Speaker 1 (00:32):
Now let's go live for all the action. Here's Greg White.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
We are finally back to basketball here in Mill Creek.
Of course, the holidays then the weather hit and this
Bulldog basketball team has not played a game since December
the thirtieth, two weeks actually fifteen days ago, and with
the weather the road condition, they haven't been able to practice. However,

(01:03):
Pocahontas County on the other side, kind of the same
situation for the Warriors. Now they have gotten to get
a game in. They were down at Pendleton County last
night where they fell to the Wildcats, so they've.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
Had a little bit more playing time.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
Tom Walmsley, a little concerned he told me about conditioning,
because it's been a couple of weeks since they've been
able to practice and get together.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
But that's okay. We've got a great crowd on hand.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
It is an awesome rivalry and we are ready to
bring you the action tonight between the one and four
Warriors of Pocahontas County and the four and one Tiger's
Valley Bulldogs.

Speaker 4 (01:40):
My name is Greg White.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Here at Weber Walmsley Court in Mill Creek, ready for
good basketball. We're just chomping at the bit to get
back at it. As we are here tonight on a
cold night, it is very chilly. Roots in pretty good
shape getting out here. I know we had some snow
earlier this afternoon and this evening in the Elkins area

(02:01):
out in the Mill Creek area. Those we got closer
out here around five o'clock.

Speaker 4 (02:06):
We didn't run into anything.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
And as we mentioned, a great crowd on hand from
Pocahontas County and as always, an amazing crowd for the
Tiger's Valley Bulldogs. As we get ready for this matchup again,
Tiger's Valley coming in with a record of four and one.
They beat Pendleton County, Harmon Union and Trinity Christian. They
did fall to Tucker County back on December the twentieth.

(02:30):
For the Warriors of Pocahontas County, they are won and four.
They won their opening game of the season about a
month ago, back on December the twelfth against rich Wood.
Since then, they have dropped four in a row, losing
to East Hardy, Notre Dame Moorfield, and then, as we
mentioned last night against Pendleton County, they fell ninety two

(02:52):
to fifty five. Both of our teams are out warming up.
The junior varsity contest was pretty tight for a while.
Tiger's Valley actually had a lead before Pocahontas County's Junior
Varsity pulled away and the fourth quarter to win it
by a final score of fifty six to thirty nine.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
We're gonna take a quick break when we come back
to Mill Creek.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
I had a chance to sit down and talk with
head coach Tom Walmsley of the Bulldogs.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
We'll get his thoughts on the season and the game
coming up tonight.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
You're listening to Tiger's Valley pulled on basketball on ninety
four point seven w Elk.

Speaker 5 (03:29):
I decided to take a drive yesterday and saw a
small litter alongside the road. I stopped by to pick
it up. There was a soda can, a potato chip
bag and a lottery ticket along with the gash receipt
and it was all laying next to an oak tree.
Did I mentioned that the lottery ticket was in an
envelope with your address on it. Don't be lazy keep
a garbage bag in your car for trash. Litter can

(03:50):
say a lot about an individual and can sometimes ramp
them out. This message brought to you by the Randolph
County Solid Waste Authority.

Bulldog Sports ninety four point seven.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Welk Our pregame show continues Getting Ready for basketball here
at Tigers Valley joined by Tom Walmsley, and I say,
we finally get ready for basketball. How difficult is it
to have these weather delays and keeping some kind of
rhythm going.

Speaker 4 (04:51):
With this team?

Speaker 9 (04:52):
Well, as you can imagine, there's not much rhythm to
be a cap what you try to do, and we're
lucky tonight we're playing Poconnas County, who's also a mountain school,
so they haven't been in the gym much more than
we have. So you try to hope the first couple
opponents you play have about the same number of practices

(05:14):
and so there's not a huge advantage to eat or one,
but you lose so much.

Speaker 10 (05:20):
I think we practiced twice in the last two.

Speaker 9 (05:23):
Weeks, and you know, it's just tough to do anything,
and conditioning is what scares you the most. And then
of course there's timing and all of.

Speaker 10 (05:31):
That as well.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
You know, you go back right around Christmas time, you
went down to Somersville, played in a tournament there against
Trinity Christian. Of course, that was after a tough loss
up at Tucker County, so it looked like if you
look at the score that they rebounded pretty well from
that trip up to Hambleton.

Speaker 10 (05:50):
Yeah. Yeah, Trinity's not having the best year.

Speaker 9 (05:52):
So we kind of lucked into the draw down there
when you asked to play in that shootout, you just
asked to play, and then they pair you up according
to you know what, who else wants to be there?
So but it was a good game. The kids enjoy
being down there. People as Somersville or great hosts, and

(06:14):
it's a beautiful facility and you know, we'll keep going
back if they'll have us.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
You know, we've talked coming into the year about Jacob Walmsley,
Cayden Moore. Everybody knows about that.

Speaker 4 (06:24):
One of the kids that's been pretty.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
Quiet, at least to me even over the last couple
of years is Kendall Armstrong. Talk about his advancement through
the years to where he's now a starter.

Speaker 10 (06:34):
For you well, and that's I may just mention.

Speaker 9 (06:37):
At the beginning year of preseason, you know, these four
of these three, all of the four seniors didn't start
last year, but they were waiting their turn, and Kendall's
one of those. Kendall's worked hard and is one of
our best shooters. If you look at our stats, he's
got some of the best shooting stats on the team.
And we've talked to him a little bit and told
me he needs to start looking for he shot.

Speaker 10 (06:58):
A little bit more.

Speaker 9 (07:00):
But the biggest surprise with Kendall has been his defense.
He has concentrated and you'll usually see him defending their
best guard, their best scorer at the guard position, and
he's done a great job. And I'll be honest, I
did not expect that. I did expect the shooting to

(07:20):
come around, and because he's alway, he's been a good
shooter since the sixth seventh grade, but I didn't realize
how much he could contribute defensively, and that's been a
pleasant surprise.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
So we've got Pocahontas County in here tonight. They're not
having a great year so far. They played last night
against Pendleton County, a team that we beat. So what
do you know about this Warrior team and how do
we get after him?

Speaker 9 (07:43):
Well, we scrimmaged each other in December, and which is
not something you usually do. But I was a shortest
scrimmage he was too, and we said, why not.

Speaker 10 (07:58):
Let's do it.

Speaker 9 (07:59):
So we played them six quarters and we beat them
four hour of the six but the two quarters they
beat us.

Speaker 10 (08:06):
They showed us some things that they could do.

Speaker 9 (08:08):
They've got they got a couple of post players that
can jump out of the gym and play real well
around the rim, and that shocked us a little bit
and we had a we had a tough time.

Speaker 10 (08:19):
Adjusting to it. I hope we do a better job tonight.

Speaker 9 (08:21):
But you know, if we if we do play better
around the rim, and I think we can handle them
on the perimeter, we.

Speaker 10 (08:30):
Things should go our way. But you never know. You've
got to make sure you still got to put forth the.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
Effort you do. We'll strap it up.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
Tip it off here coming up Tiger's Valley, Pocahontas County,
coming up ninety four point seven.

Speaker 10 (08:43):
OK.

Tigerts Valley out going through their final warm ups and
Pocahontas County getting their final instructions from their head coach.

(13:09):
Let's go through the starting lineup for the Warriors of
Pocahontas County under head coach Justin Taylor, with a record
of one and four on the season. They will go
at one guard with Matthew mcquaane. He is a five
to nine senior five to six senior Devon Burgess. He
is the two guard six to two senior forward Dylan

(13:31):
Dunns six to one senior forward Trenton Brock and number
twenty three six to one junior Carter Van Devender and
he is, as we said, a junior, so it will
be mcquaane and Burgess in the backcourt. Duns, Brock and
Van Devender are the forwards for Tigerts Valley, same starting

(13:52):
five they've had through the first five games of the
season at one guard five to seven senior Ian Harris,
the two guard five to ten senior Avery Rowse Spinagle,
and the shooting guard five eleven senior Kendall Armstrong. The
wings Jacob Walmsley underneath six to three junior and out

(14:13):
on the wing is six to three senior Cayden Moore.
So again four Tigerts Valley under head coach Tom Walmsley
with a record of four and one. They will go
with Harris, Spinagle and Armstrong as the guards. Walmsley and
Moore are the forwards Tigerts Valley in their home uniforms.
That's white jerseys, white trousers. It says Tigerts above the

(14:38):
number on the front of the Jersey Valley below the number,
and those numbers and trim are read for Pocahonnas County.
They will be out here tonight once they come out
of the locker room in black uniforms with maroon numerals
trimmed in gold. It says Pocahontas in a script above
the number on the front of the jerseys. So, as

(15:01):
we mentioned, a really good crowd on hand, a lot
of folks making the way up over the mountain from
Pocahonnas County.

Speaker 4 (15:09):
Big rivalry. These two schools not really separated by.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
That many miles. I mean in the grand scheme of things,
you know, they're not right next door, but they are
pretty close to each other as you go over that
mountain to get down to Pocahonnas County, and they are
trying to get a win, trying to get back on
the winning side of things. Pocahontas County, as we said,

(15:36):
started out the season with a win.

Speaker 4 (15:38):
They've dropped four in a row. For Tigers Valley, they.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
Won three in a row, dropped one at Tucker County
and then got one back on December the thirtieth. We're

As we continue to roll through this basketball season, teams

(18:30):
are being introduced. You've got Tigerts Valley and Pocahontas County again.
The starting five for the Warriors of Pocahontas County under
head coach Justin Taylor, Matthew Mcquaane Devon Burgess, Dylan Dunn's,
Trenton Brock and Carter Van Devender. For Tigerts Valley, Ian

(18:52):
Harris Avery, Rawles, Spinagle, Canda Armstrong, Jacob Walmsley.

Speaker 4 (18:58):
And Caden Moore.

Speaker 3 (19:00):
You can hear the student section of Tigert's Valley loud
and proud.

Speaker 4 (19:04):
I tell you I was really proud of him.

Speaker 3 (19:06):
We go back to December thirteenth, the opening game of
the season.

Speaker 4 (19:12):
The student section.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
Here for the Bulldogs was incredibly loud and what was
so funny about it, at least to me, When the
opposition was shooting free throws, the student section, led by
the girls basketball team, loudly saying Christmas Carols at them.
It was quite entertaining. So we're ready to go. As

(19:38):
Kateen Moore takes his position for the Bulldogs at center court,
he will jump against Dylan Dunns. Students are ready, crowds ready, scorers,
tables ready. Broadcaster guy is ready. Let's play some basketball.
Official steps to the center jump circle, throws it up.
Tip is controlled by Ian Harris of Valley Bulldogs, working

(20:01):
at the basket to our right.

Speaker 4 (20:03):
They go left side.

Speaker 3 (20:04):
Kenda Armstrong thought about a three, it's not there, drives in,
kicks it on the right wing to Avery Rowse Spinagle.
He drives through, brings it back out to Ian Harris.
Between the circles. They'll reset the offense. So he dribbles
slowly around into the right corner. He's cut off there,
works it underneath Walmsley, backing in backing in Strong.

Speaker 4 (20:22):
The basket, puts it in. Jacob Walmsley makes it two
to nothing.

Speaker 3 (20:28):
Tigrits Valley. We're just underway. We've played thirty seconds. Pogonna's
County in to the front court. Dylan duns has it
between the circles, works it underneath as they try to
go and a possession arrow tie up. It'll be Pocahonnas
County basketball. They tried to work it underneath to Dylan Dunns.

(20:49):
Warriors retain possession, looking to bring it in at the
basket to our right. They do get it into the corner.
A trap there working around the screen looking to get
it outside.

Speaker 4 (21:00):
The ball stolen.

Speaker 3 (21:00):
Away by Ian Harris. Warriors get it to Kayden Moore
on the run. He's cut off underneath, comes way out
high ball saved from going over and back by Kendall Armstrong.
It goes into the deep right corner. Now they work
with it into the corner. Harris has it again right
side and a foul is called. Fowl's going to be

(21:21):
against Devin Burgess of Pocahontas County. That's going to be
his first teams first common foul. Six point fifty three
to go in the opening quarter, it's two to nothing
Tigers valley in the lead in bounce pass comes into
Ian Harris. He works around the screen all the way
over to his left into the corner to Avery Rowse
spinogles spinoggle, cut off there, brings it out to Kenda Armstrong. Armstrong,

(21:46):
He's gonna stop and pop from three. It goes Strong
off the back of the iron.

Speaker 4 (21:50):
It is no good.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
Rebound down to Pocahontas County Warriors into the front court.
Van Devener has it over on the right wing, cut
off by a double team, and he traveled drove in,
tried to stop spin and pass it out in He
drug that pivot foot quick substitution as Ben Workman now

(22:16):
into the ballgame for Pocahontas cut six twenty sixty go
opening quarter, it's two to nothing. Tiger's valley on top.
They have the basketball. Ian Harris into the front court.
Now he's cut off in the corner, looking underneath the
Walmsley walmsley, backing in, backing in, backing in, trapped.

Speaker 4 (22:36):
On a double team, and he's going to be foul.

Speaker 3 (22:42):
Foul is going to be called against Dylan Dunn's number
one on him second team foul of the quarter. Avery
Rowsepinaga looks to get it in, brings it into Kendall
Armstrong caught about a three.

Speaker 4 (22:55):
It's not there from the deep right corner.

Speaker 3 (22:57):
Tried to go underneath the Jacob Walmsley a eye up
and the possession will stay with the Bulldogs. Tom Walmsley
tells Jacob Walmsley just dribble at one time. Tiger's Valley
to inbound it under their own basket. Avery Rouse Monagle looks,
brings it into Armstrong. Armstrong in the corner on the

(23:20):
right side, centers it up to Ian Harris.

Speaker 4 (23:22):
Ian Harris dribbles around the screen down the left side
of the lane. Shot up.

Speaker 3 (23:25):
Nobody's gonna be fouled. Fowl's gonna be caught on Dylan Dunns.
That's number two on Duns. Ian Harris to the free
throw line, a fifty five percent free throw shooter on
the season. Tigers Valley leads it two to nothing just
under two minutes played.

Speaker 4 (23:45):
Free throw up good.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
Harris ready again with three dribbles in the basketball, puts
it up right hand back of the iron. Too Strong
followed his shot, chased it down, put it up. It's
blocked and the rebound comes down to Pocahontas County working
with it on the right side, driving the lane.

Speaker 4 (24:11):
Shot is up.

Speaker 3 (24:12):
Van Peevender drives hard in the basket and he scores
and he's foul. Fowl's gonna be called on Ian Harris,
number one on him and Carter Van Dievender gets the
bucket and the harm he'll have a chance to.

Speaker 4 (24:28):
Tie it up.

Speaker 3 (24:28):
With five point forty three to go in the opening
quarter at the line, shot up too strong back of
the iron, no good rebound pulled down by Tiger's Valley.
Ian Harris quickly into the front court, quick passed to
Avery rousepinagule to Kindle Armstrong on the right wing, looking underneath,
gets it to Walmsley.

Speaker 4 (24:49):
Walmsley hard to the.

Speaker 3 (24:50):
Basket and he lays it in quick move off the
dribble and Jacob Walmsley has his fourth point of the evening.
It's five to two, Tiger Stalley in the lead. Pocahontas
County with the basketball, Van Devender working with it, almost
has the ball poked away by Ian Harris. Van Devender
runs it down at mid court and they'll reset the

(25:11):
offense done. No look past to Van Devender drives in.
Shot is up, No, but he's fouled. Foul is going
to be called on Caden Moore, number one on him,
number two on the Bulldogs and Van Devender back to
the line.

Speaker 4 (25:29):
He's got two coming.

Speaker 3 (25:31):
Five to two our score five o two to go
in the opening quarter. Van Divender free throw swish, five
to three our scorer Pocahontas County. The Warriors to the left.
Second free throw good got them both. It's five to four,

(25:55):
one point lead for the Bulldogs. Ian Harris dribbled jogs
into the front court, works his way over to the left.
Nothing there, nothing there, looking underneath to Walmsley. Walmsley again,
quick move in the basket. This time it won't go
and the rebound pulled out of there by.

Speaker 4 (26:12):
Pokahonnas County get it into the.

Speaker 3 (26:15):
Hands of duns. Comes to Van Devender on the left wing.
Van Devender give and go underneath the Burgess. Burgess lost
the ball, turn over number three against Pocahonnas County. There
comes Kenda Armstrong for Tiger's Valley, gets it to Avery
rows Monagle in the corner. He backs out there nothing
there to Caden Moore on the right wing. Looking looking

(26:37):
driving in, driving in, spin move, kicks it out high
Kenda Armstrong. How about a three in and out?

Speaker 4 (26:43):
No good and a.

Speaker 3 (26:44):
Foul on the rebound attempt. Not sure who it is against.
Looks like it is going to be against Pocahontas County.
It is Trenton Brock called on the foul. He and
Walmsley got tangled up. Fourth team foul. Now here's Ken
del Armstrong right corner. Shot up good, just.

Speaker 4 (27:05):
Inside of the three point arc. Seven to four.

Speaker 3 (27:11):
We've played four minutes here in the opening quarter. Tiger's
Valley with the lead. Pocahontas County with the basketball. They
work it underneath, spin move, turning, spinning, It.

Speaker 4 (27:20):
Will not go.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
Shot is up rebound the Van Devender. It's good for three.
Trenton Brock missed the shot, got his own rebound, kicked
it out to Van Devender.

Speaker 4 (27:31):
He tied it up. Now here's Avery ralse Pinagle. He'll
shoot a three. It's no good.

Speaker 3 (27:36):
Rebound to Pocahontas County Warriors. Van Devender into the front court,
left side, working with it is duns. Duns bounce pass
on the right side, looking underneath for workmen. It goes
out of bounds to Tiger's Valley turnover number four against
Pocahontas County three twenty seven to go, twenty five to

(28:00):
go in the opening quarter, seven to seven. Our score
Tiger's Valley in Pocahontas County. We're back in thirty seconds
on ninety four point seven w EOK.

Speaker 4 (28:47):

Speaker 3 (28:50):
Tonight, three twenty five to go, opening quarter, we're tied
at seven. Tigert's Valley with the basketball Hooghonnas County in
that matchup zone.

Speaker 4 (28:58):
Ian Harris drives in.

Speaker 3 (28:59):
He's cut off on the baseline, kicks it back out
as they work it around the perimeter. Ken Del Armstrong
has it, steps inside at the free throw line, puts
it up with the left hand and scores nine to seven.
Tiger's Valley on top. Now here's Van Devender driving into
the basket.

Speaker 4 (29:16):
Shot is upshot, is good?

Speaker 3 (29:17):
Van Devender taking control. He's got all nine points. Now
here's Kendl Armstrong on the other side and he knocks
down at three for Tigerts Valley, twelve to nine. Bulldogs
go back in front.

Speaker 4 (29:34):
Now on the other side, ball stolen away.

Speaker 3 (29:36):
Jacob Walmsley with the steel drives in, has it poked away,
knocked out of bounds off of his legs. So it's
a turnover both ways, first turnover of.

Speaker 4 (29:49):
The night.

Speaker 3 (29:51):
Against Tiger's Valley. They lead it twelve to nine, but
two and a half to go. Van Devender for Pocahontas
County right wing looking in side tried to give and go.
Cayden Moore steps in front of it, behind the back
drivel hands it off to Ian Harris. Ian Harris will
set the offense Walmsley top of the key, three in
and out, no good, and the rebound comes down to

(30:14):
Pocahontas County Warriors driving in. Shot is up, no good
by Brock and the rebound pulled down by Tiger's valley.

Speaker 4 (30:25):
Here's Ian Harris driving the lamee.

Speaker 3 (30:28):
Shot is up. No, but he's gonna be fouled. Fowl
is gonna be called Devin Burgess. That's his second team's
fifth of the quarter. So the Bulldogs get two points
on this or two shots on this because of the
foul in the active shooting, and then from here on

(30:48):
out for the remaining two minutes, they'll get free throws.

Speaker 4 (30:51):
Shot up Ian Harris.

Speaker 3 (30:53):
No, he's one out of three at the line tonight,
normally a fifty five percent free throw shooter.

Speaker 4 (31:05):
Ready again, shot good.

Speaker 3 (31:09):
Two out of four for Harris. It's a thirteen to
nine lead for the Bulldogs. Just under two minutes to go.
Duns for Pocahontas County into the front court, gets it
to Van Devender. He wants a three side of the
iron and it is no good rebound down to Pocahontas County,
so Duns can't get the three to go. And then

(31:32):
the rebound pulled down by Pocahontas County, almost stolen away.

Speaker 4 (31:36):
By Tigers Valley. And then Dylan Duns gets.

Speaker 3 (31:39):
Called four foul number three and it's two shots. Ian
Harris strolls to the line to our right, accepts the
basketball from the official. Three dribbles up with the right hand,
in and out. He's got another one.

Speaker 4 (32:03):
It's thirteen to nine.

Speaker 3 (32:05):
Tiger's Valley on top with one minute forty four seconds
to go here in the opening quarter, puts that right
foot on the free throw line. Three dribbles again, shot
up good. Three out of six from the line. It's
fourteen to nine. Little Dog's on top. Into the front

(32:30):
court comes mcquan. Mcquan hands it off to Van Devender
and the ball stolen away. Ian Harris steps in front
of it, drives to the basket. Shot is upshot, is good.

Speaker 4 (32:41):
And is foul.

Speaker 3 (32:44):
Ian Harris lays it in. The foul is called on
Devin Burgess. That's number three on Burgess. Four steals here
in the first quarter by Tiger's Valley and Ian Harris back.

Speaker 4 (33:01):
At the line.

Speaker 3 (33:04):
He's three out of six, make it three out of seven.
Missed it off the front of the iron, sixteen to nine.
Rebound pulled down by Pocahontas County Warriors into the front court,
working with it. Van Devender has it right wing, dribbling
around in trouble, has the ball poked away by Avery

(33:25):
Rows Monagle. Pochontas County manages to run it down. They
get it to Workman. Workman drives in, brings it out
high three on the way from Van Divnder.

Speaker 4 (33:32):
It's good.

Speaker 3 (33:36):
Carter van Divender cuts it to a four point lead.
Sixteen to twelve. Tigerts Valley, Avery Rawspinagle now underneath the basket.

Speaker 4 (33:45):
A little pushing and a little shoving.

Speaker 3 (33:50):
Foul is going to be called on Trenton Brock number
two on him.

Speaker 4 (33:55):
Jacob Walmsley at the line.

Speaker 3 (33:57):
Walmsley, the leading leading scorer on the team or second
leading scorer, averages sixteen point six a game. First free
throws up and no good. Walmsley just a.

Speaker 4 (34:12):
Thirty three percent free throw shooter on the season.

Speaker 3 (34:15):
Second one up, bounced around, hit every part of the
rim and fell through eighteen to twelve. Pogonnas County trailing.
They have the basketball with forty five seconds to go
opening quarter. Tried to go underneath the Van devenderball, smacked around,
tipped around, fought for and out of bounds. Caden Moore

(34:37):
goes over and falls down in front of the bench,
helped up by Van Devender. Nice sportsmanship by Pocahonnas County
Warriors to inbound quarter court directly across from us. They
bring it in to Burgess. Burgess works with it on
the right wing. Trap double team taken away by Kendel Armstrong.
He's gonna drive the length of the floor. Shot is up.

Speaker 4 (34:58):
No good God his own rebound. Get it to Avery
Rawls Spinagle.

Speaker 3 (35:01):
He put it up an end. Nice ball movement there
bye the Bulldogs. Now Here is the pass in the
corner to workmen. Workmen bounce pass in the corner to Burgess.
Burgess dribbles around top of the key to Van deven Or.
Van Devender drives down the right side of the lane,

(35:23):
runs into Kate and Moore. But I think they're gonna
call that on Kate and Moore. No check me on
that they're gonna call that against Avery Rowlspinagle.

Speaker 4 (35:34):
He was in the area as well, just the third
team foul of the quarter.

Speaker 3 (35:40):
So the Warriors to trigger it in under their own basket,
looking looking looking, they work it into work. When he
catches shoots really quickly, it doesn't go rebound to mcquan
back up and in. Nice job by McQueen there to
clean it up. That takes us to the end of.

Speaker 4 (35:56):
The first quarter twenty to fourteen. Tiger's Valley on top.

Speaker 3 (36:00):
We're back in sixty seconds on ninety four point seven

a new player into the ball game. That's Cash Bears
b E E rs and a foul is called on

(37:44):
Avery Ralphs Spinagle on the rebound as Beers couldn't get
the basket to fall just underway and Beers will step
to the line. He'll get two. Shot is up, makes it.

Speaker 4 (38:26):
And Adam Woods.

Speaker 3 (38:30):
The second free throw by Beers is up and good
Bell has a top of the key, works it to
Adam Woods. Wood crossover dribble comes back out between the
circles to Kendall Armstrong. Armstrong working with a thought about
a three, it's not there, works it into the corner
Parker Bell.

Speaker 4 (38:48):
He'll fire up a three. It will not go and the.

Speaker 3 (38:52):
Rebound pulled down by Pocahontas County into the front court
is Van Devender, wide open lane. They forgot about him.

Speaker 4 (39:03):
He just looked. It parted and right down the middle
he went. Cuts the lead to two. Twenty to eighteen.

Speaker 3 (39:09):
Now on the other side, Kenda Armstrong to Parker Bell,
Bell up underneath, down low, puts a shot up.

Speaker 4 (39:16):
It gets partially deflected. It'll go out of bounds, last
touching Pocahonnas County. So it was twenty to fifteen.

Speaker 3 (39:31):
It's a three to zero run here to start the
second quarter for Pocahontas County. Or check me a four
to zero run. He's twenty to fourteen. Now here's Parker Bell.
Got that range, He got the three and he knocks
it down.

Speaker 4 (39:44):
Twenty three eighteen.

Speaker 3 (39:46):
Tiger's Valley on top six forty to go, while almost
stolen away by Parker Bell. Now a fight for it.
It goes out of bounds too, Tiger's Valley. Parker Bell
and Adam Woods combined to knock it off the leg
of Ben Workman. Caden Moore checked back into the ballgame.
Jacob Walmsley gets a little breather. Turn over number nine

(40:13):
against Pocahontas County. They trail twenty three eighteen. Now here's
Parker Bell drives down, hands it to Aiden Ferris. Ferris
to the lane and he scores. Give the assistant. Parker
Bell makes it twenty five eighteen into the front court.
Now it's Beers. Beers gets it to Van Devens or
Van deven to wrap around, pass, tipped around, tipped around

(40:33):
and knocked out of bounds to Pocahontas County. Ken Armstrong
gets a breather, Avery Raulse Spinagle back in.

Speaker 4 (40:45):
See you've got.

Speaker 3 (40:47):
More Bell, Ferris, Woods and Raul Spinagle inbounds. Play comes
in quick turnaround. Dylan Dunns it will not go. A
tie up on the rebounds, sends it to the Bulldogs.
Twenty five eighteen. Tiger's Valley with the lead and the basketball.

(41:11):
Parker Belle runs the point, comes on the right wing
to Avery Rowse Spanagle stops and pops from twelve. It
will not go rebound. Controlled by Aidan Ferris. He took
it away from Pocahontas County. Now here's Spinagal driving in
off glass. Scores twenty seven to eighteen. Tiger's Valley's largest

(41:34):
lead of the night is at nine.

Speaker 4 (41:38):
Into the front court is Dylan Duns.

Speaker 3 (41:40):
Duns working against pressure, dribbled the ball off of the
foot of Avery Raulse Spinagle. It'll stay with Pocahonnas County.
Van Devender brings it in to Dylan Duns for the Warriors.
They get it to Beers. Beers looking bounce past. On
the near side. De VanDevender working against Adam Woods. They

(42:02):
work it underneath driving in. Nice shot by Dylan Duns.
He broke into the basket and laid it over the rim.
Twenty seven to twenty seven point lead. Here's another three
on the way from Adam Woods. This time, no good
rebound to Pocahontas County. Into the front court comes Duns.
He drives in against aid and Ferris. Ferris left his feet.

(42:25):
He'll get called for the foul. That's number one on
him and Dylan Duns. Du n Z steps to the
free throw line just to our left, puts the free
throw up, rattled it in five o three to go

(42:48):
in the first half, twenty seven to twenty one. Tigers
Valley on top. Make it twenty seven to twenty two.

Speaker 4 (42:54):
Is Duns knocks down both free throws.

Speaker 3 (42:59):
Parker Bill comes into the front court, turns on the Jets,
splits a double team, tries the reverse layup.

Speaker 4 (43:04):
It won't go.

Speaker 3 (43:06):
Rebound pulled down by Aidan Ferris, and then he threw
it away. So three tick marks on the stat sheet,
a misshot by Bell, a rebound and a turnover. Five
point lead for Tiger's Valley. Here's a long three on
the way from Van Divender. It will not fall and
the rebound pulled down by Caden More.

Speaker 4 (43:27):
Outlet pass ahead to a streaking Adam Woods.

Speaker 3 (43:30):
Then he lays it in twenty nine to twenty two.
Tigers Valley's lead is at seven. Now they work it
underneath a fight for the basketball, a tie up. It'll
stay with Pocahontas County. Van Devender's gonna get a little
break Devon Burgess checks back in Burgess with three fouls,

(43:53):
all of those accumulating in.

Speaker 4 (43:55):
The first quarter.

Speaker 3 (43:56):
Warriors to inbound it, looking looking They come way out
high to the top of the key to Duns. He
gets it to Beers on the left wing. Ball poked
away by Parker Bell, back to Duns, tip it underneath
the Ben Workman and he lays it in. Nice ball
movement by Pocahontas County to make it a five point.

Speaker 4 (44:13):
Lead for Tigers Valley.

Speaker 3 (44:15):
Parker Bell sets up on the right wing, looking underneath
nothing there has to pick up his dribble, brings it
to Adam Woods. Adam Woods down the right side of
the lane, kicks it in the corner to Parker Bell.
Bell's gonna fire up a three from the corner. It
won't go rebound to Aiden Ferris. He'll bring it out
and they'll reset the offense. Ferris drives into the lane,

(44:38):
puts the shot up no good rebound to Pocahontas County.
Bounce pass underneath Ben Workman got behind the defense and
laid it in again.

Speaker 4 (44:49):
Workman's got four. It's twenty nine to twenty sixth Tiger's Valley.

Speaker 3 (44:54):
With three and a half to go in the first half,
Parker Bell drives down the right side of the lanes
that the double team has his shot rejected. Rebound comes
down to Pocahontas County. There's a drive, a shoot, a
score by Dylan Dunn's and he is fouled. Fowl's gonna

(45:16):
be called on Avery Rawspinagle. That's three on him. Adam
Scott into the ballgame. Jacob Walmsley back in, Caden Moore,
Ian Harris and Adam Woods. Free throw is up and good,
and we are tied at twenty nine. Tiger's Valley had

(45:42):
a nine point lead and now it's cut. Now here's
Scott on the other side. He'll put up a three
from the deep left corner.

Speaker 4 (45:48):
It won't go. Walmsley with the rebound.

Speaker 3 (45:51):
He missed the shot and we're coming the other way
Pocahontas County again. Workman missed the snowbird layup, could not
get it to go. Rebound down by Tiger's Valley. Bulldogs
long cross court passed three from the corner in and out.

Speaker 4 (46:06):
No good, Ian Harris with the rebound back to Scott
fifteen footter. It won't go. Harris pulls down the rebound again.
Another tie up. Oh no, this is a foul.

Speaker 3 (46:19):
Foul is called on Devin Burgess. That is number four
on Burgess on the rebound. A lot and I mean
a lot of action on that with no points. Now
on the other side, here is an airball fired up by.

Speaker 4 (46:38):
Adam Woods from about twelve feet away.

Speaker 3 (46:42):
A tie up on the rebound. Actually a foul on
the rebound. That one called against Jacob Walmsley. That's number
two on mister Walmsley. Tied to twenty nine with two
forty to go until halftime. Pocahontas County with the basketball.
Here is a long top of the key three, no

(47:03):
good for Devin Burgess, rebound ring out of there by
Jacob Walmsley. He gets it to Ian Harris in the corner.
Now they work it underneath the Walmsley Walmsley trapped there, bumped, pushed,

to Pocahontas County to twelve to go in the first half,
twenty nine to twenty nine our score Tiger's Valley in
Pocahontas County. The Warriors from Pocahontas County with the basketball.

(47:59):
They work it in the corner, tried to give and go,

Harris works it in the corner. Now they get it
out to Caden Moore. He drives in, shot is up
and he is thoul foul that time is going to

Lead thirty four to thirty three.

Speaker 3 (01:04:57):
We're about a minute away from the tip on the
second half. Let's take a look at the stats for
Pocahontas County. Shooting cold and I twelve out of twenty
five from the floor, two out of six from three
point range. That's forty eight percent overall, thirty three percent
from behind the arc, and they are eighty eight percent
at the free throw line. Seven out of eight free

(01:05:18):
throws have gone down for Pocahonnas County thirteen rebounds, ten turnovers,
and one block. Led in scoring by Carter Van Devender.
He's got sixteen Dylan Dunn's with seven, Ben Workman has six,
Matthew mcquain and Cash.

Speaker 4 (01:05:33):
Beers with two points each.

Speaker 3 (01:05:35):
Devin Burgess and Trenton block Brock have both played but
have not scored for Tigers. Valley not shooting nearly as
well thirty five percent eleven out of thirty one from
the floor, including three out of twelve from three point range,
nine out of seventeen at the free throw line. That's
fifty three percent. Fifteen rebounds, two turnovers, six steals for

(01:05:58):
the Bulldogs. They are led in scoring by Kendall Armstrong.
He's got seven, Ian Harris with six, five points for Avery,
Ral Spinagle and Jacob Walmsley, three points for Parker Bell,
Caden Moore, Aiden Ferris, Adam Woods have two. Apeace and
Adam Scott has played but has not scored. Starters are out.

(01:06:19):
Parker Bell gets the start here in the second half.
It will be Bell, Harris, Armstrong, Moore and Walmsley for
Pocahontas County, McQueen, Burgess, duns Brock and Van Devender and
we are under way. Pocahontas County gets the ball to
start the second half. Tight defense by this Tiger's Valley

(01:06:42):
Bulldog team. They're watching Van Devender as he works it
over on the left side to McQueen. Thought about a three,
It's not there. Duns takes the quick pass inside, drives in,
and just like that, Pokahonnas County has a lead thirty five,
thirty four, their first lead of the night. Jacob Walmsley
for Tiger's Valley has it left side three on the

(01:07:03):
way in and out. Tough luck miss for Parker Bell
rebound to Pocahontas County Warriors with a one point lead.
In the basketball, here's Van Divender drives in. His shot
is rejected out of bounds by Kendal Armstrong. Oh no,
he knocked it off of Van Devender, so it'll go
to Tiger's Valley.

Speaker 4 (01:07:23):
Excuse me.

Speaker 3 (01:07:26):
Ian Harris dribble jogs into the front court, pushes it
over on the right side to Kendal Armstrong, top of
the key to Walmsley. Walmsley to Harris, he wants a
three right wing in and out. No good and the
rebound pulled down by Pocahonnas County Warriors. Fifteen rebounds now

(01:07:46):
almost a turnover. They kick it on the right side,
driving in, shot is up no good to tie up.
Stolen away by Caden Moore and he is going to
be fouled on the floor by mcquain. Kate and Moore
stripped the ball away, went down to his rear. End
was trying to find a teammate to pass it to.

(01:08:08):
Mcquaan reached down and poked at the ball and got
him on the arm. Thirty five, thirty four Pocahontas County
with the lead. Tiger's Valley with the basketball. Kateen Moore
has it out high. They get it on the left
side to Ian Harris thought about shooting it, it's not
there now he'll drive in, kick it out high.

Speaker 4 (01:08:30):
Kendal Armstrong three for the lead. It won't go.

Speaker 3 (01:08:33):
Jacob Walmsley has the rebound taken out of his hands
into the hands of Pocahontas County Warriors.

Speaker 4 (01:08:39):
Drive down Van Devendor.

Speaker 3 (01:08:41):
Nobody's filed by Kenda Armstrong. Number one on Kendal Armstrong.
Tigers Valley offensively just not finding the buckets here as
they trailed by a point. Carter Van Devender at the line.
Two out of three from there. Tonight first one up,

(01:09:01):
good two point lead for the Warriors. You know it's
an old cliche. You can throw the record out the
window when these two teams meet, but you.

Speaker 4 (01:09:14):
Got them in it.

Speaker 3 (01:09:17):
Pokahonnas County one win on the season, Tigers Valley one Laws,
but right now Pocahontas County in command by three thirty
seven thirty four, with six minutes to go in the
third quarter. They work it underneath Caden Moore goes hard
to the basket. He can't get it to go Kendal Armstrong.

Speaker 4 (01:09:33):
Rebound back up. An in Kendal Armstrong right place, right time,
puts it back up.

Speaker 3 (01:09:39):
It's thirty seven thirty six, Pokahonnas County with the lead
in the basketball. They work it to Burgess. Burgess on
the right side. Here is a long shot up and
no good by mcquain. Rebound pulled down by Van Devender
up Pocahontas County. He can't get it to go. Rebound
this time to Kendal Armstrong. They get it to Parker

(01:10:01):
Bell Bell right wing push pass near side. Ian Harris
stops and pops from twelve. It won't go ran down
his own rebound. They'll reset the offense. Bell has it
works behind his green at the top of the key.
Now he push it down the right side of the lane.

Speaker 4 (01:10:16):
Shut us up. Shot is good.

Speaker 3 (01:10:19):
The little guy drives the lane and Tigers Valley's back
on top.

Speaker 4 (01:10:23):
Thirty eight, thirty seven, five ten to go. Here's Van Devender.
Now top of the key, cut off there by.

Speaker 3 (01:10:32):
Walmsley works it over on the right side. Now top
of the key to mc queen, quick pass underneath. Shot
is up. Shot is good deal and Dun's got behind
the defense and laid it in. Thirty nine thirty eight.
Pocahontas County on top by a point. Now here's Ian Harris.
He'll drive down the lane. Kick it to Parker Bell
quick release thirty back of the iron, No good.

Speaker 4 (01:10:54):
Rebound, pulled down by Pocahontas County.

Speaker 3 (01:10:59):
Thirty nine to thirty eight. Pocahontas County on top. Ball
poked out of bounds. It'll stay with the Warriors. The
one place on the court that I can't see is
in the deep right corner on the far side, and
they have played most of the game right there in bounds.

Speaker 4 (01:11:18):
Play comes into Duns. Duns works with.

Speaker 3 (01:11:20):
It, pushes it over on the left side, watched there
by Kendall Armstrong.

Speaker 4 (01:11:25):
Parker Bell stepped in front of it, intercepts.

Speaker 3 (01:11:28):
It, drive, shoots no rebound comes down to Pocahontas County.
Parker Bell steals it right back, two steals on back
to back possessions.

Speaker 4 (01:11:38):
They working underneath Jacob Walmsley hard of the basket. He
lays it in.

Speaker 3 (01:11:45):
Parker Bell back to back steals leads to points. It's
forty to thirty nine. Tiger's Valley on top. Now on
the other side, here's Van Devender, has his shot rejected
by Jacob Walmsley. We're coming the other way. They get
it into the hands of Parker Bell. Bell under the baseline,
bounce pass in the corner, Kenda Armstrong free.

Speaker 4 (01:12:05):
He got it. Forty three thirty nine.

Speaker 3 (01:12:12):
Tiger's Valley jumps back out to a four point lead
with three thirty five to go third quarter.

Speaker 4 (01:12:17):
Top of the key, here's Van Divnder, he'll fire a three.
It won't go.

Speaker 3 (01:12:21):
Rebound pull down by Tiger's Valley. Bulldogs into the front court,
driving in Parker Bell. He's hammered on his way to
the basket by Carter Van Devender. Number three on Van
Divender and Parker Bell to the free throw line. Bell

(01:12:42):
ready at the line to the left free throw up
and good. Bell, a seventy three percent free throw shooter
on the season, knocks the first one down. Kaden Moore
gets a breather. Avery Rowlspinagle checks in three twenty six
to go. It's a five point lead for Tigers.

Speaker 4 (01:13:03):
Valley shot up and in and out, no good.

Speaker 3 (01:13:05):
Carter Van Devender skies for the rebound for Pocahonnas County Warriors.
Duns gets it to Van Devender, working against Walmsley at
the foul line, has the ball poked away.

Speaker 4 (01:13:16):
Van Devender runs it down.

Speaker 3 (01:13:18):
Ian Harrison Parker Bell both went for the steel, collided
with each other and knocked the ball out of bounds.
Here right in front of our broadcast location quarter court.
Warriors retain possession. Duns has it slowly, comes into the
front court, works around the screen. Parker Bell harassing him,

(01:13:39):
goes all the way under and he's going to be
bumped and fouled. Fowl's going to be called on Parker Bell,
Bell his first foul, second team foul. Pocahonnas County sets
up a stack under the basket. They get it into

(01:14:00):
he'll drive the basket. Parker Bell block the shot from behind.
Van Dievender has his shot blocked. Now here's Parker Bell
on the other side, weaving in and out of traffic
top of the key to Ian Harris hopstep in the lane.
Shot is up, it won't go rebound knocked out of
bounds to Pocahontas County.

Speaker 4 (01:14:20):
A block by Parker Bell.

Speaker 3 (01:14:22):
Nice job there, as he blocked the shot by Van Divender.
Five point lead for Tigers Valley with two and a
half to go in the third quarter. Van Devender has
it on the left wing, comes to the near side
to Burgess. Here's a deep right corner. Three comes off
the side of the iron. It is no good by

(01:14:45):
Duns driving in Tender Armstrong with the rebound, the layup
and he's fouled. Kendle Armstrong fouled by Dylan Duns.

Speaker 4 (01:14:57):
That is number four Duns and Kendall Armstrong at the line.

Speaker 3 (01:15:06):
An eighty percent free throw shooter knocks it down forty
seven thirty nine. The lead is ballooned down to eight
points with two twenty to go third quarter. Pocahontas County
tries to work it underneath. The ball swatted around, swatted around,
tip tipped out of bounds.

Speaker 4 (01:15:26):
To Pocahontas County.

Speaker 3 (01:15:28):
I think it touched everybody on the floor at one point.
Warriors bring it in to Van Divender. He catches it
and it over and back. Van Divender went up, caught it,
his foot was over the line. It'll go down as
another turnover. Fifteen unofficial turnovers against Pocahontas County. Tiger's Valley

(01:15:56):
brings it in to Ian Harris. Harris works to the
right side, cut off. There comes to Kendall Armstrong thought
about a three. It's not there. He'll drive in, fire
up elbow Wright, No, and the rebound comes down to
Pocahontas County.

Speaker 4 (01:16:13):
They are doing a good job on the boards tonight
are the Warriors.

Speaker 3 (01:16:17):
Now here's Van Devender and he traveled with the basketball.

Speaker 4 (01:16:22):
I thought he got away with a travel at the top.

Speaker 3 (01:16:24):
Of the key, but then he went down, ran into
a steel wall of Tiger's Valley and fell down. One minute,
forty seven seconds to go forty seven thirty nine Tiger's
Valley on top. We're back at thirty second ninety four
point seven.

Speaker 4 (01:16:38):

They work it to Jacob Walmsley's strong move. Shot is up,

(01:17:39):
no good out of bounds to Pocahontas County. Walmsley's struggling
a little bit tonight. Seven points for the Big Man,
forty seven thirty nine Pocahontas County trails.

Speaker 4 (01:17:54):
They have the basketball now.

Speaker 3 (01:17:55):
Driving all the way in as Dylan Dunns it won't
gound the head to Tiger's Valley. That's Kendall Armstrong, little
out of control and he missed the layup. Rebound to
the Warriors and of the front court. Now is Luke
Taylor just into the ballgame for Pocahontas County. Shot is up,

no good rebound, back up and end by Dylan Dunns.
Brock On the miss done there to clean it up.
Forty seven, forty one, six point lead. Now here's Parker Bell.
