Welcome to Victoria's through Christ, where we explore faith, growth
and the power of prayer in our daily lives. I'm
doctor Eric is Seborn, and today we're diving into a
topic that's both timely and essential. How we as Christians
should respond to leadership and authority in our world today.

(01:27):
In recent years, we've seen a lot of debate and
division regarding our leaders, especially in politics, and many people,
including Christians, have voiced their complaints and frustrations. But what
does the Bible say about how we should respond. Let's

(01:48):
look at the Book of Daniel. Daniel was a faithful
servant of God who lived in a time of great
challenge and change, and he found himself in the court
of King Nebukanezzar, a ruler whose practices often contradicted his faith.

(02:08):
Yet did Daniel complain. No, Instead, he honored God through
his actions and his choices. In Daniel Chapter three, we
see that when ordered to worship a golden statue, Daniel refused,
but he didn't protest a rally against the king. Instead,

(02:33):
he stood firm and his faith, honoring God above all else.
His story teaches us that while we may not agree
with our leaders on their decisions, our response should be
rooted in prayer and integrity. First Timothy chapter two, verses

(02:53):
one through two, tells us, I urge you, then, first
of all, that petitions, pray, years, intercession, and thanksgiving be
made for all people, for kings and all those in authority,
that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all
godliness and holiness. This scripture reminds us that prayer is

(03:18):
our first response. Instead of complaining, Let's pray for our leaders.
Pray for wisdom, guidance, and the ability to lead with integrity.
When we pray, we align our hearts with God's will,
and that can transform our perspective. It's easy to focus

(03:41):
on the negative, but let's Remember that God is sovereign
over all. He uses leaders for his purposes, just as
he did in the days of Daniel, and our role
is to honor Him and our responses to be humble
and to seek understanding rather than division. I encourage you

(04:06):
to take a moment today to pray for our leaders,
whether you agree with them or not. Ask God to
guide them, to give them wisdom, and to help us
as a community respond with God's grace and his life.
As we close today's episode, let's commit to being a

light in this world, honoring Jesus Christ, Father God, the
Most High God, the one True, Living God above all,
