(00:00):
M hm. Hey, I'm Wesand welcome back to unsuppressed uh here with
the usual suspects, and we havetwo guests with Avery iveryone. Go ahead,
introduce your two guests, Alisha Kerrand I'm Alisha Harraves. So really
(00:22):
you're both the same, are there? We made a Avery sandwich, Yes,
Avery Oreo. I like cookies. It's like a reverse Oreo. U
Sama wearing white T shirts and thenhe's wearing a tan T shirts like those
like Vanilla Oreos or something. Oreoinside out inverted oo. Okay, So,
(00:44):
Alisha Kerr, I do a littlebit of TikTok and some social media.
My biggest thing is I love topromote my pettiness, and so I
go as the name Petty Buddy.Yeah. So I'm Alicia Hargraves. Uh
Sonny, we all share the samename. I am affiliated with Getting a
(01:07):
Fight branding, and so Alicia hereis helping me with some brand ambassador stuff.
I do a little bit of theTikTok and mine's Leah s RT for
because I like cars. Do youhave an s RT for? I do
have an s RT for? Okay, just check it all right? So
okay, So it's getting the fightdot So how do you get to the
(01:29):
your label? So get in thefight? Right? Is it like a
get in the fight dot com?Is that? What? How you'd solicit
getting the fight dot com? Thebest way though to find us is on
Instagram? Okay, And it's justgetting a fight? Is it like world
star or is it like not justplanned? So I'm no, I dated
myself all right? So, uhso the question we have today that I
(01:52):
brought up because it just came tome. Because you guys are influencers in
the tactical space. There are alot of people that talk shit and they
will there will be people who arecompetition shooters talking trash on people who are
on the tactical market, providing skillsets and stuff from their moss or their
war experience. From what you're doing. Are you running? Because I know
(02:13):
the Petty Betty. I follow PettyBetty so everybody, so you should follow
her on Instagram. She's cool andshe does stuff with guns. Have you
had anybody come at you like aspider monkey because of what you're doing?
Because it's both for both of you, and how are you dealing with that?
Because I know that there is somechauvinism kind of things that go on
in the mail spit with the gunningcommunity. It's kind of a little bit,
(02:35):
you know, it's definitely an alphadeal. So just what's your do
You guys have the floor and youtell us how you deal with it.
Well, I do a majority ofmy stuff on TikTok Instagram. It's just
the algorithm doesn't work well for me. But for TikTok, the pushing the
gun industry, the two A community, people love it, and I think
it's just because my algorithm hits right. But there are some like rare occasions
(03:00):
where I do receive the negative comments, and most of it is it's just
man's planning. To be honest withyou, it's just you know, and
I think they're doing it just toI don't know if it's like a request
for a date or I could showyou how to handle that. Where do
you live, Let's meet up.I'm this instructor. I've done it this
way before, I've shot in thiscompetition, and so I don't think it's
(03:23):
as like the man's plainning that allthe girls like talk about, Oh it's
just a guy tell me how todo things. It's literally their pickup line,
and so at that point it's likeI have respect if you're just trying
to talk game and you want totry to go on a date, and
if that's your only pickup line, then so be it. But like the
negative comments, I really don't evensee them until my like the community season,
(03:46):
my followers, and so like Ireally don't have to fight those night
of comments because my followers do itfor me. And if I do see
it, like it is actually fun. And so I never delete the comment
because it makes for good contents,Like I just let us sit there and
people just boost the video just bymarketing market yeah, like commenting on it.
And also if I do, ifI delete the comment, then what
(04:11):
happens is it doesn't make awareness becausewhen you do see a discussion, especially
someone has like stupid question or ifthey say something dumb that I'm doing in
their perception when it's actually like shootingon a range having all the guidelines and
maybe it's maybe someone says I'm unsafe, but and theory, I'm actually reacting
(04:31):
well within my training right, andso it builds a conversation and people like
can see it outsiders and be like, oh, I see all these people's
point of view defending the tactics thatshe's doing, and then it develops the
conversation. It actually brings awareness tothe community. Have you so you've had
the comp shooter saying that you're doingsomething that's sketchy more, Oh yeah,
(04:51):
I've read some of the stuff withan instructor and yeah, I've done this,
this and this, and I thinksaid, congratulations, where'd you get
your instructors from the n RA.I'm just curious. I'm just sure.
So so this is this does followthat track? Leah, have you had
the same thing happen? Uh?Yeah, a little less though, because
(05:13):
like I'm not as big into thesocial media world yet, Like I've had
some I guess traffic in that sense. Right for me though, like where
people attack me is being a womanin a man's world, right in every
field. Yeah, whether it's military, mechanics, you know, you name
(05:35):
it, in the man's planning asa a real thing. But for me,
I think it's more of just beinga pretty girl, right, like,
oh, you're just you're just apretty girl, you're a pretty face.
Well that's how you got promoted.Well, yeah, totally, how
I earned my strip. Nobody likenone, right, she does. And
(05:56):
so you know, people often saya lot of the same things, right,
like oh, well, you're notqualified for this, or you're doing
this wrong, and like I don'tusually say much about it until somebody like
truly triggers me, right, andthen I'll have a whole spiel. But
for the most part, like Ijust let it go too, because somebody
else is going to fight that fight, Like this is the one time that
I'm like, awesome, thanks forthe keyboard warriors, because the more comments
(06:17):
that come is the more you knowvisibility, right, So a positive thing
then not always right, positive inthe sense of bringing out awareness or upping
the views and allowing more visibility. But like the downside of that is is
the mental health side, right, because as strong and independent and amazing as
(06:43):
we can be, sometimes those commentsto hurt, right, But I mean
for the most part, it's aslong as it's bringing in more views.
I mean, by all means saywhat you got to say, because at
the end of the day, howeveryou were trained or however you view the
world is not the same as howI view it. And hey, if
you stick around, you might justlearn something. Okay, So there's that
part of it where you said aboutthe middle training and the emotional fortitude that
(07:06):
I think a lot of people areoverlooking that. A lot of people,
like I know that there's huge studiesbased on people that get clicks. Clicks.
It's like getting a high, right, it's getting they get it a
high the dopamine. Yeah, thedopamine trip. Right. And so if
you have the ability to understand thatyou're going to see the spectrum of positive
and negative, that's going to bea huge part. It's going to be
(07:27):
easier for you to get used tothe negative because you're putting yourself out there.
And then I know that I Imean, if I put anything out
on Instagram, like we'll go tothe range, we'll shoot, and this
dude invariably yeah, he's like inmy experience, and I'm like, oh
kay me right now, No,completely different dude on Instagram. I took
(07:50):
a bunch of video of us atthe range, and I said the Bill
and Bill posted as Instagram and thenhe was just going like, you know,
the way that you did the drill, and he was like analyzing it
and like giving build points and stufflike that. And Bill was upset about
it. At first I read it, I'm like, uh yeah, but
it's gone on and on, soit's an ongoing thing. This gives me
warranted advice, build an unsolicited butthe best portion he did. He man
(08:16):
explained that I said, well,if you understood, I said, well,
as if you were present and youactually understood the left and right limits
of what we were doing, itwould make a lot more sense. But
you know, you should come outand see if you can shoot the same
standards that I shoot, and thensee if you can manage that. I
mean, And that's the way Iwould deal with most of that. When
I've dealt with negative or not evennegative, it's more like, well,
(08:37):
you know, because I show screwups too, I don't care. I
have zero ego. I was like, oh, I dropped the bag.
I'm now retarded, so I'm dead. I'm a dead guy now, So
you know that kind of thing.I make jokes, But when I think
that, I think in our currentmarket or in our current society, I
think it's easier to be negative.I think a lot of people are instantly
negative. They want to pick apartanything that people are doing because they are
(08:58):
static. Most of the people thattalk the most shit generally tend to have
the least amount of information on theInternet, those are the ones that are
the most toxic. And then youso, I mean, is that your
experience too, as you've seen thesame thing. So one of the things
I want to point out that wehaven't touched on is the algorithm and fake
and bots negative putting negative comments inthere. I keep a pretty close sigh
(09:20):
on the attack you stuff, andI know there's a lot of bots in
there, so that's something to considertoo. Is a lot of times there's
fake shit just to get you going, and there's also paid people that have
think accounts just to generate bad content, especially they'll attack the two A community
and other things like that. AndI've actually met one while having like going
(09:41):
back and comedying and it was likenegative comment and I would meet him with
like a funny comment and it wasa negative comment and I just won't let
it. And finally he messaged melike privately on TikTok and this was crazy
and it had this like crazy longusername and he exposed himself, said he's
never done this before, just abot. He does this, he gets
(10:01):
paid to do this, and hewasn't American he was like from a different
country I can't remember, and hewas like, you're actually really cool.
I mean, because I just kepton. I didn't meet his negative energy.
It was just like really fruitful andlike fun conversation and it like he
didn't even know how to react. But they exist. Well, Okay.
So that's interesting is you can seeon Facebook a lot of the time when
(10:24):
you're talking about the two A spaceand you'll have conversations and all of a
sudden, bots start talking to themselves. Yeah, and you'll see him talking
shit and they'll be the same lineevery once in a while, and I'm
like, oh, well that's abot. That's a And then you can
see a user you know, uh, androgynous male three four eight nine ten.
You're like, okay, there yougo. So and that would be
the blue side. Then you havethe alpha male three four nine ten name.
(10:48):
And then yeah, I've had acouple of people in the past that
I kind of got five they areprobably bots. I got some kid,
and I just look at the profiles. If you're following seven thousand people,
you're probably a bot. Yeah. The hairline was bad, and I'm like,
it's a normal hairline. It's hairlines, right, So anyway, no,
no, he wasn't lying. He'sjust being hurtful. It's always doing
(11:11):
so now because it also goes becauseI think everybody here works out in general.
I think everybody goes to the gym, right mostly, so there is
the what everybody's like smiling. Itis like, I know, you guys,
everybody here works out, right,he took two years off. He's
working out now. You know,Okay, she took today off. I
didn't take the day off. Todaywas chest. I didn't taken off.
(11:37):
I took tonight because it was easter. So you guys were doing a photo
shoot. I was kidding, right, So anyway, no foto shoot.
So now the next portion is islike the idea of an influencer because it
does go to the other portion oflike the gym people like who are doing
stuff at the gym. They're takingselfies and all that bullshit. What do
you guys think about that? Andthe whole scheme of things the way it's
(11:58):
being used because they're people, theywere doing inflamment, inflammatory response. If
let's say, if someone walks infront of grabs weight that type of deal,
have you guys run because do youdo you do any of that style
style? No, I definitely don't. No, no booty shorts and you
payants to shit you don't do that? Yeah okay, well yeah Jim,
you done that. She doesn't photo. I get those. I actually don't.
(12:22):
I don't have a problem with influencersin the gym. I mean,
the thing is is like you goto a public gym and you expect that.
It's like when you got to arestaurant, a public dining and you
can't get out of the baby that'sscreaming, like you chose to go out
into Like that's totally not true. You could be pissed. Well, there's
a couple of things that are goingon. So, first of all,
you have influencers who are not amazingpeople, right, They're not super developed
(12:46):
people who are trying to generate content, trying to get the spiciest content they
can do, so they're fishing forsome sort of thing that they can turn
into a bite. And then youhave people who get upset allegedly. I
haven't seen one yet where I thinkit's real. Then you get people who
are upset when you walk in frontof their cameras well, I mean they're
working for money and so you're messingwith their time the energy. But like
(13:07):
going back to what I was saying, like, you know, you can't
be upset when there's like a babyscreaming, but when like the mom just
lets it scream and scream, it'slike just like the influencer if you're filming
like whatever, But if you weredoing it so much where like no one
can actually use them and you're likeinterfering with my dinner, interfering with my
(13:28):
working out, then I'm gonna befucking pissed. So that absolutely, I
think. But like on the otherside of that, right, like if
you go to a school or ifyou go to like a certain business or
something and there are videos or photosand a possibility of your face like not
the influencer, but somebody else's face, like being online, then there should
(13:50):
be you know, we have tosign waivers and shit. Whereas like a
lot of these influencers go in thereand they're just filming and there's like people
off in the background, and thosepeople may or may not have an overtunity
to say, hey, like lookman, like don't put my face like
on the internet. So I thinkthat's the only thing that really truly.
Bothers me about having influencers in thegym is like, if you're going to
do that, then you should atleast give the people opportunity to say,
(14:13):
hey, like i'm filming, thisis going to this place, and give
you know, or have some atleast some capability or a capacity to redact
their faces. Yeah. Right,That's why I like to follow Joey Swolm.
Sure if you guys are familiar.I like him too. He's mister
positive. You can still do abackflip of like two forty. That's just
freakish. Just say hey bullies, the bullies, Yeah, I say,
(14:35):
but I've met everybody. There's somany people juicing. I got asked if
I was taking the needle last monthbecause I changed. I did a cutting
phase and I cut like fifteen poundsreal quick. And he was like what
the fuck. And I'm like, yeah, no, I'm just not eating.
I gave up on food. Ionly eat protein. And he was
like that doesn't seem very healthy.I'm like, well it's not. But
(14:58):
it's not sustainable. But we're doingit, you know, so and yeah,
it's the thing. So I mean, and it's just there are so
many people that have back acne orare doing hgh. It's a thing and
you see, you see all thetime. So now now that we can
shift gears, now what is getin the fight? We might as well
promote the funk out of that too, just because you know we're in the
(15:20):
game. So the giant wand rightto you. I saw it like shift
to you. So it totally isa veteran owned company. I was at
slc U last year, yes, senior Laters course, and I just happen
(15:41):
to get stuck. I don't wantto say stuck, but I chose to
sit next to this fella and Rabaichardi, who is an amazing dude, and
we just kind of just became bestfriends. And then he and I both
went through an emotional thing last yearand his statement was always get in a
fight, like my heart shattered afteryou know, death and all these other
(16:06):
things. And he's like, comeon, man, like you just got
to get in a fight. AndI was just like, man, I
don't even know what the fuck thatmeans. Dude, Like okay, okay,
I get it, Like what doyou what do you mean get in
the fight. And he's like, dude, you just got to Get in
the Fight. And I was likeall right, cool, like whatever that
is, move on about our day. And then it was probably six months
ago, not even six months ago, maybe three four months ago actually he
(16:29):
called me and he's like, hey, dude, I got this like business
plan. He's like, I wantto create the Get in the Fight merchandise.
And I was just like okay, cool, rock on. So I
had just started tattooing at the time, and he had sent me, you
know, He's like, hey,can you help me with this? And
you know what does it look like? And so I designed the logo for
the company. I am not apartner in anyway, but Lachardi and his
(16:53):
other buddy, who are both rangersin the army, and then they've got
like another friend who's like special forces, just created this clothing brand. And
all it really is is just aboutbeing supportive, whether it's supporting each other
in the gym or being somebody's emotionalsupport human, just support in general,
(17:15):
military not military. It just happenedto be that we are all military and
all badasses in our fields. Soare you still in or did you retire?
I am fifteen years Oh, soyou only have five more to go
before or are you going to gofurther? I got a long time to
go stay. She was endre fora long time, so you got like
(17:37):
eight Oh I won't retire until twentythirty seven. Oh god? All right?
So okay, so now what youare? Are you? Are you
officer? Are you enlisted? I'menlisted. I am age class. Oh
I'll look at youriday. Yeah,so that's two rockers, right, m
okay, I just want she's mymind there for a second. All right?
(18:00):
So uh now are you in?Are you m day still? Are
you now full time? No?I'm a full timer as a recruiter.
Oh okay, so what's that like? I'm just curious. Let me tell
you that it is the hardest easyjob I have ever had. Talking to
people is great. Convincing them,I don't want to say convincing them,
(18:22):
but like showing them the way isvery difficult, especially like part of me
that wants to turn the camera offand actually talk about actually what it's like
and then giuds, you know, because you have to give like that thirty
thousand foot view. This is thisis one question? Are you a psyop?
You know? What's funny is I'vebeen accused in the last six months.
(18:45):
I don't want to say accused, but accuses like the only word I
know of being c I D orsyop. Yeah, I don't know what
it is. It's like you've beenadvertising more trying to get people to join
their division and try try like Enticegen Zo commercial last commercial was just kiss.
(19:07):
Yeah, that was that was likewhoa. And so there's other influencers
out there like that Lujian girl saveher name, and people are just convinced
that her whole existence is just toget young men to set up into the
military. Yeah, I mean itis. I mean yeah, and it
kind of is, like I amless a lot of I think she's a
(19:29):
mechanic for influencing, uh kind ofkind of sort of so like we have
marketing and CEOs, I do dothat and like Butter's Worth, Butter Butterworth
if you've ever seen him. Hewas recently in Orgon. He's a big
military recruiter like influencer. So wasPenalty right, No, I think it's
(19:52):
Virginia. Yeah, he's other coastI think. But he just got hired
on as a Mark Makeing Nco influencerat NGB. Yeah, So like if
you are in the military and youhave enough following base, like that could
be your job is just influencing andmarketing for the military. It's so essentially
(20:14):
like Mike Jones could literally have kepton for the Air Force and did that.
That's interesting. Definitely I should havebeen sis. I don't think his
political views line up with the AirForce anymore. To tie this back to
get a fight, Solchardi is alsoa recruiter. And what they don't tell
(20:41):
you about being a recruiter and likeit really is the hardest easy job I've
ever had. But this job inparticular has a really high turnover rate and
it is mentally exhausting, it awful. So you know, him being on
one because he's from Boston and I'mover here in orient so like from one
coast to the other, you know, like just doing the daily check ins,
(21:04):
like yo, Manny, you goodbecause then you know, being a
recruiter and having a mission on yourback is so graining. So you know,
for us, it's like just getin the fight, like stay with
it, get in the fight, keep going okay, cool, one boot
in front of the other, justkeep going so okay with with the company.
So how many with their clothing line. Is there already? Is it
(21:25):
expansive, is it tactical or isit or is it like the begrunty stuff
where you're with lifestyle lifestyle. Yeah, it's going to be more lifestyle.
We do have a tan tee thatis for work and then these ones in
particular, like Litari just complain withTom too. So like these ones in
particular are like our piece shirt rightlike this is where we're at. And
(21:45):
then we have a black one too, and the black one is like like
ready for war, that's for seals. I'm just kid, Yeah, we're
ready for war kind of thought. So, but we're expanding, or I
want to say we I'm just helpingthese things. You're an ambassador, you
can have that. I am like, you're a product ambassador, you a
brand ambassador there, you're involved withthe Ranger panties are coming hopefully soon like
(22:11):
silky okay, yes, and thenyou know like leggings and sports tops and
they're working on hoodies right now,so it's going to get there. We're
going to have all well, nothinglooks better than Ranger panties with with leg
warmers. That's a hot look. That always brings the boys of the yard
for you, still a good rangerpanties panties or or you know, or
(22:34):
improvised walking sticks and getting in trouble. You know, that's the thing.
So so, so is there anythingyou guys else would like to add before
we kind of go back more intothe violence space of why people are doing
each other? Mean, what doyou guys people? Yeah, people,
Oh that's hurtful but true. SoI mean true, yeah, that's true.
(22:56):
No, But now back to theother side of the influencers stuff.
So in your because you guys goto shot show every year, right,
I'm assuming you guys are going tocontinue that tradition. Is that going to
be a thing? Hopefully next yearwe'll go. I'm sure it'll be my
fourth year, fifth year. Hasit changed a lot in the last few
years in your estimation, I've onlybeen once, So, I mean it's
(23:19):
kind of hard to say, becauseI don't know what it was like free
COVID. You know, everything shifted, you know, before and after COVID.
But I think it's getting busier sinceCOVID. But last this year we
noticed a lot more empty boosts andjust because of the economy, I mean,
there was that shift, wouldn't you. Yeah, well that provides a
(23:41):
lot of influencers running around either thisyear than there was last year. Yeah,
there's I think there's probably some changeinside the inside the policies of Shot
Show. I don't know this fora fact, but I believe it to
be true that they cut back onthe media access, so there are less
influencers and less and also so maybethe economy is bad, so less influencers
(24:02):
were able to go. There's alsosome competing. Yeah, Avian matched up
this year pretty good. But there'salso competing shows that were going on where
they're actually shooting, so there Idon't remember what they were, but there
was I think maybe Remington or somebodysomebody was doing an event like the following
week or something and they're actually shooting. So I know that. You know,
(24:23):
when the money's tight, people haveto choose what they're going to go
to, and walking the floor atShot Show and seeing the same product for
the fifth year in a row isnot going to be as good as getting
out on the flat and shooting withsuppressors and stuff like that. So I
think a lot of the influencers aredoing that more than walking the floor at
shot. Well, speaking from somebodywho shoots with the suppressor all the time,
you kind of it's not that special. After a while, it's not
(24:45):
a big deal, so right, big case, But you do get to
have people tell you that you're doingit wrong. That's the best part.
You're doing it wrong. But I'mhitting exactly where I want to hit and
I'm shooting a zones. What's wrong? You're doing it wrong. Perfect.
But if you're an influencer, there'sreally no reason to go to show.
Just go to the after parties.Like why go inside? You reason,
Yeah, we've made more connections,Yeah, the do deals happened to the
(25:07):
parties, yeah, than anything. And you find all the invites anyways through
social media, So there's like noreason to go inside a shot show.
But you can get all the swag, sleep during the day and then walk
there and then go to the partiesat night. That's the way to do
it. Well, then, Wes, thank you guys very much for coming
on. We appreciate it because itis something that's a unique perspective because we
(25:30):
don't because we're not influencers in anyway, shape or form. We're just
people who get on the internet andtalk shit. We don't care. So
you know, we have our littlefollowing of people that love us. So
that's good enough, I suppose. But we are considering actually opening into a
whole format of being on YouTube andthat type of direction, and I think
that's going to open us up toa lot more ridicule. So you've now
helped me emotionally be prepared for that, as long as you know that it's
(25:53):
coming, right, Like there's alwaysthe shadows side of any good thing,
as long as you know that it'sI mean, you're prepared for that,
and like you know your schedule right, and comment is better than no comments.
So oh yeah, dead air sucks. It's like, yeah, is
this thing on? Yeah, it'sone of those things. Yeah, A
fewer things are are more frustrating thanputting out you know, all the work
(26:17):
you go and put into it andputting up an episode of or our show
and then you check the comments there'snothing there. It's yeah. Now,
I would like to say before wego on, before we quit, I
did have a sidebar conversation with oneof our listeners, and he did say
that the gear conversations that we haveare very expensive for him because he goes
and invests and shit, immediately you'llgo buy it and he'll look at what
(26:37):
you've got and what we're talking about. So apparently we do have a little
bit of a book. But whateverybody needs is a gold ak. So
well, you know, I alwaystell people you should get on it.
God damn it. Okay, that'slike a ten dollars investor right there.
Just go down to home depot andget yourself some shiny gold spray paint.
So yeah, with that in mind, right now, getting a suppressor or
(27:02):
a or getting anpre done is abouta month or less. So if you're
going to buy a can, now'sthe time. It took me thirty to
get mine. No, no,no, and it's not the couple of
