At the Rams Seahawks game, that four year old whooped
my ass, but he thugged it out. At the end,
he was like, let's walk around and explore.

I was like, all right, bruh.

Cool, got him home safe in one piece, and they
didn't talk to his ass for three days. Man, children
are fun. Like then the fact that he was dancing
his ass off Warren g performing the halftime show and
the Rams almost choked that game away, But we're not

gonna talk about that. Dvante Adams got his thousand catch
on a touchdown catch h. He's truly one of the
greatest receivers to not have a ring yet it's like
it's Randy t o Davante. That's the list. Anyway, I'm done.

Uh yeah, And I got my haircut and it looks
fucking impeccable. Yeah. The Tim and Paul In concert was
pretty dope. It was good to get out with my
girl and hair friends. It's a good time. Our seats
were a little high, but it wasn't a bad view.
Stage was just very circular, so you got good sideline
of visibility. His vocals were good, the MIC's were good,

the sounds was all good. So it was a good time.
Ended up paying a taxi to get out of there
because I didn't want to wander around and it was
half raining, looking for an uber. Yeah, that was pretty
much the night. Yeah man, Outside of that, shout out

crazy ass year. Never thought me coaching eight year olds
would entail so much drama, and we lost coaches, we
lost players, parents bitching at us all the time, just
politics within the program, politics.

Within the snoop league. It was just a lot. But
ultimately the result was a playoff game. We played the
two seed.
Speaker 1 (49:43):
Harvard City Raiders out here in Lynnwood. Ended up losing
by two touchdowns. But the kids loved it.
Speaker 2 (49:51):
I mean, it was poor and raining, they were all
just having a ball.
Speaker 1 (49:55):
Our biggest kid basically took his undershirt off and we
just had his pads on, had his belly, was living
his best life.
Speaker 2 (50:04):
And honestly, I mean I was pretty proud about my
guys play.
Speaker 1 (50:06):
Like, yeah, they made mistakes, but for the most part,
they actually looked like, you know, they belonged and that's
the second best team in the league. And really, even
though we lost by two touchdowns, we really lost off
a punt return for a touchdown, which it was like
a thirty yard punt.
Speaker 2 (50:26):
It was like an eight yard punt.
Speaker 1 (50:28):
It was going to be a thirty yard punt, but
it bounced and it for some reason, it bounced right
into the guy's hand, even though it was fucking raining
as fuck and the ball was super wet. But somehow
the football guys were like, no, you know what, this
one is just gonna bounce perfectly into it. And then
also on that note, we had an interception before the

halftime where it was like a similar thing where this
dude like bobbled it three times and made the spectacular
catch and took it to the house. Minus those two plays,
I mean, we're right there, and that's the number two
team in our whole division and they only lost one
fucking game. So that just tells you the difference between
the one and the seventh seed, I mean, the two

in the seventh seed in that league, and just overall
and youth football and overall and football, I mean, whether
for the most part, you can look at a lot
of losses and pointing to you know, three or four
or five plays like that's really the difference, Just those
situational plays where hey, if we would have got this
(51:32):
second and eight and turned this into a third and
five or a third and three, you know, we're cooking
versus we got a sack and now or a bat
snap and it's third and twenty. You know, those sort
of things. Or you know, hey, misschfield goal, miss punt,
you know, broke broken coverage, broken play, quarterback, breaks, breaks
(51:54):
the pocket, just different things like that.
Speaker 2 (51:57):
And that's the case really for all different levels.
Speaker 1 (51:59):
Is like the line between winning and losing is very
fine because if you really break it down, each team
maybe gets fifty plays on offense fifty plays on defense.
So those five plays that I'm alluding to, I mean,
that's basically could be one play every other drive. That
(52:19):
could be ten percent of your total offense total defense.
And you could see how that could easily take you
from let's say you win, you win on thirty of
your fifty plays, like you should be able to win,
but if those five plays you lost, like that's going
to be the tipping point because that's ten to twenty
(52:43):
percent of the game. So yeah, regardless of what level
you're playing at, every rep, every play matters. I think
that's what it comes down to when you talk about football.
More important than all that, though, I think you can't
have a football game without having a team. That team's
not only just the players, but it's it's the admins,
(53:04):
it's the referees, it's the team moms, it's the boosters,
it's the you know, athletic directors. It's the admins, it's
the coaches, it's the staff, and it's really even you know,
the debt players, the bench players, the reserves, whatever you
want to call them.
Speaker 2 (53:21):
Like as much as coach coach Ward will.
Speaker 1 (53:24):
Say, oh, we only need eleven guys or we only
need twenty two guys or whatever that number is, the
truth is you.
Speaker 2 (53:31):
Can't have a football team. You can't have a football game.
Speaker 1 (53:34):
Without people, without community, and I enjoyed being a part
of that this year, even if it was a filled
with drama that I think the community that ended up
rising to the top, or I guess you could say
filtering through the bottom.
Speaker 2 (53:53):
Really was a good group.
Speaker 1 (53:54):
And and for as much you know, stress as it
brought me, I think it brought me a good amount
of joy especially.
