our commanding officer in this.

Field called life.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
Whether you are here for spiritual encouragement, information on veteran benefits, PTSD,
suicide prevention, or want to know the latest military news,
we are here to serve you.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
Now Here is your host, doctor k l Rich.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
Hi, and thanks for tuning in today. This is Veterans
in Christ and I pray that you are having a
bless and wonderful day on this October twenty fourth of
twenty twenty four, this Thursday. I am your host, doctor
ka a Rich and Navy veteran, and I pray that
(01:02):
the remainder of this week will continue to be blessed
for you as well. Rather you are a veteran who
has already served, or your active duty in there in
the Navy, Air Force, Army, Marines, Coast Guard. Are you
a first responder or your reservist. Are you a family
(01:24):
member of someone who is serving or who has served.
We want to welcome you to this particular podcast, and
one of the things we love to do on this
podcast is thank everyone who is or have served. Again,
I want to just thank you for setting aside your life,
(01:45):
signing on the dotted line to serve your nation. And
most importantly for those who are veterans in Christ or
even if you're actively serving, we are all still serving
in Christ. So rather you have hung up uniform and
you're no longer serving on the active duty status, or
(02:05):
if you're currently serving, or if you're a reservist on
standby whatever, we want to just steal. Understand that Heaven
is always hiring, okay, and therefore we don't take a
break from our service in the Lord, and we want
to just thank you again, thank you today for serving. Today.
(02:28):
I want to we're going to talk about having the
whole armor of God, wearing the whole armor of God,
but before we get into that, I would like for
us to open up this morning with a word of prayer.
As I always say, prayer is our best weapon of
(02:51):
defense against the enemy. And we know that the enemy
comes to kill, steal, and destroy. So therefore, in order
for us to be able to be geared up and
prepared for the enemy's attacks. Guess what we have to
have our weapon of defense, which is prayer, that communication
(03:13):
with God that allows us to stay strong. And because
if we are not in a posture of prayer continuously,
then the devil is able to come in and he's
able to take advantage of us when we're at our weakest.
And we are at our weakest when we are not
(03:35):
in the posture of prayer. And so this morning, whatever
it is that you are maybe struggling with, whatever it
is you may be facing, whatever it is that you're
dealing with. Though you might say, you know what, life
is going okay for me right now? Then good praise
God for that, because we know that as soon as
(03:57):
the devil gets an opportunity, he's coming right back around.
Who's coming right back around? Or try to shoot some
more dars. But you know what, we will always be
able to be prepared with prayer. So let us open
up with a word of prayer. Dear Heavenly Father God,
we just thank you God for allowing us to come
into your presence this morning. Lord, We thank you Lord
(04:20):
for all that you have done for us. Lord, we
thank you for the protection that you have given us. Lord,
and times pass and even now, Lord, we know that
our guardian angels are watching over us. Lord, and we
thank you Lord for allowing us to have angels that
surrounds us. Lord that do your work. Lord, They are
(04:41):
your messengers and they protect us. Lord. We ask Lord
that you will forgive us for all our sins. Lord.
We ask Lord that you will help us to overcome
those things that are not like you. Lord. We ask
that you will help us to think like you, talk
like you, walk like you, and most importantly sit admit
to you, so that we would be led by you. Lord.
(05:03):
We ask Lord that we will not be left to
our own devices. Lord, but you will help us Lord,
to follow you and obey you.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
Lord.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
We know you are our commanding officer. We know that
you are the captain of our ship. Lord, and so Lord,
we ask that we will guide, that you will guide us,
and we will go where you will have us to go. Lord. Lord.
We ask right now, Lord, that those that are up
under the sound of my voice, Lord, that have served
in the military, Lord, that they will know that their
service is not over when it comes to heaven, and
(05:34):
that we all have something to do in the Kingdom Lord,
for your glory. Lord. We ask right now, Lord that
those that are serving on active duty, Lord, that you
would be with them, guide them and protect them, Lord,
and help them to be examples for you wherever they
may be, wherever they're station rather sure duty or overseas,
(05:56):
or wherever they are, Lord, we ask that they will
be examples for you You even in space. Lord. We
just thank you for that. Lord.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
Lord.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
We ask Lord that you will be with the family
members of those Lord who have served and those that
are serving. Lord, give them protection, give them your guidance, guidance,
give them your wisdom, Lord, that only comes from the
Holy Spirit. We just thank you, Lord. We thank you
Holy Spirit. We invite you in to our hearts today. Lord,
(06:24):
Lord Jesus, we thank you for what you did on
the cross for our sins, so that we may have
life and have it more abundantly. We thank you for
all that you went through and en do it for
our sake. Lord. We thank you for just loving us
enough that you are willing to come and die for us. Lord.
We just thank you today, Lord, and we praise your name. Lord.
(06:45):
We pray for those that may be abundant the sound
of my voice who have not received you yet, that
they will accept you as the Lord and Savior and
live for you and give their hearts and their lives
to you. Lord. We ask all these things, and your
son's name, Jesus, you're shu Ahamma shik thank God. Amen, Amen,
(07:10):
Well on this blessed day. And it is a blessed day.
If you woke up this morning, you are blessed. If
you are above ground, you are blessed. If you are
able to be in sound mind, you are blessed. If
you have the mobility of your limbs, you are blessed.
(07:31):
Even if you say, you know what, I lost a
limb or two in battle, You're still blessed. Why because
you are here. Sometimes people have survivor's guilt when they
have been in some kind of trauma or been in
military and they lost loved ones and they wonder, why
(07:52):
am I still here? Well, you're here because your work
is not done. You're here because God has a part
purpose for you. And if you survive whatever you have survived,
guess what, you don't have to feel guilty about surviving
because God has a purpose for you. And that's why
(08:15):
you're still here a man, And I just wanted to
say that today because sometimes even when it comes to
getting benefits, I'm on a lot of different platforms, military platforms,
veteran platforms, and I see a lot of people that
they feel, even when they get benefits from the va
(08:38):
sometimes they feel guilty because they say, well, I didn't
serve as long as other people did, or I don't
have a limb missing. But whatever benefits you are guilting,
those benefits are coming to you, not because the Vah
just gives them to you, because we know that they don't, okay.
But the thing is, you have served, and therefore you
(09:03):
have earned that entitlement of what they have given to you,
not because oh, I'm just entitled to it, but because
you have served, so therefore you are entitled to those
benefits that you are receiving due to your honorable service
in the military. And again we want to thank you today.
(09:27):
I want to go and we're gonna talk about today.
Ephesians chapter six, The Whole Arm of God. Ephesians chapter
six and starting with verse ten, and it talks about Paul.
He talked about the struggles that we face in this
world and we know that we all have struggles. If
(09:50):
you're on active duty, you might be struggling with being
apart from your family and loved ones, or you might
have served some time and you say, well, you know,
I'm not it's not so much about being a part,
but you know, I'm missing my children growing up when
I'm having to be stationed and I'm gone for months
at a time and I come back and maybe my
(10:11):
baby that was a baby don't even know me anymore
because I've been gone, and that can be a struggle.
You might be dealing with, maybe just the You might
have just gotten into the military. You may have just
gotten out of boot camp, and you're struggling trying to
transition from being where you was a civilian to now
(10:34):
you are having to baby follow directors, follow orders, follow
whatever your commanding officers are telling you to do. You
might be stationed overseas and you're in an unfamiliar place
where you're not used to certain ways of living because
you're living in a different area outside of the United States,
(10:56):
and so that can bring about a challenge as well.
There are very struggles you may face. You may be
getting ready to transition out of the military and you're saying, Okay,
where do I fit in? I've read different posts where
some some active duty that are transitioning out of the military,
(11:19):
they they they're wondering what do I do now? Because
it's different from military life. Civilian life and military life
are totally two different worlds, and many people don't understand that.
Who may have never served, but it's two different worlds.
And so you're transitioning now you're saying where do I
(11:40):
fit in? So everyone has a battle that they are facing.
You might be dealing with family issues. You might be
a veteran and you may have served and now things
are different from you, and you feel like people don't understand.
You might be struggling with different maybe mental health issues
and anxiety, some panics, some wearing, some stress, some PTSD.
(12:04):
You may have dealt with some things in the military.
Some people have been sexually assaulted. Yes, it does happen,
and you may have. You know, you may be struggling
with you know, well, where do I do? What do
I do now? Where do I fit in? Now? Well,
one thing that we know that in God we can
wear the whole armor of God. And it is important,
(12:28):
as any soldier will tell you. It's important to have
the right type of armor, because if you go to
war and you don't have the proper weapons, and you
don't have your grenades, and you don't have your tanks,
and you don't have your head gear, if you don't
have the proper shoes, and if you not dressed appropriately,
then guess what you're You will not be prepared to
go against the enemy. And the enemy in the spiritual
(12:52):
sense is the is the devil, and we're fighting spiritual
spiritual ballot and some of you may be fighting spiritual
and physical battles. But let me read this from Ephesians,
chapter six and verse ten. It says, finally, be strong
in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on
(13:15):
the full arm of God, so that you can take
your stand against the devil's schemes. It goes on to
say that for we wrestle not against flesh and blood,
but against rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of
(13:36):
the dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil
in the heavenly rams. Therefore, put on the full arm
of God, so that when the day of evil comes,
you may be able to stand your ground. And after
you have done all, after you have done everything to
(13:57):
stand and let me just stop, right, because when you
are dealing with whatever battle you're facing spiritually, and you
have to be strong so God, you know, Paul says, here,
be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
(14:18):
That means not in our own strength, but in the
Lord's power. We can fail as human beings, but when
we rely on God, we can be strong in Him.
And that's what's important for us to remember, to be
strong in the Lord. So when we put on the
(14:39):
full armor of God, that's when we can stand against
the enemy. Again, if you are not properly geared up,
you can't stand against anyone because you don't have your
proper tire, you don't have your proper weapons. But Paul
went on to say that that I struggle, and in
some versions it says for we rustle not against flesh
(15:01):
and blood, but against rulers, against the authorities, against the
powers of the dark world. And so therefore, when we
may be dealing with a natural person, but we have
to look beyond that in the spirit and know that
it's spiritual what's going on. The things that we're seeing
take place in the world today, Like right now, we're
(15:24):
seeing that all the nations are gearing up for war.
Rather it's China, rather it's Iran, Rather it's Israel, Rather
it's Russia, whether it's Turkey, all these nations, North Korea,
all these nations are gearing up for war in the natural.
But we have to see beyond that that this is
(15:45):
a spiritual battle. And Jesus warned that there would be
wars and rumors of wars, nation against nation, kingdom against kingdom,
and these things must take place before the incomes. But
the thing is is that we want to be prepared
spiritually for the things that's going to take place, the
(16:07):
things that's taking place right now, and that's over that's
forming in the spirit and then overlapping in the natural.
And so therefore Paul was saying that, you know, we
wrestle not against the the against flesh and blood, but
these are spiritual forces, things that's happening in the heavenly rams.
(16:29):
We know that there was a war in heaven Michael
and his angels far far against the devil and his angels,
and he was kicked out of heaven, all right, So
the battle has already been won. When we know that
we're not fighting a losing battle. The battle has already
been won in the spirit. But yet the devil is
(16:50):
still raging war against the people of God. And therefore
we we're gonna see things manifest in the natural as
an overflow of what's taken place in the spirit. But
the thing is, he's all ready one. I'm talking about God.
God has already won. When Jesus came and died for us,
(17:14):
he got the victory to death and hell. And so
the devil has already been defeated. So Paul went on,
and he goes on to say in verse fourteen, to
stand firm, then, with the belt of truth buckled against
around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness and place,
(17:35):
and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes
from the Gospel of Peace. In addition to all this,
take up the shield of faith, which with which you
can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit,
which is the Word of God. And so what Paul
(17:58):
is saying here, he's telling us the stand firm, and
if you're on y on a rocky foundation, you will
not be able to defeat the enemy because you're too shaky,
you off balanced, all right, But he tells us here
to stand firm. And who do we stand firm in?
We stand firm in Jesus, all right, we stand firm
(18:20):
on He is our firm foundation on which we do stand,
all right. So when you have a firm foundation, then
you don't have to worry about the shakiness of the
ground because you have a firm foundation. And he says,
with the belt of truth buckled around your waist. And
we know that God is the spirit of truth, okay,
(18:43):
the Holy Spirit. He guides us in all truth. There's
a lot of people talk about misinformation, disinformation, but we
don't have to worry about that in the spirit when
it comes to the Lord, because whatever he says, we
know that it is truth. To make sure that we're
wearing that we're wearing that that that bucle of truth
(19:05):
around our waists. You know, when you were in a belt,
it helps to hold up things, and then you also
have some of your weapons that will sometimes be in
that belt, all right, So we need that truth that
we're wearing around our waists. And then the breastplate of righteousness.
One of the things when you when you look at. Rather,
(19:26):
you may have seen pictures or you've seen movies of
Roman soldiers or different I'm gonna say ancient movies of
wars back in the day of doing, Biblical times or whatever,
they wore breastplates because if they didn't wear a breastplate
and someone hit their armor, if they did not have
(19:50):
that breastplate on, then guess what it would get to
vital organs. They didn't have an er or they can
just hurry up and take you to the emergency room.
They didn't have any ivy fluids, they didn't have any
blood on hand or anything like that. If you got
pierced in your vital organs, you were as good as dead.
(20:12):
So they had that breastplate on so it could protect them.
When we want to have that breastplate of righteousness and
place why, because God is righteous, God is holy. When
that breastplate of righteousness, it helps to protect us against
the enemy's arrows that would shoot in our direction. When
(20:33):
we're standing for righteousness, that means that we're not standing compromised.
We are standing on Jesus. We're allowing the breastplate of righteousness.
Whom God is, He is righteous, and because we represent him.
We are ambassadors for him, we are warriors for him.
(20:54):
Then we want to make sure that we're cloaked in righteousness, says,
with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from
the Gospel of peace. If you don't have on the
right foot gear, then guess what you're not going to
be to run, because sometimes you gotta run doing war.
You got you gotta be the walk long distance, So
(21:16):
you have to have the right foot gear on. So
we want to be ready with the gospel that we
go from place to place to place wherever God sends us,
in order to give people the gospel, the true gospel, okay,
because there's a lot of false gospels that's not the
gospel at all, as Paul says in his writings. But
(21:36):
we want to have the unadulterated truth, okay, the gospel
of Jesus Christ. And as Paul said, if anyone, even
an angel come to you with the different gospel, you
do not accept that gospel. But we want to give
the gospel that comes from Jesus, the true, genuine word
(21:56):
of God. In addition to all this, Paul says, take
up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish
all the flaming arrows of the evil one. The Bible
lets us know that without faith it is impossible to
please the Lord. And so when we have the shield
(22:18):
of faith. One thing, when you saw a shield, the
shield was used, the soldiers would put would hold their
shields up. And when the enemy was throwing weapons, and
they may have had arrows the shield, they will hold
the shield over themselves and orders for the arrows to
fall off. Without their shields, they would be subjected to
(22:44):
those arrows peers in them. But the shield, the shields
that they use help to protect them even when they
were doing or or when they would do hand to
hand comeback. You were sometimes seeing movies where they would
hold up the shield and order to defend themselves. So
we want to have the shield of faith. The Bible
(23:06):
says that faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen. And so when I make.
Speaker 4 (23:13):
Sure I shield myself in faith, that means that even
when I can't see, my shield of faith is protecting
me from the from the arrows of doubt, the arrows
of whatever the devil is thrown at you.
Speaker 3 (23:28):
Or this won't happen, that won't happen or or you know,
the devil wants to throw all these things at you.
But when you have faith. The Bible says that if
you have faith the size of a mustard seed, that
it will move mountains. I do not move on my own.
I operate in faith because I know that God can
(23:49):
do them I possible. And the things that I can't do,
the things that I can't even see in the natural,
I'm looking in the spirit because I have my shield
of faith. And so even when the enemies coming at
me with all kind of attacks, I'm gonna hold up
my shield of faith to protect me against anything the
(24:10):
devil throws at me, because I am believing that God
has me covered. With that being said, take the helmet
of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is
the word of God your helmet. Soldiers often wore head
(24:32):
helmets to protect them from anything that would come against
their head. When we have the helmet of salvation, we
also think about the protecting our minds, all right, protecting
our minds spiritually. That means I have to guard myself
spiritually from the enemy's devices. I have to guard what
(24:53):
goes into my mind. That means watch my eyegates, watch
my eargates, watch those things that would come into my mind. Okay,
I want the helmet of salvation on me because I
am saved because of the blood of Jesus Christ and
what he has done for me on the cross. We're
(25:15):
saved not because of our own words, but because of Jesus.
And that's why we have salvation and the sword of
the Spirit, that's the Word of God. We it is
so important that we have our sword. But no soldier
could go to battle without having a sword. Okay. And Jesus,
(25:37):
how did he defeat the devil with the word? With
the word? Because he is the Word. He was the Word.
The Bible says in John one, verse one, in the
beginning was the Word, and the word was with God,
and the Word was God. And so because we have
the Word of God and the Bible, lets us know
(25:57):
that Thy Word have I hid in my mind heart
that I might not sin against thee We want to
have the Word of God on the inside of us.
That means we have to study the word. We have
to get to know the Word, and then when we're reading,
even when we're reading our word, we're actually knowing Jesus.
(26:18):
Because Jesus is the word that became flesh for our sake.
And I want to just read one more thing, And
in verse eighteen, it says, and praying the Spirit on
all occasions, with all kinds of prayers and requests. With
this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying
(26:40):
for all the Lord's people. And prayer is our best
weapon against the enemy, the devil. He doesn't want us
to pray. Why because there is power in prayer. And
when he can get you so busy and tied up
that you don't think about prayer, then he had as
you on his turf, and he's able to defeat you.
(27:03):
Because without prayer you are not fully equipped. You're not
you don't have all your gear. You need prayer. Prayer
is our weapon of defense against the enemy. Even if
you are busy throughout the day, just in your mind,
take a moment and talk to God. See you may
(27:25):
you may not be able to talk physically, you might
be doing various things, but you always talk to God
in your mind. He knows your thoughts, He hears you.
When you're on the road. Talk to God when you're
even at your workstation. In your mind, talk to God.
Allow your mind to be always on the Lord, and
(27:47):
he will keep you. We're going to take a quick
break and we'll be back in just a moment.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
Right away. And the early morning ray and the early.
Speaker 5 (28:05):
Morning ray, and the early morning ray, and the early
morning ray, the nearly morning ray and the morning ray.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
Just my wife, and take it back. Say bye to
my children.
Speaker 6 (28:23):
Not to cry, my child, not to crash my mock.
And kept your car, my wife to sake a car
in the early morning ray and the morn away. Let
the weapon in my hand in the pocket called the sand,
(28:45):
the packet called the side. Get the weapon in.
Speaker 5 (28:48):
My head.
Speaker 2 (28:50):
Wing, and the packet called the side. The pocket called
the side. The only to my front.
Speaker 6 (29:00):
Got the head me to my front, and the ocean
to mybil, the ocean to my wounded tie in tarlad.
Speaker 2 (29:10):
Wound it hollow and near the morning ray.
Speaker 6 (29:16):
And now they can away as they had to ansad
a polly.
Speaker 2 (29:23):
Didn't my chest my chest even more down my bed, even.
Speaker 6 (29:31):
Though my.
Speaker 2 (29:34):
Send the early morning ray, and they tell my darling
not to cryh ho my tar they come to crowd.
How don't have a stay goodbye? How do I have
a sayd bye? Tell my darling not to cry, to
my daring not to crowd the nearly morning rain. And
(29:57):
they record the way and he soldiers t it has
nothing to say children making the moon rainy moon, raid
(30:23):
the rain, the early morning rain.
Speaker 3 (30:40):
And that is in the early morning rain. And that
is by Jonathan Michael Fleming. And you can find his
cadences on YouTube and Spotify. He has a whole lot
of different cadences on there and they sound really really
good as again that's Jonathan Michael Flamming. All right, we
(31:02):
I want to go into just a little bit about
military regulations when it comes to earning uniforms. Now, you know,
when if you're actually on active duty or you have served,
then you have to adhere to strict guidelines when it
comes to your uniforms, all right. So you couldn't just
(31:24):
wear your uniform any kind of way, and you couldn't work,
you couldn't just do anything when it came to your uniforms.
They were supposed to be clean, all right. Those of
us who are in the Navy, you know those dress whites.
They had to look white. They had to be white,
all right. You weren't coming in with dirt all on
your uniforms and everything, especially if you had inspections and
(31:47):
all that your uniforms were supposed to be pressed iron
clean accordingly. Even in boot camp, your dungareas had to
be earned and your shirts and you had to wear
the T shirts up on your your Oh, I can't
think of the name of those shirts, but you know
what I'm talking about, navy betherings, the dungrease and the
(32:08):
shirts that we had to wear do You had to
have the belt properly, the T shirt up under it.
You didn't go and not wear your T shirt up
under you. Your shirt. You had to wear your white
T shirt and it was supposed to be white, okay,
not dingy white or whatever. We had to have our
bone doockers. They were supposed to be shined correctly. So
it was important to make sure that we wore the
(32:29):
proper uniform we also there were times when we went
from dress whites to our dress blues, all right. So
during the summer, spring and summer months we wore dress whites,
and then fall and winter we went into our dress
blues all right. So there were certain times of year
that we wore certain certain uniforms. It was important that
(32:56):
you wore the correct uniform or you would get chewed out. Okay,
so we knew, okay, this is that at this particular time,
they I believe they would give us, if I remember right,
they would give us dates when the dress blues would
go into a fact. And then you knew when the
dress whites would go into a fact if you were
(33:16):
on the honor guard for a while, I was on
the honor Garden. So therefore we had to make sure
we wore our proper uniforms when it came to being
on the honor guard, and had our weapons when we
would do certain ceremonies or whatever case may be, or
if you were holding the flag or whatever case may be.
So therefore there was a strict uh, there were strict guidelines,
(33:40):
and there still are strict guidelines. We couldn't have our
hair below the collar when I was in at that time,
African American women couldn't wear we I don't think we
were allowed to wear braids, the braids that you often
see now, But now I think they changed it where
you could get those certain types of braids and as
(34:03):
long as it fit properly up under your hat. And
I think they still have where you still have to
wear your hair above the collar to pinned up or
either cut above the collar, wherever the case may be.
The men, I remember that they weren't able to their
their their hair had to be tramped correctly, uh cut
correctly where it wasn't sticking out past their their hats
(34:28):
and everything. So it had to be properly tramped and lined.
Even when uh I remember when I was in even
with our if you wore acrylic nails like I do
and I did at the time, they could not. They
had to be a certain length. And so when I
went to uh uh, when I went to the the
(34:50):
the nail technicians to do my nails well, they had
to make sure that the nails did not go a
little bit past my my skin or whatever. And so
so even the nails had to be in the right
according to go according to our dress regulations. You couldn't
(35:12):
wear any kind of ear rings that you wanted to.
There were certain ear rings that you were able to
wear with your uniform or whatever body peersings and all
that was a no go when you were in uniform.
So I wanted to read a little bit about veterans.
What veterans you know, can they still wear their uniforms.
(35:35):
And so veterans may wear their uniforms, and I'm taking
this offline. Veterans can wear their uniforms, but only in
special occasions that are typically centered around military service and
family events. So meta of honor recipients or authorized to
wear their military uniforms on any occasion with the following
(35:58):
specific exception. So they can't wear their military uniforms at
public speeches, interviews, picket lines, marches, or rallies, or other
events which may imply official military sanction. So if you
observed and you put on that uniform, don't be at
Trump rally represent the militarying to you know, it will
(36:19):
be taken as represent the military. And that's not supposed
to be doing political activities associated with private employment or
commercial events, working in any civilian capacity, and that civilian
court proceedings when the conviction would would bring this, when
the conviction would bring this credit. So as a veteran,
(36:43):
you're there are certain times when you can't wear in
certain events, in certain places that you cannot wear your
old uniform. And this is important because even though you
may be out of uniform official, you are only able
to wear it at certain times if you still if
(37:07):
you still have your uniform. So I want to for
those who are in active duty, and this is interesting. Now,
those who are in active duty, you already know what
you should and shouldn't wear, and what you can and
cannot wear. But I want to just go over a
little bit of the new when we have the new
(37:28):
Space Force. Okay, we have a new Space Force, and
so the Space Force, I want to read a little
bit on their uniform. So the Space Force is the
sixth and newest branch of the United States Army, and
I have forgotten to mention the Space Force when I'm
mentioning all the other branches. So if you're on the
(37:51):
Space Force, I do apologize because this is the newest branch.
We know that this was instituted in twenty twenty, so
it was established by the twenty twenty National Defense Authorization
Act and falls under the leadership of the Secretary of
the Air Force or they're an extension of the Air Force.
(38:13):
The mention of the mission of this branch is to
provide capabilities and protect the United States and allied security
interests in space. In addition, the Space Force will provide
tactical support to ground combat units during or through geo
(38:33):
positioning data, et cetera. In the same way that the
Air Force branched off from the Army in nineteen forty seven,
the Space Force is newly branched off from the Air Force. Therefore,
with such a strong Air Force connection and affiliation, the
Space Force uniforms are nearly identical to those of the
(38:58):
Air Force for now. So what they're saying is that
because it's a branch of the Air Force. So because
this is a branch of the Air Force, eventually they
are it seems like that they're going to eventually maybe
have separate uniforms if they don't are ready, but they
(39:19):
are a branch of the Air Force. In the introm
the Space Force dress uniform is the same as the
United States Air Force. However, it is differentiated from the
Air Force dress uniform by the Leapol insignia, which features
a US Space Force distinction for the members of the
(39:41):
United States Space Force. All Right, so I just wanted
to give you a little bit of information for the
uniform code or regulations, and I found it interesting when
it comes to the Space Force, since this is the
newest branch. So we know that the Coast Guard. The
Coast Guard, they have their particularly uniforms. We know that
(40:06):
the Navy is distinguished in their uniforms. The Marines are
distinguished in THEIRS as well as the Army. They have
their particular uniforms. And so normally you can tell the
different branches because when you see the Army, THEIRS is
the ones that have the green, that type of green uniform,
(40:31):
and that's very distinguishable from the other branches as well
as you know the Marines when you see that red
stripe going down the leg and so. But the thing is,
it's always important to be in proper attire. You don't
want to ever be in the wrong a tire. Even
(40:53):
if you're taking pictures and you're not in proper uniform,
you never want to do that. You want to always
make sure that you wrap resent your branch correctly. And
this just goes back to what we were talking about
early is being wearing the whole arm of God. You
want to make sure that you are improper attire to
(41:17):
be able to defeat the enemy, because we know that
we're fighting a battle against the enemy that has already
been won because of what Jesus has done. But make
sure that you're weaponed up in prayer. Make sure you
have your sword, which is the Word of God. And
(41:39):
make sure you have your belt of righteousness which is truth,
your breastplate of righteousness, your foot readiness for the Gospel, properly,
properly fitted for the Gospel. Am I missing anything? God
may be missing something. I'm trying to go out from
memory right here because I don't have the text in
front of me right now. But you want to have
(42:02):
the whole armor of God, your helmet of salvation. Be
properly prepared, because, as the Bible says, we wrestle not
against flesh and blood, but against principalities, dark forces. However,
we're not fighting alone because Jesus has already defeated the
(42:23):
enemy and he is the captain of our guard. God
bless you. This is doctor ko Rich. I am your
navy veteran, and I pray that you have a blessed
and wonderful week. Until next time.
