Speaker 1 (00:00):
That's an illegal alien being deported by ICE.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
He's not opening the vehicle, looks like it broke the glasses.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
He'll be taken to a detention center like this, where
he'll probably get deported from the country. But luckily for him,
he was just arrested in the sanctuary state of Washington,
meaning this state actively does not cooperate with the federal
government to turn over known illegal immigrants to federal immigration
(00:31):
enforcement agencies like ICE.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
Are you gonna buy the camera? He lift it, he
licked a lens.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
You know, I'm not a fan of a Nazi administration.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
Who Yes, we have ICE agent right here.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
So how does ICE arrest illegals in a state that
doesn't want them to? Which illegal aliens are ICE looking for?
Speaker 2 (00:51):
First? What rights do they have?
Speaker 1 (00:53):
And how does the deportation process work from arrest the deportation.
Speaker 4 (00:58):
When asked if there's a way to cat carry out
nasty portations without separating families, Homan said this, of.
Speaker 5 (01:04):
Course, families can be deported together.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
Before I am bed with ICE agents arresting illegals and
Seattle journalists Jonathan Show, what do the residents of Seattle
think about ICE and mass deportations? Okay, So we're asking
people out here and Washington their thoughts on like ice
rates ice Dad.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
Yeah, yeah, Nazis tend.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
To be bad.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
Legs in El Mundo, in Estepais. No, no, so fed
you're not a fan.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
Yeah no, I think like any basically moral person, you know,
I'm not a fan of a Nazi administration.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Mons okay, wi a month.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
A month. If there are any like heinous criminals out
there who happen to be undocumented, should they be sent
away or or no?
Speaker 3 (01:58):
That's what he and new process goes through constitutional protections
for sort of thing by to anybody within the laws
of a country. Many Americans don't recognize it. If you
go to another country, you are subject to that country's laws,
including its protections I to do. I study immigration law
in law school.
Speaker 6 (02:16):
So yeah, I think there needs to be an expedited
process for the people that are escaping violence in other countries.
But I think there should be a quick and legal
process to help all of these people move to the
US if they want to be here, and.
Speaker 7 (02:29):
A lot of them are here, you know, because they're
escaping danger from other countries.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
And that's the tradition of the United States. Got it.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
It should there be a distinction between an economic migrant
and a refugee fleeing like a war torn country.
Speaker 8 (02:42):
No, no, there's still people.
Speaker 9 (02:45):
If you're illegal, I would say, try and go through
the proper systems. Of course, obviously asylum seekers of wish
them the best, but after all, this is a country
with infrastructure and people, and we have to still you know,
help yourself before can help others.
Speaker 8 (03:00):
If they're here, not mean you know, illegally, they should
be deported.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
I do not support it.
Speaker 10 (03:06):
Support they need due process, I mean, this is ridiculous.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
That's what we're based on.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
If they're afforded due process and it is for a
fact decided that they illegally entered the country, is deportation
the best solution in your opinion or or no?
Speaker 2 (03:20):
What depends on the crime.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
What are your thoughts on Washington as a sanctuary state
if you will basically not cooperating with the federal government.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
That's sort of combative relationship they have right now.
Speaker 10 (03:29):
Well as long as the federal government is not operating legally. Yeah,
I would say that would be okay position on my
From my.
Speaker 6 (03:37):
Position, like we wouldn't have this concept of sanctuary cities
if we had a robust enough border patrol, immigration system,
legal system.
Speaker 10 (03:48):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
So if their only crime is illegally entering the country,
do you think, like not serious?
Speaker 1 (03:54):
So if they legally answer it, maybe they like, I
don't know, murder someone is that? What's the line?
Speaker 2 (03:59):
Yeah? Well crime and illegal who's committed to crime?
Speaker 1 (04:02):
So they the top of the list, definitely. What are
your thoughts on ice rates happening in Washington right now? Uh,
he's pretty terrible.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Do you think it's unconstitutional? Of course?
Speaker 11 (04:13):
I think, And so I think that people aren't going
to care about the ice raids and people that are
legal immigrants. I think that can be handled in a
different way. I don't think that coming and just snatching
people up is really a good thing.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
I don't think it's good.
Speaker 6 (04:25):
And I think how they're doing it with plane closed,
the clothes officers jumping out of a car.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
And taking people off the street for their public descent.
Speaker 6 (04:35):
Their expression of free speech is very problematic, you know
it'll I mean, we're all referencing the Holocaust at this point,
we're all referencing Nazis.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
What are your thoughts on the l Salvador megaprison as
a concept. People being shipped over there.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
It's up things. It's terrible.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
Do you think the L Salvador Mega prison is akin
to let's say, concentration camp in Poland? Is that kind
of the parallels we're thinking of. I think it's hard
to argue against. It is violation of human rights.
Speaker 10 (05:06):
I'd say in most cases, yeah, no trial and there's
no way to get out, and nobody's supposedly left the
facility alive.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
What are your thoughts on the Trump administration thus far?
Speaker 8 (05:19):
I don't support that Trump does. I think the president
should be impeached.
Speaker 10 (05:25):
The worst possible president we've ever had.
Speaker 9 (05:27):
I left to the US because of Trump the first
time around, and I moved to Hong Kong.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
Any thoughts I come to mind?
Speaker 12 (05:35):
Yes, I think we should deport Trump.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
Where should he be sent El Salvador?
Speaker 8 (05:39):
Yes to that prison. Everybody has the ability to be human.
Speaker 13 (05:43):
It's a choice, though, and I wish more would choose
to be human to the vulnerable people of this world
and stop judging them to need more people of every flavor,
because that's what this country was founded on. Because we're
all immigrants, and the Native Americans are going to take
it back, because if you're going to get into history,
we're all trespassing.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
There's no illegal status on stolen land, is what you're
saying is.
Speaker 8 (06:07):
There's no illegal status.
Speaker 13 (06:09):
If you're coming here to better yourself part of a civilization.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
I mean illegal.
Speaker 8 (06:13):
Go back to where you come from.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
Go back home, Yes, go back home. And this isn't home.
Speaker 8 (06:17):
This is not your home.
Speaker 13 (06:18):
If we didn't have diversity, this would be a really
boring show.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
So I'm going to go on an ice raiate. What
is a question you might have for that.
Speaker 13 (06:26):
Woke is just a term for giving a ship who
have compassion, who have a heart, who want you to
be their neighbor. I like all the colors in the rainbow.
If it was just white, it would be super boring.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
And any advice for an undocumented migrant out there who's
considering fleeing the country or it's afraid for.
Speaker 11 (06:46):
Their I'm concerned that they're going to just start taking
anyone who disagrees with with with the current administration. And
I've been kind of like looking into some of that,
and there's definitely some questionable things that have already happened
and people that have been taken that where it's like
I was this person taken?
Speaker 1 (07:01):
Yeah, most legal citizens being detained and since al Salvadore, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
Exactly exactly.
Speaker 11 (07:05):
That's highly concerned with.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
Seattle residents mostly opposed to the presence of ICE, with
some claiming the deportations were illegal and that legal citizens
are being arrested as well. Before I see ICE arresting
illegals up close, I met up with Seattle journalist Jonathan
Chow into Coma to visit a privately run detention center
operated by Geogroup on behalf of ICE that holds all
(07:29):
the people arrested by ICE until their fate is decided.
Were the people arrested and sent here subjected to concentration
camp like conditions as some Seattle residents and activists feared,
And behind me, we have a memorial where two people
died in custody.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
Is that what happened? Well?
Speaker 14 (07:46):
Yes, unfortunately people have died in custody. Yet at the
same time, the circumstances are a bit murky. A far
left activist group called La Resistensia put up this makeshift memorial.
In fact, you know, every other week they're out here
protesting as well. They want this ICE detention center shut
down permanently. Essentially, this is where illegals are taken for
(08:07):
processing before deportation, or some are even released here back
onto the streets as they're waiting for asylum.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
And are these the buses people are being transported in
Illegals are being captured and then sent here on.
Speaker 14 (08:19):
Yeah, very similar buses. The buses you'll usually see that
are being used to transport illegals will also have bars
on the windows.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Shinga la migra, which basically means the immigration and then
an anarchist symbol.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
Oh all right, so.
Speaker 14 (08:35):
Let me just be in in fairness to the officers
who have to guard this place slower. They're not concerned
about us necessarily, They're concerned about the far left activists
that will go in there and try to vandalize these buses.
I see that these types of attempts have been made.
I mean people have thrown molotov cocktails over the fences,
People spray pain, vandalize constantly.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
So I get the.
Speaker 14 (08:52):
Tension in here, so it would be released actually at
that other end of the fence, and then they'll likely
bump into these advocates right here at this fence.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
Talk to them. Let's see what they do and why
they're here. Free them all. A C A B switch
stands for all.
Speaker 14 (09:09):
Cops are bastards. Oh damn more signs they're abolish ice.
Free them all.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
They're on the graffitis everywhere.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
As we inspected the exterior, we saw this activist groups
tend and met this guy.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
We're trying to figure out who you guys are. I
think you should speak. I don't know if you are.
Speaker 9 (09:25):
I haven't.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
Whoa Okay, how was it? You don't have you don't
have to talk to them, But.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
Obviously you don't have to talk because are your own person.
You have your own free will.
Speaker 2 (09:36):
You know those him?
Speaker 15 (09:36):
You know?
Speaker 2 (09:37):
If those't me? I'm just we're just curious, guys. How
you doing good?
Speaker 10 (09:40):
How are you?
Speaker 2 (09:41):
We're curious what you guys do.
Speaker 16 (09:42):
Yeah, so we're here to support immigrants when they're released. Uh,
do you mind if I ask that you don't broadcast
his images without a photo release?
Speaker 2 (09:50):
Please?
Speaker 14 (09:51):
Well, he was willing to talk to us free will
on the public street.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
Now you don't want to, yeah, I mean we can
just talked to you if you Yeah. Yeah, we're right. Fun, fun,
good to meet you by the clubs. Congrats on the release. Yeah, yeah,
so that is true. Yeah, what do you do?
Speaker 16 (10:05):
So we're here to support immigrants were released from iceed attention.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
So you guys are like the first pit stop once
they're released as.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
So much yeap.
Speaker 16 (10:12):
So we're here every day of the week and our
mission is to support all immigrants who are released here
and as well as those are who are inside.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
For example, if there was a guy we just spoke
to who was released, what is his next step?
Speaker 2 (10:25):
What resources do you guys provide? One?
Speaker 16 (10:27):
I can't provide food, clothing, water, transport, housing if necessary.
Speaker 17 (10:32):
To my knowledge, this may not be accurate, but sixty
percent of everybody in there gets reported, so visitation is
really important.
Speaker 7 (10:40):
We also prepared deportation.
Speaker 17 (10:41):
Bags for people who requested and our organization almost all
volunteer live.
Speaker 7 (10:48):
It's been here for fifteen years.
Speaker 17 (10:50):
Could be welcome.
Speaker 15 (10:51):
Then we make sure that we check them in so
we take down their information.
Speaker 17 (10:57):
Takedown as little as possible. We only take what we
need to know to book them, help them break air tickets.
Speaker 18 (11:05):
It has naxt it has hot water.
Speaker 7 (11:07):
Can we give over two thousand dollars.
Speaker 17 (11:09):
A month in phone cards? Because the people inside have
no way to reach their their families.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
How are you getting funded.
Speaker 7 (11:17):
Twenty dollars donations?
Speaker 1 (11:19):
And we saw the memorial over there it appears as
if two people died in custody.
Speaker 16 (11:23):
Yes, that was last year and we're not connected with
that memorial.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (11:27):
Is that is there another group low Resistensia, Yes, that's correct, Yes,
saying collaboration or.
Speaker 16 (11:33):
We do not work with them directly.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
Okay.
Speaker 14 (11:35):
I have a different ethos, a different okay, the whereas
lover Resistensia, they're trying to abolish this place. They're far
left activists. It's a different approach to trying to help
in this crisis. Who's being released exactly, Well, it's the.
Speaker 17 (11:47):
Lucky few who have been through immigration court hearing.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
Oh it means, it.
Speaker 17 (11:52):
Means different things from different people. That very few who
have been granted asylum are pretty much free to carry on.
Ones that are out on bond or some other who
have hearing. Sometimes they're months and months or even years way.
The largest group probably in the last year from India.
Speaker 14 (12:11):
But again it confirms again Tyler that you know people
again undocumented migrants, they are being released.
Speaker 16 (12:17):
Well undocumented isn't correct. Actually, everyone who's in this facility
is going through the legal process of staying in this country.
So calling them undocumented is not a acurate.
Speaker 2 (12:27):
What would they be then if the asylum seekers?
Speaker 16 (12:29):
Correct?
Speaker 2 (12:29):
I see, so everyone here is a documented asylum seeker.
Speaker 16 (12:32):
Yes, some of them come from ice raids. Others show
up at the border, apply for asylum, They get their
credible fear interview, and then they will be processed here,
usually processed at a facility closer to the border, and
then brought here for intake. And so then they'll stay
here for one to six months while they go through
the immigration court system.
Speaker 14 (12:53):
A lot of the men and women who are transported
through Boeing Field also end up at this detention facilities. Correct, Right,
so some of those people aren't still considered quote unquote
I legals.
Speaker 16 (13:03):
Well not really though, because they are in fact in
the legal system going through the legal steps to stay
in this country.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
Got it.
Speaker 14 (13:12):
We just want to get to the truth. We want
to hear another perspective. We really genuinely want to know
what the conditions are like inside, if they're being mistreated
or if they're actually being treated in a fair and
humane way. The semantics as well, right, you guys have
all across your illegally. But now once you're in the system,
you're you're not legal, You're you're seeking asilum. Yeah, well
(13:33):
you look like he use African. You know, it's probably
from one of the African nations, stating the obvious, mister obvious.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
Here, the question is where's he from, how he get
locked up, where was he detained?
Speaker 2 (13:44):
How long was he in there? Those are my curiosities.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
After speaking with this group providing relief and aid to
those released from the detention center, after they cock blocked
my interview with this guy who was just released, what
did the people currently inside want to share with the world.
And there was recently a prison break, an illegal escape
to this facility. Yeah, you know, authority say, a fellow
from Venezuela somehow managed to get through a fence. I
(14:10):
don't know all the details, but he was eventually apprehended
three days later in Portland, Oregon. Whoatly that was a
huge security breach. Not a good look for this detention center. Okay,
So I would imagine part of the narrative from the
La Resistencia and the left leaning groups is that these
people are being mistreated at all times. Seems at the
very least there's some outdoor time, a nice playing field
(14:33):
to play some soccer.
Speaker 14 (14:34):
As opposed to human rights violations, definitely, it appears the fos.
Speaker 2 (14:39):
You are right. We have a truck right here following us.
That is a security.
Speaker 19 (14:43):
Yo, homies, come us us, come ust us. When come
out you're talking?
Speaker 1 (14:52):
Ay, hey nobs, how Ice is trying.
Speaker 19 (14:59):
To block holah aye hip hip h come over here
say hello, whoa hollah hollah?
Speaker 2 (15:21):
That's us.
Speaker 5 (15:26):
Right now, right now, right now?
Speaker 20 (15:31):
Okay, okay, they want out, they don't they us amangs,
pretty good time go my side to tiempoy in prison,
my man, I can't stupid apress poor mundo.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
Okay, like you have like Muslims in here too, all right,
we gotta go. Okay, how do yours to get out
of here? For the volleyball? Didn't I tell you yo?
Sorcer ball?
Speaker 14 (16:05):
I can get Here's the bottom line. I mean they're
itching to talk. They want to, you know, tell their
side of the store. Yeah, but rarely will you have
another opportunity like this today. Obviously Spanish was the primary
language being spoken. But you know, I saw some you know,
Middle Eastern looking man. I saw an Asian guy there
as well, so again, this border crisis has allowed people
(16:26):
from all over the world to enter America and Seattle,
this region, the Pacific Northwest, continues to be an important
hub for ICE and.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
Its deportation efforts.
Speaker 14 (16:38):
We really are in an information war, right, So you know,
ICE has its narrative, the activists have their narrative, and
then there's a truth somewhere in the middle, right, So
we are trying to always determine what the truth is,
what's happened in real time as journalists out here. This
is the type of coverage you're not going to see
in local mainstream media.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
After saying the ICE detention center up front, we headed
to a church into Quilla run by pastor Jan that
was at one point hosting hundreds of migrants seeking asylum.
Has ICE come knocking yet? How long have these migrants
been waiting here? And did they enter illegally? So the
question is can ICE actually come rade these people? Are
(17:20):
they protected?
Speaker 14 (17:21):
That is unclear and that's a question I want to
ask ICE as well. Borders our Tom Holman has said
on the record they're only interested in illegals who have
committed crimes and have been convicted of serious crimes.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
Crimes beyond the illegal entry of the country.
Speaker 14 (17:36):
On the illegal entry, we're talking murder, rape, DUIs so.
A lot of these folks here, they're primarily from Haiti
and Venezuela, and they're literally fresh off the boat. They
just crossed the border and they've been here for a
few months.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
Why don't we poke our head in right now, see
if we can see some people in the tiny village.
Speaker 14 (17:53):
You know what's really frustrating, I think for a lot
of Americans, especially those who are working in the homeless
outreach space. A lot of these tiny houses villages initially
were designated for Americans and needs, but now they're going
to illegals. But we're talking about money resources.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
Should argue their refugees, right, that's her contention. That's all
these people. Sure, that's what you're saying.
Speaker 14 (18:12):
You don't know exactly what their background is.
Speaker 1 (18:18):
Went on out when Okay, then my friend come as
as Then the Venezuela comes to a Viaki when on
mal whenas yes, Seattle, Seattle personas fear for ice ice.
Speaker 21 (18:50):
Okay, okay, brenda okay, okay.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
Legal okay, legal, alright, Hi, how are you excuse me?
I would like to know who are you my name
is Tyler. Joseph Joseph. How are you? I'm very good.
Where are you from? I'm from Uganda? Okay, how long
have you been here? Well, I'm a person I would
let you know. What's the whole. Ah, we're just talking
(19:24):
to the locals here. We hear the good work Jens doing.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
Next time when you're doing natural I see, because what
you're doing great hate.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
Really okay, we didn't know.
Speaker 1 (19:36):
So speaking of illegal we're trying to talk to people
who have illegally entered the country.
Speaker 2 (19:40):
Do you know any people here?
Speaker 1 (19:41):
You have to know?
Speaker 2 (19:43):
PTE. Who are you? Ask those people? I see?
Speaker 1 (19:46):
My name is Tyler, They're nont there. Alice Venezuela Quantoski,
who know those?
Speaker 2 (19:54):
When I'm out?
Speaker 1 (19:56):
Okay, nice living conditions out here, pretty organized. Okay, we've
seen the tiny village. Very nice place. Shall we leave.
We're leaving. We're leaving.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
Very nice people though.
Speaker 14 (20:08):
I think what's so frustrating for a lot of you know,
people in the homeless outreach space here is that there
are Americans here in need and Washington state ranked number
three in homelessness. There are Americans on the streets who
are not getting the same resources as people who have
come illegally across the border.
Speaker 1 (20:23):
So we had an inside to see who lived here
and if ICE had visited this church yet.
Speaker 14 (20:28):
How's everything going film? Can you just give me an
update outside? I just want to know are you concerned
ICE agents might come to this church. I just want
to know what precautions you're taking or measures you're taking.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
Yeah, that's why we are very careful with out the doors.
Speaker 14 (20:45):
Do they have authority to come here and apprehend people? Well,
you've done a great job moving a lot of the
illegals off this property into hotels. Since I first reported
on this encampment, that field here was covered with dozens
of tents.
Speaker 1 (20:59):
Yeah, I mean, but this is this is crazy. Can
ICE capture these people?
Speaker 9 (21:02):
Uh?
Speaker 14 (21:03):
Yeah, I believe they can again if they deem some
of these men and women actual criminals beyond just crossing
the border illegally.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
What problems have you seen in the local community because
of the people here? If any not?
Speaker 15 (21:14):
My problems, I'm going to tell you before this a
lot of garbage, a lot of drink people right now,
this pre required Ye, you're looking clean. Before I got
a lot of problems in my cars, broke my windows,
to the old teens.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
But right now it's nice.
Speaker 14 (21:32):
But again I think with a smaller group now here
at the church, you're also seeing fewer problems and a
decrease in nine more more calls.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
And if the Washington homeless population were to see this,
do you think they'd be insulted?
Speaker 7 (21:44):
Oh?
Speaker 14 (21:44):
Absolutely, I've really done stories about that and they know.
I mean, for example, there are empty hotels right now
in King County that was you know, designated for the
homeless that are sitting empty, and activist groups like Lottery's Cistencia,
we're demanding that those hotels go to these illegals.
Speaker 2 (21:59):
You know, j good intentions. The question is will it
all pan out.
Speaker 1 (22:03):
After visiting the church, we received news that ICE had
just arrested seventeen alleged illegals working at a beverage manufacturer
in Kent. We pulled up to ask if this business
was knowingly employing illegals.
Speaker 14 (22:15):
This company was already under investigation prior to this raid.
But again we're here to find out. If management wants
to talk about what happens.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
Hop in ask him about the Ice ray. Do you
know about the Ice rad All right?
Speaker 2 (22:27):
Just a private property. I'm gonna have to ask you
to leave. Sorry, no, I don't record. You don't have permission.
You don't have permission to record me. Please don't record me.
Speaker 1 (22:34):
You know about the ice rad No, no comment, Please leave.
I'm gonna ask them about do you know.
Speaker 2 (22:38):
About the ice ray?
Speaker 1 (22:39):
No?
Speaker 2 (22:41):
Okay, you don't have permission over me.
Speaker 14 (22:46):
A big guy coming through, Big guy coming through.
Speaker 2 (22:51):
Let's go over there. This is the scene of the crime,
if you.
Speaker 14 (22:54):
Will, well, at least that's where you know the ice
bus showed up and you know the illegals were being
apprehended and pulled out in handcuffs and shackles. They're closing
the doors right now because we showed up. Yo, looks
like the screens are open. The screen, this one's wide open.
Still question for you.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
You know about the ice ray? Do you know about
the ice ray?
Speaker 1 (23:16):
They're all tweaking, so obviously they're hiring illegals, they're exploiting
the labor market, they're undercutting American laborers. Honestly, they're contributing
to a massive problem. In my opinion, discussing ice raids
out here was a touchy subject. Luckily, on my drive
back home found a few local protesters who could explain
to me exactly what was going on out here. We
saw you guys on Twitter. We're here to amplify your voices.
(23:37):
We want to hear what's going on, what you guys
are protesting about. I don't think we're really off ICE
speak to anyone, so you might want to talk to
Are you guys like Lavra's estensia, are guys with an
organization or just individual?
Speaker 2 (23:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (23:50):
We got ICE equals Gestapo. What do we got here?
No one is illegal on stone Land. Ice of Seattle
stop kidnapping our community.
Speaker 2 (23:59):
They are right now. They're not opthorized to speak and
use their voice.
Speaker 1 (24:03):
Apparently seems a bit infantile to come out here with
the sign and not share. Honestly, some plussies. There's an
opportunity for other people to learn from things, and we
do have years and we're willing to listen with rumors
of ICE waiting to arrest suspected illegals after their core hearing,
and with local activists there to document any violation of
their rights. I had it inside the immigration court to
(24:24):
see what we would find before we go on a
right along with ICE in this area of media corruption
and bias It's tough to know what's fake news and
what's real news. But luckily the sponsor of this video,
Straight Arrow News can help you find fact based reporting
from the left, right, and center. Using their media misstool,
you can stay up to date on what the mainstream
news outlets don't cover on both the right and the left,
(24:44):
like Trump criticizing past US foreign policy while outlining a
vision for the Middle East on the left, and to
challenge to Louisiana law that lists abortion pills as controlled
substances on the right. As I edited this video, I
found that hundreds of migrants are being fined millions by
ice under rarely used immigration law, and that a new
Texas bill could block social media access if you're under eighteen.
(25:07):
And if you want to learn more about a given story,
their media landscape tool displays the news outlets covering the
story and groups them according to their bias. And if
you want to find the original coverage from the outlets
that reported it, click the outlets icon and it'll take
you directly.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
To their coverage.
Speaker 1 (25:21):
If you want to stay informed that navigate misinformation, and
avoid media bias, go to san dot com. Slash Tyler
OLIVERA for free. Thanks for rading our news. Back to ICE.
We're looking for ICE agents waiting on the outside of
these courtrooms, ready to arrest and deport. We don't know
if we'll find any, but yesterday they were out here
waiting outside these courtrooms.
Speaker 2 (25:40):
Ice. Oh yeah, where are they? Thank you? Like actual agents? Okay?
Oh yes, Ice, I guess we found ICE. So they're here.
Speaker 1 (25:55):
They're waiting outside the immigration cords four five they went
back inside. Do we think they're trying to act like
arrests and deport people after like immigration court? Yes?
Speaker 13 (26:04):
I think so.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
Did you see like five? Six?
Speaker 22 (26:07):
Okay?
Speaker 7 (26:08):
Thanks?
Speaker 2 (26:08):
Why are you here?
Speaker 7 (26:09):
I am an observer?
Speaker 2 (26:11):
What are your concerns?
Speaker 7 (26:12):
I want to make sure that if immigrants are detained
or threatened up in other rights, but we want to
let them know that they have the right to appeal
the court decision.
Speaker 2 (26:23):
What group are you guys with?
Speaker 7 (26:24):
Basically I am with Indivisible.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
Wow, you're saying we can't film anything.
Speaker 8 (26:28):
We've been given permission to go ahead and prohibitat.
Speaker 2 (26:30):
Who are you turn it off? What's the legal of flority?
Please identify? We know who is here? First protected activity?
You can't film the hallway? All right? I don't know
what we did. Y see Ice, I saw them. Did
you guys seem like.
Speaker 1 (26:48):
The activists that infiltrated every leg of the ICE deportation
process back there?
Speaker 2 (26:52):
My name is Tyler.
Speaker 6 (26:53):
Okay, so who are you with?
Speaker 2 (26:57):
Just own news?
Speaker 1 (26:57):
We're just doing a little independent news piece. Are yes
here at to like detect the rights of people? I
sending immigration court?
Speaker 5 (27:03):
And yeah, go.
Speaker 2 (27:07):
Ahead in question for you? Yes?
Speaker 1 (27:11):
Any legal status in question right now? Any concernsive deportation?
Her guy, he's trying to body us. Why are you
being weird? Probably they moved what's your deck?
Speaker 14 (27:26):
And they want to make sure you know the legals
rights are not being violated. At the same time, because
of a new law essentially that's in play, ICE agents
now can come to these court hearings and if the
judge dismisses the case, boom, that's when the agents come
in and sweep and apprehend the illegals. Borders are tom
Homans at numerous times that even if local authorities do
(27:47):
not cooperate and assist ICE agents, they're still going to
operate and do their jobs.
Speaker 23 (27:57):
No interaction here, it gets fires act there.
Speaker 1 (28:02):
So we have ICE agent right here. This guy body shift.
This is trying to body shove his way in there.
I think he'll lose this fight, but it's honorable. It's
a violation of fire code. Is that what they're saying.
Speaker 6 (28:11):
I'm worried about the ability for people to come and
go in the case of elevator failure.
Speaker 2 (28:16):
ICE agents are on the stairwells right now.
Speaker 14 (28:18):
The activists got word and now they're trying to disrupt.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
I see.
Speaker 2 (28:20):
It seems like the activists know everything somehow.
Speaker 14 (28:22):
If they get in the way of federal agents, it
is a crime. And look what he's doing. I mean
he's using his foot to prop it open against so relates.
Speaker 15 (28:29):
Against fire code to block the doors.
Speaker 2 (28:31):
So we're just trying to open the access, that's all.
Speaker 7 (28:34):
I excuse me?
Speaker 10 (28:35):
Can I go down the stairs?
Speaker 1 (28:36):
To be fair, we don't actually know who these people are.
They haven't self identified. We presume their ICE agents. He's
holding the door open. Looks like ICE or what we
think is ICE is going downstairs. I guess there's one
guy holding it open right now. I presume he's gonna
storm through the moment the store is openable not being clear,
so clear, All right, let's see what was down we
come in peace. Let's see who they were where they went. Okay,
(29:00):
I think we have ICE? Yoh, can we interview you guys?
Are you guys Ice? We come in peace, we interview
you guys. All right, So they're gone, no identification, no knowledge,
We don't know who they are.
Speaker 2 (29:14):
We only think they're Ice.
Speaker 14 (29:15):
That was fascinating though, to see kind of the tactics
now being used by both sides, by presumably ICE agents
as well as the far left activists.
Speaker 1 (29:22):
This is immigration court, a few people trying to work
out their legal status right now, and there are lawyers
activists everywhere. Logic right now is that they have the
flow of information. They know everything before anyone else does.
They seem to be a siphon on the trail of
intel here. They're here whenever ICE is here, and vice versa.
I think we should ask them, how are you guys
always here when ICE shows up? We're trying to show
up as well.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
How are you guys getting tipped off? Do you guys
have inside sources or have you guys seen.
Speaker 1 (29:48):
Any anything Ice is done that's like violated any rights
anything that people should know genuinely.
Speaker 2 (29:55):
Oh, I don't have a website all the media is
just on socials.
Speaker 1 (29:59):
Yeah, I guess we're not on a conversation honorably though.
Speaker 2 (30:02):
My name is Tyler OLIVERA. We don't do handshakes, no, no.
Speaker 4 (30:05):
No, no.
Speaker 7 (30:05):
It's like a COVID Germany what referred to the normans
and documented immigrants are working their way through the documentation process.
They're still in this country with approval. They might not
be citizens yet, but they are documented, got it.
Speaker 2 (30:24):
What would be the correct term?
Speaker 7 (30:25):
Just immigrants?
Speaker 2 (30:25):
Immigrants? Okay, plan and simple, all right.
Speaker 1 (30:28):
There's definitely some some politics here in terms of terminology,
political correctness.
Speaker 2 (30:33):
We're in the belly of the beasts and they all
hate you now they hate me.
Speaker 14 (30:35):
I mean we're in the middle of an information war
as well.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
Right in between. There's no room for nuance. There's no
room for understanding, no room for conversation. What what was that?
What happened? You don't have permission to report me? Thank you?
I think we do. We actually legally do another soil there.
Speaker 1 (30:53):
The tensions here were high, as all parties and attendance
were predicting that ICE would arrest someone here after their
immigration court hearing. If you weren't with the activists, then
you were against them.
Speaker 5 (31:03):
It's just like some low quality right wing tubers.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
Or we're.
Speaker 14 (31:09):
Just trying to.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
Unavoidable.
Speaker 1 (31:12):
But we have people legitimately coming through for their immigration
court right now, about three floors volunteers coming in. But
finally I managed to speak to a lawyer and some
immigrants here to hopefully resolve their legal status.
Speaker 2 (31:25):
Are you a lawyer? Can you tell us the worker does?
I'm a chill guy. They're all about team right, team Blue.
I'm just a guy trying to get the truth. What
are you doing here today?
Speaker 22 (31:35):
I'm representing a client.
Speaker 2 (31:36):
Primary concerns coming in here? Is this pro bono?
Speaker 14 (31:39):
What's what's going on?
Speaker 22 (31:41):
I work for a law firm.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
Okay, it's your client, like and undocumented migrants legedly.
Speaker 2 (31:46):
No, what's the work you're doing out here today? I
noticed this?
Speaker 1 (31:48):
And thank you?
Speaker 22 (31:49):
Representing an immigrant who's you know, seeking a legal pathway.
Speaker 5 (31:53):
To see here?
Speaker 2 (31:54):
Are yes here to get like a citizenship status? No English?
Trying to get paperwork handle America? How long have you
guys been here?
Speaker 1 (32:06):
What is the legal procedure by which they can take
someone here and maybe arrests and the port them.
Speaker 22 (32:10):
Ice attorneys are doing motions to dismiss and if the
judge grants it, then that person's application for a leief
has just magically disappeared at that moment. And then they
are they walk out of court and apparently I says,
handcuffing them then and putting them into expedited removal proceedings
if or not not proceedings.
Speaker 1 (32:30):
Sure are you seeking like political asylum? What religion are
you leg do who witnesses? What if the lawyers told you.
Speaker 2 (32:48):
Extremistic? And did you guys come through come into the
United States through a legal port of entry is Mexic c.
Speaker 22 (32:58):
BP and the general rites information is that you don't
have to talk about your legal your immigration status. You
have to identify yourself to law enforcement if they identify themselves,
but you don'twise have to tell them anything.
Speaker 2 (33:10):
And you guys have concerns of deportation the ice should you.
Speaker 1 (33:20):
Rob shove me? These guys are shoving us around for
no reason. We're civil no one here.
Speaker 14 (33:35):
It'll be pushing them.
Speaker 2 (33:37):
Oh man, the lives are hostile right now? My hand
I didn't the camera dogs.
Speaker 1 (33:51):
This goofy faced added want to be SoundCloud wrappers scootered
away to hopefully fill out a job application with no
ice arrest today at court, we returned back. You're next
morning only to see an anti ice protest. I want
to make sure you're asking people's permission before you take
pictures of their face.
Speaker 2 (34:07):
What peaceful protest? I'm the most peaceful guy here. You're
just the scumbacker. If you pulled your head out of
your ass, you can come join us. What's on the
right side? What is your name? My name is your problem?
I just walked up here.
Speaker 1 (34:22):
She's concerned too, because you're acting crazy right now. Listen
to her, bro, respect people. Are you're acting crazy?
Speaker 2 (34:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (34:30):
Whatever you say, this is public property. Everyone's publicly protesting.
You don't press it. Don't press her.
Speaker 2 (34:37):
Bro, you got you're crazy.
Speaker 1 (34:44):
Camera person?
Speaker 2 (34:46):
Then, as am I as I know you are.
Speaker 8 (34:50):
You stop photographing people.
Speaker 2 (34:51):
This is public property. Everyone has a phone out. What
are you talking about? You don't need to be pointing
your camera at people. I'm observing this. Get away from me, dude,
Get the fuck away from me. I think you need
to leave this. I think you need to back up
right now. You backed the How about that?
Speaker 22 (35:11):
That?
Speaker 2 (35:12):
Oh my god? These people are insufferable. Get away from me, man,
we're gonna buy it. The camera, he getsed it.
Speaker 14 (35:21):
What what is this?
Speaker 2 (35:24):
He lift it? He licked the lens while our lens
was getting licked.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
I managed to get a few perspectives from the elderly
protesters who weren't irrationally hostile.
Speaker 5 (35:33):
Are your Democrats more directly democrats?
Speaker 1 (35:36):
I'm an independent thinker. There have been a lot of
ice raids out here. We're wonder ifull we ask you
guys thoughts on ice raids lately.
Speaker 5 (35:42):
I think you're horrendous.
Speaker 2 (35:44):
It's like the Gestapo. You're kidnapping people. They deserve due process.
Speaker 17 (35:49):
They could have should have been able to apply for
asylum if that's applicable.
Speaker 8 (35:54):
If it's not.
Speaker 17 (35:55):
I think that there there needs to be some compassion,
particulately for the children that have.
Speaker 2 (36:02):
Been broad here.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
Let's say someone agrees with you but says, hey, we
want them to go through the legal port of entry.
Speaker 2 (36:07):
What are your thoughts on that? I think that's a
legitimate thing to say.
Speaker 12 (36:11):
But Congress has not funded it in order to handle
the number of people that are are coming.
Speaker 2 (36:17):
And we know how good these people are and how
hard they work.
Speaker 8 (36:21):
Illegal entry is not a criminal.
Speaker 2 (36:23):
Act, sir? Why did you link the lens. Is it tasty?
Do you want to let my legs? He's looking the list.
Speaker 19 (36:38):
Get your careful off the back of his head.
Speaker 2 (36:41):
You walked in with your head into my camera.
Speaker 1 (36:52):
Ironically, for this group claiming to protest against fascism, they
were quick to obey whoever whispered in their ear not
to talk to us, and to violently suppress anyone who
they believe to have opposing beliefs or asked any questions.
Speaker 2 (37:08):
Who.
Speaker 1 (37:19):
However, to be fair, the sheer density of musical talent
here almost made me forget These unhinged retirees were probably
someone's grandparents.
Speaker 2 (37:28):
Whoever's grandpa? This is I am so sorry. Camera, Get
off the camera. I was talking camera. What are you
(37:50):
talking about? What are you talking about? You don't have
to answer. Stop listen man, it's the first Amendment. You
know about constitution? Right, you're here, you're you're a fascist. Man,
you're a killer. You don't even know me. Dogs going on, peaceful, peaceful.
Speaker 5 (38:08):
Don't give them what they want.
Speaker 2 (38:09):
I don't want anything. I want to have a conversation.
Don't spat the cameras. You creep. I'm a creep. You're creep.
Speaker 20 (38:16):
Bro.
Speaker 2 (38:17):
I want. I want the FBI to check your folders.
Speaker 8 (38:18):
You guys are completion on the genocide to the people.
Speaker 2 (38:21):
You don't even know me, Doug.
Speaker 1 (38:28):
Let's just move on like we don't want immediate hostility
from the geriatric class of advocates out here. I mean
immediately we walked up, just doing a little shot of
the signs, and that ball guy right there when agro
mode instant agro, sir, question for you, what are you
protesting today? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (38:45):
The main thing I'm trying to stand up for right
now is peace and harmon. Don't infantilize them. Let him speak, Okay, okay, okay,
I guess he's being authorized with us.
Speaker 1 (38:57):
This is anything but a peaceful protest when we show up, apparently,
and we have guys like Big Blue over here basically
coaching people to not speak to anyone, I guess, or
approve the media and.
Speaker 14 (39:07):
Anyone who is potentially not part of this agenda this
cause they completely cancel.
Speaker 2 (39:11):
You not hate Maks America.
Speaker 1 (39:14):
Of course, they don't live it out. The most hateful
people you can meet out here in Seattle, not only
the most hateful, the most violent, but not everyone here
was fresh off of perk. What is your primary concern.
Why'd you come out here, leg.
Speaker 12 (39:26):
I came out here today because this is for federal workers,
but they're just a subset. It's for all the workers.
But then for all the people who are citizens or immigrants,
no matter what their standards, that they.
Speaker 23 (39:40):
Have the right to do process as a native, especially
piss got away DC Native people don't really take into
account what the DC native is holding. At the end
of the day, they're the spiritual connection with the land
and like everything that happens in DC, we very much
or where what's happening?
Speaker 2 (40:00):
Okay, I have a conversation.
Speaker 1 (40:18):
They claim to be protecting the Constitution, but they're the
first ones to attack your First Amendment rights when it
doesn't suit them.
Speaker 2 (40:24):
It's unfortunate after.
Speaker 1 (40:25):
Seeing what ICE agents experience on a daily basis out
here in sanctuary states and liberal cities like Seattle, time
to go on a ride along with ICE and document
how the rest process really worked.
Speaker 14 (40:36):
Why are we having to do this interview covertly inside
a van today?
Speaker 4 (40:40):
Well, Seattle in the Seattle Area Operations Maria responsibility for
the region which includes Alaska, Washington State, Oregon, parts of Idaho.
It's very challenging environment to work in, so we get
a lot of like pushback from activists just local concerned
people that like to try to interfere with our arrest
and any of our activities. So you've to be standing
(41:00):
next to an ICE official right now, it's just almost
like guilt by association.
Speaker 5 (41:06):
But cities where you have that.
Speaker 4 (41:08):
Are non cooperative, that are commonly known as sanctuary cities
or even a sanctuary states. Really all we're asking as
a federal law enforcement agency is a take custody of
people that have other legal issues that they need to address,
either federally or have been convicted of criminal offenses at
the local level.
Speaker 5 (41:28):
So all we're trying to do is.
Speaker 4 (41:31):
Arrest or take hold of an individual in a private,
secure setting, as opposed to having to do it at
large out in the community where people's property, their lives,
overall safety are being put at risk. What I will say,
it's a constant pressure, like we want to do the
right thing.
Speaker 14 (41:48):
Tell me what these ride alongs are, basically like, what's
happening here in this region? How often are they happening?
Speaker 4 (41:54):
ICE agents and officers and our law enforcement partners where
we're out constantly, so we have to go where the
action is. Whether there's an illegal alien that should be
arrested that's been either ordered removed from the country by
an immigration judge, has criminality, or another immigration law enforcement
(42:16):
legal issue, We're going to be there the rest start
happening every every single day, every single day throughout the day.
But anywhere where you see these non cooperative like policies
where it's okay to not work with federal law enforcement,
then it becomes it becomes a really difficult environment.
Speaker 2 (42:34):
What right now is legally required to perform an arrest
on ICE's end.
Speaker 4 (42:39):
Probable cause meets that threshold most of the time that
seems to be a confusion with the public.
Speaker 5 (42:46):
Under the I n A, then officers are able to
stop someone and confirm their citizenship.
Speaker 1 (42:55):
Is there any probability of like misidentification or arresting a
legal citizen?
Speaker 2 (43:00):
Are there any cases of that.
Speaker 5 (43:01):
It's not a thing at all, not a thing. It's
not a thing at all. So you know, I don't
want to go into like law enforcement like tactics.
Speaker 4 (43:08):
Yeah, but once an arrest is completed, and these are
these are targeted arrests, So in every circumstance, every circumstance,
we know who we're looking for, all there is the
potential for collateral arrests. So like when you make an arrest,
if an alien is with another alien that is not
doesn't have a lawful basis for being in the US,
and that person can be arrested as well.
Speaker 2 (43:29):
Who on the list of illegal aliens is ICE targeting
right now? Top priority? Is there a target beyond just
illegally entering the country? Is what I'm asking.
Speaker 5 (43:37):
No, there's there's really not.
Speaker 4 (43:40):
But in saying that, naturally, if somebody is showing to
be a immediate public safety threat, immediate threat to.
Speaker 5 (43:52):
National security, then that's gonna be a priority.
Speaker 4 (43:57):
There really isn't. There really isn't a true like priority.
It will make the arrest as they need to be made.
Speaker 14 (44:03):
So even though Tom Holman has said priority is right
now at least going after the violent criminal illegal aliens,
the ones who've committed rapes, murders and all that, you
guys are still doing your jobs of going after people
here who have overstayed their visas and so on and
so forth. That's what you're saying, right.
Speaker 4 (44:20):
Just to clarify, So, if you're an alien, if you
don't have a lawful basis for being in the US,
there is a very high potential that ICE will arrest
you you and you'll be placed into pending.
Speaker 5 (44:35):
Removal proceedings.
Speaker 2 (44:36):
Say I just jumped the border, I've illegally entered the country.
How does ICE eventually identify me as an illegal alien
if I haven't been captured by any form of law enforcement.
Speaker 5 (44:46):
As a variety was Yeah, yeah, I can't go into
law enforcement tactic.
Speaker 4 (44:50):
Okay, so outside of the obvious because and this is
where sanctuary cities, not cooperative cities, their policy come into play. Right,
So if they arrest somebody for let's say, like duy,
like I've seen plenty at DUI convictions like this week,
sure for aliens from aliens this week. Then if an
(45:13):
alien encounters like local law enforcement for a law that
they potentially have broken, then we want to have that
further conversation.
Speaker 5 (45:20):
And we used to be able to do that, but
in cities like sat we can't.
Speaker 2 (45:24):
What do I need to do to get taken to
like El Salvador? How do you identify the country of
origin for some of these people if you're deporting them
to that country of origin? How does that process play out.
Speaker 4 (45:33):
Well, no, again, that kind of falls into more like
law enforcement tactics intel in some cases. But the simple
answer is, we've got one one detensive facility for our region.
Speaker 2 (45:47):
Are you guys working in tandem with law enforcement in
the country of origin to receive these people?
Speaker 5 (45:52):
How does that work? So it's not just us, we
do all the frontline like street stuff.
Speaker 4 (45:58):
Sure, right, and so now it goes to or at
that point it becomes an issue also for a Department
of State and really Department of Justice. So we're actually
we're actually making arrest all over the place. So yeah,
where we can identify a target, then we'll we'll make
that arrest. So no, I mean, these these these policies,
these these non propative policies are just not helpful.
Speaker 5 (46:21):
And really they just delayed the inevitable one.
Speaker 1 (46:23):
And now it was time to actually arrest and illegal
immigrants real quick.
Speaker 8 (46:27):
But I'd be like going down the road, you fucking.
Speaker 1 (46:31):

Speaker 2 (46:50):
And we're just picking this guy up before he goes
to work or what. It depends on the situation, but
more than likely.
Speaker 18 (46:56):
Yeah, first parking stall that's closest to the street in
front of apartment.
Speaker 5 (47:01):
If we can, if we can get that confirmation.
Speaker 2 (47:03):
On that they're identifying the guy when where he's at.
I don't think he's gonna make it to work today.
Speaker 1 (47:08):
There will take away from this any illegal watching is
don't enter the country illegally.
Speaker 2 (47:13):
Yeah, vehicle is not here.
Speaker 16 (47:15):
I don't know if you want us to shift over
to the second target and just leave one car behind
over here.
Speaker 2 (47:20):
It's always a risk.
Speaker 14 (47:21):
They have vests on body armor. You just never know
if these you know, targeted arrest can go sideways or
if they go smoothly. So again, just being out here
again continues to be a risk, not only for the
agents but also for the community.
Speaker 2 (47:33):
Yo, amen, yeah, vehicle's not here. What are you looking at?
Speaker 5 (47:37):
Who you got paid to the secondary yet?
Speaker 4 (47:39):
We're just going to a different location to see if
the arrest target might be there.
Speaker 2 (47:45):
Or is going to be there.
Speaker 4 (47:45):
This isn't uncommon, Like we're not giving up on this,
Like we don't give up like that quickly. There's just
an indication that the arrest target isn't here at the moment,
So we're just shifting resources to a different target.
Speaker 2 (47:57):
Where do you think he is?
Speaker 1 (47:58):
No idea, could you enter a suspect's workplace to arrest
the individual.
Speaker 4 (48:03):
Conceivably, but that's not something that happens like too often.
It just kind of depends. You want to be able
to control the environment as much as what possible, so
you want to move those variables. You don't you don't
want to put the public in any kind of threat.
Speaker 5 (48:16):
That's that's really the end goal here is to increase
like public safety.
Speaker 18 (48:19):
It's like chasing a ghost. If it's a US citizen,
they have history here, they have a social Security number,
they have family, they have just data or targets typically don't.
It just takes more resources, it takes more intel surveillance officers,
and it makes it that much harder in a sanctuary
(48:40):
state or a sanctuary city.
Speaker 2 (48:41):
Even that lack of data, How do you guys find
these people being creative? Okay, see the people that are
being targeted for rest.
Speaker 4 (48:48):
I mean, they're they're difficult to find by like nature,
they don't want to be found.
Speaker 5 (48:53):
So yeah, they're very much like ghosts because they don't
they don't have.
Speaker 4 (48:56):
Typical footprints that they don't leave the kind of trails
that a US citizen leave behind.
Speaker 14 (49:01):
I think one of the biggest concerns, aside from the
fact that Washington is a sanctuary state, is you have
one of the most ferocious, you know, base of far
left activists that they're constantly mobilizing, they're constantly recruiting, and
their job is to get in the way and disrupt
ice agents, which to tip these illegals off before they
can be apprehended. So imagine having to work in that
(49:21):
type of environment.
Speaker 4 (49:23):
The lack of cooperation is like at like kind of
you know if you'd say it's at a peak, because
it seems like there's no indication from like Washing or
Oregon that they're going to cooperate more.
Speaker 2 (49:34):
Give her take.
Speaker 18 (49:35):
Around twenty fourteen, they stop honoring detainers here and started
not honoring our detainers King County first, and then they
kind of expanded after then.
Speaker 5 (49:45):
It became a state sanctuary state.
Speaker 23 (49:47):
Along with Orgon.
Speaker 18 (49:48):
We used to have some jails. We used to have
a presence in the jill. We would put our detainers down,
release them to us. Limited resources needed to pick up
those bodies. Now you saw the resources it takes to
go after one. It's difficult, it takes.
Speaker 5 (50:04):
Time, extra resources.
Speaker 18 (50:06):
It has the opposite effect of what a sanctuary state
really is trying to do. They're trying to block us
out of their community. Now we're actually having to go
into the community more to get do these targeted enforcements,
target arrests on these criminal, criminal aliens. It's unfortunate, but
we're not going to stop working and doing our job
to protect to protect our community.
Speaker 10 (50:27):
One eight is correct.
Speaker 2 (50:30):
We are pursuing a suspect right now. I believe we
may have found it. One of the two guys drivers
sort of look like him, but his brother look at
them more of them. I don't know, maybe it's the brother.
Speaker 14 (50:41):
This is this is intense, you know, looks like we
may have found one of the suspects. And the agents
are about to move in and they just want to
verify communicating. They're going back and forth, so we'll see
where this leads.
Speaker 2 (50:55):
I think we're about to see an ice arrests right now?
Speaker 18 (50:57):
Did it look like that guy had to go to.
Speaker 2 (51:01):
Look like when you go back, it's a bad day
to have a goateee. This is tense.
Speaker 1 (51:07):
It's potentially a very risky interaction for the officers. Things
could escalate at any moment. All right, the arrest is
happening as we speak. The question is is this in
fact the guy or will it be his lucky day
typical traffic stop, no arrests. This guy right now is
probably having a lot going through his mind.
Speaker 14 (51:26):
Yeah, so it looks like he did pull over. So
we're just gonna sort of have to wait and see
how this all plays out. But we're just gonna wait
and follow the lead of the officers right now.
Speaker 2 (51:36):
Okay, they're confirming the idea of the suspect. Maybe it
is the guy, and if so, what happens next? If
it is, then well go'll be arrested.
Speaker 1 (51:45):
More agents are pulling up to the van here. Oh,
it's escalating. If you only have the guy here knocking
on the van, looks like things could get a little
shisty here. He's telling him to open the open the window,
open the door. He's not opening the vehicle. Looks like,
this is not what we want to see. This could
potentially pose a risky situation for someone. Okay, they broke
(52:13):
the glasses, all right, they broke the glass. They're in suspects, rass.
He did not open the window. It appears ice arrest
has gone down.
Speaker 2 (52:26):
I every day I go, I go at day.
Speaker 1 (52:32):
All right, the window of yours have been broken. Here
he would not open up. Agents are taking into custody.
Speaker 2 (52:38):
Are you Are you innocent? I'm here for a month time.
Speaker 7 (52:41):
I'm good, I'm looking good.
Speaker 1 (52:43):
I don't know what it's through.
Speaker 2 (52:44):
Why are you being taken right now? Do you have
an attorney?
Speaker 11 (52:48):
No?
Speaker 2 (52:48):
I know how I needed for my wife. Please? Did
you illegally enter the country?
Speaker 1 (52:53):
What country are you from? You're from Mexico? Did you
come here legally? When did you come to this country? Sir?
Speaker 5 (52:59):
I what is your name?
Speaker 1 (53:01):
Sir?
Speaker 2 (53:02):
Miguel Gonzalez.
Speaker 1 (53:05):
Glass beneath my feet right now, window completely broken.
Speaker 14 (53:08):
Frankly, I think actually what happened today was the best
case scenario. Nobody got hurt, they got the suspects, and
now we're moving on. Okay, and I want to make
sure I get your side of the story. Are you
in this country legally, guys. No, no, no, we're not
with ICE. I'm an independent journalist. I'm with Turning Point
USA is front lines team. I'm just trying to understand
(53:29):
your story, where you've been living and what's happening right now.
Speaker 2 (53:32):
I'm here for twenty six years. I very worked good man.
I held bunch of white people grow I held tours.
I now, do you only have a wife. Do you
have children? How old are they? I don't know, twenty three?
Speaker 8 (53:50):
Any sis?
Speaker 2 (53:52):
What do you do for a living? You live in Monroe,
But what do you do for work work?
Speaker 14 (53:58):
Are you carpenter or what do you do? General contract?
Now I says you're here illegally. Is that true that
you don't have the right papers to stay here?
Speaker 2 (54:12):
That's true.
Speaker 14 (54:13):
But you're saying right now, you're not a bad guys.
Speaker 2 (54:18):
All this think you.
Speaker 4 (54:19):
He's being transported to our intake where he'll be in process,
and then from there will be sent to the n
w I p C. And then whatever happens with his
case will be what it is. He has at least
to arrest by local law enforcement.
Speaker 18 (54:35):
So there's a lot of people out there doing the
job to serve their country and different capacities.
Speaker 5 (54:43):
That is dangerous, so we're no different.
Speaker 1 (54:46):
Special shout out to Jonathan Schoe for giving me access
