Green Children of Woolpit

England has a long and rich history of folklore which includes enchanting tales of strange events, otherworldly creatures, people with supernatural powers and unknown forces. One of the most fascinating tales is certainly the one about the green children of Woolpit. The earliest texts concerning the legend are by William from Newburgh and Ralph from Coggeshall, and date back to the late 12th century.
