but we wanted to celebrate with you, so we had
(00:57):
this prepared ahead of time so that we could hopefully
not maybe you' ringing the holiday with you if you're
eating later. If not, maybe we can help you digest.
So it's been a long day of turkey eating. Hopefully
you enjoyed your turkey and all your food. I'm sure
we will as well when we go through our meals
or we're gonna be doing why we are not spending
time live with you guys, and it's also gonna be
(01:18):
a busy week, which we'll explain why again just to
catch you guys all up. But we are here, so
is icm Crow and Big Hoss. What's up, Big Costs?
Speaker 3 (01:27):
What's up?
Speaker 2 (01:28):
No Mud, I'm sure, I know we haven't eaten yet,
but I'm sure it's gonna be. You're gonna enjoy your
dinner for sure, so we'll have to regale you guys
with that come December, so we'll catch you up there.
But yeah, hard to believe. We are as of today,
as of this recording. When it goes up for you
guys to listen to this episode, Thanksgiving is pretty much over.
(01:49):
It's and we start the holiday episodes, which super exciting.
Of course, we're gonna be playing our Christmas tracks for
you guys, getting things all fired up for the holiday season.
A lot of people have already begun decorating for Christmas,
so everything's in full gear. But we do want to
go over a couple of quick announcements before we get
into it. We're going to talk about a little bit
of fun things about Thanksgiving. We did do a little
(02:10):
bit of trends and things like that, recently, But we're
just gonna hang out and talk to you guys a
little about that and just celebrate as much as we
possibly can and hopefully help you to forget about being
completely full of turkey, which nobody complains about that, but
we still want to make sure that we help you
to settle as much as possible. But just a couple
few things we want to share with you guys that
(02:32):
are very important if you've noticed too, we did share
this past weekend, but there is no episode of POS
Squad this evening. It is Thursday night again. It's the holidays.
We all take a break, We get our own time
off out now and again, so we'll be back in December.
We are going to be presenting you with the Mustard
Soda Challenge. We are working to finalize that so we
can do that on air for you guys. We'll keep
(02:53):
you posted here when that's actually going to be happening.
Which episode we're going to do that on, we'll let
you guys know. But what do we have going for
this week? Well, first of all, obviously again we have
this Thanksgiving episode for you guys. That's one bonus. Be
sure to tune in tomorrow night if you didn't see
it posted, we'll be sharing it again throughout the week.
We have been sharing it. I'm sure throughout this week
(03:14):
that we have a special guest coming on for Friday
Night episode. It is folk and country music singer song
slash songwriter Jimmy Malia. He's gonna be talking with us.
We're gonna talk to him about his journey through music
and get to know him and share a lot of
great details with you guys there. So hope you'll enjoy that.
That'll be tomorrow night. That'll drop ten pm Eastern Standard time.
(03:35):
We also have and reminder for everybody. I want to
make sure I have it set up here. We do.
We have Saturday Night, November thirtieth is Big Hosses thirtieth
birthday Bash. Very exciting. We will be live with you guys.
We're gonna have Big Hoss on. We're gonna celebrate with him.
We're gonna have some hopefully some friends join us. We're
gonna try to make it as much of a party
(03:56):
as we can. Hope you guys can be their live
listening to us. If not, catch rebroadcast, but please send
well wishes if you want to send it through email.
If you want to send messages on social media or
even post or comments, however you want to do it
a big costs will appreciate that, so share the love.
But we're going to celebrate, have a good time, and
see how everything goes. Let's see what else do we
(04:17):
have going on there. I think that's about it as
far as the show announcement's going on there. We do
want to mention again it is winding down. It will
have been posted again throughout this week. At some point
we'll keep circulating it again, but we are trying to
wind things down. For the giveaway of our sign photo
from our friend Miranda Maverick. We want to give it
(04:38):
away on our Christmas Christmas Special episode Saturday, December twenty First,
all submissions must be in by December fifteenth. If we
have enough people, we will close it down. At that
point we will announce it. If we don't have enough,
we will extend a little bit longer to try to
give you guys a good opportunity to be able to
enter in. We want to give it away for either
(04:58):
our Christmas episode or our New Year's episode, either one.
We're trying to do that to celebrate the rest of
this year and to kick things off, to get started
exciting things happening. In twenty twenty five, you guys know
we'll be joining on the stream Yard. We're gonna be
going live there, adding some new things happening there as well.
Lots of fun things coming up down the pike we
will share as we continue that on that journey. We
(05:19):
hope to see you guys there. Of course, we appreciate
you guys coming in with us on this ride along.
It's going on year three already. We can't wait to
see what's gonna happen yet and more. I hope you
guys have enjoyed it so far. We appreciate the love
and support as always we do. But that's just one
way we want to thank you guys. So submissions must
be in by December fifteenth for the sign photo to
be entered into a chance for you to win it.
(05:40):
And again just a reminder again there's really no rule
except for the fact of you have multiple ways you
can win it. If you want to have multiple entries,
we suggest, we strongly recommend and suggest you do the following.
It is across social media. We'll be sharing it. Make
sure you like, comment, repost, and can't emphasize it enough
(06:01):
and tag us tag our social media there so we
see it directly that we know you guys saw it.
The more you do that, the more it helps us.
And it's going to help you stand out so we
can actually see you specifically that you were looking at
the photo there. You can also check it out on
the YouTube community chat. We have an uploading on YouTube
that will change come the new year as well. We're
going to implement some new stuff which will be able
(06:21):
to get new episodes and videos out there. And reminder
two for those of you not on social media, if
you hear us mention about this photo and any of
the episodes, you can also email us JA underscore JA
Production Studios at yahoo dot com. We will count those
as submission entries if you write that in. Just try
to if you can remember the name of the episode,
(06:42):
the title, when we set it, how we said it,
where we said it, not as important, just so we
know what episode that you were listening to. That also
tells us, hey, thanks for listening, but we'll count that
as submissions as well. It can be for multiple episodes,
doesn't have to be just one singular episode, so have
at it go crazy there, and then we were going
to pick a winner at random and we will announce
(07:02):
that winner on the holiday episode show that we do
the drawing with. We will let you know if you win.
We will try to reach out to you the social
media to get more personal contact details, information so that
we can get the photo to you guys. And good
luck to everybody too. We mentioned that as well, But
you guys are all winners in our book, and one
of you will be in a special lucky winner with
a grand prize that we hope you will enjoy. Let's see.
(07:25):
I think other than that, for the most part, I
believe that's everything that we have. We do have one
other guest lineup that we are trying to work through.
Nothing has been solidified as of yet, but we are
working diligently to get them on the show. We will
post updates and let you guys know when that does happen.
(07:47):
Hopefully it'll be soon, depending on schedules of course, now
the holidays are coming in. It may not be until
next year, but we at least want to get it
on the books, so that's also in the docket. Again.
We'll give you more details as they come in and
then as far as that goes, I believe that is it. Okay,
(08:14):
So let's dive in here. I want to pull up
some stuff we're going to talk about to Thanksgiving again,
it's it's a classic time of year. We always have
a wonderful opportunity to have great food, spend time with family,
and you know, again, we think we feel and it's
(08:37):
the same with all holidays, but especially with Thanksgiving too,
and even Christmas is just coming up. That this is
really the great time of year where you can reconnect
with family, with loved ones, perhaps those you haven't seen
for a long time, maybe friends, even a lot of
people have friends come over and get or get together with.
Speaker 3 (08:53):
Soybe but instead of the extra large pizza, we can
go to a large pizza for the birthday bask and
still see me eat it.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
Well, we'll see. We gotta find we gotta make sure
everybody's coming. I'm not sure if they're all coming yet.
I gotta we have to confirm that. Yeah, we'll play
it by air. We'll plan. We have what we have,
We have it the opportunity. We'll talk about it before
we get to that point. But yeah, so we'll we'll
figure that out, But yeah, no, I mean it not that,
not that you guys. You know, we don't spend time
(09:23):
with family and friends, but it's a it's a great
way to ensure that we can do that. You know,
we're not super busy. Everybody is. It happens so and
the main thing is, as as the holiday states, it's
to be thankful, and we can be thankful for a
lot of things. You know, we're living in a time
where things are difficult, things are tough. You know. I'm
sure we are all struggling in some capacity. You know,
(09:43):
not not one of us is going through life without
any kind of problems happening. So I hope we took
you took the opportunity. We always say this to you guys,
try to find the positives of it and even in
the hardships of everything, try to find at least one
thing to be thankful for it. There's got to be
at least one. So we hope you're able to do that.
Hopefully you shared that over the Thanksgiving table. I know
(10:05):
that's been tradition in my family in the past. We've
done that.
Speaker 3 (10:07):
So finally having friends that actually care about me instead
of just wanting to use me.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
Well, okay, there you go. Is that that you're a
thankful list that you want to put out there for
that too? Well, there you go.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
See again having family there and friends that actually care
about me.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
Sure, well that's that's because everybody knows this.
Speaker 3 (10:29):
But before when me and Sam Troell first met, I
didn't really have any friends.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
Yeah that's true. Yeah, I don't think we talked about
that too much before a bit. Yeah, and you come
a long way, and obviously, you know, big haustin I
got to be really good friends, and you know, we
met a lot of great people too, made some other friends.
You made some friends, so you know, we've had some
hardships too. But I think in spite of all that,
it's fair to say that at least you know, friends
are worth their waiting gold. You can't. You can't. How
(10:58):
do I say it?
Speaker 4 (10:59):
By?
Speaker 2 (11:00):
And as you can't, good friends to have are are
hard to come by sometimes, as we as big Hosses mentioning,
as you've experienced that, you know, there's there's the contenders,
and there's the pretenders, the ones that you think are
friends but they're not. So that's a wonderful thing to
be thankful for. And even family. You know a lot
of families come in different shapes and sizes. But you know,
(11:20):
no matter if it's your parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins,
whatever it is, family Ohana is in Hawaiian for that one.
Families can be any which shape or size, it can
be anybody. It's the people that mean the most to
you that are important, so you know, be thankful for that.
We can also be thankful for you know, in the
culture that we live in our country. As glutonous as
(11:42):
we tend to be at times, you know, we can
be very thankful that we have plenty of food on
the table. A lot of us do some some maybe
not so much, but you know, at least something is
better than nothing, you know, so little things like that,
it's it's just important to take time to appreciate those
(12:02):
two you know, just think about that when you know
moments are tough. I think a lot of times too,
people don't draw back on that, and I think it's
it's really important that you do that because you know,
I can get you through a lot of tough times,
not necessarily perhaps maybe in the ways that we think,
(12:22):
but you know, try to always look for positives there
at least to get you through that. I mean, you
know that, what does that? How do they say that too?
Try to try to find some positive hold on to
it somehow, at least at least have some light in
the dark moments there. But you know, it's it's difficult,
it can be, but you know, I think I think ultimately, uh,
(12:50):
it's just you know, worth worth saying that. You know,
you really want to take these holidays and and make
them what they are because you know, you just you
don't know, you know, whether it's for a plethora of reasons.
You know, none of us just guarantee anything. So I
(13:11):
think that's important to state and document that too. We
always say that, but it's never let any less true.
So you know, I think that's why we talk about
it so much, you know, and I think that's why
a lot of us we love the holidays. I mean, obviously, yes,
the food is huge. Let's let's be honest. We all
ate great today and probably a lot of us have leftovers.
(13:33):
I am one of those. I absolutely love leftovers. Turkey
sandwiches are an absolute must if you don't salvage that. Now, again,
depending on your your feast size and your party size,
you know, all those sort of things. It can vary
depending on the you know, how much of the meat
you have left, but you know, usually there's got to
be some type of leftovers. Now, if you're like big
(13:55):
Hostes family there you have a plethora of protein meat options.
There's only a few of you anyway, I'm sure there's
gonna be some leftovers, right, You're not, You're gonna have
at least, you know, for at least couple How how
long do you usually make your leftovers last typically when
you guys eat, Like how long after Thanksgiving? Typically do
you usually end up eating leftovers? Never?
Speaker 3 (14:16):
Because that's not usually when I get said home with
the like for me, but not usually.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
In that Okay, I mean again, it varies, like for us,
like we usually have, I would say at least over
the last few years, we've had enough leftovers for at
least another day or so, maybe an extra meal or two.
That's also because over the years too, you know, our
family's grown a little bit, grown more in size, and
you know, we've reduced some of the food intake as well,
just because you know, we didn't need all of it,
(14:42):
and you know, a lot of the family, like you know,
like my mom doesn't eat much, just doesn't eat much.
Grandma usually eats a lot, but like the male members
of the family, we quite a bit sometimes. But you know,
still when you do the math and you boil it down,
we still find areas where, like, you know, we could
probably cut back a little bit here and there on
some stuff. But you know, it's always fun though. But
(15:03):
I think, I really think that you know, the the
just the idea of you know, that time and you
know it's it's I've as I've said before, I'll say
it again, and I continuously say it, and I just
I seem to learn it more and more and more
as time goes on, as I get older, all the above,
(15:24):
whatever you want to call it, how rare it is
to actually have time to sit down with everybody. You know,
I thought it was bad before because in the early
parts of the year, especially when you know, my sister
and I were of age and we got into our
early adulthood years, you know, we started having those things
where everybody's schedule is rotating and we're not all able
to sit down at the same time and et cetera.
(15:45):
But in some capacities it was still it was still manageable.
We still found ways to do it. But see now
you know, life has changed, jobs have changed, famili has changed,
you know, whatever it is, X, Y and Z. So
because of that, we found that it's grown increasingly difficult
(16:06):
to some degree to help us to get together and
sit down at one clip. So when we can do that,
you know, we make the most of it. That's a
great rare opportunity. So you know, make sure you guys
think about that too. And you know, also we mentioned
this this past weekend too. How you know, planning for
like when you're traveling. Obviously a lot of people travel.
(16:27):
I know people that can travel way across the country.
People travel. Maybe people are taking holiday trips to Europe
or foreign countries places. It's not uncommon. It's not typically
something I think people do on average, but you know,
it's not unheard of an unprecedented. Maybe some folks that
you know have grown children or grown people they don't
(16:47):
see anymore. They take time. It's kind of a remnant
of the Christmas with the Cranks kind of scenario, which
classic movie. If you guys haven't seen it, check it out.
Holidays are coming up, so go crazy, go nuts binge
watch Christmas films, but kind of that same idea. Ye,
everybody does something different. Maybe you just want to take
time away. You know, a lot of people have difficult times,
you know, getting off of work, trying to schedule things,
(17:09):
you know, so holiday opportunities are something where you really
can use that chance to travel, do extra things and
so forth. So but you know, but yeah, so like
(17:31):
I said, holidays are great. That's why we love it.
It doesn't matter food, presence, the hubbub, the hubbloo, all
the bells and whistles. That stuff is great, but it's
not this. It should be the focal point, shouldn't be
the center of everything. You know, everybody loves it. And
again I said before, I am one of those. I
love my my Christmas gifts. I love my own toys
(17:52):
and things like that too, But I think more and
more it's just the spending quality time with people you
care about. And when you think about that, it kind
of changes your perspective on lots of stuff too. So
I know it's harder if you're a younger listener too.
And again, we were all young once, so you know,
(18:12):
we understand the concepts of oh, you know, presence, sentence,
this is the year where all these gifts keep getting
more and more fancy and more and more intricate, and
you know, all this stuff. But still, you know, try
to think about that, and you know, at the very
least take your chance to you know, spend time, talk
(18:33):
to your grandparents, talk to cousins, you'll play do different things.
You know, a lot of pamily. I know I can't
made this night before too not so much often, but
you know, play games, play cards, maybe watch a movie together,
depending on when you eat, you know, something along that nature.
But you know, whatever the case may be, find the
(18:53):
quality times there, you know, and even if you just
sit and talk for a little bit. I know it's
again it's boring for younger folks, maybe not so much
older folks. We've all seen it. We've all seen our
parents chat with other grown ups. And trust me, when
you get older, you're young enough, you'll understand this that
there is the idea of chatting with somebody is actually
a form of entertainment, believe it or not. So just
(19:18):
to put that out there, but you know, again, there's
a lot of things to consider there, you know. Just
like we gave our tips, I know, when we tied
to s k I'm talking about it, okay there, Okay,
it's important to plan for the little things, plan for
all details, so on and so forth. So just some
(19:40):
thoughts there. But you know, as the years go on,
you know, and as the saying goes, the song is
the same. But you know, the I think, I think
there's different concepts for where you are looking at things
(20:10):
a little bit differently, you know. And obviously again this
depends upon the age. Everybody's got different ways of looking
at things thinking about things too. And you know, I've
been around for a lot of Thanksgivings. A lot of
you listening probably have been around for quite a lot more.
They're all special though, they're all unique. It's like snowflakes.
They're very individually unique, They're different, they're not all the same.
(20:32):
So I always try to find the blessings there and
try to find different things that are unique to them.
Now again, I can tell you if we've shared stories
before about going back for all the years of Thanksgiving
we were sharing actually which I think we shared a
little bit, but I will share again. Some fond memories
are the crazy ones where we had the funny snaff foods,
(20:53):
where it wasn't funny at the time, but dinner didn't
always go off the way we hoped. We've had scenarios
where the rule of thumb usually is we typically have
because Grandma always does the turkey. So there's usually a
set specific time to have dinner, and it's it's by
the book, it's the Bible, it's the law of we
have to be there at that time. That's just you know,
(21:14):
how it's laid out. But there have been instances where
schedule changes somehow and so that throws everything into chaos.
Still found a way to work it out, of course,
but you know, it's it's still one of the less frustrating.
Then there's instances where the I shared the story of
not too long ago, a couple of years ago, in fact,
(21:36):
just about done with the turkey. My grandmother was so
proud of it. She had everything put together, it was
coming out nicely, it was all cooked. It was just
a few minutes left to go. Her ovendies and so
had to adjust and she's right away going, oh, no,
the turkey, like you know, it's almost done. We gotta
so we salvage that I've said before. Now, obviously I
(21:56):
don't want to take away the fun of it, but anymore,
and I was just go any of these place, in
any fast three place or any store where you can
get like a pre made tricky meal. We get a
frozy tricky meal for everybody get trays. I just think
it's easier, less clean up. I know it loses the
allure and the splendor of Oh but we get to eat.
Everybody dresses up, or there's fancy silver wearing dishes on
the table, and there's all these things. Trust me, when
(22:16):
you've done enough dishes over the course of time like
I have, there there's comes a point where it's like,
you know what you kind of wish maybe we did
go with at least well, here's one thing we did
change that all the years we used to use the
fine china and stuff. After a while we agreed that
it was good to have the entire big meal but
on paper plates with anything else that was disposable, just
to make clean up simple and easy. So there is that.
(22:41):
But for some people it's super important to again simple
times a year. Maybe do you want to have the
fancy stuffy that's the only time of year you do it.
And I'm not knocking that you know, we it's great.
I mean, everybody's got a different outlook for it. But
you know, again, it's just priorities. What you want to do,
what we want to have. But if that's what makes
you happy, that's where you get your ntainment and you
(23:02):
enjoy it with your family and friends, go with it.
There's nothing wrong with that, but keep it as simple
as possible. Especially you know, if you whether you have
let's see hot you have what there's three of you
and your family, right, So there's three of you. Now
this year is going to be smaller. There's usually about
nine or ten of us. It's going to be only
to be about five of us this year, so we're
kind of cutting it in half. Possibly this is one
(23:26):
of those game time decisions where family could show up unexpectedly.
I'm actually kind of think preparing for that, and so
I think it's possible, but you know, it's it's still
kind of nice. Small gatherings are good too, But and
Grandma is just this year she's cooking, so, I mean,
she's not getting any younger, but she still enjoys her cooking.
(23:46):
So that's kind of her way to give back to
the family, I think too. And it's kind of a
nice way for us to let her do that. And
you know, again, it's if she can do it. We
do to help her though, because I offer it so
that I can help to you if you need, because
you can't do everything. I think the same as you
used to. But that's all part of the fun of it.
But there you go. Why don't we take it a
(24:08):
little break here. We'll take a quick short pause here.
We'll come back there. I want to go over some
look at some top trends again from Thanksgiving this year.
You know, see what we can find there again, give
you maybe some ideas for next year. Everybody, for some reason,
they like to start to plan ahead of time. So
maybe you get some ideas for twenty twenty five Thanksgiving.
We can help you do that. That's great. But we
(24:28):
want to chat with you guys some more again, helping
you to let that turkey settle just below in your
lower colon, just to kind of like and you might
be getting sleepy too. Turkey always makes it you sleepy,
so you put you asleep. No shame in that, no
harm in that. We are here to provide the most
entertaining thing we can do, and that's talk to you
fall asleep. We are happy to do that. So we'll
(24:49):
pause here, we'll play you some of our Thanksgiving tracks,
and then we will come back for more and celebrate
Thanksgiving evening. Actually because technically now this point it's later again.
If you're eating this late, okay, that's great. I don't
know why you would do it, but if you do it,
that's you know what we understand. Maybe it's time changed
to you. Maybe we're we're obviously different. We have different
time zones too, so maybe it's earlier where you guys
(25:10):
are at. But either way, again, a happy Thanksgiving to
you all. We're so glad that we are able to
spend it with you in some capacity. You know, again,
we would be here live, but we do want to.
We wanted to spend time with our families as well,

Speaker 2 (45:51):
All right, thank you guys so much, Thank you. I
hope you guys have a great emportunity listen to some
one of those tracks there. We wanted to play a
little bit longer of a commercial break for you guys
because this will wrap up our Thanksgiving and so we
wanted to make sure that you guys got a good
chance those of these tracks, which we're so thankful to have.
(46:13):
It's always enjoyable. We love them and we appreciate those
that created them. There. It's a huge but a huge
staple for us since we've incorporated them with the shows.
As you guys know, if you listened for a while there,
we've had them for a bit. But yeah, so we
want to say again though this evening, we want to
wish you a very very happy Thanksgiving. We hope your
(46:33):
dinner plans were wonderful, that all parties went off without
a hitch. Hopefully all the cleanup is done, But if
you're cleaning up still at this time of night, well
hopefully we can provide you some opportunities to numb your
mind so you're not super bored doing so. Trust me, again,
we've had holiday parties in my family where the cleanup
(46:54):
is constant so and I'm very very a lot, so
we understand that. But hopefully we can help you to
pass the time and pack those leftovers if you think
of us and want to send them to them as
you can, but it's just the thought of that, we'd
appreciate that. So but yeah, that's what we're hanging out
(47:17):
here for. But we wanted to do this again so
that we could spend the time with you guys, even
though again we're not live, we are with our families
were having a night. We're probably cleaning up ourselves at
this point too, so but we still wanted to be
able to be here with you guys and celebrate and
have a great time with that too, So for the
last little bit here before we wrap tonight too, a
couple of things we want to do. First of all,
(47:37):
let's give you some things that we're looking at that
we are going to hopefully give you maybe some ideas
how to plan ahead for Thanksgiving next year. I mean,
this is something that kind of got on our mindset
when we talked with SKA about plans and doing things
like that. Let's see if we can pull it up here.
(48:03):
But just to give you some thoughts and ideas, and
just in case you didn't, actually a lot of great
things we never even consider that I was on this list.
We're gonna go through this list and then we're gonna
end things to when we do by big hausts and
are each just gonna share. Because shared some of his
things he's thankful for, We're gonna share some things that
I'm thankful for, and some things that we are hopeful
(48:26):
for for the new year coming up too. Trying how
to get the ball roll in there. So let's dive
in here. Let's make sure we have audio you can
hear me. Okay over there, yep, okay, let's see so
if you are even though we're not even a day removed,
from Thanksgiving the Big Turkey Day of twenty twenty four.
Here's some things to consider when planning for your Thanksgiving
(48:48):
A twenty twenty five. Never hurt to start early. Consider
things like the guest list of menu planning, including a turkey,
sides and desserts or hand or both, whatever your pleasure is.
Travel arrangements always important, start early. It's a mad house,
it's crazy. Make sure you get yourself schedule for that
right away if necessary. Decorations activities like watching the Macy's
(49:10):
Thanksgiving Day parade, you know, we've kind of gotten away
from that. That was one sort of tradition we did
in my family, have it for a while. I do
try to throw it on once in a while. Of
course we're in a new age too, but along with
that and in the area we live, the classic high
school rivalry football game is something you always usually watch
every year, so, you know, but little things like that
(49:30):
which don't seem like a lot. But and then of
course there's NFL football if you are you know, big
football fan for that too. But there's you know, all
kinds of those little those little traditions that we don't
think about. So that's something to consider. Making your gratitude list.
We were talking about that. We do that as too,
and deciding whether to host at home or attend the
(49:51):
gathering with family or friends. This is another fun thing.
Do you want to host the party or do you
want to be a guest. Now I've shared this, we
know if you guys know, listen to it. I've seen
on the past squad You've got a good idea. And
Big Hoss is learning too more about sk Mac. He
likes to be the flamboyant type where he likes to
host the party. So I think if Big Hoss is
an agreement, I think we should go to SK's for
(50:13):
him host and we'll just seep the food. What do
you think? I can tell you too. You know for
sure he's gonna have gourmet stuff. You heard him say
top of the line stuff when we had him on
last weekend. So you won't leave hungry. If you do,
that's your own fault. So that's a scenario where I
don't want to host. But again, I don't mind doing
it if I have to. It's just I prefer to
(50:37):
have the mess at someone else's house, don't most of
you guys, So I'm kidding, But yeah, I mean that's
just I think a lot of people kind of feel
that way too. But and cortin key date. Remember Thanksgiving
twenty twenty five is on November twenty seven, so it's
actually a day earlier than it is this year. Good
to know market on your calendar now so you don't forget.
Trust me. I know it's almost a year away, but
(50:57):
time flies anymore. How many times have we talked about
that and meant it? And it's true. So things like
that too are very important. Let's see talked about these
two but main dish size and dessert obviously are huge
for planning travel arrangements to traveling to see family, book
flights from make driving plans well in advance. Things happen,
(51:18):
weather it can be crazy this time of year, depending
on where you live. So get your arrangements to travel
right away, especially also to consider it doesn't say it here,
it's mostly talking about in air flights, but if you're driving,
to make sure you plan it. I know a lot
of people have done that, They've driven to family for that,
and make sure you plan accordingly because it you know,
(51:38):
it could get dicey and it could things could change
and maybe you need an extra day or maybe you
have to can't leave till extra day later, who knows,
So just make sure that you guys plan that in
advance too. Macy's parade, football games, family time, plan activities
like we mentioned earlier, board games, card games, or movie watching.
Look at that. I guess everybody has similar thoughts with
that too. But there's are some just some ideas. You
(52:00):
don't have to do them, but just some things to
consider and think about. Gratitude practices, gratitude journal. You can
get everybody in their own journal or have them bring
their own journal if they want to write things down,
sharing thanks have a discussion where everyone shares something they
are grateful for, which we typically my family do during
the Thanksgiving table. But everybody's different, so at least carve
out a moment when you can all do that. That's
(52:20):
kind of important. Now here's some of the things we
want to go over again. There's just some stuff. Again.
Sk hit on this when we had them on the
show this past weekend. If you guys missed that those
episodes up now that was past Saturday, you can check
that out. Consider these additional points so very important right
off the bat. Dietary restrictions, accommodate any dietary neees of
your guests, but offering alternative options. Now, some people are
(52:43):
gluten free, some people have allergies. These are the kind
of things you want to consider, and especially if you're
hosting a big party or you have a large family,
you gotta figure there's at least one or two people
that are gonna have issues, so plan wisely have options available.
Here's what other good one that's key. We've actually kind
of started doing this in my family too, but potluck style.
(53:04):
If hosting a large group, consider a potluck. We're guests
bring a dish to share, and now typically the family
we split up dishes and we all partake and pretty
much do it all ourselves. But there is something to
be said where you could have people bring their own,
which is a lot of fun. I think I think
it'd be a fun thing to do, and I think ultimately,
you know, you would have a lot more turn about
(53:29):
and people can't participate and I feel like they're getting
more involved. So there is that as well. So you know,
overall on a bad idea. So I think I think
these are some great things to consider, some great bullet
points to sorry multitasking as always. You guys know, in
(53:49):
studio we have so many things going at one time
it's unbelievable, but we do our best. So yeah, So
just you know, there's some activity idea there and things
that you can do and everybody be involved and it
takes the burden off of you, especially if you're the host.
Meal prep prepare some dishes ahead of time to reduce
stress on Thanksgiving Day. Now, this is pros and cons.
(54:12):
Again in personal experience, my family has done this over
the last most recent few years.
Speaker 7 (54:16):
Here.
Speaker 2 (54:17):
Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's not. So take that with
an asterisk there the disclaimer warning that do that at
your own risk, depending on what the dishes are. Some
can't be done that way, some can't. You know yourself,
you guys know, your family knows, friends know. You have
to be the one that plans. So figure out the
best option to do that. But keep that in mind
consideration when you're talking about doing with this kind of stuff.
(54:42):
And then volunteer opportunities. Consider giving back to your community
by volunteering at a local food bank or shelter. Now,
this is a thing that I think a lot of
people do do, but I don't think it's I think
it's so often overlooked. If you have a chance to
go down, even if it's before or after when you
have your meal, or either the day or after whatever,
go to a homeless shelter, or you can hand out
the thanksgiving meals to folks that don't have much. It's
(55:04):
a great way for you to spread the thanksgiving share
and to give some love back to someone else who's
less fortunate. You know, we say that a lot too.
Uh So, if you guys get that opportunity, by all means, please,
you know, go out there and do that, because I
think it's I think it's just going to be It's
just a great way to be supportive and you know,
(55:25):
treat well of our fellow human beings that are there.
You know, again, we are all living in the same world,
and you know, we should be that way for each other.
We should be supportive and helpful to one another. So
to give that opportunity, by all means do that. And
you know, if you do that actually too, let us know,
send us a message or let us know how it went.
What did you do? You know, we'd love to hear
stories like that. We love to feature that on the show.
(55:46):
So if you guys have that opportunity, by all means,
go ahead and do so. So there you go. So
ideas point twenty five, start planning now. Can never plan
too soon because you just can't. Should be self explanatory.
But if I had to put it any other way,
that's how I put it. So there you have it.
So now I want to as we're ready to wrap
(56:08):
things up here shortly, I will throw it to let
me share a couple of things. Actually, because you shared
some things you're thankful for I agree with big costs too.
I'm thankful for some good friends, thankful for good friend here.
You know, since Big Hosts and I met, we've got
to be good friends. So that's another friend that I
didn't have. I shouldn't say I don't have a lot
of friends, but I don't have very many close friends,
(56:29):
which I let to count Big Hosts there. So I'm
very thankful for there, and I hope you don't have
to reciprocate, but I hope that you I can give
you the same kind of feeling too, but perfect and
one day we will be a meet in person, which
will be a lot of fun. That's kind of a
plan we have a little surprise. We'll talk about that
at another time for next year potentially, so stay tuned
(56:50):
for that. We're actually gonna probably make more of an
announcement for that when we launched the new platform, so
we'll save that tidbit of information later. But I am
just also so thankful for I'm really thankful for the
little things, you know, the things that most of us
might seem I don't want to say it unimportant and
not important, but the mundane things that we don't always
(57:10):
consider that we feel, you know, are we overlooked or
we don't care about or consider. So I'm very thankful
for those. And you guys might have similar ones. You
can mark down what they are, but look for those
little things, look for those little hidden gems amongst all
the chaos and the clutter and everything else. Be thankful
for those because it's the simple things that do count
a lot of times. So there you go. So now
(57:33):
switching a little bit though, we'll start with big Hoss here.
So it's sort of in the vein of thankfulness, is
what is a thankful maybe slash hopeful thing that you're
looking forward to for twenty twenty five, Big Hoss, what
are something, maybe like not a New Year's resolution, but
a sort of at least maybe one thing that you
are looking forward to or you're hoping for for twenty
twenty five that you could think of if you had
(57:55):
to pick something and and and something has to be picked.
You can't pass and you can't take the standard. So
take a minute think about it if you wish, this
is for something for an entire year, next year coming up,
so it can be anything hopeful, thankful for what you're
looking forward to for twenty twenty anything.
Speaker 3 (58:16):
Hopeful the podcast takes off majorly.
Speaker 2 (58:23):
Okay, that's a good one. I kind of share that too.
I will say with the new launching of the platform
next year and some of other things, and there's also
some other some light things in the works that could
potentially be added there. Again, I can't say any more
than that because nothing is definite yet, but I will
(58:44):
say that's a very good possibility. So I share those sentiments.
I will just echo further and say too that I
hope that we all get as we reset the clock
or reset the calendar year. My hope is that obviously
we have a great year as less illnesses and all
these issues we have and the world is a mess.
(59:05):
We know it, but I'm hoping that a lot of
people find And I guess this kind of dates a
little bit back to the holiday season, that we kind
of put us our differences and we just kind of,
you know, we can all get along at least to
some degree. Everybody's different. It's not always going to be
everybody's gonna sit together by the camp fire, holding hands,
singing Kumbaya. But I want to have us at least,
(59:27):
you know, try to hope for a less violent of
a world there if we can. I know it's hard,
especially in the areas where some of us live in
the world, but that is really a hope for me.
A little bit more of a peace on earth is
overstating it and overshooting it. I don't want to mean
to go that route, but I'd like to see a
little bit more of the world taking a break more
so than just the holidays. Maybe we see more of
(59:49):
the holiday themed spirit of relaxation throughout the course of
the entire year, not just Christmas, Thanksgiving, Fourth of July.
I can't even remember on the holidays change now, So
that's kind of my hope too. But what are you
guys' hopes, share them with us. Let us know on
social media if you want to email them to us
or connect connect with us on discord. We will chat
(01:00:10):
with you there wherever. Let us know we'd love to
hear about that. What are you thankful for for twenty
twenty four and what are you hopeful for in the
new year coming up for twenty twenty five? You pose
that question to you guys as you guys, continue to relax.
If you're asleep, have a great rest, sleep off that turkey,
enjoy it. But again, we were so thankful that we
could spend time with you guys and big hosts. I
(01:00:31):
wanted to give you everybody to tell everybody wish them
the best Thanksgiving because it's Thanksgiving. So what do we
tell everybody?
Speaker 3 (01:00:39):
Happy Thanksgiving? And MutS you the best? If you're going
to drink, don't drive and take it over.
Speaker 2 (01:00:43):
Yeah, especially if you're partying this weekend, that's very very important.
But we will see you guys again and again. Make
sure you check out episodes this weekend. Friday night is
our special guest episode, Saturday night is Big Hosses Birthday Bash,
jam Pack weekend. We hope to see you guys there
but for Big Hoss, for me, Sam Crow, for all
of us here at J and J Production Studios. We
love you guys so much. We appreciate the support. We
(01:01:05):
hope you had a joyous, wonderful holiday, you know, and
we hope that you will have a great holiday Christmas
season coming up and then we get to do it
all again next year. But we appreciate you guys so much,
We love the support. There. Exciting things are to come.
We can guarantee that we'll hope to see what comes.

(01:01:25):
of your evening. Be safe too if you go out.
If everybody's going out to the wee hours of the

extra careful out there, we implore you. But be happy,
be healthy, and be safe. You guys, we'll see you
in well, well, you will see you live on the
thirty eeth. That's our last official episode for November, and
then we get ready to start the holiday season. We
(01:01:46):

night because technically Thanksgiving is over, so but we look
forward to seeing you guys, then wishing Big Hoss a
happy birthday. We're gonna have a party. We're gonna have fun.
It's gonna be awesome. I hope you can be there
live with us. So until next time you guys, good night,
Happy Turkey Day, another great one in the books. Until
(01:02:07):
we have Turkey and Ham and all the fixes next year.

everybody right, We love you guys, appreciate the support. We'll
see you very soon. Happy Thanksgiving, good night and well
that's Christmas. I won't go there, but good night and
goodbye for now. And of course, and as always, you
