Speaker 1 (00:09):
What's up, good people?
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Touchdowns and Tangents TD's underscore tangents on Twitter and Instagram.
Touchdowns at tangents dot Com. Your Thursday night spot, in
this case, Friday Night for NFL takes topical tangents and
concise commentary for the culture without further ado impd Camero
and he is Kenneth Barry, not what I mean, but yeah, Kenny,
(00:35):
So what do we gotta talk about?
Speaker 1 (00:37):
Well, Marvin Harrison scored a touchdown.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
In the game finally this season.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
And the crazy thing when I was doing the game
notes this week, his father's He and his father have
the same exact stats in the first like the exact
number of games in their career. Harrison Marvin Harrison Senior
has less catches but at the same yards, same touchdowns,
the exact same stats. But uh, that's cool, It's kind
(01:13):
of wild. Yeah, he scut that touchdown and he cried
harder than Jada Pinking at the end and set it
off in the hotel room after she cut her after
she cut her braids. But yeah, so Cardinals lose. Kyler
Murray does what he always does, throws a couple of
touchdowns and then throw some picks. The Seahawks have a
(01:35):
top five offense and defense. They won on a game
winning field goal. They beat the Cardinals think twenty three
to twenty and I'm mistaken, you know, Thursday night football,
it is what it is.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
I mean, both teams looked like they were trying to
throw the ball up, but neither executing that well, at
least the first half that I really watched.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
I didn't watch any of the game. I just caught
the highlights and I was like, typical Arizona Cardinals game.
Their offense buthers their defense has to you know, pick
up the slack and the rest is history. But the
Seahawks are actually looking like they're coming together. I mean
it's crazy because at the beginning of the week, like
(02:22):
I think, last week, like NICKI minworry pretty much all
their three seventy five percent of their their defensive backfield
was doubtful to play with injuries last week. So the
fact that they, you know, managed on a quick turnaround,
there's like the Seahawks with Mike McDonald, they're building something.
(02:43):
They are definitely a team to watch, and I don't
think I think they're gonna be the team to take
this division away. From the Rams. The Rams don't even
really need to win the NFC West to be a
threat to make it to the Super Bowl, but especially
after how they lost to the Eagles where Jordan Davis
(03:06):
literally the biggest human being on the field though the
third biggest human being on the field aside from like
a guy like Lane Johnson and Jordan Mayelatta and they're
on the Eagles. So literally, Jordan Davis with Jayden Carter
right next to him, six foot six, three forty. I
guess I'm gonna say three forty. There's no way that
man's not three forty. And he runs a four to
(03:28):
six forty, which is already insane to be six six
three forty three fifty running a four six forty as
deems the tackle or I know he won a four
to seven eight. Ab he had four to seven eight.
My bad, he ran that fast, but yeah, he won
a four to seven eight, again, freakishly inhumane for a
man his size, blocks the kick and then proceeds to
(03:52):
score in Dominican two style, Like all the block kicks
that happened last week were crazy. So you're going to
this week? Young? You got kicker?
Speaker 3 (04:05):
Young?
Speaker 1 (04:05):
Hwayku he uh got cut by the Falcons because John
Parker Ramos took his took his trap, and now he's
the kicker for the New York Giants. And it finally happened.
Russell Wilson got benched and Jackson Darter is now the
starter for the New York Giants. Brian Daboll finally got
(04:26):
exactly what he wanted, the quarterback he wanted, the circumstance
he wanted. And I think somehow he's not gonna get
fired after the season because of it. He just bought
himself another two years and Rich, Yeah, I'm gonna save
the rest of that for the end of the show.
But yeah, Russell Wilson got benched.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Yeah, I mean, I felt like it was only a
matter of time, right. I just think it's crazy that
they didn't even give Jamis like a game at least, Bro.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
Jamis should be like, trade me to the bank, trade
me back to the Saints. Bro, do you see that
they're lacking the streets need me Jesus Christ, Trade them
to the Texans and make them push T J shroud
because it's looking bad over there. It's looking mighty bad.
But yeah, I mean, when you factor in just why
(05:21):
do you have Jamis there if you're because you can't
go back to Russ? So do you trade Russ or
do you trade Jamis? And it's not fair to Jamis
because he's just a perpetual side quarterback bitch and all
this for sure, He's like, actually, get I actually like
this person. Yeah, they cover several different needs in areas,
(05:45):
but I would never make them a main So why
are you still holding on to them? Beloved? That's all
I'm saying. If I'm Jamis, hey get me out of here,
bro before Kirk goes to a team that needs him
and gets the fucking about my dream James. If anything,
Jamis needs to be a backup in the league for
(06:05):
another ten years if they're gonna keep doing this to him,
and shout out to him for guineas Jersey retired by
Florida State and shout out to Florida State for losing
a double overtime to Virginia forty six to thirty eight.
Holy shit, you beat Bama and then and then got
your cheeks clapped in Charleston or Virginia whatever. Fuck Oh
no Aaron Berry knows the city.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
But yeah, anyway, all right, well college football, I.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
Feel like it's a different one. Am I thinking of
a different one or a different jingle?
Speaker 2 (06:41):
Sound same for ten years.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
I feel like I'm thinking of a different one. Whatever. Anyway,
So us there yet, go, there yet go.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
That's not college football, I know.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
I just like hearing that one. I just miss hearing
that sound. But yeah, so the USC clapped up Michigan
State and oh my god, a night game. I didn't
get home till like three am. That was fun. Yeah,
they won forty five to thirty one. Honestly, USC's pass
defense is what caused and then they fumbled like two
(07:18):
times and got a really bad penalty. But they should
have beat them. They should have dropped fifty on Michigan State.
Should have been like fifty to fourteen, honestly. But eight
and Childs California kid downy legend. Yeah, we don't talk
about this enough, but some of the best quarterbacks in
college football across the country are all from California and
(07:38):
they're all coming out of like Long Beach. But you know,
one day we'll have a separate conversation about that, especially
with you know, all the kids you be out here
coaching Pete. We're gonna have to we need to reassess
the conversation on like, yeah, Cali really has the best everything.
Texas just has more money. Texas. No, Texas has almost
(08:01):
as much money as Cali. Texas has so much flat
land that's just far and spread and wide. So it's
gonna be hard. It's gonna take like ten more years
to gentrify Texas, whereas in La everything's right up on everybody.
So Texas got the money and the land and the
(08:22):
oil and just flatland and America, and it's just everything's
further apart. That's why you can have one hundred thousand
seat high school stadiums and towns that aren't one hundred
thousand mass capacity. You want to talk about shit, you
should be crashing out on forget so far and all
the kids that play there. No, let's talk about one
(08:42):
hundred and fifty thousand seat stadiums in Texas high school stadiums.
But anyway, so yeah, back to what I was saying
about the USC Michigan State. My Ava's been playing great.
His numbers are actually identical to Kaylebe the year he
won the Heisman, and it really showed like Lincoln really
(09:04):
is the QB whishper because He's eliminated a lot of
Jade's flaws. James worked really hard him. Makayle Lemon Jacobe
Lane has been hurt with Ankel. I think he's gonna
be playing back this week on the road. Have a
nine am kickoff against Illinois, which is crazy because how
(09:26):
do you go.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
From the Just for a reference, my brother in Divinity,
the biggest high school stadium in Texas is only twenty thousand.
Speaker 1 (09:37):
Serious saying high school high school football. Yeah, so where
are all these mega stadiums coming from? Because they exist
in Georgia.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
I'm thinking the one in Georgia, twenty thousand is not small.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
There are towns that aren't that big.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
Twenty thousand is still like Stable Center. Twenty thousand is
like Pimo, twenty thousand is like stub Hub. No, it's
not close to so far so far as like one
hundred so far.
Speaker 1 (10:04):
Yeah, you take a hundred thousand people in there, but
like it feels the same when you look at the overhead.
I'm thinking of the one in you for Georgia. That's why. Yeah, anyway,
some of these states sent like your your state, your education?
What what what? What? What rank are you guys in education?
Oh you say twenty anything. Why the fuck do you
(10:25):
have this bigger.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
Stadium for the one in Georgia only has ten thousand seats,
my brother, Christ goddamn, so sixty two million though, but
yeah it's.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
Oh, I know it was one hundred you know, Okay,
I got the number. Some of them are one hundred
thousand dollars. No, I mean one hundred million. Christ, listen,
let me just start off all this up. I've been
looking at the numbers all week. All right, So some
of these stadiums are like millions of dollars. There we go.
(10:57):
Some of these stadiums might be one hundred million dollars.
There we go. So one hundred million dollars for a
high school football stadium, and your reading level in your
state is in like the twenties. Fuck out of here,
and I mean, like really, thirties. I was just being
nice when I said twenties. But yeah, so anyway, scrap
all that. That's another rant for another day. USC's four
(11:22):
to zero. Illinois got their shit clapped by Indiana, like
sixty three to ten. Nobody expected that, except like, it's Indiana.
I love their head coach man from he came from
James Madison and he's been whooping people's asses on the
Big Ten. You gotta respect Kurt Signetti like you just
have to. And I'm the first person to get him
(11:44):
to discuss on national television. Just want that to go
down in the history books. First time, first press conference
in Big Ten. He's just dropping dropping vulgarities on national television.
That was a fun day. Anytime I interview him, I
just know he's gonna he's gonna say some shit. He's
(12:07):
always a good interview like him in Belamo. They're great
coaches to talk to. But anyway, so that kind of
messes up things for USC because this is a trap game. Now,
Illinois was undefeated and they were like a top ten
team or I think top twelve. Now Illinois is like,
let's ruin the USC season. USC could be undefeated, go
(12:31):
five and oh that's a great quality win because you
had a late night game against Michigan State. And now
this next week you have a nine am kickoff, which
is fucking sickening, Like, who a nine am kickoff at
Illinois's crazy work? I mean, yeah, it's technically what noon
(12:52):
kickoff for us?
Speaker 2 (12:56):
No, that's ahead?
Speaker 1 (12:57):
Oh shit, you bare No I slept today.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
That's why I know, maybe that's why you're Doug barely
slept today, crazy word. But now that yes, Chicago's two
hours ahead.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
Okay, ye got it all right? So they almost had three.
They actually had like about two hundred and like ninety
yards rushing again to Michigan State, and apparently Michigan State's
the top ten defense. I'm like, you could have fooled
me because ship they USC actually is like I think,
the number one offense in the country right now, number
(13:34):
one rushing offense. They leave the country in sacks. They
have more sacks now than they did all last season
sixteen sacks by the way, four games. Their D line,
the D line is is playing in their backfield like
Anti Lynn is definitely gonna be a head coach one day,
(13:59):
and all he has to do is just points to
what he's done for USC's defense because everybody's finally making
plays at the same time in that front seven. It's
just they have they're moving. They have Kamari Ramsey in
the slot because let's be real, they have injuries that corner,
and DJ Harvey has not played great at all this season.
He's been getting milk toasted just toasted, toasted. He gave
(14:25):
him a seventy five yard touchdown at the end of
the game against Michigan State last week. That was no
Brado and really us He's biggest defense, us He's biggest
weakness is and their only weakness honestly is their past defense.
They just can't get off. They can't stop teams from
completing passes. They're not really getting interceptions. It's like the
(14:48):
inverse of Lincoln's first year where they just kept getting
picks and kept getting turnovers. And you know, but when
it comes down to it, I still think, guess he
gets to win. I just like Waymon Jordan is looking like,
you know, baby Genty out here already has like four
(15:11):
hundred yards rushing and like averages like seven yards of carry.
Eli Sanders can take one to the house. They still
have King Miller back there. They haven't even fully used.
So USC's run game has been going insane. Their tight
ends already have I think five receiving touchdowns on the year,
which is way more than they had last year, which
was none. Their offense is finally gelling just their past
(15:36):
defensive trash. But Camari Ramsey, I mean, you might as
well just play him at corner at this rate, they
kind of are. They got him playing in the slot
instead of just full time safety, because what's the point
of having two great safeties and you only got one
good corner, Like you're just gonna get picked on. So
they have to use like they've used him pretty much
(15:58):
the same way they use Taylor Bullock the year he
became All American before he got drafted, where hey, you're
gonna just take away are You're gonna you're gonna have
our toughest assignment in the past game pretty much because
we can't afford to have this league. That's why he's
not popping up on stat sheets like he was last
(16:20):
year when he was knocking people out and you know,
occasionally get the pick. But uh, their old line has
been amazing as far as just setting the tone and
then the run game, so and they're they're really killing
it in between the tackles. That's the thing. Like the
center guard. The biggest question mark was that center and
guard can kill it O'Connell to walk on, actually step
(16:42):
up and do what he's supposed to do. But yeah,
so I'm gonna go ahead and just play these postgame
interviews real quick Coach with the way they d line
and performed because most of the game they had like
(17:02):
almost under fifty yards rushing. How do you do you
feel like the vision that you had coming in? Do
you feel like they've exceeded it? Especially the defensive line.
Speaker 3 (17:10):
And I got high standard for our D line, so
I don't. I wouldn't say they've excceated it, but I
would also say I'm really excited about the way we're
playing and just we're impacting the game. Like you just
every game we've played up to this point. You feel
the presence of our defensive line, you feel our depth,
and it's fun seeing those guys continue just to grow
and get better because which you still have so many
(17:31):
like kind of new young faces that are that are
contributors along with some older guys like Dead that have
been here. And the group's got a great vibe about them.
They're they're hungry, and I think they're gonna keep getting
better better.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
Yeah, Coach with the way, Lincoln with the way obviously
Big Timmy. Today you talked about how you Donna want
to Kamari to be more vocal as a leader. How
has his role in doing that kind of helped the
linebackers up to speed.
Speaker 3 (18:00):
He's he's he's involved in a lot of communication and
our defense. I think he's done a really good job
with it. And he's had to play, you know, some
different positions this year because that's what's been best for
the team and best for our defense. So his Unselfinness
has definitely showed up, and uh it's not He's definitely
steadying force for us and we're gonna need to continue
to have him be a great leader for us. And
then lastly, I want to say, you know, I know
(18:20):
Lake kick and all that, but but but the Trojan,
our fan base, Trojan Ace like they showed up tonight.
I mean that that's that's what it was. It was
a really really electric atmosphere in there. I appreciate everybody
that came out. I mean, that's what the damn Coliseum
has got to be like, man, and it's got to
be a freaking better when.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
We get back here in a couple of weeks. We'll
see in the final.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
Yeah so, and it's ironic because.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
Uh so, Lakers beat the SuperSonics exactly.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
Uh So, Sue Cravens was talking about how yeah usually
had me to do on the same thing, and it
hurt my draft stock. Hopefully it doesn't hurt Kabari Ramsey's
draft stock because he was seen as like potential first
round pick coming into the year. I'm gonna play uh
brillant Shelby's came last Sumer year. You talked about how
(19:22):
you know you love it when the D line gets
have for guys and that they've made some strides. So
how do you feel like they did tonight overall?
Speaker 4 (19:29):
And I feel like it made some pretty good strides overall,
though I know there's a lot of proof on on
our side of the end, but overall, man, I mean
just being able to go out there and go order
to get a win to the D line E per
usual is it's a really good feeling that had kind
of stacked those trying to stack those games back to
back to back. Yeah, credit all a different area for the.
Speaker 1 (19:47):
D line On the run defense, you guys pretty much
help them for like thirty rest of yards most of
the game up until, like you know, they went on
the run. Was that something that was like heavily pre
starting this.
Speaker 4 (19:56):
Week stopping the run, being able to pass the rush
of to stop the running beginning with but definitely going
into this game, we want to stop the run for short.
So yeah, that was a big emphasis for this week,
trying to hold them underneath the certain amount of yardists.
Speaker 5 (20:09):
But there was a couple of targeting calls the game.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
Obviously it's a defender, you know, you guys can used
to be on the receiving end of that. So how
do you know you kind of approached that during the week,
you know, just how to go about you avoiding targeting?
Speaker 4 (20:29):
How I feel is kind of just be caught with
your with your head while you're hitting people, you know,
trying to go more shoulder. You know, it's it's a
hard thing to talk about, especially like in today's age
of the game, but yeah, I think it's just trying
to be for cautious kind of how you hit somebody, uh,
because you want to lay the boom, but like sometimes
(20:50):
it's probably better just to get them down.
Speaker 5 (20:54):
You guys had two hundred and eighty four rushing yards tonight.
Speaker 1 (20:59):
When especially keeping you know them on the field that long,
what does it do for your defense, especially getting those
longer tender breaks.
Speaker 4 (21:06):
Man, the longing breaks, everything is our ability to get
our breath back and you know, seeing them run the
ball like that and seeing them do that compared to
what you're doing practice all the time.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
I mean, man, that's everything.
Speaker 4 (21:16):
That's a big props to the offense, big props of
the line. I mean they got there doing work, working
and showing on the field.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
So I'm very appreciated that.
Speaker 1 (21:24):
Two scores and gaming all right. So mhmm, Yeah, it's
gonna be interesting to see how many of these guys
might end up potentially with ten sacks this year because
brain Shelby I think has like three or four, fal
Taine has like I think two or three. They got,
(21:44):
they got some guys who are you know, doing something,
and then their five star defensive end who's pretty much
like a Rashaan Gary clone, Like he's he's starting to
get some action in. So it's it's gonna be interesting
to see. And but here's the thing. Here's the kicker.
Illinois like leads the country in like sacks. Even though
(22:04):
I think they've given up like sixteen sacks in four games.
They have not protected nus Meyer at all. And yeah,
they had some guys drafted, but you don't want that
USC defensive line mowing you down all game because if
you can't run and they're getting you off the field.
USC's gonna keep running and passing the ball. Mkyle Lemon,
(22:27):
you know another big game, could be a potential first
round pick. Great speed, great vision, because he's right before
got to the end zone, he almost uh turned you know,
like the last five yards before you got to the
en zone, like he just you could see him turn
into a returner and with that kind of vision and
(22:47):
run after the catch like he's gonna be dangerous. And
then you get uh Jacobe Lane coming back. I honestly
think they could probably beat Illinois by probably like a
good ten fifteen points. We'll see if they come to spread.
But now onto the rest of college football, because you know,
targeting has been an issue. It was an issue at
(23:10):
the LSU game. It was an issue at USC because
uh Michigan State linebacker got popped for targeting. I gotta pay.
I'm gonna play my Big Ten officiating interview next week.
It's about that time. But yeah, that's it's still kind
of like to miss a whole half. It's really starting
(23:33):
to affect some teams. I feel like the targeting isn't
as much like they've the referees have definitely gotten better
at the targeting rules this season, but there are some
regregious times where you know they're missing it. But as
far as like the top ten goes Texas, everybody was
(23:56):
given arch Manning crap because he did a little fake
flex on Sam Houston State, which yeah, you don't really
get points for that. They're Sam Houston State, Penn State, Oregon,
the wide out. That's game's gonna go crazy, like there's
a lot of huge games tomorrow. For some reason, del
(24:16):
Royola won't stop trying to act like Patrick Mahomes. It's
really creepy. It's really kind of creepy, And uh yeah,
I think that's pretty much it for right now.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
You don't want to talk about the schedule coming up.
Speaker 1 (24:34):
I mean, sure this is gonna be it's gonna be
a loaded You.
Speaker 2 (24:41):
Got the Georgia game, someone else to.
Speaker 1 (24:47):
I think he plays Northwest this week and that's honestly
probably gonna be the last chance I to win all season.
But that's just.
Speaker 2 (24:52):
Mere talking about that.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
I know, I just have to bring that up.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
Yeah, you got lsu O miss obviously all the drama
with Lane Kiffing going on.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
Because his daughter is dating the linebacker for LSU, who
has to sit out I think.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
The first time and somebody else exposed Lane Kiff if
you being in his DMS too, I have.
Speaker 1 (25:17):
Some some white chick who's like a social media whatever.
Speaker 2 (25:22):
Yeah, so you're liking that game.
Speaker 1 (25:25):
I gotta go one this year.
Speaker 2 (25:27):
Indiana Iowa.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
It's gonna be Indiana bout a lot. Iowa can't score
thirty points.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
Oregon and Penn State.
Speaker 1 (25:38):
I want to say Oregon over Penn State because I
just don't believe.
Speaker 2 (25:41):
I don't believe. Yeah, I just don't believe. In the middle,
and then Georgia Bama coin flip man, I guess.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
Also, Houston and Oregon State are going at it right now.
It's tied up twenty four to twenty four, like under
three minutes left in the game, and Houston's three and
oh and the Oregon State's own four. Also, Kay Durham,
the incredible running back for LSU, is doubtful versus all.
Speaker 2 (26:17):
You didn't even talk about Gundy getting fired.
Speaker 1 (26:20):
I was gonna say that for the end of the show.
I mean, it's college football. But yeah, I'm a man,
I'm forty, But yeah, they fired him. They actually offered
they offered him to like, Hey, you can just finish
out the rest of the season. Gundy was like, nah,
I'm good. Gave that man his money and fired his ass.
(26:45):
I think Jim Knowles, who came from Oklahoma State, he
could be an interesting successor. He's the Penn State defensive coordinator.
And I'm just saying Oklahoma State got bread t boom
pickings money like they got money money, they got oil money.
But speaking of Oklahoma, the state of Oklahoma. John Lettier,
(27:07):
the quarterback, got hurt. He had surgery on his hand
or thumb, and he's gonna be out like a month.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
Okay, who cares. He's in the hes race, all right,
talk about that.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
Then he's like he's gonna be out a month.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
So he's outdone for the Heisman.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
He's definitely down for the Heisman. Ain't no way, bro,
especially if they're going defeated. Auburn's still pissed because of
an illegal touchdown that happened, and then admitted that it
shouldn't have been a touchdown because the player faked like
he was gonna come off the field but then stayed
(27:49):
in the field of play. Yeah, they're pissed about it.
He feigned like he was gonna come off. Then he
remained on the field yield undetected for a twenty four
yard touchdown, which is kind of crazy because like, how
do you miss that as a referee. Also for Indiana
(28:15):
safety Lewis Moore got granted. Uh he fouled a lawsuit
in early August challenging n a five year eligibility rule
because he spent three years at a junior college in
Texas and he said, technically that shouldn't count it's eligibility.
So pretty much antil the judge rule that the n
(28:36):
eligibility rule violated the Taxi Anti Trust Act because he
was at a junior college in Texas. So he's twenty
four years old. By the way, he spent three years
at a JUCO and he's twenty four and now he
gets to play the rest of the season pretty much, right, Yeah,
So everybody who gets their eligibility back because they're certain
(29:00):
JUCO years shouldn't count, as you know, your eligibility years
because it's a JUCO. Which it's kind of wild because
he's twenty four.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
All right, Uh, touchdown or turnover? You got one you
want to start with or you want me to start.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
You go for it.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
All right? So first one touchdown and turnover. I don't
have a lot, so I'm kind of reaching here. But
touchdown and turnover. Khalil Herbert signed with the Seahawks. Who
can kick off?
Speaker 1 (29:46):
Brother? Brother, he's gonna be third.
Speaker 2 (29:48):
That's the segment. Brother. We look at transactions and give
touchdowns or turnovers. I follow the rules of the segment.
I don't just ramble off fucking random ship because I
ran out of time.
Speaker 1 (29:57):
It's a turnover because it's like the miss that.
Speaker 2 (30:00):
Three big the three big things that you should have
talked about.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
Third string.
Speaker 2 (30:09):
At least he's more third string. He's like he's a
practice body. But wasn't he a second round pick like
four years ago? I don't think he was the second
round pick. Do you think something like that he had
that kind of value? They never really used him. I
was hopeful that he'd be decent in Cincinnati last year,
but I mean in Cincinnati, we know how they treat
(30:33):
running backs. Yeah all right, Uh again, I don't have
a lot here, So this.
Speaker 1 (30:44):
Is where we're at. Is that a touchdown or turnover?
Speaker 2 (30:51):
Hold on h.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (30:57):
See I got Bradley. That's even worse.
Speaker 1 (31:02):
Just stop, I have one from that one is a turnover.
I mean at this point, it's a touchdown for him,
because everybody on the Niners is heard Nick Bosa towards
a c l.
Speaker 2 (31:13):
The hard care. It's not that hard, bro, it's not
that hard. Brother, brother in divinity.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
First off, it's my brother in Christ, my human and
my fellow, my fellow man in Divinity, I fellow human
and Jesus Christ. Anyways, brother, So anybody who gets signed
by the Niners is a touchdown because their whole roster
is hurt. It's over the dreams dead. You have no
past rush outside of Nick Bosa. You know, some people
(31:45):
call him over rated, which is kind of wild, Like,
I mean, yeah, he's mad, but it's like, all right, bro,
you want to block Nick Bosa? All right? So yeah,
I got one.
Speaker 2 (31:57):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (32:00):
The Falcons offensive coordinator, I think Zach Robinson, he uh
came out of the booth and now he's gonna be
on the sideline calling plays.
Speaker 2 (32:12):
I guess it's a touchdown. I don't know, you can't
get much worse than how the office has been in
the past few weeks. Touchdown. I don't know what being
being on the sideline is gonna help, but.
Speaker 1 (32:22):
I got thirty zer old by the Panthers exactly. Just
keep that in mind.
Speaker 2 (32:29):
I anything else.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
M you know, what, did Russell Wilson deserve to get benched? Like?
Speaker 2 (32:41):
Is it really?
Speaker 1 (32:42):
Is it really a touchdown star Jackson dark? Because if
you had such a great preseason, don't you think you
probably should have started him right out the gate? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (32:50):
I mean I think it's still a turnover because yeah,
you should have started Jamis. But whatever doesn't matter either way.
They're the fucking Giants. I don't know, all right, take
your tangent first one up. This week in the press conference,
Jim Harbon compared Derwin James to Junior Seha in terms
(33:14):
of impact with the Chargers.
Speaker 1 (33:16):
You gotta take or a tangent on that. Honestly, Yeah,
that's fair because jun to say I could do everything,
and honestly, Derwin James is just a fast ass linebacker
who's really playing safety. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:28):
I think the great thing about both those players is
they're one of the few players where it's like you
come in as this highly touted college player and then
you just immediately have an impact, and then you just
continue to have an impact, like both in the community
and on the field. So I think that's where the
(33:49):
comparison really gets it to me, is like I had
a great college career, came in immediately, was as advertised,
minus the injuries, of course, but you can't really hold
out against him plays for the Chargers. So yeah, man,
I thought that was an interesting take, all right. Also
(34:11):
this week on the speculation rumor wire, talk about moving
Rashawn Slater to guard when he comes back from injury,
take or a tangent.
Speaker 1 (34:21):
I wonder who said that right when? Right when he
got hurt? Yeah, just put him right next to Joe.
Speaker 2 (34:29):
I've been saying. I've been saying that since last year
when you drafted Joe.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
Why would you move If he's an all pro left tackle?
You would just move him the right.
Speaker 2 (34:39):
You move him to guard, you moveing the right tackle.
He's six', four he can play. Guard everybody he should
have been playing guard his whole. Career everybody who six
four can play right. Tackle, Though, yeah it's all that,
good all pearls a, rookie wasn't He look at his?
Body his body's broken. Down literally every other, year something
(35:00):
catastrophic tears in his. Body, Bro he's playing outside of
his his what he should be. Playing he should be playing.
Guard there's no reason why he can't play. Guard he's,
physical he's, quick he's, smart he knows the, angles and
coming in into the, draft coming out of the, draft
he was one of those players that you talked about.
Speaker 1 (35:22):
That could play off four. Positions, yeah Like Zach. Martin
ye all, RIGHT i, mean, uh you, KNOW i got one.
Turn the Turf monster wins. Again Nowgie harris popped his
achilles on, turf so you're the grass his whole life never.
(35:48):
Popped he's an all time leading rusher In alabama football,
history never popped in achilles.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
Before i'm not giving him bail on, that only because
he's been hurt every. Year but he pops every year
in the league he's been. There it was a non
contact and it was he was having like the best
game he's had like eight two. Years he got, Hurt
but that's just how it.
Speaker 1 (36:06):
Goes so it's the turf monster to blame because it's
just carpet on top of.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
Concrete, Yeah i'm not giving him. That, No i'm not
giving that to.
Speaker 1 (36:16):
Him reggie gets, it but he doesn't get.
Speaker 2 (36:17):
IT i MEAN i didn't even give it To. Reggie
reggie sued them and, won though he sued for the
fucking slick at the side of the that's what Towards. Achilles,
yeah but that's a whole different. Thing that was there.
Strips there was a fucking strip of non turf on
the side of the field that he slipped on as
(36:38):
he was running through the end.
Speaker 1 (36:39):
Zone he was trying to slow.
Speaker 2 (36:40):
Down, yeah that's what he shoot on. That that's totally
that's what causes. Injury, though that's totally. Different that's not
what we're talking about.
Speaker 1 (36:46):
Here though the turf monster gets. Everybody it wasn't really
determined HOW i.
Speaker 2 (36:51):
MEAN i agree that we probably shouldn't be playing on,
turf and turf probably impacts, injuries and there's been data
research about. That but What i'm saying Is i'm not
giving that To nagiers fair because he played one like
he's acting like he's never played in turf. Before bro
it was one. Game he played one game at So.
(37:12):
Far that was his first game at So.
Speaker 1 (37:14):
Far. Damn, Really, yeah.
Speaker 2 (37:16):
The chargers haven't had no home. Games they had that first,
game and, right.
Speaker 1 (37:23):
All, RIGHT i go for The MARCUS marioda revenge tour
continues Because Jaye daniels is out and he will Be
Marcus mariola will be playing Against.
Speaker 2 (37:33):
Really this really shouldn't be to take your. Tangent this
should be in your rant because this is this is
a fuck just by how you you crazy, question take your.
Speaker 1 (37:41):
Tangent mariota starts a second game Because Jane daniels is.
Speaker 2 (37:48):
OUT i, MEAN i GUESS i. DON'T i, mean why?
Not who else you gonna? Start daniels can't go who
else is gonna? Start and he Knows quinn From? Atlanta,
right so there's camaraderie.
Speaker 1 (38:04):
THERE i, mean but Like Kirk cousins is a, backup
like this is a crazy soap opera of a.
Speaker 2 (38:11):
Game Kirk cousins on The falcons to be played for the.
Commanders mm, hmm, YEAH i mean he's not really gonna
play so. Exactly it's not that much of a. Storyline but,
YEAH i hear, you.
Speaker 1 (38:25):
All?
Speaker 2 (38:25):
Right any other ones that you're burning? On are you
Sure i'm not burning on?
Speaker 1 (38:30):
Anything? Sure all? Right?
Speaker 2 (38:34):
Uh take or? TANGENT i GUESS i could do these
in fair Faid.
Speaker 1 (38:43):
Jesus christ brother be, decisive all, Right, well let's go
on blocking his own blocking brother.
Speaker 2 (38:53):
Let's go to Fair. Faide, actually, NO i. Lied here's
the one THAT i was looking. For take her. Tangent
Aaron donald was getting his jersey.
Speaker 1 (39:02):
Retired that should have been, happened crazy seven should have been.
Happened happened while he was in the. League what are
you waiting?
Speaker 5 (39:09):
For?
Speaker 2 (39:11):
Yeah what else pitt got going?
Speaker 1 (39:16):
On Elijah canty wore his number two before he got the.
Speaker 2 (39:19):
League What but that's What i'm. Saying what else is
going on In pittsburgh to be excited? About look either
halfway decent in the A. SEC i mean they're always halfway.
Decent they're just never. Great they're always good for six seven,
wins eight. Wins you think a team In pittsburgh of,
mediocrity even.
Speaker 1 (39:39):
Think a team that's literally in Fucking, pittsburgh that literally
practices The steelers facility would be A big ten. Team but, No.
Speaker 2 (39:49):
All right, now Faira Fay costco's no longer selling, xboxes
Fair faid the.
Speaker 1 (40:01):
Fuck they were selling xboxes to begin?
Speaker 2 (40:03):
With, yeah they've always sold, xboxes they Sold xbox since
for twenty two. Years like, dirt, yes this would be the,
FIRST i mean not dirt, cheap but she like one
hundred bucks.
Speaker 1 (40:12):
Off, yeah like it's pretty good.
Speaker 2 (40:14):
With two controllers and two games for like whatever the
regular the prices of the regular, one damn.
Speaker 1 (40:22):
Ah but, yeah, man fair. FAIT i mean it's. Fair
business has gotta make, cuts and from What i've, Heard
costco takes pretty good care of its, employees you, know
other than the fact THAT i can't go to the
fucking Food. CORDOS i have a membership, apparently mm, hmm because,
like AM i really gonna use this membership just to
go To it's Like costco's like it's like they're the
(40:46):
opposite of planned obso. Lessons but, yeah it kind of helps.
You it's, like if you're gonna invest in, this you're
gonna want to use. It but you AND i both
know you're not gonna shop At costco all the.
Speaker 2 (40:57):
TIME i, mean my dad's To costco every. Week he
literally buys everything.
Speaker 1 (41:02):
There that's your, dad, Bro he's a girl master at
the stage of his. Life what else is he gonna?
Speaker 2 (41:07):
Do but, like everything he needs is At costco pretty.
Much if it's not At, costco he don't need unless
it's At sam's where we're AT Tj. Max, Yeah i'm
not AS tj max as you are for literally no
reason other than random, charge other than random, slippers random
body washers and. COLOGNS i, mean you get all that
(41:28):
ship out Of ross Or marshalls's all the same.
Speaker 1 (41:30):
Ship, NO tj max like has their own line of.
Bullshit that's the funny.
Speaker 2 (41:37):
Part all, Right moving, on and no cheat.
Speaker 1 (41:41):
Cheat PRICES tj max. Sponsors everybody heard that why would
you lean into the? Bike all?
Speaker 2 (41:53):
Right first one, is, well, okay you didn't have to say.
Anything you could have just. Left that was a.
Speaker 1 (42:04):
Joke that was.
Speaker 2 (42:05):
Worse thanks for fascinating. Me that's.
Speaker 1 (42:08):
Crazy i'm. JOKING i didn't say that's.
Speaker 2 (42:12):
Crazy so now you're a. Liar back my own, joke.
Speaker 1 (42:17):
My own.
Speaker 2 (42:18):
Joke to get out of, it you stopped making back door.
References is? Crazy?
Speaker 1 (42:24):
Huh all?
Speaker 3 (42:24):
Right?
Speaker 1 (42:25):
Whatever all.
Speaker 2 (42:27):
Right the dude who allegedly targeted THE nfl, headquarters, uh
turns out he HAS. Ct So i'm not gonna say
it's it's fair to do what he. Did but the
bigger point and bigger, MESSAGE i, mean there's something, There,
(42:47):
LIKE i don't think you can run around blaming everything
you do ON ct if it's as common as it's
looking to be with anyone who's played football pretty much
at any level like that just can't be your instant.
Plea and also we need to be looking into how
(43:08):
to prevent head injuries and youth football and try to
mitigate something like this from happening, again because whether it
was ct or, not like still still a tragedy that
didn't need to. Happen there's an innocent lives loss that
didn't need to, happen regardless of if it WAS cte or.
Speaker 1 (43:28):
Not so that's WHAT i have to say about, that all.
Speaker 2 (43:33):
Right and that's one another One kenny probably can't talk,
about but the forty Nine ers And jaguars signed stealing,
situation so pretty much the forty Nine ers coach was
bitching about the Fucking jaguars basically knowing their. Signs the head,
(43:54):
Coach Kyle shanahan chimed it on. It but basically What
i've been reading is there's nothing really illegal about. It
they just have a way they just kind of figured
out their, Signs like they didn't do anything malicious to
steal their, signs they just kind of figured it. Out so,
(44:17):
yeah pretty much it's a lot to be said about,
nothing but they're basically saying it's a whole. System these
guys just know how to steal people's. Signs, okay better, signs,
Brother and who cares someone knows your. Sign it doesn't
matter execute someone knows you're In cover three Or cover.
(44:41):
One it doesn't really make a. Difference like their quarterbacks
should be able to read and know what kind of
coverage you're. In, anyways bro talking about THE, nfl all,
right and then the last. ONE i guess yes for,
me uh With channon Nu wilsu had two sacks On thursday,
(45:07):
night shouted out The seahawks for never giving up on
him and sticking with. Him fair fait.
Speaker 1 (45:16):
Fair BECAUSE i mean usually they don't injured pass.
Speaker 2 (45:19):
Rushers so.
Speaker 1 (45:23):
It's look to, him you, know because he had the knee,
injury soft. Tissue knee injuries are pain in the, ass
so it's good at. That you, know he's a veteran
center piece on that.
Speaker 2 (45:37):
Defense, YEAH i guess for, me it's kind OF i don't,
Know it's like one of those things where it's like
we didn't LIKE i get, it so like it's like
thanking your wife for never leaving. You it's, like isn't
(46:01):
that what she's supposed to, Do, like isn't that why
she's paying in this? Case isn't this why The seahawks
are paying? Money isn't that why they kicked you, around
didn't get, you resigned you even when you were, injured
haven't drafted any real pass rushers to replace. Him So,
yeah for, me just the performative nature of it was
(46:24):
just kind of, LIKE i get, it, bro it's a great.
MOMENT i was really happy for, him like to get
those two Sacks NATIONAL, Tv.
Speaker 1 (46:32):
LIKE i was really really happy for.
Speaker 2 (46:34):
Him BUT i don't feel like you have to thank
your employer for employing. You you have a job and
you did it excellent, well and credit to. You you
deserve the credit for. That BUT i don't feel like
you should have to give credit to them that for
putting you in a position that they're supposed to put you.
(46:54):
In you get What i'm. Saying, yeah it's like we
could infer that there was issues in your own, marriage
but you don't really have to go out there and say, it,
like if y'all's, good then y'all's.
Speaker 1 (47:09):
Good sometimes just the acknowledgement is what it's.
Speaker 2 (47:16):
Like, YEAH i know hear. THAT i, mean LIKE i,
said it's his, Moment so if he wants to share
that with the, team, like that's stuff up to. Him but,
RETIRING i just feel like he. Didn't he didn't need,
to you know. That that's just the WAY i took,
it all, right fair fait can bind him caught out
The rams for allegedly pumping and fake crowd noise on
(47:38):
the on one of his.
Speaker 1 (47:39):
Kicks can't bind. Him we, moved say The colts.
Speaker 2 (47:46):
Safety, safety especially The, colts all, right, yeah. SAFETY i
thought it was a. Kicker some one of the kickers
was crying about.
Speaker 1 (47:54):
It wouldn't be can't buy him because he's, yeah, YEAH.
Speaker 2 (47:57):
I know that, Now But i'm just SAYING i SAW
i saw a. Kid, no it was cambind them, complaining
but somebody else was complaining about them doing it on a.
Speaker 1 (48:07):
KICK i don't even know who The colts kicker. Is
it's not Reberth On sanchez.
Speaker 2 (48:13):
Anymore, anyways it doesn't, matter fair. Feit The rams pumping
in music, PEOPLE i, mean not even, music crowd.
Speaker 1 (48:20):
Noise people pumping crowd noise all the. Time it's just
kind of an accepted. Fact it's Just dion talked about.
It Pay deon's, like if you're gonna get on this
team for pumping crowd, noise let's get On Peyton manning
and The, colts because lord knows they've been pumping crowd
noise NOT Rca dome for. Years, indiana don't get that.
Loud this is a clan.
Speaker 2 (48:39):
Rally, well SO i was just reading it and pretty
much there's no violation against.
Speaker 1 (48:44):
It.
Speaker 2 (48:44):
Exactly all thirty two teams can do. It anybody can do.
It you've always been able to do. It sound manipulation is.
Speaker 1 (48:51):
Fair it just can't be so loud where it's, like, shit,
well now your offense can't hear because.
Speaker 2 (48:57):
It's part of the.
Speaker 1 (48:58):
Environment because if you if it's too loud and ruptures
people's ear, drums then you're going to. Jail then you're
gonna lose your ability to do. That so he may be,
loud it's not too, loud but, uh technically it's. Fair
it's a competitive. Advantage that's what a home game is.
For you gotta you know you're going on the. Road
(49:18):
you just know you're walking into a. JUMPING i got one,
though all, Right So Tank davis said after his fight
With Jake Paul he's done with boxing fucking. Trash i'm
tired Of i'm tired of the, ship all of. It
that's WHY i, said like WHEN i said That canelo
(49:40):
And Terance crawford was gonna be the last great prize
fight in, boxing it really, is because you ain't we
ain't excited to see nobody. Else And Jake paul And
Tank davis is gonna be an officially sanctioned, Fight And
Tank davis was pissed because at the way and he
thought it was gonna be you, know one hundred and
ninety Pounlemic Jake paul six to, One Tank davis is
(50:05):
five to, five so that one hundred and ninety pounds,
threshold like that's kind of a big, deal especially For Jake.
Paul lord knows he trying.
Speaker 2 (50:17):
To, YEAH i think my old thing is This dude's finally.
Legitimate so now it's kind of convenient for you to just, say,
yeah fuck, This i'm gonna take my ball and go.
Home it's, like, well isn't this what you were working
for to be, legitimate to be accepted by The cords,
world chance to have, Respect that's What i'm. Saying so
that's What i'm saying he's closer to the end of
his career than the. Start, no but you Said paul
(50:39):
is going to be. Done no, no, no, no Take davis
said he's Gonna oh you Said paul you started with
you SHOULD.
Speaker 1 (50:46):
I should have put a comment. There, yeah so after this.
Speaker 2 (50:49):
Take Paul tak is, old, Right, yeah he's. Older he's
five five.
Speaker 1 (50:53):
Too so it's like once once like a young it's
always somebody a dude under five seven who wants to
fight everybody who always kind of wants to stop fighting
around his mid. Thirties finally really. Interesting but, yeah so
when it comes To Tank, DAVIS i, mean he's had
to do with a lot of shit WITH pbc and
just getting opponents and just that whole like he's been
(51:16):
Ducking Shaker stevens and all that kind of shit allegedly
that's been going. Around it's just a, lot AND i
can see why he's justified and wanted to be done
with boxing because the whole hym And Ryan, garcia Tfi
My lopez, shit like they always just want to put
A mexican in front Of Tank davis and then it
always becomes becomes a racial fucking menstal show at all
(51:38):
the press conferences where they both got to be racist
to each, other and it's, Like, bro a black dude
and A mexican dude can fight and we can just enjoy.
It you don't have to always make it racist because
you want to invigorate you, know two fan.
Speaker 2 (51:51):
Bases, yeah But mexican's are, Racist so that's part.
Speaker 1 (51:54):
Of the reason. Why, yeah but it's like.
Speaker 2 (51:56):
Annoying THAT'S i, mean that's part of the reason why
is because they want to invigorate that fan base and
make them want to, watch make them want to, go and.
Speaker 1 (52:05):
Then they getting asked by a black dude, Anyway so
it's Like canelo got dogged By Terrece. Crawford how was.
Speaker 2 (52:14):
The rest Of themples talk about the legitimate great fight
that was probably one of the last great.
Speaker 1 (52:21):
FIGHT i think the fights.
Speaker 2 (52:21):
Before then we're even.
Speaker 1 (52:23):
Better nobody nobody's gonna talk about the previous. Fights they're
just gonna look a.
Speaker 2 (52:32):
Like who else in? General the fight the fights before
when more, entertaining has.
Speaker 1 (52:38):
More power Than floyd ever, did WHICH i love to see.
Speaker 2 (52:41):
A boxer have, well because he's left and he.
Speaker 1 (52:45):
Got funk away From Golden boy and bet on himself,
basically and he didn't just rely on The mexican fan
base to be. Successful he branched out and actually fought different.
PEOPLE i, mean, yeah he got knocked out by Old,
boy and yeah he's never gonna Fight Bena, vedas let's be.
Real but still so that's just the politics of. Boxing
(53:06):
that's Why tank is, Like i'm fucking out of, Here i'm.
Done but, Yeah i'm pretty much just. UH i think
it's a fad because it's, like, brother if you lose
To Jake, paul your career. Trash it's over for. You,
like if you lose To Jake, paul all respect out the,
(53:28):
window all your championships is, down it's over.
Speaker 2 (53:30):
It spending too much time On Jake.
Speaker 1 (53:32):
Paul, brother no Moral Tank, Davis, like If Tank davis
los his, fight his whole career is and.
Speaker 2 (53:38):
Sh all, right the dude who Shot Ricky, purcell he's
a teenagers being trialed as a minor. Juvenile fair feit.
Speaker 1 (53:47):
Up the Blicky your ass is not a. Juvenile if
you up the, pistol you're a man.
Speaker 2 (53:54):
Now, yeah exactly all THESE i, MEAN i don't know this,
KID i don't know what IT'S i don't KNOW i
don't know what his situation. WAS i don't know what
the fuck have. It ALL i know is a lot
a lot of these these young these young cats are
just you, know they think it's cool, to you, know
pretend they're figuring out the blicky and celebrations and TikTok
videos and fucking pretending they're slimed. Out and it's, like, bro,
(54:19):
realize there's like a whole reco around. That, right probably
shouldn't be doing that, Sign but, anyway yours is going.
Speaker 1 (54:26):
To jail because you got a. Firearm you're, underage fucking.
Speaker 2 (54:30):
Idiot but my point, IS i think a lot of
a lot of these, kids it's just so desperate to
have everything right. Now it's like you take these, chances
you make these risky. Moves it's like at some point
you got to pay the. Consequences SO i, mean at
the same, time, though you, know we never want to
see a dude get institutionalized and be defined by one.
Speaker 1 (54:51):
Thing, nah fuck. Him he you. Robbed first, off you
tried to rob AN nfl. Player he took the gun from.
Speaker 2 (54:56):
