getting you guys locked and loaded ready for today's action
again on the college basketball slate. So, Ronnie, like I
said before, college basketball is heating up. Teams are getting good,

(04:14):
They're doing better than we expected. And like I said,
you know, shout out to Illinois last night taking down
my alma mater Purdue. So when we look at some
of these teams that we saw in action last night,
just to give you a quick recap before we get
into today's action, are we beginning to see some of
the cream of the crop last to the top, and
are we beginning to see some of the bad teams

(04:34):
start to fade away, maybe even n type bids things
like that.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
Go ahead, Ronny, Yeah, well you're gonna start seeing the
season come to an end for a lot of teams.
But last night when you mentioned that Illinois Perdue game,
what I've been telling you all the years at home
court and the Big ten is tough to overcome. And
Illinois proved it last night going on a thirteen and
old run to end the game to win by eight.
So right, it's tough on the road, especially a senior

(05:02):
night last night for Illinois. And that's what you'll see
a lot of today. I'm sure we'll talk about that.
You got senior nights for a lot of teams today.
So when the season comes to an end, the home
teams are tough, you got to lean that.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
Way, Gotta look at them, especially if they're in the
dog position. And again, today's games have been brought to
you by our friends over at Fubo TV.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Don't get cabled. Get Fubo TV.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Fifteen percent off, no deposit, no credit check, no installation,
and most importantly, no contract. Okay, you can get in
and get where you want to be. So I'm pulling
up a couple of games today. Like I said, we've
got a full slate. I'm just gonna go ahead and
give it out while I let these rotation numbers load up.
Vanderbilt versus Georgia, this is an interesting matchup. Vanderbilt has

(05:43):
been one of those programs that the nil era has
been very very good to them. They have been improved
in football. Their basketball team now is looking to be
a bubble team. I think if they win today against Georgia,
who's played some really good bad fotball two back to
back wins over Florida and Texas, Vanderbilt is able to

(06:04):
get that win today. Plus one to ninety rotation number
six oh one the Vanderbilt Commodores heading down to Athens.
Rotation number six oh two the Georgia Bulldogs minus five
and a half, minus two to twenty five total is
one of fifty here, Ronnie b When you talk about
that type of total, seventy five points a game for
both of these teams, neither one of them are known
for explicit defense, if you will. And I'm looking at

(06:27):
Vanderbilt here as a road dogs because it's not that
far to travel. And this is two teams that are
evenly matched up, and you know, I like working with
these teams that are playing well as a dog five
and a half. Do you think that's close enough for
Vanderbilt and you think maybe they can take that money
line today Georgia again, two big wins. I'm looking at
possibly a letdown today.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
Go ahead.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
Well, I kind of agree with you with the letdown
theory here, but there's gotta be a reason we got
Georgia plus or minus five and a half when these
two teams, as you say, are pretty evenly messed. When
you look at the stats, everything is almost identical. So
I think you got a couple guys out for Vanderbilt though,
both guards, so that could be an issue on ball
handling and bringing the ball down and protecting the ball,

(07:09):
stay away from turnovers. But for Georgia to be laying
five and a half, it's got to be the home
court advantage. It's got to be that senior night stuff
going on. And they're fourteen and three at home, so
they play strong ball at home. So I'm going to
stay away from this game to be with you here, JB.
But I kind of agree with you. It should be

(07:30):
an evenly match game. But some reason those points scare.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
Me, all right, the points scaring a lot of people here.
I haven't seen it on a lot of boards. Let's
talk about the totals. Looking at the statue, got Vanderbilt
averaging about eighty points a game, Georgia averaging about seventy
five points a game. So you've got an average that's
telling you money line again, back to that third grade mathematics.
Vanderbilt has been playing some good ball already, have twenty wins.

(07:53):
Georgia again though at home looking dangerous at nineteen and
eleven Senior night, trying to get that win, to get
over the twenty win hump for them as well, it
should be a very interesting matchup situation coming into seating
in the field of sixty four. But when we talk
about where Vanderbilt is right now in the middle eight
and eight in the conference, this is also a conference

(08:14):
game for them, so for them to get some conference
seating improvement for the SEC tournament. Still looking at that
dog Barkin talking about that total though, as well. Do
you think we get a good game today a lot
of offense. Do we see defense pick up getting closer
to their tournament or is it just going to be
continually moving along the train here for Georgia get picking
up another win, going three and zero the last three weeks.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
Go ahead, Ronnie, Well, with.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
Both of these teams move at a decent pace. They
both shoot the ball fairly similar with field goal percentage,
three point percentage, free throws, they're both pretty decent seventy plus.
I think you're going to see a pace that's going
to keep this total. I'm going to lean to the
over with this one. Their first game was landed on

(09:00):
You sit up here to one forty nine and a
half from what I see right now, so the bookmakers
are thinking the same way. I'm thinking right now that
this game is going to be a little bit towards
the fast paced senior night. It's going to be a
little bit more scoring.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
There you go.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
Let's move along to another game here on the line.
I'm still sticking with Vanderbilt for that game.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
People.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
Again, they're a tough team, they play good ball. This
would be an exciting matchup. Looking for an over today
as well, I've got it at one fifty. Oh my board,
Ronnie Bee says, one forty nine and a half. I
think it's going to be one of those games that
really plays towards the crowd. The home crowd is going
to have Georgia matched up well, and Vanderbilt's going to
come in there again looking to solidify their position, not

(09:40):
only for the SEC because they're only eight and eight
in the conference. Okay, that's the one thing I worry
about with Vanderbilt. But if they can get that extra
win today on the road at Georgia, who again, I'm
thinking is a possible letdown With those two big wins,
even though it's at home Senior Day, Vanderbilt could play spoiler.
But let's talk about it. Rotation number six oh three,
Saint John's. Wow, want to turn around? You talk about

(10:02):
the nil era. You're talking about the guy that made
the nil era, Rick Fatino.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
This guy has been.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
Doing super things over at Saint John's. Got the Johnny's
back end, Big East champions again, shout out Saint John's.
They've been playing some great basketball. But when I look
at where they're at today, Ronnie, the question that I
have for you is this, how do you decide to
take Saint John's on the road because they're adults, a

(10:29):
good team they're matching up against today in Marquette. Rotation
number six ZHO three Saint John's heading out to Milwaukee
to play the Marquette Golden Eagles. This one is interesting.
You got Saint John's in the dalk position plus four
and a half plus five. I've seen it in a
few places, and when you talk about good teams going
on the road traveling a bit far this late in

(10:50):
the season, three and a half is where I see
it at right now for Marquette at home twenty two
and eight. Marquette is no slouts. This will be a
test for Saint John's and right now they can to
get any more losses late in the season. How do
you see this one shaking out? I'm looking at Saint
John's here as maybe a dog play. I liked it
at five and a half three and a half. It's

(11:11):
coming down. Saint John's has been tested on the road
twenty six and four. Very good team. But again Marquette
another one of those home games, big time. They should
be a dog in my position with Saint John's being
the better team. But if you can get value with
Saint John's on the road, will you take it today?

Speaker 1 (11:28):
Go ahead, Ronnie, Well, I'll tell you what.

Speaker 4 (11:30):
This line opened up one and a half Marquette, but
I think we have a few injuries out there. I
think Devon Smith for Saint Johns's out there starting guard
average is about thirteen points a game. That's big. With
you lose your starting guard, that's big, and I think
that's why the line is moved up a little bit here.
But Marquette at home is very, very difficult to beat.

(11:52):
Let's see here, it's Saint John's played last time they
lost to Marquette at Saint Johns seventy say oh no,
Marquette lost seventy to sixty four. So this is a
little bit of a revenge game here. And in that game,
I think Marquette or Saint John's I'm sorry again, they
controlled the boards, out rebounded. I'm huge, like forty three

(12:13):
to twenty one or something like that, the big rebounding it.
So for this line again to move, the bookmakers are
looking at the home court again. We're talking senior night,
and I think the main thing is is that Smith
the guard is out. So I'm gonna lean Marquette here.
I'm gonna lay the points. I'm a Saint Johns fan.
As I said, I liked them making the final four.

(12:33):
I got a future ticket, But today, with that main
guard out, I'm gonna give Marquette the home court advantage.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
Given Marquette that home court advantage, I'm worried about Saint
john today again as well on the road. But if
you talk about a close game at three and a
half plus one sixty on the money line, you gotta
look at totals, you gotta look at stats. And as
I pull it up here, I see Saint John's averages
about seventy eight points a game. That's a money line
when to mark Cat seventy six points a game.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
Rebounds are way.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
Away above for Saint John's forty five to thirty seven
for Marquette. Assists maybe one and a half more for
Saint John's. But if they've got a guard out, I
do think that Saint John's has enough players on that
roster that can fill in, so I don't think that
will be as big of an issue. Patino seems to
have his lineup set for next year as well, so

(13:27):
when you talk about it going back to Marquette here,
looking at that total of one forty four, looks like
a slight over is in play here.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
Ronnie B. How you see that one chaking out here.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
Yeah, I'd lean to the over here as well, because,
as you said, Saint John's has the advantage on the boards,
and they're very strong on the offensive board, and that's
one of Marquette's weaknesses. So I think we can see
some quick second chance points coming for Saint John's in
this game. So the total for me would lean to
the over. And you're probably gonna have some miscues when
you're missing your starting guards, smister Smith, so look for

(14:01):
some trouble, but look for some easy baskets as well,
So that over would be my play.

Speaker 3 (14:05):
Yeah, I think the over is gonna be good in
this game. Marquette, though they do play decent defense, when
you take a look at some of their stats, Marquette
plays a very balanced brand of basketball. When I look
at some of their wins over the last couple of
weeks from February till here, we've seen this score sixty
nine fifty five, sixty two to thirty seven win over

(14:27):
Xavier could be an under here. I don't want to
say Saint John's can't run away with this score and
play some great basketball, but this is a really tough
game to handicap. I'm gonna look at it as a
possible slight under just because of that defensive capability of Marquette.
They play very very tight basketball, Ryannie Bee. And when

(14:48):
you talk about that win over Xavier, a team that
has played very well February twenty seven, they held Xavier
to thirty seven points. So it's gonna be very very
interesting to see how it matches up. We're gonna take
our first break, Ronnie. We're doing pretty good so far.
We've got two games on the books. I'm liking Vanderbilt
in that dog position, Ronnie Bee, staying off of that
things it can possibly go over when they play Georgia

(15:10):
Saint John's. He's liking Marquette with the tighter number minus
three and a half, minus two and a half, depending
on where you can get it. Ronnie Bee is looking
at the over. I'm looking at the under just because
Marquette seems to play a brand of basketball that says
keep away. We make a layup, play keep away, but
go ahead. Give a couple of quick shout outs, and
I'll take this break.

Speaker 1 (15:28):

Speaker 3 (18:08):
Keep my phone off early in the morning. Don't want

be back at you live here with me JB. The
Ticket Vegas Scoreboard Express one of the longest running sports
betting shows as well, Ronnie B. You know we started
off doing little podcast out of like a small basement
back in the middle of nowhere. My may man Marques,
he just came in this morning, see him running through.

(18:30):
So we're still building this thing up, man. And like
I said before, you advertisers out there, you got to
get into the sports game with me now, because when
the price goes up, oh well, and it will be
going up. But let's get back into these picks here,
Ronnie B. Let's take a look at this one interesting matchup,
going back to the sec rotation number six nine. The
Kentucky Wildcats seem to be picking up the pace late

(18:53):
here in the season, going up against Missouri the Tigers.
This one's gonna be a cat fight rotation number six
one zero. Now Missouri again at home minus six and
a half. You got to take a look at it
from that perspective of you're seeing some very good teams
today in dog positions, and when you look at Kentucky
kind of on a little bit of a surge here,
do you think some value is going to show up

(19:14):
for these guys today when you look at them possibly
being able to give you six and a half seven
in this cat fight on the road plus two twenty
three on the money line as well, win by one,
lose by none, a total of one to seventy. Ronnie B,
how do you see this's been shaken out? I know
you were kind of down on Kentucky, but they seem
to have improved over the last couple of weeks go ahead.

Speaker 4 (19:34):
Well, but they've improved a little bit. There's still five
and five in their last ten games. Both teams here
Missouri as well, but they feed each other up in
the SEC. But here's the set that I liked that
I've watched Missouri play, I watched Kentucky play, and what
stands out with me Missouri. They have some great shooters.
They got it. Probably one of the best shooters in
the country on their team there, and they're eighteen and

(19:56):
one at home JB. That's a tough thing to overcome here.
That's why that line keeps creeping up. At six and
a half is what I'm looking at right now, and
I think it's going to be a shootout. I like
the home team covering and I like the over at
one seventeen and a half. So I'm not going to
play both of those because I never like to mix
the total end the side and the game bet. But

(20:18):
I'm going to lean towards the home favorite here on
Senior night and at home court and probably finish up
the season nineteen and one little revenge game two Kentucky
beat him in January.

Speaker 1 (20:29):
Yes nineteen and one.

Speaker 3 (20:30):
Talking about a tough matchup, evenly match though, twenty and
ten for Kentucky. Kentucky's back in the top twenty five
at number nineteen. You know they would get some votes
towards the end of the season. But Missouri a little
bit ahead of them at number fifteen. Minus two sixty
seven here minus six and a half. I think Kentucky
is coming in and they're thinking we're gonna spoil senior

(20:52):
night here. That's a big spread for these guys to play. Now,
Missouri again very strong at home. They've got four guys
in double figures, close to it at least Robinson's nine
point four. But you look at Kentucky, that roster's loaded
six guys and double figures. Okay, away Robinson, Butler, Brelle, Williams,

(21:12):
and Carr. So I'm looking at the dog hero on
the road to play some basketball. I want the SEC
Tournament to be a strong tournament, okay, But I don't
want that tournament to end up being one of those
situations where you end up having the same team play
the same team four or five times, and then Kentucky
gets the bid and somehow the other teams in the
NIT Kentucky's got to continue to show that they're making

(21:34):
some improvement.

Speaker 1 (21:35):
Today, Missouri needs another loss at home.

Speaker 3 (21:37):
Sorry it has to be on Senior night, but I'm
going with the Wildcat today just to get inside of
that spread.

Speaker 1 (21:42):
Though.

Speaker 3 (21:42):
Give you the points plus six and a half, they
should be able to win this game. Okay, what I've
been seeing with Kentucky when you look at these two teams,
you got Missouri eighty four points a game, Kentucky eighty
five points a game. That's why I say win by one,
lose by none. Do I think it can go over today?
It's going to depend on the defensive effort being put out.
Remember we got the SEC tournament coming up, and some

(22:03):
people say these games are.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
Meaningless and all that nonsense. I don't think so.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
You got to wake up early in the morning to
get the money here. But Ronnie, be your thoughts on
that total because we're looking at about one sixty nine here. Okay,
one sixty nine, maybe one seventy total one seventy two.
Do you think the sports books are trying to juice
that total a little bit to get people to try
to go over. I know you like the over, but
when I'm looking at it, I'm saying it should be

(22:29):
a little bit more defense played today, and Kentucky kind
of has the edge on the defensive side, and Missouri
doesn't have that much offensive firepower to keep up with Kentucky.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
If they can get hot, go ahead.

Speaker 4 (22:40):
Well, I'm going to disagree a little bit here on
the firepower because I'm looking at somebody sets or Missouri has.
They have won two, three, four guys that shoot over
fifty percent JB. They got three of them that shoot
over forty percent from three point range, and that Cameron Grill.
He's a fire plug man. He averages about fifteen sixteen
points a game, and he fires from thirty forty feet

(23:02):
with no problem. So I think it's gonna be a
fast faced, high scoring game. I really do. I don't
think there's gonna be any problem putting points on the board.
It's you know, who's gonna stay away from the turnovers?
Is gonna decide the winner?

Speaker 3 (23:14):
There, you go, stand away from those turnovers. The consensus here,
I'm gonna take this slide over because of you, Ronnie.
I'm gonna put that on my superticket.

Speaker 1 (23:22):
Here.

Speaker 3 (23:22):
Let's move along to another team that has been slightly
disappointing over the last couple of weeks.

Speaker 1 (23:27):
Don't know what's going on with them.

Speaker 3 (23:28):
The Alabama Crimson tied rotation number six of forty three,
going out to Auburn again. Another battle for the state
of Alabama. Quite a few state battles here. I'm looking
on my list. I got Houston and Baylor coming up
on the line up. But here, let's talk about it.
Alabama plus two seventy This is a dog that's been
barking on the spread for the last couple of weeks.

(23:50):
Plus eight's a big number. I say jump all over
with Alabama. They got to dig up a win today, man.
And when you talk about what's happening with Auburn, this
is the team that again nobody's talking about them. They're
beating all comers. They're a very good team. But you
got Alabama who was looking to make some noise and
they've already fallen out of the top five, which I.

Speaker 1 (24:08):
Told you that would happen.

Speaker 3 (24:10):
I told you first. But they're still in the top ten.
Alabama's are very very good dog. I think that'll get
taken out of the pound today and get them win.
Auburn is a good team. Twenty seven and two number
one in the country. They need a loss, Ronnie be
go ahead, Well.

Speaker 4 (24:31):
I don't think Auburn is going to lose today. Okay,
I'm gonna stick with the Tigers. Here again we're looking, yeah,
we're looking at that home record. Again. It's thirteen and one.
Alabama's coming off to very very bad games. Games they
played well, they played hard, but they played against Florida
and got beat and they played against Tennessee and I

(24:53):
had Tennessee that day unfortunately that last second shot. But
they still lost the games at Tennessee on the roads.
So this is back to back cup ones and now
your Cohen going on the road to Auburn, number one
team in the nation. I'm gonna take the number one
team and lay the point.

Speaker 3 (25:09):
He's like, I'm taking the pints and I'm going to sleep.
Everything you said, though, in my opinion, the analysis leans
Alabama as the dogs, at least in the point. You're
talking about minus eight here. You think Alabama's just gonna
lay down and end out of the top ten. Coming
into tournament season, they were a possible one or two seed.
Now we're in that three or four seed area, maybe

(25:31):
even a five seed depending on how they do. In
the SEC Tournament. But you still like Auburn to cover
the eight. You want to buy that back a little bit,
shave it down, and you think Auburn's going to do
well here with Bruce Carl and the boys.

Speaker 4 (25:43):
No, I'm not gonna buy it down. I'm gonna leave
it great work there. Yeah, we're gonna go to this
senior night. You got four or five guys on Auburn
that are seniors, which is almost unheard of in today's basketball.
So I think they're gonna play their last home game,
you know, all out in the I don't think it's
gonna be as close as people think. I think Alabama's
been getting too much love from a lot of people

(26:05):
because they score points, but Auburn will shut them down
and they're big underneath. I just think Series is gonna
have a tough time today, and I think Auburn w'll
roll today.

Speaker 3 (26:14):
He thinks Auburn's gonna roll. We gotta disagree on this.
When I'm taking Alabama in the points roll tide. They
got to get something done again. These guys have been
playing very good basketball from the perspective of playing Alabama basketball.
It just hasn't been winning basketball. And for the Battle
of the State role Tide versus War Eagle, it's gonna
be a big time game. So let's give a quick

(26:36):
look at this total here. When I looked at it,
I said, well, you know, defense isn't really either one
of these teams strong suit, but you got a huge
total here, one seventy eight and a half. Okay, we're
talking about teams that normally score one hundred points. Though
it is possible. Well, Alabama have to put up another
triple digit performance today to get a win, and even

(26:57):
if they do, we've seen some things go awry for them.
And if they do that, can Auburn keep up with
that pace?

Speaker 1 (27:03):
Total? One seventy eight big number?

Speaker 3 (27:05):
History says over, Alabama's got a play hard. That also
says over, But if Auburn just plays some simple defense
and gets a win here, for all the three minus
three thirty betters, it could be tough to get to
that one seventy eight.

Speaker 10 (27:18):
Go ahead, Well, they just played in February fifteenth, and
the line landed right on one seventy nine, So I
think that's why the makers are keeping the numbers right there.

Speaker 4 (27:29):
And the Auburn won by nine. So again, we're keeping
the numbers right where they were. I don't think they
know what to expect either, so they're going off of
history here. But I think it'll be a run and
gun game for both teams here today. You know Alabama's
going to run and gun and Auburn plays tough underneath,
so I think I'll get a lot of second chance
points underneath with Broom there. So he's been under the
weather a little bit, so we'll see if his last

(27:51):
home game brings him out. He's trying to win Player
of the Year over Cooper Flag, so we'll see what
happens here. But I think Auburn is going to score
there as many points as Alabama, plus a few more.
That's why I'm leaning towards taking the home team here.

Speaker 3 (28:05):
Taking the home team in the over. Let's move down
to another team that has been playing some really good
basketball and getting some really wild unders. Talking about those
Houston Cougars. Man, when you bet these guys that go
over costed me a couple of dollars to pass a
couple of weeks because I figured that these guys would
be playing basic, basic basketball.

Speaker 1 (28:23):
Ronnie Bee.

Speaker 3 (28:24):
I'm talking the most basic basketball that you could expect
and the next thing that I know, there's no opportunity
to get paid.

Speaker 1 (28:31):
Everybody's like, oh my goodness, what.

Speaker 3 (28:33):
Happened, and I'm like, well, they're playing defense, That's what happened.
Talking about Houston going out to play Baylor today, while
I pull up that rotation number, Houston is a team
that again number three, twenty five, and four. Are they
a regular season darling to fall apart in the tournament
or do you think they're complete this year? Do you

(28:54):
think that defensive scheme that Samson is running down there
can get them at least to the sweet sixteen. If
they get to the sweet sixteen, they got a chance
to hit the final four this year. But are we
going to see another early mid round disappointment with these guys?

Speaker 1 (29:07):
I worry.

Speaker 3 (29:07):
And the only reason why I say I worry is
when you rely a lot on defense, and let's say
a team figures out how to break that defense, and
I think they got a chance of maybe seeing that
happen today with Baylor, is it a viable opportunity to
take a look at a total where you're always looking
at under one forty with these guys, Go ahead, while pull.

Speaker 4 (29:24):
That up, Well, you'd be better off taking them under
one forty all the time, that's for sure. I like
them playing I like playing them the first half under
the total because they come out with strong legs and
they full core pressure NonStop. They don't let up off
of you. They're a very good defensive team, one of
the best. I think they ranked second. I don't even
know who's ranked first above them. To be honest with you, No,

(29:47):
Houston is tough. I think they're a team you put
your coins on all through the tournament. I think they
can make it to the final four this year, and
I don't think they'll have any slip ups on the
way either. The way they play ball, I think that
defense is going to be what you want to bet
on in the tournament.

Speaker 3 (30:02):
There you go, Rotation number seven, twenty seven, the Houston Cougars.
They're going down to play Baylor Rotation number seven twenty eight. Now,
this is one of those interesting matchups because Houston is
only priced at minus four.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
Total is one thirty one.

Speaker 3 (30:16):
Again, and remember I told you about this, it's a
low price. I mean, what's the score going to be
thirty five thirty six? I mean, come on, we got
to figure something out here minus one seventy five for
Houston at a minus four, that's expensive.

Speaker 1 (30:32):
It doesn't seem to match up cash wise.

Speaker 3 (30:34):
I think a minus four on the road should at
least cost you minus one thirty five minus one forty.
But nevertheless, you got Baylor giving you plus one fifty
at home. You think that home advantage works out for
Baylor today to maybe sneak out a win. You got
these over under and a half total of sixty three
and sixty seven as well, Rynnie b Houston is known
for their defense. This total I talked about again today

(30:57):
one thirty one, some of the lowest totals we've seen season,
And if you want to play total side, maybe you
can get that. But if Baylor comes out again trying
to get some matchups in the Big twelve tournament to
give themselves a little bit more juice here, could we
see an over Can these guys give me seventy points
a piece?

Speaker 1 (31:15):
Maybe? Yes? No, go ahead, I don't think so.

Speaker 4 (31:18):
Today. I think you're looking at two teams that run
a slow pace offense, and actually Baylor ranks two hundred
and eighties in the pace in Houston is three hundred.
I think there's only four teams that are slower paced
in Houston. So you're my bet today out of my pocket.
Is the under in this game one thirty one and

(31:39):
a half. And I'm not afraid of it at all.
I think you'll be in the low one twenties, right,
and a little bit of first half under A nice bet.

Speaker 3 (31:46):
To go too, all right, sixty four to sixty five
something like that. I mean, if Houston puts Baylor to
under forty points in the first half, the under will
definitely be in play.

Speaker 1 (31:59):
Ronnie Bee.

Speaker 3 (31:59):
Let's take a look at another game that I had here
on my list. It used to be a big time game.
It could still be a big time game, maybe on
Tobacco Road Duke Carolina Rotation number seven one. The Duke
Blue Devils are playing some wonderful basketball right now again
back in the top of the rankings. They've shaken off
all the bad juice that they had from the Zion

(32:21):
Williamson shoe explosion. I'll never forget that because my ticket
exploded as well that day. But like I said, the
reality here is unc trying to make a bit of
a surge coming back late in the season here. But
when you got a team like Duke, that may let
you hang around for like a piece of a half,
maybe the equivalent of a quarter, and then they just

(32:42):
come back in the second half with Cooper Flag and
this guy can really ball. Man, he's a legit for
this era. He can play, and then they just beat
you down. They're at the Dean Center in a Chapel Hill.
Carolina somehow found themselves to twenty wins this year. I
think you were Davis will be fine at that basketball manager.
Think it's gonna work out pretty good. Plus nine and

(33:04):
a half as the dog for Carolina at home, you
got the total at one fifty seven and a half
about average for the ACC. Duke twenty seven and three,
Carolina twenty and eleven, respectable. But do you think Duke
just runs away with this one? And again the only
reason why I say that Carolina could have a chance
to get inside of that spread nine and a half,
ten points Tobacco road late season. These rivalries always meant something.

(33:29):
You have former players as the head coaches now, Hubert
Davis at Carolina, John Shire at Duke. I think we're
gonna get some rival reaction today here. And what that
leans to me is, of course you know, I'm gonna
say it that home dog Carolina, they need every.

Speaker 1 (33:44):
Win they can get.

Speaker 3 (33:45):
This would be a huge win for them if they're
trying to get into that tournament in the next couple
of weeks. Beating Duke today and having a strong showing
in that ACC tournament would be the way to get
them over the humpy get into the tournament. The ACC
should be well represented. You got Clemson on the board today,
not going to go over that one. If you want it,

(34:05):
you got to give us a call and pick up
the pick for cash. But this one here, Carolina, I'm
sensing some rivalry here today. I think this one is
going to be a blowout. Your thoughts, Ronnie Bee, Well.

Speaker 4 (34:19):
I took my hat to Davis. You got a two
year extension, and I thought he'd be getting fired this year.
I think I mentioned that a couple of weeks ago. Well,
Carolina has got their coach in the place for another
couple of years. But I don't think that's going to
help them today as all. I think Gouke is just
playing at a higher level at the right time. That
flag has got that team and that defense is just awesome.

(34:42):
But if you look at their last four or five games.
They beat Miami by thirty seven, Illinois by forty, Virginia
by twenty, Stanford by thirty five, I mean California by thirty.
They're just rolling through everybody, and I don't think it's
going to stop today. I say, a lot of betters
out there looking at Carolina said, oh boy, look I

(35:03):
get ninety ten points at home with Carolina.

Speaker 3 (35:05):
Be careful, you know what, you made some strong points here.
Like I said, this duke team is looking poised to
be national champions. When I look at the top twenty
five Ronnie Bee and I'm looking at it right now,
and again we're having a great conversation. You're just hanging
out with me and my main man, Ronnie Bee. I'm
your host and Boston Big JB the ticket giving out
picks each and every week.

Speaker 2 (35:25):
Folks.

Speaker 3 (35:26):
When we come back next season, picks are gonna cost
just some cash. We're gonna still give you great analysis, though,
but get it while you can. All your sponsors out there,
all your business owners, you need to put something out
there to get brand awareness.

Speaker 1 (35:37):
Okay, brand awareness, that's what matters.

Speaker 3 (35:40):
We'll drop a little bit of grease on your name
and see what can happens, and with you not only
promoting your appearances, if you can help build up your business.
But again, going back to this basketball Ronnie, Top twenty
five has got some strong teams here, I don't see
any well. I do see one team under twenty wins,
Arizona still sneaking around today out in the Big twelve
at nineteen and ten. But the rest of these teams

(36:00):
Kentucky nineteen to ten at number nineteen.

Speaker 1 (36:03):
Those are the only two.

Speaker 3 (36:05):
So I say that every every team on this Top
twenty five should be a strong contender. So going back
to that Duke Carolina game, do you want to buy
Duke up to maybe plus twenty? I mean, you know
you gotta be up excuse me, Carolina up to plus twenty.
Do you really think Carolina is going to allow themselves
to get beat like that contract extension? I mean, you're

(36:26):
giving me all the signals that say, take a look
at Carolina, But then when you look at what Duke
has been doing over the last couple of weeks twenty
six and three, dominant on the defensive side. That's the
part where like you mentioned that, I don't think that
I even really gave that much credence to But Carolina,
you said that plus ten may not be too bad.
How do you like that total? One sixty running? Then

(36:47):
we'll take a break, go ahead.

Speaker 4 (36:48):
Well, I think the total is weak. Like Duke has
been getting into the nineties by themselves here, So you know,
if it's a ten point game and Duke said in
the nineties, you're gonna have Carolina in the eight. But
I still think Duke's gonna blow him off today. I'm
betting this game. I'll say what, maybe we've talked about

(37:09):
four or five games here today already, and you've got
my final four that we talked about. I got Duke,
auburns Houston, and Saint John in the final four.

Speaker 2 (37:17):
There you go and see what happens.

Speaker 4 (37:19):
But those four teams are there. We've talked about. This
is the cream risings at the top at the right time,
and I think all these mediocre teams are gonna have
a hard time knocking any one of those four offs.

Speaker 3 (37:29):
That's what I'm telling you. Ronnie be my main man
from the ramp Park Casino. We're coming back from this
commercial breaks, gonna talk a little bit of college basketball,
kick around a little bit in the basketball world and
then give you some of our best players today. Because
you've already got the picks, let's get the money.

Got Ronnie be back on the line with me. Ronnie
getting ready to be at the Rampart Casino if you're

(40:03):
not already there. Let's talk about just overall college basketball.
We've seen a better season this year, haven't we much
better basketball season? Quality of basketball has really improved. The
players have started to make a name for themselves outside
of what the coaches have been doing. In the NIL era,
we're still seeing some teams trying to get themselves into
the field of sixty four. But let's talk about it

(40:25):
a little bit. In the NIL era, do you think
we're gonna see some more mid major magic? You know
a couple of years ago Final four FAU they made it.
If there was any small school this year to really
try to make some noise, who do you think it
could be. I'm gonna give a shout out to my
boys down in North Carolina, High Point University. I think
High Point University can make some serious noise if they

(40:45):
get to the tournament, get seated. Right, they're very good
in the Big South. I think they'll win the Big
South tournament as well. And if they do that, even
if they don't win the Big South unfortunately, I hope
they do win it. This is a team if they
get in the field of sixty four, they could give
some teams some problem. Who do you see Rhyneby.

Speaker 4 (41:03):
Well, I'll tell you my dark horse. But they're you know,
they're really not really a dark horse. They're ranked number
eleven in the country with a twenty five and five
record and been playing really good ball. But nobody's given
them any any media attention out there. Is that Clemson
I just.

Speaker 1 (41:16):
Well, there you go, we have, yeah, the Clemson Tigers
as well.

Speaker 4 (41:20):
Yes, yeah, I mean Clemson has been playing under the
radar and just keep on winning the twenty five and
five records, and I just see good things from them.
They're my Cinderella. As I said last week, I don't
think they can make it to the final four this year,
but you never know if something trips up. But right now,
I like Clemson has my Cinderella. But the strong teams

(41:43):
that we mentioned earlier, Duke, Auburn, Houston, Saint Johnny's, I
think they'll make it. That's my final four. I don't
know what's going to happen.

Speaker 3 (41:49):
That's my final fourth, right I mean, it's a very
good situation when you talk about the smaller schools getting
good teams put together through the nil Era, and I like.

Speaker 1 (41:59):
To see it.

Speaker 3 (42:00):
But then you talk about some of these other teams here.
If you look at what New Mexico was able to
do last night, I mean UNLV shout out UNLV. They
competed this season, they competed. New Mexico put a hurting
on them. Though it was a good first half for UNLV.
But you remember I told you they had problems scored
in the basketball. It showed up again last night. New
Mexico taken down that win. That's another team that really

(42:22):
has improved. When you look out of the Mountain West.
Do you see any of these other teams again coming
into the tournament first round? I know, we just gave
you a high point. I know we gave you Clemson,
some of these other schools that you know, you may
not hear a lot about, and then we'll go into
some of our best players of today and get out
of here.

Speaker 1 (42:37):
Go ahead.

Speaker 4 (42:38):
But I think I know who the coaches in New Mexico.
But do you know JB. Is it Patino Son?

Speaker 1 (42:45):
I think so? Hang on, let me pull it up.
I just had it. I literally just had it. I
think so. I think so. I don't know what his
name is.

Speaker 3 (42:53):
He's got two sons, if I'm not mistaken, right, because
one used to coaching, like Minnesota and something like that.

Speaker 4 (42:59):
Right, Yeah, I think it's Rich.

Speaker 1 (43:01):
Okay, that's true.

Speaker 4 (43:01):
But I think it's Rich Patino. Yeah. But I think
that's the reason why you're seeing, you know, the bloodlinings
here at work. Okay, okay, And coaching is one of
the biggest things, as you well know, playing ball. If
you've got a coach that knows what he's doing, you're
gonna look at it. Look at Michigan State. Okay, that's
that's a game tomorrow. I hope we talk about But
they're playing great ball. But it's coaching right, and that's
what's happening in this NIL I think is good and bad.

(43:25):
I think it's going to keep the players in college
playing ball because they're making the money. I didn't like
the one and done stuff because then your program can't
get any you know, equity in it and it can't
build anything. So if you could get these players to
stick around a little bit, the quality of basketball becomes
much better.

Speaker 1 (43:41):
It does.

Speaker 3 (43:42):
And the thing that we see in the college basketball
landscape over the last couple of weeks as well, even
during this season, a couple of coaches quitting due to
the NIL. So do you think that that's going to
open it up again? We see schools moving up a division.
You got Saint Thomas Moore, they moved to Division one,

(44:04):
had a very good season in their conference. Can't go dancing,
but they may get a cast tournament. You know, things
have changed. But when you look at it from that
overall perspective, do you think that college basketball is going
to be okay? Even though there's not a lot of
quote unquote media coverage and media hype as it used
to be with the individual players, with the individual stories.

(44:24):
But now that sports betting is legal, unfortunately had a
few sports betting scandals with college players, but I think
all that gets flushed out now due to technology, due
to the fact that this stuff is easy to track
if you're doing what you're not supposed to be doing.
So barring that aside, do you think college basketball is
going to be okay going forward? Ronnie be go ahead, Oh.

Speaker 4 (44:43):
I believe college basketball is going to get stronger and stronger.
I think that's why you see a lot of these
conferences combining. It's money related because some of the smaller
schools can't do it on their own, so they're switching conferences.
You know, the Big Ten isn't the Big ten. I
think it's a Big twenty right. It's making a difference
to share the money and the TV contracts and everything else,

(45:06):
otherwise they're not going to be able to compete. It's
kind of like baseball right now with the LA Dodgers.
If you got money, you buy a team. There you go,
and that's what you've got to watch out for with
this nil and I think that's why some of the
college coaches are leading the smaller schools. They know they
can't compete and get the players they need to keep
the program above sea level.

Speaker 1 (45:27):
There you go, and you were right about that.

Speaker 3 (45:28):
Richard Patino, head coach for New Mexico, kind of looks
just like his dad too.

Speaker 1 (45:33):
Wouldn't that be a matchup if.

Speaker 3 (45:35):
They made father play son in the tournament and be like, look,
we can't keep both of us. We can't keep both
of you only wanted you can go ahead. You know
how they used to do it back in the day.
But Ronnie B, thank you so much for coming on
the show this morning. I had some fun with you.
Thank you for sticking consistent with me because you're the
co host. Thank you for all my contributors this past season.
You guys, your contributions are always going to be appreciated.

(45:56):
But Ronnie Be, we're getting ready to get out of
here for the big lineup today on the bed matchups.
And again, folks out there listening, it doesn't matter how
you bet. It doesn't matter if you bet adala one
hundred dollars or a million dollars, as long as you
take home a win and as long as you do
this for fun. If it's not something you say you
do full time, because again I'm a voice full time.

Speaker 1 (46:16):
Okay, so ball, you folks out there are like, oh
you don't.

Speaker 3 (46:22):
Get your eyes in your hands out of my pockets.
But again, Ronnie B, thank you so much for coming on.
