pre recorded episode for you guys. Taking a little bit
of a break this weekend. There. We are here to
provide entertainment for you, of course, but sometimes things happen

and life and things get in the ways, so we
do try to accommodate. So we want to have an
episode for you. I am Sam Crow, of course, Big
Hoss not joining us unfortunately dealing with the loss of
a friend of his who passed away the other evening,
So taking a break. We're gonna recoup and then come
back next weekend. But did want to get a short

episode out. This is not going to be a normal
super long episode about an hour longp we typically do.
We just wanted to share some important information updates with
you guys and chat a little bit with you here,
So hope you guys are excited for that. And also
if you missed it, check out the links there we've
been sharing it. The one hundredth episode of the Pod
Squad episode we had game night on Thursday night, October seventeenth.

other so it was a good time, a great way
to commemorate the one hundredth episode of Pod Squad. Congrats,

It was a lot of fun and I'll have to
rewatch it haven't yet, but it's a great opportunity to
see it and get an idea. Hopefully next time we

Of course, you guys know, as always, we're preparing to
do our giveaway for our Christmas episode, possibly Newyear's episode.

Excuse me, let's see. I think it's December fifteenth. I
really should mark this down. Yeah, December fifteenth, that's the

if we do Christmas, and possibly the week after. We'll see,
but as of right now, we're planning to close off

No word on that as of yet, but that's something
that everybody's got busy schedule, so we will try to
iron that out and have that figured out soon time
to be determined. TVD will make sure that we post
updates there for you guys. All right, So I want
to get right into the media this because we did

post this on social media. We posted all across that
we could, but we want to announce it here because
we know sometimes you guys might miss it or you
don't get the you don't see those excuse me links
posted there. But but we had an unexpected announcement this
(04:39):
week that we sort of came across by accident, but
we wouldn't have known otherwise. Really glad at least that
we investigated that, and for further detail too, we're going
to cover here in a second, But we learned actually
from updating the studio software realizing that the YouTube channel
was no longer attached to Spreaker. We weren't sure exactly why.
(05:02):
Upon further investigations, specifically looking at the checking to see
if there was an email in regards to that, which
thankfully there was to give us some insight. So we
were notified from Speaker directly that due to some changes
with YouTube, without any warning whatsoever, they have effectively cut
(05:24):
ties and severed a partnership with Spreaker and allowing uploading
and distribution from other platforms, most notably speaker dot com,
which is what you guys know, the main platform that
we use. We did verify that, we checked it out,
did some research there on YouTube's and to try to
find out a little more information. So how it basically
(05:48):
came about and what we believe based on the information
that we received is that the reason this has happened
is due to some policy changes things. Obviously, you guys
know YouTube and Google are partnered up and merged. What
we read based on YouTube's description is they no longer
(06:08):
accept an RSS feed from podcast platforms that have ads
that are integrated into the software, which is essentially and
basically is what Spreaker does. So unfortunate. Yes, what does
that mean, Well, that's what we're gonna tell you want
to cover that here, so you guys are aware of that.
So due to the fact that this has come out
(06:31):
of the blue, come out of nowhere, there there's really
at this point we haven't found a way to adjust
and adapt to that yet. The bottom line basis that
we've determined at this point in time, and obviously to
the remainder of the year which we are coming up.
We're coming to the end of October, so that's going
to be sooner rather than later. But we will no
longer be streaming or adding new episodes of the shows
(06:54):
on YouTube currently because we really at this point we can't.
So unfortunately, we love to do that, but we can't.
It's out of our hands, out of our control. We
can't do anything. We apologize for the inconvenience. They're the
same thing with Spreaker. They said the same thing too,
there's nothing they can do. It was they got caught
completely off guard. So it's just it's one of those
things that happened all the way around. So what we
(07:15):
are going to do, though, is we are going to
adjust and plan around that. And how we are going
to do that is which we can't share with you
a little bit here, and nothing is official yet because
we are still working on it. But we are looking
to add a stream yard as a streaming service for us.
If you guys don't know that, we use typically on
the pod Squad. If you've seen us there, you know
(07:37):
that we that's how we go on that. You can
see us live on the airway. You can see us
on camera, So which we figure is gonna be great.
We're gonna utilize that. We're gonna upgrade that because also,
as you guys know too, what the Spreaker platform is changing,
we're not gonna be able to be live there anymore. Anyway,
we will still continue to utilize Spreaker. We're going to

have it set so we're able to upload new episodes.
We're gonna do that as more as recording. We also
figure it's kind of a neat way where we can
have the ability to do more feature content, especially if
we use YouTube as an exclusive there. We're gonna do
live with streaming or on there, so the new content
(08:21):
will be coming. We plan to utilize that. We can
also have the ability to go live on hang on
Brane for it there, Facebook, and on Instagram we can
go right on x we can do on all the
social platforms where we share the links to. When we
have that connected, we can actually do live episodes that
(08:43):
will automatically do that. So we're gonna utilize that and
see it as more of an upgrade so that we
can actually have videos on YouTube. Of course, you can
always catch the old episodes there. All the episodes that
we've done up to this point on YouTube are available
as well, but that's coming up there, so that's gonna
be probably an exclusive there. We're also really excited as
well because, as you guys know, we also have our
(09:03):
Twitch and our kick accounts which we've been figuring out
how to use so we can actually stream directly on there,
which is something that we've wanted to use for a
long time. So if we go out to stream so
we're going with stream Yard, we'll be able to do
that and incorporate all the major platforms that we have
there to go live. So and the idea is, again
this is still hypothetical in a sense of it's still
(09:26):
in research and development. This is kind of what we're thinking,
but we might change set things up where we do
one live show, like we maybe do a Friday or
Saturday night one live show and one we'll do a
couple of recordings here and there. We have some more
time just because of scheduling, because it's hard for us
to get together all the time to do that too.
(09:47):
So it's a possibility now if time permits and time allows,
and we find that we're able to work around scheduling
and find opportunity times to do different things, we will
incorporate more live streaming doing that, but we really do
want to continue to utilize recording because we can also
get episodes out. We can get more episodes out for
(10:08):
you guys on a regular weekly basis. We will have
the ability to do more shows, get all the content
out there, all that great stuff, and you know, because
of that, we are excited for the opportunity because we
(10:31):
feel like this is a chance where this is already
off the bat, starting off strong and starting off fresh
for a new year. This will all all plan to
take place for twenty twenty five. We're gonna ride the
gravy chain that we have as far as streaming services
right now. Of course, you know, again we're still ironing
out details. We don't have anything officially set yet, but
(10:51):
this is where we are. So we just want to
make sure that you guys are aware of this and
that you're not surprised and that we can you know,
get everything sorted out. And again, this is great because
we are seeing this as a huge upgrade. We've been
(11:12):
saying we want to figure out how we're gonna trump
this this year. So next year, starting off already with
a new platform added and new opportunities to stream live
and you'll get to see us, which is gonna be
great if we want to be on camera there, which
I probably will, A big host might we'll see if
he gets comfortable, but we have the opportunity to do that.
And again finally utilizing the Kick and the stream I'm sorry,
Kick and Twitch, which we do want to utilize more,
(11:34):
especially if we get some gaming in, but we at
least have the ability to stream on there too, will
be absolutely fantastic. So that's what we're looking at right now,
and again, if anything changes, we'll post updates for you
guys too. But we feel at this point we talked
about it a little bit, Big Hoss and iye, we
have you know, evaluated this a little bit. We've kind
(12:00):
of looked at uh, you know, pros and cons, we
looked at options, we looked at you know, all these
all these sort of things, and so, uh, you know,
we we just feel like this is obviously, this is
a great opportunity. This is something that's really incredible, really
awesome that you know, we can you know, branch out
(12:26):
there and again reach out other audiences too. We're able
to you know, we have link shared too as well.
So all that great stuff and more is what we
are looking forward to to deal with that. So that's
where that stands there. Trying to think if there's anything
else that was important we wanted to mention with that,
I don't. I don't think so. I think that's the
(12:47):
basis of it. And again we're still ironing out details.
We are still trying to make sure we have this
figured out and worked and all that great stuff, but
this is this is looking like it's going to be good,
and this is how we're going to try right and
but try to make this work. So hopefully you guys
will keep up with us on that, stay tuned for that.

But we're really excited to see how this works. You know,
we've had the exposure and using stream yard being on
pod Squad, so you know, we kind of have the
gist of how it's gonna work, how it should work,
and so forth, but you know, to actually utilize ourselves
and to implement that while not necessarily new a new
(13:32):
feature for that one there, it's a little bit different
than we're accustomed to, so we're gonna have to experiment.
It's gonna probably be trial and error until we get
things situated the way we want. But we're really excited
about it. We hope you guys are as well. So again,
if you do listen and follow on YouTube, we apologize
you can still catch old episodes there, but we won't
be posting any new content until we start streaming live
again in twenty twenty five with video this time. So

we've actually been making videos for that too, and we're
still working on some other projects to add to the
bonus there as well. So that's most of the important
updates there. Again, we'll keep you guys posting on social
media if we hear anymore anything changes on BIY all
means we will definitely reach out to you guys, let
you know right away, make sure that you know everything
and anything and everything that we know when we know,

and make sure that we keep you guys all the
pertinent information that we have. So we are going to
make sure you guys come right along with us. We're
going to keep you guys up on top of everything
going on, and we'll make sure that we do our
best to make the most of it. Again, we're trying

to make when you have lemons, you make lemonades. So
that's what we're trying to look at. But again, this
is we know, we know the big changes that coming.
We've been sharing this all throughout the year, and you know,
it's it's becoming more and more realistic as we close out.
We're getting close, you know. Again, we're at the end
of almost October at Halloween. We're doing our theme shows
this month too, so that's gonna be here before you

know it, but we are trying very hard to make
sure that we do our best to have what we
can to provide content for you guys there again too,
but it's really exciting, so we're looking forward to it.

Ryan Reynolds homes Country and you can't even have I'm
just kidding. That's fine. Let's see, these are the top
trending ones and these would go buy categories. So based

on Google search status for the past three months, these
are the top five trending Halloween costumes in Canada for adults, kids, couples, groups,
and de I wires or commonly known as do it yourselfers.
The top adult costumes are Rapunzel, A Mermaid, Harley Quinn,
Monster High, and Toy Story. Interesting quite what I picked
there for that one. Top kid costumes are number one

Taylor Swift. I would have thought that, well, I guess
it makes sense for kids. But number two A Clown,
Number three Harley Quinn, number four A Skeleton, number five Barbie.
So Harley Quinn makes the list on adult and children
list of favorites. Top costumes, and here it comes again
with another one. Top couple's costumes based from the film

Joker to Folly. Do we have Joker and Harley Quinn?
Number two is Burt and Ernie. Number three Bonnie and Clyde.
Number four Barbie and Ken and number five a classic

just want to make another announcement. The big announcement for
the week so far is we will no longer be
uploading to YouTube currently as of now post date, probably

till the end of this year. And we found out
about this through Spreaker. They contacted us and said that YouTube,
for whatever reason, they determined they separate ties, cut the
ties of the social distribution of being able to distribute
episodes from the RSS feed that share. Upon further investigation
from YouTube's and it looks like it's because somehow the
(46:39):
guidelines and policies have changed where they no longer support
podcast RSS feeds that integrate or have ads integrated into them,
which unfortunately against Speaker does. But as we said, we
are planning to launch a new we and knew it
for us, We've used it elsewhere, but we're gonna be launching.
It looks like stream yard and we're gonna be going live.
(47:01):
We'll be on the airway there. Of course, you know
two Spreaker is changing, so we're gonna be using the
platform here to mostly upload new episodes from other shows
when we can, but we're also gonna use the streamind
feature to continue the live feature that we can do
there as well. The only difference will be when we
do live episodes that should have prefaced this in the
beginning too. The only ways to watch it live will
(47:25):
be on the social streaming services there unless we can
integrate others we have to see. But most of the
other episodes, like the audio only versions, will be listened
to like Spreaker, Spotify, iHeartRadio, SoundCloud. Those will be episodes
that will be uploaded from Spreaker here. We're gonna utilize
that just to ensure that we get episodes for just
listeners that want to hear us on audio only. But
(47:46):
YouTube will finally be able to use that to have
live We can be on camera, we can be on
there making videos there, incorporating that directly onto our social
media platforms, as well as adding our Kick and Twitch channels.
Hopefully haven't tried the kick yet we're gonna see, but
great opportunity to expand and to grow. So that's what's
coming up on the pike. That is looking to be
coming up in twenty twenty five, which we are getting
(48:09):
closer to, so make sure you guys stay tuned for that.
We'll keep you posted for more when we get closer,
but just to give that announcement for you there too,
so we apologize for any inconvenience, but you will be
able to listen to episodes on the other platforms and
then we'll rejump start YouTube in twenty twenty five. Unless
we can find a way to upload from one of
the other services that we have there might integrate that.

Hoss not joining us unfortunately dealing with the loss of
a friend of his who passed away the other evening,
So taking a break. We're gonna recoup and then come

We just wanted to share some important information updates with
you guys and chat a little bit with you here,

No word on that as of yet, but that's something
that everybody's got busy schedule, so we will try to
iron that out and have that figured out soon time
to be determined. TVD will make sure that we post
updates there for you guys. All right, So I want
to get right into the media this because we did
(04:18):
post this on social media. We posted all across that
we could, but we want to announce it here because
we know sometimes you guys might miss it or you
don't get the you don't see those excuse me links
posted there. But but we had an unexpected announcement this
(04:39):
week that we sort of came across by accident, but
we wouldn't have known otherwise. Really glad at least that
we investigated that, and for further detail too, we're going
to cover here in a second, But we learned actually
from updating the studio software realizing that the YouTube channel
was no longer attached to Spreaker. We weren't sure exactly why.
(05:02):
Upon further investigations, specifically looking at the checking to see
if there was an email in regards to that, which
thankfully there was to give us some insight. So we
were notified from Speaker directly that due to some changes
with YouTube, without any warning whatsoever, they have effectively cut
(05:24):
ties and severed a partnership with Spreaker and allowing uploading
and distribution from other platforms, most notably speaker dot com,
which is what you guys know, the main platform that
we use. We did verify that, we checked it out,
did some research there on YouTube's and to try to
find out a little more information. So how it basically
(05:48):
came about and what we believe based on the information
that we received is that the reason this has happened
is due to some policy changes things. Obviously, you guys
know YouTube and Google are partnered up and merged. What
we read based on YouTube's description is they no longer
(06:08):
accept an RSS feed from podcast platforms that have ads
that are integrated into the software, which is essentially and
basically is what Spreaker does. So unfortunate. Yes, what does
that mean, Well, that's what we're gonna tell you want
to cover that here, so you guys are aware of that.
So due to the fact that this has come out
(06:31):
of the blue, come out of nowhere, there there's really
at this point we haven't found a way to adjust
and adapt to that yet. The bottom line basis that
we've determined at this point in time, and obviously to
the remainder of the year which we are coming up.
We're coming to the end of October, so that's going
to be sooner rather than later. But we will no
longer be streaming or adding new episodes of the shows
(06:54):
on YouTube currently because we really at this point we can't.
So unfortunately, we love to do that, but we can't.
It's out of our hands, out of our control. We
can't do anything. We apologize for the inconvenience. They're the
same thing with Spreaker. They said the same thing too,
there's nothing they can do. It was they got caught
completely off guard. So it's just it's one of those
things that happened all the way around. So what we
(07:15):
are going to do, though, is we are going to
adjust and plan around that. And how we are going
to do that is which we can't share with you
a little bit here, and nothing is official yet because
we are still working on it. But we are looking
to add a stream yard as a streaming service for us.
If you guys don't know that, we use typically on
the pod Squad. If you've seen us there, you know
(07:37):
that we that's how we go on that. You can
see us live on the airway. You can see us
on camera, So which we figure is gonna be great.
We're gonna utilize that. We're gonna upgrade that because also,
as you guys know too, what the Spreaker platform is changing,
we're not gonna be able to be live there anymore. Anyway,
we will still continue to utilize Spreaker. We're going to
(07:59):
have it set so we're able to upload new episodes.
We're gonna do that as more as recording. We also
figure it's kind of a neat way where we can
have the ability to do more feature content, especially if
we use YouTube as an exclusive there. We're gonna do
live with streaming or on there, so the new content
(08:21):
will be coming. We plan to utilize that. We can
also have the ability to go live on hang on
Brane for it there, Facebook, and on Instagram we can
go right on x we can do on all the
social platforms where we share the links to. When we
have that connected, we can actually do live episodes that
(08:43):
will automatically do that. So we're gonna utilize that and
see it as more of an upgrade so that we
can actually have videos on YouTube. Of course, you can
always catch the old episodes there. All the episodes that
we've done up to this point on YouTube are available
as well, but that's coming up there, so that's gonna
be probably an exclusive there. We're also really excited as
well because, as you guys know, we also have our
(09:03):
Twitch and our kick accounts which we've been figuring out
how to use so we can actually stream directly on there,
which is something that we've wanted to use for a
long time. So if we go out to stream so
we're going with stream Yard, we'll be able to do
that and incorporate all the major platforms that we have
there to go live. So and the idea is, again
this is still hypothetical in a sense of it's still
(09:26):
in research and development. This is kind of what we're thinking,
but we might change set things up where we do
one live show, like we maybe do a Friday or
Saturday night one live show and one we'll do a
couple of recordings here and there. We have some more
time just because of scheduling, because it's hard for us
to get together all the time to do that too.
(09:47):
So it's a possibility now if time permits and time allows,
and we find that we're able to work around scheduling
and find opportunity times to do different things, we will
incorporate more live streaming doing that, but we really do
want to continue to utilize recording because we can also
get episodes out. We can get more episodes out for
(10:08):
you guys on a regular weekly basis. We will have
the ability to do more shows, get all the content
out there, all that great stuff, and you know, because
of that, we are excited for the opportunity because we
(10:31):
feel like this is a chance where this is already
off the bat, starting off strong and starting off fresh
for a new year. This will all all plan to
take place for twenty twenty five. We're gonna ride the
gravy chain that we have as far as streaming services
right now. Of course, you know, again we're still ironing
out details. We don't have anything officially set yet, but
(10:51):
this is where we are. So we just want to
make sure that you guys are aware of this and
that you're not surprised and that we can you know,
get everything sorted out. And again, this is great because
we are seeing this as a huge upgrade. We've been
(11:12):
saying we want to figure out how we're gonna trump
this this year. So next year, starting off already with
a new platform added and new opportunities to stream live
and you'll get to see us, which is gonna be
great if we want to be on camera there, which
I probably will, A big host might we'll see if
he gets comfortable, but we have the opportunity to do that.
And again finally utilizing the Kick and the stream I'm sorry,
Kick and Twitch, which we do want to utilize more,
(11:34):
especially if we get some gaming in, but we at
least have the ability to stream on there too, will
be absolutely fantastic. So that's what we're looking at right now,
and again, if anything changes, we'll post updates for you
guys too. But we feel at this point we talked
about it a little bit, Big Hoss and iye, we
have you know, evaluated this a little bit. We've kind
(12:00):
of looked at uh, you know, pros and cons, we
looked at options, we looked at you know, all these
all these sort of things, and so, uh, you know,
we we just feel like this is obviously, this is
a great opportunity. This is something that's really incredible, really
awesome that you know, we can you know, branch out
(12:26):
there and again reach out other audiences too. We're able
to you know, we have link shared too as well.
So all that great stuff and more is what we
are looking forward to to deal with that. So that's
where that stands there. Trying to think if there's anything
else that was important we wanted to mention with that,
I don't. I don't think so. I think that's the
(12:47):
basis of it. And again we're still ironing out details.
We are still trying to make sure we have this
figured out and worked and all that great stuff, but
this is this is looking like it's going to be good,
and this is how we're going to try right and
but try to make this work. So hopefully you guys
will keep up with us on that, stay tuned for that.

But we're really excited to see how this works. You know,
we've had the exposure and using stream yard being on
pod Squad, so you know, we kind of have the
gist of how it's gonna work, how it should work,
and so forth, but you know, to actually utilize ourselves
and to implement that while not necessarily new a new

feature for that one there, it's a little bit different
than we're accustomed to, so we're gonna have to experiment.
It's gonna probably be trial and error until we get
things situated the way we want. But we're really excited
about it. We hope you guys are as well. So again,
if you do listen and follow on YouTube, we apologize
you can still catch old episodes there, but we won't
be posting any new content until we start streaming live
again in twenty twenty five with video this time. So

we've actually been making videos for that too, and we're
still working on some other projects to add to the
bonus there as well. So that's most of the important
updates there. Again, we'll keep you guys posting on social
media if we hear anymore anything changes on BIY all
means we will definitely reach out to you guys, let

and anything and everything that we know when we know,

and make sure that we keep you guys all the
pertinent information that we have. So we are going to

that's what we're trying to look at. But again, this
is we know, we know the big changes that coming.
We've been sharing this all throughout the year, and you know,
it's it's becoming more and more realistic as we close out.
We're getting close, you know. Again, we're at the end
of almost October at Halloween. We're doing our theme shows
this month too, so that's gonna be here before you

know it, but we are trying very hard to make
sure that we do our best to have what we
can to provide content for you guys there again too,
but it's really exciting, so we're looking forward to it.

on Google search status for the past three months, these
are the top five trending Halloween costumes in Canada for adults, kids, couples, groups,
and de I wires or commonly known as do it yourselfers.
The top adult costumes are Rapunzel, A Mermaid, Harley Quinn,
Monster High, and Toy Story. Interesting quite what I picked
there for that one. Top kid costumes are number one

Taylor Swift. I would have thought that, well, I guess
it makes sense for kids. But number two A Clown,
Number three Harley Quinn, number four A Skeleton, number five Barbie.
So Harley Quinn makes the list on adult and children
list of favorites. Top costumes, and here it comes again
with another one. Top couple's costumes based from the film

Joker to Folly. Do we have Joker and Harley Quinn?
Number two is Burt and Ernie. Number three Bonnie and Clyde.
Number four Barbie and Ken and number five a classic

the week so far is we will no longer be
uploading to YouTube currently as of now post date, probably

till the end of this year. And we found out
about this through Spreaker. They contacted us and said that YouTube,
for whatever reason, they determined they separate ties, cut the
ties of the social distribution of being able to distribute
episodes from the RSS feed that share. Upon further investigation
from YouTube's and it looks like it's because somehow the
(46:39):
guidelines and policies have changed where they no longer support
podcast RSS feeds that integrate or have ads integrated into them,
which unfortunately against Speaker does. But as we said, we
are planning to launch a new we and knew it
for us, We've used it elsewhere, but we're gonna be launching.
It looks like stream yard and we're gonna be going live.
(47:01):
We'll be on the airway there. Of course, you know
two Spreaker is changing, so we're gonna be using the
platform here to mostly upload new episodes from other shows
when we can, but we're also gonna use the streamind
feature to continue the live feature that we can do
there as well. The only difference will be when we
do live episodes that should have prefaced this in the
beginning too. The only ways to watch it live will
(47:25):
be on the social streaming services there unless we can
integrate others we have to see. But most of the
other episodes, like the audio only versions, will be listened
to like Spreaker, Spotify, iHeartRadio, SoundCloud. Those will be episodes
that will be uploaded from Spreaker here. We're gonna utilize
that just to ensure that we get episodes for just
listeners that want to hear us on audio only. But
(47:46):
YouTube will finally be able to use that to have
live We can be on camera, we can be on
there making videos there, incorporating that directly onto our social
media platforms, as well as adding our Kick and Twitch channels.
Hopefully haven't tried the kick yet we're gonna see, but
great opportunity to expand and to grow. So that's what's
coming up on the pike. That is looking to be
coming up in twenty twenty five, which we are getting
(48:09):
closer to, so make sure you guys stay tuned for that.
We'll keep you posted for more when we get closer,
but just to give that announcement for you there too,
so we apologize for any inconvenience, but you will be
able to listen to episodes on the other platforms and
then we'll rejump start YouTube in twenty twenty five. Unless
we can find a way to upload from one of
