you out. Yes, I know, I appreciate it, absolutely, sir.
I wanted to be away from that place. I was
trying to move. I was trying to do everything to
get away from them because of that board. Yes, sir,
I just knew it was gonna come to this. I
just knew it.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
I just couldn't have it. But I couldn't stop.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
It's just a matter of time, just run out of time.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Let me put shoes on.

Speaker 1 (01:10):

You would have killed us olive. I had to take
him out. That's the way I feel about it. It's
just a matter of time. He's a gang member type,

(01:38):
you know, come from gang members.

Speaker 6 (01:41):
You know.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
I'm scared.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
I tried to turn myself in down the street because
I was afraid that would shoot me there in the yard.
I didn't want my wife to see that, sir. So
I went down to the church and I tried to
turn myself in, and the copter told me to go

(02:05):
back home. So I went back home. What, sir, so,
I went back home.

Speaker 5 (02:12):
Yes, sir, everything went okay there, okay.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
I didn't want to hurt nobody. I just I don't
know what happened. I just lost my.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Mind, I understand. So I lost control and I had
a gun in my face and I went off.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
That's what happened.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Yes, sir, I have to see the gun, I said,
boy to right at me, So I ran in my
room and I grabbed my gun. When I come back,
he was halfway down the hall with a gun and
I thought he's gonna shoot me with it, Yes, So
I shot him, yes, sir. And I didn't stop shooting him,

(02:51):
I don't think because I was.

Speaker 7 (02:54):
I understand that you uh, you've been talking to death Digress,
telling your side the story.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
What happened today, so makes it happen. I'd like to
I'd like to hear what happened today. I woke up
there was all arguing in the house.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
It was like, we've got this girl that's been staying
with it, yes, staying with my son.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
She's like the devils, just like the devil, you know
what I'm saying. And who is that the girl? I
don't know what her last name, Okay, what's her first name?

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Samantha okay, And she keeps the house in a complete uproar.
And I was asking my wife this morning, my ex wife,
if she could have victorr the server formal evention because
she was driving me crazy the whole situation. And she

(03:54):
said she was at her wits end.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
With it too. But they had it handled back in
my room. Tried to ignore.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
It, still going on. So I jumped in the bath
and tried to soak it out. You know, all I
could do is hear him yelling and screaming in another
room about it. And I got out of my bathtub
and I told him, look, if you don't get her

(04:25):
out of here, you know it's going to destroy this
whole house.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
Will you just serve her eviction? I said, if you don't,
I gotta leave.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
No.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
No, I forgot. Yeah, And I don't really know what
happened from there.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
My son said something about you're not going to do
anything to nobody, and he started going in an outrage
and said he was going to hurt me or something.
I can hurt him yelling something from the other room.
And I know how he is. So I was already
looking for a weapon because I knew he was coming
when I looked at the door he was coming.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
From. When he looked out the door out of the bedroom,
door out.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
Of the bedroom, do okay, I seen him coming and
his mama was in between him trying to push him away. Okay,
So while she was pushing away, I ran and got
her gun.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
Okay.

Speaker 7 (05:23):
The family dynamic, it's you and your wife were ex
wife living there yes, okay, and that is that's when uh, Linda,
yes okay, and your son yes okay, and what's his name?

Speaker 3 (05:45):
Christopher?

Speaker 1 (05:47):
Everything was kind of foggy after that, but I know
we was tousling. He said something about you ain't gonna
pull no gun on me, and is my heart Linda
was between us, the mother, and he was trying to
get to me, and I guess I was trying to
get to him.

Speaker 3 (06:09):
We were tussling, right, he knocked the gun out of
my hand.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
The gun went across the room. He went running for
the gun. I knew it was gonna happen next, okay,
so I ran for another gun.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Gun. I had my gun.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
I ran for my gun because I knew he had
a gun at that point, so I ran another way.
When I come back, she was trying to get him
to stop again. He had the gun over his shoulder,
pointed it right at my face and said, you ain't
gonna point no gun at me ever again. And that's
when I shot him.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
And when I shot him, I seen him moving.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
This I think I did best as I can remember.
I thought I saw him move again, so I unloaded
the gun.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
Okay, what's Christopher's last name Rome, Christopher Rome.

Speaker 7 (07:12):
As he your son of your steps step so, okay,
how long has he been your steps he?

Speaker 3 (07:18):
Since I married his mama? How long has that been?
When'd y'all get married?

Speaker 7 (07:24):
I don't remember the ten years, five years ago, ten
years ago, twenty.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
I've probably been with her twenty two years, twenty two years.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
It's been a second too.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
I've been struck you a yeah, with lightning, so I
can't remember some times you.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
Got struck by lightning? Yes, the head? They said, how
long it was?

Speaker 6 (07:43):
That?

Speaker 1 (07:45):
About fifteen years ago. I've suffered mental illness from it
since I didn't need to be in that environment, and
I've tried to leave at many times.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
Do you take anything for your mental illness?

Speaker 2 (07:59):
What do you take?

Speaker 3 (08:01):
I smoked the medical marijuana?

Speaker 2 (08:03):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (08:03):
What have you been diagnosed with before? The illness?

Speaker 1 (08:07):
She gets a friend of you. I don't know, antisocial,
I poll her. I don't know everything.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
Probably it's been terrible, yeah, for how long? A long time?

Speaker 2 (08:29):
What causes it to be terrible?

Speaker 8 (08:30):
Besides the girl and him, I mean their demeanor, disrespectful,
all of that.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
They threatened us. They threatened us with violence.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
She's threatened our home with gang members coming after us.
Been a constant state of fear over there, you know.
And his dad's an enforcer for the Sons of Silence,
and he's threatened me. You know what I'm saying. It's
like I'm tonastantly being threatened. I felt like I was
in a state of fear all the time. Sure, and

(09:04):
that's just where we got too much, understand and it broke.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
It broke me. It broke me all he could say.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
I just snapped.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
I saw a gun in my face, and I pulled
the trigger.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
And I didn't stop pulling.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
It because I think I was freaking out.

Speaker 8 (09:25):
Understand Well, he's writing, what kind of gun was the
one you shot him with? I don't know, but you
said it was your gun, though, right?

Speaker 3 (09:34):
I think it was my wife's gun I shot him with.
Is that the one that's in the car.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
I think that's my gun that was in the car?
What kind of short gun is your gun that was
in the car? The man?

Speaker 3 (09:49):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (09:50):
And what was her good? What caliber was that? Forty
Smith and Wesson? Can you take.

Speaker 8 (09:55):
Him through how or what kind of words or what
the argument was about? How did everything start? Did it
start this morning or did it start just prior to
this happened on forever, but today as far how did
things escalate today?

Speaker 2 (10:12):
She was throwing the furniture out of the house. That's
the girlfriend. Yeah, that's what I got up to. They
was telling me, you know what that crazy bitch is
outside doing right.

Speaker 1 (10:21):
Now, And I was like what, And then she's she's
throwing the furniture out on the fire pit. Could have
burned the furniture they just bought yesterday. I said, God damn,
I don't want to hear this shit today. You know
I can't hear no more of this.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
I told her.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
I said, Linda, go down there and get a fucking
eviction notice on that woman. I'll pay for it my
goddamn self. I said, just go do it, Just get
that bitch out of here before she ruins our household.
And she said, I've had enough of it myself. I've
got to do something. I said, well, all you got

(10:58):
to do is server eviction and get her the fuck
out of here. She said, I'm not ready to do
that because of Chris. You know what Chris will do.
Chris will go crazy over that shit. You know I
was getting involved in it. I said, I know, lend
of a goddamn you know, this shit can't keep going
on like this. You know, every day it's just turmoil, turmoil, turmoil.

(11:19):
He's yelling, they're yelling, they're yelling at each other. He's threatening,
she's threatening. You know, she's threatening our family with violence
from other people. You know, he's threatening her violence. I'm
gonna kill you, bitch. You know he's gonna kill his
own girlfriend. You know, it's every fucking day. It's everybody.
Everybody in the households everybody. You know, I'm just gonna

(11:39):
lend us to my I'm gonna kill myself because I
just can't fucking put up with the ship no more.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
When does the girlfriend or your wife, my wife, his mother.
She said, y'all gonna give me a goddamn heart attack.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
I just can't deal with the ship no more, you know,
And it just kept stacking on me. And every time
she'd say something's like, goddamn, you know I feel that.
You know, this ship's got to end. It's got a
fucking end somewhere. And then when he pulled that gun
on me, that's it.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
Well I shot.

Speaker 7 (12:12):
So you said that that Chris and his mama were arguing, right,
they were arguing. You know, they were arguing. I was
in the bathtub, okay, and do what were they arguing about?

Speaker 1 (12:27):
You know, that girl, the fact that we need to
get rid of her ass out of the house. You know,
she's burning the furniture out on the fire pit, you know,
and they just bought yesterday. And she was saying, you're
never gonna have nothing with this woman. As long as
you're with this woman, you're never gonna have anything, Chris,
get away from this crazy bitch.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
And so you get out of the bathtub.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
And then what I get out of the bathtub, and
I went in there and said, look, I can't hear the.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
Ship no more to his bedroom or to where they were.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
In the living room. I was in the bathroom. I said,
I can't listen to this shit no more. I can't,
you know, making me fucking go over the board. I said,
I got to get out of here. I was starting
to lose it. I'm telling you I was. I was
losing it at that point. I was already I can
feel it. I was going insane. And I told him,

(13:18):
I said, look, something goring to break here. I gotta
get the fuck out of here, you know, And whatever
I said. I don't know exactly what I said, but
whatever I said and raised him. I turned my back
to walk away, and apparently he charged, and I didn't
know he was charging. I was walking back towards the bedroom.
I mean, have any clothes on. I was buttoning aked

(13:40):
and I could hear him down there all saying, You're
not gonna fuck with me no more.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
You're not gonna do nothing around here.

Speaker 6 (13:46):
You know.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
He was like taking over the household at that point.
That's what I thought in my mind. I'll tell you
what my motivation was. I thought he was taking over
our house. He said, you're not gonna do nothing. Nobody's
doing nothing. I'm a beetle when that does shit right here.
And I heard some shit like that. I don't know
if I'm hearing it in my mind. I try to
make up nothing, but I'm saying I heard some shit that,

(14:09):
you know, like violent shit. And I know how he
is when he's violent. So I got scared, and instead
of going to get my clothes on, I went and
got my gun.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
I got her gun. I think I can't remember from
the bedroom.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
Yeah, and then and I didn't say anything else. I
went back to my bedroom. If I remember, I can't remember,
just to know I had my gun, her gun, and
I seen him.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
I was back in my bedroom.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
I heard him yell and saying, you're not gonna do
anything else, and you ain't never gonna pull no gun
on me.

Speaker 3 (14:56):
Again, That's what he said.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
And I opened up the door to see what was
going on, and his mama was pushing him back, and
he had her gun, pointing it right at my face.
And I went the duck and I seen him push
her out of the way, and that's when I fucking
fired shot him.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
How did he get the gun from you?

Speaker 2 (15:21):
Was the gun that we were scuffling over? The gun?

Speaker 7 (15:24):
Because the gun that he pointed at you you originally had, right, yeah, okay,
how did he get that from you?

Speaker 3 (15:31):
He knocked it out of my hand?

Speaker 2 (15:33):
And where was that at in the house? We were
right there where the kitchen and the hallway.

Speaker 8 (15:37):
Men.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
I came out there and said, look, this ship's got
an end, you know, And I had the gun because
I was scared, and he said, you ain't pointing no
gun at me, toywhire, I Sai, Chris, You're gonna leave
this fucking house. This ship's gotta stop get the fuck
out of here before some make it's hurt. And he
just kept pushing. He kept pushing. He pushed his mom
by the way. He says that I did it, but

(16:01):
I watched him. He pushed r otherway. What to grab me?
And he went to grab your gun and he hit
my hand and the gun flipped over his head. It
went behind him, and I seen him stop trying to
handle me, and he turned around and was looking to
grab the gun, and I ran and then I went

(16:22):
and got my gun when he ran. Where did you
run to my bedroom? Back in the bedroom, I'm stuck.
There ain't no way out of there, you know what
I'm saying. And I was looking frantically for my other gun.
I couldn't find it. I could hear him coming and
she's saying, you're not going to kill him something, and
he's saying this shit's over with, and I thought he

(16:42):
was coming to kill me.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
Where'd you find your gun at? Huh? Where'd I don't know?
I mean I found it under the mattress. I think
I was looking frantically for it.

Speaker 3 (16:57):
See you find your gun, and then what.

Speaker 2 (17:01):
You see that?

Speaker 1 (17:02):
I can't remember which gun I had, That's what I'm
saying I had two guns.

Speaker 3 (17:05):
I had her gun in my guard. I don't even
know what's gun shot him.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
With unbearably heavy That's all good.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
We're not working out with the two guns involved. And
I don't know which one I was holding when I
shot him. I just know that I was scared for
a goddamn life staring down the barrel. I think he
had his mother's gun when he was shooting it at me.
I think did he fire, no? But I thought he
was fixing too. He had done pushed her out of
the way and was going like this. He was in motion,

(17:32):
saying this shit ain't gonna go no more. And that's
where in the house, down the hallway. I was at
the end in front of my bedroom door. Okay, he
was at the where the kitchen in the hallway meet,
kind of looking diagonal. Yeah, his mom in front of him.
She was pushing me back, saying, Chris, don't do this
some shit. I don't know exactly what was said. She

(17:52):
was trying to get in to stop. He pushed her
out of the way, come over her shoulder with the
gun like that, and I could see it. Wanted to
write up my faith. I took a side step like that.
I took my gun and I shot him. And then
when I shot him, I seen him move, so I
just shot him some more. That's what had to walk
up only been shooting, sir.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
I did because I seen him moving and I didn't
trust nothing to kill me.

Speaker 3 (18:16):
At that point.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
Did you shoot him one time in the head? I
don't know, Okay, I shot at him.

Speaker 7 (18:22):
Do you use any methamphetamine or anything like that or
I haven't used any drugs but medical marijuana and prescriptions. Yeah, sure,
you can take my blood right now. I'm not under
the influence of anything. I just I just wanted to ask,
because you know that I understand that they're not sleeping
for four or five.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Days, and I'm accused that.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
You know, it's funny. I've been accused of that three
times this week, but it's not. I'm asomniac. I can't
help it. I stayed for days, and he clouds my
thinking clouds with judgment, clouds everything. Sure, I'm fucked. When's
the last time you think you got one?

Speaker 2 (18:57):
Was the only one that cares.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
About me in his whole world, and now I've done
this to her, and I'm remorse for that.

Speaker 3 (19:03):
Sure, what they say.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
I don't get into sleep when I go to bed, though,
when you said you passed out last night, you don't
go to sleep, right, Okay.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
I do remember saying I was going to sleep or
lay down like I was girls there. I just kind
of find my bed at some point from exhaustion, I think.
And I woke up really feeling bad this morning, sickly
and tired and everything.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
So I was soaking it off from the tub.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
You know, That's how I had to wake up anymore.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
I get up and soak and trying to get my
muscles back going, and you know, wake up a little bit.

Speaker 7 (19:38):
Has there been any other kind of shots fired disturbances
there at the house in the past.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
Yeah. The boy shoots guns out the door all the time.
He's crazy. I'm afraid of him. He's come home with guns,
he sold guns, he went to prison with guns.

Speaker 1 (19:55):
He comes home with AK forty seven and ship like
that and pull it through vests and shit.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
You know, we scared the Hello.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
The reason I asked because when I was walking around,
I'm not blaming him for this. I'm not I'm blaming
mental illness for this.

Speaker 7 (20:11):
He has it too, So everybody in mental illness on
both of y'all sports.

Speaker 3 (20:15):
Yeah, you know what kind of mental illness he has.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
He just took a thing strike to the head. Yeah, boy,
ain't right. I mean he's got a big dent in
his head. Can you see it.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
He's been mental ever since his wreck. You know he
was mental before that, but the wreck really made him
more mental.

Speaker 7 (20:37):
So after this happened to day, you got in your car, right, yeah,
and then just drove around and I.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
Was gonna drive over to the church and ask for prayer. Okay.
I drove over to the church at Gonzales and Pauline, Yep.
I went in there and asked for prayer.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
I didn't tell him what I did. I just asked
him what they pray with me, and they said they couldn't.
They was the nursery, So I went next door. They said,
go next door and you can get prayer over there.
So I went over next door to get prayer. The
doors were locked, so I seen a police officer there
doing the road crew there in front of the church.

(21:18):
So I walked up to him. I said, sir, I
just shot my own son. Will you arrest me.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
Take me on in?

Speaker 1 (21:28):
He said, where are you talking about? He said, I
got something else going on here. I said, look, dude,
you gotta take me in. I just shot my son.
You gotta arrest me. I throw my keys on the ground,
put my ends up, got down on my knees like
I said, I'm here, arrest me. He said, I Am
not gonna arrest you. He said, I got too much
shit going on over here. He said, my advice to

(21:48):
you is go back home and let him arrest you in.
So that's what I did. I went back home and
then I seen y'all. And the only reason why where's
by y'all. I wasn't trying to lose you. I was
trying to get back to my house where he told
me to go, and that mental was going mental. So

(22:11):
I was only following that corner.

Speaker 3 (22:13):
Yeah no, no, no, no no. When I got down there,
I put my hands out.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
And I surrendered myself.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
I was not trying to run around lude. I was
trying to get prayer and turned myself into unviolent fashion.
We appreciate that. How long do you think this whole.

Speaker 7 (22:34):
Incident took from when you got out of the bathtub.

Speaker 3 (22:40):
Until the shots were fired? Thirty seconds, a minute, thirty
minutes worth of arguing.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
It was fast, It wasn't that long.

Speaker 1 (22:51):
I said a few words about this ship's got to end,
all right, I'm gonna have to take some kind of action.

Speaker 3 (22:57):
Myself made some threads.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
I said, you ain't threadning me no more, pretty much,
you know, I said, you're gonna end up having to
leave the house, Chris, if this ship don't keep on,
either you're leaving, she's leaving, or you're both leaving.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
But the ship's set. I think he said down.

Speaker 2 (23:17):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (23:18):
Sounds seems like he paused a minute before he collected
his I'm gonna, you know, do whatever I'm gonna.

Speaker 2 (23:24):
Do, dude. And I could hear him saying stuff, But
the only thing that I got from.

Speaker 1 (23:31):
It was what it meant. The words eluded me. He
was saying, you're not going to do anything. None, nobody's
gonna do anything. And he started getting that. You know,
I know where he's going with that, because I've seen
it too many times. He was she was snapping and
I knew it. How So I ran in there when

(23:52):
I seen that going down, I.

Speaker 3 (23:55):
Said, oh ship, you know, here we go. And it
just escalated from there.

Speaker 1 (24:01):
HOWLDS Chris, I went in there and got the forty
because I didn't think of noting A stopped the bors crazy.

Speaker 3 (24:08):
Where'd you did you get the forty from your ring?

Speaker 2 (24:10):
Or from I had her gun?

Speaker 3 (24:12):
You had her gunning?

Speaker 2 (24:13):
Yeah, she didn't know I had her gun, but I
had her gun.

Speaker 3 (24:16):
Now she knew I had her gun. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
I don't think she knew I had her gun. I
cleaned her guns and service her guns and stuff. And
I just got a new gun cleaning kid a minute ago,
and I was cleaning the service in.

Speaker 3 (24:27):
The guns because pass you know, a week or so,
two weeks.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
I don't know, But I don't think she knew I
had her gun.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
See, we've been getting a lot of death threats, you know,
and I've been like for like three years now. I've
called the FBI, I've reported it, you know, I've I've tried.
I went tried to get counselor for myself, you know,
to try to deal with this ship. They told me
they couldn't fix me. I'm mentally hurt because my brain's

(24:57):
fucked up.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
I got struck.

Speaker 3 (24:59):
You to have a lighting, They said, where did that happen? At?

Speaker 1 (25:03):
I was playing a guitar, getting ready for a show
a musician, and the lightning struck me and it.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
Took him to your house. I was at a holiday inn.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
Or at somebody's house, getting ready to go to holiday,
and I can't remember. No, I was in Georgia, and
it took him years to figure out how damage that was.
And then they finally give me.

Speaker 3 (25:30):
Occasion.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
Yeah, and sound security retired me that I was danger
to be around fun.

Speaker 3 (25:39):
So I stay secluded on purpose on my own. That
says you were a danger to be around folks.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
Yeah, I didn't feel that way, but I guess I
am did the lightning strike and make you violin or
change your It's probably already destined to be violent, not
because I wanted to be. My dad was also an
assassin for a big motorcycle game, and he made me.

(26:10):
He said he was grooming me for that position to
take over when he died. So I think I was
probably groomed to be an idiot. I've always thought it.
I've even left from living with him at fifteen because
I was afraid I'd kill him or they'd killed me.

Speaker 2 (26:30):
Was that in Georgia.

Speaker 1 (26:31):
No, that was in Alabama, and I knew he couldn't
come to Florida because I think he killed somebody here
and he had walking papers from the game that he
was in.

Speaker 3 (26:41):
Said you can't ever go to Florida, and ye, and.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
I knew it because a few times that I was
within they even got near Florida, he would tell his wife,
you know, I can't go to Florida. He kill me
over there, you know what I'm saying. So I kept
hearing those rumors, you know, all the time. So I
knew he couldn't come to Florida. So I pretty much
o caterble to Florida with my wife suggested that because
I knew, hey, that would be the end of having

(27:05):
to worry about him because he threatened to kill me.
I've lived under that threat many years of my dad
and his game. What for not obeying him? What motorcycle
gun was?

Speaker 3 (27:17):
Again?

Speaker 1 (27:18):
He was the president of the Southgate Los Angeles Nuggets.

Speaker 3 (27:25):
What what room did christan.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
That he rode with the Hells Angels, outlaws Bendidos. He's
a bad motart.

Speaker 3 (27:34):
What made you think that someday this would happen?

Speaker 1 (27:36):
Because he's he's pulled a gun on me before, and
I've had to pull a gun on him before.

Speaker 2 (27:43):
Because of his violent tendencies.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
So while was today different than those times.

Speaker 1 (27:48):
Made because I thought he was gonna shoot me today,
and before I thought he was just talking today, I
didn't think so he was coming.

Speaker 2 (27:57):
At me with that gun and he was gonna shoot me.

Speaker 7 (27:59):
With Has there been any physical violence between any of
y'all in the past twenty two years, between you and him,
between him and Linda.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
Me and Chris has scuffled a couple of times, but
we ain't never really, you know, tried to kill each other.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
Well, I'm sure he'd want me dead many a time.
He's promised to kill me many times.

Speaker 1 (28:25):
You know, every time he leaves the house mad, It's like,
you know, you know, I never know if I'm gonna
be dead that night, I can't sleep.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
You know.

Speaker 1 (28:34):
He's made threats and made threats with his dad coming
to kill us. You know, He's made all kinds of threats,
and his dad, I know, is the killer. His dad's
an enforcer for the fucking bite game, I know, and
I don't trust him for shit. He's made threats to
me too. Over Chris says, if I ever touch his
son in any way, I'm dead. But you don't come

(28:56):
down and kill me. You know, I've heard that a
million times. He stopped threatening me over the fact that
I raised his son and worked for his son and made,
you know, a living for his son. At one time,
he come over to me and said, I really been
hating on him for years, but I'm okay now that
I know that you're sincere just trying to raise my family,

(29:20):
that you haven't left, that you've been there.

Speaker 3 (29:23):
So he left me alone. So things haven't always always
been bad. I love my son.

Speaker 1 (29:31):
I just think he's mental. I love him. I tell
my wife every day I love that boy, but he's
going to kill somebody, and she says, I know it.
You can even ask her. She's surprised he hasn't killed
somebody already, and I'm sure that she's probably believed that
I'm the one that did it. I'm sorry to say

(29:52):
that it sounds remorseful and terrible, but she's been expecting
this for years and I too. I've always lived in
fear with him under our roof, and it stopped today.

Speaker 2 (30:07):
That's all you could say.

Speaker 7 (30:09):
Has there ever been a point in time in the
past where you thought you were going to have to
do this?

Speaker 3 (30:14):
Yes, you thought before you would have to kill him.

Speaker 1 (30:19):
I've thought that it was going to come to killing.
I didn't think that I would want to do it,
and I didn't want to do it. I've never desired
to kill the boy. I've never desired to cause him
any harm. I've always tried to love him, make sure
he had shoes and clothes, food. Even when he was

(30:39):
out on his ass and damning us to hell, I
still tried to help him. We've been both trying to
help him. She's done everything for that boy. She's bought
him everything he's ever desired. He's just a bad thru
to him. And you know what's the worst part. I
really think that he was starting return for the better

(31:03):
that he met this girl. And this girl has been
like the devil in our household. She's caused nothing but
strife and grief and violence, and he's gonna started hitting her.

Speaker 6 (31:21):
You know.

Speaker 1 (31:22):
The first time I had to pull a gun on
that boy, he was struck his mother down in the floor,
and he struck his new girlfriend down in.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
The floor, And I how can a man watch that?

Speaker 3 (31:34):
How long ago was that?

Speaker 2 (31:37):
It's been about two maybe two years ago.

Speaker 3 (31:41):
So most of this has happened since he's gotten out
of prison, it's been nothing but hell there.

Speaker 1 (31:49):
And I have tried to move from there. I've moved
out even but he come over there, Dad, I need
a job, So I got him a job. He worked
with me even I trained him on the job. Then
I had to quit the job because I couldn't work
with him.

Speaker 3 (32:05):
I mean, where were you working.

Speaker 1 (32:07):
I was working for a guy named don over It.
I'd lost myself security check for three months because they
cut my benefits off, and I ended up having to
go back to work, even though I was not really
able to work. But the man let me work for
like three months, you know, just a little bit, a
couple hours a day, you know, doing what, uh, fixing stuff,

(32:30):
you know, my handy man stuff. Yeah whatever. He had
to fix motors. You know, I'm very intelligent in fixing stuff.
And I was fixing his stuff. And then my boy
come over asking for a job. I'm trying to help
him and his mother. His mother's always support him, she
can't hardly do it, So I said, I help him
get a job. Maybe, you know, at least that.

Speaker 3 (32:51):
Will aviate what's going on over there.

Speaker 1 (32:53):
You know, I've always loved that woman, but we divorced
now because the infidelity or everything, just because of the in
the house.

Speaker 2 (33:02):
It's just total strife all the time, and I thought her.

Speaker 1 (33:07):
I couldn't take it any more. I moved out. It's
gone for a couple three years. Hurricane came destroyed her house,
cast us back together. So she lived in an RV
with me for a while until we could find another.

Speaker 3 (33:22):
Place, and it brought us back together.

Speaker 1 (33:25):
We got to learning each other a little bit better,
you know, decided we try to make a go of
living together again. And then right when we got back together,
it's when Chris went to prison. I think he was
already in trouble and he come to us and said, then,
I think I've done some bad shit. And he said,

(33:48):
I think the police are gonna come get me. And
I said, what did you do?

Speaker 2 (33:52):
Son? Did you kill anybody? And he thinks. He told
me that.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
They think they killed heal somewhere here in town. They
said they had him on video. That's what he was
telling me.

Speaker 2 (34:06):
That was a what a couple of years ago.

Speaker 1 (34:08):
Yeah, he said that. He said, I'm sure they got
me on video. He said, I've done a lot of
bad things.

Speaker 2 (34:16):
He said.

Speaker 1 (34:17):
Another coming from me, I said, son, I said, we
didn't do number good for you. Try to make you right,
and look how you've done. I said, I'm glad you
told me at least. And the very next day the
cops showed up at the door to get his ass
and we didn't see him for seven eight years except

(34:40):
for going to visit in prison. And prison did not
do him any good.

Speaker 2 (34:49):
It made him more violent.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
Let me ask you joined the game while he was
in there, and he came out with the game.

Speaker 8 (34:57):
Let me ask you this what I'm thinking about. When
he knocked the gun out of your hand and then
he had the gun and he said, he pointed at you,
and then you know, that's when you knew you had
to defend yourself. Do you know what happened to his
gun that he had once you shot him or anything
like that.

Speaker 3 (35:17):
No, that's the funny part. I don't.

Speaker 2 (35:23):
It was.

Speaker 1 (35:23):
I think he had Linda's gun. I was like to say,
I don't know which gun he had. Sure, to be
honest with you, I think he had Linda's gun. Sure,
you know, but I think it was because I had
the gun and he knocked it away from me. That's
what I told you, And that's what I think happened.
I don't know if I had my gun or any gun,

(35:44):
but I think it was her gun because I've been
cleaning the guns. Sure, I just got a brand new
gun cleaning kid, and I told her I needed to
get their guns because they would be rusting because they
had been cleaning a long time and I still had
possession of her gun.

Speaker 2 (35:58):
It's not because she was let me have the guns.
So you know, she did not like me having no guns.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
Okay, but you know, I'm kind of like Chris, and
I'll be honest with you. You know, when a man threatens me,
I feel threatened.

Speaker 2 (36:12):
And I went to the Sheriff's department.

Speaker 3 (36:15):
You probably see this.

Speaker 1 (36:16):
I went down to the Sheriff's department on the drive
and I had about an hour conference with the second
in command of the Sheriff's department.

Speaker 2 (36:23):
And I asked him, I said, look, my son's a
violent person.

Speaker 1 (36:28):
I'm scared of him. I'm scared he's gonna kill us
at some point. Not just scared of him, but.

Speaker 2 (36:35):
I'm scared of my neighborhood.

Speaker 1 (36:37):
Okay, because I run a bunch of drug dealers off
my streets and I'm sure y'all know all about it,
because y'all kept saying I was being a vigilante and
all this.

Speaker 2 (36:47):
I added, people selling drugs right in front of my house.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
I said, the shit ain't gonna go, and I kind
of buckd you guys for a minute and said, look,
you're not going to get them off, I will, And
I did turn into a vgilanting I didn't, but I
got everyone of goddamn drugs off there that I can
get off, and the street got quiet for a little while.
But I didn't make no friends doing that. How y'all

(37:11):
arrested me for it because I was having prompts with them.
Therese gang members from you. Y'all told me yourself that
they was in its thirteen. They was coming up in
my yard making threads almost every day. We're going to
kill you because of that thing you got in with
a guy named Jason Dudah.

Speaker 3 (37:31):
They was in the.

Speaker 8 (37:31):
Gang, they kept saying.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
They kept sending two or three people to my house
threatening me for death. They'd come up and say, we
don't kill you yet, but we're gonna kill you, and
they just kept coming. So I went to the sheriff,
asking one of my rights I have been arrested, but
I don't.

Speaker 3 (37:49):
Have criminal history.

Speaker 2 (37:50):
I don't have a criminal record.

Speaker 1 (37:52):
Been arrested a few times, but I was always exonerated
because I was righteous.

Speaker 2 (37:57):
Is righteous? Y'all did the investigation. You let me go.

Speaker 1 (38:01):
Okay, I'm not saying that I'm angel. I was raised ron,
but I'm not using that for an excuse.

Speaker 3 (38:09):
And a righteous man with god fearing man, I go.
You know, I love people, but lately I.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
Have enough, have much love in my heart. I get it,
you know.

Speaker 1 (38:19):
And it's just because my everybody's threatening to kill me
all the time. I got people on the outside threatening,
and he got people on the inside trading, and I
just fucking snapped, well, let's do this. That I had
a gun right pointed at me from here to that door.
And I've seen the inside.

Speaker 3 (38:36):
Of the barrel.

Speaker 2 (38:38):
Like I said, you did what you did?

Speaker 3 (38:39):
See it? Push his mama away and come over with that.

Speaker 1 (38:43):
Gun, just like that. And I seen the barrel. And
when I seen the barrel, I knew he's fixed the poetry.
I know the boy he's nuts. I did not trust
him not to shoot that gun.

Speaker 2 (38:53):
But let's do this.

Speaker 3 (38:55):
Wh I shot, and like you said, I was laying
this way.

Speaker 1 (39:00):
So I'm thinking that first shot him in a to
be honest with you, I think I killed him right there,
but I don't know. I thought i'd seen him move
though when he hit the ground, I thought I seen
him move. And I didn't know if he was going
for the gun. I didn't know if he still had
to go, and I just.

Speaker 2 (39:20):
I do remember that.

Speaker 1 (39:22):
I remember what happened after that because I was looking
for Linda. I was calling out for Lindam, running around,
Where are you at, Lenna? You know That's all I remember.

Speaker 3 (39:31):
Well, let's do this.

Speaker 2 (39:32):
Is he We're gonna take a few minute break. We're
gonna go check on him.

Speaker 3 (39:35):
And then I got in the car.

Speaker 1 (39:38):
I got my medicine. I don't know why I grabbed
all my medicine. I was scared of I was gonna
I have my medicine. I grabbed my medicine and my
other gun. I jumped in the car and I went
down to the church to turn myself in and that
was where it. Yeah, they wouldn't let me go for prayer,
so I walked out to the cop there on the

(39:59):
corn Wanner stay trooper there, I was doing the art
they're doing the roadwork there, and I put my keys
out like this in my hands up as I just
shot my son.

Speaker 3 (40:11):
At my house.

Speaker 9 (40:13):
I didn't have time to fool with that, and I
said just leave. He told me to just leave and
go back home. So that's what I did. And when
I saw y'all, I was trying to get back home. Man, No, no, no,
that estate. I tried to get their work. Y'all could
take me down soft, you know, not giving me this.

Speaker 2 (40:32):
Tough in this world.

Speaker 3 (40:33):
But I try to be also because I'm a believer.

Speaker 8 (40:38):
That when you leave this earth, that you go someplace
that's the Christ's true.

Speaker 2 (40:45):
And I certainly don't want to go down there. So
I try to be right with the men I saw.
I hed too, So when I got strupped, I went
right in there.

Speaker 8 (40:53):
Change your life, didn't it? I mean it changed it
not the best way, obviously, but you got your life spared.

Speaker 1 (40:59):
Right.

Speaker 2 (40:59):
I've been trying, and that you know, the world just
doesn't have it in for me.

Speaker 8 (41:04):
Well, you know, no matter what happens from this day forward,
you know, no matter the Lord in my heart, that's right.
No matter what law enforcement, what judge, what courts, anything
like that, that's only.

Speaker 2 (41:19):
Temporary in this life, isn't it?

Speaker 1 (41:21):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (41:22):
It is because when we go home, Yeah, we go home?

Speaker 3 (41:26):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (41:27):
Right, the Lord I have now that this has happened, well,
you know.

Speaker 8 (41:31):
I'm also a firm believer that there's you know, if
you talk to Jesus, talk to God and you repent
your sins and uh.

Speaker 3 (41:42):
It's just I don't feel like I was lifting the
choice on that he would have killed me.

Speaker 2 (41:47):
And I totally get that. But then I'm not judging
you at all, buddy. I have no malice, ill will
or anything towards you because of what you did. That's
not my job.

Speaker 10 (41:58):
And I've talked to hundreds of people out of sat
right here in your shoes. You know, I don't have
any bouance against myself. I felt like I was doing
what I needed to do to keep me alive.

Speaker 8 (42:09):
So I want to try to clarify a couple of things,
you know, because honestly, you know, I know that I'm
not saying and I know that I'm.

Speaker 3 (42:19):
Have some issues.

Speaker 2 (42:20):
I need to be in a facility. You have some
mental issues.

Speaker 3 (42:24):
But I've been asking for that, sure, I've been a
begging for it.

Speaker 8 (42:28):
Well, part of that is not a cure. All medicine
is a patch. But do you take your medicine like
you're supposed to or not? Because that's the sixty four
thousand dollars question. It may be sick, sick out, not eating,
staying awake, I mean all of that, all of that.

(42:49):
But you do understand, you know, there's just like cancer.
You know, cancer treatments make you see as for me
to take it all the time, and I other I do, but.

Speaker 2 (43:01):
Well you have to, you have to follow you know,
doctor's prescribe it.

Speaker 8 (43:04):
For what means that wan her She don't have any
We've been talking to her. She don't have any hate
towards you all, none at all. I can assure you
she don't have any hate in her heart towards you.
She knew that you needed help, she knew that her

(43:25):
son needed help.

Speaker 2 (43:26):
She knew nobody to help me.

Speaker 3 (43:28):
But she's in a.

Speaker 8 (43:29):
Bind for the simple fact that here she is working,
you know, ten eleven, twelve hours.

Speaker 2 (43:35):
A day, will work so much and like a failed her.
And she's doing that for y'all. I know have some income,
but also like a failed her.

Speaker 8 (43:47):
But you know, you know, in my heart of hearts
and talking to her for an hour. She didn't never
say why did he do that? You know, I hate him,
I don't love him or anything like that. She agreed
that you know she was raised and you know that
that Youthfore we're scared of him.

Speaker 3 (44:06):
Sure, he's violent.

Speaker 2 (44:08):
I'm not trying to make him a bad person. He's
a good soul down there.

Speaker 8 (44:12):
So where is what it is?

Speaker 2 (44:14):
Somewhere down there? That boy was a good soul.

Speaker 8 (44:16):
But I couldn't find it in But one thing is
he while while we're thinking, because you know, not only
do we talk to you and everybody else, I'm sure
you watch police shows before or whatever.

Speaker 2 (44:28):
I wish. No, not necessarily, I'm not saying that's not
my turn to know. I'm sick in the head and
I know I deserve what I did.

Speaker 8 (44:37):
But things aren't as easy as you see on TV
because we take what you tell us, what she tells us,
the people that were there, all right, and then we
try to align it with the evidence that we have there.

Speaker 2 (44:48):
At the scene.

Speaker 3 (44:50):
Kill him with ballast, all right. I didn't know it
because I wanted to kill him.

Speaker 2 (44:55):
Let me kill him because I was scared I was
gonna be killed with.

Speaker 8 (44:57):
THELF Okay, and I'll take that as what you say.
I'm not saying that's not true. I'm not here to
say that's not true or un true. The only thing
I will refute on is if evidence says different. Okay, Now,
what I want to ask you would rather call you easy?

Speaker 2 (45:15):
You like, is is he better?

Speaker 1 (45:17):
Yeah? Is he?

Speaker 2 (45:18):
What?

Speaker 8 (45:18):
What I'd like to ask you though? And after the
incident happened with Chris? All right, then what you do?
Because I know what you did. I think I tried
to kill that girl, but I did.

Speaker 6 (45:36):
I was out of my mind. I was just like
I was on the autopilot. I couldn't stop myself.

Speaker 2 (45:42):
Got you go out the back door. I saw him.

Speaker 6 (45:44):
I looked at his face, and I saw him dead.
And I immediately held her responsible.

Speaker 2 (45:50):
For it because of her.

Speaker 8 (45:53):
Yeah, that's how you march outside. I think I was
going to kill her, and you started cheating. I take you, Yeah,
porch steps yard.

Speaker 6 (46:04):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (46:05):
Did you empty the pistol? I probably did? Yeah, Okay,
I think I was trying to kill her. I don't know.
I was out of my mind. I was holding responsible
for it. That's where my guilt lies. Okay, he's after
the fact.

Speaker 3 (46:20):
And I'll admit that totally. I'm guilty of that.

Speaker 8 (46:23):
Did you ever walk up on the trailer and shoot
or he shot from a park or you know, a
distance a little bit?

Speaker 2 (46:27):
Do you recall at all? Because the camera show us
you don't.

Speaker 3 (46:34):
You don't know.

Speaker 2 (46:35):
I was out of my mind, so okay, fair enough,
fair enough.

Speaker 1 (46:38):
I was mad because I had to kill my son,
and I knew who was responsible for making all that happen.

Speaker 2 (46:45):
And I think I went to the dark side on
that man. Where did you get the gun at that
you shot at her with?

Speaker 3 (46:54):
That's my gun.

Speaker 8 (46:55):
I bought it a long time ago off the street.
You sure, yeah, I think so. Now I'm not sure not,
according to Linda. Now, Linda says, y'all bought those guns
a couple of years ago at Mike's gunshop. There was
twenty nine guns.

Speaker 2 (47:11):
I didn't. I can't buy a gun legally, right, Well,
is there more than two pistol firearms?

Speaker 1 (47:18):
Not?

Speaker 3 (47:18):
Not?

Speaker 2 (47:19):
Not pelic guns or airsoft?

Speaker 3 (47:21):
Is there more than two firearms.

Speaker 2 (47:22):
In the house. There's her guns. Okay, she has two guns, and.

Speaker 8 (47:29):
That's what you use. Was her two guns? No, I
have one gun on my own, and that was a
is that sky one?

Speaker 2 (47:37):
And what caliber is that? Nine mili nine millimeters.

Speaker 1 (47:42):
I'm guilty of trying to hurt her, Okay, I'm just
gonna go ahead and say it. I'm not ashamed of
it because I was out of my mind.

Speaker 2 (47:50):
I don't know what I was thinking.

Speaker 8 (47:51):
Well fair enough, fair enough, but but I know that
I did it. Explain, all right, I'm telling you the truth.

Speaker 3 (48:00):
No, no, no, I'm not saying or not.

Speaker 8 (48:02):
I just don't know all the facts because I was
out of my mind and I'm not doubting what you're saying.

Speaker 2 (48:07):
But just when I ask you a question, it may.

Speaker 8 (48:10):
Spark little memories. Okay, I'll try to work with Himyah.
I'm not trying to about hole or anything. I'm just
trying to kill that woman. I have to put the
story together.

Speaker 1 (48:19):
Yog tried to kill that woman because I was out
of my mind and I wasn't thinking proper, and I
was holding her responsible for the death of my son
at that moment.

Speaker 2 (48:30):
I helped her responsible for all of it when I
wanted to kill when you shot because of it and
killed Chris. All right, where is the gun that he had?

Speaker 1 (48:41):
I don't know, I absolutely don't know. I seen him
holding the gun in my pointed at me from here
to that door, and I shot and I killed him.
And I really don't remember what happened after that. Alls
I can remember is I was standing in front of
the shed door.

Speaker 2 (49:04):
Is that the shed the camper? Now, let's go back
to inside, not out. I don't remember how I got outside. Okay, Okay,
I was out of my mind.

Speaker 8 (49:17):
I'm not saying that you wouldn't. I'm just saying you
said that Chris had a gun, and we knew that obviously.

Speaker 3 (49:26):
Okay, he wasn't my gun. I had my gun, right, but.

Speaker 2 (49:31):
The gun that he had in his hand, or or
that at some point, at some point Chris had a gun.

Speaker 3 (49:37):
Well, it looked like Linda's gun.

Speaker 8 (49:39):
But you said that you had a gun when you
come in there, and y'all tussled over it and it
got slapped out of your hand.

Speaker 1 (49:46):
That's why I thought it was just getting the gun
that what gun got slapped out of your hand. That
was Linda's gun, which is a forty Coulter Smith and
a forty caliber Smith and west he bought them for
home protection shoes. And I was cleaning those guns. I
had possession of those guns in the house. She had

(50:06):
her one gun in her room and I had her
other gun because I told her I needed to clean
it at and never been shot.

Speaker 2 (50:12):
And you had the nine millimeter in your room that
we had forty the forty and a nine milimeter I had, right,
I understand she bought them. But you're calling the nine
milimeter yours. No, it was her. Oh you have you had,
We're still missing.

Speaker 8 (50:27):
There's another gun at the house somewhere, because when we
got there, we found one gun on the back porch.

Speaker 3 (50:33):
What'd you find?

Speaker 2 (50:35):
It's a black semi automatic. I think it's maybe the
nine milimeter.

Speaker 1 (50:41):
I'm confused now, I am too, to be honest with you,
I know that I had her forty count for as
best as I know.

Speaker 2 (50:50):
See, I'm not over there.

Speaker 1 (50:53):
I was just trying to clean her gun service or
gun had it in my possession in my room. I'm
not claiming the.

Speaker 8 (50:59):
Gun who she bought or they both Smith and Wessons. Yeah, okay,
And then you say you have one called a sky
right now.

Speaker 1 (51:06):
I bought the gun from her one time, but she's
the sky gun. No Smith and Wesson. I bought the
gun from her one time, but I gave it back
to her pretty much because I'm not supposed to have guns.

Speaker 3 (51:20):
She said, I didn't even me.

Speaker 1 (51:22):
Of that, but I told her we could not be
in that house without protection. We got too many people
trying to kill us.

Speaker 2 (51:29):
And the sky gun that you own, and she's never
shot a gun. She's scared of them. She's scared of them.

Speaker 3 (51:36):
She don't know nothing about guns.

Speaker 1 (51:38):
So even though I was in the wrong for having
those guns, that's right, I'm not trying to even go
there because I know you're trying to get past that.

Speaker 3 (51:46):
No, No, that's the problem is I had the guns.

Speaker 1 (51:50):
So you did sell me one of those guns a
long time ago, but I gave it back to her
in the fact that I'm not supposed to have them. So,
but I was the one in control of the gun
in the house because I'm the one that knows how
a fire wan and we have had so many I've
been sitting there on my couch three times and had
people come in my house that were crazy more than me, threatening.

Speaker 3 (52:13):
Me on my own couch.

Speaker 1 (52:14):
Okay, so I went and bought some guns. I had
her get those guns for home protection.

Speaker 8 (52:19):
So to recap Just so, I'm trying to be clear,
so everything is right. I don't want to be wrong.

Speaker 2 (52:26):
Okay, all right.

Speaker 8 (52:27):
So we have a Smith and Wesson nine millimeter that
she bought from Mike's, a Smith and Wesson forty caliber
that she bought from Mike's. And then you said, at
some point you bought off the street a Sky nine milimeter.

Speaker 3 (52:45):
Okay, all right.

Speaker 8 (52:47):
Now I wasn't in the house long because I come
back here with you. What does the Sky nine millimeter
look like?

Speaker 2 (52:54):
Is it silver?

Speaker 3 (52:56):
Is it black?

Speaker 2 (52:57):
Silver?

Speaker 3 (52:57):
Found a silver gun that gun?

Speaker 1 (52:59):
I bought that gun. I have one more gun, okay,
it's a silver one. I bought it from Chris to
get it out of his hands.

Speaker 2 (53:08):
Is that in your room somewhere?

Speaker 3 (53:10):
I have been able to find it. I think he
might have stolen it back from me.

Speaker 2 (53:14):
Okay, I'm gonna while we're talking, I'm gonna try to verify.

Speaker 1 (53:18):
But it's a nine millimeter Ruger. But I couldn't find it.
I don't know where it's at. It's somewhere in my room.
I don't want to have a clue where it's at. But,
like I say, I did purchase that gun from her
a long time ago, but she told me I could
not have it, so it was in our house, but

(53:38):
she owns those guns.

Speaker 8 (53:40):
I gave it back to her in conversation. You know
what I'm saying, Well, the biggest thing is is there's
no doubt are.

Speaker 1 (53:48):
There her guns that she hasn't committed no crime? No,
she has never even fired a gun man. She did
not want to buy those. She had not, but threatened
a lot.

Speaker 2 (54:00):
This is your right to do that.

Speaker 1 (54:01):
And I even went and talked to the sheriff. Am
I legal enough to have him in my house for
on protection? Sat there with him for an hour, sure,
and he said, you know, somebody like you probably shouldn't
have him at the time we was being threatened. I'm
getting phone calls threatening on my life.

Speaker 3 (54:15):
I don't know who it is.

Speaker 1 (54:16):
We've been threatened for a long time, and you can
ask her. Somebody's making phone calls to us. Somebody's been,
you know, talking to me on the net, been making
threats over the net that they was coming to get us.
And the night, you know, we've had a million threads.
We don't know what's coming from, still don't. I called
the FBI. I had them try to help me.

Speaker 11 (54:35):
Never heard back from they thought I was crazy, so
they didn't call back, and we've just been living under
the fear the whole time, but we don't know if
it's coming from his dudes.

Speaker 2 (54:49):
The gun that was on the back porch on the.

Speaker 3 (54:52):
Railing, what is the make of that? Okay?

Speaker 8 (54:55):
And that is a nine millimeter? And then the one
in his call was a Smith and Wesson. Okay, goodnough.

Speaker 3 (55:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (55:08):
How many guns is in the car? I feel like
I don't know. I mean, I haven't looked. All I
know right now is one that was in the poorboard.

Speaker 3 (55:14):
That was the only one I think.

Speaker 2 (55:16):
Okay, that was a Smith forty. I felt like myself
to be honest with you, or was it trying to
kill nobody else?

Speaker 3 (55:23):
Did you reload it anytime? I don't remember.

Speaker 8 (55:26):
Man, Did you have any extra magazines that were loaded?
Do y'all keep extra mags that are loaded?

Speaker 6 (55:31):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (55:32):
And I probably did put one in there. Yet, what
what did you shoot at the trailer with?

Speaker 1 (55:37):
No?

Speaker 2 (55:38):
Well, I'll help you. It was a forty because there
are shellcases all out there and I'm all messed up.

Speaker 1 (55:44):
To be honest with you, like I told you in
the beginning, I was in such a I don't know
which gun I was holding.

Speaker 8 (55:52):
I don't know what gun I shot him went. All
I can do is help you try to know absolutely.
And because I mind was there and you were, you know,
kind of sketched out. I was sketchy a ship. I'm
telling you true. I don't know what happened. I know
that I had the two guns. I never touched the

(56:12):
silver gun. I bought that to get that out of
the hands.

Speaker 3 (56:15):
Of my son. Okay, so you had you had two guns.

Speaker 2 (56:19):
But because he's not supposed.

Speaker 1 (56:20):
To have a gun, and he carries a gun all
the time even though he's not supposed to, that's not right.

Speaker 2 (56:26):
And I've been trying to get him to stop that ship.

Speaker 8 (56:28):
The very first gun that you walked out with, and
y'all started arguing with that, he slapped out of your hand.

Speaker 1 (56:36):
If you can tell me what he was shot with,
then I would know, Because I don't know. I just
grabbed whatever I saw. When I seen him with the gun,
I ran and grabbed what everybody was right.

Speaker 8 (56:47):
But what I'm saying, when you first confronted him, not
when you shot him, but when you first confronted him,
he just you grabbed the gun, all right, And y'all
tussled and he slapped it out of your hand, right,
But you got coming at me, right, and that's fine.

Speaker 2 (57:03):
I'm just trying to figure out what gun that was.

Speaker 6 (57:06):
That's how to be a gun.

Speaker 2 (57:08):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (57:09):
I just when I seen him coming. When I seen
him coming, I back back into my room. I lifted
up my mattress and I grabbed whichever gun I saw.
And I don't remember which was time, yes, sir, okay.
When he slapped it out and I came in there
and I pointed it at him, I said, son, this
ain't happening today. Cal him the fuck down, Okay, that's

(57:34):
what I told him. And he pushed his way past
his mother, and he hit my horn right and the
gun somehow. I don't know how he hit me, if
he hit me sideways and forward. I know he hit
my army the gun. I seen the gun go this way?

Speaker 2 (57:52):
Is this in the living room? Yeah, okay.

Speaker 3 (57:54):
I think the gun went like over his head even
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (57:58):
I just know when he hit my hand, the gun
came out of my hand. Okay. But you don't remember
what gun that was, but it came from your room.

Speaker 3 (58:05):
Yes, sir.

Speaker 1 (58:06):
And I don't know where it also went when he
knocked it out of my hand. I only know that
he stopped tussling with me and started going for the gun.
And then you so I was scared that if he
got that gun, I was surely dead, okay.

Speaker 2 (58:22):
And so then you retreat back to your room.

Speaker 3 (58:25):
And got a second gun.

Speaker 8 (58:27):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (58:27):
Now, when I turned back around, I could hear him
in there yelling with his mama, and he's saying he's
never pointing that gun at me again.

Speaker 3 (58:37):
And when I opened up the door he had the gun.
I seen him open up. What door? You're out of
your bedroom door. I went back in there to try to.

Speaker 2 (58:49):
Just retreat and.

Speaker 3 (58:51):
You know, be out of the situation.

Speaker 2 (58:55):
Dave.

Speaker 1 (58:55):
Linda had already told me just get out of here,
just I got leave it alone.

Speaker 8 (59:01):
Now, when when y'all were tussling and they got knocked
out of your hand, was Linda around then?

Speaker 2 (59:06):
Was she watching this? Tfuse the situationtween us, trying to
keep us from killing each other?

Speaker 6 (59:11):
All right?

Speaker 2 (59:12):
And that was before he was shot. Yeah, correct, gun
gets knocked out. He already had the gun and was
coming and she was in front of him pushing him back.

Speaker 8 (59:22):
As the fifth I can remember that's the gun obviously
that he knocked out of my hand. Okay, okay, and
then you retreat and go get a gun and open
the door and you see him still.

Speaker 1 (59:33):
I retreated and was sitting there, but I heard the
yelling in the other room, and I heard him say
he's never pulling a gun on me again, okay, And
then I heard them the voice was getting closer.

Speaker 8 (59:47):
Did you hear once it got knocked out? And then
you're like, oh shit, I ain't got a gun no.

Speaker 2 (59:52):
More all I am. Did you hear a door open?
Anybody go outside or come in the back door or
the front door. I was in that hallway pretty much.

Speaker 3 (01:00:01):
Now.

Speaker 2 (01:00:01):
I did look around the corner to see him going
after the gun. I seen him the one that was
knocked out.

Speaker 3 (01:00:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:00:08):
No, I don't know if he was I don't know
what he was doing, but I thought he was going
for that gun, and I didn't know where the gun went.

Speaker 3 (01:00:14):
I thought he was looking around for the gun.

Speaker 1 (01:00:16):
I got scared knowing I had no way of retreat
because I'm down the hall now. I might could have
slipped out the back, but I wasn't in my right
mind to be thinking like that.

Speaker 2 (01:00:26):
Now, do y'all remember her getting pushed out of the
way or anything like that.

Speaker 1 (01:00:30):
I remember when I came back in second time, No,
the first time, she was in between us. But I
armed myself before that because of the fact that he
was threatening. You know, he's telling me like, this ain't
gonna happen. You ain't gonna tell me nothing shit, you
know whatever.

Speaker 3 (01:00:48):
You know pretty much, I felt like, you know.

Speaker 1 (01:00:50):
He's taking over the house in conversation all right now.
So I went back to my room, knowing that he
was getting violent, and I sat down. I didn't have
time to think about shit. I sat down, like, oh, fuck,
you know, this is really fucked up and getting bad.
Then I heard him yelling. I heard him in there yelling.

(01:01:12):
I was just I guess it's kind of like that
movie side It Raised, dude. I just kept hearing the
yelling and yelling and yelling, and then I heard him
coming closer, and I'm thinking, this motherfucker's coming after me.
And when I opened up the door, I seen her
pushing him back, going stop at Chris or some shit.

(01:01:33):
She was pushing him and he had.

Speaker 3 (01:01:34):
The gun up like this.

Speaker 2 (01:01:36):
That's what I saw. And when I saw the gun.

Speaker 1 (01:01:39):
I went closed the door real fast, reached under the
mattress and grabbed whatever gun I saw, and then I
turned back around and opened up the door. And when
I opened up the door, I seen him come down
just like that. And when I opened up the door,
I thought, oh shit, he sticking to shoot me. So
I ducked to the side and I fired it. Take
my money for the snickers more, dude.

Speaker 3 (01:02:00):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (01:02:01):
I can't give her money back.

Speaker 3 (01:02:02):
No, no, it ain't my money, so I didn't want
to it.

Speaker 2 (01:02:05):
Still here she is.

Speaker 3 (01:02:07):
Can I ask you one favored, what's that.

Speaker 1 (01:02:12):
My wallet and all my information and everything that she
would need for the you know, got my car, go
back whatever is in my wallet under my mattress. Okay,
what I'm asking could you give her my pen number
to my bank card so she can at least pay
her rent until I know what's happening to me.

Speaker 3 (01:02:35):
I'll tell you what. Give me one second, okay, Okay,
I want to give her power of attorney.

Speaker 7 (01:02:40):
Yeah, h.

Speaker 3 (01:02:45):
M hma, what is.

Speaker 2 (01:02:56):
Tell her she can do whatever she has to do
with my money until they take it away from me.

Speaker 3 (01:03:01):
I had bills.

Speaker 2 (01:03:02):
Whatever she's gonna do, I'm considering my life to be
a standstill.

Speaker 1 (01:03:06):
So whatever she has to do with my money, that's
okay with me. I want to give her powers burning
over all my affairs.

Speaker 7 (01:03:13):
All right, Yeah, yeah, you'll have to You'll have to
call to your.

Speaker 3 (01:03:17):
Lawer about that. Obviously that's not something I can do.
But if you'll discuss it with your law.

Speaker 1 (01:03:22):
Is there any way I can use my one phone
call to talk to her. I can't tell you that
you can't, And uh, is there any way I can
just talk with her for a minute?

Speaker 3 (01:03:34):
I asked her.

Speaker 2 (01:03:35):
She wanted to talk to you right now, she said,
Now you've listened, Now go to your thing.
