This week we took the Sparks Toyota Tundra Studio on the road down to the Barking Dawgs Tavern. Our line up of guests was steller as normal. Brad Schenk and Dave Rapp of SCDNR's fisheries education division joined us to talk about their recent recognitions by SCDNR and how our listeners can get involved with their program. We were also joined by our new friend Chef Richard Florczak, who was kind enough to donate an incredible dining experience to our fundraiser we hosted on this day at Barking Dawg. This item brought $5000 to our fundraiser for the Steven's family and helped us raise well over $22k for their mediacal expenses. We had a great time and lots of stories and reports in this weeks show. The one and only Flounder Pounder joined us on location and we talked about what the MIFC crew has been up to lately. The roving reporter was out this week and visited with Seven Seas Seafood and our friend Will Tayloe at Pawley's Island Outdoors. Be sure to download, like and subscribe to our podcast. We appreciate all that listen in and give us feedback at www.trilogyoutdoorsmedia.com. Enjoy!!

(00:00):
Good morning, fish Eds. TheSouthern Anger's Radio show is on the air.
Here we go. We get that, I think we did. Yeah,
And we're coming to you live theToyota Tundra Studio presented by Sparks Toyota,
where the Deedle is always in andJenna is in and holding it down.
But we are on remote and Tonykeep let everybody know who else sponsors

(00:21):
us Qus Boats and Morph's Marine LakeCity in Georgetown. Every day is a
boat show every day. And goodbyethe Freedom Boat Club where your boat is
waiting. Hey, audio levels soundgood back there in the studio, Yes,
okay, good thought we might havebeen clipping there first. I was
worried I'm seeing some red over here, but I think she controls it on
her side too. So the outputthat we've got coming from here is different

(00:44):
than what we're straining attention. Shecan well we are we are coming to
you live, well, not anymore. We're coming to you live from the
Barking Dog. And we have thepundraiser here that we've been talking about over
the last month and a half,an hour long uh for Rebecca Stevens and

(01:06):
Jonathan Stevens, and we have anexciting day scheduled. Um, anybody that
didn't see my video that I puton Facebook. We have plenty of covered
area, don't we We do.We have plenty tons of covered area.
We are you don't have to worryabout you know, it's gonna be a
little sprinkly today. But the folksare barking dogs. Man, they they

(01:29):
made some alterations. Yep, we'rerolling out the red carpet. Jack,
got a right, jack we're gonnahave We got a book stoved to stand
by to stay warm. We gota big giant fire fit to stay warm.
We got the big pavilion out bythe lake to stay warm. It's
amazing indoors to stay warm. Yep, we're gonna have fun. What probably

(01:51):
a seventy foot maybe eighty foot tent. Yeah, just stay on. I
love stay dry. I love allof us are like, get my get
my microphone down, turn my headphoneup. Here tweaking because Tony's been playing
with his sister last time up.This is a wonderful place to be doing

(02:13):
this event today. It is,you know, the huge oyster roast,
and it was gonna be what barbecueas well, barbecue and oyster eaters per
non oyster eaters and possibly some chickenbox So and I'll tell you I had
a I had a blast harvesting oystersthis week. And uh, I'm away
you had a blast, I dude, I really variously You're back then?

(02:35):
Yeah, I know, I'm Iheck with the back. I was more
worried about getting stuck in the mudthat too, but you know it was
fun. I had had uh AnthonyMontagney, Captain Anthony, Captain Caleb Hartley,
and Captain Jay Bach. And Jay'sbeen collecting oysters, harvesting oysters here
for quite a while, okay, yeah, since he was a tiny little
lad. So Anthony and Caleb pickedthey were already started um harvest and Jay

(03:00):
and I were running a little bitlate. We got out there thanks to
set from Crazy System Arena for theboat, and we got out there and
joined them, and they had pickeda place that had a lot of oysters.
But it was real muddy, reallymuddy, and Jay, I could
tell, was not really happy aboutthe choice of locations. Just like fishing,
when it comes to it, Jayhas his set ways and he has

(03:21):
done a lot of time on there, so he knows places to go where
he doesn't get muddy and everything. So we did harvest, you know,
like half of our bushels, halfof our quota, and then Jay said,
let's go. I'm tired of thismud. So we went. We
loaded everybody in the boat, andwe rolled around to another spot and it
was a world of difference. Hardcompact sand. The mud with the oysters

(03:45):
was just below the water line,so you got some colder, deeper water
oysters and Jay had some I'm tellingyou this bag, we need to be
charging premium for this one bag thathe got. It's like they're like that
size. My goodness. Um,they were huge. That's a very large
merls in it oyster. But wasit close to where me and you went?

(04:09):
Um? Yes, it was.Wait a minute, when you and
I went, when did we go? I don't remember us going. Oh
I do, because you put itall of the Facebook. Look at Tony
down at getting oysters. Remember that. Yeah it was close, but it
wasn't occasion. Hey, that wouldbe me when it comes to oysters.

(04:30):
I'd be like, that was sixyears ago, right, So statue of
limitations come back on that one. Can't come back on that one. But
yeah, that video, I thinkit's been deleted since then, I hope
so. But anyway, we've gota great show planning for you today.
I tell you we're gonna talk somefishing obviously, and also we're gonna talk
with a couple of the volunteers anddonors to the event today and one album.

(04:56):
Chef Richard really cool dude. He'sbeen to all the fishing seminars lately.
Moved here after retiring from chef businessas a personal chef to the stars.
His list of clients that he waswith for long periods of time include
second to none, not limited to, but include Tom Cruise, Mel Gibson,

(05:24):
Leo DiCaprio, and so we're gonnahave him on at eight forty five.
We're gonna talk about what he's donatingto auction and where this item is
going to be an auction item.Today we were actually gonna stay away from
any auction we do the big rapplethat we know we're gonna donate at least
five thousand to the calls, butwe are going to auction this item because

(05:45):
I think there's gonna be who's goingto be the auctioneer, So I'm guessing
I will have to be. Areyou good at it. I would love
to try it. I've never doneit, but well I can tell you
if a swap, if you're ifyou're breakfast, that after breakfast, I
could probably be pretty good at it. Oh yeah, but if you get
into those too many more, no, because we all know, I don't

(06:06):
all know, we get kiddy abouta half a dozen eggs. He might
be pretty good at I am.I you never know, but I'll tell
you what the chef guy I'm reallylooking forward to, uh, to that
one man, because you were explainingto me what what the auction is going
to include, for what he's goingto provide, right, which is how
standing man. I mean obviously theguy's resume is just shows that he is
like top of his craft exactly. And you know, I love talking to

(06:30):
him. A couple of times I'vehad really I just met him this week.
I think I met him briefly atRayburn's I spoke at Rayburn's Harvest at
the Harvest Church, but I gotto speak to him for a little bit
this week. And you know,I always say, the guy is so
humble. Can we tell what youtold me what it's going to include?

(06:53):
Oh, we're gonna surprise that atthe auction. Let's surprise. Let's let
him do it. We'll let himdescribe because I will make sure we describe
it. There are two options. There's two options. Yeah, but I
know, you know, I mean, it's gonna be it's gonna be great
to talk to him. He's gonnabe here this afternoon too, He's gonna
be on site. But to meethim, We've got some great guests.
Um also Matt Barnadore and the family. Uh, the boys are coming down.

(07:15):
They're gonna be here hosfully hopefully duringthe radio show, but if not,
they I mean, this is justthe kind of people that they are.
They reached out several weeks ago andsaid, hey, we want to
come work, do whatever we needto do for that day. Blah blah
blah. So they are intending tobring a turtle box. So we got
a system. Yeah, that's right, we could use this turtle box.

(07:35):
Yeah, so we have we havemislocated. Is that what you call it?
Misplaced? The Southern English radio showuh PA system mobile PA system and
uh the gators PA system is UHat work over at Tractors Supply. The
new Tractors supply opening up today.Where's that one at that is? I

(07:57):
think you said Loris. Oh well, I think you said Loris. Um,
I was up there yesterday. Youknow here the quick joke. The
tractor supply companies are are starting tobe like Dollar General to open it up
everywhere. They got one by myhouse. But you know what, I
love them, Yeah, they doright out here. I'm there all the
time. My dogs only eat theirtheir brands. The brand no, no,

(08:18):
no, no they got uh wasit Big Roy? No, it's
something else, but no, theythey their their main brand that they carry
and I can't remember the name ofit. Lambon rice is the is the
flavor that we get, but weget the forty five pound bag. Um.
The price is great over there, but I cannot go in there another
place that I cannot take the kidsbecause they strategically placed all the toys at

(08:39):
the checkout line. You cannot walkout that store without the kids seeing the
tractors and and and all the toysthat they have for kids. And Russ
is attractor fanatic. And that's whatyou call brilliant marketing. It is brilliant
marketing. And again, uh,you know they gave us forty six Christmas
trees for the river. All theirtrees at the end of Christmas they gave

(09:03):
us, so we got them,we got them drying out, I go
to get getting them wet again.Yep. So if you've got Christmas trees
yourself, I'm just throwing this outthere. If you personally have Christmas trees
out there yourself, if you dumpedthem or planning on dumping them, do
you actually burn off the pine needlesand knock the needles off? I'm asking.

(09:26):
I heard it really work. I'mtony, I think, is shaking
his head almost like he agrees. But they don't last long into water anyway,
and it makes it easier to transportthem and do everything else. But
it's not near as messy, right. It don't take but ten seconds for
them to go poof once they're driedout. You got that right, like
a match. If you're gonna takethem to the river, you don't have
all the needles fallen off. Mysuggestion be I like the needles on them

(09:52):
and the icicles and stuff because theyattract bait, because a little shiny things.
So do it. Water still green, don't wait to dry if you're
gonna waited to dry out, burnedthe needles off of Yeah, that's all.
We're gonna make a mess in yourboat and your truck and everything else.
Trying to hold him to think them. But now what I said,
check your local regulations. To me, it is legal for you to put

(10:16):
them into water. And that's adisclaimer. That's don't be telling them the
Southern Accer's radio show told you,or just don't get caught. Nothing's illegal
until you get caught. Remember that, that's a disclaimer. I know,
Tommy Buchanan be calling us just aminute. No, I'm gonna go.

(10:37):
That serge is gonna text me.I'm gonna go that sarge is probably gonna
text me here in a minute. Thanks a lot, Thanks a lot.
But uh yeah, no, thatwas actually Keith Walker saying thanks for the
plug protractors supply. Um. Hehe was the originator of that whole deal,
because Keith is always I mean thatthat guy's eyes are always open.

(10:58):
He goes to all the nurseries andeverything and he'll try to play you know,
here's a deal. They might havesomething that they're not selling or that
they're getting rid of. That manright there will haul it off for him
and he will go do whatever. He's got an area planet of all these
trees that he was either gifted orbought for way discounted price, and he
takes care of it, nurtures it, gets it back to life, and
then his clients. He's got agreat piece to go put in his client's

(11:22):
beds or whatever. Nice. I'mlooking for one of the little shapable cedar
trees that people plant. It onlygrow like six foot tall, oh,
five six foot tall. That's hisexpertise, that you can shape them things
up and they don't get big andbulky. I'm looking for one to plant

(11:43):
out at my father and my son, between my father and my son's grave,
out of the property and yeah, and those six can be shaped.
Yeah, and it'll maintain itself overtime instead of just growing crazy out of
wax. Right, that's cool.Yeah. So Chris Wilson just said that
the auctioneer from the NWTF banquet lastyear, it might be available today if
we need him. I only wish. Yeah, that guy's so good.

(12:05):
Man, he was good, buthe talked too much. Yeah, he
was funny though. Man. Hegot us all with us rolling. Yep.
I'll tell you what he could pull. He could pull a dime out
of anything. And that's the otherthing. Not only was he funny,
but he definitely was like he wasmaking people spend money. I don't think
they wanted to spend Nope, that'san auctioneer's job though. That's exactly what
it is. Yeah, well we'llbe there in two weeks. Can't wait.

(12:26):
Yeah, we'll be there in twoweeks. So let's see who else
is joining us today. Oh mygosh, Dave Rapp and Bradshank once again.
Last year Dave Rapp was your SCDand R Volunteer of the Year.
Yes, this year, Bradshank isyour SCD and R Volunteer of the Year.
And what is Dave Now he's gotthat what is it to certified salt

(12:48):
or both certified saltwater Fishing instructor fordn R. And they're gonna join us
at nine fifteen to come talk aboutthey were just at their awards banquet.
We'll talk about what they've got planningfor this year. Are things that if
you can get your kids out,I know they're gonna be on the piers
again, um doing their seminars. So we'll get all that covered and get
that information up there um and thisweek I'm gonna be making my way to

(13:13):
tell rays canal um what I'm justgonna say that. I'm just gonna say
I haven't heard that yet. I'mjust well, I'm just gonna say that.
Here's my well, I'm filming. It's just me and one camera person,
nobody else um filming forum, Let'sfish TV. Uh it's not a
pun trip, it's a work trip. But uh so. My text from
a resident that lives in Monk's Cornerwas D and R is saying that this

(13:37):
is the best run so far inthe last ten years of Chad. Holy
moly, man, we gotta makeit. I've been trying to keep that
quiet because you don't want it tobe too crazy about. It's not quiet
at all, is it? No? So he so a lot of boats
up there. Yes, it's crazy. I've seen it like on your shows
before, on the Ruling up theCoach shows, where there were a lot
of boats in the background, stackedin there. It has a lot to

(14:00):
do with the timing the day thatyou go. There's like if you waited
a weekend to go and the shadrun his own expect chaos. Is it
like spot worthy pretty much canby canbe well, you're not running through their
wide open, you're running through iton a plane. Yeah, your way
through the last Yeah, you're twothousand yards. If the shad run is

(14:24):
going, you're not going through thereon a plane. You're gonna have to
idle. You're gonna make some peoplereally may definitely still like to do that
someday. Well we can. We'regonna get that set up now even on
the day I film. If y'allwant them to go, y'all could go
to or find somebody to go.But um, the the issue down there
is this right now, they're onlyflowing water from six until nine. That

(14:48):
means the fish are biting insanely earlyand then that slows off and then it's
just like what we dealt with, picking one off here, one off there.
But apparently from six to nine itis like that public not public,
that's public. It is public knowledge. If you know how to read the
hum the river flow coming from itis going to get better. After this

(15:13):
weekend, you go to have alot more flow. The marriage is the
dam that controls the flow. SantiCooper. So you could probably find that
through a Santi Cooper website somewhere youcan that's exactly where you go. There's
a number you can call, oryou can go and call and that it's
recorded. Yeah, tell you howmuch? How many feet per second they're
turning loose stud to dam the leaklevels every while? Yep, that's handy

(15:35):
dandy. Oh, it's great information. And again if if if you're looking
for that information, we'll share that. I'll get that link. I'll get
Tony the inspector over here to findthat link and then we'll share it.
Um. But it's the time togo. If you want to go,
load up and have a great timelight tackle, take the kids. It
is I mean, it is ablast to think that you're you know,

(15:56):
basically catching bait fish. But I'mnot im gonna get slapped in the face
by somebody that I was going toask that question next, exactly what do
you do with these ones? Youkeep, um, freeze them and use
them for chum or reason used forcatfish bait. Big Dave had catfish bait
ready and Mat remembers the cellophane wrappedum. Yeah. Yeah, English was

(16:22):
being optimistic when he said it wasjust gonna be him and one cameraman that
goes. But I know better becauseyou've got to have a spectator on the
boat with a tennis racket to beatthe pelicans. Pelicans office because you've heard
the stories about I've heard about thepelicans, My little chatter like on fire.
Would you get like six of themaround a boat if they they hear
a ripple, they just they're ownyou and it will eat a seven pounds

(16:45):
shed. They're obnoxious right off thetip of your odd and fights you over.
It's crazy. Yeah, pelicans meanbusiness, they do. And may
Chris Osman, Captain Osman will tellyou that the inside of their inside of
their mouth is sharp. Yeah,oh yeah they I mean this bird was
up to hear is up to hiselbow. His arm was up to his
elbow in his mouth. Wow.So anyway, but it's fun. Don't

(17:10):
don't let us turn you all uponit. You have to be sneaky.
You don't have to hide the otherfishermen. You have to turn your back
to the pelicans on the other sideof the boat. That is, if
you want to see what it lookslike, I mean, YouTube some of
the old real up a coast videos. Man, Yeah, you can go
check it out. Got a couple. It's amazing to see different shows on
there. It is fun. Anduh it's really light tackle, light tackle

(17:32):
like one eighth and one sixteen.Little tiny rods like a kid would use.
Yep, like the little tiny hairjigs and curly tails. Will you
have to tie like two or threeo three there so you can cast them
and then hang on, hang onhere they come real. Cast up,
cast up current, tony, right, cast up current. Let it drip

(17:52):
down current and just watch it asthat line. If that line starts to
tighten up as it's floating, getthe reeling and get ready to pipe.
Nice. I got two Ambassador,a little six foot medium. Oh,
these things are a trip. Andthey got little ultra light reels on them
with four to six pound line andwhen you with a five to six pounds,

(18:14):
it's a fighting to Marlin. Huh. Oh, it's awesome, dude,
it is awesome. That's fantastic.Hey, one other thing, and
I know we're gonna go to breakhere and then we're gonna come back.
And I got a great interview withHenry Ford from over at seven Seas,
who are um supplying us with ourOlays church for today. So we're gonna
get that interview played when we comeback from the other side of the break.

(18:36):
Before we go to break, Iwant to make sure everybody knows and
welcome everybody. If you aren't ableto listen to the complete show today,
if you miss some of it,you can now go to any podcast platform
that's all eleven and find the SouthernEnglish Radio show. Now y yeah,
we need a drum roll eleven eleven. Hang on, hang on, here

(18:56):
we go, Here we go.You got a drum errolle there, keep
you close, hang on, hangon, hang on, hang on,
wait I might have Oh, herewe go, there we go, folks,
you can go check out podcast anyway. Yes, we were on every
platform out there, so if youmiss it, go check it out.
Um and uh, what else Imentioned? What's going to happen to that

(19:19):
podcast? Which you mean throwbacks?Oh? No, yeah we can.
So that's huge. So here's somethingelse. If you want to go back
and listen to basically our first threeyears of podcasts, they're going to be
on there, hopefully in the nextweek. And let me tell you something.

(19:41):
I got caught listening to them becausefor some reason we were unfiltered back
we were unfiltered. They didn't.They didn't. They thought we were not
going to last a minute. Yeah, so they kind of, I don't
even think, kind of let thingsgo. I don't think they listened to
us. So we were kind ofwide open. Yeah. We broke a
lot of rules back there, Yeahwe did, but we still you know,
it's it's funny. We almost stillhave the same exact partners in the

(20:03):
radio show almost too, I meaneverybody. Yes, Uh, we almost
I mean literally, And so itdoesn't matter if we put them on there
because it's not gonna offend any ofour sponsors because they were all included back
then, and that speaks volumes forus to Yes, I'm we're all big
on loyalty and uh, when you'relaying as people, they're a little black
man, that's right. And we'vealways taken care of our of our people.

(20:25):
So it's it's great and we'll getthat announced when we do get those
But Aaron Mars, thank you forall your help. Aaron is now working
with an advertising agency in North Carolina, and Aaron is in I put Aaron
in charge. He took it.He took charge of it, so he
is working on that. What weneed is for them. They have to
release them to him. That's basicallywhat he's trying to do, right,
So if Anba can do it,be Aaron can do it. That's a

(20:48):
throwback name Anon. I mean Aaronused to be famous on the airwaves.
I told Aaron Grandstrand Area, Isaid, you're still Kenny's favorite DJ of
all time. Question about it.So, but anyway, he also believed
in So I'm a fan as well. Aaron is one of the two Wacky
Way I actually thought that this IBAwould work all those years ago. Yep,

(21:10):
he signed on. He said, let's do it, all right,
So, Jenna, let's let's goto commercial break, come back and let's
play Henry. And then once wecome out that we should be perfectly timed
to have Chef Richard on and I'llget Chef Richard. I'll get him on
my side on my end. Remember, I'll do all the phone calls on

(21:30):
my phone. Yep, yep,all right, Well listen, Kenny take
us out. You got it?Are you ready? Super Jenna? I
am, she said, So let'sdo it. Let's uh, let's take
a break and be right back forthe heads on the Southern Angers Raiders showing
the Gator one or seven point nine. All right, folks, you know
I talked about it this week thatthe new Tundra was gonna hit the road.
We got some new wheels on thatthing. I can get there safely.

(21:51):
And uh, I am at sevenSea Seafood talking to Henry actually ordering
some oysters for the fundraiser today goingon today at Bark and Dog they oyster
roast and we got Snake Man goingto gonna go get us some oysters,
isn't he? Oh yes, sir, We've got snake Man in the creek.
He's been picking some really nice bladesout of the creek. Uh.

(22:11):
Oysters have definitely been grown with thiscooler weather we've had, and we're gonna
have plenty for the super Bowl. Now, wait a minute. You know
you can't say that. You can'tsay that on air. I'm yeah,
yeah, I know, you can'tsay that on air. I'm just kidding.
I mean, honestly, we're notsupposed to. But you know,
if they want to come after us, they can come after us. But

(22:32):
you have to call it the biggame, the Big Game. So so
it's the big Game. But Iwas gonna talk about that because I know
the big game is tomorrow and alot of people are doing oysters and shrimp.
You said, yep, so we'vegot plenty of bushel of oysters.
We've got oysters coming right out atcreek here. Um, we'll have plenty
of North Carolina selects. Uh,some beautiful white shrimp. Uh. I

(22:55):
think we should have some crawfish comingin for the weekend. So it's gonna
be good, all right. SoI wanted to talk to you about crawfish.
So me and rush Russ got hookedand intrigued on watching crawfish shows on
YouTube this week or last week anyway. I mean, it is incredible.
So those things come all the wayfrom Louisiana and they're alive when they get

(23:18):
here. How in the world dothey do that? And secondly, have
you seen these shows and how theyharvest them. I've watched a few of
them. But yeah, we getthem flown in once a week every Thursday.
We get them in there. You'repacked in bushel sacks on ice and
we just throw them in the colorand they seem to hold up fairly well.
To you know, the ice prettymuch slows them down so keeps them

(23:40):
alive. Well, you. Youknow what, if you get to be
good friends with whoever you buy themfrom, if you could, I'd be
more than happy to go with you. I'll drive if you would talk to
them about duck season and just letthem know that whatever feels that they harvest
their creepish from that, we wouldn'twarn't any crep. We won't take any
creepish, but we would be morethan happy to defend it from the ducks

(24:00):
because when watching a couple of thespecials, I saw what they plant in
those fields to get the crawfish, and it's something that ducks like. So
I'm gonna guess there's some really goodduck hunt. They didn't mention that.
I'm sure they didn't want people comingout there to hunt it, but it
was incredible. And to wash theseboats that they use, they've got these
crazy boats from from out obviously thatwhat air cooled outboard drive the big mud

(24:25):
boat mud motors, and then theyhad some um big block gas engines inside
of it with a foot pedal becausethe way the guy had he needed to
drive with his feet because they're reachingover and grabbing those traps and dumping it.
U you know those net traps andthen rebating them and throwing them back
out. And actually one of thecompanies we were watching, not only do

(24:45):
they do crayfish, and it mightbe who you order from, but not
only do to do crayfish, butthey also process menhaden. They have that
as well business, but the crayfishis by far their biggest business down there,
and un and that they are creepishare incredibly popular and seapoo bulls with
creeyfish are good. Tony says,he is not going to eat the head

(25:07):
of a creepish. He will takethe time and to eat everything, but
he's not gonna eat the head. And I'll tell you unless you have tried
the head, the juice out ofa creepish head, that's where it is.
Yeah, that's that's where um.Yeah, you know, I love
him, you know, growing upeating crabs, so crawfish ain't nothing but
a thing for me, you know, no, And it's good. And
there was mud bugs? Is thatwhat the crickets? You know? Whatever?

(25:32):
You well, I'll tell you whatthe other thing is. While we
were googling again, I have tokeep Rush intrigued into different things, and
crayfish was this week. But wefound in New Zealand. The crayfish over
there that they call creeyfish are biggerthan our lobsters over here. They're in
they're in streams back inland looking forthese and they're using what we use for

(25:55):
crabs stream with a meat on it, okay, and they're dragging these things
up and they're grabbing them and they'relike two to five pounds and they call
them creepish. Well, yeah, you need you need to check it out
because they're actually really cool and theythey look their claws look like our stone
crabs, really really big big claws. Now, the other thing is what
if what if somebody wanted for aSuper Bowl, wanted to do a sepree

(26:18):
Bowl. You still can do thepreparation and cook that and deliver that as
well. Yea. So um,we're taking pre orders right now all the
way up until Thursday, so youcan you know, well that's all right,
keep going because I'm going keep goingall right. So we're taking pre
orders, um, and you justcall us up and uh tell me them
how many people you have, ten, twenty thirty, what have you,

(26:40):
and we'll fix it up and haveready to go. Well, we got
a lot of other things coming up. I know if they're not, you
know, obviously we're a little bitbehind on this, but but we got
a lot of other things coming up. Now, you were a star in
a video a show that's coming up, and did we figure out the date?
Um? I want to say it'sthe first week in in March.

(27:03):
That's what I thought. I thoughtit was that first week in March to
February. And it's called the MovingFeast, is that right? And Movable
Beast? And you you played abig role in it. Not only did
you get to eat the past thatship Adam Kirby prepared, is that right?
Not only did you get to eatthe beast, but you also helped
collect a lot of it, uhcrabs and oysters. So that morning we

(27:26):
went out and um uh set afew traps crab traps, and we went
back out the afternoon and got everything. Caught them video me crabbing. Unfortunately,
we weren't able to get to theuh to the oysters because due to
the tide. But um, youknow, I was able to get out
there and just basically show them howto collect pick coysters. Um. But
yeah, everything turned out really nice. They got a few clips uh edgy

(27:49):
clips um, they said to mev email it's pretty neat. That's good
show. It's gonna be on theDiscovery Channel. Correct, Oh on NBC
a whole Okay, well we're gonnacheck that out on the NBC. That's
run by Visit mittle Beach. TheMyrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce is putting is
UH is supporting that and other localChris Conklin's in it, and you're you're,

(28:11):
you're partner in crime. And alsoAdam Kirby ship, Adam Kirby hooking
Barrel, she's gonna be in it, that's right. Hide from hooking barrel
up on the north end. Therestaurant up on the north end, and
y'all supply them with seafood as well. There you go, folks. Well
I'll tell you what all the greatrestaurants call on Seven Seas for a reason
is because they have the best boats, the best fishermen out there getting the

(28:33):
best seafood. And uh, noway, no better way to support all
these hard working fishermen than to comeright here and buy seabood from Seven Sea
Seafood. So come down here andlet's talk. You know, one last
thing. What are the big thingsright now that are hitting the display case?
Uh local, can we get deepwater groupers and stuff or so right
now we're getting the deep water complexUh, Golden Tower, snowy group er,

(28:59):
um rose, which is really good. It's a little bit smaller.
Fish is similar to a snapper, really pretty white meat. Um gray towel.
Uh. They're moving a little inshore, you know, once the weather
gets a little rough offshore and uhcatching trigger fish. Still getting for a
million snapper and so um. Youknow, we're still getting a pretty good
smarting sport of a fresh local productin all. Right there you go,

(29:21):
folks, listen, come down downto seven see seafood and uh they'll get
you set up. And they goteverything in here. Everything. You still
got some steaks in there. Iknow y'all have some steaks a while back.
Yeah, we're still getting staks. We'll have something in for Valentine's Day,
so yeah, and live lobsters.Yeah, don't get Valentine's. Don't
forget Valentine's. You can you canreally impress that loved one by cooking her
an incredible meal right here. Comedown and get every part you need for

(29:44):
the puzzle right here at seven seeseapood. You know we say it from
the boat. Do you throw itfrom the trap of your lap? It
don't matter. Come on down andsupport the local fisherman. Hey, we're
gonna head back to the studio,Henry, Thanks for taking the time,
brother, are always good hanging outwith you. And get on the water.
Get signed up with the Green StreamFishing Rodeo. I'm calling right now
Henry will win at least two orthree months in the freshwater in the crappy

(30:06):
or the brim category. I'm callingit right now, Mark my word.
I'm saying in on February fIF six, whatever day it is right now.
I'm gonna come back to this whenHenry gets that second or third win.
So let's go back to the studioand see what's up. Welcome back Fish.
As to the Southern Angler's radio show. Hey, coming to you live
via that Toyota Tundra Studio presented bySparks Toyota where the dealers always in and
buck us boats at Marshall Marine ofLake City at Georgetown, where every day

(30:29):
is a boat showy and by theFreedom Boat Club of your boat is weighty
eat. I'll tell you what,Let's don't keep anybody waiting any longer.
Let's get Chef Richard on here.I'm really looking forward to talking to Chef
Richard. Yo. This is probablythe most prominent chef I've ever spoken to.
You know, my brother in lawprobably holds that distinction up until now.
Let's make sure this works here. Here we go, Yeah, hello,

(30:52):
Chef Richard. Hey, guys, how are you? We're good,
buddy, how are you? Ye? Thanks for joining us? Ah,
are you kidding? It's an absolutehonor. How how am i? How
are we? We live in Merle'sInlet, now God's country. We just
love it. So we're doing great. Where did you come from, Chef?
Originally, I'm born and raised inNew Jersey. Moved to California in

(31:15):
Los Angeles when I was twenty five. So I spent thirty seven years in
Los Angeles and escaped. Yeah, exactly. Some of the locals when they
asked me where I'm from, andI say, well, born and raised
in New Jersey and just moved herefrom Los Ange Los Angeles, they say,
oh, you got two things againstyou. Yeah, but no,

(31:37):
just absolutely grateful to be here.Well, listen, here's the other thing
ship. Richard is in devision. He's kind of he's kind of indivision.
And Jason Burton said to tell youhello, I believe you two have met
as well a number of times witha great person. Yeah low, Yeah,
he is, and I think he'sgoing to be one of those toy

(32:00):
that might be pushing that bid upa little bit higher on this item.
And let's talk about it real quick. You know were you were kind enough
to reach out and um through somemutual friends of ours and uh reached out
and wanted to donate something and dosomething for this. And I know you
had done uh this as well withwith my friend Liz Callaway and raised some

(32:22):
great money with her. So let'stalk about this. You know, I
may have I may have misquoted youearlier because I I did. I think
we did say that it would eitherbe a dining for six or possibly a
class for six, you know, where you teach them. But I'm gonna
let you explain exactly what it is. UM. So the listeners can here,

(32:44):
because we're gonna put this item notonly live auction here, but we're
gonna have it online as well,so we can take bids through Facebook.
So We're gonna give everybody the opportunityto bid on this thing, because I
think it's going to be incredible. And from just the brief time that I
got to in with you the otherday at the marina and then on the
pone, I know people are gonnanot only enjoy your cooking, but enjoy

(33:07):
you being there and here in yourstories. But real quick, explain exactly
what you're You're going to be thrownout there in the auction world for us,
Sure you bet. It is aeither a cooking class, a workshop.
It could be a tasting, itcould be a demonstration for six people

(33:30):
in the privacy of their home. You can have it done any way of
those three ways that you would likeit, or you know, they can
just sit back and pound a fewdrinks and watch me cook however they would
like to do it. But italso comes with I purchase all of the
food, so that that's my cost. Also, I bring an assistant who

(33:52):
helps clean up, and we leave. We leave the person's home like we
found it, and every attendee getsa personally signed cookbook of mine. It's
an award winning cookbook that I putout about ten years ago, and it's
it's very useful, it's easy tofollow. Um So, yeah, so
that's that's what I do. Andthere's also endless stories from from behind the

(34:14):
scenes working for the A list people, and believe me, there are many
of them. Hey, earlier,we name dropped earlier, So I want
you to kind of I want youto go a little deeper into that.
But let's real quick. Give alist of some of your celebrities that you,
um were had had the privilege oror not to h to cook for.

(34:37):
Yeah, yeah, no, thebig names were were a privileged privilege.
I was first celebrity I worked forwas for Tom Cruise. I worked
with him for two years when hewas doing the first Mission Impossible over in
um Uh, Czech Republic and Londonfor eight months and that job came to

(34:59):
an end. We parted a goodcompany and I was I was thinking at
that time I was kind of doneworking for Hollywood. Maybe I could work
as a private chef for somebody Idon't know, in the banking world or
whatever. And I got offered theposition with mel Gibson, and I thought,
I don't know if I want todo that, you know, because
there's this unwritten rule in the privatechef world. You'll last two years.

(35:22):
You know, either they get tiredof you, you get tired of them,
that kind of thing. And thewoman said, you don't know this
family. You don't know the Gibsonfamily. They're different. Give it a
shot. I ended up being therefor thirteen years. Oh wow, Okay,
I'd like to be able to saythat they couldn't live without my cooking,
but I don't believe that to betrue. They're just great people.

(35:44):
We're still still very close, andafter that I ended up opening an upscale
would fire a pizza restaurant after myjob with Mel. And Frankly, if
if Mel and his wife didn't divorce, they were such great people, I
probably would still be there. Ohwow, that's amazing. That is amazing

(36:06):
because you hear so many things behindthe scenes about Mel Gibson that I would
I would find that he might bea little bit tough to work for.
But obviously, you know what yousee in the once you see in the
media versus the truth. Obviously.Yeah, what's it like, celebrity chef?
I mean, do you did youlive on in the house somewhere?
Did they have a house for youon the grounds I mean, oh no,

(36:28):
I learned how to avoid those kindsof positions very quickly. Uh no,
no, I lived off premises.Um, when you're private chef,
especially with the with the bigger people, you know, you're forty hours a
week, and then you travel withthem on location when they're doing movies and
stuff. Um. So I traveledall over the world with crews like I

(36:52):
mentioned before, and of course withMel Gibson. I was, you know,
you know, in Italy for thePassion. We were actually in South
Carolina forum the Patriots Watt. Yeah, that was my introduction to South Carolina.
Yeah. Wow, did you learnhow to cook college? I'm learning
now. Yeah, I can't believehow much. But I think you know,

(37:15):
sometimes if in the chef world, you kind of start to get to
the point where you think you knoweverything. And by the way, that's
a curse. You think you knoweverything, you're gonna get your rear end.
Kiss same way with vision, says, same way with vision, absolutely
absolutely. But I come here withan open mind. Look, I learned
some of my best recipes. I'mtraditionally educated in the food world. I

(37:43):
learned some of my best recipes fromhousekeepers, butlers, drivers, so I've
learned to have an open mind aboutthis stuff, and I've learned a ton
of stuff in this great area thatwe live in. Now that's great.
Yeah, we love our food aroundhere, Yeah we do. Yeah,
you can just look around and see. Well, I'll tell you, I'll

(38:04):
tell you the You know, I'mguessing that because you mentioned Leonardo Dicabrio as
well, So I'm guessing he cameafter Mel Gibson. No, what happened
is with once I had those twocelebrity names on my resume, it seemed
like every agency in LA was callingme because what people from outside the business

(38:27):
don't understand sometimes is that their theirsecurity is so important to them that when
another celebrity is looking for a personlike me, they want to know that
they can trust them. Right. So, oh, well, he worked
for Tom and he worked for Mel. He must be good, so they
would contact me. And sometimes, like in the situation with Leonardo, he

(38:49):
didn't need very much, so Iwas able to go to his house a
couple of days a week in themorning, cook a bunch of stuff for
him, leave it in the fridge, and then race across town to get
to Melts house to my full timejob. So that's how I was working
with with Leonardo as well as JenniferGarner. Um I did the same kind
of work for for her too.Oh wow, did you have to call

(39:12):
Leonardo Leonardo? Or did he havea little short? You know is Leo?
Isn't it Leo? Yeah? Yeah, Leo? Everybody knows him as
Leo? Yeah, yeah, goodguy. He was a nice guy.
I figured he was a nice guy, seems like, yeah, yeah,
I figured he was a nice guy. Well, I'll tell you what,
folks, you want to hear moreabout these stories, you can do it
in person. You're gonna you're gonnayou're gonna have the opportunity to hire him

(39:32):
for a night to come over andentertain you and five of your friends,
feed you good. You're gonna hearthese stories and clean up and clean up.
Well, are you coming by today? Yeah? He's coming by.
Aren't you here? Yurse? Iam? Yeah, I can't. I
can't wait to hang out with youguys. Oh, now, his better
half, Heidi is not gonna beable to join us. Am I correct?

(39:53):
She's working? Yeah, unfortunately sheis today. Yeah. Okay,
Well that's okay, you'll do that'sright. You'll do, You'll do,
you'll you you will eventually meet her, you will, you will meet the
brains of the business. Oh yeah, oh yeah, I've heard all about
it. I've heard all about her. Well, I want to add something

(40:13):
into sweeten this pot, and thecourse it ain't sweetened it much. But
I am going to personally come alongwith you, and I'm going to serve
as a bartender this night. Iwill I will bring I will bring two
choices of booze, a bottle ofwine and and or beer, whatever they

(40:34):
want, and I will handle allthe drink making for the night. So
I'm throwing that in there. We'readding that in there. And I know
you have made a lot of foodfor some celebrities. I've made a lot
of drinks for celebrities, some thatare celebrities in their own mind, but
I've made them for celebrities. Sowe're gonna We're gonna package that together.
Okay, So I'm coming with you. I'm going to handle all the bartend

(40:57):
inside of it. You handle thecooking side, and we'll have a good
time. Well, we'll have tomake a pack that we don't talk about
fishing, because I could see wherethat would lead. That's right, that's
right, that's right. And youknow the other thing is I have to
make a pack that as a bartender, I don't taste every drink I make,
because I've been known to do thatin the past too. So I'm
there to serve, not drink,to make sure they though that's right.

(41:19):
But but the chef does have togive me a tasting on the meal as
well. Absolutely, But yeah,so we're adding that in there. So
Chef, we're gonna have a goodtime that night and we'll get well,
we'll promote that thing further as theday goes on. Out here, starting
at twelve oysters and everything available,Chef Richard will be here. We'll do
this auction probably sometime in the threeo'clock hour. It'll be live on Facebook

(41:44):
and it'll be live here in person. So make sure you get out here
and Chef, thank you so muchfor taking the time this morning join us
and look forward to hanging out withyou this afternoon. Okay, guys,
thanks so much for allowing us tobe part of this. We're just so
grateful. Man, We're thankful foryou, but we appreciate a chef.
All right, We'll see you thisafternoon. Thanks Cheff. Okay, all

(42:05):
right, what a great person.Tell that's gonna be fun. Yeah,
so I started thinking about it.Check my bank account when we go.
I want to how come every timeyou go into my house, I'm making
you drinks if you missed a bartendernever made me a drink. For those
out there in the world who don'tknow, Captain E is like world class,
well our tender. I'm gonna saythis, the swamp donkey juice.

(42:27):
It takes a master of the donkeyjuice to make it, and Tony has
mastered me. I messed with there'sno reason to Yeah, you know it
ain't broke, don't don't fix it. Yeah. Yeah, so that's actually
a pretty good sweetener to this deal. Man happened you as a barkeeper?
Yeah, and I'll I'll, I'llthrow in I was gonna say, you
know, a bottle of Tito's andwe'll come up with crown something I want

(42:49):
to We'll find out what they likefor we can make about a million drinks
between vodka and whiskeys exactly. Yeah. I might have to freshen up on
some of these new recipes because Iunderstand that, um, there have been
quite a few drinks added in thelast sixteen years. Maybe, so there's
been a lot of new drinks. But you can't go wrong with a ball
of fire ball. You might belooking forward to coming to my house.
Man, Hey, I'm there,I'm there, gonna do the class I

(43:13):
want to love. That would beI would show up to watch. You
would be invited, because this isthe other thing that I thought about you,
You and Lou. You call Lou, get him on the phone,
and Lou's gonna be all about this. I mean you're both into cooking.
Talk to Lou that on that uppereche law level, right, you know,
you know, I think chef wouldbe his uh you know what do

(43:35):
you call it? Um? Chefwould be like his um his uh equal
maybe yeah, okay, no,I don't know, probably above, probably
above Lou even maybe because LOUI islike the best chef I've ever my brother
in law. I'm talking about fisheds, but yeah, he's like really
good and he's taught me a wholebunch. Yeah, I know Lou would
love to be a part of thatas well. So I would have to
Tony, Tony, I would haveto be there, of course. There

(43:58):
you go, Tony Shannon, i'dhave to sound luck a date. I'll
tell you what I'm thinking that thismic like stampede right past my budget.
This raffle we got going today. If you want to be all that would
be good. You're in huh you'rein the raffle. How that happened?
Okay? Oh yeah, well we'lldo it now. If we won.

(44:22):
Yeah, well you were in itlast year. You won as much money
as the winner. You you youwere the second biggest money winner in the
raffle last year. That was pureluck and Tony's raffle. Yeah, that
was pure luck. Here right man? All right, well listen, let's
let's get our two other guests overhere to slide over. Bradshank and Dave

(44:43):
Rapp have come into the mobile SparksToyota Tundra studio at the heading t Yeah
that's okay almost that dog in it? Is that dog? You got the
dog? Right? Yeah, we'llget those get them mic up here.
Let's see we got to make sureI got them on. Is it too
loud for you guys? Everything?Okay? Audio level? Good? Yep?

(45:07):
Dave get it over there. Movedthat cable around. You've got on
the There we go. Dave's justmaking a mess over there. Yeah,
glasses fallen. He got the wireback in front of it again. There
you go, the way, moveit around. Oh my goodness, radio

(45:27):
right there we go. I loveradio. Pull it up, get it
right in front of his mouth. What you want to help you doing?
Mic check? Dave check? Hell? There we go. All right,
he's right, he's good. Allright, all right. So guys,
congratulations first and foremost, and thankyou for all the work that y'all have
done. Um, real quick, tell us about the banquet this week or
you you You guys were presented withsome hardware. Yes, it's pass Saturday.

(45:52):
Uh. We went down to theSouth Carolina Department of Natural Resource Marine
Marine Division Education and uh, mypartner over here, Brad Shank twenty is
the new twenty twenty two Volunteer ofthe Year. I took congratulations, I
appreciate it. Yeah, I tooklast year's award. Yeah. We also

(46:15):
received the duo An Instructor Award ofthe Year for twenty twenty two. And
uh, they actually gave us.I mean it's it's a great uh SLX
shimano U STRATICU combo with you knowreal, and that means you have to

(46:37):
actually go fishing. Brad. Yeah, we have a lot of fishing,
even though a lot of the timesfishing. Wait a minute, how do
y'all fish in between all the otherstuff that you got going on? Well,
when the class is over, everybody'sfished, Well, we're still there
with rods and reels. We takeit out and go out and fish after
them. Heck yeah, so we'vehad our time in and love doing it.
Let's talk about the class. Whatyou know, everybody that might not,

(46:58):
I mean, it's been a whilesince we've had y'all. Let's talk
about exactly what what do y'all dofor DNR. Well, D and R
offers us the opportunity becoming volunteer fishermenvolunteer instructors. Right, so we we
really go to the class and teachpeople how basics, how to tie knots,
how to string the rods, howthe bail works unreal, and then
how to hook put right hooks onright kind of bait. I mean,

(47:21):
from beginning to end, it's whatam I going to do if I have
to fish? What do I haveto buy do? What's the process of
casting a rod? Then We takethem out to the location, whether the
it's a creek or a pier orthe surf, and we teach them how
to do it. We stand therewith them, they work through it,
and I don't say everybody catches afish, but there's a great number of
people that come out that catch theirfirst fish during this class and they don't

(47:45):
pay anything. Is that it istotally free. People will come and participate,
So it's a great time. Whatkind of not do you teach these
kids a time? Yeah? Whatnot? Yeah? Actually it's just one now
it's the UNI knot there we go. That's what c DNR requires as the
UNI. Yep. If they canfigure out how to do that, they
can tie any knot that's necessary fora fishing event, I mean for their

(48:07):
fishing needs, right. So it'sgreat line to line, line to end
tackle. How how does somebody getinvolved with y'all? I'm not as a
volunteer, well as a volunteer aswell, but how did somebody get you
guys say, just a little oldlake city over there, but they have
a lake now, um and theywant to do if they wanted to do

(48:29):
a seminar to have the kids inthe city over to do pawing fishing and
learn some freshwater stuff. Would theygo to dn R or did they reach
out to y'all? They would gothrough DNR Pam Corwin as our coordinator,
and uh just called down to theMarine Education Division there in Charleston and and

(48:51):
uh toll them you know, uhwhat what you want and uh we'll be
happy to be out. We're doinga fishing one oh one class now at
West Marine. Uh. I knowthat last year we want to talk or
we want to get something started withthe Marina Crazy System Seth Seth Williams.
We talked to uh Jay Bach uhmaybe about teaming up and myrtleson a uh

(49:17):
twenty twenty. You know, theyhave a nice little room there that we
could actually ensue it. Yep,we've uh we just recently approached the American
Legion and because with that fishing wonon one class. Uh it's just basically
UM an introduction to UH saltwater fishingand uh we bring the rods with five

(49:42):
different type setups and uh it's ait's a very good deal because honestly,
you think about the Legion, there'sa lot of guys there probably live here
retired here don't do much fishing, and and that's a great opportunity for them
to come hang out of the legionand get some education, and who knows
they might pick up fishing. Yeah, And if anybody wants to be an
instructor, all they gotta do isget a hold of DNR. And if

(50:07):
they want to volunteer like like wedo, get like I said, Pam
core one and have to get shortoffied. Yes, we got a virtual
Instructors Training class coming up at theend of this month. I think,
Yes, at the end of thismonth, and we're teaching Huntington Beach surf
fishing classes. We do the walkto Pier program up on the piers,

(50:28):
sound at Hobbcloth you do hob calleddoes presentations? Do y'all fish? Can
y'all get the fish down there?Yes, sir, and I would take
that. Do I sign up?Where do I sign up? I'll take
I'll take the class. You strugglewith those responsibilities and having to do that
just to make sure everything works.Oh, I bet you do, Brat.
He says that with a straight Hesaid that with a straight base.

(50:51):
See, you all could come andbe our guest instructors. Kenny, I
don't know if they want to learnfrom us. Yeah, I just say,
hey, just watch me what I'mone out here, and then do
everything opposite, right. I wouldbe really good at instructing these people how
not to catch, not show thema thousand ways not to catch a fishing.
That's it. That would be perfect. But I'll tell you what.

(51:12):
So you you anything locally scheduled yetpier days or beach days or anything that
you have scheduled coming up towards theend of March. Uh, it's not
out yet on the calendar, butwe're gonna start back up with the West
Marine Fishing one on ones. Uh. We've got some schedule for hob call
A ready, Yes, Huntington teachand those are all available on a calendar.

(51:35):
You'll see them on a calendar anddn Rson's they're posted and then you
can sign up through se dn Rlook at family fishing clinics and look for
the one that would fit your schedule. They fill up fast, really fast.
That's great, So it is yeah, okay, yep. So is
that like does the schedule one liketo go fishing? Uh? See on
the app? Yeah? Yeah,I wonder if it is on the app

(51:55):
I haven't seen it on the app, and I've looked for it there and
I haven't seen it yet. Iknow if he needs to go into backpack,
you know, the backpack exactly needsto go in the backpack. They
need to get that on there.Well we can, we can. Y'all
need to make sure to tie youthat together. Yeah, because you know,
here's the thing. That app isincredible. A lot of us are
a lot of us are surviving offof it. Um. It should be

(52:16):
on there because one day, Imean eventually, I know they put a
lot of money in that app.Every single thing that is on their website
should be accessible that that would youknow, there's something that an event or
anything that we would be interested inshould be on that app. And we
are talking about the gold fish orgo Outdoors sc Yes, um app that

(52:36):
you can get and linked to yourlicense and it's cool because it keeps you
up to date on your license andwhether it is up to date. Um,
So make sure you download that app. Kenny lives off of It's there,
it is. You can go toit. Certify DNR Fishing Instructors,
Yep, there it is. It'sYeah, that's for the that's for being
found it through that becoming an instructor. But the classes aren't on there yet,

(52:58):
are they calendar lyc. So thecalendar's there, so it's going to

(53:20):

share those dates when they actually getreleased. Um, and we'll put up
all your local dates you're going tobe here or linked to that now since
everything's gonna be right there. Um, and anything else you want to talk

(53:42):

Uh. Let that is actually uhhelping me. Okay, wait a minute,
I thought you were passing that baton. No, we're we're teaming up
with the Flounder Tournament. Yeah andEd scobysh Yeah, Ed's back on board.

We're doing fifty minute increments, okay, in on the scale, yes yeah,
and uh awards each each hour forso if you weigh in you did,

(54:29):
there's a reward each hour one hundreddollars. Then the opportunity to be
in a five hundred dollars drawing fromeverybody that's recorded a fish. It's a
great format. It's great format.Oh yeah, great format, and a
live release format as well. Ithink we had some help with that.
No, no, no, no, y'all did great, y'all and and
uh that you know, um realquick. I noticed another new plunder tournament

(54:50):
that's coming and we'll be promoting thatas well. But it's coming in it'll
be the week after years. Yesyeah, and they're doing live format,
live release, So kudos to everybodythat. Oh yeah, kudos to any
tournament that's following that format. It'sgreat. Um, we look forward to
it. We'll have you on again. Prior to that, we'll promote it
the Grands Trans Salt Water Anglers FlounderTournament in April twenty eight. That would

(55:14):
I heard captain meeting Captain's meeting twentynight is fishing here night? Yes,
So, uh we'll get out thereand do it. And uh, I'll
tell you what appreciate you guys gettingup coming out here. And uh,
if y'all want to stay around,I know you're really good volunteers. We're
gonna be washing oysters here in alittle bit and if you feel if you
feel like you might want to joinin, feel free to join in.

(55:34):
But if not, y'all can hangout. And uh wait, we'll have
some oysters here in a couple ofhours and barbecue and I see the barbecue
I think is getting delivered as wespeak. So everything's gonna get going here.
But thank y'all for coming in.Oh yeah, and we we want
to thank you. I mean youalways jump on board. Uh you know
with the youth division for the Grandstrand I already told you that. I

(55:57):
think you asked me. Yeah yearsYeah, Village Outdoors and also the uh
with sc DNR, we do thetake a kid fishing on the piers,
So you'll always count on board,so we keep that in there. I
love appreciate it. It's funny.I'll go back and look at my time
Hoop time hop and I see kidsthat have won the youth prizes in the
plunder Tournament and now they're in college. Some are even graduated from college.

(56:22):
But I love sponsoring that keep mein that position. We love that spot.
And Jenna, if you're ready, what we'll do is go to a
commercial. Come back from that commercial, and I had a great conversation with
Henry from seven Seeds. Henry, yep, you had a conversation with Will.
No, we will, We alreadydid Henry. Yeah, it Will

(56:44):
as Will. Yeah. By theway, this is the longest interview I've
ever had with Will Taylor. Butthere's a lot to talk about down there.
So yeah, we'll go to break, come back and thank you guys
once again. Sitting in Kenny, you want to get us out of here,
you know it? All right, super Jenna, you're ready, yep,
yep, she says, all right, We'll be right back. Fish
Heads on the Southern Nigers Ridder Showwith the Gator one of seven point nine.

(57:05):
All right, folks, I promisedyou that the New Toyota Tundra Studio,
Rolling Studio and the Robing Reporter. We're gonna hit the road more.
And uh, I'm holding true tomy word. I'm today down at Paul's
Island Outdoors. It's been too longsince I've got to hang out with my
buddy wheel And Uh, I actuallyonly saw five cars in the parking lot,
so I figured, what the heck, might as well pull in now

(57:25):
because normally I can't find a parkingspot. You know, lots of lots
of growth going on here, willyou? And I started off back in
the gun room chatting and and everythingelse. And wow, dude, you've
h you got plenty of guns here. I know we got turkey season coming
up on the on the horizon andnear horizon. I know we want to
talk some wahoo fishing today, butlet's talk turkeys. Uh. You got

(57:49):
some choices of shells back there forpeople. I got the four ten twenty
gauge twelve gage TSS, which iswhen everybody wants these days that kill the
turkeys. Uh. Um does apretty good job at the distance. And
uh, they said we got lotsof turkey items. They are I've arrived
decoys. Um, but nelly,uh, turkey guns, frankies, stokers.

(58:12):
Like I said, we are loadedup with TSS. Have you got
some of the new I didn't lookso I'm putting you on the spot.
Have you got some of the new? Um? I call it inflatable,
but they don't look like an inflatable. The decoys that are that that will
you know, deflate and go intobag, easy to carry, but they
look like like we do. Wegot them by AV and x X.

(58:34):
That's it. I've got several ofthem came in actually yesterday. I'll tell
you they look great. I meanfor the money, for how they hold
up, and and honestly, thecolors, I mean the color scheme in
them. Everything in the sunlight isincredible. In you know, shaded areas,
it looks good. But that TSS, you know, it became popular
the last couple of years, andI've tried to listen. I'm it's not

(58:59):
cheap. I've tried to stay awayfrom it. But I'm also hearing so
many people that are enjoying shooting thosefour tens and twenty gauges. You do
a lot of walking, and thisis where people don't understand. We do
a lot of walking turkey hunt.If you're gonna do it effectively, well,
I mean maybe you do have thatplace where you can get them on
the roost every time when they comedown. But if you're gonna do some

(59:20):
walking, it's nice to have thatoption of carrying a light going. And
that's that's where it started from. That's correct. And like I said,
the uh, the Stevens four tenis probably one of my most popular here
in the last couple of days becauseeverybody is gearing up for turkeys in there.
It's a four ten single shot andlast year these guys were shooting the
tss and the four tens and theywere getting forty five yards shots, so

(59:44):
it's pretty deadly. Oh yeah, well, you know the other thing,
and always this time of the year, you know, we spend plenty of
time down here at Pauli's Eye outdoorstalking. We will, shopping, we
will because the Waaho's here. Hestarts in about seven days and you know,
we're we're a team trilogy and Marshall'sMarine is going to be back out
fishing the series again this year. And by my captain and or co captain,

(01:00:08):
whatever you want to call him, boat on her we'll call him that
lucas Um has very little confidence inhis Wahoo game. And let me explain
it to you why. He saysthat he has never called an eighty pound
wah who. He knows it andin his mind he knows you need to
have an eighty pounder at least inyour in your aggregate to have a chance.

(01:00:30):
But you and I both know thatan eighty pounder is not it's an
anomaly. I mean, it's notan anomaly. It can be caught,
but it's not everybody catches one.Um. We're gonna our game plan so
far we've talked, is we're gonnastart with high speed pretty much every time
we go, we feel like, find the fish and then start doing some

(01:00:52):
other stuff. Is that what youwould suggest? That's a good choice,
And I mean, like I saidthat, being able to dial to fish
in and cover some territory with highspeeding from spot to spot, and then
once you locate the fish, thenyou can go back to your standard technique
of slow trolling with bally hoo orplugs and and some guys love to lie

(01:01:14):
beat them, so I know that'sgonna be a good choice to do as
well. Like I said that, high speed, you can make some cover
some tracks and find the fish andget them dial it in and then like
I said, dial back to yourslow trolling. Yeah, she says gas
is expensive exactly. And the otherthing is, I don't want to I
don't want to compare a wahoo toa king biche them, but I do

(01:01:36):
feel a lot of the same mentalityand targeting them can be effective. In
other words, you find a bait, you find where the baits holding,
You're probably gonna find your fish. When you find your fish, slow down,
get live baits or slow slow trolling, and go back to meat fishing.
But one thing, and again contradictingwhat we probably said the last three
four years, this time of theyear, you've got all your rigged up,

(01:02:00):
you got heavy wire all them blahblah blah. You're starting to rig
up. You're starting to see peoplerigging them a little differently, right,
That's correct. And like I said, we got it every every technique everybody,
and everybody's different. So you know, if you're into the high speeding
like I said, we got that. If you want to um step back
to your like your traditional island orlures or we got that, Like I

(01:02:21):
said, we want to make surewe are covered for everybody's fishing style.
Well, now that you're here oneof the time and not floating two different
jobs, it would be a littleeasier for somebody to come in and say,
hey, well this is what Iwant. Will you rig me up
a pack of these? Will yourigging me up these? You're still doing
that. Yeah, I've been doinga lot of that here lately, and

(01:02:43):
since our hunting season is coming toan end other than Turkey season, folks
are really getting fired up for fishinghere. Recently, I've really been doing
a lot of spooling of your umoffshore stuff, big stuff. Everybody's getting
a new line. I'm doing alot of Holocaust place and it's been very

(01:03:05):
busy as far as doing not aschooling this week. Well, you were
recently, well I say recently, you were about a month and a half
ago. You made your annual pilgrimageout to Nashville, where you get to
go get wind and dined by yoursuppliers who you keep very happy all year
long, therefore keeping your customers happyhere with having product in were. I

(01:03:27):
know this isn't like eye cash,it's a little different, but were there
any was there anything new that yousaw or you know it may be reintroduced
or introduced while you're out there thatyou're bringing in now that we may not
know about yet. We do havesome new things that will be arriving here
in the spring and in the summer. And like I said, pretty much
everybody is bouncing back from COVID andthe night we keep using that. But

(01:03:51):
they're just trying to get the suppliesup, which I haven't really had a
much of a problem when the supplies, but everybody's just trying to get where
they are focusing on getting the materialand the product up to the customer.
And then instead of really introducing somuch new stuff. Yes, there was
several new reels and some new roads, and you know it's always gonna be
a new lower here and new doorthere, But as far as something really

(01:04:15):
new, everybody's just pretty much wastrying to make sure they will cover on
getting everybody um fulfilled with the order. Well you're I mean, you're right,
boat boat boat industry, same way. You know, they want to
bring out new products, but they'restill trying to get you know, inventory
built up um And I'm sure it'sthe same way with road companies. Well,
I can tell you one thing fromlooking around back here. Um,

(01:04:36):
you made your Shimano guy happy,So I'm sure you'll be going back to
Wilmington to go offshore fishing with themagain. Looks like it looks like pen
got in on the market. Yeah, pins in on the market. But
holy is there another Shimano dealer inSouth Carolina that carries more than you?
Be honest, I don't know aboutthat now, but I try to make

(01:04:59):
sure I got it all. Youdo have it all? Uh? Any
Uh they have a new inshore rod, don't they. They did some redesign
on something. Yeah, they changeda lot of the things up. And
they got a new moravial Um spinningreel, which it has been real popular
and it was it's a good pricepoint and it actually at the show one
UM new product for Shimano um andthis uh a nice little UM three thousand

(01:05:20):
size twenty five hundred size reel forinshore efficient. So that was nice.
And I got some of those, and like I said, we're you know,
my my uh thing is I likethe Talicas and the Thiager, so
I make sure I'm loaded up onta talicas and thiagers and all that all
short stuff and so, um,well, your business is like mine.

(01:05:41):
We we like to sell what webelieve in. We like to sell and
promote what we believe in. Andthere's no doubt about it. Now,
I want to continue to pat youon the back, applaud you, uh
for your increase in your fresh waterofferings. Here we we got a good
bit. Now, Um I didn'tlook yet. Did we have some crapy
stuff of it? Oh? Allright, that's what I thought. That
stuff for the shed and um soyeah, bass lures. I'm I'm trying

(01:06:06):
to get there and I'm, likeI said, that's not my my specialty.
But uh, like I said,I'm make sure I got a little
bit of everything for everybody. Wellthat's good because you're kind of located in
an area where there's not many options. So people, you know, there's
a lot of fresh water fishermen thatlive right around here, and you know,
the accessibility is incredible when you talkabout Hagley right over there, and
and a lot of people, alot of your customers live on the waterway.

(01:06:29):
Um. So also I want toremind everybody that Paul's out on Outdoors
is a way station as well asa registration station for the Grand Strem Fishing
Rodeo. Um. I've had severalpeople way in fish here. It was
awesome, uneventful, UM. Andall I'm asking is that you use the
contact info that we have on ourwebsite before you come here. Call let

(01:06:50):
them know so they have the scaleready. Uh. These guys stay busy
here. They they're they're busy sellingproduct, selling, selling a dream here,
getting people excited about fishing and hunting. But they are here ready to
weigh your fish. So just givethem a call, let them know if
you're coming, and make sure youget down here and get your get your

(01:07:12):
weight, and uh try to helpthem get You know, we're having a
little competition among way stations and it'skind of a spoop, but it really
is a competition that we haven't mentionedyet, but um, we're it would
it would be it would be greatif you would get some of your better
fishermen to sign up and start fishingso you can get some winds. We
call it the hats, the bluehats and the shirts. Get it get

(01:07:36):
it going down here because you dohave a lot of great fishermen that come
here. Um. And that's anotherthing that helps with your job too,
is you know when you got theguides that come and shop here and they
say, hey, will, thisis what we want to try, we
need this, and man, youyou get it for them. I mean,
and that's what it's all about.I try to have a little bit
of everything, and except if youwant it and then I can get it,

(01:07:58):
I will definitely put it in putit in the inventory. So far,
how's it looking for Bally who?You loaded up Medium's large horse whatever
you want, I got plenty allright. Well listen, I don't even
want to start talking about Apperil.I mean, this place has gone from
having Paul's Island Outdoors shirts and andUH Africa and one other line to now
carrying extensive lines back there in theapparel section of the store. Now,

(01:08:24):
so come back, you said youmentioned marsh Ware. You got marsh Wear,
Dude, that stuff is awesome.Grunding a Co Extra tough. Um.
Actually, right now we're got anywherefrom thirty to fifty percent off on
all of our clothing af CoA UMand Marsh weare and Numa and element UH
need to make room for the newstuff. That's coming in spring. So

(01:08:48):
um, coming down and Juma iswhat I would compare to Sitka? Is
that right? Is that the one? Or is it element? Which one
one of those is probably their highend uh camouflage line, right, but
that's I got. Most of allof our camouflage items are fifty percent off
right now? Wow? All right, so hey y'all, come on down
here, go check him out andonce again hours now y'all, are y'all,

(01:09:11):
are y'all running on a winter hours? Oh seven, seven am to
six pm. There you go,polks, seven am to six pm.
Plenty time to get down here, come away your pitch, get registered to
come back here. You don't wantto go online, just stop right on
in here and get signed up withWill and them. But come down Will,
thanks for taking the time. We'llbe back very We will not be
back in two months, we'll beback before it is. But anyway,

(01:09:34):
we're gonna go back to the studio. Or wait a minute, now we're
hanging out at Barking Dog. Let'sgo to Barking Dog and see who we
got sitting with us. Now,all right, Fish says, welcome back
to the Southern Actress Radio show.Hey, We're coming to you live via
the Toyota Tound of Studio presented bySparks Toyota where the dealer is always in,
and by Qus Boats and Morrison Marinoof Lake City and Georgetown, where
every day is a boat shook everyday. We are coming to you via

(01:09:56):
the Barking Dog and Kenny I inthe room. Yeah, man, you
just snapped that right up now,I did, go ahead. It's the
Freedom Boat Club helps out with bringingthis. You know that too. And
you know with the Freedom Boat Club, your boat is always waiting. It
is always waiting, kih. Andtoday is not a good day to be
waiting on your boat. So comeout and enjoy some oysters. And uh
Matt Varnadoor right now from walcome alloutfitters. Here is the hero, isn't

(01:10:18):
he? He is the hero?He is? He is at the car
wash there washing up a batch ofoysters. And then we're gonna go to
seven Seas and grab up the otherbushels that we're waiting on and get them
into washing basket. And here comesthe one and only flounder pounder flounded rounded
money. How you ran people offwhen you mentioned washing oysters. Yeah,

(01:10:40):
everybody less can Soon as we soonas we started talking about washing oysters,
everybody ran out to what's up?Pounder? What's up? Man weak Al?
Captain Jason himself? Burton is here? Yep, I have team to
wash some oysters. Miss out.I missed out here to Washington. He's

(01:11:00):
going with me. Oh yeah,he's going with me. Where are you
going to wash him at? We'regoing to call Washington. But it ain't
up basket. Ain't up with onebasket, I know, I mean four
of you can't wash horses at onetime. Well, we gotta go pick
up the ones in paper or theones from seven seas, and then we'll
drop them off and do whatever youcan. Be like a state road crew.
What's that? One guy working therest, one guy working? Anybody

(01:11:23):
watching? That sounds like a goodidea. One one, Yeah, we're
gonna draw straws to see who spendsthe wheel. I gotta go home because
I blow up some balloons and tieout on the entranceway because some people say
that it's hard to see the littleroad coming in here. So I'm gonna
put some balloons out there on themailbox and stuff so people know how to
get here. Yes, works great, man. Just put in barking dogs

(01:11:43):
taver. It comes right up.Yeah, it's right up, yep,
And it's easy. It's only youmight think your GPS is crazy right when
you see here when you start comingdown that road. But well, keep
going. The road is a niceso I noticed they paved it. I
mean, what a nice improvement. You know, you remember years ago the
d we came here and had cocktailsand the Dinghy played bumper cars, bumper
trees all the way out of here. Yeah. That that that drive out

(01:12:08):
of here is like an instant uhduy checkpoint. If you can't get out,
turn around and park your car.If you get the tree, get
the trees back up, and parkyour car. It is basically a sobriety
test before you get on the road. So it certainly is that should be
fair. I mean, yeah, hey, navigate that that particular way out
of here. There's two ways inand out of here. So, Jason,

(01:12:30):
so you heard our interview with thechief I did. Um. Yeah,
Richard's awesome. Are you interested?Am I interested? Absolutely? I'd
love for him to come down andcook for some of the m IFC crew
and make that a little deal afterthe get off the radio. I think
Jason would more enjoy me been playingbar. I'm not gonna lie when he
said he was gonna bartend. Oh, dude, just had instant flashbacks of
memories that I have of him bartendingat numerous associations that he's bartended that you

(01:12:54):
know, TGI Friday's Dead Dog stuff, and man, I'd love that.
Come parting for you, buddy, anytime, Um, anytime. I just
want to know how he's gonna doit one handed, because he's gonna have
to have that dang only one handtexting and trying to make drinks and serving
with the other hand. I wantto see this. We'll get him one
of those Bluetooth headphones where he can. I got them. I got the
earbuds, yeah, iPod what budsor whatever you call them, eyebuds or

(01:13:17):
whatever they called you. I gotthem eyebuds, budever they're called. I
don't know. Anyway, we gotto talk fishing, and dude, Um,
you went out this week. Iwent out to shoot some videos and
stuff, and you went down south. This is where I'm trying to understand.
Why would you go down there toshoot videos when you got this beautiful
body of water here that you fishin all the south. Now where south

(01:13:38):
did you go? Oh? God, where didn't they go? Yeah?
We went, We went everywhere. We went from South Sante to Georgetown North
thenlet he was in north he wastexting me from north Land and then he
starts texting me he's at another creekthat is eight miles south of Yeah,
of South South Island. We did, we did some running, but we've
been talking about it. Um,you know we've all fished down south.

(01:14:00):
I mean, what an incredible fisheryit is. Apparentually you enjoyed yourself seeing
some beautiful country. Yeah, Imean it's it's nice. I mean,
nothing against Merles in it, butwe see it every day. And you
know, for myself, Captain Chris, Captain Jimmy, Captain Nick, we
all went down there and the generalthing is we want to go down there
and you know, try to challengeourselves in a newer fishery, something that

(01:14:23):
we're not, you know, onehundred percent familiar with like Merles and that
we know every rock, every bumpand stuff and um, so it was
kind of cool to say, hey, let's just take you know, three
or four flat spots down there, let's all spread out and see we can
figure out. It was actually alot of fun. We didn't really catch
a whole lot well on the fly. On the you're gonna be successful and
all for fly fish. And Ithink they're probably going to have to spend

(01:14:45):
a good bit of time down theredoing it, Yes, and that that
is part of what we're looking atis doing you know, some of our
you know regulars that go out withus that do want to do the fly
fishing, you know, take themto Georgetown and other places that are better
suited for it. Merles. Youcan catch fish on the fly, don't
get me wrong. But if you'veever been to Georgetown, you know,
Jones Creek at low tide and seenone of those schools of redfish, yep,

(01:15:08):
you're not going to see that,Merls. Or the blood tide,
Yeah, flood tide. Get upon the flats. You know the accessibility
down there and the different flats,I mean just going to North endlet yeah,
you got so many more and anduh, you know the video I
watched some of the videos that Jimmyput up. Um running in the quarter,
I call him a quarter drain, but ditch is what it looked like,

(01:15:30):
yeah, we we learned, butyou know, just like anybody else,
we learned, and we learned atthe expense of our boats. So
there are a couple of things thathave to be repaired. We did,
in fact, hit a couple objectshard enough to where we have to repair
stuff. That's what you were textingme. Yeah, yeah, we went
into Mother Norton as they call it, huh and uh, well we'll put
it this way. The score isMother Norton three Gelcoat zero, So we

(01:15:55):
have three three repairs on three boatswhere we hit rocks and you know,
missed a ninety degree turn and stufflike that. But it was a lot
of fun. But once you gotback up into Mother Norton, got past
him rocks, how do you likeit? Oh my god, it's beautiful.
I fished her maybe twice my wholelife. Um, we were really,
really fortunate. Sarah Bryson was ourguide that day, so she took

(01:16:16):
her John boat and kind of showedus. You know, we were more
interested in the safe tracks. Um. You know, with modern day GPS,
once you lay a track down,it'll stay on there for a while,
so we can go back and youknow, navigate safely. But it
was man, it was wild.Well a girl can drive too. She
took off through the little I meanthis area was probably two foot wide and

(01:16:38):
she's ping ponging off the grass andwe're like, all right, we got
two choices. We could either gofast and keep up with her, or
we're gonna get lost. So wewent for it, and of course we
racked about, you know, threetimes, but it's all funny games.
Leave it up to a woman totry and push your push y'all to the
limit. Um, that's awesome.Scott Todd just texted and said that there

(01:17:00):
I forgot about the Garden City carwash. We could go there too.
They got two baskets. Yep,that's a good idea. Father Son's welding.
By the way, any any weldingyou need done, you need to
call them. Well doing any trophy? Yeah, I don't even the artwork
they do and all the stuff theydo for like NASCAR and stuff is absolutely
phenomenal if you've never seen it.Yep. So we do have another option

(01:17:21):
that's smart, that is two basketsover there. We can go over there
and knock these other ten bushels outquick. Um that's great. Well,
uh, so you had a seminarlast week. I started, I got
to stay for a little while. You're a seminar, but a good crowd
over there. It was a goodcrowd, you know, there was good
questions and stuff. I thought WayneHardy did a great job with Red Pish.

(01:17:44):
I think he started with awesome. How he started, it was awesome.
I've taught to him. I've taughthim and obviously I know him from
fishing. I've never seen him doa presentation. He was extremely entertaining.
Um I tasted the time or monotone. They kind of tell you the facts,
which is great information. I meanhe got up there and was like
hey, you know, and started, you know, and it was good

(01:18:06):
entertainment. So yeah, he gotthe crowd in balls. Yeah yeah,
I mean that's what you gotta do. I mean, you don't want him
back there. He had you andme and ball people. Yeah. Yeah,
he got my attention. So itwas it was great, good time
and a lot of great tips wereshared. YEA. Hopefully everybody gets out
there and puts them to work.Now. The other thing is, you
know, I haven't seen Jason Burtonway a fish in the rodeo of this

(01:18:27):
month I haven't been fishing. We'rein that process of fixing all the boats,
so we kind of dedicated a twoweek stretched and said no fishing,
We're just gonna, you know, fix all the things on the boats.
Get ready, m I will tellyou. Captain Justin on ambush and Captain
Quinton is back from his duck huntingguiding thing in Maryland. They went out
this week and did really really welland sheep had and black drum. Yeah,

(01:18:47):
Justin has now got the lead forsheep's head and per black drum.
I think I might have to doubletrack check on the black drum because I
did. Pauli's al On Outdoors hada black drum wade yesterday, so I'm
up to double check. But Ithink Justin has a leading both. And
he sent me a picture of oneway that was six point six six yeah,

(01:19:08):
and I sent it to a coupleof people and he said that Crystal
looked at him and said, doyou want me to write six point six
five down? Yeah? And UhI would have done, yeah, give
me six point six. But alot of fish wade in UH had a
eighteen pound catfish wade from a younglady in Conway that called it all her
doc. That's awesome on the river. Yep, she was so excited.

(01:19:30):
Um. She went in to wayand Ronald actually had taken the day off.
He had some stuff to do,so his hand was there. Wade.
That did a great job, gotme good pictures. Just took us
a couple of days to get him. But I'm gonna get that up her
weight. I'm I don't think Iput it up there on the website yet,
but the biggest catfish caught so fareighteen pounds. Tebon's got his work
cut out. And he's listening too, by the way, he's listening right

(01:19:55):
now because he just texted me.But yes, t Bone, you got
your, you got your You're infor it this month. You need to
get out there and better that eighteenpound or good luck with that. And
if you don't show up today,I got your ticket and I will take
your money. You don't need itto a really good calls if you don't
show up, that's right. Remember, folks, once again, one hundred

(01:20:16):
dollars raffle tickets are gone. Okayfor today they are. We here's the
thing. It is good to havethem all sold. Trust me, it's
a great feeling because Jason will vouchfor it. The most nervous you get
is coming into the day of theevent and having twenty or thirty tickets left
that you've got to sell before youdo it. Yeah. Absolutely, because

(01:20:38):
in this situation, you know, the winner would receive the five thousand,
and we would take it off theback end. But like in the World
Championship Spanish Tournament, that is thatother half is our prize, that is
the grand prize, and you needthat money. Yeah, And I mean,
I'm just gonna throw this out there. There's a strong possibility that once

(01:21:00):
we meet me, Jason Seth andJay Bache that we may have two hundred
hundred dollars tickets and we may doten thousand dollars this year for the Spanish
tournament. Um. Jason's shaking hishead like, okay, I mean we
can we can do it. MeNo, dude, we had so many
people wanting tickets remember last year whenthey were gone? Yeah? Yeah,
well that's the thing. Even liketoday, I'm like I said, this

(01:21:24):
event, you know, tickets aresold out. Um, hey, but
don't fear we still we have otherdrawings. We have another drawing. That's
what i'd get okay, perfect,So we got other things. So we
have ten dollars tickets yep, fivehundred cash. Whoever wins at wins five
hundred cash. We have ten dollarstickets unlimited. We're selling. I just
put fifty bucks into joy so we'resome really steep bar tab. You might

(01:21:45):
have trouble with that winnings Yep,well that five thousand's gonna even be five
thousand. You're gonna be dancing onthe roof you out here ten to get
a ticket in fact, yourself, absolutely, I saved myself a couple.
Okay, good, we're I'm hopingto win the most unlucky person ever in
uh. When it comes to drawingnumbers, he says this every time I
have straight up, I have neverwon a raffle drawing in the history that

(01:22:10):
I can remember, and into thetop or the load the final ten.
Yeah, and you know the onlychance I've ever had was the Spanish Derby.
If you do a reverse raffle, that plays into my strength that you're
gonna pull mine right at the end, because you're never gonna pull it for
a winner. So I don't knowwhat it is. I'm very very lucky
in a lot of things, butwhen it comes to like raffles and drawings,
just I never never win. Soin the in the new additional raffle,

(01:22:33):
we have four prizes, right DenisePour, we have poor additional prizes
and then we have the five hundredcash. So we're got five winners in
this additional one. So we're gonnapull the first ticket. They're gonna win
a prize package, second ticket, third ticket, fourth ticket, and then
the final ticket or the fifth ticketdrawing will win the five hundred cash.

(01:22:53):
That's awesome, and uh yeah,so it's a great time. And uh,
you know, we got to mentionall of our wonderful sponsors, UM
Rigging Ready Fishing Center. What yousay, hell long minutes two minutes Rigging
Ready Pishing Center up and holding beach. Go up and see Kevin and his
crew get all of you need offshorefishing, wahoo pishing right now, He's

(01:23:15):
got it all. Move back downsouth and go to another place. Is
comparable if I mean, these twoare just the best tackle companies outfitters around
Jason and that is Paul's on Outdoorswill tay low again. He's loaded for
bear right now. Uh merles InletFishing Charters Jason get A. This is
the time of the year to hirethese guys to go on your boat.

(01:23:38):
This is the time to get themto go on the boat. Give you
do that onboard seminar. We absolutelylove those. Do the onboard seminar,
especially if you just bought a brandnew boat and you're unsure of how to
you know, dial in that sonaror those electronics. We can get on
there and actually show you how touse your electronics to help you find fishing
catcher. And they'll also show youhow to navigate let. Despite their trials

(01:24:00):
and tribulations in north Enland, theycan show you that's a handy dandy thing
to have. It is. It'slike anything else. I mean, we
we've always told the story. Youknow, I fished Georgetown a lot and
kind of didn't go a whole lotof places. And I went with Fred
Rourke a couple of times, andwe did a paid guide trip down her
and they're like, why would youpay somebody to take you fishing? The
amount of stuff that I learned Iused ten years later. Ye, well

(01:24:24):
that I'm perfect. And I'll tellyou the other thing. Marshall's Mareene.
I want to mention another radio showthat I do with them every Tuesday.
We're doing a deal through the endof March. If you buy a boat
from Marshall's and mentioned that you heardus there or on here, you heard
me talking about it, you gottatell your salesman that you heard me talking

(01:24:44):
about it. We are going tothrow me in for three hours with you.
I'm gonna go over everything back inthe trailer down, getting the boat
ready to launch it, everything we'regonna get in the water. We're gonna
talk about navigation, We're gonna tellabout safety, We're gonna do everything.
We may fish for little bit. It's not a fishing. It is more
or less educating you on the boatand how to use it. And the

(01:25:05):
value of that is, don't youit's a lot, Yes, exactly.
So I'm gonna take Tony's lesson thatTony gave me on the back of the
trailer down and we're gonna throw thatin there. But anyway, super Jenna
is like, really she hain't wow, you can't hear it, but she's
telling us to get out of here. Listen, y'all come out hang out
with us at Barking Dog. We'llbe here all afternoon. Food starts around

(01:25:26):

great time. Thanks to the BarkingDog for having us here. Thanks to
all you guys for coming out,Brad, thanks to Dave Rat, Thanks

on out with us this afternoon. Can you get us out of here?
It's right, folks, and don'tforget come on over to the Stevens Benefit

half product today only today only. That's right. So we're back to talk

(01:26:08):

producer who's driving this bus and reallytrying to keep us in our lane right
about now, Yes she is,and told me the Massmaster Carter Athny English
Glover, I'm Kiddie Moore and thishas been the Southern Acress Raiders show on
