Speaker 1 (00:16):
Hello, and welcome back. There was the podcast exclusively for
those who believe they're in the core where your house
is always I'm.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Nick and I'm lost, and I'm Andrews and Nick give
it to Mester Man Man Bill, We're in the core.
It's it's a great Phillipsy more often line.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Every watched Twister.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Is an inspiration. I talked about Twisters, yes, because were
you cleaning? Yes, it's a great cleaning movie.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
It is a great cleaning movie.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Uh. Yeah, that and Twisters I think are great. Like
if you if you have to clean your house for
like four hours, like just have Twister and then Twisters.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Back to play, you know.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Like you'll get done in no time and you won't
even you You'll just say, man, I watched two movies today.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Yeah, and you will remember them even though you weren't
really watching them, you will remember them.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
I mean, r E. P. Bill Paxson, What happened.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
Is good?

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Rabbit is wise.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
It just reminded me of just some of those joke
like whatever like Bobby moynihan, whatever happened to Michael Jackson?
And uh and then who else did he bring up?
Did he bring up Bill Cosby on very important. Yes,
I can't remember all the comedians you brought up.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Yes, he brought up Bill Cosby as all what happened?

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Sorry, whenever you whenever I mentioned Bill Paxson being gone
from this earth, I mean ri ip, I love him.
I also said what happened? Yeah, I responded to my
like I reacted to my own comments.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Yes, how you bad?

Speaker 2 (02:15):
I'm good. I did the murph yesterday on Memorial Day.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
So that's uh. For those who don't know, that's uh.
You run a mile, you do one hundred pull ups, Yes,
three hundred squats.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Two, Yeah, three hundred squats, but two hundred push ups
and push up then another mile. I can't do pull ups,
so take mine with a grain of salt. I did
one hundred lat pull downs. Now you might not think
that's like, that's the same, but I was struggling by
fifty like sure, that's what killed me. Was sure was

(02:50):
the lat pull downs like I can do, Like I
do one hundred push ups a night before I get
in the shower, and I can.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
I can, hund wasn't that bad? Then?

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Two hundred's not bad? I but doing the lat pull
down I should have just done my push ups first,
just because I like, that's a natural motion for me now,
But I should have done that, but I cycled them.
I went like lat push up and push up spots,
and I should have just knocked out my strength first.

(03:23):
But man, lat pulldowns killed me.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
My first mile was eight minutes, like flat, and then
and then my second mile was eleven minutes.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
So yeah, that makes sense, that makes sense.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Yeah, I was so dead on that little mile, running
on fumes, but I was god, like, you know, the
workouts bad when you're like, God, I can't wait to
get to this mile.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Yeah, I can't wait to run, which.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
I like, I enjoy running.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
We both of us enjoy running, so so that's not
that bad.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
But yeah, but this this mile was particularly bad.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Sure, sure, but I didn't I'm sure.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
I'm sure. After three hundred squats, the mile was just great.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
What are you talking about?

Speaker 2 (04:06):
I did it in fifty one minutes.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
It's not bad. That's not bad.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
I wanted to get under an hour, so that's awesome. Uh.
Strangely enough, the only thing that's uh that sore is
my biceps, and I think that's just because the lap
pull because yeah, at most I've maybe done like fifty
during a workout, maybe fifty or sixty, but I've never
done one hundred while also doing multiple other things other things. Yeah,

(04:34):
but I enjoyed it. I did it at like five
fifty at night, right after eating like a steak dinner. Sweet,
So it was like the best best conditions possible.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Yeah, oh, obviously you've planned well.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Well, no, I wanted to go do it. And then
by the time I was like, I was in my
room most of the day just because like my sister
and I both had day off, so I got to
let her watch in the living room and I was
just watching in my room, and I was like, at
one point I just got up and started stretching. I
was like, all right, I just like because I thought
there was a workout associated with Memorial Day, and like,

(05:14):
it took me a while to get like on Twitter
and see somebody post about their time, and I was like, oh, yeah,
you can do that today. So I was like, I mean, technically,
you could do it any day you want. Yeah. So
I was like, you know, all those things sound fun.
I do all those things pretty regularly, and so I
just I went out to go do it and my

(05:34):
sister was just finishing dinner, so I was like, oh, well,
fuck it. I guess my plan has been set off
by an hour and a half because I have to
let myself get ready. But no, I did. It was
it was fun. How are you.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
I'm doing great. I'm on my week of work right now,
but light at the end of the tunnel. Saturday, I
only work six days this week is Saturday. We are
driving down to Memphis to fly out for Disney World
for seven days. In Disney World, so super excited to
take the whole crew down there. Got some really cool

(06:20):
things lined up for everybody to do something special for everybody.
So it'll be a good time. It better be, because I,
in the words of the Tiger King, I'm never going
to financially recover from this.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
You know what. Like I look back on the one
and that my dad took us on when I was
like fourteen, which unfortunately it was like the worst possible
age for me to go, but it was a great
age for like my sisters to go. They were like
sixteen and seventeen and they still really like I was
just a moody team. But I I remember we went

(07:02):
for four days. We went a day a park, uh,
and I look back on that trip like very fondly.
It was a like a really good memory for me.
So I think even if like it's a you have
a family of five total, so you're there's gonna be
some drama and you just have Yeah, you just have

(07:24):
to like work through it because honestly, whenever, my god,
whenever you get to it, it's gonna be just a
really great memory. Sure, even if it like doesn't seem
like one for for a particular person, it's gonna come
down to.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
It being a really great memory in the future. So
now' super excited about it. We have park opper passes
and we have uh, four days in the parks, and
then we're gonna do a couple of days in like
the ESPN area and the water parks and the pools
and whatnot. So we'll try not to overextend ourselves. But
the days that we are in the parks, there's something

(08:03):
specific in each park that we're doing special, So it
should be a really good time.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Don't count out rest.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
Yeah, that's going to be important.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
Yeah, because somebody is going to get exhausted. Oh, it's
going to be an inconvenient time. Oh yeah, just unfortunately,
just one of you guys are going to have to
sacrifice some fun.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
We'll probably have to sell a child, which you know happens.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Especially in Florida. Yeah, I can't wait. Yeah, I'm excited
for you. Like I said, my family did it when
I was in high school, I did. My favorite thing
was we got to see like the muppet like area,
which I'm not sure if it is still there, but.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
I'm not sure. To be honest with you, I don't.
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
It was that was my favorite area. And then I
really enjoyed Epcot more than any any other part.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
Yeah. We've got a big hot day planned.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
So yeah, I really enjoyed that one.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
I plan on drinking around the world, you know, getting
just super sauce with the kids. You know, it's got
some roller coasters so they recognize you. Yeah, exactly. My
dad's the really drunk one in the mickey ears.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
You're gonna have to be more specific, the one in
the cardinal's shirt. Okay, there's that brings us down to
three people.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
He's the one holding the key blade.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
Okay, okay, we got it.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
We got him just running around with a couple.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Of key blades, sunscreen too. Yeah, sunscreen is going to
be very important because.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
You the necessities Mickey ears sunscreen and a couple of
key blades. So you know, the people really know who
the true Key of Hearts fan is at the park.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
Bring me back an notthkeeper.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
You got it? You got it? Seriously, if they have
them for sale there, I would, I will would thousand
percent buy what for each of us?

Speaker 2 (10:07):
Deal? Nick? Hey, Okay, I obviously I want to get
into the new releases for this past week. One has
technically been out a week, but it came out to
my theater this week. I saw Leelo and Stitch. I
saw Mission Impossible, the Final Reckoning, and I saw Friendship

(10:29):
and I also went to AWDL war Nothing. I definitely
got sick. I was in large spaces for for four days.
I believe you have one of the Biffitas now, sir,
there's zero percent chance that I don't have something. So
but okay, Nick, I want to talk about Friendship because

(10:52):
I know you're gonna want to talk about them that
the most. It's it's kind of perfectly Tim Robinson. It's
like and you know how like you wouldn't like give
like Detroit Ters like you wouldn't give like that a
ten out of ten, even though like the comedy is
there and it's so yeah, it's still it's not like

(11:12):
a ten out of ten show.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
It's like a solid seven and a half eight.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
I'll give it like an eight. That's the same thing
with Friendship. This movie has so many funny moments that
are completely generated by Tim uh And and Jack Dylan
Grazer Glazer is in this movie as well, and he
he gives you the first like head nod in the

(11:38):
movie because you're gonna be like, for me, I'm I'm
over analyzing the movie the entire time. And luckily I'm
in there with like a crowded theater, so everybody else
is laughing and like it kind of like that's the
best part about this movie. It's gonna be better understood
with a crowd.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
So.

Speaker 2 (11:59):
Because you become kind of like one organism, especially for Friendship,
especially for Tim Robinson stuff. So I can't wait for
you to see this. It's it's really really some of
the best Tim Robinson stuff you're going to see. Great,
great supporting cast. Kate Marra and Paul Rudd are really great.

(12:21):
But it's just everything's generated by Tim. So it's just
if you're a big Tim Robinson fan, I can't wait
for you to see it. This movie was really really good,
so okay, and then Mission Impossible the Final Reckoning Man
first hour to an hour and a half hot garbage.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
Oh no, no, no no.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
I still give it like an eight out of ten
because the last the last hour of the movie is
the most exhilarating hour of movie you'll ever watch. It's insane.
It completely makes up for just a really really bad
script in the first hour an hour and a half
a regular length movie, it's pretty pretty bad. And then

(13:06):
the last hour is so good. So I can't wait
for you to see it.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
It's I've been so, I'm I'm I just finished my
rewatch of the Mission Impossible movies, like I just finished.
I don't I don't even know what to call it.
I guess it's just Last Reckoning since they changed the
it's last Reconding part or Dead Reconding Part one, it's
it's it's it's just dead reckoning Now. So I just
finished that.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
Good movie, Hale, Well, great.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
Let's hear seven films. But because this is.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
The eighth, I believe, I believe, so yeah, Out of.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
The seven that I watched, I would say the good
majority of them are fantastic.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
They have scripts, two being.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
The most John Wu film that John Wu has ever wooed.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
I didn't watch all of it. My sister was watching
it when I was at work.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
And so many dubs.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
That's a movie, so.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
Many dubs and whatever. You get two people driving motorcycles
at each other and then jumping off of them and
like meeting and flying around.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
Like do Gray Scott right?

Speaker 1 (14:23):
Yeah, it's a John Wu film. I don't know if
I can consider it a mission impossible film. Like we
start and Tom Cruise is free soloing a freaking cliff
and when he gets to the top, he puts on
a pair of sunglasses and he gives him his mission,
and he just throws them and they have this weird
exploding effect, like that's how the movie starts.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
I wish I could remember Ben Stiller's stunt double name
for Tom Cruise.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
I love the fact that they have a good relationship too.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
But like the majority of them, do have great scripts
associated with them. They have good plot twists. I will
say that by time I got to Dead Reckoning, I
kind of started seeing cracks in the armor of the
Mission Impossible franchise, because even though Dead Reckoning was a

(15:19):
fine film, it just all the because like they worked
so hard to keep it grounded in the first or
like the first one and the third one, and then
it just kept trying to have the top itself after that.
So like Ghosts, Protocol, Rogue Nation, Fallout, you know, it's

(15:39):
just one up, one up, one up, and at some
point you're at the peak and there's no way to
get over the top.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
It's kind of to speedman. It's he's kind of took
speedmand it. Yeah, it's it's become a real like, yeah,
it's it's not far fetch for a movie from the
early two thousands to become kind of reality. But the
thing is that the most of the movies, they're completely
stunt driven. They're those those those giant set piece driven movies.

(16:09):
That's what's drawing you to the theater, especially to see
those stunts on the big screen, which is really important
because man, and I'll get to it. They're like, there's
one scene that's underwater in this movie that like it's
so good and so fun funny too, like in ironic ways,

(16:32):
just because you're like, if you think.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
God, mission impossible.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
Uh uh, I've been the last Like I'm not kidding.
The last half hour is so good. It's so exhilarating
because there's obviously like it's a it's a mission impossible movie,

(16:57):
so like you're you're dealing with multiple teams have to
come like be very synchronized, and like there's zero margin
for error. It's so good, Like you couldn't ask for
a better action movie. The last hour of this movie
is like I'd put it up there almost with like

(17:17):
Terminator two man. Yeah, it's so good.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
So it's basically two separate movies, is what it sounds like.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
No, it's it's they deserve to be the same movie.
Oh okay, Okay, it deserves to be the same movie.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
Okay, do we at least get a solid Tom Cruise
run scene because I feel like that that has to
like that's a hallmark, that's part of that's part of
the first hour hour and a half.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
And it's not like it's not it's not the stuff
that's happening, it's it's the story in the in the acting.
It just all seems like they're working off something a
script that doesn't exist. Uh, that they're just trying to
get like, Okay, we have to get from this stunt
to this one. What are all the steps? And can

(18:05):
we figure out dialogue on the way to to to
the stage.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
Does somebody have a pin and pad so we can
write so we.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
Can jop this down real quick. I'm sorry if I'm
coming off harsh. It's just how I felt because whenever,
like you, you don't even realize when the turn happens,
whenever it starts becoming a great movie. But it happens
and it becomes a truly great movie, and then Lelo

(18:35):
and Stitch I liked it out. You're you're definitely seeing
that in theater. I'm sure, so I'm not gonna go
into that. It's very cute, The Little Girl perfect.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
I mean, are we talking like just a shot for
shot remake of the animated movie or are there are.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
There are multiple scenes that are shot for shot and
that's fine, it's just uh, it's a first some scenes,
it's literally like it's literally seen for scene for scene
and then it finally becomes its own movie.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
Would you say that this is one of the better
live action disneys that's come from a A animated classic.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
I'd say top five, okay, but keep in mind my
list is going to be drastically different than most people's
because snow White's probably like one or two. Sure, uh,
and I stand by that it's probably two because we're
not counting Corilla, but it's probably two. Would count Corrella

(19:37):
if Corella is if you would count Corella.

Speaker 1 (19:40):
Corella is definitely up there for me. But I don't
do the one to count it because it's not It's
not like we're not getting one hundred and one Dalmatians.
Ye're getting up prequel movie.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
Structurally perfect movie for me. Yeah, I love everything about
that movie.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
Yes, and Rocks it.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
Like it's it's it's a lot of Emma, but it's
also it's the fashion in the movie. It's like fashion.
I mean even the even photography.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
The cursory characters are fantastic in it.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
The makeup, it's it's genuinely just one of my I
love its great. I need to rewatch that movie.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
It's perfect. So yeah, Leelan Stitch would be a recommend
from you.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
Yeah, I like it. It's I'm not like enthusiastic about it,
but Keven, like I, I'm not as ent like, I
I'm more of a cynic than I think most people
than I should be. I'm trying to be less of
a one again because I've I'm becoming like a movie
snob again, and I'm trying not to be. I'm trying
to just enjoy everything. But uh, this, I'm not like

(20:49):
overly enthusiastic about it, but I would watch it again.
So okay, all right, Nick, this is what I wanted
to tell you that I watched the first time, which
I'm sure you had just assumed I had seen you
had seen it. It's a movie I believe from nineteen
seventy eight, if I'm not mistaken, maybe nineteen seventy six,

(21:16):
directed by Richard Donner.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
You finally watched it.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
I watched Superman the Movie for the first time nineteen
seventy eight, Superman the movie that was right first time. Yeah,
I really really enjoyed it. I like how like there's
not really any conflict for like the first hour and
fifty minutes, and it's just a really well built story,

(21:41):
like origin story, and they do like they spend like
the first hour and ten minutes before you even get
to what's his name, Christopher Reeve? Yeah, and it's a
really really well made movie, I'm telling you.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
But it is well structured, it is well acted, It
takes itself just seriously enough. And you know, from an
effects standpoint alone, they had to create so many different
things to make you believe a man could fly.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
The thing in that movie is so brilliant, so good.
How have we not replicated that kind of flying sense?
I mean, it's a lot of work.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
It's a lot of it has to be, yeah, I
mean so they they even when they had him on
the wires to fly, they had basically a post in
like up under the cape on his back that was
connected to him, that had animatronic like tendrils on.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
The back of it for the for the cape to
have the air motion. Technically, he mostly was never on wires.
He was mostly he was still yes, well the around him,
and it was so well done. A couple of thoughts though,

(23:10):
the girl who was slapped.

Speaker 4 (23:12):
Yes, okay, I we need to talk about We need
to talk about this little girl outside cat and a tree.

Speaker 2 (23:24):
Superman comes by, saves the cat, gives.

Speaker 1 (23:27):
It to the little girl. The little girl runs in
her house and you hear her mother yell at her
and lying to her and then you hear.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
It's what is what? I had no notes for this
movie until that happened, So that's like an hour and
a half into the movie. Had zero Two things, I uh,

(24:04):
two things that I want to bring up about it.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
One, this movie actually helped in comic book crafting. Later
on they would pull from this as his quote unquote
origin story as reference. So like when they restarted in
the eighties with what was called Man of Steel, that

(24:31):
his first like quote unquote heroic act was saving Lois
and the helicopter when it was falling from the building,
which they pulled directly from seventy eighth down her film.
But the other thing that I would say is it
captures that how you make Clark and Superman two very

(24:56):
wildly different characters with just simple ticks, like they're the
scene when Clark is thinking about telling Lois who he is,
and like, Lois goes out into the kitchen and he
stands up straight, and he takes off his glasses and

(25:17):
his voice drops into this beautiful bear tone voice, and
then as she's coming back in, he's like, oh shit, no,
I can't tell her, puts back on the glasses and
then just slumps over a little bit and his voice
goes back up into that higher register. It's just really cool,
Like nobody would think Clark is Superman because Clark is
a bumbling fool who. Yeah, maybe he's six' five if

(25:41):
he's not slump slumped, over because he's more like six,'
two because he just sits there and crouches over and
his voice doesn't sound, the same like it's not just.
The GLASSES and i just think that's really Cool Seeing
christopher reeve do that just on The. F, yeah, yeah
uh and you see it in so many other.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
Scenes too my favorite THING was i thought she was wearing. Lead,
PANTIES uh i. DIDN'T notice i didn't notice that she
had gone behind.

Speaker 1 (26:13):
A planet i Had The, iron planter, SO whatever.

Speaker 2 (26:18):
I, have trouble uh seeing, Through lead AND so i was, just,
like wait is she wearing like?

Speaker 1 (26:24):
Lead pants she was wearing a. Chastity, belt uh what
the what?

Speaker 2 (26:30):
The hell?

Speaker 1 (26:30):
Talk about like the biggest unforced Air. In herodom He
tells lois that he can't see. Through lead she puts
it in the paper so that later on in, The
movie let's figures out that he can't see or knows
that he can't see, through lead so he puts the
giant fucking Rock of persadite in the.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
Lead box it's it's really it's a very well. Structured
Movie uh, and HONESTLY like, i, WAS like i was, very,
like hey news and news. To Everybody gene hackman, really good.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
Really good.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
He's completely believable in. The movie, ONE second i one of,
MY actually i think my favorite scene in the entire
movie was. The interview, oh yeah which because you see
You See christopher reeve hamming up as most as much
as he can because he's trying to be as charming

(27:26):
as possible in, that moment and.

Speaker 1 (27:30):
When he lands on the side of. Her, building yeah
and just you See that, superman outlook you know where
he's just kind of. Standing there that that's just a really.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
COOL moment i, will, SAY though I think i say that.
A lot he's a bit Of a clark is a
bit of a gaslighter because oh, absolutely whatever he shows
up like at her door after Leaving a superman and
he just like he he obviously knows and he just
makes her feel guilty awful. About it, come, On man,

(28:02):
LIKE yeah i wrote in, My notes clark has a
bit of, a gaslighter?

Speaker 1 (28:06):
Isn't, he yeah it.

Speaker 2 (28:08):
Is.

Speaker 1 (28:08):
Is uh what did you think about the beginning With
the kryptonians when they Were, On, krypton like what was
your thoughts? On that BECAUSE that i thought it was very.
VERY different i thought it was.

Speaker 2 (28:20):
VERY creative, i thought, you know they.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
Had to create a special way of filming that so.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
That it was the material it was they were specific
material and they would be able to shine a light.
On it whenever it would show up on, on film
it would light up. That way so it was, a
practical completely. Practical effect it's, just uh just, good engineering
good like that's, what like, you know engineer imagineers. And stuff. That's,

(28:48):
what yeah. They do they come up to the that's,
their job solutions.

Speaker 1 (28:52):
To things part of The Reason gene hackman uh said
yes to the film was because he always wanted Work
With marlon brando Did not they were never on, set
together did not share a. Single scene.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
SO cool i thought the suit. Was perfect it's made
of a, great material. GREAT neckline i think that neckline really.
Sells it the cape was layered especially closer to his
his his traps uh And he christopher also had just
a great frame.

Speaker 1 (29:27):
For, it yeah it's just it's it's comics accurate and,
looks good which is something very. Difficult nowadays like you
see In The Marvel cinematic universe some of some of,
those costumes like The Original captain america Costume. From avengers

(29:49):
oh it looks it doesn't age, pretty terrible does not.
Age well this Thing. Is overeah this is a timeless
suit that like If if Dave corn sweat was, wearing
it like a pseudo updated version, Of.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
IT yeah i was, GONNA say i think.

Speaker 1 (30:04):
They, COULD yeah i think you could pull.

Speaker 2 (30:07):
It, OFF yeah i. LOVED it i think my favorite,
moment actually like moment in The Movie Not just Seen
is whenever spoiler is from nineteen, seventy Eight when lows
dies and it gives you that moment of kind of
silence where it's. True grief it's just LIKE just i

(30:29):
believe it kind of pulls up away from him a
little bit there and it just kind of gives you
that moment too for. That loss obviously he takes, it
back he's able to, reverse it but that little bit
of silence is great. Audio, engineering yeah that's that's. Great
EDITING so i just wanted to point. THAT out i

(30:51):
think that's probably the best moment of.

Speaker 1 (30:53):
THE movie i think we would be remiss not to
mention the Fact That john will knocks it out of.
The park.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
You're Wrong the. SUPERMAN theme i have that vinyl STILL
whenever i. COME home i got that the vinyl. For
you i've listened to. It before. It's good it's.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
Like that that's a Superhero theme. Man that if that
doesn't get, you, pumped. Yeah Listen it's it's no surprise
that this is one of my favorite movies of. All
time it will always be one of my favorite movies of.
ALL time i think. It's, timeless uh the way they
they shot, the movie the way the effects, were made you.

(31:37):
Know it there are some things that look a, little
outdated don't get. Me, wrong yeah but just the look
of the film is something.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
Very timeless it spends a decent amount of time in, that.

Speaker 1 (31:49):
Newsroom, which, like yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:51):
So good it shot like the obviously like the seventies
newsroom movies that were accustomed to where All The President's
man network stuff, Like, that yeah where everything has kind
of been modeled after that since for the, most, part
obviously times. Have change but if you're doing like a.
Period piece this would now be a. Period, piece yes

(32:11):
you would have that great. Open, NEWSROOM yeah i think was.

Speaker 1 (32:17):
It what movie?

Speaker 2 (32:20):
Was it was it? This? Movie, no, no okay one
Thing About. Mission impossible they have like a, situation room
but they also have this like giant hangar that is the. Situation,
room yeah and there are just so many just giant
tables after, Giant table like there's it has to be
like ten by, like Twenty and, i'm like what are

(32:41):
they doing with all? Those tables there's just so. Many
tables you could do so much more work with somewhere
like not having All, these sorry it was A BIG
like i. SAW that i was, just like that's so many. Big.

Speaker 1 (32:53):
Tables yeah so you're talking about your favorite moment in.
This movie mine Is the wanner in the. News. Room
yeah It follows Clark and Jimmy and Lois and perry
and like it's, so bustling and at one point you
See like Perry asked jimmy to get him a coffee And, then,

(33:16):
Jimmy well jimmy asks one of the interns to get
the coffee and then you see the intern come back at,
one point and it all Ends with clark just by
himself next to, the elevator and, it's like, holy shit
they did that in. One shot like it's just a,
really cool.

Speaker 2 (33:35):
Good. Choreography MAN so.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
I again. No surprise this is just up there with
with one of my favorite movies of. ALL time i
watched it for the. FIRST time, i mean this movie
was made on a budget, back then which was one
of the most expensive film films made to that point
of fifty five. Million. Dollars uh and it grossed at

(34:01):
the global box office over three hundred. Million dollars it
was considered a. Massive hit it's In the Library of
congress And The National film Registry for preservation as one
of The quintessential. American films Won Some academy awards or,
excuse me it was nominated For Numerous, academy awards did

(34:26):
not win any.

Speaker 2 (34:26):
Of them it at least should have Got or superman, The,
movie yeah it should have at least gotten original score.

Speaker 1 (34:35):
AS all, i say.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
That's original type. Of joke Yeah For matt damon, or
something Multiple time, Oscar Loser. Matt Damon, Matt, Damon yes
And Then matt damon would come out and say one
Time Winner.

Speaker 1 (34:53):
Midnight, Express Yeah midnight Express Won Best Music original score
that year Instead. Of superman so that's what. It is
i'm so happy that you still.

Speaker 2 (35:05):
Talk About The Men not. Express, Soundtrack, sure nick you
told me you watched honestly one of the best like mockument.
Not documentaries but, IT'S yeah i guess it's. A, mockumentary uh.
Like perfect how do you? Describe, it uh the musical?

(35:26):
Comedy Whatever uh.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
Dewey, cos yes so it's.

Speaker 2 (35:31):
So funny went on a little trip.

Speaker 1 (35:33):
THIS weekend i went on a little trip, this weekend
and for, some reason out, of nowhere we were Just
Quoting dewey cocks the entire. Damn time it was just
moment by moment it was you don't, Want, this dewey and,
it's uh it must be the most expensive drug on.

(35:53):
The planet it. Is cheap is the cheapest drug. There,
IS well i don't want to get addicted. To it you?

Speaker 2 (36:00):
Cannot, perform, yeah uh well it makes sex?

Speaker 1 (36:05):
Even better.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
Is gonna make me want to? Have sex it makes sex? Even,
better yeah it's a like you get A Great tim
meadows performance out. Of that uh It it's i'm Thank
god John c riley got to do. This movie because this,
is like like it's him as the star of. A

(36:29):
comedy he also gets to do his style. Of music
uh and he gets to be just like he goes
a little off the walls every once in a while in.
This movie, but literally this movie just kind of shows
off his true comedic musical talent mh and and the
talent of of people he puts. Around him, but, man like.

Speaker 1 (36:52):
It was incredibly nice to see him not having to
play second Fiddle To. Will ferrell let's just be. Real
Honest When.

Speaker 2 (36:59):
Jazz, white plays Is it? Elvis right He plays? Elvis?
Right yeah when he like Almost Chops dewey cox, right,
there Man, uh like it's one of my. Favorite cameos and,
in like in, this movie there's so many, great cameos
like Obviously Like jack Black And paul Rudd And justin

(37:21):
long and who Else, Franz Is buddy Holly And jason
schwartzman Or.

Speaker 1 (37:26):
The beatles jack mcbraer Is a DJIT is, dj Like
It's cal gazondo is in It As Dewey. Cox junior.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
It's it's it's a gem of a movie just because
like everybody kills it And.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
It's ed helms is. IN there i don't know if
you Said that martin stars.

Speaker 2 (37:49):
In there but they Go, through yeah they go through
so many different eras of like, popular music and it's.

Speaker 1 (37:57):
Like it's fifty sixty.

Speaker 2 (37:59):
SEVENTY eighties i feel like this movie also was PROBABLY
like i, don't know this movie is like a reference
that uses so. MANY references i was, GONNA say i
wonder if once upon a Time in hollywood use this.

Speaker 1 (38:11):
As reference because there are certain parts that.

Speaker 2 (38:14):
Makes sense, and god it's just so like whenever he
gets into like his like drug era after dealing With
the beatles and and oh, my god it's so like
because he crashes out so hard like and it's a

(38:34):
it's a different vibe than what you Get With.

Speaker 1 (38:36):
World farrell That that beatles scene though maybe one of
my favorite scenes in.

Speaker 2 (38:42):
The movie and then the fact that he can't smell
is part of his. Entire story can't you? Smell? THAT no,
I can't.

Speaker 1 (38:53):
I can't.

Speaker 2 (38:56):
It's a it's one of the. Perfect movies but like
it's like It's A tim MEADOWS like i always like it's,
that scene that's the scene that everybody pulls from. That
movie Tim tim meadows IS the mvp of this film without.
A DOUBT and i just Watched pop star and he's
he kind of only he's only has a time Ever.
Stop stopping he only has a tiny role in the in,

(39:19):
the movie but he still kind of gives off that
same vibe because he was Part Of Tony, tony tony
but he was back when They Were Tony Tony Tony. Tony,
TONY yes i forgot about that because. He's perfect but
that movie is so perfect and. So dumb, it's like

(39:41):
it's so Dumb.

Speaker 1 (39:42):
Pop Star, never Stop. Never. Stopping uh jorma's really good.
In it keep was really good. In it We Get
maya Rudolph And, Sarah Silverman, tim meadows don't worry.

Speaker 2 (39:54):
About it you were only up there for like. Ten
seconds ten seconds is, His.

Speaker 1 (39:57):
Eternity harry it's a third of the Way.

Speaker 2 (39:59):
To mars we've talked about this thirty Seconds to marsh's
of the band not, a fact. Yeah uh And Then.
Meyer rudolph she's only LIKE one u, two scenes but
her name is like she's like their. Marketing manager and

(40:21):
there whenever you would open in any appliance in, Your
home Connor for real would play and she's they ARE
like i Told you deborah's. The best Actually. It's, Deborah, Oh,
deborah deborah what's the origin? ON it I believe deborah
uh Oh Maya root like she had like one major

(40:45):
scene in this movie and, she like it's a. Ten Out.

Speaker 1 (40:49):
My rudolph Always kills.

Speaker 2 (40:50):
IT'S love i wish she was in. IT more i wish.
She Was she's. Connor's mom. Uh yep but my favorite
part of this movie is not in. This movie it's
the music Video For. Mona, lisa yes the music video
for like the full stage Performance Of mona lisa is

(41:14):
one of the Funniest songs i've ever. Listened to it's it's.
Up there it's in my top Five Of lonely island.
Movie songs it's probably.

Speaker 1 (41:24):
Top, Three, yeah honestly the the amount of amazing cameos
in this film.

Speaker 2 (41:35):
Is.

Speaker 1 (41:36):
Just golden it does not get the respect that. It
Deserves Like bill hater is in there.

Speaker 2 (41:42):
When he talks.

Speaker 1 (41:43):
About flatlining.

Speaker 2 (41:44):
FLAT lining i got the idea From That joel schumacher Movie.
Flat liners it's where you stop your stop your heart
and you see what's beyond death and then you and then.
YOU'RE resuscitated i. Like Flatlining.

Speaker 1 (42:02):
Will Forte, justin timberlake but he's a, bagpipe Player justin timberlake.
Shows up he's.

Speaker 2 (42:12):
The, personal chef and he tries to sing in the
in the, green room and, they're, like yes. Quit Singing,
Jeff cook, Jeff Yeah.

Speaker 3 (42:25):
Will arnett ERIC andre, I, Think, barbiglia, Yeah okay freddy
ARE our, Cmz, reporters yeah.

Speaker 2 (42:34):
It's Ridiculous, Kevin.

Speaker 1 (42:35):
Neelan paul sheer both. Throw Up weird al's. In There
emma stone shows up as as one of the other like.
POP singers i don't even know if. We Know CLAUDIA
kentrell i think is.

Speaker 2 (42:50):
Her, Name yeah AND then i Also watched summer sixty
nine which just.

Speaker 1 (42:56):
CAME out i was Directed By.

Speaker 2 (42:57):
Gillian bell she Was In Workaholics love her she and
It Stars. Chloe FEYNEMAN and i can't remember if you
did you watch that, nineties show the at least the. First,
season yeah she was one of the kids in. That,
show yes her name Is. Sam marello. She was it's

(43:20):
just a it's a kind of a fun teen sex
comedy about what you think guys expectations are when you're in.
High School from it's obviously from the. Girl's perspective but
this girl is like she she's kind of, zones out
and she kind of has, like fans she kind of
HAS like. Jd fantasies but and she goes to a

(43:46):
a stirper because she. Her crush she's been told that
his like he wants to. Sixty nine. Oh god so
and she has no, sexual experience so she goes to
a stripper. For guidance who the Stripper is Chloe Five and. I'm,

(44:07):
Guessing yeah so it's just it's a fun story about.
About that, just uh and then like obviously there's, some
DRAMA but i think it's, really fun kind OF like r.
Rated COMEDY it's, r rated so it's it's has a
little bit of.

Speaker 1 (44:23):
Extra.

Speaker 2 (44:23):
Freedom UH and i, DON'T know i think it's, a
fun cute movie if You like Jillian bell.

Speaker 1 (44:30):
Is in it. As, WELL yeah i mean.

Speaker 2 (44:33):
The thing you really got to worry about Is Just
chloe Fineman and samarells and then maybe maybe the the
boy in. The movie, BUT yeah I Mean charlie days
is kind of like the villain of. The movie and,
then yeah it's just. Everything else you're just getting a
little bit of extra from from a couple. Of people
but it's a it's a. Small movie it's a. SMALL

(44:55):
movie i kind of wish it had like a a,
movie release but It's. On hulu So watch summer. SIXTY
nine i thought it. WAS fun i Do Enjoy.

Speaker 1 (45:06):
GILLIAN bell i think she's.

Speaker 2 (45:07):
Incredibly, funny yeah and then there's just a you don't
get a lot OF like r rated teen sex comedies
from the. GIRL'S perspective i think we got it From LIKE,
plan B which i believe is also Written By. NATALIE
morales I.

Speaker 1 (45:23):
LOVE natalie a.

Speaker 2 (45:24):
Big Fan Of, NATALIE morales a big fan. Of hers
my Dead. Friend zoe she's so great in.

Speaker 1 (45:28):
That movie she's great when she cameos and parks and rec.

Speaker 2 (45:32):
As, WELL yeah i just finished her portion on my
on my watch. Right now, All, Right, hey nick let's
get into SOME.

Speaker 1 (45:41):
Current tv what do you want to talk? About first?
WHAT us i want to talk a little bit About
The Pee wee. Herman documentary, oh, YEAH yeah i haven't.

Speaker 2 (45:53):
Watched it KIND.

Speaker 1 (45:54):
Of, tv, so uh it is. A documentary it's gonna
be a. Documentary series i've only watched the. First part
i'm actually not one hundred percent sure how many episodes
there are.

Speaker 2 (46:09):
IN it i think we're at.

Speaker 1 (46:11):
TWO now i haven't watched the, second part but it
just it's a Telling of paul rubins Life By. Paul
rubins both literally months before, he died he had been
we find out that he had been secretly hiding the
fact that he had been battling cancer for like. Six

(46:32):
years and he sat Down With, matt wolfe who is
the director and producer of, the documentary and like had
forty plus hours worth of interview, with him and it's
just his perspective about, his life his. Early life he

(46:58):
was he was, always different and his dad was this
crazy guy who was in Like The Army air corps
and then volunteered to go over to what is Now
called israel to Start The Israeli, air force and like
he had, a sister and like what his life was

(47:20):
like going to college and then getting Into the groundlings
and creating This Pee wee. Herman character and it's just
a really interesting perspective where this guy after his death
is able to just talk freely about himself and how

(47:40):
he was feeling at the time and just where his mind,
took him because he's just his mind is brilliant and
seeing how he created this character and how it became
this real thing is. Super interesting anybody who has ever

(48:00):
seen Anything Of Pee wee herman should. Watch this anybody
who's interested in comedy should. Watch this it's just a
fantastic take on this type. Of documentary and you could
tell that he wasn't taking himself too seriously during, it
either because he he jokes in his sarcasm and like

(48:23):
he doesn't pull. Any punches it's, Really GOOD so i
would one thousand percent recommend going and seeing or pulling
it up on that and. Watching it. You know the
the first episode gets into how They Created Peewee's, big
adventure which is a just a, fantastic film a seminal film.

Speaker 2 (48:47):
For, Me Yeah, TIM burton i was never A Big
Pee wee, HERMAN fan i WILL say. I did I
always i say that. A lot i did watch the
a documentary about the person who made all the puppets for.
HIS show i cannot remember who, did it but it

(49:09):
came out like over, ten years like almost ten, years
AGO which i always found. Really INTERESTING but i never
really got too Much Into pee Rehrban Or. Paul rubins
he did show up in a lot OF movies i,
really Enjoyed Like mystery men and stuff.

Speaker 1 (49:23):
Like that Buffy The vampire slayer never. Watched it, oh
man you're.

Speaker 2 (49:28):
Missing OUT but i listened to Him On MARK marin
i want, to say probably five or six or seven,
years ago and where he kind of told some of
these like more like vulnerable like stories about like growing
up and like he sent like a tape reel Of

(49:50):
Him singingalt disney trying to become like expecting like a
contract and he would just like wait by the mail
after he, sent it LIKE and i, don't know it's
just it's really. Interesting. GUY yeah i knew he was
a groundling, as well and worked a Lot With, cassandra

(50:11):
peterson who Is.

Speaker 1 (50:13):
Also elvira they were.

Speaker 2 (50:15):
REALLY close i do. Know, that, SO yeah i knew about.
THE documentary i hadn't really gone. TO it I mean i,
MIGHT now i didn't know it was it Was, multiple.

Speaker 1 (50:26):
Yeah it's part it's part one and. PART two i
just looked. It up it's there are about one hundred,
MINUTES apiece i want, to say really worth, It though
and obviously at some point they get into the scandals
of in ninety one and in two thousand, and two

(50:47):
he WAS arrested yea two, separate times the ninety one
arrest being he was arrested in a. Porn theater so
like talks about those in the, second part WHICH again
i have, not watched, but yeah it's it's it's definitely worth.

Speaker 2 (51:05):
A watch you want to get to more cheerful NEWS
with i would love with the Last?

Speaker 1 (51:09):
Of us, or yeah or or would you like to
actually get with more cheerful news with? The studio, let's
uh let's go with, the studio because we did get
the season finale Of the.

Speaker 2 (51:21):
Stooes move.

Speaker 1 (51:28):
It was.

Speaker 2 (51:29):
LIKE that i FEEL like, i said every, Single, episode
man this is my. Favorite, EPISODE yeah i loved especially
how they kind of started the episode with this one
where They See dave franco in the hallway and he
sets up the fact that he pissed Off these russians,
because yeah he was counting cards with his uh. Like
you first he recaps the episode as his coked up

(51:52):
self and then most most of them are still on
mushrooms at, this point and then, then Says thanks sense
for letting me, do this uh, and Uh and i'm
gonna go down to The god i'm. Butchering this i'm
gonna go down to the casino and and steal a
bunch of Money because i've learned all that stuff from those. Magician,

(52:12):
movies yeah gotta fucked all. THAT up i will get
rid of, all that uh and insert a, better version
maybe even. His. Version UH but i thought that was.
So funny and then wherever he comes back and does
not read the teleprompter but just gives this impromptu just
awesome speech where he just kind of turns it on

(52:35):
and then immediately gets off stage and asks for. An
ambulance what's? His Name brian cranson was so funny when
they would.

Speaker 1 (52:45):
They snuck Him in Weakened at bernie's style When they Weakened.

Speaker 2 (52:49):
At bernie's i've Never seen Weekend. To bernie's i'm.

Speaker 1 (52:53):
No, time.

Speaker 2 (52:54):
Out sir it's it's not it's.

Speaker 1 (52:58):
Not necessary watch see.

Speaker 2 (52:59):
It is it is.

Speaker 1 (53:01):
Absolutely necessary oh.

Speaker 2 (53:03):
My god, BUT no I love quinn because she like
they Finally got quinn to Watch A WEEKEND and I
think quinn's my. FAVORITE character i think she's my. Favorite,
character ALSO like i GOT like i posted something, about
her like my stories and stuff like about. The show

(53:24):
it was about, the whole like the. Licking, scene yes
and she liked it. And everything and then she posted
another story she's an ice hockey. State champion nobody talks.

Speaker 1 (53:35):
About delightful that's also.

Speaker 2 (53:38):
That's what she wants people to know, about her that
she was an ice hockey. State champion so there, You
Go chase, SUEY wonders i have. Acknowledged you you are my. Tribal, chief.

Speaker 1 (53:50):
NO but I.

Speaker 2 (53:50):
LOVE quinn i thought she was. Really funny she didn't
really have as much to do in, this episode but
like it was that whole we need to Weekend at,
bernie's him and then they get all excited because she
Watched the Weekend.

Speaker 3 (54:00):
At.

Speaker 2 (54:00):
Bernie's uh it was such a great Episode Because, zoe
kravitz whenever she got, up there it showed the Range of,
catherine O'Hara like how she could be, a fumbling like
like nervous person on stage just not knowing where to go,
to next and then as soon as the teleprompter, comes

(54:21):
on she's the most confident person in. The world she.

Speaker 1 (54:25):
Nails it, you see You see.

Speaker 2 (54:26):
Catherine O'Hare flip that switch immediately and show you how
damn good of an actor, she is and.

Speaker 1 (54:32):
Then and then immediately flipped the switch back to urinating.
Herself backstage.

Speaker 2 (54:41):
That. Was zoe That.

Speaker 1 (54:43):
Was zoe, Excuse, Me.

Speaker 2 (54:46):
Catherine she's not above. Pissing, herself sorry That Was. Zoey
kravitz very funny in, the episode. Very funny I'M not
i was now not Really A zoe kravitz person before
this show and didn't like. She totally she had no
like draw to me. At, all now big respect because she.

(55:07):
Killed it she, killed episodes, Three EPISODES so i.

Speaker 1 (55:13):
LOVE that i just Love that griffin is out of
it for the entirety of this episode.

Speaker 2 (55:19):
Until they give, him coke until they give him but
and then, you see like, YOU can i rewatched that
that scene because you JUST like i rewatched it while
everybody everybody else is talking and you Just See brian
cranston having to play overly drugged like the, entire time
and like him just kind of waiting to for the

(55:39):
moment and when they put the drugs underneath his nose
and then, he's Like because brian loves acting like he
was just having to be patient that whole time or
everything else was happening. Around, him uh It, was god it's. So,
FUNNY god i love. THE show i miss it already

(56:03):
because there would be an episode.

Speaker 1 (56:05):
Right now do we think that in the second Season
that amazon will actually Take? Over, continental no It's an,
APPLE show.

Speaker 2 (56:18):
I know i think the threat is, Enough, THERE okay
i think that's all it needs. To be it needs
to be a, continual threat maybe this. Upcoming year Not
Maybe ted sarandos threatens to buy it he already And
Then seth has says we had that moment At the
globes and stuff. Like, THAT yeah i. Don't know i'm

(56:42):
a big fan of. THE show i think it's it's
one of. THE structurally i think it's the best show
out there right now, because, like yeah it feels so,
bare bones but there's, so much so much.

Speaker 1 (56:57):
Going on in. Every scene every scene is most multiple things.

Speaker 2 (57:01):
Going on most of the show is, long takes which
can help save you money in the long run because
you're not having to reset or. Do anything but it
just takes a lot of prep and a lot of
like really great people working. On it you cannot fuck
around when working on because you're probably working at. Breakneck speed,

(57:21):
but THERE'S like, i said there's probably a ton of prep.
Before it but it's different than Shows Like the Last,
of us which is more big, set pieces but like it,
feels bigger the world. Feels bigger this is more. We're
following just these people were in the world.

Speaker 1 (57:38):
Of effect what why did why did they have To
put griffin on wires to bring him down to. THE
stage i, DON'T care i. DON'T care i.

Speaker 2 (57:48):
Love It peter pan around the stage at. The end
you Got To peter pan like it was just to.
Keep him, oh yeah that Was like catherine. O'Hara's idea,
THEY'RE like i got an. Idea something oh, that's right. That's,
right yeah.

Speaker 1 (58:04):
Just seeing him dancing on. The wires so it's just
worth the price. OF admission i can't.

Speaker 2 (58:10):
Wait For Like, Ike Barenholtz, Seth, Catherine Catherine, dwayne perkins Love,
YOU All, I her Oh, The Superior Franco zoe kravitz loved.

Speaker 1 (58:27):
You. All yeah. Great show really looking forward to. SEASON
two i foresee this being a SHOW that i just
rewatch constantly before the second season.

Speaker 2 (58:38):
Comes on this is gonna be like MY next i
think you, COULD leave i think you. SHOULD leave, I
yeah i had that on repeat for. A, while sure
this could be it just because it's it's a. Perfect show.

Speaker 1 (58:50):
It's also an.

Speaker 2 (58:50):
Easy watch it's very it can be, stressful though, that
movie that show can be.

Speaker 1 (58:55):
Very Stressful the Last of us was.

Speaker 2 (58:58):
VERY stressful.

Speaker 1 (59:01):
I, will say like when you're talking about, being stressful
like if we're. Looking back pretty much the entire Episode
Of the wonner.

Speaker 2 (59:09):
Was stress was like just stress on top.

Speaker 1 (59:13):
Of stress but it. Was good but it was a.

Speaker 2 (59:15):
GOOD stress i felt a lot of stress On the. Fundraiser,
EPISODE yes i felt a lot of stress on. THAT
one i think the funniest episode to ME was i
Think The olivia Wilde zach efron uh. Their one that
one had me laughing. So Much kool aid. WAS great

(59:38):
i mean The the Ice ice cube episode is.

Speaker 1 (59:42):
REALLY funny i was about to say my favorite Was
probably pasting episode seven when they're talking about we're replacing
the cast because Mister kool aid has to, be black
but would that? Be racist the real.

Speaker 2 (59:59):
They went a little well he told him what? Uh?
Okay uh but yeah the note the note with with
what's his Name With ron howard, was yes. So fun, but,
YEAH no i THINK my i did love the War
between quinn And. And ike, UH.

Speaker 1 (01:00:22):
YEAH i i have to say my.

Speaker 2 (01:00:24):
Favorite episode is Definitely The missing reel that makes that's
it's so funny.

Speaker 1 (01:00:31):
TO me i also Thoroughly Enjoy The. PEDIATRIC oncologist i
love that there's something about that, episode that uh probably
probably because There's A spike jones directed Satire Starring johnny
Knoxville And. JOSH hutchinson i don't know. That that just

(01:00:51):
See the apocalypse like it seems like perfect for, the
moment Is all i'm.

Speaker 2 (01:00:56):
GONNA say i, GET it i. Get It the Note
the note one was JUST like i felt like that
one was the, tightest episode even Though the winner is.
VERY tight i feel Like the Note with With With, Anthony,
Mackie Yeah anthony Mackie And, RON howard i think that
one is the tightest episode, just because like you really

(01:01:18):
feel the like each passing moment being very stressful Waiting
For ron howard to show up and for somebody to
give him the note to get rid of. The scene
catherine O'Hara With anthony mackie in just like a brief
moment is just so great where she just gets right in.
His face, BUT no i think my favorite episodes Of

(01:01:41):
the noir episode the. Missing, reel uh And then i'd
Probably say cinema con episode one just Because of quinn
and the. Drug party that god that.

Speaker 1 (01:01:51):
Killed. Me yeah, but yeah let's let's move on to
a little Bit of Last.

Speaker 2 (01:01:57):
Of us have you watched the?

Speaker 1 (01:01:58):
LAST episode I, HAVE okay.

Speaker 2 (01:02:02):
I am i wrong to? Say, UNDERWHELMED no i don't.

Speaker 1 (01:02:08):
THINK so i.

Speaker 2 (01:02:08):
WAS okay i feel like it. WAS short i feel
like this is not where you'd. LIKE end I mean
i felt like you got to that that scene at
the very end of this episode. REALLY Quickly, M.

Speaker 1 (01:02:21):
No i whole.

Speaker 2 (01:02:22):
HARDLY AGREE i i hated the loss of of what's
his name?

Speaker 1 (01:02:27):
The, kid yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:02:30):
That sucks obviously it had. To happen obviously.

Speaker 1 (01:02:35):
It DID and i mean, we knew we know we're
getting a, third season yeah that that. Was announced basically
season one was the LAST of us, part one like
the the. Video game season two and three will make

(01:02:56):
Up the Last Of us. PART two i know that sounds,
really weird but like we're we we ended on this
cliffhanger because we know that season three is going to
Be all. Abby's, perspective yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:03:10):
And that's Nothing, about abby that's nothing.

Speaker 1 (01:03:13):
Of, this yeah that's exactly what happens in the, game
BASICALLY SO i i understand why they. Did it, it
was for lack of a better way of. Putting it
it was very empire strikes back of them to do
it this way end on this cliffhanger where there's death

(01:03:34):
and you know a third. One's coming it, was good it. Wasn't,
great yeah? Does that does that?

Speaker 2 (01:03:42):
Make? SENSE yeah i, would agree because like there are
great moments in. The episode there are, great moments especially
the Scene with Dina and jesse wherever he's trying to remove.
The arrow that's a really, great scene really. Good scene
And then Jesse With bella ramsey also is a really
great scene where he kind of calls her out for
like who she is and how she's. Really selfish but

(01:04:06):
then they have another scene where, HE'S like, i know
you would burn down the ends of the earth to avenge,
Me too so he, understands her but just he is
thinking about the. Greater HOLE so, I mean i get
from his perspective it really sucks that we lost him
because he didn't. Deserve that, so YEAH but i look

(01:04:30):
forward to the. Next, Season Obviously isabelle ohmer said. Killed
It bella ramsey. Killed, It Yeah young mazino Who plays jesse.
Really great we just didn't get Enough Of jeffrey right
enough for. MY taste i was kind of hoping never
Get Enough.

Speaker 1 (01:04:47):
JEFFREY right, I Mean jeffrey wright's gonna play a huge
role in the. Third SEASON so, I mean.

Speaker 2 (01:04:53):
I, WILL say, I mean i, will say. Completely devastating
that scene with the girl It, With, mel yes. Completely
devastating obviously really.

Speaker 1 (01:05:09):
Hard.

Speaker 2 (01:05:09):
Watch MM but i thought the girl Who played mel really.
KILLED it I thought jana is like really Good she
that was a great scene From Her, Ariella BARRERA so
i wanted to give her a little bit of, louders
too because especially because the. Character's gone now sorry, all RIGHT,

(01:05:30):
NICK i i do you have any other thoughts on Less.

Speaker 1 (01:05:35):
OF us i hope that this episode doesn't sour people
on the experience of. This show the. Second season the
second season was always going to be different than. The,
FIRST like i think people get comfortable with shows and

(01:05:56):
they want the same thing because they want to relive
that watching of the first season over and. Over again
and like for those of us who have played these,
video games we understand that where the characters were in
the first video game is very different from where they
are even at the beginning of the second video game

(01:06:18):
and through the majority. OF it ad just know That like,
druckman especially has crafted a world that is is beautiful
and terrifying and has created these characters in a WAY

(01:06:40):
that i truly believe this the third season is going to. Pay,
off like stick, with it because the third season is
going to. Pay out second season. Was good there were
some some moments in this second SEASON that i would
put toe to toe with anything from the, first SEASON

(01:07:00):
and i think that the characters. WERE fantastic i think
that the changes that were made from the video game.
Were perfect, once again just stick, with it just, like, honestly,
like yes we ended on, a downer but oftentimes part
two of these three part things end on, a downer
so you get the high of highs in the, Third part,

(01:07:23):
so like just just stick.

Speaker 2 (01:07:25):
With It did Rick and morty PREMIERE what i think
it did two days? Ago, Eight yeah but before we get,
To THAT nick i. DID go i went to aw
aw double. Or NOTHING so i was there for the

(01:07:46):
Match called anarchy In, the arena which.

Speaker 1 (01:07:50):
Is this the bodies hit the. Floor match.

Speaker 2 (01:07:54):
It laid either five or, six TIMES and i texted.
TO you i, was like, YOU know i would. Take
it it's not unusual right about now if you Get the, Laney, reference.

Speaker 1 (01:08:08):
Yes six let the bodies hit. The floor one it's
not unusual and then back.

Speaker 2 (01:08:13):
To body you. Know what had somebody back in production
had any semblance, of comedy they would have switched it
up for just, a second just. A second. It was it.
Was fun it Was Like, kenny Omega, Swarst Rickland. POWERHOUSE

(01:08:33):
hobbs i WAS just i was happy To See. Schwartz
strickland he's one of. My Favorites claudio Castanolly And john
moxley were, also there and it was just like five
on five men and one woman against five men and
one woman in a match that just happened around the
entire arena like in the in, the, crowd uh in the,

(01:08:56):
parking lot in, the hobby in, THE, lobby uh in.
Catering uh and it was just it. Was chaos it,
was fun but it. WAS insane a lot of spots
with like staplers and uh and jumping off of a
fork lift and it was it. Was fun BUT then

(01:09:19):
i WOULD say i got To See tony. Storm wrestle.
It was it was not as like a.

Speaker 1 (01:09:25):
Great match it was just like it was a.

Speaker 2 (01:09:26):
Storytelling match was she in?

Speaker 1 (01:09:28):
Fact timeless she indeed.

Speaker 2 (01:09:30):
WAS timeless i will Say That Sasha. MERCEDES monette i
got to see.

Speaker 1 (01:09:35):
Wrestle again for, A second i thought you were Gonna
Say Sasha parri COHEN and i, was like he.

Speaker 2 (01:09:40):
WAS there i was, Gonna Say. Sasha Banks She's mercedes
Monette Faced.

Speaker 1 (01:09:45):
Jamie hayter that was a. GREAT match i got.

Speaker 2 (01:09:48):
To See Adam coleba. BAY again i haven't seen him.
IN years i. Love Him And kyle Riley And.

Speaker 1 (01:09:54):
Roderick. Strong uh and then the, last match there was
a bunch of.

Speaker 2 (01:09:58):
Other. Matches uh the last Match Was Hangman adam page
versus Will os prey and apparently and apparently it's like
match of. The year so.

Speaker 1 (01:10:09):
It was a.

Speaker 2 (01:10:09):
Good match it Was a it was a hell of a.
Good match it was those two. Just worked and let me,
Tell You adam page has a.

Speaker 1 (01:10:19):
Heavy right. Holy man that thing.

Speaker 2 (01:10:23):
Was like you could see the difference between him and
literally everybody else throughout. The night that dude has a.
Heavy right it was, a good. Good show definitely. Got,
sick yeah you have one of the.

Speaker 1 (01:10:37):
Beffit us NOW w w has been feah moving on
to W. W e we Had a saturday night. Main event.

Speaker 2 (01:10:46):
It's fun It, WAS okay i still need TO Watch.
Nxc battleground apparently that was the show.

Speaker 1 (01:10:52):
To watch Uh the saturday but let's try.

Speaker 2 (01:10:59):
That.

Speaker 1 (01:10:59):
Again Uh the saturday night main event that Occurred on
may twenty four had uh a tag MATCH that i
didn't give the. Crap about i'll be. Really honest It
Was american maid Create The. Creed brothers they won and
got to enter a triple Threat on raw against The

(01:11:21):
war Raiders And. New day we got To See seth
rollins And bron breaker versus Seeing Punkin. Sammy zain we
did get, the reveal yeah We we we did get
the reveal of.

Speaker 2 (01:11:34):
The Man yeah punk and so. Go man i'm surprised
he wasn't hurt from being from that first bumpy Took.
From burtus bronson reed that first bumpy Took, FROM bronson i, thought.

Speaker 1 (01:11:51):
Like are you talking about through the through the barrier
or are you talking about on?

Speaker 2 (01:11:56):
The apron on? The apron before before he, took this
he took another Hit. From bronson reid that looked Like
it torre's. Leg apart, But.

Speaker 1 (01:12:09):
Yeah bronson reid is now the third Member Of. BROLIN'S
corporation i guess we'll.

Speaker 2 (01:12:16):
CALL it i was hoping it was going To Be. Trick. Williams,
uh YEAH he's. Tna, champion yeah which, is interesting but
let's let's not talk ABOUT n, x.

Speaker 1 (01:12:26):
Year, right Yeah Because selena Vega Defeated, chelsea, green man
you KNOW what? I, like yeah it was like a five.
Minute match it. Was AWFUL h I Love, selena vega,
BUT man I wanted chelsea to win the belt. Back.
Again yeah the world's just a little bit Better With

(01:12:47):
chelsea green, wearing gold. Is all. I'll, say well we'll
get back to the fourth match of the NIGHT because
i want to talk a little bit about. That More
But Damian priest drew McIntyre steel. Cage Match Jesse jesse
vinturo was pissed.

Speaker 2 (01:13:05):
Just calling out the washing out. The door why are you?
Walking out you used to have to go over. The.

Speaker 1 (01:13:11):
Top uh. YOU KNOW i i think what they might
be alluding, to Here and i've seen it on some
of the social medias of folks that, follow WRESTLING and
i was thinking about it BEFORE before i saw some
other takes, on IT but i think they may be
preparing To push drew in a more babyface Roll and

(01:13:36):
damien in a more heel.

Speaker 2 (01:13:38):
ROLE movie i will let You know drew is out
for the. Foreseeable future he is on a on leave
extended leave right now to deal with injuries and to be.
With family, oh well good, For him good.

Speaker 1 (01:13:53):
For him it was a.

Speaker 2 (01:13:54):
Planned leave it's like he's having issues with. His neck
he couldn't turn his head like completely all the way
left gotcha for the last couple. Of weeks so he
is getting some well earned, time off.

Speaker 1 (01:14:07):
Well earned, time off. For sure the night Ended With
jay Usso Versus. LOGAN paul, i, mean okay.

Speaker 2 (01:14:16):
It happened, it Happened And john cena tried, to interfere
and you, know what that's what and that's what Gave
Us cody. Rhoads back, so.

Speaker 1 (01:14:26):
Yeah But john cena wants to, ruin wrestlings so it
makes sense. He does, But Yes cody roads did come
back And, assist jausso and we will get at money in.
The Bank jay Usso And cody rhodes Versus H logan
paul And the undisputed W W E Champion, john cena

(01:14:47):
which brings Us, to yeah which brings us To The
John Cena Versus our truth. Singles match it was the
shortest match of. The night it needed to be the
shortest match of the night BECAUSE unfortunately wwe was not
going to do the Fun Thing Where?

Speaker 2 (01:15:07):
ARE truth i don't even think it was A title
i don't even think it was a.

Speaker 1 (01:15:09):
Title match it. Probably Wasn't But our truth is a.
Global treasure it should be protected at all costs because
he is one of the funniest human beings, in wrestling.
For Sure But john cena Low Blows our truth and
and wins that. Title back we then moved to W

(01:15:30):
W e Raw on netflix from yesterday on the.

Speaker 2 (01:15:34):
Twenty sixth, Good, matches man some really.

Speaker 1 (01:15:37):
GOOD matches i actually really thought That the Dragon Ly
Penta chad gable match was. Really good thought it was.

Speaker 2 (01:15:46):
REALLY good i was Happy With kyrie saye And Liv
Morgan live morgan didn't really have. Any rest that girl
just loves. To wrestles THAT'S what i love. About her
she didn't want to like like get back and have
a little bit. Of rest you wanted to make sure
everybody needs To know i'm. ON top i thought the
Promo With lyra Valkyria and becky got a little personal

(01:16:08):
and real for.

Speaker 1 (01:16:09):
A second.

Speaker 2 (01:16:12):
Becky definitely. Got, Offended uh.

Speaker 1 (01:16:14):
And they took a page Out of Tiff versus charlotte
there a, little BIT and i think they took it a.

Speaker 2 (01:16:20):
Little, FURTHER yeah I think beck's a little pissed in,
real LIFE which I mean, LYRA technically I mean becky has.
A point she was. Moving, on yeah And and, lyra interfered,
so uh which we which we could get that Switch
now lyra could, go heel could touch Heel and becky could. Be.

Speaker 1 (01:16:45):
BABY sure i do like THE W w e putting
on a t For us Russev versus seamus at some
point in the near.

Speaker 2 (01:16:55):
Future WE'VE got.

Speaker 1 (01:16:59):
I, Did too, But man Russev versus seamus is going
to be. A banger it.

Speaker 2 (01:17:05):
Should. BE uh, I mean i don't Know if russev
he hasn't really had to display being like a good
wrestler who can put on like a ten to fifteen
minute long, match yet so we will have We know.
Seamus can seamus will just, be winded.

Speaker 1 (01:17:23):
Yea, very winded which, is.

Speaker 2 (01:17:25):
Fine understandable he's. Getting, older yeah he'll, do, it though
he'll just be.

Speaker 1 (01:17:31):
VERY winded i thought the Promo for Jay and guther.
Was good it, was short sweet to.

Speaker 2 (01:17:37):
THE point i thought. SO too i thought it was
a really good moment. FOR.

Speaker 1 (01:17:40):
J i i THINK they're i hate to, say THIS
but i think they're going To push gunther to be
a kind of, a tweeter especially with the kind of
outside j gother stuff That that gunther's been a part.

Speaker 2 (01:17:59):
OF here i.

Speaker 1 (01:18:01):
DON'T know I just i don't foresee him being full
heel for very. MUCH LONGER i, I okay I see
guther being a tweener here in the.

Speaker 2 (01:18:10):
Near, future, interesting? Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:18:15):
Yeah Uh seth Rollins Defeated sammy Zain And finn balor
and a triple threat to go to money In. The
bank no, surprise there.

Speaker 2 (01:18:24):
It was.

Speaker 1 (01:18:24):
Okay. Yeah uh and then We get seth punk or
see him Punk Tricking seth rollinson giving us a little
go to sleep action at the end of. The. Show,
uh so like The The seth rollins see Him, punk
ah feud continues.

Speaker 2 (01:18:42):
For, SURE yeah, I mean i don't know if that
feuds technically ever really going.

Speaker 1 (01:18:46):
To End, oh no they'll go to their graves with that.

Speaker 2 (01:18:50):
Feud intact play play, fist uh play.

Speaker 1 (01:18:55):
The Weekend at bernies.

Speaker 2 (01:18:56):
It yeah, Play Fighting uh. IT'S yeah i mean.

Speaker 1 (01:19:04):
It was an.

Speaker 2 (01:19:04):
INTERESTING car i think it had some ups. And downs
i'm LOOKING like, I said i Think The lyra Valkyria
and becky promo WAS probably i think my highlight except
for Except for chad And and penza, and.

Speaker 1 (01:19:18):
Yeah and that match was the best match of. The
night so many people got bumped on their heads.

Speaker 2 (01:19:23):
SO hard I think chad took it, A LOT.

Speaker 1 (01:19:26):
But i think The The becky lyra was the most
interesting thing. That happened i'll tell YOU what. I need
i need something good to Happen for Carry. And cross.

Speaker 2 (01:19:38):
It's coming. It's coming to be PATIENT because I think
i think it's Gonna Be. SAMMY'S ain I Think sammy's
ain is obviously the Next Uh he'll he'll be the
next Feud Because sammy sammy's a big enough star that
he gets big enough pops that the crowd will be
totally in it, for it and Uh and carrion will be.

Speaker 1 (01:19:59):
Able to go as dark.

Speaker 2 (01:20:00):
As possible the, Thing is i'm afraid he how much
more does? He have for like you can only get
so much off of your chest because whenever he, does
it he does it a. Long. Time, yeah YEAH how,
I mean i'm sure he has PLENTY. Of ammo how long?

(01:20:20):
Can you how long can?

Speaker 1 (01:20:21):
He? Go yeah one other Thing that i'll bring up UP,
about wwe after an incredibly long Break On Friday, night
SmackDown we finally got the return Of the.

Speaker 2 (01:20:33):
Wyatt, Six yes i'm excited. FOR it I love monjas
for Doing the sign Of the cross side Of.

Speaker 1 (01:20:39):
The, cross uh they gotta do something cool with. THESE
guys i mean it's they built it up and built
it up and built, it up and then we got
like injury matches total and then.

Speaker 2 (01:20:51):
Injuries, Happened yeah i'd love To See eric rohan back
at like on the main, event level because like when
he Was With luke harper and And Even, bray wyatt
they were. Main eventing people don't Think About eric rohan
as a main of, ventteran dude he was a main.
Eventer consistently do We Think.

Speaker 1 (01:21:09):
Alexa bliss is going to hook up With the waya
at six?

Speaker 2 (01:21:11):
At ALL or. I don't i, THINK eventually i think
they're going to. Cross paths often they're just gonna tease
it quite, a BIT but i don't think they need to.
RIGHT now i Think let nikki be the star. OF
that I think alexa is a front runner for winning
money in, the bank just to get her one more title,

(01:21:32):
at LEAST because i would love To see julia. GET
it i would actually love To See roxanne perez. GET
it i don't remember.

Speaker 1 (01:21:40):
They're they're pushing.

Speaker 2 (01:21:41):
Her big, She's good but the thing is they they've
intertwined her with The With, judgment DAY which i think
is going to. HAMPER her I think i think they
need to either push Her against raquel and Either get
raquel out Of The, judgment day Or have roxanne Go
again raquel and be pinned from interference And. Get roxanne

(01:22:05):
that's the ONLY way i want to see her push.
RIGHT now i don't want to see her push as the,
third member a third Woman in judgment And The judgment
day when she's almost to the ring Quality. OF live
I think live is probably the best en ring worker
right now on the, women's SIDE and i think.

Speaker 1 (01:22:24):
It's Definitely Not, zoe stark who had the worst missile
Drop kick i've ever seen in, my life and her
knee also thought it was the worst missile drop.
