Now let's go live for all the action. Here's Greg White.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
And we welcome you in to Mill Creek, West Virginia,
Weber Walmsley Court on the campus of Tiger's Valley High School.
My name is Greg White. Welcome in to Bulldog basketball
on ninety four point seven w e LK. Thanks to
everybody's streaming us online tonight at nine four seven w
elk dot Com up in the Clarksburg area. Of course,
(00:59):
you can always tune in and download the WVRC Media
app and follow the games there as well. We think
we've got a good one here tonight. The Notre Dame
Fighting Irish underhead coach Jared West taking on the Tigers
Valley Bulldogs. Now, these two teams met a couple of
weeks ago, and you'll hear Tom Walmsley talk about it
(01:19):
in the pregame interview coming up. He felt like they
caught them in kind of a down game for whatever reason,
they weren't hitting the shots like they normally do. Tiger's
Valley ended up winning that one a couple of weeks
ago by twenty one points up in Clarksburg. Here tonight,
he expects a much different game, not only with the
(01:41):
shooting of Notre Dame, but also an update, and again
you'll hear coach Walmsley talk about that. Starting senior Cayden
Moore is out for this week, probably next week as well,
as he got injured down at Webster County this Friday night,
(02:03):
So you have to go smaller. Caden Moore, of course,
one of the big guys. He and Jacob Walmsley both
checking in around six three six ' four. And now
with Kateen Moore out of the game, you lose a
couple of things. Number one, you lose some size and
then you also lose that coach on the floor. Kaden Moore,
(02:23):
one of the better players in high school basketball at
getting his teammates positioned where they need to be. So
Caden Moore is out tonight. That means Parker Bell, the
young sophomore, is advancing and he will be in the
starting lineup. So Tom Walmsley, Mike Depascal and the crew
(02:44):
going with a smaller, quicker lineup. So what you have
to hope there, if you are a Bulldog fan, is
get turnovers, get steals, turn defense into offense. That's what
we're looking at. On the other side, for Notre Dame,
you've got Giovanni Minacci and Domenico Omnachi. Both those guys
here last year put up some points. You got to
(03:04):
keep them from scoring. And you know that helmet in
the middle is going to give you absolute fits under
the basket. So there's lots going on here tonight, a
lot of different storylines to deal with. As we were
about sixteen minutes away from the opening tip off, I
am expected or expecting to be joined here in just
(03:25):
a few moments by special guests by the name of
Dmanuel Smith. Of course, most of you familiar with d'manuel
here in the area. He is part of the broadcast
for the Elkins Tigers over on ninety eight nine WD
and E. But sometimes you need a backup, and Tom
I told Tom Walmsley, the head coach of Tiger's Valley,
(03:45):
he hired away my backup, Mike Depascals. Most of you
know that listened to Tiger's Valley broadcasts know that Mike
de Pascal is my partner on high school football broadcasts
and he was sort of my fill in backup personal basketball. Well,
he can't coach and do radio at the same time.
So Dmmanuel Smith's going to come out. He'll be the
new I guess back up an eulcher for Tigers Valley.
(04:09):
So Dmanuel will be joining us here a little bit
later on in the program. Our pregame show is underway
here in Mill Creek getting ready for Notre Dame and
Tiger's Valley will step away for two minutes. When we
come back, we'll take an opportunity to listen to the
thoughts of head coach Tom Walmsley. It's Tiger's Valley Basketball
on ninety four point seven.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
We are getting ready here in the pregame show for
Tigers Valley and Notre Dame out of Clarksburg, joined by
head coach Tom Walmsley. So a couple of nights ago
down to Webster County, you went and managed to pull
that one out in the end. What'd you see on
film after the game?
Speaker 10 (06:41):
Well, you know, Webster just came ready to play, and
we had a very difficult time to the first half
just getting ourselves in gear, and they stuck it to us.
We were down six at halftime, and we made a
decision that we were going to have to get quicker,
and uh we did a much better job the third quarter,
(07:04):
got up by one at the end of the third going
into the fourth, and but then the the fourth quarter
was a dogfight back and forth.
Speaker 4 (07:13):
Uh.
Speaker 10 (07:13):
They had they had several opportunities to win. Uh we
dug down and got got a couple of key turnovers,
a couple of key stops, and then uh and make
some nice shots, uh, several several crucial shots because we
trailed most of the quarter.
Speaker 11 (07:30):
Uh.
Speaker 10 (07:31):
And then uh we got Parker got fouled with three
seconds ago and makes two foul shots and that was
the game. But it was it could have been anybody's
game up to that point.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
Well, and unfortunately Caden Moore got an injury down there.
He is not dressing tonight. H Can you tell us
a little bit about what's going on with him?
Speaker 10 (07:52):
It's uh it's diagnosed as a slight tear behind his
knee with a tenon that can next to his hamstring.
The early prognosis is he'll be back next Wednesday, and
I hope that's true, but it means he's going to
be missing three games. He's going to miss tonight Monday
(08:13):
night we go to Harmon, and then Tuesday, we got
a Dodgers County team coming in here with only one
loss on Tuesday night, So we've got, you know, three
games that we're going to miss him. But you know,
it's one of those things the next guy steps up,
So you know, we hope we got some guys ready
to fill some big shoes.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
Well, you know, we talked about it before we started
the interview, and looks like with Kayden Moore out, you're
gonna go a little bit smaller, a little bit quicker,
and start Parker Bell. Pretty good opportunity for that young
sophomore to get some time in the starting fight.
Speaker 10 (08:48):
Right And and you know, Parker's been logging almost as
many men's as the starters anyway, just from coming in,
so it won't be any big deal for him. I
guess maybe starting to be a little bit different feel
for him, but I think he'll be fine. And yeah,
we're going a little smaller and hopefully be a little
(09:09):
quicker and maybe get a little better to jump start.
Speaker 4 (09:13):
On our offense.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
So you've got a team in here tonight with Clarksburg
Notre Dame, Jared West, a head coach, great head coach,
and you got them pretty good up at their place.
Do you expect to see anything different out of them tonight?
Speaker 10 (09:28):
I don't know if we'll see much different. I'm going
to tell you they'll be better, don't. We caught them,
and again it was a fight up there. I think
we were up seven at halftime and probably carried that
on end. We extended it to about fifteen into the
fourth quarter, but it you know, it was tough. He's
(09:52):
got some nice players, they're young, and I don't know
if we intimidate him early, but I'm going to tell
you they're probably over that. So you know, I think
they'll knock down some more shots than they did down there.
They're shooting was off, and I'd like to think a
lot of it was our defense, but they got a
lot of open shots too, so I'm hoping they still
(10:15):
miss those. But they've got some nice kids. Manucci kid,
the one playing the wing, number eleven is a great shooter.
Number three, the point guard is really quick, does a
great job. And the helmet kid that's their center. Those
are three of the better players we see all years.
So he's got some material there. They just haven't quite
(10:38):
jailed yet. I think they're eight and eight. So he's
doing a great job with all.
Speaker 3 (10:43):
Right, Head coach Tom Walmsley, we'll find out what happens
coming up on ninety four point seven w e OK.

Well welcome you back in to the pregame show here
on ninety four point seven w E l K Greg
White be joined by Dmmanuel Smith coming up being a
little bit and Grham Mixed masterv Brad Workman back at
Master Control and again we welcome you in and talk
to mister Manachi. He is the score book keeper for
Clarksburg Notre Dame. He asked about our website and said
(13:21):
some people back home wanted to tune in, and people
across the country tuning in, he apparently sent out a
text for us, so we welcome all of you in
who support the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. We think we'll
bring you a pretty good basketball game here tonight, as
we've got the eighth and eighth Fighting Irish of Notre
Dame under head coach Jared West. They opened up the
(13:45):
season with two back to back losses against Charleston Catholic
and at Clay Mattel. Then they routed all three wins
in a row. They beat Pocahontas County at home, Trinity
Christian on the road in Liberty Harrison at home. Then
kind of back and forth for this Fighting Irish team.
They dropped one to Wheeling Central at home, beat Trinity Christian,
(14:06):
lost at South Harrison one at one hundred, back to
back losses at Parkersburg Catholic and at Pendleton County. Gotta
went over South Harrison at home, had this Tucker County
team come up there on February the fifth and this
Tiger's Valley team rather and Tigers Valley did get the win,
(14:26):
and then two wins back to back at Pocahontas County
and a home win against Cameron by two, and then
they fell last night to Liberty Harrison fifty seven to
forty eight. So they do come into the game with
a record of eight and eight for Tigers Valley. Solid
season so far, they are eleven and four wins over
(14:49):
Pendleton County, Harmon, Union, Trinity, Christian, Pocahontas County, Clavetel South Harrison,
Pocahontas County again, Union, Webster County, Notre Dame, and then
losses at Tucker County, at East Hardy, at or home
(15:10):
against East Hardy or Clayvetel if I could read my
own handwriting, and of course lost a couple last Friday
night here against East Hardy. So kind of a good
season for Tom Walmsley squad, and you kind of felt
like that for the Bulldogs coming into the season with
(15:32):
four seniors and a junior in the starting lineup. Now,
as we mentioned earlier in the pregame, and as you
may have heard from head coach Tom Walmsley, Tiger's Valley
down one of those starters tonight. Caden Moore, the six
' to three senior forward, had twenty points the other
night against Webster County before he went down with a
knee injury. Right now. The medical experts say he is
(15:55):
out until at least next Wednesday, So that means the
RESCI game against Harmon on Monday night, and then here
on Tuesday night against a very good Doddridge County team.
The Bulldogs will be without Caden Moore. Speaking of Doddridge County,
they it's in what a game that's gonna be tonight.
(16:17):
They are over on the Mountain and Hamilton to take
on Tucker County. So you've got Tucker County and Doddridge
County battling tonight. We'll try to get you updates on
the score as we can talk about the remaining schedule
for this Tigers Valley team. As we said Monday night,
they will be at Harmon on February the eighteenth, next Tuesday,
(16:42):
Doddridge County here in town. Next Friday, a week from tonight,
will make the trip down to Franklin as the Bulldogs
will battle Pendleton County February twenty fifth, that's a Tuesday
night they go to Petersburg. They wrap up the home
season on February twenty seventh on a Thursday night against
Tucker County here and then the final game of the
regular season March the fourth out at South Harrison. So
(17:07):
that's the remaining schedule. We can't believe it. We are
already fifteen games into the season with seven games left
including tonight. Teams are out of the locker room warming up,
Tiger's Valley warming up at the basket to our right.
Notre Dame warming up at the basket to our left.
(17:29):
Our broadcast location. As always, we are about quarter court right,
be right beside of the scorers table and right behind
the Tiger's Valley bench. Let's go through the starting lineups
for you for Notre Dame under head coach Jared West,
again a record of eight and eight. They are five
and three at home, three and five on the road.
They average fifty one points a game. They give up
(17:52):
about fifty six points a game. They will go with
Giovanni Manacci at one guard. The other guard dominic Co Manachi,
his dad said. Sometimes they call him d D. But
Dominico Manachi will be out on the wing. Dom Bombadier,
the senior, I told coach Jared West if he was
(18:13):
your three point shooter. What a perfect name, right, Bombadier?
Perfect name for a three point shooter, he said, Well
more of an insect yet I'm like, okay, Nicholas Monroe,
the sophomore, and in the middle it's junior Braden the helmic.
So again, you're starting lineup for Notre Dame Minachi Manachi, Bombadier,
Monroe and Helmick Notre Dame in a gold uniform tonight
(18:38):
with green numerals trimmed in black. In script above the
number on the front of the jersey, it says simply
Irish for Tigers Valleys. Starting five tonight for Tom Walmsley's Bulldogs.
At one guard, five six sophomore Parker Bell averages thirteen
points a game. He had eleven points on Fried and
(19:00):
I at Webster County. The point guard five to seven
senior Ian Harris averages four points, three rebounds and two
assists per game. Out on the wing, Avery Rowlspinagal five
ten senior two points, two rebounds, two assists per game.
Kendall Armstrong five to eleven senior, He's your three point
(19:22):
shooter forty two percent from three point Rangey averages eight
points and three rebounds a game. And in the middle
it'll be junior Jacob Walmsley, six foot three, leading scorer
on the team at fifteen points a game. And leading
rebounder as well. He pulls down eight boards a game.
(19:42):
So we are ready to go with Tigers Valley. It'll
be Belle, Harris, Rawls, Spinagle, Armstrong and Walmsley will step
away for two minutes to be back with the opening
tip off on ninety four point seven w e OK.
Speaker 15 (19:53):

Getting ready to go. Teams are being introduced again for
Notre Dame Giovanni Minacci, Domenico Manacci, dom Bombadier, Nicholas Munroe
and Braden Helmick for Tiger's Valley Parker bell, Ian Harris, Avery, Rauspinagle,
Kendall Armstrong and Jacob Walmsley. I do want to take
just a minute and give a little shout out to

Amanda tells me that Desiree is a regular listener to
the program, and so we really appreciate that. Thank you
so much for listening. I hope you have a wonderful
Valentine's Day. Let's play some basketball here starting lineups again.
Judy Harris back behind the microphone for a game or two.
(22:50):
Glad to have Judy back, and the teams are being
introduced again. Always kind of neat when you play Clarksburg
Notre Dame. Their head coach Jared West. Of course, if
you are a fan of the West Virginia Mountaineers, as
I am, it's always nice. I remember his playing days.
He was always such a joy to watch, and now
(23:12):
he is a phenomenal head coach. He's doing a great
job at Clarksburg Notre Dame. Tiger's valley eleven and four
on the season, they score fifty three points a game,
give up forty nine points a game, and Notre Dame
at eight and eight, we expect a really good basketball game.
Branden Helmick waits on the Bulldog logo at mid court,
(23:35):
Jacob Walmsley walks out. They shake hands. I think it's
time to play a little basketball.
Speaker 4 (23:43):
The official.
Speaker 3 (23:45):
Strolls to mid court, puts the ball skyward. We're underway
and Notre Dame as the basketball Geovanni Manachi, the point
guard for the Irish Hazard working at the basket two
hour left, pushes it over on the right side to Manachi.
They just play catch with it out on the perimeter,
try to float it up underneath. The ball tipped away
(24:06):
and a tie up Avery Rowsepinagle tied up Nicholas Monroe
and the possession arrow goes to the Bulldogs. We've played
about seventeen seconds here just underway. Parker Bell getting to
start tonight for the injured Kayden Moore gets it to
Kenda Armstrong quickly into the front court top of the key.
(24:27):
They come to Ian Harris. Harris watched there by Domenico
Manachi on the right side to Parker Bell. Bell has
it looking inside. They get it to Kendall Armstrong has
to come out high. Parker Bell had to run it down.
He holds on to it. Scoreless ballgame here in Mill Creek.
Parker Bell goes in, dishes it off to Walmsley up
over the front of the ram.
Speaker 4 (24:48):
It's in.
Speaker 3 (24:49):
It's good and.
Speaker 4 (24:50):
He's thou.
Speaker 3 (24:53):
Thal is going to be called on Braydon Hellmick number
one on him. Nice move by Parker Bell. Drove in
actually lost the handle on the basketball, tipped it to
Walmsley who was patiently waiting to roll it over the
front of the rim. Free throw up and good threed
to nothing. Tiger's valley and the lead. We played forty seconds.
(25:16):
Giovanni Manacci into the front court, diminutive point guard, dribbles
over to his right, comes to the near side to
Bombadier in the corner.
Speaker 4 (25:24):
They go.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
Now they try to work it underneath. The ball swatted away.
It goes back into the hands of Notre Dame and
it over and back. It got away from Bombadier. Second
turnover against Notre Dame three to nothing. Tiger's valley in
the lead opening quarter. Just underway here in mill Creek,
Kendall Armstrong to trigger it in at mid court looks
(25:46):
looks comes in to Ian Harris. Harris picked up at
mid court by Dominico Manachi, gets it to Kendall Armstrong.
Now they work it underneath the Walmsley, backs in, backs
in cut off there kicks it in the corner to
Ian Hala Harris Harris back in underneath the Walmsley, floating
away from about five feet and he drains it five
(26:07):
to nothing. All the points belonged to Jacob Walmsley. Tiger's
valley on top. We played ninety seconds Irish with the
basketball here is an NBA level three up and no
good for Giovanni Manachi, but the rebound caroms out. Manachi
pulls it down in the corner. Another three up and
on the way by Dominico Manachi. He can't get it
(26:29):
to go rebound knocked out of bounds, last touching the
Irish little full court pressure. Now man demanded by the Irish,
Tiger's Valley breaks it. Avery Rowlspnogle to Walmsley. Walmsley's gonna
fire it up from about twelve.
Speaker 4 (26:47):
This one no good.
Speaker 3 (26:48):
Rebound fought for and we've got a foul on the
rebound on Avery Rowl's Spinagle of Tiger's valley as Monroe
pulled the rebound down and Spinagle tried to take it
away from him. One team foul apiece. We played two minutes.
Tiger's Valley leaps five to nothing. Giovanni Minaci comes into
the front court, brings it to the near side to
(27:09):
Bomba Deer. They play catch with it out high Ian
Harris watching bomba deer. Now they go underneath on the
left side. Now they try to work it underneath. They
threw it away right into the hands of Jacob Walmsley.
Turnover number three against Notre Dame. Tiger's valley on offence,
working with it, they give it to Parker Bell. Bell
(27:30):
on the right side, dribbles the basketball, drives to the
foul line. Nothing there to Ian Harris. Ian Harris drives in,
wanted to fade away, can't get it to go. Ball
stolen away and then a foul. Parker Bell reached in
as the balls stolen away by Giovanni Manachi. He stepped
in the passing lane, picked it off, and then a
foul committed by Parker Bell. Five point thirty to go,
(27:54):
opening quarter, five to nothing. Tiger's valley back and forth
we go. Manachi out front. That's Vanni Minacchi comes to
the near side to bomba deer back out near mid court.
Back over again. Now they try to work it underneath
Monroe behind the defense and Avery Rouse. Monago reached him,
swatted the ball right out of his hands. It's another turnover.
He brings it into the front court to Ian Harris
(28:15):
to Ken Armstrong on the left wing. Armstrong running floater.
It will not go rebound. Pulled down by Notre Dame,
stopping and popping. It's Giovanni Manachi for three. It won't
go rebound. To Tiger's Valley Jacob Walmsley. It's taken away,
ball is tipped, lots of action, good defense on both teams.
As the Irish take it right back. Giovanni Minacci works
(28:39):
with it at mid court clock rolls four forty to
go opening quarter, near side to Dominico Manachi. Back around
they go. They work it out high, looking underneath the
Monroe in the corner. They go, here's Dominico Manachi. He'll
fire up a three. It will not go rebound into
the hounds of Helmick and he scores. The valley had
(29:00):
a couple of players down there and it went through
both of their hands into the hands of Manachi. Now
on the other side, Ian Harris gets it to Kenda
Armstrong deep right corner out hide his spinagle left side
Parker Bell, he wants a three. He got it. Parker Bell.
He lives in the gym and it shows when he
shoots the ball eight to two. Tiger's Valley's lead. Bell
(29:23):
a forty percent free throw shooter on the season, and
he's a sophomore Irish into the front court working with
it left side. It's Bombardier right side to Giovanni Manacchi.
Manachi push pass. Now they go in the corner. Now
they work it underneath the helmet. Helmet goes up with
the left hand, cannot get it to go, working against Walmsley.
(29:43):
Rebound to Tiger's valley into the hands of Parker Bell,
comes out to Ian Harris. Harris drives to the foul line,
nothing there, works it around to Avery Rowse Spinagle, Spinogle
hands it off to Kenda Armstrong. Back to Ian Harris
drives the baseline, tries to kick it to Walmsley, turned
it over. Ball tipped away too far under the basket.
(30:04):
Another turnover against the Bulldogs. That's three in the opening
quarter and the Irish have the ball. Here is a
long three up and good for Domenico manachieve eight to five.
Tigers valley in the lead. Now on the other side,
ball poked around, poked around and knocked out of bounds.
It will stay with.
Speaker 4 (30:27):
Tiger's valley.
Speaker 3 (30:28):
Substitutions now Isaiah Garnick in four the Irish along with
Caden Posey. Now on the other side, ball almost stolen away.
It is stolen away a turnover. It goes to Posey
to Garnick. He has his shot blocked and the rebound
pulled down by Tiger's Valley driving the baseline Ian Harrison.
(30:53):
He is bumped, He is bumped, and then a foul
is called on Tom Bombader.
Speaker 4 (31:04):
As.
Speaker 3 (31:06):
I don't know if you're ready or not, but we
welcome into Manuel Smith. Welcome to the broadcast.
Speaker 4 (31:10):
Good evening, sir. How are we doing this evening? Hey?
Speaker 3 (31:12):
So far, so good? Eight to five, Tiger's Valley on
top here on ninety four point seven. We okay. They
have the basketball. Kenda Armstrong floats it in to Avery Rowsepnogal.
It goes to Adam Woods into the ballgame on the
near side. They work it to Parker Bell, the sophomore
into the game, kicks it to Kenda Armstrong, trying to
get Armstrong or Bell open for the three if they can.
(31:35):
Walmsley at the foul line fake the shot drives in.
He's cut off there by, helmet works it back out
to Avery Rawspnogle. Adam Wood's very active running the baseline.
He catches it out near mid court. They try to
go underneath to Jacob Walmsley almost stolen away. The ball
slotted out of bounds. It stays with Tiger's valley.
Speaker 4 (31:55):
So demanding, I know you.
Speaker 3 (31:56):
Were listening coming in. You know Caden Moore for Tiger's
Valley out tonight with the knee injury, Parker Bell getting
the start, both teams a lot of activity on the turnovers.
Speaker 18 (32:05):
Well, that's gonna be a huge loss for Tiger's Valley.
But someone's gonna have to step up, and Bell's gonna
have to be that young man to do that today
for the Bulldogs.
Speaker 3 (32:12):
Now here's Adam Woods. He'll pull the trigger on a
three from the left wing. It will not go, rebound
down to the Irish. Working with it is posey. He
gets it too. Geovanni Manachi. He'll pull the trigger on
a three. It won't go, but the rebound slapped out
high two the Irish. There's another three on the way,
this one coming from Garnick, and it won't go rebound
(32:33):
to Tiger's valley. Now here's Parker Bell underneath the basketball,
tipped around, tipped around, it goes out of bounds. It'll
be another turnover. Five turnovers right now for Tiger's Valley.
Four for Notre Dame.
Speaker 4 (32:45):
I think this is gonna be one of those games.
Speaker 18 (32:47):
Well, you can see the pace is fast and furious
here in the first quarter, So gonna have to calm
down a little bit and get in your sets, run
your offense.
Speaker 3 (32:55):
Giovanni Manacchi for the Irish with the basketball, pushes it
over on the right side to Garnick. Garnic drives down
the lane. Fell as he was going down, but they
are going to call the foul and that is going
to go against Parker Bell, the sophomore getting to start tonight,
and he just picked up foul number two here in
the first quarter and immediately Alex Scott up off the bench.
Speaker 4 (33:14):
And that's huge for Tiger's Valley.
Speaker 3 (33:18):
He can rack up some points. The young sophomore. Again
we talked about Parker Bell averages thirteen points a game
as a tenth grader. Off the bench tonight his first start.
Now on the other side, the Irish trying to work
it inside. They try to go into Helmick, Jacob Walms
that grabs it, ties it up. It'll stay with the
Irish one minute, twenty seven seconds to go eight to five.
(33:44):
Tiger's Valley with a three point lead. They jumped out
to a five to nothing lead and then the scoring
has been a bit sparse here in the first quarter.
In bounce play comes in to Giovanni Minacci. He is
grabbed and found by Avery Ralse Bnagal, And here you
go another starter for Tiger's Valley with two fouls in
the first quarter.
Speaker 18 (34:04):
And if you're Tiger's Valley, you're going to have to
adjust to the way the referees are calling the game.
That's something that you're going to have to do throughout
the ball game, or else you're going to find yourself
in a whole lot of trouble. Very early, Aiden Ferris
up off the bench.
Speaker 3 (34:17):
So now you've got Kendall Armstrong, Jacob Walmsley, Aiden Ferris,
Adam Woods and Alex Scott. Now here is a quick
release three off of the left side. It will not
go for posey rebound pulled down by Tiger's Valley and
moving down the court, the ball swatted away. The official
on the backside said, much to the disagreement of Notre Dame,
(34:40):
that it is Tiger's Valley. Basketball. Alex Scott into the game,
will trigger it in quarter court across the way it
comes in to Adam Woods. Woods drifts over to the right,
tries to work it in the corner to Kendl Armstrong.
Armstrong had to run it down off balance, through it
away and then throw it right now back to Jacob Walmsley.
(35:03):
So back to back turnovers. Tiger's Valley has the ball again.
Here's Alex Scott left corner, furry up, no good rebound,
fought for and controlled by the Irish. That's six rebounds
for Notre Dame. Giovanni Manacchi pushes it on the right
side to Garnick to posey back to Garnic. They play
with it out high left side Bombardier. They work it underneath.
(35:26):
Here's Helming drives in Jacob Walmsley lock the shot. Rebound
comes down to the Irish. Another rebound. They work at
him to Garnic. Garnick working against Aiden Ferris high off
the glass. It will not go and the rebound pulled
down by the Bulldogs. Tiger's Valley's Adam woods into the
(35:46):
front court. He's doubled up there. He's in trouble trying
to find Alex Scott. He does find him now they
work it to Aiden Ferris, Farris cross court pass Kenda
Armstrong three on the way in and out. Tough luck
miss rebound, tipped around, tipped around, out of bound snow
It's saved inbounds by the Irish. We're coming the other way.
Here's a half court shot up and no good for
(36:08):
Isaiah Garnick. At the end of the first quarter, it's
eight to five Tiger's Valley. We're back in sixty seconds
on ninety four point seven. W elk at my age.
Speaker 19 (36:17):
I know what's worth worrying about and what's not. And
that perspective makes enjoying life easier. But getting up and
around now that's not so easy.

Power tools and even gutters. Make short work of getting
things done around your house or farm with help from
(37:10):
Leggot Supply in Mill Creek. And remember, if they ain't
got it, you don't need it.
Speaker 4 (37:16):
Your home.
Speaker 1 (37:17):
For Bulldog Sports ninety four point seven w.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
E LK back now Weber Womsley Court in Mill Creek,
Greg White Dmanuel Smith. Here court side. It's eight to
five Tigers Valley. Neither team shooting very well. Notre Dame
one out of nine from three point range, Tiger's Valley
one out of four. Now on the other side, they
work it down to Aid and Ferris. He goes to
the basket, he has his shot blocked and the rebound
comes down to the Irish Giovanni Manacci into the front court,
(37:44):
comes to the near side to Jake Quinlin. Just into
the ballgame. He'll handle the point out front. He's a
good shooter. Watched him in the JV contest. Cross court
pass to Domenico Manacci. They go to Garnic. He floats
it up. It will not fall for him. Rolled in
and out rebound to Tiger's Valley. Isaiah Ian Harris rather
(38:06):
into the front court. Here's Adam Wood stops and pops fifteen.
Speaker 18 (38:09):
Yes, that's the shot you have to take here from
Tiger's Valley, get away from a three point line, get
inside attack the rim.
Speaker 3 (38:16):
Adam Woods just drove in, hit the foul line, stopped
it and popped it Irish with the basketball, they throwed
it underneath and Jacob Walmsley pokes it away. It is
a turnover and then a foul committed. I think more
of a frustration foul there. Notre Dame as Quinlan a
little bit upset because he had the ball and Walmsley
just knocked it away from him.
Speaker 18 (38:36):
Absolutely have to stayway from those frustration fowls as well,
because those will add up quickly.
Speaker 3 (38:42):
Seven o seven to go in the second quarter. It
is ten to five Tiger's Valley, low scoring contest up
in Clarksburg almost two weeks ago, forty nine to twenty
eight to score there. Here it's ten to five. Here
is a three banked it in Alex Scott. The bank's
open late on a Friday night.
Speaker 18 (39:02):
Yes it was, and that's a good look there by
Scott Waiting knock that down for the Bulldogs.
Speaker 3 (39:07):
Thirteen to five, Tigers Valley out to an eight point lead.
Irish having trouble at this juncture finding the basket. We
don't expect that to last. On the near side, they
work with it to Quentland. Quinland dribbling the ball around,
he is grabbed and fouled. Alex Scott picks up the
foul number one on him, first team foul of the quarter.
Did it take you a long time to adjust to
(39:29):
the foul thing? That the way they're doing it now?
It used to be you know, seven and the one
and one and all that. Now it's five fouls per quarter.
Speaker 4 (39:34):
Yes, still having a hard time of justin Yeah, sure,
I like it. Yeah, it's like two years right, yes, yeah.
Speaker 3 (39:39):
Now on the other side, the ball dribbled around by
Giovanni Manachi poked away by the way. The Manachi brothers
dad is the scorekeeper. He and I were talking before
the game, super nice man, and he sent out our
website to all his friends and family. We got people
listening to, like in California. Oh so we're famous right now? Yeah,
so don't mess up all right? No pressure, Yeah, no
(40:00):
pressure add all So six twenty seven to go, by
the way. With the ball knocked around, I want to
wish everybody a happy Valentine's Day. My wife Diana, Happy
Valentine's Day to her. And they're having family dinner tonight.
So all the grandkids, Mason, Grayson, Harper, Kennedy, they're all
tuned in.
Speaker 4 (40:18):
For a few minutes. The question is what kind of
gift did you get?
Speaker 3 (40:21):
Well, she's married to me, what else could you want?
Jay quinnlan on the on the miss rebound the Tiger's Valley.
Alex Scott takes it coast to coast, he lays it in,
he scores and he's found.
Speaker 18 (40:34):
Sorry what Alex Scott's having a nice first half for
Tiger's Valley.
Speaker 3 (40:38):
Coach Walmsley had to come in as you got Parker
Bell and Avery rous Nagle in foul trouble, so the
land there by Alex Scott played very very well. Domenico
Minachi called on the foul and Alex Scott converts on
the bonus. It's now all of a sudden, a three
point lead has ballooned out to sixteen five. Happy for
(41:01):
coach Walmsley in Bunce working with it. Here on the
near side is Geovanni Manachi for the Irish. They work
it to Ramsey into the ballgame. Tried to go underneath.
The ball goes out of bounds looking for helmet underneath
and he can't get it to go. It is turnover
number seven against Notre Dame.
Speaker 4 (41:22):
That's the right I do.
Speaker 18 (41:23):
If I'm in the Irish, I want to go to
the big fellow down low, let him work the block.
Speaker 3 (41:27):
And try to get Walmsley in foul. Trouble with Kaden Moore. Absolutely,
but Walmsley playing smart so far. Now on the other side,
here's Ian Harris. He caught them napping. Ian Harris went
right down the middle, caught Notre Dame napping and just
drove it right to the basket and a time out
on the court. Eighteen to five, Tigers Valley on top.
(41:49):
We're back in thirty seconds on ninety four point seven.
W Elk, it's a meltdown.
Speaker 21 (41:55):
That performance a price meltdown both Elkins and weston low
financial rates and big rebates, and there's transparent pricing in
the financial department too. Service even gives you ten percent
off when you mentioned this. Air and Performance will donate
one hundred dollars to the Tigers Valley to a knighted Way.
Speaker 3 (42:12):
With every vehicle purchase in February. If you just got
a sweetheart of a deal. You've been the truck country.
Speaker 17 (42:19):
Save every days seven.
Speaker 1 (42:25):
John Ellison has thirty minute music marathons every weeknight. On
ninety four point seven, w Elk.
Speaker 3 (42:34):
Jared West, very frustrated with his team, takes a time out.
Turnovers and rough shooting has allowed Tiger's Valley to take
what was an eight to five lead and go on
a ten oh run.
Speaker 18 (42:47):
Absolutely, and you're struggling offensively, but you cannot struggle defensively.
So if you're going to do anything on the court,
you've better make sure you're playing defense.
Speaker 4 (42:56):
Coach West, Lillip he'll upset because of that.
Speaker 18 (42:59):
You know it easy as you land to the basket
there for Tiger's Valley on a couple occasions.
Speaker 3 (43:04):
Now they are taking advantage of it. So Nea Meyer,
Ramsey into the ball game along with Giovanni, manacchi Helmick,
Dominico Manacci and Bombadier. That's your five on the court
for the Irish ball again. Swatted away Lee pass out ahead,
Alex Scott, touch past Ian Harrison. He missed the snowbird.
Speaker 4 (43:26):
Great pass by Scott, just couldn't finish for Harris.
Speaker 3 (43:29):
Miss the layup, got a little too quickly moving. Now
they work it underneath the helmet, guarded there by Walmsley.
They dished the ball off to Ramsey. They kick it
back outside. Irish got to reset the offense Tiger's valley
with Ferris and Walmsley not giving up much on the inside.
Ball almost taken away from Ramsey again, he has to
(43:50):
run it down. He gets it out to Dominico Manacci,
bounced past Ramsey, poked away back to Minachi, Bombadier on
the left side to the foul line, firing it up
in and out. It is a tough luck. Miss by Ramsey,
rebound knocked out of bounds by Jacob Walmsley. It will
(44:11):
stay with the Irish.
Speaker 18 (44:13):
Well, the Irish were having a very difficult time trying
to find some offense and trying to get into their
offensive sets. Everything's being ran about thirty feet from the basket.
That's not going to get it done.
Speaker 3 (44:23):
Yeah, they're keep looking inside. There's just not there or
much there. You've got Ferris and Walmsley kind of packing
it in under the basket. Now on the other side,
here's Giovanni Minachi, good ballplayer there. He drives in from twelve,
just floats it up four thirty five to go in
the opening half, it's eighteen to seven. Tiger's Valley on top.
Adam Woods has it between the circles for the Bulldogs.
(44:45):
Grimble in the corner goes to Ferris at the foul line,
looking underneath. He'll drive in, float it up and he's
gonna be fouled. I don't think he ever really thought
he was gonna make that, but he knew he wanted
the foul against Brayden Helmick and he got it. That's
number two on the man for the Irish.
Speaker 18 (45:01):
Smart basketball attack the rim. You're getting the foul calls.
Put yourself to the line. You try to increase this lead.
Speaker 3 (45:08):
Aiden Ferris, the junior of fifty percent free throw shooter
on the season, puts the first one up too strong
off the back of the iron, four twenty two to go,
eighteen to seven, Tiger's Valley leading. Here in the second
quarter in Mill Creek, Ferris three dribbles as the basket
puts the shot up side of the iron. No good
(45:29):
missed them both and the Irish pulled down the rebound
into the front court comes Giovanni Manacci. He just drives
in with the floater shot is up. No good, but
he is going to get two free throws. Foul is
going to be called on. Looks like Aiden Ferris number
one on him, thirdeen foul.
Speaker 4 (45:51):
Good take by Minacci.
Speaker 3 (45:55):
Good shooter both Giovanni and Domenico as the first free
throw up and good. He'll get another one ten point
lead for Tigers Valley eighteen to eight to very frenetic
pace here tonight. I mean it's just kind of up
and down and both teams pressing, and it's crazy quick
pace on a small court. Yeah. Always second free throw
(46:16):
is good. Tiger's valley breaks the pressure. They get it
to Aiden Ferris. He floats it to Alex Scott. Alex
Scott caught off on a double team, goes to Walmsley
out high Harris free. No, but he's fouled on a three.
Chared West is losing his mind right now. Is Garnic
jumped up and hit Ian Harris as he attempted to three.
(46:37):
The shot was no good, but he will get three
free ones at the charity stripe. A fifty three percent
free throw shooter misses the first one.
Speaker 18 (46:47):
Well, West has every rate to be upset. That's a
bad foul. You never want to shoot or never want
to file a three point shooter.
Speaker 3 (46:55):
Yeah, he he left his feet and you know you
just you don't ever want to leave your feet. Second
one is good for Harris nineteen to nine leads days
at ten for the Bulldogs. Harris will get another one.
Aiden Ferris, Jacob Walmsley, Ian Harris at the free throw line,
rimmed it in and out, no good rebound, tipped around,
tip back into the hands of Notre Dame. They've got
(47:16):
eleven boards here tonight. Giovanni Manacchi drives down the lane,
floats up the shot, kind of throws it over the basket. No,
and a fouls called on Brayden Helmet for pushing it
down Alex Scott. That is three fouls against the big
guy for Notre Dame.
Speaker 18 (47:34):
Coach Quest not happy, but that was a great call
as HEMI did extend that forearm to try to push
the Tiger valley defender away.
Speaker 4 (47:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (47:42):
Now they will bring in Nicholas Monroe. And by the way,
that was the fifth team foul of the quarters. And
now we walk to the other side and Aidan Ferris,
who is ozo if two at the charity stripe, will
make his way back and I apologize I thought he
knocked down Alex Scott because he had Scott Ferris in
the same area, and the foul actually or the free
(48:04):
throw is actually granted to Aiden Ferris. Free throw in
front of the iron.
Speaker 4 (48:08):
No too much weight room for that young man.
Speaker 3 (48:11):
Yeah, yeah, he's the tight end on the football team.
Speaker 4 (48:15):
It is good one. He's grown over the years, that's
for sure. Just a junior.
Speaker 3 (48:20):
I would imagine he'll be in the middle for this
Bulldog basketball team next year.
Speaker 4 (48:23):
It's up and.
Speaker 3 (48:24):
Good, twenty to nine, eleven point lead for Tiger's Valley,
three forty five to go in the opening half. Here's
Giovanni Manacchi drives down the left side of the lane.
Shot is up, rolled in and out again. No good
for Manachi. They're getting good looks driving to the basket.
Just won't drop.
Speaker 18 (48:44):
Yeah, the middle's open. They have to take advantage. Just
have to get the bottom, find the right find room there.
Speaker 3 (48:51):
Adam Woods has it for Tiger's Valley. He drives in,
tries to float in underneath looking for Aidan Ferris, and
threw it over his head into the hands of the Irish.
It is a turnover. Giovanni Minacchi has it. Works against
Ian Harris cross court pass to Garnick working underneath him,
and Roe working against Ferris. Back out. Here's Domnico Manachi
(49:12):
three up, no good, chase down his own rebound, drives in,
floats it up, it won't go, and the rebound comes
down to Tiger's valley. It's Alex Scott. He has the
ball poked away from behind. So really, last couple of
trips down the court, it's almost like Giovanni Minachi has
decided I'm gonna score.
Speaker 4 (49:32):
Well, He's found the opening in that Tiger Valley defense.
Speaker 3 (49:34):
So they're just bouncing inside of the rim and falling out.
That's happened like three times. It's crazy they are.
Speaker 18 (49:40):
And I'm kind of surprise that Tiger's valley hasn't adjusted
it to that.
Speaker 3 (49:44):
In bounce play for Tiger's valley comes into Kendall Armstrong
back into the game to Alex Scott on the left wing,
floats it too, Aiden Ferris top of the key, back
to Ian Harris. Harris has it in the corner to
Armstrong do it away again underneath another turnover, in this
time Jacob Walmsley trying to get the ball away from
Monroe and he commits the fowl. That's four team fouls,
(50:08):
so that's two trips in the last couple of times.
Down here that Tiger's Valley's tried to work it inside
and they're throwing it over the head of the intended recipient.
Speaker 4 (50:15):
It's a good idea. Got a bounce pass.
Speaker 3 (50:20):
Two thirty five to go in the opening half. Notre
Dame thowes the ball almost the way. Jacob Walmsley had
it for a minute, then he lost it. Here's Bombader
left wing three up, no rebound skye for ripped down
by Jacob Walmsley, gets it into the hands of kend
Al Armstrong for Tiger's Valley bulldogs working with it, work
it underneath till Walmsley strong.
Speaker 4 (50:40):
To the basket.
Speaker 3 (50:41):
He can't get it to go, got his own rebound
and then a fowl. And they called a fowl on Walmsley,
I think for going over the back of Nicholas Mondrow.
Speaker 4 (50:48):
No check me.
Speaker 3 (50:49):
They called that on Aiden Ferris number two on Ferris
rebounding pretty even right now on officially thirteen to eleven
favor of the Irish. The foul on Farris will have
us walk the other way and Nicholas Monroe scoreless tonight
has two free throws.
Speaker 4 (51:09):
So what's your thought on the new fouls? Like, do
you like this the five fouls? Yeah, we were kind of
talking about that a minute ago.
Speaker 3 (51:16):
I think it speeds the game up. And that's okay,
missed the first one. You know, before you had seven fouls,
you always had a lot of fouls to give, usually
in a fairly tight ball game. Now it's you know,
five fouls and got to make it happen absolutely all right.
So Jacob Walmsley needs a breather. He comes to the bench.
(51:38):
You've got Avery Rowse Spanagle, Adam Woods, Kendall Armstrong, Aiden Ferris,
and Alex Scott on the court for Tigers Valley, and
on the rebound, Cayden Posey goes up over the back
of Avery Rawls Spanagle. So we'll go the other way.
Speaker 18 (51:52):
I was a good box out there by Penogle, something
that's almost a lost art and basketball.
Speaker 4 (51:57):
Now you don't see the box out the way that
it used to be the box I.
Speaker 3 (52:00):
Think, and this is not on any particular team, but
I don't think very many teams spend a lot of
time on free throws. It's a lost start, and you
know you get in a tight ball game, you need
good free throw shooters. First one for spinagle up and
no good. So again Tiger's valley right now, eleven shots
(52:22):
at the free throw line or ten shots getting ready
for number eleven. They've made four.
Speaker 4 (52:28):
It's not a good percentage.
Speaker 3 (52:29):
No second one up bounces off the back of the iron.
No good missed them both. It's twenty to nine. Tiger's
valley on top, Irish with the basketball. Two minutes to go.
Unti'll have time. Garneck works with it in the corner
to posey. They go underneath them and Roe and aid
and Ferris tried to go through Monroe to get the
steel and unfortunately he just picked up foul number three.
(52:52):
And that hurts Tom Walmsley squad because again Caden Moore
out of the game. So really your only other big
outside of Jacob Walmsley is eight and fair great.
Speaker 4 (53:01):
Yeah, you're gonna have to play smart basketball if you're
aiding Monroe free throw.
Speaker 3 (53:05):
Got it, So Walmsley a short rest on the bench,
about a half a bottle of Gay Raid, and he's
back in twenty to ten. After the free throw, vibmon Roe,
he's got his second one on the way it is
up and he switched.
Speaker 4 (53:22):
It in.
Speaker 3 (53:26):
Twenty to eleven, nine point lead for Tigers Valley. Alex
Gott wide open three right corner, won't go. Walmsley with
the rebound under the basket.
Speaker 4 (53:34):
Got its thinking.
Speaker 3 (53:35):
Balmsey's the man. Yeah, he that shot had to think
about whether it was gonna fall for him or not,
though it rolled around for a while. Twenty two to eleven.
Now on the other side, Giovanni Minacci working with the
basketball Kenda. Armstrong a little too aggressive on defense, and
you know, Tom Walmsley told me earlier in the season that,
you know, Armstrong obviously a very good three point shooter,
(53:57):

Speaker 3 (54:12):

We're approaching halftime. Got a time out on the court.

Tiger's Valley leads twenty two to thirteen, one minute forty
one seconds to go here until halftime. Bulldog's trying to
get it in. They work it in to Adam Woods
into the front court, to Walmsley over on the left side,
back to Woods in the corner to Alex Scott. They've
got him pinned in back there and he is going
to be grabbed and fouled by Caden Posey, and I
(55:34):
don't think Posey meant to do that. He was kind
of extending the arm and then when Scott went to
move it got pinned.
Speaker 4 (55:43):
Absolutely.
Speaker 18 (55:44):
You see in the Irish out of position quite a
few times on defense, and that's what's causing a lot
of these files.
Speaker 3 (55:51):
First free throw by Scott is up and good. Alex
Scott on the season of fifty percent free throw shooter.
Right now he's two for two with the third one coming.
It is up and rolled around and fell. He's got
eight points here tonight it's twenty four to thirteen and
eleven point lead. Four Tiger's Valley in the corner. Here
(56:15):
is a three up for the Irish and no good
rebound pulled down by Notre Dame. It comes out to
Domino Dominico Bombedier or excuse me, Dominico Manachi. He fires
up the three. It won't go. Tiger's Valley with the
rebound and the basketball to Adam Woods to Ken del
Armstrong left wing float up from about fourteen. It will
(56:38):
not go rebound knocked out of bounds to the Irish,
so Ken de Armstrong struggling from the floor tonight. Normally
a very good shooter, but he has struggled by the way.
That three point shot by Jonah Kozi Dar and I
hope I'm pronouncing that right?
Speaker 4 (56:55):
You do the better?
Speaker 3 (56:56):
Know what have ko syd a r The three for
him was no good? Twenty four to thirteen. It's an
eleven point lead for Tiger's Valley. Now driving in. Nice
shot is Isaiah Garnick as he floats it in from ten.
It's twenty four to fifteen. Lead is at nine for
the Bulldogs.
Speaker 4 (57:15):
Lead.
Speaker 3 (57:15):
Pass out ahead. They work it underneath the walmsley a
little too high. The ball swatted and stolen away by
the Irish. They work it underneath out high. Here's Domenico
Manachi for three. Any knocks of down.
Speaker 4 (57:28):
All of a sudden, the Irish have found their rhythm
on offense.
Speaker 3 (57:32):
Yeah you knew, Yeah, you knew. The shooting struggles weren't
going to continue with this team. Now on the other side,
here's Adam Woods. Lost his balance, fell down on the
ball to Kazi Dar and it goes out of bounds
off of him. It stays with Tiger's Valley with eight
seconds to go, Tiger's Valley will inbound, leading it by six.
(57:54):
Alex Scott smacks the basketball, looking looking, comes into Kenda
Armshaw quick release shot up and no good for Armstrong
rebound to the Irish. Here's Giovanni Manachi. It's up, it
is no good and we are at halftime. It is
(58:14):
Tiger's Valley twenty four Harksburg Notre Dame eighteen will step
away for two minutes, come back with the halftime show

Dame has kind of found their range.

Speaker 23 (01:02:55):
Our message to them is it's February and we're playing
for something, and you know there's a lot of teams
that aren't there right now. You know, they just got
their conference tournament left to try to get there. But
that's not the case with us. But we have to
do our part.
Speaker 3 (01:03:08):
We have to go win games.
Speaker 23 (01:03:09):
And they understand that, and we understand that as a

thing that does matter is you've got to find ways
to continue to get wins.

weekday mornings six to ten on ninety four point seven
w ELK.
Speaker 3 (01:06:44):
Halftime Here in Mill Creek, Greg White and Emmanuel Smith
Tiger's Valley with a twenty four to eighteen lead, and
we take a look at the numbers. First of all,
for Notre Dame. Jared West, I know as a coach,
is not happy with the numbers. They are five out
of twenty nine from the floor including two out of
(01:07:04):
fourteen from three point range. Right now, Notre Dame shooting
seventeen percent from the floor, bright spots six out of eight,
seventy five percent from the free throw line. Led in
scoring by Giovanni Minacci and Domenico Manachi, both with six
points each. Monroe, Helmic and Garnick have two points each.
So I think if your Notre Dame and head coach
(01:07:24):
Jared West, you've got to find a way to get
those rock solid shops.
Speaker 18 (01:07:29):
Get away from the three point line, you know again,
continue to do what Minacci did there in the second quarter,
get inside the painted area. Try to get those seventeen
to you know, twelve to seventeen foot jumpers to go down.
Speaker 4 (01:07:41):
But he's going to need some help.
Speaker 10 (01:07:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:07:43):
Indeed, Now for Tigers Valley, they're not shooting terribly, but
it could be better. They're eight out of twenty from
the floor, that's forty percent, two out of seven from
three point range, six out of thirteen at the free
throw line. They're really struggling at the line tonight that
end scoring by Jacob wom Or check me, Alex Scott
with aid. Jacob Walmsley has seven, Parker Bell and in
(01:08:06):
Harris with three apiece, Adam Woods with one or with two.
Aiden Ferris has a point, rebounds Tiger's valley. On the
down side of that, Notre Dame's leading the rebounding sixteen
to thirteen, eight turnovers for the Irish, nine for Tiger's valley.
(01:08:26):
We're underway here in the third quarter. The Irish now
working at the basket to our right. They trail in
this one by six, both teams going with their starters.
They work it in the corner. The ball swatted away,
swatted away, a tie up, and the game opened on
a tie up. It opened up again as they got
Dominico Manachi pinned up in the corner. Possession arrow and
(01:08:50):
its turnover number nine. Full court pressure that two two
one by Notre Dame and Parker belt breaks it comes
into the front court all the way under the basket,
works it to Walmsley. Walmsley working hard, fights and puts
it in. You know you said it earlier. Jacob Walmsley's
the man when he gets under the basket. The man child,
(01:09:12):
big kid, strong, six foot three, twenty six eighteen extends
the lead out to eight. Notre Dame though you know
they're not gonna go away. Monroe has it underneath out
hide a bombed deer top of the key, right side
to Dominico Minacci. He wants a three. Another tough luck
miss for the Irish rebound. Pulled down it by Tiger's valley.
(01:09:36):
Kenda Armstrong caught it, thought about a three, changed his mind,
worked it underneath the Walmsley. Walmsley dribbled the basketball and
they took it away from him. Can't put it on
the floor under their basket.
Speaker 18 (01:09:47):
That and I'm watching him bring the ball down every
time he keeps at the ball. He's bringing the ball
down below his waist.
Speaker 3 (01:09:52):
And Notre Dame's picked up on that. Now they work
it to Monroe.
Speaker 4 (01:09:55):
He's in the lane.
Speaker 3 (01:09:56):
He fires it up and more tough luck misses. It
bounced off the back of the rim straight up and
fell off to the side Tiger's valley. With the rebound,
they have the basketball and the twenty six to eighteen lead.
Here in the third quarter. Now here's Ian Harris from
twelve side of the iron. No good. Walmsley with the rebound,
and East fouled.
Speaker 4 (01:10:16):
And they got the foul. Call it again.
Speaker 18 (01:10:18):
Jacob Walmsley, the second biggest man on the court. He's
bringing that ball way too low. He needs to keep
that above his waist and go right at the rim. Now, well,
they are doubling him up Helmick and Monroe.
Speaker 3 (01:10:30):
When he catches the ball underneath Man, they are banging
him hard under the basket. Here we go, now in bounds.
Play comes to Walmsley on the wing. Now he goes
back underneath, gets it to Parker Bell. Parker Bell calls
for a screen, gets it, kicks it over to Ian
Harris left wing. Harris spin move, bounce past to Walmsley.
Walmsley underneath again, doubled up, grabbed and fouled. I think
(01:10:51):
that's number two on Giovanni Manachi it is. Indeed, he
had no fouls in the first half. Now we've played
almost two minutes, he's got two.
Speaker 18 (01:11:02):
Well, they're noticing that Wamsey's bringing the ball down. They're
trying to attack the basketball to create a turnover. However,
the referees are calling those two tough fowls there.
Speaker 3 (01:11:11):
Parker Bell has it, quick pass underneath Walmsley, strong in
the basket. He caught it and went to the rim,
and he got it.
Speaker 4 (01:11:19):
That's what he needs to do.
Speaker 3 (01:11:20):
Eleven points for Walmsley takes the lead for Tigers. Valley
back out to ten. Giovanni Manacci into the front court
working with it, tried to go underneath the ball is
kicked by Jacob Walmsley working against Bombadier. Tom Walmsley is
not a fan of Jacob Walmsley being out in the corner.
Speaker 4 (01:11:39):
He wants him on the block. Makes sense to me
where i'd be.
Speaker 3 (01:11:45):
Bombadier looks to bring it in for the Irish looking
looking looking comes way out high to Giovanni Manachi Manacchi
working against Parker Bell right wing to Dominico Manacchi looking inside.
They go to him and Row tried to float it
underneath in the ball taken away. They tried to go
to helmet with it. Jacob Walmsley intercepts the pass steals
it away. Here's Tiger's valley on offense. Ian Harris drives
(01:12:09):
in with the runner. It won't go rebound, knocked out
of bounds and it stays with Tiger's valley. Bulldogs reset
the offense. Harris wants a thirty side of the iron.
No good this time. It goes down to the Irish.
Notre Dame trailing by ten and Ian Harris grabbed Giovanni
(01:12:29):
Minacci Ian Harris's first foul, So that's good, but not
a good foul. Manachi was gonna split a double team.
He did, but he would have run into Jacob Walmsley.
There's about an eight to nine inch hike difference there.
Speaker 4 (01:12:43):
This there is.
Speaker 3 (01:12:48):
Twenty eight to eighteen. Five minutes to go, third quarter,
Tiger's valley in the lee Notre Dame with the basketball
Irish working on the right side to Dominico Manachi.
Speaker 4 (01:12:58):
They work it in the corner to Garneck.
Speaker 3 (01:13:01):
Garneck comes back out high to Manachi to Giovanni Manacchi.
Now between the circles, drives down, cut off there. Now
he'll reverse direction, drive in, float it up in the
middle of the lane. It will not go. Parker Bell
pulls down the rebound, gets it to Avery Rausepinagal to
Bell wide open, top of the key.
Speaker 21 (01:13:20):
Three.
Speaker 18 (01:13:20):
Yes, can't leave that young man wide open. That's the
best look he's had all night, and he drilled it thirty.
Speaker 3 (01:13:27):
One point eighteen. Parker Bell picks up his sixth point
and Tiger's Valley's lead is at thirteen. Giovanni Manacchi to
Garnet right winging to Bombadier underneath the helmet. Helmet got inside.
Quick move to the basket. Nice move by Helmet and
he lays it in around Walmsley.
Speaker 18 (01:13:45):
The Irish need to continue to feed the big man,
play a little two man game with him with Helmic
and Manacchi.
Speaker 3 (01:13:52):
Now on the other side, Ian Harris works it underneath
the Walmsley. Walmsley has the ball swatted away. It is
a turnover. Helmick took it away from him and on
the other side, I think they just called Ian Harris
for the foul they did. Ian Harris, his aggressiveness in
trying to get the ball away is getting him into
some trouble. Right now, two quick fouls, the buzzer sounds.
(01:14:15):
He's on his way to the bench. Adam Woods back in.
Woods played pretty good in the first half.
Speaker 4 (01:14:19):
Gol Minacci has another gear.
Speaker 18 (01:14:20):
He is very very quick with the basketball and it's
very tough for these Tigers Valley defenders to stay with.
Speaker 3 (01:14:26):
Him working it on the right side. They left Garnic
wide open for a three and he made him pay
for it. Isaiah Garnet hits the three. It's thirty one,
twenty three, Tigers Valley in the lead. They have the
ball Avery rals Monagal drives in, floats it up from
eight and he scores thirty three to twenty three. Leads
(01:14:46):
at ten for the Bulldogs. Bounce pass on the left
side to Garnic. Garnic working against the double team to Giovanni.
Minacci pulls the trigger on a three. It will not
go high. Rebound comes out to the Irish. They'll reset
the offense. They're working back out to Giovanni. Manacci works
around the screen, drives in, puts the shot.
Speaker 4 (01:15:06):
Up in and out.
Speaker 3 (01:15:07):
Another tough luck miss for Manachi and the rebound pulled
down by Walmsley of Tiger's Valley.
Speaker 4 (01:15:15):
Just won't go down.
Speaker 3 (01:15:17):
Now they work it underneath Walmsley working against Helmick again.
They have found something they like underneath. Now Helmick has
three fouls that he's got to be careful of. Tom
Walmsley recognize that keeps working it into Jacob absolutely right side.
Here are the Irish working with it. They go to
Helmick reverse layup under the basket. He made a quick move.
(01:15:39):
Nice move by Braiden Helmick and he is fouled by
Jacob Walmsley number two on the big man for the
Bulldogs and Braiden Helmick at the line for the free shot.
Speaker 4 (01:15:50):
Well, this second half is going to be the battle
of the big Man.
Speaker 3 (01:15:52):
It appears for Boatsiers leads at ten for Tiger's valley.
Free throw up leads, stays at ten. Walmsley pulls down
the rebound for Tiger's Valley. Thirty five twenty five, Bulldogs
on top. Here's Ian hare No, Adam Woods driving all
the way around and they tried to hit him against.
He was gonna try to go all the way under
the basket and Dominico Minachi didn't want him to and
(01:16:15):
accidentally got him with the hipcheck.
Speaker 4 (01:16:18):
Good explanation.
Speaker 3 (01:16:21):
You think after thirty five years I figure out how
to do this. Thirty five twenty five They work it
into Walmsley again with a little hook shot. Oh tough
luck in and out rebound pulled down by a helmet
for the Irish ten point lead for Tigers Valley. They
left Garnic open again. He wanted the three, decided not
to take it, kicked it in the corner for a
three from Bombardier. It won't go rebound to the Bulldogs.
(01:16:44):
They set the offense Armstrong to Avery Rowles, Spinagle to
Adam Woods between the circles, bounce pass underneath. Here goes
Walmsley again, has his shot blocked out of bounds to
Tiger's valley.
Speaker 18 (01:16:57):
I like what Walmsley's doing down low. He got the
fundamentals as far as the footwork.
Speaker 4 (01:17:02):
Let's go right.
Speaker 18 (01:17:04):
He's struggling to coming left. He's got to be able
to be comfortable going both ways. Because he does and
gets the drop step, they can't stop him.
Speaker 4 (01:17:12):
Yeah. Our helmet got a good jump on that one.
Speaker 3 (01:17:14):
Those smacked it around, got the partial block and the
bulldog's retained possession and comes into Adam Woods between the circles,
went to the foul line. Didn't like it. Back to
Walmsley left side to Avery Rowse Spinagle working underneath again
till Walmsley went right, went back to the left and
helmet just picked up foul number four for the Irish.
(01:17:37):
Jacob Walmsley back at the line. He's got n't see
thirteen points tonight. I think you heard me. Well, you
do have some coaching experience, probably not with him. You
didn't coach him, did you?
Speaker 4 (01:17:54):
I did not?
Speaker 3 (01:17:54):
Okay, I know you coached Avery ral Spinagle when he
was younger, and a couple of these guys and fairs
free throw up in out and falls to the floor.
No good.
Speaker 18 (01:18:07):
Well, what I like with the big man is I
always want my big men to have fundamentals down low.
So you have to learn how to drop step both right,
both left, use the up and under. You can use
your repertoire, and you can do some amazing things down
there with his size.
Speaker 3 (01:18:19):
Well, and that's what Jacob Walmsley did. He went left,
spun back to the near side. Second free throw swish,
good free throw shooter. Walmsley a seventy two percent free
throw shooter. You neat your bigs, especially as much as
he gets fouled to shoot well from the free line. Absolutely,
oh good cut eleven point lead on the backside. You
(01:18:40):
saw it. Caden Posey snuck in on the backside. Now
on the other side, here's Walmsley. He got behind everybody
wide open and he laid it in. The biggest man
on the court lost back and forth. We go thirty
eight to twenty seven. Tiger's valley on top with ninety
seconds to go. In the third order, Dominico Manachi with
(01:19:02):
the basketball working with it top of the key to Garnick,
back to Manachi back to Garnick Posey waiting on it
in the corner, watched closely by Adam Woods. Garnic dribbles around,
hands it off to Giovanni Manachi, watched by Parker Bell.
Drives down the baseline, throws it up off glass and scores.
He's a tough guard, Jovanni Manachi is a tough guard.
(01:19:25):
Now on the other side, a little pressure, they get
it to Parker Bell. He splits a double team, floats
it out to Avery ralse Monagal deep left corner, three
side of the iron. Is no good for Adam Woods.
Rebound to Walmsley and he's foul. Yeah.
Speaker 18 (01:19:41):
Manachi's not happy. He feels that the big man, Jacob
Walmsley used that four him to shove off.
Speaker 4 (01:19:47):
However, call against the Irish.
Speaker 3 (01:19:50):
Yeah. Minachi argued for a minute, and then the official said,
you know your feet were moving, and that's what god him.
His feet were already moving, so when Walmsley's trying to
get position, and if his feet were stationary, they'd have
called that on the offensive side. But where his feet
were moving, I think that's what got him. So Walmsley
goes back to the line free throw switch.
Speaker 4 (01:20:14):
Pretty shot from the foul line.
Speaker 3 (01:20:16):
Forty eight seconds to go. Third quarter. It is a
ten point lead four Tigers Valley thirty nine to twenty nine.
Aiden Ferris up off the bench. He's going to go
in for Walmsley. Free throw up got them both. So
Jacob Walmsley now four out of five at the light.
Not at the line. Aiden Ferris into the ball game.
(01:20:37):
Gotta be careful with Ferris. He's got three fouls. Walmsley
on the bench.
Speaker 4 (01:20:41):
Let's see if the aversh attack.
Speaker 3 (01:20:44):
Here is Giovanni Manacci into the front court, drives in,
kicks it out. They left Garnic wide open again top
of the key and he got the roll. Another three
for Isaiah Garnack. It's forty to thirty two. Lead is
at eight with twenty nine seconds to go. Tiger's Valey
has the lead and the ball and it's poked away.
They turn it over driving in. Giovanni Manacci is styled
(01:21:07):
by Parker Bell.
Speaker 4 (01:21:08):
He'll go to the free throw line. That's another foul
on Bell. Coach Walmsey's looking at him. It's a young man.
Speaker 3 (01:21:14):
You have three. So the turnover really heard. They're trapping
at mid court and Tygrans Valley is pushing their way
to the sidelines. They need to stay in the middle
of that court.
Speaker 4 (01:21:23):
You have get away from those sidelines, stay away from
the corners.
Speaker 3 (01:21:26):
Minichie perfect at the free throw line, and he stays
that way. He's five out of five. He's got another
one student section over there trying to get him. You know,
I was talking earlier. The first game of the season
we did against Pendleton County is around Christmas time, Tigers
Valley student section saying Christmas carols at.
Speaker 4 (01:21:42):
The free throw shooters. It was hilarious. That's great, and
it worked.
Speaker 3 (01:21:46):
Because I think the opposing team ended up being like
nine out of nineteen forty to thirty four, back to
a six point lead. Now on the other side, here's
Adam Woods pounce past to eight and Ferris and he
lays it in going past there from Woods to Ferris,
good vision, forty two to thirty four, Irish trail. They
have the basketball with six seconds to go. Here's Giovanni
(01:22:06):
Manachi drives in, fires up a pass. Alex Scott tried
to grab the basketball and the official on the fire
side said, nope, you grab the player. It's first foul
on Woods, fifteen foul we're going to the free throw nine.
Manachi there is perfect at six for six. That's Giovanni Manacchi.
(01:22:27):
He's got ten points and he stays perfect, making eleven points.
Speaker 18 (01:22:30):
Well, these bulldog defenders are going to have to play
off Manachi a little bit. They're playing too close and
he's just too quick.
Speaker 3 (01:22:36):
Well, and here's the thing. I think they're kind of
worried that he's gonna drive it and kick it, but
he has not shown that at all, So I think
when he starts to drive, you pack it together absolutely
free throws up and good, you got three seconds to go.
Here's Perker Bell weaving fires it up.
Speaker 4 (01:22:49):
Good.
Speaker 3 (01:22:49):
If it goes in and out off the side of.
Speaker 4 (01:22:52):
The rim, no good.
Speaker 3 (01:22:53):
And we are at the end of the third quarter
forty two thirty six Tiger's Valley on top sixty seconds
on ninety four point seven.

Speaker 18 (01:24:20):
It is and you here Coach Walmsey during the time out,
talking to his guards saying, listen, we cannot let Manachi
beat us.
Speaker 3 (01:24:27):
Well, he has the basketball he's gonna drive in Parker
Bell Harassing switched off on two by Avery Raws Monaugle
they go to Garnic watched there by Parker Bell. He's
gonna drive in, kick it in the corner. Domenico Bombedier
three knocks it down. Here we go, Mom's away forty
two to thirty nine. Now on the other side, Parker
Bell has the ball taken away and then he is
(01:24:50):
pushed down. They extended the arm and oh my goodness,
what's a good call? Oh no, who did they call? Okay,
yeah they did. They called it against Posey. The official
pointed at the Tiger's Valley bridge. But it is bulldog basketball.
It goes against Posey.
Speaker 4 (01:25:07):
We've seen those forums extended quite a few times on
boat teams. Tonight.
Speaker 3 (01:25:11):
Here's Adam Woods for Tiger's Valley gets into the front court,
Giovanni Manacci intercepts it and then a foul is called
by Alex Scott. Alex Scott commits the foul. Manachi stole
the basketball away, and what was a big lead for
Tiger's Valley is down to a three point advantage.
Speaker 4 (01:25:34):
Now Scott's got three fouls.
Speaker 18 (01:25:35):
But I'll tell you what, that was probably a good
foul because when Manachi was on his way to the
basket for an easy two.
Speaker 3 (01:25:42):
Now here's Minachi works it in the corner three for
the tie. It is an air ball by Posey rebound,
pulled down by Tiger's valley. They get it into the
hands of Parker Bell. He works around a screen from
Ferris looks, comes to the near side to Alex Scott,
underneath to Adam Woods which ribbles it out, goes back
to Avery Ralspinagle to Parker Bell. Jacob Walmsley up off
(01:26:04):
the bench on the other side. It's Alex Scott. He'll
drive in bounce past to Farris Fara's herd of the
basket high off the glass. It will not go rebound,
pulled down by the Irish. They trail by three. Here
in the fourth quarter, six forty five to go and
Jared West wants a time out. Got a time out
on the court. We'll be back in thirty seconds on
(01:26:26):
ninety four point seven.

Greg White, Dmmanuel Smith. Here in Mill Creek, Tigers Valley
has a forty two to thirty nine lead over Clarksburg
Notre Dame Grand Mixed Master b brat Workman best producer
into business back at Master Control, and I'll tell you what.
We've been watching it, waiting on Notre Dame to kind
of find their rhythm. And right now they've found that
they took what was an eleven point lead and they've
(01:27:32):
cut it to three, and they have the.
Speaker 4 (01:27:33):
Ball, Yeah, Tiger's Valley out of their rhythm.
Speaker 18 (01:27:36):
They're making the Bulldogs play faster than they want to play,
which is creating the turnovers.
Speaker 3 (01:27:41):
Giovanni Manacci cuts to the right, kicks it in the
corner to Dominicobambadier to Posey on the left wing to
Garnic top of the key. They've got three point shooters
on the court for the Irish. Right now, ball stolen
away Avery Rouse Monagal with the steel took it away
at mid court to Walmsley back into the game, puts
the show up. Nobody's fouled.
Speaker 4 (01:28:03):
That's why he's back in the ball game. Feed the
big fellow.
Speaker 3 (01:28:07):
Vowl is gonna go against Garnic number two on him
second team foul and Walmsley has eighteen points on the night,
looking for a couple of more.
Speaker 18 (01:28:16):
If you're Tigers Valley, I would go to Jaco Walmsey
every time you got helmet dealt free throw up. Good
for the Irish.
Speaker 4 (01:28:23):
They're big fella.
Speaker 3 (01:28:24):
Yeah, he's got four fouls. Braden Helmick. You have to
wonder how long Jared West can leave him on the
bench if they keep working it underneath.
Speaker 18 (01:28:31):
It's tough right now. With six twenty four to go,
it's roulette at the moment, do word.
Speaker 4 (01:28:35):
Don't you?
Speaker 3 (01:28:36):
Walmsley hit the second free throw as well. Forty four
to thirty nine leads back out to five. Giovanni manacchi
In kicks it into the corner. So they were worried
about the drive and kick. They weren't doing it. Now,
that's what the Irish is doing. Drives and kicks left
winging three. Another airball for Posey rebound pulled down by
the Bulldogs into the front court is out of woods
(01:28:59):
quickly to the ram shot up off Glass cannot get
it to go. Smacked his own rebound, but he smacked
it into the hands of an ore Dame player. Giovanni
Manacchi as the basketball working with it works around the
high post right side. Here's Garnic dangerous from three, and
he just made him pay again.
Speaker 4 (01:29:18):
Yes he did. That's his second here in the second half.
Speaker 3 (01:29:21):
Three on the night. It's forty four, forty two. Tiger's
valley on top. Now, here's Parker Bell drives in. He
made the basket, but the official said he was found
on the floor. It won't count. He'll get two free throws.
Speaker 4 (01:29:33):
It's good call. Can't get the continuation there.
Speaker 3 (01:29:36):
Dominico Manachi picks up foul number three, and we just
answered the question how long can you leave Braden Helmet out?
Five minutes thirty five seconds in the game, he's back
in along with Bombader Monroe out, Posey out.
Speaker 4 (01:29:53):
Let's see if Walmsley attacks the big man now here
we go.
Speaker 3 (01:29:58):
Alex Scott looks, directs traffic, gets Parker Bell where he
wants him, throws it in. Bill, the sophomore getting his
first start tonight on the varsity, working with it in
the corner, drives the baseline. Shot is up, shot is
blocked by helmet. Rebound down. Here's the drive and the miss.
Giovanni Manachi missed another layup in and out rebound to
(01:30:21):
Tiger's valley pull dogs up by two. Alex Scott for
thirty in and out, no rebound, pulled down by the Irish.
We're coming the other way. Giovanni Minacchi floats it underneath
the Brandon Helmick. He lays it up. It's good and
he is fouled. It's a tide ball game. Notre Dame
has a chance to take their first lead of the night.
Speaker 18 (01:30:43):
What a pass by Giovanni Minacci to find helmt down low.
Speaker 3 (01:30:49):
And working against Avery ralse Monagal not Jacob Walmsley. Height difference.
Helmet can give the Irish the lead and he does.
Five forty four. Notre Tame on top. Five minutes to
go in the ballgame. Parker Bell has it for Tigers
Valley across the ten second line, and Tom Walmsley wants
a time out. He is not happy with what he
(01:31:11):
is seeing. Four fifty five to go in the ballgame,
forty five forty four, Notre Dame on top. We're back
in thirty seconds on ninety four point seven, Tell me,
do you elk?
Speaker 21 (01:31:22):

Speaker 3 (01:32:01):
Forty five forty four, Tigers Valley's lead crumbled away and
now they trail in this one by a point. And
Dmmanuel Smith, you know, we're kind of talking about it
during the break. I think if you're Tiger's Valley, you've
got to keep working it inside number one. You've got
Braden Helmick, who's got four fouls, so he's gonna be
extra careful. But Walmsley right now is your offense. He's
(01:32:23):
one hundred percent of your offense. I don't let anybody
else on the floor right now touch the ball. But
Jacob Walmsley, you've got to go inside. You have to
get him down on the block. Let him go to work.
Now on the other side, Tiger's Valley brings it in
Avery rals Monago has it in the front court, working
with it, dishes it off to Armstrong, Parker Bell top
of the key.
Speaker 4 (01:32:43):
Three.
Speaker 3 (01:32:43):
Yes, the works two Parker.
Speaker 4 (01:32:46):
Bell back.
Speaker 3 (01:32:49):
To back threes on offense, and he gives Tiger's Valley
the lead forty seven to forty five. Now here's Garnet.
Don't leave him open. They work it underneath. Jacob Walmsley
swats the ball away there, trying to work it inside
to Brayden Helmet. Well, you know, and right now you've
got an advantage because Walmsley's only got two fouls.
Speaker 18 (01:33:06):
Yes, and coach Darry West is losing his mind. And
I would do the exact same thing. You've got to
bounce past the ball.
Speaker 4 (01:33:12):
In the pink.
Speaker 3 (01:33:14):
Now the end bounced pass comes in. Here is a
thirty top of the key from Giovanni Minachi. He can't
get it to go. It goes to Dominico Manacchi. He
can't get it to go. It's tipped around, tipped around,
tipped around. It goes to the Irish. They will hang
on to it. So here we go again.
Speaker 4 (01:33:31):
Gotta have the ball Manachi's hand right now.
Speaker 3 (01:33:34):
Well, Giovanni Minacchi drives in and he is going to
be fouled on the floor on his way to the basket.
With four h nine to go, foul is called on
Avery Ralspinagle. That's number four on him.
Speaker 18 (01:33:48):
If I'm coach, west of the ball's number three's hens
the entire time.
Speaker 4 (01:33:51):
Either let him drive and take the shot, or let him.
Speaker 3 (01:33:54):
Dish Bombeddeer floats it into helmet in the corner to Garnick,
to Giovanni Manacchi right side, and they're working around. Here
is a three from the corner in and out. It
is no good for Garnic. Rebound comes down to Alex
Scott for the Bulldogs. He has it out front. Lazy
pass stolen away, intercepted by Garnic at mid court to
(01:34:17):
Dominico Manachi left wing to Giovanni Manachi. Three forty to
go in the ballgame forty seven forty five Tigers Valley
with a two point lead. Here is Manachi drives in
against Parker Bell and floats it up an end.
Speaker 18 (01:34:32):
That's exactly what you need to do with you there. Irish,
keep setting screens up top for Minachi. Let him get
to the rim.
Speaker 3 (01:34:37):
Full hoard man to man defense. Giovanni Manachi ran into Walmsley,
went to the floor. No foul call. Avery Ralph Monagle
bounced past Kendall Armstrong drives in up off the glass.
It will not go rebound, saved by the Irish. We're
coming the other way. Tie ballgame, approaching three minutes to
(01:34:59):
go in the this one, Glad you're along. It is
a good one forty seven forty seven our score. Notre
Dame with the ball helmet left wing, top of the
key to garn it right side to Bombader, quick pass over.
Here is a three. Dominico Minazi knocks down the three
(01:35:19):
and the Irish have a three point lead. Fifty to
forty seven. Timeout all the court and Notre Dame takes
the lead with two forty eight to go, We'll be

forty seven, Notre Dame takes the lead over Tigert's Valley.
They're getting the shots that they weren't having earlier.
Speaker 18 (01:36:20):
In the game, and they've got the lead now they
are Dominico with icewater in the veins, knocking down that three.
Speaker 3 (01:36:26):
Now here's Parker Bell runs the point for Tiger's Valley.
He's got to get it across the ten second line.
He does. Now he'll drive all the way under the basket,
all the way through. Kick it to Kendall Armstrong on
the right wing. Armstrong working comes to Alex Scott. Alex
Scott top of the key, kicks it Parker Bell right wing.
Another three.
Speaker 4 (01:36:44):
He got it.
Speaker 3 (01:36:47):
Parker Bell, the hero at Webster County, hit two free
throws to win it. He's got four three pointers in
this one to tie it up with two fifteen to go.
Speaker 4 (01:36:55):
Little man playing big right.
Speaker 3 (01:36:56):
Now, here's the Irish vombadier being harassed by Scott. They
come out high Domenico Manachi for three.
Speaker 4 (01:37:04):
No, they said it was a.
Speaker 18 (01:37:05):
Two foot was on the line, yes, stuff just side
a three point line. Nonetheless, another great shot there by Minacci.
Speaker 3 (01:37:12):
Now on the other side, Tiger's Valley almost loses if
they do lose at Parker Bell falling out of bounds.
Had to swat it to Kendle Armstrong. He was standing
too close to the baseline and goes out of bounds.
That's a turnover. Notre Dame takes it with a two
point lead and two minutes to go. We've got a
ball game here in the valley, fifty two to fifty.
(01:37:32):
Notre Dame in the lead with the basketball. Giovanni Minaji
working with it against Parker Bell, pushed past Braden Helmick.
He's way out high, tried to go underneath the Garnic ball.
They've got him trapped in the corner. It is a
tie up, possession arrow.
Speaker 4 (01:37:49):
To the Bulldogs. Coach West is upset.
Speaker 18 (01:37:52):
I don't like the fact that Helmick had the ball
way outside a three point line, too big.
Speaker 4 (01:37:56):
Get him on the block. Let the guard's handle out there.
Speaker 3 (01:38:01):
Came out to get it.
Speaker 26 (01:38:02):
Now.
Speaker 3 (01:38:02):
On the other side, here's Parker Bell working against the
double team. Left wing. Kendall Armstrong has it. They've got
him trapped there underneath Walmsley working hard to the basket.
It's up at ten.
Speaker 10 (01:38:12):
It's good.
Speaker 3 (01:38:14):
We're tied at fifty two. Ninety seconds to go. Irish
with the ball working to the right. Giovanni Manacci looking inside,
goes to Helmic They got him out high again about
sixteen feet away, working against Walmsley. Hands it to Domenico Manachi.
Manacchi being harassed by avery Ralse Monagle. Back to Giovanni
(01:38:36):
Manacchi between the circles. Parker Bell's watching him there, works
around the double team, floats it up from twelve. It
will not go rebound to Helmick. It won't go rebound
the Tiger's valley.
Speaker 4 (01:38:47):
Good defense by the Bulldogs. Oh.
Speaker 3 (01:38:49):
On the other side, it is a turnover. The ball
is thrown away Tiger's valley with another turnover.
Speaker 4 (01:38:55):
Ralse Bonogle was not expecting the passway right off his back.
Speaker 3 (01:38:59):
Tie ballgame, forty five seconds to go. Geovanni Manazzi drives in,
kicks it in the corner. Three for Bombitier, in and out.

fifty two. Our scorer, so d would put your coaching
hat on here. If you're Tiger's valley, you got thirty
six seconds tie ball game, Iris just missed a shot.
I would assume you work for the last shot.
Speaker 18 (01:40:22):
You absolutely work for the last shot. You put the
ball in your best ball but handler's hands. You work
the circle until you get Jacob Walmsey in a spot
where you need him down low. You feed him, You
let him get the basket and see if he can
get you an ind one.
Speaker 3 (01:40:37):
Man to man full court pressure by Notre Dame. They
get it to Parker Bell works around the screen, has
the ball poked away. He's got to get across that
ten second line. Working with it gets it to Kendall Armstrong.
They break the line. Armstrong has it, working with it
underneath to Walmsley working for the basket. Nowhere to go.
(01:40:58):
Puts it up. Shot is block in to the hands
of the Irish. They've got a chance to win it.
Giovanni Minacci has the basketball. Eleven seconds to go. They
worked it into Walmsley. He kept working, he kept working,
he kept working, and at the end he couldn't get
it to go.
Speaker 18 (01:41:15):
What a great defensive stand there by Braden Helmick again
playing in all kinds of powel trouble, and he stood
his ground and he created that.
Speaker 4 (01:41:24):
Oh he did. Now the Irish put the chance to win.
Speaker 3 (01:41:27):
Yeah, And I mean I think everybody knew. I think
it's a safe assumption that everybody in this building knew
that that was gonna be who they wanted to have
the ball as Walmsley. The defense by Notre Dame ramped
up here in the second half, full cord pressure. They're
not letting the three point shooters for Tiger's valley get opened.
On the other side. You've got eleven seconds to go.
(01:41:47):
You're gonna inbound it a quarter court your side of
the basketball.
Speaker 4 (01:41:50):
If you're Notre Dame. I would assume you want it
into the hands of Giovanni Manachi.
Speaker 18 (01:41:55):
It stays in the hands of Manacchi. You said a screen,
you said a double screen. You let him get to
the rim. See what he can do when you get
his ball game.
Speaker 3 (01:42:03):
So at this point, Notre Dame either wins it on
a last second shot or we're going to overtime.
Speaker 4 (01:42:09):
I mean, I'm having fun on a Friday night. I'm
fine with an extra few minutes.
Speaker 3 (01:42:12):
It's Valentine's dato. It is your wife's okay with you
be in here? Sure, let's go with the Does she
know you're here?
Speaker 4 (01:42:21):
She doesn't know I'm here, She doesn't know here. I
have a big day plan for her tomorrow. So y'all
on there for we're.
Speaker 3 (01:42:26):
Good, all right, Yeah, as long as you cover the weekend,
you're in good shape.
Speaker 4 (01:42:29):
We're good.
Speaker 3 (01:42:30):
Eleven point four to go in regulation, fifty two to
fifty two, the Irish of Notre Dame, out of Clarksburg
tide with the Tigers Valley Bulldogs here in Mill Creek
Bombedier to trigger it in quarter court, looking looking, looking,
brings it into Garnic at mid court ten seconds to go.
(01:42:52):
They get it into the hands of Giovanni Manachi underneath
the helmet. He floats it up over the rim now
but he is styled by Jacob Walmsley with three point
nine seconds to go.
Speaker 18 (01:43:04):
Oh my great pass by Givonni Minacci to find the
big fellow underneath the basket.
Speaker 4 (01:43:10):
Had a pretty good look at it.
Speaker 3 (01:43:13):
Helmic One out of two at the free throw line tonight,
the first one is up.
Speaker 4 (01:43:17):
It is good.
Speaker 3 (01:43:18):
Notre Dame has a one point lead and that is
a huge free throw for the Irish fifty three to
fifty two. And Jared West wants to take a time out,
so Tigers Valley's got two timeouts left. He here's the
question from a coaching standpoint. You got a one point lead,
(01:43:41):
do you have him miss it intentionally to get the
clock running?
Speaker 4 (01:43:48):
You know what, it's not a bad idea, and I
think you do. I think you miss intentionally.
Speaker 3 (01:43:53):
You send the other four to crash play volleyball and
hope that time you know, the clock expires, versus giving
Tigers Valley an opportunity to set up an offensive possession.
These two teams met back on February the fifth. Tiger's
Valley one forty nine to twenty eight. It looked like
(01:44:14):
it was going to be a runaway early on for
Tiger's valley, and I tell you what, they just the
Notre Dame team kept chipping away, chipping away, and right
now they have a one point lead, helmet at the line,
second free fo it's good. It is a two point
lead for the Irish of Notre Dame, and Tom Walmsley
wants to take a timeout. Notre Dame out of timeouts,
(01:44:36):
Tiger's valley has two left, so now you've got one left.
So I think again coaching standpoint here, I think, what
you do. They're gonna press, They're gonna pressure you on defives.
Get it in at least to mid court, take the
time at time out, at this time out, and then
now I think, you tell you're gonna have to take
(01:44:56):
it out of the hands of Jacob Walmsley. The three
play on the court right now. They just checked in
Alex Scott three point shooter. They've got Parker Bell three
point shooter. They've got Kendall Armstrong three point shooter. You know,
normally in these situations you talk about it and you're like, well,
they don't need to take a three at this juncture,
at this point in the game, Tiger's Valley, if you
(01:45:18):
get a wide open look, you can send it to overtime.
Speaker 4 (01:45:21):
But I think you need the three to win it.
You absolutely need to three to win it.
Speaker 18 (01:45:24):
And right now, if I'm Tiger's Valley, I'm trying to
find a way to get Parker Bell this last shot.
Speaker 3 (01:45:30):
Parker Bell has been hot tonight from the floor. He's
got four three pointers. Jared West wants his hand, wants
his players to have their hands up on defense. He's
already got his guys out on the floor. You've got Helmet, Giovanni, Manacchi, Domenico, Manachi, Bombader,
(01:45:52):
and Garnick on the court.
Speaker 18 (01:45:55):
You've got a one to three look one three one
look here from the Irish, it'ything.
Speaker 4 (01:46:00):
They can to keep everything in front of him.
Speaker 3 (01:46:02):
Avery Rausepnagle gets it in to Scott. Here is Kendal
Armstrong for the win. If he does not get it,
it does not go. The three falls out. Kendal Armstrong
with a running three pointer from the left wing, and
that is the ballgame. Notre Dame fought their way back
(01:46:24):
from eleven points down and the Irish take the win.
Here tonight over Tiger's Valley by a score of fifty
four to fifty two. We'll step away, come back with
postgame comments, statistics, and we'll get you back to music.
Tiger's Valley falls here tonight fifty four to fifty two.

Speaker 3 (01:49:24):
Lows here for Tiger's Valley tonight. They fall by two.
They led by as many as eleven points in the game,
and I'll tell you what Notre Dame just came fighting back.
My gosh, the second half for this Irish team, d'manuel.
They turned it up both sides of the ball offensively, defensively,
(01:49:45):
and they made it when they needed to.
Speaker 26 (01:49:47):
Well.
Speaker 4 (01:49:47):
Defense leaves the good offense.
Speaker 18 (01:49:49):
And not only that, they settled down in the second
half and they took what Tiger's valley gave them and
they capitalized.
Speaker 4 (01:49:55):
And that was the difference in the second half of
the ball game. It did again.
Speaker 3 (01:49:58):
They trailed by as many as eleven, the game came
back and got the win quickly. Let's get you inside
of the numbers for Notre Dame. Shot seventeen percent in
the first half for the game, thirty percent much better
shooting in the second half forour Jared West's team. Seventeen
out of fifty six from the floor, seven out of
twenty seven from three point range, thirteen out of sixteen
(01:50:20):
from the free throw line, shot an amazing eighty one
percent at destriit now. Rebounds were even twenty eight for
each team, eleven turnovers for the Irish, four steals for
Notre Dame, led in scoring by Giovanni Minacci and Dominico Minaci.
They had fourteen points a piece Braden Helmick and Isaiah
(01:50:42):
Garnick with eleven two points for Nicholas Monroe and Cayden
Posey for Tigers Valley. Thirty nine percent from the floor,
eighteen out of forty six, five out of fifteen from
three point range, eleven out of nineteen at the free
throw line again, twenty eight rebounds for the bull Seventeen turnovers,
(01:51:02):
a lot of those coming late in the game really
hurt them. Two steels and a block led in scoring
by Jacob Walmsley. He had twenty two points. Parker Bell
chipped in twelve eight points for Alex Scott did not
score in the second half. Ian Harris had three along
with Aiden Ferris's three, Adam Woods had two and Kendall
Armstrong played but just could not find a basket tonight.
(01:51:25):
So you get a little bit of a break for
Tigers Valley, but not much. They go down to Harmon
on Monday night. It is a makeup game from last week,
and then you've got a very good Dodd Reach County
team coming in here on Tuesday night, and then next
Friday you go to Pendleton County. It didn't get any easier.
Speaker 4 (01:51:45):
Not at all. And I think tonight was a big,
big loss for Tigers Valley. You just mentioned it.
Speaker 18 (01:51:49):
You've got Dodgers County down the stretch, You've got Tucker
County down the stretch, and you've got a South Harrison
team that's above five hundred right now. So right now,
it's all about momentum as you get ready to get
into the regional play and.
Speaker 4 (01:52:02):
You got to get hot right now to be able
to do some things in the tournament. And I lost,
like this could hurt, Yeah, indeed it can.
Speaker 3 (01:52:08):
But hey, congratulations to the Notre Dame team. They lost
last night. They lost to this team a couple of
weeks ago by twenty one points, came in here tonight
and took one away from the Bulldog. So that is
going to wrap it up. Thanks to head coach Jared
West from Notre Dame for providing us some information. Also,
as always, Principal Steve Walmsley, head coach Tom Walmsley, athletic
