking his girl's jaw, Like he's a known
domestic violence abuser. He beat the fuck out that girl.
Maybe you're not the person to bring this to light.
Speaker 4 (33:35):
Now.
Speaker 3 (33:35):
I think Marshawn Lynch had the fairest critique of Russell Wilson.
How are you gonna call me from a block number?
And I'm your teammate. We went to the super Bowl
together and he from the Bay, So it's like in
full disclosure. When you're from the Bay, you usually.
Speaker 1 (34:03):
You accept weird.
Speaker 3 (34:04):
So when somebody's different from you, you don't judge them
right away. You're just like, all right, what you want?
When you rubbed Marshall and it's the wrong way, I think.
Speaker 1 (34:13):
You're any other ones you got?
Speaker 3 (34:25):
Uh Yeah, Darius Slay gotta let go by the Steelers.
The Bills picked him up off waivers, and he decided
he's not gonna report because he might retire. He doesn't
know if he really wants to keep playing ball, which ironically,
he'd be perfect for the Bills, but uh.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
Time it's cold in Buffalo. They're on the fringe of
making the playoffs. That defense has been up and down,
and they're low key at cornerback retirement. So yeah, I
don't blame him. I mean, if it didn't work with
the Steelers, the Bills are only a little bit better.
(35:15):
So yeah, I'm gonna say it's a touchdown him retiring.
Speaker 3 (35:21):
Okay, all right, you got one.
Speaker 1 (35:30):
I mean they're not good. You're gonna talk shit about them,
but I got some. I mean, go for it. We're
here now, all right.
Speaker 4 (35:41):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (35:43):
Quadre Diggs returned to the Seahawks, signed with the practice squad.
Touchdown or turnover.
Speaker 3 (35:48):
Any actress release.
Speaker 1 (35:49):
He didn't. I didn't see that recent update.
Speaker 3 (35:52):
I don't know. I'm just trying to figure it out.
Speaker 1 (35:55):
Yeah, I don't know. Probably this was like ten days
ago that he got signed by them. Mm hmm, No,
they just resigned him today. Okay, so yeah, touched down
(36:21):
there turnover.
Speaker 3 (36:26):
Mm holy shit. Wait, they're actually saying Vandy and us
see right, so number fourteens. Vandy explored the possibility of
playing an example of that thirteenth game.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
That's fun, that's what we're doing right now.
Speaker 3 (36:43):
But I know that's crazy, like you really try to
get your team to squeeze in one more game.
Speaker 1 (36:53):
That's hilarious.
Speaker 3 (36:54):
Sorry shout out to Chuck led Vanderbilt and ar QB
that flip from Georgia, But yeah.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
Go ahead. Qloudy Dicks touched out her turnover Seahawks. He's
expected to play against the Vikings.
Speaker 3 (37:11):
I don't know how I feel about. I feel like
the Seahawks are one of the places where they will
just take an old, washed out dB and just make
him play some sort of nickel safety hybrid situation. But
I mean, I guess that's good for him. They do
have what eight wins nine wins the Seahawks defense is
(37:35):
pretty good. Yeah, he's been there for a minute too.
That's the crazy part.
Speaker 1 (37:46):
The Seahawks also signed to the chem Makers touchdown and turnover.
Speaker 3 (37:53):
I mean, you can never have too many healthy running backs, right,
I guess they.
Speaker 1 (37:59):
Love to have running back with the limited home run ability,
so the touchdown he fits right in. The Titans signed Uh,
how do you say it? Cayer Elon, former first round
pick of the Bills. Touchdown or turnover? You know, so
(38:23):
just call that a touchdown? Is he on? There's like
fourteen this year or some shit like.
Speaker 3 (38:27):
That, something like that.
Speaker 1 (38:28):
What's wrong with him?
Speaker 3 (38:29):
I mean he's a Florida dB. What isn't wrong with him?
Speaker 1 (38:32):
Got it? Yeah, so I'm gonna say it. It's a
safety field goal, extra point. It's a fair catch, two
point conversion converted. I Uh. The Saints wave Brandon Cooks.
Speaker 3 (38:58):
We ended up signing him.
Speaker 1 (39:00):
Guys. He started getting sad.
Speaker 3 (39:04):
He was the most consistent receivers, so he was on
the way to having a Hall of Fame kind of
career because he can't have a thousand yard seasons and
then the teams just stopped throwing him the ball and
then he got hurt.
Speaker 1 (39:17):
Oh, the Bill signed him.
Speaker 3 (39:23):
Fantastic, so I should bitch Khalil got.
Speaker 1 (39:27):
It, he said, Khalils your Curtis said, he's in awe
of him. It's one of his favorite players. Man, it
makes sense they have similar style. Brandy Cook has just
been way better his entire life. But yeah, entire entire
(39:48):
all right, moving on, take her tangent real quick. Mm
hmm m hm, hold on all right. Panthers Trevon Morain
got suspended for one game after an incident with Juwan Jennings.
Speaker 3 (40:14):
Based on what people have said about Dawan Jennings in
the last two weeks, he deserves to get punched talking
about people's kids, wives, just saying shit that will get
you shot in real life.
Speaker 1 (40:29):
Crazy. I don't even know Trevon Moweren was like that.
Speaker 3 (40:33):
He was never like that with the Raiders, So I
mean he's talking about somebody's kids and shit, if they
got paid already, you might have to come see him
by that issue. Carolina not soft. They got a head
coaches survived at Juco John Domino College.
Speaker 1 (40:57):
Becky Lynch went to Twitter and bitching about uh officiating
when the bear is still in the game, Take her tangent.
Speaker 3 (41:08):
I just want you to know, this is the most
mark ship that's ever happened on this show. I don't
get a lot fake wrestling beef her husband and Seth Rollins,
who's a Bears fan.
Speaker 1 (41:23):
That's what I'm saying. You gotta take her dad.
Speaker 3 (41:25):
Her literal heel character is being a fucking caring right now.
Speaker 1 (41:33):
See you're saying that, but this is the best thing
you said all show. Those three fucking nuggets of information,
We're like, the most insightful thing you said all So
you're saying you're saying the mark ship, but this is
actually you actually gave some really insightful information.
Speaker 3 (41:54):
Because I'm not a mark about the culture now, you know,
don't fucking you a mark for wrestler's tweets. There you go,
They're always working. Wrestlers are always working. You They're always working.
Say it with me, Say it back. Wrestlers are always
working you say it, Pete?
Speaker 1 (42:15):
All right? The Niners signed Eric Kendricks, take or tag it, Jesse.
Speaker 3 (42:22):
He's like, well, glad I didn't sign with the Ravens
after all, you come right, didn't probably earn some starting
time or get picked on the coverage.
Speaker 1 (42:33):
They've had a ship to the injuries on a.
Speaker 3 (42:36):
Complete done Cleveland fair out here having a nine sack
to a nine tackle, two sack game.
Speaker 1 (42:41):
It's crazy.
Speaker 3 (42:43):
I think you did it last week and they're winning
against the Panthers.
Speaker 1 (42:49):
Or some shit like that. Whoever they played. Last week,
the Rams picked up darre and Kendrick off of Waivers.
I thought it was hurt take your tag year, he's
a retrade. Last week he's he probably he's a retreade.
Speaker 3 (43:11):
Justin Simmons is still out there, which is crazy when
you think about it, because he was All Pro safety.
Speaker 1 (43:19):
Uh, the Raiders are officially eliminated from playoff contention. Take
or tangent.
Speaker 3 (43:25):
Thank god, you can stop pretending like they're trying to win.
Shut Max down and then trade him or get Genail
the fuck out of Vegas because it's just not it's
(43:47):
just now I got wait, what do you have any more?
Speaker 1 (43:53):
Go for it?
Speaker 3 (43:59):
Deshaun wats his practice window got opened. Now, sure door
is the starter, but DeShawn Watson's practice window got opened.
Speaker 1 (44:16):
So what does that mean. It's in the.
Speaker 3 (44:19):
Realm of in scope over reality that Deshaun Watson could
once again be the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns
between now at the end of the season because this
twenty one day practice window got opened.
Speaker 1 (44:35):
Yeah, I don't know, man, I mean I seen him
on the sideline. He's been engaged helping the young guys.
But I don't know what Juicy had he has because
he didn't have a lot last season. I can't imagine
he's better a year older. What the hell happened sitting
on his ass? I don't know. He fell off a
fucking cliff, like I've never seen a fall off. Stop
getting rubbing tugs and just have one girl do it.
Speaker 3 (45:00):
It's not that hard find a porn star chick. I
don't get it. Like, when you have that much money
and access to women, how do you still choose to
be a weirdough? Like there's ass being thrown at you
from every angle, all the women you who would willingly
(45:21):
sleep with you, and you just be.
Speaker 1 (45:24):
A weirdo about it.
Speaker 3 (45:27):
Yeah, I just I'll never understand blowing a three to
zero lead that hard in my life. Crazy, It's embarrassing.
I'm embarrassed. Like, you know what, God, if that's what
I was gonna do with it, I'm glad you didn't
give it to me. But Holy shit, if you gave
(45:48):
it to me, I wouldn't do that.
Speaker 1 (45:52):
All right, I'm want to close out the show.
Speaker 3 (45:56):
Yeah, shout out the fifty cent ethering did he with
the release of that documentary? I fell asleep after the
second one, but after two I was like this shit
is this is disturbing? Some of this went off in court.
(46:17):
Shout out the storming row, Shout out to.
Speaker 1 (46:23):
Shit.
Speaker 3 (46:23):
What's so boys, I'm forgetting his name Armind Wiggins because
he covered the trial, like the stuff that came out
that some of these YouTubers and streamers have been saying,
and it, Oh, it's finally coming out the fact that
this sick piece of shit made his dead friend who
(46:45):
got murdered because of him.
Speaker 1 (46:47):
You made his his estate.
Speaker 3 (46:52):
Hey, you charged him for his own funeral, which slowed
up his estate getting the money, and then you got
him removed off a cover because you wanted it. Then
you made that whole song about you. And you gotta
pay Sting a piece of that money because you didn't
(47:13):
clear with him. You gotta pay him residuals on that
forever the cold place in hell for Diddy whenever he dies.
Speaker 1 (47:29):
Is that it?
Speaker 3 (47:32):
And Happy birthday to my sister, Chelsea. She's officially twenty
eight mother too, and I'm really proud of her. It's
rare you see somebody's life from start to finish. It's
rare that you get to see that or be a
part of it. But to see like I got to
(47:54):
see my little sister from the time she was born
and came home from the hospital now watching her learn
how to walk, watching her learn how to talk. She
was always a happy baby. She's like one of the
most happiest, naturally happy and upbeat people I know. Even
though she carries she carries some shit away through that
(48:16):
would destroy most people. But salute to my sister, Chelsea.
Speaker 1 (48:21):
I love you.
Speaker 3 (48:22):
Can't wait to spend your birthday with you later today
and then I fly out to Texas tonight or really
like m less than twenty four hours from now. Twelve hours, no, yeah,
less than twenty four hours from now. So I'm excited
(48:44):
about that can becoming a big twelve championship? Are you
versus h? Techis tech? And honestly, when I tell you, God,
I fucking love the Cowboys press Box just some of
the best food, better than some restaurants I've been to.
Score fucking may Chef's kiss. It's just Cowboys Stadium so far,
(49:09):
and then there's everybody else in terms of like press
box food.
Speaker 1 (49:14):
That's it for me though, Yeah man, uh rp Elton
Campbell morning Side, great Clemson all the time winning score.
Uh Laker Piston died this week. R p.
Speaker 4 (49:36):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (49:37):
Outside of that, we went made it to the Raiders
game this past week. Had a good time minus the
Raiders getting their ass kicked. Tailgate was good though. We
had some good tacos, the vias were good. Weather it
was perfect. No, we got there a little bit late.
We got a great spot, so I was happy about that.
(50:00):
Fuck what else was I gonna talk about? Oh? Shit, man,
all these motherfuckers that were sending me Chris Paul updates
this whole week. Like, I don't know what's up with
Laker fans, but they seriously care more about the Clippers
than Clippers fans. Dude, Like, nobody ever sends me shit
(50:23):
when the Clippers win seventeen straight games or ten straight games,
but the minutes some drama pops off, they want to
share it with me. And everyone's just been spamming Chris
Paul shit at me, and it's like, bro I haven't
even watched a basketball game this year, and I've seen
over one hundred and fifty basketball games in person, And
(50:46):
to be honest, I mean, I really don't walk into
the NBA until the New Year, just because I hate
the NBA Cup so much. That's the first time I
ever said that on record, But yeah, so pretty much
stopped fucking adding me with NBA takes. I mean, the
Clippers won yesterday, so hopefully they'll get better. I don't
know what the fuck happened with that Chris Baull shit,
(51:08):
but the reports indicate that he was just being demanding
and wasn't a culture fit, and supposedly him and Tyleru
weren't connected even though they're homies and friends. So I
don't know what to believe. But either way, I don't
think it can get much worse. So the Clippers haven't
been this bad in a while, like in like twenty years,
(51:31):
Like they haven't started this bad. The sad thing is
all they need to do is win a big streak
like they did last year, and they're right back into it.
And two years ago they started off pretty bad too
before they traded for James Harden. So we'll see I'm optimistic.
And then there was something else I was gonna talk about.
(51:51):
What else did you talk about in your rent? There's
something else that you mentioned. Oh the Diddy doc That's
what I was going to talk about. Oh yeah, So
I finished The Diddy Dog And what I will say
is I feel like there was some stuff that I
didn't know that I should have known, like about Diddy's history,
(52:16):
and there was like there's all these different moments in
Diddy's career, and it's like there's so much shit just
there with him that it's like so easy to not
connect the dots and not like see the overall bigger
picture because you're just seeing all the different plots on
the data point. But I think this documentary did a
(52:38):
good job of kind of really piecing together all those
different dots and kind of showing a nice, you know,
somewhat objective perspective of what was going on with Diddy.
And I mean the fact that fifty produced is just funny.
But overall, I thought it was pretty good. Like I
(53:00):
don't know if it used you before episodes. I mean,
there was some shit that we already knew. There's some
shit that had already been played out talked about. But
I think it did a good job of just showing
you Diddy and his own words throughout the years and
just kind of connecting all the different ditties that I've
(53:21):
been around and showing you the truth what was really
at the core of it all. So I thought it
was pretty decent. But uh yeah, man, can't believe it's
fucking Christmas. I can't believe it's December, whatever the fucking
(53:41):
day is. But it's this Touchdowns and Tangents, TDS Underscore Tangents,
Touchdowns and Tangents dot Com. We're out. Peace. Peace, Keep
your hands to your fucking self. I locked your doors. Yeah,
don't big jumping over in nobody's dirty dishes.
