Speaker 1 (00:03):
Good evening is February ninth, twenty twenty five. We have
an active weather pattern this week across the Midwest. There's
no question about that, as three storm systems moved its
way across the Midwest. The first is a minor system,
but the second two. Both of them have all three
major ingredients necessary to produce a major, impactful winter storm

(00:28):
of six inches or more of snow here in the Midwest.
Those three ingredients are copious amount of golf moisture. That's
Gulf of America moisture. South flow coming off of the
Gulf into up the Mississippi River Valley, even other Gulf
Coast states is feeding into the system. This is going
to be a midweek system bringing its snow into the

(00:50):
Chicago area. Arctic air on the backside bear metal pressure
of twenty nine zero point six from pretty much the
beginning to the end. A significant storm for here in
the Midwest produces usually a solid six to twelve inches.
Chicago tends to end up in the three to six
inch area. National Weather Service tells us they have high
confidence in three inches or more. We'll have to wait

(01:14):
and see how much comes. But the second storm is
also significant. Another Southern Stream storm. All three ingredients once
again collide together copious amounts of golf moisture. At the
current time, the European computer model does show more golf
moisture with the first system then the second, but that
keeps going back and forth. We have more storms coming

(01:36):
into our area for next week, especially the end of
next week. Another Southern Stream storm for the end the
next week as well, but these are the two storm
systems that we're watching for this week, so everyone snow
lovers will be real excited about this, and we haven't
seen much snow here in Chicago at all. We'll also
have some linking handsment as well, so stay tuned, enjoy

(01:58):
your week. Thank you for listening.
