There you go go ahead making it happen here again.
Back at you live, Jakie, you're still there. You got
that microphone going here me cut Yeah, there you go.
Finally got that microphone turned up.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Guys. We had some basketball yesterday being tea. It was
some good stuff. Man.

Speaker 6 (05:41):
I was watching quite a few games. I watched that
Florida game. That was one of the picks that I
gave out yesterday. Dog of the Day should have been
a Dog of the day. They were favored. They ended
up getting it done. We looked at Houston getting it done.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
I took the over like a dummy. You can, man,
Ronnie B.

Speaker 6 (05:57):
You're talking about this Houston Cougars team. Efficient offense is
what I would say. Essentially, once they get you down,
you can't get back up. The defense has just got
too much pressure. And when you look at it, you know,
going to what happened yesterday with Michigan. All you Michigan

(06:19):
fans out there, you know, I give you a credit
where your credit is due. But when you guy ready,
you know, coast to coast on you like that, I mean,
that's gonna cost you quite a few dollars, and that's
what happened.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
You had the same thing happened with Michigan State. They
just ran out of gas. Auburn warns you about them. Yesterday.

Speaker 6 (06:37):
I said Tennessee was the dog that barking Tennessee shout
out to volunteers. Main man mel He was like, I
talked to Tennessee. I had to turn my phone off
yesterday because he kept calling.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
Me to that nonsense.

Speaker 6 (06:50):
But anyway, Ronnie b how did you fare out yesterday?
Wisconsin getting a three point win over Michigan State. I
told you this may happen with some of these top teams. Though,
when you look at it from if you got a
good record, if you're in that top twenty five, winning
your conference tournament, especially in the nil era, unless you're
a small mid major division, isn't that important. A team
like Michigan State should still get a top five seed today.

(07:12):
And we're gonna be talking a lot about seeding in
the first half hour. Not that many games on the
line today, so we'll give your picks on the second half.
But just to give the fans an overview of the
sixty four to sixty nine teams that we're going to
be seeing today. We've got to look at this from
the sideline and say, we've got some good basketball teams,
but we've got some tired basketball teams, and we got
to look at teams that maybe punch their ticket early

(07:34):
last week, and also look at our bracket and not
necessarily consider our bracket a betting perspective unless you really
think that team is going to win. I heard some
contrarion on that yesterday where they said, you know, look
at your spread bets and your bracket bets a little
bit differently. But I feel that if you're gonna have
some fun with this, have a serious bracket if you're
trying to put together your bank roll, but if you're

(07:55):
gonna have some fun with it, you know, just let
it ride.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
Jake, Pappy so glad to have you back this weekend.
I'll start off with you trying to hype you guys
up too. Man.

Speaker 6 (08:03):
With the Rockneys. You guys were just sitting there jamming.
I'm like, I know they ain't even say that. But
the cool thing is, Jake, I wanted to talk to
you about these college basketball tournaments. Some of the smaller
schools I know that you follow them. Got a couple
of them in action today. But just you know, overall
the last week, it's been some great basketball being played.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
Remember back in high school.

Speaker 6 (08:22):
I don't know if Ronnie b if this was in
your era, but Jake, I'm sure it was in yours.
You guys are probably even streaming it. But back in
my era, during the March madness, we would roll in
that TV apparatus, remember the TV on the roller, absolutely,
and we plug it in and we watched shout out
coach Sedorian two. Way back when I was a kid
up in upstate New York, went to Schenectady High Man.

(08:44):
This guy used to roll in the TV. He was
a big time college ball play. He coached like the
what they call modified ball or something. I know they
had a different level up there, but you know that
was something that I know wanted to bring back up.
But I looked at the top twenty five yesterday Duke
faired Okay, you know, I got caught up in that try.
They got a whole other seven foot on that team.

(09:04):
That is almost, in my opinion, from what I saw yesterday,
just as good as Cooper flag. They were able to
take down Louisville's seventy three sixty two, So you look
at it from that perspective. Here, you know, Duke, I
think is gonna be okay, even with Cooper flag being out.
They got this kid. Proctor dropped nineteen yesterday, very very good.

(09:26):
Noopl that's the kid I'm talking about, eighteen points eight rebounds.
So again, Jake, you know some of the smaller schools.
I give you guys the big conferences. Tell me what
you're seeing while I pull up these rotation numbers.

Speaker 7 (09:36):
Go ahead, Yeah, definitely, And I mean I have to
give a shout out right away to Robert Morris, my
local team up here near Pittsburgh. They're going to be
dancing next week, and so is Saint for Ancis actually
of PA heard of them, but they're actually a long
time Division one team that's going to be finally dancing.
So a couple of Pittsburgh teams are you know, PA

(09:58):
local teams that aren't hit are going to be in
the tournament. So hey, well we'll give them some love
there in love.

Speaker 9 (10:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (10:06):
I think Beth and.

Speaker 7 (10:07):
The big Dogs though they fared well. I think Duke impressive,
and I think they're gonna get Cooper flag back. I
think Houston though that was very impressive for them to
get their first thing twelve conference championships. I really do
think that everyone's that the right teams are getting hot
at the right time.

Speaker 6 (10:22):
And I'm glad you said that because we're swinging it
over to Ronnie B. Thank you so much for being
back on the show with me this morning. Ronnie, always
getting up on time to make it.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
Happen with us. You talked about it.

Speaker 6 (10:32):
The good teams are getting good, the cream is rising
to the top, and now you're taking a look at
it from you know, the dogs are kind of out
of it. You know, we'll see them, you know, get
that opportunity to get into some postseason play. And I
also wanted to mention later on in the show tournaments
that may not be the field of sixty four, but
Ronnie B your thoughts on what you saw yesterday, shout
out to Saint John's getting it all the way regular

(10:54):
season and conference champions Saint John's Red Storm aka the Johnnies.
They're back, baby, and they've got Patino in New York,
the Godfather. Maybe he can bring back New York City
in itself. I bet you if he ran for me,
he would probably win most definitely for Ronnie be your
thoughts go ahead.

Speaker 8 (11:14):
Well, yeah, I've been telling you yesterday it was a
good day for me. You know, we went three and one.
I got feed out on Maryland there yesterday. But we
had Florida easy winner, we had Houston easy winner. And
we've been talking about Saint John's for a couple of weeks.
They got the final four ticket on them. So keep
an eye on Saint Johnny's. A patino that first time
in twenty five years they've won the conference there. So

(11:36):
it's like you said earlier, we've been saying the cream
is rising to the top. I don't think these Cinderellas
are going to dance this year now. I think it's
the top ten nun connected go right through this.

Speaker 6 (11:46):
Tournament right and then yesterday, just to get full disclosure,
own Caprotech went two and three. People didn't expect that
to happen. Dogs weren't barking. Arizona got smacked again. You
talk about the Houston Cougars. They took all of the
air out of what was trying to be done down
in Arizona. That was an impressive When Arizona did have
a good showing this year, getting over to the Big twelve.

(12:09):
The rest of the Pac twelve teams that have been
moving around, I mean most of them went to the
Big ten.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
Probably won't see them dancing. Probably won't see them dancing.

Speaker 6 (12:19):
But Michigan State, going back to you, j Poppy Man,
eighty percent of the money was.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
On Michigan State. Michigan State let everybody down.

Speaker 6 (12:26):
But like I said before, I wanted to get into
their talk about maybe falling into that sleeper role. What
I saw from Michigan State yesterday was a lack I
hate saying it like that, but lack of daisical effort
reminds me of when I was playing ball back in
the day from those kids, and with Izzo kind of
looking at it like he's got the record, he didn't
just seem like he was disinterested. Felt I felt like

(12:49):
he felt, well, my team is in, let's keep him healthy,
let's see where the ball falls and go from there.
And that's kind of why they ended up losing that game.
But Jake your thoughts, Yeah.

Speaker 7 (13:00):
No, and I think that's kind of weird for you know,
a tom is a team, especially getting into March, to
get a little lack of days the pool. But you
might be right. You know, they might be thinking, you know,
let's get healthy, take a couple of extra days off.
To be honest, I'm going to harm them. They're going
to get a top seed, you know, or at least
top five seed probably, so I think Michigan State will
be fine. I think is though. You know, I'll have

(13:22):
them rolling for March. They're a great defensive team. They're
going to be hard to beat.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
Definitely going to be hard to beat.

Speaker 6 (13:27):
And then again, going back to you, Rynie Bee, another
team that we talked about yesterday on the side Auburn.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
Auburn looks like they're getting exposed.

Speaker 6 (13:36):
Okay, twenty eight and five, they've already fallen from the
number one team in the country.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
Down to top five.

Speaker 6 (13:45):
I mean, I'm looking at it yesterday and said it
was released March tenth, they were number three. I'm sure
they'll stay in the top ten with the final regular
season rankings. But I was very disappointed in what I
saw from these guys yesterday.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
Absolutely no defense. Bruce Pearl.

Speaker 6 (14:02):
Talked a lot of stuff and couldn't bring it in.
So looking at the SEC teams, I think Auburn might
be the first one out and I know that may
be an early thing to say, but they've got two
recent losses.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
The teams that.

Speaker 6 (14:15):
They should have won. They were priced right on the
spread and the teams were essentially road teams are in
that roads position, and they beat them handily.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
Ronnie Bee, your thoughts Tennessee yesterday on their win.

Speaker 8 (14:26):
But it was a good ballgame, and I said with
Tennessee came out a little stronger. They hit the boards
a lot harder, and that's unlike for Auburn.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
To do that.

Speaker 8 (14:34):
So I think they'll bounce back. They still got the
talent on the team. I just think Tennessee was ready
to go yesterday and they showed it on the board.
Just that's what won the game for you.

Speaker 6 (14:44):
Jake Popper, your thoughts on that. Auburn, I'm saying they're
the first big time when to go out. Ronnie b said,
they weren't hitting the glasses they should yesterday. They weren't
hitting the glass, they weren't hitting the foot slide, they
weren't getting any blocks, they weren't.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
Doing anything on the defensive side of the ball.

Speaker 6 (15:01):
That should have been a ten point swing in that
second half. We didn't see it happen. Bruce Pearl also
kind of gave me that sitting on the sidelines waiting
to figure out where they're gonna get seated today. So
in that respect, like I said, Auburn, they're the team
I've got circled as a team that can break your
heart in that first round. I mean, if they get
a powder puff maybe, but if they get one of

(15:22):
your tougher mid range or mid division schools, talk to
me about that because that opportunity would be juicy on
the money line.

Speaker 7 (15:30):
Go ahead, yeah, you know, it'll be interesting to see
where they're seated. If they get that one seat, I
think they're gonna be right. If they's haul into a
two seed, you might see that two fifteen. But I
think Auburn is going to be kind, to be honest
with you, I think they're going to be at least
at least the three sixteen team, and then you can
see them falling out there. But I think they'll be
kind and they're the games. They're just too powerful, Johnny

(15:52):
Burrow And you know.

Speaker 6 (15:56):
Well, I'm glad you said that because the team i'm
taking out of the SEC. I'm sticking with those Florida
Gators yesterday dropping buckets, collecting tuckets one zero four to
eighty two over the team that scores quite a few
buckets over in Alabama themselves. There's no answer for Florida.
Florida seems to be a complete team. And when I

(16:17):
say complete team, they beat you across the board. Alabama
hunk tough in the first half with the three point shot,
and then they came out in the second halves. Give me,
Florida made those adjustments on defense, took away the perimeter,
forced Alabama on the inside where they just didn't have
a lot of strength, and they end up winning this
game by twenty two.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
Ronnie b. Florida. We talked about sleeper teams, Clemson being
one of them.

Speaker 6 (16:41):
I think Florida is that team here that you can
actually put a ticket to win the national championship and
no one would be surprised.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
Go ahead, Yeah, I.

Speaker 8 (16:48):
Agree with you. I'm gonna look into that when the
tournament picks are gun today and see what the odds
are for Florida. Like I said, I got them right
at the number five. May get it to the final four.
It's possible he'll sneak in. We'll see what happens. Is
what they played yesterday. They played like they did yesterday,
they could win the whole thing. There's no problem with it.
Shooting fifty one percent from the field and rebounding on
the boards with no problem. Seventeen assists. They're a strong

(17:12):
ball club. And yeah, you gotta watch out for Florida today.
Bet them today.

Speaker 6 (17:16):
There you go, he's liking them to be bet today.
Let's go to another school that I had yesterday over
in the Metro Athletic Conference tournament.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
Iona. Wow, talking about falling asleep.

Speaker 6 (17:29):
They got taken down considerably. Mount Saint Mary's getting ready
to go to the dance on that. Shout out to
Mount Saint Mary's for making that happen. But when you
see teams like that again, some of these mid majors
Mount Saint Mary's twenty two and twelve, could they be
this year Saint Peter's. Could they be this year's fau
Jake Poppy going over to you and then we'll get
ready to take this break.

Speaker 8 (17:50):
Yeah, you know it's interesting.

Speaker 7 (17:52):
Short short answer. No, he's just pull it out set here.
I don't think I own that he's deserved to me
that championship game yesterday, to be honest, but Yeah, that
was an ugly one. Yeah, that was like bar it's
gonna get a very unlucky y out today. Let's say
maybe Saint John's or someone like that, they're gonna get killed.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
And there you have it.

Speaker 6 (18:15):
Jake Poppy breaking it down for you, talking about that
big Western Conference tournament. You see San Diego, Hey, look
at that. They moved up from D two a couple
of years ago. They beat UC Irvine seventy five to
sixty one. Another big win. Shout out to Grand Canyon
University yesterday, my main man coach, cyl Franklin Senior. They
were at the game. Utah Valley State hung tough with

(18:38):
Grand Canyons. They're going back dancing from the Western Athletic Conference.
That conference is still kicking around out there. Ronnie, be
quick shoutouts. We'll go around the board, you and Jake,
and then we'll take this break.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
Go ahead.

Speaker 8 (18:49):
I'm gonna get a shout out with Rich Fatino, the
coach of Saint John's bringing that Philgram back after twenty
five years. And I've been telling everybody that's listening to
people playing Saint Johnny, they got a will dance.

Speaker 6 (19:01):
There you go with those New York club sounds and
some grease being dropped. You know what time it is,
Jake Poppy, take us a break, watch your shout out,
my freend.

Speaker 7 (19:09):
Yeah, as I said earlier, shout out to Robert Morris,
but I got to give another shout out to Clemson.
Like I said on the show a few weeks ago,
maybe a month ago. Now, I think Clemson is a
sleeper Final fourteen and I hope people put that in there.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
You go, Clemson sleeper final four team. You've been hearing

Speaker 6 (21:17):
Go aboard to press one on seven four and fourteen hundred.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
It's a black sendstation here in Las Vegas.

Speaker 6 (21:22):
iHeartRadio, Spotify, Apple podcasts around the country and around the world.
Thank you guys so much for tuning in. Let's talk
about some of the matchups that we got on deck
today again. This is gonna be one of those days
that would you look at it and you say to yourself,
how can we make some money?

Speaker 2 (21:34):
Got a couple of games.

Speaker 6 (21:35):
On the board that I kind of like him going
to that Big ten championship here.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
Ronnie B.

Speaker 6 (21:40):
Wisconsin and Michigan It's a battle that we've seen before
several times in Michigan today in that double position at
plus four, what I saw yesterday for Michigan to get
past their opponent Maryland, I mean, Maryland didn't even get
close to covering that. But the young man had eyes
in his veins. He made his free throw, and then
they didn't play any defense. Another lack defensive effort Michigan, though,

(22:04):
I think they could be tired today in Wisconsin. If
they play that balance brand of basketball that they played
against Michigan State yesterday, I think they can get to win.
Money line here we talk about it from that perspective.
Don't really like spreads in championship games. I got burned
yesterday with that. I'm liking moneyline. You got Wisconsin at
minus one ninety. I don't think that's too expensive. It's

(22:25):
kind of like right at that moment there. But after
what I saw from Michigan yesterday having to use all
their marvels and get lucky at the end, I think
Wisconsin is going to be a much better defensive team,
much more disciplined, and they should be able to get
a win today.

Speaker 8 (22:37):
But go ahead, what's that game yesterday? They should have
never let Donaldson run that court and stop the ball.
Rule number one, stop that ball. But what I'm looking
at today, you got Wisconsin coming in on their fourth
game in four days, so I think those leagues might

(22:59):
be a little tired. But I gotta tip my head
to the Tanzie East playing above the grim ball and
he's bawling out.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
Right there you go.

Speaker 6 (23:07):
That's exactly who I mentioned yesterday.

Speaker 8 (23:10):
Yeah it's but here's the thing I've been saying, and
you've heard me say it, Jamie is tournament tang points
and sugar is nice for your pocketbooks. So I'm gonna
take Michigan and the point there today. I think Wisconsin
might be a little lake tired. Four games and four
days at that pace is gonna be tough. So I'll
take the points. I think it'll be a close game,
but I'll take the points.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
Yep.

Speaker 6 (23:30):
I'm looking at maybe an under here. You got one
to fifty one is the total. These two teams are tired.
I don't know if they want to drop to seventy
five points. And again, Michigan yesterday playing some good basketball.
But going over to you, Jake Poppy, when you talk
about what Michigan was able to do yesterday. They had
to put up a lot of points eighty to eighty
one over Maryland. You go into today's game and they've

(23:51):
clearly got this when priced at one fifty, do you
think Michigan has got all of their marvels ready again, Wisconsin,
they looking at the four game schedule. This is what
it takes in the nl air kids, you got to
be able to play to get played. You know, the
NBA doesn't do that, no management. But the reality is

(24:12):
this would be an even match up here. I would
like to see maybe a few more points if you
go with Michigan today, maybe buying them up to a
five to six, maybe eight point spread. I just think
Wisconsin has a better defensive grasp than Maryland. Maryland lost
that game yesterday because they played terrible defense. I watched
that game from start to finish. They just let Michigan

(24:32):
hang around, hang around. They get a six point lead,
and then they let Michigan hang around. I don't think
Wisconsin is going to do that. However, Wisconsin, again, they
have been playing at a rapid fire pace balance basketball.
But as Ronnie b said, can they maintain that today?

Speaker 2 (24:47):
Go ahead?

Speaker 7 (24:48):
Yeah, the pace is one thing, but also the player.
Like we said, Tanji, I think Wisconsin got the edge
here today. I think two weeks ago Michigan was pretty
much dead in the water. I mean then, what a
what a what a tournament they put together here? But
now I think today Wisconsin is the play. I agree
with you, though, I probably grab a money line, shop

(25:08):
around a little bit, and I see him minus on
seventy on mind book right here. That's what I'm gonna
be ripping.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
There you go.

Speaker 6 (25:14):
I'm telling you Wisconsin, they've got the players, and they've
got the defensive stop. Let's talk about a small school here.
The brainy acts got the IVY League Championship going out today, Sunday,
March sixteenth. Again, Happy Saint Patty's Day. To everybody out there,
stay safe because the other kind of Jakes is out
there looking to pick you guys up and give tickets.
I saw them all over the place today, but keeping

(25:35):
you safe. Shout out to all the first responders out
there as well. Cornell rotation number six thirty nine the
Cornell what are they the Bears? There's some type of
grizzly or something plus two a thirty on the money line.
You know, outside of all the issues on campus, the
basketball team is doing pretty good going up against Yale
rotation number six forty minus five and a half. Now,
these IVY League games, they tend to go under. You

(25:56):
got a one fifty eight on the total here going over?
Do you Jake Poppy again? Because you specialize in these
smaller schools out of the IVY League, we don't see
Princeton with the back door cut. We're gonna see maybe
you know another schools will probably come in and get sacrificed.
But in the nil era, these are schools that have
a lot of endowment money.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
And when you look at Yale going twenty one.

Speaker 6 (26:18):
And what's I say, twenty one and nine, twenty one
and seven, whatever it may be, I think that they're
gonna be a little bit more competitive twenty one and seven,
Cornell here eighteen and ten.

Speaker 2 (26:28):
They're playing at their league average.

Speaker 6 (26:29):
I don't know if they win, I think they would
be one of the teams to get sacrificed.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
But I think Yale. Yale has something.

Speaker 6 (26:37):
I remember last year they played Purdue pretty strong before
they got knocked out of the tournament.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
How do you think yaleill for them? Today, go ahead
five and a half.

Speaker 7 (26:46):
Yeah, no, it'll be probably the matchup better day in
the IVY League. To be honest with you, you know, I
like rod ball and then Major ball. I think Cornell
will cover today. I do think Yale is a better team.
I think the IVY League would rather see Yale in
the tournament, be honest with you, all right. I do
think with the NIL though, I think those of these
teams are gonna get smacked. I used to think that

(27:06):
an IVY League team was pulling up that, and I
thought maybe at Princeton snuck in with Dave and Lee,
you know, maybe some NBA talent, they might be able
to do it. But no, I really think that nil
was cooked the IVY League here, and I think the
IVY League in trouble in the first round.

Speaker 6 (27:22):
Oh boy, oh boy, Ronnie be your thoughts of these
small schools.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
Here, go ahead, one and done.

Speaker 8 (27:30):
All of them are.

Speaker 6 (27:36):
Rddy be said, let's not even waste any time. Let's
talk about some big time college basketball again. Being brought
to you by our friends at foodbotv, go to footballtv
dot com, slash at JB. It's gonna get you where
you want to be. This morning to get you no
cable bill. If that's where you're having some trouble, let's
talk about it. Florida and Tennessee rotation number six forty
three Tennessee plus.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
Five and a half.

Speaker 6 (27:56):
Can they make magic again? Can they be adult? It's
marking Florida five and a half minus two fifty. They're
making expensive for you. Total is one forty three. Florida
doesn't seem to have any flaws. They don't have any injuries,
they don't have anything going wrong with them. The only
thing they got going wrong with them is not having
to play basketball against somebody else, because I think they

(28:17):
like to practice against themselves. A team that's that good
means that the guys on the bench are also that good,
and they're able to simulate other team schemes.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
I mean, one hundred points in a college conference basketball game.

Speaker 6 (28:32):
I mean, and they've been doing it and doing it
and doing it and doing it. I don't see anybody
beating Florida today, Tennessee. What do they got to do here?
You know, it's like jab, you're taking favorites. The teams
are better, Tennessee. Can they get lucky again today? Going
over to you running well.

Speaker 8 (28:49):
I'll tell you what I don't. It depends on which
team comes out here. But what I saw yesterday with Florida,
as you're talking about, we talked yesterday. If they played
like they did yesterday, this is a blowout with no problem.
Just played twice this year, they've each won a game,
and they each won by twenty points. So depends on
which team is shooting which one isn't. But I look
at Florida yesterday. They're running smooth. They got the big

(29:10):
men underneath that are going and they like a fast
paced So I'm gonna Leaeniens I said earlier in the
show today, I bet Florida already go ahead and lay
the points.

Speaker 6 (29:19):
There, you go lay the points with Florida going to you,
Jake Poppey, do you think Florida Baby has a letdown
day today.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
Again?

Speaker 8 (29:29):
Yeah, you know.

Speaker 7 (29:30):
I think the number, the total is actually I think
the total here is what I'm looking at. I mean,
this is such a low total for a team that
just put up over one hundred points. So I think
that actually Tennessee's gonna get in this cover. This will
be a low scoring game. I think you take Tennessee
plus the five.

Speaker 6 (29:46):
He says, it's gonna be Tennessee plus the five. Do
you think, though, we could see possibly something with Florida.
Florida have shown who they are. They put theirself out there.
I mean, if you're in the conference tournament, of course
you want to win it. But at the same time respect.
Remember I said teams playing for respect and seeding. Tennessee
winning this tournament gives them better seeding. Florida because of

(30:09):
their dominance in the regular season, I think will be okay.
So when you go from that perspective, like I said,
are the Florida guys looking to go thirty and four
have a great record, or we're gonna see Tennessee get
to twenty eight and six. Because the concept behind that
is Tennessee is the team that wants more respect. That
went over Auburn yesterday. It gave them enough to get in.

(30:30):
I don't think Tennessee's a bubble team anymore. I think
they've shown enough. But for them to get a top
five seed, they got to beat Florida today. So again,
talking about that total, it's one forty four. I've seen
it on a couple of books. Here I'm looking at
my friends over at bet US one forty three. They're
thinking low scoring here and again Jake brought that up.
Going back over to you, Rodny B. Do you think

(30:51):
we're gonna see a low sixties, mid fifties.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
Type of game out of these two guys. I don't
think so.

Speaker 6 (30:56):
I mean the SEC tournament with loose ticket money in
the revenue.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
This is going to be on TV. Go ahead, well
tell you what.

Speaker 8 (31:03):
I've looked at it, and like I said, I bet
this game personally with Florida. I also like the under here.
Both games they've played this year, Yeah, they were blowouts,
but the totals were one sixteen and one oh eight.
So I think these two teams match up whoever doesn't
shoot and one of them is not going to shoot today.
I don't know which one, but one of them is
not going to shoot. And I like the under that
one's out of points.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
Coming back there you go, let's talk about it again.

Speaker 6 (31:27):
Going down to the AAC, the Memphis Tigers and.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
And Forna Penny Hardaway are in their championship game.

Speaker 6 (31:35):
You talk about UAB though I saw them in the
NIIT a couple of years ago over at the Orleans Arena.
Tough team, good recruiting, They get the kids out of
their juco's down there. They know how to make things happen.
Plus three and a half is telling you this is
a dog that's barking now. Memphis had troubled yesterday with Tulane. Again,
in these mid major conferences, there are no bad teams.

(31:56):
If you get to the championship team, I say, take
the dog here. I like you, AB not gonna pay
you much money. Line plus three and a half. I
buy them up to six and see what happens. Jake, Pappy,
your thoughts go ahead.

Speaker 7 (32:08):
Yeah, and I told you what a few weeks ago.
This Memphis team is legit. I think they're playing UAB
and they beat them. But actually today I'm on UAB
with you, JB. I think UAB is a big feeler.
I think Memphis is already in the tournament right fine,
They've kind of been playing, like you said, in close
games recently, so I just don't see you know how

(32:28):
you couldn't take UAB in the points here. I think
ua B will either hold it close or get the
win and they'll go dancings.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
There you go. You got to keep it tight here,
Ronnie B.

Speaker 6 (32:36):
Your thoughts talk about some of these smaller schools here,
UAB plus three and a half.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
From a dog.

Speaker 6 (32:42):
Perspective, do you think that if a flip Memphis and
maybe put them at a plus one, that may be
a better situation. Like Jake and I said, UAB, they're
rebounding team. That's their specialty. They get on the glass.
They're one of the better teams. You had Liedenborg, Yes today,
twenty three points, thirteen rebounds. Okay, these are guys that

(33:04):
crass the glass and they make sure that you can't
get to the ball. Great box outs, fundamentally sound. Ten
point went over a North Texas team that was a
running gun type team, and they may be in the
n I T, probably a top seed in the n
I T. But UAB is no slous today, Memphis. Do
you think that Penny can get these guys over the hump?

(33:24):
Maybe make them a nickel.

Speaker 8 (33:27):
I'll tell you what, I'm excuse me, I'm looking at
this game and I'm leaning towards UAB plus the points
here today. They've been aperience team and tournaments. They've got
a good ball club. Like you said, they hit the
board very well. They shoot street throws better than Memphis.
They assist better than Memphis. So I got to take
the points here, put a little sugar in my pocket.

(33:48):
But I think, like he said, this could be a
tournament buster here for some tickets out there. So UAB
for me plus the points.

Speaker 6 (33:56):
There you go, even if you're not scared of that
money line. Give you some quick stats here and the
American Athletic Conference final UAB eighty two point eight points
a game, Memphis at an even eighty. The rebounding the
advantage again, UAB forty three rebounds a game to forty
only for Memphis, and then Memphis with the assist you
got UAB giving you about two and a half more

(34:17):
assists than Memphis.

Speaker 2 (34:19):
All signs are.

Speaker 6 (34:20):
Saying bet the dog here in the AAC talking about
that total, though, that one's kind of big, one fifty
eight one of the biggest totals we've seen today, if
not the biggest, No, it's tied with the Yale Cornell game.
When you go into uab's outfit, though scoring hasn't been
their thing, they're kind of like a poor man's Houston,
if you will. They play solid defense, they crash the glass. Memphis, however,

(34:43):
they play that up tempo basketball that get you tied,
and when that happens and those buckets aren't falling, I
think the rebounding edge is going to be there, but
I don't also worry about that total one fifty eight.
Can both of these teams give me eighty points today?

Speaker 2 (35:00):
Go ahead?

Speaker 7 (35:00):
To Jake Popter, it's super high, but I think they do.
I think they get there. I think Memphis is going
to push the tempo. I think UAV is actually going
to be able to match the tempo to UAV if
you actually liked if you watch them, they do like
to run the floor.

Speaker 2 (35:16):
They do.

Speaker 7 (35:17):
They got athletic guys, but it just depends on if
they're hot or not. I do think both of these
teams will get eighty today, and I think we'll go over.

Speaker 2 (35:24):
Rhyanie, be your thoughts on that? Go ahead?

Speaker 8 (35:26):
Yeah, I like the over on this one. To The
pace on both of these teams is in the top
of the country here in the top fifty, so I
think this pace is going to be strong. I don't
think even team likes to shoot the three, so I
think you're gonna have a lot of points underneath, which
creates falls and three points while the clock is up.

Speaker 2 (35:44):
Give me the over.

Speaker 6 (35:45):
He's liking the over here. Both of the team's averaging
where they need to be. Again, if a couple of
shots fall the other way, we could see some change
on that. Let's take a look at another game on
the line today, being brought to you by our friends
at Football TV. We've seen these guys a long time ago.
Back in OH four they made the final George Mason
and the championship game before the Atlantic ten going up

(36:07):
against Virginia Commonwealth. I remember that was where Shaka Smart
got his start. But rotation number six forty one, George
Mason plus eight, biggest dog of the day, Ronnie Bee says,
take the sugar. This is the one I bet plus
three twenty.

Speaker 2 (36:20):
On the money line. You got them. Go with the
dog today. If you miss it out, this is the
day you don't want to miss out.

Speaker 6 (36:25):
Championship game Virginia Commonwealth though minus eight. That tells me
something about them. They play ball as if they're playing
surch and skins. These guys get out on the floor.
Twenty seven and six. Overall, they kind of ran their conference.
They played some very good basketball, and I think George
Mason again at twenty six and seven no slouch. These

(36:46):
are the two best teams in this conference. So we're
kind of seeing another one of those conference rematch set up,
if you will, Jake Poppy, mid conference, mid major school,
go ahead.

Speaker 7 (36:56):
Yeah, I'm interested today in this, In this VCU game,
going to hear their name called, you know, regardless of
where or not. I don't think so. So I think
DCU is going to push the tempo and try to win.
They have a great defense, so they're going to play
to their style. I do think though, that a championship game,
it's just too many points. I will buy George Mason

(37:17):
eight and a half, maybe nine, and I will take
George Mason to cover.

Speaker 2 (37:21):
Taking George Mason to cover. Your thoughts on that, Ronnie Bee,
go ahead.

Speaker 8 (37:25):
Well, I'm gonna I'm gonna go on the other side
of the VCU. During the season, they played each other
only once. I think it was VCU beat him by
sixteen on the road. So, and I'm looking at the
pace here. Both of them are pretty slow one rank
so George Mason three hundred and thirty second on three
hundred and fifty teams of VCU two sixty two. So
it's going to be a deliberate game, I think, and

(37:46):
the field goal percentages are pretty equal, but I think
the boards is where it's going to be, and I'm
going to give it to VCU.

Speaker 6 (37:52):
He's giving it to VCU because of the repounding. You
talk about offensive production today, let's uh, you know, go
over the one more game that I got here. Come on,
open back up. We've got George Mason. I'm liking these
guys just simply because they got the biggest spread today.
And like you said, Ronnie B I'm not gonna go
against religion again. Big spreads, you take them. I'm taking

(38:12):
the big spread today. Who I think they can get
the money line. Yes, I'm gonna put them on one
of my money line magic tickets, but I think a
solid ticket today. We gave you all free if you
go with the al George Mason, you take Florida to
just win it. I know that was gonna be the
one that takes down some of the money, but I
think Florida's gonna win this game. I'm looking at Wisconsin, okay,
their favorite. They would have been a dog, and then

(38:33):
I like uab those are my picks. Give you the
pick of the day. In a little bit let's talk
about some of the teams that have already gotten into
the tournament. Again, shout out to my guys down in
the big South High Point University.

Speaker 2 (38:45):
Yes, getting it done, Jake.

Speaker 6 (38:47):
While I pull these teams up, go over some of
the like you said, first four out, teams that we
expect to go further, maybe make it to the second round.
But maybe we being the experts, don't agree. Three, who
are the first four teams that are out and not
talking about these small guys.

Speaker 7 (39:03):
Go ahead, those four out of the tournament today.

Speaker 6 (39:08):
First four out of the tournament, out of selection. You
know this is kind of a prognosticator. I know you
are an expert.

Speaker 2 (39:16):
Who do you know is going to get in?

Speaker 6 (39:17):
And then who's gonna come right back out that we
don't expect and I'm talking one of these bigger schools.

Speaker 2 (39:21):
Go ahead.

Speaker 7 (39:24):
Yeah, No, that's a good question. I mean, I think
that you're gonna see like North Carolina left off the
bubble today, Ohio State left off off. I think you're
also gonna see some close teams though, like that that VCU,
that Memphis, that UAV is going to be important to
see who you know wins today in those games? A

(39:44):
team though that I could see maybe sneaking in and
losing early, is like an Indiana or like, uh yeah,
I could see like an Indiana sneaking in here today
and losing in the first or second round. Then I
could also see I mean, if North Carolina does sneak in, He's.

Speaker 6 (40:03):
Like, you got too much tall on your heels, Ronnie
b saying question to you again, teams that are going
to get in first four out that you don't expect
to go out, go ahead.

Speaker 8 (40:16):
It was like he was saying, here, I got the
same teams in mind here. I think all the big
name schools that are in troublers, Indiana, Ohio State, North Carolina,
I don't think any of those are going to make
the big Dance. I'm surprised that the North Carolina resigned
their coach, David So. I just see a lot of
different teams going to get in through this tournament conference play,

(40:37):
and it's going to eliminate the big name Yep.

Speaker 6 (40:41):
You can kind of see it looking that way in
my opinion. You know, like I said, I've been looking
at you know, whoever comes out of the big ten
out of this championship today could be a spoiler. If
it was Wisconsin, I say, maybe they got a shot.
It's Michigan, I say, no, can't put money on teams
with hail Mary runs to the basket like that. And

(41:02):
then you also talk about some of the other teams
here that are a little bit bigger. Let me slide
down here, Gonzaga.

Speaker 2 (41:09):
Dog Okay, that's it.

Speaker 3 (41:12):
That's it.

Speaker 6 (41:14):
I don't think we're gonna see them move past the
first round. Could be wrong here, but those are just
some of the bigger names that you've seen in the
past make some work happen. So, guys, I'm gonna take
a quick commercial break. We're gonna come back keep talking
some more college basketball marks Madness is here Selection Sunday,
Happy Saint Patty's And to all the folks out there
listening here in Las Vegas, thank you so much for
getting up with me each and every weekend supporting the

(41:34):
show again. Sponsors, get your show name out there, get
your business out there, get your program out there. We
can make it happen for you. But like I said,
Ronnie Bee, we've got some teams here. Yesterday, Colorado State
Mountain West Representative, they you know, drop a little.

Speaker 2 (41:49):
Bit of grease they got over there.

Speaker 6 (41:51):
But you talk about it, and like I said, this
is one of those things that just make.

Speaker 2 (41:54):
You feel like.

Speaker 6 (41:57):
We're gonna see a really, really, really good tournament this year.
I think there's a lot of teams that can play
really good basketball. It's because of the nil era and
what that allows you to do is allows you to
get guys that you.

Speaker 2 (42:07):
Normally wouldn't be able to get. And now that you're able.

Speaker 6 (42:10):
To see the type of quality teams that are coming
in from different locations and teams that are saying to themselves, look,
Boise State, Utah State, maybe you guys can get in
with something along that line of maybe looking at like
a ten to eleven seed. What smaller seed, Now we're

(42:30):
talking some big name schools, big name even mid major,
smaller school that maybe has that chance in that seven
eight range to get maybe past the round of two,
round of three, gets to that sweet sixteen. Go ahead,
you said, McNee State, Go ahead, Jake Mappy, go ahead.
What's up with msnee State?

Speaker 2 (42:53):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (42:53):
McNeese is legit. I mean they got well wide. That
was probably the best tire of the entry for that
talking about taking a risk after he got you know,
kicked the can at LSU and what not. Yeah, after
the fill stuff, But what a hire for McNee back
to back tournaments. I think they'll make some noise, maybe
get a win, maybe two. They got some senior leaders

(43:14):
said they got some experience. I think mcneife is the
team to look out for.
