Hi, and thanks for tuning in today. This is your host,
doctor and evangelist and maybe veteran k l Rich. Thanks
for tuning in today. Today is Tuesday, November the nineteenth
of twenty twenty four. I pray that you've had a

(01:00):
blessed and wonderful week so far and that the remainder
of this week will continue to be blessed for you
as well as we today are speaking to our veterans. Hello,
fellow veterans and those that are active duty Army, Navy,
Air Force, Marines, our Airspace, Coastguard, National Guard. We want

(01:25):
to just thank everyone for tuning in today. Also for
those who are first responders, are firefighters, our police officers
and those that are our paramedics and others who are
on the field first and foremost. We want to just
thank you all for tuning in today again. I am

(01:46):
your host, doctor ko Rich, fellow Navy veteran, and I
pray that your week as well as today be blessed
for you. Now just to let you all know, next
week next week, I will not be bringing any podcast
next week for veterans in christ that's the Thanksgiving week,

(02:10):
so we'll pick up the following week. So that Tuesday
of next week and that Thursday, of course, which is
on Veterans Day, we will not have any podcast, but
we will pick up the following week. So we will
have one this coming up Thursday, Lord willing, but we
will not be having we will not have any podcast

(02:31):
the following week, but we will pick up after the
Thanksgiving holiday. How you are doing today, I just pray
that you all are blessed as well. You know what
you were blessed. If you woke up this morning, you
are blessed. If you are in your right mind, you
are blessed. Regardless of what struggles you may be dealing with,

(02:53):
you are blessed. There's always something. Sometimes people say, well,
I don't have anything to thank you God for or anything,
but you can thank God for waking you up this morning.
You can thank God that you have the mobility of
your limbs. And some of you may have lost limbs
when you're in when you've served in the military. But

(03:14):
if you can move your eyes, you're blessed. If you
can hear me right now, you're blessed. If you can
speak right now, you're blessed. You may have lost a
couple of legs, but if you still have your arms,
you're blessed. You're still blessed. I know it's easier said
than done. I know I've never lost a limb, but
you know what, in all things Paul talked about the

(03:37):
Apostle Paul. He said he learned to be content in
all things. And it is not easy. It is not easy,
but you know what. I worked with many veterans some
years ago. I was working at a veteran rehabilitation facility
while I was going to school at the time for
my undergrad and this was when I was in my

(03:57):
early twenties, and I saw those veterans who had lost
limbs and I got a chance to work with them,
and they would strap on. We would help them strap
on those artificial limbs, and they were still trying to
have a productive life in society. They were thankful just
to be alive. And I want to just let you

(04:19):
know that even if whatever situation you may be facing
right now, we can always thank God for his grace,
thank God for his mercy. And let me just let
you know one more thing. For those of you who
may have lost some limbs while you were serving, let
me just tell you this. One day you stay faithful
to God, one day you're gonna have a new leg.

(04:42):
You're gonna have a new arm, you're gonna have a
new hand, You're gonna have everything new, because we're gonna
take off this destructible and put on in the indestructible.
We're not gonna have these diseased bodies right now. And
so you may have rashed something why you were in
the military serving, But guess what, stay faith for the God,

(05:05):
and you're gonna have all things new.

Speaker 4 (05:07):
Though.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
But the word of God lets us know that God
will create a new heaven and a new earth. These
old things are gonna be passed away, and all things
will become new. And guess when when he comes back back,
we're gonna be changed in the twinkling of an eye.
Come on now, So you might have lost something right now,
but guess what You're gonna get something better, all right?

(05:28):
And I want, I just wanna just open up this
morning with a word of prayer. Dear Heaven me, Father God,
we just thank you God for allowing us to come
into your presence this morning. Lord. We thank you Lord
for all that you've done. We thank you for all
that you're doing in the lives of your people today. Lord,
I want to just pray over all the veterans right

(05:48):
now and active do the military and their families and
first responders right now, in the name of Jesus, I
ask that you will Lord, encourage them, Lord, deliver them
law from where situations they may be facing right now. Lord,
I ask Lord that they will have victory, because you
already have gotten the victory for us. Lord, we ask

(06:10):
Lord that we will walk in that victory regardless of
the challenges that come our way. Lord, we ask Lord
that you will be with that veteran right now that's
feeling lonely and depressed and suicide and right now, Lord,
we rebuke the enemy in the name of Jesus. Right now. Lord,
we know that we're the head and not to tell
with above or not benieve. Lord, and you have given

(06:31):
us the victory. You didn't give us a spirit of fear,
but love, power and a sound mind. And so Lord,
I ask right now that you will give sound minds
to those Lord, who may be dealing with PTSD, those
that may be dealing with anxiety, those that may be
dealing with stress, those that may be dealing with worry.
Right now in the name of Jesus. Lord. Those that

(06:53):
feel like others do not understand. But we know that
you understand, Lord, even when they come back to Warlord
and they may have changed on the inside. Lord, we
know Lord that you can make all things new, and
you can rejuvenate us. Lord, in the name of Jesus.
And so I pray over everyone that's in the battlefield

(07:13):
right now in the name of Jesus. Lord. We know
that our nation, Lord is trying to go the war Lord,
and we know that you proclaim these things will be
that in the very end that we will see wars
and rumors of War's Lord, But we ask a hedge
of protection around your people today. In the name of Jesus. Lord,

(07:35):
we ask right now that every child, Lord, the teenagers,
with those that are eighteen, I'm talking about those eighteen
and nineteen that's in the military right now, Lord, that
you will protect them. Lord. We ask Lord that you
would cover their parents, cover their families, cover their loved one's. Lord,
we pray for the families of active duty. Lord, we
pray for the families of the military. We pray for

(07:55):
the families of the first responder's. Lord, we pray that
you would cover your people today. Lord, we ask Lord
that there'll be a witness to out throughout all the world. Lord,
we ask that Lord, that they will stay in you
right now, and those who do not know you would
get to know you because of the example that someone
next to them is showing. Lord, we ask all these things, Lord,

(08:18):
in your Son's name, Jesus, you're sure of hummershid. Thank God, Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen.
I pray that you all are having a blessed and
glorious day today in the name of the Lord, our Savior.
Because he died, he came, he died, he rose, and

(08:39):
he's coming back again. And I pray that you are
ready for his return. We don't know the day, we
don't know the hour, but we know that he is
returning and his word would not returning to him void,
but it will accomplish everything that he set out for
it to do. Amen. All right, So today we're gonna

(09:04):
be talking about some things that some veterans deal with,
and even those in active duty substance abuse. Substance abuse,
we're gonna be talking about that today, about alcoholism and
those that deal with are struggling with alcohol abuse, drug abuse,
and this is something that's prevalent in the military. Yes,

(09:27):
there are people that are addicted to certain types of
substances and and it's a lot of us dealing with
the stress of everyday life. And so we want to
just talk to you and know that you can get treatment,
you can get help. One of the things that when
I was in the military, I did know soldiers that

(09:49):
were dealing with substances or whatever, and they would they
would try to help them. Now, the choice is up
to you whether you're gonna seek treatment, go for treatment
and allow yourself to be helped through was offered. But
you want to make sure that you do not fall
into that. So if you're hanging around people that are

(10:13):
drinking and doing drugs and everything. Just as we tell
young people, please try to get you a better association
of friends. But I want to go before we get
into that. I want to go to go to the
Book of Genesis, the Book of Genesis, and Genesis chapter nine,

(10:33):
Genesis chapter nine and starting with verse eighteen, because we
know that during this particular time, God had destroyed the world.
He had destroyed the world by allowing a flood to come.
And we know that only eight people are saved. Nor
his sons, his three sons, and we know that his

(10:58):
wife and their wives, and so you're talking about total
of eight people out of the whole world. Only eight
people were saved in this flood. God allowed Nor and
told him to build an arc, and God gave him
the dimensions and how he was supposed to build the arc.
And God saved so many animals, pairs of clean and

(11:20):
unclean animals, and all kinds of different wildlife and everything.
And so after this, we know that the world had
to start all over again, and they started all over
again just with these eight people. And so, but something
took place, something took place after the flood and so

(11:42):
I want to go to Genesis, chapter nine and verse eighteen,
and I want to just start off a little bit
because if you have ever now some of you may
not have ever drunkeny alcohol. Okay, I cannot raise my
hand to that because I have.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
You.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
And often times they you know, you would have those
that tell you that everyone can't handle the same amount
of alcohol. If you are a non drinker and you
try to drink for the first time, you might find
yourself not able to drink as much as that person
who is used to it. All right, So and then

(12:21):
it also deals with your different body weights and and
if you've eaten that day. So there's a lot of
factors that go into it. Now we know that the
law of the land says, I believe in most places,
it's point point zero eight. If I'm right, point zero
eight uh if you if you're over that, then you're

(12:42):
over the legal limit for your UH for being able
to drive without being considered under the influence. So if
you're over the I believe it's point zero eight. If
your point one, I think that's definitely you're over. So
sometimes people would take cards with them so they could

(13:02):
know what they could drink and what they couldn't drink. Also,
people were have been known they probably still do, to
get designated drivers. So if you're going somewhere and you
know that you're gonna partake an alcohol, then the responsible
person would make sure that they have a designated driver,
even if that's calling and having Uber on your app,

(13:25):
so that you will not be drinking and endanger your
life as well as the lives of other people. Now,
for me, I don't drink anymore. I don't drink any
you know, any type of alcohol at all. But for
some people who do partake in it, I want to
tell you need to be very careful. One thing. When

(13:47):
your mind is cloudy with alcohol, you are not able
to allow the Holy Spirit to come in and be
able to talk to you. You're not in your right mind, okay,
because alcohol distroys the mind. And so this is what
happened in Genesis chapter nine, verses eighteen and reads. The

(14:10):
sons of Noah who came out of the ark were
sham Ham and jayfith Ham was the father of Canaan,
and I pay attention to that. Right there, These were
the three sons of Noah, and from them came the
people who were scattered all over the whole earth. So
I want to just stop right there. So remember that

(14:30):
God had destroyed the whole earth, all right. So everyone
that came from that, that were the descendants on the earth,
came from this family right here, sham Ham and Jayfith
all right. So in verse twenty nor a man of
the soil proceeded to plant a vineyard. Okay, So Noah

(14:56):
wanted some grapes. He wanted something to drink, all right,
So he planted a vineyard, and he and out came grapes,
all right. He planned his vineyard. But in verse twenty
one it says when he drank some of his wine,
he became drunk and lay uncovered inside his tent. All right.

(15:22):
So we don't know all the conditions when it came
to Noor and him drinking. Did he intentionally want to
get drunk or not? Now it could have been, you know,
I'm just laying out a few things. So the Bible
doesn't say, but you know, when you're thinking about it,
could it have been where he was used to drinking
a certain amount before the flood, maybe just a little

(15:45):
bit of wine, and maybe his body couldn't handle that amount.
Due to him being all that time he spent on
in the boat, and so your body kind of changes.
So whereas you might have been able to at one
point in your life, been able to drink a certain amount,
well if you try to come back to it after
a certain certain period of time and your body's no

(16:06):
longer used to that amount, then you could possibly be
a little, you know, on the drunken and intoxicated side,
because your body can no longer handle that. Let me
use an example. When I was in boot camp many many,
many many years ago. Okay, you don't even seem like, boy,
it's been thirty years since I entered boot camp. But

(16:31):
we had gone without having any junk food. Okay, so
we ate three square meals a day, and we weren't
able to eat the chips and the candies and all
that kind of stuff during the time when we were
in boot camp until I believe it was week six,
week six, and on week six, our our our boot

(16:59):
camp leader, they were like, oh, you all can go
to the store and you all can get your junk
food and you can get whatever of your heart's desire.
Lou didn't we know that was a setup? Okay, so
we was like, yay, we could go and get all
this candy or whatever we want. So I remember, I

(17:22):
don't remember what all I bought, but I do remember
buying some Cheetos, Okay, because I've always loved Cheetos. So
I bought some Cheetos. What did I do that for?
After weeks of not having any junk food of that
magnitude because we only ate what was at the galley. Okay,

(17:43):
So after after weeks of not having any junk food
I introduced my body to that garbage again that those cheetos,
and I got sick. I got really, really sick. I
saw it throwing up not only me, other my other

(18:08):
bunk makes and everything. They too got sick off of
whatever junk food they had. And so our trainers, our
boot camp trainers, our boot camp instructors, they just laugh.
They got a kick out of it. They gotta kick
out of it because they said they knew what We're

(18:30):
gonna get sick because we had not you know, our
bodies had gotten used to not having that in our system.
So when we reintroduced it into our bodies again, then
our bodies was letting us know, this is not healthy
for you. And we got sick. It's the same way
a lot of times. If you've been a vegetarian. I

(18:53):
used to be a vegetarian. And when you be a vegetarian,
if you've gone a long time without having meat and
you and introduced that meat back to your system, you're
prone to get sick because your body's no longer used
to it. Well, this could have been Noah's case. You know,
the Bible doesn't say, but he could have thought, oh,

(19:14):
I'm gonna just drink some wine, you know, just have
a glass of wine, and maybe he got he he
couldn't handle it anymore because maybe it had been a
long time since he had it. We don't know, but
that's just something to think about. But in verse twenty one,
it says when he drank some of the wine, he
became drunk and lay uncovered inside his tent. That means

(19:36):
that he was naked, Okay, he didn't have any clothes on,
so he went in. He was in his tent and
was drunk passed out. Okay, So for those of you
who may have been one's professional drinkers, you know what
I'm talking about, because alcohol would make you just go
to sleep. You know, I've done that pass out. Yeah,

(19:57):
we don't even want to go there. He passed out, Okay, okay,
But in verse twenty two, in verse twenty two, Ham,
the father of Canaan, saw his father naked and told
his two brothers outside. So you had Ham. He didn't

(20:18):
do anything to cover his father. He went and told
the other brothers. Now, then when you listen to this story,
it seemed like he may have made maybe he was
making some jokes about his father being drunk, but he
did not do anything to cover his shame, all right.
So but Sham and jayfifth took a garment and laid

(20:40):
it across their shoulders. Then they walked in backward and
covered his father's naked body. Their faces were turned the
other way so they would not see their father naked.
So you had one brother that went, oh, dad is drunk,
he's nicked in the ten or whatever. But then these

(21:01):
two brothers, Sham and jayfith, instead of you know, making
jokes and mocking their father, they took the cover and
they walked backwards. They wanted to make sure that they
did not see their father's uh in his in his
shameful state at that time. Okay, So they took the

(21:23):
cover walked backwards, covered him up so that he will
not be exposed. You know, sometimes you need some people
like that in your life. Sometimes when you're going through situations.
Instead of going in gossiping about oh what did you
see and did you hear? And do you know, you
need somebody that say, hey, I'm gonna cover you, not

(21:44):
meaning cover your crime, but cover you to say, you
know what, in your in your moment of indiscretion, I'm
going to make sure that you're covered because you really
don't know what you're doing right now. And so you
need someone that's gonna cover you in prayer. You need
someone that's gonna keep confidence. You need someone I'm not

(22:06):
talking about things that's wrong and illegal and you've done
something to someone. But the thing is is that they
instead of exposing his shame, they covered him up his indiscretion.
So in verse twenty four, when Noah awoke from his
wine and found out what his youngest son had done

(22:27):
to him, he said, cursed be Canaan, the lords of slaves.
Will he be to his brothers. He also said, Praise
be to the Lord, the God of Sham. May Caanan
be the slave of Sham. May God extend Jafu's territory.
May Jayfath live in the tents of Sham, and may

(22:48):
Canaan be the slave of Jayfath. After the flood, Noah
lived three hundred and fifty years. Nor lived a total
of nine hundred fifty years, and then he died. So
Nor pronounced a curse on Ham, who was a father
of Canaan, because of what he had done. Instead of

(23:10):
he being instead of him being discreet, he went and
flapped and blabbed it and told of his father's indiscretion.
But the other two brothers were more mature, They acted
more maturely, and so they didn't want to see their
father disgraced, so they covered him up. And one thing

(23:33):
you when you are in the military, you know, it's
it's a it's a different life in the military compared
to civilians, is more of a i'm gonna say maybe
a family unit in a sense, because you all have
that uniform in common, you all have that goal in

(23:54):
common where you're serving. Regardless of what branch you're in,
you you still are having a common goal, and that's
to serve your first, serve God, and serve your country.
And so there are times when your fellow brothers and
sisters in the military may need your help, and instead

(24:18):
of blasting it, be that one that they can talk to,
that they can confide in, that they know that, you know,
I can talk to this person, and guess what, it
stops right there. It won't go any further. You may
be a veteran and you may have served, and you
may need someone to talk to, and oftentimes it's easier

(24:38):
maybe to talk to other veterans. But let me just
say this, be careful even with that, because some of
the things I be seeing on the sites they some veterans.
You be like, well, dog, what in the world you know?
But the thing is is that everyone needs someone that
they can confide in, someone that they can talk to.

(24:58):
Oftentimes people turn to drugs and alcohol. They feel like
there's no one else that I can talk to, no
one understand. This is something that can take the pain away.
This is something that I can turn to when I
feel like I can't turn to anyone else. So therefore
that bottle or those drugs become that person's confidant in

(25:22):
the sense. But the thing is is that you don't
want to turn to something that's gonna make your situation
worse in the long run. Let me just say this
that if you don't have anyone else you feel that
you can turn to, turn to Jesus. He should be
our first go to before we go to anyone else.

(25:47):
Go to Jesus. Why because he has all the answers.
And whereas you might have a ham in this case
that will expose you. Jesus died and his blood covers you.
All you have to do is go to him. The
Bible says, confess our sins, and he is faithful and

(26:12):
just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
And we can look at Sham and Jayfith as a
type of covering like Jesus did for us. They didn't
expose what was done. They covered until he was right

(26:35):
in his right mind. And Jesus too covered us. He
covered us in our sins, he covered our indiscretions. He
covered us when we were in the land of lost,
Jesus covered us. We're going to take a quick break
and we'll be back in just a moment.

Speaker 4 (26:58):
Say that in the Man, the child is mighty fine.
They say that in the Yummy, the child is mighty fine.

don't wanna go, don't wanna go, but they will len
me go, will.

Speaker 2 (29:13):
Len me go?

Speaker 3 (29:19):
And that is they say in the Army. Oh that
is by Jeremy Michael Fleming. Now that is that is
a funny cadence right there. And I pray that you
can go. You actually go to listen to some of
his cadences on YouTube and Spotify. All right, all right,

(29:39):
So we were discussing discussing substance abuse for its alcoholism
and and I want to just read you something from
the American Addiction Center and this is uh with veterans
Veteran Addiction dot Org, Veteran Addiction dot ORG. So the
IT talks about the veteran population are at an increased

(30:02):
risk for using alcohol or drugs and problematic ways. This
is due to a variety of experiences linked directly to
military service, military culture, exposure to stressors and trauma related
to the service or combat. The development of mental health
disorders including PTSD and chronic pain, or physical health issues

(30:27):
can influence substance use. But I want to read you
a little bit more on the statistics on substance abuse.
It reads that approximately eleven percent of veterans who visit
a medical facility run by the Department of Veteran Affairs
for the first time have a substance use disorder otherwise

(30:48):
known as ISSUD. Bench drinking or consuming a lot of
alcohol in a short time is one of the most
common issues that veterans face. Rists may abuse substances in
response to mental health disorders, to cope with readjusting to
civilian life, or to manage pain. Substance use has been

(31:10):
linked to trauma, homelessness, mental health disorders, physical health risks,
increased risks of suicide, and problems in relationships and at work.
Statistics on substance abuse and veterans show that among those
who have SUD, which is substance use disorder, more than

(31:32):
eighty percent abuse alcohol, nearly twenty seven percent abuse illegal drugs,
and about seven percent abuse both alcohol and illegal drugs.
And these are some high statistics just with veterans. And

(31:55):
one of the things that you will find is, well
I just mentioned is trying to transition from military life
to civilian life. And people may think, oh, it's just
going from one job to the other. Actually it's not.
It's totally different. It's a totally different life when you're

(32:16):
in the military than when you're not. And so sometimes
veterans will find themselves filling out of place, they are displaced.
They have a hard time transitioning back, especially those who
may have spent years in the military and you've built relationships,

(32:37):
and even when you go from one command to the
next command or sure duty or ce duty or whatther
case may be, you're still in this tight unit of
military personnel where even when you have to change and
you get a change of orders, it's still it's still

(32:59):
military life is different than when you're not in the military.
So alcoholism is I want to just read about it. Alcohol,
alcohol abuse and being s drinking or common among active
d the military personnel, and this behavior may continue and
turn into alcoholism after separating from service. Veterans who abuse

(33:23):
alcohol or at a greater risk of experiencing or committing violence,
suffering from negative health consequences, and having a shorter lifespan.
Alcohol is the primary substance for sixty five percent of
veterans entering treatment centers, nearly twice the rate of civilians.

(33:47):
Male veterans are more than twice as likely to be
diagnosed with an alcohol use disorder than female veterans. And
in twenty eighteen, twenty five thousand veterans age eighteen to
twenty five had an AUD in the past year, and

(34:10):
we want these are some very alarming statistics. In twenty eighteen,
eight hundred and seventy four thousand veterans aged twenty six
and older had an AUD in the past year. And
so that's alcohol use disorder. Alcohol use disorder. Drug use

(34:32):
among veterans may include illicit or prescription drug abuse, prescription
opiates opioids which may be described prescribed to manage service
connecting injuries or chronic pain. How the potential to lead
to abuse or addiction. Marijuana is the most commonly used
illicit drug, with three point five percent of veterans reporting

(34:56):
use in the last month and two point three million
veterans reporting use in the last year. Nearly eleven percent
of veterans were admitted to treatment centers for heroin use.
More than six percent of veterans were admitted to treatment
facilities for cocaine use. Male veterans are twice as likely
to develop an addiction to drugs than female veterans. In

(35:19):
twenty eighteen, forty five thousand veterans were diagnosed with addiction
to heroin, and in twenty eighteen, forty one thousand veterans
were diagnosed with an addiction to painkillers. Veterans are most
likely to misuse hydrocoding, and this is if you are

(35:41):
dealing with any type of substance abuse issues. Please enroll
in the VA. If you're part of the VA system,
enroll in the VA healthcare. Talk to your primary care
physician tell them that you want to check into a
drug rehabilitation for that's for veterans, or counselor someone who

(36:04):
can talk to you because you don't want to harm
yourself and or others due to being under the influence
of drugs and or alcohol. The presence of mental health
illness and SuDS are also known as cold occurring disorders.
Especially it's especially common with veterans. Mental health such as depression, anxiety,

(36:29):
and PTSD can lead to substance efforts. Substance use efforts
to self medicate symptoms or manage stress make vets more
prone to developing SUD. In addition, these mental health diagnoses
can result from any combination of factors genetic predisposition, the
stresses of being deployed, exposure to combat and traumatic events, injuries,

(36:55):
and the challenges of reintegrating into civilian society. So again,
you want to talk to someone if you are experiencing
any of these. Between eighty two and eighty three percent
of veterans who served in Afghanistan and in Iraq with
an SUD had at least one co occurring disorder. Veterans

(37:20):
who have SUD or three to four times more likely
to be diagnosed with depression. Approximately thirty seven to fifty
percent of veterans who served in Afghanistan and Iraq or
diagnosed with at least or were diagnosed with at least
one mental illness, and nearly ten percent of veterans have
symptoms of anxiety, while about eleven percent have symptoms of depression.

(37:44):
And there's more that we can go into, and we
don't have time to go into everything right now. But
even with this addiction, you have those that have been
diagnosed with PTSD, oftentimes they are victims of the s
u D. Those who have attempted suicide well were oftentimes

(38:07):
may have been victims of the SUD. There was nearly
seventeen veterans suicide suicides every day, and that is that
is a lot of suicide. Veterans are disproportionately affected by
homelessness and this often includes UH or can be contributed

(38:28):
to mental health issues, physical health issues, difficulties adjusting to
civilian life, trauma, various various things contribute to them being homeless,
and part of that is dealing with SUD. You know
you can call I want. I want to give you

(38:50):
a number that you can call nine to eight nine
I'm sorry, nine to eight seven nine three four nine
eight one. That's the American Addiction set. If you need help,
you can also call one eight hundred eight two seven
one thousand. They When you call the number, it will
often ask you if you are thinking of suicide or

(39:11):
if you need help in any type of mental health area,
talk to someone. They can direct you to the right
person at the one eight hundred eight to seven one thousand.
That's one eight hundred eighty seven one thousand, and that
is the national Veteran number for all types of information,

(39:34):
which also includes being able to be directed to a
mental health counselor who can help you with whatever situation
you're dealing with. All Right, we don't have time to
go through everything today, but I pray that this information
has been a blessing to you. And if you are
a veteran in Christ, pray for your other fellow veterans.

(39:57):
Pray for those who may be going through very situations.
Pray for those that may be struggling with PTSD or
homelessness or mental illness, the various challenges of transitioning from
military life to civilian life, because as we all know
that who have served is a total different vibe when

(40:21):
it comes to the civilian world and military life. And
if you serve long enough, one day you will be
a veteran. The thing is is that getting a hit
start on those issues that may be or may present
a challenge to you during that time. If you can

(40:43):
get a head start on understanding about those things now,
then they can help you and or someone else in
the future. All Right, this is doctor and Navy veteran
K l. Rich and I pray that you have a
blessed day, a bless week. Until next time.
