Speaker 1 (00:02):
Aren't you gonna tired of these cloud chasing, no chemistry,
having Over the Hill Gamekeeper and radio podcast? So who
just provide no culture league and tis commentary.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
We actually got something for that.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
This is touchdowns and tangents. You're weekly spot for NFL
takes topical tangents and context for the culture. So tune in,
tune in, because you never know if you're gonna get it.
Take a tangent, but either way hits a touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Geez, I don't want to hit the blue button too.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
No, I just have better timing.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
No, use us are always bad.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
You think they're a lot better in your head because
they look cool when you're doing them.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
They look cool, but half the time you don't even
be listening at the time.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
You don't even have your headphones on when you're pushing
the blue button, so you think you're looking cool. But
oh no, no, no, no, I only care about the playback.
Plus the other thing is this ain't really set up
to be a DJ like that, so like it kind
of just loops over itself without like continuing to play,
if that makes sense. Somebody's not like a like a

(01:16):
true scratch. You know, it's nothing like the same song,
sound continues. It's like the sound just restarts. DJ no
where Jamaican DJ So I think I'm good. I'm just
saying it doesn't sound as good as you think it does.
With your quote unquote impeccable timing. I mean, I kind

(01:37):
of you're timing to be peckable, is what I'm saying.
I mean, everybody's time to be peckables sometimes, well, mine
be like pretty peccable.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
Like yeah, all right, let's move one.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Touchdowns and Tangents TV's underscore tags 'm pd cambrio.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
I'm just playing see that. You should let drop all
the way. That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
You don't. You push it too fast sometimes, or you
push it too slow, like it looks cool the way
you push it looks cool. I'll give you that, yes,
because sometimes just phonically, phonetically, yeah, there you go. Sometimes
I just do ship for the plot, which brought me
back to my first joke. I don't even know what

(02:25):
the first joke was exactly. Touchdowns and Tags Thursday nice
spot for NFL takes topical tangents and concise commentary for
the culture. No, it goes back to my point of
you pushing it like a two year old just because
you want to. Now you get it, Ah, now you
saw it go full circle.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
That was a kiddy joke where you gotta explain it
for it to be funny. But it'd be funny because
it connects to something else. It's like three timelines within
a joke.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Yeah, you did a terrible job explaining. That's why you laughed.
That's why you fucking laugh You made made you just
man explained my own humor to me. That's fucking wild,
and you laughed about it. Yeah, because I laughed, I'll

(03:13):
laugh along because sometimes it's funny.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
All right, Kenny. So what do we gotta talk about
this week?

Speaker 1 (03:21):
Rain? The state of the Union, This kid's horrible haircut
on TV right now? No, I'm just kidding. Thursday Night football,
the Texas managed to upset the the Bills. Remember like
a month ago and everybody was like, just crowning the Bills,
just fucking triple triple, just triple dipping glocklocking on Josh Allen,

(03:49):
he's the greatest thing sit there. Well, he played like shit,
got sacked eight times, might have been hitting a half times.
But yeah, they they lost twenty three to nineteen to
the Texans, who didn't have Jalen Petrie or CJ. Stroud,

(04:10):
David Simms played good enough to win through two touchdowns,
didn't throw pick Willie marks Hall like seventy five yards.
They stayed ahead of the chains, they made enough plays.
Their kicker eight three field goals. So yeah, I mean
the Texans, they won ugly. They're six and five. The

(04:34):
Bills are out seven to four. Yeah, yeah, they're doing
a hideous six and five. And now the Bills are
a dangerous seven and four wild card team because the
Patriots are like nine and two, and one of those
losses came against the Raiders. I just want to point
that out. So whatever the Patriots do this year, the

(04:58):
one thing they couldn't do was beat the Raiders. And
didn't they win? Didn't they lose in Foxborough? You beat
you lost the Raiders at home? Brother, just saying, but yeah,
go ahead, go ahead on what I thought you had

(05:20):
something to had? You know, I didn't. I didn't get
to watch the game, but people were looking forward to
it as like one of the only exciting There's the
night football, So there's that, and then Monday night football was,
oh yeah, it was the ass whooping of a lifetime.

(05:41):
The Raiders lost to the Cowboys, and of course certain
someone only uh got like six carries for like seven yards. Boy,
when when Chip Kelly wants to ruin or runs career,
he really knows how to ruin a running backs career,

(06:03):
I'll tell you that much. Jinjiaho being made that look
like he's a bust, there's some bullshit, it really is. Yeah,
the Raiders, I think there's just in a tough situation
because they fired their last five coaches and they're paying

(06:24):
like they fired Pete Carroll to be paying him sixteen
million to go away, So I can't really do that.
It's not really an option, And honestly it shouldn't be
an option because why would you hire him if you're
just gonna get rid of him? That's six million.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
Even still that that's still the lot.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
He's the highest paid coordinator and they got the thirty
first ranked offense. So fire your son. You're in a
tough situation right now. I don't know what's going to
turn it around, but something's gotta change. Fire your sons
who are terrible at coaching, you know, because one one
dude is a QB coach and the other is the
on line coach. Maybe fire those two guys and actually

(07:02):
bring in some credible people. You know, stop stop with
the nepotism, Pete Carroll. It's clearly not working. That's my
first issue. And while you have Tyler Locket in the game,
when you just drafted two receivers, it's aren't even giving
them a chance. You're not even giving them a chance. Oh,

(07:27):
it's his Geno's favorite target? Was his Geno's favorite target?
Or was it DK? Because it feels like DK was
his favorite target. He just didn't have the accuracy to
give him the ball. Maybe it's just me, but it's uh.

(07:48):
The Cowboys got the win for their falling teammate, and
the Raiders are gonna have a top five pick this
year or next season. So it's either gonna be a
quarterback or they trade down. I just hope they don't
blow it. Whatever it is, they just need to hit
on it. The Texas, they'll probably take the Texas Tech

(08:12):
airdresser or Jacob Martinez, the Texas Tech going backer, or
David Bailey pass rusher. Like see, we finally got somebody
who can play alongside Max Crosby. And then all the
rumors coming out about how Caleb Rogers is terrible and

(08:35):
he wasn't ready. Maybe, just maybe you should just move
glades to guard, just just maybe because it's not like
he's a world beater at right tackle. I'm just saying,

(08:57):
what's a U pete about? The reports are like, oh,
kayleb Rogers was terrible in practice, bose well, then let
him play right tackle and move glades the right guard.
You know, I've been saying that, i been saying, yah,
he should be a guard. I've been saying for him
should been senter JPJ. But JPJ wants to be a center.

(09:21):
But it's like Chip Kelly doesn't like his ser he doesn't.
He wants like athletic dudes who will pass block and
aren't that physical. Just go look at his organ offensive
lines that when they went up against SEC schools or
other schools. How many of those dudes actually stuck around

(09:44):
in the NFL. Go back and look it all off
of the flying in that red organ Panicuel doesn't count.
He was like a five star. He doesn't count. Tyreell Crosby,
he's been like a lifetime backup. So's it's just frustrating

(10:08):
because it's like, how do you have these dudes, you
draft them, and all of a sudden they can't play anymore. Like,
it doesn't make sense to me. Cold have been out
pretty much all year. You won't go get veteran offensive
lineman who can just come in and just do a job.

(10:28):
Shout out to Kevin Beacham for finding work all these years.
Yeah that's crazy. He just keeps checking on SMU two
like the veteran off of the lineman know how to
stick around hit that ten year mark. I gotta respect it.
But yeah, Meyrith, it ain't it, Meredith, ain't it. It's

(10:48):
just it's just a lot of problems with the Raiders
that everybody's been screaming about. And I just don't even
go into Raiders spaces anymore because it's like you're gonna
say something I've already been saying probably for ten years,
and it's just the same repetitive cycle. And then you
got some weirdos in the spaces and yeah, so we're

(11:12):
at the point where pretty much like remember people said that, uh,
Bryce Young was a bust and he just threw for
four hundred and forty eight yards against the Falcons. Crazy
career high. I never I never I never wavered in
my belief. I was just hoping the Patriot the Panthers

(11:34):
were stupid enough to trade them to the Raiders for
dirt cheap, but they magically wised up. Shout out to TORYA.
McMillan too. Michael Pennick Junior is out for the year
as a result of that game, by the way against
the Panthers, partially torn right acl. It's his third acrol

(11:58):
tear in his right and he's only twenty five. Damn
su The Roosevelt game in Downey tomorrow probably should or
a los Ainger. Why I go to losinger that you
like los Ainger? Why you're the only one who assumes
I like losinger, like literally the only person in my

(12:20):
entire history, because I just something you like losing. I know,
I don't know why you assume that. I've never once
liked losinger. My brother just went to school there. That
was it. Well, at least it's on the record now. Thanks.
It's my only time. You're always Prolandeale. I respect that.
M h. Don't fucking clear your throat. You know you're Prolandeal.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
Yes, I don't really care about any of the three schools.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
But if I had to choose one, I guess I
would choose Londale exactly.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
But yeah, that's like.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Saying picky between fucking peas line of beans and uh
green beans, you go green beans. Yeah, like the one's
clearly better than the other. But they're also it's not
a first round draft pick. Well, no, it's a side dish.
It's just a veggie that you need on your plate

(13:14):
or lental. But yeah, they uh, they're being in Division
six is crazy, by the way, because you like Division three.
When I played who Roosevelt, didn't they upset somebody too? No,
they beat Bourbon last week, but they were at home

(13:35):
in the regular season. Did they have like an upset win?
Some crazy ass whin? Oh shit, probably stop recording man
turned the timer off? No, just it stops when sometimes
when the screensaver, when the screensaver. Yeah, but now it's
still going, We're good, We're good. Wait, what the fuck realized?

(14:00):
Oh so people who don't have realized these gotta pay
eighteen dollars. That's nasty work. Yep. TSA already pissed off
and sick of this shit.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
All right, Colls football, yeahs back this week year all right.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
So USC had an emphatic comeback win against Iowa after
being down like twenty one to ten and a half.
I WA pretty much shot their load they had. They
came out passing, which, let's be honest, what else was
I were gonna do? They run the ball a little bit,
but ain't nobody. Ain't nobody afraid of that shit. So

(14:50):
Kamari Ramsey got hurt, Bishop Fitzer got hurt. UC lost
both their safeties. I was not really a passing threat,
so they couldn't really pull away. Kanowski had a touchdown
catch off a flea faker and a rushing touchdown, and
he threw a passing touchdown. He had a whole hat trick.
So if you play fantasy college football and you had
iowas QB, you probably won big because he had a

(15:12):
rushing touchdown, a passing touchdown, and a receiving touchdown. But
USC's defense tightened up pass coverage, especially the defensive line,
is starting to take control of games a little bit
more against lesser teams, and I will almost beat Oregon
like Oregon only one on a last second chip shot

(15:34):
field goal. They won eighteen to sixteen. I actually think
USC has a slight chance against the Oregon because Oregon
has a ton of injuries right now or receiver and corner.
But they also have given us one of the fewest
sacks in the country. And this is one of the
weaker good Oregon teams. Like this might be the weakest

(15:56):
Oregon team in the last three years. Those other two
are teams were like national title contenders. That's crazy, but
this might be the weakest one. Like they have some
of the same things, but they're just not really there yet.
Even though Dante Moores playing really good within the offense.

(16:21):
You set a program record and go twenty seven for
thirty and have ninety completion percentage, like you're doing something right.
I still think he should stay in school another year,
but who the fuck am I? But I just don't
think he's there yet. I don't think it's a Jordan
Love situation where Jordan Love kind of came back for
his senior year. He could have left after his junior year,
which was much better.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
But uh.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
Yeah, So I'm just gonna play some sound from the
postgame presser. Brian Jackson running back for USC, scoring two touchdowns.
Mkylelemon had like ten catches. Fro One hundred and fifty
three yards. It's Kobe Lane had some outstanding blocks and
great catches. Mkyle Lemon couldn't really like if it wasn't

(17:08):
for Jeremiah Smith, Mkyle Lemon would be the front winder
for the Bulletan cough in my opinion, because he's just unguardable.
He finds a way to get open. He finds a
way to get past corners and DB's and he doesn't
have the biggest catch radius. But if that ball is
near him and he had somebody has to get it,

(17:28):
He's gonna find a way to catch it and sacrifice
his body. He had some crazy aerial catches. I'm like
he landed on his neck and shoulder his head like us.
He's lucky he has those that they have to first
round picks at receiver. Yeah, here's Jamiva Pel'll know you

(18:02):
guys are undefeated at home, going into you know, the
seniors last home game, it feels great.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
You know the treasure treasures.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
You know they showed up today base crazy so yeah,
and then going up in Vegas in Awaii. Yeah. So
I just had to ask that because like this is
the second time, uh, Lincoln Ridley's first year of USC.
He went seven and oh at home they're six and oh.

(18:31):
They play Organ on the road, and then they play
U C. L A on Senior Day, which is really
gonna determine what bowl game they go to, because if
they lose the Oregon everybody expects it, they'll pop down
in the ratings. But they beat U see La. You
can get ten wins this year, and USC kind of

(18:53):
needs a ten wins season because winning six or seven
games is just not winning on seven and six. After yeah,
you beat Texas, sayingem last year the injured season, the
text say name is ten and zero. In the throes
of a national, potential national championship season, Bama lost to Oklahoma,

(19:14):
but somehow Notre Dame just keeps staying their ass up
there above Oklahoma and Bama, which doesn't make any sense
because who is Notre Dame beating Who's Notre Dame beating Pete?
I don't know because it doesn't stand out. But I

(19:36):
can tell you who Bama's beaten. I can tell you
who's Oklahoma's beaten. Notre Dame gets credit like they're independent,
but it's like this whole you not being in a
conference thing is gonna have to stop pretty soon. They're like,
someone's gonna either join the ACC or join the Big ten.

(19:57):
But the shit is getting ridiculous now. It's starting to
get embarrassing because like Texas lost, they have three losses,
but they're out. But technically, if they win the rest
of the way, unless they beat Texas A and M,
well somebody will say, well that Texas should has a
better record than Notre Dame. Texas is a better team
than Notre Dame. They should be in the top twelve.

(20:22):
But on the conference call this week, they pretty much
said that, you know, we're not When I ask them,
they're like, we're not gonna We don't predict how you know,
certain things might turn out. Because my question was, you know,
there's a bunch of SEC teams logs jammed in the
top five and only one of these teams is gonna

(20:45):
be SEC champion. And they pretty much have said the
community time and time again, you know, we're not going
to disqualify somebody for losing their conference title game because
you got there, and it's like okay, but if you
don't get there and you got one loss, like, how
do you keep getting preferential treatment over like Let's say

(21:09):
ole Miss, I think is ranked ahead of Texas Tech.
Ole Miss because of who they lost to, can't even
get to the SEC title game, and Texas A and
M didn't play Georgia, didn't play a couple other teams.
So if all these SEC schools are in the top six,

(21:33):
in the top eight at the end of the season,
but then you got conference champions on the outside looking in, like,
where's the validity in? You're the very context of your
own pretext for how you judge teams. It's common opponents

(21:54):
strength the schedule sometimes when you played and yeah, but
like ole Miss has one loss, Okay, Georgia has one loss,
but in Texas A and M is undefeated. So Olemiss
just gets this just to sneak right in above a

(22:15):
Big twelve champion, because realistically Texas Tech is gonna buy
this week. Their last game is Getst. Four and seven
West Virginia. That's a dub most likely. Then you got BYU,
who needs to win out. And if BYU wins out,
then it's a rematch of BYU Texas Tech and they
both have one loss. So BYU, let's say beats Texas

(22:39):
Tech in the rematch, Texas Tech drops out of the
top ten now or drops out of the top eight.
So does a two loss Texas Tech get more credence
than a two loss Bama because we all know a
two loss Bama will always find a way to sneak
back in until the playoffs. So that's very problem right now.

(23:02):
Notre Dame being there is problematic right now. So we'll
see what happens. Did you already say you like in
Missouri and Oklahoma. Missouri's is almost all the way at
the bottom, I know, but stay you like in that game, Oh,

(23:24):
I got Oklahoma. I think Oklahoma wins out. So it's
like Oklahoma just has to win out and they'll just
walk right into the playoffs. That's all you gotta do,
is they'll get But the crazy part is like you
got North Texas, you got Memphis, you got some of
these other schools that are non you know, Power five,

(23:49):
and only one of them gets in. But their gripe
is going to be I'm a conference champion and you
got a team with three losses ahead of me. It's weird.
It's really weird. Like for the for the CFP rankings
to come out and Memphis is nowhere in it, North

(24:13):
Texas is nowhere in it. San Diego State's not even
in it. And they only got they got two losses
on the season, but they got one loss in the
Mountain West. Hawaii has to win out they can get
into the Mountain West title game. Uh. Since Boise lost,
they're cooked UNLV and uh I think UNLV lost to Hawaii.

(24:36):
If I'm not mistaken, I think UNLV plays San Diego State.
So it's it's gonna be really interesting because the champions
the Confege Championships or December fifth and December sixth, and
then you're gonna have a bowl games and such be
announced the LA Bowls December thirteenth. You will see some

(25:01):
people had them going to the Alamo Bowl. We'll see
how that works in the Cotton Bowl for the semifinals.
It's gonna be very interesting. I just don't I don't know.
I shut up to Rice for giving up free ice cream,
free beer, and free T shirts and a fifteen dollar
food truck that's being in North Texas. That's all students

(25:25):
in attendance. That's beautiful. I kind of wish I was
at Rice right now. Fuck North Texas, North. I was
saying that for you, I mean another your rival. Now,
I don't have a beef for North Texas in Dynasty
and I already clapped him and I have smu So

(25:49):
why would I be had team full of five stars?

Speaker 2 (25:54):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (25:54):
Man, five stars don't even get to play. That's how
many five stars? I got? My five stars? Answer it.
I'm just like, oh, well, so be it crazy? How
many people? How many Rare fans want drunk Grunenberg? Man?
Some people were saying he's gonna go to college. I'm like,

(26:14):
he's so disconnected from the youth.

Speaker 2 (26:18):
He's disconnected from the pros.

Speaker 1 (26:20):
Like he's literally just a I'm just gonna run the
ball smash mouth, say Brett Favre Spider too. Why Banana
Andrew Luck? And I'm kind of a closeted big allegedly
but definitely based on you know things allegedly.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
All right, take a tangent. What do you got this week?
I look that ship?

Speaker 1 (26:50):
Uh all right, take a tangent. I can't believe what
I'm saying this. Oh, Jayala Ramsey firing on Jamar Chase

(27:13):
because the video Jamar Chase spit in that man's face.
He spit on that man. They put it in slow
mo and he said iron spit. I'm like, yeah, it
was that zesty white that zest l s U energy.
That's zest l s U wide receiver energy. I didn't

(27:33):
see the video. Was it an intentional spit or was
it just hey, he fucking pronounced his peas and was
he taking his mouthpiece out?

Speaker 2 (27:40):
And said, oh, okay, then yeah, that's a fad for sure.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
I like, you just gotta see it and then match
the sound that I just bade to how he did it.
You're like, you know, you've talked with the mouthpiece on
and the spit usually comes up spot simultaneously with the mouthpiece. No,
it was the mouthpiece, and then he know that it
was a hot It was disgusting. It was a nasty ass. Lookie.

(28:07):
I was like, brother, we gotta fight. I don't even
care if we make the playoffs. I gotta beat your ass. Now.

Speaker 2 (28:13):
Yeah, it's crazy, But.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
Why do people keep spending like a j Like he's
an instigator. I'm just saying he is. He definitely got
Brooks in him. But also she ain't a bitch. And
also you shouldn't be spitting on players should be spending
on each other, Like if we're gonna spin on somebody.
There's some things we gotta out evolve, you know. I

(28:36):
feel like that as men, men kill each other. That's
why you don't spin on people. Unless you beat women
or you're a sex offender, then yes you should be
spat on. But like that, he got suspended, like and
he appealed it. I think he got suspended like you
should be suspended for even saying you want to appeal it.

(28:58):
So yes, my take is, like Mike Tomlin said, once
you spin on another man, it's you gotta handle that
how you handle it. I'm not gonna because it's me.
Your kid's gonna grow up without a father. You gotta die.

(29:19):
There's no forgiveness for hotting in my fucking face on
national television and then going and saying you didn't do it.

Speaker 2 (29:31):
He should have got an extra game for lying about it.

Speaker 1 (29:34):
His teammates should be like, what the fuck's wrong with you?
I get we're losing, like Joe Burrows, like it's I'm
saying it's a zesty LSU wide receiver ship because O'Dell
and Jalen have problems.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
All right, take your tangent.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
And that's why Justin Jefferson is the best receiver to
come out of LSU.

Speaker 2 (29:58):
All right, take your tangent.

Speaker 1 (30:01):
The NFL is going to be celebrating John Madden throughout
Thanksgiving Thursday. They will have a John Mann's MVP with
her where they will award a uh pin I mean uh,
I guess it's a coin, special coin for the m
v P. And then there will also be some of

(30:23):
the jerseys will have a special mad logo on it.
So take her tangent on the NFL honoring the legendary
commentator coach. Yeah, it's it's it's amazingly dope. I can't
wait to write the headline about it since I worked
that day. I feel like, if you're gonna do it right,

(30:47):
the coin is silver, but the jersey logo is gold somewhere,
like the logo should be black if you're going to
do it right because you only coached one you only
coach one team. I think they should do a Turducan
in a Raiders jersey and put it on a fucking
on a jersey with Madden on the back. You do,

(31:11):
I would give you up. I'll give out a customary
to Duck in jersey. Yeah, but I don't they're not
trying to do that. They're not trying to honor him
with fans. They're just trying to honor him on TV,
because that's where his greatest landed, lasting impact is all
the national games. He commentated, that's what people think of

(31:33):
when they think about NFL broadcasts. Obviously that parlayed into
the game experience, So when people narrate games, they just
they think about Madden. And I think that's more of
what they're trying to honor.

Speaker 2 (31:46):
Than his actual legacy as a you know, football personality, coach, coach, player,
et cetera.

Speaker 1 (31:54):
Because he was coaching while you played Madden. He was
educating you while you were playing that video game. You
know That're right? Yeah, for sure. And I'm talking to
you understanding, like in general, like for the general people
who know it's just a video game. No niggas learned
how to read coverages, people like learned how to some
people like people I knew growing up couldn't read that good,

(32:17):
and they would like use video games to like read
better and comprehend better. Like I think people, I think
we we forget the purpose of video games and stuff
like that is to literally teach through entertainment, and he

(32:38):
did that. Are we better than anybody? That's why once
Madden stepped away from Madden, it stopped really being Madden.
That's why we have more reverence for the two thousand
and three to two thousand and eleven run. Then we
do anything after that. Like if you could have the

(32:59):
old PS two Madden interface with like updated characters, you
would take it, because there was nothing greater than playing
with LT on the charters knowing Michael Turner was eighty
seven as a backup. An Antonio Gates say, I forgot
what I was gonna say, but uh yeah, so, uh

(33:30):
I don't know which one? Then say, I guess this one.
So Dion Sanders is unsure if he'll make it to
Shadra Sanders first start on Sunday. Those of you don't know,
Shadaria was named the starter for this upcoming game. He
had the whole pressure saying it was gonna be amazing.

Speaker 2 (33:49):
You just have to be there. His own Pops says,
he doesn't know if he'll make it.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
Take your tangent on Dion going to Shudar's first NFL start. Deon,
don't watch Losers play. You get enough of that Narraman,
I'm gonna make a Colorado duke.

Speaker 2 (34:08):
But now.

Speaker 1 (34:10):
Shador getting hold and I wouldn't want to see my
son getting hold by coaching staff that should probably be fired.
I wouldn't want to see that ship because I'm not
gonna get hurt. Like if his son get hurt, that's
gonna bring an emotion out of Dion that he gonna
get killed for that. Eli man. He kind of said

(34:31):
a similar thing in the preseason where he was like, Oh,
I'm not really worried about it, like if I make it,
I make it, and then he ended up making it,
and then also like, I mean, he's got his own
shit going on right now, right at Colorado's life at Colorado,
so they're trying to get him fired. And it's like, brother,
you were asked before he got here, how many dudes
has he gotten drafted in? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (34:54):
I think, I mean, I think it would be great
if he could. I mean, obviously he's been there for
most of his games.

Speaker 1 (35:05):
And also Shalders are grown ass man and professionals, so
if his pops can't make it to a game, it
is what it is. You still got to play. She
got to go out there and win especially with all
the eyes and attention on him, and that's really what
his dad would want him to do anyways.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
So yeah, not really, not really a news thing for me,
But I digress.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
Anything else you want to say for touchdown or turnover
before I may take your tangent before I turn to
a touchdown or turnover, stay away from words with tea.
It's not good alliteration because a matter every times you
say something is literally our existence. Yeah, but if you
say too many time? All right, bro, let's go, let's

(35:51):
let's let'sten. Let's wrap up the Kenny tangents so we
can get through the show and get it get waiting
for you to get to the next part.

Speaker 2 (35:59):
You can just let your I was talkings to the
saying no, Sirriah, go ahead, move on. Thank you.

Speaker 1 (36:05):
It was a playful, lighthearted job. Jesus Christ. I've been
bitching since six am today. Yeah, you know how many
bitches I said today? I sent at least like five
hundred today, and you're clearly moody. I sent like five
hundred emails today. What I'm saying, I just got a
fresh cut and went to the gym, so I feel
pretty good right now, Like.

Speaker 2 (36:24):
And the rest of the week were moody as fucked.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
The rest of the week don't matter. My life starts over.
I respawn, motherfucker. I'm not even the same person I
was twenty.

Speaker 2 (36:33):
Minutes ago until ten days later when you need a.

Speaker 1 (36:36):
Boost thirteen actually thirteen to fourteen and a half. So
I sometimes I won't wash it because I'm all right.
If I don't wash it every day, won't fucking just
it'll just keep growing like like an amish. It's just bad.
The Browns extended defensive end Alex Wright three year, twenty

(36:56):
one million dollar deal could be as much as thirty
three million and touchdown or turnover already thrown away? Buddy,
why not? I'm surprising hand any money after Garrett's contract.
I'm just saying, like he's a really good all pro
career in Cleveland. Truly, not too much for a defensive end,

(37:18):
rotational defensive end. So whatever, probably a touchdown, But yeah,
I feel like, I mean, that's ward, that's scared. I
feel like some.

Speaker 2 (37:28):
Point you gotta do something with those guys and go
back to the drawing board, all right.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
The Texans Way twenty twenty two fourth round pick Damian
Pierce They also have Joe Mixon, who reports has said
he's done for the year. He said he's not done
for the year. You got what he marks who's coming
on strong. You got Nick Chubb who's showing some some

(37:57):
resilience there. So touch under turnover. Just on the whole
Texans running back situation. They're on the uh Gary Koopiac
side of the game where you just need a capable
back who can run, catching, block and what he's what
He's carved himself out a definite career there because mixing

(38:22):
is done. Yeah, I mean, you're definitely right. They definitely
always have more running backs and less. And also they'll
get rid of them within their like two to four years,
so they always move on, is what it is. You
know what the gig was, Woddy, You know jobs dangers
when you took it. Scared go to church, all right?

(38:48):
And then uh another one you got for a touchdown
and turnover or fair You want me to move on
to fair fad, you can go to fair fraid all right.
So this one was from earlier in the week, but uh,
the Bills starting left tackle Dawkins basically called out key

(39:09):
on Coleman, saying it's time to grow up. Coleman was benched.
He was a healthy scratch the game before Thursday, so
fair Faid Sharan left tackle, basically calling out a second
year receiver who's a starter, borderline starter, should be a starter,

(39:33):
was a starter? Faith? I mean he's right. Just look
at the Bills, like Klil Shakur is their best receiver.
I don't know why they keep thinking he's not. They
throw it to everybody else but him. Both his tight
ends were hurt. I don't get how you don't just

(39:56):
do it. Yeah, it's almost worse to be a Bills
fan just because they're just good enough to be relevant
and break your heart. But yeah, there's still the Bills.
Just can't get over that home anything else you want

(40:19):
to add to Fara faed S A. J. Brown on
the speculation, Oh yeah, that's a good one that he
isn't the same player. He said, Well, I guess Saquan
it's the same player he was either. You know, that's
actually fair, just because everyone's been talking about this AJ Brown,
how he's been struggling whatever. It's basically been the whole

(40:40):
storyline narrative, and it's like quiet as kept Saka and
Barkley has kind of slipped through the cracks, which a
lot of people were kind of saying was gonna happen
last year, because if you look, if you go back
and look at the people that have had as many
touches and yards from scrimmage that he had last year,
they usually fall off the next year. So a lot

(41:02):
of people felt like he was gonna fall off anyways,
or have some somewhat of a downturn. I don't think
anyone really expected it to be like this, And more importantly,
I think what Bron is insinuating is that it's got
nothing to do with the talent. It's got everything to
do with the change at the coordinator position. So I

(41:25):
think it's fair. I mean, you could say the same
thing about Jalen too, right, So Jalen is like he's
like plus fifteen in terms of like touchdown interception ratio.

(41:45):
That's not really a good stat exactly because look at
his passing yards and look at his receivers and his
tight ends and his running backs off of the line
is slowly, quietly deteriorating it just like that though, right
that off, the coordinators never called plays before, and he's

(42:06):
holding the team back. But Sirianni don't want to do
the right thing is just hey, you're not calling plays
no more. Like as a head coach, you gotta know
when to lock the fuck back in, Like, let me
do it.

Speaker 2 (42:18):
I got it.

Speaker 1 (42:20):
Just smooth things over with the quarterback and receiver room
and running back room. Just about to get Peterson about
another half a season. How you get the two super
bowls and then they just want to fire you.

Speaker 2 (42:35):
The crazy thing is about Billy.

Speaker 1 (42:37):
The crazy thing about that is if the Saints thing
doesn't work out, I could see the Eagles calling Kellim
Moore back. I don't think if gets fired he gets
a job anywhere else. It might not work out. And
I don't know if kel Moore is going to jump
straight up to the top of the list after that.
He'd have to do something in New Orleans to warrant
that kind of consideration. Otherwise he's back to o C

(42:59):
or college coordinator considerations in my book, or you head coach. Yeah,
I don't know about that one. Damn Why you hate.

Speaker 2 (43:08):
Them because you've been trying to give it to anybody?

Speaker 1 (43:10):
Bro Well, well, first off, don't make me seem like
you be trying to give the job to literally anybody,
anyone who sounds CUD adjacent. You'd be like, oh, what
if they take this job knowing damn well, one U
c l a A hein got the brad cloud or
prestige to get that said person be knowing, damn well,

(43:33):
they're not a cultural or regional fit.

Speaker 2 (43:36):
And see, you know, I really don't even care. So
you're not even rage bait.

Speaker 1 (43:42):
Trolling me either, not rage bait trolling you. I know
That's what I'm saying. I'm just something to think about.
I remember when people said you shall LA's never gonna leave.
Now it's looking like they're really gonna play it so
far the Pac twelve will never just burst. Yeah, I
remember that dude got out wait play that again. It

(44:06):
was I don't even know what it was. Well, I
got one fair faid Broncos' first round pick corner out
of Texas. John Barron took a shot at Chiefs tight
end Travis Kelce and a deleted ig post that said
tel Swift put me on the song and it was

(44:26):
him pretty much knocking him down and fortunate an incomplete
pass and Denver one nineteen over the Chiefs. They are
like disgustingly running away with the AFC West All right,

(44:47):
so uh I think that's about it, right, Yeah, you
want to close up the show?

Speaker 2 (44:59):
Sorry?

Speaker 1 (45:00):
Beat us no energy this week. He's been pitching since
five am this morning. I got off work, went to
go visit my fuck my people came home and Brouh
was pitching away. So and I went to sleep at one. Yeah,
terrible sleep, habits. I couldn't beat us in mea for

(45:20):
no reason? Did you say, b dsm I couldn't beat
SMU for no reason? Did you even beat Orion yet? Yeah?
Beat Organ? We'll score twenty seven scored four touchdowns, no
three tations, wait, no interceptions, four touchdowns and no interceptions

(45:41):
with the backup or the senior, the senior congrats. Yeah,
well that was just so stille because now that game
I could only take two hits in my quarterback will
get hurt. Now I can only take one and he's
instantly out. So be it like he can't even off
of play action, Like his release is so fucked up.

(46:03):
His dog.

Speaker 2 (46:04):
I think it's though.

Speaker 1 (46:05):
Timing is like minus sixteen. Like, brother, it's just a
rib injury. Chill out. Have you ever had injured ribs? Yes?
I have so you know how bad that hurts. Yes,
I know it hurts a lot, but it doesn't he's
a change who you are. It's just yes, it does.
It hurts way less, makes you way more cautious because

(46:26):
breathing hurts. Well, do you want to win this fifth
championship and go to the league or not? I mean
run the ball And was like, man, did you put
that in the rules that you can't win five championships?
If you win four championships, you just gotta go to
the league. Like that should be an automatic rule. That's
what Bama did. By the way, a bunch of people

(46:52):
got measles at a tapement great concert in Arizona, like
a massive measles super spreader event. Interesting, so there's that.
She was also at the form like what a week
and a half ago, Tate mcray h. So you're gonna
say someone else she was at the forum. Like, by
the way, how was the Are we on the rants? Now? Yeah,

(47:14):
that's what I said, clause up the show. Oh well,
my rent is asking you how was the tament polo concert? Well?

Speaker 2 (47:21):
I could talk about that during my rent, but this
is your time.

Speaker 1 (47:25):
No, I just I just conceded my time to you. Okay, fine,
I had an amazing time with my nephew at the Chargers.
At the Rams Seahawks game, that four year old whooped
my ass, but he thugged it out. At the end,
he was like, let's walk around and explore.

Speaker 2 (47:43):
I was like, all right, bruh.

Speaker 1 (47:45):
Cool, got him home safe in one piece, and they
didn't talk to his ass for three days. Man, children
are fun. Like then the fact that he was dancing
his ass off Warren g performing the halftime show and
the Rams almost choked that game away, But we're not

(48:07):
gonna talk about that. Dvante Adams got his thousand catch
on a touchdown catch h. He's truly one of the
greatest receivers to not have a ring yet it's like
it's Randy t o Davante. That's the list. Anyway, I'm done.

(48:31):
Uh yeah, And I got my haircut and it looks
fucking impeccable. Yeah. The Tim and Paul In concert was
pretty dope. It was good to get out with my
girl and hair friends. It's a good time. Our seats
were a little high, but it wasn't a bad view.
Stage was just very circular, so you got good sideline
of visibility. His vocals were good, the MIC's were good,

(48:55):
the sounds was all good. So it was a good time.
Ended up paying a taxi to get out of there
because I didn't want to wander around and it was
half raining, looking for an uber. Yeah, that was pretty
much the night. Yeah man, Outside of that, shout out
to the fucking oc trojans Man. We had a fucking

(49:15):
crazy ass year. Never thought me coaching eight year olds
would entail so much drama, and we lost coaches, we
lost players, parents bitching at us all the time, just
politics within the program, politics.

Speaker 2 (49:34):
Within the snoop league. It was just a lot. But
ultimately the result was a playoff game. We played the
two seed.

Speaker 1 (49:43):
Harvard City Raiders out here in Lynnwood. Ended up losing
by two touchdowns. But the kids loved it.

Speaker 2 (49:51):
I mean, it was poor and raining, they were all
just having a ball.

Speaker 1 (49:55):
Our biggest kid basically took his undershirt off and we
just had his pads on, had his belly, was living
his best life.

Speaker 2 (50:04):
And honestly, I mean I was pretty proud about my
guys play.

Speaker 1 (50:06):
Like, yeah, they made mistakes, but for the most part,
they actually looked like, you know, they belonged and that's
the second best team in the league. And really, even
though we lost by two touchdowns, we really lost off
a punt return for a touchdown, which it was like
a thirty yard punt.

Speaker 2 (50:26):
It was like an eight yard punt.

Speaker 1 (50:28):
It was going to be a thirty yard punt, but
it bounced and it for some reason, it bounced right
into the guy's hand, even though it was fucking raining
as fuck and the ball was super wet. But somehow
the football guys were like, no, you know what, this
one is just gonna bounce perfectly into it. And then
also on that note, we had an interception before the

(50:49):
halftime where it was like a similar thing where this
dude like bobbled it three times and made the spectacular
catch and took it to the house. Minus those two plays,
I mean, we're right there, and that's the number two
team in our whole division and they only lost one
fucking game. So that just tells you the difference between
the one and the seventh seed, I mean, the two

(51:10):
in the seventh seed in that league, and just overall
and youth football and overall and football, I mean, whether
for the most part, you can look at a lot
of losses and pointing to you know, three or four
or five plays like that's really the difference, Just those
situational plays where hey, if we would have got this

(51:32):
second and eight and turned this into a third and
five or a third and three, you know, we're cooking
versus we got a sack and now or a bat
snap and it's third and twenty. You know, those sort
of things. Or you know, hey, misschfield goal, miss punt,
you know, broke broken coverage, broken play, quarterback, breaks, breaks

(51:54):
the pocket, just different things like that.

Speaker 2 (51:57):
And that's the case really for all different levels.

Speaker 1 (51:59):
Is like the line between winning and losing is very
fine because if you really break it down, each team
maybe gets fifty plays on offense fifty plays on defense.
So those five plays that I'm alluding to, I mean,
that's basically could be one play every other drive. That

(52:19):
could be ten percent of your total offense total defense.
And you could see how that could easily take you
from let's say you win, you win on thirty of
your fifty plays, like you should be able to win,
but if those five plays you lost, like that's going
to be the tipping point because that's ten to twenty

(52:43):
percent of the game. So yeah, regardless of what level
you're playing at, every rep, every play matters. I think
that's what it comes down to when you talk about football.
More important than all that, though, I think you can't
have a football game without having a team. That team's
not only just the players, but it's it's the admins,

(53:04):
it's the referees, it's the team moms, it's the boosters,
it's the you know, athletic directors. It's the admins, it's
the coaches, it's the staff, and it's really even you know,
the debt players, the bench players, the reserves, whatever you
want to call them.

Speaker 2 (53:21):
Like as much as coach coach Ward will.

Speaker 1 (53:24):
Say, oh, we only need eleven guys or we only
need twenty two guys or whatever that number is, the
truth is you.

Speaker 2 (53:31):
Can't have a football team. You can't have a football game.

Speaker 1 (53:34):
Without people, without community, and I enjoyed being a part
of that this year, even if it was a filled
with drama that I think the community that ended up
rising to the top, or I guess you could say
filtering through the bottom.

Speaker 2 (53:53):
Really was a good group.

Speaker 1 (53:54):
And and for as much you know, stress as it
brought me, I think it brought me a good amount
of joy especially.

Speaker 2 (54:03):
But yeah, I was just wrapping up the show.

Speaker 1 (54:05):
I was just saying.

Speaker 2 (54:08):
Coaching brought me a lot of joy, especially in a
time when.

Speaker 1 (54:10):
I needed it, transitioning as my brothers, I moved out,
moved to college, whatever.

Speaker 2 (54:18):
But yeah, man, that's it.

Speaker 1 (54:19):
Touch Outs, the Tangents, TD's underscore Tangents, Touchdowns and Tangents
dot Com.

Speaker 2 (54:25):
We are out.

Speaker 1 (54:28):
Peace, stay dry, please don't hide your plane and drive
