(00:00):
I sincerely debated starting this with theaudio of Matthew McConaughey crying from Interstellar.
So I have an announcement to make. This is the last episode I watched
this tonight. Yeah, we madeit. This will be one hundred and
forty five episodes. It has beenso fun. I have loved every minute

(00:23):
of it. It's been so coolinteracting with you the listeners, and talking
about what we're watching and kind oflaughing with each other about, you know,
what we're up to and what wefind good bad out there in the
world. I absolutely am sure thatI'm going to forget some people, and
if I do, please forgive me. But I want to shout out for

(00:44):
sure some like, you know, longtime listeners, people that I've interacted with
a lot, My guy Omar,my friend ap everyone who wrote a review
of the show, Sean Ryan,James, Jefferson, Nicole, Lexei,
Nathaniel Nauart, Flip Clark, BrandonCocherell, Benjamin Charobani, Stephen Cope for
my buddy in Nearaje, Everybody,Jesse, Everybody, Miles Doina Hoffman,

(01:08):
my sister Stephanie, who designed theart for the show, Our wonderful composer
of Voyage Media Drows Gonzalez, whodid our theme music that you usually hear
on every episode. The reason thatI decided to end it now is couplefold.
I mean, basically, it becameclear over time that this was a
show it was going to basically it'sgonna be like a cult classic, much

(01:30):
like The Shield, my favorite TVshow of all time, a small but
loyal audience, right, And itjust became clear that it was never going
to be organically, you know, maybe if I had the marketing budget,
maybe, but organically it was notgoing to grow to a point where it
was self sustaining, meaning that Icould really justify the amount of time that
it takes to make the show everyweek and all that kind of stuff.

(01:53):
And also I thought that I kindof wanted to go out on top,
meaning I don't know that I wouldnever be able to do better than getting
the creator of the you know, underlying ip. Obviously he's involved in the
show Hugh Howee of Silo, whichwas are you with the streaming show of
the summer in terms of how successfulit was, and certainly not how much

(02:15):
I liked it. To get himon the show the Monday after the season
finale aired. It's pretty good.I don't know that I was going to
do better than that, so Iwanted to kind of go out on top.
I sort of knew that I wasgetting closer to the end, and
I thought, man, I'm notgonna I'm not going to really be able
to do bad than that. That'sthe last trick I had up my sleeve.

(02:36):
I thought a fun thing to dofor this last episode was I just
kind of look over all the episodesI've done and kind of call out some
highlights, some things that really jumpedout to me, almost all of which
are episodes I had of guests.Getting an interview Hugh Howee, of course
was awesome and I really enjoyed it. That was just a very cool opportunity.
Richard Wank one of my heroes andscreenwriting, the writer of all the

(02:58):
Equalizer films. I know Sean Ryantold me he listened to that interview three
times, so it was totally worthdoing just for that. But Richard is
just an awesome guy, and I'mreally grateful I got to talk to him.
I did the sky the Definitive,as far as I'm concerned, Skyline
Movie franchise Megapodcast with Leam MacDonnell.I love that guy. I really liked
those movies, So yeah, thatwas really fun as well. Honestly,

(03:20):
probably my favorite episode of the entirepodcast was the Guilty Pleasures of the Night
Agent episode with James Jefferson aka Brotherof Doom. Really enjoyed doing that and
I you know, I definitely gotsome feedback from people saying that they thought
it was really funny and it was, you know, an enjoyable listen hilariously
the most popular episode of the show. This is a show based in positivity,

(03:40):
right, It's things that I thinkyou should watch, I think are
good. The most popular episode ofthe entire show is the only episode that
was negative, which was the TulsaKing. It's the only one of the
whole series where I was like,I'm still going to talk about it even
though I don't think you should watchit at So I just thought it was
hilarious that this is the most popularepisode of the whole podcast. Actually,

(04:02):
correction, it's the second most popularepisode. The most popular episode was Tell
Me Lies on Hulu, followed byThe Night Agent, followed by Vengeance on
Amazon, followed by Best Watches ofmy life. I did Emily the Criminal
with producer Dian Grek is an awesomeguy. That's a really good movie.
That was just a very cool conversation. I did Top three TV Series of

(04:23):
the Year with Kendall Lampkin, whois single handedly responsible forgetting me to watch
Severance, which I absolutely loved,so big shout out to Kendall for that.
So yeah, that's it. That'sthe end of the podcast. You
know, for those of you thatyou know connect with me about this show
and text me or message me onsocials or you know, we kind of

(04:44):
go back and forth talking about we'rewatching. I've really enjoyed those conversations with
you. We probably will keep doingthat. But yeah, the show is
going to end now just because Ijust I literally just can't just if I
continue to do it with doubt ithaving some financial return for the amount of
time that I put it to it. So yeah, that's the end.

(05:08):
I want to say again, sincereour heartfelt thank you to everyone who engaged
with me on the show. Itwas absolutely a delight and for the last
time, thank you for listening.Bye bye. Let me name mur
