Speaker 2 (00:24):
Let's sorry, welcome to another episode.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
Glad to be here. This justin is what did he say?
Speaker 3 (00:32):
This just out for the for the just out for
the type being.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Yeah, he's off busy doing who knows what. He'll pop
up at some point. He's probably off fighting tigers or
a gorilla or something.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
Gorilla.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
He told me he was training. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
He said he has to undergo some serious training, something
about up in the mountains of Tibet or something like that, finding.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
Raja ahl Ghoul or someone. I don't know. He's up
to something. We'll see what he's looking for.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
That little flower.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
Yeah, he's got to go to the trials. Man, he's
the next prodigy. Well yeah, I was born to the doctor.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
Ye out justice.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
He's gonna pull up on the episode shaved head with
the Bain mask and be like, hey, Buden, what happened
in a week?
Speaker 3 (01:08):
Bro?
Speaker 2 (01:09):
You get like now I'm fine, I'm fine. Fuck Jack, Yeah,
Jesus Christ, like chake Aver, the justin, what happened you know,
sometimes the homies just go through something. Yeah, I mean
it's just changed, and you just gotta accept it. You
gotta roll with the punches. You gotta be there for him,
you know what I mean, whether they decide to take
(01:29):
over Gotham or whatever it might be. But yeah, we're
gonna freget another episode of talking about Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
We're gonna go over the recap of UFC three fifteen.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
But to keep you guys really informed as we love to,
you know, give the fans everything we can.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
This episode is filmed on today is Tuesday, May thirteenth.
On our way into the studio, we got some pretty
crazy news from Dana White, which we were waiting on
Big Dan.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
I'm not gonna lie like.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
I was like, oh, Justin can't make the pod. Maybe
we'll try to reschedule or whatever. And then I saw
a tweet this morning where it was telling me that
I was like, Oh, Dana White going live later, and
I was like, yeah, we're doing, We're doing.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
The podcast always goes live when we're about of record.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
I think Tuesdays now I've become like a pretty pretty
important day, I find. I think it seems like that's
when they update the rankings and whatnot, and Dana seems
to be going on live on Instagram or Twitter or
whatever to like post and say like, hey, this is
what happened and here's what's coming up.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
We'll get into that.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
I feel like, I, oh, three point fifteen justice to
go over the recap first and then we'll get into
all of Dana White's fun news is as much as
I want to just be like, yeah about that. Tell
me you didn't think at first, like I think we
spoke about it. We're like, on paper, we were like, okay,
fifteen cool, yea, I'll pull up, we'll see what.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Yeah, it's's fighty something to do on a Saturday.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Who's the main card? Or Justin will say what's his name?
You know, give a joke because he's not here. But yeah,
on paper, I'm not gonna lie. This wasn't the best card. No,
I don't think that anybody was like super excited. I
definitely had like a couple of fights in there that
I was like very much looking forward to, like posted
on the Instagram Valentinadership, Chainko and everything, very excited to
see some of those ballall. As much as people hate
on him, guys, you have to admit he's that dude.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
I started. It's funny because like I need to just
start being like neutral for all fights, because every time
I start to like just I even slightly became a
fan for I was kind of like because I fucked
with Leon Edwards. Yeah, so I was hating on belall
for a while, and leading up to this fight, I
finally caved in like a week before the fight. You
(03:35):
know what, I fox Yeah, I watched all the count
out UFC and embedded and all that, and I was like,
you know what, he ain't that bad. I foxed with him.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
I've been a fan of his since I feel, I
want to say, like the Leon fight when he got
like poked in the eye, I was like, I didn't
really know who he was back then, so I was like,
let me look into this guy. And then I started
watching his fights because I like, at that point I
knew the name. So then I was like, all right,
I was like, let me let me watch this see
and I feel like he's been on a good run.
He got the title, and I was very excited, and
(04:07):
he had a good performance on Saturday, but unfortunately he
didn't do enough to retain the title. It's been an
interesting weekend. A lot of hate, a lot of hate
for Belall, a lot of love though coming out of it.
But the biggest thing has been, like, how you would
score I guess that fight.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
I'm hearing a lot of mixed things.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
Man, I'm hearing a lot of people say like four
rounds to one, But I'm not gonna lie. The loudest
thing I've been hearing is a lot of five rounds
to zero. People think that JDM just took the whole thing.
Speaker 3 (04:40):
Honestly, from what I saw, he looked, he looked like
he pieced him the fuck up.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
He did like I'll give you I feel like, in
my in my opinion watching it back, i'd say four
rounds to one.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
I think the fourth, fourth round specifically.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
I think you have to give it to ba Wall,
But I would say the rest of them, JDM was just.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
He he he made it his fight.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
So, like I heard Luke Thomas from Morning Combat give
this this comment here where he was saying that, like
a lot of people have been saying this, and even
on the commentators they were saying, and it's true that like
why isn't the law shooting more?
Speaker 1 (05:18):
Why isn't he going for more takedowns. Why is he
doing this?
Speaker 2 (05:20):
And the third it's like, well you have to understand
JDM is not letting him, Like that's the big, big
part takedown defense.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
About that fun he did.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
And then also like every time they would get into
any sort of like let's say, it was like a
like he's stuff to take down and they're working their
way back up to getting the clinch and they go
to go break.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
You know, he's laying clean shots and you see the
photo of Blaw's lip.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
Yeah, that was bad.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
That was bad. I was wondering, just like someone just
like that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
Like, I was wondering why he didn't have like a
normally like like even if the champ loses, I'll let
them have a couple of minutes on the mic or
something like that, like what's next for you or whatever,
But he was immediately out of the octagon, and I
was wondering why. Then they posted the photo and one
part of his lip was this way and the other
one was that way, and I.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
Was like, that makes that makes complete sense.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
Yeah, he's just going to see a hole in his face.
Yeah he's gonna be yeah, literal hole in his face.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Dude, it was bad.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
It was bad.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
There was a lot of act you know, I'm not
gonna lie that whole card. There was a lot of violence. Yeah,
it was a very lot of violence. Earlier on in
the night, I wrote it down.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
What was it? Mark and Dre Barrio almost killed Bruno Silva.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
Bro, that was nuts.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
I don't think Bruno Silva's okay.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
And we heard it, by the way, Yeah, yeah, has
anybody heard from Bruno Silva?
Speaker 1 (06:29):
Is he okay? Updated?
Speaker 3 (06:31):
Nobody on this man, Bro. He literally got his skull cracked.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
For those of you who don't know, in the first
round of their fight, Mark Andre Barrio basically he dominated
the fight. Yeah, got him up against the fence and
just pieced him up. As he's coming down, landed crazy
elbows straight to the dome.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
And there's a slow motion video that you watch it.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
You see that when he lands the elbow at one
part of his skull, you can almost see it. Dent
goal And I immediately texted you and it was like, you, guys,
I think he broke his skull. I don't know if
you saw that, but I think he broke his He.
Speaker 3 (07:08):
Never he never even like even moved after. You know,
when people kind of like, no, he was literally out cold.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
For that's that's another bile.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Even though sometimes people get kao or you at least
seet them, like go sit on a stool or something
like that. But when you see this guy is just
unresponsive in the pull the stretcher out for this man,
that's pretty bad.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
Next fucking braced it everything like shut. That's how you
know it's some gladiator as ship.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
Like what was her name?
Speaker 2 (07:33):
Sheman the doctor that had kicked out, Yeah, she mean yeah,
you gave it, gave him the the she maing treatment
out in the stretcher, put him in a body bag.
But seriously, somebody checking on Bruno Silva and get back
to somebody in the comments let us know, because I'm
concerned for his sake.
Speaker 3 (07:48):
I honestly thought, I was like, yo, is this the
first like death I'm going to see you?
Speaker 1 (07:52):
Yeah? I know, every now and then you get a
crazy knight, You're like, this's.
Speaker 3 (07:55):
The first one I see with my eyes like alive
on TV.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
Do you think like when you're in the like stadium
when it happens that they just like shut the lights
off to like carry themut Because like, you shouldn't see this.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
You shouldn't you shouldn't watch this.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
That'd be fucking nuts. Sound what happened when like I
don't want to get into.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
It, No, dude, it's it's really let's get into it. Yeah,
it's really it's like heart or like, uh, maybe we
should have got it.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
Like what did they do with this? They for sure
shut the lights off.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
I think at first they had the lights on and
everything like that, but once they realized that something was
like really crazy, they were like they gave a signal,
shut the lights off.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
They put them on like a stretcher. Get him out
of there. Yeah, there's no way.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
They just like all these thousands of people be witnessed
us carrying out a body.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
That's crazy.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
I thought it was going to be something like like
a moment of silence and the octagon kind of thing.
Speaker 3 (08:48):
I was definitely it was like cause he really I
think it was like a good like ten minutes and
then they panned over again and he was still in
the same like knocked out position. Yeah when he started.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
And it's also it's also really dark when you have
them like how do I put this?
Speaker 1 (09:04):
You have them almost dead?
Speaker 2 (09:08):
I want to see the corner because they're unconscious and
everything like that. But there's a difference between like they
got clipped and they got knocked out and they're like, oh,
you got to wake them up a little bit, or
like when they get choked out, they got to like
pick up the legs, get the blood flow back to
the head. I totally get that kind of stuff. But
when you have somebody who like you're like, I'm actually
genuinely concerned for his well being, or or like a
like a justin Gaetchee like Ko when he fell and
(09:29):
you're like that looked like a corpse drop, like there
was just no lights, are fully off, lifeless, and they're
lifeless in the corner and they're just like I just
want to give a shout out to my family.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
And they're given all the love in the world. And
the interview was so happy to see him, and you
just see like the you see like the foot in
the back, show them on the camera. You see the
foot in the back over here.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
That's when it's messed up. You're just like, guys, can
we check out on him? This is the first time I.
Speaker 3 (09:53):
Wanted to see him in the background while he was.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
Talking, like you're like, this is the first time I
want to skip the interview, and please just point the
camera at the body.
Speaker 3 (10:01):
Like, forget what you're saying right now, just go right
to the.
Speaker 2 (10:03):
I need to know what happened, please and thank you.
But yeah, someone reached out to Bruno Slova and his
team and let me know, put me in contact.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
We'll get him on the pod to submission.
Speaker 3 (10:09):
He's good these elbows, and it's funny because like they
changed the rules, I haven't seen yet like too many
like illegal crazy elbows.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
No, they really, they haven't seen like illegal ones.
Speaker 2 (10:22):
But I will say like in the last few weeks,
I've seen a lot more elbow use. Yeah, right, so
like Patty On on Mike Chandler like that was crazy,
Like Michel Chandlers just straight up was just getting just
like I've been seeing.
Speaker 3 (10:37):
A lot more, yeah, elbow, legal elbow use since they
changed the rules.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
Yeah, there's been a lot of crazier moves. Like another
one and we'll get into it in the second.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
But like Jose Aldo threw a soccer kick at uh
that was his name.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
Amon's a hobby.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
He's straight up just I think he was lucky enough
he had both hands on the mat and like pushed
his way up to like stand up, and as he
was maybe like a couple of inches all around, just
took a smooth like you're going for just you got
the goal, insight soccer kick go.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
And he still stood, So shout out to him. But
I've been saying, I'm.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
Just saying, like I mean, there's like we were talking
about it, I want Yeah, we've talked about it before
the MIC's turned on. Yeah, where you were saying, how
like you feel like some like boxers like you brought
up to I forget who was that has said it
that they needed like maybe pay them the way they
pay UFC fighters that make them hungry, because like I've
been saying recently, some of these fighters, man, these up
and comers, you could tell that they want it because
(11:39):
a lot.
Speaker 3 (11:40):
Of them was like the superstars are getting paid like crazy,
and then there's like the everybody else that's in the
in the either average so low.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Yeah yeah, that kind of like they're trying to make
a name for themselves.
Speaker 3 (11:52):
I don't know, just lose money always ruins the art.
Speaker 1 (11:55):
It does, you know, Like there's I mean, it's a weird.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
It's a weird thing because I guess it gives him
like a pathway they'll be able to go to like
a better camp and stuff like that. But at the
same time, like you definitely see like the fighters like
we give like Connor McGregor, who we have sitting right here.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
He gets up and wakes up in silk sheets.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
As the expression goes, it's like how much do you
really want it to come back to the sport? Or
even if you're currently let's say, ranked in the top ten,
how much you want to keep going. The question we
always have about Kevin Holland of whether or not he
wants to be a Championis he just here for a paycheck?
Like how serious do you take your training camp going
into the fight?
Speaker 1 (12:30):
Stuff like that. That's what we've got to see a little.
Speaker 3 (12:32):
Bit more of speaking of Kevin halland like the fighters
that kind of like lose lose one win to lose
two win one, Like those that just stay they'll stay
in like the top ten, but like like ten to nine, yep,
a drop down at thirteen maybe stay. Those are the
fighters that kind of intrigue me the most, Like doesn't
(12:55):
matter how many times they're knocked out yep. They still
find a way to get a dub lady have got
to man as opposed to like a fighter that becomes
champion gets knocked out completely falls off. It's like, I
don't know, like the ones like like Jose Aldo that
kind of sticks around for everyone.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
Yeah, they're like, uh they call him, they call him
like a journeyman. Yeah, yea, like Slash.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
I guess you can throw in like gatekeeper in a way,
like those guys that they kind of they hover around
like the top ten, but like the top half of
the tagle last one.
Speaker 3 (13:31):
Yeah, it's like stuff like that. Oh you still good
for him? Yeah, I know, Like how do you figure
that out?
Speaker 2 (13:37):
It's good to see man. It's always excited, like I
feel like, I mean you see it. Also sometimes with
the younger guys when they're on the losing streak and
they get that w back. So like this weekend been
wat Saint Deny get that dumb he's a two fight
losing skit by Kotko, Like that's you getting you.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
You're getting asked whoop son, and you.
Speaker 2 (13:55):
Decide, all right, bet let me go in here in
front of I guess you couldn't call it his crowd
because he's but they were in Canada, so he's a
French Canadian. But I guess they was like, it's kind
of the same everybody. Everybody's kind of the same. Friends
put them in there, so they got him in there,
and he decided. He's like, I bet I'm gonna get
this late replacement and I'm gonna just murder him in
(14:15):
front of this crowd and I'm gonna.
Speaker 1 (14:16):
Get cheered on. And he did exactly that.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
And now you get the energy back and he's like,
I bet we back in the win column.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
Maybe sometimes you just need that because it feels it
felt like they kind of handed him a doub I.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
Mean, you know, because he had like a scheduled fight
against the Killer.
Speaker 1 (14:31):
I'm not gonna lie beforehand.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
I thought I thought he was going to lose the
previous fight, but he was able to get an opponent
last minute. And I feel like, no matter who that
last minute opponent is, for the most part, you're gonna
have a bad time. There are the guys that stay ready,
but there is something about being able to train for
the guy that you're like scheduled to fight for. It's
like it's like studying for a test.
Speaker 3 (14:51):
Who is this guy, he did not seem ready.
Speaker 2 (14:55):
To me, this was Kyle Preple Like, he did not
seem ready. He didn't that seemed like he really wanted
to be in there. Yeah, he definitely took a check.
I'll tell you right now, the boy took a check.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
He went in there like he he really actually took
a lot of punches that it was a tough, tough fighter,
but got beat up. You gotta beat the funk up.
Speaker 1 (15:14):
I was waiting to see, like, when is.
Speaker 3 (15:15):
He gonna get knocked out?
Speaker 2 (15:16):
That was kind of what I was I was to say,
I was I was kind of waiting to see when
he was gonna get knocked out, because to me, it
seemed like he was doing good. He seemed like he
was handling like pretty well, like at least the timing
of his punches. He was able to evade some of them.
But then the moment I feel like got to him,
the pressure got to him, and then he just kind
of let Ben Watson denise are ting off.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
And once he started getting like tied and like the
bro when he got He's funny the way when he
was on the ground and he got him with that submission.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
Yeah, and the way.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
He helped him, like complete the submission.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
Yo, I need you guys to go and watch to
see if you can find.
Speaker 3 (15:53):
The clips he got.
Speaker 1 (15:55):
You see him at.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
One point like he's just like all right, bro, you're
doing it. You got to put your leg over here
this side.
Speaker 1 (16:00):
And then he goes, I bet.
Speaker 3 (16:03):
So guides him so to complete the submission on him.
He was done.
Speaker 2 (16:07):
He was checked out. That man was done. He was
he was over it. He really wasn't feeling being.
Speaker 3 (16:11):
There in my ass, I am tired. I can't even
throw a punch.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
No, I feel like that was the move for him.
He felt it in that moment. He was like, I'm
trying to go out, but I at least need him
to look good.
Speaker 1 (16:21):
So we're gonna put this light.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
Over and then like was it Ben was Saint Denis?
Speaker 1 (16:26):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (16:27):
He ends up like picking his arm up like he
this is the real way there for tugging this.
Speaker 2 (16:32):
I mean, dude, you come in, you come in into
like the last last minute notice replacement.
Speaker 3 (16:39):
You.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
Yeah, you helped him get somewhat bigger. I guess of
a paycheck because I want to say he got a
fight bonus. I want to sit around of applause for
the for the man that.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
For the victim.
Speaker 3 (16:50):
Shout out to this guy, Shout out to this amateur
that decided to fight be today.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
Terrible idea, man, terrible idea. Yeah, no, that was. That
was a horrible thing to do with him. But I
definitely think that they could have picked somebody maybe a
little bit, but by he shut out, he got the
definitely forgot what we were talking about.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
So we're going to continue on with the card because
I don't know how we got on the subject, but.
Speaker 3 (17:08):
Well, I think we we were still in the card.
Speaker 2 (17:12):
Uh no, we were still in the card, but we
were definitely talking about something that led us to get
into all though. And then then the elbow from elbow
Yeah yeah, okay, we got it anyway, get messed up.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
Messed up, so jabbed up the whole time.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
Yeah, he pieced up.
Speaker 2 (17:32):
I definitely don't think he gets a rematch because of
the way the fight went, because, like I said, people
are debating whether or not he lost four to one
or five to nothing. That's still either what horrible. Uh
doesn't qualify for a rematch. Unfortunately. I don't think this
is his last time fighting for a title.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
Though.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
He has a lot of tough.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
Competition ahead of him, though, is the unfortunate thing. I
will say this beforehand, the mentality with him, and I
think it will remain and that's why I'd like him
as a fighter so much has been that he's willing
to take on whoever. He's willing to take on the challenges.
He's calling out the young guys, the hunger guys. He's like,
I'm here to fight whoever.
Speaker 3 (18:08):
It is.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
So with that, if.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
He maintains that and he understands that like, it's not
gonna be easy road, which I think he understands fully right,
I think we can see him back in a title
shot picture for sure.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
That's an interesting question.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
So I have a I have a fun little list
here of people that I have and it's a mixed
bag of people that are looking.
Speaker 1 (18:30):
To get a title shot. I and Gary, Joaquin Buckley, Shot,
Catt Rockmanoff and Sean Brady.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
Are all that. Okay, okay, but yeah, now.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
You have to throw an Islam maka Cheff and that
makes as well since he is he is fighting next
for the title against JDM as ann by Dana White
earlier to okay, so he's so that that throws a
big wrench in a lot of people's plans.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
That's huge. He's gonna fight JDM.
Speaker 2 (18:59):
Yeah, so Islam is fighting JDM. Now they're gonna fight,
I believe later on this year. Now, with that being said,
that just holds up anybody getting a title shot anytime, Sue. Granted,
with that being said, JDM just fought, so I don't
see him fighting anytime soon anyway. But what that does
mean now for the list of names I said before Islam,
(19:21):
do they want to fight.
Speaker 1 (19:22):
Sooner than than that?
Speaker 2 (19:24):
And are they or do they want to wait to
be the next one, because sometimes waiting gets you the
title shot versus taking a fight, true, So do they
do they want to wait or do they want to
take a fight, and then in which case we have
Now let's see, so we got Ian Gary, Juaking Buckley,
shot Cut and Sean Brady. We got four guys because
Blall's out for a little bit, block got pieced up.
(19:44):
He needs to heal them stitches are going to take
a little bet. So out of those four guys, who
do you think is being matched up to be able
to get to the title next? Walking Buckley is fighting
Kamara Ousman, So that one that one already got a
I believe. Yeah, it's the same weight class well seventy
oh yeah, Leon, Yeah, you're right, so that one already
got I.
Speaker 3 (20:04):
Haven't seen Usman in so long that I kind of like, yeah,
it takes it. He got misplaced in the look it.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
Definitely, but that that one's already a fight that's getting
that got matched up. So he's kind of already taken.
But I'm not gonna lie to you. I feel like
he's gonna beat Tomorrow. Come that fight. I think he
I think he beats Tomorrow and he's still in that
title picture.
Speaker 3 (20:24):
I agree. I'm gonna have to see if it wasn't
for the fact that like Balla needs to recover. I
really was impressed by Sean Brady's performance.
Speaker 2 (20:36):
But he but his the thing is already beat Sean
Brady and beat him bad.
Speaker 1 (20:40):
He beat him bad.
Speaker 3 (20:41):
I think this is a different I think this was
a different Sean Brady this fight, this last fight against Leon.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
So so you I get that.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
I totally understand that, But I don't know if they
do a rematch off of that though.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
Do you want to see that or do you want
to see a fresh matchup?
Speaker 2 (20:55):
Throw him against a shot cut or Ian Gary, because
Ian Gary already fought shot Cut, so you either do
that one shot cut.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
It was Ian was a late, late replacement.
Speaker 3 (21:08):
I think give Sean Brady the title shot after this.
Speaker 1 (21:12):
So have Sean Brady wait, then you would have Ian
Oh no, because then I guess everybody kind of waits that. Ye, yeah, right,
everybody kind of waits. Have to who else is there?
I feel like you have Hawaking.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
Fight Uh Gary? No, you have you have Buckley fight
tomorrow because that one's already scheduled. Let's say he beats tomorrow,
then you have him fight Gary, and then I think
you have Shavcot he's got to I don't know, man,
who who?
Speaker 1 (21:45):
There's too many.
Speaker 3 (21:46):
People that are do you?
Speaker 2 (21:48):
I guess you would have him wait and fight belall
that that would make the most sense.
Speaker 1 (21:52):
Let's let's look at thet or Gary. I gotta pull
up the rankings now because that's a that's an interesting thing.
But there's too many people in the mix. Yeah, j
DM winning really threw a wrench all this.
Speaker 3 (22:00):
And then what happens if Islam loses everything?
Speaker 2 (22:04):
Well, that's another part of it is that Islam says
he's going to maintain both belts allegedly, so if he
moves up and wins, he says he wants to hold
both belts, so if anything he loses, he just moves
back down to one fifty five and just keeps running
shit there.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
So I think you'll be fine.
Speaker 3 (22:18):
So when you vacate the belt, you don't. He didn't actually.
Speaker 1 (22:22):
Vacate it, So that's the thing.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
Alia fully gave up the belt to move up to
one forty five, and it seemed like the story around
that was that he had to give up the belt
to move up to one fifty five.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
I don't think that's the case with Islam.
Speaker 3 (22:35):
Oh. I thought this was okay.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
I also thought that that was a universal rule. I mean, personally, I.
Speaker 3 (22:39):
Saw the news. I thought he vacated it.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
No, apparently not. Apparently he's going to try to keep both.
I don't know if he's going to actually do that.
But I was also listening to DC and jail Son
and earlier and Jail Sun. Listen, say what you want
about Jail. I love jail Undefeated, Undefeated. He made a
valid point, Bro, once you move up, you don't want
to make that weight cut again.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
You move up to it and you boke up to one.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
Imagine how great you would be if you got both
belts and you fight, you defend them equally.
Speaker 1 (23:14):
You would be amazing. You'd be amazing.
Speaker 3 (23:16):
You cut wait for this, then you go up way
for this fight, and you go back down for this fight.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
You go off of last episode where we were discussing
like adding more weight classes, where I was like, I
don't understand it adding too many weight classes because you're
adding too many people. That's kind of like mixing it
up too much, and it's like it's like you already
are having a superstar issue when.
Speaker 1 (23:34):
It comes to this.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
If you if you had a sense, this is where
I'll agree. If you had a situation where it was
like every five to ten pounds that was a title,
then I get that. But that's fifteen pounds, brot. You
gotta cut back and forth. I guess it depends on
how often you're fighting to defend that belt. But I
would say most champions want to fight at least twice
(23:56):
a year, So like, what do you fight once a
year in each weight to ition?
Speaker 1 (24:00):
So that means everybody has town there's only one shot
per year for your chance to become a champion, Like
that's not fair. That's not fair.
Speaker 3 (24:07):
Well, like that's like it's like John Jones.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
I like the I like the thing of a double champ,
But I think at this point, you got to give
that up. You got to give that up, and you
gotta you only you only be one weight division. You
gotta choose, you move up, you become that champion, you
stay there and the other belt goes vacant and whoever
then comes in can.
Speaker 1 (24:26):
Take that belt.
Speaker 2 (24:29):
Also feel like there should be a time limit on
how long you hold the belt without fighting. Ala John
Jones needs to get rid of that belt and Tom
is the undisputed champion.
Speaker 1 (24:37):
I don't. I think it's like, bro, like you can't
just hold off. How long can you hold off without fighting?
Speaker 3 (24:43):
Holding up that whole heavyweight the vision?
Speaker 1 (24:44):
I think once every once a year, once every three
hundred and sixty five days, you.
Speaker 3 (24:49):
Have to at least he's been like, well like five years.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
That's no, no, no, no, no.
Speaker 3 (24:53):
How long has it been since he's been really kind
of like in the way holding up the division?
Speaker 1 (24:57):
Who John Jones? Yeah, right now, right now.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
No, But before that, those the intrum, Yeah, before that,
it was.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
Kind of the weird thing of him, like kind of
like leaving light heavyweight and like what he was going
to be back, So that's also another time he did it.
Speaker 1 (25:08):
But I don't know. That's when it comes in.
Speaker 3 (25:10):
Here beats Cereal gone real quick gets the and it's like, uh,
what I'm saying, like like holding up if you're gonna
do it for like six months whatever, But when you
hit the full three sixty five mark, I think you
have to vacate the belt.
Speaker 2 (25:24):
And then it goes to whoever the next fight that's
like the number two or three ranked.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
Like headweight or whatever. It's going to be whoever the
next contenders are.
Speaker 2 (25:32):
But when it comes to like who's going to fight
next for the title, you have Islam already booked to
fight it. But then after that, I don't know, man,
I guess it's kind of like a mixed bag. The
only other thing I can think of is if you
do Shot Catt and Sean Brady, that that'd be a
fight that you would do next that that's like available.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
Leon Edwards is still there, he's still ranked number four.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
Oh yeah, so you can do Gary again, Gary versus
Leon Edwards only three, He's yeah, so Leon Leon Leon
is ranked for Ian Gary ring six.
Speaker 3 (26:00):
Leon needs to be given like a striker for once
so he can like maybe try that. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (26:07):
I'm not gonna lie to you.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
I don't think he's gonna bro Ready, uh JDM is
the champ, so that I would say that that's maybe
the only one that you can consider just a full
ball and striker. But besides that Ballam Mohammade, Sean Brady
shot Catt rockmanoff. Then you got Leon Edwards at four,
Kamarawsman at five, Ian Gary at six. Anybody around him
that he's most likely going to get matched up with
is going to wrestle him.
Speaker 3 (26:27):
Bro I know, I hate to see a great fighters
career and because of wrestlers.
Speaker 2 (26:34):
Like I mean, here's my thing with that is like
if you if it's just the weird thing, if you
want to see strikers and you want to see these
like crazy battles back and forth, kickboxing watch Mutai like
there's there there are those as and Conna.
Speaker 3 (26:49):
Just joined kickboxing.
Speaker 2 (26:51):
Well, to be fair, he's still he's still like under
UFC contract. I don't think he can do anything right now.
So the soul is the same reason when you don't
see him like boxing or anything like that because he's
still under contact with them.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
He still has to get those out of the way.
But yeah, that one's gonna be I don't know what
happens next with that one. Man. JDM did really good
and he's impressing. He's improved.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
It's the crazy thing is is not only is he
on this crazy win streak, but he's also improved in
that time. So now like with a takedown defense, like
another thing that was said on the DC and Chail
Sound of podcast. Again, I don't know the truthfulness to this,
and then.
Speaker 1 (27:25):
Dana White actually know JDM.
Speaker 2 (27:28):
Yeah, Dana White said this about JDM earlier when it
was going to be Belall versus Islam hypothetically for the title, Uh,
Islam was a heavy favorite. Now that it's Islam versus JDM,
it's almost even really, so I don't know if that
down defense really like made people be like, I don't
know if Islam can take the belt.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
But those punches were so accurate in the flows, the
flow of heart. His striking was like, it's smooth, so smooth, Chris.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
That's why I texted you guys a few days ago
when I was like, Bro, I'm watching JDM Gilbert Burns.
Speaker 1 (28:04):
Bro, I don't know. I don't know. I was talking
real crazy on the podcast, but I don't know.
Speaker 3 (28:09):
Like it's funny because I wou never would from what
I saw on like the Countdown, I never would have
thought of this.
Speaker 1 (28:16):
It's a recency bias, man.
Speaker 2 (28:17):
You forget the fights that you see unless you keep
going back and you see like the highlights of stuff,
or you watch the full fight. You forget so like
after a while, if they've haven't fought like six plus months,
you don't even think about it. And then I go
back and I decide to watch like the most previous fight,
and I'm like shit, I was like, I need to
go cancel that parlaya the hell we make this bitch
because I don't know what I just did. Yeah, it's bad, man,
(28:39):
it's bad. There's a lot of a lot of moments
like that where I feel like I'm like, this dude's
fucking ass. Bro, you ain't got nothing. And then I
watched his most recent wind. I was like, he almost
killed that man. He also got wheel down in the
stretcher like he real bad bullslely what happens? I don't know,
I have faith that they're gonna come up with some
pretty crazy matchups. To my knowledge, as much as we
(28:59):
were just talking about that, I don't know if any
of those people were included in Dana White's crazy nonsense
uh that he announced let me check, let me check,
let me check. Nope, not a soul, not a one
of them was announcing in any of that. So I
don't know what's gonna happen. Yeah, I don't know what's
gonna happen at one seventy.
Speaker 1 (29:15):
We'll see.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
Hopefully they get some interesting choices and people will start
moving up in the ranks, and you see Buckley, Buckley
and Tomorrow are the only ones that right now have
a have a match that to my knowledge. Again, put
it in the comments, guys, Remind me, I don't be
checking too much. It's a lot, you know, I mean
to keep up with. But put in the comments and
let me know because I believe it's just those two.
But other than that, I don't know what else Paris
(29:37):
you would do. I feel like Brady and Chofcott book it,
Dana White hire me. Yeah, moving on Valentina Shipchanko Fierro
I called it man Valentina was just too much all
over the place, like I told you, like on the feet,
she's just a veteran at the sport. Bro she knows
(29:58):
how to use her gas thing. She knows when to
push the effort in certain areas to get it to
the way she wants it. I'm not going to sit
here and act like she steamrolled like Menon did good.
But I think Valentino is just the more experienced fighters.
So she showed that, and that's the reason I think
it was said that she's now the first fighter to
complete a full belt worth of rubies, which means she
(30:21):
has defended the belt an insane amount of times, an
insane amount of times, like I'm talking put her in
the Hall of Fame as an active fighter and insane
amount of times. I love that when you have somebody
like and this goes across any sport where you just
know that they've done enough that they're like they're in
the hall of fame, Like they're in it. You're just like,
(30:42):
I can't wait to see what else they do, Like
what else could there be for them?
Speaker 1 (30:46):
That's exciting? So Jat's a Valentino chifchanko for doing that.
Speaker 3 (30:50):
Nobody can be there.
Speaker 1 (30:52):
I don't know about that.
Speaker 3 (30:53):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (30:54):
So we always ask the thing after someone wins, what's next?
They just anybody can beat her as somebody I think
that can beat her. And we were just talking about
people moving up and weight classes to become.
Speaker 1 (31:06):
Cham Wayly Way could definitely be her.
Speaker 3 (31:11):
Yeah, she could definitely bet her.
Speaker 1 (31:14):
Yeah, double champ baby.
Speaker 3 (31:16):
As much as I love Jacob Wayey, I love way
my favorite female fighter. Yo.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
I think I think she takes that.
Speaker 2 (31:25):
I'm like, it's another it's another thing of a veteran
uh tactician versus the up and coming hungry like you know,
uh champ. But I don't know who wins that one.
I would I would say favored would be Waye.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (31:42):
I feel like but she would have to go up.
She would have to go up, you know. Any the
size difference is really that big because she's very.
Speaker 3 (31:57):
I don't know, what do you think she walked around?
I don't even know when it comes, I don't know.
They walk around like what ways you walking around with you?
Speaker 2 (32:04):
I feel like it's rare that I see like women missweight,
So I have to say that they walk around probably
like ten pounds to fifteen pounds heavier than where they
are at at the most, and so like the weight
cut isn't like a huge thing. Maybe at the higher
weight classes they might walk around a little bit more
like again, it's really weird.
Speaker 1 (32:25):
I know, it's just is the whole thing we're like, oh,
you shouldn't talk about women's weight.
Speaker 2 (32:28):
But there's also the whole thing of like Kayla Harrison
cutting down all the way down the way.
Speaker 3 (32:33):
I feel like we're fighting. It's like we're talking about
weight classes.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
Of course, Yeah, I know you gotta getta.
Speaker 2 (32:40):
So with that stuff, that's where you you you have
to see. Like when it comes to the size, I
think that they match up in size. I think Wayley
might be a little shorter than her, but I feel
like they got to be around the same like build.
Speaker 1 (32:52):
Maybe let's see what we what do we think of?
What are we thinking of? What are you thinking of?
Speaker 2 (32:56):
Valentina is probably like what like give me a guess,
like five five? What would be like she's six seven?
Speaker 3 (33:03):
Bro. In my books I remember from like.
Speaker 1 (33:07):
I just want like the status sheets, guys, let's see
where it is.
Speaker 3 (33:11):
I'll go five to five five, take to see.
Speaker 1 (33:15):
We'll take it I feel like that works.
Speaker 3 (33:18):
They got Avia's height.
Speaker 1 (33:21):
Doude, She's five to five on the money, twenty five pounds,
reaches sixty six inches.
Speaker 2 (33:28):
Okay, cool, So then now we want to get she's
strong though, Sure he gets strong.
Speaker 1 (33:33):
She's rushing strong, bro.
Speaker 3 (33:34):
I know, who do you think is the butler wrestler, rappler, grappler.
Speaker 1 (33:40):
I don't know. The thing is a Wayley. I feel
like it's also very.
Speaker 3 (33:43):
Strong, So I know she has like a core little
like you see it was it her that picked up.
Speaker 2 (33:47):
I would say, yeah, I would I would say, like
overall knowledge, I would probably go with Valentine. I think
is more well rounded in certain like I'm gonna say grappling,
you know what I mean. So I think that she
might be able to get out of certain things a
little bit easier.
Speaker 1 (34:01):
But I don't know.
Speaker 2 (34:03):
We have seen way Lee kind of like Way's only
five four, so she's not that. It's not that huge
difference between the two of them. Man, we've seen what
way Lee get into.
Speaker 3 (34:12):
Uh, we'll throw hands with a couple of fighters and
like it's probably best I take you to the ground
kind of her.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
Her team name is Crazy Beijing Black Tigers, insane. That's
way Lee's Beijing Black Tigers. It's a three three inch
difference in the reach. I think that this would be
a much closer fight than a lot of people would would.
I think that. I think when.
Speaker 2 (34:35):
This this fight, if it gets booked, I think you're
going to see that the betting line is like pretty
even the.
Speaker 3 (34:40):
Pick who you are.
Speaker 1 (34:41):
I feel like I put I feel like I'd go
with way Lee.
Speaker 3 (34:44):
I'd go with way Lee. But to be realistic, it's
going to be a lot closer than I wanted to be.
Speaker 2 (34:50):
Yeah, I wouldn't bet on because there's also like Valentino
is also one that she knows when she finds the
path to victory, she's gonna take it no matter what
people think. Like let's say, if it comes down to
like she's like I need to just wrestle this girl
and just hold her down and just kind of like
piece her up on the ground as best as I can,
She'll do that versus like, let me get into a
stand up striking war. I find that it's a lot
more likely she's going to do something like that versus
(35:11):
her being like Max Holloway like right here, you know
what I mean?
Speaker 1 (35:14):
Type of thing. I'd love to see it, man, I'd
love to see it. Bok. Yeah, that's a good thing.
I guess the good and the bad thing.
Speaker 2 (35:21):
When it comes to like the women's MMA, you can
kind of like mess around a little bit more in
that because there, I'm not gonna lie, some of those
divisions aren't as stacked.
Speaker 1 (35:29):
Like we were just trying to.
Speaker 2 (35:30):
Figure out, like, bro, who would be next for this
besides obviously Islam being already decided, but like, well, there's
so many choices you can go with.
Speaker 3 (35:39):
I noticed going to another fight on the card, that's fine.
Alexa Grasshow losing.
Speaker 2 (35:45):
Yeah, so she was ranked number three or no, she
was ranked number one. And then now that they've updated
the rankings, Natalia Silva, who just beat Alexa Grasshow is
now taking her number one spot. So need to be
Natalia Silva would be next?
Speaker 3 (35:59):
Or a firecracker that one.
Speaker 1 (36:01):
She's good, bro. I know she was a little quick,
little I will say.
Speaker 2 (36:04):
People were hating on her for like moving around, right,
but what she be doing like zooma kicks.
Speaker 3 (36:11):
Yeah, constantly even though she was like running I want
to say running away. She was moving a lot, but
striking a lot.
Speaker 2 (36:19):
Yeah, that that is her like fighting style, and that's
why I like, I knew she was going to win
because I was like, she's gonna win off a volume
unless Alexa was able to like take her down and
keep her down, She's going to just basically like she did,
dance circles around her and just immediately just like jab
jab kick, jab jab kick. And then you have to
almost notice she throws that kick from like a very
(36:42):
close distance and throws that like a high so like
you won't even think and she's just like she throws
it like smooth combos.
Speaker 1 (36:49):
For the most part, I think she did pretty good.
Speaker 3 (36:52):
Yeah, she was.
Speaker 1 (36:53):
She was like you said, she's a firecracker that one.
Speaker 3 (36:55):
Bro, is this one thing? Like I understand running when
you're you're not throwing punches, you're not throwing any strikes
at all. Like that, I wouldn't respect, you know.
Speaker 1 (37:06):
She was using the movement to her advantage so that
she couldn't get into those close exchanges with Alexa, because
Alexa hits hard and she's very good at boxing.
Speaker 3 (37:13):
So I want.
Speaker 2 (37:15):
I know, man, I think that she's one that like
she just has to make sure that she cleans up
some stuff and really focuses on like her next opponents
to make sure that she gets those w's because she
still she's still ring number three.
Speaker 1 (37:29):
She gets one big win and she can get the
title shot. That.
Speaker 2 (37:31):
Like I said, that's a good thing about these divisions.
You don't really have to worry too too much. If
you're in the top five. As long as you get
the next win, you should be fine. Macy Barber and
Aaron Blanchefield those are like the next two coming up.
So as long as she can beat whoever the winner
of that one would be, I feel like she should
be fine. But if I had to guess, Jazzavissius also
(37:52):
won on that card, shout out to her, and she's
either going to fight the winner of Aaron and Macy
or they may give her Alexa and then she'll probably
depending on how that goes, she might also be in
line for the title shot.
Speaker 1 (38:04):
We'll see, because she's hit at number six.
Speaker 3 (38:05):
Right now, let's think that be Alexa. You think she
fights Valentina next.
Speaker 2 (38:10):
I think if they don't do way Lead next, then
it'll be Natalia for sure. Yeah, I think it'll be
Natalia that That's at least what I'm thinking because in
my in my eyes, like Valentina can have I guess
the option since she would be the defending champ.
Speaker 3 (38:26):
Did she struggle with uh Natalia?
Speaker 1 (38:29):
I don't think so.
Speaker 2 (38:30):
I think I think Natalia would be an easier fight
for her than way Lee, like by like a decent margin.
Like I feel like if we were to talk betting lines,
like Valentino would be a minus two hundred versus like
if she thought way Lee, she'd be like an even.
Speaker 1 (38:41):
One in one kind of thing.
Speaker 3 (38:42):
Yeah, I would.
Speaker 2 (38:43):
I don't know who, I guess you because like in
the weight thing, you might lean the favorite towards Valentina,
but I would say, like at this point it kind of.
Speaker 1 (38:50):
Seems like.
Speaker 2 (38:52):
Style age in just longevity in the sport, I think
that they would kind of lean more towards like putting
Valentin as the under in some matchups.
Speaker 1 (39:02):
But I think against the Tala.
Speaker 2 (39:03):
She'ld be favorite to beat her, and I think that
she would beat her, to be honest with you, as
much as I like, I don't think she's that's a
different level, bro. The bullet is a different level of
a fighter for sure, a different caliber. If you will
see what I did there, puns, thank you.
Speaker 3 (39:22):
Oh man, Yeah, all right.
Speaker 2 (39:25):
Write that down. Cut that out. Cut that out demonetized
BMF champions.
Speaker 1 (39:33):
But yeah, man, Manan did well.
Speaker 2 (39:36):
I think at first round she got hit really hard
and got her nose busted open. I think that that
slowed her down a bunch. So yeah, I think she's
got to work on not gettinghit face you know what
I mean. I'm not no doctor, but yeah, I know
she she needs to watch out, you know, she needs
to needs to be careful.
Speaker 1 (39:52):
She got to think a little too overconfidence.
Speaker 2 (39:54):
Something about her in in this this lead up, like
you said you watched the embeddeds, I felt I know
she's not normally one to be expressive, but like something
about this where like I don't know, it kind of
gave me the energy of like she felt like she
was too cool for the moment or she was like
already certain. And I know that there's something about being confident.
(40:14):
Like as much as we we we hated on it,
Eliot Taporia basically spoken to existence is greatness, and he
achieved it so far. So I think that there's a
level of like that versus like you're kind of being
like two cocky or it doesn't feel like doesn't feel
like you're manifesting things more so you're just like, no,
I'm not good, bro, I'm not good, and you're not
(40:37):
that good. She's good, but she's not that good.
Speaker 3 (40:39):
It's different. Poia is like really walking to walk, Yeah,
walk in.
Speaker 1 (40:47):
The tough That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (40:48):
That's what I'm saying, Like, if you're gonna, if you're
gonna have that kind of attitude, like you have to
show it. Like she I'll tell you this, she's She's
definitely dominated some of her previous opponents. It was a concern,
especially with the physical size of her, of how she
was gonna do against Valentina because she's bigger than her.
Speaker 1 (41:03):
But she had nothing for it. I'm gonna be honest
with there's not.
Speaker 2 (41:06):
They were like moments of that fight where I was like,
I feel like, I mean it could a surprise, something
might happen, but there was nothing. Like when it came
to the striking, I was like, I don't see her
clipping her or anything like that. When it came to
the grappling, I was like, maybe she's able to like
be a little stronger than her. But then I saw
once it got to like the end, I think of
like the second round, I was like, nah, she she
don't got nothing on her.
Speaker 1 (41:25):
That one was like it was weird.
Speaker 2 (41:26):
It's like you hit these moments with like and you
shouldn't do this, but like I hit this moment where
I was like I could probably walk away from this
and I don't know how this is going.
Speaker 1 (41:33):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (41:34):
I was like I could probably go refill my drink
and go check up on the food or whatever and
I should be fine, and Loki I was, yeah, okay,
I very much was, And I think that's exactly how
it went.
Speaker 1 (41:43):
But hopefully we get to see that way Leave fight next.
I think that if you.
Speaker 2 (41:46):
If I had to, if I had to choose what
I'd want to see next, I'll always pick the super fight.
I think everybody would usually pick the super fight versus
like the I don't know. I feel like she's known,
but I don't know if anybody knows like Natalia Silva
like that much for her to be like a huge
like you even just now you're.
Speaker 1 (42:05):
Like, what's the name shorty that beat a?
Speaker 2 (42:08):
Yeah, Like I think way Lee has a bigger name,
and I feel like that would be a bigger fight.
Plus where they're from I want to say Valentine is
from like Kazakhstan or something like that, and then uh
Waylee being from China. I feel like you do something
over on that side of.
Speaker 3 (42:24):
The world and you put it in Russia.
Speaker 1 (42:28):
Yeah, you just have an insane crowd of both cultures.
Speaker 3 (42:34):
Mongolia, supercarded.
Speaker 1 (42:39):
I feel like that'd be fire man, let's do it.
That's my thing.
Speaker 2 (42:42):
When I loved I love like as much as like
we always talk about wanting some more US superstars. Bro,
you gotta love the the the foreign I guess or
the international I should say superstars like it's foreign I
guess because we're from the US, but international superstars because
you get to see these like crazy states. You get
it because, like I mean, you used to shout out
(43:02):
to eight o six. You're used to American basketball, American football,
like you know what I mean, Like you.
Speaker 3 (43:08):
Don't really see American anymore.
Speaker 1 (43:10):
Damn it's like that, damn man. But I don't like
it's still the same stadiums. No, it's still the same
fan base. No, I feel like it's.
Speaker 3 (43:19):
Definitely the pissing me off. Getting real international lately.
Speaker 1 (43:23):
Sounds like you got some sirt us.
Speaker 3 (43:26):
My friend.
Speaker 4 (43:28):
Anyway, you're like, oh, I plugged the mic.
Speaker 1 (43:42):
Oh I don't know what happened.
Speaker 2 (43:44):
But you get like you like watch the watch the
embeddeds more. It gets it's really cool when you get
to go to these places. When they go to like
the Abu Dhabi's and stuff, and you get to see
these different places and the crazy arenas and the stadiums
or whatever else that they build. You're like, yo, this
is this is pretty fire. I'm not gonna lie when
I Whenever I play UC five. I never fight in
the US ever, really straight up never. What is it
(44:06):
at the hot fight over? I pull up crazy with
the whole ship.
Speaker 1 (44:15):
I guess we'll rob and all that. Bro, we're gonna
have We're gonna have an episode live from Abudai. They're
not even right.
Speaker 3 (44:22):
It definitely got my tiger next to me.
Speaker 2 (44:24):
It won't be a green screen right here at all.
It will be literally us in won't have a green screen.
Speaker 3 (44:31):
Have a female line.
Speaker 1 (44:32):
Okay, what's the name by the leash? What's the name?
Speaker 3 (44:36):
Layla?
Speaker 1 (44:43):
Shut quick?
Speaker 3 (44:45):
Think quick, but yeah, vibes, you know, I don't. I
don't know if they let you smoke out there with cigars.
Speaker 1 (44:52):
Maybe at least, I don't really know what the vibe is.
I say we pull up. Honestly, we pull up and
we'll figure it out what we get there. We won't
look into anything at all. We'll just go. Next time
they have a fight night or something, will pull up.
Speaker 3 (45:02):
I don't they don't let you uh be you over
an album?
Speaker 5 (45:08):
All right, baby, baby that we don't. We don't stay
here and be me, you feel me. That's the best
way to put it.
Speaker 3 (45:19):
I guess.
Speaker 2 (45:19):
I say we write a nice lovely letter on behalf
of uneducated MMA. I almost messed up borrown name uneducated
mm a uh to Dana White to have a fight
night in d r oh. We put Waldo Acosta Cortes
as the headliner.
Speaker 3 (45:35):
Headliner. We got a damn that could be a fucking
there's no other domad but everybody, everybody else has to
be Hispanic in some way.
Speaker 1 (45:43):
Do you count? We just throw Brazilians on there.
Speaker 3 (45:45):
Brazilians can be in there, yeah, but it can't be
Brazilian versus Brazilian. It has to be Brazilian versus or
like a Cuban, or like a Brazilian verse a Mexican.
Speaker 1 (45:53):
I'm with the heavy, just heavy, on the Spanish.
Speaker 3 (45:56):
Heavy on the Spanish. Even if you have a hit
Hispanic name and your American there, I'm with that.
Speaker 2 (46:03):
Anybody that has Santos or Dos Santos.
Speaker 3 (46:10):
Ds brothers, fuck it under card that.
Speaker 1 (46:14):
He is. He is Spanish Domina Cruz.
Speaker 3 (46:17):
Now not.
Speaker 2 (46:17):
What about Henry s Hudo, he's big on. I'm American,
like he's Mexican. He's big on I'm American.
Speaker 3 (46:27):
Because you need some names.
Speaker 1 (46:28):
Welcome to the d R s Hudo.
Speaker 3 (46:29):
Yeah, you need some names big Dominican.
Speaker 2 (46:32):
Yeah that actually can like you some know more so, Yeah,
people that can actually hold up the card.
Speaker 1 (46:37):
I get what I mean.
Speaker 2 (46:38):
To be fair, we're not gonna fight night, I said,
I gave. I gave him a fight night out of
pay per view. As much as I love my.
Speaker 3 (46:42):
People, start with you start with a fight night for sure.
Speaker 1 (46:48):
That'd be crazy. If they sell out an arena.
Speaker 3 (46:50):
There's only one now. And then in the undercas a bunch.
Speaker 1 (46:53):
Of Russians, Jakastani's people.
Speaker 3 (46:57):
They have just mad Russians out there at the ZOS.
Speaker 1 (47:01):
You know, you know why, you know why I want that.
Speaker 2 (47:03):
I want them to have some names that they could
take back home and come up with. Some crazy Dominican
names with. I feel like Dominicans really just be coming
up with some nonsense, bro. I want them to look
at a Mahat chaff and be like, I love it.
Speaker 1 (47:13):
It's beautiful. Yeah, you asked exactly what I have.
Speaker 2 (47:17):
Squad of Mahat Chef's coming up in the next couple
of years. Shout at the r that we did that
collabse Dominican Dagistani kids.
Speaker 3 (47:25):
Yeah, it's like in Dakistan. As the whole community of Dominicans.
Speaker 1 (47:30):
Bro, We'll be everywhere.
Speaker 2 (47:31):
Somebody of the day told me that there's a population
and this is going to be a complete you know, Googles,
because I did not Google.
Speaker 1 (47:36):
This is something somebody told me. So disclaimer on that one. Yeah,
uneducated yea for fourteen thousand Dominicans in Switzerland or something
like that. I heard that on the real that was
the true one.
Speaker 2 (47:47):
I was like, why are we in Switzerland of all places, bro,
Like someone I would have never guessed every edition besides besides,
like besides, like besides like Lawrence, Massachusetts, like New York.
I feel like there's apparently Switzerland were popping. I've been
told Toronto, there's a whole bunch of us. And there's
a city in Japan that has quite a few Dominicans.
Speaker 3 (48:10):
It wasn't Switzerland, it was it was one of those
countries in either Germany, Poland one of those has has Dominicans.
Why are we in either, bro, I think you know
what happened. All the Europeans that travel to dr for vacation.
(48:32):
I think they get way more vacation times than Americans.
They just always rich Russians and rich Germans wolf faking
or there is a lot of Switzerland. Uh people, yeah,
going on vacation.
Speaker 1 (48:51):
Couldn't guess you're like, I couldn't think of the way,
So I just said people.
Speaker 3 (48:55):
But like, I think they brought one got married, and
that's how it started.
Speaker 1 (49:02):
So they started telling everybody that you over here.
Speaker 3 (49:05):
So they started a whole family out there. A little
by little, it just grew and grew, and then they
brought the rest of the family with them after or
something like that.
Speaker 1 (49:12):
I'm with that, honestly, shout out wherever we can be,
we'll do it. Let's get that. Let's get that fight
down over there.
Speaker 3 (49:17):
Else we're in America. It's mostly like here New York.
Speaker 1 (49:26):
There's some New Jersey yeah, some New Jersey.
Speaker 3 (49:28):
Some Rhode Island. I do.
Speaker 2 (49:30):
I feel like we don't really count for Florida. Like
when you think of Spanish people in Florida, I feel
like they're like Dominicans in Orlando, but like Florida they're like.
Speaker 1 (49:37):
This Dominicans is like Uban Dominican a Ricans heavy.
Speaker 3 (49:40):
Yeah, your family in Miami for sure, And and for Lauderdale,
and I.
Speaker 1 (49:46):
Feel like out West Fair. You know, it's crazy.
Speaker 2 (49:48):
I went to San Diego once and I found the
only Dominican restaurant, Liza is what they told me. It's
the only Dominican restaurant in all of California.
Speaker 3 (49:57):
That's crazy.
Speaker 1 (49:57):
It's the only place you will find any that's annything anywhere.
Speaker 3 (50:01):
I don't think I can go somewhere that I can't.
Speaker 1 (50:05):
I think there's a lot of places. Man, really limiting yourself,
Actually not really, now that we're finding out, you got
Switzerland at in to the MIxS, you got Toronto out
of the mix.
Speaker 3 (50:17):
I seemed like a family of Japanese people in.
Speaker 1 (50:19):
Dr There's a lot. There's a lot, there's a lot,
there's quite a few.
Speaker 2 (50:22):
My favorite thing is I remember when I was a kid,
I went to go visit dr and then we went
to a restaurant coffee cup there everywhere, and it was
just a squad of Japanese people running it, speaking another
but Japanese and Dominican Spanish specifically to another, not no English,
but just that.
Speaker 1 (50:37):
And I was like, that's when I.
Speaker 2 (50:38):
Found out that they're like, oh no, it's just easy
to go there that it is to go to the US.
They squad that just moved there, and I was like,
that makes sense anyway, So back to you see, forgot
where we were for a second. Not gonna lie. Yeah,
So the UFC three fifteen was a great card. I
think that it definitely was something that was slept on
at the beginning. There was a whole conversation about like
(51:01):
them having a bunch of open seats and whatnot before
the fight even started. Before the main card started, they
still had a lot of available tickets, but you know,
stuff happens. I think that a lot of people just
kind of really hate them belall, and I think that
JDM wasn't the biggest name in that division to be
a fight that a lot of people wanted to see,
even though I mean, I guess it's something you would
(51:23):
would still watch on like TV rather than go the
stakes that were put on this fight in terms of like,
whoever wins this, it will then either be Ilia versus
Islam or will have what is Islam versus JDM, and
then Ilia will versus Charles Olavera, which we did now
get with Dana White's announcement. Yeah, and that's I cannot wait.
Speaker 3 (51:46):
Those announcements today were.
Speaker 2 (51:48):
UC three seventeen is Dana White's fun. The little announcement
he decided to drop on us on my way into
the studio today. We were wondering for a long time
of when we were going to at International Fight Week.
At this point, it's been a long time coming.
Speaker 1 (52:03):
It's forty days.
Speaker 2 (52:05):
Or so away, something like that, so we were wondering, like,
all right, it's about time for us to get this announcement. No,
he took a while, but he finally dropped it today. Again,
a lot of things were weighing in, I guess on
that card because they didn't. I guess he didn't want
to announce the main event without announcing the rest of
the card as well, leaving it blank. So just to
quickly go over and then we'll kind of dive a
(52:26):
little bit deeper into it International Fight Week.
Speaker 1 (52:28):
You see seventeen. There we go. I did to think
about it. We're talking about three fifteen. Now we're going
to three seventeen.
Speaker 3 (52:34):
He said.
Speaker 1 (52:34):
We'll break it down obviously.
Speaker 2 (52:36):
In another episode later on, but I just kind of
want to go over just because Data White announce it
today again. This is news, breaking news, breaking news, Tuesday,
May thirteenth. Eliot Taporia versus Charles Olavera for the lightweight Championship,
Alexandra Pantojia versus Kai Karra France for the World flyweight Championship,
Paolo Costa versus Roman copy love, but Neil dar Yues
(52:56):
versus had nothing.
Speaker 1 (52:57):
Wait, Kano, and I'm gonna let you take that one.
Oh what are we doing?
Speaker 3 (53:06):
Janada?
Speaker 1 (53:06):
Denise yep, I'm gonna you. I usually am pretty good
with these names. That one, nah, I'm good. Justin Tafa, Yeah,
that one, that one, That one's easy.
Speaker 3 (53:16):
This was the hard one, bro, Janada, Denise, j h
O n A t A.
Speaker 1 (53:23):
You know that Ah silent, So I guess I guess
it would be Janata or is it? Oh?
Speaker 3 (53:30):
Brazilian acts they are there are Brazilian. I don't do
Brazilian accident. When people do the Jose altho, I.
Speaker 1 (53:35):
Say Jose, Okay, I get that. I get that.
Speaker 3 (53:38):
Alex Rada, I say Pereira.
Speaker 1 (53:42):
I get that. I guess you know that.
Speaker 3 (53:45):
I can't do your whole accent. I could try. I
can try to pronounce the name.
Speaker 2 (53:48):
I trying to do a couple Brandon roy valversus Manel
cop Jack Harmanton.
Speaker 1 (53:54):
Right right, No, we know we're saying that Justin wasn't here.
We defunck that name up.
Speaker 3 (54:06):
Oh man, I guess I guess you have to take
a shot.
Speaker 2 (54:09):
I thought I thought she brought this out sooner.
Speaker 3 (54:13):
I don't. I thought about it like if I'm gonna
take a shot now, I might as well. I don't
even know who've been drinking old time.
Speaker 1 (54:23):
Don't figure it out. They'll figure it out. Shout out
to do not to Denise. Shout out at Denise.
Speaker 2 (54:31):
That sounds like something we should say pause for. I
don't know why something about Denise doesn't sound right to me.
Speaker 1 (54:39):
It's not as bad.
Speaker 3 (54:40):
It's not as bad as I initially was.
Speaker 1 (54:42):
Brandon ended better than it started. I'll tell you that. Damn.
Speaker 2 (54:52):
Jack heer Manson versus Gregory Rodriguez show shoutout RoboCop or
Barack Obama.
Speaker 1 (54:58):
I don't know, you guys will come up, you'll get it.
Vivian Ujo. Okay, that was another one that I don't
really know how to say because it's like the last name.
Speaker 2 (55:06):
I gotta I gotta speak to more Brazilians, not because
it's more so like how do you pronounce it?
Speaker 1 (55:11):
Like this one right here at Jujo.
Speaker 3 (55:16):
Vivian Rujo, Viviana.
Speaker 1 (55:18):
I'm gonna stop at Brazilian in the.
Speaker 2 (55:19):
Street in my ass And Tracy Cortez shout out to
Tracy Cortez, bro I mean I.
Speaker 1 (55:24):
Think they used it.
Speaker 2 (55:24):
J's not like I don't know they do put it
in the comments, Jose, Jose, We're gonna had a guest
on here.
Speaker 1 (55:32):
You know what, you know what I want? You know
what I want on here. I want Fabian on here,
the translator for the UFC.
Speaker 2 (55:38):
That's gonna be as many guests as I have in
my head for like dream guests to have. Obviously, there's
a list of fighters I want to get referees and
translators on here so.
Speaker 1 (55:47):
Bad as much as anything else.
Speaker 2 (55:50):
Those are the people I have a herb Dean card
on there, yeah, herb Dean, Yeah, but y that's gonna
be UC three seventeen. To go back to it that
there was a lot riding on.
Speaker 1 (56:03):
UFC three fifteen to decide the fate of this card,
and I think that that's why we had to wait
so long.
Speaker 2 (56:07):
I think for a while now they've had these bikes.
There are the bikes. These shots already got me. These
fights have been scheduled for quite some time, and I
think that they were just kind of waiting to see
the one that's the most interesting to me though, And
I feel like he definitely had to train for both.
Eliot Tuporia was put in an interesting spot. I know,
(56:28):
based off of a fight that's going to be forty
days away from when you're gonna fight. You're going to
figure out whether or not you're scrapping against this guy,
and you have to basically decide whether or not you're
going to train for Islam type or Charles type. To
my opinion, a very two different fighters, for sure. I
don't know how this one's going to go. Ilia is
also moving up and wait and I will always back
(56:50):
Charlie Olives, Charles dubroncs olivera so I'm gonna go with
Charles on that one, just off of initial Who knows.
As the fight leads up, it might change my mind.
Ilia has become a fighter. I enjoy watching I'm a
fighter that I will. I also can't doubt the man
anytime he says I will.
Speaker 3 (57:09):
Real strong right now? Yeah, right, yeah, real strong. He's
looking like he should have he belongs in for sure.
He his hands, he's looking like a fucking boxer.
Speaker 1 (57:21):
Yeah when he I don't know.
Speaker 3 (57:23):
He's a very well rounded fighter, and I think that
like regardless of who he was gonna fight, I think
he honestly would have had more trouble with Islam.
Speaker 1 (57:30):
I think he would have had more trouble with Islam.
I think when when.
Speaker 2 (57:33):
This gets a little closer, the strength off the strength
for sure, I think the grappling would have been the problem.
I think when this fight gets closer and maybe odds
start coming out, there's probably already some initial odds. I
think Ilia is going to probably be a favorite if
I had to guess. Charles obviously coming off a win,
but also having a couple of losses before that, and
also the style in which he fights.
Speaker 1 (57:52):
Yeah, you see him get knocked down.
Speaker 2 (57:53):
And then win from like a bullshit submission or like
he gets back up and somehow rally. So i'man who
hunts people down to kill them like Ilia does. I
don't think he's gonna give Charles a whole lot of options, but.
Speaker 3 (58:07):
He's so like poised he is, and olivera is like,
I'm I'm actually happy for the fact that he's getting
a title shot all right too, because I feel like
he's been getting played for the past he has.
Speaker 1 (58:20):
But that was the thing.
Speaker 2 (58:20):
He was supposed to get a title shot back in
like November, and then he got that cut and remember
they had to like postpone it, and then he ended
up fighting Michael Chandler again. So it's been a it's
been a long time comment for him to get his
title back, in my opinion, and that's the way I'm
gonna word it.
Speaker 1 (58:33):
I don't get there's no bias. This is my show.
I don't care shout out Charles olives by the way
he gets that belt.
Speaker 2 (58:38):
I'm gonna have one right here, really hidden hair dyed, blonde,
beard died blonde like he does.
Speaker 1 (58:43):
I'm gonna do the It'll be only two photos.
Speaker 2 (58:48):
We're gonna get Waldo Acosta Quartes because he's the only
Dominican in the UFC, Charles, we.
Speaker 3 (58:53):
Need like a cutout of a cost like someone bro.
Speaker 1 (58:57):
He's you think we can get him on the show.
Where's he from?
Speaker 2 (59:00):
I gotta figure out where he where he resides and
figured it out to be like Waldo Acosta Cortes. By
the way, why salsa boy Dominican, the boy medinga boy, any.
Speaker 1 (59:11):
One of those.
Speaker 3 (59:12):
I think it's his manager probably whoever is manager or
agent or whatever they thought. Whoever is in charge of
marketing him. Is that fault? Yeah? I think he also
is that fault for accepting.
Speaker 1 (59:23):
For accepting it, he should have like planted his foot
and be like, no, it's.
Speaker 2 (59:27):
Waldo Power, Yeah, exactly, heavyweightyweight, literally what I would have Bruce.
Speaker 3 (59:36):
Power. He's literally what I would have been if I
was in the UFC heavyweight division.
Speaker 1 (59:45):
I gotta check when I get home. If he's in
the UC games. I'm gonna just do a career where
he becomes double champ somehow.
Speaker 3 (59:50):
I don't know. We'll see, Oh yeah.
Speaker 1 (59:54):
Alright, p alright, we'll figure it out later when we
When I when I DM where's he from? When I
d m him. We'll ask him. We'll see we get
in the in the eight.
Speaker 3 (01:00:01):
Six projecting right now, we'll do it.
Speaker 1 (01:00:05):
You know. Even better, we'll do an on site interview.
We'll fly to him and we'll be like, all right,
bet we'll pull up to santiago'll have that interview.
Speaker 3 (01:00:12):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:00:12):
But yeah, so three fifteen was good looking forward to
three seventeen. Three sixteen obviously is going to be in
the middle. I'm gonna be making a lot of stone
called Steve Austin jokes.
Speaker 1 (01:00:21):
Who knows.
Speaker 2 (01:00:21):
Maybe we'll wear bald caps, those blackfasts and the gene
shorts for that episode. But I'm thinking the costume.
Speaker 1 (01:00:28):
Is going to be a Vibe.
Speaker 2 (01:00:29):
Oh cool, that'd be really funny. Last shattering and everything.
We'll do an entrance we might actually break when the
glass stories. We'll see it's in the budget. Right guys,
we'll get copyrighted again for that one. It's like fuck,
But shout out to you guys for watching. Shout out
to eight oh six, Shout out to a Vibe Entertainment,
Shout out to Baldwin behind the production desk. Right now,
(01:00:49):
let's think, let's think, let's name shout out nerd gods, Yes, sir,
guys as always shout out, shout out p two phot
soon as I saw soon.
Speaker 3 (01:01:00):
Hell yeah, two courts. We're back at the zoo.
Speaker 2 (01:01:02):
Let's see, let's see big up some blah Mohammed. Even
though he lost, I want to just give him a
shout out. I want to say this, Uh. A lot
of people didn't like him, A lot of people hate him,
A lot of people enjoy to just kind of like
roast him and be that troll on the internet. But
I think he showed why he was a champion. This
might have been his first defense and he unfortunately didn't win,
(01:01:24):
but he definitely showed a lot of heart and I
feel like that's going to be commended maybe doing I'm there,
He's just bro. People, Listen, this is coming from good
like fans of the sport. Like as much as we
like to hate on these guys, people have to understand
they're like they're putting their bodies on the line for
our entertainment, Like these are people going into a cage
to go and like swing for their families. Like this
(01:01:45):
is like, I think this is part of the reason
I like the sport so much. This is this is
as crazy I feel like as you can be to be, like,
I'm gonna go provide for my family, you know what
I'm saying, Like like people don't go to war thinking
that they're gonna go to they go to war. I'm
gonna go defend my country or whatever it might be.
But like in terms of like, let me go put
food on the table for my kids, Getting in a
(01:02:07):
cage in your underwear to scrapple another grown man.
Speaker 1 (01:02:09):
Gotta be up there. Crazy in my opinion, that's gotta
be up there.
Speaker 3 (01:02:12):
That's crazy that you you going and.
Speaker 2 (01:02:14):
Get me for for ten and ten contract, like ten
thousand away, ten thousands to show up like you feel
me like, that's pretty nuts. Shout out to the UC
shout out, Shout out to the Fighters Union that will
never be and as always, shout out to the fans.

watch heat checks, Sunday Conversations. Please check out nerd gods,
anything that a Vibe Entertainment puts out. You know, it's
golden content. Come on, guys, it's us. Shout out straight
to the point. I need more episodes. Guys, I love
the first episode and limits get more content out there.
I did the shout out I think last episode two,
(01:02:58):
so I'm gonna say it again to any north Shore podcasts.
Speaker 1 (01:03:02):
That are out there.
Speaker 2 (01:03:04):
I genuinely don't care what the content is. I want
to collab. I want to get more people known, I
want to see more faces. I want to be able
to like push more content out there. I think that
this podcasting space in the last few years, obviously people know,
is super oversaturated and there's a lot of people that
grab a.
Speaker 1 (01:03:22):
Mic and say all kinds of nonsense stuff. But at
the same time.
Speaker 2 (01:03:26):
It also gives voices to the voiceless. So I want
to give a platform for people to be able to
speak on whatever it might be. Granted, this is an
uneducated MMA show, so mainly we will be talking about MMA,
but at the same time I will show up on
your podcast and I will talk whatever you want to
talk about.
Speaker 1 (01:03:43):
But ask whatever dog.
Speaker 3 (01:03:46):
Tim down to talk about some shit.
Speaker 2 (01:03:48):
You see the tangents we pulled up on here today.
It's every week I feel like we do the same thing.
Speaker 1 (01:03:53):
Shout out Switzerland, Dominicans Reaping, and as always everybody, I
am wonder Bread. This is the b MF Champion r G.
This has been uneducated m m A and we are
out peace
