Speaker 1 (00:05):
Greetings everyone, welcome to another episode of Leave Victorious through
Christ podcast. I'm doctor Erica Seeborn, and today we are
going to explore the dangers of manipulative behavior, often seen
as demonic bait. And this type of behavior lead us
(00:30):
away from God's principles and into a web of deceit
and conflict. And we will examine the nature of this
behavior and understand why it's unwise to engage in it
or even associate with those who do so. Let's look
(00:50):
at the four key points that will guide us in
this discussion. First, we're going to discuss the the nature
of manipulation. John chapter eight, verse forty four says, you
(01:13):
belong to your father, the devil, and you want to
carry out your father's desires. He was a murderer from
the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is
no truth in him. Manipulative behavior is rooted in deception.
Just as the enemy uses lies to entrap, those who
(01:37):
engage in manipulative tactics seek to control others through misleading
statements or actions, and we must recognize that engaging in
deception is contrary to God's truth. Secondly, distraction, the bait
(01:59):
cut leads eats such astray. In Proverbs chapter four, verse
twenty three, it says, above all else, God your heart,
for everything you do flows from it. Manipulative behavior distracts
(02:21):
us from our true purpose. It pulls our focus away
from God and into a psychle of drama and conflict.
Associating with those who use manipulation as a tool can
lead to spiritual distractions and hinder our relationship with God destruction.
(02:45):
The consequences of engaging in manipulation. Galatians chapter six, verse
seven says, do not be deceived. God cannot be mocked.
A man reaps what he souls. The consequences of manipulative
(03:09):
behavior can be destructive. When we engage in or promote
such actions, we invite those who cause chaos and conflict
into our lives. It's important to understand that what we sow,
(03:29):
we will reap, and often leading to broken relationships and
spiritual turmoil and confusion. And you know God is not
the author of confusion. Divine deliverance. The call to righteousness
(03:51):
James chapter four, verse seven says submit yourselves then to God.
Resist the devil and he will flee from you. The
antidote to manipulative behavior is to submit to God and
pursue righteousness. When we align ourselves of God's ways, we
(04:13):
are empowered to resist the temptations of manipulation and deception.
And this commitment to righteousness not only protects us, but
also serves as a light to others. As we reflect
on the dangers of manipulative behavior. Let us commit ourselves
(04:38):
to living in truth and integrity. We must avoid the
demonic beate of deception, distraction, and destruction and seek divine
deliverance through a righteous life. Maybe be vigilant in our
relationships and strive to uplift one another in love and honesty,
(05:05):
always aligning our actions of God's will. Fathering the name
of Jesus, I thank you for protecting us and leading
us on the right path. Help us to choose our
associations wisely, keeping us alert and free from distractions of
(05:32):
those who seek to manipulate us or seek the wrong
type of attention and seek to stir up conflict and confusion.
You are not the author of confusion, and Lord, I
thank you for strengthening our discernment. Thank you for helping
(05:55):
us to walk in integrity, display the fruits of the

other enemy. Help us to recognize the bait of Satan
(06:21):
and to rebuke it, to avoid it, and to avoid
those who delight in using it to stir up conflict, confusion,
and every wicked device from the enemy. We bind that
spirit in the name of Jesus that is in our
lives right now. God, I thank you for blessing us
(06:48):
not only with your discernment and direction, but also with
your power in your hand on life, our lives, directing
