(00:27):
thy strength, my spiriting night. Greetings everyone, Welcome to another
(00:52):
uplifting episode of Victorious through Christ. I'm Doctor eric Is Siborne,
and I'm so happy you're joining us today as we
dive deep into the abundant wisdom found in the scriptures
in our faith. And in this episode, we're focusing on
the theme of overcoming negativity and illuminating our lives with
(01:16):
faith in Jesus Christ and positivity. Guide it by a
powerful quote that I recently shared on social media on
my personal Facebook page, which says, wisdom is ignoring shade
coming from trees bearing no fruit. You know that quote.
(01:41):
It's resonated with many and I was so surprised, and
it sparked a lot of meaningful conversations on my Facebook
page on how to navigate the challenges of negativity that
often creep into our lives. So grab your favorite drink,
settling and comfortably, and let's draw from the scriptures to
(02:03):
discover how we can embody wisdom through Jesus Christ and
cultivate a life filled with light and purpose to honor him.
Let's begin with a brilliant piece of wisdom from Proverbs
chapter four, verse seven. The beginning of wisdom is this,
(02:26):
Yet wisdom, though it cost all you have. Yet understanding
that verse truly strikes a chord, doesn't it. It reminds
us that wisdom isn't simply given. It's a treasure we
must actively pursue from God, and it may require effort.
(02:46):
It definitely requires sacrifice and prayer, and sometimes even deep introspection,
but the rewards are immeasurable. When we commit to seeking
wisdom from the Lord, we learn to recognize the moments
where negativity or shade as some people call it, it's
(03:09):
cast by people who do not contribute positively to our growth,
and this awareness is the first step to reclaiming our
joy and purpose. Now, let's explore the profound insights shared
(03:30):
by Jesus Christ in the Matthew chapter seven, verses fifteen
through twenty. That's Matthew, chapter seven, verses fifteen through twenty. Now,
Jesus cautions us watch out for false prophets they come
to you. In Sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.
(03:55):
By their fruit, you will recognize them. This warning is
a powerful reminder about discernment. Just as we assess trees
by the quality of their fruit, we should evaluate the
people and influences that occupy our lives. Ask yourself, do
(04:19):
these people inspire and uplift us? Do they reflect Jesus
Christ's love and teachings? Or are they merely casting shade
that clouds vision and dims are light. By gaining clarity
in our relationships, we can actively choose to ignore negativity
(04:43):
and people who drain us, and instead focus on what
brings us to joy and fulfillment. Now turning our attention
to Philippians chapter four, verse eight, beautifully encourage Finally, brothers
and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right,
(05:11):
whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if
anything is excellent or praiseworthy, Think about such things. That
passage invites us to be intentional with our thoughts. Instead
(05:31):
of allowing negativity to invade our minds and hearts, we
have the power to redirect our focus toward the good
and beautiful things surrounding us, things that are a God.
But consciously choosing to embrace positivity, we create a nurturing
(05:52):
environment that fosters wisdom and joy, a mindset where faith
can flourish and thrive. Now, let's reflect on our key
takeaways for today. First, we discussed understanding shade. Recognizing the
(06:15):
shade in our lives, those negative voices and distractions is
the first step toward liberation. Awareness is essential. Second, we
discuss bearing fruit. Actively seek out relationships and influences that
(06:37):
bear good fruit and honor the Lord Jesus Christ those
that uplift and encourage us as they mirror the love
of God. Thirdly, we mention the power of choice. Remember,
(06:57):
we have the agency to true where weplace our focus.
Ignoring unwanted shade means we actively invest in positive influences
that bring joy and fulfillment in our lives. And we
also discussed living victorious and I like to share a
(07:20):
brief personal story with few. There were people who kind
of gave me backhanded compliments all my life, and not
one incident in particular. But I have consciously chose not
(07:43):
to dwell on what they did or what they said.
I chose to say, hey, they don't know what they're doing,
And I always wonder, why do people do that? Why
do they gift back handed compliments. They know they're being sarcastic,
(08:03):
they know they're trying to tear you down, and they
know that they're trying to discourage you. And when I
get around people like that, even sometimes it's been people
who are close to me and who gave back handed compliments,
and I had to literally sit there and think and
pray for them and think, Oh, my gosh, they don't
(08:26):
know what they're saying, they don't know what they're doing.
They don't understand the implications of what they said are
having on me, and not only me, on themselves because
what we sold wed they did not realize that the
negative seeds and discouraging seeds that they were planting in me,
(08:49):
or trying to plant in me in my thoughts, that
they were kind of planning and sewing in themselves and
in their environment what we were talking. And deep down
(09:09):
I felt sorry for them because I'm thinking, Oh, you
don't realize what you're doing, why you're doing this. At
the same time, it was hurtful, but I had to
consciously choose to not spend a lot of time around
those people. Sometimes it's unavoidable. Sometimes it can be relatives.
(09:30):
Sometimes it can be close friends and they don't realize
what they're doing. So you can still love them, but
it's and spend time with them, but you have to
be mindful of how often you're around them and in
what context you're around them, and be prayerful around them,
and before you enter their company and even after they
(09:51):
leave their company. A lot of people don't understand that
what they say and what they do to others really
can either in fact or effect them. And I guess
I said in fact I n fet and effect means
something that will negatively poison you, poison the spirit and
(10:14):
poison others. So people don't realize that we wrestle not
refleshing blood, but the spirits and principalities and high places.
And we just have to keep that in mind when
people say and do things, that it's the spirit that's
affecting them, that they don't even realize half the time
(10:36):
of what they're doing or what they're saying. And you
can tell a lot about a person's true focus when
they speak the spirit of their words can either imfact
or bless you, and you have to keep in mind
(11:02):
that when you separate or limit your time with these people,
you can strengthen yourself and the Lord Jesus Christ or
focusing on his word, just as the scripture says, focus
on what is true, honest, and worthy of honor in
(11:22):
reverencing God. And then they do that in a private
time it would be evident in a public time with others.
Just like I was saying, you can tell a lot
about a person by what they say, how they say
it to you, how they say it to others, and
how they treat people. You can tell what they do
(11:46):
in their private time, and that is their fruit. You
will know them by their fruit. You can tell what
a person is invested in. You can tell if they're
trying to drain you, if they're trying to uplift you.
You can tell if they're trying to secretly compete with you,
(12:06):
and if they're truly not happy for you because of
jealousy or because it's some other demonic spirit. And from
that you can tell what they spend their time dwelling,
just like they can probably tell what you spend your
time dwelling on. And if you want to bear a
good fruit, you have to spend your time thinking of
(12:31):
and reflecting on the good things that honor God, the
great things that are true, honest, worthy of good report,
things that honor Him and his word by his grace,
and that will glorify Him in your witness to others.
(12:53):
We have to keep that in mind. Now, experiences, they
taught me the profound value of surrounding myself with uplifting people,
people who reflect God's love and his light and his
grace and his mercy. They those experiences taught me that
(13:19):
sometimes you have to have mercy on people because they
don't realize what they're saying, they don't realize what they're doing.
But at the same time, if they're being negative and unfruitful,
ungodly towards you, you have to distance yourself. You pray
for them. It's your mercy for them. Because we wrestle,
(13:42):
not reflection and blood. We don't wrestle with the person
that we are seen with our physical eyes. Remember, it's
the spirit, the type of spirit that is infecting them
that is a affecting what they say to you and
(14:02):
how they treat you. Now, as we draw or close
to our time together, let's recap what we discussed. Wisdom
is not just a gift from God. It's a daily
choice that each of us make, and by deliberately ignoring
(14:23):
the shade from trees that bear no fruit, we can
cultivate our lives overflowing with wisdom, positivity, the love and
grace of Jesus Christ. And I encourage you. I encourage
each of you to take some time, not only this week,
(14:46):
but each day of your lives to reflect on the
influences in your life and how you're influencing other people.
Are you being fruitful? Are you honoring God in your
speech and your thoughts and your actions towards others? Are
they being fruitful towards you? Are they pulling you closer
(15:09):
to Jesus Christ and fostering positivity and love. Let's collectively
commit to focusing on what uplifts and nurtures others and
our own spirits by honoring and glorifying God. And let
us conclude this time together with a heartful prayer. Heavenly Father,
(15:36):
thank you for the gift of wisdom that you give us.
And with that wisdom, thank you for blessing us for
the understanding of it through your Holy Spirit. I ask
you for your guidance to help us to discern the
influences around us, enabling us to focus on what is true,
good and uplifting and honors you. May we always seek
(15:59):
your life right, your favorite, your grace, and your love
so that we can ignore the shade and walk boldly
in the warmth of your love in Jesus' name. Amen,
Thank you for joining me on Victorious through Christ and
I can't wait to hear your thoughts on this topic.
(16:21):
And don't forget to connect with us on social media
and share your experiences until the next time. Stay blessed
on purpose and keep shining brightly and your victory through
Jesus Christ. God, bless you victorious Sevisy, I'm reaching my

God with love as my honor. I'm ready to fight
to Christ every challenge. Just agg into life. At seven
