you know, I mean for those of you that listen
to this podcast regularly, you know I announced an accept

sitting there thinking then other day I was like, dude,
I just I'm just gonna change it all to like
Reverend Drewsky. But uh, I'm know I'm weird about like
I've been like creating content for so long. I'm like
weird about just Willie Nelly's slinging my actual name out
there to the general public.

But somebody asked me about it the other day, is like, oh,
and like I considered starting a separate page and then
being like, oh, here's kind of like my funny videos
in college football.

But then I was thinking, I was like that feels
like hypocritical, like I'm afraid to you know, like I'm
trying to separate them because I'm like afraid or something.

It's like, I'm not afraid.

So I've been thinking about converting everything here lately or whatever,
So converted the utube and all that. But it's wild ride, man.
You know, I've never been a preacher before. I'm just
kind of doing the best I can.

Do, you know, I don't know, it's kind of got
a good ring to it.

Oh yeah, Well, how was your week? Busy? Busy busy?

Like I was going to go through these notes and
and just brush up on them. And brother, I haven't
had time. We've been it's been crazy around here. We've
had the grand our grandson over a couple of times,
bonfires and s'mores with them. We've been going to classes
for our leadership small group leaders that we had to

attend to one on one class for that. Uh, it's
been it's just been a whirlwind, which is kind of
crazy because we went from that lifestyle on the island
of nothing like to do but watch TV or movies
or something, you know, and clean up, and that was
it too. Now it just feels like a whirlwind of everything.

(02:57):
It's just constant going on. You know, we got fans
down in Mexico, We've got dude, there's just so much
going on.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
How about you. Yeah, I mean I.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Do have a praise report or a answer prayer, whatever
you want to call it, but I do. I have
to be careful. I have to be careful about how
I'm how I word it.

But so.

For a long time now, I've been dealing with, you know,
someone that was very very close to me. We we
sort of had a falling out, and to be honest
with you, it is something that you know, I feel
like could have been squashed and just I mean fifteen
minute phone call, maybe a thirty minute phone call, but.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
Uh, you know it just it. At the time, I
did everything.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
I thought I could do, and you know, just past
certain point, I just started praying and basically said, Okay, God, I.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
Don't know what else to do in this situation. I'm
just going to trust you, and you.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Know, just pray for both sides and just you know,
and it was a very tough season for me because
it was like, you know, I cared a lot about
this person, and.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
You know, it just I've never I'm not the type
of person. I don't have beef.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Very often with you know, or whatever you want to
call it with with people that I care about, you know.
And so some time went by, and then this week
we were able to not only reconcile and squash everything,
but we were able to do it and just a
biblical way, just one on one without any you know

(04:49):
whatever's and it's about a four hour conversation, and it
was just it was a huge weight lifted off from me, man,
because you know, I just you know, I care about people.
But you know, with UP, I mean, like I said,
without going into detail, and again, you know, we me

(05:09):
and Chris like we want this podcast to be real
and authentic to brawl, and you know, we try to
talk about like our daily lives and stuff. But you know,
this is a public podcast, right, so it's like, you know,
we try to protect privacy for those that you know,
don't necessarily give us direct consent or whatever. But yeah,

(05:31):
it's just it was just one of those things, man.
You know, essentially it was a misunderstanding.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
On both parts.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
You know, there's other people sort of involved.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
I think that may or may not have liked just whatever.
I don't want to say drama, but.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
Whatever drama or you know, whatever fallout, it's just entertainment,
you know. And but yeah, dude, I was able to
direct them saw that and that was really one of
the only things in my life that right now that
I'm just like.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
I wish that this particular thing could be better.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
So that was awesome, a huge God moment for me,
huge answered prayers, you know, and just it, you know, man,
like just the Bible, dude, it is so.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
People can say whatever they want about it. But dude,
the more.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
I apply this Bible to my life, the better my
life becomes.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
And I'm just God's good all the time.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
And just I was sitting there thinking about how anointed
this whole process has become mine of your friendship, just
this podcast, everything that's come out of it, and it's like, dude,
you know, I just felt like God has really just
had his hand over like both of our wives and
then but it's like our families, lives and just everything.

(07:00):
But that was a huge weight lifted off of me.
And uh, I've been you know, I felt like, oh
I can take a breath, you know. So that was
that was a big answer prayer for me. Yeah, praise God. Man.

Speaker 4 (07:13):
That's always good when you can take an awkward situation
like that and reconcile it and actually bring it back
around to being a healthy relationship again. There's nothing better
than that because you know, as Christians, we hate to
have anybody dislike us or have a grudge against us.

(07:34):
That's the last thing we want. You know, what do
we do wrong? How can we make it right? And
it's always a blessing when when the person on the
opposite end receives that and decides that, you know what, yeah,
let's let's get past this and move forward.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
And yeah, and it's sorry I'm hearing to nako.

Uh but uh yeah, you know, like you said, it's
it's just one of those things man that you know,
it's an unfortunate part of life. But as as Christians,
you know, you know, if we have differences or issues,
you know, we should be able to squash it. And
it was a very hard season, but man, it was

I'm very thankful that God.

Allowed me to go through that.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
You know, we talked about that, I believe on the
last episode about sometimes God will allow you to go
through things and I learned a lot of just really
good lessons. To be honest with you, I don't I
wouldn't say that this happened specifically for the lessons I

learned per se, But I think God makes all things good.
And like my faith was strong, you know at the time,
like my walk wasn't as close as it is now.
And I hope every year, right, I can say that, like,
oh dude, last year my walk was, I'm as close
as it. Like I hope that it just I get

(09:03):
closer and closer. But like, you know, it really allowed
me time just to spend there's a lot of you know,
like isolation and just I found way more time to pray,
way more time to read my Bible. And I think
a lot of times, like what we were talking about, right, like,
you know, the Christian as soon as you become a believer,

(09:25):
it's not gonna be honky dory all the time. But
those struggles and stuff that we go through is just
an awesome chance because like when you're going through the
thick of it. Nine times out of ten, you're gonna
read the Bible more, you're gonna pray more, you're.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
Gonna seek God more.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
And and I'm I've tried to really balance that to
like thank God for the blessings and when things are
going great.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
Just consistently thank Him, and then when they go bad.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
To see the good in it. And do you know
my faith is grown so much because of it. So
it's like, I'm it sounds weird if you're not a
believer and you're listening this, it sounds weird, But like
I'm thankful that God allowed me to go through that struggle, man,
because it really helped mortify my faith.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
Absolutely, let me read you a verse here Matthew five
twenty three and twenty four. Therefore, if you're offering your
gift at the altar and there, remember that your brother
or sister has something against you. Leave your gift there
in front of the altar. First, go and be reconciled
to them, then come and offer your gift. So as Christians,

(10:42):
whenever we have a tiff with somebody or something that
you know, rubbed us wrong, we before we go before
God and ask for the things that we want, we
should go and reconcile that with our brother or sister because.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
We need to get our parents well.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
And Matthew, I believe it's Matthew fifteen talks about you know,
if you had we covered this at one point. Yeah,
I can't remember. I think we were talking about anger
or whatever. But one, it's one of my favorite verses,
and I really I kick back to it a lot.

It's Galatians six one.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
Sorry, these Camo tabs are not the best in uh
low light, but it's one of my favorite verses. And
I try to really hold onto this. But Galatians six
to one, Oh nope, I flipped over to the feats.
Those tiny little books right there. Man, they're all just
nestled together. But it's one of my favorite verses and

it's something that I really try to, you know, hold
on to. But Galatians six' one basically, Says, brethren if
a man is overtaken in any, drespass you are, spiritual
restore such a one in the spirit of gent considering
yourself lest you be, tempted bear one another's brother, burdens
and so fulfill the law of. Crust and Then matthew

(12:07):
fifteen talks about you, know how you know essentially you
should go to, that like if somebody sends, again you
go to them in, private try to. Reconcile if that doesn't,
work you, know basically to then maybe go get a
couple of, elders a couple of, witnesses. Whatever but you,
know after, that it talks about how you know it's

(12:29):
good to do that because then it's, like, okay you
know you instead of losing and you know, somebody you
gain a brother In christ or. Whatever so but, yeah,
man it's just it's it's been a it's been a
wild rob but LIKE i, Said i'm thankful that it.

HAPPENED i think that instances like that can actually strengthen a.
Relationship you, know when you've had a falling out and
then you've come back together again to reconcile and you
you get that taken care.

OF i think it can cause even a stronger. Bond,
YEAH i. Agree so now they also have a prayer.
Quest BUT i was going to give you a chance
to wrap up any any anything else you wanted to
wrap up with with the just a week or.

Anything oh, man we're just we're my wife AND i
are very. Blessed it's like you, said you, know we're
going through trials right, now we're going through, tribulation which
is part of the.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
Walk BUT i know.

Speaker 4 (13:32):
That no matter how hard the struggle, gets or no
matter how hard the walk, GETS i know That god
is working behind the. Scenes so you were, saying you,
KNOW i rejoice when when things are going.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
Great, yeah who.

Speaker 4 (13:45):
Doesn't But i've also found myself rejoicing when things are
tough BECAUSE i know that it's for my better. GOOD
i know that on the other end of whatever is,
happening whatever we're going, through that when we, persevere then
we are going to get. Rewarded so when when we're

(14:06):
in persecution or trials or, tribulations it's you got to
give thanks because there's something great that's going to come
out of. That and the harder the, trials the harder
the life, gets the bigger the lesson and the bigger.

The reward at the end is kind of Where i'm
at on. That SO i, mean.

Speaker 4 (14:26):
Does it, Suck, yeah it, does you, know and it's,
hard and people probably if you're not a believer listening to,
this maybe even believers listening to, this are, like how
could you rejoice in a time of trial and a
hard time in.

Speaker 3 (14:41):
Life and it's because you if you.

Speaker 4 (14:45):
Know christ and you've surrendered To him and you Have
him in your, heart and especially if you read Your
bible every, day you know it says it all throughout The.
Bible all these people go through these trials and at
the other end of it is something great for. Them
you just have to keep your faith during those.

Trials, YEAH i Mean god will restore it and he
will make all things.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
New and in most cases it's going to.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
Be better than it even was, before you.

Speaker 3 (15:13):
Know and that's kind of HOW i feel here. LATELY i, mean.

Speaker 4 (15:18):
In tennessee on the, farm not much walking with, faith
and then going through the trials that we've gone through
From tennessee To portugal to here To portugal back to here.
AGAIN i JUST i know that there's something big being

(15:38):
built on the other. END i cannot wait to see
what The lord is going to do in our lives
when we get through these trials and everything actually starts
falling into place again for us and we can settle
down and actually start living a life of you, know
being situated, somewhere not on the.

Move, well and like.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
You, SAID i think you're you're at that point as,
well where you know you're you're.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
Kind of in.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
Between you you're sort of closing the end of one
season and then you're you're kind of in between this
season and the, next you, know, yep and that makes.

It, hard you, know, yeah makes it hard for.

Everybody but LIKE i, said you got to just push
through the trials and know that's WHERE i think that's
where a lot of our, faith this test at a
big time is in the. Trials because it would be
so easy to Say i'm done with. This i've tried.
It it doesn't work out for me very. Well it's

too hard for. ME i don't want to struggle like,
this so you know, What i'm just going to go
back to living HOWEVER i want to live BECAUSE i
know what's best for. Me but, SEE i know that's a.
LOT i Know i'm lying to myself about. That SO
i have to trust in The lord AND i have
to keep that strict face. Strong AND i think that
when you come through these trials drew on the other,

end your face your faith is, double you.

Know just you feel so.

You're, like, WOW i made, it and you know what
The lord carried me through. That now That i'm more
on MAD i can look back and see where he
was taking.

ME i can see the road. Map so, yeah just just. Excited.

Man we're we know The lord's, working we know it's his.
TIME i say this every, episode but it's true and
we have. To here's a crazy THING i thought about
the other. Day tell me what your thought on this.
Is you, know there's a lot of sayings about you,
know we're waiting On. God you Know god's timing is.
Perfect there's even a song we will wait on The.
Lord what if it's The lord waiting on? Us, okay

The lord's telling, me but maybe we haven't got the.
Lesson maybe we haven't learned what we're supposed to be.
Learning so it's Not, god it's us until we submit
and we learn whatever lesson it. Is he's thrown at.
Us he's not going to move. Us so is he
waiting on us or are we waiting on? HIM i
think it goes both.

Ways that's really interesting because, like that's SOMETHING i guess you.
DON'T i wouldn't have never really thought about it because it's, like,
WELL i, mean you, know most of the time you're Like, Okay,
God i'm waiting on.

Of those things that's a very deep question THAT i
would actually have to ponder on because it's, like BUT
i think you're. RIGHT i think there's times Where god's, Like,
okay here it, Is i'm lading in front of.

You what are you going to do about? It you?
Know the answer is. There you.

Know it's kind of like the whole thing with like
people always say the teacher is always the most quiet
during the, test you, know so it's, like you, know
like you, SAID i think sometimes he just waits on
you to, move just to see what you're gonna.

Do but, yeah that's that's a very like WHAT i would,
say captivating.

QUESTION i was actually sitting in the living room night
before last thinking about, that that we will wait upon
The lord came, on AND i was thinking about. THAT
i was, like you, know maybe sometimes The lord waits on.
Us he's waiting for us to get the. Point he's
waiting for us to figure it, out work it out
and make that right step in the right, direction and

then he takes over. Again but we have sometimes we
have to make that, MOVE i, Think and, yeah that's
this could be a whole other.

went to the hospital three times in two. Days initially
thought he was having a heat, stroke that's what the
doctors kind of.

Said ended up going. Back and he's a younger.

Guy.

Late.

Twenties but there there's several things that they're floating around
that it might.

Be but, essentially from What i've gathered.

Now i've tried to talk to, him check in on
him every, day but from what I'VE i can, gather
it seems like.

There's something heart.

Related whether it's out of scene rhythms meant that there's
just something going on. There and he's the type of
guy who And i've told him this, before AND i
know he'll listen to this episode at some, point sometimes gets,
behind But i've told him before THAT i think that
he could be just an absolute warrior For god and

eventually just lead so many people To christ because he's
just that type of. Guy he's just, honest real and
loves The lord and. Stuff BUT i mean he's just
had LIKE i, mean.

that the devil really and it's not that you, know
me and you or anybody else inting more or less,
special BUT i really think The, lord, sorry not The.

LORD i think the enemy.

Attacks certain people the strongest because they know that the
impact that they're going to, have and so but, YEAH
i JUST i, mean he's just going through right. Now
he's out of, work trying to figure out what's going,

pray for him because you, know he's JUST i, mean

he's just going through right.

I definitely want to put him on on my. Prayers
and really that's the only that's the only major prayer
request THAT i have right.

All, right as far as, me, yeah it's my Son
tristan coming. Back he's still trying to work up enough
money to get here and then if you could pray
for us to you, know this is our first time
being a small group, leaders, dude to something new for
both of. Us and LIKE i was telling you, before

it's not like it's just a like one season, commitment
like they want you to commit to four or five
years of this to follow these students all the way
through high. School and we just found out for the
first time we actually have some graduated high schoolers in
college that have signed up to come back and be
leaders For rush as.

Just prayers that that That i'm able, to especially, me
connect with some of these kids and actually make an
impact BECAUSE i have not had success with that in the.

different path, now SO i THINK i, think you, KNOW
i think you'll, HONESTLY i think you'll do really good,
man just especially that middle school.

AGE i, mean you just never know what these kids
are going.

Through BUT i mean having a extra father or mother
figure kind of in their life goes a long.

Way but, yeah for.

trial he knows that something good has come of. It
but we just pray for peace and, comfort and we
pray that the, doctors you just guide them in the
direction they need to, go that they can quickly figure
