to the best Tigers beat reporter in the land. That
is one Nick call off. Shout out to the heavyweights.
I love seeing his videos after the Tigers went bro
and it was dope to see them go and handle
a little bit of business his Wake Up Woodan. Appreciate
your chat family for choosing to kick off the day
(00:56):
with Wake Up Woolard with the woof cool.
Speaker 4 (00:57):
You guys are the most important part of this. Let's
go ahead get those likes.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
Ran up man, because the city was electric yesterday.
Speaker 4 (01:04):
We were all over the place.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
We had people everywhere trying to cover it from every
single angle. Man, But boy, Brendan dead kad you try
kol ad, your cindential Pistons Report and riding for the network.
Flannel Sam the Veta, the squad, the vet of the network,
all sports nor all Sports lover. And you know I
tried to take a page out of your book, Flannel.
Well one day again he will wear flannels. And what
about kool Aid and the kool Aid shirt?
Speaker 4 (01:26):
You know what I'm saying. He shout out d mac man.
My after my first year here, my one year, he got.
Speaker 5 (01:31):
Me this shirt.
Speaker 6 (01:31):
Ah, that was d Mac.
Speaker 4 (01:33):
I feel like it's that for like, it's my new shirt.
Speaker 6 (01:36):
Hey, but uh, doesn't it seem like the Tigers just
win every series. I know that they've lost a few,
but just still just be bumps. They never go on
these crazy winning streaks. But they also don't go on
losing streaks. It's just if you see like what I
saw before the week. You see three against the A's
and then three against the Twins, I'm like, the Tigers
are obviously going four and two. We know that that's
(02:00):
what happened.
Speaker 4 (02:00):
Little dope with Detroit, Gunny, where are the victory shades?
We got them? We got them. The crew was was
gracious enough. Obviously. We covered a couple of things.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
We had boots on the ground of a couple different
places last night, including the white called Tiger's Party.
Speaker 7 (02:14):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
But we also were at Detroit Pistons present a night
out with the orchestra and it was dope. You know,
t Grizzy was in the building. Skill a Baby was
in the building. Uh, and Big Sean performing with the
orchestra behind his music.
Speaker 4 (02:27):
That was dope.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
He also bragged up the city last night. But JB,
that's want of the people do that for a few minutes. Actually, wait,
tell the people we got on the menu first, and
then we'll show them this event and then we're gonna
throw on those victory shads right after.
Speaker 6 (02:39):
Did anything happen this weekend? Actually a lot of things
happened this weekend.
Speaker 4 (02:43):
Detroit was in the news. Uh, the Red Wigs made
a move.
Speaker 6 (02:46):
The Pistons will probably not make a move because of
something that we're gonna talk about. Well, we all see
your royal. We're gonna talk about the Tigers. One thing
that we will not be able to get to today
that we'll try to get to tomorrow. We're not ducking
the Michigan News. It's just too much happened over the weekend.
Tomorrow should be a lesser, a lighter day, so we'll
(03:09):
get to that tomorrow. Today, though, Pistons, red Wings, and
Tigers just all happen to be in the forefront of
the news, so we got to talk.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
Which was a pretty crazy turn of events, all for
different reasons. It's like where I am so so so
so fired up over here, I am so so so
so freaking disappointed in another corner. But before we get
to there, shout out to the Detroit Pistons. They have
a commitment to the city, and yes, the commitment does
include winning. So I'm glad to see that they're back
(03:38):
to winning ways and we hope that they can.
Speaker 4 (03:40):
Keep it up.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
But what they're doing in the city right now to
provide a lot, to bring the cultures together, to highlight
and to be able to give platform one hundred percent,
I love it, man, especially like the events I've been
able to cover the DA event every February that they
go and they do a scholarship giveaway for Black History Month.
All of the creatives from the Detroit area of public
school and some of the charter schools they allowed them
(04:02):
to come and whether it's their art is written art, paint,
you know, or a pluthorw of things. They allowed them
to be able to put their their craft on display,
and a lot of kids have. They've given away millions
of dollars just through that one initiative to Detroit's next generation.
So this one was dope because it was them highlighting
and celebrating our music out right here in the city
(04:24):
man at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, bringing together two mediums.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
So hey, you got a couple of those videos from
me jb.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Well words sports, kul Aid, boots on the ground, the
Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the Detroit Pistens to.
Speaker 4 (04:37):
Present at night out with the Symphony Orchestral. It's gonna
be dope. Big shinees here t driz and said, skill a.
Speaker 5 (04:42):
Baby and many moore.
Speaker 4 (04:44):
You're gonna have a whole lot more for you guys
throughout the night. You know what, y'all look, the environment
is already popping, concerts already dumping. We're about to get
in there and hit before just watching.

how you back the trade.

A shout out to one big shot who was the
recipient last night of the Legacy Cultural Award, and that
was presented by keV Knowles, the Detroit Pistons and arena
host and the daughter of one J Dilla. So that
was a pretty special moment. And right after that they
had a couple of tributes to Jay Dila won by
his brother Illa J and he played the piano and he.
Speaker 4 (06:39):
Put out Adult Dope song Man Adult Performance.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
And then right after that the Detroit Symphony Orchestra without
any artists, they performed three or four of J Dilla's
like This Bangers Man and it was so so, so
so ep. Again if you're into Detroit music, I am
so serious. This was one of those events that I
was grateful to be a part of and to be
able to see the artists, the homist they gave and
(07:03):
how much love they could see to throw back at
the city. The event sold out in twenty four hours
and a lot of people had a good time. And
shout out to Joke Bell and shout out to jed
En ros You and our brother Joke Bell from Woolvers
Sports a long time ago with Believe.
Speaker 4 (07:16):
In the Belle Man. They stepped out last night and
we had a blast.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
And my guy Eric Vincent from Clutch Points and Grace
from Platinum Equity, she's a writer there. They stepped out
last night too, and I would be remiss if I
didn't say thank you, and shout out to Pistons pr
Man they're doing a whole lot and for them to
be able to look out this way it was it
means a lot.
Speaker 6 (07:36):
Hey shout out, and the DSO is obviously an awesome
place to pretty much see a show of any kind.
The fact that this was there last night was awesome.
Glad you were able to be there. We're moving up
in the world at a Woodwork Sports. But something else
happened last night. And you know what, because we're always
late with breaks, all of our faults, I'm blaming me
(07:57):
as well. Let's take a quick one now and then
come back and give about twenty to twenty five minutes
to those Detroit Tigers or loading. That's what whatever with
the Detroit Gunny. We'll be back with the victory shades.

Speaker 3 (11:04):
Shout out to those Detroit Tigers for not just winning
another game, but winning another series over the weekend. They
dropped the first one to the Twins, and I said,
you know what, I'm just gonna sit back because I
do think this is another one of those speed bumps.
We know what the Tigers are. And then they whipped
BTA out on the on the Twins in that second game.
Speaker 4 (11:22):
Shout out to Withy Green, who you know what?
Speaker 3 (11:24):
Over the last couple of games had as many home
runs as the Twins had hits off of school.
Speaker 6 (11:31):
Oh man, what a what a weekend? And doesn't it
just seem like and a shout out because this was
something that Mike Vilenni mentioned from from from the Flagship
a couple of US shows ago. The Tigers just win
every fing series. They haven't had like these crazy long
winning streak. I think their longest is five, but they
also don't struggle ever. They've had a couple of bad series.
(11:55):
They've had a couple I think three game losing streaks,
but that's nothing in terms of MLB BA and the
Tigers just won another series two out of three, won
another home stand four out of six. Awesome. But we
all know though, the real story of the weekend was
the Tigers were on Sunday Night Baseball for the first
time since twenty seventeen, and honestly, during this time between
(12:17):
twenty eighteen and twenty twenty three, why the f would
they be on Sunday night baseball. It's great that they're
relevant enough to get that showcase on national TV. And
what I loved the most about this is that obviously
they won. That's the best part. They got a shutout,
also awesome. The Stars showed out. Oh Cy Young winner
Trek scoobl from last year pitches in this game, probably
(12:40):
the second most dominant game I've seen him pitch this season.
After the complete game against the Guardians, seven innings, one hit,
thirteen strikeouts, one walk, I mean, look, I mean zero
one walk, zero earned runs. Look at that.
Speaker 4 (12:54):
That's incredible. That's incredible.
Speaker 6 (12:56):
That's Cy Young type type of ish right there. This
is building upon your Cy Young season the year before
and be even better this year.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
And we talk about that aspect and that lore and
that air, that environment of muscy JV.
Speaker 4 (13:11):
You know where that really started to take off. We
knew JV was a bad man, but when the.
Speaker 3 (13:16):
Lights, cameras and actions were on, when the Sunday night
baseball was on, when the prime time games was on,
JV was going out there and still being the man
and finding a way to ramp it up just a
little bit more like we see our man schools doing that.
Speaker 4 (13:30):
To me is where when you talk.
Speaker 3 (13:31):
About him going from everything that we know him to
be best pitching the game al and now, yes, you
need to make sure you got a camera on this
man at all time and when he starts to I
don't care who he's even pitching against, you need to
make sure that it's now musty school.
Speaker 4 (13:45):
That's just where we're at now.
Speaker 6 (13:46):
This was it was an unbelievable performance. Like the Twins,
who are a bad team, I mean shout out a him,
yes absolutely, I mean they're not a terrible team. They're
like a mediocre team. There are a few games under
five hunderd. They're way back in the rear view in
the al Central as every team is. But the Twins,
I mean, they've got some They've got some dudes. We
(14:08):
we saw the type of player that Byron Buxton was
in the first couple of games. We know the type
of player that Carlos Korea is, et cetera, et cetera.
But in this game, as Schooble has done many times
start the past couple of years, he makes even great
hitters look foolish, look childish, look amateur, look like they
should be playing in Triple A. And that's the sign
(14:29):
of a dominant cy Young. I don't want to say
all time great, but having an all time great stretch picture, that's.
Speaker 5 (14:36):
What I do.
Speaker 4 (14:37):
Apologize to some of them, Bro, that's crazy.
Speaker 3 (14:40):
I'm not even like think about the fact that that
could be an over exaggeration, but it's literally not. He
calls he calls the dugout to clear because of what's
on the back of his jersey right there like that.
That's That's what I'm saying, Like this is electric right now,
and it's not just that we have a good picture
to talk about who can maybe get us over the hump.
It's about the fact that we're talking about whose schooble
(15:01):
is I don't know how, but seemingly improving on Asia year,
while the team is also saying, oh we here too, Bro,
we're at all.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
Of us are at the top. Hello, we got more
All Stars.
Speaker 3 (15:12):
Hello, look at every standing al Central al the league.
Like I'm bro, I'm so happy that we get to
come in this morning and put on his victory shade.
Because it's not just that they went on another series,
but it is right. We've been following this for a while.
This team is taking adversity and they just they chewed
up and spit it out.
Speaker 4 (15:30):
That's what they do. They handle it now. And I
like the fact that.
Speaker 3 (15:33):
Losses slumps media noise, other teams going on streets, other
teams losing. This team just does what they do. That's
the sign of not just a good team, but a
team on a mission and a team that I do believe,
given where they are right now, that expectation is Scott
Harris said to himself, World.
Speaker 4 (15:50):
Series, World Series, World Series set out to Nikoloff.
Speaker 6 (15:55):
But the thing is, you mentioned slumps. Do the Tigers
even go through slumps this year because them as a
team might know thing is in the last In the
last ten games, they're five and five, which is fine.
But the best part is this year is that the
Central is so bad. Every other team in the Al
Central besides the Tigers is under five hundred.
Speaker 5 (16:16):
Do you know what?
Speaker 6 (16:17):
As Detroit fans, we are owed this because we know
what we had to experience as Lions fans going into
the last game as a fourteen and two team. But
the freaking Vikings were also fourteen and two. How about
with the Tigers. They just continue to handle their business.
Win series, go five and five, six and four, seven
and three and ten game stretches, and they'll probably coast
(16:39):
to the division win because they are eleven and a
half up of the Guardians, a team that we're all
a little apprehensive about. The Guardians probably won't even make
the playoffs right now, Sellers bro.
Speaker 4 (16:52):
Like that is amazing, not like a team or two.
Speaker 3 (16:56):
Everybody beneath you in the vision like the Tigers are
really going to turn down in higher division into Sellers
like that, that to me is absolutely phenomenal.
Speaker 4 (17:05):
It's I'm wondering what the chat is film right now too, man.
Speaker 3 (17:07):
In terms of the hype, you know, I can't wait
because I'm seeing the one thing here like mid may
pay Schooble. You know, obviously everybody like I can tell
you this phenomenal effort by schools, but I do believe
that the thing that's on a lot of people's minds
is make you sure that you lock up that man.
I know it's gonna be expensive, but you see exactly
who he is in a game last night where once
(17:29):
again it was schools locking down an entire team and
it was effectively Carpenter and Green show.
Speaker 4 (17:35):
I saw that that recipe a lot last.
Speaker 6 (17:37):
Year well, and I wanted to talk about because Scooble
was obviously the star of last night. He's one of
the best overall players in baseball when you just combined
pitchers and hitters. He's the best picture in baseball right now.
But the other All Star from last season, Riley Green.
He hit himself a home run as well for his
(17:58):
nineteenth of the year. And maybe if you have that
uh Riley Green graphic that I sent.
Speaker 16 (18:03):
When he hit his eighteenth, he has eighteenth the day
before oh Man it's it's the one that says Riley
Green twenty twenty four.
Speaker 6 (18:11):
If you have that one, good there, yep. Look at
the improvements that he's making. Last season, in one hundred
and thirty seven games, he had twenty four home runs.
This season he has nineteen in eighty three games. Last season,
he had seventy three RBIs in one hundred and thirty
seven games. This year he has sixty three in eighty
(18:32):
three games. And batting average last year was two sixty two.
This year is two ninety six. Whether you like it
or not, and most people do. By the way, I'm
not trying to like be be snarky or anything. Riley Green,
in terms of power numbers is putting up. We're about
halfway through the year MIGGYE type power numbers. He's basically
(18:54):
on pace for thirty seven home runs one hundred and
twenty RBIs if he maintains his average in this ops.
Obviously the average in the ops aren't quite well like
Miggie did, But in terms of Micky Miggie like power numbers,
this has been the season Riley Green is putting together.
And this is one of the ways in which a
lot of us I remember KG specifically mentioned it when
(19:16):
he was here asking for a little bit more power
from Riley Green. He's delivered and then some. So far
this year. The dude's an MVP candidate.
Speaker 5 (19:25):
He just is.
Speaker 6 (19:26):
I'm not saying he's the MVP candidate or he's even
top three, top five though, abs of freaking loutely, and
he showed out on Sunday Night Baseball as well.
Speaker 3 (19:35):
Yeah yeah, but that's I think that's becoming the identity
of the Tigers.
Speaker 5 (19:40):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (19:40):
Their stars are stepping up, their stars are being That's
why I love about the fact that they have more
than two guys that are gonna be going to the
All Star Game this year. Even though before the season,
maybe even some of us who were even slappies, did
we really believe this team.
Speaker 4 (19:54):
Is gonna have an argument?
Speaker 3 (19:56):
Not that they're gonna get six All Stars in, but
do we believe that they would realistically even have an argument.
I'm seeing even people now saying, you know, look at
Zach McKinstry and what he's doing. That's what I'm saying, Like,
this is something different, and there are names here that
even if we were fans of what these players could be,
did we really believe broh, I've been talking about Dylan
thing for a minute, and I didn't even expect that
(20:18):
this guy was going to have this type of a season. Like, seriously,
even the people who believe in guys like Torque and Hobby,
did you really believe they were going to have that
type of a season.
Speaker 4 (20:27):
That's what it just feels like.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
It's a little bit of that magic that you need
in those special sports seasons that just boost you on.
And it's not as if this team isn't helping themselves
because they are their motor the way that they attack.
And I forget who said it in the chat, but
it kind of feels like this when they said that
they love the way that Schooble show boats when he's
(20:49):
on to my own and I love it. I think
the more appropriate word would be oral. You know, went
up to our elite booth man. I want to get
the man on the just the Tigers hypes, who's Riley Green?
Because I like where you were going with that. I
like where you're going. It's not just who he is
as an all Star, but he's not the only one
who's effectively stepping up his game. We see schools and
(21:11):
he's going to rightfully get everything effectively the praise that
he deserves.
Speaker 4 (21:17):
But when you lay it out like this with Riley Green,
you are right.
Speaker 3 (21:20):
He is one of those guys that, as we talked
about Jared Goff being an MVP candidate, not that he
would win, you're seeing Riley Green step into a very
very special place.
Speaker 6 (21:28):
Yeah, he has. And I also want to shout out
Kerry Carpenter for last night as well, somebody who we
know has the pension for coming through in big moments
when the lights are the brightest. We all know, the
three run homer to win a playoff game off of
Manuel Classe last year one of the favorite Tigers sports
(21:48):
moments for probably any of us who are a little
bit younger. And then last night on Sunday Night Baseball,
he's really picking up where he's left off. In the
last four games or so. In the last five games,
including last night, Kerry Carpenter has three home runs. He's
back in terms. He was in a really bad slump
for a while, but he appears to be back. He
had a homer to start the scoring. He had an
(22:10):
RBI triple as well. Did leave the game afterwards, hope
he's okay. I think it's kind of just like managing
the hamstring as best that they can, but carry. Carpenter
showed up as well. It was the Carpenter, Green and
Schoogle show.
Speaker 4 (22:25):
And I gotta go over to the Voice the Reason,
and we'll go over to Cavasi as well. Shout out
to the Detroit Tigers. Shout out to the stars.
Speaker 3 (22:32):
I like the way the flannel kind of just laid
everything out there, because the Tigers are being boosted by
solid player all over the place, but the Stars are
still being those dogs. Man, how you feeling over there?
Speaker 5 (22:43):
One?
Speaker 4 (22:43):
JB. Smooth?
Speaker 13 (22:44):
I mean, I'm feeling good. These all star Tigers, as
we should say, are going out there.
Speaker 7 (22:49):
They're doing their thing.
Speaker 5 (22:50):
Man.
Speaker 13 (22:50):
Shout out to school Boy. Yesterday we're pitching that amazing game.
I mean, I wish I could have been down there
to celebrate with the heavies at Old Detroit bart or
was it Old Detroit Miami?
Speaker 14 (23:01):
Oh Miami.
Speaker 5 (23:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 14 (23:02):
They it looked like an amazing time.
Speaker 13 (23:03):
I wish I could have been there because I know
Spinny and Easy got after it as soon as the
game was done. So it's just a good feeling to
be a Tigers fan in Detroit and finally like, we
have a team that is built and ready to succeed
in the playoff series as soon as it gets here.
Speaker 4 (23:19):
Yeah what Cavai.
Speaker 17 (23:21):
Yeah, it was a good time down there at Old
Miami last night. I want to shout out Chaz from
the chat who drove all the way from Grand Rapids
solely to come and hang.
Speaker 14 (23:30):
Out at Old Miami with the heavy Rats.
Speaker 17 (23:32):
Half the wait called Tigers Tour watch party, so came
all the way out, literally drove all the wa out
there just to hang out with the guys and stuff.
Stayed until I want to say the seventh or eighth.
They didn't because they had to drive all the way
back across the state to Grand Rapids.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
But and I know he works for a shift.
Speaker 17 (23:47):
He says he taps it in from time to time
when he gets his coffee break for tuning to wake
up Woodward. But uh, he watches Big D and he
watches Heavyweights as well. And so just shout out to Chaz,
appreciate you coming out, man. It's a fun time. I
know he got to talk to the heavies for a
little but last night too.
Speaker 3 (24:01):
That's what makes all of this awesome, man, Like when
we're able to be able to put you know, face
to name and be able to hang out with the
people in the chat, Fahim, I know we'll get that
experience with you a couple of times too. And Freddy
Felt and Ryan's reaction, I see him in the chat.
He says, Old Miami was a vibe man, and these
are people who have been supporting us for a while.
Like Freddy Felt was driving out when we were doing
(24:23):
post games in a handling pub. Bro, you remember how
long ago that was. Like I was sitting he was
getting out there and helping us set up.
Speaker 4 (24:28):
I'm like, what are you doing? He's like, I just
want to see y'all succeed.
Speaker 5 (24:31):
Bro.
Speaker 3 (24:32):
I was like, nice to meet you. I don't even
know his name. We set the whole thing up and
I was like, Bro, what is your name? He was like,
I'm Freddy Felt. Through with I was like, that's you, yeah,
And it was just like, this was an awesome feeling
to see people who wanted to see its successful and
that's what makes us great. That to me is also
I think what makes what made Old Miami a vibe.
And I'd be remissed if I did not shout out.
(24:53):
Brady would shout out to you. Brady, shout out to you.
There's a lot that he does, and not just for
the sales work that he does here, but the setup,
the lug and the equipment, the tearing it down, the
relationships with our sponsors that he continues to procure and
caring about us. Shout out to you, buddy, like and
I've seen him do this for years now here, So
shout out to you, man. I just I just wanted
(25:14):
to make sure he got some love this morning.
Speaker 6 (25:15):
Brady would is the f man. He's better than me.
He is more irreplaceable at this place than that that
than me. I'm sure a lot of people will agree
with that.
Speaker 17 (25:24):
But that's a way to suck right there for a second.
I'm the ship, but Brady's the better than me.
Speaker 6 (25:30):
Brady is better than me.
Speaker 14 (25:32):
Though.
Speaker 6 (25:32):
Brady is the man. He's he set, he set, he
sells things.
Speaker 14 (25:36):
He had to tow your own horn a little bit there.
Speaker 4 (25:39):
Yeah, it's like he has a job, but he does
whatever else is needed.
Speaker 6 (25:42):
To be done, setups, teardowns, everything that you need to do.
Wish I could have been there last night, but I
had some business to take care of with the family.
But also, you know what's funny. Last night obviously took
center stage because it was Sunday Night Baseball, but how
about the day before the Tigers had to in Game
two in order to have a chance to win the series,
(26:02):
and after a disappointing, rare Game one of a series loss,
they rebounded with a rare and probably and even more
rare Saturday win. Shout out to them, and shout out
to Casey Maiz for pitching yet another gem. He's had
himself a heck of a year, maybe has even a
sneaky All Star case. I don't think he'll make it,
but he's been damn good for them. And also Glaber Torres,
(26:26):
Zach McKinstry, Riley Green, and Carrie Carpenter all with home runs.
The question, you know, I was about to ask the question,
but I don't think Carpenter has a realistic chance. Do
we see Glabor and Green, which we definitely will, and
McKinstry at the All Star Game. This is the crazy
chips to love that.
Speaker 4 (26:44):
We're talking about multiple people, and it's not just those guys.
Speaker 3 (26:47):
There are other ones that we're gonna see have some
type of a case to be considered or to say,
you know what, they're having an all star like season.
That's the crazy thing. I don't even know where you
begin when you talk about who do your credit for
this type of stuff. But looking at Saturday's game, it's
awesome to see how they won this series. They're showing
you that the Tigers, they can win it pretty, they
(27:08):
can win it gritty, it doesn't matter. That was what
I loved about the bookends of both days, and in
each of those games, you still saw the stars do
what they do. So on Saturday's win, you had a
whole lot more help. On Sunday's win, you had your stars.
You had Carpenter Green Carpenter. You look at the day
before and you're gonna see a bunch of people contributing.
(27:28):
But I love the fact that we see Green go
out there and still mass and still be the biggest
bat in that lineup, and then your effective people with
a guy like Casey Mais, who I'm hoping continues to
get more and more comfortable, more and more understanding that
he is that dude, and get beyond any aspects of
the little injuries and things like that. This Tigers team
has set up for so much more because they have
(27:50):
it under control, not just starting pitching, not just the batting,
not just the bullpen. But aj Hinch is pulling every
string masterfully right now. That's and that's why I'm kind
of like at a loss for words, because I'm trying
to figure out who gets the most credit. What is
it that's making a SEAE this special right now? Like,
that's the amazing part about this.
Speaker 6 (28:11):
Everybody gets credit. I know this is a complete team.
Trek Schooble obviously gets gets a huge piece of the
pie because he's falling up a cy young season with
an even better season. Riley Green has evolved from being
an All Star too, in my opinion, a legit MVP candidate.
You talk about Zach mckinsry Hovey, Bayaz, Spencer Torkelsen way
(28:33):
overshooting the expectations. You can give credit to Scott Harris
for the Tobby Kinley and Glaber Torres signings, who I
think both deserve to be All Stars. Obviously, aj Hinch
deserves a lot of the credit by the way he
mixes and matches the lineups and really doesn't usually let
Carpenter or Colet Keith, for example, or Jami Jones hit
(28:54):
against right lefties or righty's respectively, plays the matchup game.
There's there's more credit than you can even give because
this really is a complete team. And I think, and
we talked about it before, because I think Zach McKinstry
deserves a little bit of a glazing by himself. Zach
(29:15):
McKinstry man might have a sneaky All Star case. I
don't think he's going to get it. But just to
give you a little bit of context, Zach McKinstry in
terms of position players is second on the Tigers and
wins above replacement. It's Riley Green and then Zach McKinstry.
Zach McKinstry is second in the American League in triples
(29:36):
while also having an eight oh seven ops. Dude, if
Zach McKinstry makes the All Star Game, that would be
the most I.
Speaker 17 (29:48):
Get a Zach McKinstry All Star jersey, there we go.
Speaker 6 (29:51):
That would be perfect because it's just a Tiger's jersey
at that point.
Speaker 14 (29:55):
The home jerseys, I mean.
Speaker 6 (29:56):
But sure, but yeah, Zach McKinstry jersey is a because
obviously Chase and Zach McKinstry's share and a CMU Alma matership.
But there's so much credit that can be going around,
because Yeah, the most important thing to me is that
Trek School will manage to level up even more. And
(30:18):
Riley Green managed to level up a ton. But so
many guys are stepping up and playing roles hell even
in small sample sizes. Look at wen Sel Perez since
he's been back. Look at what Jamai Jones has done
in this month, really being the lefty killer that was
expected of Andy A. Baniez, but he didn't just really
he didn't really deliver. Oh don't worry. We got some
(30:40):
guy that nobody's ever heard of in the miners who's
gonna come up and having one thousand ops in the
month of June. It's god this. They just play the
game the right way.
Speaker 2 (30:50):
Man.
Speaker 5 (30:50):
I love it.
Speaker 4 (30:50):
Hey, they absolutely do. And I love the fact that
it matters to them.
Speaker 9 (30:53):
Man.
Speaker 3 (30:53):
I'm looking at some of the quotes from Zach mckinnistry
as well, and you know, obviously came very very close
to a setting some big names, and I think that
if those names are a little less of household names,
we might be looking at all stars. Zach McKinstry, but
he says, all the people that voted for me, I
just wanted to say thanks. My wife was really trying
to push it. A lot of friends were too. My
agency did a great job pushing it out there. It
(31:14):
was super cool to see all the fans show up
in Riley Ronbie to try and get there. What I
love about that he gave credit to everybody else, except
for the fact that when we look at his numbers,
you're like, well, no, no, no, dog, you deserve the credit,
Zach mcintry. But he's sitting here talking about from his family,
to his business people, to the fans, to the organization
getting behind him and pushing him to a place that
(31:35):
was a.
Speaker 4 (31:36):
Shock to a lot of people.
Speaker 3 (31:37):
There were a lot of people who woke up and realized, like, whoa,
he almost upset pregnant, you know, And so it's pretty
cool to see, I know, he says, somewhat of a
path to get there, and hopefully, you know, this modo
that we see that's been following the Tigers around this
whole season, hopefully that gives us a little bit more,
a little bit more spring, a little bit more of
that dust throwing, and see if the Tigers can get
(31:57):
one more or two more All Stars in there.
Speaker 6 (31:59):
Yep, as Bach McKinstry. Also, for what it's worth, the
Tigers aren't a team that steals a lot of bases,
but sach McKinstry does lead the team and steals with
ten by a wide margin. They really don't do a
lot of running, but what they do is they run
the bases really well. It seems like they take the
first to third on a single at a high clip.
(32:20):
They go second to home. They're just a team that
does all of the fundamentals the right way, and that's
one of the reasons why they're just such a They're
a machine. That's what they are. They're a they're basically
they're they're hammerers. Like I said, they don't go on
those super long winning streaks, but they win every freaking seriest.
Speaker 3 (32:42):
So he does give credit more credit to somebody. So
he says, Hint deserves ninety nine point nine percent of
the credit. Well, he is one of the engine moving
this train.
Speaker 6 (32:55):
There's no manager who's ever existed in the history of
baseball that deserves ninety nine point nine percent of the credit.
Come on, come on again. I love aj Hinch, but
the way that people act like this would be a
twenty games under five hundred team if Hinch wasn't the manager.
Drives me insane. He's a great manager, but.
Speaker 4 (33:11):
Come onst he's been active.
Speaker 6 (33:13):
In that's absurd. Listen to what you have to say.
Does he does he having a cy young picture that
he can throw out there every five days? Does that help?
Or is it still ninety nine percent? Just having a
guy like Riley Green you can put out there every
single day and have him have an MVP caliber season?
Is that aj Hinch's motivation or something. Give him the
(33:37):
amount of credit that he deserves, which is a ton,
but ninety nine point nine and there's people that.
Speaker 7 (33:42):
Will agree with this.
Speaker 3 (33:43):
Come on, because a Hinchfield, Jackson, Riley Green, that's why
he's doing this now, I'm sure.
Speaker 6 (33:50):
According to some man, come on, Daily didn't deserve ninety
nine point nine percent of the credit.
Speaker 5 (33:56):
Phil No.
Speaker 14 (34:00):
Suspected.
Speaker 6 (34:00):
I know, I know that talentless team with all of
like Isaiah Thomas, Joe you know now.
Speaker 12 (34:07):
You're sucking up all you're sucking up. You disrespect the
legacy of Chuck Daily, fucking genius.
Speaker 13 (34:14):
Come on, Sam, I expecting Chuck Daily by saying he
doesn't deserve ninety nine.
Speaker 5 (34:21):
Yes it does.
Speaker 6 (34:22):
That's insane.
Speaker 4 (34:23):
He controlled the Para Boys two championships. Who's goddamn credits?
Speaker 5 (34:27):
Give credit? God?
Speaker 6 (34:33):
Oh my god, I love it.
Speaker 14 (34:46):
You guys cracking out.
Speaker 4 (34:48):
You guys.
Speaker 6 (34:51):
The credit. You guys don't oh ship.
Speaker 14 (34:57):
You'll even got just to cracking up over here. Justin
is on the line, by the way.
Speaker 2 (35:02):

Speaker 14 (39:54):
That's a little bit of like a pot in the kettle.
That's a little bit of the pot of the kettle.
Speaker 3 (39:59):
Look is every he agrees with you? Ninety nine is crazy,
ninety five point five is right on the market.
Speaker 5 (40:05):
It's not.
Speaker 6 (40:08):
As I asked this in the chat. If aj Hitch
deserves ninety nine point nine percent of the credit, then
why were they a losing team for the majority of
his tenure because he was managing that fault? Ah, because
he was. But if a manager can do that, he
should be able to win with anybody. No, because your
(40:28):
talent got better they developed, Like like, does Dan Campbell
get ninety nine point nine nine per credit of the
Lion's success? Does JB. Bickerstaff get ninety nine point nine
nine nine percent of the Pistons success? You would never
say that, but for some reason, the narrative, some reason,
I still think a lot of you people in the
(40:49):
chat act like this is a team full of like
little engines that could This is a great team with
a lot of talent.
Speaker 3 (40:55):
I see that now, but before the season, we did
think it was a little a lot of little engines
that could in the bit too.
Speaker 6 (41:00):
I said, eighty eight and seventy four, even with the injuries.
Speaker 3 (41:03):
Yeah, I mean, I thought that we would see some
guy step into some stardom. But as a as a
general consensus, I think that a lot of people did
think that this.
Speaker 4 (41:11):
Was similar to last year squad. There was a lot
of talk about what the injuries were work. I do
believe there were a lot of.
Speaker 3 (41:16):
People thought this was a team that was like a
full of little engines that could, And now we see
these guys are actually turning into all star level players.
And I do believe that Hinch gets ninety five point
I give him some credit.
Speaker 6 (41:30):
But my goodness, dude, like these these.
Speaker 4 (41:34):
People, God's yelling at you. All Caps developed them, Samuel.
Speaker 6 (41:39):
Well, SHOT's an idiot. Shot doesn't know anything. Would harek
School will be a bomb if AJ Hinch wasn't his manager,
would Rightley Greed.
Speaker 5 (41:46):
Be a ball he got?
Speaker 6 (41:48):
Oh my goodness, guys, let's just make AJ Hinch not
just manager of the Year and best manager of all time.
Let's make him king of the universe.
Speaker 3 (41:57):
The n T believes that Brad Holmes, it's ninety nine
point nine, nine to nine percent of the credit of
the person that he was brought in after.
Speaker 17 (42:04):
I mean, if we win the World Series this year,
this will be twice in the last ten years. Aj
Hinch has taken the worst team in baseball and coach
them up to becoming the best team.
Speaker 6 (42:11):
He's a great manager, but both of those teams had
talent that developed under him. Carlos Korea's a lot of
baseball teams have talent.
Speaker 2 (42:18):
You have to be able to manage the time.
Speaker 6 (42:19):
I understand that we've been seen to understand.
Speaker 3 (42:21):
I mean, and I get what you're saying in terms
of nine nine point nine, But the more that we
do talk about it, it's like, Yo, this guy has
done some pretty amazing things. If he bookends a World Series,
I definitely believe that he deserves to have his career
under a more positive microscope than the asterisk or negative
microsoft the scope that has been under. But now you
(42:43):
see what he's doing in Detroit, the ultimate Oh, if
you really think you're a winner, go.
Speaker 4 (42:46):
Do it in Detroit.
Speaker 3 (42:47):
We've heard people say that mockingly about people like Katie
and Lebron. The super team era and we've also heard
about coaches. Aj Hinch is the one that's actually done
it and come here. And it's not just the winning,
it's not just what we're doing in the division, but
it's even with some of these players.
Speaker 4 (43:01):
I expected not a.
Speaker 3 (43:03):
Lot of the spencer talkers at all, And I don't
understand what they solved outs with some of these players
that for years the organization couldn't figure out. But I
do definitely took the cap there into his vision. Obviously,
I don't know how much Kredie he gets. I think
it's a no brainer of Chris Fetter is in your
backyard and wants to come here, you go ahead and
you get to a Chris Fetter some of the hitting
coaches and such.
Speaker 4 (43:23):
But I do believe that that also lends to the
pedigree that he is similar to a Sharol Moore. He's
see what he's doing as a program build over there.
We'll talk about that later, Yeah, Sloton.
Speaker 6 (43:33):
But what's funny is justin I promise one second, Sam Flinn,
have you heard of the historic point zero one chance
for the Tigers last year? But does aj Hinch get
penalized for them starting so bad for them being a
losing team the year before, a losing team the year before,
a losing team the year before. Obviously, a lot of
it has to do with the talent on the field,
(43:55):
and I'm not saying that AJ Hinch isn't the best
manager in baseball. If you're to ask me who i'd
rake number one, I have no problem ranking AJ Hinch
as the best manager in baseball. I don't hate Hinch
at all. I just think there's a fundamental misunderstanding with
a lot of people on what a manager actually does
and doesn't do. Players have to play. They have to play.
Speaker 9 (44:17):
Just like with the.
Speaker 6 (44:18):
Lions, everybody glazes all of their players as they should.
With the Pistons, everybody glazed Kate Cunningham and glazed A
sar and well as as as much as you could
glaze like Malie Beasley and whatnot, although maybe not so
much anymore. Players have to Players have to play.
Speaker 4 (44:36):
They do have to play. But you look at the
Pistons right now, similar talent. But you look at a J. B.
Speaker 3 (44:40):
Burger staff, you look at the TJ. Langdon, Trajan Langdon, TJ. Langdon,
Trajan Langdon, and you look exactly what these guys have
been able to do it. It's where if you had
any doubts or questions or wonderings about the aspects of
a culture or an atmosphere and or that a person
could bring to a situation.
Speaker 4 (44:58):
In addition to the.
Speaker 3 (44:59):
X's and o's, we've seen a lot of these coaches
in front office personnel have success in the NBA, but
for some reason, J. B. Brickerstov and traj and Langdon
were the ones who are able to come here and
I absolutely not just write the ship, but get more
out of this thing than we thought was previous.
Speaker 4 (45:13):
Was there previously. There's some people who did not believe
k conny and would reach the levels that he did.
Speaker 3 (45:17):
There's some people who did not believe the Pistols would
have the historic rise that they did last season, but
they did under these coach, under this coach in GM
and or President of Basketball Operations.
Speaker 4 (45:27):
Let me not disrespect mister Langdon that way.
Speaker 3 (45:29):
So honestly, the real thing is again this is beginning
to be first world whatever that like you said, because
we haven't won super Bowls of championships yet with these
with these people, but whatever is in between first world
and second world and close to the first world problems.
That's where we are right now, when we can sit
here and wonder who is responsible, what is a secret
to the sauce? How was the poly split amongst all
(45:52):
of these good teams with expectations to improve on already
good seasons.
Speaker 4 (45:57):
I absolutely love where we are with Detroit Sports. The
Red Wings get their Red Wings.
Speaker 6 (46:02):
Hey, speaking of which, that is a great transition.
Speaker 16 (46:04):
We've got Justin Satawa onwa.
Speaker 6 (46:10):
That's mostly my fault, but a lot of your guys's
fault as well. And I think this is something that
we can hopefully all uh kumbaya on. Because if you
guys didn't hear this weekend, the Detroit Red Wings actually
they made a move. They traded Peter Barazik, a twenty
twenty six fourth round pick and a twenty twenty seven
second just now former and longtime Anaheim Ducks goaltender John Gibson.
(46:40):
So Justin, I'll just give you the floor. How do
you feel about the trade? Do you think the Red
Wings got better?
Speaker 9 (46:47):
I love the trade. I think they got better. I
think they got better by a significant margin.
Speaker 20 (46:51):
I personally believe that John Gibson has been wasting his
current and I'm for the last couple of years, and
he has been unhappy for the last couple of years,
and he is one of those goalies that has needed
change of scenery. You saw last year even in his
limited time after he lost the starting job, that he
was able to bounce back and still get that nine
point save percentage which everyone fawns over.
Speaker 9 (47:11):
That's something I believe that he'll be able to replicate
in Detroit.
Speaker 20 (47:14):
I understand there are concerns about the two seasons prior
with Mitt with eight eights and point eight nine save percentages,
But at the end of the day.
Speaker 9 (47:23):
The goalies are weird. They have some of the weirdest
tendencies and some of the weirdest consistency.
Speaker 20 (47:28):
Levels of any player. Like you saw last year Tristian
Jarry got sent to the Miners, then came back and
had a nine to one save percentage in a winning
record for US a year.
Speaker 9 (47:36):
It's just such a weird position to play.
Speaker 20 (47:39):
So if we do make those change those upgrades, like
Steve Eiserman is saying to the defense and to the forwards,
this should be a goalie that he would have been
the best goalie if we would have kept Morassic buy
up further margin, and Neil told me in the Hockey
League or Chay, He's like, well, aren't they the same
guy but just different contracts?
Speaker 9 (47:59):
No, they're not.
Speaker 20 (48:00):
When you're looking at a guy that in John Gibson,
who has had multiple seasons of nine to two say
percentages on long clips of games, and Peter Marazik has
only had a nine to one or a nine to
two say percentage with limited sample sizes.
Speaker 9 (48:15):
I've seen the consistency from John Gibson before and now that.
Speaker 20 (48:18):
You're putting him in a position where he's going to
be competing for a playoffs, but I think you're going
to get some of the best John Gibson that you
can possibly get. With that being said, the career say
percentages are not that big of a difference. Nine to
one nine ZHO six isn't a very big difference in
say percentage, But when you're looking at it over a season,
that is a difference in six to eight goals. And
(48:41):
when you're looking in tight games and the Red Wings
issue is losing tight games, those are games that might
flip the pendulum to the other side. So in an
Eastern conference that has gotten better, you got better as well.
And at the same time, you didn't give up a
single premium asset in this trade.
Speaker 9 (48:59):
There. You didn't give up a first rounder, you didn't
give up one of your prospects. You gave up Moraazac.
Speaker 20 (49:05):
To me, this is a low risk, high reward trade
that you will see the benefits of this year.
Speaker 2 (49:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (49:12):
No, I am one hundred percent on board. And just
for some more context on a John Gibson for those
of you who weren't paying too much attention to Anaheim
Ducks hockey over the years, which why would you When
the Ducks were a consistent playoff team, John Gibson, as
you said, Justin was putting up nine to ten save percentage,
nine to twenty save percentages like at least that for
(49:34):
about five for about five consecutive years, he looked like
he was going to maybe be a future Hall of
Fame level goaltender. But when the Ducks organization tore it
down and have been in a rebuild that's been almost
as long as the Red Wings, John Gibson's numbers they suffered.
But last year and I have some power stats that
I actually got Curtis courtesy of a Jim Costa from
(49:57):
the flagship shout out a great stats. Yes, and this
was from last year, a year where he was a
little banged up and he was relegated to be in
the backup he was he had. He played twenty nine
games in twenty eight starts. He was sixth in goals
saved above expected, sixth in save percentage above expected, he
was thirteenth and wins above replacement. He was fifth in
high danger saves above expected, which I know the Red
(50:21):
Wings have to do more, but I think, if it's
tough to say, because he was a little banged up,
the Red Wings might have been a playoff team with
John Gibson last year, even part of their rotation. They
didn't miss it by much. Is that a crazy statement.
Speaker 9 (50:37):
I don't think that's crazy.
Speaker 20 (50:38):
I think that they probably would have ended up on
the outside looking in at the end of the day.
But I do think this would have gotten you closer.
And when you're looking at just keeping arms of this
arms race going in the Eastern Conference. As you see,
you know, Montreal continues sorry, a's my dog. Montreal continues
to get better. The Islanders continueing better, The Bruins continue
(51:01):
to get better. The Devils are gonna get Jack Hughes back.
These are all teams that are going to be better
next year and you have to continue to improve and
this is where you do that. There's no doubt that
he would have been the best goaly on the Wings
last year if Glenn. I don't think it's it's that
far out to say that they would have made the
playoffs last year with him because they were only a
few points out, and like I said, those six to
seven goals really could have made a big difference at
(51:23):
some point throughout the season, and that was Morezik's career
save percentage. Last year, Marezza save percentage was in the eights.
So at the end of the day, like you are
going from a guy who was in the eighth to
the niants and that is a huge difference. So I
don't think that's too far out offense to say. I
could possibly even sell you on the fact that this
is the most substantial move anyone in the Eastern Conference
(51:44):
has made this far in the offseason.
Speaker 3 (51:46):
And I actually wanted to ask you about Carter Baar,
but before we get there, is there anything that you
want to see the Detroit Red Wings do, specifically in
front of Gibson on the defense.
Speaker 20 (51:56):
Yes, there are two names that I have been a
tracted to all offseason, and I feel like.
Speaker 3 (52:02):
That would get you a few more of those goals
saved based on what you're putting out in front of him.
Speaker 20 (52:07):
One hundred per one hundred percent right, Kolid and Steve
Weisman has come out. He is mostly attuned to the
trade market right now because there's a lot of RFAs
out there that fit his timeline and are cheap. Because
you're seeing with the Gibson trade, he didn't want to
give up premium mass sets to create another hole on
the roster. He wanted to bring in a guy who
would fill that hole without taking away from the defense
(52:30):
or the offense of the future, which was a great
move by him that he got John Gibson for pennies.
Speaker 9 (52:35):
Now he's going to turn two.
Speaker 20 (52:36):
I believe Candre Miller, left handed defenseman out of the
New York Rangers who is twenty five years old, as
need of a restricted frage of concept track. He's an
offensive defenseman who plays a free flow style that will
perfectly compliment most cider and I think that he will
be able to get him for a second in the
third round pick of the future and not have to
leverage any of his prospects that he feels so fondly over.
(53:00):
So I think that that's a movie he's looking at.
And then the free agent market, he said it is
thin in the frege of market. But I do truly
believe he's going to look at aaronach Bladd. I think
that those rumors have a lot of ability to it.
Act like grew up just across the border Ontario, and
I think that that is the type of guy he's
looking to bring in, a veteran who has one championships,
who can teach most Sider and Edmonson how to be
(53:21):
that physical defenseman that they're trying to build their crud.
Speaker 3 (53:25):
Yeah, and you know what to talk about Carter Bear
the forward taken by Steve Weisman, And you know, there's been,
i would say, many different reactions so far, but I've
seen a lot of people be able to kind of
come to a meeting point of believing that this kid
is going to be really good for the Detroit Red
Wings one day, whether it's sooner rather than later, or
(53:46):
maybe a little bit later. But if you can't tell
me about Carter Barer and what we can't expect out
of him the type of player he is.
Speaker 9 (53:52):
Well, you can expect a few things out of Carter Barer.
The first thing is he's a high motor player.
Speaker 20 (53:57):
He's always moving his feet, he's always being physical, and
he's very, very smart in terms of his hockey IQ.
He also has a wicked shot. He put up forty
goals in little around forty games. He would have been
a top ten pick if he didn't tears achilles. This
is a very similar and not exactly in the player
because I think Jamison Williams would have went in the
(54:18):
top five if he didn't tears acl but it's very
similar in the regard where he fell because of his
achilles tear.
Speaker 9 (54:25):
Like he would have been a top ten pick.
Speaker 20 (54:27):
He would have been a higher rated prospect, but because
of his achilles, Arry dropped out of the top ten.
So this is a very big swing by Steve Eiserman
looking for a top six scorer. Well, if you can,
if Carnter Behar can guarantee the fact that he's a
top six player in the NHL, this is an absolute
win by Steve Eisman in his draft, and he has
that potential. He's a little bit bigger than Alex to
(54:48):
break it, but plays very similar to Alex to break it.
Speaker 9 (54:50):
So I think that this is a very good pick.
Speaker 6 (54:52):
This is a.
Speaker 20 (54:55):
Low floor, high ceiling pick, so you don't know how
well it's gonna pan out. But he has all the
in tangibles of an NHL player already, other than the
fact he needs to get his weight up a little bit.
So I think in a year or two in Grand
Rapids and you could be seeing a possibility of him
starting to break into that roster.
Speaker 9 (55:10):
And the only time will tell you. I want to
see him in the NHL.
Speaker 20 (55:14):
I want to see him in the AHL and see
him against professional hockey players because it is hard. The
w is not the most competitive you junior league in candidate,
it is a Tier one league, but it is not
as good as the OHL, so it's hard to really
rate prospects in that league on a fair plane.
Speaker 9 (55:29):
But at the same time, he jumps off the tape.
Speaker 20 (55:32):
He's a great skater, he's got a great shot, he's
got a great one timer, and he's going to bring
a lot of skill to this Red Wings team whenever
he gets there.
Speaker 6 (55:40):
So justin we've talked about the John Gibson move, and
we're both pretty uh kumbaya on that. What do the
red Wings need to do? We talked about a little
bit with a KeAndre Miller, but even beyond that, in
order for the red Wings season two offseason to be
a success, what do the Red Wings need to do
(56:00):
the rest of the offseason at minimum? I'm not talking
obviously Marner stuff like that. I'll even take that out
of there. What would be the minimum acceptable Red Wings
offseason to you? Gibson included I think and.
Speaker 20 (56:13):
I asked for two of the three when it came
to goalie, top six forward, and top four forward. But
now seeing how the options are kind of shaken out,
I'm kind of going three for three. I need to
see a goalie and then I need to see a
top six forward in a top four D. I need
to see all three, and if I don't see the
top six foward, I need to see two top four
(56:34):
d Because at the end of the day, you really
have a chance to.
Speaker 9 (56:39):
Solidify your decor for the next five years this offseason.
If you were to bring an act Bite and Caandre.
Speaker 20 (56:46):
Miller, where you're only opening really is for asp and
that's the life I want to live. I don't want
to have to be relying on prospects for as we're
kind of getting into this window. To me, we are
this offseason and then another serious offseason from competing to
win a playoff series. I'm not talking about getting to
the playoffs. I'm talking about winning a playoff series against
(57:07):
a very good team. So that's where I really want
to see them go three for three because the way
that the cap is going up exponentially, it really is
so intriguing. The way that you're gonna be able to
add every single free agency well keeping your r phase,
and you're gonna be able to have this window where
the contracts are gonna be expiring on guys who you
(57:30):
don't want to be here, and then you're gonna be
able to re up the guys like Raymond and Larkin
at that point, two bigger contracts that fit the cap,
and you're gonna get rid of those expiring contracts at
the same time.
Speaker 9 (57:40):
You're really hitting a perfect contract window.
Speaker 20 (57:43):
And you can really start to see what Steve Eiserman
has been setting up for years with the contracts, with
the prospects, and how the RFAs and the UFAs all
combined with each other. To make this perfect mix moving
forward where he's going to have the flexibility to add
whoever he wants to this team when they are ready to.
Speaker 4 (58:00):
Yeah, and just one more from me.
Speaker 3 (58:02):
One of the things that I know I heard from
the Puck and No Wars here is you want to
see more toughness and.
Speaker 4 (58:08):
More grit out of the squad.
Speaker 3 (58:09):
Do you believe that's something that they are going to
solve this offseason, even if even if it's marginal. Is
that something you believe?
Speaker 7 (58:16):
You know what?
Speaker 4 (58:16):
I can see it now.
Speaker 20 (58:18):
I think there's gonna be a step forward in the
right direction, especially with a full offseason to Tom McClellan
taking out who they had and who they don't, and
I know that he will instill that no matter what,
and I do expect improvement. But at the end of
the day, I do expect them to add guys that
do help them get to the identity of more of
a physical hockey team. Like the names that they're linked
(58:40):
to are all big, physical defenseman and physical forwards.
Speaker 9 (58:43):
So I expect there to.
Speaker 20 (58:45):
Be a move back towards the mean of becoming more
of a physical team because of the fact that that
is the players that Steve Eisman seems to be looking
at the fact that they weren't more in on Noah Dobson.
Speaker 9 (58:58):
Kind of shows me that fact as well.
Speaker 20 (59:00):
Because they are looking at more of the physical side
of the defenseman. Because Dobson and Kendra Miller are extremely
similar players, but Candra Miller is more of a physical
presence out there than Noah Dobson. So I'm curious how
he navigates the trade market for us of the offseason
because I think that that, like you said, he's there's
(59:20):
more opportunities there to get players that are better value
than there are in free agency because you also learned
to sign them to long term deals. There's a lot
of short term options out there in the trade market
compared to long term options in the veegency.
Speaker 3 (59:32):
Hey, justin absolutely crushing it here. Shout out to Woodward Wings.
That is that dude, justin spin on Rex spending of
the heavyweights and my guy Flannel Sam. You guys have
been crushing us on the latest episode as well.
Speaker 4 (59:45):

Speaker 3 (59:46):
Hey, you held it down for the na for the
NHL Draft, So continue to say tapped in with all
of the side content.
Speaker 4 (59:52):
Shout out to what we're Wings and that do justin

Speaker 9 (59:55):

Speaker 20 (01:00:00):

that you tap in the next two days. Me, Flannel
and Spencer have uh some free agency Frenzy pop up
pods that we're gonna have throughout the next two days
because of how crazy efregency will hopefully be.
Speaker 9 (01:00:15):
So let's go right wing. Steve Eiserman continue to add
to this core.
Speaker 20 (01:00:18):
We are so close and thanks guys to have a
great rest for show, and Flannel don't crash out on
me again.
Speaker 9 (01:00:23):
It's you don't need to. These guys are pushing your buttons.
I was on your side. I was on your side.
If I was there, I would have I would add

Speaker 4 (01:00:37):

Speaker 9 (01:00:43):

He serves it. He had a great day, So happy birthday,

All right, brother Blessings, let's get to all he that
was cool. Now we have to get to more depressing things.
Oh my gosh, we gotta talk the Detroit Pistons. We
gotta talk what all this means? Malik Beasley being investigated
by the US District Attorney's office and allegations of gambling
related to NBA games and prop bets.
Speaker 14 (01:01:17):
Who I know what this means?
Speaker 6 (01:01:20):
What does this mean?
Speaker 4 (01:01:21):
Jav Or?
Speaker 6 (01:01:22):
Do you want to hold it till after the break?
Speaker 5 (01:01:23):
Yeah? We can hold it.
Speaker 14 (01:01:24):
I mean we can hold it.
Speaker 13 (01:01:25):
But I'm pretty sure everyone is all on lockstep. He
ain't coming back, lessa, he ain't coming back, but to
just now that he's not coming back.
Speaker 3 (01:01:33):

Speaker 4 (01:06:55):
Is graz you clean that up before we go?
Speaker 2 (01:07:00):
All right?
Speaker 3 (01:07:01):
Now on a more serious matters, goodness gracious to detrade Pistons.
You know sometimes you can't have it all. You can't
just have the season go as historically great as it was.
Speaker 4 (01:07:12):
You know, you have this vet.
Speaker 3 (01:07:14):
They had three prime vets or two prime vets that
people thought maybe they can flip either Tim Hardaway or
Elite Besy at the trade deadline. Instead they added them
to another vet. Why because the Pistons they pushed trades
in Landon He said, no, they have exceeded what we
thought was possible, and yes, it has changed the way
that we're going to do things. So instead of this
team being sellers, are making marginal moves that actually went
(01:07:35):
out there and they made an impact move at the deadline,
and the Beasy asked, please don't trade me. So you
want to talk about things that can compound based on
this news, Not only do you not boaster your ability
to pick up assets, they could have picked up draft
picks in this draft. You want to talk about moves
that could have made and their entire off season could
(01:07:55):
have been better curated.
Speaker 4 (01:07:57):
But we will hold reserve will whole judgment.
Speaker 3 (01:08:01):
Malik Bezley is being investigated by the US District Attorney's
Office on allegations of gambling related to NBA games and
prop bets.
Speaker 4 (01:08:09):
And that's just if you haven't heard by now. This
news broke over the.
Speaker 3 (01:08:12):
Weekend and it sent Pistons, Twitter, Pissons, social media, Pistons fans,
Pistons world, and the NBA world into an absolute frenzy.
Speaker 4 (01:08:19):
Finals, Yes it did.
Speaker 6 (01:08:23):
And let me just say this, Malik Beasley had a
phenomenal regular season for the Pistons last year. They would
not have gotten as far as they did without the
contributions of Malik Beasley. He was one of those guys
who was exactly what they needed at the time, was
exactly what they needed to help maximize Kate Cunningham, so
(01:08:45):
that a lot of his potential assists turns turned into
assists assists Because of course, Malak's ability to shoot the ball,
shoot the three ball, as a movement shooter, come off screens,
catch and shoot really quick. He was pretty much dead
eye as a last year. However, with this coming out,
and I know that I'm supposed to reserve judgment, I
(01:09:08):
will just say right now that I Flannel Sam have
had enough of Malik Beasley. He can stay gone for
all that I'm concerned for for as far as as
I'm concerned, and I have a couple of reasons why.
Number one. The evidence keeps mounting that Malik Beasley is
a knucklehead. He had that jail sentence in twenty twenty
(01:09:32):
one where he was arrested for marijuana possession, concealing stolen property,
and for brandishing a firearm while she served seventy eight
days in.
Speaker 2 (01:09:40):
Jail for that bullshit.
Speaker 4 (01:09:41):
You can smoke weed?
Speaker 6 (01:09:43):
Okay, all right, did you hear everything else that I said?
Speaker 14 (01:09:47):
The second?
Speaker 6 (01:09:49):
Obviously there was a reason though he served time in jail,
So it's gonna be the same thing where obviously everything's
an excuse. I'm sure he also cheated on his wife
with lars A Pippin, a woman who's twenty years older
than him. And if you want to, I mean, they
don't fucking get married, Malik Beasley. If you want to
(01:10:10):
live that rock star lifestyle where you're banging every woman,
don't fucking get married Mary whoa, oh Mary pussy?
Speaker 7 (01:10:18):
What kind of shit is this?
Speaker 6 (01:10:19):
Okay, So you're good with adultery, then you're fine with
it is natural?
Speaker 5 (01:10:24):
No, no, not them.
Speaker 6 (01:10:30):
You're talking to two happily married men at the desk
who wouldn't even think alright, that's fair, that's fair, that's
fair and come. And also before the playoff series against
the Knicks, who was the one talking all the ship?
It was Malik Beasley talk about how Karl Anthony Towns
was the least of his worries and US Pistons fan
ate that up ship talking that bitch boy Karl Anthony Towns.
(01:10:54):
We all know tough bad boy Malik is gonna show.
Speaker 3 (01:10:59):
Is pay pushing because Beasley did not do anything wrong
while in Detroit. Who he was as a member of
the Detroit Pistons was exactly what you would want out
of a MIDI beasy fine.
Speaker 4 (01:11:12):
And when you look into the past, do.
Speaker 5 (01:11:14):
You know what?
Speaker 4 (01:11:15):
He was actually locked up for stuff that white people
don't get locked up for.
Speaker 3 (01:11:20):
Someone pulled up on his home inadvertently, he pulled out
the shotgun, like why are you on my property since
he had the other stuff there, and those people called
the cops on him.
Speaker 4 (01:11:31):
He wound up pleading guilty to this.
Speaker 3 (01:11:34):
That's not knucklehead behavior, that's just regular that That to
me is what I would I'm told that's American behavior.
But for Beezy, for some reason, it doesn't quite apply.
And this man has a record in seventy eight days
served in jail, because of it. I don't condone at all.
Based on my beliefs in my religion, based on my
belief in the Bible, based on my belief in Jesus Christ,
(01:11:55):
in God, I do not condone or believe in an
adultrey at all.
Speaker 4 (01:12:00):
I don't condone that.
Speaker 3 (01:12:01):
I do know that there are people that we revere
and that we uplift that have committed adultery, but for
some reason we might not apply it the same way
that we would to a elite beasy. I am still
conflicted on this because he is responsible for his acts
and his actions. He is responsible for the fact that,
even though it didn't happen with the Pistons, he knew
what happened with the Bucks. We're reserving right, because obviously
(01:12:23):
he's a turney put out there. These are allegations. He
has not been charged with anything formally, but based on
what some of the components of this looks like, it
looks like this man was definitely betting in those games
with the Bucks in that season with that and you
know that that's in your you know that coming here.
That's where I start to question who he is as
(01:12:45):
it relates to how much do you care about this
organization and this team. How much do you care about
what you can contribute to the squad? Or has this
always been about what you thought you could get out
of Detroit? Now, all of a sudden you come here,
you have this prolific season, and now all of a sudden,
you come here and you're to get this contract, and
just I don't know what makes this thing go the
way that it does. I don't know, But on the
(01:13:07):
eve of free agency opening up and all of a sudden,
before the Pistons even can make that mistake, all of
a sudden, there's news of an investigation going on. So
it's like, do I believe that there are certain elements
of who Mali Visi is? And I'm like, you know what,
it might not be the best for this squad.
Speaker 4 (01:13:22):
Probably.
Speaker 3 (01:13:23):
I'm not sitting here caping for his character or anything
in that nature, because I don't know him personally. But
I do believe that there's a notion if we're going
to bring up who a person is to be a
little bit more fair and balanced to what the actual
situation is.
Speaker 6 (01:13:38):
Can I be very clear about something?
Speaker 4 (01:13:41):
Definitely?
Speaker 6 (01:13:42):
I didn't When he came to Detroit. I was obviously
happy I wasn't. And obviously this was before the talking
shit and then shitting your pants in the playoffs, But
talking about the Larsa Pippen thing, talking about the jail time,
that wasn't something that I used as like, oh, we
can't have this guy here, my thing in the way.
Speaker 3 (01:14:01):
Yeah, I was just pushing back because you say he
must have done something because he served jail time. And
for me, the reason why that's stung is because I
have people who serve my car gets stripped down. We
have a lot of people in our communities who this
is a regular occurrence, and we try to tell the
outside world this is real.
Speaker 4 (01:14:16):
And what are we told, well, you must have did something. No,
sometimes we didn't cool And that was what I was
pushing back on. Just to be more specific about it.
Speaker 6 (01:14:24):
I'm talking about on top of all of that, he
has this investigation and as we all know, this isn't
happening to just every run of the mill NBA player.
It's just I'm not saying that he did it. I'm
not saying that it could be something that's proven to
(01:14:46):
be a nothing burger down the road. But at the
same time, it's just unfortunately, whether it was all, whether
it's his fault all the time or not, there's just
there's always something with him, and that's that's really my
issue at this time.
Speaker 3 (01:15:01):
Yeah, And that to me is where I'm at as well,
Like in terms of is there a noise that just
surrounds him, Yes, And that to me, for a team
that's looking to go from where they were to the
next place, sometimes your talent does not top that. And
that's where I am in complete lockstep with you, complete
Kumbaya with you. I believe that in terms of the
(01:15:21):
term knucklehead, I do believe that that label can be
applied to him appropriately. And that to me is why
I don't believe it is necessarily a smart thing to
move forward with a guy who this type of noise
can pop up at any time. Because that's why I
wanted to make sure I went back and say, look,
there are two different things here.
Speaker 4 (01:15:38):
Do I believe that it is safe? Like am I
where I was last week with Millie Beasley? Absolutely not?
Absolutely not.
Speaker 3 (01:15:45):
Last week I was like, I think he's the guy
you gotta bring back. Look how prolific he was and
how historic he was. You move up another week and
you're telling me that there are things from your past,
not even that you're doing here. So I give you
credit for who you've been here in Detroit, but right
now who you were in the past. This is affecting
us today. And we have a young, impressionable team and
we're at a crossroads right now as it relates to
(01:16:06):
how this team appropriately moves forward to boaster this being
a top four team in the East and not losing round.
Speaker 4 (01:16:12):
We see how quickly a team.
Speaker 3 (01:16:13):
Can make the playoffs and then within a year or
two they're on the All dysfunction list. We're looking at
teams like Orlando Magic, We're looking at the Lanta Hawks,
We're looking at Philly, We're looking at these teams who
sometimes they're putting a position like this and they have
to scramble and it's not done right. And so to
know that the Pistons are in that position because of
Malie Besey noise, whether it was done here.
Speaker 4 (01:16:32):
Or not, that to me is where I'm one hundred
percent lock step like you.
Speaker 3 (01:16:36):
You don't want that noise around here, You don't want
that error associated around here?
Speaker 6 (01:16:41):
Yeah? Can I And just for the record, there's also
some basketball things that bothered me with maligue Beasley, and
of course it has pretty much everything to do with
what he did in the playoffs to be fair. To
be fair, I gotta shout that out as well, because
I would never try a discount waited. In the regular season,
absolutely phenomenal, could have won six Man of the Year. However,
(01:17:02):
did do you have the twenty twenty four to twenty
five Malik Beasley? That little graphic that I that I
sent to really highlight some things, and I feel like
I have mentioned this before. In the regular season, he
averaged sixteen a game on forty three percent from the
floor forty one point six percent from three, which you
could route up to forty two. In the playoffs fourteen
(01:17:23):
points per game on an abysmal thirty seven percent from
the floor and thirty four percent from three. And honestly,
I understand if you say that he would have been
valuable for the regular season, irregardless of the playoffs.
Speaker 5 (01:17:36):
But you know, this is a.
Speaker 6 (01:17:37):
Personal vendetta with me. I had to watch the Indiana
Pacers I had and this is regardless, this is I'm
even taking Pascal Siakam out of it. I had to
watch Miles Turner lead them in scoring in two playoff games.
Andrew Nembhart lead them in scoring in three playoff games.
Benedict Mathern lead them in scoring in three playoff games.
Obi Toppen did it once. TJ McConnell put up per
(01:17:58):
thirty six numbers in the playoffs of twenty points, seven rebounds,
eight assists on two steals per game, and I saw
eight Aaron Nee Smith shoot forty nine percent from behind
the arc. Malik Beasley in the playoffs for the Pistons
did not have an impact as close to about six
or seven pacer role players that I just mentioned. And
that doesn't mean throw away everything he did in the
(01:18:20):
regular season. It's just he may have been what the
Pistons needed this year, and maybe not beyond that, even
if this gambling stuff didn't come up. There's basketball reasons
too why I had gotten really really irritated with Malik Beasley.
Speaker 3 (01:18:35):
The only thing that irritated me about him basketball wise
was just relistically his playoff performance. Sure, there's nothing else
as it relates to who he is as a basket
player on a regular season that tells me he shouldn't
be on this team. And that's where, if who he
is in terms of his past being also he's not
a good playoff performer, then I don't know how much
you can trust giving him a boatload of money. But
(01:18:56):
at the fourteen point one million dollars that it was
rumored to be that Sean reported, the Pistons are gonna
give them. Basically, that to me was a good deal
for a player like that. You're talking about Elik Monk
getting nineteen to twenty million a year. Fourteen million for
Malik Beasley still allowed the Pistols to go out there
and do a lot of things. This is what the
messes up here. When you got those players that you
know you're gonna lie back in and they're talented. If
(01:19:18):
they're not signing Malik Beasley, they can no longer operate
as a team over the cap and bring in other
people with their available cap space and then go over
the cap to resign guys like Shooter and Beasley. Not
having Beasley now means that they can't do that. They
can definitely reuse his available cap hold if they're not
going to resign them, but they're gonna lose effectively the
(01:19:39):
exception that they could have used with Malik Beasley. So
this does twist a little bit of what the Pistons
were gonna be able to do. I'm appreciative of the
fact that they do have a guy like Michael Mike
blackistone in the front office who understands how to navigate
the cap and all that.
Speaker 4 (01:19:56):
But this does put a little bit of a wrench
even some depths.
Speaker 3 (01:20:00):
I don't know if people quite know about with the
Detroit Pistons offseason look ahead and yeah, for me personally,
gonna say, it's not worth it to know, like, Okay,
in the playoffs, he's going to not be the weapon
because it's not terrible.
Speaker 4 (01:20:13):
It's not.
Speaker 3 (01:20:13):
It's not so if Asar Thompson had these three points
shooting numbers or even kid, we'd be like great. But
it's also because of everything else they do. So if
Malik is not as elite as he was in a
regular season, is he still able to have that type
of impact in the playoffs if the numbers go down
to respectable and it's like it just doesn't.
Speaker 6 (01:20:32):
In the thirty four percent from three. That's the reason
I bring that up, and you alluded to it was
because that's what he did for this team, and that's
what he was so elite at during the season, and
those thirty four percent from three that was on ten
attempts per game. That is the Dictionary definitionistion of shooting
your teams out of games. Thirty four percent on ten
(01:20:54):
attempts for somebody who really doesn't contribute that much. Beside that,
that's really what or to me, especially when I've seen
countless role players, particularly I always mentioned with the Indiana
Pacers just rise above themselves. If Malik Beasley would have
done even ninety percent of what he would have did
in the regular season, I think the Pistons might have advanced.
Speaker 4 (01:21:15):
I think, yeah, I'm one undred percent believe that.
Speaker 3 (01:21:18):
And I know this, there are so many different ways
to look at it because and you ask yourself, who
are they if they do have and Isaiah Stewart there,
And I know people don't necessarily look at that as
a one to one correlation, But I do believe when
your team has more of your dogs and more of
your strength than it allows you to play to more
your strengths when you don't, then you're gonna overextend players.
And I do believe that Beasley was not just tired
but also over extended. But if he's not putting in
(01:21:39):
the work during the season, because we talked about this
with k too. Dead legs, sure, but Kaid would tell
be the first to tell you. But now I know
what it takes, right, So before Kay didn't understood it
and still it saying what it took.
Speaker 4 (01:21:49):
To get through a regular season appropriately. After he got a.
Speaker 3 (01:21:52):
Couple seasons under his belt, he says, I now know
how I have to work with the playoffs. He now
knows what he has to do to work. When Michael
Jordan back in the day was what he wasn't every
year and he would go and work on it. Is
Milik Besy the type of guy who goes and works
in the offseason and comes back stronger, comes back better,
comes back with some new discernible skill or is it
we know he's gonna light it up in the regular
season and Malie Beasley everybody, and that to me is
(01:22:17):
where because big consains we're crazy if we don't keep
easy for the league minimum. I do believe maybe he
becomes a little bit cheaper as free agency plays on,
even if he winds up getting suspended for some portions
of the season if he is found guilty.
Speaker 4 (01:22:29):
But do you still go?
Speaker 3 (01:22:30):
Do you go when you grab Elik Busy for something smaller,
because do I trust that in Detroit, at least with
the season he showed us, the noise will be to
a minimum that I agree, you need the knucklehead noise
to be down.
Speaker 4 (01:22:43):
Like with Jamo, we talked about that.
Speaker 3 (01:22:45):
Whether we think James the criminal that certain people have
tried to pain them to be, we all agree the
noise and the knucklehead behavior has to be turned down.
And I do believe, like if you if you believe
that to be the case, do you grab him? You know,
do you pick him up on a cheaper dew.
Speaker 6 (01:23:01):
Maybe if the investigation reveals that it's not something too
bad and the suspension is only for a portion of
a season, then I'm not necessarily opposed to that. But
here's the thing. One of the reasons why I'm bringing
this all up too is we don't really know the
scope of this. It could be closer to a nothing
(01:23:25):
Burger than a something Burger, but it could also be
Johntay Porter for all we know. That's they're being vague
about this for now.
Speaker 3 (01:23:33):
It's crazy that the Pistons, like this organization is attached
to this multiple times. Now, you know, obviously with the
jam stuff, he was trying to do the right thing.
But what was the stipulation. If my man was like
just in his hotel room or at his house, it'd
have been different. But he's sitting outside waiting for the
team bus. So since he's not in a domoicile, now
all of a sudden he's betting on sports out in
a state that he's It's just like, what in the world. Yeah, okay,
(01:23:56):
so understand the stipulations and get.
Speaker 4 (01:23:58):
Better and move forward.
Speaker 3 (01:24:00):
The gun thing underneath the seat, it's like, this is
knucklehead noise. That's not necessarily to me.
Speaker 4 (01:24:04):
Like, this guy is a criminal and a bad person.
Speaker 3 (01:24:07):
So it's like if they show worth, if they show
able to turn down as they continue to mature and grow,
beazy is where it's like, this guy is not a
he's not a dude. Going from like I'm learning to
be an adult to now I'm an adult. Like Dan
Campbell was very very adamant about who Jamo was as
a human being, as a person, and he was very
(01:24:28):
adamant about the growth that he was showing in his
and he was opening it us about he's showing growth
through his through his immaturity, and he's becoming more mature.
Remember this year, they said, oh, we know he's ready,
and we saw him go out there and he was
a different player than we had ever seen him be.
Put the milig Beezy, you're talking about a guy on
the other end of the spectrum who's already supposed to
be a vet. This is supposed to be one of
our vents. This is supposed to be one of your examples.
(01:24:50):
This is supposed to be one of the guys that
pushed and drives. This is supposed to be one of
the guys that does come back the next year stronger.
Elden Campbell when he got to Detroit, Oh four pistons
shout out to Uncle Elden that dude was a club bro.
He was strong, he was still doing work. And Rashid said,
that's why we at with him. That's why it don't
matter if he can still run away. You used to
We know we could put him on shack and them
(01:25:11):
five files and six files, none of them are gonna
be and ones.
Speaker 4 (01:25:14):
That was what was crazy to me about it.
Speaker 3 (01:25:16):
And so is Malik Beasley being that or is he
just being what he know he can be that to
me is what makes me a little bit more concern.
I'm glad you look at the basketball because it does
it gets you thinking what builds up a basketball playing?
Speaker 4 (01:25:28):
Are they putting in that level of work? And do
you want that as you're talking about restoring great determination,
hard work?
Speaker 3 (01:25:36):
Is that if he's gonna commit to that one hundred percent,
if you can get him on a low well.
Speaker 6 (01:25:40):
And this is where I know big con fifty one
is like crashing out over any slight criticism of Elik Beasley,
which I think is wild to be. The amount of
Beasley hate now is wild, Sam all Caps, if he
has proven innocent on this gambling charge, you need to
wear a Beasley jersey for life for bringing up the past.
First of all, f No, I'm not doing that. Second
(01:26:01):
of all, what is it? What is it with this guy?
Is Malik Beasley and what he could bring to the team,
knowing what he did in the playoffs worth all of
this noise worth the possibility of signing him and it
blowing up in your face. And I understand if you
(01:26:22):
want to say, like league minimum, that's that's that's nothing.
I get it, But yeah, why is Malik Beasley the
hill to die on And I understand regular season phenomenal.
I glazed him as much as anybody in this room.
But it's it's not the first time he's had some discretions.
I'll just say that, not the first time. Where and
(01:26:43):
and and and to me, and I know this is
if if you think I'm playing moral police. Honestly, the
thing that probably bothers me more than anything was being
the only Piston really talking a bunch of ish and
then ishing your pants in the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (01:26:56):
Yeah right there my phone, and he was like, kitty Cat,
ain't fraid of a little kitty kat and blah blah
blah blah blah.
Speaker 4 (01:27:02):
If you're and I expect it be's he's about to
have He's about to have a run.
Speaker 3 (01:27:06):
And in reality, we had more Tim Hardaway games in
that series, and we had the Elite.
Speaker 4 (01:27:13):
We had more thanis shooter games, and that, to me,
that does matter.
Speaker 3 (01:27:16):
The confliction is what do you get during the regular season,
during the dog days, And this is where it's on
the Pistons now, obviously on a Trajan Lanen who was
always gonna be to find more shooters. Losing Beasley is
huge because I know there's a lot of people I
see WEEZD three one three in the chat who continues
to insinuate effectively, who the f is Malik Beasley?
Speaker 4 (01:27:35):
He just somebody in this team's way.
Speaker 3 (01:27:37):
I'm supposed to run from being a hypocrite, and it's
just like, who is Melik Beasley?
Speaker 4 (01:27:42):
He just did something historic for your team.
Speaker 3 (01:27:44):
He did Like, we can't just gloss over, like if
you don't have that in the regular season, you're gonna
definitely get the fourth seed.
Speaker 4 (01:27:50):
You don't get that guaranteed.
Speaker 3 (01:27:52):
So if we are if it's not about being hung
up on Beasley, it's about what exactly is it that
you know is going to give you that this offseason
with the cap hurdles that the Pistons have in front
of them right now, to also make sure that you
do not strangle your cap situation in a year next
year where Jay n Ivy and Jennon During decisions have
to be made. We just saw Jabari Smith step into
(01:28:14):
the twenty to twenty five million dollars a year range.
Speaker 4 (01:28:17):
Jay and I even Jane During gotta be paid. So
what are you doing this year? You see what I'm saying?
Speaker 3 (01:28:21):
You going you get somebody over three four years is
that messing up what you're able to do to bring
back Jayden, Duran Jay and IVASR.
Speaker 4 (01:28:27):
Thompson and then Isaiah Stewart. That to me and Marcus Sasser, they.
Speaker 3 (01:28:32):
Gotta make a decision on him next summer they got
three young players they literally gotta make a decision on.
Then the summer after that they gotta start Thompson and
Isaiah Stewart. Tobias Harris is gone. So that's where for me,
I'm like, I don't know if it's as easy as
hung up on. I think where I get hunk up
on is what exactly is the path forward that keeps
(01:28:52):
his team out of the cute seasons and cute team
pinch your teeth range and puts them into we are
serious top four content. And I do believe Malik beats
these regular season talent gets them there closer than if
he's not on his team.
Speaker 6 (01:29:07):
What Yeah, And that's that's what's so difficult about this.
I mean, if I'm looking just throughout free agency, because
you gotta explore that obviously, I know that the big
name right now and shout out Anson. He did a
real lot on that on the Woodward Sports Socials that banged,
even if a lot of people disagree with him. I know,
(01:29:28):
Nikkeil Alexander Walker is a name that keeps getting brought
up and just with a Nikkeil Alexander Walker. He obviously
didn't have the regular season impact for the Timberwolves that
Malik did for the Pistons last year, but he's a
damn good player. He shot forty three percent on catch
and shoot threes on four attempts per game, so it
gives you some of the movement shooting. I think he's
(01:29:51):
a better rebounder, a better passer, a better defender, probably
a better ball handler. So there's options out there. I mean,
there's Nikkeil Alexander Walker. I don't know how excited people
are about Duncan Robinson, Dorian Finney Smith, Luke Canard, Gary
Trent Junior. I'm not saying that all of them are
gonna come in there and just be movie.
Speaker 2 (01:30:10):
You want to run it back.
Speaker 6 (01:30:12):
I'm not saying that. I'm saying one of your have
it be one of your moves. I mean, I'm not
saying Luke Canard is even my first choice. He's just
a free agent that's pretty dead eye from three. Not
my first choice. By the way, but he's not trash.
Speaker 3 (01:30:24):
It's just when you look at the three point totals, though,
is where it's like, you know, he's not necessarily shooting
the volumes. That a that a Malik Beasley is gonna
go out there and shoot and passion on. And that
to me is where it's like Trajan's gonna have to
go out and find a couple of these players. The
problem is these types of players are trying to step
in the contract raises.
Speaker 4 (01:30:43):
That's the thing.
Speaker 3 (01:30:44):
Can you go out there and find you too, North,
Can you go out there and find you to Luke
Canard's can you go out there and get a couple
of these guys, because these players are still trying to
get paid. Yeah, and that that's what I'm saying. So
the pistols don't find themselves, and it's a reason why
you put a couple of shooters in one as good.
Speaker 4 (01:31:00):
Around the Milik Beasley.
Speaker 3 (01:31:01):
They made minor tweets, you know, not many people was
like yay Tobias Harris, yay Tomato Rey Jr. Yeah, people
were intrigued by Malik Bez at six million, And so
that's why I'm like, you look at these little things.
Speaker 4 (01:31:13):
That people thought were insignificant.
Speaker 3 (01:31:14):
But the problem is this, only the pistols were one
of the handful of teams I had shooting like that
from US specialists, and you saw how much it did
impact things and change things for guys that Cad and
even a J and Ivy before he went out, his
assists per game in this facilitation looked like it took
a little bit of a leak. That to me is
where I'm just like, all right, if Trader can go
out there and find a couple more shooters, which I
(01:31:36):
am all for, if he can do that, and you're
not also, like he said, he's not looking for deals
that are gonna hamstring what they're gonna do ahead, because
I keep believing, and I've been saying this and being
consistent with this, that is next offseason that he's looking
to play in when Tobias Harris contract comes off the books.
Speaker 6 (01:31:52):
Yeah, and that that might be the way to go.
And yet, for the record, I'm not saying just Malik
Beasley out Canard in and run it back. I mean,
I know Santia al Dama is a name out there.
I mean, hell, they could still even take a big swing.
Devin Booker.
Speaker 4 (01:32:10):
Would actually that would move the needle for me than
the needle for me, and what.
Speaker 6 (01:32:14):
Would both of them though, and like my yeah, right right,
both of I want to be very clear both or
if you if you wanted to take like a big swing,
I mean, Devin Booker, Hey, he was at the thrown
out the first pitch. If they're going to do that,
but I'm looking at somebody one hundred percent they would
and and and and that's fair. I'm looking at somebody.
And Willy, I know you talked about him before the show.
(01:32:36):
I'd actually kind of forgotten about him because of how
little money he actually made last year. Would Gary Trent
Junior take a one year six million with the Detroit
Pistons for some reason? He took like a one year
two million with the Bucks last year. I feel like
he could probably get more than one year at six
But Gary Trent Junior and Willy I'll have you speak
(01:32:58):
on him in a second last year, just for some context,
shot forty one percent on catch and shoot threes on
four point four attempts per game. Not quite the volume
of Malik, but a fairly high volume. And for his career,
if you want to just me to highlight something that
really makes me happy. A career forty two percent playoff
(01:33:19):
three point shooter on six point seven attempts per game.
I'm not saying Gary Trent Junior is perfect. I'm not
saying that he's gonna come in and be six Man
of the Year. I'm just if you're looking to replicate
Beasley with a movement shooter from the guard position, Gary
Trent Junior is available, and he's taken cheap deals in
the past.
Speaker 3 (01:33:37):
Yeah, because when I'm looking here, oh my gosh, these
numbers actually incredible. These other people have the field goal
percentage on much lower attempts.
Speaker 4 (01:33:48):
Yes, this is insane.
Speaker 3 (01:33:50):
Okay, do you understand the usage from the three point
line that elite Beasley carries?
Speaker 6 (01:33:55):
I know, I know he was a seven.
Speaker 3 (01:33:56):
Hundred and sixty six three point attempts into that seven
hundred and sixty six three point attempts.
Speaker 4 (01:34:03):
How many makes three one hundred and nineteen.
Speaker 3 (01:34:06):
I don't even know if Gary Trent and naw, I
don't even know if these guys combined for as many
as he made, it's gonna be close. I think they
just went over. That's what I'm saying. So you gotta
get two of these guys, because Malik Beasley was on
an absolute heater that was historic. I don't know if
people quite understand the load that he was bearing from
(01:34:28):
behind the art for the pistons.
Speaker 4 (01:34:30):
That's incredible to me.
Speaker 3 (01:34:30):
You talk about the attempts of the other two, you're
looking at three hundred and seventy for one, You're looking
at four hundred and thirty three for the other. These
guys combined for the amount of three point attempts that
Beasley took.
Speaker 4 (01:34:43):
But that's incredible. But like, let me ask you this,
and he hit a higher percentage.
Speaker 6 (01:34:47):
Believe regular season Eliite Beasley I fawned over last year.
But but if we're talking about let's just say Gary
Trent Junior and Nikhil Alexander Walk.
Speaker 4 (01:34:56):
I'll talk about them.
Speaker 6 (01:34:56):
I think that they're better all around basketball players Malik
Beasley are they Are they ever gonna have a regular
season marksmanship performance like Blik Beasley did last year? I
doubt it because I think that that's very rare. But
I do think they're better basketball players. I think Gary
Trent provides you more on defense. He's got greater size
than Nikki Alexander Walker. I think definitely has a more
(01:35:17):
diverse skill set, and again those.
Speaker 4 (01:35:19):
Are just less less knucklehead noise.
Speaker 6 (01:35:21):
I don't think there's any from either of them, if
we're being honest. I wish Gary Trent Junior didn't choke
in that one playoff game that allowed Tyres Elbert to
have that moment. But I'll get over that. I'll get
over that one year at six. Gary Trent Junior, I'm
cool with that.
Speaker 3 (01:35:34):
Yeah, you know, because I see people it's not necessarily
about if a player is better than another player, because
Gary Trent is not going to get the usage necessarily
or even the minutes to probably prove if he's better
than Milik Beasley.
Speaker 4 (01:35:45):
That's the thing.
Speaker 3 (01:35:46):
And when Milik Bezy's in this is the reason why
we call it the attempts and we call it the
fact that he's hitting out of a higher clip, is
because he's able to in bench minutes go out there
and do things that some people with starter minutes cannot do.
I think we're underestimating just a little bit of what
Beezy actually did. Again with bench minutes, he was doing
things that starters could not do. He was going out
(01:36:06):
there and you take take a lot of your best
three point shooters in the league percentage wise, and you
started to look at the totals and you realize this
dude's had more minutes to have.
Speaker 4 (01:36:14):
How many you shot four hundred less threes than Beasley?
That to me is pretty insane. So I'm just I
don't know, man, it's it's it's insane.
Speaker 3 (01:36:23):
Look now, the Pistons have to if they're gonna move forward.
This is where these become the next best meals on
the menu. You know, hey, you guys ran out.
Speaker 4 (01:36:32):
Of my favorite topic.
Speaker 3 (01:36:34):
All right, then I'll go and I'll say these things
can definitely fill the void. But to see some of
the Pistons fans out there that are really believing that,
you know, they're going to fix this thing by just
bringing in one of these rumored players, I think you
gotta go out there and actually find a way to
get a couple.
Speaker 6 (01:36:48):
Yeah, I mean, if you asked me right now, just
and again, this was never the ideal off season. But
if it starts with I mean, there's a gambling and
an investigation. I don't want to hear anybody clutch their
pearls over me saying like the league Beasley can go
Elie Beasley goes and obviously we don't know about Shrewder
(01:37:08):
or Tim Hardaway Junior. But a couple of your additions
are Gary Trent Junior and Santiel Dama, Nikhil Alexander Walker
although he'll cost more, and Santiel Dama. Even Duncan Robinson
and Santiel Dama.
Speaker 3 (01:37:20):
I talked about mister Mo Wagner, but you gotta worry
about you gotta. But that's to me, doesn't even in
factor into the two plays you have to I'm just
taking the flyer anyway, and we have three plays. Would
take a flyer, AM, bring them home. Hey, go over
to U of M Health. They're right in the backyard.
They'll make sure that you're taken care of. I think
that they they I think that they got some familiarity
(01:37:42):
with you over there.
Speaker 4 (01:37:42):
I would absolutely on just a flyer, let's see what
we got here, I would do something like yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:37:47):
And just for uh, for more context on Duncan Robinson,
because I haven't really brought him up individually. Duncan Robinson's
obviously been dead eye at many points throughout his career.
He's had some down seasons, but last year on catch
and Shoot three he was thirty nine percent on four
attempts per game, which actually he could probably stand to
get that up a little bit, and I think he will.
But the thing that I love about Duncan Robinson, and
(01:38:10):
no it's not that he's in Michigan alum, although I
love that too. Duncan Robinson for his career forty percent
on playoff three point shooting on five attempts per game,
including the run in twenty twenty three when the Heat
made the finals forty four percent from behind the arc.
And this is a team that moving forward. I'm not
(01:38:32):
saying the regular season is a formality because the Pistons
haven't gotten to that point yet, but I need more
players who are proven playoff performers. And Duncan Robinson the
Miami Heat, even though Jimmy Butler gets a lion's share
of the credit for that, they do not make the
finals without Duncan Robinson's heroics. I need somebody who's going
to raise their game up come playoff.
Speaker 3 (01:38:54):
Time, definitely, because that's where that's the crux and where
the Pistons are at.
Speaker 4 (01:38:59):
They want serious seasons, no more cute seasons.
Speaker 3 (01:39:01):
They've done this from far too long to be a
squad that just continues to stay in that middle place.
Speaker 4 (01:39:07):
That's what Atlanta Hawks did. That's why we are able to.
Speaker 3 (01:39:09):
Call their demise. Rod and I have called their demise
the last two or three seasons. And it's amazing now
that this is a team he has to cover down
in Atlanta. Shout to Rod Beard, formerly Detroited Rob Beard,
now Atlanta General Constitution Rod Beard.
Speaker 6 (01:39:23):
Okay, hey, I love them, though, Hey, I mean, what's great.
Though it's just a couple of years ago, we wouldn't
The state of Atlanta sports is infinitely worse than Detroit
sports right now. Who would have thought that just a
few years ago, when in twenty twenty one the Braves
won the World Series and the Hawks made the Eastern
Conference Finals. Who would have known? Who could have foreseen
(01:39:43):
that it was just gonna go all downhill from there?
So Rod Beard, happy that you got that opportunity. But yeah, hey,
I know you're rooting for Detroit Sports from afar. But
I know some of your co workers are probably having
a lot of miserable days, because shoot, I would be
having more miserable days. I've had a lot of miserable
days talking about the Red Wings for example, you know,
(01:40:04):
it just.
Speaker 14 (01:40:04):
Is what it is.
Speaker 3 (01:40:05):
That was one of the most soberinging things for me.
It was when Rod was like, Man, I'm happy for you.
I was sitting in a suite at the playoff game, right.
Eric Vinson was there of clutch points, Kooker Hill was
there of locked on pistons, and Forbes. Matt Easton was
there for Forbes. And I feel his hand on my shoulder.
(01:40:25):
I'm like, it's toutching, just like I turn around and
it's Rob Man. He flew in from Atlanta and he
said I had to be here for your first playoff game.
Speaker 6 (01:40:33):
And it was just like do what a guy?
Speaker 3 (01:40:34):
Hey like, shout out to him, man, And he went
around and talked to other people. Sean Murphy from Half
Court was there that night, and he talked to all
of the young dogs that are trying to find.
Speaker 4 (01:40:42):
Their way in this thing. That's who he is.
Speaker 3 (01:40:43):
That's why you know we used to do the drum
rolls and he was here at Detroit News. And while
we still are grateful that we get to keep that
connection with him, man, but I do get to ask
you this, yeah, because you do you present some good
things here and I'm glad that we're on lockstep as related.
So they need a couple of these players. What's the
colm before you because they were even obviously you know
there was interest. That doesn't mean to gonna sound up.
(01:41:05):
This is even interest in Karis la Vert rumored interest.
Speaker 6 (01:41:08):
The perfect combo and I'll be honest, the NBA cap and.
Speaker 4 (01:41:13):
Everything that you can do with it is Trenton Aldama.
Speaker 6 (01:41:17):
For me, it's it's almost uncomprehensible to like the average person,
just how much you could do with it. I Nikkeile,
Alexander Walker in Santi al Dama. That's my again, if
you told me that was their off season, with all
that's happening with a Beasley before it, I would have
been a little bit underwhelmed. But as it continues to
play out, if they're able to add Nikkeil, Alexander Walker
(01:41:38):
and Santi al Dama through whatever means al damas I
mean al Dama's not a free agent Alexander Walker is,
that would be my most perfect of the scenarios we
presented just a couple of minutes ago.
Speaker 3 (01:41:51):
Oh my goodness, I'm seeing us some other names in here,
like just sell the farm for Jonathan kuminga get rid
of fun tech Yo. Who, Yeah, he's on the he's
on the trade block And I saw JB he was
cutting up yesterday.
Speaker 7 (01:42:01):
Bro, It's not my fault, you said, trade block him?
Speaker 14 (01:42:04):
Like what trade market for fun Techyo?
Speaker 4 (01:42:07):
Like?
Speaker 7 (01:42:07):
What are we getting back in to turn a new
concession stand worker?
Speaker 5 (01:42:10):
Not much?
Speaker 6 (01:42:11):
But there are actually, believe it or not, there are
teams that I think would value Simone Fontechio more than
we think that they would. If you're a tanking team
that just needs a minute's eater, if you're let's just
say the Boston Celtics that need an eleventh or twelfth man,
Simone fan Techyo has some value. We're not gonna get much.
(01:42:32):
But it's not he's not viewed as like.
Speaker 4 (01:42:35):
He's an contract that might be his best value to
another team.
Speaker 6 (01:42:38):
Yeah, so he'll get something, just it won't move the needle.
And I'd be happy to uh I, I'd personally be
okay seeing him go.
Speaker 3 (01:42:46):
And you'r does your off season plan does that also
include them bringing back then a shooter?
Speaker 4 (01:42:52):
Because mine does.
Speaker 6 (01:42:53):
I would love to have his bird, I would and
that's key. Yeah, yeah, and shout out Eric Minion. I
know his his name is different than that we're used
to it. He brought in a super chat. Shouldn't the
Pistons focus on beyond? Shouldn't the focus Pistons focus beyond
Dennis Shooter right now? I don't know if you mean
(01:43:14):
bringing him or not bringing him in, but I'd be
cool with it.
Speaker 3 (01:43:20):
I wonder if, and it's just me speculating, Marcus Sasser
is gonna play a big role in I think what
they do for a guy like his shooter. I think
Shreoter knows he can go out there and get multiple years. Yeah,
but when Sasser played at the end of the season,
and I heard this from some people around the way,
been in the meet room ben A Rounds and Pistons
(01:43:40):
people lately that you know what they actually they took
that promising stretch a lot more seriously than maybe even
fans recognized.
Speaker 4 (01:43:50):
Sasser played really really well down that truck.
Speaker 6 (01:43:52):
It's Marcus Cesser ceiling Dennis Shreoter maybe, And that's you have.
Speaker 3 (01:43:56):
To ask the question. Because he can shoot the lights
out of the ball. I don't believe he's a defender.
He's a better shooter, so there's gonna be given takes.
Speaker 6 (01:44:04):
That's the thing people don't realize because obviously Dennis Schuer
hit that massive shot in Game two of the a
playoff series. Dennis Shooter is not a great shooter. He's
been a inconsistent shooter throughout his career, and that's up
putting it nicely, not terrible. Can obviously hit some big threes,
but he's no uh, Malik Beasley or Tim Hardaway Junior
or even like Gary Trent, Duncan Robinson, Niki Alexander Walker.
(01:44:27):
He's more inconsistent than they are.
Speaker 3 (01:44:29):
Man contract, here's a hell of a drug man talk
about the contract here Bump Freddy's guys like that was
absolutely insane, and.
Speaker 4 (01:44:35):
Uh, you know, just to kind of talk about what
the offseason might look like, I.
Speaker 3 (01:44:40):
Guess it looks more likely that a guy like a
Tim Hartway Junior's returns. Honestly, you can't have, in my opinion,
an exodus of all of your vets except for Tobias
Hairs and Tim.
Speaker 4 (01:44:51):
That would be crazy.
Speaker 6 (01:44:51):
And Tim Hardaway Junior he's another one that didn't perform
quite up to his level in the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (01:44:58):
But like Malik, he had a hard Away game.
Speaker 6 (01:45:02):
Yeah we did. And we talk about Malik Beasley being
a high volume, efficient movement three point shooter. Tim Hardaway
Junior was had probably higher volume than even like the
Gary Trends of the world did last year. So he's
got value on this team and he's six to six.
Speaker 3 (01:45:18):
Couple things here before we get to everybody's favorite segment.
No trade market for Lebron v ESPN numerous teams to
Bobby Marks.
Speaker 4 (01:45:25):
They wouldn't be willing to give up multiple players for
the future Hall of Famer.
Speaker 6 (01:45:29):
Hey, bring, bring, depends on who you are. Lebron could
put some teams over the top.
Speaker 4 (01:45:34):
You Bringron and BRONI here we give them by Tobias Somethinechio. Yes,
obviously I know money don't.
Speaker 6 (01:45:42):
Even work, but I know it doesn't work. That's why
I'm saying yes. No.
Speaker 3 (01:45:46):
I actually liked this one here because of what it implies.
Why six thirteen I volunteered to fight Flannel Sam to
become the alpha white on Woodward, and I'm glad that
he chips the captain being the alpha White on Woodward.
Speaker 6 (01:45:58):
Oh my goodness, all right, you need the only whitefault.
I guess I am on this show at let justin
justin but uh.
Speaker 4 (01:46:08):
Oh man, So now this is a.
Speaker 5 (01:46:14):
That was fun.
Speaker 4 (01:46:15):
Shut out.
Speaker 3 (01:46:16):
Now this has been a good one, and I ain't
even mean to get that riled up earlier on the
on the beasy stuff.
Speaker 9 (01:46:20):
It was.
Speaker 3 (01:46:21):
That's why I said, I want to make sure it's
focus more on that, because even me at first it
was like, Man, this due point of the gun at somebody.
You look at the details, You're like, ah, this guy's getting.
Speaker 4 (01:46:29):
One of those types of raps.
Speaker 3 (01:46:31):
But that's why I also wanted to make sure we
coom bay out and we broke bread appropriately because before
the show we agreed and I still have that agreeance
that the knucklehead aspect of it. I just don't know
how much you want that in your recipe right now.
Speaker 4 (01:46:45):
I and y'all know me. I like Malik Beasley. I
like who he showed himself to be this year.
Speaker 3 (01:46:50):
I like how you put Detroit or you know, effectively
and started to really really really put on his chest
and wear it probably and really really holding on his roots.
Speaker 4 (01:46:58):
I liked what he did during the regular season one
and more the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (01:47:00):
But this is a situation where even me, I'm still
gonna wait until all the charges before we cast any
judgment on him. But even me right now, somebody who
was literally just drinking the kool ai last week is
like it's time to just move on.
Speaker 6 (01:47:15):
Yeah, And and I know I didn't articulate this probably
as well as I could have. The thing that bothered
me the most was the playoff collapse and the talking
ish about Kat and then doing nothing to back it up.
While Kat actually did play well as I figured he would,
all that other stuff just I'm obviously very against adultery
(01:47:36):
as well, because I think, even though I know some
athletes do it so that they have like somebody at
home that's like their comfort, you shouldn't get married if
you're gonna go live the rockstar NBA lifestyle.
Speaker 3 (01:47:48):
Hold on, Terrell le Mon, don't list it evil on us.
Do not Lebron gonna go to the land when he's retiring.
Speaker 4 (01:47:53):
No, I've already seen that.
Speaker 3 (01:47:56):
I've seen people talking about he gonna go to Cleveland.
Get the freak out the don't you had your fun? Golly,
you ended the four going to work Pistons.
Speaker 4 (01:48:05):
Oh hate you for that. Even though I know that
you're the.
Speaker 3 (01:48:07):
Most skilled basketball player of all time, I will forever
hate you for that problem.
Speaker 4 (01:48:11):
Do not come back to the Central.
Speaker 6 (01:48:12):
I don't want it because I think Lebron on the
Cavs would be I think they'd be favorite. We don't
want that, dude, Like and.
Speaker 4 (01:48:23):
Ed can tell you us, you're right, it is all
this is out of our controls. It's gonna be interesting.
Speaker 6 (01:48:28):
Oh yeah, and and I here's what I think. And
I think this is something we can coombay over. I
do think when it's all said and done, that even
if it's not what we all wanted as our first
choice going in, that we're gonna look back at this
offseason and say that Trajan Langdon, with circumstances that are
tough to navigate, just like he did last year, navigated
(01:48:49):
it pretty well. I've got faith in him. Man, second
consecutive offseason, he's put in just a really tough spot
where he's gonna feel rushed. But he succeeded last year.
He'll do it again.
Speaker 3 (01:48:59):
This yes true, reacting like it's gonna be more difficult
for him this year than last. Last year, you had
to improve a fourteen win team for be like oh
Okay College, all the vets replaced, literally all the vets.
I do believe that he has eye for this and
that room around him. I'm gonna continue to tip the
cap to them. He got some dogs in that front.
Speaker 6 (01:49:17):
Office, Sure does so.
Speaker 4 (01:49:19):
Michael Blackstone, Hey, who do we gotta say?
Speaker 5 (01:49:21):
What up to? JB.
Speaker 4 (01:49:22):
Smooth?
Speaker 7 (01:49:23):
Oh we got Lady James, Loom and filment guys.
Speaker 3 (01:49:27):

old or forty you know, we called a lazy dog position.
So we're getting that going and make sure our back
would be good. So that case we give our power
thrust in a very low positions, we make sure our
knee pass if we get because car.
Speaker 3 (01:53:39):
Burn, we might need infomercials by him, just random a
infomercials that we play coming out of certain breaks.
Speaker 4 (01:53:45):
Bro oh man, that's why our.
Speaker 12 (01:53:49):
Backs, you know we get Oh, we like in our forties.
Speaker 2 (01:53:52):
Yeah, ain't hit our forties.
Speaker 4 (01:53:54):
I hit my forties.
Speaker 12 (01:53:54):
We didn't like it used to be from that case,
we got to keep our back lower back position, in
our power thrust, in our A game quality done. So
that case, I make sure y'all game our A game
will be tight, so that case we'll get ready for it. Ah,
we don't have no backgrounds after this quit two minutes.

Speaker 14 (01:54:21):
Can we get there?
Speaker 13 (01:54:22):
Shout out to Willy Be from breaking that down, because,
like I said, I didn't know what exercise that was,
so shout out to you, Willie. Guys, it's summertime, so
you know everyone is out and about on the boat
in the water celebrating. Sometimes you might be out at
a see the point as well too, as you'll find
out by this.
Speaker 14 (01:54:37):

Speaker 14 (01:54:51):
Full o, Yeah, don't draw the dragster.

Speaker 17 (01:55:04):

any other time. It's like it's the time of day.
Speaker 4 (01:55:12):
Yeah, that is absolutely wild.
Speaker 3 (01:55:15):
I wonder if anybody tried to warner, or if anyone
even knew you would happen to thing like a worker
like hey, hey not there. That's I don't even know
what I would do. Like, she looked like a freaking bumper, bro,
Yeah what she got?
Speaker 4 (01:55:28):
What kind of.
Speaker 6 (01:55:31):
What kind OF's having?
Speaker 20 (01:55:33):
Man?
Speaker 9 (01:55:33):
Look at that face like that.
Speaker 6 (01:55:36):
I don't want that time a.
Speaker 12 (01:55:40):
Futures we talked about somebody else my bad.
Speaker 17 (01:55:44):
Yeah, it's like it's like when you're driving down the
road really and you like get a bunch of insects
that like smash on your windshield. That's like kind of
what we're talking about. But her face was the windshield.
Speaker 14 (01:55:56):
Anything to do with what you were just talking about.
Speaker 6 (01:55:59):
That's all the freak his face, Man, she got pimples
on her face.
Speaker 4 (01:56:02):
I thought she got so you know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (01:56:06):
I act think I like him not being able to
hear these videos. It's like, interpret what you see, Lily B.
Speaker 4 (01:56:14):
Yeah, I see interpret. I didn't hear him.
Speaker 3 (01:56:16):
But Urbanized Believe is the last guy that was on
the exercise. He said that dude was hitting the light button. No,
that makes sense, satisfying light, but that that makes.
Speaker 14 (01:56:26):
A lot more sense.
Speaker 13 (01:56:27):
And finally, my last video for you guys right now,
shout out to all the ladies out there who used
to be cheerleaders, the moms who used to be cheerleaders
right now, but just know you cheered in high school.
Speaker 14 (01:56:38):
You should probably leave that alone.
Speaker 7 (01:56:44):
Oh what, oh I know, it's just like I feel
like it hurts more.
Speaker 5 (01:56:56):
It was full commitment to what am I doing.
Speaker 4 (01:56:58):
Instantly, bro, like, oh my god, oh my god, that hurts.
Speaker 5 (01:57:04):
Dog.
Speaker 3 (01:57:05):
The way the dog runs over get you better friends,
because the dog is the only one who who even
helped her.
Speaker 4 (01:57:11):
Getting closer to her.
Speaker 3 (01:57:13):
Dogs are the best, Like you would think, oh, let's
run over to our friend. No, I'm just gonna stand
for my far Just god, I got, I got, I
got goodness.
Speaker 13 (01:57:21):
Gracious, the dog was the only one that checked on her,
which is very true, very true. But that's it for
what's training today, you guys.
Speaker 4 (01:57:29):
Mail.
Speaker 3 (01:57:31):
That's always shout out to JB. Smooth do a great
job with what's trending every single time. That's why it's
everybody's favorite. Going out and smash thattight butter for JB.
Smooth and the work that he does, not just with
what's trending. But that's why he's Wolver' suppts, MVP man producer,
Extreme does a lot beyond the scenes.
Speaker 4 (01:57:45):
So let's get in here. Do we have any more
friends to say? What up though to? Before we get
into this? Mailbak Hey, dope, let me see here, shod
I see his mail back question. Let me see here?
Speaker 3 (01:58:00):
I saw one earlier from the Yeah Randall small fell
in bell bag. If the Tigers only at a starter
and a reliever?
Speaker 4 (01:58:10):
Are you good with that?
Speaker 9 (01:58:11):
So?
Speaker 4 (01:58:12):
No help?
Speaker 5 (01:58:12):
By the wait?
Speaker 4 (01:58:14):
So no bats is what he means, right? Just a
starting pitcher in a reliever Rando.
Speaker 6 (01:58:20):
I would love to answer this right now, but I'm
thinking of making that a topic maybe tomorrow, because I
think this could. I think this could carry a whole
discussion because you might be onto something.
Speaker 3 (01:58:31):
I'll just say that, you know what, I can't I
actually can't wait for that one man, especially with what
we see these bats continue to do.
Speaker 4 (01:58:36):
Urb Nash.
Speaker 3 (01:58:39):
Sam outside of Green, who should be everyday players on
the Tigers, every.
Speaker 6 (01:58:43):
Day players Riley Green, Wait a minute, I know what
you're doing I know what you're doing, the AJ Hingch
carrying a bum roster narrative. Well, Glabor Torres is an
All Star. You guys think that Hobby by It is
an All Star, And he might be. I mean I
think when that happen. Yeah, of course, and AJ Hinch
(01:59:07):
had nothing to do with him being the worst everyday
player in the sport the last three years. But that's fine,
that's fine, absolutely nothing, You fucking idiots. Please, I mean,
Dylan Dingler's an everyday player. I mean, if you want
to say that Carry Carpenter is not because he's more platoon.
Speaker 17 (01:59:28):
I mean, is the one who told Hobby to sit
down and go get that hip replaced? The one that
sat down and said get your hip replaced.
Speaker 6 (01:59:36):
And he wouldn't have done it without Hinch. I'm sure.
I'm sure give him ninety nine point nine percent of
the credit being very disrespectful to players in scott eris.
That's fine, that's I see.
Speaker 5 (01:59:48):
We love.
Speaker 6 (01:59:50):
But you guys are delusional.
Speaker 3 (01:59:53):
Put him with Gunny film mL bag JB speak on
the Night of Champions.
Speaker 13 (02:00:00):
Oh yeah, WW had Night of Champions out in Saudi Arabia.
So it was one pm start time, so you got
early afternoon wrestling.
Speaker 14 (02:00:11):
It was a good show.
Speaker 13 (02:00:12):
I know they were having issues the night before with
like connection and everything like that, but it seemed to
go off pretty smooth for Night of Champions. You're gonna
eventually get Sena versus Cody once again, probably at Summer Slam.
Hopefully you get that he'll turn from Cody.
Speaker 7 (02:00:27):
You don't know just yet.
Speaker 13 (02:00:28):
It was nice to see Jay win Queen of the Ring,
so shout out to her once again. She's got a
lot to live up to. And the hold up to
the main event with the seam punkin Sena nostalgia purposes
kind of did his thing. But other than that, the
interferences just added way too much for what the match
was going on, and it was a little too much
(02:00:50):
for me. But still it was a decent outing decent match.
Raw tonight will be at six pm, so instead of
your eight pm standard that you will be uh watching it.
Speaker 14 (02:01:00):
It's a new time for raw.
Speaker 3 (02:01:02):
Does WWE do they also participate in like the watch
or the playback type apps whatever to watch along?
Speaker 13 (02:01:09):
Yeah, yeah, so I know you sometimes can watch along
here and there at certain spots or might set you
creators as well too.
Speaker 14 (02:01:17):
They do it as well.
Speaker 3 (02:01:18):
We might set you up to that so that the
people can watch along with JB get your analysis in
real time.
Speaker 4 (02:01:23):
I think that would be really, really dope. There's a
couple more here, Jay Hart, You're gonna be hearing back
from me this week.
Speaker 5 (02:01:28):
Brother.
Speaker 4 (02:01:29):
What does anyone think about the.
Speaker 3 (02:01:30):
Pistons kicking the can on Grace and Allen who the
Sons have made available thoughts?
Speaker 4 (02:01:36):
Honestly, yes, yes, yes, yes he when you hear Terry
Foster talk about the a holes that we.
Speaker 3 (02:01:42):
Need, absolutely I hate him because of the fact that
I would love him if he was on our team.
He's absolutely that pest, that pesky guy. And I believe
if with a guy with a coach like JB. Bickerstaff,
I think you get even a little bit more of them.
Speaker 6 (02:01:56):
His free his three point percentage for his career, forty
one point four five attaps for his career.
Speaker 4 (02:02:03):
We got breaking news, you guys, what's going on?
Speaker 6 (02:02:06):
Well?
Speaker 13 (02:02:07):
I mean not in Lions, Tigers World or anything like that,
but shout out to Mari Sankofa breaking the w NBA
is returning to Detroit in twenty twenty nine. WHOA get
a brand new headquarters practice facility and play at LCA
Detroit played a key role in the league's early growth,
(02:02:28):
and we're.
Speaker 7 (02:02:28):
Proud to reunite that legras.
Speaker 3 (02:02:31):
Y'all on unba if y'all on going ahead and start
posting those old shot clips.
Speaker 4 (02:02:38):
Man, this is crazy, man, this is wild. This is
good news.
Speaker 3 (02:02:42):
We talk about, honestly a squad that one while they
were here, and there were a lot of people who
supported them, never sad when they were gone, and we
saw the ground swallow, support from both the fans, local
business community, and people who have been here for a
long time, including people like Sheila and her mom like that,
to see Golf and Kristen, to see a lot of
(02:03:03):
different people step up and say we want to make
this happen. We want to see this happen in Detroit.
I don't know quite who this or what the ownership
group is in this instance, or if it's that same
ownership group who made that push, but if so, this
thing is is being is being brought to back to
Detroit by a lot of good people who care about
this city seeing winning sports. So I'm ecstatic about this.
(02:03:25):
I am very very e static about this. I love
the shock whenever we hear.
Speaker 4 (02:03:28):
The first time.
Speaker 3 (02:03:29):
Man, you know what, I'm gonna clip up our our
interview with tweety Bird with no Danna Nolan. I don't
think we ever even played it, Jess tomorrow, so we
gonna celebrate this a little bit.
Speaker 6 (02:03:39):
Hey, shout out to the Detroit Shock and a shod
because you super chatted. I will read it. Aj Hinch,
save the Tigers franchise. And further, let me be clear
about something. I think AJ Hinch is an excellent manager.
I would prefer him over probably anybody in the league. Obviously,
the Tigers have had some doozies late, Brad Austmas online one. Obviously,
(02:04:02):
I understand what that's like. I just think there's a
bit of a when you're giving too much credit to Hinch.
I think you're taking too much away from Scott Harris
and the players because the players still have to play.
And I've given a ton of credit for a J. Hinch,
The way he had to manage the bullpen, particularly last
year during pitching chaos, the way that he like carry
carpenter mashes against righties, so when a lefty starter comes up,
(02:04:27):
usually sits Kerry Carper in favor of somebody else. But
the fact that carry Carpenter mashes against righties the way
he does is a luxury that aj Hinch gets to
take advantage of and use in the best ways.
Speaker 7 (02:04:39):
So a J.
Speaker 6 (02:04:39):
Hinch great manager, deserves a ton of the credit. The
people talking ninety nine percent and I love you, I
love with you.
Speaker 4 (02:04:44):
You're one hundred percent right.
Speaker 3 (02:04:46):
These players are executing, and it is always for a
manager or coach to put those people in their best
position to succeed, and not just that, to support them
even when when you believe.
Speaker 4 (02:04:55):
They're not reaching the level. And I believe that a J.
Speaker 3 (02:04:58):
Hinch he does his masterfully, whether it's putting them in
the best spots extra and o's, or just being a
good dude to them to see more of their interactions
as a team and manager of the coach, it was like, Yo,
aj Hinch is a really really cool dude.
Speaker 4 (02:05:11):
Sure, and we all know, like.
Speaker 3 (02:05:13):
Doing the playoffs or doing the stretch of games where
he coined, you know, hey, who let the Tigers get
hot in that swept and you saw his team responded
to him. It's like, you know what, that's what you
want out of your guy. I don't even know what
percentage you put, whether it's one or whether it's ninety nine.
I don't even know if with coaches like him, there's
a percentage to put. Man, it's just he is aj Hinch,
just like with the other three, Dan Campbell and JB.
Speaker 4 (02:05:36):
Bickerstaff.
Speaker 3 (02:05:36):
What we know about these coaches is as long as
you got those guys, you're gonna see growth, You're gonna
see development, You're gonna see wins, You're gonna see these
teams do things historic.
Speaker 4 (02:05:46):
What the Lions did was historic.
Speaker 3 (02:05:47):
What they're going from what they were historically to winning
the division for the first time. What we see the
Tigers doing right now, nobody expected this and their best
team in all the baseball even Epistols historically leap only
team in NBA history to go from fourteen to the playoffs,
fourteen wins to the playoffs. So I like the fact
that we got these coaches that can put the players
who execute in the right right spot. And the reason
(02:06:10):
why I don't even know what percentage to put is
because how much percentage do you put on Dan Campbell
and that you think about the dropped past players execute,
they make the differences, and that's the thing.
Speaker 6 (02:06:21):
There's nobody in here that would give Dan Campbell like
for some reason, I just think there's this narrative that
the Lions are supremely talented and the Tigers are kind
of more ragtag, and I completely disagree.
Speaker 4 (02:06:32):
Like I here a lot, let's say they are, but
I'm done. I'm done.
Speaker 6 (02:06:36):
Do you want me to level with you guys?
Speaker 2 (02:06:39):
Do that please?
Speaker 6 (02:06:39):
I think the Tigers should probably have five or six
All Stars. I also think aj Hinch should be Manager
of the Year. I think Riley Green should be top
five in MVP. I think Scott Harris had a what's
looking back in retrospect and a off season, and Schooble
should repeat as the cy Young Winner if you want
(02:07:00):
to like contextualize it like that in a way to
where I think credit should be divvied. That's about what
I think. And then you have to obviously give some
room for the guys who aren't All Stars but had
great contributions. Like if if Dingler, Torque or McKinstry your
hobby doesn't make it, they're still gonna be known as
guys who contributed heavily to this team. It's a top
(02:07:22):
down maybe besides Chris, I don't know how we feel
about him, but from Scott Harris down maybe even Chris,
I'm not gonna slander Chris.
Speaker 5 (02:07:29):
Now.
Speaker 6 (02:07:30):
A great organization a turned into a great organization pretty
damn quickly too, from when it wasn't a great organization.
Shout out Scott Harris and.
Speaker 3 (02:07:39):
FLV though, dang, shout out to this man. I just
got the email from hiss PR of the announcement everything.
Speaker 4 (02:07:45):
So the shot shout out.
Speaker 3 (02:07:47):
Man shout out, I've seen a new logo as well,
So he shout out to them, man, I like this.
Speaker 4 (02:07:54):
I like this. I like this a lot.
Speaker 3 (02:07:56):
I don't know what the team name will be or
if the current owner of the team named Detroit Shot,
we'll give that up.
Speaker 4 (02:08:02):
I think it's even more appropriate.
Speaker 3 (02:08:04):
I'm gonna move to get him here because he's actually
started what he's hoping to become the g League of
the w n B A right here in Detroit, and
they got other cities and other states involved as well.
He's the current holder of the team name Detroit Shot.
When the NBA lapsed, he went in and he bought
it because he thought that that's a name that should
stay right here in Detroit. So it'd be interesting to
(02:08:26):
see what happens on the way ahead, and h this
is dope. This is definitely gonna get autocoonomy. Hey see
this is dope, man.
Speaker 4 (02:08:35):
Anything else in the chat I think, I think that's
a show. Hey, that is a show. Who we will
break this one down, no backball style and still got
a wait, get in the can. There it goes, Hey,
we go. Shout out man to the chat, Shout out
to the w cruise. Shout out to that dude Justin
(02:08:57):
making himself available.
Speaker 3 (02:08:59):
I know he's settle, brightness pops today man, And it's
nothing better than family, especially when they're supporting you. I
know this family does a lot for him, and Justin
endeavors will do a lot for the people around him.
So shout out to you brother, enjoy.
Speaker 4 (02:09:10):

Speaker 2 (02:09:34):

Speaker 17 (02:09:35):
