Welcome to Turn the PagePodcast.
This is co-host Tawana Page.

(00:48):
This is a solo episode.
It's just me.
Today I'm actually recording onmy phone because I had this idea
last night and then I forgot todo it.
So I'm doing it now before Iforget.
But I wanted to talk about mySunday reset and like getting
ready for the week, for theupcoming week, um, so, mom of

(01:11):
two boys, six and three we arein summer now.
There's only two weeks left.
It makes me so sad because Ilove summer, but, um, my oldest
started school on the 25th firstgrade, which also makes me sad
because time's a thief, butanyway.
So, boys, they are crazy.

(01:32):
They're all over the place allthe time, always doing stuff on
the weekends, but on Sundaysspecifically, we have them and
swim at 11.30, 11.30 to 12.
So in the morning before that, that gives time for breakfast
and just for me to like chilland to think about how I'm going

(01:54):
to tackle the day.
But I already pretty much knowthat because I use an app called
Structured.
I've talked about it on mypersonal Instagram, which is
teatimetawana, and also thepodcast Instagram, which is turn
the page pod, so you'veprobably seen it.

(02:15):
It's essentially for it's goodfor people who are bad with like
time management or have ADHD orwho have ADHD symptoms.
But I use it literally everyday.
I've been using it, for I don'teven know when I started using
it.
I've literally been using itfor months.

(02:37):
I'm using the free version andthat's literally all I need
because it does everything forme.
So, essentially, you put in,like each day, what you need to
accomplish that day, and I'm achecklist girl.
I like a checklist, I like tocross stuff off my list and I
also sometimes don't tell peoplebut I put things on my list
that weren't on there so I cancross them off.

(02:57):
I just love that satisfaction.
But this is I use it on phoneand each time you do a task you
like, complete it, you hit thislittle circle next to it that
completes it, and the sound thatit gives when it's like
crossing off the list is sosatisfying to me.
Essentially, type in everysingle thing that I have to do

(03:27):
each day, but pretty much it'slike regular stuff, like for the
podcast or like for thebusiness side of it, like turn
the page, so I always have onthere Pinterest and like stuff
for like the blog and thewebsite that's on there every
day day.
So I just duplicate those tasksand then each day is specific,

(03:49):
like for what I need to do, butit also breaks it down like for
time.
I can't like do things like thatwith time.
Some people can do that like, okay, I have 20 minutes to do
this, like at this specific time, like 9 to20.
I can't do that.
I just put it in wherever itlands on the list.
I don't care what time it landson, but it automatically is a

(04:12):
notification to my phone atwhatever time I put that on and
I used to call myself like apaper girly, which I used to be.
I kind of still am.
I just wrote some things down, actually in my planner right
before I hopped on here, becauseI just got a call the boys have
an eye doctor appointment onMonday that I completely forgot

(04:33):
about and she was calling tomove the time and I was like I'm
so happy you called because Icompletely forgot about it.
It wasn't in any of mycalendars paper or digital so I
actually just had to put it onmy calendar on my phone and then
on a paper calendar.
So because it was on nocalendar of mine and I

(04:54):
completely forgot.
And I clearly made theappointment last time we were
there because she wouldn't havebeen calling, because it's in
their system.
But anyway I say all that tosay is that essentially, if
something's not written downsometimes in the paper calendar,
but definitely if it's not inmy phone, it's not happening
Like it doesn't exist to mebecause busy mom of two working

(05:17):
full time.
Dad works full time also, weboth work out of the house.
There's just so many thingsgoing on.
Summer's a little bit easierjust because the oldest is out
of school for the summer, but intwo weeks it's ramping up again
and he started soccer and thenwe're putting him in music
lessons.
There's just a million and tenthings going on.

(05:37):
So I've always been about acalendar.
I used to do post-its.
I've always been about acalendar, I used to do post-its.
But on Sundays I have specificthings that I do on Sundays.
So on Sundays I put on my to-dolist on Sunday on Structured to
meal prep for the week andspecifically what it is.

(05:58):
So boil eggs for the week, that's this week for me, meal
prepping for them, like dad made, made dinner last night.
They'll have leftovers, butsometimes it's like Because my
mom has been watching both ofthem in the summer, like God
bless her.
She usually watches my youngestbecause he's three, but the

(06:19):
oldest we didn't put him insummer camp because summer camp
is so expensive.
That's a whole other episode.
But anyway she is watching bothof them in the summer, so
obviously they need to eat whenthey're over there as well and
she's helping us out.
So each week she'll send me alist of things that she needs
for them for the upcoming week.
So that also involves me likeputting that stuff to the side

(06:42):
after we purchase it to makesure that I bring it on Monday
when I drop them off so she hasit for them for the week.
So that's part of like my mealprep, also in my mind and on my
list about things I need to setaside for Juju.
And also like things for thehouse and like meal prepping for
me and dad pretty much likeeats stuff on his own but he'll,

(07:03):
like he'll eat the dinner thathe makes for us and for them.
But so that's specific for me.
And then, like if I have podcastthings I need to do, like if I
have episodes to upload, likethat follows throughout the week
, the days until I complete it,like I just upload it and
finally has two episodes lastnight and it was on, had been on

(07:29):
my to-do list.
It followed my to-do listprobably for like a month.
Guys, we're a two-woman show,um, both have kids work
full-time, so me and sissy likeit's, it's just us now we're
just roughing it, that's, welove it, that's what we do.
But anyway, I, if I don'tcomplete a task, I it comes with

(07:51):
me to the next day until it'scompleted.
But I just uploaded those twoepisodes last night.
They'll be dropping this weekand next week, but anyway I say
that to say is that that was onmy to-do list on Sunday, and
then also I needed to startworking on the August newsletter
, which I don't know if you guysknow, on the August newsletter,

(08:13):
which I don't know if you guysknow, but we have we, as in
Tawana, which I'm talking rightnow, and Cherie, my sister, the
other co-host, who's usually onthis with me, but, like I said,
this is a solo episode.
She, she, sorry, we have a free, free newsletter that we send
out once a month.
It's only once a month.
Um, we don't spam, we send itout.

(08:35):
Sorry, my throat was dry.
I need to take a sip of water.
Wow, do you know?
It's lunch talking.
I can do when it's just me.
Um, we send it out once a monthand, or, sorry, august is this
month, we send it out for Julyand I am.
I have to prep it for August, but it's free and we always have

(09:00):
in our show notes like how tosign up and everything.
You just drop your name andyour email and you're added to
the list and you get a welcomeemail and then you get the next
email in the sequence likewherever you end up signing up,
like whatever part of the monthyou end up signing up.
But anyway that I had to putthat on my list for Sunday
because I had like.

(09:22):
We use a system called flow deskand at the end of each month,
or like when I, after we havesent out the that current month,
I always start a draft for thenext month, just so it's in
there and it just keeps it going.
Every time I open it it's in myface until it's done.
So we actually sent out July'snewsletter pretty early in July,
so I was able to start anAugust draft already right after

(09:47):
that.
So I made the August draft justput as August, put as August
2025, and that's it.
I haven't started anything yetas like a placeholder, and I was
like, oh, we have plenty oftime.
This was in July, guys, it'sAugust 11th today.
And I was like yesterday,august 10th.
I was like, oh my god, Iliterally have not done anything

(10:08):
with the newsletter, nothingwith it.
I've not done anything with thenewsletter, nothing with it.
It's already August 11th, themonth is almost over.
Um, what am I doing?
So I like quickly changed that.
I, um, sheree, and I addedthings to the like to the

(10:28):
newsletter, still finalizingeverything.
I actually did it all yesterday.
I just have a few more likethings to add in.
But I guess you're probablywondering what's the newsletter
about?
Well, so happy you asked me.
We include updates of our lives.
We include recipes.
We include books that we'rereading, like books that we've
read, so it's book reviews.
So it's book recommendationsand our own book reviews, book

(10:53):
reviews so it's bookrecommendations and our own book
reviews.
And then we share our podcastepisodes.
We also share products thatwe're loving and we also share
like fun facts.
If we come across like funfacts throughout the month, we
want to share.
We make note of that toourselves.
We have like Google google docsthat we share.
That we have for each month forthe newsletter that we add in.

(11:14):
So it's a bunch of like random, cool, fun stuff.
But our turn the page communitythey love it.
I've gotten so much greatfeedback, like in person if it's
like my co-workers, they'll belike I tried that recipe that
you guys recommend it.
Or like I read the book.
It was a turn the pagerecommendation and just like so
many great things that arecoming from these newsletters

(11:34):
and they're free and people lovethem and we love sending them
out and we just love connectingwith our community that way.
But anyway, I hadn't doneanything at all with it.
Neither of us had.
So I like had a minor freak outand I was like, just put it on
the to-do list and just put iton there.
Work on it today if you can.
If not, continue to have itfollow you until you're done.

(11:58):
So that's what I did yesterdayafter swim and all the things.
So we dad mainly does the foodshopping, um, but I did, did it
yesterday, um, so we switch offwith that.
Sometimes he does it like 90%of the time and then I just did

(12:21):
it yesterday and then I'llfigure out like meals or like
we'll talk about meals and we'lltalk about what we're making
that week.
So that's part of the Sunday.
And then, um, I my mom alsolike an added benefit and you
know, for her watching us or forher watching us, for her

(12:42):
watching our kids, she also doestheir laundry for me on like
Thursday or Friday.
So I put you Sunday as a day toput their clothes away and also
to put my clothes away that I'vebeen doing laundry probably
from the last week or throughoutthe week that I haven't put
away yet.
So Sunday is for that as well, and then getting all of our

(13:03):
clothes ready for the upcomingMonday, and then also sometimes
Tuesday for them, I'll lay themout on their dresser.
Also sometimes Tuesday for them, I'll lay them out on their
dresser.
And then also every Sundayafter swim, um immediately put
their swim stuff and their towelin the washer, so I don't
forget it.
Um, like for next Sunday, andthey have each have a swim bag,

(13:25):
so I will unpack that, takeeverything out and then repack
it for the following Sunday, just just so that's done, and
that's like a change of clothesand just like you know, towels
and just like everything.
And they wear, of course, liketheir swimsuit to swim class.
But, um, that's part of mySunday as well and they will be
doing swim like even when it'snot summer, cause it's indoor,

(13:47):
so swim all year round, which ispretty cool.
They started in March, soobviously we weren't swimming
outdoors in March, but theystill.
They still go to the pool orhave been on the weekends.
But yeah, that's my Sunday, likereset and getting ready for the
week and it.

(14:08):
I need it because, like, forexample, today, monday, I feel
like I ran a full marathongetting them out of the house
and getting them to my mom'sfinally, and I had to do all
this stuff in the morning justbecause I'm always just doing a
whole bunch of stuff in themorning, but a lot of things
were already prepped for me tojust grab and put in my bag.

(14:30):
Like I had my mom's stuff tothe side that I was bringing to
her for them for the week.
Um, like I will do morningstuff and then dad does pick up
and dinner and I come home, decompress and then bathe them
in bedtime.
But I do that.
I'm pretty sure a lot of thetasks on Sundays are going to
change in two weeks when schoolstarts because, like I said,

(14:53):
soccer starting in September andthen we're starting the oldest,
also music lesson, so that'salso going to change.
But mainly Sunday is me formeal prep and just like making
sure things are in check withthe business and the podcast and
just making sure everything isin line.

(15:14):
But I am interested to hear whatyou guys do on like a Sunday
reset.
That's just the start of myweek.
I mean we probably havelisteners that you know the
start of their week is maybelike a Tuesday or Wednesday.
Maybe they're in the medicalfield and they work like three
straight days or any field thatyou guys are in work from home,
anything we um send us a dm.

(15:37):
You can also email us.
It's turn the page p-a-i-g-e521 at gmailcom.
Um or put it in the reviewsection about, like, what your
son, what your reset for theweek looks like.
Um, it's just fun to hear otherpeople's and then we will do an
episode soon at the talk toShuri about it like a morning

(15:59):
routine one, because it'sdifferent for everybody, or like
a night routine one.
So I have some fun things withthat as well.
But I just wanted to quicklyshare that because it was
definitely going to leave mymind and I didn't put it in my
structured app so I knew I wasgoing to forget it.
So I was like, let me just whipout my phone and record this

(16:20):
before it leaves my mind andnever returns.
But yeah, so that's my Sundayreset.
Um, I just wanted to come inhere and share that with you
guys, but I hope you guys have agood start to your week,
although I'm recording this on aMonday and talking about the
Sunday reset for the week, butwhatever day of the week you

(16:40):
