(00:08):
How you doing right up here?Right up? You know the fucking vibe.
What we're talking about, money, what we're talking about. What they're
talking about this money what I'm talkingabout. Yeah, yeah, Yeah,
Good evening, y'all. Good evening, y'all. Welcome back. It's what
we're talking about the podcast. I'myour host Cake Life Goods and this is
(00:29):
what we're talking about. And I'myour host wild I Magic Mo. Yeah.
So what's good man, I'm saying, talk to me, what's up
with you? Man? Man?You know, I was, um,
you know, just thinking about somethings, and uh, I was wondering,
you know, what type of platformsdo we need to have and the
(00:50):
entertainment business to help everybody, youknow, to springboards and you know the
spring boards. You know a lotof people do showcases. Some people,
you know, they try to gathertheir friends and um, you know,
you know, put together their ownsmall shows, you know, things of
that nature. But what's necessary rightnow, what's necessary you know, to
(01:14):
springboard careers? Right right there wego, so to springboard careers. Yeah.
So it's a lot of things that'sgoing on right now. Um,
social media wise, radio wise, especially out here on the island, that's
(01:37):
going on that you know. Uh, yeah, you guys got a lot
of stuff going on along island rightnow. Man, it's a lot going
on out here. And so Iwent to an event um that our previous
guests we had on eningetic he hadput together a show at um what's the
name of that place if you wantto remember, Shakers, Shakers, right,
(01:57):
yeah, Shakers. I got tosee a lot of the artists out
here in Long Island, and theseguys are talented, just like a lot
of places in um, you know, in the city in the States,
you know, a lot of differentplaces. You know, you got these
small, small clubs, and yougot a lot of talented people. When
(02:19):
you do showcases at these small clubs, they come out, you know,
And that's what we need we needto but we also need to find more
um. We need to we needto have the fans, and we need
to have the artists, and weneed to have the entertainment business support the
lower level UM showcasing and promoting companies. You know, we definitely need to
(02:42):
have more of that. Absolutely, more interaction. Yeah, we need more
interaction with that. Well, well, um, our guess that um that's
coming on tonight. You know,we've been, um, you know,
from Queens to Riches, from Queensto long and you know we've been in
the mix and then just in thelast couple of weeks since I've known Rich,
(03:06):
we've just been in the mixing, just mucking things up as far as
as far as the levels of thismusic thing. Now, I've seen you.
I see what you're doing. I'veseen you out out and about mixing
and mingling, networking and um,you know, on to the showcases.
Uh, going to the different umyou know some what we like to do
(03:31):
here, Neil, we have smokeevents, but these are the networking uh
places. This week we go tonetwork you know, it's like pop up
shops, um, you know, they definitely you know a lot of boutiques.
These are the places that people,um that are getting started in the
music business when they want to youknow, promote themselves after they've been in
(03:53):
hiding or writing for a year orhowever long they've been you know, in
the cut right and music and thenthey decide to come out. You know,
they want to find somewhere to getstarted. So it's usually one of
these mom and pop boutiques or oneof these uh you know, small small
clubs where they can go and showcasetheir talents. You know what I'm saying.
But we definitely need more, um, we need more support from the
(04:17):
community. We have to have moresupport from the community, you know,
especially when it comes to entertainment whentrying to support these guys, you know,
because they're working hard and they're they'rethey're making good music. Definitely,
there's many ways to support too.Yeah, there's many ways to support.
It's not only financially, it's manyother ways to support. Yeah, just
(04:38):
showing up. Sometimes you just gottashow up to the to the event.
Excuse me, um, you know, you know, purchase a pair of
socks, Cake Life socks. Youunderstand, you have to do that.
You don't have to just you know, take you know, because in my
organization we talk about this a lot. One of my guys, my shout
out to my dude popsy Um.He always says, oh, you know,
(05:03):
take that that, you know, don't go out you know this weekend
and and and don't go out andspend money on drinking, and don't go
out and spend money on we youknow, take that money and utilize that
in a way to either promote yourself. You know, to use it in
a in a way that's going tohelp you. You know what I'm saying.
(05:23):
If you do that, and thenand then when it comes to you
doing it, and then you're inthe music business and you're trying to get
yourself acclimated, you have to putmoney behind yourself. You can't look for
an investor right away. You haveto build yourself up. You can't just
jump into the into the into thewater with the sharks and you don't know
how to swim with the sharks.Shit. So you gotta be prepared.
(05:46):
You understand, preparation is key.Yeah, yeah, yeah, definitely,
Preparation is key to success. Yougotta be prepared. So yeah, so
yeah, definitely. But um,we're gonna bring out our guest soon.
I mean he's going to elaborate onthis subject here. Yeah. Now we're
gonna go We're gonna go right inand we're gonna just fast forward and we're
(06:08):
gonna move all the way through howwe're moving through the island. And you
know what I'm saying, Well,a lot of you are part of that.
So you know a lot of timesyou're not up to speed on the
Long Island chapter. Yeah, I'mgetting used to it. Guys. I'm
yeah, you know I am.I'm an uptown cat. You know.
I grew up in the Bronx.I grew up in Harlem, Um.
(06:30):
You know, these are the twoplaces that you know I lived. I
lived in the Bronx, but Iwent to school in Halem and I stayed
at my aunt's house, you know, in hallm you know, so I
wouldn't have to travel all the wayback to UH to the Bronx. You
know, I could just stay atmy aunt's house and then you know,
go back to school. Yea,we were bringing We bringing Long Island to
the city, the city to theLong Island however you want to look at
(06:54):
it. We're bringing it to y'alllive and direct every week. So you
know what I'm saying for both sectors, we need to get in tune and
start winning together. Yeah, definitely, guys. We gotta figure it.
We gotta bridge the gap, people, We gotta bridge the gap. We
gotta learn to work together. Wehave to learn to support each other,
(07:16):
and we have to learn to speakup when we see things you know that
aren't right happening. We gotta speakup when we see things happening that ain't
right part of it. We definitelygotta do that more. We gotta be
more transparent with each other. Wehave to be um. We have to
be more motivated, you know,we have to be more motivated, and
(07:40):
we gotta stay consistent. We gottastay consistent, you know. You know,
as we get older, you know, we mature, we learn these
things. But if you can learnthis, you know young, you know,
and your teams, or you canlisten to somebody when they're telling of
these things, you have a betterchance of successful at whatever you're doing.
(08:01):
It doesn't even have to just beentertainment. You just have to be focused
on something. You can't just bejumping around, you know, find out
what you're gonna do and focus onit. You know, that's really what
it is. That's how you becomesuccessful with anything. And that goes to
this music business. That goes foruh. You know, if you're trying
(08:22):
to get into the league. Youknow, the best guys get into the
league because they work the hardest. You know, you want to get into
the league, you gotta work hard. You gotta put that time, and
you have to put that time.Yeah, you know, you can't you
know, you can't. You can'tcan't start a step. You gotta run
straight. You know, you gottarun straight and just deal with things as
(08:45):
they come, you know, andalso plan for the future at the same
time. So so, UM,you know, as far as as far
as what we got going on,I'm saying what we're looking like in the
next few in the next few weeks, as far as we gotta we gotta,
UM, we're not gonna just uhstick to entertainment. We also got
some financial literacy UM topics that we'regonna touch on soon. UM. I
(09:15):
got some guests coming through that haveenlightened and educated tons of people and they
continue to do it. UM.You know, he he's Uh, I'm
gonna give a shout out to myguy, uh, Jamail Norman. Um
he's a director of Roster Power. He UM. He continues to enlighten and
(09:39):
educate brothers and sisters to um howto start businesses, how to what you
need to run a business? Uh, and the preparation side of it.
So what certifications you need? What? Um, you know, what licenses
you need to to be acclimated torun your business or just work just get
(10:03):
started working, but being able toknow what you're working for, know the
rules, you know, know theyou know, know the perimeters behind things.
Don't just jump into something and youknow, don't know what's going on.
So it's good to have people thatwant to uh, you know,
point you in the right direction. So you know, the same thing like
when we are on our topic tonight, which is um you know, pointing
(10:26):
the artists uh in the right directionand being able to work with um you
know, showcase companies that are tryingto really take their talents and uh promote
them, you know, promote themto people that are willing to invest in
(10:46):
them, you know, and takethe time to see what type of talent
they bring to the table. Soyou know, I'm excited to talk to
rich Um, you know. Anduh, you know that's just just this
week, but in the next comingof weeks. I mean, we got
so many different topics we got wegot a lot of different topics. Yet
ches, chefs, we do havea lot of different topics. Tonight were
(11:09):
powered by kick Life, the movementwhich take us hold kick Life, Chake
(11:46):
Life, cat Boams were back atit again. Y'all know that this we
can't lose m y Yeah, wentback. Yeah, we got my boy
(12:56):
Richie from Long Island Rat raid On. Richie was skilled with you, baby
boy, what's going on? What'sgoing on? Are you feeling day?
Rich chilling me? It's weather? It was the show yeah yeah, yeah,
the weather was crazy. We madeit. Yeah. Yeah, I
ain't gonna stop nobody. Yeah, definitely not. When you motivated and you're
determining and you're trying to help people. Yeah, you're gonna make sure that
(13:20):
you get there. You're gonna bepunctual. You know what I'm saying.
You're gonna have the right attitude.Um yeah, rich Yeah, what's up?
Man? You know what? What? What's the deal? And which
was what you want to talk about? Rich? But I got a couple
of questions for you today. Well, first, the first question is always
gonna be why did you get intostarting long part of me rap Radar?
(13:48):
I mean it was kind of likeI got tired of listening to music that
I thought was trash sounds like I'mgonna get out here, I'm gonna find
it, right, and then Ijust kind of started putting out you know,
uh, you know post an artistthat I thought was good. Right,
So then everyone saw the gravitating toit. No one else was doing
anything like that in the island. And then before you know, we basically
(14:09):
built like a whole blog page outof it. Queen's Orders, saw the
grab into it, we ran outthere, did another one. We got
two pages running now right, justdid a million views on Queen's Rap raid
or like wow, literally today oryesterday too. So that was pretty dope.
Okay, okay on that cool million, you know what I'm saying.
(14:31):
That's a big thing right there nowadays. Definitely gotta you know, we gotta
give around. That's fine, that'snot easy to do. Hey, So,
so Richie, let me jump intothese questions. Um, so,
what's going on with the new location? You got? Man? We got
the U so, we got theLong Island spot. Dad's got the recording
studio. We did a podcast roomand there too. We got the interviews.
(14:56):
We're doing the freestyle videos. Uyou know, we got cake Life
in the movement too. They theypopping in there. They got the whole
merch set up for the artist. So artists need merch, gotta tap in.
Yeah, so how do they findyou here? How do they how
do they find how do they howdo they tap into Long Island rap raid
(15:16):
or how do they get next toRichie himself? What's he gotta do is
hit the page. Uh, youknow one of the people on the page.
You'll answer the questions that they have. If they need my help,
they'll reach out to me. Imean. Other than that, pop out
to the events. You know, anytime you see us at an event,
that's what we're there for. Youknow, we're coming with the camera crew.
(15:37):
We got the interviews. Uh,you know, we're coming out here
to talk to artists. You know, we were at the Energetic showcase that
they were talking about before too.Yeah there. You know, we're putting
that video out soon too. Youknow. That's just you know where everywhere?
Really And how did you get started? Man? How did you really?
Like? I just did it?It was you know, I ain't
(16:00):
never been in the music game.I've only been doing this like two years.
But I didn't really know anybody inthe music game either, So you
know, I just did it justlike I was like, let's do this,
like like but like, what didyou like tell me some of the
steps you took, Like, whatdid you like? It was one of
the first things you did, oneof the first big things that we did
(16:21):
was a report card. That's whenlike we kind of basically gave artists like
credibility that they're an artist. Thatwas the goal behind it. So we
you know, we broke down alltheir skills and graded them individually by the
skills, and we did that forprobably at least I think it's like one
hundred and twenty something artists all inQueens too. That was only in Queens.
(16:45):
We're gonna we got the Long Islandone dropping I think two weeks or
so, we're gonna drop that. That's gonna be in the magazine. You
know what I'm saying. Listen,if you out there watching, you want
to join the team, right right, Okay, yeah, yeah yeah b
X. Definitely definitely stating now youknow everybody, absolutely we're not We're not
(17:10):
discriminate. Ain't no anybody. I'mgoing to North Carolina in two weeks two
for as a Queen's artist wanted usto come out, So we're coming out
supporting you know. So basically whatyou're telling me is that you support an
artist even when you're the production. You go out and you pull up,
(17:33):
you come with your camera crew, you're engaging with other artists. You're interviewing,
your you're taking pictures, You're you'reinteracting, You're you're coming at you're
really coming to mix and mingling.Never I'm holding the camera too, right
yeah, right, yeah, weout there moving like that. That's the
whole point, you know, buildthat relationship. There's a lot of artists
(17:56):
I never even heard of until Igot out there and started doing this,
and now that's some of my favoriteartists today. That's dope. You know.
It's it's crazy how you get youget blinded by these radio stations and
it's music and it's real talent outthere doesn't even get hurt. How do
you feel about the radio stations rightnow? Like you know, Hot ninety
seven, one oh five one, what is it? Ninety two three,
(18:22):
a couple of the stations. Imean there's people that represent the station that
do you know, come out supportdo things, not so much in Long
Island in the city, yet notso much in Long Island. I think
that's part of what we're trying todo right now. It's changed that,
right, So that's that's gonna change. But I mean I feel like they
(18:45):
need to they have to have thatbridge, you know, and that's what
we're trying to do, is bethat bridge. Yeah, there's not many
guys doing with you. There's notmany guys that do what you do.
Um you know, I've been I'vebeen around. Uh. I actually tried
to actually say, let me seeif I can throw a name out there.
(19:06):
But there's so many different um youknow, entrepreneurs that are trying to
showcase the artists and you know, really help them, you know, but
they're not getting the light that theydeserve. What's happening, what I see
is happening is that uh, youknow a lot of the you know,
(19:26):
the guys that have been in thein the business for years are able to
you know, cowards the artists andentertainers to you know comeing into you know,
get under their wing and right away, it's like they just kind of
abandon their their guys, their teamand everything they've been building and working for.
And I think that's kind of youknow what I'm saying, And they
(19:48):
can form to what the what thewhat the what the label wants, you
know, and and I think thatit takes away from you know, all
uh, you know, all thehard work that they've been putting it.
You know you under you understand whatI'm saying. Yeah, Well, I
mean that's why you gotta have agood team right off the bat, like
you can't. You can't rely onthe label for the team. That's just
(20:08):
the money to go out and buildthe project that you need to prove to
them that you're worth it, right, That's all that is. And without
the proper team and the proper peopleon your team, you're not gonna make
that happen. Right, So,how how do you suggest how would you
how would you handle a situation likethat? If you got, um,
you know, five to six reallygood artists and you want to try to
(20:30):
you know, um, you know, get them, you know, get
a hit record. You know, let's just be straight up. How you
want to get them to the pointthat they can get a hit record and
uh, you know push it andget to that that next level of entertainment.
You gotta make the right record, right, that's the first part.
You got to make the right record, right. You gotta have the right
(20:51):
promo behind it. You gotta putthe money behind a lot of these guys
aren't putting no money behind anything theydo. Right, They'll spend two thousand
dollars on the music video and theywon't spend twenty hours on YouTube beds.
You heard that, guys, right, you heard that right. You gotta
promote yourself if you want something totake off, if it's whatever it is,
induction and promotion, right, yougotta promote keys, spending points.
(21:18):
My guy over here, it's thebusinessman over here. You heard this.
You know you gotta do things correct. You gotta follow the right um structures,
you know, definitely definitely separate.Yeah, yeah, Ritchie, Ritchie,
Ritchie. So yeah, no,I'm saying, um, what about
the wards and queens? I'm saying, who want the awards and queens?
(21:41):
Man? About that? Yeah? All right? So we did awards this
year trying to just you know, show love to the artists that you know
deserve to get flowers because a lotof these artists are not getting the flowers
they deserve. So kyr Baby, shout out to Kaya Baby. She took
home. Shout the female artists andArtist of the Years for males also not
(22:04):
we didn't have a males category. We just had Best Female Artist and then
just Artists of the Year. Okay, so she you know that's female and
Ortist of the years only right, that's what she got, uh wrap money
Oks shout out to him. Hetook the comeback of the year because he
(22:25):
came back and he went right towork and it's it's showing what happened with
him where he was, Um hewas in a situation or whatever. And
you know he came home recently.Yeah, so you know, come back
to him year, came home andwrites to work doing this thing. Yeah,
gotta gotta stay busy. Gotta staybusy, guys. You can't slack
(22:48):
off time waits for no one,not at all. Yeah, then you
got uh we did uh DJ theyear. Okay, who's the DJ of
the year in Queens? DJA Freedomgot it this year? DJA Freedom Okay,
Yeah, I mean he would Uhwe actually pulled up for his one
year anniversary and Starlearts. He didStallarts every Monday night for one year.
(23:12):
He pulled out some big artist forthe whole year. So that was pretty
dope to So you may need freedomup here man one night man shot Freedom
hollow at us man. Yeah wegot we definitely, Um, you're definitely
gonna start bringing some DJs on andbecause DJ's really make everything, you know,
(23:33):
they kind of make everything happen. You know, you need the dj
to spend your record. You know, the DJs have to they have to
like they also have to like yourrecord. Your record has to be good
enough for them to spend it,because who's gonna spend the record and risk
their career or risk their job,you know for a record that is not
bringing in any ratings, you know, people clicking to the next station.
(23:57):
So you know, you know, you gotta think the DJs. You know,
now we also need the DJ's partof me to um, you know,
stop requiring so much money to getsome spinds. You know what I'm
saying. We definitely, you know, they gotta they gotta take it easy
with that. But uh, youknow they I understand it because, um,
(24:19):
you know, being that I youknow, I lived through the nineties,
I understand that the DJ's were treatedvery badly, and um, you
know, they they they found away to uh get control of the game
again. You understand, because withoutthese DJs, you know, you can't
(24:40):
really do anything right now. Youneed a good DJ because even while with
the labels, you go you youyou get it, you get it,
you get a contract and you geta good deal, but now you got
a bad relationship with a DJ.Like you don't want to have a bad
relationship with Funk Mass Reflex. Youwant to have a bad relationship with that
guy. Just yes, not gonnaget spun feel me. Hey rich Man,
(25:04):
I'm what's going on? Like, where can people find like like a
price sheet on like hours the timefor the studio photos? You know that.
I know you got a whole runthat was the whole slew of things
that you're doing. Now, Yeah, we got to we had a website,
but we're in the process of revampingthe whole website right now. So
(25:26):
when that comes out, that's gonnabe like the main spot to you know,
get all the information. But youknow, at the time being,
you could just DM the pages. You know, we have you know,
pre program price sheets that we sendout for whatever services they're looking for.
Okay, yeah, that's what's up. Yeah, Yeah, that's dough man,
(25:47):
that's still that's dope. So what'sone of the things that you,
um, you know, how doyou go and find these artists that you
wanna, you wanna help emote andyou want to you know, give them
some opportunity. How do you findthe artists. At this point in the
game, right now, the artistis pretty much coming to make so I
(26:08):
don't really have to find the artists. We're just basically looking at the artists
and seeing the ones that really havethe talent we need to, you know,
push them right. As far asas far as your videos is going,
right now, you're doing your ownediting. Yeah, that's dope.
You don't have no help, notright now. And that's what suck.
(26:30):
I'm saying. I've been I've beenlooking at your stuff. I'm I like,
I like the stuff you've been puttingup there. Man, appreciate that.
Good cuts, nice, nice edits. Yeah, it's it's a lot
of work because I'd be doing thesame thing on a daily basis. It's
a lot when you're doing the music, the podcast, You're doing all of
these things and you gotta do theedits. That's like mixing down a record.
(26:53):
Oh my god, I do theengineering. Well, not anymore,
so don't call me like, ohyou back. No, I'm not let
me alone. But you know, yeah, if the practice is right and
the record is good, you knowwhat I'm saying, The record gotta be
good. I don't want to bebothered. I'm not gonna be coming out
here to be working with nobody. And then you gotta be able to be
transparent and you gotta be able totake criticism. You want me to work
(27:17):
with you, I'm not gonna comeand work with you and I say something
to you. You getting your feelingslike I'm not doing that studio etiquette.
Yeah, bro, people don't gotit. They don't even know what it
is. They don't even when Iwas younger. Yeah, you gotta go.
You can. You can't google this. You gotta know that. Let
me tell you the story, right, So, Um, when I was
(27:40):
younger, I would go with mybrother in law to UM to go UH.
I would go to um KG studiosout in UH in New Jersey.
It was in Bloomfield, right rightnext to the home depot. Anybody who
did did R and B back inthe day, the two thousands, y'all
know what I'm talking about. Youknow, anybody you know what I'm talking
(28:02):
about. It that was a spotKG kg's big studio back there. So
um we did and listening to themusic, listen to the records, and
you kind of like kind of likeget a sense like yo, these guys
ain't playing it here. These guysain't wasting no time. You know what
(28:22):
I'm saying, Like everything is serious. It got to the point where if
you was in the student in thebooth too long, you know they turned
the air off. You know,I ain't gonna say the artist because you
know, I don't I don't wantnobody like, yo, man, you
ain't supposed to say that. Sobut you know they turned they turned the
ac off. Turn the ac off. Sweating in the booth while you singing
(28:45):
or wrapping. You understand what I'msaying, like, yo, you or
you're not. It ain't good enough. All right, We're gonna turn the
air. We gonna get a littlebit of oh yeah, oh you remember
that. We're nahna shout up withmy man, prophecy man, my man
from the Lower East Side. Hehad the night, He had the nice
(29:06):
studio. He had a couple ofum studio rooms. He had one studio.
We had the ac um. Itwas only blown in one area,
so the boot was a little hot. It was crazy. It was a
little hot, crazy in there,yo, crazy right here. But yeah,
(29:26):
man, studio etiquette is very importantif you're trying to make a record.
You're trying to make a record that'strying and again, and you want
that record to chart. Then youhave to have good studio etiquette. You
have to come in there with astructure. You have to come in there
with understanding of musical timing. Youhave melodic time, and you have to
(29:48):
you really got to understand music. You can't just come to the studio talking
like Yo, I'm gonna make asong. Yo, this shop is gonna
be fine. Nah, I don'tgotta nothing, damn be. I'm gonna
just going there. I'm gonna feastat least thing. This thing is gonna
be fire. No, it's not. It's not. It's not gonna be
fire. It might be super dirtif you feel me. So you gotta
(30:08):
go in there with the with theright proper etiquette. You feel me,
gotta you know what I'm saying,Yeah, correct, Yeah, you gotta
be right. There's your money onthe table, use it, you know,
right, right, you gotta dothings. You're wasting. You're wasting
the engineers time, you're wasting anybodywho came with you. You know what
I'm saying, Like, you wastingthe time, and then you're gonna have
(30:30):
definitely gonna have the cornballs with you. It's like, Yo, when I
joined this fire and it's really not. You need to get rid of them,
get rid of the people that's like, Yo, this is fire.
And then when you come and thensomebody's like, yo, White, what
was you doing? Like this shipis whacked bro, Like when you got
when you come across that real goodfriend that tells you, yo, this
ship is dirt. Yeah, Likewhen you come across to that friend,
(30:52):
then you gotta look at all otherpeople around you, like attention. So
Richie, Um, what all theshow you're working with now? Uh?
Like as far as what because weworked with different artists in different ways.
Yeah, I know you worked inwhat I'm saying, whichever way you like.
We just did a few interviews withuh. We did uh Tony Newberry.
(31:17):
We did an interview with him andJettic, DJ K dav Um.
Who else do we get des V? We did uh open Mic Night.
So we did a lot of videosfor the people that perform. We all,
you know, everyone that performing puta video together for So we did
that for those guys. Uh,you know pretty much. You know,
(31:41):
we use people in the studio thatcome you know we only charged y'all.
Do any work with um cash Smugger? Nah, I don't think so.
No, shout out, shout outto cashmugg It's possible. I don't know
where's he from me from Long Allen? All right? Where that though?

(32:04):
far out there yet, Okay, definitely definitely yeah, yeah, definitely,
y'all look out for my guy.You know what I'm saying. Yeah,
yeah, we definitely Yo, Yomugga, if you're watching this, we're
gonna need you to tap in LongIsland Radar rap raid off part of me,
you know I'm saying, and getwith it. You feel we're gonna
need to see you in that nextshowcase A right, yeah work yeah.
(32:24):
So yeah, man, this isum. You're giving me a little more
information. But what I want toknow too is UM, before you started,
you know, doing Long Island rapraidar, you was you was into
He was like, I'm like attackhim. Yeah, yeah, he was
(32:45):
working. Yeah, we're just workingon like jets and yeah I did.
I did provate jets for a fewyears and then uh, just all the
body doing all the jets though,Like he was getting You don't get the
fly now right here? Nah,we don't. We just did them.
Uh okay, you know we didthe hole interis and stuff like that,
like big celebrity planes and stuff.I don't know if I'm allowed to say
(33:07):
the names on the TV. Souh yeah, yeah, you know,
we don't. Definitely don't. Yeah, n DNA probably definitely. That's why
I wouldn't be surprised. I mean, yeah, that's dope. So you
got you got a serious trade withyou too, then you can you can
you can get to where you thenwe get busy. Yeah, you can
do all my own stunts. Okay, all right, we keep that in
(33:29):
mind. Definitely, if we're gonnakeep that in mind right there. Definitely.
Uh yeah, so we're going toum, we're gonna take a break
and we'll be right back, allright. Yeah, I gotta let her
(34:05):
know Dad, he ain't done. You know, I want to go.
I gotta get money, money, money. Don't tell you why you mean
you don't try to keep your thingot here? I say he should,
(34:27):
but he's charged up trying to seeyou better, get your fun better.
He shouldn't tell everybody with again,he doesn't care because you know the industry
is about the wise and he ain'tgoing to chicken Chack put the money and
shake shake shaken, put money,Chack, Chack chacking, put the money,
(34:47):
m kick like check place Cato. Were back at it again. Y'all
(35:17):
know that this we can't lose.And we're back. We're back, We're
back. We still got rich withus. You know, we had one
ship with a soloeen to leave.Yeah, yeah, no, the richa.
You gotta get out of statements.Yeah, I'm with it, okay,
(35:39):
cool, Yeah, you can't justbe volunteering this guy's time like that.
He's a busy guy. What areyou doing? You right? You
right? My bad, I'm sorry. You know what I'm saying. You're
gonna order the pizza now too? Then? You know what I'm saying,
Pizza place is closed. Tried.Yeah, we definitely tried that before the
show started. But yeah, youknow, rich Man, I'm I want
(36:04):
to kind of joke about this umpodcast you just started. You know what
I'm saying, Um, let's toucha little bit on what it's gonna consist
of. Have you started shooting andyou know, things of that nature.
Well, basically we're gonna just beuh you know, trying to promote artists
from the local area, bringing themon the show. It's gonna be two
(36:27):
hosts and then hopefully to all thisat the time, is what I'm hoping
to do. You know, maybetwo artists I don't even know each other.
If we could go that route, that'd be cool and just talk about
you know, what's going on,uh, you know, tips and tricks,
things going on in the industry, shows, things that Dave accomplished,
you know, just just talk.Yeah, that's fire. I like the
(36:52):
sound of that. So all thisss. Make sure y'all tap in. When
is when is this something? Whenis this starting? When can they when
can they start up? Coming on? Like next month or so? Okay,
probably month out. Okay, Yeah, so y'all, y'all look up
look out for that on Long Islandrat raid though. I should be hitting
(37:13):
the airwave soon. WI you gotsomething. No, I'm just looking at
the you know, the chat tonight. I see we got a lot of
people in the building tonight. Yeah, you know what I'm saying. We
got something, you know, wegot some appreciate we appreciate, we appreciate
all the supporters that tuned in tonight. You know, you know, I'm
(37:34):
just oh, y'all, look y'all. I know you guys looking at me,
like, what is Miami looking? It's looking down again, he's looking
down. Well, I'm just checkingout the chat. I just wanted to
see how busy it was, youknow, she was going on with the
crowd and whatnot. Um, yeah, you know, I definitely I have
some more questions for you, butum, before I got into them,
I just wanted to know, youknow, what made you you know and
(38:00):
this? You know, I knowI'm going I'm backtracking, but what made
you say I'm gonna leave. I'mgonna focus all my time on um Long
Island wrap raightar versus, you know, building jets and you know, working
on cars, and you know, because that's good money right there. Yeah,
(38:23):
So like I quit that, youknow, I just walked away from
that. I was done with itbecause like you think it's good money,
but it's not. It's the sameas he was working anywhere else. So
I was like, why am Ilosing my whole day punching a clock for
this guy while he's making millions ofdollarsneurship. You know what I'm saying that
I could be out here, Icould work from like two am to ten
(38:45):
am and then have the whole dayto just get out there and work right
making the same money. What's thedifference? Yeah, and following your dreams.
I get it. That's why Iwanted to touch on that, because
I knew that you were going tohave the right information to give to these
to our fans and supporters, becauseat the end of the day, what
we're talking about is all about enlighteningpeople and giving them, you know,
(39:09):
some more information, you know, even if we're just becoming privy to it,
or if there's some information that we'vegained in the past. So you
know, that's definitely one of thethings that we want to do over here
too, at what we're talking about, you know. So yeah, so
what do you see yourself about fiveyears? Man? What do you see?
(39:30):
Let me see? Let me saythat. Let me say this,
Where do you see Long Island rapradar in five years? It should be
doing good. I mean that shouldn'teven have to be there anymore. I
think the team out there is strongenough to the point where you know,
it's gonna be self sustainable, It'sgonna be operating at a high fishing level.
It's probably gonna be as far asI'm concerned, I think it's gonna
(39:52):
be the number one spot on LongIsland, right, I think it already
is the number one spot on LongIsland. It's just not um, it's
not a supposed enough yet, right, but uh, you know that's gonna
be just gonna be something cool tojust look back at. Right, what
do you Yeah, we're doing that, but now we're gonna be just keep
moving, right. What do youthink of some of the ways that you
(40:14):
can promote your business, you knowa little bit better? Um? I
mean for me personally, I justgotta finish, Like you know, we
constantly build them right now, Likeyou know, I got the We just
hired an engineer, uh like amonth ago. So now I got him
in there, and we're ripping apartthe studio and you know, you know,
(40:36):
we're getting you know, mics andApolo interfaces and uh, you can
bring them, my engineer out ofme. What kind of with Apollo?
You got which one the sixteen orthe eight? Um? I think it's
just the eighth. Yeah, it'sit's nothing crazy. But and then now
we had to get the avalon.Yeah, you gotta have. So you
(40:59):
gotta have avalon. You gotta havean avalon. Facts you cannot do.
You can't do R and B musicwithout the aralon. You understand, you
can't do it. It won't soundright. You need it to ben,
you know, to give it thatum, that certain level of clarity and
that certain it's like it's like abubble around the voice. You know what
I'm saying. You need that avalon. I want to get to you know,
(41:21):
get a little excited. We start, you know, talking about you
know what talking about um, youknow, different pieces of equipment, you
know. Yeah, So I meanwe're just building really uh you know,
we have we have artists we workwith non stop, right, but uh,
you know, until it's like onehundred percent, I'm not I'm not
trying to really put it out likeheavy, heavy, until I know that
(41:44):
what we have is gonna blow outeverything around us and really do the right
thing for the artists mostly right. And that's what it's about. It's about
doing the right thing for the artists, about pointing them in the right direction.
It's about giving them the right levelof information, you know, so
that they can make the right decisions. You know, That's That's how I
(42:05):
feel. And what you're doing isuh, it's not easy. We need
more people to do it. Youknow, we need people to support each
other. Um, you know,we have to we have to do that,
people, We have to do thatif we want to see um each
other do good you know, orprosper you know, or you can end
(42:28):
up just being a consumer and justyou know, you know, just go
to work every day and just bethe you know, the robot or you
know. You know. The choiceis yours, yours, you understand.
So rich Man, tell us,tell us what Long Island rap raid on,
(42:49):
gotten stole for Long Island queens inold other burrows for the rest of
twenty twenty three. Man, Iknow it's a lot, dude. We
definitely got a lot going on.We're breaking out, We're gonna be breaking
out a freestyle show. That's gonnabe that's gonna be big because you know
what I'm saying, I feel likethere's nowhere to really go and get that
(43:12):
freestyle vibe from Long Island, likethat real, real freestyle shit. You
gotta make sure you give us thelocation in the date too, so that
we can pull up facts. Youcan pull up. Definitely, that's gonna
be big. You know, thereport cards are coming from Long Island.
We haven't done that yet. Weonly did it in Queens, so that's
gonna be That's gonna be good forthose guys. You know. So,
(43:35):
do you have like a team ofguys that go out and listen to the
music, or do you, um, you know, research the artist and
just listen to all the music yourself, or do you have a bunch of
guys that do that. Uh Well, for the most part, it's been
a lot of me and then Ihave a few people help me out here
and there, and then uh,you know, we just kind of I
(44:00):
put it all together and then weall kind of look it over and see
how everybody feels about it, andthen we just you know, that's how
we do it. Right. Youhave any social media live events going on
at any any of the establishments oranything of that nature, Um, well,
we don't really do it live likewe do live in person events,
(44:20):
not not live stream events. Butwe're gonna be bringing back another open mic.
That's definitely gonna happen. That wasa nice event. You know,
we pulled out about twenty five artistsfrom Long Island and they performed, So
you know that was that was prettybig. And I didn't really know twenty
four of them, you know,so for that to happen, it's crazy.
(44:44):
Shout out to all the artists thatdo know me that decided they didn't
want to pull up. Yeah, shame on you. Ye hate us.
Um. Sometimes sometimes you just can'tmake it. You can't. You can't
always throw them under the bus.Sometimes you just can't make it. You
know. It's funny though, becausethe same people that are always asking for
the opportunities and then they don't show. Oh yeah, well you're gonna deal
(45:06):
with that. You know, you'regonna deal with that. I have a
question how to get it together?I have a question, Um, And
this happens a lot this are this, I see it is a lot at
showcases. What do you do whenyou overbook or you may not, but
(45:27):
the person you have organizing helping youorganize the situation? What do you do
when they overbooked the artist? Andthen are some artists don't get to perform
and they're upset and now they gottastink attitude. You gotta just hook them
up for free with the next one. The next show Okay, okay,
(45:50):
that's the best way to giving theirmoney back. Hook them up for free,
make it good. That's doing theright thing. Because at the same
time, you need to go takethat book and they and talk to him
too, because she shouldn't be doingthat to you. Yeah, the only
only person, only other person I'veseen him do that that if they overbook
or something like happy shout out tomy home girl v Henny. She's uh,
(46:15):
you know, she she does asimilar um, you know, a
service for the artists. You know, she she tries to help artists and
sometimes you know, she gets overwhelmed, you know with uh, you know,
with artists, and you know, sometimes your team, you know,
you may not have the team thatyou need at time, so you don't
(46:37):
help you, you know, getover the hump, and you know,
you end up doing it yourself. And but then also sometimes the artists don't
show up or they say they're notcoming, and then they show up and
then they're like, oh, Iwant to perform, and then they come
with an army of people. Yougot like thirty people with you, you
know, you know what I'm saying, You come with thirty people, and
uh, you know, once youbefore or if you you get to perform,
(47:01):
or you know, you take allyour people to leave, like you
know, you just took all youtook the whole crowd and left like you
know, Oh my gods, that'sone thing we gotta we gotta stop doing
too at the showcases. We can't. If you got the big crowd,
you don't get to perform first.Bro, you gotta perform like almost last.
You came with the biggest crowd. You gotta perform last. Because where
(47:22):
you're going with the people, youcan't just go with with you know what
I'm seeing. You gotta support. We gotta support you understand, but you
also got to make sure that youhave you know, as as an artist,
you gotta come with your own fans. You gotta gotta build your own
fan base. Don't just jump intothe showcase world and you ain't got your
own fan base. If that's notwell, if that's not something you can
(47:45):
get control, well you know whatyou you you know, I don't you
know, I don't feel like that. I feel that at the end of
the day, you can't control thatbecause if you take a couple of hours
and smoke less weed or drink lessbill or or a party less and you
take that money and you put thatinto advertising and promoting your business, and
(48:07):
you ain't gonna have that problem.Could be right? You know there's a
solution. If I don't, Idon't look at things from uh a problematic
viewpoint. It's always a solution toeverything. I mean, Or if there's
an it's an obstacle, there's asolution. Or if there's an obstacle,
(48:28):
I got to find a way toget over it, go around it,
if I have to all tunnel throughit, whatever it is. You know,
you know we're gonna right, We'regonna get there. You were gonna
win as long as we got guyslike Rich that's out here trying to you
know, help these artists and givethem a lane. You know, because
(48:50):
he took the time, He tookthe time, he stopped doing something that
he loved to do or something thathe'd liked to do. You know,
you say you wasn't you know,it wasn't all that lucative, but you
know, um, you know somethingyou you you felt strong about and you
sacrifice something and look what you wasable to build. So shout out to
you once again. Um, Idefinitely appreciate you taking your time to be
(49:14):
on the show tonight. And Ithink this is gonna be, um,
you know, another good episode wherewe're able to get some people some information
on you know, how to makesome you know, how to make decisions
when it comes to dealing with showcasingand uh, you know, just promoting
yourself, you know, absolutely absolutelyso Rich. I'm saying, what else
(49:37):
you would like to telling people? You know, we here, we got
like five minutes. Yeah, youknow we got a little time. You
know, we wanding down, youknow, telling people whatever you want to
telling people. You got the openfloor, man, talk to them,
talk talk, Yes, just tappingfill the page, you know. Uh,
where can they find you at?Where they rap Radar Long Island,
(49:58):

Twitter, Facebook. Uh, thewebsite is gonna be up soon, right.

up yea the spot when you cooking, man, you don't want you don't
want to miss the meal. Youdon't want to miss the me You gotta
pull up wherever it's sad. Idefinitely gotta get the wall as hot.
Definitely. You ever think that youever think about having uh, like producers
(51:07):
come out, Producers come out andyou know they work with the artists.
Yeah, well that's you know,we're open to all that. Yeah.
Yeah, Like if an artist hastheir own you know, team that they
want to bring out, like morepower to them. Okay, okay,
we may be able to help youwith that because we we got tons of
(51:27):
artists that are can you know, like continuously reaching out and uh trying to
find ways to um, you know, bridge the gap and work together that's
that's what we was. That's whatwe was doing two years ago. We
was um who was going around todifferent studios. Um, we would invite
different artists. Shout out to mymen Noah four x yeah, no,
