understand that, but that seems to me and maybe I'm

missing something a steal for No adopsin And I understand
No Adopson is not a perfect player. I think my
one knock on him is that he's been a little inconsistent.
Like his year before twenty twenty three twenty twenty four,
he had one hundred and eighty blocks and seventy points,
which is absolutely insane numbers when it comes to being

a defenseman. He had a really good year in a
twenty one to twenty two as well, but the to
twenty two to twenty three and last year were a
little bit down, But if you put Noah Doobson on
this Red Wings team, he would probably either pair with
Cider or be an extreme upgrade on the second pairing

as well. So if you told me right now that
Steve Eiserman made this deal happen, I would be happy.

Justin I I personally I love this deal. I think
it's great. And you were actually referring to twenty twenty
two to twenty twenty three when he hit his down
year the year before last. This year he had seventy
points and that was the year he had seventy points ye,
and the reason for that is because the Islanders peak
power play went from being the third best in the
NHL to being the second worst in the NHL. So

He still managed last year to have an eighty two
percent projected war He is very good offensively. He has
a lot of skill. He's got a wicked one timer.
He is a righty, but he can play left ee
and I love that. When it comes in terms of
who I want to try to pair most Sider with,
I want to try to pair most Cider with a

offensive defenseman that still can be play some defense, but
it's not. It takes the pressure off most sider to
be any type of offensive defenseman.

He can play what.

He is good at. He's supposed to be a lockdown defenseman.
And that's what I'm trying to do with this move,
is Noah Dobson will come in and he will be
that guy who is baking those transitional plays getting the
puck out, and that's what this team lacks. And this
is not a wallman or a gostas Fair who also
sucks at defense. Dobson is also a very solid defender.

And so when you're talking about a top pair where
if you were to sign Dobson he's an RFA and
free agency, you would still be an offer sheets, so
you'd still be giving up two first round picks, most
likely for the contract that you would be signing him to.
And that's why you're giving up Danielson in a first rounder.
But I'd rather give up Danielsen than an actual first

rounder because that you get rid of conference contract. And
that's where this all kind of ties all together, is
getting rid of conference contract and giving you more space
to do more. And like, if you get rid of
conference contract, that is five million extra dollars that could
go to another d another forward that can actually help
this team. And that's what I really want. I want

to be. We all know they are four or five
players away. They're two top six forwards, two d It
is one top four d and a goalie away from
being at legit contenders in the NHL.

So funny you should mention that because the thing that
Steve Eiserman mentioned when he first got on the job
is build him.

He hasn't done that, but it's one thing that said
that the Wings defense stinks.

The Wings defense makes horrible decisions in their zone and
all of a sudden they turned the puck over and
now they're scrambling to try to recover. If you can
bring this guy in and reduce then the Wings defense
is gonna be a lot better if you reduce the turnovers.

I think that's what kills them.

Yeah, and this is someone who would one hundred percent
help that, And it would take a lot of pressure
off most sider because most cider will be able to
just not make those mental lapses in the defensive zone.
He'll be able to focus on his defense because last
year with Tirot, he had to be the transitional defenseman
on top of the lockdown defenseman, and it's a hard
role to do. And Dobson is a guy who needs

an anchor. He's a guy who needs a defensive anchor
as an offensive defenseman, someone who he can trust know
that he's going to be back there to support him
if he goes on the rush and goes and tries
to make a play. And that's what this team needs.
We need the five on five scoring from the defensive
position to help us create goals and stop goals. So
this would be a perfect ad for me. I think

that Dobson brings a ton and he's also six four
to two hundred pounds. He doesn't add to the issues
of this team is small. He actually helps them be
Like me, that is a huge d pair to deal
with if you're dealing with Cider and and Dobson. Cider
is six', Three dobson is six to, four both to.
