Speaker 1 (00:48):
Hello lovelies, and Happy Wednesday. Yes, I love Wednesdays. I
don't know why, I just do. But I am Terry
true Crime and welcome to Midday Missing, where we highlight
current missing person cases that need more attention. Now, we
live stream shows every Monday and Wednesday at noon Central time. Okay, Now,

(01:13):
before we get into our show, I have some exciting
news in case you haven't heard. Our new show TMI,
which stands for Too Much Internet, will air every Friday
night live at nine pm Eastern eight pm Central. Now,
our first episode is this Friday, September nineteenth, for everyone, Okay. Now,

(01:39):
the first Friday of every month will be for everyone,
but the other Fridays of the month will be for
members only. Okay. TMI is a show where our team
of brave chronically online hosts have created the best weekly
roundup of the strangest, funniest, and most confusing things that

(02:02):
happen on the Internet. Guys, it's going to be unhinged. Okay,
it's going to be unhinged. So you're definitely going to
want to join us. Okay, you're gonna want to, But
let's go ahead. Before we jump into today's cases, be
sure to have that like button and subscribe if you

(02:24):
have not yet. It's totally free and it helps get
the algorithm gods to do whatever they do so that
more people can find us and find out about these
cases and help us get the word out. Okay, now
let's hedd on over to Michigan for today's case. Okay, guys,

(02:45):
I am working everything behind the scenes as well, so
for those of you that are new here, it takes
me a little bit, but I eventually get it. Hey, lady,
how were you? Glad you were here? Welcome? So, like

(03:07):
I said, we're heading over to Michigan today. Okay. Now,
Stephen Paul Radishaw wasn't the kind of person who made waves, okay.
He lived a quiet life in the small town of
Eaton Rapids, Michigan. He was unassuming and private, okay. At

(03:28):
fifty nine years old, Stephen was described by those who
knew him as reserved but a kind man, and he
mostly kept to himself. Now. He was six foot four.
That's a tall man, okay. Anyway, approximately three hundred and
fifty pounds. He had hazel eyes and brown hair, guys,

(03:50):
making him physically hard to miss. The guys. Somehow, Stephen
disappeared and almost no one noticed. Okay. It was the
evening of October fourth, twenty nineteen, when Stephen was last
seen at us home. There was nothing remarkable or unusual
about the day, no cause for help, no signs of distress,

(04:14):
nothing odd. But in the days that followed, no one
heard from him. Okay. When families reached out and got
no response, Guys, they begin to worry because he was
usually at home and they could reach him. Now, on
October eighth, they officially reported Stephen missing to the Eton

(04:36):
Rapids Police Department. Now, his disappearance came just months after
the death of his mother, a loss that we can
only imagine undoubtedly affected him deeply because she also lived
with him until her passing. They were close, so without
her presence and support, it's unclear how Stephen was coping emotionally. Okay, Yet,

(05:02):
there were no known threats, no indication that Stephen intended
to leave, Guys. There was also no evidence of foul play. Now,
when investigators arrived at his home, there were very few clues.
There was no forced entry, nothing appeared to be stolen,
and while there hasn't been any confirmation of what he

(05:25):
was wearing or carrying with him when he went missing.
His vehicle and his other personal items reportedly remained untouched. Okay,
this trail was cold almost immediately now, search efforts by
local authorities were limited by a lack of leads. Stephen

(05:46):
didn't have a large digital footprint either. There were no
new financial transactions, no phone activity, no social media updates. Sorry, guys,
Without surveillance footage or eye witness account the case was stalled. Now,
for his loved ones, the lack of answers has been agonizing,

(06:08):
and the absence of media coverage and the silence surrounding
his case only compounds their pain. Okay, it's as if
Stephen simply vanished from the face of the earth, and
with no public pressure or national spotlight, the investigation has
faded from view. Well, Radishaw family, We're here to do

(06:30):
what we can to help get the word out. I
know it's not a lot, but hopefully it will help. Now,
six years later, his case remains unsolved. It is still
listed as an active missing person case with the National
Missing and Unidentified Person System. The Eaton rappens To Police

(06:50):
Department continues to request any information that might help piece
together what happened. To him. Okay, Stephen didn't live a
flashy or public life, but guys, he mattered. Okay, he
had people who care about him and he deserves answers. Now, guys,

(07:12):
I've said this before. It is impossible, almost virtually impossible,
for someone to go missing without note grace. Okay. Someone
had to have seen something or heard something. So if
you have any information, no matter how small, your urge
to contact the Eton Rapids Police Department at five one

(07:35):
seven six six 'y three eight one one eight. Someone
out there has heard something, seen something, And guys, it's
time for Stephen's story to be heard all around. Okay,
so let's be sure to share and get the word out. Well, Hello,

(07:56):
it looks like we have some more people here. Welcome,
motion to scream, Welcome, Michael Green, Chili and on top,
and the famous Lama is here. Hello Lama, and welcome. Now. Guys,
if you know of or have a loved one missing
and are interested in us featuring their story on an

(08:19):
upcoming episode, or if they want to join us for
a live interview, you can contact Amy, our assistant producer,
by email at Amy at tcwtmedia dot com, or you
can email me Terry at tcwtmedia dot com, or you
can send us a DM on our Facebook page or guys,

(08:42):
any of our social media's Okay, any of them, you
can do that. Now, let's talk about the summer of
twenty twenty. Katie Lynnbotts, also known as katiebots Lopez, vanished
from Lansing, Michigan. Guys. She was just twenty six years
old when she went missing, and despite years of searching,

(09:07):
her case still remains unsolved. Okay. She is described as
a warm, caring and deeply loved by her family. Okay.
Katie was between five foot three five foot six. She
weighed about one hundred and twenty to one hundred and
fifty pounds and had blonde strawberry blondish hair with hazel

(09:29):
green eyes. Now. At the time she went missing, Katie
was wearing a black T shirt, black Nike Timmy shoes
with that white swishmark, and a silver ring on her
right hand. Katie was a very familiar face in Lancing, Okay.
She spent time around the intersection of Saginaw Street and

(09:49):
Martin Luther King ju Junior Boulevard, which was a very
busy area near the city's north side. Now between June
fifteenth and June twenty eight, twenty twenty, Katie abruptly stopped
responding to calls and messages. Okay. Family and friends grew
concerned when she went silent because they say, this is

(10:11):
something that is very unlike her. Okay. When efforts to
reach her failed, her loved ones reported her missing to
the Lancing Police Department. Detective Shannon the Thelem was involved
in the initial inquiry, and Katie's information was entered into
the National Missing and Unidentified also name is NamUs database,

(10:34):
and the Sitting of Lansing added her to its official
list of long term missing persons. Now, investigators struggled from
the beginning. Once again, no surveillance footage captured Katie and
no solid eyewitness accounts placed her after mid June, and

(10:56):
there have been no obvious leads and guys without once
again evidence, the trail has gone cold. Now Katie's family
has spoken publicly about their heartbreak and their determination to
find her. They have participated in interviews, distributed flyers, and
they have kept her names circulating on social media. Okay,

(11:19):
they are doing everything they can. Community members in Lansing
join those efforts. They have organized online awareness campaigns and
they too have been sharing missing person posters. Katie's family
has said, like I said, she was a very kind
and sweet person and she had a huge heart. Now

(11:42):
it's been more than five years, Katie is still missing
and authorities continue to list her as an open case,
but no major developments have been announced. Guys, here I
go again. I should just make this my tagline. People
do not just disappear off the face of the earth.
An alien spaceship did not come down and beam her up. Okay,

(12:09):
someone somewhere had to see something. Someone knows something. Also, Guys,
if something nefarious happened and another person did it, they
may be talking about it because Lord knows secrets? Are
you know not? You know? Always secret? Michael. She is

(12:31):
twenty six at the time she went missing. Okay. Now,
Lancing asked that any information please be brought to them.
They are like, we don't care. If it's a rumor,
we don't care, if it's hearsay times ten, we don't care.
They want you to call them. They are asking that
you call Lancing PD at five one, seven, four eight,

(12:54):
three forty six hundred. Now. Anonymous tips can also be
submitted through crime Stoppers or through FBI dot gov backslash tips. Guys,
I want you to remember this. Katie was more than
just a name on a missing person list. Okay. She's
a beloved daughter, sister, and friend. Her disappearance have left

(13:16):
a void in the lives of those who love her. Guys.
They are going to bed every night wondering where she is.
They wake up in the morning wondering is she getting breakfast?
Is she safe? Okay, So someone knows what happened, and
until the truth comes to light, her family and community

(13:39):
are not going to stop searching. So I'm going to
ask us to all do our part, and let's please
be sure to share Stephen and Katie's missing person flyers
and help the family keep their loved one stories alive. Guys,
you can also share this on YouTube, Okay, share it

(14:04):
wherever you can so we can help these families. Now.
On Monday, I shared with you some disaster tips because
it is disaster Awareness Month, so I'm confining my outside
world with this world. Okay, but today I want to

(14:25):
share some basic home safety tips because guys, believe it
or not, disasters can happen at home, and prevention and
preparedness is key. Okay. Big thing. Test your smoke alarms
monthly and change the batteries at least once a year.
We change ours on tax day. Okay, April fifteenth, it's

(14:46):
time to change out batteries. Also, guys, keep a fire
extinguisher in the kitchen and know how to use it. Okay.
Nothing worse than not knowing how to use a fire extinguisher.
It looks really simple. It is somewhat simple, but there
is a technique to it. Never leave cooking items undattended

(15:07):
on the range top. Grease can pop and things can
boil over and start a fire. Another thing, guys, never
ever pour water on a grease fire. Just trust me.
I can tell you this from experience. It does not
turn out well. And when you put water on that
grease fire and the fire expands, it catches the cabinets

(15:29):
on fire in the kitchen. Just trust me. Okay, you
don't want to do that. Also, guys, I've said this before.
Lock your doors in windows at home, Okay, keep them
locked now. I know if you're like me, you like
to open the windows and stuff, and that's fine, but
definitely at night time, lock them. If you keep your

(15:51):
car outside, be sure to keep the windows closed and
the car locked, take your valuables inside. Okay. And do not,
and I repeat, do not hide keys under your doormat. Okay,
that is just asking for someone to come on in. Okay,

(16:12):
at least get a fake rock, mix it with other rocks,
or get a door lock that has a code, because
you don't want to do that. Okay. Also, guys, if
you can put motion sensor lights by all doors that
lead into the house, that will a lot of times
to turn people away because first of all, it startles

(16:32):
and they're like, oh, light, I should take off running right.
Have candles and flashlights available in case of power outage. Okay. Now,
this next one is not a real tip for everybody,
but is tip for double h Okay, always make sure
Terry has coffee and wine okay, always always yes on

(17:01):
top backup light source and water supply. I talked about
that last week our last Monday. Making sure you have food,
water documents, all of that kind of stuff. It is
very important, Okay, it is very very important. Now, I
do want to thank you all for joining me today.
I'll look forward to seeing you again on Monday for
