Welcome to Victoria's through Christ, where faith flourishes and truth triumphs.
I'm doctor Eric is he born? And today we're diving
deep into the transformative topic of trust. We'll explore how
trusting in God differs from trusting in human relationships and
(04:55):
why understanding this distinction is crucial for us spiritual journey.
Let's embark on an exploration of trust, its essence, expectations,
and eternal significance. Trust isn't just a term. It's a
(05:18):
testament of where we place our confidence and commitment. Trust
impacts every decision we make in every relationship we nurture.
It's the foundation for faith and the framework for our
interactions with others. Proverbs Chapter three, verses five through six,
(05:50):
provides a powerful directive Trust in the Lord with all
your heart, and lean not on your own Understanding this
scripture invites us to surrender our logic and control, placing
our faith, our full faith in God's wisdom. The challenge
(06:11):
is to trust God entirely, even when circumstances seem uncertain
or overwhelming. In Psalms seventy one, verse five, the term
for trust conveys a sense of refuge and security. It's
about finding assurance in God's unwavering nature. Trusting God means
(06:37):
recognizing him as our ultimate protector and provider. It's an
active choice to rely on his strength and guidance. First
John four eighteen declares there is no fear in love,
but perfect love drives out fear. Trusting God eliminate fear,
(07:01):
enabling us to rest in His perfect love. This type
of trust is transformative, shifting our focus from fear to
faith and allowing us to live boldly in His promises.
Imagine a child jumping into their parent's arm at the pool.
(07:25):
The child doesn't hesitate because they trust completely in their
parents' ability to catch them. Similarly, our trust in God
should be complete, knowing He will catch us regardless of
the situation. Let's reflect on how we can apply this
(07:48):
fearless faith in our daily lives. Are the areas where
we still lean on own understanding rather than fully trust God.
Trust in relationships means believing the best in others. In
(08:09):
First Corinthians, Chapter thirteen, verse seven. It says love always,
trust always hopes, and this involves giving others the benefit
of a doubt, choosing to see their potential for integrity
and goodness. It's about fostering relationships built on love, mercy,
(08:36):
and grace. Asai It two twenty two warns us put
no more trust in man who has only the breath
in his nostrils, and this verse reminds us that all
humans have limitations and the transient nature of life. While
(08:59):
we can trust others to a degree, our ultimate trust
should be in God alone. Jeremiah chapter seventeen, verse nine
describes the human heart as deceitful, and this guides us
to approach human trust with wisdom and discernment. People can
(09:22):
unintentionally disappoint us, but through love and understanding, we can
still build meaningful connections. Consider a friendship where misunderstandings occur.
Trusting the best in each other means choosing to believe
(09:43):
in the friends' good intentions, addressing issues of love and
clarity rather than suspicion. And how do we navigate trust
when it's broken? What's steps can we take to restore
trust in our relationships? And how does forgiveness play a role.
(10:12):
Here's a redemptive reminder. Psalm forty nine, Verse six through
seven highlights the futility of trusting in wealth or human
power for redemption. Only God, through Christ allows redemption, and
(10:33):
this underscores that our salvation and ultimate security comes solely
from our creator, the most High God. Psalnd fifty seven,
Verse one describes trust as seeking shelter in God's care.
It's a call to flee to God for protection, knowing
(10:56):
He is our safe haven in moments of seeking. God's
refuge provides peace and assurance. Psalm fifty six eleven confidently
states and God, I trust, I will not fear. This
verse illustrates the profound security found in divine trust, which
(11:22):
eradicates fear and anchors us in strength, the strength of God.
Think of a storm we see while the raves are
high and daunting, those who trust in God remain anchored,
knowing He is the one who calms the storms and
(11:44):
guides us safely to shore. How can we cultivate a
deeper trust in God during life storms? What practices help
us anchor our faith in His promises? Consider trusting in
(12:09):
Him through everything. Trust is a trail of transformation. Trusting
God brings peace and protection, while trusting others calls for
compassion and courage. By surrendering to God's sovereignty, refine true
(12:33):
strength and steadfastness in our spiritual journey. Remember to engage
in earnest prayer and exploration and study of scripture. And
allow the Holy Spirit to guide you through His world
(12:57):
and to comfort your mind and your heart, and to
teach you everything and how to apply it, fostering unravening
faith and trust in His perfect plan. Approach others with
empathy and encouragement, reflecting the love of Jesus Christ, and
(13:24):
recognize that while human trust may falter, our love and
grace should not. I want to thank you for joining
me on today's journey on victorious through Christ. May your
trust in God be unravery and your relationships enriched with
(13:49):
His grace and His mercy until the next time we meet.
God bless you and continue to walk in the victory
of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, trusting wholeheartedly and
the most High God well extending grace and mercy, thinking
(14:14):
the best of others in all of your relationships. God
bless you, victoriously rising I'm reaching my God with love
as my honor.
Speaker 4 (14:31):
I'm ready to fight to Christ every challenge. Just don't
into love.
