Our pregame show continues here getting ready for the Pirates
of Paul Paul and Tigers Valley, joined now by Tom Walmsley,
the head coach of the Bulldogs. Go back a couple
of nights ago, go up to South Harrison and oh,
my goodness, did you hit a team that was on
fire from the floor.
Speaker 11 (04:52):
Oh, they shot very well, and we're kicking ourselves. We
didn't play well defensively. They were eleven for twenty three
from the three point line and many of those reguarded,
so they shot forty eight percent from the three. Anytime
you can shoot above thirty five, you're having a good day.
(05:13):
And uh, and we shot forty percent from three. We
thought we were doing pretty good. But it's a shame
you score seventy eight points in can't win.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
You know, one of the players that we've kind of
talked about a little bit and he's kind of been
up and down, but he's coming on strong here lately,
is Kendall Armstrong. It feels like, particularly even that South
Harrison game, he kind of found his range.
Speaker 11 (05:35):
Well, Kendall has always been a shooter, and I think
we talked about this in the previous show. The biggest
surprise with Kendall. He's been our defensive stopper. He's played
the best perimeter defense of anybody we've had, and he
usually draws the other team's best shooters, so and yet,
(05:56):
and we know he can always shoot the three, but
it's the mid range game that he's really picked up on.
And he had seventeen the other night, and I believe
I'm right, the only two of them were threes.
Speaker 4 (06:09):
You know.
Speaker 11 (06:09):
The rest of his points were close or in the
mid range category, and that's been a great compliment and
for him. And he's just been a steady force for
us all year and we're gonna miss him when he leaves.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
You know.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
Now, obviously Caden Moore is still battling the injury. He
will play some, but it seems like you've gotten some
time out of Aidan Ferris, particularly on defense.
Speaker 11 (06:33):
Aiden Aiden probably deserves to play more than what he has.
Speaker 4 (06:37):
Uh.
Speaker 11 (06:38):
And we you know, it's hard to take Walmsley out
and that's usually who Aiden subs in for. But we
we need to find him more spots to play because
when he's in there, usually good things happen and he
has a positive effect on the team.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
We're in regional tournament time, and of course they've restructured
it again. Now it's, you know, back to basically being
one and done. If you don't win, you're done for
the season. Has that do you feel like that weighs
on this team?
Speaker 4 (07:10):
Are they worried about it?
Speaker 11 (07:12):
I don't, you know. People ask me how are your kids?
Are your kids ready? And you know, what's your attitude
of your kids? You you never know until you take
the floor. I've never been able to forecast that, you know.
I think the kids are excited. They're excited that they
think they might have a shot of winning, you know,
(07:32):
and going to Charleston, and but you know, tonight's gonna
be a tough one.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
And they realize that speaking of tonight, Paul Paul's in town.
They're eight and ten, that they've got a couple of
really good shooters averaging in double figures. What do you
know about the pirates and how do we get after that?
Speaker 11 (07:49):
Well, they're point guard And I apologize I can't pronounce
his last name, but Donovan It starts with a t
he's super quick. He does a great job and been
averaging twenty seven twenty eight points a game. He's had
several forty point games this year, and he's just he'll
play the top of their one three to one defense
(08:11):
and he gets a lot of steals. And once he
gets the ball and open floor, you better run as
hard as you can for a rim because he's coming.
So and the number twenty four is one of their
best shooters on the outside. So they've got some kids
and put some points up, and you know, we need
to find a way to first of all slow the
point guard number four down and then at the same
(08:33):
time get out in twenty four space.
Speaker 4 (08:35):
All right, there you go.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
We'll find out how it goes. More to come in
the pregame on ninety four point seven.

Let's go Bulldogs.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
The teams are out, they are warming up, and we
are getting ready for this Class Single A Region two
playoff game. The bracket is up, We're ready to go.
The three seed is Tiger's Valley. The sixth seed is
Paul Paul, of course, the one seed in this region
Tucker County, and due to Harmon not being able to
field a team with injuries, Tucker County got a buy
(11:11):
for tonight said they.
Speaker 4 (11:12):
Will not play again.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
They've got to play one game to get to Charleston
and that will be next Wednesday night, it will either.
But for this team tonight, these two teams here tonight, you've.
Speaker 4 (11:25):
Got to look at it.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
Whichever one wins, it's gonna be at East Hardy or
they're gonna play Pocahontas County, So you got to keep an.
Speaker 4 (11:35):
Eye on it.
Speaker 3 (11:36):
If you look at the records, you would assume that
East Hardy has the edge in that.
Speaker 4 (11:41):
To host the game next week. But that's why they
play the game.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
Pokonnas County the seven seed, so they would have to
travel again to either here or Paul Paul, which is
a long long way from here, so from Pocahontas County
it's even perfect. Let's talk about the Paul Paul Pirates,
the sixth seed under head coach Adam Carter. Had a
great conversation with Adam Carter. He and I kind of
(12:06):
found out that we were both in the Air National Guard.
He currently is serving his country up in the Martinsburg
at the one sixty seventh Airlift Wing, and oddly enough,
his recruiter is one of my best friends from the military.
So it is a small world. Super nice guy. Got
a small team here tonight, but they are talented. Paul
Paul with a record of eight and fourteen. They do
(12:30):
struggle on the road at four and ten. They average
sixty points a game, twenty seven rebounds, two blocks, nine steals,
ten turnovers. As a team, Paul Paul shoots thirty six
percent from the floor, twenty four percent from three point range,
sixty seven percent at the free throw line. They will
go at the point guard five seven senior Donovan Tanaway
(12:53):
averages twenty seven points, nine rebounds and three assists per game.
The two guard Nathan Dick, a five to nine junior,
four points five rebounds a game, and the three guard
is R. J. Ryan, a sophomore three points four rebounds
a game. Taylor Carter out on the wing nineteen points
(13:14):
and four rebounds a game, and in the middle it'll
be six foot junior Braylin that Paul averaging five points
and three rebounds a game. So again, the starting five
four the Pirates of Paul, Paul, Canaway, Dick, Ryan Carter
and Paul for Tigers Valley underhead coach Tom Walmsley, with
Bucks eastl and Mike Depascal on the bench as well,
(13:36):
they come in as the three seed. Overall, they are
twelve and nine five and five here at home, six
and four on the road. They average fifty seven points
a game, twenty seven rebounds, two blocks, seven steals, and
thirteen turnovers.
Speaker 4 (13:50):
As a team, they.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
Shoot forty one percent from the floor, thirty percent from
three point range, sixty eight percent at the free throw line.
Speaker 4 (14:01):
Caden Moore is still.
Speaker 3 (14:02):
Battling that knee injury that he sustained back early in
the month of February, So you're starting five.
Speaker 4 (14:07):
It's a quick line up.
Speaker 3 (14:09):
Parker Bell, the five six sophomore guard thirteen points two
rebounds a game. He'll get the start at one guard
the point guard five to seven senior Ian Harris four points,
three rebounds and three assists per game. Avery Rowl Spinagle,
a five po ten senior three points two rebounds a game.
(14:29):
Kendall Armstrong a five to eleven senior guard forward hybrid
eight points three.
Speaker 4 (14:35):
Rebounds a game.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
And in the middle big junior Jacob Walmsley six foot three,
sixteen points and eight rebounds per game. So the starting
lineups being announced by official PA announcer here, Judy Harris.
They honored her for her years of coaching here at
Tigers Valley.
Speaker 4 (14:55):
A couple of nights ago.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
Just really nice to be able to hang out with
at the basketball games. Of course we stand right beside
of her doing football season throughout the year. So Paul
Paul comes out and their colors are black and red.
They have black jerseys, black pants with a red and
white trim. The numbers are red trimmed in white, and
(15:20):
it says Pirates above the number on the front of
the jersey for Tiger's Valley. Their home whites. With the
white jerseys, the white trousers, the red trim and numerals
it says Tigerts above the number Valley below the number
on the jersey. So the starting lineups have been introduced
(15:42):
to teams getting their final instructions from their coaching staff.
We're just a few minutes away from the start of
the game. Will step away as we honor America with
a national anthem. Be back with the opening tip off
on ninety four point seven.

Welcome you be welcoming you back in to Weber Womsley
Court at Tigert's Valley High School. Ready to call this
action regional tournament game. Paul Paul, the sixth seed Tigers Valley,
the three seed, best producer in the business. Brad Workman
taking care of things back at Master Control. The teams
are ready, the officials are ready. It'll be Tanaway for
(17:59):
Paul Paul up center against Jacob Walmsley for Tigerts Valley.
Speaker 4 (18:04):
The Bulldogs will be working at the basket.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
To our right as always here official steps to center court,
bounces the basketball, throws it up. It is controlled by
Tiger's Valley into the hands of Parker Bell. He drifts
into the front court one to three to one defense
by Paul Paul in the corner they go. As they
work it around, Parker Bell wants to open up the
game with a three. A little too soft off the
(18:27):
iron rebound pulled down by the Pirates of Paul Paul.
They work it over on the right side to Paul
Paul or check me Carter as the ball poked away
off his leg. It is a turnover against the Pirates.
Head coach Adam Carter says, settled down, calm down, they're
(18:48):
getting a little too much of a hurry now. Ian
Harris for Tiger's Valley, drifts into the front court, looks
in the corner.
Speaker 4 (18:54):
It's not there.
Speaker 3 (18:55):
Comes to the top of the circle to Parker Bell again.
A one to three to one by Paul Paul. Parker
Bell has it right wing skip pass to Ian Harris,
corner to Avery Rowl, Spinagle, back to Harris, back to Spinagle.
He'll step inside from about seventeen. It won't go rebound.
Fought for a tie up possession. Arro is going to
give that to Paul Paul.
Speaker 4 (19:19):
Seven thirteen to go, opening corner. We are scoreless.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
The Pirates of Paul Paul and the Bulldogs of Tiger's
Valley winner advance as loser done for the year. Working
with it out front as Taylor Carter drifts it over
on the right side to Tannaway dangerous shooter left side.
They go now back out between the circles to Tannaway.
Tannaway working against Ian Harris, drives into the foul line,
dishes it underneath. They kick it back outside to Paul.
(19:45):
Paul back to Tannaway. Tannaway looked in the corner, nobody there,
holds it at the top of the key, works around
the screen as the ball poke from behind. He's going
to be grabbed and fouled by Ian Harris. Tried to
go around Harris. Harris got him, and Tom wat knows
you have got to stop Tannaway if you have any
chance of winning this ballgame.
Speaker 4 (20:04):
He averages twenty seven points a game. He's a quick
ball handler.
Speaker 3 (20:09):
He has it between the circles, drifts into the top
of the key, crosses over, works around the screen right side,
floats it over to Paul off the right. Shot up,
no good rebound. Pulled down by the Bulldogs. Ian Harris
into the front court. Kendal Armstrong three right side.
Speaker 4 (20:24):
He got it. Kendal Armstrong. They left him open. He
laid it in.
Speaker 3 (20:30):
Now on the other side, Parker Bell steals it away
from Nathan Dick up underneath. It is a turnover against
the Pirates. Kendal Armstrong a three again. It won't go
rebound fought for and controlled by the Pirates. Paul Paul
Tannaway drives in up off glass too strong, no fight
for it, got his own rebound back.
Speaker 4 (20:48):
Up and in.
Speaker 3 (20:50):
Donovan Tannaway stayed with it and got the shot he wonted.
Speaker 4 (20:54):
It's three to two.
Speaker 3 (20:55):
Bulldogs on top Tiger's Valley, working with it in the
corner to Kendal Armstrong drifts in, floats it up off
glass too strong. Rebound fought for, controlled by the Pirates.
Now here's Tanaway quickly into the front court, stops and
pops from sixteen back of the iron. No good and
the rebound pulled down by Avery Rowls Panagle. He brings
it into the front court, drives the baseline cut off
(21:17):
there He's in trouble. Goes to Walmsley foul line, fifteen
footer in and ow tough luck miss for Jacob Walmsley.
Another rebound for the Pirates. Tiger's Valley a little cold
to start the game. It's three to two Bulldogs on top.
With five twenty to go, Here's Tannaway works around the screen,
drives down the left side of the lane, puts the
ball low scoops the shot up. It will not go
(21:39):
rebound to the Bulldogs. Tiger's Valley, Avery Rowls Panagle. Parker
Bell thought about a three now he'll take the furry Yes,
Parker Bell thought about it. Reset, fired it up.
Speaker 4 (21:51):
It rolls home. It's six to two Bulldogs on top.
Speaker 3 (21:54):
We played three minutes. Tanaway, how's it out front? Looks
for help, gets it to Taylor Carter. Carter is gonna
spot up for three off the right wing. Hi rebound
bounces around.
Speaker 4 (22:06):
Into the hands of Tannaway.
Speaker 3 (22:08):
He can't get it to go rebound to Tiger's Valley Bulldogs.
Speaker 4 (22:11):
Ian Harris on the run up off glass.
Speaker 3 (22:13):
Stars Tiger's Valley eight Paul Paul two. Four thirty to
go in the opening quarter, Here's Canaway. Donovan Tannaway, the
senior five to seven, works with it between the circles.
Push pass on the right side to Taylor Carter in
the corner.
Speaker 4 (22:31):
They go. Here is a quick release three up for RJ. Ryan.
Speaker 3 (22:35):
It won't go rebound pulled down by Ian Harris of
Tiger's Valley to Parker.
Speaker 4 (22:40):
Bell drives the baseline found candle armstrong wide open.
Speaker 3 (22:43):
He lays it up and in and Adam Carter, the
head coach of the Pirates, has seen enough. Got a
thirty second time out on the court ten to two,
bulldog's lead. We're back in thirty seconds on ninety four
point seven. Tell me you elk.
Speaker 2 (22:58):
Anybody would agree? Domb will tell you. Now's the time
to get started on your spring garden. And it all
starts with one stop. First it liigots applying milk creek leggots,
has starter trays, any kind of soil you might wanderneath,
and the seeds you get you started. Of course, the
greenhouse to start your garden is always great to have,
but all you really need is a warm spot with
plenty of sunlight to get things rolling. If you haven't
already decided what to grow in your garden, give it
(23:20):
a little thought and planning, and then head to the ligets
supply first for everything you're going to need. And remember,
if they ain't got it, you don't need it.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
The soundtrack to your Weekend with thirty minute music marathons
ninety four point seven w elk.
Speaker 3 (23:37):
Four minutes and eight seconds to go. Head coach Adam
Carter if Paul. Paul did not like what he was seeing,
and he takes the time out to settle his team
down Tiger's valley, leading ten to two with four oh
eight to go. Here in the opening quarter, Bell's got
a three kend A Armstrong with five, Ian Harris with two.
Here's Donovan Tanaway drifts into the front court quick pass
(23:58):
in the deep left corner. They get it back to ten. Away,
he'll stop and pop elbow left leaves it off the
side of the iron. It won't go another rebound for Avery.
Rowse's Phnogenal brings it himself into the front court back
to Parker Bell underneath the Walmsley.
Speaker 4 (24:12):
Walmsley got positioned and he's found on his way to
the basket. He'll get two free throws.
Speaker 3 (24:16):
Foul I to leave called on I think brailing Paul, Yes,
number one on him. Jacob Walmsley at the free throw
line to are right. Walmsley, a seventy seven percent free
throw shooter, puts it up with the right hand. Good
(24:38):
great student section on hand here for Tiger's valley. Nice
contingent of folks making the long drive down from Paul
Paul as well.
Speaker 4 (24:45):
Second free throw got them twelve two.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
It's a ten point advantage for the Bulldogs. Into the
front court. Now Taylor Carter runs the point, drifts over
to the left, goes in the corner to r. J.
Speaker 4 (24:58):
Ryan. Ryan back to Carter.
Speaker 3 (25:01):
Carter, spin move, works around the screen, out, high drives in,
works against Womley.
Speaker 4 (25:05):
They've got him trapped in the corner.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
Works it out and the ball tipped and stolen away
and a foul is called on Parker Bell.
Speaker 4 (25:12):
They say he got him.
Speaker 3 (25:13):
With the reach in the attempt to steal the ball.
First foul on mister Bell. Second team fell and Paul
Paul to trigger it in quartercourt. They do bring it
in to Taylor Carter. Carter works with it between the circles.
Now he drifts down the right side of the lane,
hop step underneath the basketball swatted and stolen away. It's
(25:36):
another turnover against the Pirates. Parker Bell NBA three comes
off the front of the iron. No good rebound fought for,
controlled by the Pirates and then lost. And now there's
a fight for the basketball. Still a fight for it.
It's knocked out of bounds by Avery Rausepnagal, so what
(25:57):
looked like a rugby scrum for a minute.
Speaker 4 (26:01):
It's up.
Speaker 3 (26:03):
With the Pirates getting the basketball back, but they've got
to go ninety three feet. Three minutes to go in
the first quarter, it's twelve to two Tigers Valley. Here's
Tannaway for the Pirates on the right side. They go
to Carter. Carter drives the baseline, stops and pops from
about twelve. It will not go. Rebound pulled down by
(26:24):
the Pirates. They work it in to RJ.
Speaker 4 (26:26):
Ryan.
Speaker 3 (26:27):
He has his shot blocked. Rebound down to Tiger's valley.
Parker Bell puts up the shot, no good. Avery Rouse
Pinagle pulls the rebound down, gets it the Kendal armstrong
and he lays it in. Fourteen to two. Now here's Tannaway.
Drives down the lane, floats up the shot.
Speaker 4 (26:44):
It will not go.
Speaker 3 (26:46):
Tannaway struggling here in the early going eight rebounds for
the Bulldogs. Parker Bell just Spinagle. Ian Harris top of
the key wants a three front of the iron. No good,
and the rebound comes down to the Pirates.
Speaker 4 (26:59):
There now here is an.
Speaker 3 (27:01):
NBA three from Carter and he drains it.
Speaker 4 (27:06):
Nice shot by the sophomore Taylor Carter.
Speaker 3 (27:11):
Two minutes to go, opening quarter. Here's Parker Bell right wing.
They left him open for a three. No Kenda Armstrong
right corner. Three, bounces around and fell out. Thought he
had it. It did not go rebound to Tannaway drive shoot,
pops it up it in fourteen to seven. Lead is
cut two half. Now on the other side, here's Tannaway
(27:33):
poking it. Away drives to the basket after the steel
can't get it to go right in there to put
it back up at in. We knew Tannaway was gonna
get one. Eventually stolen Away drove to the basket, missed
it under pressure, but then it came the other way.
Speaker 4 (27:48):
Now here's Ian Harris runs.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
In on the runner, floats it up and puts it
in sixteen to nine.
Speaker 4 (27:54):
Leads it seven for the Bulldogs.
Speaker 3 (27:57):
With a minute fifteen to go, Tanaway into the front,
bounced past near side to Paul top of the key
to Carter. Carter drives into the foul line. He's cut
off there in trouble to Tanaway right wing, furry up
no good and the rebound skid for ripped out of
there by Jacob Walmsley. Here's a quick pass out ahead
to Kendl Armstrong, back to Avery Rowse Spinagle steps inside
(28:19):
to three point arc up off glass.
Speaker 16 (28:21):
No.
Speaker 4 (28:22):
Walmsley with the rebound, tries to put it back.
Speaker 3 (28:24):
Up at he's foaled, so he'll go back to the
free throw line. With forty eight seconds to go, foul
is called on Braylan Paul. That's number two on him
and Jacob Walmsley back to the free throw line. He's
got two points tonight, both of those coming at the
charity strike.
Speaker 4 (28:46):
The Jim Quiants ball is up off the front of
the iron. Two sawts.
Speaker 3 (28:52):
Alex Scott into the ballgame now, giving Ian Harris a
little bit of a break. Jacob Walmsley gets the wall
from the official, Aiden Ferris ready to check in for Walmsley.
Second free throw up, no good rebound by Tanaway. He's
on the run, quickly drives in, floats it up off
the front of the rim.
Speaker 4 (29:12):
It is no good rebound.
Speaker 3 (29:15):
Fought for controlled by the Bulldogs. Tiger's valley gets it
into the hands of Parker Bell. Tom Walmsley wants him
to hold for the last shot kend to Armstrong, cross
court to Alex Scott to Cayden Moore into the ballgame
as well. Moore thought about a three. It's not there.
Back to Parker Bell at the top of the key.

(29:38):
in the corner, back to Armstrong, bounce pass out high,
Alex Scott, left wing to Cayden Moore out high Parker
Bell right side Kenda Armstrong to Bell to Alex Scott.

Tom Walmsley given some of his starters a little break.
You've got Parker Bell, Alex Scott, Caden Moore, Aidan Ferris
and Kendall Armstrong. Here's Parker Bell opens up the quarter
with a three. It won't go quickly with the rebound
as Tannaway drive shoots and he is called for the charge.
(31:42):
Tanaway called for the charge as Parker Bell got back,
got in front of him and got the position.
Speaker 4 (31:56):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (31:56):
Foul is called on Donovan Tannaway with the charge. It
goes down as a turnover as well. Fourth turnover against
the Pirates. Alex Scott floats it in to Parker Bell.
He drifts across the ten second line, works his way
to the right, bounced past in the corner to Armstrong
to Parker Bell.
Speaker 4 (32:16):
Top of the key.
Speaker 3 (32:16):
Alex Scott for yes, twenty two to nine. Tiger's Valley,
finding their range early, got to keep it up. Tannaway
working with it now splits a double team lost the
handle on it. Now he picks it up, tries to
float it underneath a fight for the basketball. Tannaway scrapping
for it, works it out to Paul at the foul line.
(32:38):
It won't go rebound, knocked out of bounds two. Tigert's
Valley seven eighteen to go. Here in this opening half,
it's twenty two to nine.
Speaker 4 (32:52):

They have the basketball, Parker Bell to Kendel Armstrong top
of the key, Alex Scott in the left corner. Park
Bell wants another thirty no good rebound fought for controlled
by Caden morn. He puts it back up in Kateen
Moore gets the bucket. It's twenty four to nine. Now
on the other side, here's Taylor Carter works around the screen,
(33:16):
drives down the left side of the lane, turns and
spins from twelve and scores twenty four to eleven. Lead
is at thirteen. Four of the Bulldogs, with six forty
to go, bounce past to Caden Moore on the left
wing for Tigert's valley.
Speaker 4 (33:31):
He thought about a three.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
It's just not there right now, and the ball is
kicked out high as Parker Bell with quick bounce pass
and Tannaway got his.
Speaker 4 (33:41):
Foot on it.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
Twenty four to eleven. Tigert's valley on top six thirty
two to go. In the second quarter, Alex Scott looks, looks,
brings it in to Parker Bell, Bell working against Tannaway
to Caden Moore, drives in kick pass left side, left corner.
Here's Alex Scott another three side of the iron. It
(34:05):
is no good rebound into the hands of.
Speaker 4 (34:07):

six to two to eleven lead over the six seed
Pirates of Paul. Paul Pirates have the ball under their
own basket. It comes into Taylor Carter, watched there by
Kendall Armstrong.
Speaker 4 (35:41):
They go in the corner.
Speaker 3 (35:42):
It is a wide open three from the left winging
up and no good for RJ. Ryan rebound pulled down
by Kendall Armstrong of Tiger's Valley right side to Parker.
Speaker 4 (35:51):
Bell drives the baseline with the floater, won't.
Speaker 3 (35:53):
Go, got his own rebound on the tip drill, put
it back up and in.
Speaker 4 (36:00):
Twenty eight to eleven.
Speaker 3 (36:01):
Now here's Tannaway drives down the lane with the floater, puts.
Speaker 4 (36:04):
It up in and he's foul.
Speaker 3 (36:08):
Good ballplayer, foul is gonna be called on Caden Moore.
Number one on Caden Moore, Tanaway at the line, seventy
six percent free throw shooter first one up good, well,
not the first one, the only one. Twenty eight to
(36:30):
fourteen Tigers Valley has.
Speaker 4 (36:32):
Paul Paul doubled up, Parker Bell in.
Speaker 3 (36:35):
The corner right wing, bounce past top of the key,
Kenda Armstrong wide open three, rimmed it in and out.
It won't go rebound. Controlled by Caden Moore out to
Parker Bell. He fires up a three. It won't go
rebound down to Paul Paul. They get it into the
hands of R. J. Ryan into the front court. Comes
Tannaway left side to Taylor. Carter works around the screen,
(36:57):
drives to the foul line, stops and pops from fifteen.
I mean it won't go rebound. Pulled out of there
by Kaden Moore. Outlet pass goes into the hands of
Parker Bell. Bell into the front court working against that
one three one gets a screen from More to Caden Moore.
Now Moore has at top of the key doctor Parker Bell,
doctor Kendl Armstrong, back to Bell again to Caden Moore.
(37:19):
Underneath the Aidan Ferris up and no he's fouled. Aidan
Ferris getting a little floor time, gets the foul. RJ
Ryan called for that. Aidan Ferris will go to the line.
To our right is Adam Woods up off the bench
along with.
Speaker 4 (37:39):
Ian Harris, the starting guard. Free throw Ferris uh no.
Speaker 3 (37:47):
Aiden Ferris just a forty six percent free throw shooter
on the season. Parker Bell, Kendal Armstrong get a break,
so you've got more Harris, Scott Ferris and Woods on
the court for the Bulldogs right now with four forty
seven to go, second free throw, no good again.
Speaker 4 (38:03):
Rebound pulled out of there by Tanaway.
Speaker 3 (38:06):
Tannaway into the front court, drives in, stops and pops
from sixteen off the back of the iron. No good
rebound scrapped for and controlled by Tiger's valley Lee. Pass
out ahead to Adam Woods and he scores a lot
of action on that one and Adam Woods big collision
(38:26):
at mid court. Adam Woods got out ahead of everybody.
Now here's Taylor Carter being harassed by Caden Moore and
for seventeen to go in the first half. Head coach
Adam Carter of Paul Paul not happy with what he
is seeing. He wants a time out for seventeen to
go until halftime. Tiger's Valley thirty Paul Paul fourteen. We'll

Aigret's valley getting balanced, scoring all the way around thirteen
rebounds no excuse me, eighteen rebounds to fourteen for Paul.
Speaker 4 (40:10):

Speaker 3 (40:12):
Carter brings the inbound plass In works against scott or
Woods rather works around the screen. Now he drives in.
Lost a handle on it. He'll just turn fire it
up elbow left. It won't go right into the hands
of Caden Moore. Bounce past to Ian Harris underneath the
Farris he'll drive, put it up with the right hand.
It won't go Farris could not get his own rebound.
(40:33):
It comes down to Paul Paul. They're into the front
Courd Carter elbow left up good thirty to sixteen, leads
at fourteen. Is Ian Harris working now against the pressure
Woods in the corner to Cayden Moore underneath, to Aidan
Ferris that time he was ready for it.
Speaker 4 (40:51):
Put it up and in give the assist to Caden Moore.
Speaker 3 (40:54):
Thirty two sixteen tan away Baul goes in and out
of his hands, but Ryan there to run it down
back to Carter. Drives down hopstep in the lane, scoop
shot up good thirty two eighteen as Paul Paul attacking
on offense and defense. Ian Harris to Caden Moore left
side to Alex Scott. Pushed pass across the perimeter. Now
(41:18):
here's Alex Scott from sixteen left it a little short rebound,
pulled down by Tannaway, streaks into the front court, drives
down Caden Moore blocks the shot.
Speaker 4 (41:28):
The fouls called.
Speaker 3 (41:29):
Kaden Moore is not happy about it.
Speaker 4 (41:36):
Hard to tell from this angle.
Speaker 3 (41:38):
It was a lot of basketball, but might have got
him with the body a little bit. So Tannaway back
to the free throw line. He's one of one from
there tonight, best free throw shooter on the team at
seventy six percent, and I jinxed him. I'm sorry about that.
He missed the first one. Kend Armstrong in, Alex Scott
(42:00):
to the bench. So more Harris, Armstrong, Woods, and Ferris.
That's your five for the Bulldog. Second one is up
and good. Tannaway, Dick, Ryan Carter and Paul the quintet
for Paul Paul. Here's Ian Harris works around the screen,
drives in, kicks it out in the corner to Kayden
(42:20):
Moore left side. More driving in back out high to
Ferris top of the key. Ferris, working with it, floats
it underneath the Caden Moore. He backs in, floats the
shot up partially deflected. It will not go rebound, pulled
down by the Pirates. Get it into the hands of
Braylin Paul Paul to Tannaway on the left side. Spin
(42:42):
moved by Tannaway, bounce past. On the right side they
go to Nathan Dick. Back to Tannaway, drives in, fires
up the shot off the glass and scores.
Speaker 4 (42:52):
Paul.
Speaker 3 (42:53):
Paul is aggressive. It's thirty two twenty one. Now on
the other side, Ian Harris lost the ball to Cayden
Moore in the corner to Ian Harris. Three type of
the key, get it to him thirty five twenty one
leads back out to fourteen for the Bulldogs.
Speaker 4 (43:12):

Speaker 3 (43:13):
Now he drifts over to the left, working against a
triple team out hide to Paul. Paul has the ball
poked away, gets it to Ryan to Carter works around
the screen. Adam woods on him quite tightly. Now Aidan
Ferris picks him up. Now he drives all the way
through the baseline, steps out, puts it off glass. It
will not go for Carter had a good look at
(43:34):

to Woods to Harris. He wants another three, give it
(43:56):

Speaker 3 (44:47):
It's thirty seven to twenty five Bulldogs on top right corner.
They go to Kendall Armstrong out high to Avery Rawls
Panagle to Adam Woods, He'll push up a three from
the deep corner. It will not go and the rebound
pulled down by the Pirates. Carter into the front court
being harassed by Adam Woods. They get it to Tannaway,
(45:09):
stops and pops from fourteen. It won't fall for him.
Rebound pulled down by Jacob Walmsley into the front court

ball poked away, poked away, a fight for it and
it is controlled into the hands of Braylen Paul. He'll
fire up a three. It won't go rebound, ripped out
of there by Jacob Walmsley. Walmsley gets it out to
Ian Harris. Harris into the front court, into the corner
(01:18:18):
to Scott and there is a steal as Canaway jumped
in front of the pass, tipped it to himself, drove
the length of the floor and laid it in.
Speaker 4 (01:18:26):
Nine point lead. Sixty three fifty four Tiger's Valley on top.
Speaker 3 (01:18:30):
They have the basketball. Kaden Moore has it. They work
it underneath to Walmsley. Walmsley kicks it to Alex Scott
three need it can't get it rebound though, pulled down
by the Bulldogs. Kateen Moore underneath to Walmsley. He drives
in and he's filed from behind. Taylor Carter not happy
(01:18:52):
with the call, but he does pick up the foul
his first and Jacob Walmsley at the line, Avery Rawl, Spinagle,
Kendel Armstrong, Parker Bell getting ready to check back in.
Shot is up good for Walmsley, makes the first free throw,
another one coming Armstrong for Woods, Bell for Scott, Avery,
(01:19:15):
Raul Spinagle for Caden Moors. He got the five starters
back in for the Bulldogs. Walmsley free throw, got it
sixty five fifty four leads back out to eleven. Got
to turn around and face Tan away or he'll drive.
Speaker 4 (01:19:30):
It right to the basket. On you.
Speaker 3 (01:19:31):
Taylor Carter has it top of the key, spin move
to the foul line, looking looking in trouble, floats it
over right side.
Speaker 4 (01:19:38):
Nathan Dick throws it up. It won't go rebound, knocked
out of bounds to Paul. Paul.
Speaker 3 (01:19:49):
Sixty five fifty four leads it eleven with five and
a half to go.
Speaker 4 (01:19:53):
Tiger's Valley needs stops and points.
Speaker 3 (01:19:58):
Paul Paul keeps chipping away though they're a good basketball team,
working with it. On the right side, Taylor Carter drives in,
has the ball swatted away from him, out of bounds.
It'll stay with the Pirates.
Speaker 4 (01:20:12):
Ready to go again. R J.
Speaker 3 (01:20:13):
Ryan has it, smacks the basketball, looks looks down's pass
underneath Tannaway reverse layup.
Speaker 4 (01:20:19):
It won't go.
Speaker 3 (01:20:20):
Got his own rebound, had it blocked, had it blocked
by Jacob Walmsley, and the rebound that time to the
Bulldogs on the right side to Parker Bell, to Kindle Armstrong.
Armstrong drifts down the left side in the corner to
Ian Harris underneath the Walmsley. Walmsley backing in, has the
ball stripped away, got it back, laid it up an
(01:20:40):
end sixty seven fifty four. Here's Tannaway streaking into the
front court, drives down the lane, throws up the shot,
trying to draw the foul, didn't get it and a
foul called on a fight for the basketball. Foul is
called on Nathan Dick. That's number four on him, so
(01:21:03):
foul on the rebound. As junior five to nine, Nathan
Dick gets called for his fourth foul third of the quarter.
Two more and Bulldogs are shooting free throws. Now Tiger's
Valley's got to get it across the ten second line.
They're spending a lot of time in the back court.
Now they break it. Here's Kendall Armstrong to Parker Bell
(01:21:23):
to Avery Rowl. Spinagle stops and pops from ten up
off glass. It won't go rebound, pulled down by ten
Away quickly into the front court. He'll float up the runner.
It won't go, fighting for his own rebound. God it
gets it out to Dick and he'll score. Sixty seven
to fifty six. Leads back to eleven. Avery Raul Spinagle
(01:21:45):
into the front court, splits a triple team left side
to Parker. Bell catches it with four fifteen to go.
Bulldogs set the offense, leading by eleven. Fourth quarter with
four minutes to go. Now, Here's Ian Harris drives in
his shot. Rejected rebound into the hands of Tannaway into
the front cord.
Speaker 4 (01:22:04):
He goes right side. Paul shot up in and out.
Speaker 3 (01:22:07):
No good, tough luck miss rebound pulled down by Tiger's
Valley's Jacob Walmsley under four minutes to go. Bulldogs gotta
get good shots. Parker Bell has it between the circles.
Once the screen has it drifts over here to the
near side, looking quick pass underneath to Walmsley.
Speaker 4 (01:22:25):
He turns shoot scores.
Speaker 3 (01:22:30):
Sixty nine fifty six with three and a half to
go in the game. On the other side, Taylor Carter
stops picks up his dribble. Here is a three on
the way from Tannaway. Missed everything. It goes out of
bounds to Tigert's Valley.
Speaker 4 (01:22:51):
Bulldogs want a time out.
Speaker 3 (01:22:54):
They do three twenty three to go in this one.
It is a thirteen point lead for the Bulldogs. They
lead sixty nine fifty six. We'll step away for thirty
sixes and bring it back on ninety four point seven.

Speaker 3 (01:23:51):
Well, what was a comfortable lead for Tigers Valley? Paul
Paul decided to make it very uncomfortable. They has cut
it to as many as nine or as if you
is nine right now, the lead is at thirteen with
three minutes and twenty three seconds to go. Tiger's Valley
with the lead and the basketball, you've got to watch
(01:24:14):
out if you're head coach of Adam Carter of the Pirates.
You've got Brayl and Paul with three fouls, Nathan Dick
with four, Tiger's Valley, nobody in foul trouble. It's been
a very clean game, well officiated, and it is that
full cord pressure man to man. They get it into
Ian Harris to Kenda Armstrong, back to Ian Harris, floats
(01:24:37):
it to Avery Rowl's spinagle into the front court along
the baseline. He goes bounce pass out to Ian Harris,
quick pass to Kendall Armstrong, back out to Parker Bell
to Ian Harris as the Bulldogs look to work a
little clock looking inside for Walmsley. It's just not much there.
Avery Rowlse Spinagle to Ian Harris, back to Parker Bell,
(01:24:58):
top of the key to Spanagle. Under three minutes to
go and there's the turnover. They threw it away. Another
turnover for the Bulldogs, into the hands of Tanaway as
the ball poked Away, dishes it off to Ryan, puts
the shot up.
Speaker 4 (01:25:09):
No, but he's fouled. Tiger's Valley's got to watch the
passing lanes.
Speaker 3 (01:25:16):
They are just too quick. Parker Bell picks up foul
number two and R. J. Ryan, the sophomore at the
line to our right, fifty seven percent free throw shooter
on the season, has the ball in his right hand.
One bounce, a backspin shot up off back iron noe,
(01:25:36):
Avery Rouse, Pinagle out, Caden Moore.
Speaker 4 (01:25:39):
Back into the ball game, ready to go again.
Speaker 3 (01:25:45):
To forty eight to go in this one thirteen point
lead for Tiger's Valley. They're clinging to it right now.
Second free throw good, Ryan, one out of two. Now
here come the Bulldogs and they.
Speaker 4 (01:25:57):
Threw it away.
Speaker 3 (01:25:59):
Parker Bell caught it in the left corner, had two players,
neither one of them looking at him, and it goes
down as a tenth turnover against Tigert's valley and Paul
Paul has a chance to cut it to single digits
with a three tanaway now working against Ian Harris backing in,
(01:26:20):
brings it out and he turned it over, threw it
into the hands of Kendall Armstrong. Armstrong to Caden Moore.
Caden Moore dribbles across the timeline looking for help, finds
Parker Bell on the right side. Bell drives the baseline
bounce pass out to Kendall Armstrong left wing. Armstrong drives
in to more top of the key to Walmsley.
Speaker 4 (01:26:39):
Backing in turn shoot Star.
Speaker 3 (01:26:44):
Seventy one fifty seven back out to a fourteen point advantage.
Approaching two minutes to go in the ballgame. Here's Taylor
Carter now driving under the basket working against Walmsley.
Speaker 4 (01:26:54):
Shot is blocked by Jacob.
Speaker 3 (01:26:56):
Walmsley, and are gonna call him for the foul, say
that it got him on the arm mets Walmsley first,
so at the line will be Nathan Dick again, the
junior a forty six percent free throw shooter. He's one
out of two from there. Tonight he's got two coming.
(01:27:16):
Seventy one fifty seven. The score Tiger's Valley on top
still seventy one fifty seven free throw back of the iron.
Speaker 4 (01:27:25):
Nathan will get another one. Coach Adam Carter's has put
a little bit more air under it. Second one, uh
got it.
Speaker 3 (01:27:35):
Seventy one fifty eight, thirteen point advantage for Tiger's valley.
They get it to Ian Harris into the front court,
drives down the lane. They left it wide open, and
Ian Harris took advantage and laid it in for his
eleventh point.
Speaker 4 (01:27:47):
Of the night.
Speaker 3 (01:27:48):
Seventy three fifty eight Taylor Carter into the front court,
drifts around to the right side of the lane, stops
there looking for help, can't find it, turns around, fires
it up, and a timeout is called before the show goes.
Seventy three fifty eight Tigerts valley on top of Paul
Paul one minute, forty four seconds to go. In one
(01:28:09):
of these two team seasons, we'll find out which one
it is coming up in thirty seconds on ninety four
point seven, w elk.
Speaker 2 (01:28:18):
Anybody with a green thumb will tell you now's the
time to get started on your spring garden, and it
all starts with one stop. First it ligots applying milk
creek liggots as starter trays, any kind of soil you
might wanderneath, and the seeds you get you started. Of course,
a greenhouse to start your garden is always great to have,
but all you really need is a warm spot, but
plenty of sunlight to get things rolling. If you haven't
already decided what to grow in your garden, give it
(01:28:39):
a little thought and planning, and then head to Legget
Supplied first for everything you're going to need. And remember,
if they ain't got it, you don't need it.
Speaker 1 (01:28:48):
The soundtrack to your weekend with thirty minute music. Marathons
ninety four point seven w.
Speaker 3 (01:28:54):
Elk Tigerts Valley seventy Paul Paul fifty eight. In this
Class single A Region two sectional first round game. The
winner of this one will either go to East Hardy
or will host Pocahontas County, depending on how that game's
(01:29:16):
going up in the baker one minute forty four seconds left.
Speaker 4 (01:29:23):
And Paul Paul to bring it in as R. J.
Speaker 3 (01:29:28):
Ryan smacks the basketball comes into Carter wanted to quick
release three Kendl Armstrong.
Speaker 4 (01:29:32):
Right up in his face. They floated out highs taken away.
Speaker 3 (01:29:36):
Parker Bell intercepts the pass, drives the baseline.
Speaker 4 (01:29:39):
He is hammer to the floor and he is filed
by brailing Paul. That's number four on Paul. No check me.
They did not call that on Paul. They called that
on r J.
Speaker 3 (01:29:52):
Ryan, Number three on him. So Parker Bell, with the
fourth deal of the night, goes to the free throw line.
Seventy nine percent free throw shooter, knots the first one down.
He's got twelve points here in the ball game, seventy
(01:30:13):
four to fifty eight. Puts the shot up and it
is no good rebound pulled down. So East Hardy gets
the win over Pocahontas County tonight, ninety two.
Speaker 4 (01:30:27):
To thirty three.
Speaker 3 (01:30:28):
The winner of this one will be traveling up to
Baker next Wednesday night. Now on the other side, here
is Paul Paul three on the way off the right
side for RJ.
Speaker 4 (01:30:39):
Ryan.
Speaker 3 (01:30:39):
No good rebound pulled down by Parker Bell. He's just
gonna weave in and out. We're approaching a minute to
go in the game, bounce pass inside, Walmsley turns, puts
it up with the right hand. It won't go rebound.
Pulled down by Paul Paul. Into the front court comes Tannaway.
Tanaway loses his footing, goes to the and he traveled
(01:31:03):
only the eighth turnover of the night against Paul Paul.
Tigers Valley's turned it over ten times. Fifty five seconds
to go in the ballgame, Tiger's Valley seventy four to
fifty eight and a turnover a steal. Taylor Carter gets it,
fires up the shot and scores. Tiger's Valley cannot get
(01:31:23):
complacent here. They've got to get the ball across the
ten second line. It's a fourteen point lead for the Bulldogs.
Caden Moore bounced past to Ian Harris. Harris has it
on the left side, bounced past to Caden Moore, spin move,
drives into the basket, lays hit up and in. They
pulled Jacob Walmsley out to the wing and it left
(01:31:43):
the middle wide open. It's a sixteen point lead for
the Bulldogs. Here's Taylor Carter NBA three. It will not
go rebound. Fought for, fought for, and controlled eventually by
Paul Paul Braylan. Paul drives in, floats it up. Nobody's fouled.
Kaden Moore called on the foul. He'll send Brail and
Paul to the line for two. Paul the junior a
(01:32:07):
fifty eight percent free throw shooter. So again, East Hardy
defeats Pocahontas County ninety two.
Speaker 4 (01:32:15):
To thirty three. First free throw up and no good.
Speaker 3 (01:32:18):
So that means next Wednesday night, Tiger's Valley will load
the busses up and head up to Baker.
Speaker 4 (01:32:25):
We'll go with them.
Speaker 3 (01:32:27):
Second free throw up and no good. And on the
rebound a possession arrow. It goes to Tiger's Valley. Eight
seconds to go, eight point four to be exact, Tiger's
Valley touchdown, pass out ahead to Jacob Walmsley working with it,
drives the lane, shot is up and he.
Speaker 4 (01:32:47):
Rolled it home.
Speaker 3 (01:32:51):
And that is the ballgame. Final score Tigerts Valley seventy
eight Paul Paul sixty. Collision there at the end, Jacob
Walmsley goes up to help the young man up RJ. Ryan,
who went hard to the floor. Nice sportsmanship there as
the teams line up. So there you go Tigert's Valley
(01:33:11):
wins this region one game, they'll head.
Speaker 4 (01:33:13):
Up to East Hardy.
Speaker 3 (01:33:14):
We'll take a break when we come back post game statistics,
and then we'll get you back to music Tiger's Valley
with the win seventy eight to sixty. We're coming back
on ninety four point seven.
