Speaker 4 (05:07):
I'm here there you go.

Speaker 5 (05:08):
Glad to have you and you can follow Ronnie over
on Instagram at ro and inn. Why B is seven
oh two. So let's talk about it a little bit.
You're the only guy on the line here with me
this morning. College football last week, I know we missed
out to give out some of our picks. But I
had already said, I think a week before that, that
I thought that Ohio State would win this, and they.

Speaker 4 (05:28):
Did win it.

Speaker 5 (05:29):
Notre Dame did a decent showing twenty three to thirty four.
But you know, nevertheless, Ohio State, Ryan Day, are we
gonna make the mistake and overlook Ohio State going towards
next year because I'm already looking at football season for
next year, you know what I mean. I watched some
college basketball last night. Watch my alma mater, Perdue put
a hurting on Michigan. So go ahead, Ronnie Bee.

Speaker 6 (05:49):
Well, I think the stars were aligned for Ohio State
this year once they got past Michigan. So the tournament
was good. The seedings, I don't know if they were
fair and how they do it their structure it maybe
they'll make some changes over the spring here and see
what happens when we come back with the buys and
everything else. The you know, the buy teams all lost,
so that that doesn't vote well for the way the

(06:10):
system is set up. But Ohio State played well. They
deserve it, and I think they'll be tough again next year.
And I think the Big Ten is going to come
back loaded next year.

Speaker 5 (06:18):
Yeah, the Big Ten's going to be loaded, you know,
covering all coasts, covering all recruiting areas, and I think
they're going to be continue to be the premier football league,
you know, as the SEC tries to sort itself out
with its nil propositions as well, You're gonna be seeing
a lot of kids transfer out, you know, with the
transfer portal being full. Can't even really do a postseason

(06:39):
recap the way we want to because again, like.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
As soon as the games are over, these kids are
jumping shift.

Speaker 5 (06:45):
But nevertheless, again shout out to our friends over at
footbo TV appreciate their support this season. Foobotv dot com

(07:27):
let's talk a little bit about some college basketball. I
know a lot of folks out there have been waiting
on this for me. They're like, Jayby, have you got
any college hoops for us? And I said, well, you know.

Speaker 4 (07:38):
Ever since the nil era came around. You know, I
hate to.

Speaker 5 (07:41):
Sound like a hater, Hey, to sound like I hater it, Man,
I have no idea who these kids are.

Speaker 4 (07:46):
They all got the same haircut.

Speaker 11 (07:48):
Man.

Speaker 5 (07:50):
I missed the days of McDonald's all Americans and real
five stars and one and Dons and hood legends. You know,
I miss that. You know this is this is prep
school kid ball. But nevertheless, we'll get into it. The
rotation numbers, I'm getting ready to pull them up. But
Ronnie B, what are some of the things that you've
seen in college basketball? Because I've been looking at the
scores and the schedule today, I'm seeing a lot of

(08:12):
teams that are kind of in the middling a portion
of the rankings, if you will, not necessarily you know,
top twenty five dominance. There's been a lot of changes.
We've seen Yukon have a few slip ups. Your thoughts,
go ahead.

Speaker 6 (08:25):
So I just started to get into college ball here
since the football scene is winding down. So yeah, now.

Speaker 5 (08:33):
We might end up being a football only show. By
the way, Ronnie, just keep that in mind.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
Go ahead.

Speaker 6 (08:39):
I can understand that. But I was watching the Purdue
game yesterday. I had a little little bit of sugar
on it yesterday, and they played. They came out yesterday.

Speaker 5 (08:47):
Yeah, they were ball and they were ball.

Speaker 6 (08:51):
Well, you know, they lost the night before, the day
before with a home court that they blew a fifteen
point lead, so I think the coach had them ready
to go yesterday. They didn't look back yet, so they
just kept pouring it in and they beat a good
Michigan team. So it's the Big Ten again is strong
in basketball as well, so it could be an interesting
season for college here.

Speaker 5 (09:11):
There you go, Michigan again, Number twenty one, per due
number eleven. Now, these are teams that you know were dominant.
Remember last year with Purdue and Zach Edy go into
the national championship. But I'm looking in the top five
rankings and you know who I don't see. I don't
see Yukon, Ronnie B What is going on with Yukon?

Speaker 6 (09:29):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (09:30):
Because I'm I'm all the way down top ten, top
twenty five.

Speaker 4 (09:33):
Okay, I see them at number nineteen. They better be glad.

Speaker 5 (09:38):
It's a field of sixty four and they have a
chance to turn it around in a couple of weeks here,
But Saint John's back in the top twenty five. Coach
Califari is No, that's Rick Patino. I get him mixed up.
That's two different families. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, sorry, Don,
But no, the key here is Saint John's's back into
the top twenty. And when you look at where coach
Rick Patino has been able to turn them around, we

(10:00):
again don't know of any specific stars. And then Louisville
trying to turn their basketball program around. I know they've
had issues in the ACC to the last three or
four seasons. They're rounding out that top twenty five. So again,
Ronnie be going back over to you what are some
of the teams that you've been looking at, possibly to
maybe put together some betting program, if you will, to

(10:20):
try to put cash in our pocket. Because as I
pull up the rotation numbers here today, I'm seeing a
lot of tight pricing. I'm seeing a lot of parody.
I'm seeing a lot of teams with five six wins
for the season, some teams with only ten wins. So,
with that being said, March Madden is right around the corner.
Who is the team or what conference? I remember I

(10:41):
used to bet college basketball from a conference perspective, but
now with the nil era, that's a waste type today.
Kids are there for two weeks. But who are some
of the teams you're taking a look at?

Speaker 6 (10:50):
Ronnie Bee, go ahead, otay with I really like this
Ohio Iowa State team. They're playing very good defense. They're
ranked number three right now on the country. They got
a six Yeah, they got a sixteen and two records,
and they're playing good, good, good basketball, good defense. So
I like them a little bit. I've been watching Kentucky.

(11:11):
They're they're running and gunning. If they hit the three ball,
they're tough to beat. I like them today over Vanderbilt
minus two and a half. So there's a few big
Blues that are out there still playing well, and then
there's some up and comers that are playing. Florida has
got a good season, good team this year going so far.
Georgia the other day Blue game, they had a fifteen

(11:33):
to sixteen point lead. I see a lot of that
going on right now. Ye come out strong.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
That's the prep school school. That's prep school.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
Yeah, come out.

Speaker 6 (11:42):
They come out strong in the first half, and then
all of a sudden the second half they lose the
ball game. So it's the Big Ten to me though,
looks like the strongest league right now. And I think
they got five or six in the top twenty, so
it's it should be an interesting We're getting into February
here in about it, so March Madness is right around

(12:02):
the corner, so everybody should start looking at some basketball.
And as what I'm doing the last couple of days,
that's what I've been doing.

Speaker 5 (12:07):
That's what I've been doing too. And the conference, you know,
going back to my old way of betting conferences, the
SEC is dominant basketball now football. You know, they'll always
be the uh Stall Awards, if you will but the
Big Ten is creeping up on them heavy. But in basketball,
you got Auburn at number one, you got Alabama at
number four, Florida, as you just mentioned, at number five,

(12:31):
Tennessee at number six. So let's get into it again.
I've been looking at some of these rotation numbers and
I have really been trying to figure out. I think
today's like the mid major day. So let's talk about
a bigger school. Here, rotation number six, twenty seven, we're
going over to the Big Ten. The Michigan State Spartans
minus seven on the road, minus two to eighty five
money line total end this game is one hundred and

(12:51):
forty nine and a half. Again, college of basketball, two
halves of basketball. They're telling you that these kids can
score seventy a piece. On the teams here in rotation
number six twenty eight, the dog get holder Rutgers Scarlet
Knights plus seven plus.

Speaker 4 (13:03):
Two thirty eight.

Speaker 5 (13:04):
So you kind of got a flip flop on the
spread here, not a lot of change in value. And
when I looked at both of these teams today, I
was pulling it up. I said, Okay, you got Rutgers
at ten and nine, and you got a Michigan State
team at six and two. This game opened up at
minus three. Now it's plus six and a half for
Rutgers here at home. But again this college basketball dog betting.

(13:25):
Do you see any guys who can legitimately play against
the powerhouse of Michigan State coming out of Rutgers Because
now with college basketball the transfer portal guys not being
well known, I'm heavy on their stats. I'm heavy on
looking exactly what are these guys doing because the averages
tend to be you know, the mean, the mode the
media and you guys remember third grade math, and if

(13:45):
you don't, I mean, come on, come onme, man. But
the stats are telling me that these guys should be
losing by ten and the rebounding Rutgers thirty nine to
Michigan State forty five looks like they're controlling the paint.
And then you talk about the this is per game, Michigan
way ahead with eighteen point three, a full five ahead
of Rutgers. So that's the ten points I'm telling you

(14:06):
they should lose by. If you didn't know my math,
I still got that math for you from basketball. I
just have no idea who these kids are. Milk Carton,
But nevertheless, Rutgers should be beaten here. Would you want
to put some spread money on Michigan State here or
try to get some dog magic with the Scarlet Knights
at home right of being there?

Speaker 4 (14:26):
Dog go ahead.

Speaker 6 (14:27):
I'll tell you what. This is a game that I've
been looking at a little bit this morning, and I
kind of like the home dog here because the big
ten home court advantage is very, very strong. And you'll
see the line I think has moved down to jabslecting
like five and a half right now. So the money's
coming in on Rutgers, and I like a couple of
the ball players they have on their teams. The freshmen.

(14:49):
You got Dylan Harper, the son of Derek Harper, you
got East Bailey, all of McDonald's all Americans. So they
got two freshmen that score about twenty points the game.
If they can't a game that's on at home, it
could be a little upset time here. But I do
like the five and a half.

Speaker 4 (15:06):
Okay, you like the five and a half. We're talking
about dogs here.

Speaker 5 (15:09):
We know that college basketball is a little bit different,
you know, Like I said, I'm not betting too much
on players. I do see Rutgers, though, they have two
young players who are averaging twenty points a game. And
you mentioned that one of them was a knee po baby.
Which one is that one?

Speaker 6 (15:26):
Derek Harper?

Speaker 5 (15:26):
Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, Derek Harper. Now that was a
couple of Harpers. There was a Derek Harper that played
for the Knicks. Is this Ron Harper's kid? No, Dylan Harper, Yeah,
Dylan Harper Ron Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, Ron Hopper. Yeah,
cause I was getting ready to say because Ron Harper
was one of those sleepers for Miami of Ohio back
in the day, said he was a next Jordan, won
a bunch of championships with the Bulls, was a very strong,

(15:49):
tall point guard and protected the ball. Well, so yeah,
I can kind of see that here. I mean, if
you like the scarlet Nights here as a dog, I'm
going to concunt with you here because what I see
with college basketball again, these kids are coming in.

Speaker 4 (16:02):
It's a team effort.

Speaker 5 (16:03):
I do see a little bit more playing in the paint,
not as many threes this year. So, Ronnie Bee, while
I pull up the next game, which is interesting because
you know Seaton Hall Creighton, you got a six and
three teams thirteen and six. You know what happened to
Seaton Hall. We're not going to get into it. But
I don't know what's going on with basketball up in
the northeast of Jersey. But again going back to what

(16:24):
you were saying about that big ten home court advantage,
a lot of small schools on the line today as well. Guys,
who do you see the value is with maybe coming
out of that Big ten, Because when I look at
the top twenty five, I don't see very many Big
ten in the top five and in the top ten,
I don't see any go ahead except for Michigan State.

Speaker 4 (16:41):
Except for Michigan State. That's why I gave him out
go ahead.

Speaker 6 (16:44):
Yeah, I was just gonna say, I like Michigan State
is though, gets tough when it comes tournament time. You know,
he takes freshmen, he molds them in. By the time
the march madness gets here, they're they're baby not baby
freshmen anymore. They're strong freshmen. So I like Michigan State.
I like Purdue. They got some nice shooters, they get
you know, they moved the ball, and they have championship
for him. So I think it'll be interesting with the

(17:07):
Big Ten. It's a balance league that you got about
top six and then the rest of them. So so
there you go. But yeah, at that home court that
you got to watch for which you're playing.

Speaker 4 (17:16):
Big ten teams, there you go.

Speaker 5 (17:17):
And this one is Madison Square Garden neutral site game
today one thirty pm Pacific time.

Speaker 4 (17:22):
So I am liking a little bit more of that.

Speaker 5 (17:25):
Rutgers as they can represent for the Tri state area.
As I'm looking through some of these other schools, a
lot of the smaller schools are on the line today.
Let's take a look at one of them. Let's see
if any of these guys will know Robert Morris. I
had a gentleman from my show last season played at
Robert Morris back and they playing the Oakland out of Oakland, Michigan.

(17:46):
We know Oakland last year brought you a big time
money line in the tournament. Not looking like they're gonna
go to answer this year at nine to twelve, dog
is at Barking. You got Robert Morris at fourteen and
seven coming out of that particular conference minus one. We're
gonna have to suffer through some small school basketball to day.
They try to put cash in our pocket. Ronnie Bee
your thoughts, Well, I'll.

Speaker 6 (18:05):
Tell you what that one is reaching for me. You're
right about that, Yeah, you know, I do watch this.
You can make money with some of these small schools
in that. But you got to look at the totals
when you're playing the small schools because either one can
possibly tip in the winning basket. But with this type
of Robert Morris, I like the under if you follow them.
They don't run a fast paced game. They run a slow,

(18:28):
methodical pace, and the unders hit quite often for Morris.
So but other than that, I really don't handicap the teams.

Speaker 4 (18:34):
That's trump right, right.

Speaker 5 (18:36):
We look more at conferences again, and that was rotation
number six fifty one. The Oakland Grizzlies gave you some
March Maddness magic last year. Don't know if it's going
to happen versus Robert Morris. Rotation number six fifty two
minus two minus one twenty five small school snoozer. But
like Ronniev said, look at that under because the defense
typically will get played. Let's get back into some bigger
college basketball. Rotation number six sixty three the Boston College

(18:59):
Eagles plus nineteen.

Speaker 4 (19:01):
What's going on.

Speaker 5 (19:03):
Up in Boston Lord have mercy plus twelve twenty five.
This early in the season, when by one, lose by nine,
you can get you a new Ferrari total is one
to fifty.

Speaker 4 (19:12):
Going up against those.

Speaker 5 (19:13):
Carolina tar Hills again, Hubert Davis, I think he's still
the coach down there. Minus nineteen minus twenty seven hundred.
Ain't nobody paying a mortgage A couple of mortgages for
this game here, total of one to fifty. If I
deal with this game, it's going to be from the
total perspective, But my goodness, what's wrong with Boston College?

Speaker 6 (19:31):
Go ahead, well, well, I don't know what's wrong with
Boston College, but North Carolina's not playing like North Carolina. Yeah. Yeah,
for them, for them to be favored by nineteen over
anybody is you know, their home. Maybe they get a
little juice from that, But twelve and eight is not
North Carolina basketball. But this kind of game, I wouldn't

(19:51):
touch it. Like you said, if you want to play
the total, maybe the total, but I can't lay nineteen points,
and I can with Boston College take nineteen points. So
it's one of those you just maybe watch and enjoy,
but I don't even see how you can enjoy it.
I don't think it'll be er Katy.

Speaker 5 (20:05):
No, I'm telling you, Carolina not even ranked at twelve
and eight. What are we gonna have to see out
of the ACC And we're gonna take a short commercial
break here, Ronnie before we come back here. But what
do we got to see out of this college basketball landscape?
We can see what the NIL has done for college
football hasn't really affected it that much. I give college
football credit for that.

Speaker 4 (20:27):
I mean, you got guys like Cam Rising getting PhDs
in sports. But hey, that's fine, that's fine. We like
education here at VSX. If you're gonna stay in college
because you.

Speaker 5 (20:35):
Know you're gonna hold the clipboard in the NFL and
pick up a million dollars a year, Man, that's a hustle.

Speaker 4 (20:40):
And you know we don't knock hustles here.

Speaker 5 (20:42):
But college basketball, they're balling, they're playing hard. But the
teams that we expect to be good teams with big
names even conferences NIL starting to wipe them out. Man,
your thoughts on this, and then we'll take a quick
commercial break because I'm looking here at the Carolina roster.
They got four guys averaging double figures from Davis Jackson, Tremble,

(21:02):
and a guy named Candel. Then it precipitously drops off
from there and these guys are twelve and eight.

Speaker 4 (21:08):
Ronnie Bee, here's allus.

Speaker 6 (21:10):
I think basketball the NIL is affecting a little bit,
but I still I'm gonna go back to I think
it's coaching. If you have the coach, that's the leadership
and searing the team in the right direction and keep
the stable. That's why he is when Michigan State are
good every year, it's coaching. You know that you played
ball right, thank you. It's it's disciplined. To teach these

(21:32):
kids discipline, to teach them how to play the game
old school way, and you're gonna have a winning team.
A lot of these coaches come and go, and some
of them stay a little too long. So I think
North Carolina's problem might be a coaching situation.

Speaker 5 (21:45):
I got to look it out because Carolina got Bill
Belichick on the football field. They're trying to make some improvement.
We're gonna make some improvement when we come back. More
college basketball, more picks, more grease, more money.

Backtrack there national champions Oh high ile.

Speaker 4 (25:00):
State buck guys.

Speaker 5 (25:01):
But let's get back into this college basketball man, because
when we were on the commercial break, definitely small school day.
Let's take it to the house here UNLV. They're at
the Thomas and Max Center today taking on New Mexico,
taking on the Lobos UNLV at eleven and eight. This
is a team that we have been expecting and really
looking forward to improving over the last couple of seasons.

(25:22):
And you know, they've got coach Krueger Junior over there
trying to make some things happen.

Speaker 4 (25:26):
The NIL era, though, I thought would have.

Speaker 5 (25:29):
Been a little bit better to UNLV older players, juco transfers,
you know, bring in some of the big boys to
make it happen. But right now they're sitting at eleven
and eight, not doing too well in the Mountain West.

Speaker 4 (25:39):
And I'm like, come on, now, come on now.

Speaker 5 (25:43):
Remember when the Thomas and Mack was rocking back in
the day when they created it was like an NBA arena.
Now we've got some pedestrian basketball. They're the dalk position though.
Plus three, this is my talk of the day. I
like UNLV to be able to play here at home.
New Mexico really isn't scaring anyone. And when you talk
about college basketball here in the Mountain West, it is
a lot of high school players and players coming in

(26:03):
from mid majors transferring the end. So when you look
at it from the value perspective, do you think UNLV
at plus three today can get you some grease here?
Because again, like I said before, the total in this
game is one forty eight. Not looking for a big
scoring total out of UNLV, maybe sixty five to seventy
five points at tops. But New Mexico does play some
decent defense. How do you see this when shaping out?

Speaker 4 (26:23):
Ronnie? Go ahead?

Speaker 6 (26:25):
Well they with This is another one of those games.
I haven't seen too much of either one of these teams,
and you look at their records, it's understandably why they're
not drawing much attention. But you know, did you say
you and I don't have anything on my screen here
that shows the game Today's UNLV at home today?

Speaker 5 (26:41):
Yep, they're at home at twelve o'clock today running rebels
eleven and eight. All you gotta do is throw it
in to the search bar. Whatever you got there. New
Mexican Lobos UNLV. Like I said, you know, they have
some decent wins, But like I said, these guys don't
score very many points. I mean, sixty five to seventy
five points is the max that you're going to get
out of these guys. And when you go into these
types of situations here at home plus three, UNLV's got

(27:04):
to jump out to a fifteen point lead early if
they're going to cover that spread, because, as I said before,
not that strong on defense, hence the eight losses.

Speaker 4 (27:10):
Go ahead.

Speaker 6 (27:12):
Yeah, I kind of agree with you on that. When
you have the eight losses, you're not playing good basketball.
You come out one day, you feel good, the next
day you're playing up throwing up bricks. So I again,
I haven't looked at either one of these teams for
me make an opinion of it. But if you're at
a home court and only laying three, you should have
no excuse not to cover the line.

Speaker 5 (27:31):
There you go, there, my dog of the day. UNLV
are running rebels. You got to run it up to
the win column here. And as we get into February
and moving into March, when you start looking at some
of these conference tournaments and you start looking at a
lot of these teams again, coming back into the bigger conferences,
I got Kentucky Vanderbilt here you mentioned you were looking
at Kentucky, have also got Texas and Texas A and M.

(27:53):
Do you think that as it was back in the day,
you heard about these football schools and heard about these
basketball schools, But now do you think it's going to
be more of just the entire athletic program, if you will,
if you look at these universities with large nil budgets
and then you don't really necessarily see the win column exploding.

(28:13):
And then you look at schools where we don't know
how much money they're spending, especially in the SEC for basketball.

Speaker 4 (28:19):
Who would have thunk it right? Football, we would thought
would have got most of the money.

Speaker 5 (28:22):
But we're seeing a lot more parody in college basketball
outside of the top five. I think when we get
the tournament time, those are going to be feast or
famine type dogs here, because again I haven't I've looked
at a lot of the schedules of the top five
and they haven't beaten top competition. They're still playing in
software conference schedules, especially with the larger conferences here with

(28:43):
the SEC. So before we get too heavy into it,
Ronnie Mee, what are your thoughts on that? Do you
think the dilution of the conferences from the football side
now translating over into basketball is also going to affect
some of the quality of play here.

Speaker 4 (28:55):
And then also our betting go ahead.

Speaker 6 (29:00):
Is getting more and more complicated with the one and
done's now the nil. You really have to take a
look at the rosters and see these freshmen where they're
coming from, and what kind of schools and where they play,
and some of the talents that they have. Because it's
it's quick turnaround. It's you don't know who's going to
be here in the next year. So it's tough at

(29:20):
college basketball. But one and done football you got a
little more, they stay a little longer. But this basketball,
that's why you're seeing such parody with these five and
six pluck teams already.

Speaker 5 (29:30):
Yeah, I'm telling you, let's get into it. Rotation number
six sixty seven the Kentucky Wildcats minus two. I think
Cali Perry is still kicking around coaching them. I had
them mixed up there, two different families minus one thirty
never seen Kentucky. Price is cheap here going up against Vanderbilt.
Vanderbilt markedly better in basketball. Rotation number six sixty eight,
not necessarily a perennial doormat anymore in football.

Speaker 4 (29:52):
Either.

Speaker 5 (29:52):
We saw them take over the state of Alabama this year. Wow,
Remember Vanderbilt beat Auburn and the Crimson Tide absolutely wild.
But only giving you plus one ten is a home
doll today, this one's kind of a pick them total
has won sixty six Rhynie Be, you've been heavy on Kentucky.
How do you see these guys picking up at the
number nine seed in the top twenty five today?

Speaker 6 (30:13):
Go ahead, Well, I'll tell you what I do like
Kentucky today. I'm probably gonna sprinkle a little bit of
my own PiZZ of money on this game. I think
Vanderbilt's playing good ball, but I think they're coming up.
They just got to be pretty bad by Alabama the
other day.

Speaker 5 (30:26):
Yeah, what was it like one hundred and twelve or seventy?

Speaker 4 (30:30):
I mean, Alabama puts up a lot of points.

Speaker 6 (30:32):
But go ahead, Yeah, and I think Kentucky's gonna do
the same thing. I don't think Vanderbilt can defend the
three point shots, and they're not too strong on the boards,
and that's where Kentucky's strong, both with the height that
they have and a three point shooting they have, So
I think this line is real short. I think Vanderbilt
is getting a little more credit than they should right
now against these Blue Chippers. Bama showed it, and I

(30:53):
think Kentucky's going to continue the same thing.

Speaker 5 (30:55):
He likes Kentucky on the road. You know, there's so
many games here. I'm on my partner's website over at
CBS Sports. Shout out to I mean man Darryl Harris,
klas CBS eight here in Las Vegas, also a writer
for NBA dot Com. Have been trying to get him
on the show for the NBA because I'm not even
touching the NBA yet.

Speaker 4 (31:12):
Man, We're not even gonna get in it at yet.

Speaker 5 (31:14):
We still got a couple of more weeks of football
before I have to get into some pro basketball. But again,
this college basketball, back to college basketball. I was on
his show d Hoop University and I talked about it.
But the boys the ball, let's stay in the SEC.
Here rotation number six sixty nine Texas A and M
Maggie's another tight one. And this is why I said
the SEC is the conference you got to look at here,

(31:35):
because every single game I'm looking at on the line
today is tight and they're not trying to price it
to pay you out big time like in the ACC.
And that's where the big dog winning lines win by
one can get you something. But Texas didn't get it
done on the football field. Had a respectable end of
their season minus one and a half at home, though
not giving him.

Speaker 4 (31:52):
Too much credit as a home favorite.

Speaker 5 (31:54):
Minus one twenty five seems like a dog in sheep's
clothing here going up against the Texas A and M
team that just wants to improve their athletic department all around.
He got Texas A and M right now at number
thirteen in the top twenty five.

Speaker 4 (32:05):
Your thoughts, Roddy be go ahead, Well, here you go again.

Speaker 6 (32:09):
Exactly what you're looking at, number thirteen team coming into
a team that's thirteen and six on the season, number
twelve in the SEC. And there in Texas A and
M is a dog. So you got fifteen and fourteen.
It's ranked thirteen. This is not what I've been seeing
in college basketball over the past few years. So I
do here. I do like Texas JB. They just beat

(32:32):
at number twenty two Missouri team pretty nice the other
night by eight points. They got a good freshman. I can't.
I think his name is Trey Johnson, and he throws
up some good ball. He's good at the three, he's
good at defense. It's a good combination with the backcourt
for Texas. So I'm leaning Texas here. I kind of

(32:53):
like that team, even though they're thirteen and six. I
had him a couple of weeks ago against Oklahoma and
I got beat. But it's a good ballgame. It's today,
and I take the favorite here at home over a
number thirteen ranked team.

Speaker 4 (33:05):
There.

Speaker 5 (33:05):
You go talking about it here with Texas A and
M as a dog on the road. It is going
to be a road game. But you look at where
Texas is at. The rebounds are a little bit shaky.
Texas A and M controls the boards there. And when
you look at their big man up front, you got
that kid Phelps, very solid fifteen points, five rebounds a game.

Speaker 4 (33:25):
I don't know if Texas is.

Speaker 5 (33:27):
Going to be able to give that type of defensive
tenacity to stop their young point guard.

Speaker 4 (33:32):
And then when you look at the point.

Speaker 5 (33:33):
Totals seventy five, seventy six points a game for Texas
A and M and roughly eighty points for Texas here.
So when you look at it, from Texas being that
minus one home dog, you got the Aggies who are ranked,
Texas being unranked. Don't you want to take the ranked
team as a dog here? And even if you don't,
don't you want to look at that total here? The
totals looking nice here at one forty one. Seems like

(33:55):
you should be able to get an easy over today
if that defense is still slugging on both sides.

Speaker 6 (34:00):
Your thoughts, well, I'll tell you what Texas to me,
You're right, They're may be a little short for their
A and M on the boards, but the shooting percentage
is just the lopsided here. You got Texas that they
shoot forty eight percent to forty two percent for Texas,
A and M Texas and M ringks two hundred ninety third.

(34:21):
And shooting field goal percentage you got three point percentage.
You got thirty seven percent for Texas and thirty percent for.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
A and M.

Speaker 6 (34:30):
So if Texas comes out hot, I don't think A
and M can put up the points to keep up.
So we'll see what goes that should be. I mean,
the lion touch is going to be a close.

Speaker 4 (34:39):
Game, So there you go.

Speaker 5 (34:40):
I'm looking at that total, I wanted to go over.
If they can both give me at least seventy two points,
you should be able to get it. The total is
one forty one and a half. Taking a look at
another game here, pulling up on my screen. This is
from the Big Twelve. Because this is what you're going
to get today, guys. A lot of college basketball, a
lot of teams. I'm going through these lines here, we'll
try to find you where the cash is at. Going

(35:00):
back over to the Big twelve. Looks like we got Colorado.

Speaker 4 (35:02):
At nine to nine. Oh boy, they're like, I'm like,
I send me something.

Speaker 5 (35:07):
They said here Colorado, oh man, shout out to my
boys dad for sports betting, Ryan Garcia and all the
guys out there. But you got Arizona coming in twelve
and six. Both of these teams are unranked, but they
sent it to me because of the big spread. You
got a huge dog spread again with Colorado plus fourteen
and a half Arizona minus get this minus fifteen and

(35:27):
a half. I've seen it minus sixteen some places. Are
they kidding me? Are these teams that bad?

Speaker 4 (35:33):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (35:33):
Where you can look at it and say to yourself,
Colorado is maybe give you a big time money line,
because again, if the teams are already parody at five hundred,
somebody's got to win it. Rotation number six seventy five
Colorado Buffalo's college basketball plus fourteen plus eight fifty as
a road dog playing an Arizona team that's not playing
that much better. Rotation number six seventy six Arizona minus

(35:54):
fourteen minus fifteen hundred.

Speaker 4 (35:56):
Another margat's payment total is one fifty. Even.

Speaker 5 (36:02):
I'm saying, take Colorado into points at least. Come on, Ronnie,
be your thoughts go ahead.

Speaker 6 (36:07):
Well, I gotta agree with you here. Arizona's not the
same Arizona.

Speaker 3 (36:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (36:13):
I saw them get obliterated a couple of days ago.
I'm gonna pull up the schedule right now.

Speaker 10 (36:17):
It was.

Speaker 5 (36:18):
It was a terrible loss. I was watching it, and
I'm saying, this can't be the Wildcats. But nevertheless, go
ahead with your thoughts, Roddy.

Speaker 6 (36:24):
Gee, Yeah, this is not the same Arizona team we're
used to seeing run.

Speaker 4 (36:28):
Oh yeah, they lost to Kansas State sixty two to
forty seven.

Speaker 6 (36:32):
Brother, yeah, brother, yeah.

Speaker 4 (36:34):
Yeah, go ahead back on the sixteen.

Speaker 6 (36:37):
That's why I said they got they got six losses already,
and they're not showing that they have any potential for
the tournament. They not, They probably won't even make the tournament.

Speaker 5 (36:46):
Might get yes, Yeah, I don't think they're gonna make
it either. I'm talking about Colorado right now. Fourteen and
a half point dog. This is a team that's got
to play some basketball. Let's look at their schedule here,
and I got it pulled up here thanks to my
friends over at CBS Sports Power Plus. I got them
on my website as well too. Check out Paramount Plus
for some of these CBS College basketball games, a home
of college basketball. You look at some of the losses

(37:08):
that you know Colorado has had and they're really not
that bad losses, you know, except for the West Virginia loss.

Speaker 4 (37:14):
They got obliterated seventy three forty six.

Speaker 5 (37:17):
So back on that week of the sixteenth, both of
these teams got beat by teams that were ranked but
much better than them. They lost to Cincinnati, and then
you know, you got this thing coming up today, and
you're saying to yourself, well, if the Colorado Buffaloes are
going to come up with any type of cash flow,
any type of money for you, they got to try
to win this game today versus Arizona and the total
is one P fifty.

Speaker 4 (37:37):
Who do you think can step up for these guys?

Speaker 5 (37:39):
Or is it just going to be a situation where
the Colorado Buffaloes are like, look, we're not trying to
get into two more problems here, too many more problems.

Speaker 4 (37:45):
If you will go ahead.

Speaker 6 (37:48):
Yeah, I just think this will be a game that'll
be sloppy. I don't see either one of these teams
that play standard basketball. They're shooting is not that good.
The three point shooting they're both over two hundred and
sixtieth ranks, So it's not It's not a game that
I'd put much money on. If I did, I'd have
to take the points.

Speaker 4 (38:07):
There you go, taking the points, taking the points, taking
the points.

Speaker 5 (38:10):
Let's move along to some more college basketball here again
being brought to you by our friends at Foubo TV.
I mean, there are so many games on the schedule,
righty b just so many games, and when I'm looking
at teams that I would normally take a look at,
you know, and maybe some of the smaller conferences like
the matt Conference back in New York.

Speaker 4 (38:30):
Shout out Update New York.

Speaker 5 (38:32):
You got Sienna and I own a bolt scrape in
the bottom of the barrels. Can't get involved. Let's go
back over to the SEC. The boys down there said,
jab Mississippi State and South Carolina talk about it. I said, okay,
some more Southern basketball. You got Mississippi State play in
South Carolina. South Carolina plus seven at home South Carolina

(38:53):
ten and nine, one game over five hundred.

Speaker 4 (38:55):
I'm telling you and I else killing college basketball.

Speaker 5 (39:00):
It used to be you could get no name kids
come out of nowhere, do you know, and just be
great for their teams. But now you know, I wouldn't
pay these guys to be going five hundred. But again,
Ronnie Bee, going back into this game here, Mississippi State.
These guys are ranked number fourteenth, again the SEC dominating
the top twenty five, going up against the struggling South

(39:20):
Carolina team who's averaging ten points less than Mississippi State
today seventy one and a half for South Carolina, eighty
one and a half points.

Speaker 4 (39:28):
Per game for Mississippi State.

Speaker 5 (39:29):
The rebounds are closed and the assists per games are closed.
There's just South Carolina can't put the ball in the basket. Okay,
it's like they got a lid on a cup of
ocean water.

Speaker 4 (39:40):
Go ahead.

Speaker 6 (39:42):
Yeah, again, this is a really different kind of basketball
year here. You got a number fourteen team with four losses.
You got a South Carolina team that's almost five hundred.
This is this is a very different type of year
I've seen. Like you said, the parody is pretty much
everywhere except maybe the top five teams in the country. So,

(40:05):
like you said, you're looking at these teams, neither one
of them can shoot the basketball. So I don't the
under would be very attractive to me in this game,
but I don't think i'd touch it. But if you're
gonna play it, the under looks like a way to
go here with the total only being like one thirty eight.

Speaker 5 (40:18):
Am, and then you got South Carolina at home ten
and nine, giving you plus two to thirty five on
the money line. Do you think that any of these
young men have the ability to will themselves to win, because,
like I said, back in the day, and I know
we're old Star Wars, but from a betting perspective, betting
the dog used to be valuable that we understood certain
teams had grit, certain teams had that moxie. All we're

(40:40):
seeing now is guys trotting the ball out there, rolling around.
Oh now, this high level AAU.

Speaker 4 (40:44):
What we gonna do. We're gonna shade it and the
plays we run. When you forget it, just throw it
at the hoop and hope it go in. That's what
I'm seeing.

Speaker 6 (40:53):
Go ahead, Yeah, you're right on it. This is again
it goes back to coaching. JB. I don't see many
strong name coaches out there anymore. I know that A yeah.
And the ones that are strong coaches, you see, their
teams are good, they play good ball. Let's talk about it.

Speaker 5 (41:09):
Yeah, yeah, because the coaching didn't. Some of the coaches
already quit this season. I know, Uh, Jim Larnega from
Miami gone, he quit. He's like, I can't do this.
Talk about that for a little bit. I'm pulling up
some news on that. But I mean there was a
couple of coaches who've already quit college basketball.

Speaker 6 (41:27):
Go ahead, Well, I think that the NIL is disturbing
a lot of the coaches because they go out there
and recruit hard, they get their player, and then the
next year, wherever he's got the most money comes in
and steals their players. So I think that's why Stavid
left Alabama. And you see what happened in Alabama this year. Uh,
it's coaching. Everything is coaching is with the college kids.

(41:49):
It's the metterf it's football, basketball, baseball, it's coaching, and
that's That's not what's happening here. And the NIL is
making it very difficult for these coaches to handle what's
going on because they're not in control. The upper management
of the college is spending the money.

Speaker 5 (42:05):
Yeah, let's take a look at this ESBN headline that
came out a couple of days ago. Stepping into my world.
Here the world of lawsuits. X FSU players sue coach
Leonard Hamilton over the field NIL payments. JP told you
this what happened two three years.

Speaker 4 (42:20):
Ago when we did the.

Speaker 5 (42:22):
NIL show, talking about the clawbacks, the contractual agreements. Once
the lawyers and agents get involved, people that can make
money off of these kids legally, this is what they're
going to do. So you talk about Lenard Hamilton, who
was one of the best coaches, if you will, in
college basketball, especially in the ACC. Now he's got lawsuits.

(42:43):
You had Doug Gottlieb leave the broadcast booth where we
used to play and he went back over to coach
Wisconsin Green Bay, one of those teams out there. He
stakes can't find any players. So now you've got these
players again. You know, we talked about the Atthlese Luca thing.
Now that the head coach and the quarterback left, you know,

(43:06):
you don't get paid.

Speaker 4 (43:07):
These kids aren't gonna play.

Speaker 5 (43:08):
And when you talk about a lot of these other
head coaches who just don't want to get involved the
coaching tree, the coaching pipeline, I mean, just to touch
on the NBA, what is JJ Reddick doing with the likens?

Speaker 10 (43:20):
What is this?

Speaker 4 (43:22):
Go ahead?

Speaker 6 (43:24):
Yeah, it goes like you said, the coaching in the
NIL is destroying college games. That you're going to see
more and more parody, and you're going to see less
and less quality of teams that are up there that
are going to compete. These kids are playing for money. Now.
I remember back in our day, you couldn't even if
somebody had a brand new car as a player, you go,

(43:45):
what the heck's going on under the table.

Speaker 4 (43:47):
Yeah, that was my problem. Remember that. Roddie will never
let me forget it. But no, I had a job.

Speaker 5 (43:55):
I worked at the bank and I saved some money,
and I went to college with the car, and next
thing I know, I got a letter taped to my
door after I came back from practice.

Speaker 4 (44:03):
Now, mind you, I wasn't like a recruited player.

Speaker 5 (44:06):
I was Daniel purpur walk On and these guys had
this thing, Oh, we got to check your financial Hey,
we got to check your money all in my pockets.
And I'm like, look, I had a job and I
didn't go to jail. Why are you treating me like
an arts criminal? And that's one of the main reasons
why I went into the world of business early and
put the ball down. I saw it twenty five years ago.

(44:26):
And now you look at these kids who actually are
getting the ability to make some income and they're just
not putting out a great product. But Ronnie b we're
gonna take a short commercial break, come back, get our
best players today, and we're gonna get out of here
early today. College basketball, there are so many games we
could do a nine hour show with you today, but

your folks and family out there again. We're glad to
be back with you this weekend tomorrow. Be sure to

(44:48):

gonna be talking this NFL playoff series. We got the
Commanders versus the Eagles, and then you got the Chiefs.
It's again playing the Bills. Kind of a robin there.
But Ronnie, be your thoughts and then we'll come back.

Speaker 4 (45:02):
Get out of her gut.

Speaker 6 (45:04):
Yeah, tomorrow should be a good show for us. You're
talking football again, and I think it should be too.
Good matchups and entertaining games tomorrow. So we'll see what happens.
I hoping the Reps stay out of the game.

Speaker 4 (45:15):
I know, man, I know, I know. They had a
meme with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Speaker 5 (45:20):

Ronnie b and we're giving you our best plays today.
So Ronnie, go ahead, tell us where they can find
some cats.

Speaker 6 (48:54):
Go ahead, Well, Ty, what I'm gonna play myself here.
I'm gonna take i With State minus the nine and
a half against Arizona State. I think Arizona State's got
a couple of their guards up, and I think that's
where Iowa stayed strong on the back court. They play
strong defense, and if you don't have guards on the floor,
you're not gonna be able to keep up Iowa State
minus nine and a half.

Speaker 4 (49:14):
There you go.

Speaker 5 (49:14):
I'm liking Rutgers. That's Madison Square Garden today. They got
to pick it up. Gotta show me something. Give me
the points with Rutgers, and then UNLV have taking them
talk moneylone. You gotta win me a game here at home.
If you can't score sixty five, make sure the other
team can't score fifty five.
