South Tulsa police are investigating a shooting incident that took place Sunday morning near the London Square Shopping Center at 5700 South Lewis Avenue. Officers originally received a call from the Walmart at East 81st Street, but the victim was located across the street at Wing Stop and later determined the incident happened in the shopping center nearby. The victim described the suspect as a large male of unknown race, wearing a maroon sweater, and reportedly acting erratically and waving his arms. The victim stated he turned away on his bicycle upon seeing a firearm, at which point a shot was fired, ricocheting and striking the victim in the torso before becoming lodged in his upper right arm. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is in stable condition. Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect.

The past week in Tulsa shows continued property crime with a focus on retail theft and auto-related offenses, alongside an isolated shooting in a high-traffic area. Law enforcement remains active in vehicle theft and drug interdiction efforts.

Anyone with information related to any of these incidents is urged to contact the Tulsa Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
