(01:17):
is now.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
Greetings, beloved brothers and sisters and Jesus Christ. I'm doctor
Eric is Seaborn, and welcome to another episode of Victorious
through Christ. Today I want to address a deeply important
and sensitive topic, the way we speak about others, especially children,
with friend our faith community. Sometimes, in our desires to
(01:55):
believe God for healing and blessing, we might unintentionally label
children in ways that can be oppressive or unfair, for example,
calling one child healed while another is still waiting for
her breakthrough, especially when the labels are based on human
(02:18):
assumptions rather than God's truth, which is his word. Today
you will explore what the Bible says about the power
of our words, the importance of love and fairness, and
how we can align our speech with God's heart, which
again is his holy word. The Bible teaches us that
(02:43):
our words carry great weight. Proverbs eighteen twenty one says
death and life are in the power of the town,
and those who love it will eat its fruits. This
means that what we speak and build up or tear down,
and as believers, we are called to speak life, truth,
(03:07):
and encouragement, never labels that are diminishing or oppressive to others.
James Chapter three, verses nine through ten reminds us with
it we bless our Lord and our Father, and with
it we curse people who are made in the likeness
(03:30):
of God. From the same mouth come blessing and cursing,
My brothers, These things are not to be so, So
how do we speak about others, especially vulnerable children? Reveals
the condition of our hearts and our understanding of God's love.
(03:55):
You know, throughout scripture we see God's desire to heal
and restore. James Chapter five, verses fourteen through fifteen encourages
believers to pray for the sick, trusting God's power to heal. However,
it is important to remember the healing is ultimately in
(04:15):
God's timing and according to his will. Mark chapter eleven,
verse twenty four says, therefore, I tell you, whatever you
ask in prayer, believe that you have received it and
it will be yours. But faith also involves patience and humility.
(04:40):
Believing for healing does not mean labeling someone as heal
before it manifest. It's about trusting God's perfect plan and
his timing, not our own and James. Chapter two, verse
one says what has to be changed? Chapter two versus
one through for it warns us against showing favoritism, and
(05:05):
it says, my brothers, show no partiality as you hold
the faith in our Lord, Jesus Christ. It's the Lord
of glory. Labeling one child is healed while another remains
deaf and blind, especially when the latter is still trusting
(05:29):
God for the healing, it can create favoritism and unfairness.
This not only impacts the children, but also reflects a
misunderstanding of God's impartial love, and furthermore, it can cause
emotional and spiritual harm. Children are impressionable. When we label
(05:54):
them based on human perception rather than God's truth, we
risk stifling their faith and dignity. As a Chapter one,
verse seventeen says, learn to do good, seek justice, correct oppression,
(06:15):
Bring justice to the fathers. And plead the widow's case,
where the widow's cause rather oppression. It comes when we
read diminish others with words or unfair labels, such as
calling them in secure or telling them they're not as
(06:39):
good as others. And you know, as followers of Jesus Christ,
we are called to uphold justice and love, speaking life
and truth in lying with God's heart, which is his
holy word. So how should we speak about children and
others in my community? Speak God's promises instead of labeling
(07:06):
someone as healed prematurely, pray and declare God's word over
their life, trusting him for the healing to come in
his perfect time. Affirm identity in Jesus Christ, and remind
(07:27):
children of their worth as the loved children of God.
Proverbs chapter twenty two, verse five says, train up a
child and the way he should go, even when he
is old, he will not depart from it, and this
includes speaking life and hope into their identity. Avoid favoritism
(07:51):
and unfair labels, and treat all children equally with love
and respect. Acknowledging that God's love is impartial. Encourage patience
and faith, trust in God's sovereignty, and encourage children to
(08:11):
continue trusting him for their healing and breakthrough. Brothers and sisters,
our words matter. They reflect our faith and our understanding
of God's love. And let us commit today to speak life,
(08:33):
truth and grace, never oppression of favoritism. And remember the
Lord Jesus Christ is a healer and his time is perfect.
So let's align our speech with his truth, trusting him
to do what only he can do. Let's close out
(08:56):
in prayer, Heavenly Father, thank you for your word that
guides us in truth and in your love. Forgive us
if we've spoken words that diminish or oppress others, especially children.
Help us to speak life, to trust in your timing
(09:18):
and to reflect your love and your mercy and your
grace in all we say and do. Fill us with
your holy spirit so that our words build up and
not tear down. We trust you for healing and restoration
according to your perfect will in Jesus' name. Amen, and
(09:44):
if you agree, say amen again. Amen. Thank you for
listening today, and remember, as believers in Jesus Christ, we
are called to be ambassadors of life, life and life
reflecting him to others. And let's speak words that reflect
(10:07):
his truth, his love and bring glory to his name
and not our own until the next time. Stay victorious
through Christ on purpose. By focusing on him is he
keeps you in perfect peace. It helps you to control
(10:28):
your tongue and the way you speak about others. God
bless you, tribe and storm.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
Behold the life
