Dal 1988 la Giornata Mondiale contro l’AIDS, nota anche come World AIDS Day, si celebra in tutto il mondo il 1° dicembre di ogni anno. La ricorrenza è dedicata ad accrescere la coscienza della epidemia mondiale di AIDS (acronimo di Acquired ImmunoDeficiency Syndrome) dovuta alla diffusione del virus HIV .
Since 1988, World AIDS Day, also known as World AIDS Day, has been celebrated worldwide on 1 December each year. The anniversary is dedicated to raising awareness of the worldwide AIDS (acronym for Acquired ImmunoDeficiency Syndrome) epidemic due to the spread of the HIV virus.
